The host opens with a reflective and candid discussion about his experience as a reality TV star, particularly during the "Bachelor" format. He acknowledges that the public attention, criticism, and emotional intensity of such a role are inherent to the job, and he takes responsibility for his own self-sabotaging behaviors—such as being overly affectionate or making impulsive decisions—during filming. He attributes these tendencies to his upbringing in a conflict-ridden household, where emotional volatility was normalized. This insight led him to recognize that his early behavior was a coping mechanism, not a reflection of genuine emotional maturity. Over time, he evolved from a performance-driven persona to a more authentic self. His current relationship with his partner stands in stark contrast to the high-stakes, chaotic environment of the show, marked by patience, emotional safety, and mutual respect. He credits this relationship with helping him heal from past patterns of anxiety and insecurity. He expresses deep gratitude for this new connection, describing it as one of the most meaningful experiences of his life. The conversation also touches on the importance of self-awareness, grief, and self-sabotage, with references to books like *He Scared She Scared* and *The Grief Recovery Handbook* as tools for personal growth. Ultimately, he concludes that while the show was chaotic and emotionally taxing, his journey toward emotional stability and genuine intimacy represents a significant personal transformation. He remains committed to this relationship, valuing privacy and emotional authenticity over public performance, and believes that true personal growth is possible when one learns to listen to their inner signals rather than react to external pressures.
Here we are. Look at us. Look at us, huh? Wow. We finally did it. We did. We, we moved mountains. Water under the bridge. But was it, was it me calling you an emotional terrorist that did it for you? Like what was the part where you were like, fuck this guy. I think it was a few things to be honest, but also like, it's like his all of it. Yeah, it's probably all of it, but I think at the end of the day, it's just like, it's part of the job, you know? And like, if people aren't talking about your show, then you probably don't have a good shot. You know, I will say, I very much appreciate that about you. And listen, we talk, you know, it's my least favorite part of this job in the show is to, is to thread that needle with the idea that like, we all love to be talked about on this, you know, we all, it's like anyone who goes on really TV. And then, you know, we've created this universe, all of you know, everyone involved in this like really cool space. And then we create these shows and talk about it. And then, yeah, then there's a human side. But you're one of the few people I was like, if he did hate my fucking gods, I, you know, I blame him, blame him. Other people are less, a little bit more sensitive. So I, I appreciate you being here, man. You know, so thanks for coming. No, I appreciate you guys having me and wanting to have me back through everything that we've been through. But yeah, no, it's, to be honest, and I think anyone that has had feelings about you, they just got to understand that like, it's just a part of the job. Everyone's going to have opinions. And it's kind of on you whether you want to take it on or not. It's just like with anything that I could read a comment and just be like, okay, it really like doesn't matter because then you guys are going to have another episode out the next week or whatever else. So it's really, it's not that deep, you know, it's just part of life. Yeah, it's interesting, though, because it's not that deep, I think is kind of like, I don't know, you tell me, but I feel like the big disconnect with, I suppose you and your critics are you and the women on your show? And I guess, you know, right, like finding that middle ground. Yeah, you know, because like on some level, you've made a career out of being a real TV personality and, you know, whatever it's America's fuckboy or just like this got, you know, this eligible bachelor. And it is a fucking job sometimes, right? And then there's this side of, I remember my first time on these shows, right? Like, I'm being on the women's end of things on the bachelor. And, and really feeling vulnerable and feeling like, you know, like the lead had to like take care of my feelings. And when they didn't, I felt more just, you know what I'm saying? And like, yeah, do you think you have a hard time finding that balance? You know, I think that this was the first time, like in the past, you cut, like when you do in perfect match, or to what to handle, you're like, okay, we're just, you know, young people having fun on a show. But this one definitely definitely that like I wish I, I wish there was a let's marry someone else. Then we went through that process first where I was with 20 guys and we could figure it out because it definitely would have made it more impactful because it was really difficult for me to be like, okay, I've got 20 people. I'm trying to spend it. Also a season one of his show is pretty chaotic too. Like the first couple days, like I remember, I probably had like three hours of sleep and I was having like five or six Celsius. Like I was, and there was days where I didn't even eat because I'm like, I just got a, I just got to talk to everyone and make sure that we have the best time and make sure that like I, I get to meet everyone and learn as much about everyone as possible. But it's really difficult. And then at the end, I'm like, seeing how everyone's take on the experience. And I was like, wow, I really can't do the right thing here. Even when I was trying my best, I should have just been a sausage. Right, I was, but yeah. It was there a part of you that was like nervous going into this knowing that this whole show's format is like based on your worst tendencies, like living with all of these beautiful brunette women. Just can sneak into your room. Yeah, to be honest, that was pretty nervous. But that's why they brought my friends in, you know, and obviously Georgia, my ex, they help kind of have that like center pole to be like, all right, we're going to tell you to stop being an idiot. And then I know like even Alex would text some of the producers, like tell them to stop kissing everyone because it'd be hard. Like at least like this is so much fun. We're having the best time and everyone was awesome. And when they pull you for a chat, it's like, okay, well, I'm just going to go with whatever happens. But yeah, it was really, I was really nervous. Like the first couple of days, I was really scared to be honest because I'm like, gosh, this is, this is a lot like to have a show around you and then to know, you know, that you got to be living in the house of them is really scary too. Now, being the lead of, I mean, you did the bachelor. I mean, it's you were the bachelor. It's like, there's some, you know, like it's a whole not a level. And like, there are definitely differences in the show. And quite frankly, yeah, shut out, David Friedman, I love what you're doing. The guy, the guy, but no, it's fucking brutal. Dude, the emotional and physical and mental toll, it to be the lead of the show. It's definitely a lot. You know that obviously, we had the opportunity to interview your three finalists to now Sam and Amber. Yeah. And I started the, I don't, did you listen to the interview by chance? No, you know, my thing is, I don't, I don't want to be, no, I just mean with like all this stuff because I'm like, I just don't want to be, I just don't want to take it on board. And I'm just like, whatever they want to say, they said, well, if I may, just give you some info. The cliff notes. Yeah, please, please. Listen, on one side of the coin, right? Like, I still would, I'm not, you know, if a girl says to me, if we become deep friends, Harry, and someone's like, do you know any great eligible men? And if you happen to be single, I'm not going to, I'm not going to say your name, you know, I hope you don't take offense, right? That's okay. Yeah. And again, listen, I've, you know, my big thing in life, it's just like, you know, either the same when people show who they are, believe them. And like, a lot of people say that, but they don't do it. And I am capable of being friends with people. I may not fuck with every decision they have. I might not agree with everything they do, but like, I appreciate some people just kind of showing me who they are. And then I, I cease to stop expecting from them things. I don't expect, right? And so on some level, I think there's a part of the audience. It's kind of like, I mean, you know, listen, what did you expect from Harry Zhaozi? You know, there's a, you, there's so much data out there. And like, if you want to be the person to change him, and you want to, you know, you're up for that challenge, do so at your own risk, right? On the flip side, and I kind of, I asked the three women, how much did you know about Harry? They, I guess across the board kind of kind of said they, they wanted to know the real you. And they didn't really do any, any looking. Two-part question. One, do you believe them? And two, if they're telling the truth, do you think that was foolish of them? Not to at least do their research? I don't necessarily believe them because a few guys have come out and said that. And then if you watch the first episode, they seem to know a fair bit about me. And also like, you know, when you go to do a show, you're telling your family, your work, your friends, like, surely someone in the 10 or 20 people that you told would have just done a Google search and be like, oh, maybe this isn't the best type of guy right now. So I don't know. I don't necessarily believe them because just because of that, like, there's so much that goes into getting ready for a show, you're buying all the outfits, you're getting your makeup, you're doing everything, you're getting excited about it, you're getting time off work. And in that span of time, you didn't just do one Google search. I don't know. I don't believe it. And if you don't, your friends aren't hitting you up being like, girl? Yeah. Yeah, I'm kind of with you there. I will say though that they also part of their explanation. Like to whatever degree they heard, you know, rumors about you or about your past, they were saying they didn't sign up for the Let's marry a fuck boy show. They signed up for Let's marry the reformed, you know, former fuck boy who has dealt with some bit of a tragedy, Senator, on the passing of your father, which I'm very sorry, by the way. And as almost as if they were sold a, you know, a false story. I guess first, like, what is your response to that? And do you think that's a bit disingenuous in this part? Or do you, do you empathize with what they're saying? Yeah, I get what they're coming from. I understand fully because that's what I thought I was going to be doing as well. But obviously, you know, getting carried away in a few moments, there's, like, there's definitely a big part of me and a big part of my history that we can all see where I'll go on a show. I'll be excited. I'll start kissing everyone and ultimately self sabotages myself. So I definitely believe, I understand where they're coming from for sure. I think, you know, it was so recent to after my dad had passed that I was still actively dealing with grief. Like, I wasn't drinking before the show. And then as soon as the show came about, I was, you know, having fun leaning into the experience. And then once I went back to New Zealand and it really kind of took the wind out of my sales. I was, I realized I was like, oh, I actually haven't dealt with this at all. And I think it was just a really confusing time and probably the worst time to film a show. But when Netflix calls and they have a great idea, who might have say no? But yeah, it was a bit of a definitely, I definitely see where they're coming from. And I definitely like, I apologize for that too because I, I definitely had a lot, a lot of work to do. I'm curious though, like getting into the nuance, right?
Do you think that whether it was from you or the producers, was the messaging, Harry is a finished product and he's absolutely ready to settle down. Or this show is about seeing whether Harry is a finished product and he's actually ready to settle down. Which do you think is more true? And in terms of what was being messaged to the women. - To be honest, I don't know, 'cause even when I came out there, I was like, look, I'm not perfect. Like I literally said, I was like, I'm not the perfect guy. But when you watch the Bachelor, it's like, this is the perfect specimen. Except when it was me, he's a star. - Yeah. - Well, you know, but I think that was the point of difference that even on the first day when I'm meeting all the girls, I was like, I know you've probably seen a lot about me and I'm trying to change, I'm trying to be better. So I think that probably, you know, I wasn't in the room with all the conversations with their producers and the people putting them on show. Like I'm sure there's probably an element where they're like, he's amazing, you've got to meet him, he's great. And then they get there and they're like, oh, well, he's been a bit of a silly sausage. So I think that it was me saying I'm ready, then me actively trying, and then obviously failing. - Amber kind of at the reunion and on our show, talked kind of about how she felt like you used your grief as what was her verbage? - I guess love bomb, you know, like to portray a vulnerability, I guess that she didn't think was all said. I mean, right, essentially that. - And you weren't really able to respond at the reunion, but you had your friend Sonny kind of stick up for you there. What would have been your response? - Yeah, I think it's unfair to tell someone how to grieve and how they should be going about it. It's a part of my life is to be forward facing and especially when I was going through the trenches of grief, it just happened to be when we were filming the show. So it was like hard for me to like, I can't just ignore it. I like, you guys know what it's like when you have lost someone, like it will just hit you randomly. You can't just like hide that feeling and be like, oh, okay, I'm really, like I'm really sorry, but like it was really difficult to know when grief will hit because it's just not like someone explained to me. It's kind of like waves on a beach, when you stand on a beach, sometimes they hit you and they tickle your feet and then other times it goes all the way out, you don't see it. Then the next day it's like a tsunami. So that's what grief is like. It will just knock you around whenever you see it. So like, yeah, I'm so proud of how I've been dealing with my dad's grief. And the grief of losing my dad, you know, it's something that you can't really navigate and no one's perfect at it. I think it's unfair for her to say that to be honest and a little bit sad because you know, it was something that we really kind of bonded over and she really helped me with it when I was in New Zealand and was really there for me. Like when the cameras weren't down and we were just in the hotel room and I was like, look, I'm really struggling. I need to see Amber, like I need to see her because she will make me, make light of this and we'll have fun. I'd be able to deal with it as best as we can. So I think that it's a little bit unfair and I am really grateful for sunny, for standing up for me. There was a lot more that was said that actually was cut out. Obviously it's TV, so it makes sense. So it does suck to see that sunny gets so much kind of hate about that because he just basically was like, no matter what you said fair enough, but like the grief stuff is a little bit unfair for you to tell him how he can't deal with grief because no one knows how to deal with it. Like find me the perfect person that knows how to deal with grief and I'll show you a lie. I agree with you. I felt like obviously quite frankly, it seemed like Amber was pretty upset with Paul things ended up. I'm curious. Well, I guess maybe let's start with were you guys really married? Like what, I think there's a lot of unanswered questions. Was it like you treated it seriously, but you weren't legally married? Like did you have to get lawyers? Did you get a divorce? Like what can you set the record straight for us? Okay, I got you guys. So basically when we went to start filming the show, I, we were like a week in and one of the producers goes, have you got a prenup sorted? I was like, wait, what are you talking about? Like I didn't know like, I was like, when do you do that? Like I don't know. I don't know when the middle of production? Like what? Yeah, because I really got my phone on Sundays that I would be calling my manager like, hey, we need to figure out a prenup for like the 20 girls. I don't know who I'm gonna pick. I gotta know where we're at. So basically because it got so confusing and then they're like, if we submit the paperwork after you guys get married, everyone's gonna know it's Amber. So once we finished filming the wedding stuff, we went up to the house where you see us film a confessional and I was like, see you guys never. And at that moment was when we were doing all the paperwork and stuff. And basically our good friend Derek was just like, look, we can't submit it right now, but we're gonna hold onto it. So if you guys are together when the show's out, we'll submit it and everyone will be happy and you'll have enough time to sort of pren up and all that stuff. So my eyes at that moment, I was like, oh, this is real as it can be for the sake of a TV show, but then obviously it fizzled out. Thank you for clearing that up. I hope I cleared it up. - No, thanks. - It makes sense. Also, I think where Amber was also confused was the trip that y'all took after this whole filming. - Was that a honeymoon? Or was that just a vacation? - Okay, I'm gonna pull up my calendar 'cause this is where it got confusing for me too 'cause she said the first trip that we went on is a honeymoon, right? She also said your friend came along too. And I was like, that sounds less like honeymoon. Well, we had a lot of friends there. Okay, so if we go back to December, 2025, I got it up. So we went to Hawaii was our first trip out and that was basically just us exploring like where she grew up and her friends and traveling around Hawaii. - Okay. - Now, if it's the first trip after a wedding, that's probably the honeymoon. And it sounds like a way better destination than my mom's farm and with my friend Anna. It sounds a little bit-- - But neither of us, neither of you were like, all right, we're on the plane ride. She wasn't like, so what are we gonna do in our honeymoon? - No, that was, see, that's what kind of confused me as well. Is that-- - Like some couples wed a year? - Understand. Yeah, although I thought we probably would have done one after the show if we were still together, but I didn't understand that that's her perception on us going to my mom's farm and hanging out with the pigs that would be our honeymoon, which again, if it was like, I'm sorry, I would have planned something better. Like I would have gone take it a subway nice, but yeah, we went to Hawaii and then a couple of weeks later, we went to Gold Coast and Australia. So there was no comers, there was no labeling of the trip. - No, that was a thing from what you remember, okay. - Yeah, and it was difficult too because you know how it is after you finish a show, like you gotta be so secretive. And as soon as we went to Hawaii, we got spotted and I didn't tell Netflix that we were gonna go and be on a trip together. And then it got a little bit like under tight security with Netflix. - She kind of mentioned that you were really stressed or like you couldn't handle the secrecy of the relationship after the show, in which her response to that was like, what do you mean? Like you know how reality TV works. You knew that we were gonna have to be in hiding. Like why is this such a shock to you? - I think that's a fair statement. I don't think that anyone really knows how to best to do that. Like I know even Netflix was like, well, we'll book a flight out for her and then we'll get you guys at Airbnb and then you guys just have to stay there for a weekend and you can't leave. So it was like, you know, I'm marrying someone, you wanna travel, you wanna meet their family, you wanna like, I wanna know how to meet my mom and come see the farm and all that stuff. So it was like, it was hard to really thread that line to be like, okay, well, let's keep this as private as we can. Then we get spotted and they're on these tee pages and then getting older and potentially going, oh my god, I've probably cooked my relationship with Netflix now because of potentially ruined this show and then also trying to balance a fresh relationship of someone that you've known for a couple of weeks to be like, okay, we wanna spend as much time together and we wanna learn about each other as possible. But on the other shows, like all the other shows that have filmed, it wasn't pre-announced. Like with this one, we announced the casting, we knew like everyone knew that this show was being filmed and like people knew that we were away filming it and then as soon as I got back, I'm like, there was a little bit more pressure on this but I understand where she's coming from for that. - I can vouch for the fact that like, any couple that ends up from these types of format bachelor or let's marry whoever. Yeah, till you're like you said, you're starting a relationship on rocky footing already. You have to unpack everything that happened. You barely know each other. Everything about the relationship is based off of hype and missing each other and kind of fighting off all the other, you know, suitors. And then you can't see each other. And it's just like, you know, listen, like other people, some people can handle it better than others, but it's difficult, I will say, it feels impossible. And those who make it, you know, really have survived a difficult period. So I can acknowledge it's hard, it's hard. Yeah, thank you. - Was that something you and Amber talked about throughout the time was like what you did with the other women or what connections you had or what you said to the other women? Did she have questions about that? - To be honest, she was pretty great throughout the whole process because she, I remember the, one of the first conversations we had and she's like the quickie date everyone, the quicker you will know what you're into. And basically she was very relaxed, like very secure, very secure in herself throughout the whole experience. So we didn't necessarily have too many of those conversations like there was one moment where things got brought up and we discussed it a little bit.
it and kind of moved on from it. But it is such a weird and niche situation to also be like intimate with other people. And then they come see you in Australia too. And I'm like, I'm a little bit freaked out about it all. But yeah, it was, I, it's so long ago to work. We saw each other in January. The last time we saw each other before the reunion. We spoke a million times since. And yeah, I don't necessarily think there was a specific conversation when we sat down and we're like, let's address everything up to the wedding. Yeah. Did you guys have conversations about like expectations like, you know, all the show marriage aside? Did you at any point where you guys like, all right, like, hey, we're, you know, like, what is your expectations of marriage? Like, you know, this is going to be weird. Did you guys talk about anything? Like, you know, leading up to it or was it or not? Okay. Come on. Um, to be honest, I believe we were talking about whether she would move to L.A. and kids and life and all that stuff. And basically she wanted, she's like, we're just going to be hot and travel. And I'm like, okay, well, I got to, I got to work. You know, I got to, I got to, I got to, I got to, I was like, I got to like, it's, that's expensive. Like, that's going to be crazy. Um, but no, I don't think there necessarily was any of those conversations. I think I was too confused the whole time. Like I really didn't know, um, what was, what was really going on. And, and especially after New Zealand, I was starting for a loop thinking back now. If you go back in time, what upfront expectations would you have like wanted to like just like, hey, are we on the same page? If we get married, what is like, let's just talk about what might be difficult, what might be hard? What do you wish you would have talked about? I wish I would have spoken about everything in the show, like everything that I did, the conversations with the other girls, being intimate with other people. And then following that, definitely would have wanted to address like career and life and where you see yourself living, um, and how to navigate like the public as well. I think those would have been probably a good starting point. Um, but as you guys can tell, not very good at this stuff. So you're in a relationship today. Yeah, I'm in an incredible relationship. It's been, uh, it's been awesome. Did you meet her on one of these? So like me and, uh, my current person, we've known each other for a while. Um, and we have a lot of mutual friends. So like, we've known of each other. And we also, we never communicated at all until everything was like fully done. So I hope that clears it up because I can also, I have the, um, my Google calendar of when I left Australia. And when I guess what people can see, uh, when we first hung out. Okay. So you didn't meet her on this trip. You've like known her for a while. We've known of each other for a minute. Yeah. Why does she think you met her on this trip? Honestly, I don't know. It is what it is. You know, I, I'm sure that, um, yeah, I don't know. She was saying a lot of things at the reunion that I was a little bit kind of thrown off about, especially because we've spoken so many times since from January till now. So I was a little bit perplexed by a lot of things. But at the end of the day, it was, that's, that's her experience. So I don't want to take away from that. But, um, yeah, it is what it is. Did you guys ever have a conversation, um, post breakup? Because she said you guys never really like technically broke up. So do you want to clarify that a little bit? Yeah. So we, when we're in Australia, we just, um, definitely we're not seeing eye to eye as you guys could kind of see how it went out the reunion. Um, we weren't really seeing eye to eye at all. And once we were driving from Gold Coast to Brisbane, we had a bit of a serious conversation about where this is going on, what we see. We ended up finishing it in Australia. I went back to LA and, but to her defense, we were still talking. So I guess it was a little bit confusing. And I fully understand that. And I fully will take accountability for that because it is a very confusing situation. And you don't really, you shouldn't break out with someone and then continue to talk to them. Um, and I think that is unfair, especially the situation with Denel. So unfair, take full accountability for that. Me and Denel have spoken so many, like, the thing is, which was, I was a little bit confused about is I was spoken to all of them, like, even Sam, like I spoke to Sam. I apologize for the whole situation. Can read the messages, even with Denel, we've spoken so many times from January till now, which I thought was like, we were all good. So like, when I did Alex Cooper's, like, called daddy. And I was like, yeah, the reunion is going to be so chill. Like, we're going to be all good. Because that was my understanding is because like, I, I was like, go through my messages and phone calls with them. And it was all like laughter. And we're so excited and everything's great. And then once I'm at the reunion, I was like, what's, what's happening? I was very confused. I mean, should we kind of break down the Denel of it all? Yeah, what do you guys want? What were your intentions? Reaching back out to her. Like, were you, was it like, were you thinking about exploring a relationship where you were like, you know, we had a great physical connection. And I'm wondering if she's down one more time, you know, what were you hoping to get out of that weekend? Yeah, I think with Denel after, I was when I was in Australia and I asked Amber if I could reach out to her just to check in. We, um, after that moment and once I go back to LA, I was, I was pretty torn, especially throughout the show. Like, you can see that I wasn't 10 toes down on my decision with Amber. Like, I was very kind of all up in the air about what was going on and very confused. And I think that confusion overlapped into real life. And so once I was with Amber and we weren't really seeing eye to eye, my brain goes, well, maybe it was the wrong decision. You know, maybe it was, I did the wrong thing, which is, you know, I have a good track record of not doing the right thing the most of the time. So when I was, when I reached back out to Denel, I'm like, maybe this is what I should have done. Maybe this is the right person for me. And so when we saw each other again in real life is very different to a fabricated environment. And once I was with Denel, again, I was even more confused. And I'm like, this is not fair. Like, if you have your person, you should know that that is 110% your person. So after that weekend, I was just like, it's probably best to save more heartbreak and headaches for these people and just take, eliminate myself out of the situation and just sit still and try and figure out the grief, try and figure out the confusion and try and be a better person for myself. So I can show up better for other people. And did Denel have questions about you and Amber's relationship at that point? Yeah, of course. Like, I think it was a very confusing for everyone. And especially poor, poor old Denel, like, I couldn't imagine how confusing that whole thing must have been for her and then be like, oh, maybe that we're, we're good again. Oh, this is my person. And then me quickly going, I don't know what's happening. So yeah, I definitely, I like, it's, I'm so sorry for Denel. Like, I can't imagine. I'm sorry for all the girls. Like, it is such a tricky situation to be in. And you probably want your guy to be there and know exactly what's going on instead of being like, oh, I'm very, very confused. Do you think Amber had a right to be as angry at Denel as she was? Or do you feel like Denel had a right to kind of see her experience through? I don't think it was fair for Amber to kind of try and chew Denel's head off in that reunion. Ultimately, it was my decision. And it was my choice. And yeah, like, the anger should have been, well, the anger should have been directed at me, but it was. But that that moment was very unfair and Denel because she's, she's just following her heart and following like what she thinks is the the right situation. You know, thinks this guy is coming back and it's, it's perfect. And we're going to live happily ever after. But it wasn't the case. So I definitely think it was unfair. Like, I don't think Denel deserves any, any heat or hate her way. Like she was showing up as best she could and, and following her heart. And it was my mistake. And, and my choice to ultimately lead to all this drama. Why were you posting snap chats of Amber? It felt like really close up to the reunion. Yeah. So basically the last few months I've had agents again, this is I fully take accountability. I should have been like, Hey, don't post that stuff. But I've had an agency that's been running my Snapchat because of all the press, everything we've been doing. I haven't had a moment to be like live posting on Snapchat. Basically, all I did is I had a folder from January, December, January. And I just grabbed it. I swiped down and I submitted everything. I was like, just post whatever you guys want. My thoughts were everyone's posting stuff with me, everyone's posting stuff of the show and all the disposables. Surely I could just join in on the fun. But obviously I should have got clearance. But to be fair, when Amber reached out about me posting all the photos from the show and the wedding and everything like that on Facebook, she said, please don't post my face. I didn't like my my makeup and how I was cold in that moment. So I immediately took it down. I immediately texted the team and I was like, Hey, if there's anything on Snapchat about the wedding or Facebook, she doesn't want to be on there at all. So once I knew what was going on, that was fine. And that's also what got me in a little bit of heat too when I posted just photos of me at the wedding because she said, don't post my face or don't post me. So I was like, okay, cool. I'll just post myself because I that was a great moment. And I feel like I looked good. So then everyone's like, oh, this guy's an ego maniac because he's
just posting himself, I was like, I don't know. I can't do the right thing. Like I want to post everything, but you're such a victim, Harry. - Yeah, I'm the biggest victim. - Yeah. - Listen, I honestly get everything you're saying. It's funny, it's like the big disconnect is like, I remember being in Amber's shoes, right? Like in my, you know, my second son of the Vacherette, I said, you took that from me, and I'm very sad boy way. And that was like, I hated that I almost proposed to this chick and I thought of some fucking speech and I poured my heart out. And like, it's a, I can have fun with it now. But like, you know, 12 fucking years later, it's still like a fucking joke at my expense, you know? And it's just like, ugh, you know? And I, from Amber, Amber seems really fucking pissed that she has to like call you her ex-husband. The only part I don't get is like, if I'm Amber, I would've been like, yeah, I don't consider my husband. Like, I don't consider my relationships on the Vacherette, outside of my last one, because we really tried and it was like, we lived together and that was a real relationship. But everything happened filming, like, I don't think that's fucking real. - Yeah. - And listen, that's just me kind of mentally, kind of workshopping that stuff. But she like, that's the part I get from Amber where she just seems like, yeah, you like, I'm not the professional reality TV star. I didn't know what I was doing. I followed my heart. I got fucking married. I had this beautiful, I wore a wedding dress. I walked down the aisle and all this shit. And now when I meet the real man of my dreams, it won't feel like the first fucking time. - Well, she's also already been divorced. - Oh, she has? They're like, okay, well, then fuck it. (laughing) - But work, I mean, she did say that y'all were like, you were buying a house or you were house hunting and she was helping you and you were telling her how much you wanted her to furnish it and decorate and stuff. - Look, yeah, I think after this show, like I was living in Hollywood and I'm like, I should probably get a house. You know, I've got a wife now. I should probably get things sorted. So, sorry. - Sorry. - So I should probably, no, you get this fine. But I was like, I should probably figure this out. This is a big part of it. So I was looking for a house. Did she come along to any of those house shopping moments? - No, would she there for any of it? No, like, has she got the address? - Yeah, I believe so. She said it at the reunion. And also, like, I furnished it. I wish someone helped me. Like, I wish, I wish she helped. That would have been good. But I just went to Restoration Hardware and spent way too much money. And I was really upset about that. - I did that the first house I've gone to. - That's the bachelor's protocol. - Every bachelor was asked the first time to be like, all right, I'm going to Restoration Hardware and spending $40,000. - It's ridiculous. - It's so stupid. (laughing) - Yeah, so I understand, like, those elements. But I think there's just, like, mixed up and communication, to be honest, like, even when she said that at the reunion, like, you bought me a house and I was like, oh, did I? Like, okay, fair enough. It's like, the thing is too, like, outlast conversations that we had were, like, so light and fun. And, like, she was talking about, like, talking about the wedding and, like, one thing that, like, really kind of upset me was, like, her feeling that she'd been silenced for the last year or so. And that was confusing to me, 'cause, like, one of my last messages to her, like, I can play the voice, then, if you're living in silence, yeah, she said that at the reunion. She's been living in silence. - I literally said to her, like, feel free. Like, tell your story, whether it's at my expense, whatever you're up, whatever you want. Like, just feel free to share your side of it. I even said the same to Danielle. I'm like, it doesn't matter about me, like, feel free to talk about everything. So, that was one thing that I was a little bit, like, confused about. And I'm like, maybe that hate is more towards the NDA that they signed for the show or whatever else. But, like, from my side, I was encouraging. I was even calling David and the team. And I'm like, they got a post. Like, let him talk about the show in the experience or get him on, like, when I saw you, I was like, you gotta get the girls on the podcast before I come on. 'Cause I was like, they gotta tell their side of the story. But, obviously, I'm a sausage, sir. - You were very supportive of them coming on and talking their shit. - Yeah, which, take it back. (laughing) - Or at least, you understood that was at least fair to them. Do you, I mean, I'm confused. So, when you say you were talking to Amber and it was light and chill, are you, do you think her at the reunion or on our show was a little performative? Do you think she's leaning in to that, or do you think she puts it on a happy face for you? - So, the interesting thing was, is that we spoke on the phone leading up to the reunion. And it was like, all light and fun. And I was like, anything you wanna address, or should we just say it for the reunion? She's like, yeah, well, I'll just save it for then. So, like, I was a little bit confused. 'Cause when we were standing beside the camera, I asked, I was like, you're good. And she was, you know, ready to, ready to roll. And then even leading up to it, she texted Georgia and said nice things and was excited about it. So, I definitely was taking back because, you know, I was more than willing to sit there and be like, yeah, absolutely, like, I've made so many mistakes. I'm not the perfect guy. And I definitely fucked this whole thing up. And definitely wanna take accountability for all of that. But when I was there and she started at me, I was kinda a little bit taken back. 'Cause like, when, you know, there was a few things, she said that a couple of buzzwords. And I was like, I fully will take accountability for anything I've done wrong. And I even asked, I was like, for specifics. It's just unfair to have untrue stuff thrown my way because I was, I'm like, if this was the case, any moment since January, when we spoke and or everything was all good or we're clearing things up, why didn't we talk about it? But to be honest, it's fine that that was the moment where she felt it's best to say that stuff. 'Cause I'm glad I'd much rather her say it than hold it in. But I was, I think I was just a little bit taken back. But Grant, the previous bachelor, he sent me a message. He's like, oh, this was the same kind of situation that I went through with her cousin on, on my reunion. So I was like, I don't know if they had similar energy. Yeah, for sure. They brought similar energy. Yeah, so I don't know if it was like pre-planned or pre-meditated, but it's whatever. What underwitch? Saying that like you wanted the women or Denel and Amber to be able to speak and talk their shit and, you know, say whatever they wanted to say. But did you feel that way about the other women as well or did you just feel that way with them because they got to spend as much time with you? Well, this has got me in a little bit of trouble because I said, you know, the first 15, doesn't really matter. Like think, okay, you don't need to convince me. I'm actually 100% with you on this one. Your delivery was a bit harsh. Yeah, it was a bit harsh, but I was, to be honest, yeah, I could have done a lot of things better, but I think my understanding was like, think of someone that you met one time in October last year. Like if you guys, can you think of someone? No, literally, like one night at a bar, you have a 10 minute conversation with someone. Yeah, so I was like to see them post so much and be so aggressive towards me. I was like, we don't know each other. Like at all, there was even one girl that was, when we, the first couple days we were filming, she was upstairs on a laptop just freaking out about doing work and not being in the experience. And that's fully fine if you want to be at work, but it just takes away from me really caring about that opinion because I'm like, well, the one time we spoke, that was it and we couldn't get a chance to kind of dive in, but 100% my delivery on that should have been a lot better. But I felt like the final five 'cause we spent the most time together. But I was also trying to like just everyone leave me alone, just leave it for the final five to rip me apart. But everyone joined in, which is great. I'm curious 'cause like again, this is all, how much of you being a TV personality and I guess America's fuck, is it like you treat it like a job? Like part of our survival of doing the show and being a couple and like, is it disconnect sometimes, right? Like, listen, if we find out that we did something that bothered someone, we'll reach out and apologize or whatever it is, right? But in terms of like, we don't address, addressing critics and like, you know, we invite discourse on our show, I'm glad people cared about our enough butter show to listen and I'm glad they disagree. But to do that, you have to disconnect. But so much of like your job, I guess, is to just, you know, be out there and, and like I said, like, this is such a weird space. Like, I think from a career standpoint, like, I think there's a lot of people in our space that don't appreciate that they're only known for being vulnerable. They, you know, we, many of us can't sing and dance and even if we're pretty good, we're not as good as like the Ariana Grande's of the world, right? So like, we have to go out there and we have to be out there and you have to make content and blah, blah, blah. And like, sometimes you can lose yourself and performing because it is the fucking job. And I'm just curious, like, which, you know, are we seeing more of Harry, the reality TV star and like, versus Harry, the person? I think when I went into this show, there's obviously a big element of me that's like, okay, we've got to make a great show. Like, there's Netflix is putting $50 million behind this. Like, we've got to make the best show possible. So I think early on when you see me being a little bit crazy and a little bit naughty, that was a big element of that. It's like, let's play into this. Let's get the, you know, the shock factor, the spinning in the mouth, which definitely shouldn't have done. But then towards the end, when it got very real, like when we were, you know, slowing down and the days are a little bit late.
longer with everyone. I was like, oh, I don't have to do this performance anymore. I don't have to dance as much because I think my problem is like, the first show I did I was 19 or 1920. So like 10 years of doing this. I know it's pretty embarrassing that that's my career. I wish I could sing a dance. I'm embarrassed every day. Yeah, it's honestly like it's an interesting path. But I think there was like a element of that early on and then it's also hard. Like when there's like 30 people watching you and filming you all the time and you're like, fuck, I got to not have any dead air or I got to try and like I had a book. If you watch the show on the bedside table, there's a book 150 questions to ask your future wife because I was like, I can't go into these scenes or these moments without just like absolutely firing off as many questions and trying to learn as quick as possible. So I think there was a big element of performance early on. Then it slowed down. It was me. And then once I got off the show, I was like, oh my god, like I got to I got to just breathe for a little bit. But now this, you know, it's it's going to be all me no more performance. Well, I did one more show, but oh my god, what? But even I guess when you're online and you're in your making content, is that is that always hairy, jowzy, the person or is it sometimes like when you're making that content, right? And you're like, you know what? I screw these people. Are you leaning in or in like just being spicy or naughty as you say? Or is that how you really feel in the moment? I think there's that's an armor for sure. I think I definitely take things a lot personal. Like I definitely like same as you guys. Like there's probably some comments that you see that you're like, oh, that really fucking sucks. And that's my apologies. Anyway, yeah, anyway, should we wrap this up? Yeah, all right. Thanks guys. But no, you know, you know, where it came from was when I did what the handle fuck that to be off. I forgot about that. What I did to handle the element of being the fuck boy and being like playing into that. Oh my god, I can't resist from sex all that stuff. I go and do all these podcasts. It's like locker room chat. I'm leaning into it. I'm playing this like character. There was a big element of that, which is obviously true to me, but also a big element of that that I kept going because I was like, oh, this works. Like people like people want you to play that person. So I think like when you when you're the video that you sent me and you're like, how do you do it? There's an element of like, you gotta just piss people off a little bit get because I think that was a trial reel that I posted. And everyone who comments hate on my post, that they get hit with my trial reels and they keep calling it like the thing is they just keep seeing my stuff. The more they're coming on it, which is great because my insights are also this month. But yeah, I don't know. I think that now it's trying to be way more funny than then take things on. Amber had a good point of kind of like, you know, we got off this and he still kind of was you did like a Wendy's brand deal and you were kissing somebody or you were out with all these influencers and filming all this content. She was kind of like, listen, I kind of thought, you know, once you got married, you'd be like, Hey, my content's going to change, you know, it's going to be a little bit different. Which I felt was a fair point. What do you think? I think that's a fair point for sure. And definitely, you know, now leading forward in my relationship won't see any of that stuff at all. The BB rexo music video that we filmed where we're making out. Me and Amber actually weren't together when I filmed that. But I understand the pain and I fully get it. Like I fully understand that she would be upset about that because again, we were still talking and chatting here and there. But it's also like, it's hard to just offer a show and I don't know. Like I don't think my content with Anna, which is probably what she was talking about where we were pretending to try to put up a smoke screen. The problem was is that Amber was there the whole time with us when we're filming that stuff. And so that's why I got a little bit confusing. And if it was, if it felt like a bit of a problem, we definitely could have spoken about it or we definitely could have addressed it or I could have been like, yep, actually you're right. I am being an idiot. I shouldn't do this. This isn't respectful to you or her boyfriend. And I should have gone about it a better way. But I think my brain and and no no cop out at all. But my brain in those moments after we spotted a couple of times Netflix is angry at me. Everyone's like, what are you doing? I was like, what the fuck can I do to distract people? No one believed that me and Anna together were together, which was annoying. But I was trying my best because I was like, what do I, how do I do this? I don't know. I should have called you guys and be like, what, help me? And you would have been like delete your Instagram. Yeah. No, I mean, I honestly would chalk that up into again, like, not, you know, like these couples don't have the conversations they're supposed to have, you know, entering this like in, I don't know. I mean, listen, you definitely could have done a better job. That's for sure. I'm not unless you have to hug, but it's an imperfect world. Your current relationship, you say you're in the best relationship of your life, you know, like healing and changing is never a finished product. But like, what's different about Harry Jowzy today? Then, then was when you're dating these women or Jess Vestel or, you know, any woman from your past that has a grievance? Yeah. I think that the, it kind of clicked when I met my person, to be honest, like a, and maybe you guys will have the same experience, but like, when I met her and like, there was just like this sense of ease and like patience. Like, I realized early on, like I'm rush, rush, rush. Oh my god, I've got married in five weeks. I have to push through everything. When I met her, she's like, whoa, fucking relax. Like, it's all good. Everything's okay. You don't need to be anxious. You don't need to be worried. And I realized that I had an anxious attachment style and been working through that to be a little bit more secure and not be worried about everything and not have big bumps. Like, it has been such a, um, just sunlight is what it feels like all the time because of just how patient and understanding and how much slower it has been and knowing that like, it's all good. Like, we're fine. Let's talk through it instead of, you know, us not talking for like a week or whatever else and then going, you know, I believe like in the past, every fight that has happened, I've gone, oh, we're breaking up and then be like, okay, well, then just don't be with me. Like, it's been like that and the very immature way through it. With this, any conflict or any conversation, that's, that's like breaking the law. You can't say that. Like, at all, unless you mean it. So I think there's like a lot more intent and intention in this one. And I just like, the greatest person I've ever met and she's my favorite thing to talk about all the time. And I get so excited when I get the opportunity to like talk to her friends or her family or whatever else, but like, it has been such a slow and amazing relationship. So I think that's probably what it was. I think like in LA, it's like so much going on all the time. And then also like, I don't think I was really ready. Like, you guys saw it on the show. Like, I don't think I was really ready for a stable and good relationship. I think coming out of all of these 10 years of craziness and wild ups and downs and whatever else, I think it got me like so prepared to be like, you know what, I know what I don't want. I know what I do want. And I've found everything I've asked for. Are you keeping her private right now? Yeah. To be honest, I think it has been so amazing private. It's been so great to just have it to us. And I don't know if I will ever, we'll ever go public to be honest because why would I ruin that? Why would I try and kind of jeopardize this whole thing? And I saw a few people commenting, well, you know, like, he owes it to us because his whole his whole life is public. And I'm like, why can't I have one thing for myself? Like, you guys literally have everything. I'm a surprise. You don't have anyone accusing you of making up a fake great relationship. Yeah. Well, that's a good one too. Yeah. Well, here we go. Just guys, please, please call it. We can cut it. Yeah. She's invisible. No, no, no, it's not great. She's not real. Yeah. Yeah, she's invisible. Yeah. She's actually here with me. She's on the couch. So as it stands out, you, you're going to, you want to marry this person? He just said he was taking it very slow. I believe so. Well, he also said this is my person. That's true. Okay. Well, look, I don't want to see his thing. I said it in the past and I got in trouble. So I believe so. So excited. I don't want to. Okay. Yeah. If, and I hope this doesn't have for you, but let's say tomorrow, whatever reason, she's like, I'm out. I can't do it. Whatever. Do you think you will be able to maintain whatever is working in this relationship? You know, and, and because it sounds like maybe she was a big driver and in helping you get to this place, which is, it's great to find someone who does help you get there. But do you think you are capable at this point of exercising whatever you've had to exercise to, to be this different version of yourself? God forbid, this doesn't work out. And is that next person going to enjoy this new Harry? Look, I believe so. Like I, I really, I really hope so because it's been like I've learned so much. And gosh, if I didn't, like, if I didn't have, have anything like this again, I'll be an absolute idiot. Like it's, yeah, it's the most amazing, most beautiful thing I've ever been a part of. I don't know why I'm acting like it's a project, but like, I don't know how to say it. Probably a bit of part of like, like, I filmed a Marvel movie. But that's what it feels like. It feels like a Marvel movie to me. But I hope so. To be honest, like anything, anything known as good as this is, is a waste of time. You know, it's been the most amazing thing ever. And I, and I pray, I mean, pray, I pray every day that she stays with me forever because she's amazing. You said you were reading some books. I believe on
and ungrief going into the relationship or just kind of how to better yourself. What are some books that you've read or just some takeaways that you really stuck with you? - A good one that I read before filming this show was he scared she scared. I don't know if you know that book. - Not familiar. - Basically it's all about self-sabotage 'cause your boy's pretty good at it. And who's it by? It is by Stephen Cotta and Julia Suckel. That was a really good one for any young man or young people that are worried about self-sabotage. I think you should just dive into that. Take it on board or don't take it on board at all, but just to learn. But the signs was a really, really good one by Dr. Tara Swat and that was all about grief. So if anyone has lost a person, please, please, please, please, read that book or listen to audiobook or listen to her and Jay Shetty's podcast or Stephen Bartlett, I don't know. She did one of those guys, they're great. But she really kind of dives deep in on, when you lose someone you gotta just ask for signs and I read it before I did this show and I was asking for a lot of signs from my dad and evidently they all popped up around Amber. So I be kind of made that decision for me. So yeah, I'm curious about the book about self-sabotage because I've recently like talked about my feelings. It's like, it's become one of those buzzwords that's almost like a chic label. Feel like I self-sabotage. You know, it's almost like it almost sounds kind of good in a way that like doesn't allow us to actually identify why are we self-sabotaging? Like what's the thing we're doing that causes us a self-sabotage? Like did you learn anything about yourself in general or reading that book where it's just like, you know, the self-sabotage is the endgame but what causes it in a way that like actually invokes change? - Yeah, I think my biggest thing is that I grew up in a pretty chaotic household. My parents loved to just go to war with each other as much as they could. So I believe, from me that book, and obviously, people think my therapist is also invisible but she's very real, she's great. I believe that growing up in a household where your parents aren't always seeing eye to eye and there's a lot of conflict and there was a lot of, you know, physical altercations in our house, that when I was becoming like a young adult, I was like, well, if a relationship doesn't have that heat and anger and if she's not angry at me, like she doesn't love me. So I think it would get to those moments where I'd be like, oh yeah, cool, like if, well, we're having an argument perfect, like my brain is getting validated. So I had to unlearn a lot of that 'cause it's obviously not healthy, great for reality TV, I'm sure, but not healthy in real life. So going through those moments and then also like, I think the, with the self-sabotage, you know, it's the posting stuff. It's like kind of leaning into the fuckboy aesthetic. I know with Georgia, I remember I did a podcast and I was joking about being the bachelor and I was very much in a happy relationship with her and I knew that that really upset her and I knew better, but I was like, I'm just gonna say it anyway to like get that reaction. So I think like going through that and looking back and being like, okay, this is clearly me self-sabotaging to just be an idiot or to cause conflict to feel that love or think that that is what love is, is really unfair. So I don't know if I answered that or was it? - No, no, I appreciate the answer, yeah. No, yeah. I was like, I'm trying not to be political, I'm trying to, I mean, I'm sure there's a lot more but I appreciate the insight and there's definitely more. - You know what I'm saying though? Like, it's so chic to be like, I self-sabotage. - It is, it is, it's like a cop out. - Yeah. - Yeah, just say what you're doing. - Yeah. - Why don't we not address? - Oh, do you want to, Joe, I'm gonna say my, 'cause people don't think I apologize to Sam, I can read the message too. - Okay. - If you guys want. - Please. - Okay, listen, floor is yours. - If I'm not, if I'm not blocked. - Oh. - I know Amber blocked me. - Wait, she said you blocked her on Instagram. - Oh yeah, no, I've never blocked her in my life. Never blocked her in my life. I could, I was like, oh, someone said she's posting stuff and I went to go check after the reunion, like nothing. I couldn't see it. Basically, I message Sam 'cause there was a bit of stuff going on online, which I won't speak on, but I just said, I genuinely want to apologize for the whole lying situation. It was a really strange position to be in, but I know that doesn't change how it affected you. I'm so sorry that it took away from your experience or made you made any of it harder than it needed to be. So guys, sometimes I'm nice. - That's a pretty good apology. - That's brilliant. - Did she respond? - Yeah, and yeah, she did, and we talked, we sent voice notes and like everything was fine. So like to see that, I was like, oh, okay, fair enough, like fair enough if that's the moment, but basically what did she say? She said, thank you, I really appreciate that. Also, it definitely didn't take away from the experience. Honestly, I had the best time in my life. I met my best friends, now my roommate on the show. Yeah, it was definitely interesting to watch it back, but if I'm being honest, I knew what happened immediately. I just wanted you to be honest with me. And the whole process was about choosing you as much as it was you choosing us. I'd do it again. I'd do it all over again if I could. It was such a unique and amazing experience with you. - She kind of echoed the same on our show. She was pretty gracious. - Okay, good. - Failure, what are we missing? - Yeah, I just had a couple of questions, just like show moments that I just set here for you. - I know, I know, I know you love. I was curious, what was the shower scene like from your point of view, and like the aftermath of it? I don't know if clearly you were in the car. - What position, you know? - Okay. - Yeah, okay. I'll explain this 'cause basically once our dear friend Juliana, you gotta have it on the pot. Wow, she's got so much to say. Well, once our dear friend Juliana had left, like the girls were feeling a little bit uneasy and Amber was like, look, if you can get rid of her, I would have gone. And basically we went into the shower. I turned it on to kind of drown out noise and took our mics off and then we went into a closet and obviously, yeah, did what we did. But obviously, I'm not very good at lying. So when the saying was like, you guys were in the shower, I'm like, look at my hair, it's dry. Not a good lie, I could have done everything better. - How many women did you sleep with during filming? - Just three. - Just three. - Yeah. - Was Abby one of those people? - Yeah, me and Abby had a moment, I was sure. - I'm out of the understanding when the Bachelor like first came out and they weren't like cast. Like it was in like an orangey. - Oh my God. - Maybe that's the summer. - Thank God, this wasn't that. 'Cause I would have never had the end of that. - Not an orangey, but the Bachelor, there are lots of hookups you never heard about. - That makes sense. - Yeah. - It's Julianna the one you said you loved her? That was, was that her? - Yeah, and I really appreciate you guys taking that too. What's that called? - That was crazy. - I'm not good at taking her side. But I was like, what's going on here? Like this is-- - That won me over, to be honest. (laughing) Yeah, no, you know, was the interesting thing about that. I know through filming, they had to put producers and people at the bottom of the stairs to stop them from coming up. 'Cause they're like, you gotta just leave this guy alone. Like he's gotta sleep. And she was one of those people. But we, to be honest, like that was fully my fault. Like I shouldn't have been playing into it as much as I was and being as silly as I was. But yeah, I just, it was, it was interesting to see like her go downstairs and announce to the girls like what happened, and he loves me. - But also, yeah, in a completely different way of how it happened. It was not. - So, and I don't, I think it was longer than 40 minutes. Like I think it was like an hour or so where we were sitting there and I was like, "Oh, we don't have to do it." But obviously I had a couple of tequilists. - And what was crazy is that you were like, I love you too. And then she left. And then I don't know who came in next, but then y'all are like, making out on the bed. And it's like, okay. - Well, I'm an idiot. But you know what, the funny thing is, out of everyone in the whole cast, me and Juliana are the only ones that are in a happy relationship. - Yeah, there you go. - It's a technical, there we go. Look at us, Juliana. - You really did love each other. - Yeah, what else, Bailey? - Yeah. - Oh yeah, sorry, just clarifying. So you said three women, obviously Amber, Abby. Did you sleep with Danelle on the show or was that after, are you referring to? - So, the early on scene where me and Danelle are in the closet, I had to call David. And I'm like, was that real? Like those moments were real. He's like, I don't know what you guys were doing in there. I believe we were just kissing, but it sounds like we weren't. But we never slept together until later on in the show and doing the overnight. So, yeah. - You're referring to someone different. - Wait. - You said three people. - Oh, Abby, Abby was the other one. So that was the same night as Amber. - Yeah, okay, gotcha. And then you said three. So was that someone on the show or was that just off the show? - I think Amber, Danelle. - Abby, Amber and Danelle? - Yeah, yeah. That's the three. - We were just wondering if you were intimate with them on the show or was that just total? - Oh, that was on the show, total. Oh, no, I didn't sleep with anyone else. After, oh, Danelle and Amber. Gotcha. - Okay. - Bailey is very angry. - I'm, I'm putting my foot on my arm. - Bailey wants to know. - Yeah. - In the streets where I sleep. - Yeah, yeah. No, but also, I think that was, what was difficult too, 'cause Abby came and saw us when we were in Australia. And I saw that she was like, "Oh, Harry's like way different off camera." I'm like, "How could I not be uncomfortable in this situation?" Like, I didn't know what to do when they were all hanging out. I was like, "I'm just gonna go to the gym with my friends." But I feel like that's definitely a fair statement to say I'm different off camera 'cause it's hard to not be a played up version when there's like 65 cameras pointed at you in. And then when you're just like, the person you are sitting on the couch is very different to that. - Your critics would say you're still, You're very charming, but still, and. very immature. You're very easy at being like, "Oh, that's fair." But I mean, like, do you feel like, that's like your golden, like, "Yeah, sure." Yeah, well, yeah, yeah, sure. But like, how much have you feel like you've matured since, I guess this, you know, since this year? Yeah, I think the greatest thing about these shows is that you get to reflect back on a person you are a year ago and like look at, you know, all the mistakes, you'll go to the bad. And obviously, being me, there's always a lot of criticism and a lot of people that have, you know, mixed feelings. So you definitely get to self-reflect. So I think definitely there's a big part of me that is a big kid all the time. Like, I love playing and I love being silly and I love having fun. Like, it's the reason why I went on reality TV was just to make my friends laugh. So I think for sure that would be a fair statement that there is some immature, immaturely there, but like in my personal life with my friends and stuff, like, I'm not doing the same stuff that I'm doing on camera or whatever else. But yeah, I think that's fair. I've seen a couple of blast from the past, Francesca's comments under some. Oh my God. What did she say? Can she leave me alone? Okay, can we talk about this? Like this is, and like shout out to her. Like I wish her the absolute best, but I just wish she would leave me alone. Like it's been, I think I met Francesca sort of the handle which we filmed in 2019, 2019 we filmed that, right? And we haven't spoken. We don't talk to each other. I've been blocked for years and years and years, but anytime I'm in the news or anytime there's something that goes on, it's like she's the first person to be in the comments and to just let it fly. I don't know what it is or like, because you think of the version of yourself that you were 2019. Very different, like we don't know each other at all. Like I don't know anything goes on her life. She obviously knows what's going on in my life. But like there's a lot of stuff that she's been doing and saying and I'm like, just like please leave me alone. Like I don't talk about you. This is the only time I'll address it with you guys, but like I wish her all the best in her relationship and her life and like anytime I do something or anytime I'm in the news or whatever else. Like I wish I could comment on stuff she does, but like I don't know what she's doing. And also I wouldn't, 'cause I just wanna see a happy and we have a bad ending to your relationship. Yeah, we had the worst. It's the worst. It was a really long time ago, but yeah. Yeah, I'd like that's the thing too. It's just like, I don't know why there's still so much hatred. Like it would serve her so much better to just be like, oh God, see you later. Like I don't wanna deal with that or I don't need to comment on every post, but like it's, I don't know. I don't tell me. No, I mean, continuing down the line of your exes, have you spoken to Jess Vestel at all since Perfect Match? No, no, never. No, I think yeah, Perfect Match was it. And again, she seems to have moved on. Truly, yeah. Okay, do we need anything else? Thank God. Thank God. I mean, speaking of your blast from the past from your, no, no, this is a fun last question. From Heartbreak Island to Let's Marry Harry. What were your favorite and like least favorite shows to be on and why? Heartbreak Island was just a confusing show to be on 'cause it was like Love Island, Big Brother Survivor. We don't know what we're doing. And we also weren't really eating and we got hit by a cyclone when we're filming our final like winning scene. A cyclone? So like we're on an island in Fiji. Yeah, we had to film like we're gonna film like the final, like these people won outside, but a cyclone hit. So they put us in a shed and the shed was shaking and it was crazy. It was like they literally just like sped through it. Like you guys wanna get out of here. But I'm actually seeing my friend that I beat on that show for his wedding next month. So it's really exciting. But I think the worst one, probably perfect match. I wasn't the best. Well, I haven't really been the best in a lot of them, but that one was really, I was really going through it and I wasn't doing well mentally. The most rewarding one, probably Dance with the Stars or Amazing Race. Amazing Race was awesome. If you guys ever get a chance to do it, I know they are crossing. Yeah, it's way too many random ones. But Amazing Race was awesome because you get to take, I was with my best friend, we were in India, we were just racing around India. And like just for 14 hours, just like in the trenches, like trying to figure out what's going on. It was amazing. It was good. Would you do special forces? Yeah, for sure. You should do special forces. Did you do it? Yeah, you did it. I won. Oh, okay. I might have to call you for some advice. I'm like, who does have to be resilient, man? Which I think you probably are. Fuck then. I'm cooked. Yeah. As long as I can play the victim that I'm good. You said you did another shot. Can you tease what other show you've done? Oh, yeah. A Hulu show, which is out of the next couple months. The mob. There it is. There it is. How did you guys get that? So quick. We almost named our dollar. You should do that. You should do that one. If you get a chance, you should do that. I haven't had a lot of time. I've had to turn down traders a couple times. You should be great. I don't want to do it, but I just like life hasn't let me get it. Wow. It's three kids. You guys are busy. And it's a huge podcast. It's so fun. Are you guys going to the tour at all or not? No, I should give you. Are you excited? Did you ever do that? Really? Why? You know, I just, like, I'd rather just, yeah, it's just, I don't, I don't want to meet my critics. I don't know. I'm just trying to survive, bro. No, you should do it. It's fun. We did. We did. And that was a lot of fun. And I, you know, I don't think I could do what she did credit to her. Yeah, it was a lot. It was a lot. But it was not just a, it was a, you know, it was a great production and everything. And it's just like it's, um, if I can't do that, I don't want to do it, you know, I don't think I can do it. Yeah. That's fair. Harry, thanks for coming, man. Was that good? Do you guys need anything else? It just, is there anything else you want to say? I don't know. Like, I just, um, I hope you get more of the girls on and hopefully this is it, you know, hopefully that everyone should leave me alone and whatever I did, you know, I'm very sorry to everyone. And we said, well, hopefully this relationship lasts and, um, well you, oh, for this, if you do marry this person that you're with, will you only post photos of yourself at that wedding too? That's a good question. Depends how good I look to be. I imagine you'll look great. She's the boss. So whatever she says goes, I can't speak for, I can't speak for any of them, but I definitely don't think I can speak for Francesca because I'm not as familiar with that. But I feel like if this really works out, Harry, for you, this relationship and you truly are, you know, reformed and you've, you've learned your lessons and you finally have figured it out. Um, and you're here to protect your partner and do all the things that is required in a relationship to really show up on a consistent basis. I even think Jess Vesta will be happy for you and, and feel like, you know, um, yeah, she's living her best life. But like if Georgia, I mean, look at you and George's relationship, like who would have thought that? Oh my god. Wow. Who? Not me. Tell me, don't you guys see that? No, she came on our chat. Talk to your, the talk to her shit. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She'd have it back. Hopefully she still says nice things. Harry, I, I do appreciate you coming on, man. This has been fun. Hopefully, hopefully not too painful. But, uh, yeah, listen, I'm, you know, we're hoping, hopefully you've, you know, I still won't probably recommend a friend if this doesn't work out. I hope you don't take that personally, but, um, listen, good luck with everything. I appreciate you coming on. I hope you had some fun and I'm glad we were able to, to have you on, man. No, this is good. Thank you so much. And I'm glad we squashed the beef and squashed it. Everyone else was asking you about you and next relationship might as well just come on and talk about it yourself. Yeah. Here we are. Yeah. Me and Nick are actually together, guys. Surprise. I was like, why? Like, why is everyone asking Harry about, man, it's just like, I didn't, you know, I'm glad they care. Yeah. I'm glad they care. Yeah. It's nice. It's nice. I really appreciate it. And I think this will be a big couple for everyone too. Well, thanks for coming on. Best of luck in this relationship. Thanks for asking, addressing all of our questions. Yeah, I think of the day let's marry Harry was a very entertaining show. It was a great show. It was a great show. Thank you guys. I do emphasize with the, you know, there's a lot of thing about production these shows that it's, it's, it's, it's, it's tough to navigate. I mean, somebody, you know, you did a lot of bullshit for sure, but don't give me wrong. But I, I empathize with a lot of it. Thanks for listening, guys. Harry, thanks again. And I hope you guys enjoyed this episode. Bye. [MUSIC PLAYING]

He admits to self-sabotage during the show, particularly through excessive intimacy and emotional vulnerability, which he now recognizes as rooted in his upbringing in a chaotic household.
