DWTS Week 3 Deep Dive + We Went to the Verity Movie Premiere!

The podcast blends personal storytelling with social commentary, beginning with a discussion of the popular party game *Bar Soul*, where players navigate deception through secret roles. Hosts share vivid anecdotes about their recent move to Manhattan, detailing emotional highs and lows, including migraines, period-related stress, and the joy of new surroundings. The narrative shifts to a detailed exploration of the *Verity* movie premiere, where the hosts praise the film’s performances and atmosphere, particularly Anne Hathaway’s role. A central and powerful segment focuses on the Cornell 7 case, exposing widespread sexual misconduct, toxic Snapchat group messages, and the legal system’s failure to protect survivors. The hosts condemn the lack of accountability, especially regarding voluntary intoxication as a defense in sexual assault, calling it a moral and legal failure. They highlight the courage of student journalists who brought the case to light, sparking global awareness and demand for reform. The conversation concludes with a light-hearted pivot to *Dancing with the Stars* and promotional content for DraftKings and NoBull, offering a balanced mix of personal reflection, critical analysis, and entertainment. The overarching theme emphasizes empathy, the need for systemic change, and the importance of speaking up—especially for those silenced by power or prejudice.

Hi. Hey. It's been, oh, come back. Listen, me and you. It's been a while since being you sat down since last Monday. Just me and you. Yeah, just me and you last Monday. Then we went to dance with the stars. Right, right, right. Then Roblo. Then you were gone. Then Justin. Then we had Justin. Then Gian Monday. Yes. And now me and you were here. It's been too long, babe. It has. Too long. Too long. How are you doing? I have legitimately the worst. I mean, we were together last night. Yeah. I have had the worst migraine for the past two days. So if I look like I am my eyes, or swollen, or whatever, that's the reason I have the worst migraine. I got like a sympathy migraine from your migraine. I don't know what happened. Like, that's not something that should pass forward. But after the movie, I was like, wait, now my head hurts. It just, I think it just happens because there's a couple factors. Yeah. Got my period on Sunday morning, bad. Yeah. Okay. There was a full moon Saturday night. I'm just throwing that in there because like if you get your period with the full moon, it's like a whole thing. Is that a thing? Yeah. So got my period was moving on Monday. So that made me extremely emotional, obviously, the period with the moving, cried my eyes out all Sunday because I'm like, oh, my God, yeah, we have so many memories in this place. Da, da, da, da. Love it. And then kept reminding myself like we're getting kicked out. So you actually can't stay here regardless. So yeah, you have to just move on because I don't know if I'm attached to Jersey or the apartment, you know, I think it was the, I think it's the apartment. It's all that. So I'm crying my eyes out, but then I'm excited. You know, oh, so now a whole new rush of emotions that I'm super excited. We move on Monday, long ass day, you know, moving day. That's all moving there. That's a whole thing. And we got movers, thankfully. But we are in a walk up and, you know, that's a whole thing and it, but it's great. I mean, our new place is absolutely stunning. I'm obsessed, I'm so happy, but it was a very obviously long day. And then I ended up getting a, you know, because you're just, you're doing so much, I ended up getting a migraine at night. Yeah. And I was like, okay, it'll, it'll go away tomorrow morning, probably with sleep. No, no, no, no, Tuesday, woke up all day, migraine. Yeah. We got the verity premiere. I'm like, well, you know what? You got to push through. We got to see on halfway. We got to see verity. It's a party. Do that. I'm like, you know, what's going to happen? I'm going to wake up on one day. And it's going to be gone. No, it's not. It's still here. I think it has to do with my period and moving and stressing all that. So it's the whole thing, but so happy. We're moved in. We're officially on the upper west side. Oh my god. It is like genuinely, we were cracking up this morning because we live our life like we're in a sitcom. And I really think we were talking about this morning. Like if there were cameras on us 24/7, people would be like, these fucking people live like they genuinely live like they are in it. Like there's a like there's a laugh track. Yeah. It's like like we, like there's a laugh track ever after a conversation genuinely like hour. So our apartment is two floors. So last night, it was our first night, like going out separately and then coming home separately. So we had the party Yankees were on. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're sure done. Yeah. Okay. Yes. Go Yankees. So I'm upstairs, Matt comes home and he's like, I'm home, Maria, and I'm like, I'm up here. I'm like genuinely just stopped and I'm like holy fuck, you're so oh dear, like we're so annoying. And on top of that, how was your night, dear? Yeah. Oh my god. I have some tea waiting for you on your bedside. And I'm in a row. And let me tell you about Anne half the way I'm waiting at the top of Sarah's in my robe with a towel on my head. No, and then on top of that, our shower is a dual shower head. So you could shower at the same time. And it's not a sexy thing. We're just standing there but ask naked chatting. Yeah. And I'm like literally I'm living in Matt's fantasy world because every like all the time when I take a shower, he walks in the bathroom, we just chat, you know, I stand in the shower, he stands outside, we're talking, you know, and now it's just, we're just both in it. The dual head really is something because we're just like, we're like, are we going to get out anytime? We're just sitting here talking. Yeah. We're wasting water now. Parents, my parents redid their bathroom, probably like in the house we were growing up in, probably, I don't know, when I was somewhere between 10 and 13, I don't, I can't remember. And I just remember thinking like, oh my god, like this is so cool because I would, when they weren't home, like I'd go in shower in there, but I just by myself, like I turned both on. Right. And never did it cross my mind that they were like that that was so that like both people could be in the shower at the same time, like that just like was not in my brain. And then when I hit the age where I was like, oh, like mom and dad could be in the shower at the same time, I was like, this is disgusting. Yeah. It's, that is so funny. It is, like it, I don't think it's something that's necessary. No, it's incredibly, it's incredibly, it is an amenity that no one really knows. You really don't. And obviously it was fun, you know, for you first move in, but we're not doing that, I'm like, we're not doing this all the time. All right. We're not sure. We're not doing this all the time. All the time. Like this, that would be insane. And it's just funny because you're just standing there, you know, like at the end of the night, like, gut out, like, you know, I'm blow, I'm like, period, I'm blown, and I'm like, this is like, you know, when you drink, like, oh, it's so sexy, like two showers at the same time, you're like, this is, no, it's so funny, but it's, it's great, it's so excited. No one is more excited and seeing Matt live in the city for the first time and him just like popping down to a coffee shop, man, oh, you want me to go grab something real quick? I could go grab to the, like, oh, yes, you want me to run to the store and grab this real fast? Want me to pop down and grab this real fast? He's like running up the stairs, like, I got it, he's like, you're going to love it. He's like, timing himself. He's like, three minutes. Yeah. Your first commute. You're like, I've got to the office in less than 10. Oh my God. Oh my God. Welcome to the good life. Now you're going to know why I never want to know my apartment. It's so nice. It makes so much sense and we were, it's been two days, obviously, but we're like, we were projecting, like when we were like, everybody wants to come to Jersey. Jersey's great. Now that we're here, we're like, oh, I understand the commute, like once you're on the other side, once you're on the, you understand that the convenience is just so much easier and yeah, it was a joy this morning because obviously I was running late because I don't know where any of my shit is. Like, everything's still in boxes. We haven't unpacked. I got this migraine some running late. I still got here only 10 minutes after the time we were supposed to be here. So that's like running late. That's considered pretty good when you're running late from Jersey. You're running. It could be 30 minutes. It could be 30. I could be running 30 minutes late. I couldn't believe it. I'm just, it's great. Oh, man. That man had a living. Just, I feel like I've never lived here and I have. I've, I've, I've lived in Manhattan for years, not now. I mean, I've lived in Jersey for the past five years. But, before that, but I never took full advantage in any capacity. I didn't take full advantage at all. I literally had no life. I was a fucking loser. I was miserable. I had no friends like, like, no, it's true. And I say that not as like a loose, I mean like genuinely like, I don't even know how to put it into words. Like I, it was like by choice. Yeah. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, you could have been out and about, but, but there was things holding you back. Right. And like, I don't know. I was just secluded from everybody and like, it just was, you know, not the jam at all. And now I'm like, oh my God, everybody wants to come over. I got this person. This is sleep over. I don't know. Like, it's so fun. You know? Yeah, I'm, I'm happy I was very, I know I'm rambling about the sound, but I was very sad on Sunday. Like, yeah, like, oh my God, cried my eyes out. But now I feel a lot better. I think it was like a big change. It's a big change. Change. Good change though. Yes, very, very exciting. Excited for a new chapter. Excited to explore the city that I once left behind. Now I'm back. It's been waiting for you. Oh my God. Dude, I'm actually loving patient zero. I have to say, after the music video, it really grew on me. The music video was fantastic. But that's my favorite of the four is patient zero. Because I think the music video really amped it up for me. But we do like all of them. But while we're on the topic of that, we had the Verity premiere last night. Yes. And Halfway Dakota Johnson, Josh Hartnett. Hartnett or Arnett? Hartnett. Hartnett. H-A-R-T-N-E double T. Are we sure it's not a Hartnett? There's a T. Hartnett, sorry. There's a T. Hartnett. Hartnett or Hartnett. I've always said Josh Hartnett. I would agree with you. But I was watching Entourage. Oh. The other night. Yeah, they were talking about him. And they were talking about him. And they said Josh Hartnett. Huh. You know what? Maybe we got to watch him being introduced in some interviews. Can we pull something up to see how his last name is pronounced? Do you like a, do you like a, like has he been on late night recently? I'm sure he has. It's about Verity. Before the premiere yesterday, I watched the Entourage Aquaman episode. To prepare you for the big premiere. Oh, man. Well, yeah, we were at the Verity premiere last night. Yeah. Thoughts. I mean, we can talk about the movie. I just want to say that we both, we both walked to the carpet. Well, all three of us walked the part. I'll walk the carpet. But we were, I don't trust this. I don't trust the, the like AI Google pronunciation. Well, that says Hartnett. Hartnett. I think it's Hartnett. Man, I've been saying it wrong. No, it's okay. It's not that big of a deal. Yeah. Hartnett. He's just, that's probably why he cancels coming on the show. That is probably why. I don't even want to talk about that. I was so upset. I was so excited. I was so excited for that. We thought we were going to get an interview with him before. It was buried. And we didn't, I was so fucking, I'm like, I told my dad. Like I was so excited because we love. Per-lover. Per-lover. Like I watched Pearl Harbor a million times. The movie. No. The movie. Asshole. Yes. Yeah. Watch the movie a million times. And I was like, oh, come on. But, uh, no, that we, but we were separated because ha ha. Like I was running late. What else is new? And that was crazy, by the way. You had all day. I know. And then here's like, I just can't seem to get my brain to wrap them out, wrap around the actual amount of time it takes me to get ready. Like in my mind, I'm like, I need an hour. Like that's, I'm like, I need an hour. I don't need an hour. I need maybe close to two. You know, I feel like any girl would be like an hour would be quick. 100% but in my, like, I can't. I, there's something in my brain that cannot accept that I am someone that needs close to two hours. I love you so much. I really do. I love you so much. It's shocking. You haven't figured it out yet. It is. Is it an ADHD thing? Do you have ADHD? No. I'm debatable. I'm not diagnosing you. Yeah. I don't know. I probably have it. You know what I mean? Like I, but I'm just saying I have seen people say people who are diagnosed with ADHD that they have a problem running late. Yeah. So I've seen people talk about that. Yeah. There is, there is, well, there was a time in my life. Don't give her a go to a doctor and get that. What? So don't give her an excuse. Well, I love her. I love her. ADHD. We make excuses for the people we love. I am saying though, there was a time in my life. I mean, I was going through a lot of things at that time. My life like post-college or midst of college where I did go to a doctor and was diagnosed and was medicated. Okay. So you. However, I did not like, I did not like how I felt on the medication. Oh, okay. That makes sense. That makes a lot of sense. I went to, because at some point you always take that test and I was not diagnosed with it. Yeah, and I remember my sister came with me with a doctor and she was like, no, I don't believe that. I was like, well, I don't, honey. Well, they're saying I don't. So I don't know. And also like, maybe this is just my personality. I was diagnosed and then I went home and my mom and I were like, nah. I don't know. I don't know. I don't really think that's what it is. So. Well, okay. But back anyway. Anyway, anyway. So something about like, haha, like I would make fun of the, of the girl that would take forever to get ready. But I am that girl. And I think that's what. Yeah. And that's what stops me. And you know, it's right, we're getting ready for a red carpet. So I was like, adding a little extra. You're getting ready for the red carpet that you possibly almost weren't able to walk. Yeah, yeah. Believe me. I understand. And you had, oh, we didn't do anything yesterday. I would have. No, I know. Well, I got to, the fillies were playing. I got distracted. Oh, please. Miss baseball. No, I said, I said. Oh, my God. This is actually, this is the only time I actually started to care. It's like game one of the playoffs. I was like, oh, time to start. I got distracted by the fucking game. I got distracted. I had it on. She's yelling at TV. Oh, fuck. I want to hear. I forgot. I forgot I was going to read the game in a terrible fashion. She's doing her peanuts. No, yeah. Yeah. - I was just kidding, you were saying you got distracted. - I got distracted, I really was game. - And all honesty, I really did. - It's so fucking funny. - But I think I would have been distracted by anything if I was watching it quite a little. - Well, I was like, I know what was stressing because. - Well, I wasn't stressing, I was just like, okay, I was like, let me tell the story. - Okay, okay, go ahead. - So, you want to sit here? You sit here, I'll sit there. (laughing) We were bringing plus ones, and so Fran brought Noah, I brought Sarah as our plus wants, that's listed on the thing. So, I arrived and Noah's like, am I not gonna be able to walk the car back? - You see, that's not what I was like. That's not what I was like. - I actually totally envisioned that. That's what I picture happened. - I was just like, oh, I guess we won't be able to go in then. That's kind of what I said. I wasn't like, oh my God, I know. Forget that we're on a podcast and we're trying to be entertaining. - Yeah, I'm frangering. (laughing) - Yeah, he's like, oh, so I guess. - I was like, have fun. - Yeah, so I guess we're not walking. But you did get to walk. - But the girl who-- - Basically, I was only like five minutes behind you on the carpet. You were finishing the carpet as I was starting the carpet. Did you see me? - No. - I saw you at the end. - Oh, I didn't see you. - We were on the other side, not what I were there. And as you-- - Or I didn't see you. - Yeah, you were finishing as I was waiting to start. - Okay, yeah, I didn't see you. And you were walking out. - Well, thank God you made it. - Yeah, I made it. And you know, it's just like, anytime you need to be on time or you're running late, that's when the Uber's like, cancel. You know, I'm like, I'm rarely in my standing outside on my sidewalk waiting for the Uber to show up. And I don't know what happened. But I had multiple Uber's be like, nah. I was like, God, you gotta be fucking kidding me. And then I actually thought, should I just run to the one train, it would get me there faster? - Right, I did think of-- - I physically could not do it in the shoes I was wearing. Like it would have been, it would have been a disaster. I had to take my shoes on at the end of the night anyway. I was like, there's just no way. Thankfully, I made it in time. We walked the carpet, we got the pictures. Noah walked the carpet. - You know what, though, I walked. Well, Sarah and I met up first to get a drink. And I walked from my apartment to there to, it's fun to walk through the city, a little dressed up. - Mm-hmm. - You know, and just in your head, you're like-- - I said to Ria. - People are like doing, is that what's that Timothy Shaw? - I really, I really like-- - I really like it. - Yeah, I think you put together. - Thanks, yeah, I had sent it to Ria a couple of times. - Yeah. - I'm gonna like the shirt guy. - But he had it now. - No, but it, it, yes. - I had to, because that jacket is cropped, so it would look like weird in the bow and everything. - It was a great fit. - Yeah, it was great. - And it was on the-- - It felt very young Hollywood. - Yeah, on theme with the green. - Yes, no, no. You were on kill, but I thought you looked great. And when I saw, so Sarah was your plus one, no was my plus one, technically, like with the tickets. So after you went through, Sarah was with you, and then no was with me. And when I saw the people who invited us and they had our little names on the piece of paper. And in like big letters, I see no hives. I was like, "No, you ready to walk the carpet?" - Well, she's a name and everything for you. - She's very nice to girl who invited. All of us are like, "She's a fan of the show." So I think that's the only-- - Yes. - Like no one else would have been like, "We're gonna put her plus one's name on the thing." But she knew, so like, as a joke. But she was like, "Are you gonna walk?" I'm like, "I don't know. Am I?" - Well, it was great. So I was like, "All right, well, I'll go." And then selfishly me, I'm like, "Well, no one's gonna fucking mock the carpet right behind me. "Who's gonna take my video?" (laughing) So Noah, I'm like, so Noah starts filming for me. And then they're like, "Sir, like it's your turn." - They're like, "Oh, so we had to stop." - So honestly, just one of them are like, surreal absurd things I've ever done. Like being in front of all those cameras and them all being, 'cause they hold the thing up. Because in my mind, I'm like, I'm gonna get up there and no one's gonna do anything. - No, they're going, no. But they go like no, no over here, no over here, no over here. They're had to have happened. There was a lot of a talk we're saying one in times. And when I got to the end and stopped taking pictures, I'd turn around, no, it was like in the midst of it all. And I'm like, I got it. I don't have my phone because no, it has my phone. So I'm like, no, toss it to me. So like in the midst of taking all the pictures, he takes his phone, my phone out of his pocket. Smooth toss, clean toss. Oh, one of the covers goes, that was nice. That was it, yeah, they're like, that was nice. Honestly, that would be a sick photo. That would have been a sick photo, yeah. Because by the way, toss me my phone so that I could take the video of him having his mom at garbage. Yeah, I wish you got the video earlier, because the video is cool. And there is, that was all the proof for a while that I actually walked the carpet. But when I first walked, it was really like the Noah's were going more like, of course. Because people were responding like, that person put her camera down. So sorry, I missed your content. Yeah, yeah, yeah. God forbid. Now we need to bring somebody else for Noah, like it's like, we thought we were bringing Noah for us. Now we need to bring another person for Noah. I would like to say Sarah crushed her job and got in front of the photographers and took a video of me. And was like, Maria, over your shoulder. And every time she said, Maria, the photographers took more pictures. So smart, smart. Because she was making me seem like-- You got to walk in like, you're important. She was making me seem important. Exactly. And I thank her for that. I think that's why. Because after all of this, my photos weren't on Getty. Like the whole night, while we were looking, I was searching out, and I'm like, they're just never going to-- And I think maybe I just wasn't exuding, like, I'm important. I was like, hands in pocket, like, smiling. I feel like if you're smiling, they're like, I don't know. I feel like this guy isn't important. I can just tell. I think that you looked important. I actually thought you looked important. I think you looked important. Well, by the way, yes, if I was, I had no idea. Because those photographers don't know who anyone is except for, like, Anne Hathaway. Right. Like, they're there for the stars. Anybody else, they're taking their picture. I would have thought-- That's a target, but this guy looks important. They're just like making sure their camera works. Listen, I thought you were the best dressed guy there. Yeah, you did. At the whole premiere? Yeah. Wow. I don't believe you, but Josh, aren't it? Josh, ahead. But I don't even remember what-- What was Josh's wearing? I don't remember. I don't remember. Exactly. I remember what you were wearing. He was in a lumber suit. Right. You know, you were possesses. Yeah, that's so boring. Yeah. So once I said I was giving Tom Cruise and Top Gun. Oh, wow. Oh, yeah. That's awesome. That's-- But one photo finally made it this morning. Did I wake up, like, at 6 a.m. and open my laptop and searching it still wasn't there? Yes. Would you also like to address you typing landscape into your phone? Because the people are very obsessed about that. The amount of DMs that I had going, there was someone this morning who said, what kind of phone is that? It's an iPhone flipped horizontally. Have you never-- The only reason I've had a phone is that is so funny. The only reason I was doing it like that was because the website that we used to get pictures like, it's janky. So the only way to work it is to make it that way. But people, I guess it's weird. Yeah, I don't text people like that, like sideways. But-- When you go log into websites and stuff, sometimes you have to go sideways for it to fully pop up. Yeah. It just made the visual funnier of you like holding your phone horizontal, being like N-O-A-H-B. So funny. No, I didn't even notice that friend was filming at first, but I was like, yeah, this looks pathetic. Do you look over your shoulder and you to see me typing no a verity into Getty? Yeah, that's so funny. Well, well, we were in the theater. We had a little bit of time to wait. But then the director came in, people from Amazon spoke, and Dakota Johnson, Colleen Hoover, Josh Harten, and they came in, stood in front, spoke to us for a little bit, and had a little speech. It was very just positively glowing, of course. And Dakota came down holding hands. They looked gorgeous. Right in front of us, I was like, no, and I were grinning ear to ear. And then when they walked by, like, this was me waving, and I was going, and, and, she waved right back at me. No, and I together were both like-- Yeah, she didn't look like right after that. I took a video of you guys from across the theater. Really? I didn't see that. I sent it to you guys, you didn't answer. I was sad. Me and Sarah were sad. Not near your side around the side. Yeah. I know, because you had texted us before they came down, like, oh, I see them. And I was like, they had better seats than us. And then when they walked out, I'm like, oh, we have better seats. You know that? You know that's Noah's first. No, I know. I know that in his head, he was like, I have a better seat. Really? Realistically, what should we have done? You should have taken it. You didn't know what to say. I should have sat with you, and Noah should have sat with me. No, I mean, you should have sat with Sarah. And I should have a friend. I don't know why we didn't just swap seats. Well, because, like, we're best friends. Yeah. But that's kind of friends. Like, that's our thing. Like, we sat together at the marty's supreme. Yeah. Right. No, it's been, no. As you guys are like, what's my date? You guys are like movie buddies. Yeah. Um, yeah. I'm not jealous at all. I don't know why we didn't think to do that last night. I mean, obviously, Sarah, I very much enjoyed saying this. It was a great time. I'm just saying, like, it was just funny to me. Yeah. Didn't think of that last night. It was. I couldn't think straight because I got to be honest. There were some really annoying people in the theater, but, you know, chatty, chatty. It just, you know, I just couldn't think straight for a little bit. Yeah. That's so fine. That's so fine. The, um, and they keep the, they keep the theater so fucking cold. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. And everyone's in formal wear. And your feet are out. My feet were frozen solid. Frozen solid by the time the movie ended. I was using, I brought a shawl, and I was like using it as a blanket to like try and stay warm. And you know what I should have done, which actually, you know, who was sitting across from me was, um, uh, Uba rehearsed in New York. She was right across the aisle for me, genius. She had another bag. She had uggs in her bag, and she put her uggs on for the movie. And I thought, what a smart, smart lady. A smart. I was frigid. I was trying to wrap my, my dress around my feet. Yeah. To cover my toes. Yeah. There was a moment I thought about just taking my shoes off and like sitting on my feet. There was a moment I thought about running home and grabbing a jacket and coming back. Yeah. And, but you know what? I was so locked into the movie and we can't talk about it too much because it's not fully out yet, but we'll be able to talk about it on Monday and hopefully everybody goes and sees it this weekend. But we, I mean, we were locked in and as move, as book readers, all three of us, all three of us have read the book. There was great discourse amongst us and I thought they did a really great job with the movie. I will say because that could have gone sideways. And Anne Hathaway was obviously perfection and like, what a perfect person to play that character. And I was thoroughly impressed with what they did with that movie. Dude, Anne Hathaway was incredible. Incredible. She was so good. There's just nothing she can't do. Oh my. And it definitely comes across, there are moments where it comes across like a little campy and all those things, but that's just because the premise of this fucking story is insane. Of course. I mean, if you know the story, then you know that this movie is going to be insane and unrealistic, I thought it was great. I really liked the movie. I thought if you were, you know, a listener from years ago when I originally read Verity and threw it in the trash, but also read it right there. Yeah. And also read it really fast and kind of was captivated and discussed it by the whole story. Dakota Johnson in the movie depicted how I felt reading the book, right? Which makes sense that you have that reaction while reading it because she has that reaction while reading the whole thing. I don't want to spoil. Yeah. But I thought it was great. Yeah. And I'm not just saying that because we got invited, I would give an honest review about this. And I really thought it was really, really good. I thought it was better than the house made. I thought it was better than it ends with that. Yes, I know that it's not the same author's, but I feel like when you think of Verity and the house made a similar story, obviously different, but like there are some things that are kind of similar, you know, woman comes to live in the house and ends up with the husband type type thing. But you know what I thought they got really right is the house, like, the house was perfection. Yeah. That made me want to go to Vermont. The whole setting was like exactly how I don't think they filmed it in Vermont. I actually think the house is upstate New York, it's in New York, still wants to, I still want to go to Vermont. I think maybe you can like go to the house. I saw some influencers went to the house. Yeah, yeah. I wonder if it's now like on Airbnb or something that you can go and say in the house. The house was so cool, the whole, like the setting was perfection. They really did pick up the right setting. And it just opens up. If you read the book, you know, it's like manuscript or letter, what, what do you think? And then the book I just thought also did such a great job of, of re invigorating that debate and almost like having a different perspective from the movie. You're Westchester County. That's where I, like basically where I grew up. Yeah. You don't got to travel too far that you can go to the house yourself. Oh, there you go. It currently operates as a wellness for treat center called Beckoning Pat. Can you click on that? Oh, yeah. Wow. Wow. Okay. So you, I want, I guess you can go. Should we go? There they are. Wow. By the way, those kids. Those kids. Beautiful location. Those kids were so damn cute. Oh my god. The little actor that played crew. Oh my god. They were all the after party. They were dancing. They were so cute. So happy for that. spoke to. I didn't even speak to you did. Well, I said it's congratulations to the parents. -Yeah, yeah. You were like, "You did it." -Yeah, I was like, "You fulfilled what I couldn't do, girl." -You did it. -You did it. No, Jennie. -I looked at the pants and said, "She did a great job. You should be really proud. Congratulations." [ Laughter ] My parents wished they were in your shoes. -Yeah, yeah. And they were fantastic. They were fantastic. The after party was really cool. It was at the Central Park Boat House. They just did a great job with that as well. Josh was there, and Ann was there for a little bit, and which I'm so impressed by her for so many reasons. -That was incredible. -Is it? It was late. -And she was bumping, like, literally-- -She danced and done well. -Like, she was dancing. I was so impressed with her being there, because, you know, we were complaining about our feet. We were like, "Why are we complaining about our feet?" -Seriously. -And, half the way is fully about to pop. Any second, she's here. And then Josh Hartnett was there, and we go outside and we see him. We're debating if we should talk to him or not. And really, I think if I had one more glass of champagne, just one more, we kept it light, because when we were recording today, I do believe in my heart that I would have went up to him, and I envisioned this whole thing, and I just wish I did it for the story. -Yeah. -And I wanted to go up and introduce ourselves and say, "Hey, by the way, you did a great job. We would have loved to interview you." -You would not have said that. -No, I really-- -You would not have said that. -I really would have said that. -No, I really-- -Because I was that way, that-- -You would have said it like you just said it. -Oh, I just-- I was just debating-- -You would have said it like you just said it. -Pode, I'm like, "Josh, you know you were supposed to come on our show, but you were great. We would have loved to have you, maybe in the future." And then walk off, and I envisioned that, because lately, this new motto I have is that, and it's to help me do this job. And it's really just to remind us and myself that these are real people. They're human, just like me and you. And you can say things to people. And they're not going to smack you in the face. -Right, right. -You can sit-- -No, well, well, yeah, unless you're fucking-- - Unless you're Chris Ross. - That's Chris Ross. -So I guess you might. -Yeah. -But I guess being like-- -Not to not saying be an asshole, but like-- -No, of course. -You can ask the questions you want to ask in an interview. Do your job and ask the things. -Yeah. -Just-- That's kind of just what I'm trying to do lately. So what I was telling myself was last night was like, that did happen. You're not lying to Josh Hartman. And if you were to go up to him and be like, "Hey, you were supposed to come on our show, got canceled a couple days before." That's not a lie. And if you said it in a way that was nice being like, "Hey, we'd love to have you sometime." Not like, you know, fuck you. It was more like, we would have loved to have you, you're great. Okay, and then maybe he comes on in the future. Or maybe he says, that was really weird. -Yeah, I can't show you that. -Yeah, and then that's fine. And either way, you have a story. And anything that happens is a story for the show. And it's a story for life because everybody is human. -That's not our thing, okay? If we have one thing, three of us have four years, it's not talking to anyone. -So you guys don't like this new model? -No, I would have loved to see it. And my mind though, is like, he has no fucking clue he was supposed to be on our show. You know what I'm saying? -Yeah, it's like-- -He knows what I'm saying. We should tell-- you know, maybe if they told him and we were nice and he liked us, then maybe he would be like, "Oh, I met these girls." -You know, I don't know. -My only thing was I was like, "Oh, I would walk by." I would have just said you were fantastic in the movie, "Congratulations." -I mean, when we first went out there, there weren't that many other people. Like, he was out there. -No, it wasn't incredibly possible. -I'm just learning that you have to ask for things or say things, and that's how things happen. Like, if you think about our last two weeks, like, there's so much shit we can't even talk about yet. But if you just say things, you tell people things, then things happen. And so, like, I'm feeling empowered by that, where I'm like, "Just go for it, you know." So, you know, although I'm empowered by that, I didn't do it. -You're like, "This is my new movie." -I didn't do it. -I didn't do it. -We're feeling empowered, yet we did nothing. -So, you weren't feeling okay. -Okay, I'm working on it. That's what I said. It's not all of a sudden. -Yeah. -And I just really nearly do it. I'm working up the courage. -There. -I want to. -Just wanted a good one to try out that new persona. -Right. -Like, you're not going up to Ann Hathaway, probably. -I probably would have gone up to Ann Hathaway sooner than I've gone up to Josh Josh. -Right, same. -And, you know what? -Because she was saying pictures of people. -And she was also in, like, she had an outfit change for the after party to get, like, she looked a little bit more comfortable, look like a, like, a black set, like, pants and top with feathers. It was black with feathers. And I thought, "I'm in black with feathers." -Right. -I was just, I was just envisioning, like, me being like, and we got the black feathers and we're matching. -Right, right. -But I'm just like, that's not-- -And heard me, like, "Oh, my God, let's take a picture. We're matching exactly, exactly." -Like, I just, like, I feel like those parties are supposed to be, like, a safe space, you know? -Oh, that's how I feel, too, because it's all-- -Like, you're not. Don't be a fan. -No. -If you go about, go talk to them. -I'm sure-- -I'm like, you're supposed to be there, you know? -Like, like-- -Yeah, yeah, yeah. -And don't fan out, just be like, Ann, that was great. -Yeah. -Because it's also, like, it's, like, all industry people, it's everybody from Amazon, it's everybody that worked on the movie, so they, like, know so many people. They're all congratulating each other, all the producers. -But at the same time-- -But at the same time I totally would ask Ann for a picture. -No, no, no. If we had-- if there was an opportunity-- -I totally would have been like-- -If there was an opportunity I would have taken, I would have said, "Ann, shout out, Melbourne, New Jersey." -Yeah, yeah. Listen, I actually-- -Paper Mill Playhouse. -I didn't know Herner has been able to go since 2008. They got married in 2012. Like, that's beautiful. And we just don't talk about that enough between the two of them, you know? -I know. -He really flies onto the radar. -And just to acknowledge, like, "Ann, what a year." -What a year. -What a year. -What a fucking year you're having, huh? -She said she's going to disappear now for a while, so. -I would too. Watching them from the window. -Yeah. We also were right. -That was the funniest thing, so-- -We were on the other side. -We were outside watching them through the window. -You guys, we all were getting tricks. You guys, like, left us. -And-- -We got our attention. -No, no, no, no. -You were still waiting at the bar here. -No, we were still waiting at the bar. -We just, like, just trying to find a seat. -But anyway, so we were kind of just like, "Oh, my God, there's Anne Hathaway." Like, we didn't know that she was here. And so then Sarah texted you, like, "Ann's here." And you're like, "Yeah, we see her." -Yeah, we know. -We're literally up against the glass paint. -There's an outdoor area. And you guys are basically directly next to her on the outside of the glass. No one was near you either. You were like, "I walked outside, and you're like, "Where are they?" Oh, wait, let me look where there's no one. -Yeah. -There they are in the corner. -Hey, guess what? We had-- -Premos. -We had-- -We had a hockey game, like, being on the glass. -We basically front row on the glass. -I kind of drummed up this whole thing. Where, like, maybe she would look over, and we'd be like-- -You would be like, "What is too weird about this?" -And then she would wave, and we'd, like, maybe do a selfie through the glass. -None of that happened, obviously. -No, no, no, no. -It's fun to go home and dream, though, like, when I went to bed last night, I shot her eyes. -Yeah. -I was just like, "Ah, to be in half the way at your premiere party, the last one of the year, and you're celebrating. Everyone's applauding you." -Like, it's just-- -Right, maybe it's a baby. -It's a beautiful talent. -It really is. -It really is, but we had a great time. -The coil wasn't there, sadly, at the after party. -No, she was not. Well, you know what they were saying? I forgot. She's hosting us and all this week. -Oh, so maybe she's. -I think she's busy busy. -Yeah. Yeah, maybe either not late night or had something. Maybe she'd had to go practice something, I don't know. -Right, maybe she's working. -Yeah. -But it was a great night. We had so much fun. We're going to get into Dancing with Stars. We're going to get into topics. But first, we want to talk about the Cornell 7 case that's happening right now. -Trigger warning. -Yeah. -Because, obviously, this is very intense. -Yeah. -Second result. -And sensitive. And we want to be mindful of that. But we are just so disgusted by this entire story. And, you know, now social media has brought a lot of attention to it. -Yeah. And thank God it has. And also, it's like this started because of a Cornell Sun story. So just incredible work from those students who felt like they wanted to dig into this. Because a civil case was filed after this incident happened in 2024. And it's dug up what this Jane Doe has gone through. And how crazy the process was of basically just really getting no clarity, no justice. You can read the full complaint and see how she details, you know, what happened. There's drug use involved. There's alcohol use involved. There is, you know, sexual assault. There are multiple men involved in this where they had a -- And they had a Snapchat group, the fraternity, 57 guys, where they basically said, you know, it feels disgusting to even say out loud. But they just like, hey, free, you know what, upstairs. And like, there's multiple messages. They're like, I love this fraud. It's so despicable. And reading the full complaint, which I've seen a lot of screenshots of. And that's being shared a lot of this Jane Doe going through what she experienced. And then equally being so frustrated by what the New York law is. And reading that and seeing that like -- I mean, I'm just mishandled at multiple levels. It feels like the -- you know, the DA's office was like, oh, we let, we sort of like let Cornell police handle this insane. And then that was just handled so poorly. There was a story that while some were, there were some expulsions or suspensions, but then others just had to like write an essay. - It's so fucking insane disgusting. The Snapchat messages, there's seven guys involved but 57 guys in the entire Snapchat group. And now one guy in that group said, hey guys, what the fuck, this is disgusting, what is happening? But like, I cannot wrap my head around this. The messages are, we'll make you puke. Guy saying, shop's still open, yeah. Oh, I love this, it is so fucking disgusting. And on top of that, you know, you have the original complaint that was filed and what Jane Doe had said was consensual or not consensual and you know, whatever happened there. I want people to understand and I think people do, but some don't clearly is that there are so many times where women have been in positions where something has happened to them and originally they laugh it off or they act like it's not a big deal, just to make the other person feel comfortable. Even though what happened to them was uncomfortable. And obviously that happens on a smaller scale or a much larger scale like this. But it happens all the time where women will just laugh something off or write something off as ha ha or da da da because they don't want to make someone else uncomfortable. And so for people to go back and be like, well, she consented, no, that's not what happened. Like I can't wrap my head around the, oh, she voluntarily drank or took drugs and I know that's like the law or whatever that is. It doesn't matter. Like whether you voluntarily drank or did drugs, that does not mean it's just a fucking free-for-all to sexually assault or rape somebody for hours. Like that's not, that does not equal to, the law obviously needs to be changed. But anyone even defending that law, I can't wrap my head around. The whole thing is just absolutely disgusting. It is so despicable. This poor woman, her life has been taken from her because she dropped out of school. All these guys continued on in school. Cornell wouldn't give her fucking tuition back. Not her tuition money back. So she had to leave school. She'd just stay in school because they wouldn't give her tuition back. She'd like finish her semester. Yeah, and then after that, it's like now, she's gonna continue her life. And this was her dream. She came from a small town. Her dream is to go to Cornell. And everything was just absolutely taken from this woman. And it is so disgusting. I, the faces of these guys make me want to scream. I can't even look at the fucking disgusting faces of these men. I can't. And it's just the fact that no one spoke up, set a word. I'm beyond disappointment. There's the, when you're talking about, really one guy who I guess afterwards in the morning like saw them because he wasn't awake and saw the messages and took a picture of the group. 'Cause that's how we have that screenshot, whatever. It's like a picture of the, of the group. 'Cause like you wouldn't be notified if someone took a screenshot of it. And you could say the words like beyond disappointed, it's got those words, there's no word to even sum up the level of disgrace. The race this is, it's so heartbreaking. And we know that this isn't the first time this has happened and then it's, you know, the last time because people, I just are so sick, I can't, I can't get over it. And I feel so terrible for this woman, for any woman who has, you know, been through. And in my mind too, it's like, you're, I'm seeing these statements from like lawyers of some of these guys, right? And they're like, oh, my client was aware of what was going on but wasn't in the room when this was happening but had passed through the room at a different time. And it's just like, that means nothing. Like you still knew that that was all, you still knew it was all happening. And that's what's so sickening too. It's like, oh, that's your defense. Like, well, I didn't participate but I knew it was happening. And that's just like, it's so disgusting. There's no defense there. Yeah, I don't care. There's just no defense there. Yeah. And the law really is so fucked up. It's like, I did, it's just, New York law can make sense. This was a post I saw on Instagram. New York law can make sexual assault cases involving voluntary intoxication difficult to prosecute, to be considered mentally incapacitated and unable to consent. A person generally must have been intoxicated and voluntary. In this case, Jane Dosa, she drank voluntarily but said she was later forced to use ketamine. But still, how does that equal? That doesn't mean that some guys can come in and do. It does not. It really is sick. She didn't consent the law to be like, oh, you could be having, like you could think your night is going a normal night out with friends you're drinking, you're having fun. And then this happens. And that could just all be wiped away because you started out the night like thinking it was going to be a normal night and you were at a party and having drinks or whatever it was going on. And then there was also some text messages allegedly from her to one of the guys that she was friends with. And honestly, like the way she responded was all I needed to know. Because in the moment, it's like your memory is spotty. You don't know what's going on. This guy you're supposedly quote unquote friends with. So you're trying to like rationalize. And it seemed like she sort of tried to make a joke of like, aha, yeah, like next time, maybe not a million guys in the ketamine. And it's like, yeah, that to me spoke volumes on what happened, right? Obviously she did not consent to that. Yeah, that message alone tells you that. So it's all incredibly mishandled from top to bottom. And it's so sad because it happens on different levels across college campuses, across this entire country. And why do you see this? Why do you see this? Yeah, you just see like really, it's so sad because it does feel like there are so many things in place that protect these guys at these schools. And it's just mind boggling that that's the way it goes. Yeah, I just-- And even like the, you know, the DA has been interviewed. It's like, oh, we know that untoward conduct had happened, but it's very hard to process. I want to-- And we just let the, you know, Cornell police handle it. And it's just-- I watch this interview on CNN. And I honestly was like, I can't wrap my head around listening to this guy because I don't know, like-- Yeah. I just feel like there's no-- I know. I know. Even when you listen to these guys, I'm just like, there's no remorse. It's crazy because I guess-- And I know, as he's sitting there be like, this is horrific, but-- And they got to, like, talk. I just-- I guess they've tried to change the law. And it's made it through, like, a certain point in New York state government. And then never makes it to that final, you know, being signed to actually be changed. But it's gone, like, through the first steps of it. And it's really just insane that that is the case. And every detail you read about it, it's more and more sickening. You just can't believe that this happens and these guys have just gone on to, like, live their life, nope, no problemo. It's just so fucking just gross. And obviously it opens up a broader discussion about teaching men, your sons, whoever-- Yeah, how to act. How to act. Because, you know, it goes back to the discussion of, like, well, the girl, you know, oh, the girl was drinking and doing drugs, like, what the fuck does that mean? That shouldn't mean shit, like, it's just-- Right. Because all the men on college campuses can drink and do drugs and be totally fine, right? Like, it's not have to worry about this. Yeah, like, oh, my God. Well, I think everybody should be forced to watch the movie promising young woman that came out in 2020. And it is very, you know, if you watch that movie, it's seen with this case. And one of the parts of the movie that's being reshared now is one of the guys being, like, you know, every guy's biggest fear is being, like, accused. And it's like, do you know what every woman's fear is? Like, it's one of those movies that-- if you haven't watched very worth watching or giving a rewatch, yeah. The whole thing is just sickening. It really is. And I know I said at the beginning, but once again, just, like, very proud of those female students, journalism students, who saw this story, saw the case dug further and published this, which is why it has reached the level of, you know, discourse. discussion that it has, and obviously going so mega viral across the world and being talked about is because they were, you know, brave enough to look into this and post and share and write this story too, so. Right. And, you know, they're Cornell students. Yeah. And I do want to say that my heart goes out to anybody who has been in this position that doesn't have people speaking out for them, because there are so many people which is so fucked up and sad to say that you can think of the countless women who have been through something like this that don't have people advocating for them or speaking for them or making this, you know, a worldwide case. And my heart just breaks for that. So it's just so sickening and I think they've reopened the case, which is, once again, like because of people talking about it and putting it out there and you hope that, you know, and the world we want to live in, a girl like this gets justice for this happening and it is, it's fucked up that there are, you know, laws that will stop that from happening. So it really is. It's on the law, oh my god, it just, oh boy, well, listen, I know that this is on the top of our brains and I'm sure a lot of people are listening today. So we're going to move on, get into more of the show. We're going to do our typical Dancing with the Stars recap. Dooby brothers to me, yeah, rock. Some of these are not, yeah, rock. No, steely, Dan. No, steely, although do you know that they are really offended by it? Yes, I know. I watched the documentary. So that's what I'm saying. Like, maybe they're like, we won't be included. What about, they don't approve their songs and views. They probably wouldn't. Yeah, yeah. What about Brandy? That's a classic song. Not a lot. Yeah. For example, Manator is not a yacht rock song. I don't get that. Hall of notes. That's not a yacht rock. Hall of notes is actually, I feel like they're not kind of, if, if, if, here's what's funny, if you were to actually Google, like, biggest yacht rock artists, hall of notes does come up. Yeah. I do have to say, I love yacht rock at a barbecue. Oh, yeah. In the summertime. You know, whatever. This was the most boring dancing with the stars theme that they probably. That rock doesn't seem like a dancing, like, no, it was the most boring theme they could have had most. Because you know, none of the songs are sort of, or they're, they're yacht rock, like they're, they're, they're viby. It's not like, uh, you want to be on a boat drinking a, a nice cocktail and watching the sunset. Like it's exactly, you know, it's not exactly like, uh, the biggest hype stuff. No, it's not. So it was incredibly boring, but we'll get into it. Amber and Pasha started off the show. They are, they are such a strong couple. They got a score of 24. They dance a folk track to hold the line. Three, eight, great dance. Great dance. She is a gorgeous dancer and shadow Pasha for continuing on because it got drilled in the face. Mm hmm. And that happens. Accidents happen, but they had, they have a beautiful dance. Like, she is really, uh, so fantastic. And we should have known that going into this too. I think we had her on our radar. And it was like, you kind of wait and see to what happens, but just really beautiful and it Fox, lot of fox trots, a lot of fox trots. This, to me, was the best dance of the night and they started off strong, although not super exciting. I think the best. Beautiful. Beautiful. Yeah. Right. Exactly. Well, that, that, unfortunately, I think that just comes with the, with the theme. Right. And that's why they're dancing those songs, which is, which is just part for the course. But in terms of just like beautiful ballroom, nailed it. Exactly. Moving on to Julia Stiles and Ezra Salsa to, I can't go for that. No one can do. Score 19. I thought this was so fun for the two of them. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I really thought this was a fun dance for them. I love seeing her sort of loosen up a little bit. Exactly. Like, and this was more fast pace than some of the others. I, this was my favorite dance that did, the two of them have done yet together. Yeah. I agree. I agree. I feel like she's getting better. I feel like she's loosening up. In, in her package, you know, she's used to like being an actress and there's so many levels of, of like editing to her work before it makes it to the public. And this is just her right out there alive for everybody to see and maybe a little difficult for her to adjust to. But I feel like Ezra's getting her to open up and just let it out there. One mile have fun, relax a little bit, which is good to see. Guillermo Whitney, the Fox trot to the Pignacolata song score 15. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Look, they're having fun. We know they're having fun. But I appreciate trying. I appreciate how much effort he is putting into it truly. And Whitney really does such a good job with this choreography and, and, you know, the fun element of it, tossing the umbrella and he, he, you can see him really trying. He's really trying. I, I think I feel differently between, because I know he's getting the Andy debate. Yeah. I feel different. Different. We're watching it. As we're talking. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like Guillermo is more seriously. I don't, I don't know why that's recently by by get. I feel like Guillermo is. I know about that. I think Andy was taking really seriously. But Guillermo is a better dancer. I think Guillermo is more, sorry, maybe not taking seriously. I don't know. I think Guillermo is a better dancer. I think Guillermo is improving week to week. That's fair. So maybe not taking, maybe I think Andy did take it seriously. Sorry. Yeah. Don't, don't come after me. Yeah. No, no, no, no, no, let me speak. Yeah. Yeah. But I do think he is improving week to week Guillermo and I'm starting to think maybe we were hard on Andy last year because here's where I'm coming from. But here's the thing, the Andy stuff, like we're early, like do you think people are going to turn on Guillermo and like? Yes. They already are happening. It's already happening. So now I'm thinking, but and I'm like, why shouldn't Guillermo get a shot to be there just like everybody else? Yeah. So that was the Andy debate. That was the Andy debate. And you know, we grow. Yeah. Years go by. The years start coming and they don't stop coming. Yeah. Yeah. And you hit the ground running. Yes. And here's the thing. Your opinion changes on things and we're not at the level where where fantastic dancers are being sent home instead of Guillermo. Well, like as people disagree about, about Hansen. You know, like, yes, and that's where that's where the conversation stemmed, like that's where the conversation started with Andy for me. Last season is when you were like, oh, like, oh, we're, you're getting robbed of, of other dancers that are technically better than there would be equal people saying you're getting robbed of the joy that Guillermo brings you in. No, I absolutely, absolutely, that's, but that's what they want. And that's what this is what Dancing with the Stars wants when they cast people like this on the show. I will say you want that debate. It causes crazy controversy. People get so riled up about it and it creates conversation. And that's what they want. They want people talking about the show. I will say a good thing to look at is the views on they post the full dances. Guillermo, each week has by far the most views in the video, like, yeah, look, the people love Guillermo. It's dancing. And he's dancing for the people is right there on his belly. He's just having fun. Yeah. He's grooving. Yeah. He's dancing for the people. But my, my issue too is where it's like then the, then the judges element comes into it where it's like Guillermo can be commended. You can, with your words, command Guillermo for what he's doing, but his score still needs to reflect the dances that is being danced and the dance that is being done. The dance that is being danced and for Kerry Ann to score that dance, the same as Tyler's dance. I got a big problem with that. Big problem. I don't think that's, I think that's crazy. And I'm jumping ahead for a quick second while you bring up Tyler. Or should we wait? No, let's wait. Well, I think we'll wait. But you know what? Am I smiling here? You're watching Guillermo dance. Absolutely. Like without a question, Tatiana and Jan had a quick step to Managers 21. They got three sevens gorgeous dance. What happened to the camera operator midway through the dance? They were on post today. Yeah. And they posted like a side by side with the dance. Actually, look like gorgeous. Wait, what? Oh, they cut to the crowd. They cut to the crowd in the middle of the dance. We miss like like five seconds. He danced. He did a full split. Yeah. They cut the crowd. Morris, friends. Yeah. But you know what? Talk about someone that is getting better week to week. Fantastic. The quick step is so hard. I thought she was amazing. So good. And I think she has such a stage presence. She was rocking it. She was. I have to say like here, we're like, what the fuck? Why do they cut to the audience? And then last week people were pissed. And they cut to the audience. It was us. Yeah. You really? No, but like that. They're cuts. This is despicable. That was fitting for the dance. That was part of the dance. This like this had no, there was no, like that was a mistake. Right. That was a camera mistake. That was a mistake. She nailed this though. Like really so good. She's definitely getting better week to week. She is. I'm loving watching her. I thought that was fantastic. Jenna and Harry did a jive to you. Make my dreams come true. Look, when I saw, there were so many fox trots. And when I saw the lineup last week of like what dance and song everybody was doing. And I saw that Harry was doing a jive and Tyler was doing a jive. I went, oh fuck. Right. You know, because it's like, when you're like the only ones doing a jive. Right. And you have the best male dancer arguably just, but it's like, okay. Hip-hop master. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I actually love how he was so good. No, he was so good. I love this jive. It was so entertaining. So good. No, he's so good. I mean, he's just, he's so good. He's so fucking good. I was like, he didn't just say it because he's funny. No, I know. Because he's so good at a dancer. Right. But you're not hard. You know that if I'm Tyler, I'm up in the sky box. I'm watching this. I'm going, fuck. I'm like, fuck this guy. You think of your Tyler in the scenario you want to go before him? You're like, 100 percent. 100 percent. You don't want to follow this up. Yeah. Oh my god. He jumped split. He does the whole thing. It's just like the two of them are so fucking good. And Jenna just pumped so much jive content into this too. It was really pretty. It was really pretty flawless. Yeah. He did flip. He did it. It was fantastic. I mean, he's unbelievable. He's an unbelievable dancer. We knew that already. And, uh, love seeing some of his glee cast in the crowd. He had, he had some of his grace and anatomy and glee cast in the crowd. Um, which was, which was so good. Uh, they got, they got three eights. Very well done. Taylor Hansen and Brett danced a fox trot to what a fool believes. Score of an 18. You know, the judges comments are tough because I know people think like. They're way tougher on some people than they are others. In defense of the judges, though, I do think that there's like a certain level of feedback that you can give people that you know, have the potential to get better. So it's, I feel, sometimes I feel like they are a little harsher on those people because they're like, if you fix these things, you can get better. When it comes to like Guillermo, I think they are like, we know that the threshold isn't that high. So they, they are nicer because they're just like, oh, we know that if we say like, hey, you got to make sure your feet turn in or this that or your lack of effort or, you know, whatever is like, not going to be that good. He unfortunately, I think it's just, um, just wasn't that exciting. This dance, but at the same time, it's like, I don't know. I don't think Yacht Rock helped anybody. I think, yeah, I don't think Yacht Rock really lifted anybody up, but they were unfortunately sent home. I'm bummed for Brett. I really am. I just got it for her and she seemed so upset. Um, I don't blame her. I mean, it's the fact that she wanted Harry Schum. Yeah. She doesn't get it. Well, did you see that apparently Taylor wanted Brit? All right. But like, no, I know, but I just think in that case, sometimes they're probably going to go with the, with the request of the star, but the Brit openly was like, I want Harry. Like she's talked about before and like Harry, like before Harry was even on the show. So it's like, you know, she, I feel like she's owed some loyalty. Like she's been there for so long. She's done so many years. They made her being true for so many years. Yeah. They made her a pro. Like, she deserves to make it to the end with somebody. It's like, at what point do you, you got to, you got to give her somebody that can, can take her there. I hope they do. And I felt so bad because I really do think she was shocked. I also felt so bad because right when they were eliminated, you could see her saying to Taylor, like, I'm so sorry. Like, I'm so sorry, which broke my heart because I'm like, this is not your fault. You know, it's, what are you apologizing for? But it really, and you could just see the devastation. She was clearly very upset. And, and I don't think that has to do with anybody else on the show. I don't think that has to do with anything besides Brit's own personal journey and just being like, you got to be upset when this is another year of kind of getting out on those early rounds, where you're just like, when is it going to be my time? But she deserves it. She really does. And it's a huge bummer. Yeah. Moving on to Moira, Mark, they did a quick step to turn your love around. They got a score of 22. Yeah. They are just great. They are rock stars. These, these two are just fantastic. Yeah. And like all the judges raved, her arms just gorgeous. Really, really gorgeous. She just, she kind of has that Alex Earl effect. You know, we're just like your limbs are just stunning. And when you're in frame like that is just the perfect image of what it's supposed to look like. Classy, gorgeous, beautiful quick step. They're great. Obviously. So good. Yeah. And I just like Moira, you're doing a great job. Stop putting so much pressure on yourself. Like, I feel bad that she's just the nerves are eating her alive. It seemed like she was able to loosen up this week. But her talking back to week two. And we saw it. We were right in front of her before that dance. She was so fucking nervous. And I'm so glad that hopefully like as this process continues for her, she can like breathe a little bit. Absolutely. Sierra and Brandon dance a cha cha. It's never too much with the round draws. They got an 18. I love seeing her have some fun. Like, I think doing the whole karma brown. Right. And then she got out of like a persona and her to really shake that cha cha. Once again, there's another one where it's like, Oh, the judges were very particular with their critique. But I think it's only because she can be such a great dancer that they want her to get better. Yeah. And just like little fixes. And she'll be so great. This dance was really fun. Yeah. I thought this was so fun. I loved their costumes. Love the costumes. Yeah. But I thought it was really fun. And I said this last week about Sierra. I think that she's going to get so much better as well. Is that I feel like you can tell that she's like thinking about the steps. Yeah. Rather than like kind of flowing through it. Yeah. But obviously they just started their own week three. And I think a lot of them do that. I don't think it's just her. But she just is. She has so much potential. And they are such a fun pair. Yeah, they really are. I'm there. They're fun to watch. Jackson and Emma did a pasta dog like to easy lover. Also scored an 18. I'm sorry. I'm bored by him. Yeah. No. Why did I just say that? I know. I saw people saying spend less time on the TikTok. Some more time. No, because I love Emma so much. No. I feel bad. I just don't listen. I got to be honest. I love Emma so much. I'm so obsessed with Emma. I think everybody knows that by now. I say it every single week. Yeah. I think she's one of the coolest people I've ever met in my life. Yeah. And one of the most talented ever. I'm bored by him. Well, I also just think this dance style really did not suit him. I just don't. I don't know. I just didn't suit him. I think I'm just like bored by his like persona. You're not a Savannah banana head or whatever. I know. I'm. not. Yeah. I don't know. I remember like it's see this is what I mean by opinion change. Yeah. Before the same start, I was like these two were going to the finale. No, I know. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um flip flop in here. No, I we need a little bit more from him for sure. He's just not doing what I thought he was going to be doing for me. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's right. I think maybe we just had really high expectations on like showmanship and it's not quite meeting. Yeah. Yeah. Like where's the banana? Right. You know, I don't know. That's why I get it. Where's the where's the greatest showman? Exactly. Yeah. Uh Connor would and Riley Foxtrot to everywhere one of my favorite songs ever scored 20. Love these two. That's also not y'all rock to me everywhere. That's a great I don't think that's not right at all. But uh love the mullet. I love the mullet. Such a good time. This pair. It's like too. They're just fun. They're cute. They are. They're having a good time. Yeah. He's trying so hard. You can tell that's really trying how hard he's trying. And he's getting better. He is. And he's very funny. Obviously. So he makes things funnier with his reactions to what's happening. Yeah. But this is a great pair and I thought that one's again. It's yeah. I think that's also why the night. Like you weren't I was just blown away by the evening in general because so many people dance at Foxtrot. And while technically a Foxtrot is very hard. Like all they all talk about how deceivingly hard a Foxtrot is. It's not the most like exciting dance to watch. You know, if that makes sense. Just but it is people like Amber's Foxtrot stunning. Um but I thought they did a great job. Yeah. And they are and they are they are getting better. Jenna and Val dance to somebody Africa. They scored a 21. I got to say I know and I know there was some disagreement on this and people and I think Jenna is obviously a fantastic dancer. But I really agreed with what Karen was saying that she does attack. I do too. Everything. And that is the kind of dancer she's always been. But with certain ballroom. You sort it. How to rain it in a little bit. And some and it just needs to be raining a little bit. Like not a lot. Like 10%. Right. Just more just like a little flow rather than hit, hit, hit, hit. Right. I did understand what she was saying. The intensity. The intensity is high. Doesn't have to be so intense. Yes. You look pretty intense to them. No, it's very intense dancer as well. Right. I think Val also dances like that. Bro watching Val at the end of this. Like be just like hair down sweating. Like a fucking animal. Like Tarzan out there. You look like Tarzan. Like Tarzan. Yeah. I know. I know. I was killing me like the way he looked primal at the end. Like breathing watching the scores. Yeah. I know. You watch him. I'm sorry. My head hurts so bad. I'm trying to laugh at her. Would you watch him get out of his scores? He's like, I know it's crazy. It's actually crazy. Oh man. I know. Then we had Tyler and Sharna did their jive to still the one they had a 17. Carianne gave him a five, which blew my mind. I thought he really like and it's hard because the five probably came from the fact that he was off the music to start. He did get it back. But I know he was probably said about that too. They actually like after they gave the scores they cut to Tate and the crowd. And she was like, are you kidding me? Like, are you serious? Like she obviously was upset about it too. We were also saying that crazy to cut to Hannah Brown. No, no. I have such a problem with that. Tate is a better woman than I. Yeah. Yeah. A stronger woman than I. Yeah. Because I would have been on the news for attacking an ABC cameraman the next morning. If my fiance gets up there and they pan to Hannah Brown before me, are you fucking kidding me? Are you fucking serious? It is just so rude. It is despicable. Get the fuck over at ABC. It didn't happen. Yeah. It didn't work. He's in love with Tate. Tate and Tyler are getting married. Fucking deal with it. And Hannah is married. By the way, Hannah's already married. Yeah. Okay. So, so stop. I couldn't agree more. I'm so mad about it. I made my blood boil. Yeah. Wait. Do she there to support? She's bit. She wanted to the stars without it. So, okay. So she's there. But they you pan to her and then by the way, the sinking, sorry. Is that a flurry or a bite? I think it's a bill. The sinking up of the song is still the one. Isn't this the way my brain works? And this is why I say he's taking it stronger than I. Because mom thinking, oh, the song's still the one. Then they pan to Hannah. And they're like still the one. And then Alfonso goes and then it pans to Tate. And Alfonso goes, yeah, that's the one. But he's not watching the TV, right? He was saying that was the one. Like that was the dance. But if you're watching on TV, if you bring it up, it sounds like it goes to Hannah. And then they go to Tate. And he's like, yeah, that's the one. Like they got the wrong one. I'm so mad about it. I really am. I couldn't even focus on how I felt about his scores and dance after. Yeah. Because I just was like, if I'm Tate and Tate is so wonderful, like she, you know, I'm mad for her. Yeah. Get over it. Don't do that shit ever again. Yeah. Don't do it. Looking at you. I am. I know. No, so fair. On top of that. Oh, by the way, I actually just want to mention because Ezra and Danielle went last they did a Foxtrot to just the two of us. They got a 21. I just the two of us. We can make it if we try just the two of us. Great song. Also not a year. Let me tell you something. I could watch hours of them dancing. They are so incredible. I love that the season is just like kind of panning out to be the the Poshkov show because they fucking deserve it. And that household, they got Olympians and they are really showing them off. It was such a, another absolutely beautiful dance. I am just in awe of him every time they dance. Really. So good. He's been making such funny videos. He made a video about like, what do you think it sounds like when I put my my leg on? Yeah. Yeah. Now let me just say this. I saw people saying and I think that this is a spectacular idea that for Halloween night or horror night or whatever it is, they got to take his leg off and do something with it. They could certainly do that. That might sound fucked up saying. I don't think he's very open about joking about it. He's making these TikToks. People are like Daniela should choreograph something. Crazy. Crazy with that. Because that would be very cool. It's certainly, it's certainly there. We know that she has a creative mind. Put that fucking and the Halloween juices is where she shines. The last thing I wanted to say about the episode and I just kind of dancing with the stars in general is and I'm whispering this. I'm seeing, we're seeing what Brian Austin Reigns put out there and we just like to say to him, cut that shit out. You know, just listen to me. Bag. Cut that shit out. Sharn is a fantastic woman. She's working. She's back in the ballroom for the first time in years. Support her period. That's it. I don't want to hear you whining on social media that she's not, she's just there is giving you enough care, giving you enough time. She's busy. She's busy and this is why guys vote Tyler to 2-1-5-2-3. Yeah. Vote Tyler to 2-1-5-2-3 and all the other people you want to vote for, but make sure you are voting Tyler as well because we are obviously voting for other people, but we are voting for Tyler. And you know what? Now we're like, you actually deserve, I hope Sharn is stays in as long as possible so that you can deal with, share yourself. No, seriously, like, what the fuck will I, you know, I'm just, get the fuck over it. Okay. No, I know. Deal with it that you're, I'm sorry. She probably doesn't want me to speak like that. I don't think Married. Fiancé. They're fiancés. They're fiancés. They're engaged. They're not married. They're not fully married. They're not fully married, but I just want to say like, just like, just just get over yourself, talk about getting the dick. No, my God, I'm just like, seriously, like, what we, nothing is worse than watching a man unable to support his woman. It's the most disgusting thing ever. Like, you, like, your man should be like, yes, that's my fucking girl. And even if you, even it, like, if deep down you're feeling these feelings, keep up to yourself. Keep up to yourself. Keep up inside your household. Keep up to yourself. But nobody wants you getting online. Yeah. And you talking about that is, I feel like he probably thought people are going to be like, uh, nobody fucking girls bad for you. Hope you're okay. Brian. Hope you're okay. Like dealing with, I hope you okay, dealing with this, dealing with this. And it's like, no, no, it's actually the opposite. I can't say. We're just going to need, we're going to need him to, I'm going to need you to wrap it up. Wrap that up. And I want only support for Sharna. Only support. My God. She's working. She went back to right hair. Sharna. She's means fucking business. She means business. And for the love of God, don't you dare show Hannah Brown after Tyler Cameron's dance anymore. That and Brian Austin green, put them together. You better be voting for Tyler, because the two of them don't deserve this bullshit. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. And that's on that. And that stands for the stars. And that's standing with the stars. Talk to that. with a little bit of attitude. 'Cause my head is fucking pounding my god. I'm gonna take a claw clip to my eyebrow. - Yeah. - Oh, my brother said of that kind of work. - I saw that's where I got it from. And let me tell you, I should be sitting here with a fucking claw clip to my eyebrow 'cause it feels like the left side of my face. Do you get it on one side when you get a migraine? It's always on my left side and the only thing that helps it, the only thing. - But besides like a diet coke and fries is, I wish I tried yesterday, it didn't work. Laying on the side that it hurts. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, hard. - Yeah, hard. - Yes, I do that. I did it. - I have to fall asleep with one. - On a heating pad, on my face. So I get fucking burned on my face. And then if I go to the right side, I'm pounding agony. - Yeah, agony. - You know what I have, like specifically for hangovers, it's like a big headband type thing and keeping your freezer. - Yeah, I have that too. - It's a great, I got that too. - I fucking love that thing. - I got that too. Joe got me one of those weighted eye masks. - Yeah. - He got everything. - What do I have that too? - What if I can delight that thing? - No, it is. I think I got a charger. Mine's mechanical. - Oh, no, no, this isn't. - Oh, okay. - It's not, it's just weighted. It's not, it doesn't have any massage features. - Yeah, no, it doesn't. - No, no. - It doesn't plug in. It's just like, it has some weight to it. - Okay, I need that. I mean, I need that because mine is got my sauce and the heat and the whole thing. Whole gadget. But anyways, yeah, I feel like I had more to say about Dancing with the Stars, but. - Yeah, it was obviously hard because we came home from the premiere and watched it really, and watched it late. And so we weren't in the discourse. - I didn't know you could record on YouTube TV. - Yeah, let me tell you something. That was shocking. Ria was like, so are we gonna have to wait to watch in the morning? Like it won't be on Disney Plus till the next day. I said, well, you have YouTube TV. She said, yeah, you could record it. You had no idea. That's like one of the biggest advertising points that YouTube TV makes when they're selling people you to TV is that you have an unlimited library. Like you can record whatever the fuck you want. Unlimited storage. - I just want you to know that I don't deal with any of that stuff. Like I don't deal with the Wi-Fi or the internet. - No, I know. I just thought it was so funny. - It's a phone bill. Like, no, that's my husband. And I just go, give me the password. So it's like, you know what I mean? So like, I don't know, I'm YouTube TV. I'm like, I texted me yesterday. I'm like, can you record? Like, can you do this for me? Like, I don't even know how to like click record on the YouTube TV. So we did it and let me tell you what? A treat. Like fast having my talk about last night. And fast already through commercials. Cheesy Dorito Gordita Crunch in my mouth. Baja Blast in my right hand, a left hand on that pussy and watch it. Oh, this is from a song. Sorry. See, I would never know this from a song. - You know, a left hand and not staring real. Why, right hand on that pussy? - Two chains. - No, can't say, you know, not me. - We didn't, we can cut that out. We don't have to, please. - We're gonna keep it. - No, please cut that out. Yeah, that's dancing with the stars to talk. And moving on, love hypothesis is getting a sequel, a book sequel and into a movie. - Yeah. - And you know how sick I am? My first thought was, hope Tom Bateman comes back on to promote the sequel. - From your lips to God's ears, babe. I thought the same thing. - Oh, wait, babe, I called you babe twice. I have never done that. And you also said, you also called me dude at the beginning of the show, which I went, I used dude and, and bro, probably way more than I ever used babe. - Yeah. - For this context. - For friends. - For friends. - I wouldn't, I'm not calling my husband dude or bro. - No, no, no, but. - But rarely do you drop a dude while we're recording. - It happens, but not often. - No, I probably do it more like in real life. I can catch myself saying dude or, or, or bro. - But I feel like, every time I say bro, I'm seeing it like kind of ironically. Like when I say bro. - Yeah, and when I'm calling you bro, I'm saying. - And when I say bro, like. - Right, no, of course. Yeah. When I'm calling you bro, I'm saying it like as a joke. - Yeah. - In my day-to-day life. - Bro. - I do say bro, but it started as a joke that has now just become my vocabulary. - Yeah. - And I'm not meaning to, but it's just part of the vocab, now. - Yeah, that's fair. - What was I gonna say? But I don't do the babe thing. That's just a new thing that I'm trying once again. - I'm trying. - Because you're on things out. - No, because Sharna, she does the baby. - Yeah. - You know, and I love that. - But I'm not Australian. I did it to a bar. - It's not as cool as we do it. - I did it to a bartender recently. (laughs) - All of this is sitting in front of me. - I don't like this conversation. - Well, I was like, "Babe or baby?" - Baby, it was a good woman. And I was like, "Oh, thanks, baby." - And I don't know. - I didn't like it. - It was just like just drunk enough. - Yeah. - Were it felt good? - Yeah. - But also, I was like, "Why did I do that?" - Yeah. - You know, like, I don't know if it'll be my new thing, but it felt fun in the moment. - I would try to, you know, whatever. - Who gives a shit Maria? Stop talking. Anyways, love hypothesis. Tom baby, yes. - Oh, like lifting her leg up. What is she? - He's got an itch. - I thought she was had it, had it up like, not itching. - Oh. (laughs) - Are you more of a baby person with your husband? - Babe. Babe in person, baby in text. - Mm. - Mm. - Mm. (laughs) - I like it. - Oh. - I'm never a baby person. I always say baby. - Yeah. - I'll do like a what's a baby text, but I'm not, that's not coming out of my mouth as often. - Yeah. - And you know what, that's appropriate. I don't know. - Yeah, you're silly like shit. - I actually don't love that I'm a baby person, but I am. - I am. - Like I, I am. And what I've heard. - That's okay. - I like being called babe though. - Yeah. - I like it. - Yeah. (laughs) - I don't know how we open up this entire thing. - That girl is going out. - Do you actually text me before who just said hi baby? So like, yeah, like we have a lot of baby. - It doesn't call me, like we don't, like it's not in person we don't use it at all. - Yeah, I know. - It's definitely like I like babe and baby, but sometimes it's nice to switch it up. 'Cause like sometimes if Matt's calling my baby too much, I'm like, can we get babe back in the rotation? - You know what I've really threw in, I've thrown in more, which I never thought I would because it's like my parents had used it. And I just thought it was like, I didn't, I always thought there was a sort of a tone of condescending. Yeah, like maybe a little bit with honey. - Yes. - And now I use honey all the time. - Honey is so sweet. - And so seriously, but there was a time where I thought I didn't like honey or wouldn't use honey. And now I use honey a lot. - No. - No. - No, that's like for grandma's. - No honey is so sweet. - Yeah. - Honey is really sweet. - Honey, I use way more now than I ever thought it would. But here's the thing. Honey is fine to use in front of other people. - Yeah. - You better not be babying up the place in front of other people. - No, no, no, no. - I know you're gonna know who I'm talking about. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - That's not stop. - Holy fuck. It would make you want to fucking bash your head into the table. Baby, baby, baby, like leave that in your home. - Yeah. - Okay. - I don't like, you know, like if you're, oh, you know, babe, can you grab that, whatever. But I'm not babying and babying all over the joint in front of other people. Like that's an in-home thing. - I agree. - 100%. - I'm gonna like, I can't wait until you slip up in front of me. - I don't think I would. I don't think I have. I don't, you know, I don't think I'm like, - I'm sure that in the course of my career, I definitely have. - Definitely sometimes. - I'm mad at you. - We've got some baby and baby and baby. - I know, I know, but I'm mad. - I have those $5 in my pocket every time I catch you. - Yeah, yeah. - But you'll know, Rich Man. - Every time she's the second she has one drink, baby. - That doesn't happen. - That doesn't not happen. - It's comedy podcast, baby. (laughing) God damn. - No. (laughing) - That's what happens. - That totally happens. - But not to the extent of what I'm saying, when people are like, baby, up the joint in that way. - No, no, no, no, no, no, please. - We've been in, we've been around. - Had my back here. - It is not, we, it's not the baby you're talking about. It was bad. - I know, it's nowhere near that level of every other word was baby. - That's what I'm saying. - It's not like that. - God. - God. - Oh my God. Oh my God, oh. - That's how people talk. - Okay, okay. - No, let me tell you. - I'm cutting your ass off. (laughing) - That's how fucking people were talking last night. That was driving me insane. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - Oh my God, oh my God. Oh really? Really? You need to get to a speech class. I learned to not talk like that. (laughing) - Unfortunately, that's, it was a bit of a value. - People get vocal fries, that's what I call it. Like how do you, how does one get to a porn thing? - No, I don't think it, like you're not talking like that as a kid. (laughing) - I gotta go. - I gotta go. (laughing) - No, it's a kid. - Mama. - You're in second grade. - Mama. (laughing) - Hey. - No, I, could I get an apple juice sauce? (laughing) That is a fair point, fair point. It must change, it must change. Jessica, what did you do at school today? Played some games. (laughing) Soccer later. (laughing) Damn. - All right, I don't know what you're talking about. - What are you talking about? - What was your thoughts about the love? - Oh, oh, oh, oh. She's running a sequel for the book and then they came along with the deal. The movie was such a success. She posed, Ali Hazelwood wrote that like, she was so excited about everyone falling in love with these characters again and inspired her. And I also love that she said in her statement, like if you loved where the first book like ended and her happy with them and you have no desire to like think about what they did afterwards or you don't want to tarnish the idea of like where they are in your own head, don't read it. She was like, maybe this isn't for you. But I got inspired, I wanna do it. And there's also a movie deal attached to it. And Lily and Tom have such amazing chemistry. I'm so glad that they're hopefully gonna, you know, do a sequel together. - Me too, I loved the movie. - Yeah, I didn't do weekly watch part of my day but did watch, loved it, thought they were great, so cute, so happy for them and happy for the sequel. - Yeah, absolutely. I think that's it. Let's do some popcorn. (laughs) I'm just not gonna talk for the rest of the episode. However, one's okay with that. (dramatic music) All right, let's get into the popcorner. Retaking your hot takes your voicemails, your opinions. I'm not gonna talk, so let's get into it. - Hi, this is Kelsey from Omaha, Nebraska. I'm coming to see you guys in St. Louis. I'm so excited. I've been a fan for so long. - Hell yeah. - Okay, here is my hot take, I guess. I'm a huge trader, Stan, and a huge dancing with the star, Stan. When I saw Whitney Levitt was cast on traders, I was actually really excited because I've always liked her, loved her on dancing with the stars. I think she and Connor have like a very sweet genuine relationship. But then I started thinking, if Connor wouldn't have gotten voted off dancing with the stars and was still on it, would she still have left for traders? Because I feel like she was like, this is your time, Connor, you deserve your flowers. This is all you, but so then would she really have left to go to film traders? I don't know, something seems suspicious to me. I don't know if it's a conspiracy theory that Connor was always gonna get voted out. Week one, or was she like last minute? Like I will go do traders. I saw this my husband's not on dancing with the stars anymore, or was she always gonna go? I don't know, but something sounds fishy. All right, love you guys. - Love you too, good question. - A lot of people sent that question. - I saw a lot of people talking about this. Here's the thing with the trade. Whitney has definitely known for a while, she was gonna be on traders. The discussions have to happen. I think I'm sure they talked about it. I'm sure they had some set up arranged. And I don't think they filmed traders for like that long. Like I don't think they're gone for that long. - I think it's a two week spin. - Yeah, like which is it crazy? You know, it's like they're going away for months and it's a whole big thing. Like I think best case scenario, they're probably like, hey if Connor makes it far, you'll be back in time to see him towards the end of the show. I don't really think like conspiracy, oh that's why he got voted off first. I'm just sure they had those conversations beforehand of like we both want to do this. And they just seem to be in the mindset of like any opportunity coming our way, we're taking it. So I can't imagine either of them being like, oh we shouldn't do traders because of this, because of the timing, it's like they'll figure it out. They'll make it work to get on TV. - I think they're both very much supporting the idea of like we're taking up any opportunity that comes our way and yeah, it would be funny to think about Whitney's like rigging the vote. So everyone voted for Connor Wood instead of Connor Wood. - Yeah right, I'm getting the Scotland. - Or you're just like. - He doesn't know, like he makes this the next week and she's just not on the ground. - Yeah, it's like Whitney kind of pulls this hole. It's like, oh honey, it's your time to shine. Can't wait for Boodle to see you, but I'll be back in three weeks after I film traders. - I hope you make it. - I hope you make it for because if not, I won't be there. - It's crazy, but dedication that she's not there. - Yeah, I mean, yeah. - Oh, I would have been, yeah, that would have been something. - She's definitely back in time for that. All right, let's do the next one. - Hi, hello, Regent Fran. I'm Collin from Connecticut. I want to know if it could be the red flag that I don't have a best friend. So in high school, I used to have a really close group with best friends, talk all the time, hang out all the time, tell each other everything. Then as we got older, like I got engaged, I'm getting married, and they're kind of still in that same, already stage of life. So we kind of just grew apart. And then I'm feeling like I don't really invest my time anymore into friendships or relationships that I don't find strong value in. So I have a really hard time finding like a new best friend. I have a couple of friends here and there, but I really just don't, now I'm in my late 20s. I don't waste my time with people that I don't genuinely find value spending time with them, 'cause I'm so busy. So I often think if you have no friends, you're usually the problem, but I'm certain to think maybe I'm the problem. So thanks, bye. - Interesting question. - I don't think you're the problem. - No, and I think that you, it might just be this phase of life here, right? And your time is valuable, right? So if you don't feel like you want to spend time with people that you don't mesh with, then that's up to you. I mean, I feel like many people go through this phase, right? Like, you know, some of my closest friends still are my friends from high school, but there was a period of time where I felt very self-conscious about the fact that because I didn't really go to college, I didn't have any friends from college or anything. So there was a period of time when I was working at a bar stool that the people here became my closest friends, and obviously I had my friends from high school, but they went off to college. Now everyone's, you know, around again. And so there were times where I felt like that as well. Like, oh, you know, so I think it can be just a phase of life. And if you feel like you've outgrown the people that you're friends with, you don't have to stay. It really depends on what you want. I think that having, you know, strong, female friendships is really important in your life, but if you don't feel like the people that you're surrounded by deserve your time and energy, then fuck them. Like, you don't want to keep people around just to keep them around just so you could tell people that you are friends or that you have the best friend, right? You want people around that you really value their time and energy and what you put into it, you get out of it. So I wouldn't say, like all of a sudden beat yourself up and say you're the problem. There are plenty of people that don't have a ton of friends, but you say you're married, you know, your partner could be a very close person to you as well, your best friend. Like, there's, it just depends on the situation. Now if you told me that you got into a fight with every single person in your life and you have no friends because you fought with every person and you have a problem with everybody. Yeah, then maybe I would say, okay, maybe you're the problem. But if you, it's just because you're in different stages of life then I don't think that you're the problem. Yeah, and maybe it's something that you'll reconnect with people when they are in that next phase of their life, which is always possible. But if the right people aren't around you then you're not gonna dedicate time to them because I do really think it is important to nurture friendships. So if there are some people that you do have or there are friendships that you had earlier in your life that you do care about that person, it is good to take a second to think like, should I, what can I do to mentor it? Like, what can I do to water this friendship and maybe like get us to a good place? Should I put in this effort do I need to? There's a lot of times like it is really worth it. So I don't know. I think maybe also think about the people that you do have around you. If you do feel like they're worth maintaining a friendship, reach out to them, plan some things, do some things. Nobody's gonna come, what I've also really learned is nobody's gonna come pouring to you. Not everyone's gonna come reaching out to you. Oh my God. Let's do this. Let's do that. So sometimes you can like project of oh, I don't know. I don't need those people. I'm good where I am, but it's like you could also put in the effort and then see what happens. Yeah, definitely. Yeah. And it's okay to reconnect with people or reach out to people or and maybe and maybe you know, when you reach this next phase too, new people want to your life. That has become close with very, very true. I always think about that with my parents like of course they have their they have their close friends that they grew up with their high school friends and all those people that like when I grew up, they were all aunts and uncles. Yes. Yep. But there were also so many friends that they became so close with when me and my siblings were in school and they're and my friends parents and all those things where it's like looking back, I think, oh my god. Yeah, they were my parents like best friends and they're people they didn't meet till you know, right? Like certain age when they start having kids. Yeah. So those people will come into your life too and they can like find that unit. Yeah, I'm always so amazed at the amount of friends my parents still have from when they were like in second grade and I'm like, it's crazy. Like you guys are 60. Like that blows my mind. And it's really sweet. And they have kept this friendship and you know wives and husbands that come in and it's amazing that they've been so close for so many years. But I think about the amount of friends, some of my closest friends now are people that I've met in, you know, within the last 10 years. Yeah. So it could be or the last five years. It could come into your life later. Yeah. You don't know. And it don't go searching for a new best friend, right? Like don't go don't go trying to fill. I love you man. Yeah. Yeah. Trying to fill that void. I have found myself in that position years ago, like, oh, thinking about like, you know, my best friend growing up and filling that void of like having that person. And then you're like, okay, this is not, you know what I mean? I'm like, oh, this went this went south. And so don't just go like, you know, the right friends will find you and you'll know how meaningful those friendships are. Absolutely. All right. Let's do one more. Hi, ladies. This is Ashley. This question might be more for Fran. But can we please talk about Cooper Dijene dating a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader? I think it's so crazy as an Eagles fan. And it just feels so wrong. But they unfortunately are so thinking cute. She did go to his first game, but she didn't wear Eagles gear. So not sure she's even allowed to do him. I guess they are since their public now. She just can't rep the Eagles, but maybe she will. She quits the team. I don't know. It's just crazy. And you don't only see him wrapping her wild couple. Just want to know your thoughts. Love you guys. My family has had a lot of good laughs about this because he hasn't had like, maybe the best start of the season. And we're like, if this fucking guy wasn't hanging around a Dallas cheerleader all off season, drinking hard lemonade down the shore. Maybe, maybe he be having a different start of the season. No, it is, it is hilarious. I do see their like, I would see their TikToks. I think dang. They're cute. But my god. Is this a Romeo and Juliet situation because you got a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader? Crazy. Dating a Philadelphia Eagle. I gotta imagine that the people in Dallas are like looking her and they're like, what the fuck are you doing? You know, and vice versa. Because we've been making the jokes. I'm like, well, you know, it's a good old West Side story. Yeah, other side looking in there. They're the enemy. They're the enemy. And it is something that is funny because it's also like, yeah, I watch America sweetheart. Like, sweetheart's, I know that there are people from all over the world that want to be Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. It's not like you need to be a die hard Cowboys fan to be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. It's sort of just indoctrined into you when you be like, now you're a cheerleader for the team. But most of these girls aren't like, I live and breathe and die by Cowboys football. They are dancers and they're professionals and they're so committed to their craft. And this is the top of the top when it comes to cheerleading. And that's where they want to be. And that's like a whole different thing. So I think that's also an element to it where you're like, okay, maybe it's, maybe it's not that deep. It is a funny joke, though. And unfortunately, it is being joked about a lot. And Cooper had to know that was coming when you start dating a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader as a Philadelphia Eagle. You know you're going to get shit on. Absolutely. So, but I'll show you some of their TikToks. They're cute. Yeah, I don't know. I have to imagine those haven't come across your death. I'll assess the situation. I imagine those ones aren't on your four-year page, but they are cute. So that's one element. Yeah, whatever. Whatever. All right, that wraps up the popcorn to keep calling in with your hot takes, your voicemails, your opinions. That wraps up today's episode of Tick's in the Office. Thank you so much for watching and listening. We love you guys so very much and we'll talk to you on Friday. Yeah, Tick's in the office. A long time listener. First time caller. Uh-oh. Look at the chart, too. That's the best. Two chicks getting paid in reality checks. You can find them at the gym. It's not even a flex. Last minute, right? Carpet flew them out on the jet. Yeah, they're who you want to be. They're always on your screen. Two queens and they might be spilling royalty. A lot of topics that are popping here to get into. I know a show that you probably want to listen to. Turn the heat up. Turn the beat up. Record the pie made a bag with their feet up. The ones that leave no crumbs when they clean up. Who's the pie that they all want to meet up. Who turn the heat up. Turn the beat up. [Music]
