Emergency on My Flight

The podcast features a detailed and humorous account of a luxurious trip to Monaco, showcasing the extravagant lifestyles of billionaires. The hosts describe an immersive experience at an F1 race, where they watch from a $100,000 hotel spa room with panoramic views, and later attend yacht parties where guests move between massive yachts via tenders. They highlight the seamless, almost cinematic nature of elite social life—where parties are hosted on floating homes, staffed with hundreds, and attended by people of similar wealth and age. A standout moment is a drunken dance on a man’s shoulders while John Summit DJs, creating a vivid, joyful memory. The narrative also includes a personal anecdote about a debilitating migraine during a long flight, which nearly caused them to ground the plane, underscoring the challenges of travel. The crew reflects on their fatigue from constant international trips and considers skipping the Cannes Film Festival due to burnout. The episode weaves in cultural observations, such as criticism of French cuisine, and a funny fan note about David being named after a kitten. It concludes with lighthearted speculation about David’s sexuality and a nod to AI in modern media, all while maintaining a tone of awe, humor, and self-awareness about the absurdity of extreme wealth and travel.

What's up guys, we're back to views. We are back with another pod. We are home in Los Angeles. This was a little late. It's already Tuesday. We're going to rod dog it. We're going to give you the best 42 minutes of rod dog pod possible. Jason, I'm warning you now. Nothing racist. Don't say anything racist. We don't have to hate slow box. We don't want to have to edit it. Hate slow box. That's crazy. That's a crazy thing to say, because it's such good people. Yeah, for sure. We just got back from Monaco, did you miss us, Jay? I missed you guys incredibly. Really? Yeah, I don't know how to work Instagram. So I kept hearing that it looked like a good trip, but I couldn't find it. I think it was my favorite trip of the year. Oh, fuck off. Yeah. That sucks. Better than the boat. The boat was great. You said that about the boat. But this was something. Oh, David got laid. That's what happened. No. No. No. He wouldn't tell me if you did it anyway. Oh, I'd say I got laid. I wouldn't tell you who. Yeah. But it was so good about it. It was so secretive you. OK. I'm just-- come on, I'm getting credit. I tell you who off the pod is what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, yeah. OK, anyway. No, I didn't get laid. It was just-- it was an experience I've never experienced before. Yeah, it was very unique. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was very unique. I got my alley. I don't think it's going to look that good in the vlog as it did in person. You don't think so? No, because it's just-- it's like a video game. And it's very like John came with us. And John was like, I feel like I don't belong here. Yeah. And I'm like, oh, well, I don't think-- I don't think you do, John. No, no, no, I'm like, I don't belong here. Nobody-- Yeah. It feels like 99% of people don't belong here. But everyone's cosplaying, like-- being wealthy. Yeah, just this experience of this billionaire experience. I've never seen anything like it. So the only thing I can go on is Jonas Tiktok, which was like, you're in an apartment and you're overlooking other apartments that are watching the race. No. No. So we went for the F1 race and we were at a hotel. And the hotel has the most famous turn in F1 right outside the hotel. OK. We got really lucky with this spot. And the hotel maximizes every single room that they have inside the building. So we were actually in the spa. So they transformed-- the hotel shuts down for the day. And that one room used to be a locker room. But just for this race, it's like they just opened it up. In the sink, they put ice and drinks. And then where you would put your towels for the spa, they set up like food. And then you have two or three balconies to look at the race from the best turn. And just that room for that one day, for the three-hour race, is $100,000. And it's a spa. The steam shower is right next to us. Are you staying in that hotel? No. OK. So that's just where we're going to go, that's the race. What time do you go to watch the race? What time of day? 3 PM. OK, 3 PM. So our friend flew us out. I don't want to give away too much of it because I think it'll all be in the vlog, so how it works. I'd never go there on my own dime. OK. It's like so fucking insanely expensive. Yeah, right. Like, it's not even fathomable. Like, Jonah ordered fucking croissants to the house. He ordered five chocolate ones at five regular. It was $300. What? Yeah. It was really weird. Three euros. 300 euros, which is even more. Yeah. Through postpates or what? Yeah, this thing. Dude, getting around that city. So Monaco is built into a cliff side. It's already confusing as it is. And then half of it-- no, all of it-- is now a racetrack. So getting through things is-- like getting places is goddamn near impossible. It's crazy. Yeah, it's crazy. Can you even walk? You can walk, but that's the problem. It's like you're walking a lot. You're walking up a mountain, though. Yeah, you're walking a lot. So what would you do if you're like, great? The race was great. Now let's go to dinner. How would you think? What are the majority of people that are the Manaconians? Manaconians. Manaconians? Yeah, making it up to you. The Monagasc. No, I mean, how every-- OK, so we stayed in a house. And the house overlooked the water. And outside in the water was like, I don't know. Two, 300 yachts parked outside, mostly mega. And then 80 of them are like giga yachts. Just like fucking, like, there's a boat parked at those $700 million. Just like unfathomable amount. And what's so interesting is everyone's staying on these boats and everyone's using these tenders to get from boat to boat. So your-- A tender? A tender's just like a tiny or boat to-- I'm not going to make a chicken tender joke. So what is a tender? A smaller boat just to get you to the bigger boat. And it's really cool. Like, my friend was staying on the $700 million boat. And he knew that I was like four boats away. He could see it with his binoculars or whatever. And he's like, I'm a swing by and get you. So he brings the tender by, hops on the boat instantly. Like almost like the casualness of getting on to somebody else's boat is so interesting. So yeah. Because I don't even know how to explain it. You just walk, it's like no red lights. It's like being-- you know what it's like? It's like being out on frat row. Yeah. And all the fraternity leaders are gone and you can walk into everybody's house. It's like that. But you have to have a tender. And then you have a tender and you're just like party hopping from boat to boat. And all these boats are ginormous boats that have-- like, so someone will be like, OK, I'm on Kiss Me, or I'm on Love Dove, whatever the names of the boats are. And you could just Google these boats, because they're massive. And they're $300 million pieces of equipment in the water. So they all have pictures, and you know where they're all parked. You know what I mean? Like, it's like it's-- You know where they're all parked. They get the same spot every year. No, it's just like-- They've just-- everybody knows there. Like all the tender people, they know where it is. Oh, you're going to this boat that's parked here. So your friend comes to you with his tender. He gets on your boat. Does he take you somewhere? He gets on my boat, he's like, let's go. He doesn't even take a shot or anything. He's just like, let's go. Yeah. Like, we're parked outside. Amazing. OK, OK, OK. And like, I didn't get ready in time. I'm just going to wait for a nap. We tenders away. We wait for our tender. And then we go to another boat. And then he takes me from the boat he's on. He's like, this party's not that good. Yeah. It's-- I don't know how to explain it. It's really-- It's really fucking bizarre. You're doing a good job. It's like being in VR, especially because he's-- And then you're on the boats, and like, you could get-- every boat is staffed with like 20, 30 staff. So you're being treated like-- It's a royalty at all times. It's just so insane. It's another like-- it's just another level of life that like is incomprehensible. No, so crazy. It doesn't make any sense. And then at night, would you go into town or go on boats? Mostly just on boats. Mostly on boats. There's like two clubs in town that are big. And like, then you dock at the Monaco Ya Club. You get off there. And then-- But wait a minute. And you weren't staying on a boat. You're saying-- We were saying in like, on a villa on the close side. Yeah, you're on a villa, but you were on some other boat. So our friend Tanya was there. So we visited her boat like three times. What's Tanya do? Tanya's dad is just like the guy in India. Oh, wow. OK. But yeah, so he just bought a brand new boat. OK. So we went to go see what a most beautiful boat's ever. Amazing. It's like, to Tanya's room, it's like the size of my downstairs house, like on this boat. Yeah, yeah. She got a private living room. And she got a grand piano in the living room of her private section. Yeah. It's a giga yacht. It's not a giga yacht. It is a mega yacht. It's a mega yacht. But it's a-- Well, well. But it's set up in the most-- It's set up in the most perfect way. And for everyone else at home, what's a giga yacht? What's a giga yacht? What's a giga yacht? A giga yacht. A giga yacht. A giga yacht. A giga yacht. A giga yacht. A giga yacht. A giga yacht. What's a giga yacht? A giga yacht. You can take the helicopter, like, and you got to go to a villa party in the hill. Oh, my God. Totally. Forget about this. Yeah. This is the craziest fucking part. Yeah. Yeah. You take your helicopter off your boat. You took a helicopter? Yeah, we took a helicopter off your boat. Not off the boat. Not off the boat. Not off the boat. Not off the boat. Okay. But why? Why did you take the helicopter off your boat? Because you land in the backyard of someone's house. Oh, no! Yes. It's fucking insane. You land-- Yeah. It's time to go to the party. The chopper's here. Exactly. The chopper comes and gets you? Yeah. And-- Yeah. You get on. And then it'll take you to the backyard of the house that's on-- That's on a cliff. You can't park the boat because it's above the door. Sure. It's like 200 feet above the water. Yeah. You've got your propell up there. You land on the cliff. And your buddies are already there waiting you. You fucking dab 'em up and you're going-- No. No. No way. Okay, okay. So wait. To walk me through it. It's on the boat. You're at your house. You're at your Airbnb. Nice. Very nice. And then it's time to go to the party. You're by--you're by where the helicopters are already are. Yeah. I see. And-- And it'll be a 45-minute drive or a three-minute helicopter. Because you pay for the helicopter. Yeah. Yes. Yeah, yeah, okay. I mean, it depends. Again, if you have a big boat, it's your helicopter. I'm just looking for your actual experience. My perspective? Yeah. I paid for a helicopter. Yeah. So you're like, "Nah. Let's just take a chopper." four minute ride. No, you did it. Yeah, it's fine though, because it was for the vlog. Yeah. Yeah. And it was all six of us. And it was one of the ones in a lifetime. Once in a lifetime. Totally worth it. I've never landed on a cliff in the French Riviera. Like in a backyard. Yeah. Can we say who's house? No, we can't say who's house. You could have made obsession. You know, all that money is spending. Yeah, totally good. But yeah. Okay, keep going. I mean, I don't even know how to explain. It's just really like we did. So we did can film festival. And this is what's interesting too. We did can't film festival. We were in can three, three weeks ago. And then we came back home and we went to Monaco. Can a Monaco are 40 minutes apart. Even this time when we were Monaco. You have the same airport every year. Yeah. So you don't have the same airport. We were in Monaco. Our friend wanted this is this is ridiculous. And this is like I this is so stupid. And I'm saying this. And I agree. It's stupid. But he wanted to see what would get faster to can. Yeah. If you he wanted to race me. I took the Lamborghini boat. And he took a helicopter. Okay. And loser had to pay for lunch. I'm not going to spoil who lost or who won. Okay. Okay. Or how much lunch was. Um, but um, so we race. What were you in? I was in the boat. The Lamborghini boat. So we race from Monaco to can. He was in the helicopter. And how low the ride is that 40? Um, it's like a 40 minute boat ride going full speed. No, no, no, it's like 25 minutes going like in the Lamborghini boat in 25 minutes. Helicopter was like probably like a eight 10 minute ride. Yeah. No, like a 15 minute ride. But there's you have to get on the helicopter. All that. So that was that's the math. I was there. Okay. So yeah. So we did that. Um, okay. Anyway, when we were in can three weeks ago, yeah. Um, all the boats, the big boats, billionaire boats were parked outside of can. Yeah. For the film festival. And then we came back this time, all the same boats that we were seeing in can. We're now outside of Monaco. And it's just like so crazy. Like imagine you own this boat. And you're just like, okay, time for the next billionaire like circuit. Yeah. But don't you talk about that? You go, you told me that once. You're like, there's like billionaire season. Yeah. But it's just like crazy. Like, like that's what they do. Yeah. There's a season and there's events. So whatever buddies who is close to being a billionaire who who has had a boat, right? That we raced. We were we were in Monaco. We were in Monaco. And he wants to go. We were in Monaco. We raced a can 40 minutes away, right? We had lunch at can in can. And he's like, I'm going to give you guys a helicopter to take back to Monaco. And we're like, great. Thank you. You got us to we only need one. And we're like, okay. And I completely understand that this podcast is the out of touch podcast. Yeah. This is the out of touch episode. This is insanity. And so we flew back. And I'm like, where are you going? He's like, I'm going to Santra pay. And I'm like, oh, so don't you need to go back? And he's like, no, no, the boat is following us here. So while he was at lunch, the boat was coming over from Monaco to can to pick him up the big boat. And it's crazy because all his luggage, everything is like these boats are these aren't houses on water. These are like cities on water, right? Like if 30 people working on a boat, and you have 15 bedrooms, you have six living rooms. Yeah. So it's like, and it's crazy to think this this home, this village that he has on water came to pick him up. And now he's going to finish lunch, tender back to this ginormous boat, and maybe spend two hours like relaxing on the couch. And it's going to chop him off his ginger pay. Like it's just unreal. No, it's unreal. That is unreal. To go and have lunch and have to, and to, you once described this to me when you, when you got your, your Tesla, and you were like one of the first people to have that car. And, and you were describing to me how much you liked it. And you said, it's so fluid. And what you meant was was like, you would, the door would open when you walked in, and it was already on. And you were like, and that's, that's what that guy has. Right. Fluidity. Well, it's like if, it's like how David raves about this house, you know? Yeah. And it's like if you just like if he sat in the house, he was upstairs in his bed. And then it just like took him to Santa Monica when he had to like go for a meeting, dropped him off. And then he could just teleport. Yeah, it's like, yeah, yeah, it's hard. It's hard because that's not porting unreal. Yeah. I mean, I, I, what else, what else? What else did you like? What was your favorite thing? Um, I think my favorite thing was just like, it's, it's midnight, you're drunk, you're on a tender and you're weaving past all these yachts. Yeah. And it's like, do we go to another yacht party? Do we dock? Or do we go back to our friends boat? And they make us grilled cheeses. That moment is like what is going. It's really crazy. They all sound good. What did you do? Run home. We got the grilled cheese. We first started on our friends boat. This was, this was one of our boat days. We drank with her dad really thought he's such a nice guy. And she's so great. We all love her. So we hung out there for two hours. Then we had the boat pick us, the tender pick us up. And then we went to another boat where John Summit was DJing on the boat. Okay. And it's just like, I think maybe the perfect guy to be DJing. Oh my god. It was, it was like, it didn't even feel like his, he was on, he was DJing on a boat that was docked at the marina. Yeah. And there was only like a hundred people on this thing, which sounds like a lot of people, but the boat is so massive. And it's all people like our age. Yeah. So it was like, whoa, we just like found the perfect place. And it was, and it's hard to find people our age because obviously everyone there is a billionaire older and wealthy and whatever. But it was like a hundred people our age. Everyone's like, it wasn't like overcrowded or people were like smashing into each other. But John fucking summit is playing like all of his top hits and all of just the general top hits and everyone's dancing and just having a good time popping champagne. Yeah. Drinking tequila. Come over here. Do this. Do that. I mean, it's really, I mean, this was really like, really having a lot of fun. I have the funniest video. We were all in the boat and Karina was like over in the corner at a table. Yeah. And John's like playing his hit and this guy that I was talking to at the party was like, kept being like, I want to lift you up. I want to lift you up. Like, put me on my shoulder for this thing. Fuck you. Anyway. And then, and then John, he said I was light as a father. I mean, was Karina taking a video of John's like big hit and the beats about to drop or whatever. And then she goes, wait, look at Natalie, look at Natalie and she pans over. I can hear it in the video. She sent me the video. And I'm in the crowd on this man's shoulders, like flop. I'm the only person on a shoulder. And just like flopping around dancing drunk, having the time of my mother fucking life, like on a yacht in Monaco, on a man's shoulders, listening to John summit. It was crazy. Also why I really like it is we met up with the beyond guys. Yeah. Who's a they like they curate these like really fun experiences for people. And they had a party. And like now we know them really well. So it was really like going to a friend's house. And it was this incredible party cliff side. Like this is where we landed the helicopter. And, and everyone was filming because there was like three YouTubers there that are like doing what they're doing. And I really admire all those YouTubers. Like they're really good at editing. So like, there's like a level of comfort of being around. Like it was easy for me to film at the party. It was easy to film with them. Cause I'm like, Oh, whatever I say, I know that they're going to edit this like really nicely. Right. And like that felt so it was just like, it was like the best like party. It was just like hang out and film. So it was it was really it. This trip was really at my out. I was surprised. So I don't know if it'll translate to the vlog because I feel like we didn't like vlog as much as we should have. Right. You're just having you're just like in awe by the experience. Yeah. The experience is really unbelievable. But I'll never I don't think I'll ever do it. I probably will never do it again. I mean, maybe I will if someone invites me, but like, that would be that was like a three. What's the race like? It's like a three four hundred thousand hour trip. Probably. That's great. You got to do that for the vlog. That's amazing. Yeah. And what's the race like? She's nice. The race was really fun too. It's incredible. Yeah. Like the way that it's set up like you're in the middle of the city. So you could you're looking across other people that are just like in their apartment bedroom, you know, like watching the race. Yeah. It's like such a no other races. I feel like I mean, I haven't been to that many. It's like it's like really like VR like it's like out of a video game. The race. And you can watch it from your boat. You can watch it from a hotel. You could watch it from an apartment. Obviously, you can't just go around and like every every one of those options is an ex exorbitant amount of money. It was so stupid. Yeah. Is it? Is it? Is it just like a winner declared every day and then? There's one race. It's just one race. Yeah. This guy Kimmy keeps winning. He's been the last five races. How long the race for? He's 19 years old. Two hours. So two hour race. Yeah. Through Monaco. It's like 75 laps. Oh, 70 laps. Yeah. Oh my God. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. It's really loud. It's through the whole city. The day is leading up to the actual the actual race. Yeah. They practice. So do you like practice practice laps to get the best times? And that's how they dictate who's going to be first, second, third on the lineup, you know, on race day. And you can hear them. Like even from our villa, which wasn't even like that close. We're on the outside of Monaco. You can hear the cars when they're practicing. The streets are so thin that usually when the race starts, whoever is in the top three ends in the top three. But this race had like three or four accidents. So a lot of that was changing a lot. But yeah, I know. Just, just super crazy. Did you get laid, no? And did you go out to eat, should you have good food? - Food is the biggest negative in France in that opinion. I'm so sorry. I feel bad saying it. - What kind of stuff? - I'm saying it's so-- - You know, I went to France and I didn't have great food. - I'm saying it's so nicely right now. - I just think they prepare things different. - I'm trying to be polite. - Say what do you want? - But it's my least favorite food, I think. - What do you think? - It's also just like an agargos and stuff. - I don't, I think it's the way they make their meat. I think I'm like here in America or in different states or in different countries. We make our meat with like fuck, we inject our shit with some, I think I really like the processed part of everything. - Well, at least said this about Brazil. I was like, ill, we're gonna get some like Brazilian steak and he was like, it's not that good, Jay. And I was like, and we got there and I was like, oh, I see what he means. - Yeah, even when we're a Brazilian tour guide when we got to those, the first thing we said, we were like, fuck yeah, time for Brazilian steak houses and he's like, hold on, hold on, hold on, it's not as good as you guys have in America. - Yeah. - We're like, what? You're Brazilian steak house and that's good as, the one that's on Sunset Boulevard? - And do you think that that's like the stuff they inject in our cows and stuff? - I think it's the cut of me. Like they don't, they're not serving like-- - I don't know what it is. - A filet, like a juicy filet mignon. - You're right. - They're serving like-- - I'm only saying this 'cause we've hyped up the South of France. So we have some negative-- - So we have to say a negative. - Something. - That's the food. - Because Dianne, this is kind of crazy. Someone just said, yo, David, this is like pretty crazy. My wife and I are big fans of your content and podcast. They've been watching me for 10 years. - Whoa. - Wow. - And in 2016, they got a baby kitten and named it. After me, given the middle name, David. - The middle name, David. - And he just turned 10. - Oh my god. - Is it not crazy? I think that was like some of the craziest news I've ever received. I was named after something and now it's turned 10. It's like, it doesn't happen to people in my age. I thought that was a very, very-- - It doesn't happen to people in my age. - Very, very good. - It doesn't happen to people. - I thought I was doing some research. You know the statue of Michael Angelo? - Yeah. - Okay, where is it, Rome? - Probably. - I'm not sure. - I don't know where it is. Anyway, so most people know Michael Angelo is the one who carved David, but almost no one knows the obsession that made it possible. Before he ever picked up a chisel, he spent two years dissecting cadavers. He spent two years studying how every muscle stretched, how every bone moved, and how the human body came alive beneath the skin. When he finally made the marble, he worked for over two years, often 18 hours a day, sleeping in his clothes, because washing was a time. He once said that if people knew how hard he worked for his art, they would not call him a genius at all. That David wasn't a gift, but blah, blah, blah. Anyway, that's pretty crazy. And then someone said in the comments, you didn't mention that he won that piece of marble. It was from a famous sculptor who screwed up and cut too deep and quit. It was so fine that they did a contest for who could submit the best design to save it. Michael Angelo won. And that's why David stays at that acute angle, how he's kind of leaning, because it was to go around the flaw that the other artist made. - You think it was easier to be an artist back then? Less distractions. - I think so. - Yeah. - No, I don't even think that. I think like you just have to be an artist like in your group of friends, right? And like. - Art was maybe more valued back then, I think, so. - Yeah, but like, yeah, all you need is like five friends to like hype you up, right? Have you ever seen that? Like me, that's like. - Michael Angelo's buddies. - Like just give me three good friends that we could take over the world. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - And I think that's kind of like, you get five guys to vouch for your art. And be like, yeah, he's an artist. - No, we're just kind of spread. - Like even today, like, don't all the people that hold the power in art are the people that are the sellers? Like the people that own the studios? - Yes, there's a great talk about that that I learned. The price of everything you should watch it. - What is called? - The price of everything. It's on HBO and you can watch it on HBO Max and it's just talk about, it explains the art world. It's so good. - So it's just, it's basically the people that bring in the art in. - Yeah, like let's say Dave's a struggling artist on the Lower East Side, but Nat is the buyer. Nat can basically make or break your life. - Yeah, Nat can come and be like, oh yeah, these are worth $30,000. - Yeah, exactly. - Or Nat can look at it and be like, nope, not it. That's not what's cool. So, and then that's why they take half. - Or they take half? - Yeah. - They take half of the, oh, depending on who the artist is. - But if you're like a nobody artist. - Yeah, very nobody. - Right, and like, you just be really like, you think. - That's why it's such a, like, seems like such a, we met somebody at the Cannes Film Festival that's a big art dealer for Sotheby's. - Yeah. - And he was talking about, well, he had just, just before he got to the Cannes Film Festival, he was talking about how he went and purchased a $60 million private plane and he was like, making all these purchases, yes, all this money. And I didn't, I didn't realize that like an art dealer. - Yeah. - No, a dealer is a fucking. - That much money. - It's like an arms dealer. - I mean, loaded. - And he was showing us like, even just prints of things that he was like, oh yeah, I sold this for like 400K. - Yeah. - Or whatever. Like, it's just like, because he just said so. I'm like, who, who made you-- - How do you dictate that? - Yeah. - Yeah. - Yeah. - Yeah. - It's just a cloud game. It's like the best game to be in. I'm always so jealous of Shelby and Sandy. - I am too. - 'Cause they're just like sitting in their beautiful studio. - And just like-- - And just like, I hate painting. - Why do you hate painting? - Well, because I just, well, I'm just not good at it. That's all. - You were so good at, though. You came to our house at our paint party. You had, you had one of the best paintings and I still have it up and there was a flower in the middle. - 'Cause I just try to make the most pretentious piece. - Let me talk. - And I won. - You didn't win, by the way. - Oh, I'm just kidding. - I actually think I won. - No, please, you can't possibly know how to paint. - What do you mean? Everybody knows how to paint. - 'Cause your car is full of darkness. - I'm actually just thinking creative when you allow me to express myself. - Dude, you make a sound guy. I got you locked up in a cage. - Um. - Dude, we were on the flight over here. - Yeah. - This girl, king of performative reading. - Oh, what? That's not what I thought you were gonna say. - Oh, also wait. - Yeah. - There were 250 pages on the way here. - 'Cause you really? - It's not performative, right? - Oh, that's kind of crazy, actually. Wait, did you, we haven't talked about this on the flight there, Natalie. Natalie was gonna ground the plane. - Yeah, I was gonna declare a medical emergency. I was having a full migraine attack. - Vomiting in the bathroom for four hours. - I was vomiting in the bathroom in and out. I was like trying to like, deep breathe. - While the plane's up in the air. - Yeah, like the first-- - If that happened to me, I'd never fly again. - Yeah, it was like the worst flight experience ever had in my entire life. - So it's like a 12 hour flight over there. - It's a 12 hour flight. - Okay. - We, I-- - Direct? - Direct, yeah. And I sit in my seat and we board the plane and I, oh, I drink my water bottle that I get. And the water tastes like metal. And I'm like, oh, that's weird. It's kind of tastes a little strange. And then I'm like, whatever, fuck it. And I just go to bed, the plane takes off. And then like 40 minutes into the flight, I wake up with like this, like, my, it feels like a baseball is about to protrude through my brain. And then like, I feel really nauseous. And I'm like, fuck, like I really hope it's not a migraine. And I just had my first migraine attack like two months ago. - I know. - And went to hospital. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, we talked about in the powder, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like full hospitalized. - Yeah, fully hospitalized, whatever. And I was like, fuck, my life. If this is happening again right now, I'm in the air, like I'm screwed. And so, and then I go to the bathroom, I projectile everywhere in the bathroom. And I sit in there for like 30, I'm in there for 30 minutes. - Are people mocking? - The flight attendant, there was no flight attendant there when I went in. And then when I came out, she was like standing there like, 'cause you know, if you're in there for 30 minutes, they're like, what are you doing? Something suspicious, right? - Yeah. - And then, and then she, like I, right when I was sitting by the bathroom too. So when I got out, she went in there and like, searched it and like looked around in there for like something, I could tell she was like, thought I was doing something strange. - Yeah, I saw you cookin' math. - And then I just was sitting in, and I'm sitting, there's a guy next to me that I don't know. And Jonas sitting across the aisle for me, and I see that he's still awake. And I'm sitting in my chair just trying to like, deep breathe and like, slowly drink water and like, call myself to be like, I'm trick, I'm literally sitting in there in my head. I'm like, you don't have a migraine like, you don't bitch, you're crazy. This is not happening right now. I'm like, trying to trick myself so this doesn't happen. And then I see Jonas cross the aisle and he's on his phone so I text him like, hey, 'cause I don't know what to do. I'm like, hey, I think I'm having a migraine attack right now. Like, I'm kind of freaking out. Like, do I like tell the fight attendant? - Not the person you want to talk to would go. - I know, I will, yeah. - Migraine attack also doesn't, it doesn't sound severe. - It doesn't sound severe. - I know, that's why I felt like a fucking idiot. 'Cause I was like-- - Yeah, yeah, I'm just saying that so the listener understands that. - Yeah, which is what the reason, I'm chatchy, I'm chatchy-be-teens. I'm simultaneously as well. And chatchy-be-teens is like Natalie, please put the phone down immediately. You are just in the hospital for this. You need to alert somebody, even if they don't, 'cause I was like-- - You're just in the hospital, dude. - Yeah, oh my God, oh my God, it's so close. - Okay. - And then it was like, but I was telling it, it's like I feel like an idiot. I don't want to tell them to ground the plane unnecessarily and they're like, it doesn't matter, they'll call flight support. And then I look at the flight map 'cause I'm like, how much longer we on land before we get into the ocean where we can't ground the plane map completely fucked. And we're about to be on the ocean. We're about to leave Northern Canada, whatever. And be in the ocean. So I'm like freaking the fuck out. So I get up, I talk to the flight attendant, I'm like, I'm not feeling well, can you just give me, is there an ice pack and like a black coffee 'cause apparently caffeine helps a little bit with my grains? - Right. - And-- - Did you have a caffeine that day? - No, I never drink caffeine. - You never drink caffeine. - And then I like, she brought that to me. I sat down, I had to get back up again, volumet again. And then I'm like three, four hours. I was just like, in and out of my seat, crawling over the man next to me. like throwing up in the fucking bathroom. - Do you think he knew that you were on a puke every time? - No, he was dead asleep, he didn't know anything. But-- - And then what happened? - And then I just called myself out of it. And I like, I just sat there. And I was like, I gotta go party in Monaco girl. - Come on, go get your shit together. - I wasn't gonna ground the plane. As much as I questioned it, and I was really thinking for at least a solid hour, I was like about to get out of the plane. - I just died first or ground of the plane. Do you know what I'm saying? - It wasn't as severe as when I got hospitalized. - Okay, but that's my question. Would you have died first or ground of the plane? - I would have grounded the plane. What do you mean died first? Why would I die? - I would just never have the balls to ground a plane. - You'd just eat it right there. I would be like, this is it. - I'd be, I don't know, I would hope I'm not dying. But I'd be like, I'm gonna pass out and then they're gonna ground the plane. - Yeah. - I just don't wanna make the call on my own. - Oh. - Wow. - Imagine you're landing. - Right, hero. - You're landing? Imagine you're landing and all of a sudden you're feeling a little better. And now you have to like put it on. And then you have to like, - This is like the worst nightmare. - And then you have to like fake that you're sick. - It's like when I was drowning and I called the fire trucks, and then they got there and I was fine. - Yeah, so that's like, that sounds, honestly almost worse than that. - Yeah, so you're okay now. - Yeah, she's good. - No, no, I'm playing the thing out. Okay, so then you just can park. But like what is going on with you health-wise? Here's what I think it is, but you go. - Like you're singing in general, why am I hearing my parents? - Yeah, what's going on with you? - You're running her to, well, it's partially her fault. - Shit, yeah. - Well, I wanna go on fucking 15 trips a year. - Shut up. - Well, that's a good point. But you're running yourself too much. - Location Vicki over here, that love. - I'm not a vacation. We're working. We're doing vlog stuff. - 'Cause when you left, the day you left, we all worked together on that thing. - Yo, just to heads up, it's gonna be really hard for me to focus for the next eight minutes of the pod. 'Cause I smell. - I know, I smell it too. - Taylor Samish. - Taylor Samish. - I know. - It's almost making me tear up. I missed it so much. - Have a bite. - No, I can't. 'Cause I was eating on the last episode and they were like, "Please, fucking stop eating." - I'll cut it out. - No, no, no, no. - Please. - Okay, just. - Can I see what it looks like? - I mean, you can't smell. It smells the same. - Yeah, I wanna see how fucking it is. - I gotta go, I gotta go. She's here. - Well, it's right behind you. - We're here, David. - David now getting up. He looks about 12 years old right now. - Hey. - Guys, this sandwich. - Can you spryte? - This sandwich is not what you think. It looks like, it's a very mom kind of sandwich. - It's such an interesting, just the, it's chopped up large vegetables. - Yes, there's big red peppers coming out of it. Almost like the size of red peppers that you would grab to have some hummus. Tay has stuck them in there. There's cucumbers. - David is pounding the thing. - This smells so fresh. - Smells very fresh. What's your favorite part of the sandwich? Now a spryte has entered in. Oh my God, not a diet spryte, not a spryte zero. An actual spryte. There it is. He, oh, Natalie's got a good mic on it. - All right, I'm back, I'm back. - My man. - Okay, he's back. - Holy fuck. - How was it? - Insane. Have you liked listening? - Catch your breath. - I love that. I love Taylor. - That was good. - I think Taylor's one of the best people on earth. - It's amazing. - I don't know how she does that. - She really is. - Did you share Obama's meeting with Tay? - About what? - Just about, just like fixing stuff in the world. - Oh my God. - Very nice. - Damn. - Dude. - That's a spryte burp right there. - That's a sandwich and a spryte. - You're actually disgusting. - Really? - Why are you kind of like a vibe? - Oh my God. - Why do people get upset about burps? - Farts I understand, what burps it's like, are you burped? - Yeah, burps are cool. It's like, it's a good meal. You feel like a viking. - Yeah. - Yeah, no, she should be. - I feel like a viking. - You should be excited. - No more, are you? - I'm like protecting you. - But then again, why are your farts gross? - Well, farts are disgusting. - Farts are poo. - Come from the other and it's shit. - Well, so it's throw up then, throw up gross. - Yeah, throw up gross. - Of course it's disgusting. What's your point? Why do I think burps are, what are these statements? - I don't know why you think burps are okay. Burps are also your indigestion and gas from the food you just ate coming out. - Yeah, Naveen doesn't like when I burp. - I think it's so gross. - Dude, when we were landing today, I turned an alley and I was like, you know what I really want to do? - What? - I want to go to the gate. - Oh my God. - He slides open. We have a little slide, divider in our seats and he slides it open, right? When we land, he goes, you're going to hate this, but we should go to the gate tonight, the club, the nightclub here. - Yeah, 'cause I was just like-- - Tonight? - It's a Tuesday. - 'Cause I'm just missing L.A. Like I have just, I've so-- - You have energy to go to the gate right now. I think you're full of shit. - And I guess what, guess what, guess what? And then find out it's Zach, be a 30th birthday. - No way. - So I'm going out tonight. How fun. - In the scene. - I think after that sandwich hits you and this podcast is wrapping up now. - You think? - Old Dave's gonna be like. - Yeah. - No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I just want to go see the people of Los Angeles. - What is it, I get that? Like I get missing home and missing like just like our routine. I've like, what to do, but there's no part. I mean, I don't think I'm going out this weekend. - I also want to drive. I haven't driven. I'm gonna be in the car. I want to go somewhere, I want to pull over. - But like you do that tomorrow. Like you've-- - I want to tomorrow. I really want to do it at all. Actually, okay, so we have to go back to Can in 10 days. - Right. - 'Cause it fall on podcast days. - For sure, yeah. - Yeah, it does. Do you think we should, do you think we should say? - No podcast guys. - Do you think we should stay here, Jay? 'Cause enough is enough, right? We've been there. - Enough is enough with this fucking traveling. - It's not even this traveling. - It's too much. It's the country of France. - It's more than seven wonders. It's what? - It's the country of France that we keep going back to. - Yeah, I know. You fit in a trip to France in between two trips to France. (laughing) - That is true. - Yeah. - That is what we're doing. - Well, let's play it out. - You're gonna go to the can, this time it's can lines. - This is the thing I rave about every year on, if you're a podcast listener, you know every year, I'm like, you love this. - Like for brands, this is the time to go. You meet all these brands. You get to hang out with the CMO CEOs, make good connections, and everyone is just having such a good time, 'cause they're just drinking and having a good time. It's the best way to have a meeting. You're not showing up to a fucking office. You're showing up for coffee and cigarettes, or beer and cigarettes. Has anything come out of previous can lion? - Every time. - Oh really? - Every year. - You've gotten good deals out of it. You've gotten some of something. - Every year. - That's nice. - Every year there's money to be made, but I really think I'm gonna skip this one. - Well, maybe you should go. - I think, I don't know. - It is like a bummer because it is such a great opportunity. Send me in a wig. - I think I also went the years that I wasn't posting a lot, and now I'm posting more. - Yeah. - Yeah. - And then we could skip it. - No, that feels backwards, yeah. - It does feel backwards, but it also feels like, we'll have those meetings somewhere else on Zoom. Before it was like, let me show face, 'cause I'm not as in your face on YouTube right now, 'cause I'm not posting. It's like, I don't know. I could see how it's backwards too. I'm still burping up the stairs. - I need to be honest with you, 'cause you're really giving me the egg right now. - Yeah. - You need to get back and shape my friend. - Oh, what the fuck, it's the one and only. - My drop, that's the end of the views podcast, guys. - What the fuck? - David's gonna hit the gym this week. - Do you remember when I called you, fuck it? Remember when you were like, I feel big, and you went, yeah, so, or what are you saying? - No, what you said was way worse than that. I'm not gonna even repeat it. But I was looking back on the plane. I was looking back. - Me too, I was just going through my photos. - I was going through my photos as I had to, for your immigration stuff, I had to dock you. I had to dock you, and every single time David was left the country in the past six years. - What? - I had to figure out the date, the start date, and the return date, it took me hours on this fucking flight to find every single trip we've taken. - Damn, you do work hard. Yo, who is to you if I was tasked with doing that? - Yeah. - You'd be thrown up at the bathroom too. I would, you'd be grounded in the plane. - I would just kill myself. - Yeah. - For sure, I thought about it. I was like, goddamn, this sucks. But I gotta do it. - That's crazy, good for you. - So many of the needs is green card. - Yeah, wow, okay, wow. Anyways. - Shout out Natalie. - Okay, whatever, shut up. - No, that is pretty impressive, that's a lot of work. I fucking hate that. Even when Natalie, like, texted me. - This is what he wants to get me good olds for. This is no amount. - In fact, she's just like, hey, do you have a picture of when I was in the yellow dress and can? - Yeah. - I'm like, are you nuts? Can you want me to scroll back right now three years? I'm just going back that far. - Oh, that's impressive now, right? - But I was going through old photos, obviously, and I went through my Z-Lid transformation. I was looking back at the photos and I was like, not that I looked bad or anything, but I was like, wow, I was really big in comparison to how I am now, and I can't imagine myself being 30 pounds heavier, and I remember David being my good old true friend, was like, if you ever get that way again, do you want me to tell you? Do you want me to be honest? - Well, you said that for-- - You were like, why did you never tell me? I got to tell you that. - Well, that's the other thing, too. I was like, I know-- - I was like, we tried telling you. (laughing) - No, yeah, I was like, how did you, how did nobody tell me that I was overweight? Like, it's crazy, anyway. - Well, I really did eat a full B.O. on it. (laughing) - You know, that's like the worst one that comes knocking at your door. (laughing) - You down to do a Z-Lid transformation? - Excuse me, it's my habit. - Wow. - And so what, what's your point? He needs to do this. - I just see him falling back in his, and I was looking, sorry, and I was looking at old photos 'cause he was in really great shape when I was in my worst shape. - Yes. And, you know, it wasn't zealous shape. Whatever, but you're just thinner. And like, you looked really good. And just don't want you to fall back and so, tummy taps, you know. - Yeah, yeah, no, I hear you now. - He doesn't care. - No, I actually do. - Oh, you do. - He is like, he is vain in that sense, where he's like, you won't take your shirt off, you know? 'Cause like, he's-- - I would never take my shirt off. - Take your shirt off now. - I know, because he was this deep-rooted insecurity about it. - Take my shirt off when I was in shape. - Well, I know, because again, the deep-rooted insecurity has stemmed for so long that you've like, just not been happy with your body and the way you look. - How are you out of shape right now? - He's not like that bad, but he's on his way. - I'm definitely on my way. This weekend was like the cat, like not the catalyst, but it was definitely the moment where I was like, "Oh, what am I doing?" - Yeah, it was close by. - I know. - So traveling's tough, especially when you have to connect through Germany, 'cause they have brought worse. - How many, how many winners did you have in Germany? - I mean, I'm only there for two hours till my next flight. So I piled those bad boys into my mouth. - Oh, I bet you did. - Yeah, I'm surprised that I'm not turned, I haven't turned into a bratwurst. - Wait, did you have a bratwurst? - Yeah, how I had the bratwurst? - Do you have two? - Yeah, I have two. - Yeah, it's a curve. - You had two of them? - You had two bratwursts in the layover? - You had bread. - Shut the fuck up. - Yeah. - Two, three, what? What are you doing? You can't do that? - I know I can't, and I shouldn't have done that. I tried out to eat on the flight, but that made a beef fillet with fuckin' roasted potatoes. I never eat fuckin' airplane food. - Do you eat it? - And I eat it. - Wow. - I woke up for it. - Really? - It was crazy and I couldn't go back to bed. Yeah, I got to stop eating. - Was the bratwurst at least like you and Jonah, and like, you went and did it together? You used to do it by yourself. - He was a solo mission, I was by myself. - Solo mission, bratwurst, too? - Not only was it solo, but I wanted to eat it so bad, and I wanted to enjoy it so bad. All of it, I wanted to enjoy the ordering, I wanted to enjoy all of it, that I left my bags by the terminal. - Oh yeah. - No one was around me because I go through different immigration because I'm the European passport, so I got there quicker. No one was around me, so I just left the bags by the gate. I'm like, I don't care if they fuckin' think I'm dropping a bomb right now. I'm gonna go, I want to make this walk without anything on my bag, on my back. I just want to grab these bratwurst and enjoy them. - Savage. - I left my computer, everything just by the gate. I walked like five gates over, just to get this bratwurst. - The cops take you in, they take you back into the back and interrogate you. You just want to finish your bratwurst. It's really, I mean, it was really worth it. But yes, I do agree solo bratwurst, wow. - It's the vlogging that's really, that's tough. It's like stress eating, like I stress eating. - Oh yeah, for sure. - Like I've been snacking, which I never do. I like reach for candy, and I like reach for chips now. - I just have to prioritize being, 'cause I haven't, I haven't been in the gym in two months. - Well me either, 'cause we start vlogging, I haven't like, 'cause like, it's not even, the worst part about going in the gym is having to shower. - I agree. - Yeah, so it's a process, yeah. - That's like the process, like, fuck, change your clothes. - Oh, sure. - Even though shower takes like seven minutes, I don't know why I'm so fucked up. - It just feels like I'm just making excuses. - No, it's dry. - Anyway, listen, big week ahead of us. - What are we doing? - Steven Spielberg, Saturday, disclosure day, - Great. - I'm so excited for this movie, and the next weekend, I'm back-to-back movies that I'm seeing. - What is it? - Toy Story 5. - Wow, I'm so excited. - Really excited. - No interest. - What? - You gotta see the trailers, trailers, and cover-- - Toy Story 5, I don't have a four-year-old. - Well. - But it's not even about that. - Well, maybe he wasn't around when-- - I was. - I was. I took my kids to it, it was. - Hey, I'm on the shelf, you're on the shelf. Hey, over here, I can talk to you. - It's just kind of funny to make fun of it that way. - It's so stupid. - I can't make it sound dumb. - Oh, golly-jee, oh, I'm just so pretty. - But it's so true, that's why I'm straight. - Well, I'm kinda dry and mean. (laughing) - Fucking dumb. - Gee, do you think we can get all the way up stairs to the other side of the attic? - Well, if we use this ladder, we can. - That's the fucking worst. - I can't be, I can't be watched that shit. You literally are like mentally challenged. - That's really funny, actually. - I can't be that you like that as an adult. - That's really funny. - It's so dumb. - It's so fun. - It's so fun. - And you know what's even, you know what's the worst? 'Cause you have like an army behind you, 'cause I know John loves it, I'm sure. - I mean, everyone loves story stories. - Tay loves it. See, guys, they're all gonna go, they're like. - They may have lost his head for, but this trailer for this five is. - What's so special about the new Toy Story? - Well, the tech. - Our big stop. - Let me tell 'em. - Oh my God, Jesus Christ. - Oh my God. (laughing) - I really can talk to you. - I know, I know. - I just wanna break the news to you. 'Cause I love that trailer so much. It's the tech. - The tech. - Yeah, so one of the, one of the toys that comes as basically an iPad, and all the toys are like, what the fuck? And the kids are only playing with this iPad now. - Okay, so they could have done this script 30 years ago. - They're big chef, no, it's AI. She's AI. - She's talking about that. - She's the AI iPad? - Yeah. - Okay, okay. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - It's AI. - Oh, I see, isn't it? - It's AI, we're stories. - I feel like AI when you see AI in shows now. I just watch the show hacks, they'd be AI storyline. - I can't go into AI, 'cause you know. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - This podcast will be, this podcast will go out forever. - Three hours. - We should have it. - You seem kind of less AI lately. - Really? - Yeah. I just want to say I went to Pride Fest this weekend. - Oh, yeah. - So fun. And I was like there, and I had this thought, and I don't know if like this is like a cool thought or not a cool thought, but I was like, if I was gay, and I was like fucking going to Pride Fest and like living in West Hollywood, I'd be on cloud nine. - You know what I mean? Like it looked so much fun. - What do you mean? Why wouldn't you be on cloud nine? What kind of a thought is it? - I don't know, I was just like literally like. - It was like the very straightforward thought. - Yeah, that is like Pride Fest festivities. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - I was like, my is what we call Pride Cloud Five. - I was like, they're killing it. Like they're all in shape, they're all so happy. - It's one of the best places to be gay is West Hollywood. - Not dealing with chicks. - Yeah. - It's really fun. - I would love to be gay. Like, yeah, that's what I was thinking. - Well, yeah. - I was like, this is crazy. - There are some serious perks. - Yeah. - Being able to fuck the bros. - Yeah. - I saw this sick dog. - Just being on the same wavelength as God. - Yes. - I love that. - Yes. - I women feel the same fucking way. I wish I was into women. Cause men are disgusting. - Yeah. - Don't like lack the emotional intelligence a lot of the time. - You can't agree with you on all this. It's just so bizarre. But I guess that's why I like that. - No David though. David though, David's like a girl. - Like how are you saying all that? - You're not into it. - I like penis. - No, I say you like to like, you have like emotional intelligence. You like to like rap with girls, chat with girls. - Yeah, and I like to talk to out of me all the time. I don't know what it is. - Yeah, I don't know why she does that. - Well, I think it's you who talked down. - Yeah, exactly. - Yeah, you're so sweet. - I think that's what it is. - Anyways. - Well, that's all the time here for a, I'm just kidding now. What is it with the TikTok yourself? - Well, I was gonna say, I don't know if you saw this, or if you get this on your, if you page right, obviously, anytime anybody talks about David, I get it, and there was, it's a girl posted on TikTok, and it was like, you know what? I want to know who David Dober be fucking, and I thought it was so funny. - Someone posted that? - Someone posted it, and all the comments were like, speculating or whatever. - Who'd they say in the comments? - Well, most people think he's gay, obviously, but it was really funny. - Obviously, I can't believe you're just like, I don't think that. - Well, we know him, so it's probably right. - But do people really think he's gay? - For sure, he will think he's gay. 'Cause he's not like, parading a woman around. - I think he's, 'cause he just doesn't talk about it, and it's like, not really. - I do talk about it, like, because he's a girl. - Yeah, that's true. - Yeah, but like, you're talking about people like, don't listen to the podcast, just people that are like, oh yeah, David Dober, a good guy's probably gay. - Right, like, I guess I'm not like, going around. - Yeah, 'cause all your videos are like, "Guys, I got this truck," or, "Guys, look at this cool sunset." - Look at my toys, I love Iron Man. - Did you hear that? Do you guys want to stop? I can save this topic for tomorrow. - Yeah. - Okay, you want to stop, fine. - Okay, guys, well, that's all the time we have for today's pod. Thank you guys for listening, thank you for joining. We will see you guys for the next one, Jason, as a good topic. - Yeah. - Brace yourselves. It's the next one.
