Followers, fans, supporters, so on and so forth. What do you refer to them as, personally? The day ones. And was that a name you dubbed them? Was that a name they dubbed themselves? So, my supporters pretty much kind of named themselves. We were just trying to go through trials and tribulations, trying to figure out what we wanted to call them, and we ended up going with day ones. Now, when it comes to this group of people, this collective, this community, how much power do they have when it comes to you? I feel like my fans have a lot of power when it comes to me. And just seeing that from the numbers right now, I'm doing over 50 million streams, analytics all the way across the board, impressions. So, I feel like they go really hard for me. Now, before I ask you this next question, let's sidestep when it comes to streams, social media, especially when it comes to fraudulent profiles, scammy profiles, spammy profiles. What are your official handles to your most prominently used social media platforms, just in case those in the audience want to reach the right person, see the right profile? Right. My account is Dasha Taylor on all platforms. And if you happen to forget, you guys can always Google Dasha Taylor and all of my official platforms will come up. I think my Instagram has a blue check. I think I know. Twitch has a purple check. So, most of my accounts have checks that are verified, just so you guys know. Now, when it comes to, this power that they have, what's the most powerful thing they've gotten you to do so far? Hmm. What's one of the most powerful things they've gotten me to do? Yes. Stream more. Well, they actually encouraged me to stream, to start getting on Twitch. So, that was something that they kind of forced me into. They were like, well. And, you know, let's sidestep with the topic of streaming, right? Because, you know, there's, um, streamers that are now getting into music. There's recording artists that are getting into streaming. What is your opinion of just streaming itself? Do you think this is a trend? Do you think this is temporary? Do you think this is here to stay? If you do think it's a trend, how long, much longer for? So on and so forth. What's your opinion? So, I don't think it's a trend. I kind of think that streaming is going to be around just how TikTok is around and some of the other platforms. I just think it's a new era that we're entering, where people are going to be, more so wanting to film their lives real time instead of it being chopped up and edited like YouTube videos. So I feel like this is just like a new era that we're going through, like even how we went through the dance trends and all of that. And that stayed, you know, it didn't leave. People thought it was going to be just a phase and it leave, but it actually stayed and it's contributed to the music industry a lot. And I think streaming is going to be one of those situations as well that's going to contribute to the music industry and things like that as well. And we're talking about live streaming here. We're not talking about streaming on digital. No, no, no, I'm talking about live streaming, like live streaming on YouTube, Twitch, Kik. Even TikTok is considered live streaming as well. So, yeah. Now, asking you initially, the question was, what's the most powerful thing they've gotten you to do so far? And the mindset behind that question is there's some recording artists or creators, they'll create for themselves. If you like it, cool. If not, cool. I'm doing me how I want to do it, when I want to do it. That's it, right? Tunnel vision. Then there's some others, recording artists, creators, whatever. They listen to the feedback. So if there's a trend that the bass wants them to do, they'll do it. If there's a topic in music they want them to, they want them to hear that person touch on, so to speak, they'll do it. They it's kind of like a give and take back and forth. And it's like a communal experience, so on and so forth. So what kind of person, creator, recording artist are you? Do you do you? Do you do them? I do both. You know, when I feel like they doing too much, then I gotta listen to myself on this one. But when I feel like, you know, they are, may they may be right, their feedback actually might be influential to me, then I'll do it. So I'm kind of in the middle. I do both. Now, when it comes to these day ones, what's been your favorite encounter? Absolute favorite so far with a day one. My favorite encounter has just been them actually showing up, calling the radio stations for my new records, showing up for my battles on TikTok live and going crazy for me. They're showing up on my streams and they're just supporting everything that I do. I think that has been one of the best things about having such a great loyal family. But is there a memory? Is there a moment aside from just general, generally speaking, that you recall just in your course of dealing with the day ones? Is there a standout moment, something unique, crazy that happened with a day one? Whether it was at a meet and greet or some whatever show, whatever. Yeah, not yet. We're still going through stuff. We didn't know that yet. OK, what about on the opposite end of the spectrum? What's been your worst encounter with a day one? I haven't had any bad encounters with my family. You know, why do you think that? I'm not trying to, you know, I don't know. I just think I just I don't think I have like I don't know. I just say experience like crazy. They don't be doing all that. OK, because there are some horrific stories out there. You know, they they oh, you know what? Well, never. Well, in that case, what is the best way for a day one to approach you? And this could be anywhere. Airport meeting, so on and so forth. What are the rules, the etiquette, the guidelines, the do's or don't? Before one approaches you, maybe they want a picture. Maybe you want to get your attention to talk to you and say something to you. What's the best way for them to approach? The best way for them to approach me is to be themselves. And to act like they know who I am. I don't like the scariness, the filming me without knowing. I like them to address me like a human, like, hey, girl, it's like a picture. Can I take a picture? You know, I love that about them. I don't want them to be scared of me. I'm a regular person, a regular human. So I want them to act like themselves when they, you know. Now, speaking of humans, sometimes another human will catch another human, maybe in a not so savory environment. And I want to see how your response is. OK, what about that random moment? A day one wants to get your attention, wants a photo. But maybe you're in public in the middle, excuse me, in the middle of eating somewhere. Could be with your family. How do you feel about in a situation such as that? I'll either be like, hey, once I finish eating, I'll take a picture with you. Or I'll be like, oh, girl, come on, F this food, girl. You know, that's what I signed up for. So it just depends on how I'm feeling that day. OK. And then what about as far as poses? OK, I know there's some day ones that could be a little bit more touchy feely than others. Some, you know, recording artists, creators, you know, can't stand when someone puts like their arm around their neck or their, you know, their arm on the person. Some are OK with that. Some day ones may want to go a little bit lower than that. I don't know what you're OK with. Oh, no, baby. Ain't nobody went no lower than nothing. They ain't going nothing lower. Yeah, I'm not suggesting it. I'm just, you know. They ain't going lower. I don't even get no ideas. But I don't mind them. You know, putting their arm around me or, you know, nothing like that. You know, as long as they're respectful and they don't do too much and I don't got to call security, security, then we good, we good, we good. Anything else in regards to approaching someone like yourself? No, I mean, I'm a real, like, humble. I'm just like you. You know, I'm cool. Like, I don't be doing all that. Now, curious here. Chris Brown, when it came to his meet and greets, kind of started forming a trend. Of sexually explicit poses with his base, right? And then there's others that kind of follow suit, like Boosie Badass, which you two have collaborated with and talk about that a little bit later on. But, you know, like a Chris Brown, a Boosie, you know, some of these bases, they they want to be in some of their fans want them in some sexually explicit poses and compromising positions, which they seem to be OK with. Because of the rise of that, have you gotten those type of requests at all from your day ones? Or, you know, anybody because I think it's like more of a man thing. I don't really see too many women doing it. I think that's like a man trend. You know, I thought if you kind of respect yourself, you need to do all that. And especially with not random people and just curious because you never know. You know, so I thought I'd ask just to be universal, male or female. But as we wind down the questions about bases here, what has your day once taught you? My day once have taught me to just be loyal and can be very consistent with post. So my content, they're always on me about making sure I'm posting in the limelight or I'm promoting my music. They're always on me about promoting my music, especially when I'm on the screen with different people who are in the music industry or a day or I'm around somebody that maybe they're always like trying to advocate and make sure like, girl, play your song, make sure they know your song, plug yourself. You know, they're very, very like on me about that. Anything you want to say to a day one right now? Thank you guys for always supporting me, loving me and just showing up. And supporting everything that I have from the businesses to the music and just watching me on all platforms. I love you guys, W day ones in the chat. And let's talk about the music. What do you want them to know about you musically? You know, as far as your future plans for the rest of 2026 and beyond moving into 2027 here? I just want them to just keep going hard with the two records that I have out. Bet you won't. And it ain't my fault. I'm trying to get these records trending as big as I can before the top of the year. because I do plan to drop a project at the top of the year. So I'm trying to make sure we get a good little steam behind the two records that we have out now to push us into the new year. And this will be your first solo project? Yes, yes, yes, yes. Anything you want to say in regards to this solo project? Is there a title you want to share? Is there a release date? I'm thinking about calling it Back in That Mode. You know, I had my kids, and now I'm back to the music. I'm back in that mode. So that's what the title I'm feeling like is going to more than likely be. But we are still trying to kind of figure out some other things and see if that's what we want to call it or we want to go with a different name. And I do want to talk about those kids a little bit later in this conversation, if you're okay with that. But aside from the solo effort, do you want to share some more details on these two songs here? So Bet You Won't is currently out. It's climbing the charts on the radio side, on the urban radio side. It's been playing on the radio. The Saucy Santana is doing well. And then I recently just dropped a single with It Ain't My Fault. And I'm soon going to be dropping a remix. But both records are really crunk club type records, get you moving, get you excited about dancing and just kind of being lit. I'm overly popping it on both records. They both have great captions for Instagram, all those little things, like great things. And yeah, I'm just kind of just in my, my crunk vibe right now. I'm trying to bring back some of the old Atlanta sounds and just put people in a different, give people a different sound, a different music right now. I feel like everything is kind of in the same limelight with the sexual music and they got the drugs and all that. So I would try to give them something different. And how'd you get Saucy Santana to be a part of one of these songs here? Saucy was a super duper easy collab. I respect him so much. I had met him on TikTok Live. And it was a really organic conversation. I let him know like, hey, I just dropped a record. Would you, would be willing to get on it? And he said, yes, sent him the song. He had it back in a few days. Very easy. Definitely one of the most organic collaborations I've ever done in my life. Have you had a chance to meet him in person yet? Yes, I've met him a few times in person. We're still trying to figure out if we're going to be able to do a music video because you know, he got his single Quiet on a Creek going crazy. So he's been super duper booked and busy. So I don't know if we'll physically get a music video, but hopefully we can catch each other at a show or something. And I can just shoot a video right then and there. And it'd be like an on the go type of thing. So that's what I'm hoping for. And what's your opinion with his success in that song as well? I am very, very proud of him. As an independent artist, it's a lot to fund your own music, to come up with your own music, create it, put it out, package it. And I just think that hard work pays off. And he's definitely been super duper supportive to other up and coming artists. So I feel like it was just his time, the time he was right. And his team was super duper fast. And I admire that about him, about making sure that they acted on the Quiet on a Creek when the saying was going viral. He was so fast with putting the song out, putting the music video out. And the next thing you know, I'm like, damn, that nigga don't fuck around. He don't play. So kudos to him and his team. They did an amazing job with capitalizing off of the moment. And I feel like that, right there is kind of what you see as an overnight hit. You know what I'm saying? That was right before my eyes, everybody's eyes. We was like, damn, the shit just. So kudos to him. Now, you've been around him a few times. For those that haven't, but obviously follow him, so on and so forth, but haven't had the chance to bond with him like you have, from your perspective, what's he really like as a person? I haven't got to be around him as much as I would like to. But from the times that I met him, he's a hard worker. Like that's one thing I can say, he's a hard worker. You could tell that he don't play about his craft. He don't play about the things that he got going on. He's very direct. He's very intentional with what he does and he knows what he wants. So I feel like that's why he's getting the success that he needs, because he's super duper involved with what's going on in his career. And that's important as an independent artist. Now, I know you're still getting a chance to know him. So I'm going to ask you this question. And if you can't answer, it's too early to answer, that's okay. But if you can, I'm still going to ask here. What's the best advice you received from him? Or most important thing you learned being around him so far? Either or here and less. What's your previous answer? Was it? Yeah. I think for me is learning from him is just like go hard. You know, don't stop. You know, he went through his label situation and then came back and he still came back on top. He still grind. He still get up. He still get on TikTok. He still show up for his music. He doing shows like he's a, he's literally an example of like, kind of like what I'm doing. I'm on TikTok. I'm on my platform. So it's like I kind of just get like go hard or go fuck home. That's what I get from him. Go hard or go home. And aside from this song, is there any other unreleased music between you two? No. But I definitely want to get something where I can get the in-studio personality, the in-studio vibe from him. I definitely want to see that. So me and my sister are potentially planning, still in the talks, of doing a 10 year like reunion album where we just kind of put out some new music with us. Been 10 years. Let's see what we can drop. So we are planning to try to put out some new music. We are planning to try to put something out next year as well. Now I do want to ask you one more music topic here to sidestep. Just for context, how long have you been in the music industry for at this point? At this point, it's going on about 11, 12 years now. Rough estimate, of course. Yeah. Now there are some in the audience wondering, is the Illuminati real? I don't fucking know. I don't know. Nobody know me. Nobody know me. I don't know who Illumi and Nadi is. I don't know that. You honestly mean that or are you just playing it off on camera here? I don't know that. You ain't seen nothing with no triangle, no eye. You know that is. I don't know. Well, just asking because you've been in the industry for 11 years. You've been on major record labels. You've been independent. You've kind of seen it all in a sense. So just curious. And I ain't never seen all that. Seriously? You ain't been on that side of it. I don't know. I ain't seen it. Okay. What is your definition of a real friend? I think my definition of a real friend would be someone who's always there through thick, thin, up, down, round and round, broke, dirty, dry, crusty, musty. You gon' be there. It don't matter what it is. Now how do you personally spot fake friends? I'm still learning. You know, I'm still learning. I feel like people who are just always only want to be there for the lit moments and not there for your smaller things or people who only want to support you on the internet, not support you in real life. I think I kind of, that's kind of my definition. Like I pay attention to that type of stuff. Now when you notice one of these signs, what is your policy? Do you have a zero tolerance policy perhaps for, so to speak, where you know, you know, you're not gonna be a real friend, you're not gonna be a real friend, you're not gonna be a real friend, you're not gonna be a real friend, you're not gonna be a real friend, you're not gonna be a real friend, you're not gonna be a real friend, you're not gonna be a real friend? No. What is your policy? Do you have a zero tolerance policy perhaps for, so to speak, where you notice a sign, you cut that person off immediately? Or do you give a person the benefit of the doubt, a chance to redeem themselves perhaps? I am a benefit of the doubt type of person. I try to give people a couple chances, you know, because everybody is human, but I do communicate like, "Hey, I don't like that," or, "Hey, I don't know, I'm not fucking with you." So that they can get it and once they don't get it, then I move on around, move around. Yeah. And speaking of friends, we talked about real friends, we talked about fake friends. Do you have a best friend? Yes, I do. She's pregnant right now. Her name is Shento Allison. Yes, I do have a best friend. We've been friends since, like, my grade. So, over a decade. And I do have some questions about her. Before I ask you questions about her, does she play a role in the music side of things at all? Or the creativity? Or the creative side? Or so on and so forth? In the entertainment side? No, she's just a supportive best friend. She comes to my shows, she shows up to studio sessions late nights sometimes when I'm here by myself. She just comes and she just supports me. Well, aside from her, and I do want to talk about her in a second, do you have a friend, that you consider a best friend than just on the music side of things or the creator side of things or the entertainment side of things? Do you have an entertainment best friend, so to speak? No. Now, this best friend of yours, some in the audience may know who you're talking about, some may not. How did you two actually meet? Me and her met in high school. Our boyfriends at the time while we were in high school were best friends, and we ended up somehow meeting up at lunch. We used to always sit together, but we weren't friends. And then eventually, we had started becoming cool. Then we started being real cool. Then it started being cool, cool, to the point we was hanging out with each other without the niggas. So then we was like, okay, yeah, we're going to be friends. But then years and years went on, and then she just became my best friend. And what is she really like as a person? She's a cancer. She's a very sweet crybaby. She's just very territorial. But she's very loyal. A lot of people don't cancer. They're very loyal people. Honest, truthful. She's going to let me know when I'm right. She's going to let me know when I'm wrong. She's going to let me know when I make a cent. She's going to let me know when I'm done with you. So yeah, she's just real raw and authentic. Craziest story of you two together? I would say a lot. I think one time we went into, she used to come to my shows and be one of my hype girls when I was growing up. And I was like, first for us getting in the industry. And we had went to Kmart. This was when Kmart had the Nicki Minaj collection. And we had a show, but we had no money for real. So we went in there, you know, and we was trying to get an outfit. And so we put the outfit on up under our real clothes. And we tried to walk up out of Kmart. And we walked up. We got up out of there. And then one of my other folks got locked up. It was a whole thing. So, but she was around, we went up there and stole that little shit and got the fuck on up out of there and was out. But one of the girls got caught. Didn't get to do all that. And that was just a lot. So yeah, she a real writer. But we got to go rob a bank. She gonna come. Now, what's the best you, excuse me, what's the best advice you received from her or most important thing you learned being around her? Either one here. Just be real and authentic. And just, just be loyal. She just so loyal. Like it's hard to be like not, you know. Got it. All right. So that was about your friendship there. Now I want to ask about the kids and the love life. What did you make of the feedback and the reaction to that? What's been the update since? I know when we talked, I was asking about wedding bells. There weren't any at that time. There still ain't no bells and they ain't ringing. They're still not ringing. Everybody's still ringing. It's so mad, you know, that I have children before marriage. But I feel like everybody has to run their race and social media have to stop thinking that they know everybody's relationship and that they can put a time stamp on when you can get married and when you can't. There has been plenty of relationships that has gotten married after the whole biblical way, you know, that everybody wants it to be. You know, it's like things happen. Everybody has their own marathon that they're running. And I think everybody has to worry about their relationship and not mine because I feel my name. I'm not going to be the only one. I'm going to be the only one. I don't play with a po-po, honey. I'll be quiet as fuck. I was just giving an example. No, baby. Nah, nah, I don't really. Because I only really be blunt with people that I know unless they ask. If somebody asks me my opinion, then I'll tell them.
