- I was literally wearing pants from Zazzle yesterday. - Wait, what? Tell me about that. - Hanks face all over them. - No. - I actually forgot that I was wearing them and then I went to the dog park and I saw someone wearing spots all over their pants. Like that, spots all over them. And I said, "Oh, nice pants." And they said, "You really are not one to talk today." - Truly, I have used Zazzle for a long time. If you want to custom gift, Zazzle's the place they've got. - If you want to custom gift of Hanks face on a pair of pants for your friend. - You could put anything on anything it seems. - Do you remember when I made a mug one time? The only reason I remember is I pulled it out this morning to go, "What mug is this?" And it was way in the back, way dusty. And I meant to send it to you ages ago. It says, "Live laugh, lemon," and Comic Sans. There's pictures of me and lemon on like everything. And then it says, "Family is forever." And I was like, "That is, that's a mental health crisis." - A threat. - Yes, sent it to you. - All of us just say, "Use Zazzle." - The opportunities are endless for gifts. Apparently a gift I got M, which by the way, I discovered again this morning. This was probably three years ago that I made this thing. - I'm telling you, Zazzle is the gift that keeps giving. And right now, save 25% of your first order at Zazzle.com. - Man, that's 25% savings on your first order at Zazzle.com. Go make some things amazing. Like I apparently did and M definitely did Zazzle.com. - Today's episode is sponsored by the ASPCA Pet Health Insurance Program as a frequent goer of the dog park. I have seen some scary things happen to the dog park, luckily not to my dog. Although very recently, we had our first scare. He ends up stepping on a bee and got stung. But I was absolutely panicked as a first time dog parent who has absolutely infantilized my little puppy dog. In a moment like that, you really are thankful that you have your pet insurance. The ASPCA Pet Health Insurance Program offers customizable accident and illness plans that can fit your budget, your lifestyle, even your pet's particular quirks. Like if he enjoys stepping on bees and horrifying their parents because let's be honest, that bills can add up fast. All we ever do at the dog park is talk about how expensive our dogs are. Actually, I'm like literally just feet away from Canada with my mother and my mom keeps asking about this tumble rug because I tried to gift it to her when she got this condo and bokeh, like what a stereotype she is. But the reason she wants this rug so much besides the fact that it's beautiful but it's spill proof if you need like a really deep clean of a rug, it's machine washable. It's also safe for kids, pets, anyone's paying time on the floor. My mom's here apart, I'll say is how it looks. It matches all of her decor. She's really gotten into the design of this whole place and she's like the only thing I need left is this rug and I went, "Well, mom, have you heard about tumble?" And ever since then, she's been checking her phone like a maniac for the delivery update. So if you would like to be like my mother and your big old condo and bokeh or if you just want a rug, you know, tumble is a place for either machine washable rugs, they're made better for a limited time only. So please support our show and tell them that we sent you over to them. (gentle music) (bell dinging) Christine, why do you drink this week? This is a real doozy for everyone. If you haven't caught the news. - So I was deciding to just wing it. So here we go. - No, I appreciate that. I want to also wing it. - Okay, great, great, great. That makes me feel better. 'Cause I kept thinking like, am I just being lazy and it's like, no, I just want to speak authentically. Yeah, this is, wow, I did pull the tower. Wow, yeah, so see here's the thing. - Once upon a time. - It all began. It all began in the year. Oh my God, now I'm just stressing people to fuck out. I'm so sorry. Folks, I have to say a very sad thing, which is that I will be leaving the podcast at the end of October, and I was dancing around it, not very gracefully, but that is the news. It's like really sad and hard, but it just feels right and necessary for me at this point in time. And yeah, it's not a decision I made lately and it's not something that has been like recent. This is like something we've been working through for awhile. And yeah, we, I suck. - No, it's what's best for you. And I think it's just, if you haven't noticed, I mean, it's as of today that we're recording this, a press release came out about it. So by the time on TMZ, it's splashed, all over, did you see breaking news? I'm sure New York Times is like breaking headlines. - We have to hit everybody's phone. - We paid Zach Begins to announce it himself, so. - Oh shit, and you know what, he paid, 'cause he's so fucked up in the head. He paid the Amber, the government, the administrative, the corrupt administration to release like a silver alert, you know, about this. (laughing) - Some old, old podcaster is missing. - Yeah, it's just happened to the pastor. - We're just sending her out of the field, and she's gonna go be really happy in a farm somewhere, and you're not eating her for dinner right now. - No, yeah. - Oh, that turned weird. - Well, I do, I wanna add on to what you're saying, that this is, 'cause I feel bad that this is coming so close to the time that Christina's leaving. And one of my biggest concerns this whole time has been making sure that the audience had enough time to process it before anything changed, but unfortunately with the powers that be and just how circumstances play out and telling everyone behind the scenes, we've both spoken about this in our own text messages that we wanted this told to people way earlier. It just did not happen that way, but we have absolutely been talking about this for a long time. This is something that we have both known about, and we're both okay with it, and I absolutely support Christine, Christine, supports me carrying on with the podcast. - Yeah, well, that's the big news, I guess. - Yeah, I guess that's the real big news. Like mine is like the intro to the bigger news. I don't know. - Well, I just, I'm not ready to leave the podcast yet. I really love doing this, and it's just a lot of fun, and I'm very, very lucky, and Christine is at a place in her life where she's ready to try some other stuff, which you can talk about if you want, but I wanna give you. - You'll find me, folks. You can't get away from me that easy, I promise. - Well, this is where-- - We did release statements if you wanna read them for more detail, or if we're forgetting something, which we probably most certainly are. - But just so everybody knows, Christine is still going to be a part of parapods and behind the scenes and everything, it's just not in front of the microphone. As much, I don't even know what level of microphone you even wanna be a part of, but you'll be more on the back end with Eva and all that. - We're talking USB, condenser, no. - Sorry, sorry. - Love, Mike. - Christine will be the mixer. - Yeah. - You might even know me as Big Mike, by the end of the season, or Little Mike, or medium-sized mic, or condenser mic. - Like, okay, the point is-- - Medium mic, yeah. - The point is, this is why we had to release a written statement, not just say it on the phone. - Right, 'cause otherwise it was gonna be too scatterbrained, I guess. But, yeah, I just, I, and I, if you wanna cut this out, that's fine too, but I just wanna say to everybody that I just feel bad that it is so close at the time, I really want people to know earlier, but it's just, it's, it's, it's nobody's fault, it's just how things happen. - Yeah, I think it just, you know, it's just how it's meant to be. I don't know. I let it kinda just happen the way it was meant to happen and let the pieces fall. And I feel like it's gone smoothly enough. We've sort of, I mean, I've both sort of like surrendered to whatever is going to be in this situation. Yeah, exactly. - But, no, we are, everything's like good over here. I fully support Christine's decision. We've known about this for a while. This is not, this is something that, you know, I'm very sad that you're leaving. But, you know, I've made peace with it. I'm only happy for you. And, do you wanna talk more about what you're up to? I know we've put out a press release, but just if people haven't read that. - Yeah, I mean, sure. I, yeah, I feel like, I don't even know, I mean, I'll still be on beach to Sandy with my brother. And we'll be on tour this fall, so that's fun. Just for a couple cities, only within driving distance. But, other than that, I don't know, I'm just kind of like posting, I've been like doing like little channeled readings on TikTok and YouTube that like are just daily, but it's just whenever they come to me. So, I can, if you wanna find me there, but if that's like not, I mean, that's certainly not everybody's bag, right? So, if that's not your thing, please just avoid, 'cause you're gonna be like, "What the hell is this?" It's like, "Oh, what are you doing?" - I feel like people listen here. They probably are about that life. I think there might be probably, yeah, I hope.
And it's like, you know, that's how I learned Tara was by watching these videos of like readers like kind of connecting with my energy and stuff. So I'm doing like energy readings and channeled readings over there on TikTok and YouTube. And I don't know. In the meantime, like I got my raky certification. I have a little studio set up. My brother and I are recording. We have a little space set up. Every other aspect of my life has also very actively seen a tower moment. So we're not gonna go there, but just like, you know, it's, it's, but it's happening. Life is happening like rapid speed right now. And it's sort of like, it has felt like a nightmare like chrysalis for a long time. And now it's like, oh God, everything's happening at once. So yeah, you know, the night my chrysalis, that's me. Not anymore though, I'm out now. I'm free, I'm free myself. Yeah, I don't know where I was going with that. So apologies, but I've never been one to really know how to deliver some awkward information. No, I think we're both just, maybe I'm, it's just me, but I assume I'm speaking for you as well that we just want everybody else to, you know, if you feel like this is like somehow blind sighting you or like it feels a little like informational whiplash, like we are going to get through it together. Christine, you are welcome back anytime. If you are feeling chatty and you know, whatever that. Oh, if I'm feeling chatty. If you ever need to throw in a new little story, as for what's going to happen here on out, I'm going to have some guest hosts feeling for Christine while I figure out the next move. I have had a lot of time to think about what that next move is, but just nothing has felt perfect yet. And I think that's because I just want to make sure that our listeners have either some sort of say or I just want to hear your input on how you would like to see things evolve from here. And I didn't, I just didn't feel right to make a decision or like what if we brought someone on immediately after Christine, I don't want it to feel like, you know, now you just have to like this person and deal with it. Like I really, if you guys in the comments, I know we say that kind of in a silly way sometimes, but truly if you guys have any suggestions on what you would like to see moving forward, I don't want things to change too much. I would still like it to be this format and these topics and things like that because this is already a lot of change. We don't need to change everything and it would like, you know, but anyway, I'm now rambling. I just want to make sure that people feel as comfortable as possible with an uncomfortable situation 'cause it is new and we all know I age-aged. And I'm gonna miss you, I wish you were staying, but I also understand that you've been here for like a decade, it's time for things to-- - Yeah, it's hard to believe. - It's been a long time. - It's hard to believe. Yeah, I know, I'm really, it's been, it's been also along like grieving process. So I feel like, you know, it might not be coming through. - Yeah, right, like here. But we've processed other people. This is new information. But we've both retrieved it. And yeah, it'll be different, but I still feel like a lot is more to come with than that's why we drink. And I hope everyone is okay with that. I hope I know it'll take a second to be cool about it, but we gotta be cool, guys, we gotta be cool. And yeah, whatever, if you ever have any fun new projects coming out or anything, you know, always come on to promote or whatever that is. - Just come on to promote my new channel. - Just pop in. - Hey guys, what if I just do channeled readings on the podcast, we'll be like, hey, hang on, I'm getting something. - Actually, that would be lovely. Can you imagine if you come back and you're actually a full-fledged fucking psychic? That'd be crazy. - I mean, it's like probably exactly what is happening right now, because at this point, I don't know what I am and what I am, not to be dramatic, but I don't know what I am, or what I'm, well, anyway, it all began in the year 2000. (laughing) Yeah, I don't know. I, yeah, it's been. - I know it's awkward. - It's been one hell of a year. One hell of a journey, one hell of a decade, really. - But I'm around, I'm around, I'm just popping around. - Is there, I don't know what the right, I don't even know, I wanna make sure that we give the time it deserves, but I don't wanna harp on it either. But how about for Yappy Hour, if you're comfortable with it, we can just spend Yappy Hour just talking about some favorite moments, or, I don't know. - Yeah, that's fine. - I don't know, whatever floats your boat. - Yeah, we'll figure, we'll flow with it and see what happens. - And for all we know, when I tell you my topic, maybe we'll find something else to flow into it. - I was gonna say, well, by the end of it, we'll have a menu to be looking at, or something. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's always a menu. - It's always a menu, it's always a menu. - It's always a menu. - Well, oh, I'll tell you about this shirt, I just found it in my closet, I bought it 13 years ago and shanghai, and I just found it in my closet. I was like, oh my gosh, this is so fun, my shark shirt. And then I was like, wait, I have lots of shark shirts, and so now I'm starting to realize, I kind of have an issue, I think, I don't know. That's a third shark shirt I've had this week, where I've been like, wait a minute. - That strikes a good question. How many shark shirts until you realize someone maybe has too many shark shirts? - How many shark shirts should-- - A shark, she, she, she, she, she. - How many shark shirts did she have? How many shark shirts did she have? Zero is the answer, and how many shark shirts does she have? - I think probably 16. - I think after four, I would be like, oh, someone's got like a bit of a shark thing. - Well, this one is like, I just bought it at a forever 21 in shanghai, and it was the year of our Lord 2013. Wow, yes, it was, 2013. I don't know why I still own this. This is when I'm saying like, I'm like, I don't even know anymore, I don't think I've worn this shirt since 2013. - Are you going through like a purge? Like are you trying to declutter? - Yes, on every level. - Okay, got it. - Spiritually, mentally, physically, literally. I mean, and it's not really under my control, speaking of surrendering to the universe. It's sort of like, if you follow along any of my, 'cause some people do, and they've been like, really loving and like, jumped over to my, my YouTube and TikTok. But if you are on there, and you watch through, like some of it really is very like, I feel like when I'm reading, energy, I'm reading, like the connection between myself and other people. And so it calls in the same energy of like, what I'm going through. So I feel like, you can almost follow this process. And I started doing it one day. I literally got a voice in my head that was like, just do a terror reading for TikTok. And I was like, that's so embarrassing. - No. - But I just winged it, and I started doing it, and it just kind of worked. So, but yeah, that shows, okay. Like some days you'll look at me and go like, what the fuck is up with her? And it's like my face, it's just like a ghost. But yeah, so you can kind of, probably 'cause it's daily, and probably scroll back and just see my face. (laughs) - Sometimes your hair is like just sticking out. - Oh, just gray. It gets grayer and grayer. Yeah, I start wearing makeup again. Oh, nope, I know. - I know they're silver alert. - Another silver alert, she hasn't washed your hair again. Anyway, it's fine. We're on the, I feel, from my perspective on my life alone, I am very much, I've reached the light at the end of the tunnel of my own, like very much, dark night of the soul experience this year. I feel that I finally reached that as of like, this week, literally, so yeah, it's been like a tornado, a whirlwind, I don't know. But yeah, yeah, I don't know where I was. Again, I'm just kind of winging it here, clearly. - I think people would, I think it's appreciated. Even when we were talking to our manager about how we would go about telling people, I feel like it was a question for her about like, well, do you want to even bring it up on the podcast? What'd you like to do in a different way? And both of us, I think, we're like, there's, you know, we want to be like. - There's like no way around it. - Yeah, right, like how are we not going to talk about it? - And we've talked about every other thing, in the podcast world or about our podcast, we've talked about every single thing up until now will be really weird to not talk about the end of an era. - Yeah, exactly, exactly, exactly. - And it just doesn't feel right. - To be authentic about it, so I, it's, you know, you're going through a lot of changes. I am horrified of change, so I'm sticking with this, but that's not why I'm sticking with it, I also just really enjoy it, but I'll be holding down the fort. And I'm, my feeling about it right now is that I'm going to have some guest hosts help me out, probably through the end of the year, because I don't know if we said this earlier, but Christine is sticking around. Of course, you got to have episode 500 together. We got to, that would feel weird to not do that with you. And Christine is also going to be with us for all of spooky seasons. So we get one last big Halloween together, but then for the rest of the year, I'll be trying out some new people or just hanging out with some people while we figure out what's going on. And if you like anyone in particular, - That tends to be slow season anyway, people kind of start doing their own thing and then picking back up in January, it seems, at least with our audience, so. - I, yeah. So I'm thinking by new years, hopefully, there will be an official decision made, so. - Yeah. Just take a look at my birth chart, people, and you'll see what I'm going through, okay? And then you'll literally know just mathematically what's happening. It's really all very amazing how it reflects back. - Yeah. - Well, I'm glad that you're doing okay. - Thank you. - I was going to make a joke about reading my birth chart and I'm trying to like get it together. So I'm just going with, we're all very proud of you for making some changes and wherever you need to, even if it is also the podcast. But we're just happy that you're feeling better than you were a year ago, so. - Yes, I'm feeling well. - Yeah, I'm feeling more like myself, I would say. - Good, good. - With the sobriety and everything, you know. There's a lot of pieces that just sort of like all accidentally or on purpose kind of way, click, click, click, click, click, and then it was like, "Ah!" - Wow. - You know, things are moving. So, yeah, just weird times. And it gets weirder by the day. I feel like, you know, I don't know. At least my life does. Every day I'm like, "What's happening?"
- What the hell is going on? - I've just been traveling as much as I can. - Yeah, where are you? - I'm in Michigan. - Okay, okay. Oh, you're literally like a, we're like a state away. - Yeah, we are. - Well, sort of. I mean, there's one in between. Just a big one called Ohio. - We're also, I'm on the, like I'm basically in Canada. That's how far up in Michigan. I'm in the upper peninsula, so. - Lovely, UP. - Never been. - It's pretty, heard good things. I'm ready to leave. - This reminds me of your time in the Fondelak. Is that where you went? - The fuck is a Fondelak? - No. - So you're talking about. - What? No. - Fondel. - What's the town? What's the town? Help me. Where's the town that you went to where you were like, oh, it's so boring. It's just like country club people. Or it's like golfing at this place. Now, as you know, it's, I'm making it sound worse. You didn't say that. I'm making you sound like an asshole. You didn't say that. - No, it sounds like something I would say. I'm just trying to figure out what you're talking about. - It was like a veil. It wasn't said in a much nicer way, but you were essentially saying like, oh, it's kind of bored. It was when you were in one of your random states, like Idaho. - Probably Idaho. - Shinks. Hey, by the way, my story today. Okay, speaking, this is-- - Okay. - Is it an Idaho? - Is it in Fondelak? - In Fondelak. - Okay, great. - That's in Wisconsin. What was I, what are you talking about? Where were you? - I was in Cordelay. - You're just like I'm in Michigan. - Cordelay. Okay, Fondelak, Cordelay. - They do both sound like Americanized versions of French things, yeah. - They are, I think. - No, I, also, I've always blown away when Detroit is French. Always forgets, day 12. Always forgets. - I love it. Yeah, no, this has been nice for the waterbues, and I'm also, I've got a little sunburn, if you can tell, but I've seen enough water. I'm like ready to go shopping. I'm over this. - Sorry. - I'm sorry to go shopping. Where do you go? Do you like the influencer thing where you go into like a coach store and you're like, which one should I pick today? - You know, maybe it's the best that you're leaving. Because after 10 years of youth, I've got going in a fucking coach. - I know. I know. I honestly-- - I just love to watch like influencer snark videos, and I watch them so regularly that a lot of my contextual stuff is just like watching like, what's her name? Michaela Nguerra going into like-- - Our algorithms are so different. I don't know what you got. First font a lot. - I can love this shit. - And then it's like, sleep hypnosis to manifest your high quantum reality. Yeah, there's some insane shit in my-- - It's like when we were go study get a Eureka Springs, and you're like, oh, I just listened to like bells. What was it? Like, what do you listen to to fall asleep? Oh, I was listening to the Navajo flu. - Yeah, yeah, the flu, the flu. - The Navajo flu. - And you said it so, so casually though. Like, oh, you know, like the flu. So I'm like, curl. - Just what are you talking about? - I mean, I will tell you about it anytime. So don't even worry. But yeah, where were we, oh, yeah. So that's why I said like when you go shopping on vacation, like what do you do? Because I know some fancy people would go to these, but I don't know. I mean, I go to like the souvenir shops, I guess. That's probably what you do. - Yeah, I'm really a sucker for a Main Street USA. So, oh, yeah. - Yeah. Like I just like the, like the, I mean, sometimes the Main Street is like a bunch of franchises, which I don't care for. But I love when you can go down every street. It's like, you know, like, six street on Boston, where like they're all kind of weird and funky. You know, I love funky. - Yeah, and you just like get a feel for the vibe. You and your mom both love funky. You literally made fun of your mom so much. Like three weeks ago, you were like, she loves funky, it's so embarrassing. And now you're like, I just love anything. - Can I be honest with you? - It's too much shy with Linda. - Up until an hour ago, I was with my mother for the last like 10 days. So that's why. (laughing) - How is it going? You seem like any good spirit. - Well, she's on a plane now. So, she, oh my god. And you did just say I'm over it. I want to go shopping. So yeah, okay. - Well, so my mom did a really good job of planning the trip, but it was more for scenic stuff. And I'm like, okay, I gotta go get some dopamine, that's all. - That's the only difference. - You need a spike, I get it. Well, and she drinks and stuff. And it's like you're not, you know, so that's dopamine hit. You're not doing that. - And we were trying to find some like really good restaurants out here, but the areas that she picked, it wasn't like the main downtown areas of upper peninsula. It was kind of like more like in the middle of nowhere. And so the restaurants were really slim pickings. So it was a different trip than I'm used to. 'Cause the last time we were on a trip together, we went to the fucking Hamptons. And this time it was not the Hamptons. Which is fun. - So then maybe we were all wondering if you went to a coach store today. I don't know. I mean, after that, the Hamptons. - As I said, Hamptons. - You're right. - No, I felt it. - Well, my mom and I, we tried to do a trip every year, usually around Mother's Day. And we tried to find a city that neither of us had been to, but we've traveled a lot of places and so is she. And I was like, we never been to like the fucking Hamptons. And then it became a thing where we like went to say that we've gone. So you've never been to Fondalac. - And that's next. - And that shows. (laughing) Walk through the doorway and realize it right now. But no, so I really did appreciate the views, but I'm ready to go spend some money on some yummy food. - Spend some hot and cash on that Main Street USA corn dog, you know what I mean? - Yeah, well, you know what they have out here, which has been really lovely at every restaurant they have cheese curds. And I know you like a curd. - They have that in Fondalac 'cause it's in Wisconsin. - Shut the fuck up with that. (laughing) I mean, I don't know, I've never been. - Well, before I get into my story, I wanna ask, you know, why are you, not why are you drinking? We know why, I'm drinking for that same reason. What are you drinking? - I just finished my usual bisexual iced coffee. - It looks pretty lesbian to me. That's not very on the boy side with all that. - Well, this is the one that you named the bisexual, but yeah, so I guess, I guess it's like, I guess it depends on where you are on the spectrum, right? A bisexuality. - Where were you today, Christine? Like that cup or? - I don't know, what does it mean in my, like what does it mean? Like this is how I, do you know what I mean? Like it's just like how I present, or is this like how what I'm like more interesting? You know what I mean? - The vibe I get, if I saw you walking down the street and I knew that that was-- - You'd be like, she's more gay. - That's a gay bisexual. - I am also wearing a sleeveless shirt, so that does seem to be a fair guesstimate. But I would say I'm actually like, kind of square, I'm kind of like off everyone at this point in time. - No, none of this. - Come dammit, I really love when you're bisexual. I love, I can't anti-sexual, right? - I'm just kidding. - I'm kidding. - And like when you're the stereotype where you show off your little, your little armies and all that, that's why I'm saying like presenting maybe I'm halfway, but like, I don't know. I don't know, like because I'm not really thinking about, well, I'm telling you, in the tank top, with that cup, I would think that's a bisexual for sure. And she's lady-leaning currently. Interesting, yeah, I wouldn't say that. I mean, that's probably what they picked. - Think what I picked, Leonna from school, yeah. That probably is what they picked. - You don't miss out on the table too long, I got that one. - No, I thought, 'cause I pictured myself, I zoomed out, as I often do, on my own life. And I pictured myself walking through Leonna's school in what I'm currently wearing, which is biker shorts in the tank top. - Yay, come on, girls. - And like, I was like, oh yeah, they definitely think that. But like, I don't feel that gay, like I, you know. Wait, why are we talking about this? - This is so silly. - Why are you asking me that? - I don't know, it was the cup. The cup really scared me. - You're like, you scrapped me. Okay, I, I don't know. It's just the usual, it's the same, okay, here's what I'll say. It's the same cup it's always been, okay? So, you know, perception is reality. That's what I'll say. Here's my cup, you guys can decide whatever you want. And also, I'm drinking, well, I'm not, 'cause it's ice coffee and it's empty, and you can probably tell by how fast I'm speaking. So, I'm now on to water. - Okay, well, speaking of my, - What about you? - Speaking of my mother from usually the Hamptons, I guess when we were out here, she discovered an iced tea that she was so obsessed with, and I don't know how true this is, but allegedly according to her, it's like, it mainly comes from like Greece. - Oh. - And she was like, I have to have more of this tea. It's the best tea I've ever had in my entire life. And then for someone who, I'm clearly missing a chunk of the story because she was like, you can only get it in Greece, but then 24 hours later, she had it in her hands. (laughing) And it was at Aldi, I promise it was at Aldi, I promise you, I would bet you eight million dollars on this spot. - There's no, like jungle gyms and the upper peninsula. - I know, exactly, that's how I, that's such a good thing. - So this, I don't know this tea, I've actually never tried this tea in my entire life, but my mom was getting on a plane and she had three bottles left and she was like, please, she's like, it's like contraband. She's like, I'm getting on a plane. I can't, these can't cross state lines. - So for anyone who would like to try a sponsored by Linda tea, maybe my mom's a new co-host. - Maybe she's like, maybe she's like, oh my God. - Greece, can you imagine Greece, Indiana, or something? You know? - It's gotta be. - It has to be. - It's gotta be like, Gary, Indiana, but like, you know. - It's a little different or something. - Sponsor by Linda, this is Olympus iced tea. Can we see it? - Well, you can, but the reason I haven't shown it to you yet is because essentially gave me three bottles and there are three different flavors and I've never tried it before, I want you to pick the flavor. - There's three flavors? - She, like, did she go to Greece when I was taking a nap? I don't fucking know. - She like, Amazon primed it from Greece or something. - Okay, so here's, here are the options. I have a feeling I know which one you're gonna pick and it's gonna piss me off.
right off. Okay. Here's the first one. Go ahead. This is Mint. Okay. Mint. Mint, lovely. Then we have a Greek Mount Chi. This is for. I feel like they sell this at Costco. Peach. Okay. Oh, that's lovely. Okay. And lemon. Oh god. Well, I would not do that to you on today this day. Yeah. I'm really picking out a wound there. I'm leaving, but you can have something involving lemon. That's my everlasting haunting of this fucking podcast. Yeah. What a name I've made for myself. Peach, I would say, right? Or Mint? No, peach. Peach. You got a pig, babe. Well, you said you would be mad with what I got picked. Okay. Let me think. Oh, I assumed you were going with lemon off this on the spot. Oh, it was lemon. That was mad. Okay. Yeah. Peach. Okay. Great. Let's all see is that I thought it was going to be like caviar flavor and you were going to be like Christine loves this shit, you know, anchovies. And I was like, Oh my, which one's the crunch? I really probably just exist. Okay. So my mom did say when she tried this out of the bottle, she was more disappointed than when she got it straight out of the cup because I guess when she got it at some restaurant Detroit, I guess they like really judged it up with like like different shapes of ice and like a mentally phenol this and so there might be some like like a gap in the presentation versus the actual user experience. Exactly. So I'm going to imagine there's ice and mint in this. Okay. Lovely. And different shaped ice. It must be. It's nice. It's nice. It's nice. I wouldn't import it from Greece in 24 hours or less, but oh, wait. They do. They literally sell it at GreekGoGreek.shop. Well, there you have it. And that's like where you have to buy it. Your mom is like not messing around with this shit too. She was, it was like, I don't know what was going on, but her pupils were dilated when she was telling me about it. She was like, I have to fucking have this right now. She'd already had 16 bottles of the Olympus iced tea and was like, I'm on to something. I think our fans were like this when she was talking about it. Anyway. Okay. Mike, people in Greece are on the case and they're going to get the case to me tonight. I feel like the Greeks are going to hear those and go, that's not that's like nothing. That's like, no, here it is. Swords from you are going to go get zapped by a lightning bolt because it says right here, source from mountain Olympus. It says on the website, Greek cart.shop. What the fuck more do you want? Sourced from mountain Olympus is produced from side or right as leaves. That sounds poisonous. And it sounds bad. I wouldn't drink any more of that. And it's made according to the traditional Greek recipe. Okay. Well, maybe it's safe. The leaves are carefully hand-picked and then gently brewed, releasing all its flavors. See, this is part of the experience. Like you didn't get. I mean, maybe you did because your mom seems like she did have an entire like sales pitch. I was taking a nap in a hotel and she came back and she said, you have to have this tea. So maybe the mint one will really do it for me. I feel like if she needed us, we'll leave a mint with the peach. Maybe she needs to slice the peach. Well, no, isn't refrigerated. Is it, you need it cold? Is it really cold? It's not that would make the difference. Oh, you got to have it chilled. I feel like that'll make a difference. My mom's screaming in her car while she's listening to this going. It's like throwing them out the window. Oh, I thought you met her on her way to the airport. Throwing them out the window. She wouldn't dare, not this, not this treasure she's found. Not this, yeah, beautiful contraband. That's worth like millions. Anyway, that's exciting for you. That is quite a big why you drink, though. Like from Olympus, I had to go to Mount Olympus to get a drink for the news that we just, the A-bomb, we just dropped on people. Do you know what? Do you know what that is? It's a sycephian task. A sycephian task. No, because I say it wrong. Sycephian task. Sycephian? No, that's what I fucked up and I added an extra syllable to sound. And I made myself think I was sounding correct, but it's actually sycephian. Okay, whatever you say. You're right. It is whatever I say. For those who aren't watching, I just give a real nasty look to Chrissy. That's sometimes how I say it. And sometimes it's not. And sometimes we say, well, yep, it's like we say that. It's like you've never spoken a day in your life. It's like I was never meant to be here after 40 years. No, what's half is artly? That's what I was trying to think of. And Sagu and Fondalak and all the other things we've said for so many years on this show. If there's one thing you guys know about me, I love to what? Say it with me eat, but you know what? I don't like doing when it comes to eating, cooking, and I don't like waiting around. I don't like having to go to the grocery store. I don't like having to figure out what ingredients I need. I don't like having to do anything that's going to require more than like 20, 30 minutes of my time. So a lot of times I get overwhelmed when it comes to cooking or you know grocery shopping or even just like being, you know, just thinking in a healthy way about food. Sometimes it's just easier to just grab something quick. But luckily with Hungry Root, they have really helped me out. They have food that looks very, very yummy and I click it and all of a sudden it shows about my door and all the ingredients are picked for me. And you can even pick options on recipes based on how long you're willing to actually cook in the kitchen, which is my favorite part of this. I just came across what was something. It just came in Allison's box because we both use Hungry Root. It was a pining styled stir fry. Oh god, I love pining. It was so good. And the best part about how I kind of limit my choices. I'm like, oh, I only want, you know, to cook for 20 minutes or less or whatever it is. But then Allison comes has a different, you know, preference sheet. And so when her food shows up, I'm like, now wait a minute. Maybe I'd actually cook a little longer for that because I look really good too. Hungry Root is so, so yummy. It's so good. It's healthy for you. They pick the ingredients for you. It comes to your door. They take out so much of the work for you. It's really worth your time. Speaking of the news that we are dropping on everyone today, I was concerned that I was like, well, I have to go next after we say things like that. How the hell, what kind of topic am I going to offer up that people will actually listen to? Because I feel like a lot of people are in a real murky emotional state at the moment, especially the people who've been listening since the very beginning. So I thought I would, what are you an energy reader now? I just have a vibe. murky. So I'm trying to keep spirit high and I especially want to keep your spirit high because I knew we were going to talk about it today, but I didn't know what energy you'd be bringing if you would be sad. I'm bringing 2013 short shirt, baby. Oh, man. I'm losing my mind. I did this with the preparation that maybe it would have gotten really sad. I thought maybe tears would be shed on my eyes over here. So I was I was trying to make sure that I kept the mood right. So I'm seeing if I have any, I could do like a little like, I'll just like pinch myself real quick. That would make me feel better. Just here. So I don't have to. We'll fix it in post. Okay, great. Check. Well, in case you were going to have, you know, you were going to feel super mopy, I was like, I got to pick something that Christine's going to fucking love to get her back in the right energy space. So great. This turned into one of those things where I thought it was going to be quick. It became not so quick, but you also, if I'm going to tell this information, anybody, it has to be you. This is a biographical account of chip coffee. Now I want you. I literally had no, I literally thought you're going to say Zeus or Poseidon or some shicks. I still think about that iced tea and then you said chip coffee and it's like, you're a dream man. I mean, he's literally the dream man of all because like the scarves, the skulls, the chip coffee shop, dot shop or whatever it's called. And man, it's just like good idea after good idea with that guy. Talk about business acumen totally. And also just like connected like to the dead people. He's like, oh, that one's not nice. And I'm like, oh, he can read a room like no, but of dead people. I mean, like nobody's business. Every time you mention him and then I go watch like a clip of him, I go, I totally get what Christine's obsessive right? It's like when people look him up and they're like, oh, shit, like, yeah, he's a, he's a, he's an icon. Well, I want you to know, this is not just any old puts and around research. I want you to know that I read multiple books. Did you go straight to the source? Of course, I want to reach out to the source. Oh, what did I reach out to chip coffee? No, I didn't. No, no, no. Well, he, well, he and I DM you should have DMed him. He literally said, I heard my mention on your podcast. Like, oh my god, I was going to say, tell me he's signed up. Well, listen, Chip, you better be ready for whatever's about to unfold here because I certainly am not. It didn't occur to me that DMing was even an option here. But I mean, he's a very busy man. So, Chip, if you're listening, just know that you were the present that was going to keep us all in high spirits today. Yeah. So this I read of all episodes to jump into. This is a weird one. Yeah, he's like, what the hell's going on here? It's like why these people talk. I'm going to sue these people. Actually, it's what I'm going to do. Well, then I'll give you a big shout out so you don't sue us. I got a lot of my information from his own book called Growing Up Psychic. I listened to just about every interview that's part of our YouTube.
YouTube has to offer. This is like, this one I took, it was, it spent, I spent some time on this. So it was a labor of love. It was a labor of love. This is for you. So. Oh, I'm so honored. This is so exciting. Okay, so he calls himself, but Christine calls him many things, but let's get with the professionalisms here. I already in this episode have called him many things. Yes, besides Christine's dream man. Yep. He calls himself a pre-cognitive psychic, a medium, an empath, a spiritual counselor, and a communicator with the dead. He's also a speaker, a writer. He's just like a full package. An investigator and an ordain minister. He has been featured all over the place. A lot of this I just found straight on his website, which I love this, he feels there's something about him. It's just, it's just aligned. It's all a lot. Do you know when you meet someone and you're like, Oh, yeah, this makes sense. Just like aligned. It makes sense. On his own website, he like listed every single thing he's ever been credited and it seems like. And so just fantastic. Just from pieces of his website, I found that he has been featured on Coast to Coast, Larry King Live, Mori, the insider biography channel, Tyra, ETVH1, people magazine, The Soup Chelsea lately, Expedition Unknown, Haunted Salem Live, Extracism Live, which is a crazy. We should talk about that. Haunted Collector real fear. Good morning, America. Nightline, CBS is Sunday morning. Wait, no, hang on a second. I'm going to wait till the end of the bio. We can cut that. We can take this, just drop it in the end, but just real quick before I forget, ship, what are you doing? End of like beginning November throughout the rest of the year. That would interpret, interpretable, undeterminal future because where there's a spot, a vacancy that's opening up here at the show. I don't know if you stepped away and ship coffee arrived. I would literally be like, I should have stepped away five fucking years ago. You literally be like, now I'm an avid listener of the show, all of a sudden. Now I literally love this show. It's amazing. Wow. I'm looking for someone to guest host between November and December. You let me know. So he also apparently gone into acting for a while. Did we know this? Well, I certainly did not know. I'm so sorry, Chip, if you're listening to this. None of the things that I saw on his IMDB and his acting section were very recognizable. They were a while back. But he is also apparently known for A&E's show "Air Line," which I did not know about and we need to discuss at some point. From what I'm seeing, it was his first appearance. I looked everywhere under the sun could not find this show. It just doesn't exist anymore. But we need to talk about it because apparently it's Southwest Airlines reality television show. Hello, Dude Harden. And never ever was this discussed to me. Why has ticked my now an algorithm would have shown with our combined Venn diagram like Sliver of interest. We would have both received that. I would have talked about this. There's no way we could have missed this. So he was in one of the episodes that about I guess haunted planes or something and the title was things that go bump and the flight. Okay, well I'm gonna lose my mind. Yeah, that's great. Let's just know notes. No notes on that one. He is and that was pre-AI by the way. So like, let's give them props for that. He is best known for his recurring appearances on paranormal state and psychic kids as well as Kindred spirits. Oh, I love psychic kids. Oh my god. He has done tens of thousands of readings for people over the years. Oh, and if you're like what's Kindred spirits and it sounds familiar, we had Amy Bruney on recently and did a book giveaway. And it was just really fun and cool. And she's awesome too. Did I tell you I just had a high tea with Amy Bruney recently? No. Yeah, you did not. That's like the most first what? Yeah, holy crap. My mom and Tom watched us talk. Did you drink Olympus tea? I must have. That would be fucking crazy. Can you imagine you bring your own tea to the tea party either like bones and I and I had a chicken salad little sandwich situation. Oh my gosh. Lovely. It was nice. I met her daughter. It was very nice. It was very at random. I was just at high tea with my mom and I saw someone say next to my mom and I was like, "She looks like Amy Bruney." And then I went back to talking to my mom and then she went, "Don't I know you?" And I went, "Wait, you were both sitting there?" That's what I'm saying. Yeah, we both that's well, I know you said I had high tea with her but I just assumed like you saw she was in town and like messenger or something. No, it was very random. That's crazy. Literally and we were on an island. What are the odds? High tea. You should have asked her about chip coffee. She's literally like his best friend. Well, I didn't know I was going to cover this yet. Okay, well, had I I would have been like psychically. I was telling you somewhere in a different reality. So, you know what? You should have been listening. Well, no. So her and I we are that sounds lovely. We ended up having high tea with our families for like over an hour together. It was very wonderful. Yeah, and she's like just written a book. Anyway, it's great. So those are where our man kindred spirits. Oh, so good. Delicious. Delicious. Our man chip coffee. That is his intro. And now we're going to get into it his his biology biography. What? That handsome man. No, and now we are going to get sued. Please. Do you know anything about his background? Do you know the background? Apparently, he's been acting in a few things, including Southwest Airlines, sad tragically, no no longer running reality series. But no, I don't know much. I mean, from psychic kids, but Southwest Airlines has changed way too much recently. And by that, I mean, the reality show has to come back. I mean, that's the only big thing missing in my book. Here we go. I tried to keep some real spooky stuff in here for you. And I tried to get as detailed with his past as possible, because if you love this man, the way you say you do, you need to know everything about him. Because what if one day he just shows up? You have to be able to. Well, then I look insane. And I say, right? Then I'm like, Hey, how's your hand phone about that? You know, I think about that constantly because I heard you were an actor. Well, because it happens to us sometimes, right? Where people are like, Hey, how like I heard Juniper sick or something? And it's like, what? Because I'm like behind, you know, I didn't like click. And it's like, Oh, shoot. And then they're like, Oh God, sorry, I heard them on the podcast. Like, I feel like then I get this thing. But honestly, he knows now that I know. So it's like, okay, yeah. This is how you're finding out. And he knows that. Yeah. And he's also finding out at the same time, which is cool for him. It's exactly right. I bet I bet he loves this. I bet he's loving it. I hope so. There's no, there's no shade about him in this. Just just oh my god. Riff and interesting story. His Wikipedia didn't have like what's that category where it's like a footnote or no, no, the category where it's like controversy. Oh, yeah. Okay. So he's an only child fun fact. He was born in El Miro, New York. Okay. I did know both of those things. Jesus. Okay. Juno's birthday. Do his chart later. He was in Aries. I don't know. What is he? He is born August 21. So last week, two weeks ago, he. Okay. So that's like Leo August 21. That's like great. Late August is he Virgo? He's legal or Virgo. He's on the cusp, I think. There's not technique. Yeah, it's Leo. Okay. Cusp. Yeah. There's not technically Cusp. Is that what you're going to say? So it's sort of sort of. I don't know. I'm learning a lot about astrology. But yeah, it's technically Leo. But um, yeah. Okay. Fire sign. I was close. I'll take it. Cool. I mean, I'm not surprised at all that he's a fire sign. No scars. Those are his flames. You know, I mean, really they do like whip people into a frenzy. Yeah. They go fan, especially on the airs. They fan the flames. Holy shit. Well, I guess that's more an air sign, doesn't it? Whoopsies. Okay. So he was born through. I bet he's like a Gemini rising. I would love that. He that would be great. August 21, 1954. Apparently he's Irish Native Americans, specifically Cherokee, Dutch and English. And he calls himself a Heinz 57 Blend. Yes, he does. There's no way he says that without his flaming scarves. No way. So flaming because of the fire sign conversation, not because he's gay. Okay. Which he is also the supernatural experiences around chip coffee have been happening in his life, literally starting at birth. Do you know about his birth? No, no clue. Okay. So his mother had a near-to-the-experience while giving birth to him. During the C section that they were having, his mother's blood pressure dropped so drastically that she blacked out and then had visions of two angels dressed in white lifting her off the table. Like, bye-bye bringing her away. Oh, my. She told them to let her live and they vanish. They just put her back on the table and went away and she came to just in time to give birth to chip coffee. I can't believe angels were almost going to like not let chip coffee happen. Yeah, leave him that's not nice or I'm sure he whatever the situation was. That was not his mother or family in generals first paranormal experience. Chip actually comes from many people with gifts. So his mother, her whole life had psychic abilities. His grandmother read tea leaves. His great-grandmother was a respected indigenous medicine woman and because of this he thinks this might be how he got his gifts because in some interviews he did say that he thinks that these abilities are hereditary but he doesn't think that the abilities themselves are rooted in DNA. He just thinks how easy or accessible these gifts are is what's rooted in your DNA because he thinks everybody has these abilities. Yeah, I love that. That's such a cool way to look at it. It just depends on how easy it is for you to access. So he. his whole family seems to be really tapped into the shit. And because his family was so involved in this world, he luckily actually grew up not being judged for his abilities. And it was very normalized. So one of the things he talked about in his book, a lot was like, don't make your kids feel like fucking weirdos. It was very normalized at home, but they did tell him to keep it private and keep it within the family to avoid judgment because at different times in his life, he lived in the Bible belt. So in the '50s, '60s, I mean, that's just safer. Fun fact, since we're talking about that, he was raised Catholic, he's still very, very religious. And he had something interesting in one of his, it was either an interview or a book where he said, well, if you're gonna believe in all the mystical parts of religion, why is the mystical parts of being a medium, so fucking crazy, do you? - Yeah, that's what's so wild. Catholicism, that's why there's like this, they call it like a pipeline from like recovering Catholic girl, like school girl, or whatever to like, which, you know, because it's like, the ritual is so similar. Like there's just-- - I mean, it's literally blood sacrifices to somebody and you are chanting every word with each other and eat the blood of his body and all that. - I mean, my grandmother like had these like altars, and you know, it's like, to like the Virgin Mary and it's like, yeah, like now I have that, but in a different context, yeah, it's pretty weird. - Like you say deity and all of a sudden it's fucking crazy. - I know, I know, so yeah, that's an interesting take. I do have notice that he's pretty religious, yeah. - He said a quote, I'm supposed to say it later, but I'm gonna read it here, 'cause it's so funny. A lot of people think that the paranormal goes against the Bible, but newsflash, I'm a Southern gay Catholic psychic medium, wrap your brain around that. - Wrap your scarf around that is what I say. - Open the door and fucking realize it or whatever. - And don't let it hit you on the way out. Yeah, you know what, that is so beautifully put. That is so beautifully put, yes. - We gotta bring back newsflash. - Newsflash, newsflash is so good. - We should have put that at the start of the episode when we had a real newsflash. - Literally, yeah, you should have brought your jacket when you were reporting your gun. - Oh, did it, did it, did it? - Yep, I should have, next time. - Okay, so Chip Koffee is born. And one year into his life, they moved from New York to Spartanburg, South Carolina, which is where his child modeling began 'cause he was a calendar baby. Oh, oh my gosh, of course he was. - I think somewhere in his toddler years he was a calendar baby. While he was a toddler, he also started to show psychic abilities. The first thing he used to do was he would just stare at the family phone and just shout someone's name and that person would then call the phone. - Crazy. - To shout someone's name. Can you imagine? - Grandma! - It'd be crazy if he was like, the president of the United States. - Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. The core dealership again. - Yeah, imagine if you're trying to like have a sneaky phone call, like not around him. - Uh-oh, no, no secrets. - But so it became like his thing. Like everyone knew like, oh well, if he's their name and they're he's looking at the phone, they're gonna call. - And I love that because they were so like a supportive of it that he just was like, yeah, I do this all the time and it's so normal. Like so many of us, if you're like, are like, is it real, is it real? And he's like, oh, it's just always been real. - And there was no shame rooted in it. So he didn't even pray. - Yes. - He didn't even occur to him to not do it or tell people. - To trust himself, yeah. - So he actually does very funny. He calls himself the original caller ID because. - Okay, that's great. This guy's calls himself a lot of things I tell you. - I should have put that in the beginning of his intro. The original caller ID, chip coffee. - You know what you said, you told me, I call him a lot of things and I thought I did, but now I'm realizing he calls himself a lot of things and I'm like, honestly, he's doing a big job. - Use flash. (laughing) - Use flash. - So again, the family did not make a big deal out of this. They treated it like it's normal. And a few years, like when he's like seven or eight, I think, they moved back to El Maira, New York. So he was born in El Maira, then they went to Spartanburg, now they're back in El Maira. - Okay. - They do a lot of flip-flopping between those two towns. I'm very confused. When they moved back to New York, they buy a family's house, everyone has passed sense but the family was originally the Murphy's. So now they're moving into the Murphy house. One of the only things in this house that the Murphy's left there, which is so fizzuckin' eerie, is a framed greeting card on the wall. And it reads, "The house is yours. "It's portal opens wide and welcomes you to all inside. "Dear friend and guest, enter in peace and rest. "The house is yours." - Like I beg to differ. - How far into the signing process contractually have we gotten? (laughing) Did the Zillow listing actually show a photograph of that on the wall? 'Cause if that didn't show, then I consider that to be false advertising. Also, I rebuke all of that just from my own energetic field. - Bye. - That's terrible. - You know what's so funny? It probably was meant with such kind intentions, but you have to look at it from the other perspective. That's the eerieest thing you could have left behind. - Truly. - Not just like a note that says, "Welcome home." - But you have to know what you're doing, right? You can't be, I guess you can't be that unhinged to think that's normal. But I don't know, what do you. - I have no idea. It's like those people who leave fake skeletons under their crawl space. - Oh my God, let's stop it with that. You're gonna give someone a coronary, and it's gonna be me. And then I'm gonna send you the medical bill, but I'm not, because I'm too nice for that. - Well, fun fact. One day, Chip decided to open up the frame to clean it, and he found a picture of the youngest Murphy child, hidden behind the right. - I was like, I promised this was some sort of like, channeled message to him about something, and there you go, oh my gosh. - Fun fact, he has sense, 'cause he re-framed the picture in a new frame or now the picture of the daughter and the poem are tied by side in this frame. And he has hung it by his front door at every home he's lived in. - Hey. - All of a sudden it's weird. - I love that. - Chip coffee. - He knows. - He knows how to alchemize really creepy people's behavior, just like I used. - Breaking barriers. - Into, like, your own magic. That's kick ass. - He's everything, 'cause I was really letting you ride that wave of thinking I was horrifying, 'cause it is. - It really is. - 'Cause it is. - Objectively from the start. - And then he found a way to say, "Let's bring love into this." - That's what I love. Yeah, it's like, you know what? This has been given to me, and I don't really have a choice here. So let's just fucking go with the flow. And honestly, it's my dream to fucking find an old photograph inside a creepy frame. Like, hello, that's the dream. That's my dream. - Well, so it's funny you mentioned Zillow earlier, because when the family moved in, I guess they were under the impression that they did officially own the house, but then the person who helped them sign their mortgages or whatever, ends it up realizing, "Hey, did you know that even though this family lived here "and all the family members died, "and technically there's nobody left to own this house?" There's actually a missing son of theirs, who if he's alive actually is the official owner of the home. - And we don't know where he is, but you have six months to try to find him and let him know, and if you can't find him in those six months, then the house is yours. - Yeah, try and hit that on Zillow. - That's not one of the texts, you know, when he looks the text. - He probably comes back one day going, "I'm looking for my frame, where is it?" - I've cleaned it for you, actually, and polished it and re-framed it. That's the chip coffee way. - He's like, fine, fine, fine, as long as you didn't show my sister's face again. - Oh no! - So, while they are trying to figure this all out, because they're like, "Oh, shit, we have six months." So, they're putting classified ads everywhere trying to find this guy, which is really honorable of them, because I feel like my family would have been like, "Let's just hope he doesn't show up for six months." - Well, I was gonna say, "Why did they have to fucking look for him?" - It does feel like it shouldn't be at their job. - It doesn't feel like it shouldn't be at their job. - But is that the like deal? But also, like, how do you check up on Glee? - Maybe that was just how it was back then. I have no idea. - That's just how it was if you found a house. Go find yours at the house, and now find other people to take it from you. - By the way, there is a creepy poem on the wall, and it's for you, like what? - So, they went looking for this guy. Fun fact, they never actually found that guy. So, they ended up keeping the house, but while they were looking into the family to figure out what this guy's name even was, they learned that two of the kids that lived here died either in or nearby the property. One, definitely in the property, one nearby. And so, while they're making these discoveries, and realizing that people have died in the home, all of a sudden activity starts picking up in this house. A little overdue if you ask me because everything else. - After finding the girl's picture, I'd be like, yeah, aware of it. - I'd just show yourself, babe, I'm so over this. - The portal already welcomed me inside to meet you. Where are you? You're supposed to say surprise now. That's like the part. - It is the part. I don't know what she's thinking. So, she likes the fashionably late movement, I guess. - Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, true. So, life starts turning on and off. The piano starts playing by itself. They start feeling cold spots in the hallway. And then, this was during Christmas, so they had these pine cones in a bowl as decoration. You know how that is. - I know how that is. - To this day in 2026, you're like pine cones. Obviously, are the moon. - Nailed it. - One of the pine cones. - Oh, shit. - One of the pine cones starts levitating in front of him and his dad. - Oh. - And this is a quote from Chip Coffee. He says, "I remember the pine cone incident perfectly." My dad and I were sitting down and watching TV at Christmas time. There were all these decorations and glittered pine cones. - I knew it. - Literally, it was meant for him. All of a sudden, one of them lifted about six or eight inches above the television, floated suspended midair for a few seconds, and then dropped back down perfectly in place. My dad and I turned to each other a little wide. I didn't say a word. It went pretty well.
back to watching TV. - That's how Dave Rigor, it was. - That lit, first of all, thank you for that. And second of all, what a life to live. It's like Adam's family. Like, oh, not another thing, not another, yeah. - Also, did you just hear someone knock? - Yeah, was that me or you? - I think it's housekeeping, hang on a second. - This just unfokes, bras are uncomfortable. (phone ringing) - Okay, quick moment. There was a knock knock at the door. And like I checked on it, it was the internet people checking in. And I opened my phone and saw that our lovely announcement went live as this was all occurring. And your mother liked a bunch of my videos on TikTok. So something is in the fucking air. - She can smell that I'm making fun of her on the air. - She's on the airplane, somebody's talking about me. But also, what was I gonna say? 202 portal. I don't remember, it doesn't matter. The point is, oh, yep, okay, here come the comments. I'm turning my phone off. - Yeah, no need to read that. - Bye, okay, so anyway. - People are weak. - People are gonna have big feelings for a while and then I'll give it a shot. I'll give it a read. - I've only seen a nice, I mean, what? - Oh, good. I don't think anyone's gonna be, whatever, we'll see. - I hope all is well and everyone is very happy for you and understanding and everyone be nice. Everyone be nice to both of us. You don't have to be nice to me. You can do whatever you want. - You have to be nice to me. - You have to be nice to them. - Okay, you have to be, it's the rule. - Or else, I'm gonna bring those two random men back in here and they're gonna turn the internet off. (laughing) - Man, it couldn't get scarier than that at the end of a sentence about two random men. - I just had to say two men, that was all it took. - Where are we? - Yeah. - I don't, apparently, still here. - The Pine Cone Falling. - Oh God. - So the Pine Cone Falls and Teminis. - The Pine Cone Falls. - Pine Cone Falling. - Recording. - Pine Cone. - Pine Cone. - So Chips says that the family never fell in danger there, but they knew that the Murphy's were there and they were just happy to share the space. I think that's like an actual quote from one of his interviews. - That's nice. - But because of the activity growing, the family did bring investigators in just in case, to make sure that they weren't crazy. And the investigators got EVPs of a little girl, an older man, a piano playing, and a train in the background, even though trains don't go through there anymore. - Oh, that's cool. When the coffees ended up moving, or when they planned on moving, they were like, "Oh, man, we're really gonna miss the Murphy's." And so they straight up invited the Murphy ghosts to follow them back to South Carolina. - Oh, my God. Wow, so they really were close. - I guess they were like, "Well, we feel like this is your safe enough." - Did they guess? - Well, also he took the picture. So it's like, if you take the picture, I feel like you kind of have to invite them along. You can't really leave them there without the picture. You know, like that's the one thing we had left and I were taking it. - So yeah, it feels like you kind of can't do, like separate them in a way. - Well, so they ended up literally inviting them as they're moving out going, "If you'd like to come with us, you're more than welcome to just be nice." And shortly after moving in, one of his T-shirts, one of Chip Coffee's T-shirts that was lying on the chair, levitated into the sky and fell back down. And the family was like, "Okay, well, they came with us sick, that's awesome." - Wow, they're like, "You can do it, we can do it." So now the coffees and the Murphy ghosts are all living back in Spartanburg, South Carolina. And as soon as they move in, previous residents of the house come by and say, "We used to live here, can we check out the house?" - Mmm. - And the guy walks around the house and is telling them stories about when he was a kid there and then he looks at the family, the coffee family, who also have their own ghosts that they've just invited into the building. - Oh, go on. - And this man says, "Have you seen anything strange since you moved in?" - Shut up. (laughing) - And he says, when he was a little kid, they used to see a huge shaggy creature with thick, heavy hoof prints and he called it the Wang Doodle. - I rebuke it again. I don't know if you heard me the first time. All of this is out for me. Thank you so much. - Well, what's extra horrifying about this is that right before this guy showed up on their property, Chip Coffee's parents had been seeing really heavy thick hoof prints in the ground. Oh, my God. And they're like, "Oh, nice a horse." (laughing) - Oh, God, what have I been petting this whole time? - Just a joker. - Is he devil in our forest? Holy fuck. - And it later became a thing where like Chip Coffee would hear this monster. I don't like that. - Trying to break into their house at night or was like walking around really heavy and moving things around on the porch and every, when he would go out there later and see what was going on, they would always be heavy hoof prints in the front yard. - I just can't abide by any of that. - Oh, really fine. - So anyway, that's his like young childhood. All of his experiences up to this point had him really hooked on leaning into the supernatural. Obviously it was normalizing his family. They have the Murphy ghost. He's got this wingdoodle he's dealing with. And not another wingdood. And he taught himself tarot. He got prescriptions to paranormal magazines. There was a soap opera that he loved that we need to get into called Dark Shadows, which was apparently-- - Yes, I've heard of that. - Oh, you have, okay, I believe so. - Well, he was obsessed with that. And then he started actually telling what? - Sorry, yeah, I definitely know Dark Shadows, yes. - I need to get into it then. He started telling some of his close friends that he could trust that he was able to like, predict events before they happened. And by 10, he was giving his friends private readings. That's amazing. I remember that fact from one of the psychic kids episodes. - Oh really? - And I was like, 10, yeah. - So cool. I remember when Deirdre got into tarot and it made us come over so she could do breeding stress, but also she was like, 12. So who knows? She could just be making shit up. - But it was-- - I always wish I had the balls to actually make stuff up. Like then I would have been doing this years ago. Like I just can't commit to the bit like that. - Fair enough. - I can't like boldly, like I would just be giggling or making. But yeah, that feels like something powerful that you could do as a kid. Just make it all up. - Oh my God, especially before the internet. - No one can even fact check. - No one can fact check you until Sportful comes around or whatever the fuck it was called. - Or Ask James or Yahu-Lakans. - Chalk-chalk. - Oh yeah, Chalk-chalk. - Yahu-Lakans. - So these close friends that he felt like he could share that with, they were awesome. They encouraged him to keep it up. And then his parents also had two family friends that were into the supernatural. And they also normalized that they made him feel like he could go through dealing with this and learning about it. And one family friend actually had a husband who passed and Chip knew what happened before anyone else told him. Because fun facts in his family, they have, the coffees have this thing. We're like, oh, if you see a dove in the house and it flies diagonally across the room, it means someone you love just died. - Can you imagine that happening in that fucking times? Where you're like. - Okay. - Literally, I was about-- - Every time I saw a dove, I'd go, ah! Okay, but think about it. Think about it, see, you're good. (laughs) I'm technically sideways in the classroom. And then think, oh, no, maybe I, maybe that was something else. How do you, there's no, it's not like, oh, did I hear a knock or no? Maybe I was imagining it. You're like, oh fuck. - Yeah, I'm gonna just wait until this is back. - Yeah. - Oh shit. The second it flies diagonally, I-- - Oh! - And also, if I just saw a bird in my house, I wouldn't even have time to think, is it a dove? I just be like, how the fuck do I get this bird out in my house? - I think you'd be the dead person. - Yeah, I think so. - I wouldn't see it. I wouldn't see it hit the other side of the room, I'd just go, I think, so yeah. - Well, so I guess they knew that one of the family friends who is all into the supernatural, her husband was sick. And then he saw a dove in the house in a flu diagonally, and then his mom called him, and he was like, I already know he died. So, crazy. - Whoa. - And the dove told me, by the way, his mom, I know I said that his mom has her own psychic gifts. I need to tell you, it's very quick. One of her own experiences where, apparently, she predicted Elvis's death because she had a dream of Elvis's mother, which how did she know who she was? - Well, I think she was probably pretty famous. - Elvis's mom, really? Am I stupid? - Well, I don't know. Elvis was so effing famous, I don't know. - I guess I know what just happened.
and Bieber's mom looks like. - Right, exactly, we're like, I don't know, people know what like, Taylor, I mean, I don't really know, but like Taylor Swift's, I don't know. - Yeah, I don't know. - Ever with the Jonas Brothers dad? - Yeah, I mean, at his brother, they know Frankie, bro, Frank and Jonas. - They kinda all look the same to me, but. - Well, apparently Elvis's mom appeared to her in a dream and said, you need to help someone needs to do something or else Elvis is gonna die in his bathroom of an OD seven days from right now. - No. - Wait, that's so sad she was trying to find somebody. - And honestly, like intervening. - I wonder, like, was she just trying to find anyone with those abilities and went to whoever could hear her because Chip Coffee's mom later told him, like, I just had the stream, and Chip Coffee was like, why would Elvis's mother come to you? (laughing) What is going on? - But then seven days later on the radio, they heard that Elvis died in his bathroom of an OD. Apparently he and his mother were very, very close. - Well, that's so sad. - After, okay, so he graduated from dormant high school, Chip Coffee did. He graduated from dormant high. He was really into theater there. He did acting, producing, writing. And after high school, he ends up going to El Maire College where he got a degree in counseling and psychology. While he's not actively being a psychic, I mean, he has the abilities, but he's like not Chip Coffee yet. He's really into theater because he wasn't high school. He's worked for many theater companies, including kids, music theaters. He worked as a social worker. And now he's a travel agent. This is very important. - Oh, what? - So he becomes a travel agent. And up until this point, he's only been able to access some of his abilities. He's really not told anybody about it. But then while he's working at this travel agency, he gets tight with a coworker. And this is when the floodgates fucking crack open for him. - Oh boy, oh boy. - He is, he has a coworker named Pat. We love Pat. - We love Pat. - We love Pat. Pat is his coworker, the travel agency. And she's really into like the mystical mediumship stuff. By the way, this whole story coming up that I'm about to tell is from his book. But he talks about another interview too, but it was really well. - What's his book called again? - Growing up psychic. - Okay. So out of nowhere, he's like hanging out with Pat and he knows that she's into this stuff. And then out of nowhere, he hears a voice in his head of a man saying, "Tell Pat high for me." And it keeps happening and he's like, this is, he's like, I don't know what the guys are going to be doing up here. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - He's like, I don't know what's going on, but there's like some voice telling me tell Pat high for me and he's saying this to Pat. And because she's open-minded to it, she's like, what else is it saying? And then he gets that it's a guy whose name starts with a T and he's like, Tommy or Tony or something. And then Pat goes, I had a brother named Tony who died in a car crash. Gasp. And so Chip runs with it. Pat is so about this, he's like, tell me everything. Chip runs with it and says that he feels like Tony didn't actually die in the car crash. And then Chip starts feeling this pressure in his head and a pop. And Pat said, yeah, Tony wasn't a car crash, but he had a brain acne resume while driving and that's what caused the car crash. - No, see that's, and that's what he like to this day can do. - It was truly, it's amazing. - It just started out of nowhere. Like he was like-- - It's amazing. - He then got the number six, which I think was how many hours or days or weeks he survived in the hospital. He was able to get that Tony, the last time he saw Pat, they went out for ice cream together. And then he was able to say, oh, as, you know, Tony saw you Pat at the ICU the night before he died. And Pat said, that's not true. Tony was in a coma. He'd never woke up. He would have known that. - Stop. - And then she said, I guess he said something to the effect of like Chip heard Tony say, like, no, I was there, you little shit or something and that's like how he used to refer to his like sister. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - And so then Pat was like, well, ask him what I was wearing since he had those eyes open. - He was about to sit, yeah, yeah. - And Chip immediately saw in his, in his head, like, the tablecloths in a time restaurant, like the gingham red and white checker white. - Oh yeah. - And that was the type of dress she was wearing. - Oh my God. - So this was the beginning of Chip Coffee's medium ship abilities. Another time that happened very early on was at his dad's funeral. He actually saw his dad who had both of his legs, even though he was an amputee. And he was able to say, like, take care of your mom for me and then vanish. But up in, like, that was the first two times anything like that had ever happened. Wow. And after this happened, Chip was like, oh shit, well, I guess like I have some new powers kicking in, like I'm gonna do some, as a side hustle, do some readings for people while I'm at the travel agency. But then 9/11 happens. - Oh, that'll put a damper on it. - Yeah. - So all of a sudden, no one went to travel. So his job as a travel agent was Nomaz. Nomaz. Like no more. But he remembers actually talking to himself at, I don't know when on this day, but on 9/11, I guess he knew his fucking career was over. And he went, well, I guess I'm a full-time psychic now. Like he was like, wow, this, yeah, wow, that, yeah, I guess that's where you gotta go now. - So I'm just gonna fall back on that. - So to gain traction, he started going to conferences and conventions and he met other investigators. That's how he met an investigator named Patty Star, who took him on overnight and all this kind of stuff. Many creepy things happened on his first overnight with her, where the other crew members' phones started ringing and it said Chip Koffee was calling them, but he was nowhere near his phone and did not have their phone number. And he was not using his color ID. - And he was like, I would know better than anybody. - His megaphone. - Yeah, he was like, I would know if I were calling. - He looks at a phone and goes, me, you know. (laughing) Also that one of the, that same location, I think. - No wonder he calls himself so many things. (laughing) - Oh my god, it all makes sense. - So he basically, also on that investigation, by the way, he saw a little girl and then days or weeks later, after they all left that house, the owner of the house was in there now and his phone started ringing a lot. And every time he answered it, it was a little girl on the phone saying, "Oh, I wanna play with Chloe. "I wanna play with Chloe." Where's Chloe? I don't know downstairs. - I don't like this. - And he realized after like two or three phone calls that this little girl was talking about his dog Chloe. And he talked back into the phone when she called a different time. I was like, I wanna play with Chloe. He said, are you talking about my dog? And then the line goes to him. - That is so spooky. - But so like that. - Whatever was there knew how to use a phone multiple times. - Freaky. So, okay, through working with Patti, who was the one that took him on all these investigations and all that, we love that. We love that. She basically said, oh, I have this like kind of gig like A and E has a show coming out called airline. - Oh. - Or with airline, there's a show called airline and they want us to come on for a spot. It was like in its third season or something. And this is the Southwest show. So, man, man, I need this man's birth chart. I gotta look it up. - This is amazing. - He really just stumbles into some cool shit. So, it's amazing. - Allegedly this was his first ever TV thing as a psychic. But again, I looked every report. I could not find this episode. But from this episode on airline, he found out that A and E is doing another project soon calling paranormal state. - Oh yes. Oh yes, oh yes. - Where he did over 30 episodes for them. He does vouch that he was like, I always went in there, totally blind. I have no idea what was going on. If you're wondering if that was all fake and phony, like I'm telling you, I was as authentic as can be. For those who don't know, paranormal state is a play on Penn State because the show followed students from Penn State investigating people's houses. But I have to tell you, like I just did not care for this fucking show. Yeah, yeah. I'll get into that. I don't know that I ever watched it. Like I'm like, I know it is, but I don't think I ever watched it. - Basically Penn State students go into people's haunted houses and I don't think that I want to watch that, though. - In 20 minutes, they not only investigate the house, but also decide that there's a demon every time and then are able to call Lorraine Warren on fucking speed dial and then they bless the house. I'm like, how? Like this is obviously hate and e-money. Like there's no way you just know Lorraine Warren and she's just stopping over all the time in Pennsylvania on the same day that you're there. So anyway, I watched. - You mean like it feels too produced or what? - It was very produced. I'll get into it in a second, I'll hang on. - Okay, okay. - But I watched two episodes of it that were specifically about him. One was his first appearance on the show. - You mean Chip Coffee? - Chip Coffee, sorry, yeah. - Okay, okay. - I watched two episodes of Paranormal State. The first one I watched was actually just episode two. That's the first time Chip Coffee appears. The other one I watched was the following episode, episode three because Chip Coffee in an interview said that that was the scariest thing that ever happened to him. So I wanted to watch both of them. Now, the thing that he said was the scariest thing that ever happened to him, quote, he heard a very masculine, guttural, demonic sounding voice come out of the body of a three-year-old little girl. That was not in this episode. So I think someone put the wrong source with that quote. So I ended up watching that for nothing. [BLANK_AUDIO]
But then the one where he had his first appearance, I did watch that and I was gonna talk more about paranormal state But it was honestly like I'm sorry like I'm I don't doubt chip coffees abilities But watching that show maybe now cuz it's 2026 and we've both done stuff with TV before and we both done stuff with ghost hunting And cameras right we yeah, it's just like such a goddamn joke. I'm sorry like whoopsies. It's a joke Chips seems to be fine. I trust that he was trying to be as authentic as possible But the host felt very shady to me And then I found out after watching those episodes that he was later arrested for fraud and theft and scamming people out of money whoopsies Oh, that's right. That's that guy. Yeah Yes, but that's right. I remember I got into a rabbit hole one night That's why I know about that cuz I went to a rabbit hole my snark channels You see sometimes they get a little weird, and I remember being in that rabbit hole. He also maybe lied about having cancer and then Like he I remember that too. He had he was hosting like some sort of paranormal convention And taking that money from fans instead of actually creating the convention He allegedly paid for treatments But we don't even know if the cancer thing is true And I say that because it sounds like even his mom Didn't know about his medical situation and anyway the show seemed very fake Also Lorraine Warren making an appearance so much was odd to me And what was also odd to me is how many times they were just Lucy Goosey letting like people host exorcisms in there I was like I thought the Roman Catholic Church is so odd about this and like so Hush hush about this, but now we're just filming it for fun multiple times and in one episode He oh and the one that I ended up watching that I didn't need to episode three There was literally like it was clearly like a family like struggling And like there was clearly maybe some like depression going on or something Oh, I've seen this episode. I was just calling that dirty was really like disturbed by some He kept calling them dirty and then said the only thing that like Your haunted and it's your fault because you're you're bringing in this energy So it's your fault that this is happening and the only way to fix it is to clean your house To like show that you're trying to create order in your house or something But like it was just very odd. He was like one of the big challenges of tonight is gonna be having to step around all their stuff And I was like ew, what is your deal? Yeah, no, he like there was a one episode about like mental health And I was like yo this is a child like really struggling or something and like he was just like getting so pushy And I was like this has bad vibes. Yeah, he also claimed at like 23 that the Roman Catholic Church personally calls him with Paranormal cases. I was like what are you fucking talking about? I just didn't understand. Well Lorraine Warren shows up So I don't know shit. I don't know. So I don't know if it was him or the producers But they were also making like the storylines seem like like one of the big things we need to know about this host in every episode is that he's attached There's a demon attached to him and the two of them are in cahoots or some shit like that. I don't know. It was very odd So anyway chip coffee was there the guttural thing did not happen the voice that did not happen But he does over 30 episodes of the show. He's actually even gone on a lot of interviews saying that his relationship with that guy is kind of all rocky I would imagine it would probably have to be at some point. But while doing this A&E's crew notice how kind he was to the victims Trip coffee and they asked if you wanted to do another project which led to a documentary called Psychic Kids where chip would mentor Children with abilities. Oh, it's so good and after the documentary came out they got Thousands of families asking for help like literally they got like 6,000 applications for kids with weird experiences And so it ended up becoming a whole show and then after Psychic Kids the show Came out chip was asked so many questions non-stop over and over again about what to do with your kid if they have abilities So that's when he decided to write growing up Psychic. I love that and now we're in the epilogue since 1983 he has lives in Atlanta. He has done paranormal reading tours called coffee talks, which I love When not working he actively turns his medium ship abilities off the quote of his is I'm not running a hampton in for the dead at my house This isn't grand central station and I went I'm running the Hamptons in my house. I'm in no What's the one you just said earlier fell the maq or would it? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, wow, so he works with many is that in Wyoming? Like yeah, six cents sure. Yeah, right, but like yes senses of like being like you may have all sorts of like intuition and like being watched and like all that kind of yes true. So he yeah, I totally agree He believes we all of abilities it just depends on how accessible it is for you He believes in karma. Okay, and then you also I wouldn't let my kids hold a butter knife So like what the fuck I like I yeah, I would also not let my kid use a Ouija board Let me put that out there because my kid is Leona and she's gonna do something really fucked up Right now. She's just downstairs with the Ouija board and like a random She really could be starting to make me wonder. I'm like wait a minute. Has anyone checked where the Ouija board is But yeah, I also wouldn't give my kid like most items, you know, so it's like I guess it depends on how old they are but even then it's like wait till the frontal lobe is formed, right like Yeah, I mean I didn't like I didn't was using one as a child But you know just saying and I regret nothing to be clear to be super clear. So what I did instead was old faithful I pulled out a haunted road Atlas next stop and I opened to a random page and it was voiced
see Idaho and I thought to myself, oh boy, see, I was gonna say it a few days ago. I did not think that. I didn't think that to myself. Do you think that on your own organically in the exact moment that you saw Boise? It's crazy. Yeah, no, I wish I had. But my story here is the Boise Murder House and so I was like reading this and I was like, what the hell? And so then I started, I mean, I remember the story, but I was like, I wonder if there's any more information. That being said, it is like an up-to-date story because I checked, so I'm gonna tell you this story and also insert some of my, some of our, because you're, you have some of the best little, um, this was like, I literally was like, this is one of the best, like, little comebacks, you know, the blurbs, yeah, yeah. Okay. So let's see. This is a place called either the Murder House of Boise or the Chop Chop House. Oh my God. Which I feel like is very distasteful and like, um, to bed, like, you'll see spoiler alert. What's gonna happen here? Okay. So built in 1910, it has a history, uh, of just a really gruesome murder. So on June 30th, 1987, there, these two men who were living in the home, um, in like this matter of, it was almost like, uh, uh, it's so disturbing. It reminds me of like, it's like a close call, uh, we'll get to it. These two men ended up killing a 21-year-old man named Preston Mur in the basement of this house before then dismembering his body and hiding it throughout town. Whoa. And like, different parts of him throughout different parts of the city, like, scatter Jesus Christ. Okay. So we're not sure, like, how the, this is one of the frustration points for me, at least researching it, it's like, we don't know what the altercation was about or what happened that around midnight, um, 31-year-old Darren Cox, 37-year-old Daniel Rogers, ganged up on the sky. It was 1987 and they shot him in the shoulder out of a movie. He like makes a run for it escapes the house, starts banging on the neighbor's door. And then the, as the neighbor is like, going to check what's going on. He just hears the banging turn into shouts of, let me go, let me go as the person is being dragged away from the front door back to where they came from. Oh my God. And I had a blurb to say about this at some point. No, well, to be fair, it's not on this page. Oh my God. It's not on this page. I need a drink of water. I'm sorry. My throat's so dry. I wasn't. You're all drunk with you. Mm-hmm. By the way, this is the third beverage I've seen. That is the third vessel. That's so it. Maybe HD of you to just have cups and cups. It is with the same sticker, by the way. What is wrong? It's so scrappy when you've just got the bounty of clubs. That's how I'm so scrappy. I've just got them everywhere, you know? I guess so, actually. You're right. I'm, I'm trying to fall in love with this the way my mother's in love with this. And it's just a happening. I think you got to cool it. Like, not cool. Not cool. Like you. I mean, cool. You're too fucked up. Hey. Away from Mount Olympus about the I.C. She bought it at Costco. Okay. I really believe that's something that she got it from like Greek dot shop or whatever. Okay. So this is horrifying. Like, this is out of a horror movie. So this guy runs next door, starts banging on it after he's already been shot. The neighbor is approaching the front door, his own front door, hearing like in the middle of the night, the sky banging, like saying, help, help. And then the screams for help turn into. Let me go. And it's like getting farther and farther away. And he does not open the door, like good, that's the right thing to do. However, he, and he does call the police. So he does everything right. Okay. But the police are like, eh, we're not worried about it. Of course. It's like a man was just dragged screaming from my home. But to be fair, like, what's he going to do? So he calls the police. He goes to bed. Now, he probably had a weird night of sleep. I don't know. I would, but I would. But what the next morning was, it was rough. He opened the front door to find blood everywhere. So he hadn't realized, right, because in the middle of the night, he just heard the bang. He didn't open the door. He just called the police. He didn't know where he was stabbing or something. He didn't know the guy was bleeding. And so he had been shot. But yeah, so he sees the front door is covered in blood. And he's like, uh, oh, I hope the police responded last night. They didn't, um, by the way, oh, this is the blurb. Let me say it because it is on the next part. I wrote here the following morning, the neighbor woke from what I imagine was a sleepless night to find his front door covered in blood, to which M says, which 100% caused another sleepless night. Which I wrote and hope, yeah, hopefully the end of his lease. So that's our fun little banter. We take it where we can, you know? Yeah, exactly. So anyway, he, he calls the police again and is like, remember how I called you last night? Like, did you come out here? Cause it's not looking good. And they're like, uh, we didn't, but we're going to come out now. So they arrived to a gruesome site. Not only is this guy's porch and like front stoop cover and door covered in blood, there is a trail of it, right? Like, no, it's horrifying. And nope, it isn't just the two of them that they're only those two apartments or whatever. Like is nobody else seeing this trail of blood and calling the police again? No, it was just there were several houses, but it was just like from the porch, I guess nobody would have seen it. It went back to the basement door of this other house. Oh, it's so sinister, man. It's so sinister went all the way back to the house at 805, Westland and, um, Rodgers and Cox had dragged Merr, like screaming back into the basement before firing a final fatal gunshot to the back of his head. And of course, as if this isn't already like just horror movie gruesome enough, um, they, like I said, dismembered him, um, they used an axe and they cut him into 26 pieces and then they wrapped them in plastic, loaded them into the car, drove to the Idaho organ border and scattered them throughout like the, the reservoir there and, uh, it's just so sick, man. And, um, approximately one week later is when these pieces started to be recovered. So Cox was sentenced to six years and Rodgers was sentenced to life without parole at the Idaho State Correctional Center. Um, the house has had a lot of residents, including many college students. Ah, so they're, um, it's Boise State University and, um, it's very close. It's not technically campus housing, but it's often used as off campus housing, um, and like I wrote in here, like imagine being in the basement, like for beer pong or something. And it's like, but you know what I mean? Like it's just like, I don't think that house could have any gun. I don't know. I'd be really weirded out by that. You know, like way too far in the future when it's like not even something people care about. It's going to be like just some crazy old lore that they tell. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And it's going to like turn into some like really dramatic, I mean, it is already dramatic but, you know what I mean? Did you see, there's a, there's a TikTok of some guy who lives in the house that Ted Bundy used to live in and he like poses himself in like the infamous pictures of Ted Bundy in the house, like recreate the picture to be like, look how fucking eerie this is. And it's so weird because like the house has not changed one person since Ted Bundy lived there. It looks like he just walked into a place that's still currently with Ted Bundy. It's so weird to just see like, like there's a picture that everyone does of like Ted Bundy, like buy a fireplace, like holding his girlfriend and he like, read it. It's like so creepy. I don't know why I brought that up, I'm sorry, but it's just, this just made me think of that where it's like. No, but you're right, it's like this, like it's like this, it's like, well we talk about like, what is your thing? Would you wear the shirt of a murder or whatever or something? Yeah. It's like, yeah. And you know what? Some people are probably like, yeah, I don't care. And like for them, it literally doesn't matter, but for me where I'm like, I care, it's like, well, now it matters. All of a sudden, I'm like, it's got energy, it's got something on it or yeah. So I'm sure they weren't like using this also as a selling point when like, renting this place out. I don't necessarily think everybody knew this. But like you said, I'm sure there was some like, lore or whatever. Mm-hmm. Okay. So while most residents haven't reported like outright hauntings beyond like the place is so creepy. There were a few incidents. So one former resident claimed that being in the basement for more than a few minutes was so unbearable because of the dark, oppressive energy that you like, couldn't handle even staying down there. We know what that feels like in certain places. Another recall is canvassing the house one night after hearing what sounded like a crashing like break into the house. And he left the house to like, can't like case the building to see if like anything had been broken into. And when he looked back at his own fricking house, he saw a big black oily looking thing in the bedroom window, quote unquote. And the shadowy figure moved from the window toward his bedroom door and vanished. Then reappeared on the porch and was reflected in a mirror that like he had on the porch. Just explaining every little detail that happened here. And then passed through his body. What the fuck? Oh my God. This is where you're you wrote you wrote what is it called? What do we call it? A bath.
the blurb. You wrote if a ball of sentient oil passing through your body doesn't I've been thinking about this all day. I'm sorry I know I'm so distracted by even think about this quote this blurb all day all day. If a ball of sentient oil passing through your body doesn't unsettle you take that big ass red flag and get away from it. I've been thinking you get that big ass red flag away from or get take that big ass red flag and get away from me like because then you start saying like walk through the open the door and walk through it and all that and like it sounds like he's just kind of waltz and buy this thing and it's not effective at all. It's sort of like he's like yep that it did this. I stand by what I fucking said I'm like if you're just okay with that then like I can't be near you then it's like you should be it's actually the same thing though it's like then you should be living in that house because clearly it doesn't fucking face you not for me not for me but the fact that like you're like I heard a break in then you leave the house look around and see someone in your own bedroom window forget it. And then a ball of oil or something is inside of your body. Yeah. Yeah, I'm so after thought of the story like we can't hang like it's just not gonna oh my god. Oh my god okay apparently at least as a publication and as least as far as I could check on Google Maps the house still stands there are some lucky lose that like to go there and take pictures and see if they can like get anything in the windows you know don't trust past please. I'm so what was the name of that creature that chip coffee just so lovingly refer to the Wang doodle the Wang doodle Derger Derger how do you say that? The Wang doodle yeah I just feel like don't trust pass I just feel like I just thought of the hoof prints I don't know why that came to mind. She had a lot of words man. Yeah what's happening. I don't know if you do go look at it you know take pictures but just stay out or the Wang doodle will get you. The Wang doodle she's going to eat you up yeah. So that's my that's my story of the day I'm sorry it's a little bit scatterbrained but no no no I am things just keep happening you know what I mean they did the life is life in as the kids say life starts coming in I don't stop coming. Wow now that sounds like some sort of profit prophetic message actually I'll tell smash mouth. Okay actually don't because I think they're like not great. No. No that's sugar. Wait that's sugar ray with that I believe I believe that. I hope that's true but I'm not surprised. Smash mouth problematic. My favorite thing to type in all the time is is this problematic is this problematic. Um he got mad when someone threw bread on stage so maybe he's not canceled. I love this one with run me bread on stage. Oh my god. People have thrown way scarier shit at us on stage. Yeah and we're podcasters. Okay anyway uh that's all okay great. Um I will say the only update since then that involves Boise is um I've been there and eaten potatoes and they're pretty good but um I I totally forgot about this story and I did not remember the sentient. It's okay because yeah I think you wouldn't have gone anyway and also I think you wouldn't have really enjoyed it because I think it was just such as a side road and like you just have to like just it's not anything that exciting. It sounds like it sounds a second to chat about it. This this is a little ball of whatever. Do you think it was also sticky because that would fucking ruin my day on top of everything else? Well he said greasy. Oh god all over your course because then greasy you know what greasy does it gets sticky because stuff sticks to the grease and then suddenly it gets sticky grease. And you're wearing any clothes you wear are fucked. Although I will tell you I just last night I got grease on a sweatshirt that I just bought and so I went to the kitchen of this restaurant. I just stood there, sweated for somebody to come out. With those swinging doors. And I went might you spare some uh don dish soap from your dishwasher because the dishwasher soap gets the grease on and they were like did you get grease? Yeah yeah let me help you. Like they were so quick. And just like I think they were just wanted to desperately like squirt someone with a bottle of soap like in a cartoon because they just went right on me and then I scrubbed that and it was good. It was lovely. So I would need a whole lot of don dish soap if I ever ran into this fucking ball. Yeah you'd be like one of those ducklings. Do you think it was shiny? Or I mean yeah because I think he said it was shiny didn't he? He gave a variant. Did you have a problem with his description? I am forgetting most of it. Once I heard that it went inside of it. I said so many words at once and they were all like really dramatic words to be fair. It went inside and I lost the pain. I missed that right. Greasy oily it went past through him. You know your first fucking plan of action. I was to go to a doctor and like what if that stuff is in you? Like what if it like what if it's like poison? And it's like it's like fucking spinning out about this like medical malady that doesn't exist and that probably would sleep paralysis. I'm like can you just do an x-ray and if there's a lot of grease out of nowhere can you just it looks like there's been an action. And they're gonna just like put like put squirt dawn down your throat. Like what do you want? It's a good point. I guess I'm just stuck in this. You're gonna be a duckling again. That'd be terrible. Oh my god. Oh my gosh. Well what are you doing tonight? You hanging out with that little leon of yours. Yes I am. I'm hanging out with all of them. All of them all of those stinky furry creatures and yeah. Live in the dream just another Thursday. Well I guess. Have fun on your travels. Thank you. I'm trying to knock some of these things off my list. So we'll see how far I end up because I do have to get home eventually but I'm just doing another road trip and as far as I can get is as far as I'll get so. Wow that's beautifully put and like it wherever you are you're already there. Wow. Hey you should write that down. You should put that on a shirt. You don't stop coming and they don't stop coming. You know what I know I know and you know we know and the sentient ball knows. It knows all. Yeah. Okay I guess I'll catch you on the flip flop cool cat. See you next week or whenever I see whenever I'm done traveling. See you next. Yeah. See you when you get when you mosey your way mosey your way home. Okay and that's why we drink.
