Ep.222: The GAA Catfish

This episode of the 2 Johnnies podcast covers a range of stories before diving into its main subject. It begins with listener correspondence about traumatic childhood incidents, including a brother burning a Barbie doll, and creative methods for smuggling alcohol into concerts. A listener named Keith shares how his girlfriend Samantha saved an elderly woman's life before attending the 3Arena show. The hosts also discuss mentalist Keith Barry's incredible predictions, which included newspaper headlines and a car warning that came true. The centrepiece is Johnny B's story of being catfished by a woman named Cora Donovan from Limerick. After matching on Instagram, they chatted for weeks, but Cora repeatedly cancelled their meet-ups with excuses including a dead aunt, COVID-19 isolation, and a sister's accident. Johnny B eventually discovered Cora was a fake profile created by Nikki, a housemate who was also a podcast fan. A well-known GAA player confirmed he had been catfished by the same person for over a year without ever meeting her. The episode ends with a discussion on environmental psychology and why people have favourite spots, plus plugs and sports updates.

Okay now this is good T read often David? Yeah. Okay. And on strippers and the previous podcast, Aaron says listen. Your podcast today. I can confirm the naked barmaids in Australia, are a real thing. 2:35 They came in every Thursday from 4 to 9, it varies obviously from each pair and they are called skim piece the tradies and especially the Irish Lads. Loved him, was always great nights when they were in the bar. Love the podcast from Iron. There You Go. Topless bandmates in Australia and Australian, just put an he's under the end of anything or an all the off license is the bottle tradies, that's like yeah, Tradesmen, yeah. 3:00 Unforgettable Childhood Scares: Barbie and Car Incidents Salvation Army is come around to the Pub's selling like raffle tickets and they were desalvo. How far do you reckon Australia behind us or how far ahead of us? The short words do not have time to crack. These are too busy. No, l wasn't. Oh, she says Lads on the topic of siblings. 3:15 Just one particular story that stands out from my early years growing up with two factors of older, brothers. Of course, there was the standard random and unprovoked beaton's along with the taunts of being adopted. I'm not, I think she says but there was a Are bit of psychological Terror to say that this is that the classic insult for a brother were adopted your adopt? 3:36 Yeah. It's not as bad as they know. I'm not. But then you start wondering. Yeah. Then you didn't have to run away from the big rigmarole. Anyways, this is Noel to set the scene as well five or six at the time and had gotten a brand new Barbie. It was a replica of your one Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame one day I was called out at the bottom of the garden by my brother, David to the site of poo. 4:00 Esmerelda tied to a lot of sticks and grass would fire later under. He then proceeded to flick a match on to the Heap burning Esmeralda at the stake. Like in the movie true dat ears and screams I watch poor Esmeralda met. All the wildest sociopath that is my brother laughed away. 4:18 Unfortunately this was not the only traumatic death of a Barbie in our house. R.I.P to several other dolls who the two of them tortured in attempts to scar me for life. They succeeded PS since being All doubt on a previous podcast. I now, tell people. I'm from Mullingar, count. 4:33 U.s. meat, instead of just Mullingar, County, Mullingar, County, Mullingar and Noel's brothers, are now a serving life sentences in jail for being absolute weapons. Allegedly, that's for scary, isn't it? I mean, I'll be honest if you got someone in to look at that and and like, you know, Engage The Upper hip burn. 4:54 The Powerbeats take lat waiting for her to get there before I do that. I'm gonna wait and watch your Going to watch her Burn. Yeah, he's definitely a CEO on. Oh yeah, he's definitely a business. Might agree. Correspondence know what, cardi wasn't touched and a couple of years ago. My mother was driving along the road and the Summer with the windows down my brother and sister in the back seat and I'm water was coming up some Road Works in meal and Village, which is the highest Village in Ireland, by the way, we should come and visit sometime to know me. 5:20 Even, I don't know. 10:00, it's an absolute Midland or but it's probably close to can't talk. That's about as close as I can give you anything. Yeah. Council worker had a lollipop stick out and he stopped my mother in the car and she stuck her head out. The window wondering what the whole of us. 5:37 The council worker had to tell my mother that my youngest brother had fallen out the window or the car, two miles back to Roy. And he was after being walkie-talkie from the other Council workers. Tell him about the young lad. After falling out the window, my sister had been in the back with him and hadn't said a word about it. 5:53 To my motor, my mother had to turn the car around, go back to Road, pick up my brother from the middle of the road and spent the rest of the You can open you see H which is the hospital with my brother being questioned and interviewed by Social Services on. No, thankfully not in camera and he was Grand despite falling out the back of a Land Cruiser, my mother's heavy boot lifting back to Country Road or doesn't kill you makes you stronger. 6:15 Ingenious Methods for Sneaking Drinks into Gigs I guess we laugh about it now but I'm still convinced my sister pushed him out the window with we've a lot of evil siblings around that's out there and I heard a top answer. Imagine your butter is leaving out the window and have them tracking. You just tip him out saying on seems cool. This is Say that Jerrod early but was he loves, Tiara is obviously like, you know, not injured, but the Nick fell out the window. 6:34 God, I didn't even know what a smart, brilliant, hot story at we're talking about smuggling drink in two gigs and stuff like that. Yeah, not internationally. Yeah, just in concert or cross the border at like that, not like that. Just smuggling into gigs. Nice, innocent smuggling Laura email. 6:51 She says, a gang of us were going to slay and CE feu Fighters and I won't be fun to be here. So I needed to smuggle in some vodka and Captain Morgan from it for himself. But it didn't know how would I manage this with security? This is when I got creative, our workers care assistant and one of the girls and work joked and said you should use a leg bag, okay? 7:11 So that's when a person has a catheter it's connected to a leg bag, that's where the urine goes. And then there's a tap at the end of the leg bag so you can empty it. So you appease straight into this little bag of fluid will drain it out. Yeah, kind of. Yeah, it's trapped inside of your thigh saw. I brought to leg bags with me and then I was faced with the task of trying to empty a vodka bag. 7:29 Into a leg back leg bag that has a tiny little tube. We were on a campervan, so I got an old kettle, the type you put on a gas gas, Harbin boil. And I tediously pour the alcohol in the boat legs and tied a knot in the top. I then proceeded to use velcro straps to strap the leg, back to my leg. 7:48 And now my husband's leg, then we walked up to the gates. The leg bags were slipping down, so we were both walking with a limp, we got in, no butter and and then went to where the minerals were being sold. A couple of bottles of cork, then we found a spot. I lifted up my jeans and proceeded to fill the cups with Captain Morgan had to open the tap and fill the cups. 8:09 The look of horror on bystanders faces as the Todd. I was pouring its entire cups to drink those bastards at the concerts, always take the lids off the wall decor, but I would not be better. I brought my own caps. So on the extra bottles of cork, I put on the caps and voila, we had her own portable bear with us, bringing your own bottle caps is next Left that's prepping, that's cheering Evil Genius that are like oh that's what I thought was over handiness that he opened the box for you when you got on. 8:38 Also, if you because if the bottles cause you could throw it up and stage and hit someone, all right, a little net that never even entered my mind. Yeah. When I was at Lincoln Park, they were supporting metallic a years ago and at the time they weren't having that one on and all the lads. Look, I'm here from Tariq or not Lincoln Park and the amount of stuff thrown at Lincoln Park Press. 8:54 He told us. He got hit by a big lump of clay. Once a key, you win some, you Steven wasn't touch myself in the missus, got a lot of gigs and we've always had two ways of small girl and drink. Number one outdoor summer gig get the biggest bottle of sun cream, you have empty it out, clean it out, and fill it with whatever spiritual wanted always works. 9:18 That's something else. You could get a one-liter bottles on Green Light, No One checks gonna check number two, don't fairness. Like that's pretty big. Like a one-liter bottles of what handbag but you could get away with it. Number two this one works board outdoor and indoor Geeks get a packet of water wipes. 9:35 I mean, wet wipes, baby, wipes over column. Yeah take out half the packet, fill up a hip flask and put it back into the packet. Stick a few wipes back on top and you get to any Security check. This is Believe more. If you were going to a gig and you had a handbag and had baby wipes in it, do they pick it up to the fetus? 9:55 Normally you just look in your bag. Know what we used to do, was I put tampons and top of where you had to drink. So glad you just below. Yeah, they wouldn't go near that. They're like. Yep, there's your handbag back. Okay, so let the last few gigs over that. Now I think I went merrily power, no one checked you up moves more, check my handbag know any other bag like and you thought Linda just have quick peek in like the might ruffler handbook. 10:18 Major. They don't do go through it, fine to call the will. Now after hearing this loyal said, even let's just listen to the podcast from today talking about ways to how you drink. I was at a stag do at a tree Day Festival that didn't allow you to bring any drink into the campsite either. That's a terrible idea. 10:34 So the group got creative I injected 24 cans of Bongo with the strongest vodka. I could find leaving the file seals intact on top and a ready to drink cocktail another lad removed inside of A baguette. It's took a bottle of gin inside. 10:51 Also, believe a couple of sacrificial cans. Easy to find in your bag. This security, usually don't look any further psychology. This red herring, a red herring. So I went on a bit of a YouTube rabbit hole and I've seen people in what they do is they get a carton or even like a Capri-Sun capsule. 11:07 Yeah. And you inject in the bottom and then you can dip it off, really? Really good. Clear tape across the bottom and it most of the time people don't check it. I'd be afraid that it will burst. Yeah. And if you've got a code about how that blanket, if you've got a cat in a bun Bongo and you want to inject a lot of ogre, you've obviously got to let out a certain amount of one Bongo which is a Juice drink. 11:32 I never seen it on sale Nolan, but you can get it seemed got to make it stop a little hole. Let out a certain amount of juice injecting the Vodka tear but up and then pray, you've got really good tip or all your gear is destroyed. Yeah, the best idea I've seen so far. 11:47 It's probably the sun cream that's leading. This leading the way for me. You're my new hollowed out. The baguette has a fair Troopers. 11:53 Terrifying Seagulls and a Heroic Act at the 3Arena Well, that wasn't a joke laughs. Yeah, because, again, you're not gonna get violent intent normal role, you get full, but Brandon's, bread loaf. And then at like, a hole saw that is true. L. Smirnoff down into your brains break go on. 12:10 Anyway, it's Gaston waves, are you bringing the full loaf of bread into like it sounds The Foo Fighters I'm from the country on phobias. We did a podcast before B, has a little while ago, Angie email in, see it had to write in about my bird for beer and even writing that down makes my skin crawl. 12:26 My phobia started when I was in Florida on holiday with my ex we were fighting at the time. I was sitting out in the balcony, while he was pretending to be sleeping on the bed mind, my own business, a guy, a few floors above started, throwing the seagulls chips. I'm assuming that's crisps. 12:42 I guess. Now, if you have ever seen seagulls in America, they're like Toddlers. And their fucking massive always. Okay. Aunt. One landed on the rail and of my balcony and New York squawked at me, angrily, I told him to fuck off and went back to playing cards. 12:57 He flew away but obviously told all his mates and they all came back and started swooping in and out of the balcony, I began screaming and waving my arms, they eventually stopped all was Grand for a few minutes until one return sat on the rail and angrily squawking. Looked at me and began getting closer. 13:14 He jumped down onto the order chair. This lad was staring at me with evil eyes. I got really scared and decided to get under the glass table. Oh, no, big mistake. I started the show from my ex but he continued to pretend to be asleep and he ignored me the seagull then jumped on the glass table and started pecking and squawking at me. 13:34 I was asking myself shit. How do I go? This one I had to pick the table up and head back and crawl over to the slide. And or all the way the seagull is still pecking at the table. I managed to flip the table and squeeze in the door. Just in time. 13:50 He stood there, pecking at the window. While I was laying on the floor sweating, when I got in my ex asked me, what are you screaming about? And I started to tell him, he just rolled over the prick, longest, three week holiday ever? What his mama. I can't believe the seagull actually Chase through in the door. 14:06 Yeah, they're evil bastard. Yeah, I love the way she said, he went back and told all his mates. It was he like So there's a crazy Irish girl down. I think we should scared the shit out of her all don't see. Was like yeah, dude, it's totally good man, Swami seagulls. You know, it's not. 14:21 So over the years, I've given birds of all types, a wide berth, one day, I was in Connolly Station waiting on the new trend minding my own business, trying to avoid the rats with wings AKA pigeons, they're past the dart was approaching the platform, but wasn't stopping and the pigeon decided he'd had enough of this world and jumped off the platform and fronted that feathers. 14:41 Everywhere One, landed on me and I puked. This is now my reaction whenever I have to touch Fetters, I get sick, try ratchet. Wow, yeah, that is. That's a bird for be right there. The tri-arena course, we did, our Big Show Ireland's, biggest, ever live podcast in the tri-arena and kieron got in touch. 14:59 And he said, I thought I'd tell you a story from the night because I reckon there'll be a runner correspondence from the night. Yes, we welcome all our correspondence underneath. We were leaving the arena and u.s. is Kiran. I met these two lovely girls from hermana and Fess up the north of Ireland and not given out for the god-given outer for Colin ordered. 15:17 So, just up there art, the north of Ireland, as opposed to Northern aren't ya. It is what these girls wanted it to be known as any fair enough. We had a great night together since Karen went to the well then on two, coppers in the night. Being the gentlemen we are we said we'd walk the girls to the hotel which was somewhere near the Spire. 15:35 Well, when we had them safe, we said we would start walking to our hotel which was to Gibson thinking, we'd a good sense. Direction. We were walking away, chant about the great night, not thinking anything of it. After awhile. It dawned on me that I hadn't seen anything recognizable to suggest we were unaware, we were on our journey, Google Maps came out. 15:53 Only to find, we were nearly at Phoenix Park. I tell you, we were Fair lad to see the doors at the hotel at 5:30 in the morning. So, I Google Map this to walk from the Spire to the gate of the Phoenix Park is 35 minutes in the wrong direction. 16:08 Then to walk back down the keys from the gate to the Phoenix pack. To the gives no tell Google map says that is one hour and two minutes. So they want from our thirty five minutes an hour and 37 minutes. I'll do a little walking. Also, they walk some coppers to the Spire. Yeah. 16:24 Which is probably another 20 minutes. Half an hour. Hear you talk about two hours of walking. That's. Did you do any drink? I woke up the next morning fresh as a daisy. Yeah, this is crazy over to Johnny's 5K. Yeah. Good to order a lovely gentleman walked home. That's the main thing. 16:39 Keith email. Absolutely love the show on the tree. Inna. I heard you saying they had a better badder than the darts. I'd say I'm responsible for about half of that. The Jameson's fact me up. Anyway, I was wondering if you could give a mention to my girlfriend Samantha and a shout out in the Pod, not only is she pure sound, got me two tickets, my birthday but I'm pretty sure she saved someone's life before the show. 16:59 Well, we're big fans and we decided to make a day of it, headed into dormant early, a few Scoops. And we're having the craic beforehand because it was lashing, rain during the day. We decided we'd go to the wax museum, have the crack All was going, well, taking a few photos, having to stay here. 17:15 Then. All of a sudden, we heard a big bang and elderly woman collapsed, right? Before us banging her head on the steps of the waxworks, quick as a flash Samantha run over. Put her in the recovery position and tried to help her. While I rang an ambulance, it wasn't looking good, a few minutes have passed. 17:32 And this lady still wasn't responding or breathe Samantha was doing everything she could to retriever reviver then suddenly about six minutes. She finally took a breath. And started breeding first, she was unconscious few minutes later. The ambulance arrived took the lady to hospital and she was back conscious at that stage, but we never found out what happened to her. 17:51 In the end we were bought a bit shook by it, but we headed straight for the tri-arena and within an hour we were enjoying you and Maura On Stage, Sound outliers. If you could give a shout out and ask and even know how the old one got on and tell Samantha, I'm so proud of her. Wow. 18:07 Well if you or your relative fell on the steps of the waxworks, let us know how you're doing. Yeah, and I would say it was probably several fellows who could have done with Samantha, by the end of life, probably, hallways session. Responsibly what I heard that cemented, save, someone's life of singular. Couple of our friends refer shock. 18:23 It could, it could have been there, Matt, the tri-arena and that's unbelievable. Okay, well, I would freak out in that situation. What if someone fellow rgb2 crying, I'm like, kill me kill me, who's gonna get the to Johnny's podcast, mug, sponsor mukasey Sports, who, sell all of our lovely to Johnny's. 18:41 Dice. You can see Casey's for Starry to Johnny start. If you want to get yourself some, I mean, more, who'd you like for the mug, Samantha says someone's life. Yeah, it's critical. I do. I feel sorry for the lad to walk, you know, for hours and hours. But like she saved a life, you know? 18:57 Yeah, saving the life is wrong. Now I do like Noel who's been scarred for life by watching her bare, be getting burnt at the stake Master for me, it's between Noel and Samantha who saved a life. I mean, the one life taken away, In Esmeralda, the very another life saved by Samantha Circle of Life, the sir like, okay, Samantha got a shy Toto will give no Al Zaman so maybe the Mughal replace the, you know, pain of losing a Barbie. 19:24 Keith Barry's Illusions and the Unspoken Bro Code Okay, unlucky. Semantics for saving someone's life, not just in your head. The well has hottie in her new to Johnny's podcast walks on the well, email podcast at to Johnny's daughter. You and all your contact details we get the Moke sent out here ASAP it's month. 19:41 If your From Keith have been slightly funny or you might have got thanks for coming to the shore to let's write the weekly Roundup. What's been going on into Johnny's land? We had Keith bury The Mentalist Illusionist magician showman and radio show and he did a trick in front of us and I think I know how he did it. 20:02 And then there's the second one he did or I have no idea how it is. Well, one thing I'm always worried about what magicians is weighted dice. You can buy things. That's a real thing. That's I'll buy you said for this time next week you can buy dice that will never land on one or whatever by weirdos, right? 20:22 Which is the Good Witch of got halfway 2000 trick, I think. I told no and I think he just slide the hand and all that, right? But we were sitting down that radio. Yeah. 20:37 Now, the one word that makes absolutely no sense was, I met him? You were out sick and he came in on the Friday and he handed me an envelope saying in this is predictions. I've made four, things are going to happen over the weekend and he put it into an envelope signed it. 20:54 I sealed it. I signed it across the seal into another envelope into another envelope seal it. I had it for the whole weekend. We opened it up live on air on Wednesday and he said, read the first sentence And it corresponding to the first sentence on the Irish Times newspaper, said read the second sentence and it was the headline from the Star. 21:14 The third sentence was the headline from the Sun and he had drawn an image of a bird with two fish in its mouth. And the front page of the Irish Times yesterday was a kingfisher with two birds to fish in its mouth. So he had dropped in that envelope on Friday and it had predicted the following Wednesday's news front page news headlines. 21:36 And he said, monster to draw in the rugby, which would be highly unusual and and Kiara score try which would be that unusual. Yeah. Yeah. Unbeliev. The man is an absolute like it's a a magician but he is everything comes in I'm like he won't go any better and like he had a trick where he's like, you're gonna drink poison and I was like, always actually brought poison. 21:58 He did. Bring poison, can I get down bottles? And he was like one at one of these bottles over 4 is Place. Yeah. It was white ferrets. Yeah. Buying off. You couldn't mistake. Yeah. So at times but I think we're Dice and that one. But I've no idea. Can't say that what it's a real thing. 22:14 That's what magicians do all the Mentalist of keep Harry complaints. You can deal. Yeah, 100%. He's what he's one of the best in the world here and he challenged, I throw at him, he'll happily come back and beat me. That's what it is. To be the best in the world, the best Illusionist Lord, and he blew my ear. 22:33 He also said on his predictions on the piece of paper, he said that am Leinster would win the European Cup and rugby and then he was like, don't let anyone go bet it's like because one And we predicted a match and then he said like late in the match the referee made a bad decision and the matter with the other way and he was getting traits, are people I heard me mortgage on that but yeah my channel. 22:55 Yeah so he's like don't put your money on he also predicted to Johnny B's going to have Cara trouble. How would you? How what are you thinking about? Because if he said that to me I'd be like I'm not trying to care. Well, I told you I'm gonna bring the card to local dealership and Saturday and say sorry Lads and all this sounds weird, but I'm a key barrier Wednesday and he said, something's going to go wrong. 23:14 Wrong. So what did you just run? The Diagnostics on the couch, just heard. He's any swear to God. I was going to get in the car washed and smack. Something don't bother, it'll be in the garage next week. I'm telling you that ski Perry blows my mind every time everything becomes in. How could he do that? 23:30 The predictions fucking crazy. I don't agree. Quentin. Like fuck it. You're injured or so. No, not like this. I told you, I told you. 23:46 Do those predictions and newspapers? Yeah. And they were real newspapers and check the day. It's checked. It's like, yeah, that you will be like after he left. I don't read newspapers. Act. Is this a dummy newspaper or something like that? No, no. He is a legit. He is legit. Yeah. Also this week, we announced and a gig are yes, full band gig to Johnny's in the junior. 24:06 Real stars Park live. In Min Rhine Park in Wexford. Yeah, also Town. Yeah, it's on Sunday. It's very special project, and it's going to be absolutely mental. Yes. Full bar, full band full crack full Everything, full trial live Wexford so you can get tickets for that. Now they're on sale. Hopefully by the time this goes out to him solo and well hopefully they have solos but like I hope you all get a chance to get a ticket if you want to come to expert, the Sunday night will have to It's going to be wild, okay? 24:46 And thanks to everybody who signed up to patreon on last week's extra podcast. Number 112. It's Max gave us his views on the bro code and girlfriends. If a brawl, ask your opinion on his new date, you have to give an honest answer if you don't like her, tell him, but that to me is very good that is the best, the best rule we've come across offer, you have to say, but it's hard, it is, it's not, it's not idea I've ever had. 25:14 Do I can't imagine leaving my honest about it sucks. I've always been honest with Johnny, really fuckin oh, fuck off. Oh yeah. But I have taught like okay, but I would say people turn it down. 25:31 Yeah. Yeah. You're not going to commit like I you know sniffles I hate her. Yeah. But like you have to like pass to be like reasons but he can't just barge store like her. Why? I just don't get that Vibe. Yeah that's no good but then as well you don't want to go. Come in at all, guns blazing, and like, he's not the one for you, or she's not the one for you and then like, they're like, well, I really like her and then your friendships fucked but they only they don't need galvanizes them. 25:55 So yeah, yeah, that's it. Like, so--you got to be I think I would more paint out the pros and cons. Okay. Yeah, that's my that that that that's my Approach, those of you who were able to make it to the tri-arena will be familiar with some of the story that Johnny B is about to tell and this is the story of the g, a catfish. 26:19 Johnny B Meets Cora: The Start of a Catfishing Saga This is going to blow your mind bear in mind. This next story. Some of the names have been changed to protect people's identities, but the story is 100% real and it's about to blow your fuckin mind. Now this is different to how we told it live because we've just named it. 26:37 It is a catfish story, so I consider myself reasonably intelligent but in this story, I was very much taken for a fool. Let me take it back to where it started last year. 26:55 I became single and you know, yourself it's never easy no matter what way it goes and in January Around Christmas time. This girl follows me on Instagram. She's absolutely stunning drop-dead, gorgeous. 27:10 She's from Limerick, has 15,000 followers and is followed by a few people. I know personally and is followed by a few well-known people from the industry from Showbiz. So one night, I'm looking at her stories and I say, go on, I sent her an old DM. 27:30 She's the first girl that I really message since become a singer. Well, and I was delighted. I got a reply. So we started chatting and she's funny and I don't know if you know this but I'm quite funny. So rich. So, funny-looking we're having the crack and she's laughing at my jokes. 27:49 I'm doing some of my best work. We're getting on really well. And then I asked her for her number because I'm told this is what you do. When you meet someone online, get it off, social media, get it to phone number. So, I asked her for her phone number and she gives me her number. 28:06 It's a plus for for Northern UK number because she said it's her work form and we start W happen and what lot of voice notes and she has a weird accent and I played it for smacks and you didn't know what to make of it either and she said that she had lived in Monaghan until she was 10 years of age that her mom was from mana and then she moved to Limerick and then at 18 years of age, she had gone to Scotland Auckland for college for a couple of years. 28:34 So she had a real accent cocktail. Now let me introduce it here Lads. She's kind of perfect, she's gorgeous. She sings, she plays the tin whistle or family. You're big into Triad. She does Stan seing she's stylish and she works as a stylist for River Island. 28:52 Doing the displays in shop Windows changing clothes around. She's very cool. And she's 27 years of age or messaging a lot like a lot. She's takes Me what's happened flat out? And she's not that big a fan of the to Johnny. She said, she gives the podcast. 29:08 The listen says were funny. And one time, she even sent in a story and we read it out from. See in Limerick, she listens to the song sends me voice notes, she's critiquing her songs. Now at the time as per usual, the to Johnny's, we're mad busy. 29:24 So I'm only half applying to her as much as they can. But she's funny. She's got an interesting job. She's telling me about people, she works with it and we're having good chance. She's told me she does styling session with wild youth while due to an Irish pop rock band and are quite good. 29:40 We played him often on the radio. Well, I said, you picked out their outfits, they need their money back, they do look a little bit like Duran Duran, but very good band. So she's slacking a saying, yeah, the keyboard player and all that. 29:58 The gasps crack the very fashion-forward, they like to take risks with their clothes. I said I can see that. So this is the introduction tour. Should we say her name? Her name? Dear listeners is Cora Coral or Donovan from Limerick? 30:13 And this is chapter one. Lad, when he moves on to Whatsapp? Yeah, one should never. What's a thought? Yeah. And I said to her and she's like I said, how come we don't have WhatsApp photo but it's not that weird. Yeah, I love people don't have lots of thoughts, that's fair enough. 30:30 Okay, proceed okay, chapter 2, the GAA connection, she tells me that she used to go out with a g, a player who I knew of and who a lot of our listeners would probably know of he's a very well-known. See if they're told me how she'd had another very well-known GA player. 30:49 Ask her out on a date. I'm gonna call it here. He asked her. Do you want to go to the premiere of that film Dune? And she didn't reply afterwards. He messaged her against him, he missed, not, it was shite. 31:05 And she told me that another person I know from television had slipped into your DMs. Now, I didn't think it was a great trade to be talking about your exes and People who had slipped into your DMs Etc? I mean, if I go on a first date, I try not to spend long talking about my ex to be fair. 31:22 So we eventually agree to meet for a coffee anyway and I haven't been on a date since the break-up so I'm a little nervous I put on my aftershave trim. My nose hair, bleach my asshole, whatever shit, where did that come from? Whatever people do on the first date. 31:39 So she's from the Fireside of Limerick between Newcastle West and wrath killed So we agree to go for a coffee and a stroll somewhere near Limerick. I'm driving to palace green on my way to Limerick on Sunday morning when I get a phone call. 31:56 She's upset very upset her. Aunt has just died. She was a little sick but they didn't expect her to go out soon. Her aunt was only 54 years of age, so she's very apologetic but I said, don't worry about it. I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt, honor, Instagram on her stories. 32:13 She had four holes of her on her ass. On holiday and several stories saying or IP to the world's best aunt photos of the two of them together. When I went home and told us Max he said straight away. She's dodging you, she's dodging, you this is an excuse, I said, but who goes to so much trouble and why she's the one message in me but curiosity got the better of me and I did something. 32:37 I'm not proud of I went on to all IP dot. I eat smacks had planted the seed in my head, but she was having me. Eon. So I'm on or IP dot Ali. And I'm looking for a 54 year-old woman in Monaghan who's passed away, no sign of her in the listings strange. 32:56 Very strange. 32:59 Multiple Cancellations and Johnny B's Mounting Suspicions First off, I just want to establish one thing though that like you weren't big creepy by sliding into your DMs. Like you've actually met your two previous girlfriends true Instagram. It's like you know. Yeah yeah that's I did. It's hard to meet people nowadays. I think and I chat to a lot of people on Instagram. 33:15 Yes. Yeah. No. I mean like I'm probably a thousand people. Yeah. And it's okay Tom. But fuck it man. Yeah, it like men. Well, there have been real girlfriends and you've. Yeah. So this wasn't anything unusual for you. Not like I said, my last two girlfriends on Instagram. 33:30 Is it fair to say that after the break of your own say? Fragile. But your you are even a breakup where everyone you know is like ours. The best thing that's ever happened to you, it's still shit, it's still hard at Laura comes easier. Nobody. Comes easy. 33:45 So yeah, you're not in a good, you're not in a good headspace, you're not in a good frame of mind and you're not expecting. What happened to me to happen to you? Yeah, you probably really flattered that, like a really good-looking girls chatting to you, push it. Yeah. 34:03 What more I said there is key to the whole story. She's very attractive and you're flattered. Yep, any guy would be flattered. Yeah, I just want to State for the record right now I did say, Johnny V, shoes dodging. 34:20 It's why did you say that? Is why did it work waiting spring to do you just like she's too hot for any fever. No, Johnny's good-looking, man. I think he could. I think he could like I don't think anyone's would be too good-looking for and that's genuine and I'm not saying that in like I don't want to get off him right like that but I think little bit you know Johnny be the better looking out at you or for it. 34:41 Yeah. More I regret that. But uh, um no it wasn't that. I just sometimes you think someone's too good to be true. Okay. That was my initial reaction was this one taken a lot of boxes like and then like your aunt suddenly died in underwear today. 35:03 I don't know. Just raised, I won't see a red flag, but I was definitely getting Amber at this Stitch after I thought it was suspicious to but honor Instagram stories. Several photos of her in the and together and all our AP world's best at this kind of thing. 35:20 Okay so I thought it's a lot of effort to be going to get out of a date where she's been the one leading a message to me because I straightaway said she's lying and in like once Johnny showed me did this thought like two stories on her Instagram was like ah okay like maybe I'm a terrible person and sword rumbled on chapter 3. 35:42 The second first date. She asked me to meet her to following weekend, and I said, okay, she was going to call down to care. We didn't text much for the next couple of days because, well, her aunt, just died. And she was at the funeral. She was telling me how her, and her housemate Nikki had sang at the funeral. 35:59 Saturday morning, I break out my good boots and I'm all ready for the following day. This is a week later, Saturday morning, she phones me. She's a close-contact of covid, has to isolate now Very frustrating. 36:15 What can you do? This is back when cold will a serious issue but it's stage. She's introduced me to her housemates. And Nikki is one of them. Nikki is gone out with a guy who plays Intercounty football and I Norm. Well, I don't know very well but we've met him and there they are on Instagram, Nikki, the housemaid and her boyfriend, the footballer and there is Cora comment under photos and the footballer commenting back the housemates. 36:44 Has me a story for the podcast because she's a big fan is Nicky over the moon that her friend is messaging Johnny be from the to Johnny's. So Nick he's friendly is Cora. Yeah? Cora I don't event is living with a girl called Nikki. Yeah, their mates and Nikki's going out with an injury County, footballer, who we know if we've met him, I'd read out Nikki story. 37:04 She, it's from work. I don't want to give it away but it's from work. And a funny thing happened to her. So, the following weekend chorus, it's you called down grants, as I starting to get curious, But meeting this one now even though at this stage, I'm having second thoughts about her because she talks about her ex is a lot and she kind of cut the back off. 37:21 A few people, saying there were jealous of her excetera Anyway, I was this far in so we said we would just meet for a coffee. Get Off the Mark. Dayton was go for a walk. She's on the way to care and she gets a phone call. She has covid. 37:37 I get a phone call. Saying she has covered. I said you're the most unluckiest woman in Europe. But look, it's only bit of text in. There's no worries later that night. She sends me a sexy photograph. I was wondering about the photograph and I Thought it didn't look like she took it in that moment, but then I thought she's the kind of person who filters all her Instagram photos anyway. 38:02 So maybe she's just filtered this photo, and most of the photos didn't have her head in shops and the chapter 3. So how you've been doing much phone call and at this stage, or like, like how you had long chat on the phone? Or is it just Hi? How are you? Lots of voice notes. 38:18 Okay, lots and lots of mess of WhatsApp messages and a couple phone calls. I've questioned yeah, how close to the dates. Did she canceled? So the first one I'm on the way you're underweight, so you're on the way to somewhere in Limerick. 38:35 Yeah, I am in palace green, which is a party minutes from our home. I'm halfway there on the second. One thing she canceled on the morning, okay? And on the third one, maybe the day before, or on the day, okay? Right. I'm probably the fact that you've seen it on her story and I'd brush. 38:53 She's living with a girl called Nicky. Nicky is dating a real-life footballer. Yep. You know, you probably think you're what's max out about her not being real or whatever. Hinting this is we think that's probably gone completely from your head at this stage. 39:09 Maybe you think she's giving you the brush off or something. Or yeah. I was starting to think. Maybe I'm reading the situation wrong. Don't know what's going on here. We're doing a lot of chatting, but then we're not meeting up. Were you thinking, like, maybe she's just chat to me because I'm trying to be From to Johnny's yeah yeah. 39:25 Okay. And why eat like she seems like a bit of a sap. Is is probably the best way of pondered as in like, talking about Rex's. All the time. How come you're like snow honest Liars, me like an irony in this one. She's fucking part of her exes all the time. Not talking about our exes all the time. 39:41 She had mentioned her exes more than I thought was appropriate, but it's not all the time. I definitely thought that it was a poor Trace. Yeah. But she was that good-looking. You're willing to overlook it. No. It's you just you need to go and meet somebody in the fashion. 39:56 Yeah it's fair to say you're you were very in not very But your well invested at this stage, considered your tree four weeks in though. 40:03 Cora Fails to Appear at the Dublin Meet-Up Yeah. Lots of voice notes. Yeah, couple phone calls. Are you building up a rapport? Yeah. Okay. Okay. The story mumbles on chapter 4, W the following weekend, Miss Evans Max, we're in Dublin. She's still at home. So if I Slayton and she had it on her, social self is Peyton, sending me voice, not to deal with home having a few tins locked in the house the whole time, right? 40:28 She says, Nikki the housemate and all the girls there down and Ryan's and I should call down. And I remember saying to her on text, well, it's not Niki that I want to meet now and it's not Nicki. I'm after then bang, she's out of isolation that night and she's common to Dublin. 40:44 It's been six days and she's breaking out. Now, at this point in the live show, I'll telling the story. I showed a folder of Cora on the big screen to explain We'll just how good looking she is. 41:00 I can sure to here now on the podcast medium but if you're at the shore you'll understand Johnny. Yeah if you if you if you weren't at the sure she's the Lasher. Okay, so she's common to talk about like the cord charging, right? Genuine not quite kosher as in her book. 41:17 That's that would be a fair summary. Nicole Scherzinger and like Kylie Jenner. Yes. Or I was going to say Lena Gomez? Yeah. Yeah, fair enough. Yeah, so it's for legend that, wow. It's Friday night, myself and Johnny and I met Paul Collins. 41:35 We're out in Dublin, were in town and she says, you know, all the girls are in Ryan's call in, and then she says she's in Ryan's with the girls now call down. So I say it's Max and Collins, and they're ashamed of Orion's is going to be mental, but for me, they'll go, we walk up. 41:53 The queue is 100 yards long, and we skip it because, you know, there's no point. Ain't selling out the tri-arena it can't get the human rights. And I text her saying we're just heading into Ryan's now. Where are you? And her friend? Nikki comes to the door to meet us because it's absolutely pandemonium in their it acts like a mosh pit. 42:11 We're going into the left, making barely get a drink. Nicky says I'll get Korra place is absolutely packed. She can't find Korra. So myself maximum Collins, we get mauled and there's a million photos were taken of us you know the crack no sign of Korra. Nikki takes a photo with me. 42:27 Me and puts it on her, Instagram story tagging Cora, but after one drink ourselves, Max. And Paul, we get the hell out of there. Place is mobbed and I was thinking, if she wasn't good enough to come down and meet me, she can fuck off. I'm always wary about people messaging because like you said, it's Max has messaging you, man for to Johnny spit crack. 42:48 I don't know if she's telling her friends and having a sneer. So anyway, we got tonight Hub. And we had a great night. We adapt our, we did have a good time. Yeah, she was ringing me a lot that night but I was saying look we went to Ryan's, she didn't come out or just going to have our own night now and I don't answer her. 43:03 I wake up the next morning to a bunch of messages. She's dying. She says she was locked in a before and she's so sorry. Sorry for her carry-on she says, Nikki is given out to her and she's so disappointed, right? So mad at herself for disappearing, Nikki then messages, me offer Instagram saying, can't believe Cora so mad at her, and they both say Lads on your way home, calling to our house for breakfast. 43:29 There's a bunch of us here in the Gap. All the housemates. I've been hearing about so like a sap on our way home. I say this Max. Come on, swing in here, curiosity is getting better on me. We have to go in and say hello and I'm absolutely dying. 43:44 Can I ask? What was the turnaround between her saying that Nikki was going out and then are busting out of isolation. An hour. It's only when you say it. Now that it seems like a bit of a red flags. 44:00 Like all you're not going down to meet Nikki and the girls, but then as soon as you said like oh I'm not going. But he's like, oh, you know what? I'm coming out, she's trying to play it like a surprise like saying, oh why don't you into Ryan's while all the while she was on the way to Dublin, hoping to like walk in the door? 44:15 What I'd been rains? Okay you got me? Yeah and I think we should also mention as well that like She sent you kind of nude. So I closed a new message. You didn't reply you with anything back like Bush. Not just any kind of lingerie stuff and just to clarify. 44:31 I know. I know. I never sent her dick pics. Yeah, he just never zoom function of this form, zoom out that far. We will get more of that later, because it's kind of interesting. The sending nudes thing. And it's big area, catfish, and we'll get into that bush. 44:46 Yeah. And like, so smacks, what was your thought at this stage? What what did you think, when core I didn't turn up and Ryan, do you remember? That nice. Yeah, I remember that. Yeah. So remember, Johnny Be been like a lad like, you know, one cores in rights and I wasn't enough football drains because like we apply we'd said that, like, we weren't going down the street because like, when we're going to head in the street is for panda morning. 45:08 We always going to demonstrate. Yeah. So he said, we got some stuff, we got some rats, and it's not really mental as well. And then we got a great look. We're going for one and and like I can remember saying to you, if she sound, we can bring her to where we're going and what am I a table or some and I was like, it's you sound even asked her to come with us? 45:25 And we can, we can like stop and rains. We get one there and then we can move on. Yeah, I go about our night. That was that was the plan when we got in, Ryan's was busy. But I don't care how busy Ryan's is, it's not like crawl Park, you could find someone if they were there. 45:42 So if you said to me, you're in rights, I'd find you don't care how busy this. Hmm. So that's and remember. I remember Nicky the house may come on over to us and I felt she was way too close. First of all, as in the shoes, right up against this, like my personal space you weren't there, so you were looking for Korra. 46:02 So it's just me and Collins. Yeah, and I'm Berman. Like she was like, well, how you like like she knew me. I was like, who the fuck you? And she was like, aah, I'm Nikki. I-i'm course I was and I was like, oh cool. A I was like, where is she? And I was like, I was full-on. 46:17 I was take because they don't want to go to Rings. Yeah. And I was like, where is she like, where is she, like, Chinese looking for? Where is she? So she was just down there as the get going. Get her there. Yeah. And as in, like, I've no interest in talking to you, I don't know. Yeah, and I and Ian has First Impressions. You're not seeing the world away from here because she was like, sure, Hand on my shoulders are like you know I mean I don't even know you're here. 46:37 And I can remember being like go like just go and get your friend for Johnny and like end this pain for me in Collins. Let go about our knife, please. And then she was like oh where are you going? 46:48 The Morning After: A Suspicious Drive with Nicky And I was like, oh I wasn't telling the river gone and just just because we didn't or didn't Orleans Hotel, some where I'm going and you can back him like no sign when she say ah she might left. Like I can remember something like that. And then I was like, yes, look to Johnny, looks like finished her. 47:04 Girly and drink and we just nicked our drink and we left. But yeah, as I said, if someone was in rains, we defend them. Yeah. So I'm a suspect again but also had a few in me. I what I didn't really give a shit. I just said, John, I just said, John you forget about her? 47:20 Like let's, let's go like, so we went about our night and it why I hadn't really given it a second thought until I woke up the next morning. So the next morning. So since Max, it's on our way home, we'll call in here and have a cup of tea. Lay eyes on this one, finally meet her because we're messaging. 47:36 Now this week. It's been about four weeks now. And, you know, she sent me photos, and she sent me emotional messages about her favorite. Aunt, Diane. And I know her whole life story. So we pull in and I mean, you know, Johnny he didn't fancy coming in to House. People didn't know and I don't blame him for quite an ignorant man. 47:53 Yeah. How should it be house full of teachers? We don't know. So he dropped me off and I say Grand because Cora is driving home to Limerick that even anyway and can drop me home. Home to care and smacks was saying, glad to yield be getting on the, like, a house on fire. 48:08 Debris. You'll never come home. I did not expect to see him under the least the next day. And we were Mentor a card and extra podcast. And I remember texting him after I left them off at the house gone, let us know if you want to reschedule the podcast. 48:24 That was my thinking was good chance. Won't see this man. So I go up to the house. Who answered the door. Nikki the housemaid Isis. Where's Cora Cora has gone to the shop? Do you want a cup of tea Isis? 48:39 I'll have the T. So I go in and I meet the housemaid ones. Scottish core has been telling me about her. We have a chat and other one is from County meath. And we have a bit of a laugh because I used to live in county, meath, and Morrison County meath, and Nikki says, joint the breakfast. And I said, sure I have the breakfast Cora be back now on a minute after a while. 49:01 I realize I'm sitting at the table. For 45 minutes chatting to order housemates and also in a Cora and I remember saying to Nikki and the meat girl, like this is the best first date. I was everyone and they laugh politely and then it occurred to me afterwards. 49:20 Well, if Nikki's cooked me a Friday, what the fuck did Cory go to the shop first so eat breakfast. Anyway no point getting a good Fray gone away, son for pudding. And Nikki is ringing. Core. Iran are don't know. I rang her. No answer. I'm so sorry about her, no answer. 49:36 So few minutes after that, I'm there about an hour now and I said, I said look, I'm going to get away, she's obviously stood me up, I go to order a taxi to bring me to the bus stop and Nikki says to mind, that I'll drive you because her boyfriend Intercounty football lives Kinder down our way. 49:55 And there she is in the kitchen where and his half zip, his County player training gear with his Is on it and I said it's a bit out of your way but she's not too familiar with the geography around our because she's from further up the country. 50:13 She feels so bad about core. Standing me up, she says, look, I'll drive you back and I'm hungover. So he says go on. So and I said goodbye to the other housemates and we hit the road. She says, she dropped me to tireless and smacks is going to pick me up from there, and then she'll split off back to her own way. 50:30 So we're having a chat all the way down and she loves the podcast. East and as we got near Earth hairless I was thinking I wonder what you just bring me home. We're on the half an hour from Tardis. Yeah. So she does, she brings me home and she's got a mad accent as well. Not too dissimilar to Cora. 50:46 And she's from somewhere up the north. So I guess my ear wouldn't be as well acquainted. As to what part of the north someone's accent is from, to be fair. So we pass casual and were chatting away and she's look, I'll drop you to care now. And I said, thanks a million. 51:01 So she drops me to my own. Own front door in care and off she goes, I called straight out this Max to tell him the story and he laughs his arse off. We agree. Korra must be completely mental. So he like I'm literally just home and I've gotten a role I'll never forget that. 51:21 I got raw chicken wings and wedges from the shop. That's hungover. I was sort of sitting out my house and I'm just after finishing and did the two o'clock game. 2:00, Super Sunday, game on Skies common on. 51:37 So I only dropped on me like, bear in mind. We left hablen at like 11 nights it. Mmm. And I just dropped you off, and maybe ten to eleven something like that. Yeah, I might went straight home. Got something sharp got home headed towards Barcelona and the my house, his character, he knows what the fuck bear might. 51:55 I take something like you want to reschedule the podcast and then I don't know. How'd you die? Think he text. Me and said, Could I pick you up and Taurus? And he didn't give me any detail as to like, why would I pick them up? Toilets and I taught gzi forget to try and harm or something because the train would only go to toilets. 52:13 If we want to get train back to tip, we have to get off and turn this island. This is Harlan, we don't have a good rail network, that's besides the point. So Johnny comes into the house and he told me the story and we had a great laugh about it, like we laughed and holler and then our attention turned, I was like I don't think she's insane. 52:35 I think something. Something sinister is gone on something fishy's going on. Yeah. Like when you were sitting at the breakfast table where you take an art course after doing a runner because she got cold feet. Like was that what you were thinking? Like oh she's nervous just want to meet me. That's why she's done a runner or whatever it made no sense, but I thought she just after standing me up now. 52:54 Yeah, see, I find a fast thinks I'd be so awkward if I was on a birth date in a house. With three people, I didn't know. And the person supposed to be dating was gone to the shop. Forever. I feel like I might have a good girl, that's my idea of hell. 53:12 Yeah. And it did cross my mind. When I dropped him off as like we dropped him off to anywhere it end up a lamb shit. It's gonna be head me because I was like rushing to get home cuz I think they're from caught him playing. And that's what I want to go home for a match. So I pulled up at this house which was kind of, it was a little bit out of our way on the way. 53:31 Our Dublin. It's in Dublin and it's kind of Honor exit out of the oven. And I remember like, Another house reversing like pulling real quick and can be like, get out, get out. Hmm, so I like that. It's really sport Spirit heart as like look, yeah, that's Johnny off on a date, whatever babubhai trouble. 53:44 The Deep Dive: Investigating Cora and Her Ex-Boyfriend Okay. But I must admit this is dis, is when we really start horning in on things, yes. Okay, chapter 52 detectives. So I had thought, as we mentioned earlier, she talks about her ex a bit. 54:02 The way she talked about people that I kind of knew I was from TV. It was, it was a bit of a red flag and she had, come on very full on very fast, which previous counselor told me can be a red flag with somebody, but once I invested a few weeks and we were talking and getting on really well. 54:21 I kind of just wanted to meet her and see what the story was and I haven't been on a date since becoming single, so I guess I was still in a strange state of mind. So, myself and smacks her talking about her, It. And we say, we're going to have to have a closer look at her Instagram. I had encrypt it too hard because we've been talking on WhatsApp and I try not to spend too much time on social media, because I can you go insane from our job and yet? 54:45 And then we were looking at her and she wasn't tagged in many photos, only a copper. She was a dancer, a singer whistle player, stylist. Like the GAA had highlights of GA stories and matches and Limerick matches the whole lot and then we Agreed. 55:02 She's too good to be true. We knew there was something off about her, but I was a fool and I was actually getting on really well to having some crack and it's just nice to be chatting to somebody. Can I come in? Yeah, when we looked at Easter and Page might heart immediately were, she's got 15,000 followers, and she's got a four of her looking like amazing that some real Posh do and there's no accounts those comments on most of the photos. 55:34 Yeah. I know. And it was comments from people, we know. Yeah. Stan saying like stunning on but not to the level that you'd imagine that you'd imagine. I mean, if you put a performer, Alright, you get like maybe 30 comments of Pete. Now like, you know how many followers of yoga 14 times. 55:51 There you go. So many comments, would you get on a photo of yourself looking well? But yeah about 30. Yea, you might, you got two or three on somewhat like, and then I remember one photo had no comments and I was like, that's what can weird that is. We saw closer inspection. 56:06 No tags for was a couple of tight father. Yeah, no, yeah, yeah, yeah. We're going to get to that. Yeah. Okay okay, we decide It's a fake account. Cora Donovan's. Instagram is a fake Instagram. I've been pranked but then we were looking at it. 56:22 She's connected with people that we actually know in person personally. So I call Wild youth. We're in the Johnny's we can ring. People get a hold of while dude. And I say did you ever do a styling session because they're pretty stylish, somebody stole them with a Cora from Limerick. 56:44 They'd never heard of her. Someone else is to blame for their mental outfits. Sorry. Well dude, it's time to crack a very good band. I got a mutual friend to contact some of the real people who follow Cora mutual friends of mine, but I didn't want to come straight out and say it to these other people. 57:02 She's followed by these people. Her photos are liked by them and and she followed by, you know, other women who have lowered the followers. And when we asked them about it, they said you know what? She followed me, she liked my photos, I liked her style so I followed her back, she'd comment looking Fab and I'd come and back on hers looking Fab hon, Etc. 57:23 And then we asked, did you ever actually meet core in person? No, none of them had didn't until close friend of mine. I asked a few of the Limerick GA lads who were from kind of around her way, did they know her and none of them knew her and no disrespect to Limerick senior hurling team, but it was a good-looking woman in Limerick. 57:43 They'd know about her. The guy didn't think I'd that stands for any girl that stands for any County to be fair. And my friends who she's, well, people, I knew who she said, her diameter iMessage them, they swore to hadn't damned her one last person to call her famous GAA ex-boyfriend. 58:02 I messaged him on Instagram. Well add those are gone. Can I give you a buzz? No hassle. Says he. And when I ring him he sound we talk about G. A then I say to him, do you know acorah or Donovan? He says, you're not serious. 58:17 I said I am. He says, holy God. I said what about her? And he said, I was half expecting your call. Johnny, he was expecting my call. I only know him from watching him score points and Telly, he said a few of His friends had been messaging him to say, You must be fair sick. 58:35 Now core is going out with Johnny Be I said I wasn't going out with her. You were going out with her. He said he'd went through a bad breakup and then into lockdown and himself and Cora had met on Instagram. They were talking a lot, very full on very fast. 58:53 She had sent him for autographs. He could only describe as hot and heavy and absolutely beautiful woman. I asked how long were you gone out? Out for he said we never actually miss don't until he said, lockdown, came we were supposed to meet for a date. 59:11 He was on her way to meet her once and she phones her. Aunt was dead. I said I'd hate to be related to her. There are dropping like flies what could he say? Her aunt is dead, so they went to meet up another day. She gets covid. Very unlucky. 59:27 He's working nearby her one time and suggest they meet for a coffee. She just doesn't turn up. And he waits for an hour, he affects off. And he said, you know what? There's something wrong with this one but she said it was a family emergency. He says he's had an off stopped messaging her after a while. 59:43 She steps back into his DMS, they get chatting again texting. Again, more hot photos, they go to meet again, her uncle days. He eventually, says something wrong with this one and he finishes it, I asked him. How long will you message in for her? And he said over a year talking every day on the phone, lay it into the night. 1:00:06 Confrontation and the Unveiling of Nicky as Cora So lessons, can I take you back to the Sunday morning, or I'm dropped back home by Nikki and I'm out, it's Max's house. That evening Cora messages me. She saw sorry for standing me up at her own house. 1:00:23 She drove to the shop, then got a phone call that her sister was in an accident. And she headed straight back to Limerick and her for indict. It's an unfortunate series of events, she send the device. Not And she's close to tears and I said, look, I'm so sorry to hear about your sister but it's just not working out for me. 1:00:44 I'm old good boy because the Dragons Den because I'm convinced it's a fake profile and we don't really want any more to do it. So we just say goodbye. But now the question is, who's running the account? 1:00:59 I was shook from talking to her suppose, it ex-boyfriend m, a guy who I kind of know and respect, haven't talked to her almost every day for a year. It's mind-blowing. That's that's when it became more than a bit of a laugh for me. Yeah, I was it was kind of like Arts bit cracked lips, you know? 1:01:16 Is someone having Johnny be on, Jesus like Dawson and I know he's Fred like, you know, fragile enough after the breakup and so bit rough. But like this would be a good one. Tell the by Saturday night, you're not like that, that To me was what it was that we did. And we didn't withhold I'll never forget. We text all. 1:01:31 We have like what's up? Your heart has the red cup gang and we have a gang row, six lads who are in the WhatsApp, who are our best friends and we're all in the collective group together. And we take them saying, all you call in this evening. I have two pockets to do. Want to meet you. Have the most mental story Telly. 1:01:48 So the come in and I tell them the story about getting catfished by Korra and the Viceroy fucking hell, she's like, you know, sorry to hear that whatever like bit of ribbon for Johnny obviously, Expected but I think it's like, I'm embarrassed. Mmm. Yeah, and I feel stupid, but the only way to process it is to get your friends in and tell him the story. 1:02:07 Yeah. Because smacks would have told them anyway there and they're all gonna slide. So II. Did it give me a good slogan about her? Like, if you text me and I'll put it was the only way to processors, but for me when I heard that she had done this to another guy and he had invested his time, In her for a year every night, then I looked down. 1:02:30 I was kind of tick. Yeah, fuck this. I'm hungry. Yeah. Naka and like that guy got into a really bad breakup and I was like, I was like, I want to, I want to, I want to, I want to get to the bottom of this. I want to know who's running this Instagram account. I want Justice, okay? 1:02:45 Chapter 6. Who the hell is the real core? It had occurred to me that Nikki sounded a little bit like Korra. Now remember all you do, I'd never met Korra and person only on the phone and Voice talents and people's voices can sound different over the phone sometimes, so I couldn't be sure. 1:03:02 I went on Nikki's, Instagram and inner Instagram story highlights. There's a video from about a year previous of her, having the crack on a night out and there's no mistaking, The Voice Nikki. The housemaid is Cora, don't do so Nikki's a mad to Johnny's fan knows. 1:03:23 All our podcasts knows all our songs have seen. Her TV show. Nikki plays a bit of Triad. Doors are better. Dancing into the GAA, she's taken all her. Favorite parts of herself and put them into Cora. 1:03:40 She taken four holes from Google images of meetings and photo shoots and put them on her story and has tagged River Island in them as hashtags and Sanford, hashtag whatever their no spring, fashion, whatever it, whatever hashtag River under using and put up Photoshoots claiming to be working for a vote and then I remembered his Nikki was the one who met me. 1:04:02 I would say drains put me on her story, it was Nicky who made me to breakfast? It was Nicky who drove me to my aunt house in Tipperary and Nikki's gone out with an inter County football and we know him So, Cora rings that evening? 1:04:19 And I say to her, you are Nikki and we have a clip of the phone call to play here. 1:04:35 Just leave me alone and leaves your leave those other lives alone as well. Leave leave. Leave those are ads. Loans were like okay. So, I'm hanging up and I'm blocking you and I hope that you can leave it there. 1:05:04 So you've experienced my life, so I tell her or talking to Wild you, they never heard you, she says that's bullshit. 1:05:23 I said, my mates who you said, DMG they all said you were talking. She ate the famous GA ex-boyfriend. He said please don't mention me to Cora. I don't want to draw her on me again. He hadn't fully believed. The Cora was a fake profile, until I had been talking to him and he had been introduced to Nikki as well. 1:05:45 So one more dilemma myself and smacks are faced her. Should we tell Nikki's boyfriend? The footballer? I said Cora Cora / Nikki? Yeah, I'm talking when I said Cora. Nicky look, all these people say they never met you and she denies it and I say Cora. 1:06:04 I know you are Nikki she denies it. I say, look goodbye, leave me alone. You need to talk to somebody about this and stop doing this to guys would in the next hour. I got five messages from five different Instagram accounts. 1:06:22 All saying Cora is now in hospital. What you're doing to her is disgusting. She needs you. Now, I have a close. Look at all five accounts. All fake. One of them is her blond friend, Emma. She messaged me saying, you're so terrible, what you're doing to Cora and then Cora sends me a very long Worked up, I raise passionate message, saying how much she felt for me and how mad she is about me. 1:06:55 And because I hadn't told her that her ex-boyfriend never met her mmm. She goes on about how I could wring him and he would explain the whole thing. Yeah. But I couldn't tell her that. I had wrangham. I say Nicky, you need to get her. 1:07:11 This is not good. You need to see a counselor and from the bottom of my heart, leave me alone and leave those other Lads and on and I blocker, The end. Well, this is as far as I told in the tri-arena. 1:07:24 The Comfort of 'Your Spot': An Environmental Psychology Deep Dive Well, I told you abbreviated version in the tri-arena try and keep it more in Chain of her life. This is warts and all. Yeah. So now we're 40 minutes in listeners its maximal. And you want to say here? Yeah. My first thing when we figured out it was catfish and we call the boys in the Jolla, I was like video harder She wouldn't accept video call. 1:07:45 I was like video call her right now. Johnny's, I thought I said video caller right now, we're all here. Video caller, I had tried to be the caller already. Yeah. And then you kept video calling her and she kept hanging open like, oh, I'm doing something. I'm busy. I'm here, my family, or I'm so, and I was a key video corner of the chances of all. 1:08:01 This is the only where we want to get there and we don't know 15 more times only? Okay look she's not gonna, she's not gonna answer it. Which again, Just confirmed everything. We'd already believed that this was a fair profit being ran by Nikki 100%. I'd absolutely no doubt. 1:08:17 Then when I went to go on and check Horrors for all five for something else, I was blocked. He blocked her. And then I was blocked. And then we got one at last mrs. Trying to follow her. She was blah. She had figured out. Who was who and had blocked, dr. 1:08:34 Saul to Johnny's are blocked. Mauro's blocked. Yeah. You block Neil not that I know of korres account is on private and Nikki's on private and Emma Blondie. 1:08:50 A account is on private as are all the other accounts who messaged me, so their service. So it looks at this moment in time that Nikki who was core as housemaid is running, a clandestine network of fake profiles. 1:09:05 So part two is going to become an expert. A week when I told a story at the tri-arena a lot of things came out of the woodwork and a lot of people contacted us. So in part two next week, we'll be bringing their everything else that's happened and I'm telling you, pussy, Palace on your ears. 1:09:21 He's gonna blow your mind, and it's also serious and people, get hurt. And here's the thing. This is something that you see on Catfish television show and you think that only happens in America, this is happening in Ireland to a lot of people. And a lot of people that we all know, In the entertainment industry, in the gar everywhere also will be speaking to an expert on the podcast. 1:09:42 In terms of why do people catfish what do they gain from it. What happens to people who have been catfished, because to me, this is like a disease. If you're setting up these fake profiles live in this fake life, there's gotta be something amiss somewhere. So we want to get to the bottom of why people do not know. 1:09:59 Lots of we will have an expert on the podcast part 2 is coming next week and I'm tellin ya. You don't want to listen. She's the type of girl that won't tell you to go easy drinking on a night out, but she will hold your hair back for you to follow in there while your face down in a toilet. 1:10:15 Maureen, Watson mystery topic this week, something nice and gentle follow me through relax and put last, take some sort of invoke an anti stimulant after that. I want to know a lot to carry. Do you have a favorite spot on the sofa? 1:10:32 Loveseat. Favorite side of the bed? Do you have an area? We also if you go see Artie canteen, where you always sit and you get annoyed. If somebody sitting there because I seen the story on Reddit and it was an eye Mighty asshole. And I kind of feel like I can identify a lot with this because I have as a child, I somehow always ended up sitting in a spot that was reserved for the man of the household. 1:10:57 So this lady says, every time we buy new character Furniture, my husband chooses, the best seat and tries to claim it as. His spot growing up every patriarch had a spot in their homes. Any time a kid or a grand cat kid or a spouse that in the spot without knowing. 1:11:13 So the man has came into living room was like here, shift move. So when I think that's okay for a parents through their kids, put from like a husband and wife. I don't know if it's okay to like ha, ha ha ha. Hey, this is this, this woman says she's two sons and she thinks it's disrespectful to expect. 1:11:33 Someone to get up after a first claim to see. Just because someone else comes into the room, especially when there's enough seating in the hole for the whole family in the living room. Her husband's sake. Let's listen. Why don't you just claim a spot by yourself for yourself. 1:11:51 So he'd have her spot and she'd have her Splash but she's like, no, fuck the patriarchy. So she wants to do is she the asshole for shooting down her husband's spot dreams? So he has a spot on the couch that he likes to sit on. 1:12:07 Yeah. You he was like so they bought a new sofa and he's like, I want that corner and she wanted to when oh she's like no, you can't Claim a spot. Like because what if somebody else wants to sit there and stare house? Yeah, but I have I have a spot on the couch, right because the way the room is set up, it's the best view of the TV and close to the fire. 1:12:30 But if I come in, have a cup of tea and snacks are sitting there, I wouldn't shift him. I wouldn't break up out of my spot, you know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah, I'm I'm we're going to come to this song. I would actually ask. 1:12:45 Now that I think of it, if we went into your sitting room, I will be like, where's your spot? Yeah. So I look when I'm sitting in my spot like the end of the couch and it retains. Yeah. And that's where I beat now. The only person who, like, I would argue sitting there is any because we have a coffee table in that corner. 1:13:01 So she's drinking tea, she'd be like, let me in there into your spa down the T. But I wouldn't argue, you know, I should drink the tea and everlasting be like, can I get in there? No, but I have a thing. About this seat that like, no matter how bad a day I've had her. 1:13:19 If I've had a shit week or a shit whatever, like, shit time, I'll be like, it's all right, in a few hours. I'll be sitting on that seat and I'll be under a cleaner, and I have my favorite program on and everything would be. All right, so to me to me, to me that seat is like, I'd ask me happy place, that's eat. 1:13:34 So that's why I like, even now I'm already thinking frightening or sit down. Oh, I can't catch up. Need centers in that seat, but you're a big man. A routine is important. So I like routine. So I think that's why this Is part of the routine. It's not actually the look. I've been looking to get a new couch. Fridges, seeing anyone? 1:13:50 Can I get a new couch? Nordic house is fine. Now, In fairness, the coaches actually brought from. So, I have this thing where I jump into the couch, I'm probably saw happy to see the couch that I actually launched myself on Endeavour damage on pain. It's like and he's had a coach is definitely broke and it's kind of separating from the middle of the couch because it's a recliner. 1:14:07 So I do need a new couch but my ass is molded into it and I just I just like it's just my see now Haven't gotten this from other people, I don't know. I know that, like Annie's dad has a seat at the table. Mmm, and I wouldn't, like, even if there was like one seat left, I don't need a sitter looking off the rest somewhere there, and he wasn't there. 1:14:27 I won't sit to see. No one sits at that seat in there, but it's just, it's just his see. I think you should ask Yeah, put him. We wanted your house. Have a cup of tea tomorrow. I would like, where are you sitting? Hmm. It's your house. Yeah, without ink. And now, like, I'm sitting down reading the paper one and he said come in and I was dinner time. 1:14:45 I just got up and just move to different. See, because he was here and I think as well, he's old. Yeah, you're not going to fight with an old man over his sleep. Also seen also in the gar is where I'm particularly. Wary of my spa in the dressing in the dressing room, sort of very first day like 12 years old, I walked interest from the care. 1:15:06 We the players meet the first thing I was ever it was like three players mean I'd not fall. So typical care. We also have lost a meeting where we all go downstair. Dear say what we're going to do in every fucking ever do it. So that's what we do. And the first night I walked in and I sat in the spa And I've never sat anywhere else in the dressing room ever. 1:15:23 Since you can see out the door when the doors opened right inside the door. On the right round Midway. Now, as a 30 year old if I'm if I was going to jail like I've been on this year so far. But if I went down and her some sit there, I'm gonna move up Stephanie Spa. 1:15:40 That's just the way I look at. All right, I guess close to it as I could, there's something else. Especially presume that you'd be like God, that's nice work out there. Look this up for next week as to what it is about. People who go to the same places. Yeah, it's comforting. Yeah. 1:15:56 Also I think in the in the canteen is all like we got like really at middle table, I think where you sit in the ga is a bad seed because as you say you can see out the door. Yeah. So when you're getting changed, everyone walking past can see ya. Oh, shut up. I'm proud of you got a big booty. 1:16:13 You gotta talk to John-Boy. I also, we put into our tea and Chiropractics Max packs. Pretty much in the same spot. Really? Yeah. And you'd have to agree. It's not the best part. Probably the worst spot. Yeah. It's the furthest away spot from the door but you packed her. I just factored. 1:16:29 Don't know why. Definitely a comfort thing. I did the exact same thing. I just don't understand. Like I probably don't need the first are? He was probably the only spot available they want. Yeah, and now it's your spot. Oh yeah. Just on ever since, when we go into, when you go to the pub with your favorite spot. Yeah. John John Marcy's. 1:16:46 Yeah, down the back left. Last table with the that used to have the 14 on it. Anybody? Oh yeah. Down by the fire. Yeah. Middle there that's your favorite seat. That's why I will be my favorite. See in care. Yeah. And if you couldn't get that with a put you off, it won't put me off because it's hard seat to get. 1:17:04 But I've often went in early, try and get that Maura when he had the pope. Did you have lads who were like always in? That's their seat now, This is specific sections of the counter. So they'd sit at a certain point like that, it wouldn't matter what to do was there. 1:17:20 But they'd sit at a certain location on the counter. But like, I, you know, I remember just going into it when I was younger. I went over my brother to his friends house and I didn't really know the family this world, but I think my mother just wanted us at the hospital. Welcome play with your brother and their family and their brother friend, the friend I went and we're having lunch or something like that, and I sat down at the table and a new people are kind of looking at Strange am just going to sit there, and then the father of the highest walks, and I was like, oh more, I guess. 1:17:47 Nobody told you. That's my see, he's right. I had to like, and the only like, two brothers and sisters, like, like, are his sons and daughters. Like, oh, sorry, laughs. And one thing she said, is humiliating, so, like, I think it's okay to have a spot. 1:18:04 Yeah, mmm. But dude, everybody's a guest, let them sit where they're sitting like Joe. So, your house, like, I'm Dobson, really? When I go have dinner at my parents, Aunt's house. Now I'd always say where you want me to say it. Okay. Yeah. Because again as people get older, they have routine. This is my dad always had as part of his day at the table and he have a cop, hit his cough like and I just just give it to you. 1:18:24 But I do I had another friend, right? And her father would always sit in the same spot and Coach cage ended up ruined, right? That's why. It's just like lovely smooth coach, but men with to cheek imprints. Yeah. Yeah. So actually, the tip for, if you go to dinner at someone's house and you want to know where it is, You see in the inside or you can't get up and give a hand, so it's like John a hand. 1:18:50 I'm actually sorry. I'm not kind of Trapped in here and I'll get some access to my left and Laura Murray. I actually can't get out. So yeah, they put me in there because they know I'm the most useless. There's my sister about the edge. Like, do not stop, probably some sort of it like a syndrome for this or soldiers that he is. 1:19:07 This is something called environmental psychology and and people like I was trying to find Bit more research on this, like explain like what is it that people have comfort about it and but just seems to be that they haven't really figured out what it is that they even know. 1:19:23 We stand the same way, we sit the same way. I always hit the Johnny's, right. I also stand to Johnny's race and we are, will often be doing TV shows where we'd like do something then we'd like not wrong side. What makes sense? Yeah, it's just something that we've done from day one, so we just stay with it. I think that's why this is like, that's where I parked here one. 1:19:40 That's where I sat there. One. That's right on that day. One is One less thing to think about. Yeah. Probably. Yeah, like that. But I drove into our tea in the morning. Michael. Oh, where's their space? Where is their space? It was a space there day one. So in my mind they're always beats faster decision fatigue. Yeah, that's why. Steve Jobs wore the same clothes every day. 1:19:56 It was one less decision to make. Now, in the bed, I have sleep in the same side of the bed. Yeah. Yeah. Oh yeah. All right. Sided about I turn a certain way and that's the way it. Like I have a routine when I get into bed at night, I could be like watching telly and then I'll turn any got night. 1:20:12 Right, cause I'll be gone. Five seconds after I turned that way. Good luck. So I see right right hand side of the bed over on me right shoulder gone. Yeah, okay. See okay, we'll listen topic. Also, remember like, on Thursday nights from you score for 3410 in dealing care, right? 1:20:31 I like play pool or whatever, like you could draw a diagram of who was going to be in the pope. And we're done, we're going to be sat to this duel, even though, Probably be the tight and it has been replaced in. Tell me, it's incredible. 1:20:46 I'm leaving. All right. People get in touch with us. Let us know your weird habits but having to do the same thing in the same place and do you have a side of the bed? Because I read an article, once about a woman who didn't have a side of the bed and said it drove her parents are insane. I think people who don't have a side of the bed, now they're living on the edge, even the even if my Miss wasn't in the bed, I hadn't seen that side of it. 1:21:06 Yeah, right. Don't forget to tell your friends, what a to Johnny's thanks, Mara enjoy that one. 1:21:10 Episode Conclusion: Plugs, Sports, and Hotel Price Rants Sorry. Don't forget to tell. Fantastic View. And so proud of all the Ads it was decided on penalties after went to extra time and I just think it's hard on 17. 16 year old young Lads to win or lose a final on penalties. 1:22:24 I think in a way I'm delighted that two point three nil and didn't win 5-4. Yeah. And there was one young lad going around or God if only I'd score. Yeah, but aren't you forever? I'm glad the tip one out, right? It's one of those things that was four minutes of extra time. 1:22:40 Allotted and then Clara. Scored the equalizer with four minutes and 55 seconds gone. So the ref is abstain for a job but he's probably hoping in the 20 minutes of extra time. You're probably crossing your fingers saying Jesus, please God, one of the team's hammers, the other team run away with you and there can be no arguments. 1:22:57 So I know they'll probably look at the calendar and say there was no time for a replay it which I understand. But penalties is tough. Maybe is it too hard to ask grads to go to another period of extra time? Maybe going to get injuries if you start doing that. I look I think a re flare Like talking about the calendars congested like it mattered. 1:23:15 It's not the end of the world. There's a lot of the time. Yeah a little Pam might like your shirt while we're on. That is also Tiff minor lit. We are on Clubman Tom DeLay. Nia. Yeah. Who I had it under age 12 teams where great horror and it's our club. Very rarely produces fantastic colors. Yes the long time so it's good to have on in and mix and that was that was my you're too weak for a good old man on that. 1:23:36 Speaking of slow my own yurt is I forgot to mention it last week. All you want the full bladder So, we do draw the Joker 52:53 cards, facedown, one of them is Joker, so our name is pull out of the Hat. Summary:

FAQs

A leg bag is a medical device for catheter users that collects urine and has a tap at the end. A listener filled leg bags with vodka and Captain Morgan, strapped them to her and her husband's legs, and walked into the concert with a limp, then poured drinks from the tap.

Security typically only does a quick visual check of bags and won't open sealed containers like sun cream bottles or dig through packets of baby wipes. This makes them ideal for hiding spirits or hip flasks.

You bring a couple of cheap, obvious cans of alcohol that security will find and confiscate, so they stop searching your bag. The real hidden alcohol, like vodka injected into sealed cans or a bottle inside a hollowed-out baguette, goes undetected.

She made a small hole in the top of each can, let out a little juice to make room, injected the strongest vodka she could find, and then sealed the hole with tape. The cans looked untouched and were ready to drink.

It's about decision fatigue: choosing the same seat every time is one less decision to make, which is comforting and efficient. It also becomes a routine that signals relaxation or control, like Steve Jobs wearing the same outfit daily.

They repeatedly video called her, but she always hung up with excuses like being busy or with family. This refusal to appear on video confirmed their suspicion that the profile was fake.
