Dynasty Film Deep Dive + How Good is Bryce Young? - Dynasty Fantasy Football

The podcast explores fantasy football strategy through a deep dive into player performance and trade dynamics, centered on the recent rise of Bryce Young’s success against the Falcons. The hosts analyze how such performance patterns impact fantasy value and decision-making, particularly in Dynasty leagues where long-term asset development matters most. They emphasize caution when trading young players who may be underperforming early in the season, noting that short-term dips don’t always reflect long-term potential. Key players like Dalton Concate, Parker Washington, and Denzel Boston are evaluated for their upside, injury risks, and team fit. The discussion highlights the importance of film study and context—such as offensive schemes and quarterback chemistry—in assessing true value. A recurring theme is the need to balance immediate performance with future growth, especially with players like Denzel Boston showing early promise despite limited sample size. The hosts also critique inefficient offensive systems, like the Buccaneers’ lack of personnel diversity, and stress that poor game plans can undermine even talented players. Ultimately, the episode concludes with a clear stance: in Dynasty leagues, holding onto high-potential assets with uncertain futures—like rookie wide receivers or young quarterbacks—can yield better long-term returns than trading them for short-term gains. The takeaway is a cautious, data-informed approach to player evaluation and trade decisions, rooted in both performance and projected development.

[music] Welcome to the Fantasy Footballer's Dynasty Podcast with Borg Betts and a Baller. [music] Welcome in. [music] It's week three here. Fantasy Footballers Dynasty Podcast, Borg Betts and Jason. Two of us are dressed to impress today. We've got the colored shirts on. We're here. We're professional. Ready to talk to the football and Kyle. Just a slab in his mama's basement rolls out. Cheetos, Oliver's fingers, energy drinks everywhere. This guy hasn't seen some like days. There's a lot to go. We're ready to go. Touch some grass on a golf course looking fancy. I mean, I can't see, but I know you're tucked in belt on. Oh, yeah, buddy. Looking fine. Kyle is just, I'm just happy you found a shirt to wear today. Thank God. Right out of the corner. You know, that kind of stuff could work. I thought about this, Jason. I used to work there in the studio. I used to be a dooser. I don't like getting pushed around. I'll just say that. Oh, I know. Yeah. I'll push back. At the beginning of this podcast, I'm here trying to captain this ship. I'm trying to get us going. And you just throw me on the table because I'm wearing a brave shirt, I guess. And you guys-- Now, please understand what just happened. Betts through you under the table. And I did what you're supposed to do. I guess, and I played along. I added coal on the fire. Also, he's looking great. I'm looking great. And look at you. So I mean, you know, it's not my fault. And these are not my fault. These are just facts. This is not my fault. See, I don't like to give people the satisfaction of their stuff. I just kind of like to move forward. And yeah, I'll let that lie there, Betts, at the beginning of this podcast. Okay. I will run over you on a short bus later. Okay. Yeah. Can't wait for that. I will drive that thing. You know what? It might not last long. You'll be in the back. Because we are talking about Bryce Young today, who just made your falcons look embarrassing. Oh, my goodness, brother. Anyway, we'll get into it. Yeah. Well, here's the problem with that. Is that are they my falcons anymore? Can they hurt me? Yes. Yes. You love them. You love to brush. No, no, no. I can't say. Jason, I don't know if you saw the statistic. But I looked at the last three games that Bryce Young. This is how I cope, by the way. This is my little coping mechanism is. Check out the stats. But the last three games that Bryce Young has had against the falcons in Atlanta. Okay. If you were to like take those and just kind of extrapolate them, which I know. Can I, can I, can I guess? Because I don't know the numbers at all. Okay. Can I guess that they're pretty bad? I get a Bryce Young against the Falcons. Yeah. No, no, they're, they're all they're actually good. I mean, put it this way. If you were to take those last three games with Dave Canales in Atlanta, they would be. They would be five thousand five hundred eighty seven passing yards. Oh, I guess the wrong. And 51 passing touchdowns. So I was taking the what's known as the field. When you have a player who has like about 90% of his games being poor. Probably 95% of his games being poor as far as counting stats. You know, I think he had three games over 206 passing yards last year. So my, the odds were really good that they would be bad against one team, but it looks like. So you're telling me all of his good performances have basically come against the Falcons. Yes. And in Atlanta, like those are the ones that, I mean, you walk into where say he's been. And apparently he is just. So nobody doesn't played, he hasn't played three games with Canalis in Atlanta, right? Yes, yes. This is his third year. So this will be his third game. Yeah, he just had it and he just crushed it. Oh, oh, yeah. Yes. Okay. Third year. Wow. Canalis job security. Do you think something to get? Is it like Revenge against, I mean, he's a Bama guy, right? Bryce is like, he hates Georgia. I mean, what is it about playing in Atlanta that he just, he crushes? It's ineptitude. It's being not serious. Unserious. That's really the common word we've used over the years. It's just an unserious, billion dollar organization across the board. I have a couple of those. So Bryce Young is one of our topics today because we're doing a film deep dive where we looked at a couple of different players. Normally, we start the show with a weekly rewind. I thought for week three, we would just really, you know, grind the tape, talk about every single thing that happened on film and some interesting situations. So we're going to go through some of that usage today. If you want to get in on the community, join the foo.com, our ultimate dashboard, our premium season tools, we are upgrading stuff all the time. Our dev team is hard at work doing stuff. And you also get a bonus weekly episode every single week, all year long, the footcast, which I kind of love that out of all the shows we do, and Jason can probably echo this. The footcast is the one place where you get to let your hair down. Yeah. It's honest to goodness. It's my favorite episode to record every single week by far because you really do let your hair down. You kick your feet up. You're taking questions from the foot clan and it's just, it's just such a relaxed, fun show. Yeah. All right. So you can get in all your questions there. Join the foo.com, all the rankings are start, sit, tool, fitness footballers.com. I do have a quick question for us from our discord, which if you are a member, you get access to our Dynasty channels or Dynasty super flex channels where people are popping off all the time. So from Big Amon's 4289, and it's a trade question. I think it's really important at this point of the season that we talk through some of the stuff. So he asked, how do you maneuver in trade talks when your ligmates weigh the beginning of the season so much, even in a Dynasty league? So his following question is, if I can't get fair value, despite being a contender, should I just hold these players who are underperforming? So I think to zoom out first, like in a Dynasty, we're looking long term. But if you have young assets who are valuable or at least we think are valuable and they're not performing, like what do you do with them at this point of the season? I am usually at this point, and I, I mean, that very specifically, I mean like between weeks, two and three, we've got two games. As soon as you're two games in, people think everything's been confirmed. Everything has been confirmed because week one, oh, I know not to overreact. Two weeks, it's a done deal, baby, and that is just totally 100% not the truth at all. You have two good matchups in a row or just two good games and then based on that, when I have players that are underperforming, and I think this is kind of, I'm painting with a really broad brush. There's obviously, you got to take everybody player by player, look at the situations and dive deep, but with that broad brush, what I would say is I do not ever look to trade away players that I think are good who are underperforming, but I would always or almost always try to kick the tires. If I've got players that two weeks in, they look like, oh, hot dog, he is him. I'm always willing to try to trade him to someone that will pay the confirmation of he is that guy. And I've got to list the names here that I think, and I'm going to put these names to you guys. And here's my thinking, if you can get a value that is very high, you know, for what the player might be and might we might have already genuinely, we might have seen confirmation from this that these guys are that dude, but also, they might not be. You might have just hit a two game stretch where you can capitalize. So you tell me if you think it's worth trying to trade him for high value or no way your hold on. Jalen Coker. I think the overall outcome will come down because Bryce is sun running right now, but I buy that he is a talented player who got paid by the team and is foreshore a top two option in the office. I know people wanted to be like, he's better than that. You know, after one, we get one game, but I won't buy that. So I see long term for him like rest of season, I would say he's a solid wide receiver three slash flex. Did you get a late 2027 first for him? If I could, if I could, I would, that's the type of thing that if I had Jalen Coker, I'm going to shop him around the entire, I'm going to go to every single team in the league. And I'm going to just ask for your 27 first. And I should get 11 rejections. But I might not. And it only takes one person to be like, yeah, that guy is, he's young. He's paid. Bryce young looks like the real deal, but like you just said, he just got off playing Atlanta that week one insane game against the Bears, where no defense was played on both sides of the ball was great. So I would, I would add Bryce Young to that mix as well. If you're in a two QB league where quarterbacks carry their weight in gold. He's a young former 101 that is, you know, now looking like he's got it together. How about Isaiah likely two weeks in? Young new contract appears to be a heavily involved piece of the offense. It's it's tough because there's a stomach punch that just happened, right, with with dark injury. Yeah. But if you're just like, Hey, look at the target share for this dude so far through two weeks. And then you compare them to all these other options that tied in like it can still work. It's just like the value just had a little bit of the air taken out. Okay. I've got, I've got three harder names now and we'll wrap it up with these three because I think these three. It feels a little bit more difficult to trade them away. And obviously that means that you're going to hopefully get a haul for them, but we'll start, we'll start with the easiest one here, don't can cade. Two weeks in, looks like what he was supposed to look like when they drafted him. What a lot of offseason hype for the last two years of predicted, super involved leading the team in yardage, leading the team, I believe in probably targets and receptions. Or if not, he's right there for Josh Allen at a premium position. Would you trade, would you look to trade away, Dalton can cade? I personally would not. And I want to kind of be careful with high frame this because any player in any league to me is tradable. If the right offer comes along, but how about a 27 first, just like poker? I would probably do that. I think it would have to be a projected mid first. I don't want to throw a dart on the late 27 first because with concade, I've always been a huge fan of him. The problem has been, he's been banged up and he's been a part time player and it's been a very run heavy offense historically under Joe Brady. But now that Sean McDerman has gone, they are actually one of the more throw heavy teams in the NFL. And if that continues, that can help mask some of the potentially efficiency declines that naturally from a regression standpoint, probably happened to concade over the course of the next month or so because he's just, he's been great. But I just think finding that player at tight end is so valuable for your lineup. And if you think concade can kind of level up and to be a consistent top five option, which I think he could be, then having that advantage is huge in dynasty. But at the same time, you could say, look, it's a small sample size, he's been banged up a lot in his career. We see these guys all the time. I totally get that argument. For me, it has to be a mid first. I wouldn't do it for a late first. Yeah. I would try to capitalize personally. I just, and you know, I love concade. Yeah, I know. I just don't think that if you're a contender, I can't see myself doing it when I look at the other options across the board at tight end and go, okay, who else, who else do I have in my roster if you're a contender to trade him away, you're not going to be able to mid it. And then on top of that, like right now, just across the board, I actually think his value could even increase even more over the next coming weeks. And like, I mean, people are relying on likely, okay, who we would say the value just went down. Joanne Johnson, Darren Waller, like, like middling options where we really think that concade, apart from injury, could be a top three tight end, like legitimately in a full PPR, he could be a top three. Absolutely. Absolutely. He could be. And, and, and, and leagues because of what you're saying right now, like there's just not that many other options. There's not a bunch of other great tight ends. And the truth is, at the end of every single year, there's still not. And at the end of this year, there still won't be until next August, when we convince ourselves that, yeah, when we convince ourselves this year, this is why I think you can get a really good, obviously, if you're a contender who, you know, try to, try to win a championship. Now, if you're a, a, a middling team or you've got another option, I feel like you can get a mid round 27 first, maybe even, you know, if, if you're trading him to someone who feels like they're a tight end away and they don't have anybody, but they've got a great roster, you know, you could definitely get that person's first. And, you know, could you imagine getting a 27 first six months ago for Dalton concade? And, you know, it's like one of those things where, hey, if Dalton concade hits, okay, it's probably a fair trade for a first, but if he regresses to what he's been for his entire career, now it's like, oh, remember when concade had two great weeks back to back? And then I got, I got this player, you know, and you name that player that you drafted and you go loser, that's, that's, that's kind of how I see it. And the last name, I know we're on the topic for a while here, but what would you do with Parker Washington? I knew that was the name, yeah, because that dude has shown, he is him. I mean, he looks so good. He is the first read. He's soaking up target share. I mean, you know, he should be the next Jerry rice, right? I, what's so funny is, is I knew I thought that was be the name and then I was thinking, okay, so right now he's performing for a team. And then there are these other stud wide receiver ones that are young, that are, that are not playing well at all right now. I was thinking like Drake London. It's like, like obviously if I was a Drake London manager, I'd want Parker Washington and something else to help my team right now. But I also think Drake London's a way better long term asset. And that's the hard part is like, you can play for what this player is doing right now. And you are sacrificing the value because I don't know what Parker Washington is beyond this year. I mean, they don't have him signed. They'll probably get an extension because dear Lord, he's been, I think he's been target on 42% of his routes, like JSN level type stuff. So I'll probably give you some names in a second, but he's a very hard name, Betts. Now where did he go to college? Just keep going. Keep talking, dude. I was just curious if you guys remember what school he went to. Yeah, I mean, come on, we knew this was coming. He went to Penn State. So obviously he's going to be amazing in the NFL. No, obviously nobody saw this coming two, three years in of what happened, but I think he has one of the most valuable roles in today's NFL landscape for a wide receiver, meaning you can't just play outside. You can't just be a downfield guy in today's NFL with all the two high shells and take away the deep ball and all that. You have to have kind of a mix of the easier layup targets, plus some of these in breaking crossing routes that beat some coverage. He does that all the time and they are giving him a lot of the first read stuff and Brian Thomas Jr. is still in Inigma. Parker, excuse me, Breton Strange is fine. They have these other options. Travis Hunter is like a part-time player now on defense and a bit player on offense. Nobody even knows and I just like, we kind of make our excuses around players like this all the time where it's like, yeah, but, you know, yeah, but and it's like, well, he just is the offense. He is the focal point of the offense. So all that to say is he doesn't have a contract, right? So if he keeps playing this way, he will buy somebody in the league and he will get paid a lot of money. I think the Jags not signing him, they probably regret it at this point, but it tells you at least a little bit about like, there's a mismatch in their view of him and his view of what he deserves. So that always makes you really nervous in dynasty when it's like, this guy's been so good for you and you still didn't sign him before the season started. What if he gets injured, right? Then it's all out the window. So there's a massive range of outcomes, good and bad on Parker Washington. For me personally, I think you could, I was going to say, I have him in a league and I can't imagine never making this trade, but I may have acquired him along with Mike Evans, Terrence Ferguson in a second for Asia Brown in a league that maybe we played together. I don't know. I can't remember exactly Matt Josh. I'm sorry. You're doing a lot of fart sniffing so far, buddy. I like it. I like it. That's you and you have him in that capacity, like, and you made a move for him. I'm holding him because obviously you believe in him, but if you just like got him off the way of wire last year and you want to cash in right now, I'm totally cool with that. Like two weeks in, I think you could trade him straight up for George Pickens, and that manager is going to go, oh, yeah, this guy's, you know, my guy's been stinking. I feel like I'd rather have George Pickens, a guy who's been a wide receiver one in fantasy. I don't know. Last year, I also think you brought up Drake London, I think you could put Parker Washington in a trade with, you know, some other pretty unimportant pieces and turn it into a Drake London. You could maybe look at Mecca Buka. I mean, who would you rather have? Like, if it was a startup, Mecca Buka or Parker Washington, because right now two weeks in, it's really hard to say a Mecca Buka. Yeah, I would have a Buka. But it's probably a Mecca Buka, yeah. So that's, that's where it's like, when you're two weeks in, you've got to take the, longer-term view, the more context, the draft capital talent, everything, not just the performance of two weeks. Right. The player that was right next to him in some rankings was Karnel Tate, who, yeah, uh-huh, who like, oh man, like I can't abandon stuff. I'm not doing that. But that is like the long-term approach. Like, if you are a contender and let's say you somehow have Karnel Tate or Jordan Tyson on your Austria, like, this is not helping me right now. I'm in wind now mode. I want to figure out a way to get a player that can help my roster. Like, that's the, the tension that I think people feel right now. Look, another name, Luther Burton or Parker Washington, before the season, that would have been insane to bring up. Yeah. Yeah. I won't park it. But I mean, of course Parker in that situation, but then I was, I was more anti-burden of us beforehand. All right. Yeah. It's interesting. Quick break. We'll be right back. We're back. And really, I feel like most of this episode so far has turned into bets, bodying, our producers, bodying, our staff, just any chance he gets behind the scenes, just to remind them. Our host? Yeah. Well, I, what is this? I'm in a mood today, boys. Sometimes you just wake up and want to burn things down. Yeah. Yeah. You know, I'm not in a good mood. Kyle knows. Jason, we took the box and survivor this week and they just. I hate that. I hate that. They just launched to the Sean Watson, who's literally about to be out of the NFL in three months. It was the second year in a row that the Buccaneers took us out in our survivor pool. So maybe, maybe that's part of it. This is how I cope. Yeah. And it's a great segue for what we're about to do. Weekly rewind. Every week we usually start the episode rewind in the film watching a tape on a specific player situation. And this week, I thought we would just extend it. And that would be the main part of our show. And I decided to watch the Buccaneers offense. So can you guys fill in the gaps for me because there was the game. There is the waiting around for our fantasy apps to restart and reboot from that game. Not moving forward. And then there's just two minutes. And I rewatched that two minutes, guys, of like, okay, the Buccaneers, they're right there. They're about to score. Did you guys feel like they almost had like too much time, too many timeouts, too many things to think about for however long. And then it was all too easy. No, I think that they just were stupid to genuinely, I think, and Baker said as much after the game. He's like, I shouldn't have been throwing it deep every play with this wet ball in these conditions. It is, it's, it really is dumb founding that you, and we can't put ourselves really in that position. When you've been playing football for hours and then you get a two hour weather break where you go into the locker room and you cool down and you're, you know, are you really gathering around and, and, and using every second to game plan, I don't know what they're doing in there. Are they playing checkers? But it did feel like you come out and you should have had a plan of attack and it seemed like they came out and played street ball and Baker just tried to chuck it a few times. And then it didn't work and the game was over. Yep. It, I feel like the game plan was, so Zach Robinson's the play caller. You speak with Atlanta. He was with the Rams for a while. I feel like his, his play call, or at least the, the book that he opened was, let's take with the Rams did like four or five years ago and just like only do 11 personnel and try to figure it out. In fact, they did not take a single snap with multiple tight ends on the field other than field goals. The entire game, so there's no 12 personnel, no 13 personnel, that occurred just one time all of last year was the chargers. And so you look at the game plan and it was like, okay, Ted Hurst, he's involved. He actually had some plays that you were like kind of encouraged by what he was doing. But overall, it was like let Baker win this for us. And let's just run 11 personnel nonstop. Now where is the NFL trended over the last year or so for teams as a whole guys? Where's that gone? As far as personnel. Yeah. Yeah, heavier sets, more tight ends, exact opposite of what Zach Robinson's doing. Exactly. Zach Robinson was like, Hey, I'm going to let Baker be the one to win this for us. And he tried a couple different spots. He tried in the first quarter to let us lose it for us. I guess, I guess that's what they said in the locker room. Yeah. I don't know. I'm also bitter because our survivor team lost. But Baker over the last year, like if you're just looking at since the buy, and I know he was banged up last year in the second half, but it's been pretty rough. And the best part about Baker is when he plays hero ball. But I think the worst part about him is when he plays hero ball. And that's like a blessing in a curse for fantasy. So I want to ask you this question first before we talk about a little more film. Where would you put Baker in terms of being an NFL quarterback? So there's 32 teams where number wise, would you put him? And then fantasy wise, is he in a similar tier now? Because you used to always be fantasy wise, we know we can have a spike week. So where would you guys put him NFL quarterback wise, one to 32? One to 32. I think he would probably be around, and this can just be vibes. It doesn't have to be. Yeah, vibes. I think he's probably around quarterback 18. The number that made him into my head was 19, so yeah, maybe right there. I mean, I'm looking at, you know, an actual list. And I see a lot of guys I would take ahead of them. You know, you got your DAX and Brock Perties and that tier of guys that I think are better than Baker right now. And then you've got the questionable ones that say whether he's 15 or 19, which would be, you know, his Tyler Shuck done enough right now to be like, hey, he's younger. He should be ahead of him. Jordan Love, you know, is he in just in the exact same tier? Or is he just significantly better? We don't know what Fernando Mendoza is. Jared Goff. I mean, Jared Goff's very interesting because I think if you put Baker on the Lions, they might be better. I don't know if they are or not, but I do know that if you put Goff behind a bad offensive line, he is not good. They're just, they're very different quarterbacks. And so I'm like looking at Baker in the system and watching this game and trying to figure out like, because I didn't watch it live. And so I'm rewatching it. I'm like, how did this game get to the point where they scored nine points at halftime? Or there's a point of the third quarter was like, okay, they take the lead. This team is trending in the right direction to win. And I got to give the brown some credit because 65% of their defensive snaps were man coverage. That was the highest rate of any team so far this year, fourth highest of any team since the beginning of 2025. And last year, Baker was the worst quarterback in the NFL against man coverage. By far, the worst worse than Dylan Gabriel last year. So I guess they did some scouting and they looked at how bad Baker has been. And that's basically what he was on Sunday. He was pressured a ton. It was just like, I worry about this team because Mike Evans used to be the dude in man coverage that would just bully people, right? Like, okay, this dude and one-on-one coverage can do this. I don't think they have anyone right now who can do that. Well, I was going to ask you, do you know where Baker ranked in that same metric against man coverage two years ago because I hear what you're saying, but also if you remember last year with the Bucks, their wide receiver injuries were crazy. Tess Johnson was running meaningful routes for this team last year, Sterling Shepard, you know, running meaningful routes for this team because of the goblin, Mike Evans, even Ibuka banged up. Like, they really had a bunch of injuries last year. So is that a Baker stat last year that's carrying over or is that a, we didn't have wide receivers that couldn't beat man coverage last year? I mean, might not have them this year because there's potentially truth to both of those. I mean, if you're worse than Dylan Gabriel, that's a Baker stat, man. I've just, I mean, I'm looking up and down. It's a play calling, right? Like Josh Grzart is gone because of how he did. And I feel like with Zach Robinson, the usage for it and better yet. Yeah. Ted Hirston, interesting player. Like, I'm excited down the road, but I just feel like this team as a whole, like Bucky's the best part of the offense. I'll just say that. Like Bucky's the best part other than their kicker was the only other part of the offense that was good. Could this be an Ibuka problem? What do you mean? Could this be the Mecca Ibuka is not as good as they had hoped when they decide to let Mike Evans. I mean, they didn't really decide to let him go. Mike Evans chose. They made him a contract offer, but it seems like they are short and alpha. Yes. And they shouldn't be short and alpha if they have one in a Mecca Ibuka. And so the question is just like, is he going to step up into that or not? He always kind of reminded me of a, kind of a, a heavier crystal lava, like just a really, really solid wide receiver just just like, you know, he doesn't quite have the speed and jitteryness. But when I look at what makes both of those guys really good, it's just that they are like quality wide receivers, great route runners, great hands, although Ibuka now is trying to make that look questionable. And historically, incredible catching ability. And so, but it, you know, a lot of a, maybe he took some time, but he seems like he is, he is an alpha. He is a one. He is dominating on the field right now. Did last year, I just, and we're not seeing that from Ibuka. Betts, do you think he can be a number one? And we use that term, like loosely of like, they operate this way in terms of target share. Like, he's going to do that this year. But like, does he feel like a one for an NFL team? And then for fantasy, he definitely doesn't feel like a one for my team. Yeah, not right now, at least for fantasy, I think you can get there as being that number one kind of dominant player. I will say the only thing on him is a kind of agree with, with Jason and some aspects on when he came out of Ohio State, if you guys would call our conversations when he came out, a lot of folks kind of had the same similar opinion, we're like, this is a rock solid NFL receiver. He will be very good in the league. But you question, does he have that kind of extra special gear they can get to to be this like amazing outlier player? And that was the concern coming out of Ohio State. And you're seeing it now in the NFL where it's like, yeah, he has moments, but like, they aren't building the game plan around him and force feeding him the ball and building the offense around him. And when I think about a water seaver one, that's what I'm doing, you know, for certain players and certain teams. So, could you get there? Yeah. I mean, players take time to develop. It takes time to get build chemistry, especially with a brand new system again. So I don't want to say like the ceiling is closed on a book. Obviously, it's very young in his career and he played through injury last year. But yeah, I mean, it's been a while since we've seen that early start to like weeks one through what, five or six before things fell off. long time. What's wild about last year if you don't remember? So, you know, weeks one through five, he was alpha, I mean, in week five, he was the wide receiver one in fantasy seven for 163 and one. He fell off on the second half of the year, but what you might not remember is, you know, coming out of the buy for the rest of the season, while he basically sucked and did nothing, 13 targets, nine targets, eight targets, eight targets, nine targets, seven, like he was, he was getting all the, you know, that he was the offense and it wasn't working. Now so far, I think the first two weeks of six targets and five targets, so I want those target numbers to go up and him to be an alpha. I don't, I mean, this is a film study, right? We're in a segment where you watch the film, you study the film. Do we throw it away because of the weather? I mean, obviously, Doshan Watson was able to connect on passes or, or is this look like something we should be worried about the bucks offense going forward? I'm just worried about the personnel and then the route combinations of like what players were doing. Like, here's what Godwin's role is, here's what Hurst role is, like Buka, and then here's Otton. When you're like, it's just shocking to me that you're not running a single play with. Have you said when that Bucky, I think and running the ball with Bucky is so awesome. So that's why I was joking. This feels like a Rams team from four or five years ago that used to run that system. And I just think the NFL is morphed and changed where I do worry about this team. And even in week one against the Bengals, like they struggled in a lot of different areas. So I, I think I can move a spine and rock saw it. I don't see the ceiling of him being a number one, like the way that I want my number one wide receiver. And I just think Baker, his worst moments are dreadful because he's basically trying to be the dude to take over the game. Yeah, he's doing too much. Very into the game. And that final drive, it was third down and he tried to do it. And then he missed a book on that fourth down throw. But I mean, that's gonna happen. That's gonna be the result some games. But I just think at the end of the day, like the game plan after the long delay is like, I just don't see this working out. Yeah, Baker's highs and his lows are all because of his special sauce, which is when he can extend the play and kind of create and scramble and play with his hair on fire, like it's awesome when it hits. But then there's disaster when those lows happen and it's all connected. That's what you have to live with that with Baker, right? Whether it's NFL or fantasy, you know those, those highs are there. The lows are there too. Do you want to just stick in the same game with Denzel Boston? Because I was going to talk about him rookie wide receivers since 2000. Kyle, you may have been surprised to know this with 90 plus percent of the snaps and a receiving touchdown, each of their first two NFL games, a macabooka and Denzel Boston. Kyle, this is a stat, beautiful transition for what we're doing here. So in the same game, I watched Denzel Boston. And you know, a lot of his damage was done on that kind of, I don't want to say brook and play, but he broke a couple tackles poor tackling from Tampa and ripped off a huge run after the catch for a touchdown. But what I most encourage about watching him is because when he came out, I had some concerns that who be type casting NFL is like a traditional extraciever, and you're going to run that in the field. And we're going to hope to get some contestants out of you. And maybe you develop over time. But actually, I'm kind of encouraged in the first couple of games. And obviously it's only a small sample. His route tree is actually really, really nice. It's pretty diverse of doing different things. There are some downfield targets, especially on the sideline. He almost came up with a second touchdown in this game, just barely dropped it on the sideline. But he's running some outs, some ins like over the middle of the field and going back to Washington. I remember watching him as a prospect. And I'll admit, I did have some bias going because it's like a big body extraciever. This doesn't work in today's NFL. And so when I first watched him, I was like, okay, I know what this is going to be. And then I went back and watched him again like two weeks later. And I remember talking about this on the show. I was like, huh, if you kind of like keep watching, he grows on you a little bit because they did move him in the slot a little bit. They would get him on some of those easier kind of, you know, shorter area routes and let him run after the catch. They even had him at Washington returning puns, which is crazy for a huge dude like that. So he does move in a way where he's not just this kind of stick him on the boundary and say, good luck. Go win. And early on, again, it's only two games with Todd Monkin is actually getting him the ball in some creative ways. So I'm actually pretty encouraged about Denzel Boston. I don't know that the current output for fantasy is sustainable because obviously there was that long touchdown in the first game. And then there was kind of the broken play tackle, you know, yards of the catch in this one. But just like for what you're seeing from a routery perspective, and he's winning on these routes, by the way, I'm pretty encouraged by Denzel Boston. So I think if you're a Browns fan or if you've got Denzel Boston and dynasty, like, you're, I think you're sitting pretty right now. I think all of us had the same feeling when we did the scouting process of like, oh, I think I know what this player is going to be. And then we stayed in it. And I remember Mike even having that same conversation like, man, there's more to this player than we think he's a tough blocker. And I feel like Todd Monkin, like watching that game is really just trying out a bunch of stuff like the first quarter was like all kind of gadgety Casey conception on plays. They're mixing in Raheem Sanders, who I don't think any of us had on any dynasty roster on the planet. And all of a sudden, like, oh, they're mixing in this guy. They're using them in past catching situations. So I don't really know what the offense is. And I think we assume it will change eventually when Watson is not the quarterback. But I'm going to ask this question. And I didn't think I would ask it this quick. Which form or Washington wide receiver would you rather have in dynasty? Roma doons. Hey, or Denzel Boston. Don't Kyle. Don't. Don't do this. I've got my answer. Okay. My my answer is Rome. I think my answer is Rome as well. So this is a perfect example of are we overreacting? I mean, you can make the argument. Sometimes you need to react quickly. When you see something that is you're saying, Oh, Denzel Boston looks the part. He is able to, you know, because one of the issues I had bets looking at Denzel Boston's tape. He was so good around the goal line. He had some games. I felt like he was kind of hot and cold. Some games he just really dominated the way he dominated with some of that physicality. He appeared to me in college. And I don't I don't remember his weight in college. Just film wise, he looked like he wasn't that thick. And I wasn't sure if how he played ball would translate to the NFL. Clearly after two weeks, it appears it does. He can break these tackles. He can he can mosa guy. That's that's all great. But at the same time, like he is a Cleveland Brown with no quarterbacks with a lot of target competition and a first round rookie wide receiver next to him and a really good tight end as well. And so he was another name. I stopped because, you know, we we had talked about it forever. But that was another name that was on my list of someone that I would be trying to potentially trade away in a dynasty league. High because I mean, if you're throwing on a name like Roma Dunes A and you know, and that's not to say that he couldn't be better than Roma Dunes A someday. But at the same time, you're talking about a second round rookie on a bad team with no quarterback future that you could potentially flip. If not straight away, it's not far from, you know, maybe add something worthless in to get a, you know, a top 10 NFL draft pick on one of the best offenses in the league when, when, you know, Caleb gets back and is healthy. That's the type of overreaction in a cup in the early season that I like to take advantage of. Yeah, I would take room. I would take room for that for sure. Just zooming out two weeks ago before the season starts. Denzel Boston went like 111 10 probably in most rookie drafts issue. You know, once we kind of got final landing spots, you were probably were doing that trade for Roma Dunes A in mostly. So I don't want to panic on the bears. Obviously, Caleb injury and they had a rain game and it's been frustrating start. But like, you know, we're still buying the bears offense with Ben Johnson. So I would definitely do that. I will say though, if you, like if you're a rebuilding team and, you know, you kind of just threw a dart on Boston your rookie draft, like my biggest takeaway here is like, I think he can play in the NFL. I don't know what this means for fantasy long term, but like the guy can play and he's going to have a role in their building the future around this whatever quarterback drops in here next year. They're clearly building getting pieces, fan in conceptio on Boston. Like, this is the offense moving forward. Juddkins. So it's kind of a matter of like test the trade market, see what you can get. But if you have the whole Boston, like, I'm happy to do that, you know, yeah, it's funny because within the rookie wide receivers, like not every league, but there are certainly leagues where the McCuylim and manager would flip them for Denzel Boston after two weeks. He's seen enough. Maybe even the car and I'll take manager who's like, dude, camwords not it. Tates not dominating the targets. Denzel Boston appears real. I'll take that that rookie wide receiver. And if I could do those transactions, I, I feel like that's just again, not to it's not a guarantee that those other two would be better. But if you bet on, you know, the draft capital, it usually ends up working out as a, you know, 60% plus hit rate. These these touchdowns are fun, right? It is last two weeks. They've been really fun for Boston. Yeah, those are not repeatable touchdowns. Yeah, those aren't, I mean, there was a 50 yard bomb touchdown and garbage time worthlessness in week one. And then week two, it was him. He broke the tackles and deserved it. But it was like one big broken. uh, you know, play that, that got another big touchdown. It was funny. When it happened, Mike was so upset. He's like, no, he was so upset that Denzel Boston was going to give Watson a good game again. He's like, you're barely watching out again. He's going to be the starter now. Uh, Jason, one of the names that you put down that you watched was another rookie widers here. Man, look at these segues today. Uh, is McIleman who was on the field for 65% of snaps is what the report said. And then I watched the film and it was just a little different. You watched the film and what was different that it says he was on the field for 65% of snaps. It didn't feel like 65% of snaps. I mean, if you watch the film and you watch every snap that he's out there for, you saw a lot of snaps. Absolutely it felt like that. It really did. It took me a while to watch it. No, I mean like his involvement. Yeah, if you just watch his targets, that's a short watch. That is, uh, that's a turn that tape on and you're done. Um, but he did run, you know, 31 routes, uh, second most on the team behind Davante Smith. There was some good and some bad. Um, the good is he was involved. He was on the field. He was running routes and what I loved, what I absolutely adored on film. He was used all over. He was used short. He was used intermediate. He was used long. I saw him go deep. I saw him use the middle of the field. I saw him leak out on screens. Never went to him. Never looked his way. There were plays too where it was like, um, I, I remember once I, I paused the film and I just show Andy it was a, I think pretty snap. He had decided to go down the, you know, down the left side to Davante Smith. Um, and so he, he being Jalen Hertz snapped the ball, dropped back and then rifled where he knew he was going and that pass was poor and picked off. But I paused it because right. I mean, right when he's about to let go of this ball, he's got two dudes wide open right in the middle of the field in front of him in layers. One of which was McKay lemon. Um, McKay got open. He, he, he did not look bad to me on routes, on involvement on blocking when asked to block. Um, he, to me, this is a question of Jalen Hertz. Like watching the film from McKay lemon. I was like, you know, I've, I've been a lifelong Jalen Hertz truth or supporter when he's coming out of Alabama. I was like, what? This guy's not getting enough credit when he came out to the NFL. I was like, this guy's not getting enough credit. He can't throw the ball and he's a great athlete. Obviously he's won a Super Bowl. He's been to the Super Bowl multiple times. Still doesn't get credit. But I think his weaknesses are really starting to rear their head. Um, without AJ Brown to kind of bail out some of these deep shots. Um, and not that Devonta Smith isn't great. I mean, he was awesome this last week. Uh, man, there, there's just a disconnect when it comes to seeing the field and reading the field and, and, and going through every progression. So I do worry a little bit of like, will Jalen Hertz make his way to McKay lemon? And how long will it take until that happens? But at the same, you know, because Wix was really involved. Um, you had Cooper. Uh, everyone knows him. Uh, you know, making important plays last week for the Eagles. I am definitely not out on McKay lemon or off of McKay lemon after watching the film. Uh, I like everybody have, you know, some breath holding worries of like, is this because when he was drafted, there was a lot made of like, the areas of the field that he is best at are where Jalen Hertz historically just doesn't throw the ball to. And it's, you know, I dismissed that because it was like, Cam Newton never checked it down until he got Christian McCaffrey and then lo and behold, it's like, Oh, I check it down all the time now because he had a player that owned that area of the field. And so, uh, but watching watching the tape this last week against Tennessee, there were plenty of opportunities where he could have, um, he could have hit McKay if he looked his way and he just didn't. So I, I think leaving that, I came away, if I had to say, I came away more bullish on McKay, then bearish based on the film despite the stats. Yeah. Obviously the stats say that it was terrible and he's no good. Very bad. But the film was actually okay. And then, and let me tell you, this dude was doing what NFL wide receivers are supposed to do on every route. Because I been watching a lot of Marvin Harris Jr. And it is disgusting how little energy effort, care, NFL crispness, drop in weight, cut and changing directions. I mean, Marvin Harrison looks like a human that has given up on about 80% of all plays on the field. McCuy lemon was max effort all the time. And, and so I'm, I'm still in. He had the tackle when they almost had the pick six. Yeah. The last thing I'll add on lemon because I agree with a lot of your points, Jason, was there were some questioning can this guy win in the NFL in the middle of the field because he's a little undersized his only catch was in the middle of the field. It was actually behind him. Perth kind of didn't put a good ball on him. But he just takes a huge hit as soon as he, you know, has the catch and holds on. It's like, it was super early in the game. I'm like, here we go. Here we go, baby. I think it was this is McCuy's time. I think it was a key third down if I don't recall or maybe second and long or something. But like, yeah, I mean, I think I'll agree. He can play. It's just we got to give it time here. And we'll see, and Wix is doing no favors because Wix is playing well. You know, it's like Wix was dropping balls and playing terribly. They like have to force lemon in there, but Wix is holding his own. Yeah, I do think that they will get lemon and lemon. I believe is too good to to be untargeted. He was basically 50 50 in terms of slot wide. There's one play where he was in the back field. And that was the one where he was also wide open. Smith got the first down, but there's another play where he's all by himself. And yeah, and hurts apparently doesn't care. Apparently they don't care about rookies, stowers, lemon. That right now they're just don't have eyes for them. Feels like they could use starrers right about now. We have Zach Erts Zach Erts is here to save the day. What is that like to your rush to your your dynasty waivers immediately? What is that like? He's on the practice squad. This guy who's obviously a legend for the team. Everybody knows him. This isn't just some random practice squad guy. Like, and I'm sure Erts is a good dude, but like, there's a different feel in the air when Zach Erts is on the practice squad. And obviously, going to get elevated. He might be playing the Sunday, man. He should probably. It's funny. I are Monday. I have just I have just when I say rush to your dynasty waiver wires for Zach Erts, because truly, probably half of the leagues or half of the teams out there could use Zach Erts on them. You know, the tight ends are a wasteland. And you know, you've seen how much Dallas Goddard's been involved. And you know, Zach Erts is going to get, you know, targets. You know, it's going to happen. If Zach Erts has more targets Monday night, the macaque lemon. Oh, he will. Oh my gosh. We will know what to think. And he should be available on 100% of waivers. That is not normal for dynasty. I will pick up his player and they will see five targets. Anyway, let's take a quick break. We'll be right back. We're going to talk through a couple more teams where we watch the film. I watched the Colts game against the chiefs, which is really entertaining, by the way, that the first drive, by the way, from the Colts was awesome. Just like march down the field. And I just need to say, if people don't know this or maybe they don't care, Jonathan Taylor is really good at football. And I love watching him play. And the game plan this week was, uh, we're going to run the ball more. And they went in 12 personnel. I'm 41% of their snaps to the culture. Like a lot of Moe Ali Cox in there, Andrew Ogletree, like the big boys at time. I can't. I mean, there were the team was good. They scored on six of their nine real drive. One of them was the end of half. And the script plays the beginning was really, really good. So Jonathan Taylor is being used at a crazy rate. Like we're talking, we've been talking about Kenneth Walker and Bijan. But through two games, Jonathan Taylor has seen 45% and 47% of the Colts total rush attempts and targets. Like that is wild, wild usage. And so I want to put this question before I talk about the rest of the offense. Would you rather have, would you rather, Jeremiah love or Jonathan Taylor and dynasty? That's entirely dependent off your contender or not. No, that's what he said. He said, if you're a contender, listen to our host. I don't let someone call talks. I wouldn't recommend anybody else either. Um, I would have Jonathan Taylor. If I'm a contender, give me Jonathan Taylor. It's, it's, it's the question we came back to at the very beginning, which is, I know the future value of Jeremiah love. Okay. I know kind of what this Cardinal's team is, which we poop on Marv, but let's be honest, Jacobi Perset is kind of getting the past right now from the world. Nobody is making fun of Jacobi the way they are with Marv, but the like John Taylor just signed a contract extension. The age difference is six years. So I get it. But Jonathan Taylor is awesome. And he will help us. Like, do you want to win right now? They will score more have her on him back to like straight up. They do not have one currently. He will score more fantasy points than Jeremy. I love this year. And so if your contender, the better chance to win a championship would be Jonathan Taylor. That being said, I think that if you're a contender, you can win a championship with Jeremy. I love on the roster. I mean, unless he's your running back one, you're loaded everywhere else. You got no running backs. Okay, that's a place where you've got to have Jonathan Taylor. But if you're a contender because you're loaded and you've got a couple great backs and you swapped Jonathan Taylor to Jeremy. I love these, these rookie running backs are going to be better and better down the stretch, better come playoff weeks. You look at genty last year, massive bust of a season because of where he was drafted and redrapped year one. But he was so much better as the season went along second half of the year. I think that Tyler Algier gets less and less. Jeremy, I love gets more more. So come playoff weeks. I think the gap there, I doubt, you know, and not that you not that there's not a world where well, I would have won a championship with Jonathan Taylor. And I didn't with Jeremy. I love, but there is also the world where my team was good enough. I won the championship with either one of those guys. And now I've got six extra years of juice. It's not like you're going to a bad player. Right. And obviously, I think I'm on the, I think I'm on that side. And obviously, I think I'm on. It's team dependent. And if you drafted Jeremiah, one of one, your team probably stinks or at least was rebuilding at some level. I just, I'm looking at these players who we basically have back to back, right? Like Taylor's like right outside that young, like four pack of running backs. And then it's like, okay, Kenneth Walker, Taylor, H and and you're like, these guys are going to win people championships Walker and Taylor. And they're just a little bit older. My takeaway from watching the film is that Alec Pierce kind of matters. And when he wasn't on the field, this team's EPA per play dropped. And then the yards per carry dropped from 5.5 to three and a half when he was off the field. So that's going to like change the dynamics. When I watch, especially the fourth quarter, the chiefs were basically up at the line of scrimmage, like eight or nine guys in the box, just basically daring Daniel Jones. And somebody beat them deep, like Treadwell or somebody. I don't know. Treble Duke and he did. He can't say to be fair. He did beat them deep. Yeah, one time. But the rest of the offense, the way I described it was like, it just feels like a flag football offense of like Josh Downs, Tyler Warren. Like, hopefully you get him. Go, but I love Tyler Warren. He takes a little while. He's got it. He's been so disappointing. He takes a while to get up to steam, right? Like now when you get in his face, like he wants to punch you, but it's he's not going to run away from anybody. I want to see more from him. I mean, he's got to touch down both weeks. He's been good for fantasies. It's certainly not been by any means a bust. You know, he's been infinitely better than Colson Loveland. But when you watch a film, I'm like, he looks a shade more youthful TJ Hawkinson. And I want, like, way more than that. I want Trey McBride. Yes, exactly. I want him to be a shade less, you know, a powerful, Trey McBride. That's he's got a, I don't know. I don't know. Yeah. Did you see that on film? Oh, yeah. I mean, I love Tyler Warren. You know how much I've loved. Yeah. Well, we both are Tyler Warren. And that's, I don't know if you know about him where he went to school or anything, but Tyler Warren, where did he go? He's a good player. It does look a little slower, especially the ones were like underneath the formation. They get him going. And he's just getting tackled where he wasn't as much last year. Daniel Jones, in terms of completion percentage over expectation, the only ones worse so far have been Jordan Love, who completion percentage. He has a ton of drops and Cooper rush. Like, there's been some plays where you just kind of look up and go to the magic wasn't quite there. And Josh Downs was awesome in that game. By the way, like he's an important part of this offense. If you have Josh Downs, you're going to be good. But I just think of the end of the day. I'm worried about this offense and how it functions moving forward without a deep threat. Yeah, they need it. I mean, there's a reason they're talking about. Darius Slayton, baby. Problem solved. Deep threat acquires. There's a reason they paid out here is what they paid him, right? It's like because he, even if we debate it all off season, like does he get a better role? Does he not? Regardless, he is so important for what the culture doing from his ability to threaten deep. And without that, you saw it Sunday night. They can sit in the box, they can blitz Daniel Jones face off. And say, we dare you to beat us with these 5-yard 8-0 throws to Keaton Allen and Josh Downs and Tyler Warren. And like, it's functional. It's fine. But it's not taking this offense to the next level. And that is what made Jonathan Taylor unbelievable last year during that stretch of damage as healthy is the deep ball threat with Alec Pierce, where teams can't just sit in the box and defend Jonathan Taylor. So it's all related. It's all connected. I will say as you wrap up here on the Colts, they feel like one of those teams that you look forward in five or six weeks and things could look so different. I mean, they're own two. They talked about on the broadcast like everybody knows it in the building GM head coach. This is a maker break season. So if things go south over the next six, seven, eight weeks, I wouldn't be surprised if Shane say it can doesn't make it to the end of the season. So it's for sure. But it's just a volatile situation. They played so like they played so well, you have to give credit like your fence has been horrendous. Yes. Yeah, that's fair. But man, I to me from an ownership perspective, if I look at did my team, did my coach and staff that I control have a winning performance or not, it's absolutely they did. They they put together a winning game plan execution, all of that that doesn't always come up with the win. Right. You know, Sean McVeigh doesn't win every time Australia. And so yeah, it's hopefully they the ownership gives credit where credit is due. Not just on the wins and losses alone. I'm nine and eight eight nine eight nine so far that that's recipe that recipe to get fired though. Sadly, I think he's a good coach. You know how great those numbers sound for Cardinals fans. That's nine wins eight wins. That's it's incredible. Yeah, he might be a really good play collar and then there's there's other parts of being a head coach that are that are tough. But competitive game, I loved watching the game. And Kenan's done. I'll just need to say that. He's he's he's done. All right, let's give us. So Josh Downs is that Josh Downs is the takeaway. He's Josh Downs was really involved. Really important. It used to be third in Keenan was like what they would do and yeah, it's it's Downs. Betts give us a quick Bryce Young update. Love killed the Falcons. Yeah, it just unbelievable formats from the offense in general and the team in general. But I want to I want to talk about this in two lenses. The first is the positive of Holy crap. They are building the offense around Bryce Young, which I truthfully did not think was in the cards because, you know, looking at his game logs over the years, like if he puts up 225 passing yards in a game, you're thrilled. If you put some to 15, it's a good game. If you beat 200, okay, nice week, Bryce Young, you know, like they were clearly trying to hide him when he was struggling in the first couple of seasons. And at least to start the year, they are building the offense around Bryce Young, meaning they are up and pass rate their pass rate of expectation is way higher than it used to be. His average up the target. He's attacking down the field, which was not the case previously with Bryce Young. Last year, his eight out with 6.6 yards this year. It's at 9.6. He's got a 15 percent deep already compared to 7 percent last year. So something is different about the way the offense is constructed this year with Brad Idzick calling plays. But at the same time, it's not realistic for any quarterback in the NFL to average nine yards of pass attempts, right? Like even Josh Allen and my homes and the best in the league, they don't do this. So on one hand, I'm optimistic about Bryce Young. On the other hand, it's a small sample against the Bears and the Falcons, looking like two of the worst defenses in the NFL currently. So I'm excited to see what he does moving forward. I, you know, I'm not sure they get the browns, the lions and the biweek and the Eagles. So there's a couple of tough-ish matchups coming up here. We'll see what they do. But if you have them, like, you just had them on your bench as like a quarterback three and superflex being like, I guess I can plug them in on some start, down some lineups and hope for the best in the right matchup. And now I'm starting to get to a point where it's like if we get the right matchup and Tedrow Mcmillan is healthy and Jill and Coker is healthy, you can play him as a quarterback too and feel okay about it, which was not the case last year. Yeah, I, it's so funny. I was posting stats about Bryce Young, who in the past, it was always like you could post the worst stats and people were like, you know, this is what it is. It's the player. But him and Tyler Shuck right now in dynasty are kind of in the same tier. And I think I'd rather have Shuck. But yeah, I would, I get the argument of somebody who says like, I believe in what I'm seeing in Bryce. We'd rather Bryce or hilariously CJ Stroud, which has gone back and forth about five times. How funny. I don't know man. That is so tough. Honestly, I think CJ Stroud has looked pretty good to start this year as well. Yeah, he has. Man, Bryce has better weapons. So Bryce right here. Okay, so We're waiting on this contract extension, let's say that they, like, they're like three and two or something. Or like, there's a point in the season where you go, this team is leading the division, right? Because it's, it's obviously not going to be the Falcons, and right now it's not the Buccaneers. It's going to be the Saints and the Panthers in the mix. He could get an extension at some point. For sure, he could. I, I think, I, right now, I'm going to give it, they're basically identical to me. I mean, they're the same year, the same age, they're on similar enough teams in the sense that like you expect them to hopefully be above 500, obviously a better defense for the Texans, but that might be better for Bryce Young for fantasy. My edge will go to the running game. Bryce is more of a scrambler than Stroud. So I'll, I'd put Bryce just a hair ahead right now. Until your point on that, Jason, too, like his scrambling in these games has been really decisive. Like, I remember last year when he'd be under pressure, the puck collapses, he just collapses, and head drops down and it's the place over. But this year, like, he's keeping his head up, he's maneuvering really well, keeping his eyes down in the field, and there's opportunities to attack when he's under pressure or take off and scrambler did it for a touchdown recently. So it's, I mean, it's been a great first two games, but again, it is the Falcons, it is the Bears. I mean, he gets to play them again. Week 18 in your week 18 leagues, if you're into that kind of stuff. Going forward Cleveland, Detroit, biweek, Philly. I think you're going to get a couple more in here. I think you're going to get a couple more performances and then we'll see where it goes. Jason, why don't you finish this out with your boy, Jonah Coleman. Yeah, I had to go rewatch the tape on Jonah Coleman because I love them coming out, and then he fell to day three and was drafted as the running back three. So he was dead and then had great offseason reports and then good preseason and then RJ Harvey got injured. It was like, okay, this is the time to shine. And then he shines. He was awesome. He helped them win the game. He closed out the game. He was used as a veteran would be used. He made veteran plays like going down in bounds after picking up the first down to essentially seal the game as such an important play. And for all I know, they said that in the huddle. Make sure you do this and he just obeyed. Regardless, either he knew how to listen or he was even better than that, knew the situation and played situational football. He was awesome. However, I was really sad going back and watching because I did not realize how uninvolved he was until the JK Dobbins injury. I just saw the corpus of the game, his success. And I had in one league been forced to start him because it's an 18 teamer. And so I started him and then I was happy with the results. And going back and watching, it was like when Dobbins was healthy, it was Dobbins. I mean, he played very few snaps. You know, I was watching the broadcast replay of this and so it was like, okay, play one is like, oh, play the first quarter is almost over. What in the world? Jonah Coleman didn't get in until and then I was like, okay, whatever. And then it's like, play three. Well, what the second quarter is almost so what is happening here? And so I had to go look at the snap counts and it really was, you know, JK Dobbins got injured at the end of the third quarter. And once that happened, they did rely on Jonah Coleman and to success. But that was not their game plan without RJ Harvey. Their game plan without RJ Harvey was JK Dobbins's and then Jonah Bade. So I was a little bit sad with that. I'm hopeful. I'm very hopeful because what he did do was he was pretty mid on most plays. But he had enough big plays where, you know, the touchdown run that was critical. And I feel like he was special on it. The outside zone run to close out the game where he broke. That was all him. That was nice. You know, he beat he beat his guy to the edge and and, you know, basically sealed the game there. Pass protection. I saw three opportunities where he was clearly in need to be there and pass protect. Two of them he couldn't have failed more, which was very sad to see because that's one of those rookie keep you off the field. Things one of them. He was awesome. So it's like, you know, he'll get it. He'll figure it out. But yeah, I would say overall, he is who I thought he was. Very talented player. I hope he gets the opportunity. He played his way in the fourth quarter to hopefully get more opportunity. A lot of nice things set after the game from Peyton. They won the game. They went into the fourth quarter down. They left with the W and they did that with Jonah Coleman. So I'm really hopeful that this next week, like it, it's got to be now because I expect as of right now, I mean, I'm bet you maybe you have more insight. I think that Dobbins and RJ Harvey and Jonah Coleman are all active four week three. Do you think that that's probable TBD? I think I think Dobbins plays. I think Harvey is TBD. Okay. Regardless, if you're coming back off of injuries, even if all three are active, or especially maybe especially if it's two, will the game plan involve Jonah Coleman more when those other backs are active right away? And that will be telling to me. It's going to be tough because in read draft leagues, he feels like a name that people want to pick up and want to have in dynasty leagues. I think he just need to realize that Tyler Badez involved. And when Harvey's back, he'll be involved. And it's probably going to be what you said. It's going to be three or four dudes. And hopefully there's a point where Coleman can just talent wise jump forward, but it's probably not dynasty. He's he's a valuable backup. And that's all he is, but JK Dobbins is on a one year deal. RJ Harvey, despite being on his rookie contract, his oldest dirt and isn't that special so far in his early career. So I do think going into next year, this could be a team that every off season has been rumored with all the big boy at running backs, big boy draft picks, Breeze Hall, Christian McCaffrey, like they've been wanting to fix us. If they go into the off season and say, Jonah Coleman is going to be our running back, I wouldn't be surprised. And I'd be happy. It would be nice. Three red zone carries in the clock killing roles. It's not normal for your second game in the NFL for a date on a Sean Payton. Yeah. So that you can at least be encouraged on that regard. That's going to do it for this week's episode. We'll be back next week. Mike will be in the building talking all things dynasty. Make sure you head to join the foot.com. We'll see you next week. Summary:

FAQs

In dynasty leagues, it's generally best not to trade underperforming players who are still in your long-term plan. Instead, evaluate the player's potential and look for opportunities to trade for value, especially if there's confirmation of their upside. For example, players like Jalen Coker or Parker Washington might be worth trading for a high-value pick if the performance justifies it.

While Dalton Concate has injury history and been a part-time player, his value as a long-term tight end is significant. Most experts recommend holding onto him unless trading for a mid-first-round pick. His role in a run-heavy offense and potential to improve make him a valuable asset in dynasty leagues.

Parker Washington is a high-risk, high-reward player with no contract. His current performance is strong, but his future value is uncertain due to limited contract security. Managers must weigh the risk of injury or regression against the potential upside, especially if he's not signed by a team before the season.

Early performance can create false confidence or overreaction. Managers should look beyond short-term results and consider long-term potential, draft position, team needs, and player development. A two-week hot streak doesn't guarantee sustained success, so a balanced evaluation is crucial.

A quarterback’s ability to perform against man coverage is a key fantasy metric. For example, Baker Mayfield was historically weak against man coverage, which affects his fantasy value. Teams that adjust their defensive schemes may see a decline in quarterback performance, impacting fantasy projections.

Denzel Boston shows promise with strong route-running and ability to break tackles. While early performances include one-off touchdowns, his route tree and involvement in diverse schemes suggest long-term potential, especially in a team with target competition and a developing quarterback.
