Ep#08 The Fractional CFO playbook: what it really takes to make the shift with Camelia Morjolic

Dr. Yee Song shares insights on stem cell therapy as a transformative, proactive approach to health and longevity, rooted in traditional Chinese medicine principles and modern science. She emphasizes that treating aging-related conditions early—starting in the 20s or 30s—can prevent chronic pain, surgeries, and tissue damage, significantly improving quality of life. Unlike conventional Western medicine, which often reacts to symptoms, her holistic model addresses root causes by viewing the body as a system in balance. Stem cells act as a “jump starter” to boost natural regeneration, particularly beneficial for people with injuries or degenerative conditions. The therapy is effective across age groups, with success stories including a 78-year-old man who regained mobility after years of failed treatments. Dr. Song highlights that stem cells work best when integrated with broader lifestyle and mental well-being practices, not as isolated solutions. She stresses the need to shift societal focus from extending lifespan to improving healthspan—ensuring people live longer, healthier lives. Her work aims to educate the public on ancient wisdom combined with modern technology, making preventive health accessible and affordable for all, especially older adults on fixed incomes. The ultimate goal is to reduce healthcare burdens, empower individuals to age with vitality, and foster a cultural shift toward holistic, proactive wellness. The podcast also includes promotional content for Crown Coins and Loonstark Casino, which are unrelated to the medical discussion.

Let's welcome Dr. Yee song to the show Dr. Song. Welcome to the show. You're so thrilled to have you I'm so thrilled to be here. Oh Thank you. Thank you. So let's just get started out By just sharing with the listeners what inspired you to To explore stem self therapy As as as as as a treatment. I Was always interested in helping people live healthier and longer without suffering of Aging related degenerative conditions. So even while I was six years old I wanted to help people solving the fundamental causes of disease especially conditions related to aging because I witnessed my grandmother Suffering from type two diabetes running in my grandmother's family and Around the time when I was born she was already almost blind and For the lens of the time I was was heard Until I was maybe around 16 years old. She passed away. She actually was completely blind So that's the reason why I was also motivated to Find solutions to solve the fundamental problem issues causing disease That's why I chose to study pathology initially because I thought Western medical pathology study can't really study It does cause of the disease But then it turns out the Western medicine approach is now really Finding the root cause is more like looking at One tree instead of the whole forest. So since I oh I was also Influenced by my family's traditional Chinese medicine Part growing up. So I was also very into ancient Chinese philosophy and practice about health and longevity That's why I actually switched from pathology to traditional Chinese medicine Because I felt the philosophy and the practice in ancient Chinese medicine actually has deeper Deeper and more profound approaches than the Western medicine So that's why I actually started my holistic clinic Mainly using traditional Chinese medicine herbal medicine because I really believe in The natural healing power of your own body With the help of the natural remedies that has been around for thousands of years and also That's why I you know started writing the book trying to combine ancient Wisdom with modern technology, but I wasn't introduced into stem cells until the six years ago And I wasn't really looking for stem cells But I was introduced by chance because I already have my retreat in Colombia, so then I was introduced into this lab Expanding my son come with stem cells from an biblical court in Colombia But right around that time my mother also has certain condition that we couldn't find solutions to And my mother has been benefiting from Using natural healing natural therapies since she was Turning 50 years old because before that she was now doing any of those things But then since she turned 50 I began studying all these things and began utilizing all these things So and also she started having all the health problems just like a lot of people Going into menopause, so that's when We started helping her adjusting a lot of her lifestyle and also including giving her herbal supplements To help her osteoporosis But then around six years ago that particular condition we couldn't really find a better solutions to solve that issue And right around that time I was introduced into stem cells and I gave her the stem cell treatment That within the month solved her lower leg issue and prevented her from having ulcer and eventual amputation So since then she has been having getting stem cell treatment about twice a year for various issues and to help her Quality of life. So I find it's really works very very well for my mother and I felt her condition was so Was a kind of condition that was very difficult to treat and there there were not a lot of good Treatments, even Western medicine and I've seen a lot of other people having similar conditions of hers And they didn't get stem cell treatment and some of them eventually had to have an amputation and some of them got very That circulation from the laser ablation or even from the stent treatment offered in conventional Western medicine Treatment for these type of conditions and none of those really worked well for other people I have seen But for my mother even though she has so many issues including this problem and also she has this genetic familial predisposition to diabetes like my grandmother, but my mother right now she's not on any medications any high blood sugar high cholesterol or high hypertension so basically for her case I think it proves that if you Start utilizing stem cells now waiting until the last minute and sometimes even the last minute can give you some effect but The best time is to do as early as possible. So that's why I myself I'm actually doing stem cell treatment myself Two or three times a year as well And I don't have a lot of problems and I don't have any autoimmune or any neurological conditions, but I do it for anti-aging purpose. So in my book, I actually talk about early prevention as one of the six principles from the ancient Chinese practice. So that's why I think it's very important for people to realize you don't want to wait until the last minute. But our traditional environment in our healthcare system is always like we wait till the last minute, we wait till the symptoms appear and then we've already tried so many different treatments in Western medicine, they don't work, they fail, then we think about something outside of the conventional treatments. And that's like now really early prevention because the Western medicine health system right now is set up just to be reactive and to treat the disease when the symptoms are already severe, they're now really addressing the early stage of imbalance. Oh, I see. So yeah. And that Western medicine method seems to have taken a more reactive approach versus a proactive approach in early prevention, which kind of alludes to my next question, which I think you've answered. At first, I thought this was for people who were middle age to older than middle age for anti-aging and so forth. But it sounds like this could be treatment for just about anyone of any age. It sounds like, I mean, for instance, if we had someone in their 30s, let's say, their early 30s, but they suffer from chronic body pain, you know, would this be something that could be effective for them? Yes, absolutely. And also, I actually have treated people in their 20s or even teenagers because what these treatment do is actually to give your body a boost. There are more like a jump starter for your car. And your body needs this kind of jump start to start heal itself to awake your own body's regeneration power to heal itself. So sometimes your body just doesn't have this push even though you're in their teens or 20s, if you get some kind of injury from doing sports. And if the injury is severe enough, that's when these people younger people are looking for stem cell treatment. Sometimes they get ankle injury, they've already had multiple surgeries. And then it's now solving their problem. So if you actually use stem cells, even when you crown coins for signal, winning never sounded so good. What would you do if you want big? Had crown coins casino, real people win real prices every single day. Hi, this is Michael from Georgia, I won 40k and finally renovated my home. You have these conditions, anyone when you're only in your 20s or 30s, it still can benefit you tremendously because it can prevent you from going through multiple surgeries, getting a lot of scar tissues from the surgeries. And then maybe when you're young, you don't feel a lot of pain or ache from all these injuries and surgeries. But then when you reach 40s and 50s, that's when all these old injuries can start hunting you because you have all these scar tissues and then you have crowning inflammation from the aging. So that's why it's not just about people in middle ages or older, but I would say maybe 60% of people looking for stem cells, they're older mostly in their 50s, 60s or even 70s. But people in their early 20s, a lot of them, they're more open to this kind of treatment because maybe their younger generation, they are influenced by social media. They are more open-minded because they are more influenced by many alternative ideas instead of just following the traditional Western healthcare system we're used to. I see, I see. So these natural, genuine, traditional Chinese medicine methods, Eastern medicine, for thousands and thousands of years, it's been proven through generations in the East that this medicine is effective. It's holistic. It can be used in a proactive manner to prevent pain, to prevent chronic illness and that sort of thing. So what do you think is, I want to see where do you sit in your thoughts of the idea of traditional Chinese medicine spanning across the globe over thousands of years and where it's at today in terms of a global presence? Is it something well received now more so than 30, 40, 50 years ago? Do we still have a long ways to go for people to be educated on traditional Chinese medicine? Where do you sit with that Dr. Soh? I feel, you know, I'm only 50 years old so I don't really know what it was like before my time. But I can tell you, even in China, where all these things originated from, people still have this kind of, you can call it delusion or misconception. They think Western medicine is more advanced than Chinese medicine because they think it's size, it's modern technology. And I think even in the United States and a lot of other Western countries, people, you know, there are certain percentage of the population who are drawn to ancient practices, not just Chinese, it can be Indian or even Tibetan or all these ancient practices, they actually have the similar concepts. So people who are drawn to these philosophies, some of them, they actually studied it and they really understood all these things very well, I've come across people like that. But then there are also a lot of people, they don't really understand the fundamental philosophy of it. But they, some of them, they're open to it because they benefited from it. And they don't really understand a lot of the fundamental approaches and philosophy and the lying of these practices are to look at your whole body as a garden and try to address imbalance before any symptoms appear. So you have to really understand where your imbalance is. And also you have to understand most people, or I will say 100% people are not born with perfect health. Everybody has their own weakness, access, strengths, deficiencies. So we don't really talk about that in our society or in our conventional healthcare system. We don't really look at people from births, oh, what kind of deficiencies or what kind of weakness they have even when they're a baby, to understand their body from the births and then post-natal life how we can address in our post-natal lifestyle, to alleviate the weakness we carried from birth and then to strengthen the weakness so that then we have more balance. So So these, all these things are now talked about much even nowadays. So even in China, some people, they would go to traditional Chinese medicine practitioners when they have certain conditions that they feel they cannot get any solutions from Western medicine. I see. But still, I would say more than 60% of the population in China right now, they're still the first thing they do is to go to a Western medicine doctor, just like any other broad, any other people in other countries in the world. Oh my. Yeah. Okay. So there is of the mindset to your point earlier, people leaning more towards the Western and type of medicine because they're thinking cutting edge technology and so forth. And then there's other people, US citizens included, that tends to think that Western medicine is getting too synthetic, you know, and with synthetics in our bodies, you know, do we even know what the long term repercussions are for those versus on the other side of the coin, Eastern medicine practices, there's holistic treatments, they're natural, and they've been practiced for thousands of years. So there is some knowledge there in terms of long term repercussions. Is that is that accurate, Dr. Yeah. So that's why the best approach is to combine the ancient philosophy and concepts with modern technology. So that's how I realized after I started doing stem cells since six years ago, because the concept of using stem cells to give your body a boost in ita aging or even treating aging related conditions is now new because in ancient Chinese practices, they were already using placenta and other things to help your body recover faster. So it is a very old concept because in ancient Chinese practices, they already knew the babies and medical core placenta has this extra energy that can give to the aging body to help it regenerate better. But they just don't know, they just didn't have the technology to isolate the particular cells to study how these cells function, so that's why, you know, so combination. Yes. So we use this concept and then we have this modern technology now to isolate particular type of cells that can actually really help, actually is to stimulate your own bodies stem cells to regenerate because your own body stem cells age with you. So the ability to regenerate to repair declines, that is inevitable, everybody has that decline. Right. So what you can do is to slow down that decline and also you can give your body a little bit boost from these actual treatments from the modern technology. But you use the ancient concepts, combining with all the things together to help your body have a better balance and also to help your body regenerate a little bit better than your average, then you don't need to accumulate the damage from the decline. Then you can actually have better quality of life, you can have better energy when you age instead of suffering from pain, from joint issue, eventually have to have joint replacement or even suffering from a lot of other aging related conditions. So I believe it's not like you can live forever or you can live to 180 years old like some biohackers are hoping right now, I really don't believe in that. I always believe in the natural way of life cycle and in the natural cycle we have beginning and end, but we can have an ending that is even the day before we go to the other world or whatever religious belief you have, we actually can still enjoy life to the last minute because if you read about some people, like oldest people still alive or just passed away recently, like a French woman who passed away two years ago, she was like 119 years old, so they actually were in pretty good health up till the last minute of their life and they basically passed away in the sleep. So they didn't suffer about all these conditions like a lot of other people they had to stay in the hospital, getting on life support, sitting in the nursing home, really cannot enjoy the last 10 years of their life even though we can extend the lifespan, but we're not extending the health span. I knew that big trucking companies, they do whatever they want, so I definitely wanted to find someone that could help me out and make sure that I wouldn't get the end of the stick. In his crew, they let the wait the whole time, they fight tooth and nail for you. I hope I never get it to never accident, but if I do, I'm calling them. If an 18-wheeler took you out, call me, I'm GMM, I'll fight tooth and nail for you! 214 or 817-320-1111. Thank you, son. And we need to extend the quality span, right? That's a major part too. I mean, it's one thing to say, if we are, say, 90 years old, and we have body aches and pains and so forth, that we can live another 10 years, that's all well and good, but if you're living those additional 10 years without any improved quality of living, then you're pretty much in the same place that you were 10 years ago, you know? I know. Yeah, so that's absolutely incredible, Dr. Song, and you touched on a part that I wanted to talk about now is quality of life, okay? Because I would imagine that a lot of your clients have found like a new lease on life when they have gone through these treatments and they feel maybe 5, 10, 15 years younger and want to or maybe consider taking a new hobby or a new sport that, you know, their body otherwise couldn't handle before the treatment, that they feel good enough to do even something as simple or as subtle as, like, say, pickleball or maybe golf. Yes. Yes. So like most recently, I treated this guy who's 78 years old and he actually injured his foot from playing tennis. So even though he's 78, he still plays tennis. But then he had this foot injury from playing tennis that he couldn't play for six months. And he already went to pediatrics, already went to orthopedic doctors, got steroid injection, got PRP treatment. So he's already tried many things but then finally he decided he's going to try stem cells. And then also, you know, when I treated him, I really tried to find exactly where his problem was. And before he met me, he said when he got all those steroid injections and other injections, he tried to heal himself. He actually got those injections on the side of his foot, but then his actual problem was on the bottom of his foot. So a lot of people told him he has plantar fasciitis, but in reality, I found out while I was treating him, basically, he had the tear from playing tennis. And then over the six months period of time, that was never healed properly. And also because he is 78 years old, so he's his own body ability to repair that was also significantly reduced without any extra help. Yes. steroid injection, which is the typical treatment you get when you get this type of injury, that is only addressing the symptoms. It doesn't address the root cause of your problem because the steroid can reduce inflammation in the area, but it doesn't do the repair. Right. And if you get many steroid injections for tendon and fascia issue, it actually weakens its proven, even in Western medicine, steroid, cortisol injection can weaken your tendon, your connective tissue, can make your fascia actually even more prone to further injuries. Mmm, it adds up over time. So that's why there were a lot of athletes, they were when they were younger, they had multiple injuries, and then they got a lot of steroid injections. Of course, when you were young, your body could compensate better, but by the time you reached 30s, 40s, your body can now compensate about these things anymore. And you had so much steroid injection that has weakened your tendon, your ligaments, your tissue. So you were actually even more prone to having more injuries because of this. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense, and you're right. I mean, your ability to recover as your older is significantly lower than someone in their teens or early 20s. So, and that's when the damage, I guess, becomes more visibly known for someone who has repeatedly taken cortisodes shots, I guess morphine steroids, things like that. So that's fascinating. That's truly fascinating. And what you found out regarding the tear in his plantar fissiitis or the tear from the injury from plantinous is, I mean, that's very revealing in and of itself, of, you know, just how you can target the root cause of the pain and do something about it. And that just improves their quality of life, 10 fold to where they can continue doing the things they love. And speaking of love, Dr. Song, I would love if you could just give us some insights on how this type of treatment can also affect relationships between people, relationships between families, couples, you know, just different relatives and how there could be a positive impact on relationships. I think for a lot of people, when they, couples, when they get older, they also have this sexual function decline from the aging. So actually, this type of treatment can help that aspect as well. So I think that aspect also can put tension between the relationship. But of course, we can also go beyond just the physical part of the relationship, the, you know, emotional or mental health part of the relationship. When you actually apply the ancient practices, principles into your life, you can actually view life in the better perspective, because we don't look at the life just as what it is. Right. It's more like you actually take a proactive approach, even in your own life is, you know, it's like the whole aspects of your life, the physical aspect, the mental aspect, the work, the, you know, relationship, everything. If you look through a holistic lens instead of what we're very, most people are very used to just looking at certain moment, looking at certain stress, stressor, that's causing them having a lot of stress and anxiety. And a lot of time, if you can go above that, using, utilizing the ancient practice and principles, that's why I write these six principles. So the other three principles we haven't talked about will be, you need to follow the natural flow of your body. And you need to address your conditions holistically, now just thinking, you know, stem cell can be a magic bullet. Right. So even for your life, your work, you have to use the same kind of principle. So I actually did another podcast with somebody else. He actually coaches people about their business, their finance. So he said, you know, even in your own finance, your work, your life, if you apply these principles into all aspects, your life will be much better. Yes. Much healthier. Yes. Because our physical health is affected by our mental health. And if we can now look at the whole world, our life in a more holistic perspective, then we get really trapped into certain condition. And then that's why people get anxiety, depression. And then they can now get out, get out of that trap. And then as when over long term, you actually accumulate damage to your body physically because of this mental stress. Oh, sure, that's the mind over matter, right? Where you are, you're feeling pain or you mentally, you have something that's just not quite in balance. And it doesn't feel right. And if it goes untreated, then it starts to starts to drift over into the physical realm of who you are. And you know, I've seen people who have from deep depression have gotten the flu or pneumonia, just from being depressed, deeply, deeply depressed. So I could see how that mind over matter is incredibly powerful. And to address your physical, your physical health definitely has an impact on your mental health when you improve it for the better. Yes. These are some incredible insights, Dr. Song. And I'd love it if you just share for the listeners two things. I think you kind of alluded to one of them. Number one, the primary message behind this type of therapy, this type of treatment, what is what kind of potential does this world have in the future? If we continue to move in this direction and broaden the awareness of this type of treatment. So I think what we really need to do is now just telling everybody, oh, everybody should have stem cell treatment. And of course, the majority of the population, they are also very wary about this type of treatment now to prove by FDA and not approved in most countries by any regulatory agencies, equivalent to FDA. And so I know there are black market existing for this because it's now regulated. Exactly. So basically, what we really need to do is to apply the principles that I talked about in the book. And this book actually is like a blueprint for yourself to evaluate your own body and to understand your body better. Either you can't understand it better by yourself through your own research or you with with some help from winning never sounded so good. What would you do if you want big at crown coins casino? Other experts, you know, I'm now the only one who can tell you about all these things. There are also other people who are experts about that and also, you also We also need to combine a lot of things together to address your health and longevity now just from one approach, one treatment, and, you know, we have to combine all of them. That's right for your particular type of body. So that's what we're really trying to achieve. And if we can teach higher percentage of population about these principles, and if, say, even half of the population, they can have access and understanding of these principles and can apply some of them in their daily life. We can actually tremendously increase our society's standards of the health span instead of just extending people's lifespan. And then in that case, because all the countries in the world right now accept the underdeveloped area, our aging society. So basically, we have this aging population. If we can teach people to understand and apply these principles, then we actually can improve the health of our aging population and reduce the burden to our society because if people don't use these principles, they just go the traditional Western medicine route. And then a lot of them will keep suffering and they don't really have the good solutions to their aging related conditions. And our society also has this burden to take care of these aging population with very bad health conditions, right? And then our younger generation also need to take care of the care givers to their parents, their elderly, and then that's another dream on the society. Yeah, it truly is. And you know, it's a whole domino effect, right, because the principles that you're referring to, and by the way, thank you for that clarification, Dr. Song. The principles that you're referring to, you know, to me, speaks to and represents an affordability benefit for our elder communities, right? And that could really, really not only improve quality of life, but people who don't have a lot of money, they're on fixed income because they're retired, you know, they can enjoy that affordability benefit for that type of medicine, that type of treatment. Yes, because there are a lot of things you can do that doesn't cause thousands of dollars. Right. And also you can start when you're in your 40s and 50s and you can start with only small changes in your lifestyle. And then by the time you are in your 70s and 80s, you don't have to have doctors appointment every day, go to different specialists and still cannot figure out what's wrong with you and you can now really solve your problem. Exactly. Because I talked to some people in 70s, they told me, "Oh, you know, when you reach your 70s, then basically everything is downhill." And then your life is basically consumed by visiting doctors all the time, but then nobody can really solve your problem and you still suffer from the pain, but that shouldn't be the case. Right. But a lot of people they think that's normal, that's basically the way it is. Yeah, we need to change the narrative, right, because it can be different. Yes. Yes. And of course, the earlier you start, the better. It's like my mom, she didn't start great, and she didn't take care of herself until she was in her 50s, starting having all the health conditions, but we started around when she was 50, and now she's 81. And then even though she had a lot of difficulties, she had a lot of problems. She's not on any medication, and she can still live on her own. So even though she's not like she can now move, she can now run fast or she can now travel like some other 80 years old people who are in good health can do, but for her, that's pretty good. That's incredible, absolutely incredible, on no medications whatsoever. And when you were explaining the principal's doctor's song, I want to thank you again for clarifying that, because when I asked my question about the future, and I don't feel like I asked it in the right way, I didn't want it to come across as if we're just focusing on stem cell. This is a holistic treatment. So all the principals that Western medicine, I'm sorry, Eastern medicine, represents and speaks to the holistic approach for treatment, not just stem cell, right? And so, for you to clarify that, by just instead of shouting out to everyone, you should try this, try this, try this stem cell research stem cell, it'll do this, it'll do this. But to practice living, you know, using the principals and even people, yeah, even if people who can't afford doing stem cells, if they are now doing the other things implementing in their life with other principals, they can only benefit from the stem cells temporarily and then they don't have the right environment for their body to age better, then they will retreat back to, you know, their body would still decline faster because they're not doing the right thing. So that's why stem cells are not the only solution to healthy aging, but it's a very powerful tool you can utilize at the right time. You're stood, that makes a lot of sense, and having professionals such as yourself who can walk and help people navigate through what to use and when, the different principals, you know, and to help diagnose whether or not someone would need like a stem cell treatment, that's important than just someone on a hair trigger going straight to it, thinking it will help when it may not necessarily be something they need, at least at that point, in their lives. So Dr. Song, this has been an absolute delightful conversation. You have shed some incredible insights for the listeners. I know I've learned a lot just from the brief time that we've had here in this conversation and I would love to learn more. I know the listeners would love to learn more. So you can go to regeneration effect podcasts on Apple podcasts. You can also go to stem cell talk on Apple podcasts. And then you can understand about a lot of stem cell treatment better. So my goal is really since I was six years old, I wanted to help people. So I'm really trying to have more and more people understand these principles and then they can utilize in their daily life, that's the best practice. And I really want to contribute to this movement so that people can understand the ancient principals better and utilize them in their daily life instead of just focusing, being restricted to conventional reactive treating only symptoms Western healthcare. 100% and if you don't mind Dr. Song in my episode show notes for this episode, we will put all the links that you just mentioned, including the Amazon links to your book. Summary:

FAQs

Stem cell treatment helps boost the body's natural healing abilities by providing a 'jump start' to regeneration. It can benefit people in their 20s or 30s by preventing chronic pain and injury-related complications, and is especially effective for those with aging-related conditions like joint issues or poor tissue repair.

Yes, traditional Chinese medicine emphasizes holistic health and addressing imbalances before symptoms appear. Modern stem cell therapy complements this by using technology to stimulate the body's own regenerative processes, combining ancient philosophy with scientific advancements for improved outcomes.

No, it's beneficial at any age. Younger individuals can benefit from preventing long-term damage from injuries or inflammation, and early treatment can reduce the need for surgeries and scar tissue buildup later in life.

Steroid injections reduce inflammation but don't repair damaged tissue and may weaken connective tissues over time. Stem cell treatment addresses the root cause by promoting actual tissue regeneration and healing, leading to long-term improvement rather than temporary symptom relief.

The six principles include early prevention, viewing the body as a garden, addressing imbalances proactively, following the body’s natural flow, treating conditions holistically, and improving quality of life instead of just extending lifespan.

Listeners can find Dr. Song’s books and resources on Amazon or through her website book.regenerationeffect.com. Her podcast episodes on Apple Podcasts, including 'Regeneration Effect' and 'Stem Cell Talk', also provide deeper insights into her holistic health principles.
