Ep. 2508 - Radical Islam Is On The March

In this episode, Ben Shapiro covers multiple topics centered on national security, entertainment, and politics. He begins with a SimpliSafe advertisement celebrating 20 years of prevention-focused home security. He then promotes "Run, Hide, Fight: Infidels," a Daily Wire film that has sparked controversy, with theaters canceling screenings and leftists tearing down posters. Shapiro details the arrest of Jonathan Hunter Kramer, an ISIS-inspired terror suspect in Pennsylvania, and warns about Abdul El-Sayed, a Michigan Senate candidate with radical Islamic ties. He argues that political Islam is a failed governing philosophy, pointing to Saudi Arabia's inability to stop Houthi terrorists from capturing the Bab el-Mandab Strait, a critical global oil choke point. Shapiro criticizes left-wing figures like Thomas Massie, Ilhan Omar, and Bernie Sanders for aligning with anti-American causes, and mocks Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom's political maneuvering. He also discusses the Ed Sheeran controversy, where Macklemore was removed from a tour for political reasons, leading opening acts to abandon the tour. Throughout, Shapiro emphasizes the importance of supporting Daily Wire's entertainment as a cultural counterforce.

Speaker 1We'll get to more on this in just one second. First, you know, 20 years ago, man, a lot has happened in my life. I was 22 years old. I was not yet married. And now just think back over the past 20 years, wife, five kids, big business, all of it. Well, 20 years is a long time. SimpliSafe is now celebrating 20 years again. Most companies don't make it that long unless they're actually solving a real problem. When you're picking a security system for your home, what you're looking for is peace of mind. The goal is not to obsess over your security. The goal is to never have to think about it again. And that's what I like about SimpliSafe. Most home security systems are designed for after something goes wrong, after the window breaks, after someone gets inside, after your phone buzzes. SimpliSafe's approach is different. It's designed to help stop a break-in before it happens. Their AI-powered outdoor cameras detect suspicious activity around your home, alert live US-based agents. Those agents can actually speak through the camera to scare off trespassers and, if necessary, request 911 dispatch. Prevention beats reaction. SimpliSafe has been protecting your world for 20 years. Celebrate their anniversary with us and save 60% on your new SimpliSafe system at simplisafe.com slash Shapiro. That's 60% off at simplisafe.com slash Shapiro Plus when you order right in our show name in the How Did You Hear About Us survey to let them know we say there is no safe like SimpliSafe. It's here at long last. The Daily Wire's most exciting, awesome, and wild movie, Run, Hide, Fight, Infidels. It's finally here. Over at dailywire.com, you have to subscribe. And people are going crazy. Theaters are canceling screenings. Leftists in New York are tearing down posters. Why? Well, because in America, in 2026, it is not approved for anyone to show just what the Islamic invasion of the West is really about. We'll get into the release of Run, Hide, Fight, Infidels. Plus, the Saudis utterly failing to stop a bunch of ragtag terrorists from threatening global waterways and Ed Sheeran's political buddies betraying him to score points. This is The Ben Shapiro Show. So it's finally here. We are very pumped about this. We've been telling you about this for months and weeks, and now it is finally here. The movie the left does not want you to see. They're calling. They're calling it Islamophobic. Just ask Mehdi Hassan and CARE and MPAC and ISNA and all the other Muslim Brotherhood associated, allegedly, groups. They're canceling screenings at theaters because the film is too controversial. They're even tearing down posters for Run, Hide, Fight, Infidels in New York City. You can see this happening. We actually saw around town in New York. We put up some posters and people were immediately tearing them down, obviously. Well, in case you missed it, we have made the hottest movie of the fall. It is a blast. It kicks ass and has something fairly serious. We'll see about the nature of the threat of Islam. Here is the trailer.
Speaker 2Every significant movement in history has started with protesting. You're a traitor. It's Uncle Tom. This is our generation's civil rights.
Speaker 1I have no idea what the protest is about.
Speaker 3Bingo. Given the current climate, should a figure as polarizing as Clay Saunders even be allowed on campus?
Speaker 4Can you hear me okay? Saunders is a close personal friend of Chancellor Friedman. This is a decision I cannot fight. Islam will conquer the West.
Speaker 5As-salamu alaykum.
Speaker 4Are we paying attention?
Speaker 2They've taken over the building. They're downstairs and they've blocked the doors.
Speaker 5I seek forgiveness from Allah, the Almighty. We cannot run and hide. Mohammed is the messenger of God. There is no God but Allah.
Speaker 4What do you say we turn those SOBs into a fine red mist?
Speaker 6As we move, one man will cover while the other guys go. They call that leapfrogging. Touch them while we're missing.
Speaker 7You need a course in safe weapons handling. Watch out, here I come.
Speaker 1The movie is awesome. It is only available right now at dailywire.com. You need to become a member. Now, people are already subscribing and watching. It's already our hottest release ever. You're not going to want to miss it if you want to be part of the conversation. So, if you love this show, you're going to love the movie. And this is why you must support Daily Wire. Because this is what we do. We're making the sorts of entertainment that not only won't Hollywood ever make. These are the sorts of entertainment that Hollywood will typically blacklist you for making. You know, saying true things. You want there to be entertainment content that doesn't sucker punch you with left-wing trash? You should support us. If you want us to keep making bigger and better stuff, you should support us. Because we are doing something different. Bigger and bolder and better. I mean, this is actual entertainment that's awesome with actual movie stars like Jonathan Majors. We are talking about actually out-competing Hollywood. Not by making more pablum, but by making better stuff. And stuff that actually happens. To be true. We currently have the number two show on all of Amazon Prime Video. In the Pendragon cycle, Rise of the Merlin. Help us make Run, Hide, Fight, Infidels the number one film in America at the exact same time. By joining us today as a member at DailyWire.com. There's a lot more to come, by the way. Like a lot more. And we cannot wait to announce it. A lot more is going to be announced in the very, very, very near future. We have a pipeline of awesome entertainment that's already in the can. Like ready to go. And more that is currently in production as we speak. We are not slowing down. We have not stopped. We have not slowed. We have not slowed down. Not for a second. But we need your help. Because obviously, it is your subscriptions that help keep us going. And help us to make this sort of stuff. Because again, our civilization is at risk. And if we don't fight on every front, including entertainment. Because culture is upstream of politics. We're going to lose. Ain't nobody else doing it. So we will with your help. So why is that important? Because if people don't understand the threat on a visceral level. They cave to it. And this is how we get ISIS members on our soil. So yesterday, NBC News reported that there was a full-scale terror attack. That was thwarted. Thwarted in Butler County. Not sure what the hell is going on in Butler County, Pennsylvania. According to NBC News. A Pennsylvania man named Jonathan Hunter Kramer was arrested on Sunday. After agents descended on a hotel room in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. He was charged with receiving a firearm. With the intention to be used in a felony or act of terrorism. In a criminal complaint and probable cause affidavit. Filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Federal prosecutors allege that Kramer. Using a telegram username, shoot into a crowd. Posted threatening statements alluding to an unidentified act. To occur within three months. As well as documents on how to make explosives, C4 and car bombs. So, this person's home was searched. And a laptop was found with a recording of Kramer reciting a pledge of allegiance to ISIS. Kramer also allegedly had an online alias, Hamza al-Rashid. Where he brainstormed methods of violence against the Kufar. Kufar is infidels. As well as tools that can be useful to remain anonymous according to the complaint. Kramer's alleged planning document highlighted poisonings, large trucks and firearms. As methods to increase your jihad's destruction. Jihad is not merely a term of art here. Apparently, he promoted distracting emergency services as a strategy for carrying out an attack. He allegedly wrote to the online community on May 26th. I might be able to carry out an operation soon against the Kufar. Please pray for my success, brothers. During the arrest, federal investigators seized a Panther Arms semi-automatic rifle. Over 150 rounds of ammo. Two loaded rifle magazines. A rifle bipod and scope. A prayer rug and pepper spray. Among other materials. So, got the terrorist. Suspects in Butler, Pennsylvania. And, of course, we have terror supporters running for the Senate and possibly winning in Michigan. Abdul El-Sayed, an Islamist America hater who simply poses as a socialist America hater. He is locked right now in a neck-and-neck struggle with Mike Rogers. He's got all the worst people behind him. Obviously, Hassan Taiker and some on the horseshoe right. There's a reason for that. Everyone who hates America as it currently is likes Abdul El-Sayed. But who is Abdul El-Sayed? Well, everyday new information appears. He is a radical Muslim apologist who despises the country. In a moment, we will get to people in the United States who are very much on the side of the jihadists. That includes a Senate candidate for the Democrats over in Michigan. First, monthly bills start at a reasonable price sometimes. And then they grow. Because you're not watching. Because you're not actually keeping your eye on the thing. Wireless companies have basically perfected this model. You pay more. The plan becomes more complicated. Somehow, the coverage still isn't any better. People use their phones all day for calls, texts, videos, photos, streaming, meetings, unlimited data. Pure talk. It handles it all with incredible coverage. And there's real evidence behind that. According to Fox News, we are now learning that he was the leader of a protest against three ex-terrorists who spoke at the University of Michigan in 2007. The protest, chronicled by the Michigan Daily, was against three speakers, Waleed Shoubat, Zachariah Anani, and Kamal Saleem, self-described former terrorists who were making the rounds during the Michigan Daily. in the mid-2000s to discuss their lives in the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Muslim Brotherhood before they converted to Christianity. Students attending the talk stage at a walkout, El-Sayed cheered it afterward. He said, we've done something good today and we need to keep that going in the future. At the time, he was the VP of the Muslim Students Association, which is alleged, with pretty substantial evidence, to have ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, which again, is described by a wide variety of regimes, including the UAE, as a terrorist organization. And of course, just as Jeremiah Wright presided over Barack Obama's church, and that gave you a window into what he thinks, El-Sayed's imam literally delivered a funeral prayer for Ismail Khania in August of 2024. Ismail Khania was the leader of Hamas killed by Mossad in 2024 in Tehran, in Iran. Here is El-Sayed's imam delivering an oration on behalf of the terror leader of Hamas. And El-Sayed is currently, possibly, the frontrunner for Senate in Michigan. So you could have like a full scale Islamic terrorist supporter as. a senator in Michigan, just because he says Medicare for all a lot. Here is the Imam for Al-Sayed. He is a symbol of jihad, a symbol of struggle, a symbol of patriotism, and a symbol of devotion. No one loves him except someone who loves God and his messenger. And no one hates him except an enemy of Islam. He is a righteous man, one of the righteous. This man, Ismail Khenia, lost almost 100 members of his family.
Speaker 8But he lost his kids and his grandchildren and his sister and her children. His kids were for Hamas. And this man was a negotiator for Hamas. He did not involve anything except he just wanted liberation for his people. Oh. He wanted to
Speaker 1liberate Palestine, his land and his homeland. He saw nothing more than that. This is a full-scale offense by the actual Imam for Abdul Al-Sayed of an Islamic terror leader named Ismail Khenia, again, the leader of Hamas. Abdul Al-Sayed could become a senator for Michigan because people are either stupid or ignorant, don't understand the threat or refuse to see it. Or they just hate America enough that they're willing to side with pretty much anybody. One of the great ironies of history is that the Islamic revolution of Iran in 1979 began as an Islamic leftist revolution. It was communists plus Islamists overthrowing the Shah. And then, of course, the radical Muslims took over and shot all the communists. It's not just about Abdul Al-Sayed. Zahra Mamdani, a terrorist supporter, is mayor of New York. The new Congress that comes in next year will almost certainly include jihadi supporters ranging from Daryliza Chevalier in New York, who said she wanted to wipe her hands on the American flag, to Milad Kirosh in Colorado, who said it was not anti-Semitic to firebomb Jews protesting Hamas, to Adam Hamali in New Jersey, an actual translator for an actual Muslim terrorist who actually tried to bomb the World Trade Center, and also an alleged member of an Al-Qaeda front group doing fake charitable work in Bosnia. Those three will be in Congress in all likelihood come January. And it's getting worse from here, not better. And the useful idiots on the left are idioting. One of the themes of Run, Hide, Fight Infidels, our brand new movie, it could have been called useful idiots because, again, the people who are used by the Muslim terrorists are the left-wingers who are willing to usher them onto campus in the belief that they are all fighting against the same system together. It doesn't quite go that way for our leftist friends in Run, Hide, Fight Infidels. And if you take a look at the influencers who've been boosting Zoran Mamdani's administration, according to Manhattan Institute, Adams Lahody, doing reporting. Some of these folks are just radical leftists. Christina Brown, who goes by MissXTinab on Instagram, celebrated the assassination of Charlie Kirk. She says violence was an answer. Suggested that ICE agents should be poisoned and told her 282,000 followers, I don't love this country. I hate it so much I want to see it fall. She has described Christianity as a religion of white supremacy whose pastors are quote, covered in the blood of enslaved people. Christina Brown, also she says that the phrase globalize the Intifada is not anti-Semitic. And she says violence wasn't the answer. What do you mean? Violence was the equation. Or maybe other influencers, like Megan Kilnk, who runs Pretty Informed Girls, told her 223,000 followers, America has mass concentration camps and there is no reforming in effing Gestapo, referring to ICE. Some of the other influencers on behalf of Zoran Mamdani include Cassie Wilson, who has posted several videos with the mayor, including a video she made back in February in which she shouted, free Palestine, F Donald Trump, billionaires shouldn't exist, F fascism, no war, but class war. One satirical video Wilson made in collaboration with another influencer has her saying, you've got to unalive your girlfriend for working for ICE. The radical left, the Islamic radicals, they hold hand. This includes Emma Vigeland, who's a radical leftist. She says, Hezbollah is currently the only viable alternative to a collaborationist corrupt Lebanese state that is unable to present a military challenge to Israel by design. So again, just standing for Hezbollah. And there are lots of ways to fight back against this insanity. The Red-Green Alliance. One of the best ways is you can support us in fighting that fight with the entertainment that you want to see and that others in America want to see. It's fun, by the way. It's not just missional. It's also fun. You're going to want to watch with your spouse, your girlfriend, your boyfriend. You're going to want to hang out with your friends and watch it. It's hilarious. It's fun. Run, hide, fight infidels out today. Help us make more of this kind of content by becoming a member today. Okay, so on the foreign policy front, Islam as a political program, obviously. And whenever I say Islam, I'm not talking about individual Muslims who are eating an iftar dinner. I'm talking about Islam as a broad spread political program and as applied broadly across the globe. As Samuel Huntington, the author of The Clash of Civilization said, Islam has bloody horrors, but also bloody innards because Muslims like to kill other Muslims in Muslim regimes. I mean, that is just a way that it has worked, historically speaking. But it is not just a threat. Political Islam is also a failure. It is also a failure. And let us be clear. Islamic regimes all over the world rely on Western technologies and Western modes of thought for any success that they have. Any. Not some. Any. That is just a reality of the world. Islam as a governing philosophy is bankrupt. It does not work. It does not work. It is a failure. The Nobel Prize winning writer, V.S. Naipaul, pointed this out in his books Among the Believers and Beyond Belief, where he went and he traveled through Islamic regimes and he found failure after failure after failure and the failure was seen as part of the benefit of the bargain. Because it was a purer form of Islam. And again, that would help explain why it is that Muslim regimes trail their competitors pretty much everywhere else on Earth. The only methods of Islamic governance that have worked have been copied from the West. The only methods of technology in Islamic countries that work have been copied from the West. No West, no oil. No West, no defensive weaponry. No West, no modern military. No West, no banking. That is just the reality. This is why when you see people simping for Sharia law abroad, it's the most ridiculous crap you ever saw. The reason there are skyscrapers in UAE is because the West, taught people how to build skyscrapers and then provided the plans and contracting. This is all built on Western bases. There's this bizarre idea that has traveled abroad in the anti-American circles that places that have never seen the footprint of the West are somehow better off. Well, that's weird because literally the places on Earth that have never seen the footprint of the West, you know, undiscovered tribes in barely inhabited islands, it turns out they're not building paradise. They are living in primitive fashion. The West is unique. And the West has a better way of life and a better way of thought. That is a reality. And this is being proved every day, not just by conflicts between Islamic radicals and the West, but also by the way that regimes fail in the Middle East themselves. So a perfect example of this is what is happening right now in Saudi Arabia. It's really astonishing, truly. Okay, so we should just point out at this point that over the past 25 years or so, the United States has sold well over $200 billion in defense equipment, training, and services to the Saudi regime. Obama sold $115 billion of weaponry to the Saudis. Trump I sold $110 billion. Trump II sold $142 billion. So they've been buying weaponry from us because, of course, they have lots of oil money. We give them the money for the oil, and they use that money to buy American made weaponry. They also get minor grants from anti-terrorism training, and we spend billions of dollars to upkeep military bases on their soil to protect them. The reason that there are military bases on Saudi soil is not because America is looking for forward projection, per se. The Saudis won't even let us use the air bases for forward projection in the main. The reality is that we put those bases on their soil originally to protect them against Saddam Hussein because they couldn't defend themselves. Well, now it turns out the Saudis, who again have F-16s, they have F-35s, they have modern military weaponry, are getting their asses handed to them in Yemen by an Iranian terror group called the Houthis. They've been embroiled in a war in Yemen in which the Yemeni regime was associated with the Saudis and with the UAE. The Saudis decided they didn't like having their lunch eaten by the UAE because, again, the UAE is significantly more western friendly and open than the Saudi regime, which has always been attempting to triangulate with the Chinese, for example, and with the Iranians. Well, it turns out in Yemen, the Iranians haven't been shy about supporting the Houthis, who are a bunch of ragtag terrorists who are being handed a bunch of weapons by Iran. And so for the last 11 years, there's been a hot war in Yemen. Now, the Houthis are not exactly a fierce military power, or certainly wouldn't be if they were not being given technology by the Iranians via the Chinese. Here, for example, is some of the Houthis. Here's what they look like. Does this look like, you know, a highly sophisticated military power here?
Speaker 9In case you can't see it, this looks like
Speaker 1a bunch of tribesmen with semi-sophisticated military weaponry. These are impoverished terrorists. Okay, this is not a highly militarized, western-style military. At all. It is a ragtag group of terrorists with things like RPGs. And some machine guns. Like AK-47s. Does this look like a highly sophisticated military power? Now, the Houthis have a slogan. Not super catchy, but here it is. Their slogan is, "God is the greatest, Allahu Akbar." Death to America. Death to Israel. A curse upon the Jews. and victory to Islam. That's a little long. It doesn't fit on a bumper sticker properly, but this is what they believe. So this group of global losers is, with Iranian backing and Chinese-made weaponry, humiliating the Saudis, humiliating them. So over the course of the last couple of weeks, basically this ragtag group of terrorists, which has staved off the incompetent Yemeni government and the less than competent Saudi military for literally 11 years, they started pressing westward toward the coastline of Yemen. Why does that matter? Well, because it turns out the coastline of Yemen is located along the Bab el-Mandab Strait, which is a global choke point for shipping of oil. Possibly more important than the Strait of Hormuz. And they took over the whole place without the Saudis flying a single sortie from the F-16s that we sold them or the F-35s that we sold them, an act of extraordinary incompetence. Why? Because it turns out these regimes are not good at governing. They're really, really bad at it. They're quite terrible at building military and military power. They're quite terrible at projecting military power, even against ragtag terrorists. Again, this group of derelicts, they look like homeless people pulled off the street and handed RPGs, took over the Bab el-Mandab Strait. So how did that happen precisely? Well, CNN had the story. Quote, the desperate pleas for air cover from Yemeni generals started coming mid-morning on Thursday in advance by the Iran-backed Houthis toward Yemen's strategic port city of Mocha was in full swing and backup support from chief ally Saudi Arabia was nowhere in sight. The Houthis committed, everything they had, waves upon waves of fighters along with their available ballistic missiles and weapons, a senior Yemeni source attached to their military forces, told CNN. The source that he contacted sent calm and was assured the United States was watching the situation closely and that Saudi air support was coming. But the air support never came. And then Mocha fell. And then it turns out on Friday, the Houthis captured another key coastal asset called Parim Island at the mouth of the Red Sea. That island splits the Bab el-Mandab Strait in two and gives Tehran, because again, this is an Iranian-backed terror group, de facto control, over yet another key shipping route. So the conflict in Yemen had basically been stagnating for some years now. But because Tehran has been cut off in its attempts to attack Israel, because Tehran has been unsuccessful in securing the Strait of Hormuz, they're now trying to exert pressure on another pressure point, the Bab el-Mandab Strait. Apparently, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman spoke twice on Thursday with President Trump and urged him to strike the Houthis and Trump was like, nah. Apparently, the White House said, the United States is focused on protecting our core national security interests, such as ensuring freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, while empowering our regional partners to take the lead in managing and resolving regional security challenges. We are in continuous dialogue with Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Yemen government regarding regional stability. By the way, the Bab el-Mandab Strait is used mainly by Europe because of the oil, just look at a map, the oil flowing up to Europe is moving through the Bab el-Mandab Strait through the Red Sea and through the Suez Canal. Again, you can see the map here into the Strait of Hormuz, which the United States has, largely opened, right, the Strait of Hormuz is no longer under full Iranian control. So the Iranians and the Yemenis have been attempting to hit the East-West crude oil pipeline that flows from the Persian Gulf toward the other side of Saudi Arabia, right, into the Red Sea. And so they've been striking those pipelines to cut off Saudi oil supply. And now they're doing the same by grabbing hold of the Bab el-Mandab Strait to cut off Saudi oil supply and artificially increase the price of oil. Right, that is what is happening right now. And you can see the outbound oil flow has been somewhat restored in Hormuz, not back to where it was before the war, but somewhat restored. But the idea from Iran is what if we just exert pressure so that nobody can export any oil via this pipeline going the other way by bombing the pipeline or by closing off the Bab el-Mandab Strait? Now, here's the question. Where are our allies? What is Saudi doing? Why are they wildly incompetent? Where are the Europeans? This is their oil too. What do they do for a living precisely? Now, again, we should point out here, this is a Muslim on Muslim fight. You may have noticed that in this entire conversation, Israel has not come up because you know who actually is not affected by any of this, particularly Israel. But the Saudis are incompetent militarily, pathetic. They clearly don't even know how to use the weapons we sold and gave them. Their air force was totally useless. The Bab el-Mandab Strait was taken over by a bunch of terrorists with speedboats. And what about that vaunted Saudi-Pakistani-Turkish NATO-like defense pact? Do you remember this? A few weeks ago, they signed the Mecca Defense Alliance, right? Saudi and Pakistan, who we love very much, according to the vice president, and Turkey, who again is warm with the Trump administration. They signed this mutual defense alliance. Wouldn't it be handy to have Pakistan and Turkey help out? Well, it turns out the Pakistanis and Turks are handing out free high fives. It's the high five mean while Saudi Arabia drowns. And now Mecca, the holiest city in Islam, is under missile attack, reportedly, from the Houthis, which, of course, is a slap in the face to the Saudis because the Saudis see themselves as the guardian of the holy sites. So what are the Saudis doing now? Well, after begging the Americans to get involved and after yelling at the Israelis for some years now about fighting Islamic terrorism, they are quietly and covertly begging the Israelis to help. And what does this say about Islam as a governing philosophy? The answer is it fails. Again, it fails. Without the West, no oil. Without the West, no defense. Without the West, no defense mechanisms. Without the West, no skyscrapers, no financial capacity, nothing. That is a reality. Now, that doesn't mean there aren't Islamic countries that are moving in the direction of more sophistication, that are moving to make alliance with the West. The only kingdoms in the region that are actually full-scale embracing the West, the UAE and Bahrain mostly, are actively being alienated by the Saudis, who again want to play this dumb game where they triangulate with the Turks, the Chinese, the Pakistanis, and the Iranians. Genius level work there from the Saudi regime. Meanwhile, again, the Saudis couldn't even help us properly defend the bases we set up to help them in the 90s to protect them from Saddam Hussein. So there are now photos from active service members showing damage at U.S. bases. Here are images from an airplane at Prince Sultan, Air Force Base in Saudi, or destroyed trailers in Kuwait, or building damage in Kuwait. Now again, is any of this catastrophic for America? No. I mean, you're looking at what are relatively minor damage photos. Honestly, relatively minor. When you're looking at the size of the assault that Iran has been leveling against Kuwait, Saudi, Bahrain, UAE, and all the rest. But they are not capable of defending themselves. They are not. And now, the blowing up of that Saudi East-West pipeline, it threatens the loss of 4% of global oil supply, according to Reuters. Saudi Arabia will now run out of oil stocks for exports if it doesn't restart its major pipeline to the Red Sea within days, leading to a loss of up to 4% of global supply. A further, decline in Saudi flows will worsen the global supply crunch, which has already pushed global fuel prices to record highs, spurred inflation around the world, and sent U.S. bond yields to the highest levels since the 2008 financial crisis. By the way, this is just another reason why the president was right to go after Iran. Because Iran, if it dominated the region, would be able to turn on and off the spigot at will. They're doing it right now by striking pipelines and shutting off supply routes. And it turns out that our friends in Saudi Arabia can't do bleep about it, or at least aren't capable of doing bleep about it. This is why Iran needs to be, the head of the snake, needs to be cut off. And that is not a call for boots on the ground. It is a call for the president to continue doing what he is doing, which is absolutely cratering the Iranian economy. The president, for his part, says, we continue to produce more exquisite and elite weapons than at any time in our history. They're being delivered on a daily basis to our forces in the Middle East and beyond. Our defense company factories are moving 24-7, while at the same time building on average four to five large-scale brand new plants each. A primary focus of this production has been Patriot's THAAD system, Tomahawks, and other standard missile systems, of which we already have large numbers in stock. So right now, for all the talk about how the Iran war is wildly expensive, and again, you see headlines that sort of exaggerate the cost of the war. I'll give you a stat without any context. So Politico will say, the Iran war has cost taxpayers $38 billion. Okay, let's just point out that that makes the overall Iran war about 0.51% of the total federal budget. It's only about 3.6% of the annual defense budget. So again, these are not major numbers, at least in percentage terms. None of that is to make light of the cost of oil, which of course is a major political issue. It's why Iran is doing this. Iran is doing this because they hope that by spiking the price of oil, we'll get a bunch of Democrats in power, and the Democrats will then surrender to the Iranians, and we'll go back to status quo ante, except that Iran will clearly control all of the Strait of Hormuz, as well as the Bab al-Mandib Strait, and rebuild the Ring of Fire, the so-called Ring of Fire, around Israel. That is what Iran wants out of all of this. President Trump is not allowing that to happen. Which is just one reason why the Trump administration is now preparing a multi-billion dollar sale of 2,000 pound bombs to Israel, because Israel is the only ally in the region that is worth its salt, capable of defending itself and others. It is why the Saudis are now begging for Israeli help. That $2.8 billion package, which would be purchased with U.S. taxpayer dollars, again, it's just a sponsorship program for the U.S. defense mechanism. That's what USAID is. We give aid to Israel, Israel then spends all of that aid back on American defense, including 40,000 bombs that weigh 2,000 pounds each, including 20,000 MK-84s and 20,000 BLU-117s. So, the transaction is financed through foreign military financing. Now, there are a bunch of people who are claiming that this is just terrible. Of course, Tucker Carlson, who spends virtually all day, every day, just thinking about Israel. For an America First guy, it's pretty, astonishing how little he thinks about America. But he has a long, long, long post in which he essentially argues that we are transferring nuclear weaponry to Israel. Israel already has nuclear weaponry. He says this amounts to 40,000 tons of bombs. For perspective, the largest American air raid of World War Two was the Air Force's attack on Berlin in March of 1945. Combined, the 2020 the 2023 Allied aircraft involved dropped about 3000 tons of bombs, which is 7.5 percent of what Trump is sending to Israel. So first of all, the bombs are not built the same. The bombs that we have today, we say a 2000 pound bomb doesn't mean 2000 pounds of explosive. It's mostly steel. But put that aside. This is for stockpiling. That is the purpose. President Trump understands that the Democratic Party at some point in the future is likely to cut off arms for Israel, which means we won't have an ally that can actually do anything in the region. The Saudis aren't going to do bleep. The Turks are not our allies. Trump understands that, which is why this is happening in the first place. And then, of course, Tucker Carlson suggests that the government of Israel doesn't require 2000 pound bombs, which is kind of astonishing because, again, the point of a 2000 pound bomb is to crater a building. Why would Israel need to crater buildings? I don't know. Maybe it's because Hamas built tunnels larger than the London underground in the Gaza Strip. And also because Israel does not wish to go house to house in one of the heavily most heavily populated urban environments on planet Earth. And so what they've been doing is evacuating places and then blowing up the buildings so fighters cannot take refuge in the buildings. But again, bottom line is this. In the region, if you are talking about American allies work their soul, you know, Tucker is traveling over to Saudi, traveling over to Qatar, traveling over to all these countries that literally cannot defend themselves and will not defend themselves and require continuous American defense. But he is very, very much upset with the idea that Israel, which is now being called on, by the way, to not only fly alongside the United States against Iran, but now being called on by the Saudis to help defend against the Houthis, that somehow depriving them of weaponry is the answer. Genius level stuff, as always, from people who stand for Abdul El-Sayed and Vladimir Putin and the Chinese and every other nefarious regime in person on planet Earth. We'll get to more on this in a moment. First, fantasy football season is underway. That means millions of Americans are spending hours in front of the TV studying and memorizing the game stats of athletes they've never met. People treat setting their weekly fancy lineup like it's a matter of national importance. Check. The updates preparing the possibilities, reacting to an injury report as though it came directly from the Pentagon. Planning for contingencies is very important. Well, that should matter even more when we're talking about, you know, the ultimate contingency. God forbid you plots what happens to your family's finances. So Scott Besson was testifying yesterday before Congress. And a bunch of protesters decided to get up and shout at him, as per our usual arrangement. Hmm. Sanctions kill Cubans. OK, so it's not just about Iran. It's also Cuba.
Speaker 7For decades, multilateral forums like the G20 accumulated sprawling agendas while losing sight of the. I'm sorry, Mr. Secretary, we want to hear what you have to say. Under President Trump,
Speaker 10we are getting back to basics. Growth is the condition. Mr. Secretary, this is bad.
Speaker 1No more. OK, it's all these clowns. These clown shows. Ridiculous. Code Pink was shouting at all of us. He left because this is what Code Pink does. I mean, I've testified and had Code Pink
Speaker 2shout at me. So, I mean, nothing new here. Scott Besson, you are a murderer. You are a murderer. People in Cuba are dying because you are waging economic warfare against children, against mothers, for no reason other than enriching your pockets. The American people know exactly what you are doing each and every day, killing and murdering Iranians and Cubans for nothing.
Speaker 1The useful idiots, useful idiots who would who would march alongside the very people who would end up killing them. Just the genius level stuff, of course. Well, speaking of genius level stuff, Thomas Massey, who somehow lost a Kentucky House seat because he decided to campaign about how Israel was bad in a in a congressional district in which there are 500 Jews total. Thomas Massey, who is still kind of hanging around like the ghost of Christmas past in Congress because he's out come January. He's totally irrelevant unless he's hanging out at a cabin in Maine with Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, a convocation of the great intellects of our time. Well, yesterday he decided to introduce articles of impeachment for Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. You notice he's not doing it for Trump. He's doing it for Hegseth, of course, of course, doesn't have the courage to do it for Trump because he gets slapped down. So he's going after the Secretary of Defense instead. Impeaching Peter Brian Hegseth,
Speaker 11Secretary of Defense for high crimes and misdemeanors, resolved that Peter Brian Hegseth, Secretary of Defense, also referred to as Secretary of War by the administration, is impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors and that the following articles of impeachment be exhibited to the United States Senate, articles of impeachment exhibited by the House of Representatives of the United States of America in the name of itself and of the people of the United States of America against Peter Brian Hegseth, Secretary of Defense, in maintenance and support of its impeachment against him for high crimes and misdemeanors.
Speaker 1So what are these supposed grounds of impeachment? First, with respect to the United States armed forces being entered into hostilities in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Secretary Hegseth directed and caused the United States armed forces forces to be introduced into hostilities against the Islamic Republic of Iran, notwithstanding the Congress had not declared war. Congress had not enacted any specific statutory authority for the introduction of the U.S. armed forces into hostilities and no national emergency had been created by an attack by the Islamic Republic of Iran on the United States. So by these standards, by. By the way, every single secretary of defense since basically World War Two could be impeached under this particular standard. And then he quotes the resignation letter of Joe Kent, fellow ambulatory psychotic. Who has been wandering the wilds, claiming, of course, that President Trump is the tool of the Israelis or some such. You know who agrees with this? It's all about the Benjamins lady herself, Ilhan Omar, who agrees that Hegseth should be impeached. Under his watch, the U.S. has waged illegal wars, ignored laws designed to protect civilians and carried out extrajudicial killings. He's grossly unfit to lead the Department of Defense. Well, I mean, one thing you can say about him is he never married a sibling. So there's that. Also never wrote a letter in defense of a person who tried to join ISIS. There's that as well. The attorney general, Todd Blanche, was asked about Thomas Massey's grandstanding, and his eyes could not have possibly rolled harder. If they rolled any harder, they would have fallen out of his ears.
Speaker 12He introduced articles of impeachment against Secretary Hegseth. Who did? Thomas Massey. Oh, OK. For allegedly violating the war powers.
Speaker 1Todd Blanche is like, who? Who? What now? And meanwhile, the alliance between those who hate America and her role in the world and those who wish to subvert the American economy remains undefeated. It is not a shock to watch all the grifters come together. They're the power rangers of uselessness. This brings us to Bernie Sanders and Steve Bannon. OK, so I should just point out at this point that these two are two grifters in a pod. Steve Bannon has always been a parasite who ends up destroying the host. Steve Bannon literally started his sort of modern political career by making a documentary about Michelle Bachman, which he then used as it. No one watched it. He uses a calling card to make a documentary about Sarah Palin, which also no one really watched. And then he made a documentary about Andrew Breitbart. And Andrew died shortly thereafter. And Bannon was hanging around the Breitbart offices. I happen to know this because I was there at the time. And Larry Solove, who is the head of Breitbart and Andrew's co-partner, decided to elevate Bannon to the presidency of Breitbart over the objections of some who were there. And Bannon then proceeded to turn it into his personal platform so he could launch himself into Trump's orbit. He became chief of staff and then the president fired him as sloppy Steve. He has also spent his career when he is not trying to live off the fame and fortune of others. Sloppy Steve is totally right. I mean, that dude wears more shirts than are available at your local. Salvation Army. And he also probably gets them at the Salvation Army. He has spent his modern career grifting from grift to grift. Here he was just a few years back claiming that he was going to privately finance the building of a wall along our southern border, which, you know, never really happened so much.
Speaker 13And it's certainly a solution for law and order. It's certainly a solution for security. And it's helping the people in Juarez. It's helping the citizens of northern Mexico and Central America because it's the first step to break. the backs of the cartels well
Speaker 1As it turns out, the money that was going to rebuild the wall did not end up rebuilding the wall. It ended up rebuilding a yacht. According to an indictment against Bannon in 2020, We Build the Wall started as a GoFundMe campaign in 2018. It was created to help raise money from the public to go directly toward building the U.S.-Mexico border wall. Acting U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss confirmed that Bannon was arrested while aboard a 150-foot yacht in Long Island Sound with assistance from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. He entered a guilty plea in Manhattan court in February 2025 for one count of scheming to defraud in the first degree. And then, of course, he started yet another scam movement in which he joined with arrested billionaire Miles Guo to supposedly pitch a replacement Chinese regime. Just rube bait, man.
Speaker 14The declaration of the new federal state of China on 4 June 2020 in Beijing. Listen. Listen to the preface. It is the whistleblowers' movement that has brought us together in order to realize the rule of law, democracy, and freedom in the new federal state of China. The free Chinese throughout the world and in China have established the Himalaya Supervising Organization. During the past three years, Mr. Miles Guo and myself have founded and led the whistleblowers' movement that exposed the illegitimacy and the true evil nature of the Chinese government. of the Chinese Communist Party and its deceptions.
Speaker 1Well, as it turns out, speaking of deception, in March 2023, the FBI arrested Miles Guo in his Manhattan penthouse on nine criminal counts, including racketeering, wire fraud, securities fraud, and money laundering. So instead of overthrowing the CCP, you know, like the Communist Party of China, Guo duped his followers into investing in sham ventures and then used the money to buy himself a $47 million yacht at a New Jersey mansion and sports car. And this past June, he was sentenced to 30 years in prison in order to forfeit some $889 million. So that's who Steve Bannon is, that kind of dude, that guy. And, you know, Steve has to maintain relevance since he cannot maintain a normal length of haircut. And so he showed up wearing his usual layers. It's a peculiar layering strategy as survivalist outside of his basement. And he showed up. He showed up to do an event with Bernie Sanders, a fellow useless person. And what they have in common is they are both parasites. Bernie has leeched onto public sources of funding. Steve has leeched onto private sources of funding, both parasites. And they are both showing up to yell about AI. And so Steve Bannon shows up alongside Bernie Sanders to talk about how the AI oligarchs are going to kill all of us and we just need to stop the development. Because populism, gang, populism.
Speaker 15In the last 72 hours, they've come out and said, you know, you're correct. We actually should have some sort of framework. Okay? And, you know, and maybe you have a human checking in on us every now and again. They've tried to cover up the danger by saying it's a PSYOP, but using the PSYOP to try to get off liabilities. What they want, is to socialize all the risk with the American people, including potential bailouts, when they come, and they want to keep all the upside.
Speaker 1Um, so, this guy. This one. A person who is a leech. Well, he is joining fellow leech Bernie Sanders to also the pro-human assembly. I can't think of pro-human, people who are less pro-human than Steve Bannon. And Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders. They stand for every terrible communist regime on planet Earth for the vast majority of his career. And Steve Bannon, who is an itinerant derelict. I mean, my goodness. Here's Bernie Sanders saying that he is proposing legislation to require that half of the board members of AI companies be appointed by the government. Because this is what you need. You need an old man who doesn't know what a computer is to tell you how to run the AI companies.
Speaker 16That is why I have introduced legislation with the AI. American Sovereign Wealth Fund Act that would require that half of the board members of AI companies, the larger AI companies, be appointed by the public.
Speaker 1So, um, yeah. That clip, by the way, was provided by our excellent reporter over at Daily Wire, Brecca Stoll. Again, another reason to support us. We have great investigative reporters. So, here's a funny stat for you. Right now, the Republicans are getting clocked in the midterm election polling. Right, clocked. They're down by seven, eight points in the generic congressional ballot. They're down by seven, eight points in the generic congressional ballot. With that said, the level of antipathy to Republicans varies issue to issue. There is really only one issue, actually, where Republicans have the full-scale upper hand. One. AI. On AI, Republicans are up 40 to 40. Why? Because it turns out that maybe the people who are too online are not reflective of the reality, which is that the vast majority of Americans now use AI in their daily lives. Yes, there is justifiable, understandable fear. On all of this. But, that shutting it all down in Bernie style is incredibly stupid. So, Bernie was asked by CBS about whether he even knows enough to regulate AI. And he says, you know who we should listen to? We should listen to the AI head. So, let me just get this straight. You're very upset with AI and you want to shut it down. The only people you will trust to shut it down are the people who run it. We call this regulatory capture, gang. Here's Bernie Sanders.
Speaker 16I hope that they understand. I mean, not everybody has to be a Nobel winning scientist. But, I hope that they understand that you've got to listen to the people who know the most. The people who have developed this technology. The people who are telling us, we are losing control of the technology we developed. And I think when you have a president, Mr. Trump, who talks about this as a hoax, I think it is embarrassingly stupid for the leader of this country to hold that position. You listen to the people who know the most, and you act accordingly.
Speaker 1Again, the people who know the most are in wild disagreement over all of this. Kamala Harris, of course, decided to join the party as well. She now wants to slow down too. Quote, the frontier of artificial intelligence is aimed and is advancing at alarming speed. Over the weekend, industry leaders voiced support for an idea. The American people and many AI researchers in their own labs have been calling for, you must responsibly slow the pace of, frontier AI development. And then she calls for cooperation at an international level because China is going to help us out. I mean, I trust her to help write the regulations or to preside over an America in which regulation is done because she knows AI so well. Here she was in July, 2023, explaining AI.
Speaker 17And I think the first part of this issue that should be articulated is AI is kind of a fancy thing. It's first of all, it's two letters. It means artificial intelligence. But ultimately what it is, is it's about machine learning. And so the machine is taught. And part of the issue here is what information is going into the machine that will then determine, and we can predict then, if we think about what information is going in, what then will be produced in terms of decisions and opinions that may be made through that process.
Speaker 1That lady was almost president. She was almost president. And she might be, she's going to run again, which we'll get to in just a moment. I mean, she really wants to run again. Here's the difference. You might think that President Trump is not smart enough to regulate AI. Cool, he doesn't want to. She wants to regulate it. And now Chris Coons is doing the same exact thing. Here is Chris Coons, the senator from Delaware, saying that we can't miss this. We can't miss this opportunity. Like, do we have a chance to regulate? Let's do it, gang.
Speaker 18Well, I'm old enough to remember the world before the internet and the years that it took, literally decades for the internet and the World Wide Web and smartphones to transform our economy and society. And Congress did not do a good enough job at regulating social media. We cannot afford to miss this moment. And when we've got all the major leaders of the biggest AI companies in unison saying, we need to slow down, we need some bigger guardrails, we need some protections because this could be a threat to humanity, we deserve a president who recognizes this moment.
Speaker 1Recognizes it. Thanks, Mr. Magoo. Appreciate it. Meanwhile, all of the big companies are really excited about colluding. OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic are discussing collaboration on safety. They are competitors who are all invested in one another. So great, monopoly, and collusion, and regulatory capture. How could it possibly go wrong? There's a point being made by Treasury Secretary Scott Pesant. He says, you know, it'd be good, open models, because open models prevent the collusion.
Speaker 7We need to develop more of an open source, more open source models in the U.S. We can't let these large labs have regulatory capture because that will stop innovation. One of the ways we can push back against China because the Chinese models, you know, they distill from the U.S. models, which is a polite scientific word for steel. And the more we develop our own open source models here or open models here, then the we will be able to eventually the Chinese models, people will not use them. Because, again, you know, you are seeing in many of the Chinese models, many of the Chinese models think they're mythos. That's right. That's right. They think they're Claude.
Speaker 1OK, you know, this is correct. OK, now back to Kamala Harris for a moment. Weirdly, Gavin Newsom went fishing with Jake Tapper, which was weird. It was weird because Gavin Newsom fishing is an unnatural sign. Most of Gavin Newsom is kind of unnatural. He's kind of a lizard person in a human body. And Jake asks Gavin whether he would run for president if Kamala runs. And Gavin Newsom immediately says no. Now, I don't know if he has some inside information. He thinks that Kamala is not going to run. She's for sure going to run, by the way. Or if he's just looking at the polls and realizing he's got nothing. Also, he can always walk this back tomorrow. The weirdest part of this video is Gavin Newsom fly fishing and apparently never casting. It's hard for him to cast because he could not. There were no flies left since as a lizard person, he'd eaten them all. Here's the clip.
Speaker 3It's a lot of Democrats. 31 flavors. You're not even the only Californian. No, right. You got Ro Khanna. Yeah. Kamala. Yeah.
Speaker 19I don't know if she runs, but we'll see. I know she's called around. Yeah.
Speaker 3But I wouldn't run if she ran. If she runs, you will not. Of course not. Why would I?
Speaker 19I wouldn't do that to her. I wouldn't do it to me. Why would I? I wouldn't do that to you. I wouldn't waste everyone's time. Who needs that? What do you mean? That doesn't even make sense to me. I just, I wouldn't. No, I wouldn't.
Speaker 1Dan Jones actually explained this the other night on CNN. He said that he's known both of these players for a while and they just refuse to run against each other. I'm not sure why that is, but I, you know, listen, if Gavin Newsom believes that he could win the presidency, he would do it. But the reality is if he runs against Kamala Harris in South Carolina, he gets skunk. And he knows that as well. But he's also doing the populist routine. Gavin Newsom, he's saying that capitalism isn't working. We need to democratize our economy, just like you've done such a wonderful job in California of democratizing the economy into major firms leaving.
Speaker 19This issue around democracy and the issue of around democratizing our economy to me are the same issue. And it's foundational at this moment. Capitalism as we know it, and I'm not arguing for nostalgia and I'm not arguing for socialism, but I'm not arguing for capitalism as we know it.
Speaker 1It's just not working. It's just not working. You need a third way, is what Gavin Newsom says. You know, the kind of third way where you can shut down the entire economy and you get the French laundry. You can have gigantic basements filled with wine. Now that kind of, that kind of third way. Okay. So here's the thing. Capitalism is in fact working. One reason why companies like our sponsors over at PureTalk are able to provide so many of you with insanely good coverage at an excellent price, visit puretalk.com/shapiro and receive 50% off that initial month. And with unlimited high-speed data at only $34.99 per month, the total savings start to really add up more than 120,000 wireless customers. If you agree, head on over to puretalk.com/shapiro and get half off that first month. That's puretalk.com/shapiro. Experience the difference for yourself. Again, this is how capitalism works. Okay. But the Democrats are not in favor of the capitalism. Which is why Wes Moore, who's sort of a stealth Democratic candidate, there's some skepticism about Wes Moore because he has made a habit of telling fibs about his military service, among other things. Well, Wes Moore, the governor of Maryland, again, he is trying to run for president, probably. He said he will not. That's not true. And he is now refusing to denounce DSA policies.
Speaker 20Some people that have, I'm not going to go into some of the policies because you, you, you, I'm not going to make you, you know, respond to defunding the police or getting rid of the presidency or, you know, abolishing the Senate or getting rid of prisons or open borders. I did it again, Cicero. I said I'm not going to go into them. You're doing it. One, like John Fetterman, he's like a voice in the wilderness of the Democratic Party who's got enough intestinal fortitude to buck trends. I mean, Chuck Schumer is the, is the head of the Senate, won't say a word about any of this stuff. Well, I told you that what the middle. Lane is wide open for you, Governor. It's wide open, wide open. Take it. No, but I think because the reason is because I focus on results. This is another way of deflecting whether you disagree with these crazy. The essay was like.
Speaker 1Well, yes, it is, in fact, another way of deflecting that, but again, it's because the crazies are in charge of the party, including in Chicago. It is truly amazing how Democrats can run cities into the absolute ground and then get reelected. So Brandon Johnson. It was a horror show. His approval rating is below the approval rating for certain forms of colon cancer. Well, he announced on Sunday that he is running for reelection. He went to a rally. He said, My name is Brandon Johnson. I'm running for reelection to the greatest freaking city in the world, Chicago. Yeah. And then he said his North Star is working for the many and not the few. And then he danced with his staff in the most awkward possible way. I'm begging you to shut down the tech talk dances until someone can figure out what the hell is going on. Shut it all down. No, this is not good. This is bad. This is very, very bad. Well, you thought that was gay. James Tallarico is out there answering questions and he's answering some of these questions a little too fast. So he was asked who his favorite drag queen is now. I don't know about you. I do not have a favorite drag queen. I do not. I think I would go with ninety nine point eight percent of the population of America does not have a favorite drag queen. And even if an American had been to a drag show, which, again, is a vanishingly small percentage of population, they might still not have a favorite drag queen that they could, you know, just pull out of their head at a moment's notice. But James Tallarico can pull the names of drag queens out of his head as though he is naming the batting average leaders in the 1950s as like a child. Living in Chicago in 1963. I mean, like. He cites to drag queens the way that normal men cite to fantasy football statistics. Here is James Tallarico being answered, being asked his favorite drag queen, and look how fast he comes up with the name.
Speaker 21Mr. Tallarico, so nice to meet you. Sorry for being there when you defended the drag. Who's your favorite drag queen in Texas? Oh, my God. Probably Alyssa Edwards. Alyssa Edwards? I love Marquise Mays. Thank you so much. Thank you.
Speaker 1He came up with that in zero seconds flat. Zero seconds. Like the same way that if someone would ask my favorite baseball team, I would just say the White Sox. He didn't even have to think about that, like at all. Why did he not have to think about that? That's so weird. Texas, I'm asking you, I'm begging you to think. Think for just a hot second. I don't care what you think about Ken Paxton. Are you looking for a senator? Who can name, within milliseconds, his favorite drag queen? Is that a thing that you are desperate to have in the United States Senate? I mean, I understand that he campaigns on the differences between tops and bottoms. But I think that we should probably just put a pause on this campaign until we can figure out why he knows the names of drag queens that quickly. By the way, Alyssa Edwards, the drag queen that he cites, spoke out in 2022 against banning Drag Queen. I don't know if you've heard of her. I don't know if you've heard of her. I don't know if you've heard of her. I don't know if you've ever heard of her. I don't know if you've heard of her. I don't know if you've ever heard of her. I don't know if you've ever heard of her. I don't know if you've ever heard of her. I don't know if you've ever heard of her. I don't know if you've ever heard of her. I don't know if you've ever heard of her. I don't know if you've ever heard of her. I don't know if you've ever heard of her. I don't know if you've ever heard of her. I don't know if you've ever heard of her. I don't know if you've ever heard of her. I don't know if you've ever heard of her. of those people was Robert Kraft. I was also involved in direct talks with promoters along with activists on both sides to try to find a mutual resolution for all, but the venues and promoters' decision was final. Macklemore coming off tour was the promoter's decision, not mine. Macklemore's contract was with the promoter, not me. Those who have been to my shows will know they're about unity, joy, escapism, love, and a place for everyone to feel welcome. I am not complicit. I have my personal views on this devastating conflict. Just because I choose not to speak publicly, it doesn't mean I don't have them, and it doesn't mean I don't care, nor does it mean I don't support causes in my own personal way. There's a reason I do not use my professional platform for my politics. My audience includes young people, often children of all backgrounds. Those who come to my shows do not expect a political forum. There's room for multiple approaches to the same end piece. I choose to use my family platform to be a place of safety and sanctuary. So that statement set off just a firestorm because Ed Sheeran basically blamed the promoter for getting rid of Macklemore and then said, listen, my job is not to do politics, which of course is what he should say. In fact, I would venture to say that Ed Sheeran's big mistake was blaming the promoter, but he probably should have said before Robert Kraft even had a chance to Ed Sheeran should have said, we're not doing politics on this tour. I don't care whether you're pro-Israel or whether you're pro-Khomas. We're just not doing politics on this tour. I don't do politics. If you get out there and you use my stage and my fame and my name in order to promote your own politics, the answer is no, you leave. Ed Sheeran should have done that and it would have been fine. And it probably still will be fine for Ed Sheeran because despite all of the yelling about Ed Sheeran, he's a very popular musician, but people are going nuts, including his obscure supporting mates. According to Rolling Stone, all of Ed Sheeran's openers are now abandoning the tour. Phineas, the singer-songwriter best known for his work with his sister, Billie Eilish, which means he's not famous on his own, no one's heard of him, will no longer open for Sheeran on the upcoming South American leg of the loop tour. Additionally, two other openers for the U.S. leg, Danish pop artist Lucas Graham and Irish singer-songwriter Aaron Rowe announced they would not partake in the rest of the U.S. leg. You know what? Good. I hope that they become more obscure because I had never heard of them until literally this very moment reading their names and probably neither had you. That's why they're opening act. Ocasio-Cortez, of course, said this is about elite censorship. I don't know. Does Robert Kraft have to open his forum to people spewing anti-Semitic vial? Is that a thing he has to do? Here is AOC. She's upset. She's not going to go to an Ed Sheeran concert anymore. Probably he'll
Speaker 22go bankrupt or not, or he'll still sell out. What has happened with the act and not just in removing Macklemore from the lineup, but when you see what Robert Kraft did to line up all of the one specific way, it's become clear that this is not just about one music artist or two music artists, but this is about how just a handful of stadium owners and the elite can prevent an entire massive issue, in this case the genocide in Gaza. But it doesn't stop there. It could be speaking out about AI. It could be speaking out about any issue that you can now just get a handful of stadium owners to ensure that an entire person's career can be jeopardized if they speak out about
Speaker 1any issue. Again, once again, AOC is a fellow traveler with all the pro-jihadi crew in Congress. This is what she does. There is no genocide in Gaza by any stretch of the definition of the word genocide. Genocide doesn't mean a thing you don't like. Naturally, Mehdi Hassan suggested this is interesting. Insane. The so-called land of the free. Again, people who hate our actual values in the United States like Mehdi Hassan will come here and then use our values against us. This is insane. The so-called land of the free. I wasn't aware that Macklemore doesn't have the ability to speak to literally every outlet, which is what he's doing right now. Flashback to 2015, Mehdi Hassan was saying offensive speech carries responsibility. So yeah, there's that. All right. Well, the one who gets this right is the Goo Goo Dolls frontman, John Resnick. Here's what he had to say about all of this.
Speaker 9That's why I think live music is amazing. Because it's like I got people, fans from every walk of life, every political stripe, everything. And I always stress, we got one thing in common, because we're living in weird times. We got one thing in common, and that's we're all here to see a show. And I'm not going to lecture you people about anything. I'm going to play a bunch of songs that you know, and we're all going to leave here and we're going to be happier and better for it. That's it. You're here. Yeah. And it's like, I don't give a shit who you voted for. I don't care where you go to church. You know, it's like, we all got one thing in common. That's a start.
Speaker 1Again, this should be pretty basic stuff. The fact that this is even in doubt is kind of insane. The best thing Ed Sheeran should do and should have done here, never, first of all, don't trust your politically oriented friends to not stab you directly in the back. This is not Ed Sheeran stabbing Malcolm Moore. This is Malcolm Moore using Ed Sheeran's fame and fortune in order to promote his own politics and become culturally relevant again. For a hot second. That's all that's happening here. The cynical player here is Malcolm Moore, not Ed Sheeran. Alrighty, coming up, we're going to get to a new series on Netflix. Some people are calling it immoral and terrible. We'll get to that in a moment. Plus, Mitch McConnell showed up at the Capitol for the first time in three months.
