At Radio Rental, we carry one of our kind videos, so frightening, so mind-bending, you won't be able to sleep at night. You've gone, Radio Rental. [MUSIC] Welcome to Radio Rental. Hi, everybody. Come on in. It's me. It's me. It's Ricky Lee. And you are here at Radio Rental, a video rental shop with a collection of some of the scariest stories you are ever gone here. Now, let's get right down to business today. I know you want to hear one of these. Baby for it. So, Ricky Lee, give it to me. Well, I'm going to do it. Here it is. [MUSIC] In the afternoons, I work on an organic farm and I run a farmer's market for them on Saturdays. So, I had a great day at the farmer's market. I had sold out everything and I really wanted to pair of overalls so I went over to Goodwill to see if I could pick some up. When I got to Goodwill, I got my cart. I was shopping. Everything was fine. When I was over in the house where I felt someone watching me. I just had a very strange sensation that someone was staring at me. I turned around and standing directly behind me was this girl. About 18 to 25. She was very pale. She had long dark hair. She didn't have anything in her hands, no purse, no phone, anything. She was dressed all in black and she was just standing there looking at me. Her eyes were black, so black and scary when she looked at me. Almost like her peoples were dilated and she was just staring. It was just a soulless stare right directly at me. She never spoke, she never made. I've been a nurse for over 20 years. When I looked at her, my first thought was not that she was having a medical emergency. She didn't appear to be on drugs, she didn't appear to be having any kind of medical episode. She did not look alive. My first thought was that there was something wrong that she did not belong on this plane or on this earth. She just chilled me to the bone. Every muscle and bone in my body was saying to get away from her as quickly as possible. So I started pushing my cart away from her. And not only did I want to get away from her, I wanted to get out of that store. And that is the one thing that really scared me happened. I just turned my head to the left and where she had been in the aisle behind me. Suddenly she was in the next aisle over right beside me. It was like she had teleported over there. There was no way possible she could admit that fast. It wasn't human. One moment she was behind me and the next she was beside me and across a different aisle. I may have taken four steps away from her before I turned and looked and she was right beside me across the other aisle. Absolutely humanly impossible for her to admit that fast. I knew that there was something wrong with her. I knew that it wouldn't be anywhere near her. I was very frightened and I decided I would just leave. When I was leaving the store, I happened to run into my niece and her family. On my way out as I was walking out the door, they were coming in. I normally would stop. I might have spent some time with them, but I had to go. I didn't want to be in that store with her anymore. We just stopped and said hello. I was surprised to see them because they were not usually in my town. Said hello to them. I hugged the kids and then I left. I just had to leave. I was trying to forget that it happened and trying not to think about her. I never turned around to look see where she was. I didn't want to know where she was going to be next. I was worried that she was the Grand Reaper and that she had come for me. I was worried that maybe she was bringing me a message from beyond that I wouldn't want to hear. I thought that perhaps she was attached to something in the store. I had a lot of different theories, a lot of them. One of which being that it was just my imagination. I got home and I live alone and I knew if I thought about that all night I wouldn't sleep all night. So I have a box in my head with a lid. I put it in that box and I shut it and I tried not to think about it for the rest of the night. It was probably about 9 o'clock. I had really done a good job of trying not to think about it because it was time to get a bed. I got a text from my niece's husband and it said, "Really odd question." But did you happen to notice a girl in Goodwill today? Probably about 18 to 25. Long black hair, dressed all in black, looked eemey. I was more afraid than I had been all day long. I had been able to convince myself that that was probably my imagination. But as soon as I got the text from him, I knew that someone else had seen her too. And I knew that someone else knew that there was something wrong with her. It just confirmed all of my fears, all of my suspicions. Instead of texting, I picked up the phone to call in and that's when I told him, "Don't talk, don't say anything. I don't want to hear what you have to say." Because I knew he was going to confirm that whatever I saw was really, really bad. I didn't know where she was. When I left the store, I refused to look back. I didn't know if this was something that had attached itself to me and had come home with me. I didn't know anything about it. I just knew that it was something very, very bad and that he was about to confirm that for me. We had a conversation about it anyway. He asked me how I seen her and I told him that I had. He said that he had seen her, that he immediately was frightened, that no one else had seen her. His wife thought he was crazy and thought he was making it up and he was calling me to confirm. And our descriptions were exactly the same. The way she looked, the way her eyes were black, the dreadful feelings she gave us, our story's match point by point. I don't think he had any idea that I was going to say yes. I saw her too. I hung up the phone. I made sure all the doors were locked. I had all the lights on. I look handles. I said prayers. I was scared. I was scared for the rest of the night. I ended up staying up very, very late that night because I was too scared to go back to sleep. I considered calling the goodwill and asking if anyone there, any of their employees had seen her and seen about security footage. But then again, I'm not sure if I would want to see that again. I never make that call. I never wanted to lay eyes on her again. I know that she's still out there. I know that she was real. I still don't know what she wants in. That's something that if I allowed myself to think about it too much, might keep me up for the rest of my life. I think that some people are more sensitive to things than others. And I think that some people are more open to seeing things than others. I just happen to be able to see her, and I think the same thing about Annie's husband. I think that she was present in the store, whether her belongings had been donated and she wanted them back, or she was there for somebody else, and I just happen to see her. I think I'm just one of those unlucky ones who gets glimpses of the other side sometimes. Oh my word. That was just weird. You ever see like those old women that have those old fat chihuahua dogs that have the frosty cataract eyes, and be honest. You're scared to look at the dog in the face because I swear they're trying to hypnotize you. That's what they're trying to do. So you got to be careful when you're out and like at the grocery store and you go around the corner, and there's a cataract dog right there. You almost run over, probably would have got sued for all your words. You know what I'm saying. Alright, let's do some ads. Well, that's it for today folks. Psych! No, I'm kidding. Now, I'm going to play you one more story. Remember, I'm the fun uncle. My husband Nate and I had planned a ski trip to search Montresor. It was a bit last minute, so we were kind of going to just road trip it. I'd taken the day off work, but we did leave about mid-afternoon from our home, search months like a six hour drive. We folded down the back seat, and then we had our boards, our winter gear, comfy, boots, helmets, like all of that back there. And honestly, we were pretty unorganized and throwing it back there, so it was just a mess. We have the back seat folded down, all our gears jumbled in the back. And it was both of our first times going through Suzan Marie. There's not much going on. Typically, if we had up north, it's in the summer months, but yeah, the winter, it was a bit of a ghost town. It's January. There's just nobody out. There's no tourism. It's completely empty. So crossing the border just fell off. Everything just had a gray, like, hue to it. It felt very empty, like, like no one's home here. We ended up finding just a super small restaurant. We had a wonderful dinner, and it was just at the point where like, okay, well, we saw the city, let's head out. When we walked out, it kind of looked like everything was like closing down, and we didn't see anybody when we're leaving. The downtown area was just kind of eerily quiet. Randomly, while we were walking up to the car, I just took a picture of my husband while he was opening the door. Just to know how empty the city was, it just seemed so off. No one's on the street. But there's no other cars by ours. Like, our car is the only one parked in front of it for miles. You see, like, this beautiful fresh snow, but nothing else around. It's a Friday night, and just no one. So we crossed the border at about 7 p.m. It's full night at this point. It's 8 p.m. There's nothing going on, so we just decided to get to the resort. The roads are shit. It's going to take us a long time. We might as well get on the road and get it over with. We decided to drive my Kia, thinking it'd be fine for the conditions, but the roads were absolutely a nightmare. The roads were absolute shit, and our little crossover was spinning out at every turn. It's quite beautiful, but a bit scary for the vehicle. We were driving. So about 20 minutes into the drive, my husband, who was driving, starts to wiggle and squirm. He rarely complains about anything ever. And that's why, like, when he finally said something, like, something's bothering me, it just seemed so off. I asked him what's wrong, and he says, "I'm not sure. I just feel like something keeps pushing on my seat." It's driving me crazy. He said he was feeling the pull of his seatbelt, but it was when the whole seat started pushing forward. He felt like something was actually wrong with the car. But he's just squirming and fidgeting, and finally I stopped, and I'm just like, "What's wrong?" And he said that something just keeps pushing on the seat, and I don't know what it is. I look, and it's completely dark in the car. I reach behind him. I try to move this bag, and I can't figure out what it is. When he was so dark in the car, so it was like hard to see anything. But it looked like the outline of my ski jacket, which is a white jacket. And I thought maybe he'd went through some of our gear bags and just pulled it out while he's moving stuff around or whatever. And then I kept just trying to move this bag, mass, whatever, and I was pushing it, pulling it, adjusting it. And there was no give, and I couldn't get it out of the way. I don't know what it is. It's like a dead body or something. I turn the dome lights on in the car, turn back around to see, in the back seat of my car, is a body laying face down. I was a bit in disbelief at first. I'm not actually seeing this. My eyes will adjust, and I'll realize what I'm actually looking at, right? Like the bags are just positioned where it looks like a body. This can't be a body, and then I just kept staring at it. Then the body sits up. All I saw was this old, haggard face. It looked like the witch from Snow White. And her mouth was just drooped open, and it just scared the shit out of me. I scream. I scream. I scream at the top of my lungs. Nape pull over the car. I actually blacked out. My last memory is of her sitting up. And I was paralyzed. I freaked out. And I remember just screaming, and that's it. Nate was the one who said that. I said, pull over, pull over, pull over, because he had no idea it was going on. He steps the car and jump out. He gets out of the car, grips up in the back seat, and he sees the person, and aggressively shouts. Get the fuck out of the car. Yeah, it was just absolute chaos. They try to crouch back in the vehicle, and they demands that they get away from the car. Initially, I thought that this was a man. However, once they began speaking, I realized it was a woman. Once you realized it was a woman, I just felt like bad for her, right? And like, I kind of wanted to help her. Her name was Christina. We're not mad at you. You just scared the living shit out of us, and then she laughed. They were in the middle of winter waiting for the police to come. 40 minutes later, Super Troll Car was arrived. She actually went running up to the first officer, and it was this guy, and he kind of like I said it was going on. And when we were talking to the second officer, I looked back and I saw that the first officer was doing like the search. And that's when I saw him pull out the knife. And that's when I was just like, holy shit. Once Nate and I got back in the car, we gave each other a giant hug and just kept going on a loop about how insane this was. She could have like stabbed us, or if she would have felt threatened in any way, right? Anything. At the restaurant, I took a couple of pictures of my husband while he was opening the door. And the craziest thing is Christina is in these pictures. We didn't realize it, so he when he was opening the door, he was looking back at me instead of like at the car. And so it's like he didn't even like look in the back seat because I did that. It's crazy because you know that's one of like the ultimate horror movie scenes, right? You're driving and someone's in your back seat, but that doesn't actually happen. And for some whatever reason, I just kind of have it in my head that there's no way that this will happen twice, right? So I don't feel fearful. I don't overly obsessively look in my back seat. I think I'm so glad it worked out and that we're okay, but there's no way that this could happen twice, right? No, no, no, no, no, sorry. No, thank you. Hey, if you're going to hit your right, do it the old faster way. Big thumb out on the side of the road. That I can respect. But hey, don't be sneaking up on old Ricky Lee because I got lightning fast reflexes and I cannot be held accountable if I do a karate chop or a judy chop and knock you right into the next dimension. Add break. Woo boy, yeah, that was worth it. That was worth it. All right, folks, well, this time we're done for real. No more tape, seriously. I got to respect the usual format. Don't want y'all getting too greedy on me, which in fact is why you can't feed wild squirrels because they just keep coming back for more. And y'all are like squirrels on here sometimes in this scenario, seriously. So you can go get you nuts somewhere else, okay? Okay, next week I'm getting a toothbrush maybe more than one. So you might get a visit from one of my friends, but stay tuned for that. And I'm sorry, Melika. I know you don't like having a babysitter, but I can't let you run loose on you. I can't. I don't trust you. Radio Rental is created by Payne Lindsay and brought to you by Tenorfoot TV. Showrunner is Meredith Stedman. Lead producer is Eric Quintana.
