(upbeat music) (upbeat music) - Welcome to the first episode of And She Rises, my new podcast. Hi. (laughs) I'm Amanda Frances. I'm your host. And I am so excited to be here with you. So I didn't really intend to start a podcast. I mean, I guess I am tending to do so right now. But to tell you the full story, what I've always done in my business is go to where the people are. So when I was first, first starting out, I got a Twitter account and an Instagram account and a Facebook fan page day one. And I always knew, maybe it's because of my age. I'm 33, so I'm on the cusp of being a millennial. Maybe it's my age, but I always knew that the people were on the internet. And then I could reach the most people by putting myself out there on the internet. So way before, I knew what I was doing in business. And way before, I knew how to market brand message position myself online. Before all of that, I was just posting free, daily, high quality content on designing a beautiful life all over the social medias. And as time and the world has progressed, apparently podcasting is the thing now. And if the people are on the podcast, I'm on the podcast. So here we are, here we are. I'm so jazzed, I'm so jazzed for the show. Let me read to you a little bit of the description of what we are here to do. Okay. Hosted by self-made multi-millionaire, soulful business guru and many making queen in Amanda Frances. And she rises as a podcast for the woman who desires the income, impact, intimacy, and influence she was born for. Through practical advice, spiritual solutions, and energetic principles, Amanda helps women to achieve their wildest dreams and business life and love. This is a mess listen for the woman who refuses to hold back, shrink down, or play small any longer. So if you don't know me, my whole vibe, my whole energy, my whole mission is to put money in the hands of good-hearted women who are here to change the world. So I do that primarily. Through the digital content I create, through my rapidly growing social media channels, through, yeah, through my business, through my voice, through my message, through what I have to say. So typically people who follow my work, typically who people who get into my content, report back, believing in themselves more, increasing their confidence, telling themselves the truth about the life relationship business they want, learning how to attract and manifest their desires into their lives. When teaching about business, I combine practical and spiritual and energetic all the way through. So one minute I can be telling you what worked for me, during an email campaign, and the next minute I will be talking about the energy and which I sent the email out. So for me, it's a combination of practical and spiritual advice and tips and wisdom and how I have personally built and grown my multi-million dollar brand. Some of the things I am most known for is helping women to change and heal their relationship with money, their history and memories with money, their perception of being worthy of money, their ideas about being good or bad or irresponsible or not capable of having money. Their belief in what they get to do have NB on the planet and their worth as a whole. I've helped thousands of women start and grow their own businesses or add streams of income to their businesses through digital courses, digital content, and the growing of their own online presence. And brand to be very honest with you. I'm very proud of what I've started and grown over the past seven and a half years. Wait, should we rewind? Is that what I should do on episode one? Should I tell you how this all got started? Okay, so in 2011, I was 25 and I was in a Master's of Counseling Program which I finished, I have a Master's in Counseling and but I was midway through and I was tired of having to wait to be at a certain part in the program to see clients. I felt like I had been coaching my entire life and I wanted to be paid to use the gifts that felt like they came so naturally to me. So some of you have heard this story before. One day I walked into my week and ethics class. It was, you know, ethics and mental health counseling or something and the class was taught by an attorney and the attorney was at the front of the room talking to some other students before a class started and he was just saying things like, well, you know, now people are a life coaching. You don't even need a license for that and while everyone is making fun of him, or not making fun of him, making fun of life coaches and making fun of that general idea, a light bulb went off in my head and I was like, wait, I could start doing this now. I don't have to wait to finish the degree. And you know, I'm like a couple of semesters into the program so in addition to my life experience, who I am, my spiritual beliefs, I had learned a lot and developed a lot of skills and tools and I really wanted to use them right away. So I was like, okay, that's it. I am going to be a life coach while I finish this degree. And so, but I had no idea what to do. So like I said earlier in this episode, I got online and I started sharing free inspiration and content daily and I started just positioning myself as someone who was a therapist and training and who wanted to be a coach. And so, but I didn't know what to do online. I didn't know how to grow a brand online. I didn't know what I was doing. So I started hanging flyers all over Dallas, Texas at every Starbucks, not in the entire Metroplex. But every Starbucks and the neighborhood I lived in, I started hanging flyers nearly every day and I did that for several months. And through this time, I was doing a lot of deep inner work. I was in my master's program. I was in therapy, I was healing on a lot, I was working on a lot. And over time, it got to the point where I was like, I think I'm ready for clients. I think I have a belief in my gift and my skill and I think I'm ready for clients. So it was, it's really interesting because I had been hanging flyers for a while. But at that moment that I decided I was ready for clients, I hung the flyers a little differently. I hung the flyers with the energy of my work as a high service and worthy of massive compensation. I'm giving my gifts to the world and I am well paid for it. And I hung those flyers and I decided I was ready and worthy of clients and I began to energetically call in the clients. I began to envision my life and vision my day in the energy and feelings and vibration of. I'm waking up to see clients today. How amazing is it to get paid to do work? I love and to help others today. And I would picture myself walking into sessions, walking out of sessions and I would just be in the energy of someone who was paid to help. Yeah, so I attracted my first seven clients within a couple of months. And I was officially supporting myself as a life coach. Up until that point, I had had a couple clients and I was nannying on the side and I was a cocktail server and I was piecing together money from all these jobs, you know. But around January was that 2013, it had to have been. Around January 2013, I was officially supporting myself as a life coach. So from there, I was life coaching and I was life coaching for a while and then I had other therapists friends who were like, you're killing it and this life coaching thing. Can you help me figure out how to start a life coaching lag of my therapy business so I can see clients internationally and not just clients in the state. I live in, I was like, yes, totally. So I started helping other people to become life coaches through, you know, the practical and the energetic, like we're talking about all along. At this point, I am now getting clients online. So I'm talking about sharing content online and sharing information that's inspiration online and attracting people online. So I'm sharing the energetic, I'm sharing the practical that I'm learning and I'm helping some of these therapists to have life coaching legs of their business. And then this goes on for several months and then during the side note, during this time, I start a PhD program. So I'm running my business. I'm in a PhD program. I'm helping therapists to add life coaching to their businesses and all of this is going on. And then it got to the point where I was like loving the work I was doing as a life coach and as helping people become life coaches. I was loving all of this a lot. And so I quit my PhD program at this point. So that's a year and a half after I started supporting myself as a life coach. So this is like May of 2014. So then I hope this is like interesting to people. So then from there, I created a program called Become a Life Coach in August of 2014, a few months after quitting my PhD program. And I think I enrolled like 15 women all online into that program. And that was my first digital course. And I made something like $10,000 off that digital course. And I was like, oh my gosh, through digital content, I can help more people at once and make more money and multiply my efforts. So I recorded that content knowing I was going to add to that course every year and resell that content forever. And I was like, this recorded one, sell it forever thing is amazing. And then I became a massive fan of digital courses and helping way more people than you can one-on-one through digital content, which I've helped a lot of women add streams of income to their businesses through this kind of thing. So from chiropractors to tutors to psychologists to yoga instructors, people who end up creating digital courses and digital content through my programs on what I teach. One of the many things I teach. So yeah, so fast forward a lot of years now. Fast forward four more years. I have between double and triple the company every year. In 2017, Amanda Frances Inc. made $1.5 million. We're on track for $3 million in 2018. We've had 9,000 transactions so far this year. So that's thousands of women enrolled in digital content. I work with just a couple private clients each year. So people who I personally mentor, I have a small handful of people in masterminds, less than 30 people. And then I have thousands in digital courses, which I love. I love all of what I do so much. I feel like I'm making the difference I was born to make. I feel like I'm living out my purpose and my calling. I feel excited as I expand my business and career and dreams and goals. As I go, I have really a relatively small audience for the income and the impact I make. We have maybe 30,000 on Instagram. And I think 25,000 on Facebook and 18,000 on my email list and 12,000 on Twitter, which is pretty small for-- there's a large percentage of people in my audience who are in paid content. And I'm proud of that because to me, that means that a large number of people who follow me feel connected to me. Feel like they can trust me. Feel like they have gotten to know me through my daily content and felt comfortable and enrolling in a program. So I'm proud of the amount of women I'm able to help. My intention is to grow the audience, bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger, through this podcast and through all my social media channels and I run ads a little bit. And I'm mostly just talking speaking of energetics. I'm mostly just-- if you don't know me yet and you don't know much about me at the station yet, this might sound crazy. But I continually feel the feelings of the audience growing. I feel it. I believe it. I envision it. And I am confident that it is my destiny for it to continue to naturally and organically grow. And I will always do my part, once again, combining practical and spiritual. I will always do my part. I will show up on iTunes and Spotify. And I will do the DM thing. So yeah, that's me. That's me. So what is going to happen now is I'm going to jump on here and record content to be episodes on Angie Rises. My team will share with you guys different like YouTube vlogs and Instagram lives. Facebook lives. We're going to pull the audio from various content I've created in the past. And we're just going to keep the content coming and flowing and provide lots of tips and information and wisdom and stories and interviews and whatever else. And I'm honestly so jazzed about it. So I'll jump on here, I'll record things in real time. When it's older content will say when it was recorded in the show notes just to make it clear.
