Enlightened Populism, AI Transparency, and the Future of Global Governance with Mohamed Nabil

In this episode of Mind Over Habits, Mohamed Nabeel discusses his innovative framework, AIDOP, which uses artificial intelligence to critique his own publications and publishes the full exchange within 24 hours. He explains that this approach accelerates public debate, allows authors to respond to criticism while alive, and promotes radical transparency by inviting readers into his thought process. Nabeel introduces the concept of enlightened populism, a communication pattern where individuals listen to multiple experts, investigate information to its current truth, and form independent conclusions—contrasting with blind elitism and ignorant populism. He argues that achieving this mindset requires economic reforms, such as sharing technology benefits to reduce working hours and expanding the middle class, and sociological changes in parenting and education that teach children to question beliefs rather than accept them as facts. Nabeel also advocates for a unified global government ruled by hyperlocal citizen assemblies, where people vote directly on issues, ensuring equal participation and preventing authoritarianism. He emphasizes that AI tools can enhance critical thinking if used for debate and critique rather than passive content generation, and he calls for universal human rights including shelter, healthcare, and internet access. Ultimately, he envisions a future where AIDOP spreads globally, wars end, climate change is addressed, and humanity unlocks its creative potential through expanded middle-class participation.

Hi everyone, welcome back to the show Mind Over Habits. In the world where artificial intelligence is rapidly changing, how will then communicate and make a decision. One of the biggest questions we face is this. How do we use this powerful truth without losing ability to think critically? To this guest as developed are unique approach that encourages people to challenge their own beliefs, embrace transparency and engage in deeper intellectual exploration. This conversation touched on philosophy, democracy, technology, education and the future of humanity itself. My guest today is Mohamed Navi, an independent philosopher, author, social activist and creator of Adop, AIDOP, AIDBIT on Warns publication. Mohamed is the author of numerous books including enlightening, populism. Philosophical are the BIT with AI, global justice, my interview with charge GBT and several others focused on philosophy, social issues and technology. This is work exploits how artificial intelligence can be used as a tool for transparency, critique, card thinking and intellectual growth. Mohamed, welcome to the show. It's a pleasure to have you on my number A bit. So Mohamed, for listening and hearing about your work for the first time, what is Adop, IBOP and what inspired you to create it? Well, AIDOP or Adop stands for AIDBIT on Warns publications. It involves a content creator from an AI tool to criticize their own content, publishing the entire analysis, transcript of back and forth argumentation within 24 hours of the exchange. So the idea goes like this, you have the original content, piece of content whether it's a book, a video or an article or whatever and then you feed it into an AI tool and ask it to provide criticism and then you start getting into back and forth argumentation accordingly and publish the entire analysis transcript within 24 hours of the exchange. So what inspired me to create this is that books and ideas are usually that they are not discussed and publicly debated. So instead of waiting for a few years for people to recognize my own ideas and then start debating them over the years, I developed this content creation framework to accelerate the process and to give people in the future about the starting point. Instead of starting with a simple theory or thesis of mind, they can start by exploring that theory along with the set of arguments and counter arguments and then they can see what happens next. After creating a data for AI DUP, I realized it's revolutionary potential within publishing, education, policy making, humanities and social sciences. Oh, nice, great. Thank you for sharing that with us. So what made you decide to invite artificial intelligence to publicly criticize your own publication? Because I'll get a chance to respond to that criticism. That's a better position to have than having your own ideas criticized long after your dad is better to have the criticism while you're still alive and you can respond to it. So I'm seeking as much criticism as I can. That's one thing. Another thing is that you might actually be wrong about something and gaming criticism allows you to allow you a chance to discover if you're wrong, if you're wrong about something. And it's a method based on radical transparency. You're inviting readers to your own thought lab and intellectual humility. You're recognizing that you don't have an appeal on the truth. You're presenting a set of arguments and counter arguments to the readers so they can formulate their own opinions accordingly. That is great. I know that criticism helps readers or authors to know that they're efficiency and the efficiency concerning any particular piece. So, you have many authors defend their ideas at all cost. Why do you believe public safety critique is valuable? Well, I believe if you put something out in the open, if you're providing something to the public then you have to provide the reasoning behind it. You have to let people know why you're providing this piece of information or this certain conclusion. So, at its best, A. W. A. I. D. U. P. encourages enlightened populism, which has a behavior pattern of communication that involves listening to multiple experts trying to understand how they reach certain conclusions and investigating information to its current truth. So enlightened populism is my main issue here. This is on A. I. D. U. P. is one of the ways to spread it. Okay. So, moment you describe through a communication patterns, blind elitism, ignorant populism and enlightened populism. Can you explain each one to every listener? While blind elitism entails blindly following an expert or an elite on a certain issue, ignorant populism also involves the absence of an investigation while relying on feelings or trends. Enlightened populism is a behavior pattern of communication that involves listening to multiple experts trying to understand how they reach certain conclusions and investigating the information to its current truth. So instead of blindly following an expert or a member of the elite, which has historically been proven to cause catastrophic consequences and instead of relying purely on feelings or trends, we need to investigate the information. We need to listen to multiple experts trying to understand how they reach certain conclusions and investigate the information accordingly. Alright, what does an enlightening and populist look like in practice and how can people develop that mindset? Well in practice, let's take an example on a certain issue. Let's take an example on climate change. So lots of people around the world celebrated the Paris Agreement as a huge win because some experts told us that this was a huge win for humanity and a huge win for climate action and this is some sort of blind elitism. And ignorant populism can be represented by those who deny climate change and believe it's hoax or stuff like that based on feelings or trends. Enlightened populism and enlightened populist would actually look for the data, check the actual Paris Agreement. Realize that the actual text of the Paris Agreement just acknowledges the fact that climate change is a threat and we should do something about it. It fails to address the issue, fails to do anything about it. So an enlightened populist would go for the actual information, would go for the actual text of the Agreement in such a case and form their own opinions according. As for how to add enlightened populism, this was covered in three books of mine, Satmind's Free and Humanities Money tackled the economic aspect of enabling enlightened populism and truth is sexy tackles the sociological aspects of enabling enlightened populism. So let's go for the economic side first. The economic side has to do with reducing working hours by sharing the benefits of technology instead of allowing a few billionaires to benefit from technological breakthroughs and introduce massive layouts all over the world. We can share the benefits of technology, the tools, working hours dramatically, allowing people to have the time and energy to practice and know it in populism and investigate issues all over the world. So this has to do with the economic side. Another aspect of that economic side is that I'm calling for the unification of the world under a single world government to be ruled by hyperlocuances and assemblies, taxing billionaires out of existence, abolishing military industrial complexes and abolishing monarchies and using the massive amounts of money from these three measures to introduce basic human rights such as shelter, access to clean water and food, education, healthcare, freedom of expression, freedom of movement, and stable speed internet connections. So when we get this done, we will effectively expand the middle class and by expanding the middle class, we will allow more people to become enlightened populists. So this has to do with the economic side of the issue. The sociological aspect of the issue is covered in a whole book titled "Tritle Truth is Sexy" has to do with the two thirds of parenting and how and it moves through education and the way we deal with the media, religious institutions, government, everything. So let's start with parenting. The main parenting idea starting at home is that we don't teach our kids our own opinions and beliefs as if they are facts. One, in fact, we should teach them that these are just opinions or beliefs of our own and they can develop their own over time. This has to do with all of our opinions and beliefs, including whatever related, whatever might be related to belonging or religious beliefs or anything. So we can dive later into other aspects of the sociological transformation required for the society. Okay, Mohammed, thank you for making us understand how to develop the enlightening populist mindset out of ported in parties. So how can AI tools help individuals become better critical thinkers instead of passive and consumer of information? While it depends on how you use it, at the end of the day these are just tools, these lalams are just tools and it all depends on how you use it. So let's say you use it for both writing as an author or you use it to come up with the questions for your interviews as an interviewer or stuff like that. In such case, use it for idea generation, it replaces your own mind over time and over time you lose the ability to come up with ideas on your own because you've been too dependent on these tools. On the other hand, if you use it for critical thinking, if you use it to enhance your critical thinking, if you use these tools to criticize your own ideas, get into extensive debates with them, benefit from their massive amount of knowledge, the huge data sets they've been trained on, you actually allow yourself to sharpen your critical thinking, sharpen your mind and increase your capabilities over time instead of diminishing them. So what ethical responsibility comes with using AI in publishing and educate? While within publishing, we've seen lots of scandals about people using AI to write on their behalf and getting called with it. And as a matter of fact, we have to recognize that this will get harder over time as this tools becomes smarter. So we need measures in order to avoid this at any cost because if we just rely on these AI tools to produce content over time, we lose our ability. And as far as the ethical side goes, I believe most writing in general is unethical whether you hire a human being to write for you or you have an AI tool to write on your behalf. As for education, there is a panic, there's a current panic in educational systems all over the world because these alarm can actually get any assignments done on behalf of students and this problem will grow over time to just conserve this problem by requiring students to submit AI/DUP sessions at the end of each assignment and that will debate through their colleagues on their findings according. So do you think AI has the potential to improve public discourse or could it worsen misinformation and popularization? Well, this, too, depends on how you use it. So let's say that the main issue with social media, for instance, is that it shows you content based on your historical data of interactions within the platform. So same goes for the alarm and search engines. However, within alarm and search engines, there is a chance to pull data instead of getting data pushed at you. So we can use alarm and search engines more frequently than we use social media. Yet, even search engines and alarm's continuing to make chambers, if not used wisely as they both rely on historical data of interactions, using private incognito mode. Occasionally, while submitting queries through multiple search engines and digging deep for multiple sources is advisable, same goes for alarm's with the additional feature of intentionally getting it to a debate at the alarm by prompting it to take position opposing to yours. So, I already made my own new tool. I already made my own tool. So, a moment you advocate for radical transparency. What do you believe transparency is so important in modern society? I believe radical transparency is essential when you're presenting something to the public, when you present something for public consumption. In your own private life, you can keep anything to say if you'd like to. And yet, if you're presenting information to the public for public consumption, then you need to allow people to follow your own reasoning, understand how you reached these conclusions, because later on, when you're gone, people will need to understand these issues without your presence. So, providing them in the best comprehensive way, the most comprehensive way as possible is actually advisable. So, one of your moves are bitters that are there is a tablety and a single global government. Why do you see that as a necessary? Well, the main problems in today's world, whether potentially recurring pandemics, climate change or the main problem of billionaires paid around the world, represented through military industrial complexes causing wars around the world, represented through trial, labor and Congo or on other places around the world. All of these issues are related to each other and all of these issues are global issues that require global solutions. And these set of billionaires controlling the world, they don't have a problem. problems with barriers, they don't have problems with borders. So neither should we, we shouldn't have problems with borders either. And we should move to abolish these borders and unite together as human beings. We can achieve so much together by relying on cooperation instead of competitiveness within the current fragmented nation states. Okay, uh, women, many people worry that a global government could become overly centralized or authoritarian. How do you address those unconscious? That's an excellent question. I have addressed this a few times. People need to realize the central fact that I'm proposing a global government to be ruled by hyperlocal citizens as an assemblies. So I'm replacing, uh, representative democracies, the current corrupt representative democracies with, uh, direct democratic participation. We ourselves can vote on issues instead of voting for someone to vote on our behalf on many issues. We can vote for ourselves. And this way we can prevent any kind of authoritarianism or to tolerate any kind of authoritarianism that may, might be caused by uniting the world and the single government. So, uh, you also advocate for citizen assemblies and direct democracy. How will you, uh, how does the system function differently from current political structures? We can, uh, while we practice in modern populism, spreading in 19 populism is actually a prerequisite for the establishment of the global government with citizen assemblies. So when it reflects in life in populism, we can come up with a certain evidence-based solutions. So, in the 200 percent yet, we will do our best to reach, uh, the best conclusions and the best policies. And we will determine the policies on our own instead of relying on a few corrupt politicians anywhere around the world to vote on our behalf on many issues. So, we will have, uh, these will be harder local citizen assemblies. Your citizen assembly would be by 4-10 minutes away from your home. And these, uh, citizen assemblies were coordinated on two levels. They will have some level of coordination for global issues in which each citizen assembly will have to vote. And each human being around the world will have an equal vote. And they'll have, uh, local issues that they can vote on alone, uh, while maintaining compliance with the global constitution and the global set of those. This is how we shall be run. All right, thank you for that. I wonder if I'll respond to the moment. So, you believe something essential, including head care education, clean water, internet, access, and freedom of movement should be universal human rights. Why are those priorities important to you? I believe shelter and access to clean water and food education, head care, these are wrong overdue. They should have been introduced long years ago. People need shelter. People need a dignified life. This has to do with justice. Justice has to do with dignified, having a dignified life and fair treatment. So, uh, justice implies having shelter, having access to clean water and food, having quality education and health care systems as basic human rights. And, uh, along with freedom of expression, freedom of movement, freedom of expression and freedom of movement have to do with, uh, our feeling of being incarcerated in various regions around the world. We shouldn't feel that way. We should feel that the whole planet belongs to all of us. And this is why these are essential. And as for stable speed internet connections, I believe it should be a human right because people around the world need them to investigate for issues themselves. You can't ask people to investigate for the issues of the 21st century while relying on tools of the 19th century. So, uh, what road of philosophy and critical thinking play in solving today's global challenges? Well, philosophy has to do with solving today's challenges and solving the challenges of any time because philosophy has to do with studying existence, knowledge, language, mind, uh, reason, values. These are related to philosophy as the love of wisdom. So, uh, the philosophy and critical thinking as well are essential skills for human beings around the world to be able to navigate. Difficult areas such as the one we're living in. So, uh, looking ahead 20 years, what challenges, what changes will you most like to see in how humanity uses technology, governs itself and pursue truth? I would like to see AI DOP spread all over the world. I'd like to see it's influence on policy making education publishing, social sciences and humanities. I'd like to see people governing themselves to hyperlucousism and assemblies all over the world. I'd like to see it see an end to all words. I'd like to see us solving climate change through mitigation and adaptation and minimizing any losses, any expected losses. I'd expect by expanding that by expanding the middle class, we will unlock the creative powers of multiple people around the world. We will have more philosophers, more authors, more, uh, artists, painters, musicians, filmmakers, more people who are adding value to our lives through a creative process. All right, uh, before we wrap up, I'll come listening as a corner to you and know my about your work. Well, they can connect me through my website, MuhammadNabeel.weil, I'm OHAMED and a B I L dot W W R L V. It would be helpful if you can add the link to the website in the show notes. All right, I will do that. I will do that. I'll add your link or today. Uh, show note. So, uh, Muhammad, thank you for joining us and sharing your thoughts, provoking ideas. Whether listening, listening, I agree with all your conclusion or not, you have to arrange us to think more deeply about how we form opinions, how we use technology and how we participate in society. FAQs

AIDOP stands for AIDBIT on Warns publications, a framework where content is fed to an AI tool for criticism, followed by a published transcript of the back-and-forth argumentation within 24 hours. It was inspired by the lack of public debate on books and ideas, aiming to accelerate discussion and provide a starting point for future exploration.

He invites AI criticism to respond to critiques while still alive, discover potential errors, and promote radical transparency. This approach allows readers to see his thought process and arguments, fostering intellectual humility.

Blind elitism is blindly following an expert, ignorant populism relies on feelings without investigation, and enlightened populism involves listening to multiple experts, understanding their reasoning, and investigating information to its current truth.

AI tools enhance critical thinking when used for debating and criticizing ideas, leveraging their knowledge to sharpen your mind. However, relying on them for idea generation can diminish your own abilities over time.

In publishing, using AI to write without disclosure is unethical and will become harder to detect, so measures are needed. In education, students should submit AIDOP sessions to demonstrate their reasoning and debate findings with peers.

He sees global issues like pandemics, climate change, and billionaire-controlled wars as interconnected problems requiring global solutions. A global government, ruled by hyperlocal citizen assemblies, would promote cooperation over competition among fragmented nations.
