Speaker 3Just about two years ago, seven men drugged and gang raped a 20-year-old woman. They lured her in to a fraternity house. They drugged her with ketamine. They then posted to a group chat that she was incapacitated. And seven men. And seven men took turns gang raping her for seven hours. Their fraternity knew. This was reported to Cornell University. And after looking into this matter, they expelled two of them and made the rest write essays as their form of punishment.
Speaker 1Okay, so every single thing she just said here was a lie. The woman who is now alleging in a civil suit, that she was gang raped at Cornell, does not allege what AOC is saying here, that she was lured in, that she was given ketamine against her will. Like, none of this happened. But that's the point. Facts don't matter. Only the narrative matters, obviously. And the narrative is that women must never, ever, ever be treated as responsible adults. It's not possible. So, I can't say it enough. The seven Cornell men who decided to join in on a gangbang of a 20-year-old woman at a frat house, are the ones who are the most responsible. They are disgusting. Like, gross, sinful, immoral. They participated in evil. But there is literally zero evidence that they raped the Jane Doe in question here. We know that because we have her original criminal report to the police. But none of that matters because the narrative has now outpaced the facts. What's worse, we're seeing mob justice enforced by the legal authorities at this point. Now, we've seen this before. Derek Chauvin, the cop at the center of the George Floyd death, who was railroaded and is now going to spend enormous chunks of his life in prison. We saw this with the Ducla Cross case, where the men in that case acted badly, but not criminally, and ended up basically having their lives destroyed. Here's the rule. If you're a member of a group deemed a victimized minority group by the left, even if, by the way, you're a member of a statistical majority, like, say, women, who are a statistical majority in the United States, that means that you are a victim. Even if you can't show any evidence that you are a victim. Even if you said yourself to the cops and in texts that you weren't a victim. There's also no statute of limitations. So an event occurs, and you say at the time that you consented to it, we're supposed to take you at your word. And hey, consent is the only thing that matters, so nothing bad happened. But then if you come around two years later and you totally flip your story, we still have to take you at your word. Now, again, the men in the Cornell 7 case violated basic morality, and the woman and law enforcement officers who are now trying to enforce her ever-changing version of the story are violating not only basic morality, but basic standards, but basic standards of Anglo-American law. This is insane. So Kathy Hochul, who is the governor of New York, has decided to step into this case based on public pressure. According to the New York Times, Hochul said, quote, new information has raised serious questions about how this case was handled, and I've lost faith in the Tompkins County DA's ability to fairly oversee it. She said the young woman at the center of this case deserves to know that every fact will be examined and justice pursued. So what is at the center of this apparent new revelation? Well, she said, in her statement to the police originally, that she said with, quote, 100% confidence, I was raped. The problem is that she apparently doesn't know the definition of the word rape because in the same exact report, she described a series of consensual events. Lawyers for at least three of the seven men named in Jane Doe's lawsuit have issued statements denying criminal wrongdoing. In hours of interviews during the university investigation in the winter of 2024, the seven men denied wrongdoing. Four said they had consensual sexual interactions with Jane Doe, and three denied participating in the case. So the New York Times did a long, deep dive here, and it demonstrates how Jane Doe's story shifted. And now, again, remember, the governor of New York is stepping into a dead criminal case based on nothing except for public pressure. Literally no new information that is crucial has emerged, none. All that happened is that the woman in question filed a civil lawsuit in which she totally flipped her story. And now we're supposed to believe that the cops are responsible for all of the problems. That Cornell University should have done something based on complete lack of evidence. Listen to this story. It's from the New York Times. There was a crucial three-week period between the fraternity party and Jane Doe's decision to take her story to the campus police, accusing multiple fraternity brothers of sexual assault and alleging that she was coerced into taking ketamine. What had not been known publicly until now were the detailed filings collected during the private Title IX proceedings. Hundreds of pages of emails, text messages, photographs, and interviews with Jane Doe, her friends, and those she accused. So, the day after this event occurred, and again, this happened October 19th, the morning of October 20th, 2024. And according to her original criminal report to the police, she was intoxicated. She went voluntarily to the frat house to meet a dude. She voluntarily engaged in sex with him. She voluntarily engaged in sex with others. When she asked them not to do things, they stopped. Okay, that is all in her original police report. Okay, so the next day, apparently one of the defendants wrote, I just wanted to apologize for how things went down the other night. He and another defendant both felt terrible for being too under the influence of drugs and alcohol to, quote, shut it down and kick people out before it got out of hand. But she replied and reassured him, quote, at the end of the day, none of the sexual stuff was illegal. And honestly, I really liked being with you and the other defendant. Okay, but then what happened? Here's what happened. Her reputation started to follow her around campus. Basically, people found out that she had engaged in this risky, and disgusting sexual behavior. And so she got embarrassed. This is why there was a three-week gap between the event and when she went to the cops. So she texted the defendant, quote, Bro, everyone knows I'm incredibly stressed out. Some random bleep told some of my friends. I don't even know who that is. How does she know me? Again, so she was upset that this episode was, quote, ruining my life temporarily and that her reputation had been destroyed. She said all she could do was sleep and cry all day. According to the documents, the defendant assured her it would all blow over soon, noting, quote, how fast nonsense spreads at this school and said she did not have anything to be ashamed of. And she wrote back, you're right, it'll get better.
Speaker 4So again, she was ashamed because the story
Speaker 1got around campus that she had engaged in, again, an act of tremendous promiscuity. This doesn't mean the men are free of the moral consequences of their actions, but this is the reason why she was upset, not because she was raped, but because she was upset that the reputation was getting around town. Quote, I will say this is ruining my life temporarily. My reputation is destroyed and I'm utterly ashamed. She also texted, again, one of the defendants. She texted, quote, you're right, it'll get better. And you think everyone's just jealous of us, but also like everyone needs to grow up because sexuality and sex and blank is changing and stuff like this is going to become more common. I'm also really open-minded though. I love you, King. Also tell anyone who gives you bleep that I'll actually beat them up that don't want the smoke, I promise. So she's literally texting one of the people she had sex with. with and is now two years later accusing of rape and saying she's going to defend him from charges and people need to be more open about sex and all the rest. So Jane Doe's sorority big sister received a text that week saying, quote, Have you heard the rumor about your little? Later that week, Jane Doe's roommate said she was kind of recounting it as the sort of crazy thing she had done. As the days went on, the roommate continued. I think she kind of came to realize that it was something bad and that she didn't really enjoy her time there. OK, well, that's not rape. OK, if you do something that is wrong and then later you're ashamed of the thing, you can't retroactively say that it happened against your consent. Kai Fai was preparing for a Halloween party and Jane Doe was eager to attend. Text messages included in the investigation show the defendant assuring Jane Doe that he and other frat members wanted her to be there. Kai Fai is your house and you are welcome here, he wrote, relaying the views of the fraternity's president, who is not among those accused of sexual assault. And she wrote back, Thank you. I really appreciate that heart. I'll bring my cigs tomorrow. But then she was disinvited from the party for her own good, according to the frat president. She then sent a biting text to the defendant. I knew this was going to happen. The woman will always get the short end of the stick. Y'all aren't my friends. Y'all are covering your asses. And then she switched over. Let's be clear, 90 percent of what happened that night was not consensual. I was given more key than I can remember, she said, using a shorthand for ketamine. And I know I told you I felt uncomfortable and I didn't know anyone in the room. Four days later, on November 7th, she went to an emergency room in Ithaca and requested a rape kit. So in her initial statement to the school, she said, I'd become extremely uncomfortable with how this night was turning out. So my thought was, if I do ketamine again, maybe I will pass out. My thought was that if I passed out and these men had sex with me, they could be charged with rape, which is an insane statement. That's an insane statement. So she was uncomfortable. She didn't give any indicators of no. And her plan was that she would pass out. So then later, she could retroactively charge them with rape. I'm sorry, none of this amounts to sexual assault. It doesn't. There's no evidence of sexual assault in these accounts. There's evidence that a woman did something that was deeply risky and the men took advantage of the fact that she was doing something deeply risky. There is no evidence of legal sexual assault here. So the men have also been interviewed and the New York Times has the police reports on that and the reports from Cornell, quote, in hours of interviews and a statement collected during Cornell's administrative investigation over the winter of 2024, all the men denied any wrongdoing. Four acknowledged having sexual contact with the woman, but said their interactions had been consensual. The others denied participating in sexual encounters. One said he was a victim of sexual misconduct because the woman had given him oral sex when he was too incapacitated to consent. Again, this is the problem. When you get into this, this kind of matrix where you say the woman was intoxicated, therefore she was raped. And all the men also had ketamine and were intoxicated. You could obviously make the legal argument that they too were raped because if you're incapable of giving consent and engaged in sexual activity, you're not going to be able to get rid of that. You're not going to get rid of that. And if we are going to define lack of consent as intoxication, we've got a problem here. When asked about his involvement with Jane Doe, one defendant said she initiated their sexual contact and did not ask for his consent. A statement flatly at odds with her account of the night. The defendant left around 2 a.m., he said, after he said he became uncomfortable and went with three friends to McDonald's. He said he did not tell them about what had transpired in part because he was, quote, admittedly a bit embarrassed about what happened, according to the interview records. Another of the men, told interviewers, he and his friend entered the room after reading the Snapchat message, which he said had left him befuddled. He said Jane Doe was not slurring her words when they arrived and she did not appear drunk. He said he asked her if she was all right just because the nature of the text. And there was one female in the room with a couple of dudes. We were just checking out to see if everything was OK. And it was, he said later, adding of misto, quote, and if she wasn't, I'd like to think I would have helped out and did something about it. Another defendant said he assumed the Snapchat messages were crude humor. She was conversational with people and that alleviated whatever concerns I had from the text before. Now, again, there is no evidence that AOC's accusations here were even made by the woman in question. There is no evidence of rape. No responsible prosecutor would have brought a case here. No responsible prosecutor, based on the evidence available, including these text messages, would have brought a case. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. To the left, she must have been raped. Abdulrahman El-Sayed, the Senate candidate in Michigan for Democrats, had, quote, a young woman bravely reported she was sexually assaulted in twenty twenty four seven men at their fraternity. But instead of protecting her, Cornell University protected her abusers, letting them off with a slap on the wrist. It's outrageous and a failure of both the institution and a societal norm that consistently makes light of sexual assault. The law isn't helping. New York's voluntary intoxication loophole makes it nearly impossible for survivors to seek justice if they drank or use substances prior to an assault. Because of this loophole, Jane Doe's assailants may never be held accountable under the law. By the way, it is not a voluntary intoxication loophole. New York's law just says that if you get drunk and you voluntarily have sex with someone, then they cannot be charged with rape just because you were drunk. The law says that if they intoxicated you against your will, that is a different story. But if we are now going to charge every person with rape. Who had sex with a drunk person while they themselves were drunk or while the drunk person said that they wanted it and then later said they didn't want it. I mean, I'm sorry to tell you how life actually works, but you're going to have to shut down every single bar in the country if that is the way you want the law to work. Because if the idea is that you are voluntary, that you're all you have a drink of two drinks and now you're off limits for sex no matter what, because if you consent, we'll say it was nonconsensual. And if you don't consent, obviously it's rape. Then you're just going to have to shut down every bar everywhere in America. You're going to have to go back to prohibition. That is the only way to prevent quote unquote rape. If this is how you define rape. Abdul Rahman El-Sayed says, I want my daughters to grow up in a world that is safe. Women deserve to feel safe on campus. That means perpetrators must be held accountable for the full extent of the law. And we need federal action to ensure that those who commit sexual assault and the institutions that protect them face consequences. Now, again, no one is harsher with regard to rape than I. I believe that rapists should be castrated or executed, not given five years in prison. And maybe El-Sayed would feel better if we just said that these guys were members of Hamas. If we said they're members of Hamas, then presumably then they'd be off the hook because, you know, free Palestine and all that. But my colleague Matt Walsh is exactly right. He says, quote, Which is why when there's a disgusting drug and alcohol-fueled orgy where everyone involved is inebriated, the woman is somehow automatically the victim and the men are somehow automatically responsible. On normal logic, that makes no sense. If alcohol removes consent, the drunk men have just as valid a claim to being raped as the drunk woman. But feminists aren't using normal logic. They're using feminist logic, which again, starts with the presupposition that women by definition, cannot truly be at fault for anything ever. That is simply a brute fact of the universe in their view. They don't have to defend it, and don't, and can't. And he's totally right about all of this. We'll get to more on that in just a second. Every day when you get up, you need to be ready to take on the day because, hey, it's a wild world out there. Well, if you don't have the proper sleep quality, it just ain't going to happen. If you want to know what has driven so many men into the arms of disgusting human beings like Andrew Tate is this sort of stuff. It is the idea that women are out to get you that even if a woman consents, she can later decide that she had not consented with her magic time machine and that the governor of New York will get involved personally. And then, try to revise how the law ought to work. Now, these guys are walking around Cornell's campus. At least one student is still on campus. Here is one of the students confronting one of the alleged defendants. They're not defendants yet because they're not being criminally prosecuted still on Cornell's campus.
Speaker 5Are you not like embarrassed to be here? After all of this time, after the case comes out, your name is here. You're facing the paper. Are you not ashamed? Are you still here? You're with an education while Jane Doe had to.
Speaker 6You realize there's a reason for that, right?
Speaker 5What's the reason for that?
Speaker 6I'm not going to talk about all this right now with you. I don't even know you.
Speaker 5Yeah, and you never will because you're a disgusting person. You're a disgusting person. Everyone in Cornell is ashamed of you. Like, that group chat is disgusting. I had nothing to do with it. Were you in the group chat? So much for 60 people. Yeah, and none of you did. You're in the lawsuit, man. I don't know what the f*** to tell you. I'm just disgusted by you. I just wanted to, like, let you know personally that I'm ashamed to be on the same campus as you, and you're a gross person, so.
Speaker 1Okay, again, this guy is saying that he wasn't even involved in the sexual activity. He was just on the group chat, and now he is being, you know, named. Again, you want to. I totally believe that the men who are involved here should be ashamed of their actions. That does not mean criminal culpability. And the mob is going after anyone they can. So much so that according to the free press, The lawsuit originally was accidentally served to the home of an active duty sergeant in the Marine Corps who has the same name as one of the defendants. And so online vigilantes started going after a dude who was not even involved. Quote, online vigilantes began searching the defendant's name as soon as the lawsuit was filed. And when they found details about sergeant and his family, they started posting the family's details, including their phone numbers on the internet. In one post on X, an individual posted the defendant's address with the caption, quote, this is definitely not a defendant's phone number and address, posting this for public awareness so people know not to reach out. Of course, that is an invitation for people to reach out. The defendant's sister, 26, received a text message with a photo of the Cornell student and a screenshot of a Google Earth image of her brother's house. Obviously, that's a threat. And the threats became more extreme. Quote, do the world a favor and go kill yourself. Get effed in the ass to death, bitch, and kill yourself, read others. A mob justice is not justice, it is trash. And again, this isn't even about believing, quote, unquote, all women. First of all, that statement in and of itself is silly. Believing all women. You should never believe all men. You should never believe all women. You should believe credible information. But this case is about believing one woman. So should we believe what she said back in 2024? Like originally in her text? Or should we believe what she said to the cops, which changed? Or should we believe what she's saying two years later? Or should we believe things that she didn't even say, that politicians are now pretending she said? Or should we believe the governor of New York who is sicking law enforcement authorities on these men two years after the events, in question after the woman has now changed her story multiple times? Again, what the men did was wrong and sinful and gross and evil, but not because it was rape. Because it was wrong. This is the difference, again, between morality and left-wing ideas of ethics. For people who are not on the left, consent is not the only standard of morality. Engaging in a group orgy fueled by alcohol and drugs is wrong. It is a wrong thing to do. But that means that what she also engaged in was wrong, not because she was raped, but because she blemished her soul. But there's something going on here that on a systemic level is even more dangerous than immoral personal behavior. And that is a law enforcement system that decides to go back after and destroy people based on a mob outside the doors shouting and screaming. That is a violation of basic, equal standards of justice under law. And we should all be troubled by that as American citizens. Because that is unworkable. Okay, meanwhile, the other big internationalist national story of the day is gigantic protests, blockades, fires being set in France. So why is that happening? Well, because France is being forced to take austerity measures mandated by basic reality. Basically, they're bankrupt. And that means they have to cut some budgets. And left-wing agitators and Muslim immigrants are taking advantage of the situation to essentially riot and burn things. Why is this relevant to us here in America? Because this is what the future of America looks like if we do not get our fiscal house and our immigration system under control. So according to The Guardian, a fast-growing protest by high school students over long hours, teacher shortages, and decaying facilities has escalated into urban violence, according to the French government. The government says many schools would switch to online classes to protect teachers and pupils. The current prime minister, a man named Sébastien Le Corneau, called a crisis cabinet meeting on Thursday and told ministers to cancel travel plans to deal with the demonstrations which erupted in the Paris region last week, but have snowballed across the country. So the students are apparently very upset with cuts. Okay, now I have a question. When was the last time, students rioted over cuts to the educational budget? Does this feel a little bit stagey to you? Does it feel as though this is being manipulated? Apparently there are 900 plus demonstrations and blockades active across France. 400 high schools, lycees, that's one in 10 in the country, were impacted by disruptions as well as universities in Paris, Marseille, Lille, Nantes, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Lyon, and Bordeaux. More than 3,000 students have been detained. There have been 1,950 arrests. Over 300 police officers and dozens of firefighters, teachers, and students have sustained injuries as well. According to DW.com, Prime Minister Sebastian Locorno called the escalation of the situation irresponsible and said fireworks fires violence near high schools. Nothing justifies endangering students, staff, or police officers. The education minister, a man named Edouard Jeffrey, said that the protests are a classic high school student movement and are being exploited by violent elements. So it's a mostly peaceful protest that has emerged in the last few years. And a lot of people are believing that this thing is being sponsored by the La France Insoumé, that's the France Unbowed Party, and its presidential candidate, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who's like a full-scale communist. Mélenchon has accused the government of implementing a crackdown with obvious racist undertones. So basically a gigantic student revolt that is also being fueled by radical Islam in France. It turns out an enormous number of the people who are burning things are radical Muslims in France. So combined, the necessity of austerity measures with a left-wing political orientation that says that any cut is some form of deep injustice combined with migrants who come to France and hate the culture there, and this is what you end up with in France. We'll get to more on that in a moment. Through the ministry of Preborn, more than 50,000 babies have been saved this year alone, which of course is an extraordinary number. And now Preborn wants to help rescue 50,000 more babies. You can be part of that. Just 28 bucks, sponsors an ultrasound, and can help save a baby's life. To give, dial pound 250 and say keyword baby. Again, that's pound 250, baby, or donate securely at preborn.com slash Ben. That's preborn.com slash Ben. All gifts are tax deductible. You're not going to do anything more important today. When we talk about helping America, the reality is that America needs children, but not just because we need more kids. The world needs more kids. Kids are wonderful, but also we want to stop the immorality that is abortion. Preborn can help do that. There's so many women who walk into a clinic and they just don't know what to do. They're not even offered the proper, the proper information. They're basically told to do something to their own children. Preborn stops that. They give them the information. They give an ultrasound to women who might be thinking about doing the wrong thing so that they can make the right decision. Just 28 bucks. We'll sponsor one of those ultrasounds. You can help. Give by dialing pound 250 and saying keyword baby. France is a disaster area. France is basically lost at this point. Here's some video of boards of schools burning. You can see at least in this clip, seven separate fires burning in this clip. You can see all over the city. Just fires all over the city in Bordeaux. And again, this is all supposedly being caused by budget cuts, by budget cuts. Here's some video of the students smashing the windows because obviously if you're deeply worried over the budgetary system of education, the first thing you do is make it more expensive by smashing all of the windows. This is what is a useful thing apparently. And there it is in the background. You can see it. The Palestinian flag. Wherever you find people just burning and destroying and ripping things down and looting and just being generally horrible human beings, you can always find the flag of the cause. You can always find the flag because again, the flag of scavenging, the flag of destruction is the Palestinian flag. Again, here's more video of a fire at the Nelson Mandela High School in Nantes. Again, one of the most, I take darkly amusing things about this sort of stuff is that institutions named after Nelson Mandela, who is hardly a right winger and designed to honor racial integration
Speaker 4and left-wing politics, by the way, is being burned by left-wing protesters. You can see like totally on fire. Amazing. And again, these fires are everywhere, everywhere in France right now. Here's some video of a female cop being chased and knocked down by the rioting students, the most delightful people. She's literally just moving. And you can see that. Look at that. Oh, young, young men.
Speaker 1Shocker. Young men chasing and knocking down the female cop. And the caption is all the smiling, crying faces. Yeah. Do those look like native Frenchmen to you? Some of those people do not look particularly native to France. Meanwhile, firefighters are being accosted by rioters
Speaker 4and burning a fire truck in Marseille. And burning fire trucks. That's it. That's great. You're very upset about public services. So you burn the fire trucks and you set on fire the educational institutions. This is what France has done to itself. The wages of gigantic welfare state open borders and no checks on immigration. This is what you end up with. Well, the mayor of Saint-Denis, which is a precinct of Paris, where basically it's a no-go zone.
Speaker 1It is a Muslim-occupied area of Paris. First-generation immigrants are 38% of the city's population. Again, those immigrants are coming largely from North Africa and the Middle East. Second-generation immigrants make up 30% of the city's population, Saint-Denis, this precinct of Paris. The mayor, who's a far-left communist, basically, joined the student rioters to attack the high school. And he's celebrating again. Cheering with him as they set fires outside the high school. Look at that picture. Does that picture look to you like a bunch of people who go back in France generations, precisely? It's really insane. So again, combination for the West to watch here would be. budgets that are totally out of control that force austerity cuts combined with left-wing politics combined with high levels of immigration from places that hate Western civilization. This is the coalition of scavengers that I talk about in my book, Lions and Scavengers. According to the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies, as well as the Ministry of the Interior, 29% of all immigrants in France are from Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia. The second biggest block of migrants are from sub-Saharan countries in Africa. They make up 17% of all migrants. 1.1 million middle and near-eastern migrants have arrived in France since 2011. About half the total immigrant population of France was born in Africa. The Muslim population of France went from 0.5% in 1985 to 7% in 2025. Meanwhile, in France, Catholic identification has dropped from 83% in 1985 to 43% in 2025. People with no religious affiliation has skyrocketed from 13% in 1985 to 37% in 2025. So literally the only growing religious denomination in France at this point is Islam by leaps and bounds. And the Muslims who are being imported are quite radical. A political radicalization study of Muslim youth in Paris and Lyon between 2020 and 2021 found across a series of structured interviews, youth became radicalized when they felt estranged from mainstream societal values like morality, secularism, and the French attitude of assimilation. And two, when they sensed dissatisfaction toward the political institutions that exist, like representative democracy. So how many young Muslims in France are radicalized? Again, according to Middle East Forum and polling data that's been done, 38% of French Muslims endorsed radicalism identifying with the Muslim Brotherhood. 38%, four in 10. 57% of respondents between the ages of 15 and 24 believe that Sharia law ought to trump French law. And again, it's all the same thing. Here are the students who are posing. With the far-left commie flag, right? The flags that they're holding up are Mélenchon's flag next to the Palestinian flag. This is the coalition of people who wish to rip down the civilization and will use any excuse to do so. So these are people who are standing for legitimate terrorist groups alongside people who are just communists. Meanwhile, Louis Boyard, the far-left deputy of the French National Assembly, says that any form of police involvement is a form of repression. This, by the way, would be the same schmuck, you'll remember on the show we showed it, who removed his Rolex watch, because he was lambasting the rich. He's wearing a Rolex and then he quietly removes it in the middle of the interview. Again, the drive behind this is the reality of France's broken budget. When you have a country that is coming apart at the seams because of immigration and left-wing politics, and then you have a budget that is broken, all of the factors are there for complete rioting, collapse, chaos in the streets. France has not had a balanced budget since 1974. They've operated at a deficit for nearly 60 years, they have the highest ratio of public spending to GDP on planet Earth. 57% of GDP is spent on taxpayer-funded programs. In 2024, France's government spending was 1.71 trillion euros. Public debt as of quarter one of 2026 is 3.54 trillion euros. Interest payments cost the government 66.6 billion euros annually. The spend is on universal healthcare, it is on hospitals, medical research, care for low-income residents, and it is on health care. That's about 20% of their government spend. Another 40% of their government spend is social security. So 62% of their entire budget is welfare and healthcare spending. How does that compare to the U.S.? Well, in the U.S., we spend some 54% of our budget on welfare and healthcare. The biggest difference is that because of our tax structure and because we have an actual booming economy and low regulation, our public spend is 35% of our GDP as opposed to, again, 57% of GDP for the French. But again, here is the problem. Look at the factors in France and then apply them to the rest of the West. We have countries that are full-scale bankrupt because of the national debt that they are racking up on public spending, on welfare programs. And then you have politicians who lie to everyone and tell you that you can have endless welfare spending, you can have endless government expenditure, expanding government programs, and also, by the way, open immigration. You can have all those things. The truth is that no responsible country can have a welfare system that grows beyond the boundaries of a budget, beyond the boundaries of an economy, and no responsible country can open its borders. This is why this is relevant in the United States. Okay, so, our politicians here in the United States, and this is a uniparty. I've talked about the uniparty in the U.S. The uniparty, they're liars who will say that the parties are unified with regard to foreign policy. That is untrue, fundamentally untrue. There is, however, a uniparty in the United States, and that is for government spending. The era of small government is over, and it's been over for decades. The era of big government is here. There's not a politician in America who will just tell you, who will just tell you the truth about what is required by a functional economy. What politicians do is they say that government can solve all your problems, elect me. Then government fails, and they blame the free market, so give us more power. Then the government fails some more, but the problem must still be the free market, so give us more power. This segment, by the way, is brought to you by our friends over at Pure Talk because we are going to be speaking some clarity here. Joe Rogan, the other day, he was talking about politicians. He says, you know, they all say they're going to do something and never wind up doing it. Yeah, well, maybe you should stop putting faith in politicians to be able to do things then. Right, the solution, you know, here's the thing. If the government can't do a lot of things, you have no faith in politicians who say they're going to do it. I have no faith. If I told my plumber, if I was talking to my plumber, my plumber said, I'm going to fix the national debt. I'd say, no, that's not possible. You cannot fix the national debt. Right, it turns out that people who don't have the power and authority to do things can't do them. The problem with politicians is they do have the power and authority to give other people's money to other, and then all Americans seem to buy into the notion that politicians can solve all their problems. Ridiculous. You'd figure at a certain point, people might get wise and say, you know what? We're not giving you power because every time we give you more power, you fail worse. But apparently not. Here's Joe Rogan.
Speaker 7I have never been impressed with any single one individual politician who comes along and changes everything. They all say they're going to do something and they never wind up doing exactly what they're doing.
Speaker 1Okay, that is right. So at this point, you might want to minimize the power of government, would you not? Because it turns out they can't do any of these things. But instead, what you get is the retard right and the insane communist left getting together to decide that the real problem, of course, is capitalism. That you need to give Zoran Mamdani more power and then he'll fix everything. Just the way that France gave more power to the government. And things look very fixed over there, don't they? They look great. Zoran Mamdani, by the way, in his own person, is a merger of all the factors we're talking about. Budgetary irresponsibility that's going to break budgets, communist politics, and Islamist radicalism. He has all of those things put together in one human and Theo Vaughn is sitting there like the droog that he is, praising all of this.
Speaker 8Do you think that the American dream is still alive? You know, I don't know. It used to feel like you did enough work, you did this, and you did these things, and you could have this, you could have a life, right? You could have an existence. What's that graph we were looking at earlier, Nick, if you have that? It was about, yeah, U.S. rent prices versus income since 1986. And you can see that rent prices are up 150%, whereas income is up on average
Speaker 925%. - It's unbelievable. -
Speaker 8It's unbelievable. I mean, it's, right, you're putting people, this is just a slow boiling of people's ability to at some point even have peace. Because if you don't have peace, if you can't like catch your breath, like you're saying, it's like, you just can't operate, you know? Like you can't live the American dream if you can't get a good night's sleep. - Yeah. - You know, like if you're stressed out, it's like, you know. And I just think that that's a place where we're at. A lot of people are, they've, internally, they still have that thing that wants them to be able to do it, right? They're striving. But the external isn't meeting them halfway or even a third of the way anymore, like I feel like it used to. -
Speaker 9It feels like you have to luck out in some big way. - Yeah. - I mean, in many ways, I feel like it's why a lot of people play the lottery. That's, for many, it feels like their only chance. -
Speaker 8Well, do you feel like there's like- -
Speaker 9Like people, people think, that they have better odds playing the lottery than making it in their own life. What does that say about the country that we live in? -
Speaker 1I mean, what it says is that there are people like you who lie for a living, who lie for a living. Again, listen, everybody who votes wants free stuff. That's a reality, okay? Large majorities, according to the Wall Street Journal, support both strong border security and a pathway to citizenship for people in the country illegally. Also, when it comes to spending, nearly three quarters of voters support a cap on child care, health care costs for working families. Also, nearly four in five voters support capping credit card interest rates at 10%, because when people don't understand trade-offs and they are told that if you vote for a thing, it will magically appear, and they don't think of any of the spillover effect, which is what economics is about. Economics is fundamentally the study of the distribution of goods and resources, and also the knock-on effects of how you distribute those things. If you never look at the second order effects of the policies that you examine, you end up with idiot policies, but this is where we are. And unfortunately, again, this is bled over to both parties. So, the vice president, J.D. Vance, who is himself a very, very big government Republican, right, he is promoting the idea that the government can also fix all of your economic problems through tariffs and through subsidization. And then he cites the dyspepsia of people about the economy as a rationale for yet more government involvement. Again, this sort of pandering is not helpful. It just isn't, okay? It may be politically helpful, but it is not helpful on a real level. when you tell Americans they cannot succeed, the free market has failed them, vote for me, and I'm going to fix all your problems, all of your dyspepsia is not only somewhat based, but also entirely justified by hatred of the free market, and I will step in and I will fix it for you. I'm sorry, Republicans can't compete in this business. They will just lose. They will lose because Democrats are there promising even more stuff. But here's J.D. Vance trying the soft-to-sell approach.
Speaker 6Like, I just think you have to level with people that if you're trying to undo 40 years of bad policy, of globalization, of shipping American jobs overseas, it's going to take a little bit of time to fix that. Now, do I think we've made incredible progress? Absolutely. But I think we just have to be honest with people. Look, we're trying to fix what was broken over 40 years. Everything was not going to be fixed in 18 months, but you can't ignore people's concerns. And so, you know, on the one hand, you have the president talking about all the great building that's happening. You have me sort of acknowledging that it's going to take a long time to rebuild the American middle class. And on the other hand, you have a few tone-deaf Republicans who say, shut up if you're pissed off about a $22 burrito. Well, my response to those people is, no, listen to people who are upset with the state of the economy. If we don't listen to people, we will turn into the very thing that we hate, the very thing that we ran against.
Speaker 1Okay, so I'm just going to point out here that there is a difference between saying, he's citing the $20 burrito again, because this is very much in vogue with people who are on the big government right. And the entire controversy, the dumb controversy over the $22, $22 burrito is twofold. Everyone agrees things cost too much. Also, a burrito does not cost $22 unless you're ordering it via Uber. And so there are some personal lifestyle decisions that you can make as to whether you wish to spend $22 on a burrito. Both of those things can live logically in your mind. But again, the goal of politicians is to pretend that if you want a golden horsey and people don't give you your golden horsey and you're upset that you don't have your golden horsey, I will give you the golden horsey. Ben, if you want to talk about the reasons for inflation, there are reasons for inflation. And of course, the entire left and part of the right will say that one of the reasons for inflation is the Iran war. That's true with regard to gas and oil. Of course, of course. But let us be very, very clear that inflation spiked under Joe Biden to extraordinary rates well before there was an Iran war because of the government spending and because of the bottlenecks in supply chains, thanks to COVID. And then the entire vast wave of money that he hovered over the economy. And then it came down late in the Biden administration. And then it dropped even a little more under Trump. And then it started to basically stagger and stagnate in the 3% to 4% range under President Trump, partially because he decided to once again restrict supply, which is what a tariff is. And then that was exacerbated by the war in Iran. All of which is to say that government involvement in the economy is highly likely to produce precisely the inflationary effects that people are decrying. So when they say, well, you know, I'm worried about costs. Therefore, the government should be more involved. And you just have to tell people, you have to level with them that we need to redo the entire economic structure. Free markets. That's the real problem. Okay, let us be very clear about the status of the economy since 1967. Again, we showed these stats the other day, and they are true. According to Cato Institute, looking at the Census Bureau income data since 1967, over the past 60 years, the share of households with incomes over $150,000 went from 5% of households in 1967 to 28% of households in 2025. The share of households who made between $35,000 and $149,000 dropped actually from 65% to 53% because a huge number of those people moved into the upper middle and upper class. Also, real household income has risen by more than half since 1967. If you look at this line, it is basically an arithmetic increase. It is basically just a slow and steady increase in real median household income.
Speaker 4It spiked during Trump's term one, by the way. But this is a fairly
Speaker 1even growing line. So the idea that you are living a much worse life than your grandparents were living in 1967 because of, say, free trade or because of deregulation is crazy. It's not true. But if your politicians on the right and the left keep lying to you about what government can do, I mean, they can lie. Obviously, listen, it is always going to be politically productive to tell everybody that they can have the golden horse. But there are downstream effects to telling everybody they can have the golden horsey. And you're watching it in France right now. And here was J.D. Vance talking about how the social welfare system is a core part of the social contract.
Speaker 6One of my big beliefs, Joe, on this is like the social welfare system in this country is a core part of the social contract. Like my family, I myself benefited from some of these programs. I'm now the vice president of the United States. I know a lot of people who can't afford to live in the United States. I know a lot of people who get down on their luck, who need a little bit of help, you know, giving their kids access to a doctor or taking their kids to a dentist or need a little bit of help that month, you know, buying food for their families. I want those programs to exist. And I think it's a cool thing about Americans that we're generous to one another. We say when you're down on your luck, yes, of course, we want you to be finding a job. And yes, we want you to be trying to get back on your feet. And we know most of our fellow Americans will. But if you're down on your luck, your kid is not going to go hungry or not going to be able to, you know, to treat an illness because they can't afford a doctor.
Speaker 1Okay, again, when he says that the social welfare system is the core part of the social contract, and then he says that he's only where he is because of social welfare systems. First of all, this is precisely the opposite of the argument that he made in the book that made him famous, Hillbilly Elegy. Second of all, there's a vast difference between local programs and the federal government. And third, it is indistinguishable from the rhetoric of Elizabeth Warren, indistinguishable. And if Republicans keep simultaneously claiming the free markets are great and also the free markets are bad, and the free markets are a failure and we need more government control, people are going to be rightly confused. Now, President Trump, he's bewildered by this. He says that we don't seem to be able to get the word across that the economy is doing pretty well. Well, maybe part of the reason is because half the Republican Party is dedicated to the proposition that we need vastly more government spending and more government regulation and centralized bureaucracy.
Speaker 10And we have the best economy anywhere in the world. There's no economy like this economy. And the only thing we don't have is good public relations. We don't have. We don't seem to be able to get the word across that we have more people working than ever before. We have the best job numbers than ever before. And we don't get the word across. And that's because the press doesn't want us to get the word across. And, you know, press has to become real news, not fake news.
Speaker 1Again, he is not wrong. Okay, the president is not wrong here. Okay, but when you have people in the administration who are telling you that actually we need to promise more people golden horsies, it's kind of a problem. Trump's disapproval rating, by the way, continues to spike. There's a new poll out showing that his handling of the economy, 26% of Americans believe that his handling of the economy is good. That is because of discombobulation. It is because you cannot simultaneously claim that you want to lower inflation and raise tariffs. You cannot simultaneously claim that you want to free up the markets with AI, but also you want to nationalize particular industries. It confuses people. Now, Democrats are better at this because they just lie. They rely on free markets to generate economic growth, and then they claim that the free markets are failing. So that's what Zoran Mamdani is doing. He's bragging that New York's economy grew by 4% in Q2, more than any other state. Want to get your business off the ground? Hire only the best. There's only one place to do it, New York. Well, would you like to know why New York State has a high Q2 GDP growth rate? Because the number one contributor to the state's growth was finance, Wall Street, the people that he's yelling about. Remember, it's Zoran Mamdani who says that socialism is just about, having whatever you need to live a dignified life. We have an entire political class, and again, it's now spanning the entire left and part of the right, that says free markets are to blame for everything, and what we truly need is socialistic control from the top. Here is Zoran Mamdani saying that, you know, socialism is just being nice. It's just niceness, right? It's the warm hug of collectivism.
Speaker 9Socialism, to me, it means that you will have whatever you need to live a dignified life, and that it is, it's the government's job to deliver on that, right? It's a belief that you shouldn't live in a place where all you can do is pick your own leaders. You should also be able to have that power in the rest of your life, right? People talk about it as the extension of democracy from the ballot box to the rest of your life. What do people mean by the rest of your life? They mean your workplace, your home, things like that. So when people say dignity, I want to be very clear. We're talking about, we're talking about the things that allow you to take a breath. Housing, child care, right? Public transit. No one should be priced out of these things. These are non-negotiables. You need these to live.
Speaker 1Golden horsies. Everybody should just be given, and how's he going to achieve all of this? Not by the actual things that allow people to have good housing and good nutrition and good child care and all that stuff. You know, free markets and good decision making. It's me. It's me, Smarmy McSmarmalot. Islamist McSmarmy. Yes, golden horsies. That's all we need. That's all we need. It's just, it's insane. Jon Stewart doing the same routine. He says, you know, we have too much privatization. Okay, Jon, I'd love to collectivize your income. Your talents, it seemed like they are the product of collective effort. Let's collectivize your show.
Speaker 11I want to stop privatizing things that don't work well in a market system, like healthcare, like Medicare, like all those things that are getting ruined by privatization. Correct. And insurance and all those different, markets and, uh, and rebalance so that labor gets a fair shake the same shake that money gets again it's just
Speaker 1the man who became rich off the free markets is now very anti-free markets obviously because again there's always that beautiful dream that someone is going to come in and fix all their problems okay so combine the statism the welfare statism of the entire left and a heart a huge chunk of the right combine that with the open immigration policies being pushed by the left and what you get is france here's mila kirosh the dsa candidate in colorado who is now going to be part of the so called block in congress the commies and islamists in congress here she is saying there are millions of immigrants that should have citizenship
Speaker 12we need to make it so that it doesn't take a decade to become a citizen in this country and cost you thousands of dollars to do it i saw my parents go through it i see members of my community to go through it it's absolutely ridiculous um i do believe that with that being said there are millions of undocumented immigrants in the united states right now that are working that are contributing to their societies and their communities and should have an immediate pathway to citizenship um and obviously we'll we'll make sure for the folks that have been committing crimes or whatever the case is but again those are a minuscule number of people in fact immigrants are less likely to commit a crime than people that were born here in the u.s so um i just believe in common sense immigration reform um and and making sure that we're actually living up to the the ideals of of this country i mean i'm
Speaker 1this is the combo this is the kind of course she's also a free palestine flag waiver okay all of this is ridiculous but speaking of ridiculous it is ridiculous to overspend on your phone bill how are you still overpaying for wireless what i have to do to convince you cut one of your recurring bills and pay as low as 34.99 a month for an unlimited plan go ahead visit puretalk.com slash apparel and get 50 off your initial month switch over today plus with unlimited high speed data at only 34.99 per month the total savings really start to add up you don't have to rely on my word when more than 120 000 wireless customers agree head on over to puretalk.com slash shapiro now and get half off that first month it's puretalk.com slash shapiro experience the difference for yourself so again mila kirosh is combining the open immigration with the welfare statism there are consequences to that nbc is now reporting that a purported media representative for hamas has been accused of funneling roughly 1.7 million dollars to the terrorist organization from donors in the u.s and elsewhere who believed they were giving humanitarian aid to gaza according to a federal indictment on sealed on thursday salim al-zak was indicted by a federal grand jury in new york and was charged with money laundering and violating sanctions according to the charging document two brothers in the u.s abdul adhami and omar adhami were charged in connection with the long-running scheme to raise money for hamas by disseminating propaganda and soliciting donations for the poor and orphans in gaza via snapchat telegram and instagram according to court records all told between november 4th 2023 and june 2025 abdul adhami sends almost 35 grand one paypal account and 46 grand to another the money was then funneled to al-zak who is believed to be in gaza you know spending the money on hamas and these are people who are in the united states raising money for hamas great job immigration system you did just great you did awesome meanwhile a bexar county man in texas has been arrested and charged federally for possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number after he allegedly made a threat to attack the texas state capital according to court documents a person in benny caldera jr allegedly told another individual he was going to go to the capital and would shoot it up specifically he was expressing his anger toward the american israeli public affairs committee he said quote these people have to be exterminated so things are going well here in the united states again a radicalized left
