Ep. 2528 - Capitalism vs. Socialism: The Practical Breakdown You Won't Get Anywhere Else

This transcript is a compilation of political commentary, advertisements, and news segments from a conservative media program. The host promotes several Daily Wire products, including the action film "Run, Hide, Fight, Infidels," Matt Walsh's "Real History" series, and the film "Confession," while also advertising SimpliSafe security systems and Boll & Branch bedding. A major theme is the superiority of free-market capitalism, illustrated through Tesla's new Roadster demonstration featuring rocket thrusters and sub-one-second acceleration. The host contrasts American innovation with state capitalism in China, heavily regulated European economies, and communism, citing the failed Yugo as an example of government-controlled production. He criticizes California's proposed wealth tax and New York City's housing regulations as counterproductive government overreach. Politically, the host urges early voting through GOPvotes.org, warning that Democratic Socialists threaten American values. He attacks Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed over alleged extremist associations and mocks Democratic pandering tactics. The transcript also covers President Trump's low approval ratings alongside polling suggesting Republican enthusiasm is improving. News segments address an Oregon school shooting stopped by an armed bystander, allegations against Matt Gaetz, a transgender neo-Nazi's alleged temple plot, and Tucker Carlson's controversial comments. Throughout, the host emphasizes that capitalism and innovation, not government intervention, drive American success and safety.

GOPvotes.org is your partner in the fight. Go to GOPvotes.org right now. Make a plan to vote early. If you live in the critical Senate battleground states of Alaska, Michigan, Maine, Ohio, Iowa, or Texas, early voting is already underway this week, like right now. Democrats are energized. The stakes have never been higher. We can't afford to have people like AOC and her communist friends running the show. This is why I need you to make a plan to vote early right now. Go to GOPvotes.org to find your polling location, vote early, and stop the socialist takeover of America. Paid for by SLF PAC, not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee. Let's talk about your personal, your home security, your office security. Okay, so let's be real. What are most security systems designed to do? They're designed to notify. You after somebody has actually broken into your house. SimpliSafe does the opposite. It's actually going to provide you the system necessary to ensure that people don't break in in the first place. It's a monitoring system. Sure, it does all the things a normal security system does, but it's also going to ensure that people know that you are safe before they even try to break in. Like, you don't want to know after the guy's in your house. You want the guy never to enter your house. And that's what SimpliSafe is going to help you do. Join more than 6 million people who trust SimpliSafe right now. Save 60% on a new system with professional monitors. That's SimpliSafe.com/shapiro. SimpliSafe.com/shapiro to get started and start keeping all your stuff and yourself safe. Folks, a military thriller can give you elaborate conspiracies, international threats, and enormous action sequences. But if you don't actually care about the people. Who carry out the mission, none of that means much. And this is why The Terminalist is awesome. The people behind the mission. It's just great. The show is awesome. I love The Terminalist, it really is great. Chris Pratt returns as Navy SEAL Commander James Reese in The Terminalist Season 2, now streaming only on Prime Video. It's adapted from Jack Carr's best-selling novel, True Believer. This season sends Reese into a fight that tests his loyalty, his sense of purpose, and the bonds with the brothers he thought he'd left behind. Tom Hopper returns as Rafe Hastings, who's an awesome character, alongside returning favorites Constance Wu, Dar Salim, and Luke Hemsworth, with Gabriel Luna joining the cast as Freddie Strain. And the commitment to military authenticity goes way beyond putting somebody in the right uniform. Real-world military experience is embedded throughout the production, from the writer's room and the director's chair, to technical advisors, on-screen roles. This is realistic stuff. The people making this series are committed to getting it all right, for the people who have actually lived it. And that matters when you're telling a story about what service asks of individuals, what it asks of their families, and the sacrifices that very rarely we get to see. Of course, you're going to get the high stakes. But you're also going to get a story about loyalty, impossible choices, and the brotherhood forged under extraordinary pressure. Watch The Terminalist, Season 2, on October 21st, only on Prime. What is happening right now? What the F? I mean, what? That was a Tesla demonstration yesterday. Take my money right now. I showed this to my kids this morning. They freaked out. That right there is a 100% real clip. That is not AI or SI slop. It's not magic. It's science. And yes, it is capitalism. Alrighty, so yesterday, Tesla revealed its new Roadster. There's a purpose to this, which I'll get to in a second. But the footage is just amazing. It's just unbelievable. It really is incredible. And it's the kind of stuff. And one time, I asked Elon how he designed his car. He said, would a six-year-old be happy with this? I asked him why the Cybertruck looked like the Cybertruck. He said, would a six-year-old think it's cool? Well, at the time, my son was six. I asked him why he liked Tesla. And he said, because it's cool. And I will admit that my son, the one who's now three, his literal first word was Tesla. That was his first word before mama or dada, it was Tesla. Because we have one, and he liked riding in it. So Tesla is just. Another word for awesome. Check out this footage of the Roadster flipping over trucks as part of the demonstration. Okay, come on. I mean, come on. That is slick. And it's just using air, so it can refuel, apparently. It also goes zero to 60 miles an hour in 0.81 seconds. The big problem with this, by the way, was that Elon had wanted it to go zero to 60 in under one second. The problem is, cars tend to go airborne when that happens. And so they had to create technologies just to keep the car on the road.
Speaker 2Elon mentioned the rocket thrusters. I mean, listen, it's awesome. You can see that the thrust is exiting the back of the four thrusters faster than the speed of sound. So you see the mock diamonds. It actually creates over. 80 kilonewtons of thrust. There you go. 0.81 seconds. 0.81 seconds. There we go. Yeah, nice work.
Speaker 1It's just unbelievable, right? I mean, super duper duper cool, obviously. So what is the purpose of this thing? Well, first of all, they're showing off their next generation. Listen, what I really want from Elon is not the Roadster. I've said this before. What I want is a car with full self-drive that can fit all of my children. If we're going to have a demographic revolution in the country, I'm going to need a car. I'm going to need a car that fits all my kids. I actually have a Tesla Model X. It's awesome, but they stopped producing it. So I'm going to need a Tesla minivan with full self-drive. And yes, if it flies, that would also be very cool. I mean, as long as they're just requesting things. But according to Yahoo Finance, Tesla finally showed off the next generation Roadster Thursday night at a SpaceX test site in McGregor, Texas. That's nearly a decade after the 2017 prototype. Tesla said production starts in 2028. So originally, there was a 2020 delivery date. Finally, also, it gave a reservation page. $50,000 for the performance version. $250,000 for the thrust version. The single-seat rocket version, which is this one, is invite only. The Morningstar analyst Seth Goldstein expects Tesla to sell roughly 2,000 Roadsters a year. Calls it Tesla's new halo car. Basically, meaning the car that's sort of the top of the line, top of the line. But again, the purpose of all of this is to demonstrate what tech can do. And it's awesome. Here's Elon explaining. The goal was to take SpaceX tech and put it in the car.
Speaker 3You're going to see the results of what happens when you have a collaboration with the world's best car company and the world's best rocket company. And this is the culmination of incredible work by Tesla and SpaceX engineers working closely together to make something that you haven't seen in any movie that's better than any James Bond car. Better than, well, I don't know. I've never seen anything like this. So, you know, when I when I suggested this to the team, I thought, am I crazy?
Speaker 4Maybe a little bit.
Speaker 1And the answer is a little bit crazy is what gets things done here in America. Now, what Elon was doing here is what markets do with everything. Free markets. They make things. Cooler and cheaper and better. And sure, you're not going to be driving one of these around on the road. Because, frankly, what would you do with it? Right. You're stuck in traffic. You hit the you hit the button and suddenly your coffee is all over your face. But what exactly is the purpose of this? Number one, it's an engineering flex. Right. It shows what science can do. And two, Elon is making the case in physical form that Tesla and SpaceX should be brought together as a company. And that's something that Elon has been promoting. So what he's doing essentially is an AI vertical integration play. Right. Tesla tends to build physical. Physical AI, meaning like robo taxis, optimist, humanoid robots. SpaceX does kind of virtual AI infrastructure. That would be things like Grok orbital data centers. And they work together. These companies very closely. Of course, they're both Elon projects. They both partner with Intel on this TerraFab project in Texas, which is a gigantic foundry to design and scale custom microchips that they're using for everything from the autonomous vehicles to the robots to the space based computing. Also, the merger would give you on super majority. Control of the company if they both came together. So that's what he's doing here. It's smart and it's also cool. But what makes all of this possible? Free available pools of capital in a deregulated economy. That's what distinguishes American markets from Europe. Those enormous ready pools of capital. Elon is using those pools of capital to do awesome and cool things. And it's not evil materialism that robs your soul to say that this is cool. I've noticed many of the same people who are out there saying that capitalism is somehow emptying of the human soul are out there celebrating the coolness of this. Because guess what? Saying it's cool for a car to fly doesn't make you an evil materialist. It makes you a human. And it is cool. It is, in fact, awesome. So now we ought to point out that this has something to do with capitalism. You know, capitalism makes the best stuff and it makes it available to you. It's not just cars. It's also sheets and comforters and pillows and breathable blankets. You know what I'm going to talk about right now? Bowl and branch. It is the best bedding product on planet Earth. You can make your entire bed feel luxurious without feeling buried under it. At a certain point in life, you realize a really good night's sleep is one of life's great pleasures. I've realized that I have five children, five. That's a lot of kids. And they go to bed later and later. And that means when I get in bed, I need to fall asleep and I need to experience the joy of a comfortable resting environment. That's where bowl and branch comes in. Upgrade your sleep with bowl and branch. Get 15% off your first order plus free shipping at bowlandbranch.com slash men with code Ben. That's bowl and branch B-O-L-L-A-N-D branch.com slash Ben code Ben to unlock 15% off exclusions applied. And here's the thing. A couple of weeks ago, I actually had to stay overnight in University of Texas and I was overnight. You know what I forgot? I forgot my bowl and branch blanket. And you know what that meant? I slept like crap. I don't want to do that. That's why I bring my bowl and branch. It's just that good. As soon as you have the bowl and branch product, you will never want to sleep on a bed without it. Again, go check them out right now. Bowl and branch.com slash Ben code Ben to unlock 15% off. So we can talk about cars and capitalism. Here's how it works. If you have large scale pools of capital. In a deregulated economy, you end up with massive innovation like you just saw with Tesla. There's a reason that Tesla is an American company. Kevin Warsh, who's the Fed chair, he was at the IMF, the International Monetary Fund, and he talked about the AI benefits of a global economy, meaning how capitalism helps to develop cool new things.
Speaker 5The advent of this new technology is probably the most consequential change to the U.S. and the global economy in my lifetime to this point. So I take it seriously, but as a central banker, also soberly, responsibly, I'd say it's going to do several things. First, it's obviously hitting the demand side of the economy before it's going to hit the supply side of the economy. So if you're a central banker and you're in the business of trying to ensure stable prices and full employment, you've got to recognize this is a shock. But it's a positive supply shock in the medium term. I do fundamentally believe. But on the path to that positive supply shock, we're seeing increases in aggregate demand. That just is what it is. But I think of this shock differently than those other shocks you talked about. Shocks of war and military conflict and the rest. This one, there really is, I think, a huge benefit to the global economy, to the U.S. economy over the horizon.
Speaker 1Okay, and he's right about that, by the way. Again, there's a reason why all the top AI companies are located in, wait for it, America, because it's a global economy. It takes heavy expenditure of capital. Your capex has to be pretty high in order to grow. And that only happens in the United States. That's how you end up with Tesla. That's how you end up with Meta. That's how you end up with Google. That's how you end up with all of these major companies located in the United States. That is a good thing. That is an excellent thing. Okay, so take it from the car industry to other countries. So the other kind of economic system that can generate pretty nice cars is something called state capitalism. State capitalism or mercantilism would be the kind of capitalism that would be the kind of thing that you currently see in China. So China has basically run up its debt in order to subsidize development in particular areas, such as in Hitler's Germany also, economically speaking. Hitler's Germany can produce nice cars because if you take a bunch of money and you pour it into one particular area, then you can end up with some pretty nice cars. So China has a competitive automotive company. It's called BYD. The Free Press' Michael Dunn reviewed BYD a few months back and pointed out that BYD is on track to sell 5 million vehicles, about three times more than Tesla. At the lower end of the electric vehicle market, half of the cars are priced under $25,000. Now, he points out that Tesla's full self-driving package is way the hell better than BYD. Right, which is true. Again, capitalism, because here's the thing. If Tesla fails, there's another company right on its tail that is going to make moves in its space. That is not true for BYD in China. There's no competition there. So China will just keep pouring money into BYD. This is the problem with state capitalism, which, again, there are so many Americans who seem to want to do it. They just want a sort of economic fascism, China-like economic fascism. The left wants it. The right wants it. It's wrong. It also ignores the fact that China, again, has to rack up these enormous debts in order to pick and choose winners and losers in its own economic development. So we talk about the debt-to-GDP ratio in the United States, which is above 100% now. There's some independent analyses by groups like Capital Economics that indicate that China's total debt-to-GDP ratio across the public and private non-financial sectors is over 300% of GDP. China just lies about it, because in the end, what they will do is just cram it down on their citizens. In the United States, if we spend too much money, then we'll end up blowing away our bondholders. China tends to fund its debts internally by making its own citizens suffer, and they don't care because they're a fascistic economy and a fascistic country. The likely outcome for China is state stagnation over time. But again, if we are sort of ranking innovation in various economic systems, what you would say is, at the very top of the heap, free market capitalism. Second, state capitalism. Third, would be the heavily regulated economy, like deeply heavily regulated, where you allow there to be some private industry, but you regulate it so heavily that, effectively speaking, the government just runs it. And that is what you see in Europe. So yesterday, Emmanuel Macron announced a French-German agreement on automotives. Quote, with Germany, we have reached an agreement to secure the future of the European automotive sector. Are they going to do that with innovation? No. Quote, we are driven by a clear ambition to successfully transform our automotive industry while upholding our climate goals and our production in Europe. Our course remains unchanged. To drastically reduce carbon emissions and produce future electric vehicles in France and Europe, that is what European preference means. We hope this Franco-German dynamic can swiftly lead to an agreement with our partners for our jobs and our industry. We must be a continent that innovates, invests, and produces while protecting the climate and safeguarding our jobs while, again, heavily regulate things. And here is what you end up with. Emmanuel Macron earlier this week, in an electric vehicle from Citroën, this does not look like a Tesla. This looks like a piece of junk, is what this looks like right here. Like a hideous piece of crap. This looks like. There he is in a ridiculous car that has a string of light bulbs inside it. And even Macron looks distinctly unimpressed. That is not a nice car. I'm just going to put it out there. That car is hideous. That is a hideous car. Okay. And finally, finally, you have communism. So communism, which so many in America are also calling. Left-wing economics, where the government just nationalizes the means of production. Well, it turns out that communism sucks and government ownership of the means of production sucks, which is why, as N Wokeness on X put it, California has built zero miles of functional track for their high-speed rail project after 18 years and $95 billion over budget. And meanwhile, Elon is making flying cars and gigantic relanding rockets. By the way, communist countries have tried to develop cars before. There was a state subsidized car in Yugoslavia, which is now Serbia, called the Yugo and became a punchline. It was imported to the United States in 1985 as the cheapest car on the market, about $4,000. And it turns out that it was a piece of junk. The Yugo tended to fail. The replacement cost several hundred dollars. The quality control was awful. Like literal parts of the interior just snap off in your hands. The headlights, the windshield wipers would fail constantly. The body of the vehicle would actually just corrode because there was no rust proofing. It took 17. Seconds to accelerate zero to 60, which, I mean, you may as well have a horse-drawn carriage at that point. And there was one woman who was driving a Yugo across the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan. She was blown off the bridge by a gust of wind and died. So, yeah, it turns out that communism and even state capitalism, not the not the big pitch. So what am I saying here? I'm saying capitalism is great and communism sucks. By the way, you should check out. You want to know how much communism sucks? Don't just check out our brand new movie that is coming, which is going to be awesome. Confession. The one we've been pitching all week and that you will see soon. And I can't wait for you to see it. But also check out Matt Walsh's new episode of Real History on YouTube. It's the real history of communism. And let's just say that the real history of communism is absolutely hideous, truly hideous. And Matt does a great job with it. Go check it out on YouTube. Real History is a big hit for us here at Daily Wire. And just another reason you should be a member. Again, markets are great. Innovation is great. And innovation is particularly important when it comes to your safety. This is why SimpliSafe is awesome. They've been attacking Elon for years here. Do you remember when AOC? said that Elon was unintelligent. Which, again, is legitimately like Butterbean suggesting to Usain Bolt that maybe Usain Bolt ought to get in shape and be faster. AOC is one of the dumber politicians on planet Earth. Here she was insulting Elon Musk.
Speaker 6This dude is probably one of the most unintelligent billionaires I have ever met or seen or witnessed. Which, you know, you can probably even glean that from watching these people on TV.
Speaker 1She's not the only one. Ro Khanna, a person who is worth, what, $250 million because of familial wealth, I believe. He says that Elon is bad because he's not giving his money to build libraries. Like, because we need libraries. I promise you that the world is not in dire need of more libraries as much as it is in need. Of massive innovation.
Speaker 7It's this lack of social obligation. You know, I was in New York. I saw the Rockefeller Center, whatever else you think about Rockefeller. You know, he funded the university I went to, University of Chicago. He funded all of these public libraries and museums. So did Carnegie. Believed in giving something like 6% of his income to charity from an early age. I didn't know that. And you look at his plaque that was in the sort of Rockefeller Center and he talks about how he's just a, he's a custodian of the money and he really will be judged by his public impact. And you don't have today's founders creating libraries and universities. I mean, they're trying for their own immortality. They're trying to get to Mars. There's not a sense that they need to care about what happens in, in Lordstown, Ohio.
Speaker 1Again, all of this is ridiculous. It turns out that, you know, it helps people in Lordstown, Ohio. Innovation. Economic growth. New and better products. And services. For cheaper. The stuff capitalism does. And you know, you know what we don't need? Actually, again, one of the great lies that sometimes even capitalists tell themselves is that the thing that's great about capitalism is the sort of noblesse oblige. This idea that if you go out and you build a successful company, the best thing that you're going to do with that is to give the charity. Now, charity is wonderful. I give a lot of it. I'm privileged to have the opportunity to give a lot of it because thank God I do really well. But the main thing that I do in my life to help other people economically is my day job. Because we have like 200 people who are reliant on this company directly. And then we have, I'm sure, thousands of others who are reliant indirectly on this company. It turns out that Elon is keeping tens, if not hundreds of thousands of people employed. He is ensuring that tons of people get better products. He's ensuring safety, by the way. There are always these stories that are attempting to undermine innovation by suggesting, for example, oh, a full self-drive went wrong somewhere. Let me just explain. Human driving is so much worse than full self-drive. It is not even close. I literally entrust the lives of my family to full self-drive before human driving. Full self-drive is so good. I have it on the Tesla that we own. And my dad, when he was in a car crash, after he was in a car crash, which destroyed his traditional vehicle, I urged him strongly, he's 70, to get a full self-driving Tesla because its reaction times and judgment, particularly at night, are going to be better than his own. Technology is amazing. It's great. And by the way, if everybody were on full self-drive, we would be. We would be saving something like 50,000 lives a year in the United States. But naturally have complete useless people like Senator Elizabeth Warren, who, by the way, is very wealthy because she owns a bunch of rental properties in Oklahoma. She's out there suggesting that the only reason that Elon is wealthy is because the economy is rigged. Well, maybe he's wealthy because he has founded several extraordinarily successful companies. That would be the big thing.
Speaker 8Elon Musk has more money and more wealth than anyone in human history. I want to be clear. This is not just some fluke. It is a feature of a rigged economy. Donald Trump's big, beautiful bill cut health care for millions of Americans to give guys like Elon bigger tax breaks.
Speaker 1No, that's actually not what happened. But in any case, this is all just a case that is being made by like the Elizabeth Warren's and the Ro Khanna's and the O.C.'s for gigantic wealth seizures. With the idea that the government's going to do a better job with that money. Than anybody else, which is a lie. It's not true. It's not true. California right now is considering Proposition 40. Proposition 40 is a gigantic wealth tax. The Wall Street Journal writes today. That it's the most significant item on the ballot anywhere in America this cycle. That's only partly due to the fiscal math and the economics of the proposed 5% tax on those with assets above a billion dollars. On the merits, the policy is a dog. Its premise is that any and all private wealth constitutes an illegitimate, diversion of resources away from the state. This is foreign to America's political tradition in which property rights are a foundation of our liberty. The tax is entirely redistributive and punitive. And in this regard, its philosophical radicalness is underappreciated. The French, by the way, tried this. And it turns out. That not only have the French tried it before and it failed because all the wealthy people ran away from France. But the economists are currently pushing it. Emmanuel Saez, a University of California. Berkeley. And Gabriel Zuckman, both French. So now they're taking French economics and applying it to America. So if you like Emmanuel Macron in his own version of the Yugo over in France, you can have it. All you have to do is imitate California. And then, of course, they'll turn around and blame capitalism. I was amused as the New York City Housing Authority director, Melanie DiRigo, put out a statement. Quote, the U.S. is $40 trillion in debt with capitalism. No, lady, that's not how governments rack up debt. It's not capitalism causing the debt. Not a single capitalist is responsible for the debt in which the United States now finds itself. It is governments that rack up government debt. But that's the entire premise. Again, the premise for all these people is that somehow wealth confiscated from the people who create and innovate is better in the hands of the government. And it's not true. And by the way, you have proof positive in every area of American life that this is the case. Take, for example, home prices. So take a look at this chart. This is compiled from the. From the folks over at Google. Year over year, home price change in metropolitan hotspots. You may notice a pattern. Home prices have been diving in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Tampa. They are way up in Chicago, Hartford, Connecticut, Cleveland, Ohio and Michigan, where they're up 17 percent. Why? Why? Well, because Democrats put heavy regulations on buying and selling and building. Whereas in other principalities and municipalities, it turns out. That if you make it easy to build, then when the prices are hot, people build to meet the demand. And then when the demand drops off, the prices go down. That's how supply and demand works. Or you could alternatively just lie to people, which is what they are doing in New York City. Zoran Mamdani, according to the New York City website, is pushing affordable housing production. They're starting 12 fast track districts, representing one fifth of New York City's 59 community districts. But they've only produced 724 of 64,000 new affordable homes. Over the past five years because of regulations. Now they'll have a fast track that entails a three month versus seven month review procedure, skipping over city council review. What are they actually doing? Well, what they're actually doing is they are putting affordable housing in all the districts that Zoran Mamdani didn't win. So basically, all the people who didn't want Mamdani ism are now going to have it forcibly imposed on them by Mamdani. He's going to start building gigantic affordable housing tracks with taxpayer money. To import a bunch of people who will vote for Zoran Mamdani in the places he didn't win in Queens and Manhattan and Staten Island. Now, that's not going to lower the prices. It has never lowered the prices. According to Matt Miller over at the Free Press, there are about 50,000 rent stabilized apartments that are permanently vacant and off the market across New York City right now. About 50% of all rental housing in New York City is subject to some form of rent regulation. According to the New York City Rent Guidelines Board, already about 11%. About 11% of rent stabilized buildings built before 1974 operate at costs that exceed gross rental income. And it's before mortgage. So they just have basically decided it costs more money to actually upkeep the apartments and keep people in them than to leave them empty. New York City remains the most expensive place on earth for construction. So it turns out that simply backfilling failures of government with more failures of government is not a great idea. There are a bunch of stupid New York City laws that make it nearly impossible to build there, by the way. Including, for example, something called the Scaffold Law that makes contractors and property owners 100% liable for gravity-related injuries. So if your worker gets drunk and then falls off a scaffold, you still owe the money. Insurers have no defense in court. So it turns out it makes it very hard to build. Government involvement makes things more expensive. It makes them worse. That is the great battle that is happening economically. It's kind of ridiculous that some of the left-wing economics has bled. It's kind of ridiculous that some of the right-wing economics has bled over to the horseshoe right. But it remains true that the backbone of America's success is free market economics, gigantically available pools of capital. It's how you get cool stuff. And this is just one reason, among many, why the Republicans must hold the Senate. Very important for the Republicans to hold the Senate. Now, here is the thing. There is some good data for the Republicans out there. Now, it's not in President Trump's job performance. President Trump's job performance remains unpopular. by party. According to a brand new Fox poll, President Trump's job approval overall is only at 36%. Not surprisingly, he has a 2% approval rating with Democrats. But he only has a 76% approval rating with Republicans. And he has a 78% disapproval rating with independents. So obviously, that's harming Republicans. And when it comes to key issues, the key issues, according to that Fox poll, that voters say they care about, the number one issue is corruption in government, which is a problem. Again, that's going to be one that does bite Republicans on the ass, given the amount of fairly overt corruption surrounding the administration. The other big issues are inflation and high prices and gas prices. And not surprisingly. With that said, with that said, there is some data suggesting that the so-called enthusiasm gap that existed between Democrats and Republicans is starting to disappear, that that's starting to go away, actually. So Echelon Insights did a poll. And what it shows is that GOP, most of the Republicans in the Republican Party, the most of the Republicans in the Republican Party, is starting to disappear. And that's starting to go away, actually. Again, one of these people sounds sane. And one of these people sounds insane, which is why Michelle Tafoya is now cutting ads, getting Democrats to say, hey, I'm not voting for Flanagan. She's too crazy for me.
Speaker 6I voted Democrat my whole life.
Speaker 1I voted Democrat.
Speaker 6I'm a Democrat. I vote Democrat. But I can't vote for Peggy Flanagan. Peggy Flanagan and Tim Walz let hundreds of millions get stolen by fraudsters.
Speaker 9Money meant for people who really needed it. Failure has to have consequences. We need a change. We need new leaders. I'm voting for Michelle Tafoya. Michelle Tafoya will be an independent leader who will work for all of us. I'm Michelle Tafoya, and I approve this message.
Speaker 1Again, the reason why Republicans are still in shooting distance in the Senate, despite the president's low approval ratings, is because Democrats keep running nut jobs. They keep running nut jobs, which brings us back to Abdul El-Sayed. We'll get to more on this in just one second. First, I believe pretty strongly in knowing your own limitations. There are some things I'm good at, and there are some things I am just not that good at. Choosing window treatments, not super high on the list of things that I am good at. I can tell you when a room is too bright. I can tell you when people outside are looking directly into my house. But beyond that, I'm going to need somebody who knows more than I do to help me make this happen. So when it comes to decorating the house, again, this is not my bag. My wife is better at this, but even she wants expert advice. This is why I like the way blinds.com works. If you know exactly what you want, you can do the whole thing yourself. If you don't, they'll connect you virtually with one of their award-winning design experts for free. They'll help you figure out what works for your room, your needs, and your budget without somebody showing up at your house trying to sell you something. Visit blinds.com right now for an exclusive $50 off when you spend $500 or more with code Shapiro. That's blinds.com with code Shapiro. So El-Sayed, again, every day brings out more news about his deep and abiding associations with the Muslim Brotherhood. According to the Washington Free Beacon, a 2021 article on a since-deleted sub-stack account, the left-wing Michigan Senate candidate Abdulrahman El-Sayed defended a man he described as his friend after he was jailed for funding the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood. The man, Mohammed Sultan, is the son of a senior Muslim Brotherhood official who called to kill those Zionists and argued also for obliterating America. The October 2021 article headlined the hypocrisy of police rejecting vaccine requirements, warned of the bluntest form of government power wielded by police in the United States, asking readers to, quote, imagine living longer under a monarch whose caprice could have you arbitrarily taxed or jailed or hanged. Sultan was born in Egypt to Salah Sultan, a former professor of Islamic law at Cairo University and a senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood. The elder Sultan was one of 50 Muslim Brotherhood leaders charged with spearheading the 2013 protest aimed at reinstating Egypt's deposed Muslim Brotherhood president, Mohammed Morsi. Again, literally all of Abdulrahman El-Sayed's friends are Muslim Brotherhood. All of them. I mean, again, he was heavily associated with Muslim Student Association when he was a student. The Muslim Student Association was a front group originally by people associated with Hamas. Here was old Abdul El-Sayed preaching to students in 2009 as part of an MSA promo.
Speaker 10The religion came not to enslave us, not to oppress us, as a mercy, as an opportunity to be dignified, to be raised, to be called a believer.
Speaker 1Back in his heavier days, that's Abdul Fatman El-Sayed. And, you know, his sister, she's a joy. Here she was, Iman Abdul Hadi, that's his sister, reading her October 7th fiction novel about the final intifada in which the Jews are wiped off the planet.
Speaker 11They say, what were you plotting? They say, resistance. Like? You know, guerrilla ops, mostly. targeting the border to Gaza, it took a year of intense planning and coordinating with resistance fighters across Palestine, but eventually the border between Gaza and the rest of Palestine fell. The IDF couldn't hold out between the mass defections, the international condemnations, the weapons and supplies drying up. I say, tell me about the day the border fell. And Hassan pauses for a long time. It was the most beautiful day of my life, bombing the borders, blowing up military outposts and all that. But most people were just organizers. Those of us that were armed started shooting at them. Some people made Molotov cocktails.
Speaker 1This is who Abdurrahman El-Sayed is surrounded by, literally full time. Well, it is not a gigantic surprise that El-Sayed has been alienating the people who are not members of the Dearborn community. He's got 100% approval in Dearborn and everywhere else, everybody's like, I don't know about this man. Haley Stevens, who nearly beat him in the primary despite- A bunch of push polls, just discouraging people from voting. And again, Haley Stevens is the reason. Republicans, independents, Democrats who don't like Abdurrahman El-Sayed in Michigan, he's not only not inevitable, he should lose. Don't believe the polling data that is putting him ahead. It's not true. Remember, he was supposed to be ahead by double digits against Haley Stevens in that primary, and he beat her by a handful of votes. According to Politico, Haley Stevens is saying all of this out loud. Quote, there's changing dynamics. There's a new coalition that Abdul has built. Some people are not going to vote. There's a new coalition that are a diehard part of it. Some people are not. We're seeing some constituent community pain coming out. She was referencing resistance to El-Sayed among some black and Jewish voters who backed her in the primary. She said, Mike Rogers is working the black community harder and more successfully than we have ever seen a Republican do, or at least that I can remember, ever. Well, listen, at least Abdul El-Sayed has the love and support of Tucker Carlson. Well, El-Sayed, who's having problems with black voters, he decided the best way to pander to black voters, and this is, this, by the way, is a constant thing for Democrats. You start to lose the black vote, and I guess you do stereotypically black things in the most insulting possible way to try to win them back. So Abdul Rahman El-Sayed, who makes a big deal out of the idea that he's now, he's no longer Abdul Fatman El-Sayed. He's now supposedly in shape. So he went to a gas station in the middle of the night to buy some red hot cheese pops and drink Gatorade, which I'm just telling you is not part of his normal diet. Here he was pandering, pandering. Oh, the pandering, the thirst quenching pandering here.
Speaker 9Hey, can we ask you some serious stuff too? Yeah. Okay. Dude, it's like hot ones right now.
Speaker 12It's like, yeah, this is like hot ones. But it's not actually that hot, bro. It's not that hot. I don't do heat. Clearly. I know. I'm sorry, man. I didn't mean to do this to you. No, no. All right, you want some Gatorade? You got some white? You want some Gatorade? I have a bunch in the car. He needs it, man. He needs it. Here. No, no, no, no, no. Get this man a Gatorade Zero here.
Speaker 9All right. Thank you. It's an emergency.
Speaker 1All right. There's nothing he likes better than a late night, red hots and Gatorade. Sure. Sure, my dude. Sure. Now, here's the thing. Pandering is for losers. I have some evidence. Recall that time that Hillary Clinton was running for president and she told Charlamagne the God, among others, that she carried hot sauce around in her purse, which no one believes. No one. Hillary Clinton carries mayonnaise around in her purse. Here's Hillary Clinton back in the day.
Speaker 13What's something that you always carry with you? Hot sauce. Really? Yeah. Yeah. Really? Are you getting information right now?
Speaker 8Hot sauce. Hot sauce in my bag swag? Hot sauce. Really? Yes. Now listen, I want you to know people are going to see this and say, okay, she's pandering to black people. Okay. Is it working? Is it working?
Speaker 1Got you so transparent. Is it working? Like she, you know, points for honesty for. For the occasional honesty from Hillary Clinton. And of course, you'll remember Joe Biden telling you, I don't know why everyone goes to Charlamagne to pander. I don't know if like Charlamagne must be getting tired of this. I like Charlamagne. He's a nice guy, but like at a certain point, you must get tired of being just the target of all pandering in the universe. Here is Joe Biden doing this routine. I tell it if you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump and you ain't black. Okay. Okay. And it's not just, you know, the, the old. You'll recall AOC whipping out her black scent in Tennessee. I love it when Democrats do this, when they start just randomly speaking in dialect. I've never felt the need to do this. It's kind of, it's kind of strange. It's not unique to Democrats, by the way. Sometimes you'll see Republican politicians who get a real down home Southern accent for no reason. Real weird. You start dropping their G's, but here is the AOC doing that routine.
Speaker 13We cannot afford to leave Tennessee behind. We cannot afford to leave Kentucky behind Alabama behind Mississippi behind Georgia behind South Carolina behind.
Speaker 1The spirit is moving her or, or you start pandering because you are so desperate. So Democrats have been trying to circle the wagons around Abdul El-Sayed. They're trotting out AOC for this. She says it's just ugliness. It's so, it's so divisive. It's so divisive. I don't know. I feel like the candidate. Who supports the Muslim Brotherhood might be more divisive. The one who's kind of warm toward Hamas might be more divisive. I don't know.
Speaker 14Maybe. There's a lot of ugliness on the airwaves right now. And it's all meant around just divisiveness, racism, anger, all of this stuff. And the reason they're doing that is because they want people to close their ears and shut their. Before they even hear what Abdul has to say.
Speaker 1Oh, that's that. No, no. Here's the thing. We're all hearing what he has to say. And it's horrible. Meanwhile, the new Republic desperately trotting out a human named Simon Lazarus, who I've never heard of to write an entire piece about how Jews ought to support. Abdul is not a shock. It turns out he's the associate director of Jimmy Carter's White House domestic policy staff. Jimmy Carter, a man who legitimately went out and basically. Campaign for Yasser Arafat. He's the one who's going to tell you Jewish voters in Michigan that Abdul Syed is for you. And folks, I am not convinced by any stretch of the imagination that Democrats are running nearly as strong as the media wants to make it seem. The media wants to make it seem right now like Ken Paxton is way behind Tallarico in Texas. That is not what the evidence is. There was a poll yesterday that showed Tallarico down one to Paxton in Texas. That is at best a margin of error. That is a margin of error poll. Hey, Michigan right now. Michigan is a margin of error state. Iowa is a margin of error state. Maine is a margin of error state. And by the way, should be moving in the direction of Susan Collins. Even Troy Jackson's abysmal performance in the final debate last night. Troy Jackson. Wow. He dropped some. He dropped some some hot material yesterday in his final debate with Susan Collins, including telling people to shut up and yelling and being pretty crazy.
Speaker 8Two issues. I'm sorry.
Speaker 11Somebody's interrupting. We'll have our security deal with that.
Speaker 12So this is obviously one of Troy's supporters.
Speaker 15Oh, shut up.
Speaker 1I didn't. I didn't. I don't even know that kid. And again, Democrats are radical across the board on pretty much every issue. And that includes immigration. I understand that in that poll for Fox News, immigration is not among the top issues. Immigration. Immigration is only an issue when it's an issue, meaning when Democrats are in charge, it becomes an issue. But that's why. Please, folks, check your memory banks to when the border was just wide open. The Daily Wire's Jenny Tehr has an amazing report talking about an illegal immigrant who organized a protest at an ICE detention facility in New Jersey and then landed in federal custody. Well, he promoted a sob story alleging he was kidnapped while shopping. His name was Martin Soto, and he became the face of the anti-ICE crusade. He was arrested in a hunger strike in ICE's Delaney Hall detention center in Newark, New Jersey. Soto and his wife, Gabriela, rallied for his eventual release from ICE custody, and she claimed the agency abducted him. And Democrats went out and rallied for him. Representative Robert Menendez was saying nobody had a criminal record. This is with the governor of New Jersey, Mikey Sherrill, back in May.
Speaker 9The reality is that no one in there has a criminal record. No one in there should be held in a privately run detention center. These are people who are mothers, fathers, 18-year-olds, as the senator said. And it. It runs counter to what this administration has been selling to the American people since day one of this administration, that they're going after the worst.
Speaker 1And then when Soto got out of Delaney, Representative Robert Menendez showed up to hug him.
Speaker 10I'm so happy to be here. Oh, no, please.
Speaker 1Well, it turns out, according to the Daily Wire, the records paint a different picture. The documents obtained through a public records request from the Kearney Police Department. They say that Martin Soto was arrested that day by officers in Kearney for domestic abuse, he, quote, purposely caused bodily injury to the victim, specifically by using his hands both open and closed to strike her, so he punched her in her face, causing minor scratches and cuts to her face and neck. Then he placed, allegedly, a hand over her mouth so she could not scream for help. And Democrats, you're doing a stellar job. Really, really solid stuff from the Democrats. Folks, remember, these are the people you're going to put back in power. If you choose to vote Democrat, or if you choose to stay home, more likely, you're helping put them back in power. power. Now, the Democratic Socialists of America won primaries across the country. Next, they're coming. for Congress, and they are coming for you. They'll even send up to 10 samples to your door for free, so you can actually see what everything looks like before you make a decision. If measuring and installing blinds also falls outside your particular area of expertise, vetted professionals can handle that as well. Measure incorrectly? Nope. Remake it. With all that said, you know what would be very helpful? You know what would be very helpful? You know what would be very you know, I feel like people deserve a little bit of grace when it's their first time at the microphone, and maybe she gets better. You know, we tried that with Scaramucci back in the day, Anthony Scaramucci, who lasted about 11 days, about a hot second. Karine Jean-Pierre, people were comparing Katie Zachariah to Karine Jean-Pierre. That's not fair. Karine Jean-Pierre was the worst press secretary in White House history for legitimately a couple of years there, but it didn't go great. Here was just a sampling of how it went on Tuesday.
Speaker 15Good morning. Good morning. I am so honored to work for President Trump and the American people as the new White House press secretary. I want to thank President Trump for his trust that he has placed in me. I have wanted to work for him for a very long time. I'm looking forward to working with each of you as well. Especially as we are in the middle of the midterm blitz with energy and excitement never seen before in the history of midterms, thanks to President Trump.
Speaker 1Okay, now it wasn't a great performance, but again, it wasn't like the worst catastrophic, but it wasn't like she did for 13 minutes. It wasn't, but then she was asked about the fact that she claimed she's a lawyer. She's never passed the bar. Now, I'm just going to point out here that Abdul El-Sayed is not a lawyer. He's not a lawyer. He's not a lawyer. He's not a doctor. He's not, in fact, a medical doctor. And they just keep calling him doctor over and over and over. And again, it is not rare for people to sort of exaggerate. She went to law school. She didn't pass the bar. Okay, so she says she's a lawyer, but not an attorney. It got awkward with Sean Hannity last night. It wasn't a great performance by her and her follow up with Sean.
Speaker 4Did you ever take the bar exam a second time? I did not, Sean. No. Okay. So you said you consulted with many people. You said you consulted with many people. And they advised you that it was okay to call yourself a lawyer, but not an attorney,
Speaker 15correct? Correct. Okay.
Speaker 4There's a report out tonight that showed 15 social media posts where you identify yourself as an attorney.
Speaker 15I think they were retweets. And I corrected the record and said that there's not endorsing the title. They were retweets of a title that had been given.
Speaker 4You know, look, that is a very tough room. And I've known a lot of people who have been press secretaries over the years. And following on the heels of Caroline Leavitt is very tough. And speaking for Donald Trump makes everything tougher. Why not just say I went to Pepperdine Law School and then took a different career path? And I took the bar once and didn't pass it. Why get into this long, drawn out definition between the difference between a lawyer and an attorney? Because I don't think most people see much of a distinction. Why didn't you just say, I never practiced law?
Speaker 1Okay. Well, again, just awkward. Now, the truth is she's sort of kind of quasi practice law in a way for a Chinese firm, which again, is not great. Like her background is that she apparently was a lawyer for the Zhonglun firm, which established its Communist Party of China, Beijing Committee, General Party Branch Committee. If you're a high level lawyer in Beijing, according to Jim Garrity over at National Review, you're either a member of the Communist Party of China or required to swear allegiance to it. She was a full-time associate on the Internet. She was a full-time international practice team of the Zhonglun law firm, according to her LinkedIn page. But again, none of this is great. Does the White House need the distraction right now? Again, maybe it all calms down. Maybe it all goes away. But the White House doesn't need distractions. And frankly, I don't think the American voter needs distractions at all. So, you know, I hope that she does better. I hope that her performance improves and we will leave it at that. And it's kind of harsh to go after a lady after she's done one presser and then a couple of not great meetings. Okay. Meanwhile, in the world of the bizarre, the meltdown of Tucker Carlson continues to pace. Yesterday, apparently on his show or two days ago on his show, he said some again, he's saying weird stuff a lot these days. I'm not going to try and get inside his head because it feels like it's a pretty wild place in there. A lot of nicotine floating around. A lot of crazy ideas about Jews. It seems like it seems like maybe some cobwebs. Maybe not all the synapses are firing, but something I don't even know how to care. I'm just going to play this
Speaker 16because, um, what? As noted, part of it is the nature of war results in the deaths of innocents. And if you look at that enough on a screen, it's like if you look at pornography enough or bestiality videos all day after a while, like it's kind of an attractive horse. I get it. I'm not into it personally. It's not crazy. Like we are. Shaped by the world around us, of course. So if you're like living in a country that's blowing up school girls, the first time you hear about it, it shocks you. The fifth time you hear about it, you're like, yeah, war is hard. Mistakes are made in war. As Trump said, you know, civilians die in war.
Speaker 1It's very unfortunate. Again, he's trying to compare Americans who look at the costs of war to maybe him looking at sexy horses. Maybe he's just obsessed with women in the gym are dressing like horse. I've been saying for a long time, Tucker's a horse's ass. I did not realize he was into horse's ass. Apparently some men of Tucker's age want to sleep with their secretaries, but Tucker just wants to sleep with his secretariat. I knew that he loved Russian dictators. I did not realize until now that he was such a fan of Catherine the Great as well. Maybe those weren't claw marks on his back. They were in the shape of horseshoes. Well, it turns out, sadly, again, awkward clips on the internet, folks. The internet never dies. The internet is forever. It turns out that it's not just about the horses. He's also into animals of the dromedary type. He's into the humps, the humps, the lovely camel lumps.
Speaker 17I've been marinating in the Saudi kingdom long enough that I like the camels with the fuller lips. I like the ones with the symmetrical humps. I like the ones with the powerful chest and the live back legs. I have a strong camel preference.
Speaker 10Look at you, Mr. Carlson. Look at you.
Speaker 1Namus. Okay, then. I mean, far be it for me to now be in defense of Andrew Tate, but at least Andrew Tate has the good sense to try to deny his purported penchant for both horses and eels. What is it with these guys and horses? Seriously? Like, I'm such a man that I love Mustangs. Like, what are you doing? So Andrew Tate is now responding to reports that he had pornography on his phone involving both horses and eels. Honestly, his response is a little bit fishy. He tweeted, I wish I was into eels and horses instead of lying little hoes because then I probably wouldn't be in jail. Hmm. Hmm. Well, meanwhile, in yet another case, if it's always the ones you most suspect, Matt Gaetz is being accused of sex trafficking young women. Now, listen, maybe he's not guilty. Maybe a lot of accusations of this sort, apparently in that House Ethics Committee report, according to the Miami Herald, two women have now filed a federal civil lawsuit accusing former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz and two others of participating in an alleged sex trafficking scheme involving young women, drugs, and traveling across state lines. The allegations are the latest chapter in Gaetz's high-profile sex scandal that ultimately derailed his nomination by President Trump as U.S. Attorney General and also led him to resign from Congress in 2024. That came in the middle of a bipartisan House Ethics Committee investigation into alleged misconduct. The 33-page complaint filed Monday in the Middle District of Florida details how the former congressman used two of his friends. Now convicted ex-Seminole County tax collector Joel Greenberg and former Florida House GOP member Christopher Doerwerth to coordinate the recruitment of young women with whom they supply drugs in order to facilitate sexual encounters, according to the lawsuit. The incidents occurred from 2017 to 2019. Jane Doe 1 was 20. Jane Doe 2 was 22. When they were introduced to Gaetz in the summer of 2017, both of the women said they had no stable income when they were recruited by Greenberg, who is now serving an 11-year federal prison sentence after pleading guilty in 2021 to sex trafficking of a minor. Jane Doe alleges she received more than $6,000. Jane Doe 2 received more than $4,000 from Gaetz with payment descriptions such as being my friend and car deductible and love you. Gaetz said in a statement, I look forward to taking the plaintiff's depositions because much of the conduct alleged against me is false. Much, huh? Much doing some legal work there. Much. Again, we'll find out whether it is true or whether it is false. Suffice it to say that there's a lot of smoke, a lot, a lot of smoke happening right there. But again, I guess Matt Gaetz is, you know, like one of the best situated of all of his friends, since it seems like all of his friends are getting caught up in bizarre statements about the animal kingdom. And they've been watching too much Dr. Doolittle or something. Okay. Well, meanwhile, in significantly darker news, we now have the identity of a neo-Nazi teen who is apparently trans and accused of plotting a shooting at a Hindu temple. A transgender 19 year old, according to the New York Post, alleged neo-Nazi accused of plotting a racist mass shooting at a Hindu temple outside Chicago will get his hormone injections in jail while he awaits trial. Oh, well, that's the important thing. The important thing is you plan to murder a bunch of people of Indian descent at a Hindu temple. You got to have, you got to have your estrogen, obviously. Duh. I mean, come on. A Cook County judge ordered Alexandros Paparakis, held without bail on Wednesday, but also added a health care order noting the accused would be a terrorist taking hormone injections for gender transition, among other drugs. This person was arrested Sunday after cops learned of an alleged plot to shoot up the largest Hindu temple in Aurora, which is a suburb of Chicago. They said he openly identified as a white supremacist and could not wait to kill Indian people. Well, that's, um, that's just, that's just great. He also left behind a manifesto describing Jews and black people as subhumans, outlining a plot to kill as many of them as possible and described himself in the manifesto as a sociopathic white supremacist neo-Nazi filled with hatred, fantasizing about mass murder nearly every day. Something has gone deeply wrong in young brains, and we are seeing this more and more commonly. We also have some news with regard to Oregon. So there was an Oregon shooting yesterday at an Oregon elementary school. The shooter, apparently, according to Fox News, was a 16-year-old Ben resident armed with a shotgun, who was killed by an armed bystander with a concealed carry permit. There were five, eight, and 11-year-olds who were murdered. A seven-year-old child was heavily wounded, so was a 54-year-old teacher. The shooter forced his way into the school by firing at locked doors, and a community member saw the shooter enter, pursued him into the building, and engaged him. According to Newsweek, the Oregon school district had banned guns from its premises. The school district passed a ban after Oregon's Senate Bill 554 was passed by lawmakers in 2021, and gave every public school district the option to ban guns from their premises. Holders of a concealed handgun license who violated school gun bans faced a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and a $6,200 fine. The shooter did not have a gun permit, apparently, according to WKYC. Preliminary reporting says the shotgun used was purchased by the shooter's mother. So new details are going to emerge once again. It turns out that horrible people can get access to guns, and it requires somebody else with a gun to stop those horrible people. And unless you have a magic wand to make all the guns disappear, and also disappear that Second Amendment, the only solution to a bad person with a gun is a person who is similarly armed who is not an evil human being. And thanks to the hero gunman that was a student dad who saw this happening and ran in and saved more people. But a horrifying tragedy, obviously, over in Oregon. We'll keep our eyes on it. All right, folks, the show continues right now. Only if you're a Daily Wire member, we're going to get into the latest in the Gaza Strip, because again, the media doing their best to not cover the actual news.
