Speaker 3Hello, and welcome to the Urgent Big Sister Podcast. I hope you're having a wonderful morning, afternoon, evening, whenever you happen to be listening to this. How we all do today, guys? This, I am actually re-recording this podcast episode. I originally recorded this podcast on Sunday afternoon, and, you know, it was one of those ones, like, even as I was doing it, I was like, "I'm not really happy with this," but I kind of, like, parried on my mistake. I recorded a podcast after training legs, which is like, "Who does that?" All the idea. Usually I record my podcast first thing in the morning, but I was like, "You know what? I'm going to get it done early in the week, like, it'll be fine." And then I was just thinking about it. I was like, "That's just, it wasn't up to my standard. It was not up to scratch." And you know what? I very much believe this podcast is my baby. I love it. I'm proud of it. And I was like, "You know, if I'm not happy with an episode, I'm going to scratch it, and I'm going to re-record it. I'm going to take some more time planning. I'm going to re-sit down. I'm going to make sure I'm in a better, just, like, energy, headspace, and then we're going to go again. Because this is actually a podcast episode I want to do, just because it's definitely, as you can see from the title, it's more woo-woo. It's a little bit kind of out there. And I think my brain needs to be switched on to talk about a lot of these things. And I think it just wasn't. So yeah, just be glad you're getting like this version of me. Also, I, you know, I looked like ass after training, like, so obviously I was like, "Oh, I'm not going to do like visuals." But I feel good this morning. So I was like, "I'm going to, you know, do this as a visual, put on YouTube because I'm excited to do this podcast episode." Like it's, again, this is one that's very different, like, very out there. It's not really fitness-related, so to speak. But I know you guys love when I go a little bit more woo-woo. You know, like, and look at the end of the day, like, I'm a woo-woo bitch. And I really do believe that a lot of this, you know, woo-woo stuff that I do has completely changed my life. So I'm really excited to talk about it. You know, I've obviously weaved in aspects of this throughout the podcast and, you know, throughout different episodes. And, you know, I always am someone who kind of leans on, like, the science and the evidence. And that's not to say that everything I'm going to talk about today doesn't have any scientific basis or, you know, evidence backing it. But today, I was like, you know, I'm just going to do like a big brain dump of basically the different ways that I think about the world and, like, the kind of mindsets I have and little, like, things that I do just to inject a little bit of, I don't know, like, spice and woo-woo and fun into my life. So anyway, that's what this episode is about, obviously. And so we're here. It's Thursday morning. We're doing a fresh record because I want to give you guys premium, premium level content, guys. And so updates on me, because actually what I recorded today is like, how do I turn on many updates? Because I haven't, like, I had recorded, like, three days earlier, but now it's been a week. So we have had some updates this week from me. So obviously, weekend before last I was home, I was in Ireland. We had a great weekend of, you know, eating, drinking, enjoying life. And somehow, miraculously, my weight literally didn't change. I was, I've been like 156 on average, basically every week for the last three or four weeks. And which is kind of wild because, like, obviously, you know, I've had some weeks that have just been like boring on plan. But then I've also had weeks where, you know, like that one at home were like, I definitely wasn't holding back. I think I've just come to the conclusion. And I definitely feel like there's like an Instagram post in this somewhere. I just need to like figure it out. But I think the longer I've been doing this, you know, the more muscle I have, the better my habits are like the bit, the quicker I just get back to normal, the less these like weekends have an impact on my body. And just the quicker I bounce back, I think my body just settles really well back to where it was beforehand, like back to that baseline. I think my body likes probably this kind of like 155, 156 mark, like it just seems to be a happy place for it to be. So it's just, I was amazed. I was amazed, honestly, it had dropped a little bit after the weekend. And then it just came back to normal, since I got home, got back into like usual food, usual training, again, just settles in that like 155, 156 mark. So it, yeah, it was pretty well, but like also I was really happy even to have my check in pictures. I was actually really happy with those, like, you know, even just a few days back and routine. And I think I definitely have like almost recomped at this way a little bit and Christian sort of agrees. I've just looked better and better. So obviously, with that being said, and my weight kind of like holding, we decided to make a bit of a food increase. So I see we, he was Christian, but I kind of thought that he would. I thought, like I honestly felt like it was time for one. Like the, you know, the last few weeks, I've been like, oh, I really hope he doesn't increase my food, because I didn't really feel like I needed it. But, you know, my appetite hasn't really go, like I've actually been really hungry. And my training has been okay. Like over there, like since coming back from Ireland, like some sessions haven't been great. So it's kind of like, okay, do I need a bit more food like I'm not recovering properly? Because obviously, like my sleep is good. Like I did mention to Kyle. So obviously just keep an eye on my, my training program because, you know, this program, it was kind of like new. And I started it at the beginning of obviously, like my PD push phase where, you know, if you're running like anabolic, like your recovery is going to be great. And obviously now they fully cleared, right? Like I'm four weeks post cycle. So even like primo, like that will have fully cleared by now. So is it just that it's too much from in a handle when I don't have those kind of extra enhancements? Like obviously, we just need to see. But because, you know, they had a few like sessions that maybe hadn't gone so great. You know, just that to kind of set, like look now is a good, good time to increase food. So basically we are now at about 450 carbon, a training day at 400 carbon, a rest day. Oh my god, guys, life is good. I am loving it because there was a few weeks there where I was thinking if he increases my food, like I'm not going to be able to handle it. Like my appetite isn't great. But last week or so, I feel like my body is just firing on all cylinders. Like I'm just, I'm hungry, and like I'm loving my meal. So this is a great place to be. And again, when you take your increases slowly and you kind of earn the food increase, your body will respond really well. Right? Like, and I always say when you're in a building phase, you're not just trying to get your food up as high as possible for the sake of it. You know, I have this conversation with clients sometimes where they think, oh, like they might see me eating this much and go like, oh, you know, should I be eating that much? You know, what? Why is my food that high? But we're all different. And you know, I just can handle a lot of food. I also like, I'm heavy like, well, heavy. I'm heavy as relative. I'm not saying 155 pounds is like heavy. But I mean, I have a lot of muscle, you know, like I have a lot of muscle. So that muscle needs food. And you know, I take my time like building up here. So yeah, I'm happy. I'm delighted. Honestly, I'm just living my best life eating so much bread and rice and pasta. It's brilliant. Sorry to anyone who's like in a prep right now. But also, I'm going to be in prep next year. And I'll be eating nothing. So, you know, the tables will turn the tables will turn. And yeah, that's really it. Feeling good. I'm going to see like how training goes over the next week or two and just kind of keep Kyle in the loop with that. Obviously, you know, I am at this point now where I'm not expecting to progress every single session. I just don't think I can with like training for legs as frequently as I do. You know, and repeating movements all the time, I'm not going to be adding weight and adding reps every time I go into the gym. But I also don't want to see regressions, which is kind of what I've seen like a few sessions there over the weekend. Now again, I had had a heavy weekend in Ireland. She wasn't great. Food wasn't great. A lot of alcohol. So could just be that we will see. Anyway, that's kind of updates on me. Not really else to say. I'm very excited to go to Rome in three, like three weeks. That's going to like I'll be in Rome in three weeks time, which is crazy. That's going so fast. I can't wait. And then one of my friends is actually coming out to visit me next week. And we're going to go into a little day festival in Malaga, the James Jones is playing out. So I'm really excited. I think to me, I'm like, that's the start of my 30th birthday celebrations. And I'm excited. And then yeah, it's just all systems go from there. So excited for August. So so excited. I'm so excited for show season. My girls are fucking they're looking good. They're looking really good. And I'm just so proud of all of them. Like just love it. Anyway, let's get into the podcast episode. So as I've already said, obviously this is woohoo ship that has changed my life. You know, and I know some people are going to listen to that and just kind of be rolling their eyes. You know, like, oh, here we go. Fucking woohoo, spiritual, manifestation, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, right? I probably wouldn't have done the same a few years ago, because you know, I'm a woman of science. But I am still a woman of science. I still believe in evidence. I still, I make most of my decisions based on data. But I have also realized something is that not everything that changes your life can be measured in metrics and data and research papers. And this podcast episode, like, I'm not going to sit here and try and convince you that, you know, angel numbers are real or just close your eyes and make a wish that the universe going to grant you whatever you want. That's not how it works. I am just sharing some of the ideas and some of the practices that have genuinely made me a camera happier, more regulated, and more resilient version of myself. And maybe as a result of that or as a result of the practices, I've also just been more successful, right? And when I say successful, I think you can measure success through the externals, you know, like what I have achieved, you know, financial success and business success, but also success in how I feel on myself. And I think that's even more important is I feel like I feel like I'm living my dream life. I do. I talk about this all the time, like I am living the life I once dreamed of. I wake up every morning and I just can't believe I I can't believe that this is my life. I love it so much. I am doing what I want to do. I have created this, you know, with the universe. Again, I know saying things like that people are going to be like short the fuck up, but it's true, right? Now look, some of these things are psychology. Some of these things I'm going to talk about are philosophy. Some of these things are spirituality. A lot of them are probably placebo. I really don't care. I don't care. You know, you might come and be like that's not like true. That's not scientific. It works for me. It works for me and it makes me feel good and it makes me enjoy my life. So I don't really care what you think. I'm just sharing these things because again, they have worked for me. Now I need to put in a big fat disclaimer at the start of this. I know I am a privileged middle class white girl. I am very aware of that. Okay, a lot of the stuff you're going to hear me say you might think fuck off. Like, you know, it's easy for you to say that like you don't know what like true, like I don't know what it's like to be part of it minority group or anything like that. I totally get that right. So please just take what I'm going to say with a pinch of salt, right? I have had my fair share of struggles, right? I've had to overcome a lot of things. I've had to deal with a lot. But I also like to believe that, you know, through engaging in some of these practices, I've created my life with the universe on my side and two. And again, like to caveat again, right? I'm not saying that, you know, I've only achieved everything I've achieved because, oh, the universe has been on my side, right? No, I've worked my fucking ass off. I have. And one thing that I am really trying to be better at is actually owning that and owning my achievements. I have a bad habit. And I think this is actually a very female thing of damn playing my achievements. I mean, like, oh, you know, whatever. I was lucky. No, I've worked really hard. I worked really hard. But I feel like since doing these things and looking at the world and everything and life the way that I have been, I think that that has completely transformed my life. So it's sort of like, it's chicken or egg. You know what I mean? Like, do I think this way by the world now because of the work that I've done and what I've achieved is looking at the world and the way that I've looked at it, help me do the work and achieve what I've achieved. I don't know. I don't know, right? And I'm not going to, like, that's not what I'm here to talk about today. Like, I just want to talk about the different minds that I have, how I look at the world, the beliefs that I have. Again, I would almost say like this podcast episode is quite not vulnerable, but like, you're really getting an insight into the side of myself. I don't really talk about on the internet and on social media. I don't know why. I don't really know why. I think maybe sometimes I think, like, oh, it's, it's not part of like the niche of, you know, bodybuilder, fitness coach, whatever. And one thing I have to credit Florence Given, because I listened to her podcast and she was saying, like, you know, her show is called Florence Given Show because I'm the fucking niche. And I was like, you know what? That is actually it. Like, I'm not trying to put myself into like a little box. I have all these different parts of my personality. I'm the fucking niche. Emma Curven is the fucking niche, right? I am a coach. I am a wife. I am a bodybuilder. I am also a little bit of a woo-woo fucking bitch. And I love that a bit, myself. So yeah, I know again, this isn't like, I've talked about a lot of the stuff, but I'm excited to share on a bit of a deeper level in this podcast episode. And again, probably get loads of people be like, this girl is absolutely crazy, but you know what? I don't care. So let's get into it. Obviously before we get into it, don't forget to give the podcast a five-star rating. Please, on your preferred listening platform, either Spotify or Apple Podcasts. If you're watching on YouTube, give it a like, give it a comment, share it on social media, tag me at Emma.curven. I would love, like, I would actually love you to message me off the back of this podcast and let me know if anything resonates or lands, like, I really would love to hear. And I'd love to hear right your little woo-woo weird practices as well. Like, I want to hear. I love, I'm always like learning and listening. I love like adopting things from other people. If you're interested in more bonus content, that is over on my Patreon. And if you're interested in coaching and working with me, I'm currently working off the wait list because your gal is works and busy, but you can find all that information and joining team excellence. Of course, I have my amazing coaches working with me as well. All information is in descriptions. Okay. Right. The first, I guess, change in my mindset over the last, I don't know, like five, six years, is how I actually view reality. And I'm going to preface this, like, this is going to be maybe a little bit all over the place. It's going to be in all of the place, but it's fine. Let's get into it. So I used to think reality was objective. And I now realized that it is actually not, you know, I used to think that reality is just reality. Something happens. Everyone experiences it the exact same way, but that is not true. I now believe that you create your reality via your beliefs and via your view of the world. So you have a part to play in the reality you are experiencing. You're not just this objective bystander that life is happening too. And so how you observe reality and the lens through which you look at the world is going to change and drive that reality that you don't experience. So if you are very bought into a perspective, right? For example, if you believe that life is hard, if you believe that things can't change, if you believe that you are stuck, you are going to continue hardening that perspective and hardening reality. And you will look for reasons as to why that perspective is true. You essentially end up manipulating your reality because of your beliefs. This is like this isn't not this isn't very like we're in the sense that like that is I think that is very fented in science. Again, we can look at things like the particular activating system, you know, this filtering thing in the brain. It's a filter in the brain that essentially filters out information and the information that you are looking for is going to be top of mind. So again, if you think life just sucks, life is hard, you are stuck, you're going to keep looking for evidence as to why that's true. And again, you then continue just driving this idea that that is reality, you're manipulating it, right? To give you an example, imagine you have two competitors, right? Both compete, both step off stage, neither of them places. One might choose to observe that and interpret that reality as like, I'm not good enough, I'm never going to be good enough, what's the point me even doing this, right? The other person might look at it and go, okay, amazing, I'm going to go get my feedback and now I know what I need to improve. I can see that I need to grow my clothes, I can see that I need better posing, I can see I need to be more conditioned, right? Same event, exact same thing happens, different reality. Another example, you know, you let's say someone says to you like, oh, nice dress. If you are in a mindset where you're not feeling good in yourself, you might pick up on their body language and you might go, are they being sarcastic? Like, do they actually hate my dress? Am I actually the boldest person on planet earth? Right? If on the other hand, you're feeling good about yourself, you're like, I look sick. If someone says nice dress, you're like, I know, thanks. If you're Irish, you're probably going to go pennies on it. But that's like that it's the same thing has happened, but it's how you are picking it up is determining what that reality looks like to you, right? So the meaning that you're attaching to the experience is then driving the reality that you're experiencing. And this is supported by psychology. Again, your brain, your brain isn't recording like a video camera. As I said, it constantly filtering information through your beliefs, whether and again, beliefs come down to core beliefs of like, I'm good enough, I'm not good enough, I'm worthy of love, I'm not worthy, right? Your core beliefs, your expectations, this is another thing. If you expect life to go a certain way, it's more likely to go that way. If you expect that you're never going to, if you expect that you're never going to like be able to do a bodybuilding prep, probably going to happen. If you expect that you can, also probably going to happen, right? Even your memories and your emotional state, how you're feeling, like I said, in that moment, if you're feeling low in yourself, you're going to interpret reality in a different way. If you are feeling great in yourself, the vibes are high, you're like, again, I don't look, I think speaking to obviously my women here who have normal menstrual cycles, take you at ovulation when you feel fucking sexy as hell. You're like, I am the hottest bitch alive. You know that feeling of just like pride, dwelling up in you and you're just being like, yeah, I look sick, right? I look so good, I'm so, I'm gorgeous, I'm beautiful, right? I think contrast that with like two weeks later when you're in your new deal phase and you think that you're just the worst thing on planet earth and it's almost as if life has that dark cloud around it, right? Again, so your hormones could also be driving this as well, but your beliefs too. and there's this concept in neuroscience called predictive processing. So rather than passively taking in the world, your brain continuously generates predictions about what's happening and then updates those predictions with the incoming sensory information. So what you see, what you hear, what you smell. So we're not just recording reality, we're interpreting it. And that's why two people can have identical lives, but their inner worlds can be completely different and then the world that they seem to experience can also be completely different. And I think this understanding just really changed a lot for me because if what I perceive changes what I experience, then if I change my perception, can I change my life, right? Like if I change the way I view the world and even like this even comes down to, okay, a challenge, a challenge comes up, you know, I used to think that any failure, any setback, any challenge, that was a sign that, you know, I'm not made for this current reality. I'm not, I'm not going to get the job, I'm not going to get this opportunity. I'm just not good enough, right? Now I choose to perceive challenges in a different way. I choose to perceive them as a chance to grow, a chance to take feedback and change my approach. And their reality seems to bend to my will a little bit more because instead of me letting these things stop me, I go, okay, what's the next next way to do it? And then it works out, right? Or are you learning again? And again, tied into this, like belief is sort of this, this is the bit that's probably going to, you're either going to listen to this and be like, you have lost your right or you're going to a little bit, but what it comes to like the meaning of life, everything like that. I believe, I believe I am, I am the universe experiencing itself. Like, I am a particle of the universe of universal consciousness here to experience itself and life. And I'm here to experience everything. I'm here to experience the good, the bad. I'm here to experience every emotion, every challenge, right? And I need to experience these lessons and challenges to level up so that when I like, when I die, that always kind of integrated and I just return back to the universe. I know people are going to hear that I'm being like, you are cooked. I understand. But what this gives me is a sense that everything that happens to me is meant to happen to me, the good, the bad, because I am just energy. Like, I am just energy experiencing energy. I am energy manifest unconsciousness manifested into a physical human being. And I'm just here to experience it all. And this just gives me peace. Like, when things, I look, you know, I know I talk with it. Like, I love my life and everything is amazing. I have bad days. I have challenges. I've experienced grief and trauma. But like, I think I was meant to. I really do. And it gives me a little bit of peace in those moments. You know, if I'm experiencing sadness or loneliness or I'm having a bad day, that's okay because I'm meant to experience all of those things. And to me, like, the universe, the world, like, it's just, that's the world of expression, right? I think this is a quote from Neville Goddard, I think, but he says consciousness, like, the universe is the world of expression, right? So it's consciousness just made visible. And so what matters here is like, the state you occupy, the identity you accept, the expectations you hold, this all changes what the expression is of the world of life, right? And again, to me, what this shows me is that life is pliable, it's moldable. You're not stuck. Well, yes, I think I'm here to experience everything. And everything that happens to me is meant to happen to me. I don't mean that in a sense of my life path has been laid out. And that's just it. I just have to follow it. Like, I think I have a beautiful opportunity to change it and model to an experience what I want to experience. I think when you can understand this about life and yourself, you can take back your power and change things. And that's that to me has been a massive aspect of just my life. You know, I talk to people sometimes and, you know, they'll say, oh, you're so lucky that you have a job like that. And I'm like, there's nothing lucky about it. I just decided, like, I decided one day I wanted my life to look like this. And so I started to take actions to create this life for myself. I decided I wanted reality to be different. I did not want reality to be go to college, go do PhD, get job, work in lab, private company, you know, buy house, have kids. Like, that's not for me. It's not for me. Like, that's not the life that I wanted. And I was just brave enough to fucking go and change that. I was because I realized I can literally make life whatever I want to make it, right? Again, this is at the point at which people might say, like, again, easy for you to say because privilege or whatever, like, it's nothing privilege, but I've worked my ass off to get here. I have worked my ass off. So, yeah, reality is not real. Reality is not real. I don't think it is. I think it's way more moldable and changeable than you think, okay? I'm gonna take a quick water break because your girl is thirsty. Ultra running

Speaker 3Lovely. Okay, so that's kind of like how I view the world. That's kind of like my dominant lens of what I think. And again, even like people might hear that and think like you're like again, a woman of science. Like how can you think that, you know, that like you're just the universe, experiencing self and all this sort of stuff. Because I am a woman of science, like I have studied, uh, you know, I'm a biochemist, like by training, right? A biochemist and immunologist. I have studied in detail how the body works, how cells work, the machinery within us. Do you have any idea how fucking insane it is that humans are alive and that we don't die all the time? Like the order that exists within a cell within life within the body, how an eye cell knows it needs to be an eye cell, how a toenail knows it needs to be a toenail, how a heart like cell knows that it needs to be able to like lead to beating. It's incredible. And you know, knowing that we have evolved from where we evolve from, I just don't understand how you can't think there's something more up play there. You know, one person I heard say this as well is Andrew Huberman. Again, obviously, uh, you know, maybe some controversy about him, but he is a man of science, right? He's, if he fucking is a professor of Stanford, he obviously knows what he's talking about. And he has spoken about, you know, his belief in higher power because, you know, based on everything he's observed, how can you not believe that? And I honestly would say like, I am very much in that camp. Like it's wild to me, even that I ended up alive. At this time, on this planet, with this life and this ability to change my life in this way, it's insane. It is honestly insane. Like, I'm on this earth. That is just like hurtling through space. What's like, it's crazy. It's crazy. When you deep it, it's fucking crazy. Anyway, okay, next one. So the next kind of like we will practice that actually I think is a very strong evidence base. And that has definitely, this one has definitely been a huge one. It has really changed my life is visualization, right? Elite athletes have been using this for decades, you know, Olympians, when I say Olympians, I mean like real Olympians, not like bodies. I mean like the Michael Phelps of the world, right? Professional golfers, yes bodybuilders, perilifters, even surgeons do this. Visualizing success, right? It doesn't actually make us happen, okay? That's just one thing I want to get at there is you can't just sit there and visualize yourself, you know, in your dream life, you know, in a dream apartment or a dream house, right? What I visualize is a lot of the process. So rehearsing mentally, you know, skills situational activities in order to drive the neural pathways that are then going to be involved in actually performing it. So for example, for me as a bodybuilder competitor, I will visualize a lot of like myself on stage in the poses, hitting the poses. If I'm in the gym, I visualize my sessions or I visualize like my sets, right? This kind of mental practice, we know this from the research, it can improve your confidence, reduce anxiety, help with acquiring new skills, and then especially when you combine that with real physical practice, right? You know, before I step on stage, before my heel hits the fucking stage, I've I've already been on that stage hundreds of times, you know, I've imagined myself walking out, smiling, looking at the judges, hitting the poses, how I feel, feeling calm, you know, hearing my number calls, so that when it happens, my brain almost wrecked recognizes it and it doesn't feel different, right? Even like when it comes to business stuff, like I visualize things, like let's say I'm hosting like a webinar or even like before podcasts, like there's a degree of visualization there of future me and how she handles it. And then I think as well is just visualizing the life that you want to create and every single aspect of that life. So again, there's a version of Emma six years ago, seven years ago, she started to visualize a life where she would wake up in the morning and she would work for a few hours early, early, right? She would maybe live beside the beach. She would be able to train whenever she wanted. She, you know, as that vision evolved, she was a coach, she was helping other people, she was coaching bodybuilders, competitors, you know, maybe she then started to visualize having a team with her, you know, all this sort of stuff. Everything I have today, it was a vision in my mind at one point. And it was a vision that I held really close and that I was continually updating. And it's not just the vision of the end results, like I said, I visualize the process, you know, I visualize what my days look like, what that feels like, the emotional signature of the visualization. If you don't ever visualize what you want, I don't know how you can expect to get there. And I think, I honestly think so many people just don't let themselves dream big at all. And they are just so quick to accept the reality they have. And they're just like, this is just me. Like, I'm just going to wake up every one day to Friday. I'm going to work in this nine to five job. And I'm going to be stuck here. And I'm going to, you know, go to the same places with the same people. And again, if that's, I always like, I'm very careful to say like, that's what you want to do, that's what you want to do, right? Like, like, you don't have to be an entrepreneur and move to fucking Bali and, you know, start your own business. Like, you don't do any of those things. But if you're not happy where you're at, don't be afraid to dream of something bigger. Because when you start to visualize it and when you start to dream it, you will naturally start to look for opportunities that will allow that to that happen, that will allow that to be your reality. But you need to visualize what the dream is. You need to, you need to be so fucking clear on what that end goal is with whatever. Again, let's say you want to, like, let's say you're trying to get in shape. You need to visualize yourself looking amazing. Like, you need to get very clear on what that looks like, and then you need to visualize all the actions and habits of that version of you. I've spoken with this before as well, you know, I used to visualize when I was doing my exams for my final year in university. Every time I would be out in a walk, we were living in, well, we were living in near Alicante at the time in my dad's old house. For those six months while I was doing all my final year lectures and then I did all my exams as well. And Shane and I would go on our walk every day around the kind of, like, foothills that sort of surrounded the house. And every day at this particular point on the walk, I would be visualizing the moment where I got my results and I got a first. And then the head of my course emailed me to tell me that I had been awarded a gold medal. So gold medal for anyone who doesn't know, gold medal university in Trinity College, Stilman, you got it if you got over 75% toll for your degree, right? So like, that's a really high grade. Like, they're really hard to get basically. Like, they're really hard to get. But I was like, I had the audacious fucking dream that I was gonna get a gold medal. I did. And so I visualized that every morning, I, her, emanning me, I remember hitting Donnie, I imagined her getting the email, telling me I'd been awarded the gold medal on one day. Obviously, this was after I'd already gotten my results, but one day I was on the walk, literally on the walk, in the same spot where I was always thinking about this, look at my phone, there was an email from her and she was saying congratulations, you've been awarded a gold medal. Now, I'm not saying that just because I fucking visualized that every single day, that that's why I got it, right? But because I had that vision in my head, I worked my ass off because I wanted to be the type of person who would get such a high grade and get a gold medal. But it was just, it was one of those moments of like, almost synchronicity when it happened. I was like, whoa, okay. And now I have other goals that I'm working on that I'm always visualizing. I visualized them on with that. I see these certain things manifest for me. And I just, I just know what's gonna happen. There's not even like so many of these things, there's just a doubt in my mind. I know these things are gonna happen for me because I've already rehearsed it so many times in my head. And there's more, there's another thing I'm gonna talk about in a second, I kinda read it to that, okay? And again, sort of like to do with visualization, but I do a lot of future self-meditations. I would honestly, like go on YouTube, type in future self-meditation and do like a guided meditation. This is one, again, really changed my life. I spoke with this recently on podcast that I did with Zoe, but I used to do this future self-meditation. And I remember one day very explicitly during COVID, during lockdown, I sat down doing it. And I remember afterwards I was journaling about it. And I wanted to have a job where I could wake up and work those few hours in the morning where I could go to the beach in the afternoon and I could train whenever I wanted. And then a few weeks ago I was, it was a Wednesday afternoon, I'd done all my check-ins for the week, I'd finished them at 12, I'd gone to do my cardio in the middle of the day, and then I went down to the beach for an hour. And I just remember it hit me like full force in the chest. Oh, I have actually just lived in that, the manifestation of what I had visualized or meditated on all those years ago. And again, I will still do this now, I will close my eyes, I imagine myself five years from now, and I think, okay, where am I? What's my environment like? Again, we obviously just got married. I want to buy a house, I want to buy a house in a few years, and I think about, I'm starting to think about that house and what I wanted to look like. You know? And I'm starting to have kind of like clearer, clearer visions of like physically what it looks like, but then the version of me who is there, and the version of me who, you know, has her hairs and has her business and has all of these different things, and how does she carry herself? How does she walk? You know, when things go wrong, how does she respond? What do her mornings look like? And, you know, then, and this is where, like I love this exercise, you almost want to like speak to that version of yourself, and actually talk to her and go, like, okay, do you have any advice for me? What do you need me to do today, you know? And there's kind of some interesting research on this. So this concept is called future self continuity. So it suggests when people feel more connected to their future selves, they're more likely to make decisions that benefit them in the long term. So even things like saving money, exercising, studying, delaying, gratification, you know, one thing that I've gotten better at the last like two or three years is, especially for like a financial side of things, you know, I have like a pension now, I do a lot of investing because I started to visualize this version of me in the future who might be financially free and how do all this stuff and I was like, well, I better start doing things now, you know? And so again, I'm not saying that like communicating with this future version of yourself is going to just fix all your problems, but I do think that vividly imagining the person you want to be, it can influence your present behavior, right? And then the way you act in the present is creating the future, you know? When I speak to the future version of me, nine times out of ten, she probably doesn't tell me to work harder. She tells me I need to fucking relax and stop panicking. It's always an interesting conversation with her. I always believe, right? That future version of you, she exists. She is relying on you today to show up like from the first person, like there's a future Emma five years from now, she has reached all her goals. If I have a moment like today, where I'm like, oh, I'm not bothered with this, I just think, okay, future Emma is literally looking back at me screaming at me to keep going. I know that because Emma now, me right now, is looking back at versions of me in the past and I'm like, just do it, like just do it, you know? Like say with me, I want to start coaching, I'm like just fucking do it, like put yourself out there, don't be afraid, I'm screaming at her and I know that the future version of me is screaming at me right now and I'm like, okay, like I need to keep going, so that's it. Okay, next thing is I like to act as if, so this very much comes from Neville Goddard and the Law of Assumption. So if you're interested in like any of this stuff, I would definitely read, like if you just look up Neville Goddard, you can listen to lectures that he's done, you can read stuff, I have read like a whole kind of compilation of one of his books, like all of his books. He, he's kind of like a Catholic teacher in a way, so like some of the stuff is quite again, like a bit of Catholicism, but a most of it isn't and most of it is about the Law of Assumption. So this is like one of the biggest things that he teaches about is when it comes to trying to, you know, manifest things for yourself, create your reality and create your future, you have to assume the feeling of that wish being fulfilled, of that future happening. And your imagination and you being able to imagine that for future for yourself is gonna shape your experiences. Where this kind of stands out to me is basically, if you have a dream, if something, if something is on your mind, if you have a vision for the future, it can be reality because that dream was put there for a reason. But the way I want you to look at it is, you are not wishing for it, you are wishing, you are living from it emotionally. You are acting as if you are living in your dream life. So again, I think the best example I can give here for myself is obviously I have a goal, like I want to be an IFBB Pro. I act like I am already a pro bodybuilder every single day. Every single day, like I act like a pro. Because to me, if I act that way, and I'm in that mode, it's gonna come my way. like there's no option but for us to come my way. Again, I know it's just doesn't just work exactly like that, but that's the way my brain operates. And, you know, over the last few years, I've just stepped into this version of acting like a very busy, a very successful coach, and now that's what I am. Like, I have to be a little bit delusional. I literally, you know, a way that I like to think about is you have to have the audacity. You actually have to live in the end state of that version of yourself that you want to become. And, never got out of it says the outer world announces what the inner man has already accepted. So, if you have already accepted that you are that idealized version of you, eventually reality will catch up. So, this is essentially the idea of scripting your reality, right? You know, you might not be an incredible shape yet. But, if you act as if you are, if you act as if you are the person who is shredded, loads a muscle, feels confident. You're probably going to do the things that will eventually get you there. You will probably track your nutrition. You will probably stick to your diet. You'll probably go to the gym. You'll probably train hard. You'll probably stay consistent. So, by acting as if you are that version of yourself who is an incredible shape, over time, that is the version of you that you create. But, it started from living from the end point. So, again, whether you believe in, like, metaphysics here or, like, you know, how will this end? Like, that is up to you. But, I think, psychologically, there's something really, really powerful here. You know, you have to ask yourself, how would the version of me who already has the goal behave today? Not, you know, how would she feel, like, or, you know, you don't want to start thinking from.

Speaker 3Okay, that version of me, she would show up as XYZ, but like, I'm not able to do that yet, right? Or like, I'm not there yet. No, no, if you, if this goal is important to you, you need to start existing as that version of you right now. You need to ask yourself, how does she feel? What emotional signatures does she have at curry? Again, that's a big one from Neville Goddard and his kind of teachings on a law of assumption is you need to create that emotional signature of the ideal, idealized version of you. So for me, for example, you know, the goal for me is to be someone who is, who is confident, who is self assured, who trusts herself, who owns her fucking power. She, she does not. She doesn't doubt herself. She doesn't have them past her syndrome. So I try and live in that state as much as possible. Again, I'm not living there 100% of the time. Like that's, that's not realistic, but trying to create that version of you emotionally as much as possible. You know, because again, like the version of you, she's probably not going to feel motivated all the time, but she might feel, she might feel demotivated, but she might feel disciplined, you know. So you need to ask yourself like how that version of you is going to behave and then you need to act accordingly from the end point. So again, if you're kind of interested in this whole like acting as if so again, another like exercise that I've done here and that I really, really love is again, it's a, it's like a guided meditation. You could probably look it up on YouTube is if you look at like, never got our eavesdropping, meditation. So basically the idea of this is you're in meditation and you imagine listening in on a conversation of two people that you know who are important to you talking about you having achieved something. Right. So again, like you might listen in and hear somebody talking about, oh yeah, like her business is doing amazing or she looks incredible or oh my god, like let's say you're trying to manifest, you know, like a partner. You might hear them talking about oh my god, she's met someone and they're engaged and they're married and it's the most beautiful wedding, like, but starting to actually like listen to that because again, that's almost creating evidence that this version of you is possible. And then live in it live in the emotion of hearing that being like, how good does it feel to hear that and then keep that emotional signature there. So that's the kind of acting as if again, that's very never got our code it love that another lens I look at the world through is one of it was easy. So this is for my fellow catastrophizers because I used to be the person who very much tended towards negativity, my default setting used to be like, why is this so hard, why is this happening to me, why can't anything just be easy, why can't it work. And you are doing yourself no fucking favors by living in that mode and by that being your default state because again, come back to what I said at the very beginning, you are creating your reality through your beliefs. And so that is how you look at reality and how that is how you believe the world works, it is going to mirror that back to you, you know, essentially, and I probably should have said this at the beginning, but reality is just a mirror of your consciousness. And so if you think everything's awful, everything sucks, oh my God, life is so hard, it's going to be fucking hard, it is going to be fucking difficult. What if instead you woke up tomorrow and you genuinely believed, okay, maybe today is the day like everything is going to start working out. Like, maybe today life is the day, maybe today is the day that life is going to surprise me, you know, opportunities are looking for me to what if it was fucking easy, what if it was easy for me to reach my goals. You know, again, a universe, a sentence I'm always saying to myself is universe, show me how fucking good it can get. Now, is this magically going to make life easier? Of course not, it is not, okay, but it changes the emotional state that you enter a situation with. So instead of expecting resistance, you are open to possibility. And again, people who are open to possibility, they tend to notice opportunities that they might have otherwise missed. So again, it comes back to our expectations, they influence what we notice, we have the particular activating system, it fills us information. If we're constantly thinking, this is going to be hard, this is going to be difficult, you are going to find the hard and difficult aspects of the situation you are in. If you start to say to yourself, what if this was easy? What if it was so easy for me to get in shape? What if it was so easy for me to build a six figure business? What if it was so easy for me to meet the right person? What if it was so easy for me to get a promotion work? What if it was so easy for me to move, change jobs? What if it was fucking easy? How would that feel? It would feel like reality again is just bending to your will. That's the state. And again, I'm not saying that if you just think that, oh, what if it was easy? It would be easy, but I do think it makes life feel more fun. You know, I like to think I've been so blessed with everything I've achieved. And now to think like, what else can you do? Like universe, what can you do? Like I said, the odds of you being alive are fucking wild. You are already waiting just because of that, but now ask yourself, okay, the universe has given me the life. It's given me a life where I'm privileged enough to be listening to like some, some girl who has recorded herself speak through headphones. You are so privileged, if you're in this position, what else can the world give you? How good can it gas and how easy can it be? Like what if it was easy? I think we all know those people who are victim mindsets, victim mentality. They are so draining everything sucks, everything's hard. They are not nice people to be around. How much better is it to be around someone who is positive who goes, yeah, like this is great. This is easy. Everything is working out for me. Best case scenario. I always, I look, I have that, and I still have to work on this, that almost inner feeling of like, what if it all goes tits up, what if it all goes wrong, what if everything is going to go shit? And I really have to capture myself and be like, no, what if everything gets even better? When I started living through this lens, everything funny enough started to get better. Okay. Next thing, the law of detachment. So this is probably one of the higher things I've tried, like I've ever had to do in practice, and I'm still constantly having to remind myself of this. The law of detachment is often misunderstood because people hear the word detach and they think it means you stop caring. You stop caring about your goals, you stop caring about what you're going to achieve. It does it. I care incredibly deeply about my goals. I care so deeply about my business, about my clients, about the growth of my business, about helping as many people as possible, about bodybuilding, about my goals, then bodybuilding, you know, about hopefully becoming a pro about creating this incredible life. Detachment isn't about stopping, stopping to care and just becoming passive. What the law of detachment is about detachment is about not allowing your happiness, your self worth, or your identity to become completely dependent on a particular outcome. Again, EG, will I love to get my pro cards? Yes, it's a dream. I've been dreaming about it for a long time. I've been working for it every single day, right? I sacrifice a lot for it. But I've also reached a point where if it never happens, that's fine. Like nothing's going to change in my life. I still have an incredible life. I still have the best business. I love my business. I still have an amazing relationship. I still have a husband who loves me. I still live in Marbella. I still live on the beach. Like I've built all of this without being a fucking pro bodybuilder. None of that changes if I never wear a pro card. That's fine. like that's absolutely fine. I still wake up excited every morning. I'd still train. I'd still go to the gym. I'd still eat well. And I think because I have that in my mind is there's I don't have this pressure. It actually allows me to pursue it more effectively and enjoy it because I'm not doing it from a place of fear. I need to do this. I have to do this like no one else cares if I fucking with my program. No one else gives a shit. No one else cares. And one thing that really I come back to with this and with the law of detachment is the universe does not like clingy energy. It does not like desperation. It does not like neediness. I need to have this. I have to have this. Everything like I have everything I need right now it's all just about having fun. Seeing what I can create with the universe on my side like no one wants a cleaner like if you're with someone and they're just like always messaging you they're at you like it's like it's repulsive energy. You know this is what I always say to people and like it's so hard you know for example like in business you know like say right now like I've had the busiest fucking two weeks probably ever in terms of like inquiries sign ups like it's been crazy and I haven't even tried. I haven't I've barely been posting about like taking on clients like I'm full I'm literally at my class I'm like please no more and because that's where I'm at the universe it's just like sending people my way whereas when I've been in a mode and you know obviously when you're building building a business there is going to be that kind of hustle time or you're trying to get clients you're trying to get clients and I think the more a hustle and the more I try the less I get you know and it's such a hard one because how do you try not to try I literally I read a book called try not to try recently it's so difficult but I think you almost have to just take a deep breath and just let the universe bring you what it is meant to bring you you know and I think this what comes really comes back to the whole like oil be happy when syndrome you know a lot of people think I'll be happy when I lose weight I'll be happy when I find my dream person I'll be happy when I earn more money when I buy the house when I step one stage but the problem is your brain is going to keep moving the finish line like this is hedonic adaptation right you know when we have a positive life event whether it is a promotion you buy a new car you achieve a big goal we just return really quickly to our baseline level of happiness like we just adapt again I literally just bought a new car brand new Mercedes CLI beautiful first day oh my god it's amazing don't get me wrong what I'm in the car now I'm driving I love it and I'm like oh my god it's amazing but like I'm not as excited as I was a few weeks ago and really let's get I probably go to buy any fucking cards you know what I mean doesn't mean goals are it worth worthwhile but we have to remember it's the pursuit of the goal that brings us happiness versus the actual achievements and so many people finally reach a goal they've been chasing they feel amazing for about two weeks then they need to set another one again I literally do this myself you know everything will be a difference once I achieve X once I do that and then you achieve it and life fucking carries on so I've really started trying to detach from the outcomes oh sorry my camera nearly fell there I really started trying to detach from the outcomes and instead live in the process of becoming that version of me you know like and this is where I think with bodybuilding especially a lot of athletes become very obsessed with their placings and then they just end up not enjoying the process and they just end up kind of suffering the most because their checkings are emotional they're wondering if they're going to be ready on time they're everything's a stress you know like everything just becomes am I there yet have I achieved it yet whereas I think the people who are the most successful in bodybuilding are the ones who just do it because they love it they love training they love improving they love learning they love eating well they just love every single aspect of it their camera and then that camera usually helps them to perform better you know so for me when I say the law of detachment I don't mean giving off what I mean is trusting I trust that if something is meant for me I will meet us through consistent action and if something doesn't happen it just wasn't meant to be part of my story it wasn't you know and now I know that's a personal belief not everyone's gonna agree with it but it really helps me and it's really freeing for me because instead of trying to force life to happen exactly according to my plan I leave room for it to surprise me because things have happened you know I me at 20 never thought that like this would be me at 30 where I would have like my own business like that was never part of the plan that was never part of the plan but by being open to life and being open to the signals I received you know there was a version of me who was made me very attached to the idea of getting a PhD and being doctor I'm a curve and and I had to let that go to find this new path for myself and so a lot of the moments that I they felt like failures at the time you know like even when I first dropped out of university at like 19 right I dropped out of university I dropped out of law like I felt like such a failure but that redirected me towards opportunities I probably never would have chosen for myself because I probably wouldn't have gone and done science and then I wouldn't have ended up going into biochemistry I wouldn't have ended up realizing that I actually love physiology side of thing I wouldn't then have realized that and who knows if I like if I hadn't dropped out of law what I've gotten so into fitness like I don't know you know and so if those failures hadn't happened my life today would probably be a lot worse you know so I think we underestimate how much attachment creates suffering the neediness the clingingness of I must achieve this one specific goal like don't get me wrong this might seem like a contradiction because I've just talked about acting as if living in the in the end result but also be open to that changing that's what I'm trying to get at right and remember that you know when you're acting as if it's an emotional vibration that you're trying to achieve right it's an emotional signature well you might achieve that emotional signature doing something completely different and that's okay but also don't be afraid to dream big I'm like these really big dreams but also know that if life has another plan like this is what I think right I I have a vision of what I would like the next five to ten years to look like but life does crazy things like I don't know I have no idea what's gonna happen and so I just I'm just here like I'm just going for the ride you know okay next this this can be a long episode guys I'm not gonna try and get through this as quickly as possible because I want to talk about these things but anyway next kind of like concept and this is probably one that literally believe my mind when I first learned it learned it and like I just remember thinking holy shit like like life before and after me realizing this totally different things and so this is the idea of the present moment being the only one that exists so this again goes completely back to echo toly and the power of now one of the first self-development books that I ever read okay when I say it out loud now the present moment is the only one that exists it kind of sends obvious ball it didn't feel obvious back then like of course the present moment is the only one that exists like the moment right now where you are listening to me speak and for me where I am speaking this is the only one that exists but like a lot of us we we don't actually live as if we believe this most of us spend our lives mentally somewhere else maybe we're we're playing yesterday we're rehearsing tomorrow we're having imaginary conversations we're arguing with people who aren't there you know we're having these these like like ransom our head we're talking about things or thinking about things that haven't even happened yet we're wishing we did something differently last week but the only moment we can actually influence is just going by or noticed so again this idea is so simple the past only exists as a memory the future only exists as imagination the only place life is ever actually happening is right here right now like you've never experienced tomorrow when tomorrow arrives it's called today you've never lived in the future it doesn't exist you've only ever lived in the present again the past it just lives as a memory and our memories change over time it's done it's gone and ultra running

Speaker 3I think that like I remember reading this and it hit me full force in the face I realize I've been living I I'm someone who would be more of an anxious person I guess and like would be always thinking about what's coming what's next is it's going to work out and again might sound like a contradiction because I've just been talking about living in the future and imagining yourself and everything like that but you're doing that in the present moment you're creating those emotions in the present moment because the goal is that one day the present moment will reflect that vision that you have for yourself I think this becomes really like irrelevant in like fitness like in fitness especially you know I'm always saying to my clients you don't need to think about sticking to your diet tomorrow or the next day or the next day or next month or next year you just need to stick about think about sticking to your diet right now in this moment today because today is the only day that you actually have and even breaking it down this minute like can you stick to your diet right now for this one minute okay great then just repeat that and repeat that and repeat that you know Again, it does come back to the, like, I'll be happy when, you know, like, okay, I'll be happy. I'll be happy after I finish my diet. I'll be happy after I grow my roots. I'll be happy. I'll be happy when I get my procured, right? It's like an endless fucking cycle and your life becomes postponed because you're delaying your happiness until this imaginary point in the future that never actually arrives. But your future is built in the present. Again, you don't build muscle tomorrow. You build it in today's workout. You don't create an amazing relationship in five years time, like you create it through the conversations you have with your partner today. You're not going to build a successful business next year. You build it through the work you're choosing to do this afternoon. Every future you've dreamed of, like, you literally create this, like, one ordinary fucking day at a time. And so that's why the present moment, like, this is where the magic happens, like, it's not happening in the future. It's happening right now. So again, even just this, like, from like a psychological perspective or psychology perspective, this is mindfulness. Like, that is what this is, is mindfulness is just the practice of intentionally paying attention to the present moment without immediately judging it, right? There is so much study on mindfulness, you know, how it can reduce stress and improve your emotional regulation, your own remination, how people become less reactive, doesn't remove of difficult decisions, but it changes our relationship with them. And I think that's a really important distinction is being present isn't pretending that everything is wonderful and everything is perfect, but it's allowing yourself to fully experience what's happening, whether it's always fighting reality or living in a imagined future. So I just, I will just always bring myself back to the present moment and just go, okay, what do I need to do right now, you know, like, right now, the only thing I'm thinking about is recording this podcast. I'm not thinking about anything else. I'm not thinking about, you know, responding to clients, I'm not thinking about planning the next podcast. I'm not thinking about my workout. Every right now, you are getting my full undivided attention. And then when I finish this podcast, I will be done thinking about it and then I will move on to the next thing, you know, so many of us waste hours, years, months in thinking about that thing we need to do, if we just did it now, we, like, it will be done then. This is why I always say just do it and then it's done, you know, like what needs your attention right now, okay, that's what I need you to focus on. And I think being present is it's a skill that I'm still learning and there's days, look, I do definitely live in the future a lot. Like I'm thinking about the future competitions, I'm thinking about launches, I'm thinking about holidays and planning that and I do think that what allows me to, like, have the success I have, but then I always bring myself back and go, okay, but today, like, what's my plan today? What am I doing right now? Like, what is top of mind right now? And I think, again, that's what a lot of this, like, woo, stuff comes down to is like, we're not trying to escape reality, we're trying to be fully present in it. And I think the real skill and the real, like, thing that I'm trying to get across here is I want you to have an amazing vision for your future. I want you to visualize your future self. I want you to talk to her. I want you to have all these visions and then I want you to do something about it today. That's the real key is like, you can do all this woo, woo, shit where you're like imagining everything working out for you best-case scenario and what if it was easy and I'm acting as if and I'm, you know, all that sort of, but you have to actually fucking do things today that's going to create that, okay? So that's a lot of like the mindset that I hold. Now I just want to kind of like quickly run through my daily practices, my daily woo, woo practices that have literally allowed me to change my life. So the first thing is morning fresh brain time. This is something I talk about with clients a lot. When you've been asleep overnight, you wake up in the morning, okay? Your brain has been cleaned, it's been washed, the glimphatic system has done its job. It's taken out all the metabolites. Your brain is so fucking receptive in that first like era when you wake up, okay? What you do in that first hour is completely going to change how the day it goes. So my first hour of the day, okay? I wake up, I make my coffee, my favorite, my morning coffee, I love it so much, right? I read, I journal, I do not look at social media. I put things into my brain that are positive, I allow myself to sit with my emotions with stillness, with solitude. That is massive, okay? Your brain in the morning, I think if you truly want to be in touch with your emotions and if you want to have an opportunity to visualize your dream life without any outside noise, that has to happen first thing in the morning. Everything in the morning, when your brain, again, some people will say like you're in your kind of alpha, alpha brain wave state or delta brain wave state. I don't really care about any of that, I just know my brain is fresh then. I haven't been distracted, I haven't been stressed out, I haven't been put into fight or flight. That hour, like it doesn't matter how busy I am, it doesn't matter where I am, what I'm doing, I will never wake up and just look at my phone straight away. I will always, always, always do something that is just positive for my brain. That fresh morning brain time is, like it is so, so precious to me. No one's taking that away from me, no one's taking that away from me, like it is vital to my happiness. I have, like again, those are the moments within which I have had these visions for my future. These are the moments that I have again created this life for myself. And again, meditations, speaking with my future self, I've kind of touched on that a lot. I'm not the best meditator, like I will say. I've done meditations in the past consistently. Right now, I get more from my older practices, again, like journaling. Obviously, journaling is a huge one for me. I journal every single day, I gratitude journal, nothing crazy, like it might just literally be three things I'm grateful for, how I'm feeling, what my plan is. But then there will be times where my journaling is a bit heavier, maybe I am trying to create certain realities for myself. I will journal about my goals in the present moment, so for example, like, you know, I might instead of writing like, oh, I am hoping to, like, I don't know, be a successful coach, I would write, like, I am a successful coach. You know, that's something I used to write, you know, a lot, I am a successful coach. I'm a coach who has X-Men of clients, I'm a coach who earns X-Men because that then puts me in the present moment of that version of myself. Journaling is one of those things that you have to find what works best for you, but I think the biggest tip is you have to do it every day. You need to do it even when you feel good because that's then how it is going to be there when you feel bad. If you only try and journal when you're not feeling good, you're not going to do it consistently and then the practice just won't really work as much, okay? Another one of my favorite things is grounding, so like going outside and standing on like the grass or just the earth with no socks or shoes on, there's just something about connecting with nature in this way that I just love. I started doing this a lot, again, back in lockdowns, can't really do it as much here because there's no grass, I could do it in the sand, but obviously I can't do it during the day in the sand because the sand is too hot and I also just don't like sand, it means very honest. I would really, again, my future house, it has a garden and it has grass so that I can do this. But I think just being in nature, like for me, especially the ocean, holds a lot of, like it holds a lot of weight for me in terms of just bringing me back down to earth, I will do this and just sort of, it sounds weird, but again, it sounds weird, but I like to look at the sea and really contemplate the reality of just existence. So you know, I will look at the ocean, I will look at it moving and I will think, well, that ocean has literally been there for thousands of years, hundreds of thousands of years, millions of years. The same particles of water that are now in that ocean have probably also been inside my body and inside other people's bodies and, you know, the oxygen atoms, the hydrogen atoms, the carbon atoms that are moving around and they're all moving into my body, they're creating this vessel and then that's moving into somebody else's body. I just get like, whoa, like again, I'm a speck on a floating fucking rock. So if I'm feeling really overwhelmed and I really need to just like get some peace quickly, I will like go outside, no headphones, nothing and I will just like look at the sea and I will just watch it go in and watch it go out. I will look at the stones and the beach and go well, like that stone probably existed for fucking millions of years as well. It's changed shapes, it's grown into sand. It started then going back into the ocean, it's solidified as a rock, like I love that. I love that. Okay. Obviously I listen to podcasts, like I wouldn't say that's an essay, woo-woo, but like some of the podcasts I listen to are quite woo-woo. I do listen to a lot of like high vibe music, so like again, if I'm feeling some type of way, I will research like, you know, high vibe playlist and I will just put that on and I will just like try and bring up my kind of energy levels, again my like inner vibration emotional signature, I can talk about this in a sense of like, this is your mental diet, like you have your physical diet and food to eat, impacts how your body feels, but what you consume also really impacts how your mind works. So again, try to spend less time on fucking social media which can be toxic and draining and listen to things that are going to put you into a positive emotional state. That's why I read like books in the morning, books from philosophers like from different deep thinkers to help with just creating better narratives within my own mind and within my own brain. I give the voice to my head a name, I'm not going to tell you the name because it's just like anybody is called that, but when the voice in my head is being negative as fuck, I remind myself that voice is not me, I've talked about this a lot on the podcast so I'm not going to go into this too much, but that voice in your head is not you, it is conditioning, it is conditioning from your childhood, from peers, from colleagues, from just society in general. That voice is not you. And so when you notice that voice starting to be very negative, you know, for me when I notice that voice being negative, I just go, okay, the name and I go, I'm just not going to listen to you right now. What this does is it basically, it's called cognitive diffusion. So cognitive, cognitive diffusion is the ability to step back and witness your thoughts, giving your voice. The voice in your head a name allows that to happen because you almost separate yourself and you're like, okay, that's not me. That's not actually me. You're not the voice. You're the one observing it. Again, Eckertolley, Power of Now, a new earth, if you want more on that, go and read those books, but like, it is, again, I remember the day I realized the voice in my head is not me. And I was like, oh, my God. And it's per, it's pernicious because it sounds just like you. It sounds just like you, but it's not you. You're the one observing you get to decide if you listen to that version of you to that voice, okay. Next thing I wouldn't say again. Well, no, obviously, is it we will. My reasoning for is we will is I don't watch the news. I don't watch the news. So there's there's a book. There's a book called Reality Transurfing. It's fucking huge. I am not going to recommend you read it. I think it's like 800 pages long and it's dense and it's heavy. It's all about Transurfing reality. So creating a reality that's in line with your manifestations, essentially, right. And he in this talk to it, this idea of pendulums. So pendulums are essentially these thought energy structures created by large groups of people that share the same emotions. So again, things like corporations, media political groups. And so these pendulums feed on your emotional energy, whether it's positive or negative and try to pull you into their agendas. And you can neutralize them by detaching so not reacting emotionally or buying into their drama, okay. Basically, my, my idea here is say like news, news stories, right. That's a pendulum. That's like trying to get people to buy into this story, this narrative about like the world and what's going on and stuff like that. If you feed into it, like you just add to it, right. The way I look at it is if something is important enough to affect me, I will know about it. If it's not going to affect me, I don't need to waste my energy on it. Now again, there's going to be people who listen to this and go, that's very ignorant. That's very privileged. That's fine. If you think about me, I really don't give a fuck. What is the news? It's negative. It's all negative. When I'm home, like when I'm at home in my house in Ireland, like my mom always has the radio on and it's always news. It's always news. And I'll turn it off. She's like, why are you turning off? I'm like, I don't. I'm not even though I'm not listening to it. I don't want the fucking moaning negative energy coming from the radio. Like, it's miserable. I'm like, again, she'll be like, oh, I see this. And this is awful. And I'm like, no, I didn't. And I don't care. I don't care. I don't want to know. If it's important enough to affect me, I will know because it will affect me. But like, why would I waste my energy feeding into these negative narratives. For no reason, I just don't ever, again, started doing this in lockdowns, because it was just constantly checking like all the news stories are awful. Just constantly checking, constantly checking. And I was like, this isn't actually serving me whatsoever, whatsoever. So I stopped. And I literally haven't. I am so fucking clueless. I'm so clueless. I love it. I love it. I live in a bubble. I do live in a bubble. Don't care. I don't care. It's like even like, just like popular media. I don't know. I don't know anything that's going on. And I love it. I live in this little bubble. It makes me happy. Again, you might think, oh, you're like so ignorant. You know, you should care about XYZ. I don't know. Like, you say you care. But like, you just like posting a fucking Instagram story. Like, are you doing anything about it? Do you know what I mean? Anyway, okay. Last one. Jesus, it's been a lot of this way longer than the first one I recorded. I've definitely been on a way better headspace today to record this. So this is the one that's probably going to be this in the news one. It's probably the one that's maybe going to like right like people aren't going to like this one. I don't know, but if I don't know. I very much invest in manifesting my dream life. So what I mean by this is I'm not afraid to spend money on little luxuries. You know, like, just even things like, you know, I've flown like business class. You know, if I have to go on a long, half light, I'm going to fly business. I probably will. I'm sorry. I can't. Like, we want to go to Australia next year for a honeymoon. I'm not fucking flying to Sydney. In economy. Right. I will go business. I, again, I have like a nice car. I spend a bit more money on my car. I always get like fast rock. I always pay for convenience. I spend money on these little luxuries because I think this tells the universe that I'm worthy of receiving it again. I know. Jonas, I don't know why I feel so uncomfortable talking with this. Like, I work really hard. I work really, really hard. I'm like, I earn a really good like living. I know I do. But I almost think there's like such a shame around this. There's this sense of shame around money. I don't know if it's a female thing, an Irish thing, a Catholic thing. It's like all of them. But like, like, you'll never really hear me talk about like money and I ordered like wealth and success because it feels braggie. It feels like, Jesus, like, you know, how, but like, I don't know. It's something I'm really trying to work through and like own a little bit more. But like, that's more so in the outer space. But when I say, like, I do a lot of these things privately. You know, like, I have expensive bags and stuff like that. And I buy these things. And I buy these luxuries. Not because I'm stupid with money. But because I am the, like, I want to be the type of person who can afford those things. And I am the type of person who can afford those things. But like, I have to be willing to invest in those things. So the universe sees it and goes, okay, you know what? Like, you are that person, like, you can afford, like, I'll leave you for Tom Bag. You can afford to fly business. You can afford that. And so then I'm afforded opportunities to allow me to create more wealth. Again, this is when those ones, I know some people are just they're not going to like, if they're not going to like me saying that because you're like, well, you need to have money in the first place to invest those things. I get it. I do get it. But again, I work really hard. So like, I can spend my money how I want. I'm also smart with my money. Like, I invest in stocks. I have a pension. Like, what? Fucking weird. But anyway, I do. I invest in like little load trees. Sometimes, sometimes not all the time. Like, I'm not stupid. And I'm not flashy about it. And I'm just buying all the shit just so I can post it on social media. Again, I don't post these things on social media because I don't want people to see it be like, like, all right. Again, that's like a weird, like, block for me that I'm really trying to work on. But even now, literally, me saying this, I feel so uncomfortable, which is so silly. Like, if I was a man, if I was a man, you would know how much I earn. Like, let's just be so fucking real. You would know exactly how much I earn, but I will never tell you. Cause that's it key to me for some reason, for some reason, whatever that is. Well, maybe I need to go and talk to somebody about that. Anyway, I do invest in the little luxuries. I feel like that's me been like, see, universe, like, you can keep taking care of me. All right. So that is kind of everything. That was beefier than I thought it was going to be. Again, this is one of those episodes. Some of you guys are going to listen to this and be like, you're cooked. Some of you guys are going to love it. You're going to absolutely love it. So if you did love it. Thank you. If you didn't like it, thank you as well. Because you've listened to it. So if you're giving me what I need at no jokes, but look, if you have any of your own, like, woo-woo things, angel numbers as well. I probably should have talked to me a little bit. But again, that's just kind of one of those ones. Like, if I see a repeating triple number, I'm like, ooh, that's the universe. Give me a wink. But again, this is more so like my view of the world and how I view reality and how I feel like I've shifted and created reality to be what I want it to be. That's kind of what I wanted to get across. So I hope you've enjoyed it.
