Like when that is like, we're like, used to that. >> At that time, there was a little dance, little, little corny, pinchy dance, you know, one of those. It's like a tick now. The dolphin. >> Yeah. I swear to god. >> Jamie, do you ever have a coach like pull you aside and talk to you about your social media content? >> Well, I mean, we could talk about this. So when I was at Ohio State, it was when I and I held real past. So I was one of the first athletes to be able to monetize, like my tick type level. You were, dude, you're a, you're breaking barriers. >> Yeah, I was pioneering. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> But so, initially my coach was like, what are you doing? Like, you want to be a basketball player or do you want to be a tick talker? Like, what's going on? And then again, my first ever brand deal was Adidas. I'm at a Nike school and it became like a leverage battle. If Nike doesn't want me to do the deal, they got to kind of pay me more not to do it. And my coach is like, I see, keep doing your thing. >> Yeah. >> But do your little dancing dance, bro? >> Yeah, in your experience were coaches like super open to like student athletes going online and stuff? >> Initially, no, like I had a buddy at a rival school who was, you know, at a similar level on the internet as me. And his coach was like, no, like I'm nipping this shit about right now. Like you're not going to be a distraction in the locker room. You're, we're about the team. This is not about your off court brands. But my coach, thankfully, he saw like the long-term play I think. So he was like, keep doing your thing. Like I don't get it, but like it's clearly bringing you money. So like. >> It's so crazy that a coach or really anybody like a mentor, this happens a lot. I feel like a lot of people even in the bachelor world, like there's such a stigma. Maybe not anymore, but I feel like a few years ago, it's like, oh, like you have a real job. You can't really be showing up online like this. It's not like you're like not doing something, you know, saying inappropriate stuff or doing something that's like taken away from, you know, an overall like well perceived brand. I'm like, why would anybody discourage you from like trying to create something of your own? >> I tell anybody nowadays, like if you're thinking about getting into content, like yeah, it's a hurdle, like it's a mental block. But like if you can't execute the vision properly, all it can do is add benefit. As long as you can chalk up the noise to just noise and not let it like ruin your day to day, your mental health, it can only just add value. >> Speaking of, we got the suburban, double lives, the suburban wife. >> Yeah, dude. >> Oh, it's being of adding value. >> Speaking of content creation. And this is not a type of show that I'd ever imagine my dad watching. I'm like, yeah, we watched the first two season, and he's like, no, he's like the third season's the best season. He was like, he's like, yeah, it's like it really gets into the character. He's like, yeah, it was a tough watch at first, but like man, season three, it was really great. >> And the part was Sidney Sweeney, right? He was captivating, but he did not bring up Sidney Sweeney. This is a type of show that we would never be able to watch growing up. And the fact that my dad was confessed to me that it was a stand. He was one of the few people. Yeah, you're feeling more settled. I am. I'm feeling like we're getting a little bit more into a routine. Now we're seven weeks postpartum. Babies are seven weeks old. So we're, I think, finding our way, don't you think? Yeah, I'm really tired tonight today. I was gonna ask about the sleep, yeah. Which is interesting because I woke up next to two babies and looked over and Nick was nowhere to be found. So I thought, oh, let me call him. He's probably up with River. Call, phone rings on the bedside table. I said, hmm, that's weird. He doesn't have his phone. Checked River's camera. He's asleep and River is gone. What? And he were sleeping in River bed. Where was River? She must have been with my mom. My mom was helping him this morning. Oh, yeah, yeah. But I was like, oh, he's getting some beauty rest. It looks like. River wakes up at like 6.30 and she's like, morning time. Morning time. Morning time. Morning time. Morning time. That's it. Are you guys on a pretty good schedule? Like, do you have it down to like, okay, they eat at this time? They did three apps. Every three hours. Eat, nap. We try to do like eat, play, nap, play as in like go to school, look at your contrast cards. But you know, with having River around, it's also hard to prioritize that. So it's a lot of just like, they're staring at me or River or my mom, just like staring at the ceiling, you know, and that's their play time. But. How old is River? She's two and a half. And does she have a set nap, nap time during the day? Like, you guys take one nap at one o'clock and then are the twins normally down during that time? No. They're never really, they're either sleeping, eating or like doing something in between. Staring. Staring. Staring. Because I'm like, at what point. Same. I mean, crying, throwing up. Yeah. I mean, crying. At what point? Like, does Natalie, do you get like, a 20 minute, like, like all the babies are asleep? Or you constantly stimulated? Yeah. You're just constantly. Yeah. Constantly. Yeah. Constantly. Okay. It's not a really quiet house anymore, but that's what we prayed for, you know, hands are full, but thank God, they're not empty. You know what I'm saying? Yes. She didn't go to Pilates this morning. I did. That's amazing. I know. My mom's been with us. She's been helping us. I've had to like, um, share her with my brother recently because his wife just had a baby two weeks after I had the twins. And River was her first granddaughter. So I was like, used to having mom at like back and call, you know, she's retired single. I'd be like, "Mom, come on up, hang out for a month." And now she's like, "Oh, I got to go see your brother and help him with his son." Which is just not what I'm used to. Yeah, she had custody for sure. So that's going to have a struggle, but I did get out for an ice and will everyone be okay for a 50 minute Pilates class? And they all said yes. Amazing. Natalie, can I just say, "I've really missed your little southern turns of phrases?" I've really missed your all. They add something special. They do, don't say. You guys, I was just in Tennessee with my sister who had a baby like four months ago. And I offered to do the night shift and I have to say, "I give you all so much credit. I'm barely here. I'm barely alive in the studio because the way waking up three times and trying to get a baby back to sleep, that's one baby, that's four months, I can't imagine having two newborns and a two-year-old. I give you all so much credit." There's some moments the night where it gets. When Nick and I are fighting, it's because it's the middle of the night. And he said some shit left sideways and I was like, "Are you serious right now?" And then we're both just two a.m. We're both tired. We're very short with each other. I don't wear the fucking bottles out. Yeah, but overall we're doing pretty good guys. You guys, I'm so impressed. Yeah, we're hanging in there, you know. Good, I'm glad. And looking y'all sitting there together, Natalie looks beautiful. Did you get to blow out? No, actually, it did not. It looks good! It looks like he does it. It looks like he did. And other news, did you guys hear about Tyler Cameron and Tate Madden getting engaged? Did we hear, babe? You want to hear a crazy story? Yes. I saw his post on Instagram where he posted like 12 pictures of Tate and it was like Tate Appreciation Day or some corny shit like that. And so I texted him and said, "Propose already." Like if you're going to post this Tate Appreciation, you got to propose. Like what are you doing? Right. And he just responds with a picture of her hand with this gigantic engagement ring on. And I was like, "Oh, my empathy is crazy." That's amazing. This is a big ring. It's huge, which I mean-- I'm texting with her right now as if he wants to waste time us. What do you all think about kids before marriage? Well, I hope you feel good about it, Jane, because we did that. We send. Yeah. We had Little River about three months old at the wedding. Makes a good prop at a wedding. I love that. Yeah. It's also like a good proof of concept. I love it. My uncle and my auntie. They got kids. They never got married. We have a lot going on with the secret lives of more than wives. What I'm wondering of this show is like, is it becoming unfund a follow and watch with all the drama going on in this universe? Thankfully, we have a lighter show where the moms are only fan creators. Never thought I would say that, but the double lives of suburban wives. You know, I think it's one of the best shows on TV right now. A lot of people in the comments thought it was like a little scripted and I was like, guys, you're missing the plot here. Like they're new at this. They're new at TV making. That's a skill set. You know, like they have to, these are scenes they're making, but like the storylines are like right themselves. I mean, these moms are moms. They're Christian. They have, they live in a small town. They're only fan models. They have all these different like code words for what they do from creator to collaboration. Collaboration to porn star to adult content. It's a whole spectrum. Wait, this is fascinating. That's what this is about. Yes, double life is that they're only fans creators. Yes. And they're like small town moms. They do it with their husbands. And like very, very conservative Christian women in Missouri. And this is their like in a non freaky way. I actually have to watch this. Yeah. That's fascinating. I have to go Google. I want to see what's in a free. The content. Yeah. In a freaky way. I want to see what the content looks like. I mean, my interest is peak just enough to where I'm like, literally, I'm like, I will subscribe. Like I want to see what I want to see what's going on. Yeah, I mean, they talk about it. I mean, definitely subscribe support swan businesses. But like they talk about what they do. They show little like blurred clips and stuff. And they're shut like it's wild. And they have kids pretty much. Yeah, all of them have kids pretty much none of their family knows. I would love to talk to the kids that they do. So like they're finding out via this show. Yeah. Yeah. Wow. It's wild. We have three of the main women Tammy, Tammy, Macy and Bri ongoing deeper tomorrow. We get into all of these questions about how they got started. What does this like? How do they communicate in this really? Again, they do this with their husbands. You know, what do, you know, do their families know yet? How are they? You know, what are parent teacher conferences like? I mean, I had so many questions. It's a fascinating episode. That is all tomorrow ongoing deeper. It is, it's a wild, it's a wild interview. You got to check it out. But I honestly never would have thought that like the suburban wife show would be easier and like lighter to follow than the secret lives of Mormon wives because like right now, it's just like we just had Marciano settle his case with Demi. In case you forgot about that, Demi made some very serious accusations towards Marciano. He then counters, not counters, who'd or sued her for defamation. Now there's a settlement. And it's just like, usually when we cover these shows, it's always like, hey, are you team X or your team Y? And now it's like, how do we, it's like, it's hard to even give any kind of input on it. Like that's like to your point Nick. It's like at a certain point, these topics, well, not at a certain point. These topics are not fun to talk about. And I think that's the point of like, reality TV and pop culture is like, oh, we like to have a little gossip and we like to talk about these things. But at this point, with everything that's going on with like abuse allegations, sexual, like assault allegations or misconduct, it's not like, and that's, and that's the reality of the real world. But I'm like, okay, we don't need to be monetizing off of this type of behavior. Like, that's why I agree with you. I'm like, it's, I'm not that excited about this upcoming season. I'm like, what are we going to be watching? Yeah. Where something like this double lives is kind of light right now. I'm like, this is kind of, it's kind of a breath of fresh air. And I hope they keep it that way, right? Because obviously with the theme of the show, I'm sure there's, you know, there's a dark side to every world. That's just like, think about how dark the valley got, you know, last season. And that was like, that was a fraction of some of the conversations that are going on with these women of secret of secret lives, the more and why. So it reminds me of what's going on with the WMBA, how like they can't even talk about the WMBA because it's all about the off court drama. Yeah. It's not even about the show anymore. It's just like, how do you talk about the league? Yeah. Because what goes viral, what people want to talk about is nothing to do with actual basketball. Yeah, I know. And I think about that too. I think about that in the way that like we cover, honestly, like anything on this show, because there's basketball, like women's basketball specifically right now, because of, I mean, honestly, what you were talking about with like the NIL and like the TikToks you were doing so much are the way people consume both sports and reality TV. Specifically, Mormon wives is through this like clips and like off court, essentially off court drama, even in Mormon wives, like that's what it is. And so it's like, you get so caught up in the weeds of this stuff. That's like fun and helps you sell into like the show or the game. Where it's like, we lost the plot. Yeah. And like, I'm someone who loves the WNBA drama, but even now, like I'm like, okay. Listen, I of course there was some apprehension, but like I moved to New York like So ready to make new friends and you meet new people You know you move with some of your college friends and that but like it's New York City like if you're not meeting people You're not doing it right. So I was like all right Let's go for you, bro. You immersed yourself and are we regretting it or are we happy with our decision? Jury's still out on that one No, it's fun. It's fun. It's definitely an interesting experience, right? Like I'm just willing to say yes to a lot of stuff So like that's just one of the things that producers love you You think so I'm just playing ball. I'm like absolutely Were you always like I'm down to do reality TV or was it a situation because I feel like what's great about you On the show is you're kind of just like a normal guy that's there kind of like around this Is that like do you feel like that's kind of what happened or was it more like intentional for you to like do reality TV? My dream has always been to go on survivor Like that was like what I wanted to do but you can't tie to be a survivor if you're not a U.S. citizen And I'm not a U.S. citizen So when I found that out it was like the most heartbreaking use ever really so then they're like Do you want to do next year? And we see it was like that's pretty much survivor without without the challenges Let's and you don't have to starve. Yeah, you get to eat the social dynamic still there. It still feels like survivor But would yeah, we're doing it. Mm-hmm Do you feel like you're playing like a social game on next gen like you would on survivor? I feel like just lives a little bit of social game. So I mean sure, you know, like I don't know. It's there's definitely like weird Weird conversations happening. So yeah, does it kind of feel like shy like you're like doing a show within the show And it's almost like game of thrones and because I feel like a lot of this show is set up around like competition around Get the best deals get the most airtime. It's very met very meta in that way But do you do you feel that pressure outside of when the cameras aren't rolling? No, I mean, I think you're right on with that. I feel like there's like A little sense of and especially people watching some people like well, this is like kind of all Set up, right? And you're like oh well everyone's kind of in end of the day like it is just Kind of who we are as people to you know, it's just it is real relationships. Well, I'll kind of just Having him flowing with it. So I don't think it is Entirely that like fighting for that like there are moments where you wherever we forget the cameras are there and we're just like Still still in the midst of it, right? So I don't think there's that much competition there for all that screen time stuff I think it's just how it's played out by natural honestly. You're the john Snowbrother. What are your opinions on Charlie? I feel like he's one of the most polarizing characters on the show It's like he's always like putting his foot in his mouth. He's always like getting come up a drama He's like you know being attached to Crypto scams and then the other end there's a lot of people who are like I fuck with Charlie. He's my boy. He's misunderstood You know, you know, you don't know the whole picture. Where do you land on Charlie and what are your thoughts? You know, it's funny like I feel like my friendship with him is very Like I'm really good like compartmentalizing I guess and my friendship with him is just like one one thing He's at him and I just have like a really good, you know Flow to our friendship. We just like we chat very easily. We just like hang out and stuff and then Quite frankly like and if you watch the season like there's a lot of times where like I have no clue What his arguments are about with other people. We sitting at dinner like somebody like Charlie said this type of like too Do you when did you say that like you know like I had no clue like that was a thing But hey, but I just have like a completely separate, you know I'm a friendship going on. That's like not really super group. I just I'm more of like an individual Relationship guy rather than like the group dynamic. I don't really like that big group mass Ventali thought so I know. Do you think you could trust him? No But you can't trust most people. You know, that's true. You really can't there's a guy on survivor who's just it was on survivor like I think it was I want to say season 12 he said Love many trust you and do harm to none and that's just like I heard that when I was young. I was like I live by that you know Or love many trust you and do harm to none. So Charlie falls and not trust for you category What if your friend who like you carper mentalized that friendship? Does harm to others in some way or like someone's like I felt like they did harm to me and they go shy How can you fuck with Charlie? Not saying that that's the case, but in that scenario when you're like, you know He didn't do that to me type of energy. How do you address that in a friendship? No, absolutely It's a great point like it's like as if I'm like endorsing this behavior, but I'm really not I mean like I think there's a lot of times On and off camera and it's not fully like Put it in the show entirely, but there's a lot of times off camera, especially as Charlie has friendship hug has evolved that like we do have very Intense conversations hard to hearts about like what my morals and his morals and where they align and where they don't align It's just like kind of figuring out that common ground and trying to see other perspectives I just think that's like kind of what 20s in New York's like everyone's gonna fuck up a little bit You kind of have to work around that and just get benefit down hopefully Hopefully you see I died some for me. But overall you would land on you know, Charlie in perfect But not as bad as some people try to pretend he is. Everything that unfolded there was like kind of, very much between them in a situation that they had to figure out amongst themselves. And I don't think it's really my place to like get involved in that, that makes sense. But they figured it out. So slowly, slowly. - Yeah, kind of like going into like the Bravo Con of it all. So obviously Riley, you and her had a conversation kind of talking about like friends versus acquaintances and stuff and I was just wondering like where like you think you are with the people on your cast now if you would consider them or like friends or acquaintances. - So I think that conversation and watching the show back like made me realize how I'm a little bit of a naive person. Like I just like I'm the type that like if I meet you and I like you like we're gonna hang out as much as possible. And people are not like that. People have their guards up. People really just are not really open to like exploring friendships like that, you know? So since filming, since we've had the season, a lot of my friends have gone a lot deeper in many different ways. And I have really close friends, I go you know Sarah praises all the time and I have her back as much as she needs. And we've been supporting each other in many ways for a long time now and she's wonderful. A couple other people on the cast too even I really close, Charlie and I really close. Even Liam and I have been like hanging out quite a bit. So definitely those acquaintances have turned into friends. Let's go. - Let's go. - Are you in Brooks cool? 'Cause y'all kind of got into it. But I felt more empathy for, you know, 'cause like being the lead on the bachelor, it's a nightmare juggling all these relationships. And I feel like a lot of the drama that Harry got in himself in or was a part of, he was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Like that scene between Juliana, that everyone's talking about, the whole like, I love you scene. - You think that was a rock and a hard place? That was crazy. - I was like, didn't wanna be mean to her, but she's like forcing him to say something. He clearly does not want to. - It was a forced, I love you. He's under the influence. He's, I think she was sober. He was drinking. I don't know how many times his mother fucker said no. But like, no means no. - No, I think he wanted to say, I think he wanted her to say, "I love you." I am so opposite of you guys that whole, that you're talking about the scene where they're in bed and he's like, you say it first. She's like, no, you say it. I want to be cognizant of like, I, he's literally doing the thing that we've criticized him so much is to try to at least be empathetic about the other people in the house. And she's like, kept, and he's like, no, no, no, no, no. And she kept crushing him. - And then in her interview after she's like, it took him 40 minutes to say, I love you, but he finally said it. I'm like, girl, if it takes him that long, maybe he doesn't mean it. - And then she goes and tells the rest of the women and causes some drama. - I agree. I agree with that part of it. I agree with hers, spinning it. I also agree. He probably didn't mean it if it took him 40 minutes to say it. But I genuinely felt like, I mean, he even admits it. He's like, she brings out this toxic side of me that's like, oh, I, he's like, I literally like want to love bum her and I want to be love bummed back. And he is like, he might be sitting there saying, don't say it, don't say it, but he's not just saying, no, don't say it, like this is serious. He's smirking and he's like-- - It's flirt. - Don't say it. - He is, he definitely enjoys the validation and the attention. - I think he's uncomfortable as shit because this girl is being like, I know that you love me. And I, honestly watching the show, my biggest takeaway is seeing Harry try to navigate that as opposed to being like fuck it. Like, you know, it's my show I get to do over the fuck I want. And again, like, you know, these are moments where like there, when a girl's trying to be flirty, your instinct is to be flirty back, you know? And if you're not flirty back, then you're called a dick. And like the, you know, like if a guy's not making the vibe feeling warm and welcome, then he's an asshole. And I feel like a lot of the flirty moment, like, yeah, he's a natural flirt, but I don't know how we can criticize like, if his biggest crime is he was flirting back and also looking uncomfortable while she for 40 minutes was pressuring him to say, I love you. I don't know how he's the bad guy in that scenario. - I would agree with you wholeheartedly if he didn't say it back. If he had sat there in flirty, lertally was like, don't say it, don't say it, whatever. - And they kind of like moved her out. Because you know, he knows how to do that. - Exactly. - No, but then he goes into his, his interview and he's like, I said it back because I responded with, that's a statement, that was crazy. You shouldn't have done that. And I felt so bad that that's how I responded to her saying, I love you, that I said it back. He said, I couldn't even get the full, I love you out before she was like, you just like, 'cause I love you. - How do we know that Harry can do that? How do we know that he's capable of having like direct and hard conversations? I feel like that's his biggest weakness. - I think that's not what Mary's saying. - The I love you wasn't out. - He can tip you around. - And it's like, as honestly like as someone that is also like not really good at having conversations, you get really good at like flirtally weaving your way out and out. It's pretty, it's actually pretty easy, especially, it's an art for him and you can take a tangent and run it anywhere to get away from what you actually need to be able to. - But just like watching the body language, like she was like pressing press, like she was like, you can say, I'll love you. And, like, I love how Paul handled it because he was like, I feel like I'm being emotionally manipulated, which is, like, she's in total that feeling. And, I love how he handled that because he's like, "Hey, there's accusations of emotional manipulation. Let's, let's start here." And, he just was, like, very calm. And, then, she's like, "Well, I, you know, he says this thing, and it makes me feel a certain way, and that feels manipulative." Which, I think, you know, is very relatable in a relationship where, like, our partner says something. It feels, like, I don't know, they have internal motives, or maybe we just don't buy it. It feels manipulative. And, the way Paul was, it's like, "Well, do you think he's trying to control you?" And, she was like, "No, I don't, you know, "when I think about it, I don't think that." And, then, he went and asked, "Felipe, like, are you trying to control her?" He's like, "No, absolutely not." And, then, he was just like, "See, like, just because you feel it, "doesn't mean that's what your partner is intending to." And, I feel like so many people in relationships need to hear that, because now all we're doing in relationships is accusing your partner of, like, all this crazy shit we're learning in therapy. And, it's just, like, it's so kind of productive. And, the way Dr. Paul handled that scene, I was like, "Oh, my God, like, I haven't heard of anyone, "which is crazy, like, you know, kind of take the piss "out of all these, like, online accusations, "because it's always like, you know, someone's like, "I'm talking head talking about the relationship." And, then, he emotionally manipulated me. And, everyone's like, "Oh, my God, he's emotional manipulator." Like, what a horrible person. And, it's like, no one ever asked if, like, you know, maybe they just weren't on the same page. - I think that was handled very well and professionally. I was like, "Okay, we need more of this." - I guess I was like, "When you need more of this, Dr. Paul?" - When people communicate nowadays, we'll say things like, "I feel like you are this when they're saying, like, I think." But, because they say, "Feel it's like, "now I have to validate your feelings and your emotions." Like, the thought is wrong, actually. So, it's like, "How do I validate your feelings "and how you're feeling?" But, like, you're actually misinterpreting the situation. It's a tricky-- - That's interesting.
