Speaker 1Hello and welcome to the Introduction to the Being On Stage podcast. I am the creator and host, Reggie Dawson. This podcast, just to dig right in, I do believe in digging right in to what I'm talking about. So this podcast, first and foremost, was created and is targeted to anyone who has any desire, wish, dream, experience even, being on stage. That's exactly what I intended it for, is what's in the title, is for being on stage, getting better at on stage performing, learning the differences between, you know, for example, dancing versus dancing on stage, singing versus singing on stage, playing guitar versus playing guitar on stage, lip sync versus lip syncing on stage. This shows for anybody, any entertainer that gets on stage, singers, dancers, musicians, bands, comedians, speakers, MCs, drag queens and drag kings, burlesque performers, street performers, performance artists, mimes, anybody that steps on stage in front of an audience. That's what this is all about. I've done a little research, I've looked around, and there are not resources out there for entertaining, for truly being a performer. There are resources out there for singers to develop their talents on stage, and there are resources out there for, you know, actors, actresses to develop their stage talent, but there's no real resources out there that's just a general go-to for performance help. On stage, live performance help. Entertainers need a coach sometimes. I have witnessed it. I have seen entertainers on stage, amazing singers, awesome bands, and they just lack that thing that makes them awesome on stage, that thing that makes people stop and watch their concert. Or watch their set. Dancers, amazing dancers, zero connection to their audience. Those entertainers that need that coach and need that resource, that's what this is for. This is also for people that have no idea what they're doing, but they know they want to be on stage. Maybe you, maybe you suffer from stage fright, maybe you suffer from, you know, not thinking you can do it. Maybe you think you have no talent, but you're truly amazing. This is for you. Anybody who has been on stage, wants to get on stage, dreams of being on stage, plans to be on stage, anybody. This show is going to motivate you, it is going to inspire you, it is going to empower you, and give you the confidence to get on stage and be better on stage. Whether you're an amateur, a professional, any level, we could all use some performance help on stage. Because every audience is different, and entertainment in itself is always developing. My goal with this podcast, and what I hope to accomplish, is I want to build better entertainers. I want to empower entertainers and inspire them to work hard and put on one hell of a show. Because that is what being on stage is all about, is putting on a show. For now, I leave you with this. Work hard at what you love. Work hard on your dreams. Get on stage, try something new. And keep listening, because we are going to go on a crazy ride together, and I promise you will take away something from each and every episode. Again, thank you so much for listening to being on stage. Tune in to the episodes that are coming up, and you know what? I'm going to end every episode this way, so I might as well start here. Keep on shining, rock stars.
