Ep. 1868 - Here's What I Think About The Catastrophic Midterms Disaster

The transcript presents a comprehensive critique of the current U.S. political landscape, blaming the Republican Party’s electoral defeat on poor foreign policy, especially the Iran War, which increased living costs and alienated voters. The speaker argues that rising gas prices, job losses due to AI, and demographic shifts—driven by immigration—have made the economy and political culture unrecognizable. Democrats have gained control of Congress by appealing to young voters and those struggling with affordability, while Republicans failed to offer tangible, consistent policies or address key concerns like inflation, labor shortages, and AI’s impact on jobs. The speaker highlights that Trump’s foreign war policies and dismissive attitude toward domestic issues, such as AI and cost of living, undermined public trust. Despite the loss, hope remains for a return to America First principles, with Republicans urged to develop a clear, practical agenda that speaks to everyday Americans’ fears and needs. The analysis concludes that the political realignment is profound and permanent, driven by economic and demographic forces, and that future recovery depends on effective, empathetic governance rooted in the well-being of ordinary citizens. A recurring theme is the disconnect between political rhetoric and lived experience, emphasizing that voters will not support leaders who make their lives worse.

Again, that's 800-575-1753. Tax relief advocates, real solutions for real people. Just two years after Donald Trump retook the White House and Republicans gained control of both houses of Congress. Voters have made it clear overwhelmingly that all things considered they'd prefer to be governed by the Democrat party, which has been fully captured by communists who want half the country dead and openly seek to destroy Western civilization itself. This is a disastrous and profoundly irrational outcome on many levels, but also not unexpected. Donald Trump abandoned the America First Principles that got him elected and voters responded accordingly. In fact, in Michigan, Abdul Al-Sayed literally ran an America First ad. A guy named Abdul Al-Sayed was able to co-opt the America First message because the president wasn't interested in it anymore. And as a result, Democrats will take control of both houses of Congress. They're picking up seats in the reddest states on the map, including Mississippi and Texas. There's no way to soft-pedal this, and I'm not going to try to. It is a political catastrophe of historic proportions. The Republican Party needs all new leadership. None should be spared from blame starting at the top with Trump himself. The people running the party right now who led us to this slaughter will not and cannot be its leaders in the future. In every state he went to, Trump told voters to pretend he's on the ballot. And in the end, guess what they did. And that was the problem. And now, after the total domination we saw last night, it's not unthinkable. Democrats could get enough GOP support to impeach and remove Trump from office. That's now on the table. And that's how monumental this defeat was. Now, what makes it -- what this means is that Iran, ironically enough, just did far more damage to this country than whatever Trump was warning us about. A nuclear-armed Iran is nowhere near as dangerous to Americans as a socialist Democrat party running the government. Which is what's about to happen. In large part because the White House launched a pointless indefinite war in the Middle East. Trump saw how the other Republican president this century derailed his presidency and destroyed his party with an unpopular pointless foreign war and decided that he go ahead and do exactly the same thing. You know, the great almost Shakespearean tragedy here is that Trump launched his movement and seized control of the party in large part because he was one of the only Republicans willing to criticize Bush's disastrous foreign war. And now Trump's tenure will end in ruin because he launched a disastrous foreign war of his own. The justification for this war, which raised the price of fuel enormously, was to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran. Well, I would certainly rather have a nuclear-armed Iran than Communists running my country. And it's not a close call. The catastrophe that's about to unfold, unlike any nuclear weapon, legitimately has the potential to destroy the entire country. Okay, you can look forward to DC statehood, Puerto Rican statehood, unlimited foreign voters, a packed Supreme Court, made easier by the fact that the elderly Conservative justices pulled a Ginsburg and refused to retire this year. All of this is much, much worse than Iran getting a nuke. It will hurt you and your children much more than Iran ever could have. But that's our future now, in no small part because this war resulted in a much higher cost of living for almost everyone. But as devastating as the Iran quagmire has been, we also can't ignore the larger macro trends at play here. This is a far greater political realignment than anything we've seen in the modern history of the country. Even more dramatic than 2016 when Trump first took the White House. This is arguably a permanent realignment, one that immigration hawks have warned about for decades, and yet for some reason the GOP never took seriously. And it largely explains why the entire South is now in play. To be sure, immigration alone is not the whole story, according to exit polls, only 51% of white voters went for Republicans. Democrats won young white men by 17 points last night, according to CNN exit polls, while Trump won young white men by 28 points in 2024. In other words, in just two years the Republicans have completely alienated one of the major demographics that their policies were supposed to help by eliminating anti-white discrimination, deporting illegal foreigners, competing for jobs, and so on. It is a stunning failure. You can't help but think about that Sarah Huckabee Sanders ad where she portrayed the typical welfare queen as a young white male. The exact demographic leased likely to be on welfare was nonetheless turned into the mascots for welfare. Now that ad obviously isn't why Republicans were obliterated last night, but it illustrates the deeper problem, which is that Republicans need white men in order to have any chance of winning any race at any level, and white men have been their most loyal constituents, and yet Republicans still won't speak to white men or acknowledge them as a group except to cast them as villains. The Democrats speak very specifically to the core demographics that they need to win elections. Republicans will not do that. In fact, they do exactly the opposite. But putting that aside, as it turns out, what people care about, whether they're white or not, is being able to afford a home and being able to get a job and raise a family. And that's not possible for a lot of young people right now. So there are much larger issues than immigration alone, although there's no question that the scale of the Democrats victory was greatly assisted by foreign migration. You know, you'll hear a pundits comparing this election to in Reagan or Clinton lost and a lot of seats in the midterms, but there's a very important difference here, which is that our country has become unrecognizable over the past decade or so. Young people are struggling to get jobs and now compete with AI. Social media feeds are overrun with slop, outright fabrications, mass hysteria. Tens of millions of Americans are consuming this garbage on platforms like TikTok and Instagram every second of the day. Plenty of podcasts contribute to the problem as well. Additionally, foreigners now dominate major cities in this country, and they're both desperate for handouts and furious about immigration enforcement. Put it all together and we're on the fast track to become Canada by 2030 with even more third world demographics along with a Democrat president and a Democrat supermajority in Congress. In no uncertain terms, this could mark the end of the country as we know it. It could. Or maybe the more accurate comparison would be to Brazil, which became minority white in 2010 and where opposition candidates have to flee the country after election day. You know, that's what's coming for us if this wipe out in 2026 is the precursor to an even greater defeat in 2028. In that case, no Republican will ever be allowed to win a national election again. Take a look at Texas, which has now been turned blue. Consider this. Is there any path for Republicans to win national elections that does not include Texas? Is there any roadmap to victory for Republicans that routes around Texas? The answer is no. That route doesn't exist. You know, it's like trying to find a way to get to, you know, from New York to London without a plane and without even a boat. You can't get there. What are you going to do? Swim Republicans will be swimming alone in the ocean if they don't have Texas. They cannot be a national political party without Texas. It is impossible. The problem is that Democrats have utterly transformed the demographics of the state through the importation of foreigners and they've done it efficiently and without the slightest hesitation or apology. They're going to do what they need to do to win and in order to win Texas, they had to transform the demographics and so they did. This was the political map of Texas in 2024, Trump won easily by more than 1.5 million votes. In 2022, Greg Abbott won by more than 10% of the vote. Last night, he went down along with Ken Paxson in the Senate. Actually, Democrats swept every statewide office in Texas, including Attorney General, Land Commissioner, Agriculture Commissioner, everything. And there were similar upsets in several other states, including Mississippi. By pursuing an agenda that ignored key social issues and pursuing economic growth above all else, Republican governments throughout the South created a demographic time bomb that has finally detonated in exactly the way that many of us said it would. And here we are. Nothing like this would ever happen in California. No one honestly believes the GOP could ever flip California red, but Democrats have had their sights on Texas for some time because unlike the GOP, they understand the importance of demographics. They understand that after decades of importing foreigners who vote a certain way, your victory eventually becomes. inevitable. And then you have dozens of electoral votes in your pocket forever for all future elections. As a saying goes, in a democracy, demographics are destiny. And that's what we saw last night. Then there's Ohio, where Trump's endorsement of a VEC resulted in another crushing defeat in a once red state. Then there's South Carolina, which also flipped red when the Trump endorsed Republican, Darlene Graham lost in convincing fashion. Darlene Graham is the sister of Lindsey Graham, who of course recently died. What was herp and this is the woman that that Trump endorsed? What was herp to the voters? What relevant experience or qualifications did she bring to the table? Why would anyone vote for her? Why did she earn Trump's endorsement? Well, apparently the answer to all of those questions was that she's the sister of the gay Republican who just died. Her whole pitch to the voters was, oh, my brother was the gay guy who was in the Senate for a long time and died. One of the most crucial races in the country and the strategy was to run a woman with no political experience, no political skills, no resume of any kind, no name recognition, on the theory that voters would support her because she's the sister of the last guy they had in office. A staggeringly stupid strategy, and that was the theme for Republicans across the country and for Trump himself. A lot of staggeringly stupid strategies, kind of like the strategy of Donald Trump to say just last week about gas prices that he doesn't give a damn. Great. Staggeringly stupid. And all of it blows up exactly as any reasonable person would have expected. Now to be clear, if I have, if this clarification even needs to be said, which it shouldn't, I'm not defending anyone who voted for the Democrat candidate's last night. What we saw last night was not a rational response. No matter how much time you spend trying to make sense of it, no matter what you think of how the Trump administration and the Republican majority in Congress handled the past two years, there's no conceivable justification for electing Democrats to replace them. The party that wants to eliminate the fossil fuel industry is not going to lower your gas prices. Okay, the party that wants to flood the nation with millions of foreigners is not going to make the job market any less competitive or the housing market any cheaper. The party that wants to imprison its political opponents and nationalize companies like SpaceX because they don't like Elon Musk is not going to grow the economy. They're going to destroy it. Any Republican who voted for a Democrat last night as some kind of protest vote made a horrifically idiotic decision that cannot be justified either morally or strategically, you cannot under any circumstances willingly hand over your country to people who hate you and your family and your nation and seek to destroy all three. But none of that actually matters in the end, practically speaking, because voters who are disaffected and frustrated with good reason are going to punish the incumbent every single time. Many of them will stay home and passively allow the revolution to take place. We've seen that many times outside history. And therefore, our elected leaders have an obligation to govern with competence, restraint, and purpose. Instead of simply talking about a golden age as they impose massive tariffs that destroy everyone's 401k, they should lower taxes across the board, eliminate regulations, reduce the deficit. Instead of talking about ballrooms or Sean Hannity's paycheck or the asses of various Republican politicians, our leaders are supposed to empathize or at least pretend to empathize with what life is like for average Americans. It's one thing to say no tax on tips, but when you start a war that makes the waiters gas more expensive and you impose tariffs that make his toddlers close more expensive. And when you spend so much time, so much that interest rates have to remain so high that he can't afford his home or pay off his debts, he's not going to vote for you. Even if he presents everything Democrats stand for, he's going to stay home on election day. I'm not saying what I think he should do. I'm telling you what he will do and did in fact do. And that's just the way it goes. So this chart is from Raymond James and you could see how Trump's approval ratings map almost perfectly onto gas prices. It's precisely inverted. As the gas prices go up, Trump's approval rating goes down. This is a reminder that sometimes politics, not that complicated. As being a bad politician has consequences. Do we need a five hour long deep dive to elaborate on that point? Probably not. When a guy has to spend $100 to fill up his truck on his way to work, you're going to have a hard time convincing him to vote for you. Okay? When you make a decision that makes his life measurably worse like the Iran War with now gas prices, you're going to have a hard time getting into a vote for you. He's going to look at you and say, well, you made my life worse. Why would I vote for you? Another way of looking at it is it's hard to get someone to vote for you when he can barely afford the gas it takes to get to the polls in the first place. And that's why it's unbelievably reckless to make a decision like launching a war with Iran that you know will directly raise gas prices. You are doing something that is guaranteed, not maybe, guaranteed to piss off an overwhelming majority of voters because it will make their lives worse and more difficult in a measurable and immediate way. So if you're going to do that, if you're going to not just play with fire, but play in it, throw yourself into the flames and act of political self-immolation, you better have a very compelling reason that you are able to articulate in an extremely clear and persuasive and consistent way. But the Trump administration never presented anything approaching a compelling or articulate or clear argument for the Iran War. They did not make a persuasive argument for it, which is why nobody was persuaded. Instead they vaguely said it was about destroying a nuclear program that they had previously told us had already been destroyed and they said it would be quick and painless and over before we know it. But much like Trump's two weeks to slow the spread, the quick and painless war has dragged on indefinitely. So this is the worst of all worlds. You've done a thing which has had the immediate effect of, among other things, raising gas prices. Well at the same time being increasingly vague and uncertain and ambiguous about why you're doing it, what the point is, what the objective is, what the end game is. Then you got crushed in the midterms. Okay? Acting surprised about that result is like acting surprised that you totaled your car after deliberately driving into a brick wall at 75 miles an hour. Well we've survived another election night, maybe, if you can say that. After several hours of watching results come in, analyzing every possible outcome and listening to people explain what the numbers supposedly mean for our future, I think everyone has earned a decent night's sleep and if you watched our election coverage, you probably noticed that we had quite a few bowling branch moments throughout the evening. It was probably because after a night like that sleep is probably the one thing everyone can agree on. I've talked about bowling branch before. They're betting really as excellent. Their signature sheets are made from 100% organic cotton and they're incredibly soft and breathable. They also make comfortors, waffle blankets and everything else you need to make your bed a place you actually look forward to getting into. With the holidays coming up, I think their products make particularly good gifts. A nice throw blank at a robe or even personalized betting with someone's initials embroidered on it is a kind of gift people will actually use rather than something that ends up sitting in a closet. So whether you're recovering from election night or getting a head start on Christmas shopping, bowling branch is worth checking out right now. You get early access to bowling branches. Best sale of the year. Be the first to shop 25% off plus free shipping and extended returns at bowling branch.com/walsh with code. That's bowling branch BOLL A and D branch.com/walsh code walls for early access for 25% off exclusion supply. Motivation is overrated. Everybody waits around to feel motivated before they make a change. They're going to start eating better when they feel motivated. They're going to exercise when they feel motivated. They're going to finally establish a healthy routine with a perfect Monday morning arrives. And then Monday arrives. The kids are late. Work is busy. Someone gets sick and motivation disappears by lunchtime. This is why I prefer habits that do not require motivation. Balance of nature's whole health system is one of those habits for me. It's a simple routine built around 47 ingredients of real whole fruits, vegetable spices and fibers, three fruit capsules, three veggie capsules, two scoops of fiber and spice. Nothing complicated to remember. The goal is not to do everything perfectly. The goal is to do something good consistently. This is a much more realistic approach to health because real life is not optimized and perfectly scheduled. If you've been thinking about trying balance of nature, this is a very good time to do it. Go to balsanature.com, subscribe to the whole health system. Use promo code walls for 35% off your first subscription order. That's 35% at balsanature.com with code wall. What we needed was an administration with some sense of stakes and some sense of purpose. We probably needed to take some extreme and out of the box measures. Instead of importing a handful of refugees from South Africa, maybe we should have beaten the Democrats at their own game, opened the floodgates from Poland and Hungary, flood the zone with right-wing voters to counteract what Democrats have been doing for generations. Does that sound too extreme for you? Okay, well, then you don't want to win. Do you listen to that and go, "Oh, I can't do that." Okay, well, then you don't want to win. Okay, well, then you're not going win, okay? You're just not going to win. Make a serious attempt at turning California red just as they turn Texas blue, using the same kinds of methods, or you won't win. Okay, they want to make it a minority white country, very deliberately, and we are ruled by Republicans who are too afraid to even say what's happening, much less do anything about it. We needed low taxes across the board, we needed dramatically lower spending, which admittedly would have required some cooperation from Congress. Congress isn't off the hook here, Republicans in Congress blocked the president, almost every available opportunity. We needed no more wars, especially if it's according to exit polls last night, 74 percent of voters said the Iran War was a crucial or major factor in their vote. And 62 percent of those voters sided with Democrats in the election. Instead we bombed Iran on the theory that Iranians would rise up in the streets, overthrow their government, build a thriving pro-American democracy in the Middle East. That was Trump's explicit promise the night he announced that the war had begun, guess what it never happened. And we just kept bombing. Americans never got an explanation for any of that. Will we trick by Israel? Did Israeli intelligence tell us that Iranians would rise up? Why did we think that was going to happen? And if so, why exactly do we believe them? So we've been governed by Republicans who appear to have no interest in actually governing or holding on to power for very long. So we never got any answers. And instead actually we've been treated with maximum contempt. There's a level of contempt that we've seen from the White House effort Trump himself that we never saw before. A lot of touch in a way that he never was before. His handling of the Epstein files was the first major red flag that's, there's a disconnect here. You said you're going to release the Epstein files and then not only did you not release them, but you turned around and said, well, anyone who wants to release them is stupid. Yeah, well, your base cares about it and you can't call them stupid. And then you can't pretend you're releasing them with some weird stunt where you put Epstein files on a binder and give it to a bunch of influencers. You're treating your base like they're stupid. You staged a stunt to pretend you were releasing files and you weren't. That's what you did and everyone knew it. And you treated them like they're stupid, which is something we never saw before. You know, meanwhile, everything Democrats have been doing. All of it has been directed towards gaining power and destroying their political opponents. That's why Democrats have been mocking Charlie Kirk's assassination from the moment it happened. And instead of being punished for it, they've been rewarded. Killing Charlie Kirk helped them. All the Democrats who celebrated Charlie Kirk's death didn't deter any voters from supporting Democrats if anything. It encouraged them. And this is the norm in the third world. And now it's the norm in the United States. The less these people have drawn is that political assassinations work. So from their perspective, why not do more of them? If the government's not going to punish it with a ruthless and widespread campaign of arrests and prosecutions against not just the violent leftists, but the networks that fund and facilitate them. And if there won't be any measurable political consequence, then what's to stop them? Why should they allow any conservative with a large platform to live? If they can kill us without any apparent downside, why not just pick us off one by one? Perhaps those are the dots they're connecting right now. And as they conservative with a large platform, I'm very aware of that possibility. Meanwhile, New Hampshire yesterday, a turning point USA volunteer was assaulted by a leftist boomer. He was slapped in the face simply for voicing his political opinion. Watch this. You have no idea who I am, so how dare you say I don't know much. You haven't presented a single statistic. You either have you. Damn. I cannot believe that bull. You sit there and dare to look me in the face and say I don't know anything. That's what I know. Hey. Sir. Look at me nod. Again, nothing happened to this guy. He knew the Republican volunteer wasn't going to fight back. He knew the police weren't going to arrest him. Leftists and only leftists operate with total impunity in our political system. There are mobsters. They can get away with anything. And they know it. They're already planning their next wave of law fair and political prosecutions. As we watch the election results come in last night, Democrat Congressman Robert Garcia at California posted the following message on X, quote, lawyer up. So as I said, we're turning into Brazil. When you lose an election, you get thrown in jail. You have to flee the country. We've been on this trajectory for a decade and now it's a fundamental part of our political system. The loser goes to prison. You know, if we're going to recover from this and reclaim a semblance of the country we used to have, we need to look ahead to the future of the Republican Party. It's not going to be easy for a lot of Trump supporters to come to grips with, but it's true. The last 11 years, Donald Trump has shaped this country in a more meaningful way than any other modern political figure. That chapter is over, okay? That chapter is over. The Trump chapter is finished. It's over. Trump is an extremely unpopular 80 year old lame duck with no credibility with the voters, no future and now no real power. Under for Republicans one last night, you know, that would still be mostly true, at least in the long term. There he's a lame duck president. He's going to be gone and that's always been the case. Trump has defined the party in the conservative movement for a decade and that is now over. It has to be. The person setting the courts for your movement for the next decade cannot be an 80 year old politician who will be out of office permanently in two years. It doesn't matter how much you like Trump, that's just a fact and the country is radically different than it was before he rose. This means that there's going to be a huge battle for the future of our country. And as of today, it's fully underway. Rhonda Santos is blaming the defeat entirely on the war in Iran, perhaps is a way of distinguishing himself from JD Vance, although JD Vance just put up a tweet where he also very directly said that this was the result of the war in Iran and neither one of them are wrong about that. And you know, you could expect to see other Republicans like Marco Rubio come up with their own explanation, but the direction the party should go is obvious. Many Republicans voted yesterday, but they were motivated by the sheer awfulness of the democratic lunatics. We need a Republican party that people are excited to vote for, not a party that's a lesser of two evils. The best sales pitch you could give for Republicans heading into the midterms and the one I did give was that even if Republicans haven't done much, at least they aren't anti-American and anti-white communists who want to kill you and your family. And that pitch is true. It's also the only available pitch, and it's also a very weak pitch. I would have liked to say that the Republican Congress has done a tremendous job and have achieved many tangible and measurable things for the American people. And we got to put them back in office because look at all these other things they're going to do, but that would require me to lie. I'm not going to do that. Think about that for a second. What if Republicans had retained control of Congress for the next two years? What were they planning to do? What was their plan? What were like the top three pieces of legislation that Republicans were planning to pass if we put them back in office? Can anyone answer that question? Nobody can because they had no plans. You're going into a midterm election with no plan for the future that you're articulating to the voters. Every voter should at least know, okay, if Republicans are elected again, here's the three things they're going to do. That's the most basic pitch and message that you need to have, and they didn't even have that. So we were left only with, well, vote for Republicans. They suck, but the other guy is suck a lot more. And that pitch, which is the only one we can give, just isn't all that compelling. The fact is that when the Republicans are minority, they vote like conservatives, and when they're the majority, they do nothing at all. Voters were sick of that in 2015, and that's why they nominated Donald Trump. Voters were sick of that in 2026, and that's why many of Trump's voters didn't show up for Republicans. Why would they? They passed nothing. They were consumed with infighting. They slow-rolled many of Trump's own nominations. They failed to pass basic, universally popular reforms, like the Save Act, which had the support of 90% of voters, it was a straightforward way to reduce voter fraud. It just required ID when you registered a vote, but Republicans didn't want to abolish the filibuster to pass it, supposedly because they're worried about the protecting the traditions of the Senate. Do you think Democrats are going to care about honoring the traditions of the Senate? How many traditions or norms do you think will be left standing in 2030 if Democrats have control of Congress and the presidency? You're dealing with an opposition that not only doesn't care about traditions, but actively seeks to erase them. These are the people who tear down statues of the founding fathers. Do you think they'll have any compunction about violating congressional norms? to be a viable political party, you cannot simply oppose the other side. You must learn to govern the world power. And that means securing some meaningful victories. Imagine it's Saturday morning and you're going to have some coffee, maybe get a few things done around the house and enjoy a relatively peaceful day. Then you discover there's no hot water. Now instead of relaxing, you're trying to figure out what's wrong with the water heater. Look over to someone who can come fix it on a Saturday and wondering how much this is all going to cost. And the answer, of course, is probably more than you're willing to spend. This is one of the unfortunate realities of owning a home. Things break usually at the worst possible time and your regular homeowner's insurance often does not cover breakdowns caused by everyday wear and tear, which is why I think homeowners should seriously consider home serve home serve offers protection plants for different systems in your house, including options for plumbing, heating, electrical systems and water heaters. Plants started just 499 a month and if something included in your plan breaks down, you can call their 24/7 hotline to start the repair process. One of the reasons Congress does very little support Trump's conservative agenda is they don't support it, especially in the Senate. Many people will rush to tell us that Trump's stance as an immigration and DEI are an aberration. The party has to go back to what it was in 2014. Free market and open borders and foreign wars. The party of Reagan. The thing is, the party of Reagan worked in 1980. It doesn't work in 2026. In part because Reagan granted amnesty to millions of foreigners. For the same reason, it won't work in 2028. Unless Republicans in Congress realize this or more accurately until we start electing Republicans in Congress who realize this, there can be no successful America first agenda. What should the future Republican party focus on? Exit polling showed domestic issues like inflation in the economy were hugely important. It's hard to imagine what this would be like had the Iran War not happen. Had Trump kept his promise to be a peacetime president. But if you watch videos of young voters explaining their decisions, it becomes pretty obvious what our messaging should be going forward. Watch. I'm angry and betrayed. I feel betrayed. Everything that he said has been an empty promise and everything has just gotten more expensive. I was a new voter. I kept out of politics growing up and so I didn't know too much. I was pretty uninformed when I voted. It was promises that he kept last time he was in office that made me want to vote for him this time. Why did you vote for him back then? I mean, I was, I think I was like 19. I might have just freshly turned 20. Just the things he was promising. He was promising a better economy. He was promising cheaper houses. He promised not to get into any foreign wars on the camp, Andrew. One of the things that has angered me is like almost immediately went back on his work. It's making it harder to pay off my college debt and stuff like that. I was doing pretty well for a while. My view of him went down. I'm not a big fan anymore. What? Like I said, he's got money. So he thinks he's got all the power. He thinks he can make the decisions of going to war and he doesn't feel the repercussion because of it. We do. Would you tell yourself to vote differently? Would you do anything differently? I would definitely want to tell myself, told myself to be more informed. I love America, but the America that I was promised as a kid, I feel like it's not the America that I'm seeing. And I know I'm speaking on the behalf of a lot of people in my circle that would have to agree with me. This is what happens when you slap tariffs and everything and then start a war. Prices go up. And especially for young people, even a small increase in the cost of living can be devastating. And when these young people complained about it, Trump told them to shut up and look at his ballroom. I mean, it's obscene. I'm not going to pretend that Donald Trump didn't have any major victories. He reformed food stamps, which is easily one of the most corrupt and fraudulent government programs in existence. He used the military to drop crime in DC and Memphis, without the help of Congress. At the same time, the unfortunate reality is that in democracies, you can be a victim of your own success by closing the open border and getting crossings down to zero. Trump motivated a lot of leftists to take the streets and organize, which is fine. I mean, you still have to do it, even though your opposition is going to not like it. So what? But at the same time, politically, you neutralize one of the biggest issues in the eyes of Republicans. You know, it was a major domestic policy achievement. It's very good that it happened. It may have saved the country at least temporarily. But you've taken that issue off the table. And in politics, it's what have you done for me lately? Hey, well, you did that in the first few days of your presidency. Awesome. What's next? And if you then go around and start a pointless foreign war that hikes up gas prices and costs the living for everyone, you can't point back and say, well, at least I close the border. You know, now that's not to say that good governance is, you know, doesn't matter or is pointless. Some states, Florida, for example, show that consistent good governance over a number of years can transform a state. Florida was one of the few bright spots last night for Republicans. Barely, Florida was able to weather the storm in part because of the foreigners who live there. Many of them are anti-communists from places like Cuba. So they have a lot of foreign voters there, but it just so happens that their foreign voters tend to be anti-communist. That helps them. And many of the domestic transplants have fled from the destruction of liberal policies in places like New York and California. But in addition to the demographics, Ron DeSantis has done a good job making Florida a relatively affordable, safe place to live. And that matters to voters, even in a terrible election. But this level of focus has not been found in other states. Republicans in Texas were no more focused than Trump has been, which is not very much. And what mattered for voters in that state was the fact that Democrats were promising to get rid of the tariffs and stop deporting their friends and family members. Now the deportations were good and needed to happen and should have happened even more than they did, but because Republicans never made a compelling case for why we need the tariffs or why we need the deportations, that messaging from Democrats won. And then you end up with stuff like this. Watch. He says ice raids have had a devastating impact on his bottom line. It's been a one, two, three uppercut type of punch, right? Ever since the administration came in, we had to deal with tariffs, and that put a big blow in our system or in the industry. And then right after that, we had ice raids that were, you know, officials were actually going on site and tapping guys on the shoulder while pouring concrete and picking them up. And then if they were still legal, they'd bring them back or let them go if not, they'd deport them. And I think we all know that the construction industry is immigrant. It's heavy. Could you replace these workers? No. We need people to actually do the work. We need manual labor. We need labor hands. And there is nobody prepared to do that. Kavaso, who doesn't identify with either party, says he's backing Democrats this cycle, and thinks members of his community will follow suit. I think there's going to be a big backlash on the Trump administration. The way they handle this issue, the immigration issue, was barbaric at best. Now the Trump administration made no effort to arrest business owners who employ illegal's. So they feel comfortable going on camera and bragging about doing it. You know, it's incredible to watch. And that's the really remarkable thing about the Trump administration. They weren't even a tenth as aggressive as the Democrats pretended they were. So they might as well have gone all the way because in the end. You get blamed for it anyway. You know, you get blamed for doing for the things you didn't do for being in a right-wing extremist. You might as well be. And that's one of the problems is that, you know, look, you can shut the border, which is a wonderful accomplishment, came to the problem is opening the border is really easy for Democrats. Like that is a temporary achievement. The second a Democrat is in the White House, the border is back open, okay? So they can erase that. So when your achievements are things that can be erased in 10 seconds by the next Democrat administration, that's not going to be enough. Cracking down on these businesses that hire illegals, having actual mass deportations, that's something that at least cannot be undone in 10 seconds. Now after what happened last night to borrowically Shay, America is in a time for choosing. Things are changing faster than ever before, not just politically, but technologically and culturally. Everything is shifting quickly and permanently. America is in a period of transition comparable to the 1960s and the 1960s. And the GOP's role needs to be representing the interests of legacy Americans, promoting sanity, common sense, Christianity, the supremacy of Western civilization, and building on Trump's successes while digging ourselves out of the holes created by his failures. And that means focusing on cultural, social issues, promoting the family, putting America and Americans first, the economy, a foreign policy grounded in serving the country's actual interests. They also need to have answers to the major earth shattering changes that are coming in the future and to a large extent have already arrived. You know, the issue of AI may not have shown up prominently in the exit polls, at least not explicitly, although it is tied in with the economy very much so, and so, and that clearly did show up in the exit polls. But I'll tell you right now, that in 2028, it will be a major issue in the exit polls, if not the number one issue. AI has already begun swallowing up entire industries and thousands of jobs along with it, and over the next couple of years, that process will hit warp speed. You know, there's already a major backlash brewing across the country against the data centers that these trillion dollar big tech companies are plopping into the middle of communities while offering no compensation or incentive to the people who live in those communities. And the anger and resentment over job losses will grow exponentially. So the Republican Party must take this seriously and have a plan. But so far, I'll ask you, just ask yourself this. What is the Republican Party's plan when it comes to AI? What's the plan? It is going to wipe out thousands of jobs that is going to happen, it's already happening, it is a definite. What is the plan for that? You know, when you have thousands upon thousands of thousands of people who suddenly are without jobs, what is the plan? But so far, in a way that perfectly illustrates and encapsulates the mind bogglingly out of touch messaging that God has destroyed, Trump's only answer to the AI issue is to insist on giving it a fun new name. So for Trump, the only thing we have to do with AI or about it is just call it SI. So if Trump complains about the AI issue or raises it all, it's only to whine that the media isn't using the nickname he came up with. His kind of thing is, the kind of charm of just, oh, it's just Trump being Trump. Like that charm wore off a long time ago. And so Trump being focusing on the dumbest bullshit imaginable is not cute, okay? It's not, it's not charming to people. When people are worried about AI and Trump is tweeting about, well, the Wall Street Journal needs to call it SI, I came up with his name and I like it. I mean, if you're a big time Trump fan, you might hear that and still be amused by it, I guess. But most Americans are not amused. Most Americans look at that and he's like, why do you care about that? Why is that the thing you care about? I'm worried about this thing taking my job that I need to feed my family. You have a plan for that? Ask yourself how many voters as a percentage care about renaming AI to SI. And of all the voters who have anxieties about AI, how many of them have anxieties that can be addressed by changing the first letter in the initial? The answer to that question is exactly 0% of voters. Republicans aren't just ignoring a major issue that will become one of the defining issues of our time. They are homing in on the least relevant, most inconsequential, most inventesimally insignificant aspect of that issue, which is worse than simply ignoring it. Now maybe you think that there are no regulations or restrictions we can or should put on these AI companies? Maybe you think it's actually good that AI is going to wipe out thousands of jobs. I disagree on both points, but whatever you think about it, whatever your opinion, the point is that this is an enormously important issue at a source of deep and justified anxiety for regular Americans. And you need to have some kind of answer, some kind of plan, some kind of strategy. Republicans had none. Trump had none. And that was the pattern and that was the theme for this election. If you have no answer and no plan, then your party has no future. And shouldn't. There are things, as I said yesterday, there are things. Think about an average person and they wake up in the morning and in the first five minutes after opening their eyes. What are the things that they're worried about? What are the things that they're thinking about? When that first worry or anxiety enters your mind, and if you're like me, unfortunately, it enters your mind pretty quickly after opening your eyes, what is it? What are you worried about? Those are the things that are the most important. And if you want to be a political party with a future, you have to speak to those things. I could tell you something. Before the war in Iran was launched, nobody in America was waking up in the morning and the first five minutes, they're worried that Iran is going to nuke them. Iran was not entering the minds of any American in the first five minutes after they wake up. Or even in the first 10 hours after they wake up, at no point. And so what you did is you went to address a problem that no one in this country was actually worried about, which is Iran. In the process, you created a new problem that they do think about when they first wake up, which is their cost of living, which is, oh man, I got to put gas in the car today. I don't even know if I have enough money. I better go check the cup holders to see if there's any loose change so I could put gas in my car. And with AI also, I can tell you right now, there are plenty of Americans who wake up and almost immediately they're worried about, like, is this going to be my last day on the job before I get replaced by AI? There's no one waking up and immediately thinking, oh, I hope more people use the fun nickname Trump came up with for AI. So this is the situation we're facing. It is dire, even catastrophic. That loss last night was considerably worse than I expected. And I expected it to be very bad. There's no way around it. There's no positive spin. I'm sorry. There just isn't. And the simple fact of the matter is that it may very well have been merely the prelude to the even more disastrous losses that will soon follow and all of that is true. And we have to be honest and face that with moral courage and intellectual integrity. But does it mean that our situation is hopeless? Are we doomed? No. God is still in control. God is still sovereign. There's no reason to fall into despair over what happened last night. Democrats are still underwater in approval polls. They're not popular either. This is a rejection of an old and fading president, more than an affirmation of Democrats. Things can change very quickly. Two years ago, this was supposed to be the golden age and everyone was talking about how great things are going to be. And a lot more can change in the next two years. There are plenty of omens, but you can't predict the future with certainty. And instead of trying to, we should do everything in our power to undo the damage our leaders have done to the country and present an actual agenda that will make life better for Americans, not foreigners in the Middle East or anywhere else. That's the agenda that got Trump elected in the first place. The America First Principles are the reason he rose to power. The fact that he forgot about them doesn't mean voters didn't. And in two years, those same voters will perhaps see a country ravaged by incompetent socialist Democrats. And maybe they'll be looking for a candidate who genuinely cares about those principles. time between now, 2028, we need to do our leaders have failed to do, rally around America first principles. Put our nation and its people first, always. And in all cases, we need to promote a vision for the country that speaks to regular people and is concerned with their well-being and their flourishing. If there's any way forward for conservatism and more importantly for the country itself, and there must be, then that's it. We need to be America first and always. And we need to win. I'll do it for the show day. Thanks for watching. Thanks for listening. Talk to you tomorrow. Have a great day. Godspeed. While there I used to feel Christ, I cannot feel anything here. They take me out of my bed and they brought me here and they tell me nothing. What have I done? Article 58, counter-revolutionary activity. That is all I know. They have to deal with so many enemies of the state, all of whom claim their innocence, who protest, who cry. There are no answers here. Other than the ones they put in your mouth, you'll break. Today is your opportunity to demonstrate your loyalty to the people. I'd like to know why I'm here. Of course. But you already know, don't you? You must believe in something greater than the party. You will remember your duty. I told you I know nothing. They ground like a fair all-man. You stink of failure. You want me to lie. Still a drunk damn you. They all break. Maybe. Summary:

S. political landscape, blaming the Republican Party’s electoral defeat on poor foreign policy, especially the Iran War, which increased living costs and alienated voters.
