EP: 466 Inside Hollywood's Babylon System from a Child Actor Who Escaped with Todd Coconato

Todd Cook, a former child actor in Hollywood and now a pastor, recounts his transformation from a life of fame, drugs, and partying to a deep spiritual encounter after being stabbed nine times. During a life-threatening incident, he heard a divine voice asking if he wanted to live, and in response, he committed to serve God. This experience became the foundation of his faith, leading to repeated prophetic encounters that affirmed a personal, supernatural relationship with God. He describes Hollywood as a "Court of Babylon," where material success and celebrity are idolized, often at the expense of spiritual well-being. He argues that true faith comes through personal encounter, not religious performance, and criticizes the church for failing to address the real struggles of younger generations, especially those raised in hedonistic environments. Cook sees Hollywood’s culture as a deliberate system of deception, shaped by media manipulation and spiritual warfare, and warns that such systems are not beyond divine intervention. He emphasizes that God’s power operates through faith and prayer, often disrupting evil plans with small, powerful acts of resistance. Ultimately, his story is a call to authenticity, repentance, and a return to God-centered living—where every believer, regardless of background, must have a personal encounter with the divine to find true purpose and healing.

You know that when they have the Oscars, have you ever heard that they actually made that area into the court of Babylon? You can look it up. If you go to Hollywood and Highland, it's actually the court of Babylon, okay? And people go down and they bow down on Hollywood Boulevard to get their hands in and then they give them these idle statues. Our generation was told this is success. This is who you should aspire to. This is success. Well, I got to see that's not success. Look how many of them die prematurely. Look how many of them go literally crazy in their mind and get like totally whacked out. Yeah. Why does that happen? Because there's only one true void fillers. Hollywood or Hollywood. We don't know. But we're bringing on a childhood actor who's converted now pastor. Tell us what it was like growing up in Hollywood. What happens when an angel shows up in your bedroom and how does that change the way you see the world and operate? Pastor Todd Cook and Otto joins us today to unpack that in so much more as we dive deep into the elitism, the darkness of Hollywood. And what it means to be a remnant in these days. The history of our Earth is so different from what we can imagine. Enjoy the journey. The Smithsonian, and if they found out about Lord Skeleton somewhere, was to go get it. I'm going to assume at least one person is right because if one person's right it busts the paradise. It all goes back to the fallen chair. And the problem with the modern day church, they had a very truncated view of the supernatural. This backdrop is just pregnant with all kinds of meaning associated with this mount hermit of the end. What? And this guy defects from the kingdom. That's a big deal. You know, I said I'm going to be on this podcast called "Bury Creatures." Like all the older people look at me like I'm nuts. Yeah. And then the young people are like, "Yeah." Like I can tell the difference in the audience. We're excited though. I feel like we're dressed like the men in black today, but we're going to interview Todd Cokanato, who you are a man of many hats. Yeah, you were a hat today. We appreciate that. Yeah, we did not. This is very rare. This is very rare, all the things. Nick, I really into growing his hair out for a while. And so he was like just doing the hair. Hair looks good. Or the beauty. But now nice to hair guy. Yeah. And I just thought I wasn't going to go here today. I thought you would go here. But you know, here we are. Big on the lettuce. But no, Todd, you're a pastor, evangelist, author. You're local here. So you're here in Nashville, Tennessee. You're on a revival church. You've got a podcast. And we actually did your show. This is fun connection. NRB. We got to do what's spent some time with you. You've got an amazing story and and testimony. And we'd love to get go back to the 80s and just kind of get into it. But yeah, what are thoughts on Bigfoot? And then we can go from there. You know, here's the thing. I mean, I think that a lot of people having supernatural experiences and they're looking for answers, you know, and that's why a podcast like here's is doing so well. And people are looking for real and truth. And there's a lot of people. If you talk about Bigfoot, you're going to be surprised. How many people have had experiences like this that don't say anything because they're worried about people thinking, oh, you know, you're crazy. Or you see in the old religious version of the church, which the one that I walked into where I was sweating and like felt totally out of place being a club kid from LA who was getting off of MDMA and partying like church was the last place that I ever thought I'd find myself. So there's a lot of people that love God and have probably had experiences like a Bigfoot or UFO or things like that. And they're looking for answers and Christians need to be open to speaking about those things. That's what I think. Let's go to them. Speaking of like childhood actors and not wanting to talk about things. I mean, this is sort of the the topic that people don't talk about. That's all I would and all the weird stuff that goes on there. And so I'm sure we're going to tip toe around some of these things because you know, I think people often don't want to share their, their maybe an encounter with you or a big foot or a creature or maybe they were a part of some sort of exorcism or something and they, they sort of shake in a way that they're like, I probably shouldn't talk about this. I think you're right. I think that and when you give people permission to talk about these things, you'd be surprised about regular everyday authors, theologians will say, yeah, I saw this creature and it's not so weird. Right. But tell us, take us back to when you were at child because we were talking off air. When we did your show about how you were hanging with some of these 80s. Yes. Kids that we grew up watching these movies and these characters hanging with Corey Feldman and, yeah, Vinnie was house a couple times. Mouth, dude. Yeah. He was such a stable, yeah, love of all those movies. And a lot of those guys were, but we all kind of knew there was something else going on. Well, no, he's a phenomenal guitar player these days. But now his music is just legendary. It's very, it's very progressive. But it takes your story about, you know, kind of growing up in those. I mean, obviously we're, we rolled with this 80s theme here. Yes. Kind of taken it maybe a little too far. But you lived here. And it's all part of your testimony, too. I mean, this is, you come out of, as you said, LA and in Hollywood, which is this, you know, we've talked about Hollywood a bit on the show and some of the, some of the things that go on there, the, you know, as a conspiracy theories and all this stuff about, you know, what's happening there? You've got all the weird stuff with, you know, spirit cooking and things that, that come leaking out of this space, right? But you grew up there. And so we'd love to hear your story, Todd, and kind of start where you want. But you, you were a child actor. That was a time out, bro. I made it out. And I wasn't famous. I like to get there right out. You know, people say, well, where are you from? No, I wasn't famous, but I knew a lot of famous people. I hung out with a lot of famous people. One of the reasons I don't talk about that that much, because I don't really like when people name drop and like, try to position themselves. So I'd rather not say that and let people find out more later. I did for you, you know, thank you, thank you, but that being said, I mean, you know, my mom, so we moved to California when I was like eight, you know, we were from us from Cincinnati, Ohio. We moved out there. And my mom said, not a skyline chili, baby. Yes, yes, very good. And, and you know, my mom met some people and they said, you get your son in acting. That's what people do when they come to California. And so we just happened to find this woman that was a really prominent child manager. And we had no idea what we were doing. I'm sure my mom had no, we just got a tip, like, you'll go to this woman. And she ended up being one of the best managers for young, you know, for kids. So she managed some very famous people. So when you have a manager like that, you go to a lot of the same auditions, you sit in the room for hours, waiting, you know, the parents become friends. So that's kind of how that all started. And I did a lot of, they called principal role, but like, you know, when you have a commercial, that's a national commercial, let's say Coke or something like that. And you get what they call principal role. They pay really well. And so I did a lot of stuff like that. I did a lot of guest appearances on shows like General Hospital and, you know, just guest appearances. Who's the boss? Things like that. But because of that, you know, so a child, when you're not in school, what happens is you go into this trailer on set, you know, at Paramount or wherever you're at and they do school for the day. And so you would sit with the other kids that are your age or whatever and do school. So it just so happens that maybe a little more was there. Maybe, you know, so you're hanging around these people, you're hanging around their parents, you're getting to know them. And that's a lot of the experience that I had. So it wasn't famous, but, you know, you see the same people over and over again. Then what happens is you become a team and you start going to the parties. And then you start getting pulled in. They have a lot of mansion parties in the Hollywood. That's kind of what you do before your of age. You get fake IDs. You start going to club scene, LA club scene was probably one of the best in the world. They had these things called underground parties. You go to them and that's kind of what started pulling me in. So I did that from like eight all the way to like my late teens. And that's when eventually it led up to this apex moment where I got saved, you know, what does that mean? I met the Lord. Somehow I had this experience where I encountered God in Hawaii. And I came back and for two years, I tried to go to church, but I had no friends. So I went from being like really accepted in Hollywood and going to these a list clubs and hanging around people like B-Rail and Carmen Electro and all these different people to literally being sitting home with my parents, you know, as a young person and feeling like a loser to be honest with you. Friday night, I'm listening to my dad snore down the hallway. You know, fresh from the LA scene where I'm getting pulled through lines and going into the VIP and partying. And you know, next thing I'm with my parents. So for two years, I went through that and basically what happened was one night I got tired of it. And I kept my old friends were calling me when you could come back out, you know, when you come back out. So finally I gave in to pressure and I went back out. This is like in my early 20s. And when I went out, I ended up going to this place. And there was this guy that was on drugs and alcohol and it's not all his fault. I mean, I'm guilty too, but basically opened the door and this guy stabbed me with a kitchen knife. He just ran out and I didn't even know what to expect. Also, he stabbed me and one of them was in the heart. And I got stabbed eight of their times. It was nine stabs and what happened was he realized that he was going to kill me and he looked at me. And I think you had a moment where he came to and he ends up picking me up. And the girl that he's with him and her take me to the hospital. Wow. So on the way to the hospital, I have this encounter and I can't explain it. The preacher is like the last thing, I never even crossed my mind to be a preacher. Vangeless, anything like that. But when you have this type of encounter, it's kind of like in the book of Isaiah, where Isaiah is in the presence of God and, you know, he's undone and I didn't see God. I heard the audible voice of God, but basically I heard a voice that said, do you want to live or do you want to die? And I said, I want to live. And he said, well, if you live, you got to tell people that I'm real. And for the rest of your life, you got to serve me. And so what do you say, what do you say when you're, you know, you're in this presence in God or you just heard? I did not see him, but it was, it was like white. I had tunnel vision. So all of a sudden, I'm like, in this car, this guy is, you know, totally faded. driving girls in shotgun I'm in the middle just bleeding out like a movie scene like a movie scene and and so it you know I didn't really remember much of I just remember seeing him and I'm it was like that split second like what's gonna happen I'm gonna die but then it went to tunnel vision and then everything was just white and that's when I heard this audible voice and so when I said yes I woke up and I was no longer in the car I was in the hospital and this woman looked at me and she's like you shouldn't be alive she says you you definitely shouldn't be alive she said we just had somebody that was stabbed two times and they died she said you got stabbed in the heart and you got stabbed you know nine times and you live she said you're a miracle and I knew I was a miracle so this all of a sudden is like this complete change in my life where now I recognize that God is real I just had this supernatural encounter and I'm trying to like figure this out now so remember I'd already been in church for two years but I didn't feel like I was accepted I didn't make any Christian friends I felt people were really clicky you know for two years I'd stand in the foyer of this church and I'm not saying it was a bad church it was a good church but people knew each other they all grew up together here I'm coming from like the rave club scene Hollywood totally did not you know fit in yeah at all so that's when I went back out but I'm trying to figure myself out you know what what just happened and after that just led to a journey which led to today you know so just so do you do you actually clinically die when you end up I think I did I believe I did I believe God spared my life and he said he said you were 20 you heard him speak about 21 you heard him speak you said he said I heard the audible voice of God I said what did he say do you want to live or do you want to die one of my favorite stories in the Bible Luke is when the Centurion just sends his guy off and says he'll my person it happens yeah he got an appointment right away that's right that's almost unheard of these Doc.com/blurry you say I want to live I said I want to live do you say a lot of people you're just thinking these things in this space do you remember I feel like I said it yeah and you know when I said that it was like this mandate that was given to me like you need to tell people that I'm real because obviously that's like the biggest decision you'll ever make on earth is okay is God real okay I'm going to serve a lot of the NDE's like people say they're either like they like God approaches him from behind and like if you turn around you got to stay yes kind of thing or if you see me or if you want to stay here you can why do you think you get that question why do you think that people can get make the decision I think you have to make the decision and I think that everybody's given a choice and so there's some people like I know people that have had these experiences where they said that he was given a choice he decided to stay yeah you know so I think God gives you that choice but I felt like my my journey wasn't done I you always wanted to get married I always wanted to be a father that was kind of like what I saw a success you know coming from the broken past that I had I mean I was in a promiscuous lifestyle drugs alcohol addiction you know so for me the the dream was that I was going to have a family someday and you know have a normal normal life kind of thing yeah what happens do you feel different when you wake up like do you feel like spiritually or fit I mean obviously been stabbed but like do you think is it does life feel different when you kind of when everything feels different there's certain things I think that impact your life to a point where you never go back to the same person and one of them is this type I call it an encounter you know somebody has had an encounter there's a difference between like religion and an encounter and you don't have to be stabbed nine times right to have an encounter but somebody that has had an encounter it's let it will absolutely change your life it's kind of like Paul the Damascus road right I mean yeah that's an encounter and there's no going back and the thing is is like you know I tell people like don't follow me follow God like I hope I'm pointing you to God yeah I'm not perfect and I'm just like everybody else you know but the thing is is I had this experience so you can't go back like okay this happened so you have to deal with it and then everything else in your life is seen through that perspective you know through the lens of that what happens like do they does a guy get arrested what happens to the guy at the stale oh my gosh so this is kind of crazy so then I go to the police department afterwards like after I finally recover you know we're working through with the detectives and everything and the detective was like look this guy doesn't even have a record and I'm just trying to tell you like if you go after him in court you're gonna be in court for a while because his family I think they had money and like you're gonna be stuck in court for a while my advice to you is just move forward that's what he's like you know but meanwhile I come from this Italian family I have uncles like let me make a phone call yeah I gotta tell me that I'm gonna come to California you don't even get the same thing honestly I mean it's you're gonna send Tony Danza on him brother and like I know I've met Tony Danza a few times I know you're all good listen I used to say TNT Todd and Tony you know anyways but here's the thing yeah I feel like because of that encounter there's something about a biblical forgiveness and the Lord put this on my heart like you got to forgive this guy wow and I'm like seriously like and you know I came from LA Unified School District I mean we used to fight all 10 there was gangs I got jumped a bunch of times and it was bad back then I mean we used to have dry bites at my high school you know like it was not a good period of time this was back when like two pocket biggie were at war west coast these coast bloods crypts you know everybody thought they were a gangster I'm in LA so like the alternate Hill Valley yeah so so you know we I got a couple fights in my day so I was a fighter I'm still a fighter but in a different way spiritually but so I want to get this guy okay don't give me wrong but because of the experience and it was so real I felt like God was telling me you got to forgive if you can forgive this guy you're gonna be able to forgive anybody yeah because this guy tried to take your life out so I had to I wrote this letter to him and I this was like a crazy thing and I was like I forgive you I don't know if it actually got to him I went through channels that I hoped it did and we didn't end up pressing charges yeah and so I don't know where he is today maybe he's watching blurry creatures maybe he's not here anymore I mean I heard something along the lines of that he had died but I don't know if it's true or not how long do you think you're and he was like time wise yeah like did it feel like pretty quick like you walk in and it had to be at least maybe a half hour or more because it went from me being in this car on the way I don't remember getting the hospital I was told that it was like they basically dumped me in the room and like took the car and they were driving my car so they had to dump the car somewhere okay the car looked like an absolute blood massacre I mean when my mom saw it she just couldn't stop we being attempted murder yeah grand theft auto seriously but he saved but he took he literally took you to get saved which is wild yeah I think the redemption and even with the detective and everything they're like he didn't need to do that kind of thing you know so but you know the car I don't know how they found the car somehow they recovered the car but from the hospital staff they were saying that like this guy just like basically dumped you here it was like a movie and then people ran out with the gurney and like somehow I was spared but it had to be about a half hour I would say man so what happens after that I know that you you talk about like you dealt with some bitterness and things after this situation and then you and then you have questions you have a good you have an encounter with like some prophetic words I want to hear this story this is wild too so again my mom was very spiritual you know she always would write me these words and put them under my door you know these prophetic words and I didn't want to listen to you know she had kicked me out of the house when I was younger you know and basically because you know I was doing drugs and she found pot and different things so you know she kicked me out but she'd always give me these prophetic words and I never wanted to read them but I would have these weird things where I'd be like there's this one instance where I'm in Hollywood I'm at a club and I come out I'm drunk and literally it's like what 2 2 10 was after the stabbing right after no this is before okay but this was leading up and I just want to encourage like anybody who's praying for your kid and they're like in deep darkness you got to understand your prayers matter because it was it was little things like this so I'd walk down a Hollywood Boulevard and there there was two instances one time there was this guy it wasn't Arthur blessed but there was this guy just walking down the street like two of them went with a cross and here I am like totally drunk and I'm just like looking and it's like you know I'm just encountering God like what in the world like I knew it was a sign there was another time I walk out and this woman's just playing worship like at like two something at night and I just stood there and was just like weeping you know because I felt God's presence so I was being and convicted all along the way. But after the stabbing, here's what happens. So I go, there's three different instances. I was, so I went from being in the club scene, promoting, selling drugs, doing all these illicit things, and making very good money. I mean, there would be weekends where I'd make five grand. This is back in the day, 10 grand. You know, so doing really nice, living in a condo in Los Angeles, had Alexis, had cameras, the whole thing. You know, I was living it up according to the world standard. But when I gave my heart to the Lord, I had to give that all up, obviously, 'cause I couldn't do any of that anymore. So I had to move home, and it was super humbling, like I had to get a regular job, and you know, I was making like almost minimum wage. So I went from like five grand a weekend to like minimum wage. So I'm living in my parents' house. And so this was all a lot, you know. But one time I go in, it's a Macy's in Burbank. And I mean, the men's department with all these Armenian women, 'cause Macy's Burbank is like the Armenia capital of, and Armenian people are a lot of them are Christian. So, you know, we're in Los Angeles in Burbank, Macy's, and this woman, who you would kind of like central casting of like an old-time Pentecostal church, he's got the hat, you know, this little prayer warrior. She comes down into the men's department, and she goes, the Lord showed me your face when I was shopping, and said to come here and give you a word. So like all the Armenian people in the world just said, like, okay, what's this woman gonna say, right? And she says, the Lord said, "Don't let bitterness grow in your heart." And she starts quoting scripture, and it was like, all of a sudden it was like, boom, I'm in the presence of God. It doesn't matter that I'm in Macy's. Like, I know this is from God, and she starts saying, you're gonna soar, you know, with wings like an eagle, you're gonna run a knock-row where he starts quoting scripture, and just prophesying over me, and everybody's weeping, 'cause we could all sense the presence of God, and then as quick as she came, she left. And I'm like, okay, what just happened, right? This is right after God stabbed, and then I was rehabilitated back to where I could get back to work basically. So then I go to, what was it? 24-hour fitness in Northridge, California. I'm really determined, I used to work out all the time, really determined to get back to the gym. And, you know, so I'm like, going back to like 10 pounds, you know, I used to do like big 65, you know, 100 curls. Now I'm doing little curls, so I'm just like, you know, trying to get, and this guy's all tied it up, and he's, you know, got sleeves and everything, big buff guy. And so I'm just sitting here doing, you know, mind my own business, he turns around, and he goes, I got a word for you, okay? And he just starts prophesying at this 24-hour fitness, as I'm working out, and here's the crazy trippy thing about the whole thing, was it was almost identical to what the woman said. So this is where like, okay, you know, so I'm just trying to figure out what just happened in my life, you know. I didn't quite yet know if I was gonna be a preacher, I just knew something dramatic had happened, I had this encounter, but after something like that to be real, the devil starts messing with your head. So why did God let that happen? You know, used to be an actor and all this stuff. Now you got stabs, keyloids scars all over your body, you know, you're looking at yourself in the mirror, like, you know, what just happened in my life. So bitterness did try to come in and questioning God. But that's I think why the Lord let these prophetic words happen, and they were so spot on, and they were so the same. And I knew my mom couldn't have put these people up because how would she know some tied it up guy in 20-hour fitness, like, no, like, obviously this is God, right? (upbeat music) You know Luke, it's rumored. And on top of the pyramids, back in the day, there was a gold capstone. I'm sure it didn't last long. In the uncertainty of world markets and wars, fiat currency, one thing is still the test of time. What's that, precious metals, gold, silver. One of the three gifts you can give someone fit for a king, head over to gold cow, Luke and I both got the silver, we're going gold next. And we're gonna protect our assets and you can protect your family's uncertain times. Things are getting crazy. So precious metals are literally the reliable way to diversify your holdings and potentially protect your family's purchasing power when traditional markets get rocky. Goldco is one of the best and has been trusted with over $3 billion in precious metals for a reason. We got silver, we're getting gold, Nate. And you can too. So right now they're offering the blurry creatures community, a free gold and silver kit. The details exactly how precious metals can help anchor your hard earned assets. Qualified accounts could also qualify to get up to 10% back and silver, but it's strictly first come, first serve. So help prepare yourself from whatever's coming down the line. Go to blurrygold.com right now and request your free kit. That's blurrygold.com. (upbeat music) So I'm still not 100% convinced. I don't know the exact sequence. I think the 24-hour fitness one was actually the last one, but there was another one that happened in a coffee shop on Metro Boulevard. And I was at this coffee shop and there was a guy, and honestly, I thought he was gay 'cause he was kind of talking that way, but I heard a little bit of his conversation. But I'm sitting here in my business at the coffee shop and sure enough, he goes, "I got a word for you." I'm like, "Dude, are you serious?" - Yeah. - Again, almost identical. I mean, I'm talking the same scriptures that they're quoting. You know, and this is where it's like how there's no way. - Yeah. - And already after having the experience that I did and then having this, it come to the point when I had the three identical words that I was kind of like, "You know what, Lord, I don't know why this happened, but obviously it happened. I'm gonna submit my life to you. I'm gonna just give everything." You know, and at that point, I'm like, "Well, what do you do if you're a club, you know, "drug dealer?" - Drug dealer. - You know, all these things, like, you know, and I found a Bible college in the Valley, in the San Fernando Valley, and I enrolled and it was crazy because God just started open doors there. I got under this pastor, Jack Heyfer, who was a really solid Bible teacher. And he took a liking to me. I mean, he let me lead the worship very quickly because I was a musician, you know, within a few months I was doing worship at the college and seminary, ended up working for, but I was completely out of my element, completely out of my element. But I just knew that I had to do this. And so they kind of just led to where I'm at today. - So it's like a six-year journey, kind of. - It's quite longer than that. - And why do you think, I mean, how does it sort of shape your view of God when you kind of look back at your own story and say that like he started a little seed in you and then pursued you prophetic words, near death experience, it's like this whole, like, you know, he wants you on his team. - Yeah, big time. - Yeah. - How do you see that? - I think it wants all of us on his team. That's, you know, I think that there's, like I said, there's religion and relationship. But the thing is, is like, so the other day, I was doing this podcast and all of a sudden, I started speaking about some of these things, drug use, and I'm going to be honest with you guys, I was ashamed of these things. I was ashamed of the life that I lived. Because when I came in the Christian culture, I felt like I needed to be like, you know, this perfect suit wearing, you know, yeah. So for many, many years, I didn't share the things that had happened in my life. And then I was at a tent crusade one night, and the Holy Spirit just said, you need to just let it all out, you need to just share, you know. And ever since that time where I started sharing these things, I'm telling you, I got DJs from Phoenix reaching out. I got people that I didn't even know, listen to our stuff, and they're like, dude, thank you for sharing this because I've just felt so out of place. There was a whole generation of people in our generation that went to these clubs, underground parties, bars, promiscuous life, all these things that I've experienced. But for some reason, we don't talk about these things. And I don't know why, I think that we're at a time now where we've got to talk about these things. I went to lunch with the Gen Zee or the other day, right? And we just had this, I thought I was gonna be ministering to him, but he ends up just sharing his heart with me. And he's like, you know, I go to church, and he's like, I feel like a lot of preachers are preaching to like the older folks, but they're not preaching to us. And he says, you know, my generation, we're just looking for manly men. We're looking for father-friars, we're looking for role models. He says, you know, I don't even know if I want to date. He says, I go on on a date with a girl. And the girl's like telling me her body count, like it's nothing. You know, like the people are in throttles and all these very gross things. And he says, I don't even know what to think about. You know, do I even want a family? I don't even know. And it's like, these are the things that people are dealing with. You know, fending all addiction in their family, all these different things. And for some reason, we haven't addressed these things. And I think that's this is the time. And so I just tell people like, forget about religion. Just, you have to have this personal encounter with God. And when you do your life changes, and it's just so life changing. So that's what it's about for me. Like, I don't think it's about a following or a platform or, you know, might, you know, be pastor. It's just, I feel like I have to share this because this is a true experience that I walk through and it changed my whole life and it saved me. And I'm gonna tell you, a lot of my old friends died. Like, drug overdoses, different things. One guy was shot in the head. I mean, these are the type of people I was hanging around. You know, so I just realized like, there's pictures of all my guys from back in the day, my role dogs, almost everyone in the whole picture's dead. - Yeah. - You know, and I think to myself, like, why did you give me this chance? And I know why he gave me the chance so I can share the truth, you know? So that's what I'm trying to do the best I can, you know? - Well, I think it takes, I think oftentimes, a lot of Christians kind of start at the bottom and then they become a pastor and that kind of gets some famous. - Yeah. - You kind of came out of the exact opposite. - The exact opposite. Thank you for saying that because honestly, it's a pet peeve of mine. You know, I saw people in the world. So there was this time I was sitting next to, in fact, I just talked to Katie's Perry's dad was on my podcast, you know, he's a friend of mine. But he just told me this that him and Britney Spears mom and Justin Bieber's mom pray once a month. - Yeah. - And that is so important to me, but it was just like, weird for me because many years ago, I was at the rural world suite in Vegas when that show was on And I was sitting here. next to one of those people I would say, but she was with me. She was the biggest pop star of that era. Everybody had her poster on the wall, right? And meanwhile, I'm doing drugs, and I'm sitting here next to her, and just broken, insecure, totally dischabble, and I'm thinking, this is what so many people are aspiring to. And yet this isn't even real. And let's go back to Hollywood. So I wrote in my book about the Babylon system. But that's basically what, you know that when they have the Oscars, literally those idols that they give out, the court there on, have you ever heard that they actually made that area into the court of Babylon? Have you ever heard that? You can look it up. And people go down, and they bow down on Hollywood Boulevard to get their hands in, okay, on this court of Babylon, okay? And, and, you know, I don't get too much anyway because it gets conspiratorial. But here's the thing. And then they give them these idol statues. So we, our generation was told, this is success. Like if you become like these people, this is who you should aspire to. This is successful. I got to see, that's not success. Like those people are some of the most, I'm looking at how many of them die prematurely. Yeah. Because that, there's only one true void filler that can fill that, and it's Jesus. So when I see preachers. Yeah. And I'm not here to like bash the body of Christ because obviously I'm from the body of Christ and have a lot of mercy. God's had a lot of mercy on me. But when I see people like making it the goal to make their own kingdom rather than the kingdom, it reminds me like you said of what I saw in Hollywood. It's aspiring versus like pointing to the Lord. So I would just implore everybody out there that's doing that. Like get right with God because I don't think that we should be making it about us or building our kingdom. It should be about building. Well, you're a pastor. I mean, you know the story of the prodigal son, right? So does the younger brother have an easier time accepting the older brother than the older brother, the younger brother? Isn't that the question? Yeah. Yeah. Well, what do you think the older brother is dealing with? Because I think that's what a lot of guys like stay in the church. They do the right things. They didn't have a crazy story. And they judge all these people like Russell Brand and these people, these Hollywood guys, it convert. Yep. And they don't convert right away. It takes them years to kind of understand what they're doing. And there's this huge wave of judgment that comes on these huge. I've seen it so many times. So somebody, I knew a well-known singer and she was, you know, in the Lord as a child. And then she was about to come back. And what happened, this is a true story, is she's trying to come back and she starts expressing it publicly. And everybody's like, you know, you're in the Illuminati. And she went to her parents and she's like, look, the gay community accepts me. But when I come into church, this is what I get. So this is why I am where I am. And I think we need to be extremely careful that to your point, though, people are like, well, I've been in good my whole life and I've been serving the Lord. And why should we, you know, this person is broken. But isn't that the gospel message? I mean, didn't he come for the center and not for the person who's like the Pharisees, right? So I think if you've managed to be in the church your whole life, like you're in a better position because you don't have all the brokenness that you have the baggage. I mean, I'm going to tell you right now, it took me years and I'm still on my journey. I think we all are. But you know, Lord's always pulling layers off and healing my brokenness and different things. But I would say it's both people have brokenness and both have areas where they can do better. But we should try to understand the protocol and the protocols should try to understand. And we should all understand that that's just our journey. But it's no one had it easier because it's not, but both cases they have to have an encounter. That's the important thing is whether you've been in church or whole life, which is really ideal. Like I'm raising my daughter. I hope she never goes into the world. I hope, you know, she stays on fire for God and becomes a, you know, I'd be ideal. She's a preacher. We're great. You know, but the thing is is that she has to, at some point come to her faith on her own. She's about to get baptized. Actually, which I'm really excited about. You get baptized when you want to get baptized. You know, but the thing is is like she, ultimately has to come to that place. And I think every believer, whether you come from the world and you get radically saved and you haven't counted her God, or you've been in the church or whole life, everybody's got to come to the point of encounter. And I think we're so sometimes focused on like what everybody else is doing. The church is really good at reporting on what the devil is doing. And it's like me, while God is doing some amazing things, but the main thing we could be doing is how can I be better? Like how can I be, you know, more loving in the Lord? How can I be more doing what the fruit of this spirit says to do? If we focused on that, imagine what a better community we would be. So neither one has it easy, but the goal is that we all have an encounter. You know, Nate, in this day and age, we're all looking to try to save a buck. Things get expensive. Sometimes times get hard. And oftentimes I think we're trying to unravel mysteries here, but sometimes the biggest mystery is what's going on in our financial world? I don't think it gets any like what can top a Hollywood party. You know, I mean like what is a cooler party to go to? So you you you're in that world. I wasn't going to ask you about that. I know you said before that God gave you Satan's playbook that you what you understood. And as much as you can talk about Hollywood, what is in your experience and what you lived through? What is what's the strategy in Hollywood in your mind from like from the enemy? What are they? What are they? What are the what's the playbook? It's crazy. So I mean, you could look at the history of Hollywood, but there is basically four kind of like four families that became four studios. For Italian. Yeah. But they're not Italian. Yeah. The family part is mainly. I mean, a lot of the same studios that were there in the beginning are still around, you know, just in different forms or mergers or things like that. But when the American culture went into the initial film process, like the early 1900s and then there was actually they used to have these almost like boards that would be from church, you know, church people would say, Hey, that's too promiscuous or that's to say, and they would kind of curate what would come out of Hollywood. Yeah. And that changed basically in the 50s. It was a major about face that Hollywood did. The women's live movement was happening. There was a lot of different cultural changes. And in that period, those guardrails came off. And Hollywood completely shifted into a much more kind of a propagandized leading culture into anti family, anti God. And you can look at the progression of society, but we went from a mainly Protestant society, God fearing more, what's much more God fearing to being, you know, hedonistic and, you know, sexually explicit. And they just keep press, you know, pressing the envelope more and more as they go on and on. But the American dream and all that, a lot of that was created from Hollywood. And you look at the Operation Mockingbird and the Church Commission. I don't know if you guys have ever covered that, but no, let's go. Oh, have you ever heard about it? I mean, we know Mockingbird for sure. So Operation Mockingbird was this operation where the government admitted, and they had this commission that was in our Congress or, you know, leadership of the country. They had these people come and give testimony. And they basically asked, like, does the intelligence community in any way affect what's coming out of Hollywood? Do they have any people in the media? Well, it turns out that they're like, yes, we do. And this is a long time ago. And they said, you know, a lot of the things that we would like to share in this meeting, we can't do in public setting. We have to do in closed door meeting with people with clearances because there's a skip. We hear about skiffs. Yeah, you know about the skip. So they had to have these closed door meetings because apparently there was intel people that were. And so they call it predictive programming. You know, but, but you think about with aliens, for instance, and all these things, I heard about disclosure. I kid you not 40 years ago in Hollywood. They were talking about this. You know, and so if you think about a Star Trek Star Wars, all the movies leading up, that's just putting, like, little plants in our head that subconsciously's there so that when the time that they want to roll something out, you know, it's already set. And they've done this with so many different things. Well, it sounds like the Patriot Act, right? Because I've read the mockingbird. and essentially, the hypothesis, as they talk about, was that you could use media in the sense of television to, as propaganda, so you could-- - Powerful. - The war movement, right? That you could actually gain support for the Second World War by propagating, and there's actually a film I watched it on Netflix where they took the biggest directors in Hollywood and had to make war films. - That's exactly right, I mean, it's like the Frank Capra, the guys of the time, I mean, they made them, had them make war films. But just like that, they say, well, we stopped. It never stopped. - It got worse. - The Patriot Act came out and they're like, hey, 9/11, we're gonna have to listen to everybody's conversations, so we're gonna keep it safe, but they never turned it off. What Snowden was the one who said, we never turned it off, but there's, and that's how it is. Well, it was a good idea. And you can say thing about MK Ultron, and then the same things, they just said, well, it was, it was just proven that you could, and we stopped doing that when the war effort was over, and you're like, no, you didn't. - No. - Which is fascinating. And that's, is that, one of the strategies there is this predictive program, is that we're saying, like as far as the playbook there. - Part of the playbook, a lot of the people, so in my opinion, this work is in my opinion, but I think that you can't be an A-list Hollywood star unless you've succumbed in some way to these things. Like, you've basically given, they say that you sell your soul. I don't know if that's the proper term, theologically, but the bottom line is you've signed on the dotted line to where you're able to walk in this level of deception, and be somebody that these people behind the scenes can use. - Do you think that, like, but do you think that God has his, like, esters that he puts in there? - Yes. - Like, they get in, they become A-listers even though. - Well, they shouldn't be there. - But usually, eventually, at some point, they're gonna have to make a decision, like a Jim Kubezel or something. They're gonna have to make a decision where they're like, look, I'm gonna stand for righteousness. And at that point, I'd say almost every time I've seen it, they get blacklisted for life. - It's like a Mel Gibson, where you're just your own. - Yeah, but I mean, thankfully, there's alternative. Now we have the Christian movie world, and so some of those people were able to go and do family things and things like that, but they probably won't be on another Hollywood film. - I think the thing we struggle with in our spaces that, like, a lot of these things are nuanced, right? So you have, if you do have a war going on, sometimes they have a plan, or they have an operation or a project, and then, you know, God's people, God's angels, and God's mission thwarts some of those things. And so they're not always like, once we start this project, that's exactly how it's gonna play out. It's like, no, some of these things get taken down. That's right. - It's a war going on. - It's a spiritual war. - Not every single CIA operation is successful. - And so you're saying, like, is it akin to what you're talking about as coming into agreement? As we talk about, like, in sort of the, when we grid it out the way that, like, the supernatural works and talk to the deliverance ministers and the actresses, they talk about coming into agreement, making a agreement. So it's not like selling your soul. I think it's an interesting point. But you've just agreed. You've opened a door. - But there's a people that think, a group of people think that every single person has made this agreement. - Yeah, it's impossible. - No, it's not that coordinated. - Just consent. - They're not that, yeah. - It's not that coordinated. Just like what they refer to as the deep state. It's not that coordinated. - Yes. - But there is a group of people that are trying to push towards, I mean, look at, you know, try a lateral commission and all. You know, you get in all that stuff. I mean, there's groups of people see how far they're doing these types of things. But to your point, often it's thwarted or it doesn't go the way that they wanted it to go. And that's why we, as people got to have to understand the power of prayer. - Totally. - We can pray. And like, a lot of times somebody will call me or just saying to say, I heard I had this dream. This was going to happen to you. And I say, well, that's probably the Lord giving you instruction how to pray against it. - Sure. - You know, and cancel that assignment. But the key for us is, you know, David was a man after God's heart. And the thing about that, he was a good repenter, right? So, I think-- - You get a lot of dumb stuff, but you know, he's always apologizing to you. - Like me, I mean, like all, you know, it's like, so the thing is is, I think God looks at our heart. And when we expose our members to something. - Sure. - Okay, where we like say, you know, let's say you're looking so much into the occulter, you're looking so much into these things. A lot of times you open yourself up to those things. And that's why Lord says, focus on what's perfect with someone's right. Just like, if you do what the main thing is, which is be a soul winner spread the light of Jesus, you know, staying the spirit of God, you're not so much exposing. Now, different people have different ministries, obviously. But the key is, yes, it's not a fixed fight. I mean, it's not like, here's like the Tom and Jerry cartoon. Here's Satan, here's God, which I mean, God is omnipotent, omnipresent, the creator of all things. He's outside of time. Okay, he's the beginning in the end. Satan, Lucifer, created being, created being. And it's not, they're not on a level playing field. It is a fixed fight. So, the key is, is that we need to know our identity. And what we're able to do and accomplish through prayer. So, none of these nefarious plans, like, yes, they have plans, but I think we've thwarted them multiple times. If the body of Christ and people of God would come together and pray, that the Lord responds to the prayers, the righteous. Well, speaking of David, it's like, I think sometimes we, as Christians, we feel like Hollywood is the Philistine army, right? And there's no way we're gonna beat this. It's massive. It's got all this money. It's got these giants. It's literal, media giants. And the way that God works often is he just takes one small rock, and he brings down that whole thing. And so, I think as Christians, we always have to have this understanding of God's math. That's right. Is totally counter to the world's math. Very small rules. Yeah, very small rocks, but you know what I'm saying? So, it's like, even against crazy odds, God's can thwart some of these massive plans of the devil. Every odd in my life has been crazy. I mean, I should have lived after the stab. Like, there's been so many seasons where it looked like, you know, I was at the last, you know, and all of a sudden, God comes through. And I think, so many, whenever I go preach somewhere and I say, how many of you have experienced a miracle? It's like 99% of people, usually almost everybody that's have experienced a miracle. And it's like, well, if God did it before, can he do it again? Yes, of course he can, you know? So, I think we just need to know that and have faith is the currency of the kingdom. You think about it, right? So, it's like, without faith, you can't please God, but with the faith of mustard, you can move mountains. So, imagine if you have big faith, right? So, yeah, I think, I think that we're in, probably one of the most opportune and disruptive moments in our lifetime and maybe even in history because everything is shifting right now. So think about the last presidential election. What did President Trump's people understand? They understood to go to podcasts. Why? Because podcasts were rising so much in influence that podcasters were getting more views than MSNBC and some of these other, so it's so disruptive. So, to your point, there was these gatekeepers in Hollywood and in the industry that for years, kind of curated the flow of information and media. And now all of a sudden, there's been this opening of the floodgates with new media where you have podcasters and documentary filmmakers and all of a sudden it's like, you know, the internet. And so, here's where the enemy's now trying to infiltrate is he's put fake counterfeit podcasters and fake counterfeit 'cause they've understood the power of this now. And so, now they're infiltrating this. So, this is where we just have to have discernment. But it's kind of like the flow. It gets disrupted and then it finds another. You see it, you're like, "Oh, a certain wife from a certain president had a number one podcast, all of a sudden, over nine years." You're like, "I don't know about those numbers." But did you have any conversations with other people in Hollywood when you were in the height of it that are like some things off here? Almost everybody. Just talking to you, like, almost everybody. You're both hanging out at a party in the corner just having a-- - Yeah, 'cause we've all heard the stories that have sort of leaked out to about like Bieber and some of them, maybe perhaps horrific things that happened to him as a child in the space. And you don't have to get too much of that. But these are just all-- You feel like signposts that are like, "Oh, and yeah, and yeah, okay, this is not just conspiracy, or it's conspiratorial." There's something just profoundly evil that is happening. - And our kids, this kid's generation of kids kind of understands they make fun of like, they'll say like, "Ditty." And some kids are like, you know, they joke, they know. But it's a joke to them. But my tenure was like, he's kind of gotten Michael Jackson recently. He was like, "What's up with Michael Jackson? "Is he good or bad?" And I was like, "Well, I was like, "I think they tried to brand him as bad, "but he was a kid who went through the system, "I really messed him up." And he cared about kids. So from my understanding, as people have never said anything that he did anything, so I think he was trying to protect the kids. - But I don't know. - Perhaps, who knows? - But I don't know. - It's hard to say. I mean, I did hear from a minister that I know that he was able to minister to him before he died. So, you know, I'm hopeful there. But, you know, he came out of a very interesting childhood. But sometimes you don't, you think the good guys are bad guys, the bad guys, the good guys. - Well, 'cause if they sigh off back and forth. - If you come out against the system, they will go after you, and they will smear you, and accuse you. - 'Cause I'm an individual. I mean, he's been smeared up and down. We're doing standard freedom. - I mean, Mel Gibson, and after doing the passion, like these guys, you know, were horrible. - Yeah, horrible. - 'Cause there was this thing with McCalli Culkin when he was younger, and I guess him and Michael Jackson were friends, and he was trying. Michael was trying to tell his parents, like, you gotta be careful. But I don't know. I mean, it doesn't mean you can't get corrupted at some level, but it was an interesting conversation half with my 10-year-olds, 'cause he wanted to know. And I was like, I hope that he was a good guy, but this system, this, you don't wanna go being a childhood actor, being a star, being in this, as a kid, is it almost a curse every time? - Especially in the '80s, and that period of time. I think there's a little more accountability now. - Yeah. - But you had, like, Nexium, you had, like, you said, Diddy, you had Epstein, you have all these different things. So I think people are more covert at this point, because of the conversation that we're now having, but did that casting college? And I mean, I, I, I felt really weird in a couple. There would be times when I would be doing an audition like your parents have to stay outside. - And I'd be like a kid in this room. Thankfully, I don't think anything crazy happened like that, but I think that it could have, and it did happen to many of my friends. - That's sad. - Yeah. - Let me ask you this. I mean, you planted a church for. Simply for Hollywood celebrities that want to know Jesus. That's been that you did, right? - In California. - In California. - We had that for many years. - So I mean, when people are coming out of that system and wanting to have an encounter with Jesus, and wanting to get to know Jesus, like what kind of things are they carrying? What are you encountering people are bondage? And what kind of bloons and, or we can say, agreements with those people carrying as they're trying to exit. - It's pretty significant. Yeah, I mean, there's a discussion in the public forum now with, I think, Tulsi Gabra was talking about, you know, MK Ultra and some of these programs. But, you know, to your point earlier, it's not so ubiquitous. It's not so, like, everywhere. But the thing is, is, did it happen? I believe it did. And there's a lot of these people that come out, they call it fragmentation and multiple personality. A lot of what happens, and there's some people that have done really heavy discussions and research into this that have kind of been like four runners, that before this was like more of a mainstream conversation. Like, there were people that were trying to, I think Kathleen O'Brien was her name, but there's like, people that have come out, you know, and some of the, if you're years. - Yeah, Kathy O'Brien is like that. She wrote the book here. - Talking about this stuff. But what they said was pretty real. And a lot of people experience it. And really, when you go through a traumatic experience, what we found, you know, they call it science, but through medical research and things like that, is that people tend to put those feelings in like a place, like a fragmentation to where they separate themselves from that traumatic experience so that they can basically function. And so a lot of times when somebody's coming to the Lord, that's where we talk about deliverance and healing, and the Bible talks about this. But we say you gotta get up and out. You know, like you gotta kind of take that head on and then denounce it in the supernatural and say, "Look, the Lord has healed me." I talk to more people that have been molested that have had, you know, rapes or that have had, you know, multiple abortions or more people have had these types of experiences than you will ever. I mean, a lot of people that are very put together and you get them behind the room and you start ministering them. You fight out, they went through. They're just better at, you know, putting that suppressing it or maybe they have been healed. But all of us need to, the Lord says that what was meant for evil will be turned around for good. So the very thing that the devil wanted to use to destroy us, like my stabbing and my past, the Lord will return that around for his good so that you can reach those people. But we have to receive the healing that's available through the Holy Spirit. And that really takes us, you know, giving ourself under the Lord and saying, "I accept you as my Lord and Savior. I need healing, Holy Spirit, heal me." And that's what I had to walk to. I mean, it was just like a process. And I think that once you get you healed of one thing, okay, now let me heal you this. And it kind of just keeps going until the day that you die. But you're always working through your healing and letting the Lord minister to you. But that's what, I mean, it was deep darkness. There was a lot of different fragmentation, a lot of different things. And it takes a lot of time. A lot of time you got to spend with some people and walk them through it, you know? - Had you not been stabbed? Do you think you'd still be? - No, that's why God let me be stabbed, I think. Because honestly, have I been hurt in church settings? Yes, have I seen corruption? Yes, have I, you know, I'm not talking about a fence, but I'm talking about legitimate things that I probably would have walked away, absolutely. And I think that if I didn't have this experience, I probably wouldn't be as fortified. But because that I know that I know that I know, it's kind of like I've been able to separate like those things from a personal relationship, you know? - It's funny, because when I think about the prodigal son, I think about people who party and get into drugs, alcohol. It's like sort of a sin of a flesh. You know what I mean? Like I want to experience, I want to be a flesh, they will live worldly fleshly, we say. But then you have these judgmental kind of Christian types that seem to struggle with the sins of the spirit. - Yes. - I'm jealous, I'm mean, I'm angry, I'm a dick, I am super judgmental. And there's this combat, but it's like the people that seem to find the bottom the rock bottom of the flesh, swing hard back in, and they run up against these judgmental Christians and they go, well, now I don't know where to go. 'Cause I know I'm with the Lord, but I don't want to be with you guys. And we interview a lot of ex new age people who come into Christianity and go, and this is just as bad as what I left. What do I do now? You know, and then all the church-pube people are like, you're still with the devil when it's like-- - You didn't do it, or not that way, and that's not the way to do it. You can be converted, but not this way, you know? - Right. - Don't be so excited about it. That's what I think was always hit me with these kind of people that come out publicly. - You're too far. - Yeah, it's like, and sadly-- - Of course you will be. - The Christians just want to pee on that fire. - Man. - And like, wow, you need to go through the eight steps of discipleship, which great, discipleship needs to happen. But like, I mean, I was talking, I don't bring this up sometimes. I was talking to Richie the barber. I don't know where his faith is right now, but when he came out, he wanted to come back on. - He more or less was just like, man, I want to get into deliverance. I want to go help people get free. And it was Christians just being like, you can't do that. You don't have any training. You don't know your Bible. - Or you've got tattoos, you look like a clown. - You're wearing the wrong clothes or you said something or you had a little bit of an attitude. So it's this like-- - I dealt with this the entire time. I mean, I Christian, it hurts me. - What do you do? - How do you keep that from? - The only answer I have is like, to be the change. You know, I can't really control what anybody else is doing. Like, there's times somebody is like, accusing me or something. And it's like, I just try to reach out and be like, bro, can we talk? Like, you didn't even come to me. Like, just, let's have a conversation. Can you hear my heart? And they're not open to that. And I think about that's exactly what Jesus dealt with 'cause he was dealing with Pharisees and Sadducees is that religious spirit. You know, so that was like the spirit that basically ended up bringing him to the cross. So it's what we're dealing with today. So I think if you have like a real encounter with God, you're gonna probably deal with that spirit because that's the same spirit. So it is sad, but you gotta find your tribe. Okay, you gotta find people like you guys that get it. And it's just gonna be cool with you. And like, I'm gonna be real like, if something happened tomorrow, I know this isn't gonna happen, but let us say you fell off and all of a sudden you're like in the world and party. I'm not gonna be like, oh, man, I'm not gonna talk to you. Yeah, yeah. That's it. I'm gonna cut you off for, you know, you're even like, I'm gonna be like, bro, can we go grab a coffee or let's hang out and figure out what's going on. You know, like, I don't understand why people want to kick people when they're down. Well, I mean, no, no, Noah saves the world and then gets drunk and falls over and his man parts fall out of his skirt. Well, there's a lot of speculation. Well, sure, but I'm saying is like, sometimes people fall down. They have a burden, they're trying to help, they're trying to carry their human Peter. Yeah, I mean, let's go through the list, you know? So yeah, that's what is waiting in the crowd to point to finger, which is exactly who Christ railed against those people. Like, you're just waiting for someone to mess up. Did you see God pursuing anybody else in Hollywood along with so many people? Like, wait so many. Like, any crazy stories of like, 'cause obviously you have a non-stop pursuit for almost a decade. And a doozy of a story, yeah. But anyone next to you that's like, God's like fighting for them too. I mean, I think so many people, you know, I've seen so many people in Bible studies that you probably would never think would be a Bible study. Yeah, you know, I mean, I can't even name them all, but I mean, there's just a lot of people in Mark Wahlberg, so many different people over the years that have been through the Bible studies, you know, erases of, you know, we had eaten so soon as a friend of mine, you know, as like your father was the little. Yeah, I mean, there's so many people, but the thing is, is that you gotta show them love. Here's the delicate balance. It's like love and being available and being willing to disciple, not judgmental, but still love them enough to say so in the sense. So like, if they're messing with new age, you gotta say, hey, look, let me, but it's delivery. It's about the delivery. So like, instead of like, you know, hey, let me share something with you. I think that what you're messing with, let me show you why in scripture, and then you kinda gotta drop it, and they're gonna do what they're gonna do, but you'd be there for them when they have a question. I have so many people, governors, Congress people, that text me, my daughter calls it on the low or whatever, I don't know the word now, but you know, and people would never know, and I'm not bragging about, but it's like, why are they, why? Because you know what it is, they're looking for spiritual guidance, and there's a lot of pastors that aren't available. There's a, you go to like a mega church and you never even meet the pet, I'm not bashing on others. There's some very good mega churches, but the reality is that a lot of people can't get to a pastor, you know? And so when people find a pastor and they can sense that you are authentic, you know, not perfect, but authentic, they're gonna reach out. So it's amazing the influence that the Lord will give you. He'll bring you in rooms that you otherwise would never be in. He'll put you before people, and I think what that comes down to is the anointing, and it comes down to our heart posture. So like, God knows what we do in our secret time. God knows what we do, not when we're in public, but we're in private. And if you're a person of prayer and you get in the word, and there's an anointing that comes on you, and then favor comes on you. But you always do your best to exude the love of Christ, but you still speak truth, you know? - It's interesting, because you can feel the burden of Christ where he has the people that believe in him are skeptical, and obviously the religious are skeptical, and he's still trying to keep his mission, like everyone's against me at some point, right? And it's kind of a lonely road. Like everyone says, well, if you're Chris Pratt, you're a fake Christian. If you're Mark Walberg, you're a fake Christian. - Right. - You can't, because you're in Hollywood, so you're automatic that. Or if you're a mega church pastor, you're automatically, you know. - And not everyone-- - You're actually-- - You got to remember that Daniel was in Babylon, right? - Yes! - We were talking about this as Babylon. as you kind of laid out Daniel was there. - That's right. - And only was he there, and he was loyal, and then he became the most important person in the kingdom. - That's right. - We just want to label and we want to know. We want to have these podcasts where we call everybody out, we know every secret, you know what I mean? And for us, it's exhausting, 'cause someone will come on our show, and maybe they'll have a personal blunder or something, and it's like, oh, these guys are not. It's like, like as if we are a sum of the person who comes on the show, and I know what they're ever like. - So, you believe that, or like, - Well, just have to put it that they believe that. - There's a lot of mercy to be a Christian in the Instagram era. - Oh my gosh. - I mean, did Jesus, they asked her, how many times you forgive, you know, 70 times seven, like keep forgiving, I have to have a lot of mercy, because God had so much mercy on me, so I have to look, and so there's friends of mine that I love dearly, but I don't agree with everything they're saying, or they may be validating somebody that I'm like, that person, the toll falls profit or, you know, go on and on, but that doesn't end the friendship. It's just, you know, I share my heart, like I'll call 'em. I think direct conversation is so important, you know, I'll call 'em and say, hey, I don't necessarily agree with this, but I love you, you know, but here's why, you know, and you can, you know, but I want to be the friend that speaks the truth. But why do people feel like they got to go out and try to destroy this person's life? Like, the Lord is says vengeance is mine, so he's the one that's gonna, like when the guy has stabbed me, like I could have tried to kill him, but then I'd probably be in jail right now, right? But instead the Lord dealt with that man, and what did he do in my life? He expanded the territory, right? So I think that he's gonna bless us as we, we're not the person that needs to go out and be the Christian police, okay? We don't have. A lot of people think like, I'm the Facebook police, or I'm the internet police, and they gotta go out and enforce that is not our mission. Like, is there a time to speak truth? And once in a while, God may put it on you to expose something, yes, absolutely. But that shouldn't be your main ministry, you know, because if that becomes it, then you sit in that place and you're not doing the main thing. And the main thing, what did he say for us to do? Go and make disciples of the nations, right? Baptist, that's the main thing. So there's all these winds of doctrine and different things that people get caught up in. And I mean, you could be prophecy. Prophecy is good, but then prophecy can be bad. If every day you're forced to prophecy and you're not really prophesying with the Lord saying, that it becomes flesh, you know, deliverance is good. But if you make your whole life about demons, you're probably gonna be missing some of the blessings. In fact, you will. So I think everything's in balance and everything's being led by the Spirit, you know? - Yeah, I feel like the older brother was the Christian police a little bit. - Yeah, I can ask you about August, 2021 and your angel encounter? - Yeah, so this is an area where people will say, that's not true and that's, you know, I know. - But I think this is a, I mean, very blurry story. I was going to ask you. - Yeah, it's a blurry story. - So here's the thing. Okay, there's a few times in my walk where I've had supernatural experiences. Of course, one was when I got stabbed. People will say, that's made up, that's not true. Well, I have stabs all over my body. Like, obviously I got stabbed. You know, did I have a near death experience? Absolutely. You know, I, it was very real to me and so I'm gonna speak about what I experienced. And it's the same thing with this. So, you know, this many, many years later and I was being really pulled into a lot of the political stuff because I was, I felt like politics, I didn't go to politics, politics came to me. - Sure. - But what started happening was they were infringing on religious liberty and freedom. I mean, we looked during the, you know, COVID era and all that stuff. There was a lot of stuff. They were closing out churches. In California, they were telling us we couldn't worship because droplets of water were coming out. You got to shut your church and you can't worship it. So anyway, I started speaking out about it because I felt led in my spirit to do it. And what happened was it was like, all of a sudden, I got all the, I mean, I was at state capitals and conferences and, you know, and it was good. I think the Lord used it, but one night I'm in bed and, you know, obviously I'm with my wife and all of a sudden, I think I was asleep, but I don't know if I was awake or asleep, but it was as real as anything. There was an angel at the edge of my bed and people say, well, how tall? I don't know, probably seven feet or something, but, you know, at the top of the ceiling, right? It was hot and it was glowing, white or? - Pretty much, yeah, glowing, you know. And so, and if you look at the Bible, every time when they're having this type of encounter, the first response is like, paralyzed with fear. I will tell you that is the case. I was like, whoa, you know, and, and then I realized it wasn't a demon, it wasn't something evil because I could sense it was of the Lord and then there was a piece that came on me and basically just said two things, come out from among them and be consecrated. And as quick as that was said, it was done. - Yeah. - So, all after that, I'm, you know, kind of freaking out for lack of a better term, I mean, I get up a lot of bed, you know, I go into the other room, I'm pacing, I'm trying to figure out what just happened and then this just didn't leave me. I mean, for months and months and months, I'm praying, I'm like, Lord, am I not consecrated? Am I not? And what he was sharing with that, come out from among them, that's a scripture and I wrote a whole book on it by way. But basically, it's not to be, a lot of the things that we've covered today, he's calling a generation what I believe to be set apart. But, you know, to really do what the word is telling us to the best of our ability to hunger and thirst for God. - Like a remnant. - A remnant, there you go. To separate from, you know, we've covered some of these things today, but like, you know, not every mega church is bad, but some are not, you know, really preaching the full gospel and some are super motivational and some are, you know, I remember when I was pastoring Los Angeles, I met with a group of pastors and this one pastor comes up to me and he goes, "Hey, I'm really glad that you're speaking bullies "as I can't preach about all those things." You know, I'm like, what do you mean? You know, he's like, "Why can't cover that subject?" 'Cause if I do, I'd leave, you know, lose half my church. - So what? - Bro, like, what do you mean? - Exactly, like, just, you gotta speak the truth because I feel like I'm gonna stand before Lord one day. What if I don't share it? And, you know, I'm gonna be responsible for that. So, I just gotta let it go as it will, you know? But that's what coming out from on them. It's like, be, you're serving an audience of one. You're serving the Lord. It's not for the approval of man. And your heart has to be right. And then when you do that, you're in the right place before God, you know? - Yeah. - So that's what that whole encounter was at the end, and this was years ago now. But that's really what it came down to. And so then I started this process called consecration. And it's not to be confused with constipation. By the way, it's two different things, okay? But consecration, you start looking at your life and you're like, are there areas that maybe I'm not doing everything that God wanted me to do? You know, I had this dream one night. You know, it was so real. But the Lord started taking me through my house. And it was kind of like the ghost of Christmas past. You know that? - Yeah. - But I started going in like rooms and he's showing me things in my house and areas that were opened doors, you know? And it really changed me. And it ends over my daughter and my wife. And I'm looking at them. And as husbands, we can admit that but sometimes we get mad at our wives and sometimes we don't appreciate them, right? And I'm sitting and it's like in this dream, she's so precious and she's like an answer to prayer. And it's literally what I said earlier, like this is what you prayed for your whole life. This is why you, you know, just to have this family. And here they are and then years later and sometimes you forget that God answered your prayers. And then you're taking them for granted. I'm looking at my daughter just how precious and my wife. And you know, I think that's what consecration is just like appreciating what God's done. Looking at all the miracles in your life. And then getting rid of the areas that are the open doors and that, you know, do I get angry sometimes? Yeah, can I work on that? Yeah, can I ask the Holy Spirit to help me not to be an angry person, not to be bitter, not to be jealous, not to be insecure. Like, the first thing is admitting the problem. And then once you allow God to kind of come into those areas, you start really changing. And it's like, you look back at like a few years ago and you're like, "Man, I can't believe that I was doing that." You know, so it's a process. Well, how do you feel about like modern times now? Because it's like Hollywood was here. It's like, it was in the fiction world. And then somewhere in the last, you know, six years, they crossed. Oh man. It's like, we're now living in the movie. And you've got guys like Spencer Pratt in LA, like blowing the whistle on all this. Like dude, this part of the world is messed up. Yeah. And you saw it decades ago, what do you think is happening right now? It's, we're in what I call the most disruptive period that I've ever seen because everything is now being disrupted. I mean, you have the way that media is disseminated, disruptive, Hollywood, disrupted. Everything that we basically seen government disrupted. Finances disrupted. I mean, jobs disrupted everything, right? Think about our whole life. Okay, one of the big questions obviously is you're going to serve the Lord. Who you're going to marry? What's the next one? You're career, right? What are you going to do? Literally, you have guys like Elon Musk and they're saying, look, in the next couple of years, I mean, we're talking like by 2030, the jobs in market is going to be so disruptive with AI and robotics. And I mean, thousands and 100,000 of jobs, millions of jobs are going to be gone. Just poof. So that's kind of been like our identity if you think about it. And all of a sudden that's going to be very disrupted. So you can look at it as like a great disadvantage of like, oh my gosh, like they're trying to roll out digital currencies. We're literally seeing the best be system being put together. Things that like we didn't understand how they would happen. Now we're seeing like digital passports, vaccine passports and China and all these different things that what they're doing with the social credit score. Like these are all on the horizon. I have all these movies that are popping into our head, right? Yes. I think about the one that they wrote. The Terminator Demolition Man. And they rolled the VHS in like in Christian school and they put the Mark of the Beast video on. And it was like you got a barcode on your wrist. And they're like, yeah, it's literally so cheeseball. You know, there was, but there were people who were making good films that were like, yeah. Kind of showcasing little snippets of what it's going to have. Yeah, but we've talked about this before. Like if you look at the things described in Revelation, there's never been a time in history where these things-- They're on our possible, and now they are. - They're possible. Those technology, you've caught. - Everyone on the on earth can watch something play out like with the two witnesses, like that was not possible. - It was not possible. - I think that's also pushed a lot of people into the church and Bible sales. And all these things, people are like, oh, the movie's real. - Yeah. - I'm in the movie, it's the never ending story. Now I'm reading the book, and I'm in the book, and I'm in the movie, and it's all happening, you know? And there's a big call, people are like converting, that you never would think would convert. What do you see happening? - People are more open than ever, ever, ever before. So this is where I've changed my thought process. So we would have conferences, and I would market to other, you know, the Christian community, like, hey, come to our conference. My thought process now is, can I somehow reach those club people, the people, you know, we're in Nashville, the people on Broadway. We're, I want the unchurched people to come, because why? When I'm in a public, or, you know, just supermarket, whatever, I'm in a coffee shop, I'm telling you, I'm on planes, like, if you start talking to somebody, and you start sharing, there was this one situation I was in, like, the middle of nowhere. It was like a small airport, and I think it was like, Springfield or something, but, and there was like, one flight back to Nashville, right? And so that one flight gets canceled, and I'm trying to, I think there was one other airline that had a flight, and so everybody from that flight had to get into the line, right? So we're all on this line, and this woman looks at me, and she goes, I hate you, like she's sitting right behind me, is tied it up to a woman, she goes, I hate you. And I'm like, what, you know, and she goes, I know who you are, and I know what you stand for, and I hate you. So I'm like, okay, preacher, here's like, you know, are you gonna be, are you real or not? Like, can you win this woman over, you know, here's your moment, right? So I start praying, and I start talking, and I said, what do you mean you hate me? She says, well, I'm lesbian, and I am Democrat, and I, she just starts going through a line of things, which are like opposite of my world view, and everything that I stand for, basically. So, I'm like, okay, and so I said, can I talk to you for a minute? She's like, well, yeah, I mean, obviously we're in line, like I have a captive audience. And so I have to deal with her, and she has to deal with me, and she's already expressed that she hates me, right? So we start talking, and you know, I said, let me explain you why I am who I am, because I actually understand more than you know, like what you're saying, like I actually get it. I came from not the gay lifestyle, but a similar type of lifestyle. And so I start going through kind of what we shared today, my testimony, and the stabbing, and how I partied, and all these different things, and how honestly I don't like a lot of people that call themselves Christian, because judgmental and all the different things. And so anyway, we get through this like, probably half our presentation where I'm saying this, and she looks and she goes, well, maybe I don't hate you, maybe I just hate the people that you hate. And so all of a sudden there was like a shift. Now, I would love to tell you that I want her right there in letter to the Lord. - She's baptized and spirit realized. - But what it was was I was able to kind of win her over, and I think it was the Holy Spirit that was leading me, but you know why the testimony? And I thought to that scripture, it says we overcome by the butterlamp and the word of our testimony. And I thought this is the thing is like, what we do is beat people over the head with the Bible, or that religious spirit that you talked about. And so I knew this woman that was like a famous tattoo, or she started coming in the church, and everybody's telling her she's a witch, and she's all these awful things. - Yeah. - You know, she's like a brand new Christian, and she's like, I just had this encounter with God, and I just want to be Christian, and hear these Christians who tell me I'm a witch, you know? So anyway, I think that that's where we can all do better as soul winners, and as people that are evangelists, and have a heart for people that are lost, is to like kind of, Paul says, you know, be all things to all people, but how can we be all things to all people? How can, without compromising? - Right. - You know, how can we be that person to where I can meet this woman who's obviously in a lifestyle of sin, obviously not like somebody I'd play hang with, but how can I like show her that I'm not judging her in the sense of she thinks, but yet loving on her. And so anyway, it was a victory for me, because I walked away, we gave each other a nap, you know, I don't hate you, and I just think like God's gonna put some other people in her path, you know, she's on her journey. - Just plan a seat. - And what if we thought about it like that? - It's hard not to be triggered, 'cause I think the religious of Jesus, they were triggered, everything he said triggered them, and then Jesus is like, you know, he's obviously showing this emotional regulation, he's saying things like, you know, they don't know what they're doing. - Right. - And I think we have to do that. - That's it. - Like the world doesn't know what they're doing. And we have to sort of put that burden back, it's like, this is your mission, God, I'm just here trying to be as obedient as possible. - Just right. - Whatever I do. - I don't think the whole system is set up to tribalize us and put this against each other. So that the whole thing is set up. It's set up to make us hate each other and war each other. - Yeah, no denominations in heaven. You're either in or you're out. - Yeah, you know, there's not like a Baptist section, a Pentecostal section. - And with your death experiences, you realize it's even a little blurry of who gets these moments. And God is the judge, and God knows the heart. And we want to be God, really. - Yeah. - I think a lot of people go, a lot of narcissistic people go to the church because we want to have, we want to know what the rules are. We want to impose those on everybody else. - Right, what's the motive? You know, what's the heart posture behind it? You just think everyone who comes to God has got this pure motive. - No. - There's a lot of different motives. I mean, there's a business of Christianity. I hate to say it, but there is. There's a lot of, there's money, there's power, there's influence, there's all different things. And some people see that as, hey, that's my objective. But if we could find God's heart and just be like, hey, you know what? I'm going to wake up today and like, how can I be the best representative? You know, and maybe it's not about that. Asselor, I said, why are more people discipling these days? 'Cause you tell us to go make disciples. And the Lord showed me like, that's 'cause you can't be like, here I am with Johnny at the coffee shop discipling. People want to be on the stage. They want to be with the platform. They want to be with the audience. And all those things are fine if you don't make an idol. But what about the time where somebody's just pouring into someone? - Takes an investment. - That's what literally, you know what saved me when I got first saved, there was a guy. And he was a very humble man, family man. He would go to the Mexican restaurant. He would go to a coffee shop and sit with me for hours and lovingly rebuked me and answer my hard questions. And it was, I don't think that I'd be here today if somebody wouldn't have done that, you know what I'm saying? There was a couple of people that were willing to do that. And I think that sometimes we don't realize, you know, we want like somebody says, well, my Bible said only has five people. Great, well, God's entrusted you with five people. Like, how are you going to steward that? Like, what are you going to do with those five people? Are you going to leave? Sorry, I'm doing pretty good. - I mean, he said go and make disciples of all men. Like, that's what the mandate. - That's the mandate. - But I think it, in our 32nd generation, it's not flashy, it doesn't get you attention. And it requires, it's slow, it requires investment. And it requires person to person. You can't do this on a screen. - That's right. - And I think those things are, I think there's a, that's part of the agenda is you can disconnect people. You can't new discipleship, right? And I, I guess it's a pertinent message. We actually, we talked to Robbie about this. It's reminding me of an episode we did last week. - You know Robbie Galady? - Yeah, yeah. - And Robbie talked about that. - Robbie's big thing is discipleship. And it's, I mean, I have to say the same thing. I remember there are older men in my life when I, when I, like you were talking about your daughter, when I was really made in my faith mind. There were season and older men that came into my life and shepherded me to help me walk into the things that, and did I have some strain and things, but yeah, absolutely, but they were always like there to, as you say, gently, correct course and be like, look, I don't know about that, man. I think maybe you, you know, you got to think about what you're doing. Maybe you have to think about the way you're living, et cetera. But yeah, I had the same way. I don't know what would happen with my life. I didn't have men committed to the Lord that decided to, hey, I'm going to spend some time and pour into this younger man because I see something in you, right? And I think that's, people want to hear that. They want to see, like, I see greatness in you. I see what you can be. I think so many young men walking around our desert for that too. Yeah, because they, all they really want is their father to say I'm proud of you. That's right. Or I see, I can see that you can be a man. And I think we have an epidemic of fathers that aren't doing that. And I also think that that affirmation also is then echoed by our father in heaven who says, like you're perfect and you're worth it. And that's why I went to the cross. And I, I mean, I love that. I don't know what it is that's happening in some of these, you know, in the atmosphere in Nashville, Franklin, in these spaces. But I do think that there is also a revival of everywhere. People being called to disciple, which is just, that is what changes everything. Evelyn is on the doorstep now. Just open the door and open. It's standing right there. That's right. And you're like, oh man, this is real. I can't slip back into generations where it was kind of underground. Go through the toy aisle of a big box retailer and see what they're trying to sell our kids. And they literally did a live one day. And I was just walking through. I'm like, monster this and witchcraft this. And it's like, seriously? Like these are little kids. I'm a four year old. That's your old. The crazy thing is these kids are taking these things and putting them in their house. You know, and it's just like, wow, you know, and so we have to be aware as parents, and you go to like a streaming platform. Streaming platform, you look at the kids content. It's almost all dragon, witchcraft, sorcery. What? Like, you know, so it's your point. It's literally right before us. It's in, and so we have to recognize this is the reality. This is the reality of our world. But to your point, it's revival is, is upon us. I mean, careful to say revival, weakening. 'Cause a lot of people use the term revival and it's not really revival. Revival really is his new life and it starts in our heart, you know. I mean, I've been in revival for years, you know. I really feel like, you know, we're seeing revival at our, you know, every pastor feels like they're having revival. But it's like, you know, the thing is is that what revival is his new life, new life. But what we need is an awakening. We need, in this country, the only, it's not going to be a political solution. It's got to be the church of Jesus Christ, the people of God getting back to them, thing to the mission, all the things that we discussed today, and allowing this generation. Yes, they're broke. I mean, tattooed green hair, they're going to be coming to church. Is our church ready? Are we really ready for revival? Are we really ready? We talk about, we talk about a big game, but like I get with my elders in our team. I'm like, these people are coming through the door. Are you going to call on your little security thing? Hey, we got a green hair person and you got to watch them. They make them feel awkward until they don't come anymore. Are you going to show them the love and acceptance, and that's what happened during the last Jesus movement. It was Chuck Smith, his elders and the people in the church. They were super used to things going the way that they go, and here comes these hippies that smell and they're barefoot, and they're trying to come, and it was a battle. It was a little battle, and that pastor had to make a decision and say, "What am I doing? I have to be the hands and arms of Jesus," and he ends up accepting some people left the church. He ends up accepting some of these people that came, and then what happens is there's this move of God that happens. Explosion. We're so ripe for that right now, and I really think that that's the whole reason why we're still here, and the whole reason why God's had mercy, because honestly, we don't deserve it as a country, but we've been given this almost like reprieve, a little extra time, and I think it's for us to do this because there is a harvest. God cares about these souls, and there are so many people that are about to come, and so there are reformers like yourselves that maybe don't look like the typical preacher or the typical person, but yet God's saying, "Actually, I want to use these reformers because they're speaking to the heart of my heart, and they're reaching a group that otherwise would never hear this, and that's the people that God is going after." And Gen Z is like returning to church. Big time, especially the men, more so than the women. So there is a hunger for something authentic, especially authentic. I think that's what this generation is who has grown up with the internet, and these things we didn't have, the internet and screens and phones, they're looking for something that is real. I think that's why they're also on the flipside.coin, the new age is exploding, because they just say, "Hey, we've got some stuff over here, and it's real," and it's like the sorcerers back in the Bible, you never know that they've tried it. I think everyone is once, everything is fake, that's like a food, that's fair, that's serious. We're all like, "Now, is that fake, is that AI, is that real?" And now I think a spiritual lane, the good or the bad one, feels a little more real, feels a little tangible, feels like an analog something, and that's what we want. And I think that, it kind of reminds me of, too, of how the church should be sometimes is like, "I don't think it was a mistake that Jesus walks up on a hill and then starts saying something." If you want to be a part of this conversation, you got to do a little something. Get up the mountain. And it kind of weeds out some of the tire kickers, naysayers, and the frustrated people. But I think this church is so convenient these days, so it's easy to walk in and make it a social club, a country club. I mean, if a poor person walks into a fancy country club down here in Franklin, people are going to be like, "We get this attitude at the church of who's in, who can come, and what we do when we're here, and then when the people who need to walk in, walk in, it's a little bizarre, it shouldn't be the other way around." No. All you got to do is just put that burden back on God, and that's it. It's not your responsibility. When I came into the church, I had come from, like you said, one of the best club scenes. I mean, you had Frisco, Miami, Europe, you know, LA was like the best club scene, so these were legit parties. I mean, you know, I'm not glorifying them. I'm not glorifying them, but you know, let's just be real, right? And so when I came in the church, it's not like a party in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Is that what you're saying? I don't know. Nothing wrong with those. I'm sure they're good too, but here's the thing. They were trying to be like MTV, but they were doing a really bad job, you know, they were smoking mirrors and all these different things, but it was like, I don't need that. And I was looking for somebody just to be real, and thankfully God led me to somebody who was that could speak my lingo and my language, and that's really what solidified me in my walk. But to your point of self, yeah, I led you right to myself. Yeah. So, you know, the thing is, is I think that people like Bloodhounds, they can sense authenticity at this point, and there has been so much fake and gimmicks and different things that I think people just, you don't have to be perfect, but they need to see that you're legit and that you mean what you say. And you say, and a lot of it is not what you say. It's what you do. Yeah. You know, they're looking at your actions and your lifestyle and, you know, what happens when God entrust you with more power? What happens when God expands you? You're going to become prideful? Are you going to, you know, or are you going to say, oh my gosh, I do this with fear and trembling of the Lord in a good fear? But you know, I want to steer what you've given me. So I think, you know, it's a lot of stewardship. It's a lot of, but people are watching these things and I think we all need to be, that fear of the Lord is a good thing, you know, and I think we need to have a healthy fear of the Lord. I agree. Thanks. I agree. Yeah. Appreciate it. I still trying to stab you. What's that? I know you've got to try to stab you again. Yeah, but thankfully I have the Lord protecting me and a good security team too, but no, you know, there's some really, last couple of years, there's been a few groups that have not liked some of the message. And I think that'll probably always be the case, but you guys should be preyed up and you can't let it affect what you're going to do. There's always going to be naysayers and haters, but I think it's just between us and God. So as long as I'm here, I'm going to share what I share. And then if the Lord allows me to go home, I'm going home, but you know, I got to keep, I think if I stop doing what I'm doing, I probably would die because I think this is what God is. I made a deal with God, you know, so I'm going to stick to my end of the bargain. I think it's cool. Your story is very powerful. I love the story. I think it's fun. You come a long way and I think we were two California kids. We kind of grew up a little bit closer and we kind of, you know, we would go down to Southern California on like, I friends who went to Skid Row on mission trips or we'd have, you know, Southern California. We would go to Disneyland and you're like, oh, man, this is like the mecca of everything that's cool. And you're just telling you on the teacups and you hate it. What are they? This is a torture device. You're in like an LA making an album and just kind of just getting the vibe down there and kind of going, oh, this is crazy, I remember going to the magic castle down the way. Oh, yeah. That was a kind of weird place. And then you're kind of around like these, these like, like, something's going on down here. It's different than, and I didn't, at that time, I didn't know any of the blurry stuff. Right. I kind of thought that there was some dark stuff there, but I didn't really understand it. Like you did. And then when Kurt Cameron came on the show, yeah, I was talking a little bit about like the Hollywood scene. He gets it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And he felt like God protected him from, for sure. For getting to into the party scene. Yeah. So it's interesting, like, we've kind of tipped out around these times. Well, I've been. Thanks for talking to us about it. Absolutely. I mean, I think it's a needed conversation. And, you know, if everybody could pray for us and me sharing these things, I mean, there's a lot of spiritual warfare around it, but I think we need to talk about these things. So, you know, I need intercessors. I need people that are praying for us, but you know, there was a lot of times when I was at a club or a party and I was under the influence or something, and I would see demons. I would, I would see shadow creatures. You know, I, I think that a lot of quantum technology and things that we're now getting into is actually touching into the spiritual realm. And I think the spiritual realm is very real. You know, they can't figure out what these qubits are, how they're going all these places at once. I think about different worlds and different parallel universes, but what I think is happening is that we're at the end of the age and that technology is now catching up to spiritual things. And so, when you're under the influence of drugs, they, you know, if you think about alcohol, they call it spirits. Okay. You're literally opening yourself up and sometimes you see into that other realm and that's what I feel like I experienced and a lot of that going on in Hollywood. And so, I think a lot of these people that have been around, like Kurt, you know that there's something inherently evil going on. You sense it in your spirit, even if you're not a Christian, you can, there's something that you know that is happening and you're trying to figure it out, you know, and so that's what led to my journey was even though my mom was preaching to me a different things. That really was, I mean, she her prayer is definitely, but it was these experiences being in Vegas at the Duluthu-Gurbanak party and coming home drunk as could be and literally hearing demonic entity speaking to me. I mean, it was like those type of experiences, I'll never forget it. You talk about them, you sound crazy, but when you're living them out, and I remember that night, I went to Caesar's Palace and I was in the room and I got on my knees. This is before I was a Christian and I started praying to God, you know, and there was times I was like, "God, if you're real, reveal yourself to me." Yeah, yeah. And I think if you start doing that, he will, because the Bible says, "Drawn near to me and I'll journey near you." That's funny because I think one of the things that happened to me in my life that was just like a funny experience was my band got to open for Jim Blossom's at the Mandelae Bay in Vegas. And I remember they took us to the VIP club on the mix on top of Mandelae Bay and then they took us in the VIP section of that club. And it was just us. They were like, "Hey, Jell-C." "Hey, Jell-C." But I remember sitting there and there was this like Hollywood exact with like three girls around him. And in the middle of this, like, it's like two in the morning, we just played this rock show at the beach at Mandelae Bay and I'm sitting there. I'm kind of burned out and this lady taps me and she goes, "Does this guy love me?" And I'm like, "Look over my shoulder." And she goes, "Because he's just talking to this other girl, but I'm here with him. What do you think?" And I'm like, "I think you're looking for God's love." That's what I told her. And I'm like kind of buzzed and I'm not like, and it was, she was like, "What does that mean?" And we just had this conversation about God in this VIP lounge. Yeah. I didn't know I was not that kind of guy, but I remember thinking like, "Man, I think he was a big exec from Lionsgate or something." And she was just asking me, "What am I looking for?" And I'll never forget that moment of being in the weirdest places and the VIP lounges people are looking for God, and I think that was your story. That was so my story. We were at the hotel in Hollywood and there was cocaine lines and everyone's partying. And I started, this is like in the beginning of my journey, but I started talking about God. When you're on drugs like that, I started talking about God. It goes, "Deebsy, where's that talking about God?" I'm a golden God. Oh my goodness. And this girl looks at me, and I'll never forget what she said, but she says, "Well, just do it already. You're always talking about God. Just do it already." And man, I went home and I thought about that. I was like, "You know, why am I talking about God?" And then I'm living this life, like clearly there's a, you know, and so that was, I was working it out in my own head. But yeah, I've seen so many times in crazy places that you would never think, and yeah, here's this God appointment, and, you know, that's what I think led me to where I am today. But we can't forget those people, because there's a lot of those people right now in those places. And that's where I think we got to reach those people. Well, I think some of the most real people are in those situations, because they're just desperate for like some connection to whatever all this is. Right. And you probably surprised finding a lot of people talking about God in the weirdest places. Way more than people think. We got to lead the four walls. The four walls are good. Don't forsake the assembling of the brethren, but 99% of what Christians do is outside those walls. And I think that's where, you know, I have a lot of friends that are from back in the day that are on my Facebook and things like that. And it's interesting. I'll never think they read my posts until one day I'll say something and all of a sudden they comment. But they're watching, and this is the thing I kind of hate, but we're always arguing about theology, we're always arguing about, and it can get really vicious on social media. And just remember, those people are watching that. And they're trying to make a decision like, I think they actually are closer than a lot of people think. But then they look at the church and like, well, if I go there, this is what I'm going to do with, you know, and so somehow we have been given mercy in this time to get real, to be the change. Yeah. And to reach these people. And that's why I've shifted my personal perspective of like everything that we do now is, like, how can we impact the city? I don't want to be another number, you know, there's a church on like everyone. There's great churches. There's not great churches, but I want to, I hope that our group would be known as people that reach the lost. And that's what my life is dedicated to. That's awesome. Love it, man. Your story's cool. It's wild. God used every part of it, and I love that. So keep going. Keep doing it. You got a couple books out. You got a show. A remnant revival church in Nashville. You have a church. People can come see you at church. Let know where they can find you. And what you're up to. Thank you. Do you have a church in Hendersonville? So it's not too far. Ah, man. Ah, man. But we right now we're meeting on Friday nights, but you can just search under my name and it'll come up. And we meet at 630. Yeah. I do a podcast every week. We talk about a lot of the things that we talked about today and just things that God puts on my heart. And yeah, we got these two books and I tell people with the books like I personally and I'm all four books. I mean, some of my friends are in some amazing book, but for me personally, I want people read the Bible. So it's kind of read the Bible first, right? Then read my book. But make sure you're in the Bible. But the thing is, is these books are complimentary. They have a lot of scripture and they're kind of like really instructive about how to get through the times that we're in. And then it brings it all back to the Bible. So that's, you know, I'm hoping that their impact. We got a lot of really good feedback, especially from the latest one, the Isaiah Blueprint, which is crazy. And I'll just get it real quick. We got a 45, 46, and 47 is literally the time that we're in right now and it's like a mirror. So if you read those chapters, it's crazy, prophetically and I think the Lord is doing that right now. So that's where I wrote the book about. You got to go read the Bible. If you'd like to read the Bible in a year, we'd appreciate it. We'd go for a pretty good book as well. Yeah. You can book up. When we joke, you're working on an island, a record down in the island. Yeah, your children, man. That is cool. Get out of here. Get out of here. You're not a loud singer. You're not a ego in the island. They say. Well, I appreciate what you guys are doing. Thanks for having me. You got a good show. You're reaching a lot of people. So we're praying for you, man. Thank you. Appreciate it. Thank you. Appreciate it. ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪

Summary:

FAQs

Todd grew up in Hollywood as a child actor, hanging out with famous people and attending parties. He lived a lifestyle filled with drugs, clubs, and promiscuity, which led to a deep spiritual crisis before he was saved through a near-fatal stabbing and a supernatural encounter with God.

After being stabbed nine times and nearly dying, Todd had a near-death experience where he heard a clear, audible voice from God asking, 'Do you want to live or do you want to die?' He answered 'I want to live,' and God told him he would have to share the truth about God's reality for the rest of his life.

After his encounter, Todd experienced three separate prophetic encounters—by an Armenian woman at Macy's, a man at a gym, and a man in a coffee shop—all quoting the same Scripture. These experiences confirmed his spiritual awakening and led him to surrender his old life and commit to following God.

He abandoned his luxurious lifestyle, left his high-income career in entertainment, and moved back to live with his parents. He began working a minimum-wage job, focused on spiritual growth, and eventually enrolled in a Bible college, which marked the beginning of his journey as a pastor and preacher.

He believes Hollywood is a 'Court of Babylon' where people bow down to idols and chase success, leading to spiritual emptiness. He sees the industry as a place where individuals 'sell their souls' to align with a deceptive system that promotes hedonism over truth and faith.

He emphasizes that religion is external and often based on tradition, while a personal encounter with God is transformative and life-changing. His own experience of near-death and divine voice changed his life permanently, showing that true faith comes from direct, personal experience.
