Deane Lester Flemington Cup Day Preview

The Racing Previews podcast, hosted by Ben Cloutier with panelists Will the Bot Alfred and Nico Magwaltar, opens with a discussion of Melbourne traffic woes, as Nico vents about increasingly long commutes that dampen his enthusiasm. The main focus is on previewing Flemington’s races, particularly the Dean Lester Flemington Cup and the Winter Challenge at Rose Hill Gardens. The panel recaps last week’s standout performances, including Angel’s Fury’s dominant win in a two-year-old race, though they caution against overhyping her due to moderate competition and track conditions. Decalogue’s disappointing run is heavily criticized; the horse overraced after jockey instructions to find cover led to poor tactics in a strong headwind, ultimately ruining his chances. In contrast, the cunning fox impressed with a gutsy win on heavy ground, hinting at a promising jumps career ahead. The discussion shifts to Hong Kong racing, where Ka Ying Rising and Romantic Warrior were named joint Horses of the Year, a controversial first for the Jockey Club. While Nico argues Ka Ying Rising deserves sole recognition as the world’s best sprinter, others see merit in both champions. Technical issues from last week are resolved, and the podcast promotes betting boosts for races one to six at Flemington and Rose Hill, with Queensland races dropped. The track at Flemington is a soft 7 with light wind, expected to provide ideal winter racing conditions.

Especially to those aspiring tips. Who want to take a leaf out of his book. We've also got the winter challenge there at Rose Hill Gardens. Raul goes out a little bit there. The very interesting to see how the track plays. My name is Ben Cloutier. I'm your host as always. I'm joined by Will the Bot Alfred and Nico Magwaltar. Will Bot, how are you doing mate? I'm well. I'm well bit tired. Well, we've been getting up for the World Cup or something. No, no. I've been imagining how I'd go if he had a normal work. Lots of form, lots of riding and all that sort of stuff. But no. Give me a spell. That's like me saying I'm tired. Come on mate. We both wake up at 9am. You've been watching the Tour de France plot? I've seen a little bit of it. Just a little bit. That I've been a little bit. I've been a little bit. Today I'll be listening in his rest. Or not in the throw stones. We're not in the throw stones that are an accusations that haven't been in the previous. Nico. No, no state of origin this week. So we've got your full attention on the podcast. Yeah, well, kind of wish there was no state of origin last week the way that it all panned out. Anyway, I've moved on. Sort of. Any show for this week. Any grow ups this week. Anything that's grinding your gears or anything you want to get off the chest? Melbourne traffic. Again. It's just getting worse than the week. It should just be a true testament to how much I love doing this for our people and for you too, because it's starting to become the worst part of my fucking week. It's starting to become the worst part of my week is the drive into this town. Because it's ridiculous. It's getting worse and worse. And the word as not even raining. We've been doing the podcast. This is week number six. I've had five weeks where I've just really wanted to. Lose my shit. There's two. There's two Nico. Lose my shit. It's over now. He's not as bad. But I've given I've given you two in the square J.H. And you've already used up yours. In your first sentence. You've still got a bit of weight. Take your overs. What are we talking? What are we talking? Travel time wise. Because you're coming from packing them all the way into here. Sian. Are we talking a bit over in the air? A little bit. A good week has was 53 minutes. Yep. And tonight was another hour and 36. How can they be that different? I would love to know Ben. And if I did know. It's big as belief. Like fear enough, the first couple of weeks. We had a bit of rain. I can understand that because people just can't drive. And it rains. It rains. They panic. They just lose their head. But how there's the last two weeks. Like last week was the worst of the lot. It was an hour and 43 minutes. An hour and 46 minutes. And tonight was horrible too. I just I don't understand. Why? How? Too many people looking at accidents on the other side. But tonight I didn't ever see an accident. Like I went a different way because there was a couple of accidents on the main arterial. But it's still shit. There's four. That's enough about the traffic. No. Like it's it's you wouldn't know, mate, because you've been on the bus or the on the train on the train, like whatever. It's just it's just. Yeah, but what are you going to start driving, mate? You're also having in here every week. 30. So it doesn't matter. Like it really just ruins my mood. Like I have I've had such a. I've had a pretty good week. And then I just drive in here. This is one of my favorite parts of the week during the podcast. Hang in shit on bot. There's four. Just having a good time. And it just really puts a lot of disdain in my mouth. Coming in knowing that I've got a deal with idiots on the road. And it's just like what? What about I? I should just say in my room and just. First world problems, but are it is? Yeah. It's not a two-minute drive. Like I'm like I'm like I'm like I'm like I'm like I'm planning over spilled milk. It is a shot. It's a long way. And it's an even longer way with idiots on the road. But that was your public transport. Yeah. Yeah, excellent mate. Pretty simple. Let's let's get on to our development of yours during the week. And there's a new Betsy segment. Oh yeah. And he's a weekend at bots instead of weekend at Bernies. And you've been doing it. A very good bots look a little bit different to what they say in the article. A very comprehensive sort of recap of the weekend. Tell us how that came about and where punters can find it. Oh well I just message Matt. I probably about a month or two ago before I went to Japan I was like I kind of want to do a bit more. Can I do a review thing? And then it sort of happened to took a while because I went to Japan obviously. And after that I just started doing it and they all that. I don't know. It went through and whatever. And you know I thought it was pretty good. It's comprehensive. It's like took about 13 minute reads. So I have to release an audio book. But. Could that for me please? You've got the attention span of it. No I just don't waste 13 minutes reading from all of you. You can't even read it. I can't read it. I'll be honest I was very selective of which parts I read of the article. But well done. Maybe I need a shorten in a little bit. But I like writing and I like writing about horse racing. So you like writing. You don't like speaking. No. Well it's alright. I'm getting a little bit better. I've got improved. No you've got a lot better. Yeah. I'd hate to listen to some of my first publics. That is saying something. Speaking of recaps, let's get to some of the performances last week. We'll just spend five minutes on this. Angel's Fury was a good winner of the two year old race. Look there was a strong northerly win there at their at Corphea wasn't there botan. A lot of horses didn't want to be wide punching the breeze and that's what she did. I thought it was still quite a dominant performance to beat Portonari. But you said you just want to temper expectations with the rating. Yeah. I think that the northerly wasn't quite as strong at the start of a day and also. Yeah. I mean it was only this like it was the shoot. So being wide necessarily isn't a massive disadvantage. It was just the fact that the wind was hitting a you know face. It was a good win that you could might be able to upgrade. But I just want to temper it a little bit. I think I noticed that she was quite short and some some markets for the Cornwall. And I don't think what she's done thus far. Why aren't sort of the I don't know. I can't be wrong. But I think the general consensus is sort of pushing her to a level that she might not be like. I'd sort of you know maybe maybe point Barrow would be like a fair. Similar sort of comparison for the two of them what she did last last spring. So maybe like a very different favorit and I could play she did but that was in the autumn. But you know like maybe red red roses if she doesn't quite make it to the cool. Well I'm sure she'll be there like it is July to says a long way until then. But you know she's a really nice filly. But they didn't beat much the time was good. Not great. Wasn't the wasn't the market move sort of interesting. We both made our best bet at around $2.40 so pat on the back for that. Well they were scratching. There were a couple I think what do we grab we grabbed a bit of 2.6 and then some deductions small to come off that. No deductions at bet 360 which was fantastic but she started to get out in the market didn't she. She got out to even money about 5-10 minutes before the day. No it was about 10-15 to 10 minutes before the day. jump, she was probably like $1.70 and then she just, she just, she was easy to back. She was 220. I wasn't that. She was very easy to back at that point in stage. Then she was heavily supported in betting at the death and she started about $1.70 in the end. We had friends at bet 365. Absolutely. So it was a good crunch late. So that was the first leg of the podcast multi last week. The second leg was deckalog and they've gone an absolute walking tempo. Now, man, you know, arrogance looking over his shoulder left and right in the first. Yeah. That wasn't as bad as like people are blowing up about that. It wasn't great. But like, I just think, I just think once the horse is outside later and it is overracing, even though you have been given instructions to try and get a little bit of cover into this headwind, I reckon he's, he's an apprentice jockey, three kilo clamar. So you can't be too harsh on him, but he got it wrong. Like you've got to let the horse stride and get it to get into its action. He's boxed it in. It's got in like supercane and then he switched back to what could be considered the sort of machine theory a part of the truck as well laid on. It was horrible. Yeah, it was a horror show. I, I think you just put the pen through that performer. Absolutely. It's not like you have to notice as well. Like the steering support, the stable and the jockey said that it was. I'm just saying, like they were the, that was the stable's instructions to find cover in the sort of dress behind the speed. That's exactly what he did. The horse got keen. You know, the pace was really slow. He did what the stable instructed him to do and like, you know, he's a three kilo clamor at the end of the day. We know he's very good. But he is still a three kilo clamor working for Kirin Mahar and Jack Turmal. No, I, he, he did what they told him to do and it didn't work and that's the end of the story. And he wasn't, he wasn't like, I, he was pretty easy to back and I don't think he was, I don't know, like I thought he was fairly plain over the last 200 metres. And that was in the background. Yeah, but how much is a horse that you, you can't ride for it. He doesn't really have a turn of 40s. He's just got a, I think he's just, but also when a horse has been overracing for 800 metres, how much does that take away from the finish? Yeah, that's a hard one to sort of. He's gone 12 friends in the ring with him. Yeah, he's pulling him up. Probably have very sore arms after that. Like, but see, to me, I just don't understand how that was ever the instructions from the camp because he was back in the wind. Yeah, but, but I think the instructions, there's there's your third one. I think, I think you're out of tickets now. Yeah, but to me, I just find it absolutely stupid that that was the tactics because the horse is coming back in trip. We've seen enough staying races in this state for long enough. It's just, it's just baffled me regardless of the wind. Like he could have gone in front and still gone slow enough that can't have acted the wind. And that still has to be a better theory and a bit. I think a little bit, I think a little bit is on the stable. They've got to say 100% the instructions plan a, try and find some cover. There's a strong, norvely wind. It's punching us in the face. He should have led. That should have been the way he had it. If the horse starts pulling its head off because they're going too slow, then you've just got to ride the horse where it's comfortable. Correct. And that was not pulling its teeth out just because it wanted to cover back in the field. Yeah. Should have been okay. The horse is pulling the horse is getting too keen, which is what, you know, look at the run last time at Flammington. He went so good because James let him go and they didn't fight the horse and let him get in a rhythm and let him get comfortable. And he finished off the way that he did. He still could have rolled to the front, even though it was windy, going to control tempo that wasn't him out of his comfort zone. And that would have been a far better option than what they decided to do. It was also worth noting that no horse, the Andrews fear was the closest horse of the lead to win on the day and she was third. You know, but how, but how slowly did that go? Pulling his teeth out, going forward in second sectionals. That didn't exactly help you finish off either. So good luck to him if they want to ride for cover and pull his teeth out because that kind of been a better result than going forward and just being the horse in a rhythm. They did also win the race. So, sure, that was fine. So you tell me it was a bike race? No, each new someone the race, it was also with the care of it. Yeah, that's what I'm telling you. So the $2.50 favorite who was given no hope, it was a bike race because the state mate won. So we're in Europe now, are we? Let's move on. The cunning for Snipe on Sunday was very good. So I'm at pissed off because the two other horses that I really liked for the weekend was the horse that won the first in Brisbane, Apex Predator and the cunning fox. But I couldn't really have it in as a, yeah, we're not going to take a Sunday horse in the multi. We couldn't have a Sunday horse as a podcast multi and didn't really want to take a horse that I won a maiden last time in the podcast multi. So I just think my hand up, I also didn't think Decalogue was going to be ridden that way. It was my fault the multi got beat. Right horse, wrong result last week. We move on this week. We'll be on the back. 100%. What's your quick summation of the cunning fox? Because we ended up getting a good price better than $3. I'm bet 365. I think we got $3. 20 a month. My summation was that Saturday was all forgotten about Sunday because it was very heavy grin. That was like a heavy 11. Well, that was the only real knock that he's a horse that goes better on, better going than a heavy 10. And yeah, it didn't really matter. Tommy gave me a good ride. He did smash the last. He did smash the last, but they all probably did smash the last. So yeah, probably didn't matter. But that was a good win from him because, yeah, first up conceding fitness, but he was a weighted certainly in a race like that. First up over the jumps, but he did over the jumps. First up over the jumps. Yeah, what I'm saying, like, you know, first up, obviously, obviously over the jumps, but he was given away some fitness like any winner been a very sort of solid horse, his preparation. Artichan is getting better as the season goes on. He's still not completely trustworthy, but like, you know, any win was under pressure 600 or 800 to go and was in a world of hurt and he had the dirty suck on their backs. So yeah, it's just it just bones well for the cunning fox and where he goes for the rest of the preparation. So it's a name to be all right. Yeah, well, yeah, whether they choose to go to the Grand National hurdle at Sania next week or they just go straight to be all right. This depends on what paddy's got in mind for him, but obviously, hopefully it does go to Sanian. He was the on Gatid, we'll touch on. He was good in the maiden chase. He can be somewhat competitive. So hopefully we see some of these horses actually want to race in these people chase races. We don't have another diabolical disaster like we did last week with Stern not having anyone to take him on. So, yeah, Nasak Diamond, I think we can safely put the pens through her. She's a horse that is probably looking to do something else at this stage of her career. So yeah, anyway, good jumping for the next sort of month or so as we close out the season. Yeah, the only other news item I wanted to quickly touch on is that the Hong Kong horses of the year was awarded this week and it wasn't just the horse of the year. It was the horses of the year. For the first time in Hong Kong, in the Hong Kong Jockey Club's history, they've awarded joint winners. So they are sitting on the fence getting splinters. They've awarded it to both romantic warrior and Kaying Rising. In terms of their Hong Kong form, I think romantic warrior went eight out of eight. He was absolutely outstanding. He won the triple crown and Kaying Rising went six out of six. He also obviously won the Everest down here as well. But what are your quick thoughts on that? I think you've got to award it to one horse, don't you? You can't just be sitting on the fence there. It should have just been Kaying Rising straight out. Surely. He's the best horse in the world. I don't know. I mean, romantic warrior is already one one. So it's not like they're one or all. It's not like a Bonson Pali situation where he's like the best player in the AFL for the last however many years and he still doesn't want to brown low. So he's got one. I feel like they did want to upset anyone, Nico. Yeah, well, there's probably a good case to be made that that's the train of thought. But yeah, if they're not going to get there, yeah, it is horse of the year. But to me, they're both absolute superstars champions, both champions, correct? And you could make it case for both. Like Kaying Rising is the world's best horse, the world's best sprinter. Has lost the race all preparation and romantic warrior won the triple ground. Like, you know, he's travelled in one over the course of the year like, you know, you can make solid arguments for both. I'm less upset than other people that there's horses of the year, but you know, it is horse of the year. But to me, like, I don't really have a problem with them having both of them because they're the two best horses in Hong Kong, arguably two of the best horses or the two best horses in the world. I don't have a problem with it, but I can see why people would. Yeah. And I've got no knocks on romantic warrior, but yeah, Kaying Rising, he's the clear top dog right now in Hong Kong. All right, the only other thing there was no social clips last week that we did have a couple technical to technical difficulties, but hopefully it's all good to go this week. Quick time for a promo. The winnings plus boosts, Jens is going to be races one to six at Flemington and Rose Hill this week. So just the two tracks, but adding a couple more on which they did for the first time last week. And we've got rid of Queensland. So I don't think anyone's, I don't think anyone's arguing with that. I think it's a good way to go. Yeah. Let's get into the racing now Flemington rail is about three meters. It's currently a soft seven. It's clear over the next couple days in terms of no rain. The wind is going to be very light, but and it doesn't look like it should play like anything other than. typical Flemington. Yeah, correct. It's between a 7 and a 6 and no wind to speak of at all. Rows out three, it should be just perfect racing surface for a winter Saturday at Flemington. Beautiful. Well, the first race is the Braille handicap. 1800 meters and it is for our two-year-olds. 1800 meters. Is that about as far as two-year-olds together in Australia? Yep. Copa Nyan, $1.80 in favor. That's how you pronounce that. It's a bit difficult when you're reading it. From $0.05 to $3.80, Delara is $4.60 and Aiki Breakey Heart $8.50. We may as well read them all out. Stunning Kitty is $71. So it's only a five-horse field. And interestingly here, but despite there being a few fluctuations up and down, every horse in this race in the bet 360-5 market is back to their starting or opening price. Yeah, really. OK. I price every race at Flemington, except race two. And the way I price this race is essentially the exact same as the market, but I've got the top two flipped. I just think that race at Flemington, the Taj Rossi Final was not particularly any good. I don't think Copa Nyan's an absolute certainty to run 1800 meters as well. Notified set wide without coverage. It's two starts at the ballerets synthetic. And that might be some sort of advantage itself, because you're not getting the kick back in your face. But you're still traveling wide. This horse-- I ran a really nice riding there last time, and I think is an out-and-out oaks, Philly, and I think that she-- I think there could be just-- like, I know it's a five-horse field. They could just be a little bit of speed here. There's a little bit of an urgency for Stunning Kitty to come across Copa Nyan or lead in Delara or put itself up there as well. So they might not just go walking Galapal although it is quite a big possibility of the Nike Brachyhardt notified or be behind them. I just think-- I just think-- don't notify. He's like an absolute certainty to run the trip. And there's just a few of these that I might-- Delara is 1300 up to 800 meters out of a really slowly run race at Sandan. It's an awful setup for it. And it's not bred to run the trip whatsoever. And Copa Nyan is-- he's willows on. He'll lead. He takes a lot of boxes. But I just think notified my belt to just run a number that we will just outdo him, I think. And I've marked it favorite. I've notified and I think it's a 240 chance. And they're bidding 380 with our friends at Beth365 at the moment. So that's a good bet. And I think it's probably the best bet of the day in podcast multi-selection. I love it. I agree to it. I agree to a certain extent. I don't know if I love it going in the podcast multi. Yeah. However, however, I do agree with the bet, Nico. And I will be having this horse on top as well. I'm probably not quite as keen as Bob, because Copa Nyan, he comes through all the right races. He's fourth up. He looks ready for 1800 meters. Whether he stays the trip is probably debatable. But if Star of Massadin had to come here, I would have marked him probably deep in the red. And I probably would have been happy to back him as an odds on chance. He ran third behind Star of Massadin and my Rubel last time around. But he does go up five kilos. So 54 to 59 here. He's got to carry the top weight. So he has been penalized for bringing the right formlines. And notified, I actually worked the race meeting where she won on the ballerat Sinto last time around. And you just get the, you just get the inkling that Aisha Alexander has a quite a big opinion of her. And I do think that she is an oaks fill in time as well. She's by Morris, one of my absolute favorites. Champion Japanese horse. She has become a decent stallion in himself. And yeah, $3.84. I'm happy to have it on top. Copa and Janz are one to beat, but it just looks short. She's well bred too. She's a grandam on the Myoclastic Flaminton. There you go. - Yeah, I can't, yeah. I don't know if he has to add. Just give it a strength for the podcast, won't he? Beautiful. Move on to race two. And it's another two year old event. And for me, this is probably close to the race of the day. 1,000 meters. It is a handy cap. And that means hard kick has been assigned 59 1/2 kilos. Jackson Bradley takes two off of 57 1/2. He's come up even money. Shorter than I thought he was going to go up from Penn Chanco. The Philly G-She was impressive on De Bu. $2.90. Speaking of Debuton's River Verena, Lulu is $6.50 and seen as the best hope coming to the races for the first time. And Dark Matter is $13.00. Leopard shark also worth mentioning at 26s. I'm going to kick off here. Hard kick is one of my better bets of the day. I think we will get a little bit better than the even money that is currently on off. I thought he was going to go up maybe $2.42.50. We haven't got that. But what we do know about Hard Kick is his talent was one of the better rating performances of any two-year-old last preparation. Obviously, guess how soon the sleeper was number one. Then he had the likes of wall woven paradoxium. They were all around the 95, 96 mark. And he ran to 95, led them at a strong tempo, put basically three lengths on Zem Barles. They ran fifth in the sires and then fourth in a champagne. I think he is a very smart type. I loved his recent jump out beat in Cruiserweight. Cruiserweight was another horse you won impressively last week, the stable mate. And I just think he's going to go to the front again. He's already got the straight track form and I think he wins. Penchenko, I'm dead set, stiff scared of. But she ran a decent rating on debut there at Bendigo as well. But I think there is still just that question mark between the class differential between the two. And for me, it's Hard Kick on top. And is the granddaughter of the Grabster full time? Like Aviar. There you go. Andchenko, what was your sort of summary of this racepot? My summary is that I thought it was way too hard and I didn't even bother with it. I thought Hard Kick, the format of that talent that has just been awesome. IZam Barley's was fourth in the blue diamond. Grinsing a heart, one the VRC-Size and Diamond. It was one the Furnill and then was second in the, what do you call it? The mile group one in Sydney. - Sherepane. - The Sherepane, that one. Yeah. So the form there stood up really well. Time was good that round. Strong time. He's a really nice horse. Penchenko gets what? Four kilos. Yeah. Four kilos off a bolted in a bendigo. It was back there too, I think. And Riveranna Lulu looks like an absolute bomb at the jump out. So, are we a little bit worried about Hard Kick? If he is targeting a cool more stud stakes, that's going to be on Derby Day November or maybe the last week of October or around there. Well, is that the goal? I'd assume it is, but like, if that's the goal, that's a long way away from the goal. If that's the goal, why are we kicking off here? Well, that's what I'm half confused by because. So, I mean, I just don't think there's the gloss on the cool more that. Because he's a galding. He's not going to be worth $20 million and go on a stud. Just run him. If he gets to the cool more, he gets to the cool more. Like, it's a good race to win for decent prize money, but I don't see this horse as racing in future in Australia for. You think you could be a Hong Kong prospect? I'm not saying he will be. David, I ain't saying it. He's a David. He's there. Something to say that could be that the horse is just. Extremely fresh at home and they just need to get a run out of him. Possibly, but I'm still happy to back him if that's the case. Yeah. He's trial was good. I think they'll just cash in for what they will. You know, there's a sense of. They've raced them for good money now. Just pick off what they can. That, yeah, as I alluded to, the gloss of these a-golding, so it's not like, you know, they're trying to. Build a CV for stud career purposes. Yeah, the failure was good, but I know that. The form out of Hardkicks' talent, that is proper. He's handled this straight. They feel he went good, but was a heavy track at Bendigo. Again, it's probably far lesser opposition than. What Hardkicks form sort of suggests to my eye? And, yeah, I thought, you know, we'll probably get in touch better, but I'm really keen to be with Hardkick. I think the feeling deserves respect, but it's apples and oranges to me, the form. And, yeah, that's what I'm basing my selection off. At least I know he's going to handle the straight. He's got good form. I mean, there's a bit more guesswork with the fillies. I'm happy to be in Hardkicks' corner pretty heavily. Beautiful. Let's move on to race three. It's benchmarked 78 over the mall, and it is restricted to the fillies and mayors. Medea has come up $3.60 here off the fail. From changing colors, $4.00, I thought it was pretty good first up. Lake Vostok's been $9.00 into $7.50. Katnawai $8.50 in Sweet Jasmine. It's been the drift up, $7.50, $9.00. Medea, but gets the blinkers on first time here at start number 12, and did pull up lame last start. So is that your genuine excuse? Well, it was lame and also was in made a run that you didn't want to make on the day. It was sort of that wide looping run there at Corefield that was not the place to be on the day. I think they're going to roll forward and lead this time. I think they're going to look to be really positive on it. Blinkers go forward. I think they're going to push the button and go forward on it. And if they do, I think it wins. Changing colors is the main danger. I think Lucy Yomens is a phenomenal trainer and one you want to be finding. She's extremely profitable from a small sample size and she only had 44 runners. How good is it going to be when Blakeshine returns and starts? It's riding for her. Amazing. Do you know how much-- oh, so much money. Barbie's Dream World, I'm giving another chance. I backed it last time was heavily. supported there at Flemish and only second up. I think it'll improve out to a mile. I think it'll also roll forward. And then pretty much otherwise, I'm just pretty much, I'm very similar as the market here. I think changing colors, although I'm kicking up for it a little bit, I think is under the odds. I think it's an $8 chance just because it needs to improve that little bit from its first time. It was good, good sectionals too, but I think it needs to make that jump and maybe it can, but I think it's going to be maybe locked away on the inside. I think it's probably going to be a tricky map for it from Barry 3. It doesn't have a whole lot of Barry speed. Maybe it's the one that you want to back third up out of this race, but I think Medea, I've marked it 350. What price are we? With 16, you get a little bit better with the boost. So I think, yeah, well there you go, you can get a little bit better with the boost or you can wait and set it out. I hope maybe you might get four dollars. So I think I'll be in Medea's corner if we, if we do get four dollars on on Saturday, Medea, the one for me in race number three. Hopefully. They were clear top two for me. Medea, I think you can easily forgive that last up performance, but although changing colors that flume didn't run, didn't rate all that well, I do think it's a good race to follow. Stylish, Missaria, Dutch S2, you look at the form out of it. Eight subsequent starters, three winners, two second places, and a third placing. So the rating wasn't anything flashed there. She did get in light at the weights, which has something to do with the weight for adorating, but yeah, I do think there's more to come from that horse. So I might be changing colors on top. Hopefully we get a little bit better. And how well is Jackson Radley riding at the moment? He, like last 50s, 10 from his last 50, outperforming the market significantly 82% return on your investment. He's airborne and probably has something to do with the, the Hayes stable is riding for the moment also performing really well. We keep talking about James Johnston, but he's going just as well if not better at the moment. So I'm liking what he's doing. He's got a bit of Ben Malam about him in his demeanor. I'm not talking about his riding or jockey ability, but just look at the facial expression he makes in his post-race interviews. And there's a bit of Ben Malam in Jackson Radley. I also just want more, sorry, Storm season I gave a chance to as well. I think he can prove massively third up onto a little bit better surface. Yep. Nico, anything there? We're happy to move on. All right, let's move on to race four. What do we got here? It is, sorry, it is over 1400 meters for the three year old fillies. And Laura Liza absolutely destroyed them last time. $3.20. She'll go forward again with Willowon from Miss Upper Hens six dollars brings up beautiful beachwear formline. Off their perch is $8 and Cherishme is $9. The Vita could be backing up as well. $10. A very, very intriguing runner. But what did you make of the Vita last week? She didn't land in a position we thought she was going to. No, I thought she was for sure going to leave, but they went at a brutal pace there. I thought she was fine without being good. I like that she backs up, but I marked her $9.00 price as she $10. The favorite Laura Liza is really interesting. And I feel like a few years ago used to get $8 for a horse like Willow Liza now, not so much. She's heavily supported and favorite. And I think she's the right favorite of Marked of 460, but I think that price is too short. I really liked what she did at her second start at sale. Heavily supported just went straight to the front. The pace wasn't as strong as it looked though. And the second horse actually finished quicker than it over the last 400 meters. Just like Willow goes on, I think it should be favorite. I just a little bit, can't get it so short. Miss Upper Hens, $6.00 about that price. Off their perch can improve, Marked to $8.50, $8.50, or $8.00, something like that. Yeah. That's not something. I'm about the same as Marked, apart from the fact. So obviously Miss Upper Hens ran second to Beechworth last time around. What separated them there? Was it just the fact that Beechworth, his late spits were so much better than her? Well, yes, he ran faster than her. That's probably. Sorry. No. What I'm getting at, is Beechworth was a bit for you last week at $17 and Miss Upper Hens isn't a bit for you here with good ratings here at $6. Yeah, I just. It's a tampering that rating a little bit. Maybe I was a little bit too confident at last time at a bit of a Beechworth. I don't know. Actually, he could run to it, but also a little bit. Yeah, I'm just. I'm just. I'm just. I just don't have a lot of confidence in the race. Well, the race that I don't have any confidence in is race five. It's a three-year-old handicap over 17, 100 metres. It's $6.50. I saw this race come up halfway through the card and I said, I'm going to skip you. Skip button straight on, lunchtime, flying car, $6.50 from Zebra Finch, $7.54 on $8. Sensory is $9 and the main Fidler is $10. But you've got a minute and a half. All right, Mark Zebra Finch favourite. I think it should be favourite. I think it will start favourite. I think flying car is a dodgy favourite. Big odds at Filimington last time. I came up the inside, had the right run. I think it'll drift from that price and start closer to $10. Jimmy Beans is the one I want to back or one of the ones I want to back. This horse had a bit of opinion on this horse. It was good on day-brew and heavily backed at Corp. The Corp. Heath was on Super Bowl Day actually. It was there. It didn't get the cash there. Just got nutded out of a finish and then has been good in two runs. One easily last time at sale. I think it's been looking for this sort of distance now. Obviously with Clayton Douglas after the Fribon situation, Blink has gone on. I also want to be on Zebra Finch and then I'm pretty much marked away from that. Beautiful. We'll move swiftly onto race number six. And it is the day's feature. The Dean Leicester Filimington Cup over the 2800 metres. Now, no golden ticket for this race. Is it an open cup? No, no. You'd hope not. Highland Blaise. Well, you've seen some of these races actually come up pretty average. These golden ticket races, but no, this is not one of them. Highland Blaise is our favourite $4.20 G. He was a good winner last time. He's got to go up slightly in the way. It's bold, sole $4.60 meets him a little bit better from Black Run. It brings the DF also $4.60 and I'm a trinkling of support. Samuel Langhorn is $8 and Tijanis is $10. But you, if you think you've found an unbelievable bet here. I think this is a very basic horse, but you take it away. I think Black Run should be favourite and quite decisively, so I think it should be inside $3.00 and be, I think we will be well backed. Against Wild Blaise, who won last time, one well, I've marked it double figures and I think it'll drift. Not drifted double figures, but I think it will drift. Black Run is a phenomenal bet. He'll put himself up on speed and the markets expected him to do some good things this preparation. Went way too fast last time. I think if you average out the pace there, I think he's, yeah, I just, I think he gets a, not an easy time of it. I want him, I want a little bit of pressure. I want him to run along a little bit. Not as fast as last time. No, not as fast as last time, ideally. I think he is also looking for this sort of distance. Maybe a little bit too slow for 2400 metres. Like last preparation, you came over to Corefield. And he was off the bed at about 600 metres. They were cool. He just kept finding it. What a win that. When you back one like that and they just off the bed at that 600 and they just keep finding it's just the best. Best. Gross. No. That's just the best thing. It's just absolutely nothing better. You've actually probably just been kissed. No. To be fair. No. Your horse just kept finding when it kept being asked to. It's just the best. Black Run though, phenomenal bet. I might pay a lot of it. I marked it 260. The connections of this horse, they better take a photo at the 400. Because it'll be in front there. Yeah. Well, you watch it'll be back into three dollars. It won't be in front of the first. To be like the horses that just lead the Melbourne Cup, the first lap around. The owners take a photo. Take a photo at the first time past the past. And if we were, I'd tell anyone that it was the first time. If it were up to me, this, this would be in the podcast multi as well. But you can't go from having no selection in the podcast multi to two. Well, my selections of all one recently. So what, what, what should, oh, you've had my Rubo, my angel's fury. You've gone back to back to be fair. You've gone back to back. Yeah. Now he's getting ahead of himself. Yeah. Well, no, I'm just, I'm just saying I deserve my place. Cruiserweight one as well. You can't just claim another one in your head. Yeah. That's not the other's work. Cruiserweight was never actually in the conversation, but it's a personal dissection. That's like the cutting fox one on his hunger. Nico, any thoughts on this race? Like, I thought Harlem blaze. He was mighty good last time. Should I, should I had Western star in the, in the podcast multi last Wednesday? Western miss. Well, last race at Elmont. Yeah, while we're at the pub. I don't think the punters are getting onto that one. Well, this is exactly what pots run. All of them blaze. I don't think, I don't think he's any query at 2800 metres. He, I just don't, I just don't really have an appetite to back him. Yeah. He'll take their turns in this race. He was double figures last time around. I had a very tiny bet on him last time, but, um, yeah, this is not a race I'm that keen on. I wouldn't be surprised if any of the top three won. Oh, back virtual circle, too. Of course. Oh my god. I just have to ask you. I just $18. - I just have to. - How are people backing Virtua Circle? It's 19 into 13. - I'm just seeking that. - Tell me how. - I just have to. If he wins and I'm not on, it's just. - There must be like a Virtua Circle group chat out there. Every time. He's running again, Lads. - Virtua's jerry. - Back up the truck. - Virtua's jerks. - Oh my God. That's my wife. - Ray Seven, benchmark 88 over the 1200 meters. Barari, gee, this horse is just flying, isn't it? - James takes three kilos off with $3.20 from Moby Dick. $70 to $8.50. He doesn't mind getting his turn in the truck. He doesn't mind getting his, anyway. Piaestry is $10 from Wolfe. He also $10 and Royal and Sydney are $11. - I'll go first. - I'll have in a bit. - Go on. - I'm keen to be with Barari. 51 after the claim for James. As much as he's going really good, James, he's put in a couple of stinkers the last few. So I do want to see my man bounce back. He didn't really give emphasis. The son of very good's the end of the day. Deca log last week. He was the other horse city road that got beat late in the car. - Angels fury. - Ten commandments. - Yeah, ten commandments. That was partly not his fault, but it was still yuck. But this should just be a much easier ride for him. He was hold on, point in the shoots, sort of stuff. And hopefully it's fine to bookie. Sets up well, Barriest Six. Just looks very well weighted after the claim. And yet it's racing of sort of a few horses that are hardly scary. They all sort of mix their form a little bit and yeah, she's probably the most consistent of them. Just out of the placings last time had been going through the grades really well. I like the jockey change, the drop in weight. Yeah, looks a good set up for Barri on Saturday. - Deca is just listing James Johnson's recent loss. He had two winners on Saturday and one today. - Colin, all of them. - I've just outlined that he've had a few bad rides. - Colin. - There's been his most recent. So I want my man to jump back into the form that he was once. - He was once. - He was once before those rides. - He's gone right. He's just had a couple stinkers. - Yeah, but you're only as good as your last in this game. - Yeah, only good as your last ride. - And today was 14 second section was up the hill at Sandit. - Only as good as your last tip as well. Speaking of tips, maybe Dick. Any chance? (laughing) - Hold on. - Yes, I'm off. - He's happy with himself, but I'm lonely. - That's not bad. - It's one of your best to work, mate. - I'm on my straight best. (laughing) - I'm marked at $8, I think it can, I think maybe Dick's best suited fast. What's Garf saying? - He's a butt buddies. - He's similar to me saying that he thinks he needs a fast, fast pace, 1200 meters down the straight. That's his absolute best scenario. - So what is he gonna get? - I'd be surprised if it was fast. - Yep. - Probably average to slow, which is not ideal. So hopefully he can push a little bit more forward and the winkers do go on as well. So maybe that's a little bit more of a side of intent. So hopefully he'll be able to push him a little bit further forward. I think Barari definitely has to be a favor to mark at 420, just a little bit short, that price I think. Wolfie, highly interesting as well. Back at the Sandown Lake, start, last two starts. - I get beat up by Wolfie. - Well, he's airborne at the moment. - Where was his last win, Bob? That's actually the aim of this game. - 446 days here. - There you go. - Right. - He runs well, doesn't win. - Exactly, that's the thing. He'll be back near last and running on and probably what will be a slow to average race. But he has to have a price and I marked him $10. So yeah, I'm probably back, maybe Dica, if he keeps drifting and good luck to Tyson and Adrian. And so do they. - Yep, no, good luck to them both. Obviously, I think Barari's going very, very, very well. - Very well. - And Barari's got to be your starting point. I would love a little bit better, whether I make him an official bet, I'm not sure yet. But this horse is four from seven over 1200 meters. So he's really found his right distance range now. He was momentarily held up as well last start. Like just in quite the right run. He'd already beaten Wise in law, who won that race. One last Chris Wick, the start price. So everything looks pretty rosy for Barari, just a matter of what price you're willing to take. Let's move on to race number eight. And this is the John Rowlands, or Rowlands benchmark 100 over 2000 meters. Think John at $3.40 into $3.20, in an import who was pretty good on his Australian debut from Nali Lailaq's $6. St. Kim, he said there, just awesome last time around. St. George has been a drift, he has to have to eight glory days is $10 and bankers choice. $12. And if you're mentioning bankers choice, you've got to mention the old boy Smokin' Romans as well at $13. But think in giants, what did you make of his run last time? That was over 1700, so you really should appreciate getting out and trip. - Ha, he was very good. And he has good form overseas too. He was put in a group one in Germany, beaten, but still raced in a group one over there. Was in the market there at Corefield, was a drift hour, but was in the market. Now he's been heavily supported early. That's a sign of intent. I marked him 3D 70. I'd love to be on his, the only horse I want to be on this race, the only horse, actually, but probably one or back star of India too. But the only horse I really want to back is think giant, just could back anything else. Hopefully, you're driven. - Oh, yeah, such a bought horse. - Yeah, I think star of India was just sort of, again, was in the wrong part of the track, making that looping run there at Corefield, eased out of it, no interest before that. He started $8 there, and the start before that was really good there at Flemington over 2,000 meters. - I mean, days for it, Ben. - 389 days. - And John McNeill, good luck. - Oh, wait, sorry, which one? - Star of India. - So I was looking at the favorite thing. Star of India, 266 days. - Yeah, yeah, so hopefully we'll get $4 think giant and we'll back star of India at 20s. - It's the move. - You can have one. - That's the new year. - You can have one on Cox Play Day last year. - You can have a longer star of India. - You can have one on the star of India with me. - Look, I thought Nali Lailax, there wasn't too much wrong with his last start. We're not absolutely bolted in beating bankers choice in Smok and Roman. You're getting $6. Bots telling me you might even get better. I think he maps for an outstanding run. And although he goes up a few kilos, you do get Ruan Houston taking two off. So a little bit of weight relief there. I think he's a good H way prospect, and I'd be surprised if you missed top three. Think giant, he was great first up, but I do have my little reservation, Nico, and sometimes imports, they go well fresh. They're off a long break. Second up, they can just be a little bit flat and you want to find them third up. - Yeah, I agree. I sort of didn't really want to give up on St. George just yet. I thought he was good last time. The steps are 2000 meters is good. I would have preferred my man on board, not the pause, but the pause is going well. - No, no. - No, James Johnson, you're tall. You try and cap me to not swear, and you bait me with shit like that. - Is he back on Saturday? - I don't know. Hopefully not. - Oh he is. He's riding the Doctor of Love. - Yeah, well, I hope it wins. - Yeah, well he's no good either. Just like the rider. Pods takes three off. Steps are 2000 meters is good. I hope the horse keeps drifting because I'm happy to be with. I think soft six ground will be good for this horse. Doesn't like it too wet. Doesn't like it too dry. It's a bit temperamental. It's a bit like bot. But me temperamental. - And it's actually great. It's exactly what happens to my hair after sitting in the studio with you everywhere. - You spent the first 10 minutes the podcast blowing up about traffic. - You wouldn't know what it feels like, bro, because you don't get traffic on the train. - A bit like bot. Does this horse randomly twitch all the time? - Yeah, come on, man. That's what I do. - It's hard twitches. It's hard twitches. Anyway, St George, not a really confident bet because I've got a few queries about it, but I'm happy to be with because the way that it's trending we might get close to double figures. So small bet for interest sake because all these horses like taking their turns a bit like the race area. So no real confidence, but good odds to have a little nibble. - All right, race nine, a benchmark 78 over 1000 meters. We've got equal favorites here. Street artists and next step, Iowa. Prima Bell has been five out to five 51 heart lady $10 and Liam McEleven dollars. There's not a whole lot of shopping here to be completely honest. Not a lot of these prices have moved. But, - Yes. - Street artists gets the blinkers on for the first time. I thought, I know like being wide at the Corfield shoot usually isn't a disadvantage, but they went fast and he wasn't just wide. He was like completely off the track. - Yeah. - I thought it was a good run. - Yeah, again, made that loop him run. You didn't want to make on the day. I think it's airborne this preparation. I think he's, I think he's just ready to run to a peak. Well, not a career peak, but a peak for the campaign anyway. But, again, too short. I think there's a 480 chance. Next step, Iowa looks well short to me as well. I don't know how it can be four hours. Did she, did next step, Iowa, ironically, not take the next step and get a little bit found out? last one? Well I don't know if she'd got found out I just think maybe maybe just a thousand meters only. Back to a thousand is a positive surely. Yeah I think she sort of ran up to win it and then just peaked and she goes decoder keen to Craig Williams which is a positive but I just I couldn't like there's no number for me to get it anywhere and I'm like giving her her absolute best and she's I marked her 750 I couldn't it couldn't no way could I get her four dollars. Nimbus 2000 was the one for me that I'm backing I think it'll follow next step Iowa. How excuses it's last three one runs was cut accurately with me a three-back at mornings and then just way too far out of the race it's sand down. Ran to third to basketball reward and beast mode and then again last time looping run a call field couldn't do it and now drawn wide down the straight you know perfect I think it's I think it's more like a twelve dollar chance compared to whatever price it is with bet 365. Beautiful all right it's a nine ten dollar chance of bet three two five. I'm gonna have straight artists on top I thought he was tremendous against the bias last starts and I do like the blinkers going on so I think four dollars is backable if we get better that's fantastic next step Iowa looks way too short for me but I think Mark Hunter owns a share in street artists. He does. So if we get the green light there on Friday I'll be even keen on you go. Yep. So there was a good ruffian this race it's coming from synthetic form which is the query from mine but Nick Ryan's horse number 12 L pip to your row with 53 and a half kilos on his back will be I think we'll have a good racing pattern for straight racing it sort of just settles sort of midfield just behind and has got a ripping turn of thought if this horse can handle soft ground in a race that's you know there's not the obvious I think this horse can run a race at odds and you must have it in your qualities and your multiples I think this horse providing it handles soft ground soft six to be too much of an issue this this horse can handle the ground the going I think we'll run a ball race in the last so something on it for me it close to 20 to 1. I don't mind that push actually he's been chasing cumbougles so like that's that's like the form like he's got to make a significant step up here 100% but he gets here 53 and a half you're right about the turn of thought I think he could be a straight track horse as well yeah by Japanese style yeah who is the Japanese or Neurolysm or oh Neorealism Neorealism I think it won a Hong Kong cup I think I think Frosty wrote it what's it doing producing squibs that run down balance and that it yeah doesn't matter because I think it's a good bet it was either a QE two cup or a Hong Kong cup I think I think I get on all right let's get on with it we're gonna go north of the border now let me just get it up I think we're only looking at one race in Sydney Niko to 7 or 9 all right we'll go to race number seven first and this is the Schwepp's handicap over 1100 meters ice cool is your $1.85 favorite you get to's with a bet boost from Roslyn star $5 way to the stars it's probably a leader 11's and Aviatius has been $19 into $13 we have the new colors and the new trainer I will just quickly say it's a soft five at the moment clear and fine conditions over next couple days and the rail goes one to four so the the truck played beautifully in the one meter position a couple weeks back hopefully more of the same but ice cool Niko a progressive sprinter it looks like a anocly plate sort of type next season could even be better than that whoo I think these horses this could be top shelf sprinter in 12 months time in Australia yeah this horse has been a good horse to us this preparation will be a good horse to us on Saturday an absolute living breathing moral I think it's a dollar 20 chance yeah this horse will just turn up a win this race I think it'll land in the one one and we'll just win tick over trial in between runs was in reverse couldn't have won by further if it tried this horse will just win so this is going to be my largest bet since stern idle in the broiler in May you must have roles in star marks 20s I'm having I'm telling you right now I'm having a proper proper bet on this horse that is fantastic I'm having just the the ca hernas the banana the works this will hurt the bookies and that will hurt my mate Brandon in the trading room I'm having a proper lump on this one brand this responsibly not responsibly just have the lot I love it ice cool I'm probably not quite as keen as Niko but I think he's a very progressive sprinter things didn't quite go according to plan last time he still got the job donny race wide without cover the form out of that race it's just been brilliant big red to keeler has won since that was offer a reasonably fast tempo as well she got the job done for us in the podcast multi petty coach has gone extremely close to winning only got knowsed out there at Realme as favorite his trial since he won by eight links in that trial and I think look he still does a few little things wrong but he's ready to know he's having weight for ages last two it's just it's just so monstrous when you adjust down to 52 and a half monstrous as the bags of cash in the arm and guard truck I think way to the stars will lead from barrier one and hopefully we can just be either outside lead or in the one one get your ball yeah way to the stars probably not not the not the worst show but he's got the 60 but yeah I think he might be slightly over the odds way out of the stars your beat us paid it's about it race nine is the winter challenge over 1,500 meters and yet again this race is run under handicap conditions no lost it's a lot of the most midnight dynamite's been four dollars 60 into three eight in the about three six five punters are very keen from general salute five dollars macaill seven dollars 50 in from tens cool jakey will go forward 17 into 11 so a good crunch there probably shouldn't have gone up 17 and more eternal and windshatter both twelve dollars a piece look at this race Niko and there's there's a lot of go forward horses the likes of cool jakey war eternal windshat I think midnight dynamite wants to be up on speed I think it would just be just behind yeah look that's my that's my selection you like midnight dynamite yeah I think he just gets a bit better of a set up this week I think general salute will sort of have to do a bit more work this time in from barrier 11 gets the couple of key to the penalty from winning last time I think midnight dynamite just gets a better set up hopefully can just get us just off the running transit and I think that can be the difference that you can overturn and end up winning the race on the weekend by no means is it a a chip in job but you're gonna get close to four dollars and I think it's just a nice nice wager so it came to have a little nibble on him yeah I might have something small in general salute I've been following him all preparation then I just did like 60 and a half kilos barrier 11 I could just see it it's a fair bit away but if the track is playing fair he'll be finishing off as hard as anything I wish I backed him and followed up last start I didn't so I'm a bit annoyed about that but yeah it's a nice race anyway we go over to Balmond where they do have a little bit of rain over the next couple days sort of be interesting I'm I'm thinking a soft track maybe not heavy but just in the sort of lower soft range race three at Balmond is the Balmond Classic over 2200 meters and it looks a two horse war ladies pro a dollar 70 from Westbound $2 40 special council $8 and it's $21 and longer the rest interesting thing about these two favourites is ladies pro is coming out of a very slowly run lead up whereas Westbound's coming out of the fast lead up in a small field you're thinking Niko they want I'll go a great pace here and that might suit the filly yeah well I was a little bit more excited when we were chatting she was and she was even money and then you'd told me it didn't that she was a dollar 70 I was a little bit disappointed but I still my my thought on the race hasn't really changed I still think they'll sort of go a pretty sedate tempo here if it is soft ground that won't worry her yeah she was brilliant last time ladies pro as I thought she would be and beat the high horse in the series and what and yeah I think Westbound is probably a better horse than than the horse that ladies pro beat definitely last time but I still think I still think she's really good ladies pro and I think sedate run race should just be colored in behind I think when the sprint goes on her turn a foot will be too good for Westbound and yeah I'm keen to play keen to play her would like a little bit better but I've if she doesn't get back out closer to black odds I've got a little a little multi that I will suggest the punters so she can be the second leg the first leg going on Friday at Mildura that will touch on in a second but yeah I still think ladies pros are phenomenal bet and yeah great race wouldn't surprise me to see Westbound winning but I think it would have to be bad luck to see ladies pro getting beat I think she's just a better horse and the class edge do you want to strike while the iron's hot and go over to your Friday race yeah race for number one bad blood obviously he's about $1.65 this is Milduria this is at Milduria barrier 4-12 millimeters benchmark 66 looks a fairly moderate race should just win again was brilliant first up for the preparation on the synthetic put up a good figure this was a horse obviously that I was tipped off about before it debuted at Stolen and one well on the It's first ever career start. So obviously had the break come back better, would be easy to think that the horse has improved second up for the campaign should be on a good track. So no issues there. It's handled the turf for forces, no issues there. Yeah, this looks a bit of a putty and takeout. Wouldn't surprise if it started running that $30, $35 mark I can see. It being a play for a lot of people in their multies to kick off the weekend and it's just a smart horse. It's going to go to better races than what it faces on the weekend. Oh, I'm on Friday. So yeah, that little double, we should get a good price. And yeah, if you're not happy to take the shorts, you can sort of get a bit more interest on your bit. Sweet and my midweek sort of special comes up tomorrow at Grafton in the cup. On Thursday, race seven, Grafton Cup over the 2350. It's your Ford as well. Awesome. King Pedro has been 220 into even money from pounding $6. He's still going around the old boy. He keeps running second, but very gaunt second. So you are $7.50 and co-ta-ten dollars and Eton Arosso $13. No surprise. I'm with the favor to you. We were with him. Last time is one of the better bets of the program. Look, that was a big new career peak last time. Weight-frared rating 96.3. He put three links on what must be said is inferior opposition, but he did it finishing fast. He started at $1.85 sort of around that mark. I've taken $2.40 for him here. I've got him marked probably the $1.92. So he is getting into his right price. This is a step up and grade, no doubt, but I just think he's going to go on with the job now. And a horse like pounding has got to give him four kilos at the weights three and a half. On the winner one, isn't it? As good as pounding is going. I think King Pedro, I think you win this. And I think there's a very real case that he's going to start favorit in a metronome. And pounding's race to win was last time. And what happened? He just didn't want to go past. Got beat by like it was a stronger race, but asterix. Like it's seriously turned it up. You can run well, great horse for connections. There's no denying that. Being a good horse over the time, but he just doesn't win races. And in this game of tipping and punting, unless you're backing them the place or you own them, what pounding is doing is not really profitable. The dangerous, probably, so you are Nico. We bring in the budget smuggle form. Little whisper to that horse is going to be on Baker. Well, speaking of the budget smuggler form, Black Run also brings a bit of budget smuggler form as well, but I. He does. Start to fix it. Maybe you Black Run wins, you should get in your budget smugglers. No, thanks. No, I want to say that. With all my, no, be. [LAUGHS] It's not a tetanum, there it is. What did you think of King Pedro? But did you look at that win at all last time? Last time. Because he could be a Corp your cup horse. Maybe. One, well, the thing I noticed is that beta horse called pinhole, who I remember running a race at Royal Ascot that I was, when I was last year, Royal Ascot. I was watching and there was this horse that was about 17s into $6 of death. And it was this horse. Didn't win, but just-- Things you remember. Things you remember. Things you remember. Do you have any mid-week specials? No. One more at Miljura, that we just did a touch on. I think in the last race, number 13, she's an ID. Barry had 12, 40-hundred meters benchmark. 66 was a good winner on the synthetic last time by close to three lengths, daughter of persons to learn from each freedman. I thought it was a fairly moderate race. The favorite deserves to be favorite is going well. But would not surprise to see this horse have a few grades in hand, and I think $7 is a very easy bit to have. So that's another play that I'll have at Miljura. That's probably one of the-- That's probably my best value of the weekend, because I don't really like too much. So that's race 8, number 13, she's an ID. But did you manage to see that horse's debut? Yeah, he poo-pooed it a little. I looked at it and he had some heck of a lot of rakes. Yeah, a lot of raking rations. Rating rations are run on grass. The rating was bad, but there seemed a bit of style about it. Yeah, well full credit. It would be full credit to me when it wins a $7. Podcast multi-time, we start with Bota. He's got two best bets in a row that have landed the last couple weeks. So he does stay in this week. But he's taking on an odds-on chance in the podcast multi this week. Oh, I'm not. G, if you-- I'm right. You reckon it's already won, has it? It's already won. Yeah, it's-- Tell us why you like this horse. It's race 1, number 2, notified. Yeah, it's notified. And I just think it's looking for 800 meters. I think it's an oaks-filly. Finneck off a later in the spring. And it's been wide at the ballerat synthetic. And it is synthetic. But I've liked what it's done on the clock. And I think it'll appreciate going up to 800 meters. And I just think that some of the opposition there is not looking for 800 meters and aren't going anywhere anytime soon. So taking on the favor, I think they should be switched. Well, if you can get this one home bot, then you secure yourself in the multi-ferre for maybe the next month. So when we kicking you out, never. I always choose one. We won last week, too. What about you? And you-- Never. I'm the king on the boss. We've got credits in the bank, mate. Yeah. Nick, we had two winning multis all year away. The life was good, actually, Chip. Nick, you and I, we're just going to go the two-legged this week for the podcast multi-earn I like the same horse. Race 7, rows to your number 10 ice cool. I'm going to let you do the spill, because yours will stand it more entertaining than mine. Yep. Race 7, number 10 ice cool. I think it's an absolute living breathing moral. Dollar 20, chance with me for everything I outlined before. This horse will win, and it will be point shoot, find your bookie Armageddon. Beautiful. Armageddon. Obviously. Lift that up. You've marked the race to 100%. I'll even do the little point shoot in the camera. That's all for the video. There won't be-- exactly like that video last week, but there's nothing to worry about sitting steered up. Beautiful. Skain. You've been good tonight, Nick. Yeah, it had a fun with us. He will be skiing. Had a fun, though. He will be skiing. Nick goes in a couple of lengths off last week, I reckon, but what? He needed to. He's performance of the podcast. Oh, I thought he's been. Yeah, well, just-- He's talked to him. My Sundays have been really good. I've actually been going reasonably well on the Saturdays, but my Sundays have been excellent to be fair. I've had to be fair. Well, I've been four from four, my last jumps. Well done. No post on Sundays, mate. Oh, yeah. Hopefully there's another four horse field this week just to find the winner of for my knockers. Hopefully someone understood that Harry Potter reference. Simon Alvis, let's get to question time now. The first-- My favorite time. A Twitter questions first. Hard kick into ice cool. Cheeky little multi-question mark. Hashtag plate. Yep. That probably would have been the podcast multi-file. If I didn't exist. Bot was still in Japan. Rowan Gregor, fine to Melbourne on Friday. What's the chance as a podcast multi-hits? And I can buy a penthouse in Docklands and retire at 36? Also-- Probably not very high. There's nothing to trust bot. Also, there's nothing wrong with a strong IPA or hazy IPA bot, especially Bolta. Exactly. If you sit exactly. No. No. They are lovely things. If you sit. Yeah. Is there like a Facebook group for craft VR people? It is virtual circle backers. The correlation between virtual circle backers. They have one screener, because they can't afford another one after it's good. This Saturday, flames an engraba Bolta and back virtual circle. What a time to be a-- A bet three, six, five, promo. Polkhouse multi, let's hope it lands. I don't think you'll be buying a penthouse in Docklands in a retiring at 36 if it lands. You can have a penthouse for the night. Yeah, maybe you can take hard kicking to go the treble. Then you want step closer to getting that penthouse. Well, we already know there's going to be some slips. There's going to be King Pedro in the bad blood into the podcast multi. I know that's going to happen. Let's be honest. Our listeners don't just go to the home page into the podcast multi. They're sickos. They want four legs, five legs, and they want it to pay 30 to one. Diesel. We love them. What showed more cow d'eyes? No one accepting to take on Stern Idol on the weekend. That was obviously in the Moss Trooper. Or bot jumping on having a joint best bet for the podcast multi. What? What? Well, I don't get a saying these things. Oh, God. I can't feel even a little bit. Sorry, I'm barely even allowed to have a selection in these things. To be fair to bot. Yes, that wasn't bot's decision to go to for us to have a joint best bet. But Nico, it would have been cruiserweight if I was-- Don't start. Don't start. Don't start. We have-- we've done the maths. Yeah. And the maths tells us that a three-leg multi is less likely to win than a two-leg multi. We've got two out of four of five. In the day, we both take this and it's a KPI factor. What doesn't really give a shit if he's whores. What doesn't care? So, Nico and I are both having 100 bucks on this multi. 200 bucks on this multi-bass. Forever that we turn up and we are making the decisions, we'll be calling the shots. I'll make that known to everyone that is-- Häftihog, get the feeling hard kick maybe overhyped and the bubble is going to burst his prep thoughts. I think he's the real deal. What do you think about-- It's a bold assumption. It's pretty good. I don't know. What are the expectations? It was one of the best. Well, put it this way. He was going to start favoring the blue diamond arc and if you run-- I reckon he would have. Like straight on the back up. Come on. He was there to favor it before they officially really met. He was six dollars. before maybe maybe or it can he would have started favorite did he's except in the blue diamond which is he just no no no there was told the decision they were going to pay up and then yeah it would have been late I would just a bit on a late nomination fee Niko you think he's pretty good yeah well the talent the only time that we've seen him at the races which is what you can base him off and I was off a fast tempo I like he was that's when you can stamp him a little bit and he's won it flaming that like Ryan Patton any concerns about the small fields in the jumps races this season outside the mountains that's obviously a question for Niko I know this chat is right up botally massive concern like you I don't really want to harp on about it now because we can rehash it at a later date but yeah I'm quite emotional about it because no lucky it's a serious matter like jumps racing is in a in a position that it doesn't need it doesn't need further pressure and this cannot help no let's let's be honest Niko I know you love jumps racing and we all love you I'm starting to be worried about jumps racing but jumps racing be fresh it has an expiry date yeah and this is not helping things I agree there's there I would be shocked if it went any more than five years probably yeah which is what you said I'm I'd be one of the loudest and biggest advocators for jumps racing in this state and that people would listen to like could listen to on a on a on a platform it sounds bad but he's right and yeah it this is this is this is really worrying so I would hope that things improve the next four weeks and it yeah it's well I don't really want to keep banging on about it right now but yeah I am really worried if things don't start to improve this is not very good yeah pay us how good to see the Fox out of his box on the weekend referring to the coming Fox absolutely Ryan Patton with cruiserweight being compared to Mr. Brightside Jimmy star and Coyne rising and a leg Ron was this thing born in a lap well well on that a day it did but come on Craig come on Craig well that wasn't Craig Craig said the boys this is the boys the crap yeah I mean they're probably just I'd hurt this on the Friday that had been whispered and then I said oh let's just wait and see and then Craig is just temper this just because a horse is brought from New Zealand and it wins nicely a couple times first time in Australia does not mean it's Mr. Brightside I don't think so but he's got a very similar racing pattern to what Mr. Brightside first had and he's doing things in similar style to what Mr. Brightside did at the same point in his career fresh in Australia from you know what he might want to see more cup just like Mr. B yeah he's probably like I mean he would have won the meal juror cuff on Friday for a general maybe even gentlemen Roy's like a maybe a little bit better but he was a tough on the speeder yeah I mean yeah I don't know I don't know I'll have my maximum wager at a dollar O2 the general sales of a dollar O2 that he's not Mr. Brightside yeah well to say that he's to say that he's going to win 10 group ones it's probably 11 11 group ones sold him short sorry who's counting but but yeah I think there is similarities but obviously the cruiser way it's got a lot to do to be Mr. Brightside but he's got a lot to do to to to to to gentlemen Roy as well but he's on the right right right they're saying he could be the next he's they're not saying he could be Mr. Brightside he could be the next Mr. Brightside like horse by the way gentlemen Roy absolutely robbed of not winning that group one against Jack and I how was that how was that how was that overturned in the Stewards room I don't know 30 Jack come on mate yeah wasn't getting passed racing enough racing this week is a snooze fest yeah fair enough nope anything internationally no next weekend we do we've got clan again when he got a galloped up Muscarade ball and we've got and also been a Sussex you're a Benvenia Chalene or whatever could be running in the King George as well and then obviously this time in two weeks Bowaco Vega star again yeah you know there's no you don't pronounce the G I've been listening to the English journalist say it's just star'd yeah what's just I just can't get on what's starting for second what race is that what are they running in the Sussex 1600 Bowaco will beat him again and Chalene again we'll be running in a Judmont international in a couple way sorry not clan again ombudsman ombudsman will be running in the ombudsman's coming to get you they'll be running in the Judmont and I'm speaking of ombudsman our man blogger he's recovering have you seen that on socials yeah absolutely there's a bit of pain in our man he's actually human after all believe it a lot so yeah to get a surgery yeah back maybe he's carrying the world yeah that's not good hopefully he'll be back I'm just quickly checking that this Judmont market it's ombudsman versus constitution river oh yeah max bet ombudsman ombudsman should be too good for him but the three-year-old I don't know Ryan Moore say he's got a good opinion of him yeah he's a cult yeah true true uh foot of your fan Robert one of our he's one of our regulars in the questions box is he just say midweek question mark yep midweek plays excess king Pedro tomorrow yeah I'm bad kid and uh king Pedro and bad blood would be the best though on Friday for sure and he also says he's ice cooler good thing yes moral nico certainly think so all right just a couple of instagram questions to finish off how many have we got only four or five James Dawson well written is the one I'm keen to see back on the track this is obviously because I said what horse are you looking forward to seeing so that's the wipe it off the track after she's the hell below the star New Zealand mayor so I'll tell you what glenny's keen to see well ready save Erickson how do I watch the Ramwick trials on Friday like Aliana and autumn glow skytharabrid central so skytharabrid central I think it's only on Foxtale just look on social media they'll be clipped up don't worry you can go you can you can find skytharabrid central some of you some of your apps as well I've been you'll be there to tell you that she's otherwise all the autumn glows trulled like she's trulled and say just ask is actually just chuck her in the black text here she goes all right just text it on Friday when bend in here with garras because it'll be on the TV and him and garrath will be sitting there yeah it'll probably be 9 a.m. blowing over blowing over autumn glow yeah well not could have thought of any other word I didn't even try to lie Nick Spencer when bot frames a market does he he this is the best one this is called stew math and bot frames when bot frames a market this is from Nick this is from Nick okay when bot frames a market does he use stuper math to get a dollar 66 shot to a $2.13 oh god now this is one of the yeah this is going off in our group chat today a little thing that was invented today called stew math they're very much like girl and math you know when girls go to the shops and they're looking they're looking to buy one dress there's a buy two get one free special they get the two and they think they've saved money no you've actually spent double of what you're intending on spending so that's girl muff stew math is he's he's told us that he's backed France no sorry spain who beat France spain to lift the trophy so spain to win the world cup could be in full time could be an extra time once they either play Argentina or England he said he's got $2.13 he sends in his two bets lips both of them are at $1.65 and he's gone yeah but because one of the bets was used with bonus cash or bonus bets that doesn't count towards the stake so he's added the profit on from the bonus bet to his actual bet and he's come up with the fact that he's got $2.13 ohd's holy hymn that is just not how it works you've taken a dollar 65 twice and on one of them you've used a bonus bet I believe it's all stuff text in send it into the the Twitter or even the Instagram do you think stew math is valid or do you think that is one of the biggest abominations you've ever heard of I thought it was fantastic he said that one to the subs banning oh man yeah we've actually taken two dollars 15 we've had five loses in a row we've actually taken two dollars 15 for spain yeah don't worry about the fact that $100 of that was a bonus bet official official staking twice under the last question of the night can your boys have a look at the two two-year-old stakes race at Moff got burning hearts okay shit I probably should have seen this question I looked at it it's got it's the highest rate it it's the feature it no size produce no yes a size 26 it's gab's horse so he ran at one on day boo at sandian oh beat the Laura yeah it's um that's it's good for him cannot win eight bucks yeah I think it's highest rated for me well so if you had to frame a market five dollars I don't know maybe yeah I told him to back it all right all right I'm gonna have to um shiverwack yeah one really well but that was over a thousand I wonder who that's why shiverwack have a guess I don't want it I don't know I saw I saw I've seen the replay yeah it should not have been forty to one it absolutely you know it opens one be a forty to one shot that you back like that I could be wrong could be wrong I think it's by big work yeah no Ben and it's going to be a heavy heavy nine over there so it's worth noting that's probably your main danger of toss shiverwack because it's handled the going like it pulls it in it was a torrentious shiverwack he's actually in the G truck colors that's interesting yep all right let's wrap up the podcast there Thank you very much if you've tuned in this far about just shy over now at 20 on the clock.
