So without further ado, let's get started. Hey, there.
I'm Emily, the owner of the Threads.
How can we use QR codes for e-commerce?
QR codes for e-commerce, of course, are huge.
Why? Because, for example, we have a feature called a multi-year-old QR code,
where you people, when they have a package, when it arrives in a different country,
right, if you do cross-border e-commerce, that people scan and they have it in their own language.
That, I think, is a big, big thing for e-commerce. E-commerce is something that not only is going
local, but it's going global, right? And that, I think, is important to really tailor your
marketing and your information to your target customer. If a target customer speaks French,
and they get information in English, that's not helpful for them, right?
So in this way, I do believe a feature like we have multi-year-old QR code, that's one QR code,
but depending on the location, we will have a different target link. This could be a video,
this could be on your website, the page that you have some more information. Just give an example,
bottle of wine, you scan it, and you are in Germany, you will see some German information,
you are scanning that same QR code in Brazil at the same time, and you will get your information
in Portuguese, right? So these are helps, for example, customers to really better understand the
product that they bought, how instructions, how to use it, because that's also one of the pain
puts that people get, they buy something online, okay, great, how I'm now going to put this thing
together, right? So this kind of information, it's all about engagement, but also informing the
customer in a great way, so they can have the best experience when buying from your website.
Yeah, exactly Ben. This is where some businesses are lacking actually, because of course,
a lot of season marketers already know that the more that you personalize your brand,
your efforts for your customers, the more that your brand will stand out, because, for example,
it just shows that you're a more customer centric company, because you're taking all this
extra mile, extra effort for showing that you care about your customers, and that includes
using multi URL QR codes for your e-commerce business and providing all these other personal
languages for whenever IP address that your customers are using, for example, they live in China,
and of course, they would totally appreciate it even more if they had like a Chinese translation
at the ready when they scan your QR code or when they buy your product. It just shows that you're
a totally different player in the market, and they will totally remember your brand even more,
because you cared more about them. E-commerce is a global thing, but people are still very local
if it goes through getting a product, and it's giving that local experience in a global scale,
that I think is what is the power of e-commerce, and that's how I think e-commerce can be
something more, right? Many people buy things, think about it. When you want to have a new
target market with your website, you also translate your website in different language.
So, when you're giving information to a customer by a jar, why is that information
not in their language? That's the question you need to ask yourself. So, this is actually
closing the circle, making sure that the whole experience for that customer is well done
as a brand. Exactly, especially if you're doing cross-border e-commerce, then it only makes sense
to reach out to as much like customers in their local language, and so that's really
good to use multi-URL QR codes in your campaign. All right, so let's move on to the next question.
Hey, I'm Max from the Buzzing Beeive Office. We have trouble organizing our office equipment and
supplies, and we're thinking of using QR codes. Can you give us a quick rundown on how QR
codes can help us with asset management? And what kind of QR code scanner should we use for
maximum efficiency? So, QR codes definitely can be a great tool in offices. Also, because
people have lots of products, you can put a QR code on it with a serial number. People scan it,
it knows where the product is, where who use it latest, such kind of information can be helpful
for in an office. It can also, you know, in offices are a lot of papers, but with a QR code,
you can make less papers, everything can be combed digitalized, right? So this also helps people
in offices of betting experiences. How many times you go in an office and you say, what's the Wi-Fi,
you can have a QR code, people scan, they can connect to the Wi-Fi. So I see QR codes working
in very different levels in an office to again create more efficiency within an office space. And
that I think is the main thing. Also, for example, people have great IDs in your office, but then
they're able to communicate it to you, but it can be a QR code on the wall that says, scan and share
your great IDs, right? So people can understand what could be improved in the office, so how
flows can be better. I think in an office, there's a lot of people that always have great IDs,
but they're afraid to vote it, but if they can do it anonymous through a QR code, then you have
that feedback and you can make your office experience 10 times better. Then I believe is the power
of a QR code to be in an office. Yeah, because sometimes these QR codes that you mean Ben are
mainly like for those introverted office mates that we have, of course, like what during meetings,
it's always like the loudest, most confident people who can speak their mind. They don't always have
to be correct, but like they're always the ones that are talking, you know, but for those introverted
office mates, of course, you can provide totally provide these QR codes for feedback for providing
their suggestions for important decisions in the company as well. So that one of those who
important things that you can provide, like giving that extra effort for your company and for your
employees. Right. Yeah, I think you're good. We use them a little in our office, so I think it's
something that I'm sure that other offices will start to use as well. And we can see that also from
customers coming to us, asking you as questions, right? And also chat GPT was asking us earlier,
what's a good QR code scanner? Or do you just use your phone, the camera? Well, I would always say
today your phone can take the position of the scanner. Of course, your attacker has a free scanner
that you can use, but theoretically your phone has a built-in scanner already in your camera feature,
right? So I think you don't really need an extra scanner, but still you can have extra
scanners. It can help benefit. Many people still are not aware that by just switching on their
camera and pointing at the QR codes that they can scan a QR code, it's as easy as that.
So what's the easier now? Like, especially? Hi, I'm Hannah, the Director of Art Pop,
a contemporary art museum. We're looking for innovative ways to engage our visitors with the
art exhibits, and we think QR codes could be a solution. Can you tell us more about how QR
codes can be used in the cultural industry to enhance visitors' experience? And what are some
creative ways other museums have used QR codes to engage visitors and promote their exhibits?
So QR codes definitely in the cultural industry are huge, right? People can actually scan,
listen to an audio guide, you know, you have all those paintings, but it can also again be used
for an AR experience. You have a painting, you scan it, you can see something moving,
and something can be more informative. So I do believe definitely in the cultural industry,
there can be a lot of things done with the QR code to create a whole different museum experience,
right? And that I think is also again here, again, the benefit. Mostly in a museum, you need to
have this light of audio guides on your ears, but you know, your phone is already most people
have also ear plugs that they can plug in that are even wireless these days, right? So you can scan,
you can hear through information, it's just again a tool to engage the customer and to enrich
their experience, it's a great information, and that I think is a goal of a museum, you know,
create a great experience in the same time, provide lovely information about what people see.
Yeah, that's right. And even what I can imagine with using QR codes is for arts and culture,
is with a pop-up exhibit, you know, even if it's just for the government side or when you're doing
it in schools, like museums, doing pop-up exhibits in schools, it's very important that they provide
these QR codes as a supplement to these art forms, like paintings or sculptures or whatever,
because these students are totally curious about the story behind these art exhibits, but of course
they have these new tools now, their phones, so you have to reach on their level, you have to
understand their language right now, these new generation, and adding QR codes to your exhibits
will totally enhance the experience for that. Also, for promotion, QR codes can, we have a social
media QR code, you scan it, and you have different social media that you can follow on, so you can
understand what is going to come next in the museum, if there's a new exhibition, so in this way,
it's also else people to get more followers on social media. So it's again, QR codes can be used
in a marketing site, as in the engaging site within the museum, and that I think is the benefit here
again, with a very simple thing as a QR code, you can do awards and create a great experience.
Yeah, that's correct, our social media QR code actually has a feature where you can put not just
one social media channel, but all your social media links in one social media QR code, so you can
have all these people, visitors scanning this code and following you on all your social media
platform, that's a good promotion.
of well. Alright, let's head through the next question.
Hey, there, I'm Max, the owner of Funky Fines, a retail store that specializes in unique
gifts and accessories. We're looking for ways to improve our customer's shopping experience,
and we heard that QR codes might be the answer. Can you tell us how QR codes can be used
to enhance the shopping experience? And what are some creative ways other retailers
have used QR codes to drive sales and customer engagement?
So one of the best examples that I've seen in retail was Tecatlone, where you could scan
a QR code, you could read comments of the goods right so you actually come on a page
where you also can see reviews, you can order it, you can go through the store, in the
end you walk out of the store without any back and will be shipped to your home. That
I found a great experience where e-commerce and retail go hand in hand and where the whole
experience is not like, okay, I'm gonna buy and now I need to care all those big bags,
but no, I'm gonna buy and all those bags are shipped to my home, so I can later go to
the movies with my friends and I'll need to think about where I'm gonna store those
big bags. So that's one thing. It's also about, again, informing people, when people are
in retail, how many times you're standing in a bunch of bottles of wine and you're like,
okay, which one I gotta choose? You know, you scan, you can see the story behind the
wine, you understand why it's, which, which food it can match. So it's kind of informing
the customer, giving her more rich experience and then, of course, will drive sales automatically,
right? That's a totally awesome experience when you're a shopper because there are some
people, especially women, I think, personally, I feel like you're in the size of still. If
you want these shoes, you have to fit them first and then you have to think about it, especially
if they're quite expensive. So then that option for a QR code and then have it delivered
to your house. When you're sure of your purchase, if you really want to buy it, that's a totally
game changer for a retail industry. So I do believe retail, if they would use wifi and
internet within the space because not always people have a good connection with wifi, but
if you just could come in the shop, you can connect to the wifi, you can have also experiences
in the shop. Retail is huge within the space of QR codes. That's actually where QR codes
make a lot of sense from the offline to the online and people are anyway bringing their
phones. So it's a thing where if retail does that well, I think they can even beat e-commerce
or compliment with e-commerce on a very strong level because people still love to go and
touch the real product instead of just looking online and see what it is, right? So that
I think is the great experience that you still have from retail. A woman once told me, Benjamin
you can't imagine how much pleasure a woman has when she goes shopping. Exactly. And having
all these personal experiences, like even for example, with makeup, it's like you see all
the ingredients there that it's vegan, it's cruelty free, when you scan the QR code and
then that will, you know, that the brand is trustworthy and it's totally worth buying, you
know, all these other details that you can add with your QR code for retail. So that's
really also, let's go to the next question. As a manager at Bruhaha, I noticed that our
customers are interested in learning more about the coffee beans we use and their origins.
How can we use QR codes to provide them with more information without cluttering up our
menu boards or causing long wait times at the register? So definitely when people are enjoying
a cup of coffee, they can scan, they can see the story behind the coffee where it comes
from the source saying the story behind it, right? I think that's always a rich information
to have. But I think QR codes can also be used to order coffee, right? Where you have
a QR code, you see that now in many restaurants, you click and you don't need to wait in the queue
anymore because that's not a great experience. And when your coffee is ready, they call your
number or whatever you can go and pick it up. I think in such way, QR codes can be. And
we do that a little bit with menu tag, right? That's one of our software that allows people
to order automatically and even pay. So it helps the restaurant to be working more efficiently.
But also for the customer experience, people can, when they have the cup of coffee scan and
have a story around the coffee. I think it's also again enriching the experience of the
customer related to the project that you offer to them, right? It doesn't not only gone
for coffee, it can come for any product out there that people can consume. Yeah, it's
actually really perfect as well, especially for this third wave of coffee business where
people are more aware of where their coffee stores and where that pays the acidity, they
want to be particular with that. So for even bigger coffee shops, they have all these
on display, all these coffees where they come from. So people are their regular customers
can just scan the code or where's this from? It's from Ethiopia and they can read the
story and all these other details like how how best to blend it, roast it and even grind
it. So they're more guided that way. So it's a totally personal experience. That would
be really great for coffee shops as well. So you can get some ideas from that. Exactly.
All right, let's head to the next question. Hi, I'm Pontex from Bold Manufacturing. We're
having trouble keeping track of our inventory and distribution process. Can you suggest
how QR codes can help us simplify the process and improve efficiency?
QR codes, of course, in manufacturing can be helped through the process of manufacturing
of products. They can be QR code only. It's people can scan, can understand which part
is where in the manufacturing process, where it needs to be, where it needs to be stored,
certain information, all kind of information that helps the whole manufacturer flow go
more efficiently. Because like I say, many products are being used in a manufacturing process,
but not always people know where it needs to go. And of course, when the product is ready,
also, a QR code can help again in the flow of where a product needs to go to the end destination
or where it needs to be shipped. So this can, I think, is the thing where a QR code can be helpful
within a manufacturing process. Yeah, and the way I see it, Venice, we're
for example, for managers at every step of the way and every department just scan the QR code or
in the next instructions there, if there are any special instructions for these types of
products, then everything will be aligned. Everything, the process will be so much smoother in that way.
So I think that we will be able to totally help these, the manufacturing industry to streamline
their processes. Sometimes things also get manufactured in different places. They need to cross
from one warehouse to another warehouse, so the information goes with it. And then I think it's
where a QR code is again, similar like in logistics kind of logistics is where a product needs
to go to the end consumer, but in a warehouse, products also need to move around and it's
this information that people need to know for the assembling and all these kind of things
over product drive. Yeah, exactly. And let's go to the next question.
As the founder of Luxgood's, a luxury brand, I'm interested in exploring the use of QR
codes to enhance our customer's experiences. We're looking for an expert's advice on how QR
codes can help us solve the challenge of tracking the authenticity and provenance of our high-end
products. Can you suggest some innovative ways to incorporate QR codes into our branding and
product packaging? So QR codes are great against counterfeit, right? People can actually scan a QR
code when it's already in the packaging and you can see if it's real, they can go to a website
that they can see that is from the company. There can be a number that is unique, the QR code can
have also something unique within it. There can be something more like a code within that QR code
that people need to enter. So there's different ways that people can actually realize that the product
was of counterfeit or actually a real product, right? So in this way, I think QR codes can be
definitely. But in luxury, it can also be used for different levels again to engage your customer.
So not only counterfeit as a boring thing, but counterfeit is an engaging way like, hey, I bought a
real product and you know, I also get more information about the product and the story behind it.
So I think it's always, how can you make more from something? Not like just, hey, this is a real
product. No, how can I make that real product experience? Also more like a branding thing where
it becomes like a more greater experience for the customer because that's actually what luxury is
about. It's about creating an extreme create experience for a customer and it's what they pay for
right? Yes. And right now, customers are more aware of where these products come from. And if
there's like a new collaboration, like for example, Louis Vuitton, Virgil Ablow or something like
that, and people would want to know the story behind this new product. For example, for Louis Vuitton,
like, or like Adidas, these names shoes. So they collaborate. So you can provide like a QR code
there online or even on the boxes of the product itself. And people will be able to engage better
with that and really learn about the story behind this collaboration. How did it go? Like you can't
even provide like an exclusive video when you purchase that exclusive item or like really luxury item
and really know like the behind the scenes for creating this product. Really beautiful that way.
If it's really to counterfeit, I think the QR code is important to be inside the package. For the
simple reason, then it's much more harder for people from outside to you know, to copy it or to do
something with it. When it's inside the package, it means you open it. You have that you're the first
person that watch that QR code. And also when it's scanned, you also know that you scan it the first
time. The system knows that right. So in this way, it's also not easy for people who want to make
fake goods to copy it and try to hack the whole system right. So I think that's also what is
the benefit here with cons or fat? How can you actually make that experience for the customer?
Sure, that is a real product and not that it is a fake one. Yeah, because QR codes are really
easy to track and it can be so much harder to fake that when you have that little more detail
added to it like with QR codes. All right, thank you Ben. Let's go to the next question.
Hi, we're a gold bank, and we've been having trouble with our account opening process,
causing long wait times for our customers. We heard that QR codes can speed up the process,
so we're wondering how we can implement this technology. Do you have any suggestions on how we
can use QR codes for account opening, one maintaining security and privacy? So related to
When a com, definitely QR codes can help again in lead generation where people scan and
they can be know your customer first and give some information.
People can actually get in contact with a person from the bank that calls them, that gives
that ask more information or can you just make that sign up experience shorter and more
efficient.
That's what it's all about.
Also when they have an account, a QR code can help when people scan, you can have two
factor auto tensication where people scan and they know that it's actually you.
Because that's one of the pain points still when you're looking in a bank that you need
to have your little device or type a number and then this and it takes just a little of
your time.
But now you just take your phone, you scan and they know it's you because it's actually
you are owning that phone.
In this way, it can help also for security for the bank and but also make the whole experience
from customer to login needs account 10 times better than what it is today.
I think in the crypto industry, we've seen already this kind of ways.
I think the banking institution and financial institutions are following up with that as well.
Yes, and I like how chat GPT asked it and included the safety and security of customers
in the in the picture because of course the finance industry, a lot of scams are happening
and all that.
So one way for customers and banks to use QR codes is to provide like an information
for their customers to read the fine print before reviewing or signing up for anything,
especially as it's a financial product.
And so, yes, so before deciding on anything, customers can then can the QR code read the
fine print wherever they are at home, have their attorneys a little decide, read, go
through it.
And then that's when they can totally decide that this is the bad for me.
This is the product.
Right.
That's just one detail that the banks can add to use QR codes for their own.
Yes, I definitely believe it's, you know, the financial industry is an industry that is
changing quickly and lucky for that.
I think it's a painful industry for many people.
I think QR codes will definitely help in creating a different experience.
People can also scan and download the app for example of the bank and in this way.
We have this kind of QR code when you scan with an Android or with an iPhone, it will instantly
redirect you to the right app store.
So people can instantly download the right application to their phone and have instantly
more information.
So it helps the customer again to have more quicker information and Indian or all-nage
smartphone.
Yeah.
And right now, last I read was the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
They're using this one QR code across all banks like Indonesia and Malaysia.
So to process all these payments properly and for businesses to be able to register to
these banks easily and for the people as well, for the residents.
But Europe that's the same, people can scan one QR code and pay and if all these payments
online already.
So I think that's also the thing that helps people, you know, when you get your bill to
pay, you scan, you pay, don't actually don't need to open your PC, it can quickly and automatically
buy it.
Exactly.
So we're already on their phones anyway, so that's like a huge step already.
All right.
And Ben, we're done with all the questions.
What did you think?
How much HPP were you impressed with the question?
Well, I think HTTP has definitely some good questions.
We were expecting that HTTP is not smart, but, you know, it isn't an immense language model.
I do still think that HTTP, if we look at answers, needs better data, maybe needs to come
to read the works of QR, to really understand what can be done better related to QR code.
Because we also process the answers with HTTP, just to see what it would answer to its own
questions.
And I think there was some good hints in those answers, but still there was a lot of missing.
It's all in those details that we feel that HTTP is not able to answer in a broader way.
Of course, it's linked to data of 2021, but it just still shows that there is still a
big learning curve to go for HTTP to actually come to a level where it's really, you know,
where it replaces us as a company to answer questions to customers related to QR codes.
Yes.
For sure, it's only going to get better.
The future looks really promising, especially with QR codes in it.
Well, there you have it.
It's nice to have HTTP asking us questions for a change.
And if you, human who listen to this podcast until the very end, they'll have more questions
about industry specific QR code uses, then let us know in the comments down below.
Again, this has been Crystal and Ben, and it has been nice to talk to you and let you
know about all these different uses for different industries.
And thanks for tuning in.
Take care.
