I'm Kenny, your host, and today we have two time Natural Pro Bodybuilding World Champion Daniel Kubik joining us for a two-part series. 2x PNBA World Champion Let's get right into it. Enjoy. OK? Ready. Speaker 4 So now, now we're ready. Speaker 2 Now we are. Speaker 4 Here on the left side, but I. Speaker 2 Think it's OK you're in Germany? Speaker 4 Yes, I'm Germany. Speaker 2 And it's a bit, yeah, it's 6:30, so it's dark now there. Speaker 4 Evening, yes, yeah, I think for three hours now in Germany. Speaker 2 Yeah, yeah. I I, I spent four or five years in Holland, so I know what it's like at this time of year, Yeah. Speaker 4 Nice. It's not that far away I think. Speaker 2 No, no. And you competed in the in Amsterdam. I I remember this, I think it was one of the shows in the Netherlands. You WNBFI think it was or PNBA? Speaker 4 Yes, 2022, I competed there and I got my pro card back because in the PNBA you lose your pro card if you're not competing within two years. And so I had to compete 2022 as an amateur there and two years later in the pro show in the World Championships there, yes. Speaker 2 For those that don't know, of course you're a two time world champion with the PMBA, correct? Speaker 4 Yes, yes, of course. It was really interesting because what? Speaker 2 I hold on. Something just happened in my ears. You can still hear me. Speaker 4 I can still hear. Speaker 2 You. I lost you one moment, Daniel. How Old Is Daniel Kubik? Sorry brother. Speaker 4 No Bluetooth. Speaker 2 Just unconnected. What happened? What's happening? Yeah. Can you hear me? I lost your audio completely. You have me now. Speaker 5 I have you, yeah. Speaker 2 OK, I don't know what happened. Why Daniel WON’T Compete in the WNBF My audio just completely went out. Speaker 4 Sorry about that bro, I heard everything here. Speaker 2 OK, perfect. Sorry, that's my fault. Something happened. Yeah, sorry brother. No problem. You know the Bluetooth. The Bluetooth sometimes will connect to other things. Speaker 4 Yesterday we did the podcast about 2 1/2 hours and in the last 30 minutes my Earpods crushed down and after that we had some problems with the with the recording of the episode and the last 30 minutes has been muted because of. Speaker 5 My. Speaker 4 Earpods, yeah, sometimes it's really confusing, yeah. Speaker 5 The better is with the cable. Speaker 2 Yes, but it then it doesn't look. Speaker 5 So heated, yeah. Speaker 4 Yeah, yeah. And my computer stands I think 1 1/2 meter away from me so. Speaker 5 With. Speaker 4 The cable and the ears. Speaker 5 It's every. Speaker 4 Time. It's a little bit, yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaker 2 Daniel, how old are you, by the way? Speaker 4 I'm 29/20/20. Wow, wow. Speaker 2 You're amazing physique at 29 years old. Two time world champion. This is incredible. Do you have plans to compete in the WNBF one day? Speaker 4 I don't think so, no. Speaker 2 No. How come? Speaker 4 It's a long story. It's a long story. I I played it 2024, but I cancelled it after we had some problems with a client of mine in Bergen with the polygraph test. And yeah, after that there were some discussions and yeah, I think I I stayed to other federations now with the. Speaker 5 IFBB. Speaker 2 Is it the polygraph is a little bit unreliable? Is that your experience? Is this the issue? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've noticed this recently. There was a gentleman who claimed he was 100% natural but failed the polygraph from the UK and so. Speaker 4 From the UK, from Germany, from from Spain. And I think it's like I told I did a YouTube video and I think it is the decision of every athlete who would like to compete there. And if they say, hey, I would like to compete there, it has to be OK for them because there is some failure in this test and it's sure, but it's always that the athlete have to be comfortable with the decision that they don't compete if they fail the drug test, the polygraph test. The Polygraph Controversy Exposed But for me, I don't would like to stay as not natural athlete because I failed a test that is not 100% valid. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you know what I mean? Of course, yeah. Speaker 2 So, yeah, my, my thoughts on this is it's interesting because of course, for those listening, so there's no confusion. You are 100% lifetime natural. Yes, yes, yes. And there's people that are also claiming 100% lifetime natural and have failed the polygraph test due to things like anxiety, nervousness, these types of things. Is that what you are also describing now with why there's some clients that have failed this test that you think maybe it's because of their emotions and it's it's leading to a failed test, maybe language barrier? Also, who's doing the test for the polygraph? All these things contribute to whether someone can pass or fail, even if they are 100% natural. There might be a misjudgment on the polygraph. Is that what you're suggesting? Speaker 4 Yeah, I think so. Yeah, it's, I think it's not a lot of people. For example, I did the polygraph in the the NPC show and the last Ben Rada show too. So I did in the same season the polygraph test. But after the story with the W MB FI don't felt that good to compete there in the season. So I don't know what the future will bring, but in this season it was so fresh and yeah, I felt not good with the decision to compete there in this season because of the these problems, yeah. Speaker 3 I understand and in the. Speaker 2 IFBB they're also doing polygraph? Or is it just urine? Speaker 4 No, this was polygraph test. Speaker 2 OK, so even. Speaker 4 The IFBD urine. Speaker 2 OK, so interesting. So Poly, the IFBB is also doing polygraph. Does the PNBA do polygraph as well? No, no, no. Speaker 4 In the in the whole German region there is no federation. Speaker 5 Who do the polygraph without the OR just the WNBF do it here just WNBF Germany. Speaker 2 Yeah. Interesting. Yeah, Yeah. Speaker 4 Here, here are, but the drug testing in Germany is really, really good with out of season tests, yeah as well, yeah. Speaker 2 It can leave a stain on the reputation if you are 100% natural and happen to fail this test for whatever reason. That's the issue, I think, right? Because then people will think you're not natural and you are, right if that's the case and that that's not so good for how you feel, of course, and also how other people might view you and your business, right? Speaker 4 Yeah, of course. And but in this last season, I don't compete in the WNBF. It was just because of the situation. The whole situation was a little bit overwhelming with everything it was, yeah, I was a little bit scared, frustrated and don't felt really comfortable with the situation. So I decided to doesn't to don't compete in the WNBF because my before the situation in Belgium with I think this was in August, in August, 1 of the first seasons of my clients for me, I had to plan to compete on the 15th of September and the WNBF Germany 2024. This had be my second show this year because the the PMBA World Championship I did in my pre prep card, not in the pre prep card. I did it with a similar way to the pre prep card and in I think 13 weeks out or something like that to the first show. And so the, the first show in the 24 autumn season had be the the WNBF Germany and after that the AMBF Evo Classic, DFAC. And the last show what I planned before was the WNBF Worlds. So I yeah, did a, a little bit, I did the other structure for my season. So I started with MPC untested show in Poland because a friend of mine, Patrick Deutsch competed there as a pro and yeah, I gone with him and yeah, did the amateurs there. But this was just a regional to step on stage before the bigger shows. After that I did the Evo, the ABF, the Evo Classic, the DFAC Worlds and the Band Reader as the last show. Yeah. Speaker 2 So what's interesting is the DFSE also does the polygraph correct? Oh no, just urine. Speaker 4 I think so, yeah. Speaker 2 Yeah, well, you were there, but you would know, right? Speaker 4 Yeah, but I know that they do a polygraph too. Normally OK, but but I did nothing there. Speaker 2 So if. Speaker 4 So I had done it, but there was no polygraph in this day. Speaker 2 In this day. OK, interesting. So maybe it depends I guess if they're doing it or not. Speaker 4 Could so it could. What I thought about was that I did the drug test after the AMBF show and the AMBF is in federation of the DFAC. And it could be that this drug test is enough for them that I can compete there without test. But I don't know, this are just my thoughts on it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaker 2 Interesting. So the main reason of course, for the WMBF is yeah, you're just not feeling comfortable due to how they are doing the polygraph test. Is that accurate or is there more behind the story? Speaker 4 No, I, I think it in this season, I think it was just because of the situation with the client and everything. It was because we talked a lot to the president of the WMBF in Belgium, in Germany. And I don't feel good with the with the situation in the general not OK. The polygraph of the WMBF in every polygraph in my every polygraph in my opinion is not good so. Speaker 2 OK, yeah, yeah, yeah, I understand now. But. Speaker 4 But for international shows, I understand why they do the polygraph. Yeah. And here if we just compete in the German region and yeah, we have the AMBF, the GMBF, the Evo Classic and every show do out of season test. So we can be more sure that the most of the athletes here stay natural because I think I had four out of season tests or something like this. I did in my show 2022, I think 7 tests. And here we can be more sure that the more people are safe. But let's say if you went to another country and compete there, yeah. How would you like to know if everybody is Neddy there? Because they kind of do some out of season tests with. So I understand why they do the polygraph test, but but I'm not a friend of this test. Yeah, Yeah. But I don't and I don't hate the WNBF or something like that. So I think the WNBF words is the stacked, the most stacked championship of the world still. Yeah, in the pro show, Yeah, Yeah. So. Speaker 2 Yeah, there was maybe some, if I'm understanding because I'd love to understand the story a bit deeper, but it's maybe also some communication. Was it a communication also with the, you were mentioning the President and the President of the WNBF, I'm assuming is that the States or the one of Belgium and Germany, there was maybe a communication issue with the client. Is that what it is? Yeah. OK, OK. Yeah, I understand. Speaker 4 And and it was a long story after two years now or it's not serious 1 1/2 year. I think I have another look to the situation. But in this in this time, yeah, I was I was also on prep. I have 10 clients which I prepped for different shows for WMBF, for DFAC, for EVO, for P MB, AI, MB A and I also was on prep and it was a really hard day because we traveled to Belgium with everything we did everything that he can compete there and he competed in the WMBF before two years ago and he was lighter than in this 2022 season. So yeah, that and, and it was really hard for him. I, I saw how hard it was for him to cannot compete there because he don't understand it. And yeah, we did the way we had the Airbnb for four to five days. Yeah. And this is something of the cost for the client because not everybody has this money to just go to Belgium and do a show and everything. And I was there too, 2 friends of him was there and it was really sad. Yeah. And this was hard for me as a coach to see that he felt so bad with it. And yeah, so I decided to hold my hand high and don't compete in the Season 2. Speaker 2 I understand. OK, That's becoming more. It was more. Speaker 4 Because he's a so good friend of me. Patrick Teutsch & Julien Brüske Go Enhanced It was not just a client, it was a deep friend of mine. Yeah. And yeah, I don't would like to compete after this situation in the season. Let's see what in the next year it is. But yeah, in this season don't fail. I I didn't felt good if I would decide to compete there after his fail. Yeah. So I said OK, but for me, it's over for the season. I can't do it for my heart. And after that I I said, OK, hey, what's next? What are the other shows? And I did the other shows in the season, but after I saw, for example, who competed there in the season, yeah, it would be had be amazing to stand next to this athletes. So for example, one of my client, Amon Limaca in the season gone to the Royals. Daniel Kubik’s Honest Take - No Filter It had to be a really great trip together, I think. Speaker 5 But yeah, that life, yeah. Speaker 2 Yeah, that's unfortunate. But yeah, like you said, you never know what the future could bring. And yeah, so you mentioned Patrick Deutsch, that's I'm saying his last name, correct? Did he also go cuz he was competing as a natural firm? I don't know if he still is because he's gotten so big now. I don't know. OK, that's what I thought. So he went to Julian, the Julian Bruska route. He went that route. We'll be back after a quick break. Speaker 3 If you've. Speaker 1 Been a longtime listener of the podcast or even if you're new here and you love natural bodybuilding, you're not going to want to miss out on Longevity Muscle Magazine. Don't miss out. Speaker 5 But Patrick was the the 1st timer of the yeah yeah yeah yeah. After he won the Ben Rita Networlds, yeah, he switched the sides. Speaker 2 He switched sides, OK, because also Julian also switched sides, which he mentioned on the podcast, so. Speaker 5 Yeah, yeah, I think. Speaker 4 This could be the reason that Patrick switched the sides and yeah, shown what is possible in this short time. And for Julian, for example, he did everything so. Speaker 5 Yeah. Speaker 4 What that there was no show? Julian wouldn't win in my opinion. Speaker 2 Yeah, even WNBF world, you think he would have if he went. He could have a big shot if he had done it. Speaker 5 In my opinion, I saw Julian live a lot of times and I stand next to him a lot of times sadly. But in my opinion I don't know how it. Speaker 4 Has been against Nyan Babaka but no one else can beat him. Speaker 3 Amazing, amazing. Speaker 4 I, I, I don't. I don't think so, really. Speaker 5 OK. Speaker 2 What about Patrick? If Patrick, if he had stayed natural, do you think he would have? Because I didn't. Speaker 5 Did he 100% yeah. Speaker 2 Yeah, that would have been cool to see. Speaker 4 In my opinion, yes. Speaker 5 Yeah. Speaker 4 Because he's more complete and he has a freaky look in natural. Oh yeah. Speaker 5 He was so vascular. He was so. Speaker 4 Full He has in every muscle Group A lot of muscles and he has a crazy conditioning that's really hard to beat, I think. Speaker 2 Are you disappointed at all that Julian and Patrick switch sides, or for you it's no problem? Speaker 5 It's no problem. Oh, I can't understand it. Speaker 4 For 100% and I thought about as well, but for me I don't see the points to switch the sides. Short Term GAIN vs. Long Terms Problems? There are also 80 to 20% I think on the side of natural bodybuilder. Speaker 2 Can you explain why you don't see any point like that? Would be interesting for the listeners to understand your thought process there. Speaker 5 I think I have a lot of points why the switch could be a good decision, but I think the biggest point. Speaker 4 If I really go into myself is that I think that good natural athletes have a good opportunity to stay on the Mr. Olympia in a good placing, but also the business case in the IFBB MPC scene is. Speaker 5 We have a lot more of opportunities. I think because you get more money. It's more interesting for the most people because natural bodybuilding is for the most of the people. It's a little bit more boring to watch than the IFBB and social media, but yeah, I think it's it had been great to see what is possible and I think everybody imagine how you can look like if you go enhance. But I'm happy with everything I do. I'm happy with my natural bodybuilding coaching team. I'm happy with my with my performances in the last years, with my transformation in the last years. I feel yeah healthy my social field here say hey, it's perfect. We you can go to vacations without thinking about how to get the stuff with you. For Most People This Makes NO SENSE… And yet that are so small things just small things. So it's you have to be more dedicated if you go enhance because you have to eat every day more. And this is time you have to cook more. You have to go to the toilet more Yeah, you you have to be sure that you get the right stuff and. No, no, fake fake stuff. And there are so much small problems that accumulate that you don't see on the 1st, on the first side, so you know what I mean. There are so many points. Speaker 2 Yeah, I do. I do understand what you're where you're coming from and I think you also probably get some input from you're friends with Patrick and Julian. So they must if or Yeah, do they? Do you ask some questions to them as well about this? Yeah. So of course you're learning too, right? So you're seeing it in real time. Speaker 5 Yeah, I think if I hear every word of them and it would be better to go on the other side now. Now, yeah, because they are really happy with this decision, I think with everything. Yeah. And they're happy with the training, with the pump, with the food intake, with everything. And I think the the bigger problems coming a little bit later. Speaker 2 Yeah, yeah. Speaker 5 Yeah. And if your blood work looking good, actually it is not that it is in 10 years good as well. And you don't, you never know what is with your heart because you can do some things against everything, but the heart is a really big problem with this enhancement. And yeah, I'm not a father yet, so I would like to be farther in the next year so that that's also a problem. And yeah, there are too many, too many problems with the intake of the enhancement. What I don't see. Speaker 4 Yeah. Speaker 2 Yeah, that's admirable that you're really thinking thoroughly about it. I think more people, if they have that thought in their mind, it's important that they are thinking deeply, very deeply about it. And just like you are. Right. So you mentioned your coaching team. Enhanced vs. Natural Bodybuilding - The TRUTH What? Oh, go ahead. Speaker 5 Yeah, for the for the most people, I think it doesn't make any sense. Speaker 2 Right. Speaker 5 If I see. Speaker 4 Patrick, Julian, Fabian Farid. They are so great athletes and they reached nearly everything in the natural natural bodybuilding. Speaker 5 So I what should they do? So if you think about for Patrick, for example, he won the Ben reader natural, it is not possible or I think it's not good to compete as in pro natural bodybuilder with a crazy conditioning every year. So if you would like to go to Olympia, it was 100% sure that he don't look that good like he looked on the Ben Rita show for example in the year after. So he can decide to go to the Olympia and look like shit, like shit or he go to the Olympia and look jacked. So I can understand why he why he switched. Also Julian. Julian wins the biggest show in Germany. And I don't would like to say that Germany is the the best country of the world in case of natural bodybuilding, but it's a really high standard here. It's really high standard. And in this season, the best athletes in the German country competed in this season. And he wants every show back-to-back, every show. So yeah. And then you have to decide, is it worth it to just complete a natural bodybuilding again for beating one other person, for example, Neon Babaca? Is it worth it to just go every year in the preparation for competing against one or two persons that came from anywhere? I don't know. But yeah, I think it's not that interesting anymore because me, as an athlete, I would like to get the competition. So I would like to stand again near Baba car, Patrick Toich, Kendall Richmond, These guys, that's nice because I know, okay, they are a high, high level. But if you beat everybody, nearly everybody, yeah, I think it becomes a little bit less interesting. Speaker 1 I can from the point you're making with regards to the. Speaker 3 Competitive side and. Speaker 2 The business side and earning money side, yeah, it's and like you said, these guys are the best of the best then. And for them, there's a, an interesting point there to have that switch, right? Like if you look at like Ronnie Coleman, he made that switch right? Like because he believed he could be Mr. Olympia. I spoke with Julian, of course he, he felt in his heart that he could be a classic physique. If I remember correctly, I think he said Classic Physique, Mr. Olympia Champion. That's what he that his. Speaker 1 His dream? He believes he can do that. Speaker 2 If you don't believe you can do that or you don't have the potential to do that, why would you risk your health right? This is this the the the points you're also we're trying to get at. I think you made that clear. But that's I think an important thing to make really clear because there you see people 16-17 years old, they haven't even done anything in natural bodybuilding yet. Yeah. And they're going on enhancements and they have no idea what their potential is. And they're risking their health at such a young age. It's to me, it's not. That is not the way to go to me. Speaker 5 No, no, I think natural bodybuilding is a really good starting point because you see what your potential is. Yeah, because the most stack natural bodybuilder, they start to enhance and they looked crazy, crazy, and they're dominating the shows. So you saw the first show Julian did after his enhancement and it was not the long time between, I think four or five months or something like that. Yeah, he won the pro card with his first show. Fabian Farid, go to this first show, did bodybuilding and Classic Physique. He won wants the Classic Physique overall at the European Championship here in Germany has his pro card and he did the bodybuilding class two wins his class and in the overall, in my opinion, you have to give him the pro card a second time on this day. But I think they don't gave it to him because he wants the classic physique class before. But after that he did the first pro show on the same day, placed eight in the next 1/4 after Michael Dabboule and some big names in his first in the second pro show of his life in one season. And I think here we can see that natural bodybuilding, a high standard. Natural bodybuilding creates a high standard in enhanced athletes. But if you don't at this level, I think it's really hard, yeah, it's really hard to go on the other side, start to enhance, and then you go into a regional show or something like that and never win a pro card or never win a class. And so I think why are you doing this to your health? And for me that's not understandable. Speaker 2 Yeah, I hear you. I hear you. I mean, for me, I'm biased, but I would never go that route obviously, because I'm super biased too from the health, from the health standpoint. I'm gonna have a podcast dedicated to natural bodybuilding so I can see all the pros for what they are and what they bring and the vitality it brings someone long term. But I could, I can understand, I can't understand someone like a Ronnie Coleman or someone like a Jay Cutler or Julian's belief or Patrick Deutsche's belief that they could be the Mr. Olympia. Why More Bodybuilders Should Stay Natural! And then when you look at what the reward can bring, now, mind you, there is a lot of cons, of course, like you said, the health and all that. So you have to be OK with that. But like any sport, you know, you look at a professional hockey player like they're risking brain damage from all the body checking the fight. Yeah. Or a footballer with all the headers. You know, this is concussions like these are. This could bring long term damage to your health as well. But they still do it. Why? Because, hey, they get paid millions of dollars and there's a reward there and there's a passion there and there's a love there that they think, OK, I'm gonna sacrifice a portion of my health for this. If Natural Bodybuilding Was Rewarding the Athletes Like the IFBB So for that, I'm like, OK, I can, I can see where they're coming from. And I there would be no sports if there was no people like this. These are the top of the top. So when you look at Julian or Patrick, yeah, I can understand where they're coming from. But what we just spoke about, where we're talking the majority of people and there's like a whole demographic of kids just jumping on steroids. The Controversy They know nothing about natural bodybuilding. To me, that's just unfortunate. And to me it's, yeah, even silly that these kids are just diving in right away on enhancements without any knowledge of the natural circuit and how inspired they could be if they just waited and dug a little bit deeper. Everyone Is Juicing in Germany - Why? That's the whole reason I started this, so I can try to build it into something bigger so people can understand what natural bodybuilding is, right? Speaker 4 Yeah. Speaker 5 Of course, and I think it's really good that there are some people who hold their hands high for natural bodybuilding, because if every natural bodybuilder with a better physique jump on the other side that there is no more natural bodybuilding, for example, in the German region. Because if you think about if I would jump too, yeah, I think mostly the best natural bodybuilder in the German region would go on the other side. And everybody else is thinking about, okay, So if they go to the other side, I start this journey earlier because if I reach this top, I have to, to switch too, because it's normal to switch. What’s Daniel Kubik’s ULTIMATE Natural Bodybuilding Goal? And so that was also a reason for me to stay on this, on this natural bodybuilding site, because I don't think that it's the right way for the most people. And yeah, it's important that somebody, yeah, hold their hand high for natural bodybuilding. And yeah, I hope that other guys like Benjamin Schuster, for example, staying natural too. And I think it will be so. Speaker 2 Yeah, yeah. I mean, he's got a lot of potential. Of course. He's only young. He's only, he's so young. I mean, yeah, he's like 23 three. Speaker 5 4. Speaker 2 Yeah, and he already won a WNBF world title. Like, this is insane, right? So this is amazing. And in yourself, like, you're doing such great work to continue to promote it. And I think, yeah, more people like this is helpful. And I think this is what's interesting is if natural bodybuilding was rewarding the athletes the way, say the IFBB was, like, I think about how many people maybe wouldn't even jump to the enhanced side. Like imagine if the prize money was similar in natural bodybuilding like as it was in the enhanced bodybuilding. Wouldn't that be something special, right? I think there were. But like you said, unfortunately there's not as much excitement around it. And there's so much controversy around it too. People think all these guys are not natural. The best of the best guys who do compete in natural bodybuilding, there's also that issue, right? So it's like it's a work in progress though. Speaker 5 100% yeah, but I think in the last days after the season, I see more people who are interested in natural bodybuilding. Again, last year I was like, wow, what's happening here? Everybody's on juice, but yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Because you, you looked and you see so many people here around you and some clients of mine after they, they said, OK, natural bodybuilding has here an end and I have to go to another coach. And there are so many people who did the switch in the last or last two years that it's a little bit confusing for me. Why, what, what's, what's the, the reason behind it? But I can understand it in some way. But yeah, for me it's not not the right way. Speaker 2 Let's talk about what your ultimate goal is as far as the competitive side, because of course, I don't think you achieved what you wanted to achieve or maybe you would be boring for you at this point, right? So let's talk about what your ultimate competitive goal is within the natural bodybuilding and or did you achieve it? Maybe you did. I don't want to assume. Speaker 4 No, no, no, no. OK. Speaker 5 My biggest goal was the ever biggest goal was to compete in the WNBF world's pro and win the overall. Yes, that was a long time the, the the plan. But after the last season, not just because of the the problems we had with the WNBF, because I think it's one year and after that too, yeah, time goes away and yeah, there's it's an opportunity. Why Natural Bodybuilding Is Doomed, Unless this Changes But for me, I think I don't know, because I won the pro card, the IFBB pro card last year by the in the Ben Rita show, in the bodybuilding and the Classic physique. And now I have to decide if I would like to stay in this federation. Because if you decide to stay just in the IFBB and you can't compete in any other federation. And I think that's a little bit problem for me because, yeah, I don't know how is it with the WNBF, But I don't know, I don't think so. Speaker 2 I would like to ask you in the IFBB is that a rule of theirs that they say you can I? Speaker 5 See. Yeah. Speaker 2 No. Speaker 5 Pro. As a pro you don't allow to show something out of the MPC. For example, as a coach, it's not that good that you take pictures with other clients in front of a symbol of the other show. Yeah, Yeah. So that's I know, I know. I know some other IFBB pros as well that compete in other shows, natural Olympia or something like that. But normally they don't are allowed to compete there. I think if they have a smaller Instagram, I think, yeah, nobody cares. Yeah, no, nobody knows because I don't think that IFBB just look every natural show and look how many people are competing there who are in the pros of the IFBB. But normally you don't be allowed to compete anywhere else. Oh. Speaker 2 Wow, that's what the the WMBF used to be like that. Not anymore, not anymore. So if you compete WMBF, you can compete elsewhere. They they might not like it, but there's no there's no rule like there's no. Speaker 5 In my opinion, it's also it's better, it's better for the athletes because different federations have different great shows. And the biggest problem in my opinion and natural bodybuilding is that we have that much federations and yeah, we will never see, for example, the the best of the best of the DFAC with David Kay competing against Nyan Baba Cow or something like that. That's a big problem. And that's a problem for 10 years, yeah. Speaker 2 It's but it's already bad enough that these guys, you they might not compete in the same season. Now we have to also worry about the the different organizations. It's also creating a yeah, a distance because you know how sometimes you can have a like for example, this year, Bob, a card never showed up to WNBF Worlds and. Speaker 5 But there was a problem with the travel I think or something like that. That's. Speaker 2 True, but the point, the point I'm trying to make is that that if someone doesn't show up because they're not competing that season, then what happens is, is that there could be a new world champion because that person is maybe in the offseason because that's natural body, but not every year they're competing. So there's that issue. And then there's also an organization issue where oh, you have David Kay who doesn't compete outside DFAC. Well then guess what? Now, now David Kay will never get to stand next to someone like Babakar unless Babakar goes to the DFAC. But you know so. Speaker 5 It's so sad, Yeah, it's so sad because for us as athletes, for example, for me, it would be a great goal to stand one time next to David Kay, one time next to Nyan Babakar, one time to Kendall, for example. And for me, that was the would be the best case if I have the opportunity to stand next against to athletes like this. What Is the Biggest Natural Bodybuilding Event? But I think you have to do 5 shows in five years if you would like to compete against everybody here. So that's that's a little bit problematic for me. But I think with the IFBB, if you would like to compete there a long time, I don't know if it's that competitive yet, because that they are now really new and they you have to do for the band reader, for example, for the band reader pro, you have to do some pro shows before. And I think there are not that many natural pros, natural classic physique pros in the band reader in the NPCIFBB. But you have to compete in one show before that you can compete, Pete, in the Ben Rita Natural Show. And the problem you saw this year, in my opinion, because they had only 8 athletes there last year as a pro, they had about 20 or 23. Yeah, yeah. So the the, the competition was smaller in the pro class. And that's a little bit sad because I think the band reader is for every pro the show to be. But if you have to do as an athlete from Europe, for example, it's really hard to get this confirmation for this, for this one, because you have to travel 345 weeks before the show or earlier, for example, to America to get the confirmation. If you win a show after that, you travel back again, and then you have to travel again to America to compete there. And it's expensive. Speaker 2 That's a big. Speaker 5 That's a problem. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a problem. So I don't know. Speaker 2 Ideally. Ideally like, and this has been talked about many times on the show, but I think there's too many politics. There's a lot of politics involved, which is created a lot of diversity. But in your opinion, what do you think right now, the biggest, the biggest where it's pulling in the best athletes overall? Where do you think that is for natural bodybuilding? Speaker 5 WMBF yeah, OK, 100% yeah in my opinion but but just the pros. Speaker 2 Just the. Speaker 5 Pros, right, Just the pros and I think just the pros in the top five. Speaker 2 OK, OK. Speaker 5 Because I think every federation have good athletes. For example if you compare evil classic amateur show within WMBF world's amateur, the evil classic is so many levels higher. Also the AMBF in my opinion. But in the pro show the classes are not affected. The evil classic for example, it's like a pro show. Though the top five are with within the best pros. We had here Harmon Lima, who placed third in the world in one class with Julian Pruska, with Stefan Corner that are all big names. In my class we had the Steven Stevo is his name. He won the DFAC Amateur last year. Fathi, we have Barack and Julian Pruske were there and he has so many big names. Kevin Hernandez and yeah, in one show. And that's not an amateur level in my opinion. And also, for example, the ABF 2024 was really stacked in my opinion in the progress with Ben Lloyd with YEAH. Speaker 2 Keith West. Speaker 5 Keith W Julian Harmon. Speaker 2 Crazy. Speaker 5 Me, Kevin Hernandez, you were. Speaker 2 Sick though. You were sick at that show, right? If I remember correctly. Speaker 5 A little bit, yeah, a little bit a few weeks. Speaker 4 Before I got sick. Speaker 2 Yeah, that affected your placing, I think. Speaker 5 I don't know. Julian was good, yeah. Speaker 2 Fair enough. Speaker 5 Yeah. But I think between me and Julian is always the point if you would like more the mess or the symmetry. So it was always the decision I think because I'm a little bit more symmetric in general, but I don't have this mess like Julian in the legs, in the back. Yeah, that sounds strength and other weaknesses. Speaker 2 But that sounds like you would do very well in the WNBF, because I think in the WNBF they do prioritize the symmetry aspect a lot because you look at someone like Brian Whitaker who won. In 2015, right, he's not the biggest guy, but he won the overall, right. So they're not just they're not just rewarding mass or just rewarding conditioning. They look at I think everything a little bit more fairly. If if I had to look at it from a from a distance on how because I'm not a judge obviously, but it just seems that way. Speaker 5 Yeah, bro, I was broken 24 with the decision that I don't compete there. Yeah, really, It broke my heart. Speaker 2 Man, well, look, hopefully you will, you will resurrect and go there. Maybe, maybe it'll be in Europe though. It might be it's coming. It's changing locations now. So it's not just in America next year, it's in Calgary, but maybe it's coming to Europe soon. So who knows, Maybe that will be your year, right? Speaker 5 I don't know. But because I I don't don't know anything currently because I have the problem that I don't know how the IFBB will level up in the next years because it's really new. And I think the IFBB have the potential to be the biggest natural bodybuilding federation as well because they have the money, they have the opportunity, they make it really interesting with the a confirmation for the Olympia and the band reader show is great in my opinion. Will the IFBB Will Take Over Natural Bodybuilding? It's a it's a really good organized show. It's a great stage. It's a great lightning. There are good judges. It's a little bit fast because if they post, it's I think 1/4 of the WMBF posing. Yeah, because WMBF do the classes 30 to 45 minutes. And yeah, there is go on stage. Yeah, take a look and back again it's fast, but I think they have also a big potential in the next years. And if I would like to compete there anymore yeah, I don't can compete in I can't compete in another class and other federation. So this next, the next decision will be truly hard for me, but very important because if I say, hey, I just jumped to other federations again, ABF pro DFAC Worlds, for example, WNBF, yeah, I throw away my pro cut. Speaker 2 I see what you could re earn though because you have a talent. We'll be back after a quick break. Speaker 3 Hey everyone, super important announcement for you all. We recently rolled out our longevity muscle YouTube membership. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Impact This is really exciting stuff because if you're one of the people who's reached out about wanting to watch full length podcast episodes on YouTube, now you can. As a member, you will get exclusive access and early release to brand new episodes on YouTube. The episodes will be 100% ad free, which means you can watch the episode straight through without any interruptions. Once again, that's our longevity Muscle. YouTube membership link will be in the show notes. Speaker 5 Yeah, but, and I think about it, is it interesting as a pro to always compete in the amateur show again? And also, and also, I think it's not that fair to compete as a pro in a amateur show where you won a pro card before for the other athletes which are standing next to you. When Will Daniel Kubik Compete Next? Why? Because I I think it's good if the federation have more pros and I think it's almost fair that other athletes have the opportunity to win a pro card also because I had my chance before, so you know what I mean? Speaker 2 Of course, of course, that's a great point. I didn't even think about that, but that's a great point. And also with the IFBB, you feel that they have the potential to, if the prize money is very interesting or sponsorships can be very interesting, that they can take over everything when it comes to natural bodybuilding. You, you believe this, that that athletes will start to go in that direction, like they will leave the WNBF, leave DFAC, leave and go to IFBB. If the prize money is say let's say it is like 6 figures for the winner, like wouldn't what do you feel that that's enough to entice the world champions of WNBAFD FAC? Do you think that could happen or no? Well. Speaker 5 I think it's more the hype, the hype, it's more the social media hype of the IFBB because if they represented like it's an qualification for the Mr. Olympia, There are so many athletes who think why yes, that's my that's my way. And I think really I'm 100% sure that more people know the IFBB natural athletes more the IFBB know the IFBB then they know the WNBF or other any other federation because they see big names like us, like Mike, like Dino, like like Chris, and they just know the IFBB. But because if you think about how it was as you started, yeah, you just know the big names. And for me, it was a long time till I till I know the, the natural federations in Germany. Blood Work - What Was Wrong? Bulking vs. Shredded I don't know anything here. I just know the IFBB. So after three or four years, I, I, I saw the first video of natural bodybuilder, but it's, it was not a not a time. But I think it's more easy to get connected with the IFBB than WMBF or DFAC or other, any other federation. Yeah, it's not impossible, but more people know the IFPB. Speaker 2 Of course, yeah, you're, that's a, that's so true. I mean, you look at Arnold, he's the one who really popularized it and he's still continuing to to give back to bodybuilding. So it's only getting bigger and stronger just because of Arnold alone, just Arnold Schwarzenegger's impact alone is continuing to to grow and grow and, and, and never mind Chris Bumpstead and yeah, absolutely, because that's current, that's modern. But I think that's just a fascinating thing when you look at the history there. I mean, it's going back into the, to the 60s, I think sixties, 70s, yeah. So maybe before then. I I don't think so. I think it was 60s though, yeah. Speaker 5 I think too, but I don't know. Speaker 2 Yeah, I think it was the 60s, it started with the first one being Larry Scott 66 or 7, something like this anyways. But yeah, absolutely. And these are interesting points. I mean, I guess the future will will, we will see, right. What what the future brings for you, I guess, right. As far as the competitive side, you have a lot to think about, I guess. But it's when's your next competition going to be? Do you know? You're in the offseason right now, so. Speaker 5 Yeah, now I'm too fat, that's clear. But I think 27 or 28. Speaker 2 OK. Yeah. How far are you from your sorry, go ahead. Speaker 5 Next year I have some private things, wedding and stuff like that. The year after I think about but there is not clear because I have many good clients in the season and I don't know if I if it would be better to focus just on the clients in the season because they have a big potential. I think yeah, after that, I don't know 2728 because I don't know if it will be the spring season, if the IFB do some shows in the spring season. High Fat, Low Carb vs. High Carb, Low Fat - The BIG Issue So as in coach, it's always better to do the it's spring season. But as in competitive athlete, I think the the autumn season is normally the better way to go. Yeah, we will see. 28 I think would be the better opportunity. But my athlete, my athlete's hard to say, hey, 27 is long enough time for years, but under three years I I don't would like to do an offseason anymore. OK, always more than three years. I think it's better to improve and recover from the prep before, because now I have 70 or 1818 kilogram over my stage rate. It's really high. I do the cuts. I will start the cut I think next year and go 10 kilos down again. But my blood work was long, long time, really sick, no. And what happened? Speaker 2 What is what? Speaker 5 Was the I I think it needed a long time to recover from the less contest prep because the last prep was really long. I think with 40 weeks or something like that, the season was really long and I was a long time on the crazy conditioning so and hormone was not that easy. I had a nearly good blood work 6 month post competition but it needed four month to stay in a perfect range. 4 month and 15 kilograms more. Speaker 2 What was the? What was the issue with it? Do you it was there anything specific that was showing up? Speaker 5 The testosterone was long time, really low and I had symptoms six weeks after that. My Levy dual was dropped or was very low a long time. And after that it's going slightly up again. Also my my thyroid, thyroid, thyroid, yeah. And the fat, the blood fat, cholestarine with the, with the LDL was long time, very high. But I don't know why because I did my activity. I did my steps. I had clean food this time. And yeah, with 18 kilograms over stage weight, it's getting better. Both interesting. So it's yeah, it's really interesting. I don't know why but yeah now I'm in the situation and also my metabolic rate was higher. Now I have a higher calorie intake with three or 400. Within one month I had a long time 3000 calories and now I have 3/4. Speaker 2 OK. Speaker 5 It's very interesting. It is because the jump was I, I, I noticed in my body the jump when my blood level's going good again. And after that, after this feeling, I go to the to the doctor and did the blood work again. That I know OK, what what's happened? And yeah, that was the was shown on the paper. Speaker 2 That's amazing that that you could feel it. That's really important. It's great. What's interesting is do you think it has anything to do with, and I don't know how you structure your macronutrient when you diet. Maybe you can speak on this because I'm the first thing I think about or just wonder, just wondering is do you think it had to do with maybe the ratio between like, oh, how much carbs are you eating versus fats you're eating versus protein? Daniel Kubik’s Offseason Weight vs. Stage Weight Yeah, you're in a deficit. Yeah, you're eating less food, so you can't change this. But you think if one was higher than the other, it could have changed your blood work, like maybe higher fats, lower carbs or the reverse or lower protein, higher fats, something like this? Do you think that this could be something you might experiment with or you thought about? Speaker 5 Before I had AI searched after translation for one word. In the last contest prep. There was a great contest prep till July I think in July I had a type byte. It is a word which. Do you know what this? No. No. What? No. I I can show you. OK. Some picture I think. Yeah. Second this. In Germany. Do you know what type? Types. Types. Speaker 2 Yeah. How do you say it? How do you say it? Daniel Kubik’s Height It's. Speaker 5 An insect it's. Speaker 2 An insect. You had a bite. OK, so you had a, you got a tick. Speaker 5 Yeah. Speaker 2 OK, OK, OK. Speaker 5 And I in July, I had a antiputicor, antiputicor and my body weight, I was one KG in front of my normal shadow for the prep landing. If Daniel Kubik Competed at WNBF Worlds… I was really good in time. And so I wonder PBA worlds in my prep. And after this, I have to reduce my calorie about 600 to drop any weight again. And that was really hard because I had the starting point that I have one KG in front of the shadow. And after this, it takes me 4 weeks to get back into the normal range and I still was 1 kilogram behind the shadow. So I have really go deep had to go deep from about let's say 2, 2500 calories with this thick to the to the and the antiputica to the next steps of the diet with 2000 calories. That was the first one. And I have to reduce very, very hardly in my prep 2022, I never had been under 2200 calories with 12,000 steps. And now I was for 10 weeks or something like that on 1800 calories with 17,000 steps and three rounds of posing every day. That was crazy to see for me. And yeah, I think it not was just the ratio of the carbs and the fat. It was too low calorie intake over a too long time. Speaker 3 I see. Speaker 2 So that was the big issue you think was it was just too low for too long. Speaker 5 Yeah, and then getting sick before the ABF 3 weeks ago and not have the time to recover again completely over the rest of the show. And so I think, yeah, I destroyed myself in this last four to six weeks. Speaker 2 Of the OK I. Speaker 5 See. But you, you have no other chance. You have no other opportunity. So you're so close in front of the stage and yeah, you do what you got to do. Speaker 2 Of course, of course. And now you're 18 kilograms above your stage weight right now, Yes. OK. And so what's your stage weight, if you don't mind me asking? Speaker 5 77 to 77 five Yesterday I wrote a comment under any post of I think TN Fitness or the song. Speaker 2 OK, yeah, I know who. Speaker 5 You 15158 is it 158? Could it be possible? Speaker 2 165. Speaker 5 165. Speaker 2 It's 75 KG, OK. Speaker 5 Yeah. So no, no, no, no, no 77.5. Speaker 2 Oh, you were 77.5 KG? OK, hold on. So you're about 170 lbs on stage? Julien Brueske’s Stage Weight and Height OK, Yeah, it could be, could be. Speaker 2 Possible, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's that. But that's in pounds for the those listening who are in America who'd use pounds and not kilograms. But yeah, so that's the. Speaker 5 High of I have to I have to search about it. Speaker 2 How tall are you, by the way? Speaker 5 2 lbs One 75173. Speaker 2 73 centimeters, yeah, yeah, OK, interesting. I like to, I love to know these things. Oh wow, that's OK. Yeah. You're a big guy on stage. Like you have lots of muscle, right For your height, that's impressive. So you would be like in the in the this year just for fun in the WNBF, you would have been AI believe a I want to say middle weight, maybe light heavyweight one or the other. I I can't remember. Speaker 5 In the in the in the category of Max I think. I think. Speaker 2 Max. So that's light, light heavyweight. Speaker 5 In a similar statement, I think you have 79 or something like that. OK. Speaker 2 So you would have been a light, light, light heavyweight this year if you had competed in the West? Speaker 4 So. Speaker 2 Yeah, but Max is representing WNBF Austria. Speaker 5 No, in Austria they don't have WMBF. Patrick Teutsche’s Stage Weight and Height He represents WMBF Germany. Speaker 2 So he was representing Germany? OK, yeah, I thought he was. But he is from Austria though. Speaker 5 Right, he's from Austria. Speaker 2 Yes, yeah, yes. OK. That's what I that's what I remembered. Yeah. Was he the only one from Germany? And by the way, who competed? Speaker 5 You know, I think Stefan TA in the classic physique. Speaker 2 Classic. Speaker 5 I don't know if he got in placing. Speaker 2 OK. Speaker 5 I don't know. Speaker 2 I didn't. I don't. I didn't. Speaker 5 And one other men's physique athlete. The BEST Athlete Daniel Kubik Has Ever Seen I think I have a similar weight and high than Eddie. Speaker 2 Oh, OK, that's then that's light heavyweight. Speaker 5 Yeah, because I think he's 174 centimeters. I'm not sure. And I think he has nearly similar weight to me. Speaker 2 Yeah, yeah. Sounds like you would have been. It sounds like you would have been a light heavyweight though, if I had to guess based on what you're telling me. Speaker 5 Could be so, yeah. But I don't know the the categories because in Germany we have the heavyweight and the lightweight. Yeah, it's. Speaker 2 Different, yeah, they did it, they did it different this year, they changed it relative to previous year. So so. Speaker 5 Eddie had 585. Speaker 2 I would say he's around 175 centimeters more. He's 5 foot 7. Speaker 5 5 foot 8.5 I can send you it here Yeah because we we both comment under the the the the video of of TN fitness I sent you on. David Kaye vs. Babacar Niang - Who Would Win? Instagram he's I'll check now he's 177 centimeters 5 foot 8. That's correct. Oh. Speaker 5 OK, so he's taller than me. Speaker 2 Yeah, he's taller than you. And because, and I know this because I'm about an inch taller than Eddie, roughly, and I'm 178 centimeters. So because I stood next to him, I have a picture with him next to him and he's just a little bit shorter than me. And that's how I figured out mine as well. If he's 58, I'm 59. Speaker 5 Just would like to give you some information. Julian for example, he's I think 178 centimeters. Arnold Schwarzenegger vs. Franco Columbo So OK, same height like you and he has on stage I think 86 KG let. Speaker 2 Me look that up because that's interesting information for me 86 KG let's. Speaker 5 See 80 or 87. He's a big guy, 87 to 88. Speaker 2 And this is when he was before he made the switch. So wow, 194 lbs That's crazy, That's crazy. That's elite. That really that is the definition of elite level natural bodybuilding. There's only a few not sorry, I shouldn't say a few. Some people that come to mind, they're usually the ones in the heavyweight class that are around my height and they're competing in this, in this range, like between 190 and 200 lbs, like shredded on stage and like I think the the gentleman, you know him or you must know him. Doug Miller. Yeah. Yeah. So that's like around this range, right. This is same like Julian, Doug, Brian Dacosta, who you know, I'm sure as well, Yeah. Speaker 5 Patrick as well, 175 centimeters and I think on stage he had about 87 kilogram. Oh my. Speaker 2 Gosh, that's that's that is next. So that's next level like. Speaker 5 That's rare, right? Or or. Speaker 1 Or more or more. Speaker 5 Depends on. Yeah, it depends a little bit on the loading state, of course. He loads with three to 4K cups for show and I think after the depletion he's by 83 or something like that. And yeah. Speaker 2 That would have been so cool to see him on the WNBF world stage just to see what. Daniel Kubik’s Training and New York City Visit Would happen. Yeah, I wish. Speaker 2 I wish he had done that. That would have been really cool. Speaker 5 But I'm sure that Patrick had won had beaten every guy. But with Neon Babaka, I don't know because I I can't imagine life how tall he is and how he looked like in very complete natural bodybuilder that dispute as fuck that is very rescue and massive as well, because young is one of the best athletes I've ever seen on pictures. And I think in life it's also like this. But I don't know how it is if he stand next to another guy that is a little bit taller than him and is also so dense because I think David Kay, for example, would beat him because he's taller and he's wider. Interesting. And he's also really muscular. Speaker 2 Yeah, yeah. Have you seen David in person? Did you see David in person? Speaker 5 No, just videos of a friend of mine who can relate a little bit. But I, I think yeah, in, in bodybuilding, it's always the same. A smaller guy for a smaller guy, it's really hard to beat a bigger guy. Yeah, from the side of the high. And if a bigger guy with the same muscle structure, for example with the same level of conditioning and the same muscle mass, the bigger guy will always win. Speaker 2 That's an interesting point you make like even when you look back just for fun, but like when Arnold was with Franco in the that overall remember that in pumping iron, it's so clear you're just like Arnold wins, right, Even though Franco was had. Speaker 5 Great, great. For me personally, I like Franco more. Speaker 2 Interesting. Speaker 5 Because it's more bodybuilder. It's not like Arnold looking not good, but I prefer the physique of Franco Colombo, for example, a little bit more. I like the Muscobelies, I like everything on it. But yeah, you can't give it to Franco it. It is not possible. Speaker 2 When you stand next to it, Arnold, when Arnold's standing next to Franco, it's just so he's, he makes him look like almost. Speaker 5 Yeah, small guy. Yeah, like a small guy, but but I think Young had the have the the chance to beat somebody else because in natural bodybuilding there is a limit of muscle mass and he's so fucking massive on this height. So this is crazy. And he's so fucking white. So he has on his height the perfect body. Speaker 2 Have you seen him in person, by the way? Speaker 5 No. Speaker 2 Oh, OK. I thought maybe at the SN, the SNBF show. Yeah, that's yeah. You competed there or is that just Ramon who completed? Speaker 5 Yeah, it's just Ramon. Oh. Speaker 2 OK, I I thought you had done that show, but OK. Speaker 5 But he sat next to him and placed second. What was clear? Speaker 2 Yeah, Yeah. Interesting. Wow. Yeah. You, you mentioned just because this is always interesting. I don't know how much time we'll have to touch on this. You mentioned you had just trained, right? Like you have a home gym. Yep. Speaker 5 Yeah, and I'm going to crane train again after our podcast. Speaker 2 Yeah, You didn't finish the workout, did you? No. I had a feeling, man. Sorry about that. I think. I think I would have adjusted for you. I also have to go train after the podcast. So it's funny how you Yeah, we are both going to go train. If you'd like, we can. Why don't we, If you, you like, if you like, we can do the training talk conversation. I would love to dive into some training. You know, that's always interesting for people, myself and the audience on YouTube, everything. Would you like to just reschedule like maybe next week or something? We could do 40 minutes just to talk about some training. Speaker 5 Can we do? Yeah, Yeah. Next week. Next week not, but the week after. Because the week after, yeah, we are on vacation. Yeah. Speaker 2 Oh, you're going. You're going away. You were in New York, right, by the way, just recently. Speaker 5 Yes. Speaker 2 Yes. How was it? Was it nice? Speaker 5 Yeah, it was, it was the third time. I think for me, New York, and I like the city, that's that's not a city that it's crazy. Speaker 2 You like it? Speaker 5 What? What happened? Yeah, it's really cool, but it's for me, it's too much. Speaker 2 Oh, it's too much. OK. Speaker 5 Yeah, it's, it's for for one week or so. It's really cool to see, but it's too much. We did in five days I think 200,000 steps or something like that. No. In six days. Six days? Wow. Speaker 2 I I did 30,000 steps in one day and I was already like crazy. I don't know if that does that sound like a lot to you. 30,000 in one day. Watch Out for This When You Bulk! The biggest day was 40 free. Speaker 2 Salt. Yeah, that's too much. Speaker 1 The feet. The feet. Speaker 2 Are going by the end. It's crazy. Speaker 5 Just go and eat something the whole day. Just go from one food spot to the next and do a little bit sightseeing in between and yeah, going to get food so. Speaker 2 That's the benefit, right? You can eat a lot on those days. That's the fun part, so. Speaker 5 Yes. Speaker 2 Yeah, you don't. Speaker 5 I had a scale with me, so small travel scale. Yeah. And the whole time in the 10 days America, I had this nearly a similar weight, 93.493 point 894 point 293.8 the whole time every day. I think, okay, that's cool. So I can eat the same level because I ate really, really a lot. A lot. Yeah. And I get back home to the scale in my room, 1 1/2 kilogram more and holding on this level the whole time. It's also that's. Speaker 2 That's so sad. Is it sad? I think that's a good. That's nice though. Daniel Kubik’s Home Gym Revealed! No? It means you could eat lots of food and not have to worry on those days, right? Speaker 5 Yeah, there are four. Yeah, it's nice. Yeah. Because I'm, I'm fat. Yeah. And I don't would like to push my body weight in two KG more or over the 100 kilogram. I'm 173 centimeters. That's not not cool. That's through my body fat. But yeah, this time I thought, yeah, it's nice. Yeah. Because my weight is not going higher. And over 9 days, it's not like, OK, one day it was low, so I can eat a little bit more and next day it will be also low. OK, I can eat a little bit more. No, every day it was the same. That's the same range. So. And after that I get back home again and 95 point 1 and I cried. Speaker 2 Yeah, yeah. You can't, you can't, you can't eat like how you did in New York. Now, I'm sure you were eating a lot in New York, right? All the fun things. Yeah. Speaker 5 Yeah, yeah. And my gallery, my my energy availability is not that high. Speaker 2 Yeah, of. Speaker 5 Course with 3400 or something like that and normal 10K steps range it's not that high for my body weight. Speaker 2 Of course, what's the highest you're gonna cap your weight at for the offseason? Speaker 5 Like this? Speaker 2 Like this, right? Yeah, that's what I would think too. OK, interesting. Speaker 5 And it could be, it could be over the the Christmas days. It's for, for example, that we go to my parents and to some friends and some Christmas market here around Germany. And it could be that it's go a little bit higher, but I don't would like to push to 100 kilogram or something like that. My friends always say, hey, go to 100 kilogram, it's cool. But yeah, I don't know. Speaker 2 Not necessary maybe. Speaker 5 No, no, no. If you are competitive, I think it's not good to be dead high over the stage rate because there is a time you have to cut it down, Yeah. Speaker 2 And the skin quality, the skin quality, I heard about this say from the top, from the old, older, general, older generation, they talk about the importance of maybe watching that because it's skin quality can change if you go too, too high, right and you cut. Speaker 5 You have more skin if you cut down. Yeah, yeah. Speaker 2 You have to be careful because if you go too high and then you start cutting down. Now, mind you, if you do it too fast, that's where it becomes more risky. If you do it slowly, I think you should be OK. But if you do it fast, this is what I've gathered. Yeah. It's you can risk like loose skin. The Only Con With a Home Gym You don't want that, of course, which So it's. Yeah. Speaker 5 But but I had 98.5 in the average in the past. Speaker 2 And you're fine. Yeah, You know, Yeah. Speaker 5 It was fine, yeah. But yeah, it don't feel really good. Yeah, feel really good. Speaker 2 That makes sense. What are you gonna? So what were you training, by the way? Just curious. Speaker 5 Did apps and pool session. So I did the apps part first, did the back work and after that if I go downstairs again I do and biceps and 11 exercise for obliques. Speaker 2 OK, at the end. Awesome. Yeah, awesome. How big is your, how big is your your gym in the basement? Is it how many pieces of equipment you have? Lots or I think I saw pictures. I saw pictures. If that's your gym, the one I saw in the Instagram, that's your home gym I think, right? Speaker 5 And the problem is with my home gym, you never see a lot of the home gym because I just trained here in the home gym. I don't go to any other gyms. Speaker 2 You don't, OK. Speaker 5 No, and I have for every muscle group 2. Speaker 4 Of three machines. Speaker 2 Amazing. That's the dream and that's the dream. Speaker 5 That that's really really cool. How Often Does Daniel Kubik Train? Not for biceps for example, or for triceps, but for the bigger muscle groups. I have hex squat. I have a pendulum squat and good one Jumleco hex squat, revive revive hex squad, Jumleco pendulum squad. I have hammer strength 45° leg press and single leg leg press from hammer string Schnell. Do you know Schnell? Speaker 1 No. Speaker 5 No, it's the best leg extension. Yeah, of the world. It's crazy. Leg curl. Seated leg curl. I have a hip abduction. Abduction. There's everything. Hey. Speaker 2 Maybe, maybe you can take a photo for me, I'd like to see it. Part 2 Coming Next! I, I I can show you later. Yeah, because there are more small rooms and I have five of these rooms and two bigger rooms with 20 to 24. Oh wow. Speaker 2 So you should have multiple rooms for your gym. Yeah, that is cool. Yeah. Can you can you send me a pictures? I would love to. Speaker 5 See. Yeah, I can. I can consider to you that'd. Speaker 2 Be cool. And because you you're living where in Germany, by the way, are you? Which part of Germany? Speaker 5 It's a small part. It's next to Frankfurt, but 100 kilometer away. I think 70 miles. Speaker 2 70 miles from Franklin, OK, yeah, OK. And your your home, your job, your full time job is coaching online, right? Yeah. Amazing. Good for you, man. That's really, really impressive. Speaker 5 Yeah, that's really nice because I can do everything from here with the gym and yeah, I don't go out it. Speaker 2 Sounds like cabin man. Speaker 5 Yeah, it's, it's, it's really nice. But also sometime is a bit tricky because you have just to go here downstairs and go to the training and there is nobody else for me in the most days. It's really cool. I have one training partner and if we go to get up best, yeah, yeah, every training session is a 9:50. But if you have to go alone and it's late, for example, now we're at 8:00 PM. Yeah, it's it's eight, it's late. It's a little bit hard to be every time alone there and you have to push. For example, if I had to do now a leg session alone. Speaker 2 Oh, at 8:00 PM, Yeah, it's. Speaker 5 Yeah, after a work shift of work shift of 10 hours or something like that. Because if, if you have, if you own business, you're working more. And for me, I feel more comfortable to do everything on the work before my training because I it's possible for me every time to train, but it's not possible that I do leg session and after that do check insurance for my clients. Yeah, yeah. Speaker 2 Tired. You're tired. You're fatigued. Speaker 5 I'm tired, I need more time for it, I feel fatigued, I can't concentrate really good. So for me it's important to do first everything of the work and after that go to the training. So normally I go to 5:30 or something like that. It's my normal training time do. Speaker 2 You train every day, five days a week. What do you do? Speaker 5 To on one off. Speaker 2 Oh, like Benjamin, I remember Benjamin saying you coach Benjamin, right? For his. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So we were talking about about how your system and what you had helped him with. So sounds like that's what he was doing at the time at least. Speaker 5 Yeah, but but I think you have other weaknesses and strengths than me. So it's a little bit different. Speaker 2 We'll talk about that in the next conversation because you have to train. I have to train, and I like not to make it too long in one day. It's nice to split it up. If you're OK with it, we can talk about your training and how you do things. Yeah, maybe in two weeks is good. After you come back from your next trip, yeah. Speaker 5 Perfect. Speaker 2 And where are you going, by the way? Speaker 5 Vienna. Speaker 2 Nice. Speaker 5 Skiing. Skiing. No, no, just Chris can do the market. Speaker 2 OK, like a Christmas market. Speaker 5 Yeah, yeah, Nice Vienna and and just visit the city. Vienna is one of the greatest city in the world, I think. Speaker 2 Oh, wow. I have to. I have to visit next time I'm in Holland. I'm going. I'm gonna go back in the in three weeks, I will be back in Holland. Speaker 5 In the days, yeah, yeah. Speaker 2 My girlfriend, yeah. My girl, no, it's a city. It's a town outside of Amsterdam. But we did live in Amsterdam too. But she's Dutch. And we, we go back and forth from Toronto to Netherlands, back and forth, back and forth. Speaker 5 Nice, nice. Yeah, I saw you're in Toronto. Speaker 2 I'm in Toronto now, yeah. Speaker 5 Nice. Speaker 2 Yeah, so that's why it was nice for me to go to WBF World, because I was close. Yeah, I was close, you know, so, but I will let you do your training. I hope you have a great workout, Daniel. Thank you so much for your time and I look forward to talking again in two weeks, maybe similar time and day. We'll talk on Instagram to confirm. Speaker 5 Yes, of course was not to be here. Yeah.
