I was like, oh, you know, it's like feels kind of like Jersey derivative, you know, whatever. Also, I don't really like a young housewife. I have, I'm really ages when I come down. No, no, but one of them is young. Oh, oh, oh. Yeah, one of them is like our age. You are being so generous and very feminist forward. But well, I always am, thank you. I'm often accused of being feminist and listen, you got me. But these women are bringing it. And I think this is, you know, kind of the linchpin of a perfect housewives franchise. These are women who are actually friends. These are women who have long histories together. Yes, yes. 'Cause you can tell when it's like a group that has been put together by production, you have to really know me, know my story, know my trauma, and my drama for us to be locked in as housewives together. Yeah. I mean, it does come up in all the housewives' franchises, of course, but this is really a show about cheating first. And no one's safe. We're all culprits at the end of the day, you know what I mean? I didn't realize like how much everybody got a scandal. Everybody catching a case. It's crazy. Like the women, their husbands, normally, it's a little bit of the husband, but it's the women's opportunity. It's an opportunity she didn't stop feminism, yeah. Yeah. Alicia, I think she'll like get loud like she'll, they call her this, they call her like the slip flop or whatever because she's so, and I love a fickle bitch. You know that about me. It's her one. We got, we meet every, every Sunday at seven. We meet. But she will start a fight just to kind of forget about it and then end it immediately, which I think is so fabulous, like that's how most fights should go. Like they should be kind of quick turnover. And like there's this one scene where she just also, I have to say the obvious thing. Alicia reminds me so much of my mother. Like my mom can't commit. One time I got in so much trouble, she grounded me and I let me out the next night because she forgot. And I was like, oh, well, anyway. And she's very Alicia and my mom's name is Alicia, very like that. And specifically all in one scene where she picks a fight for kind of, let's just say no fucking reason. She goes, I don't like the way your eyes look. This is, she's lying and I don't want to say she says, she's lying and it's freaking me out. This is also mind you like nothing had really happened. And then she says to the other girl, and this was very you to me. Fucking slow you. Well, you're not hot. You're not. What's fabulous? You know, let me not, I don't want to ruffle sometimes, but you, I hate when someone acts like they're like such a hot girl. And it's like, she said, I'm grown and I see you, but I also didn't realize like obviously we went to school in Boston. I know of New England well enough. I've been to Rhode Island, even like deep cut parts of Rhode Island, like little Compton Rhode Island, shout out to little Compton, if you know, you know, but I, what a name. Yeah. Well, it's we're calm. I know. Have you been? No, it's, it's divine, but I didn't know that they had it going on like this. I thought Rhode Island was almost giving like portlandia teas. Like when I went, it was very like granola. I guess it was the white people I went with, of course, were very specific. So I was not prepared for Alicia running a woman over with a car. Well, my, my dad went to college in Rhode Island. And he always was like, their accents are crazy. Yeah. Like they, it sounds like nails in a chocolate jam. And I thought, oh, it can't be that bad. And then I hear this. And it's like, oh, it, I did spend three weeks there at a pre college summer program. Imagine that. I could, I, I have to discuss the reason I even got into this show was because I saw this local news hit of like a man on the street interview of this kind of older man who was asked about the real houses of Rhode Island. He's like, it doesn't, it doesn't support us. It doesn't, it doesn't show us off in a good light. All of this stuff. And then he's like, you know, Bravo used to be like like seven samurai. That's what he used to show. And now it's this. Like Bravo used to show seven samurai. Like I love this man. He said, let's get back to the tradition. Let's get back to the Bravo of classic cinema. Wait, do you, like hate the accents? I do what I don't. I'm like, love or hate or like a New England accent. Well, I prefer an accent is like different. It's different from Boston. And it's different from like New England to me. Yeah. It's like stronger, thicker. Yeah. But I do love the way that all of these women are like talking to Ashley. Meanwhile, she has a second boyfriend ish, who she's kind of just keeping, which I respect that. - Yeah, no, it's so hard. - It's hard to keep a man just kind of in the, in the waiting line, in the queue, 'cause you never know, anything could happen. - Anything could happen. - Anyway, no, so all of a sudden, I keep saying polygamy. Oh, she's a polygamy as blah, blah, blah. Meaning polyamory and it drove me crazy. I wanted to, like, can we get Andy Cohen? Just voice of God. You, you all don't know what polygamy means. So let's open up, that's a predationary. And finally, they get the message and it's just so funny that all of them are like, right. So what do you say? - And it doesn't even faze on that. Same thing. (laughs) - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, I was watching the setup of that relationship and I wonder if it comes up later in a more interesting way. But so far, I'm like, sounds good to me. I saw that house, that sounds great to me. - But she wants to start a family and he very clearly doesn't. And to my mind, the issue in that relationship is that they're both pretty clear and communicative about what they want and don't want. But they're just not aligned. And obviously, I don't think she'd be with that one boy, her like, that's on screen, right, yeah, yeah. I don't think that's the story. But what did you think, well, of course not. However, the way that Drake brings up Palestine, to me seems very like a rhetorical device like that you're just using to dunk on someone. It really does not come from a place to me of care, concern, activism, but mostly just, I'm gonna dunk on you. Here's a good way. - Yeah, yeah. - And that, I don't understand. - I'm not a little bit mad at him going to DJ Khaled out on that. But like a man who doesn't eat pussy, I'm not surprised he doesn't stand for Palestine. - And I remember that quote. I said, "Oh, good luck to you." It's kind of like, did you see when someone yelled free Palestine in the Harry Styles concert? And he goes, "Correct." And I was like, "I guess I'll take it." And more, but I'll take it. I mean, the bar is on the floor. - I mean, in the Earth's crust, but who else did he knock? - Well, he knocked Asap Rocky, which of course, he's still so bad enough to shape over Rihanna. The thing on his last album on a previous release, he kept saying like, everyone keeps talking about me and Rihanna, like, I don't fuck with her. I never liked her, blah, blah, blah, blah. However, you keep talking about them. They're not thinking about you. - Yeah. - They literally never speak about you. Asap did one little line on one little song and talking about, I don't care about you, whatever. We used to be bros, but now we're not. That's fine. And yet, Drake can't get enough of talking about them. And then also, what I think is very funny is that he keeps talking about J. Cole. 'Cause J. Cole did one little verse and he immediately took it back. He said, "I'm sorry that I was just clout chasing." I didn't mean it. That's hilarious. That's why I've never liked J. Cole. I always think he's faked it. Can we say the real thing about J. Cole? He is every white boy's get behind me. Every white boy I know who's interested in rap has been like, but I fuck with J. Cole. No one gives him enough respect. I'm like, and that's two white boys that I know by the way, but it's enough to count. It counts as a trend to me. But I don't know why. I mean, because J. Cole not suffered enough, you know what I mean? I feel like he's always trying to make it. He's always gonna put his little hat in the ring. He's always trying to give a little something. And yet, Drake comes back and is like, "Listen, I won't forgive you." That is so funny to me. It's also like, J. Cole is who you're trying to like throw a shot set. He already said I take it back. He already apologized to you publicly. It's fine. And the only people defending him are those two white boys I was talking about. That's it. There are a lot of men and barbershops that love J. Cole. They love the platinum no features. If you love how to make it in America, you love J. Cole. I'm talking about my brother. But it's true. But listen, Lewis also loves. I don't know something about that. It's like, if you love J. Cole that much, then sweetheart, you simply just love Kid Cuddy. You just love an emotional. An emotional black man. And that's Kid Cuddy. So smart that one. That's why they keep her around. No, it was really dark sided, though. And I guess, yeah, not alarming or not alarming. Completely alarming. Not surprising. No, no. I did wish that it was written by someone who knew a little bit more about Black music, rap music, specifically Black culture specifically, because I do think a lot of Nicki going MAGA has to do with her own maybe insecurities about where she stands in the hierarchy of women and music, women and rap. Obviously she's at the top. But I think that Cardi being so vocally openly like democratic, openly liberal, maybe contributes a lot to Nicki's open positioning about this at this point. I do think, though, that the article was correct in that she probably has more conservative than people have thought. Very black, anti-conservative. And a lot of immigrant families are, though, that too. And something that I noted in the article that I was like, I wonder, I don't know if this is entirely true, is about her demographic. I was like, she reaches a lot of white gay guys. And the main takeaway, we're not main takeaway, but one of the lines was about how, obviously, this could be an opportunity to tap into black women, who historically obviously vote in a landside democratically for the Trump campaign, for the Trump administration, but yeah. And I'm not in the barb community. I'm not even local to that neighborhood. But I do feel like her impact actually reaches a lot of people about a politics for which I'm mostly white gays. OK, guys, in general. I feel like if you want to reach black women, she's not actually the one that's going to move-- in my opinion, move the needle. I was curious if they're-- and I don't know the writer as well. I was curious if there was something specific that backed that up as like, who are the people that write for her? Obviously, of course, black women are part of her demographic as a black female rapper. Yes, and a great one. But I do think this idea of Nikki being able to deliver a black woman voter, or Nikki as a Trump surrogate for black women, it's not really one to one. It's weak to me, yeah. But also, this is just another chapter. Let's say it in her proxy war against J.Z. And again, I don't understand how people are asking Nikki about how much she obviously hates J.Z. When she said lace front wig, that was hilarious. But I mean, hello. Why don't they ask her about Beyonce? I think that a lot of her tension with Beyonce is because Megan is starting out a future so early in her career from Beyonce. And he had to work for decade to get feeling myself.
