Dancing 4 The People: Wednesday, September 30th, 2026
74m 52s
The episode blends humor, fashion, and pop culture discussion with a strong focus on current trends and brand promotions. Hosts Jackson and Humpty start with a lighthearted moment of fashion mishap, wearing identical sweaters, before shifting into a deeper conversation about *Dancing with the Stars*, where they criticize the show’s lack of engaging music and standout performances despite its high-profile cast. They highlight the strong performances of dancers like Julia Styles and Tatiana Ali, noting the show’s growing inclusivity by featuring women in their 40s. A humorous segment explores Taylor Swift’s “Cleveland” song and the absurdity of a joke about Travis being compared to a Japanese maple tree. The hosts also share enthusiastic reviews of various brands, including FashionPass (clothing rental), Rowback (soft, stylish sweats), and Home Chef (meal delivery), all offering exclusive discounts via the code "toast." A key debate arises over celebrity wedding officiants, with the hosts defending Kenny Ortega as a credible and respected figure, despite past controversies. The episode concludes with criticism of the show’s sponsorship-heavy, unoriginal Yacht Rock theme, which felt forced and unimpressive, reinforcing a broader sentiment that the dance competition lacks innovation. Throughout, the tone remains upbeat and conversational, blending personal reactions with cultural commentary and product promotions.

And it was a big wheels keep on turning. And they were doing the drive. And it was incredible ballroom dancing. And like, I want to see that too. That level. Like so thoughtful here, really. - Oh wow, I guess I'm just used to it. That's what I expect from my Instacar 'cause that's been my experience. Okay, we're all good. - Once I place the order, I don't check the app again. - So that's your mistake. - No, no, I don't have notifications on for the Instacar and that, so whatever will be will. - You're kind of like a nightmare customer. - A little bit, but I'm also like, but I didn't do complain if I didn't get it. - Right, right. - And I saw that he tried to chat to me. - Right, right. He tried to chat to you. - He tried to pull you for a chat. (laughing) Yeah, no, one thing about me I'm very open to being pulled for chats because I like want what I want. But we also don't want to look like we've completely given up on life. And that's where Rowback's new aspire sets come in. It's a matching half zip sweatshirt and pants that are so, so dangerously soft. It's the kind of software you put them on and suddenly ever other pair of pants you own feels really aggressive. So the pants have a very cute striped detail down the leg. Very like Sue Sylvester served in a cool girl kind of way. Sue Sylvester meets like Kendall Jenner. It gives them a really bit like a retro 90s feel that Rowback does really well. It makes the whole set feel a lot more styled and elevated. And they also have a shorts version of the aspire set. They did it this spring. It sold out in a week. So everyone's obsessed with it and now they're coming out with like a colder version, which we appreciate 'cause the colder weather is upon us. Thank God, sweat a weather. Now that they made the fall version, it's exactly what we want to wear right now. The half zip is very cute and flattering. The pants are very comfortable. And the whole thing gives you a very specific look of like, yes, I'm wearing sweats, but they're nice sweats. You can wear the full set to run errands, grab coffee or just the perfect travel outfit. They both obviously work separately. You can just wear the half zip or the sweater on their own. Like you can put the half zip with jeans or like the pants with a t-shirt or sweater. It's very easy, low effort, but still very chic. So we're loving everything fall from Rowback. We love Rowback, we love their Bedford mocknack. Today's episode is also brought to you by Parallel. So Parallel is a great brand for women. We love them. We use a lot of their products. And I think if you were into supplements or if you're into vitamins or prenatals, then you know about the folic acid problem, which is a cheap synthetic form of folic acid that most drugstore prenatals use. The one type of cheap even cardboard Koji would not recommend. Your body basically has to convert that folic acid to folate before it can actually use it. And a lot of people are born with this thing called the mother F or M-T-H-F-R, mother F-R variant, like 60% of women. That conversion basically doesn't happen. So you could be taking a prenatal every single day and not beginning the folate that you need and folate is so important, especially in pregnancy. So Parallel uses methyl folate, which is an already active form of folate. There's no conversion required. There's no gene roulette. It's just the form you're probably can use. So literally 100% of people can take it. Why matters is because folate is one of the most talked about nutrients and pregnancy for a reason. It's really foundational for early development. It's not like a nice to have a great thing. It's really like a fundamental thing that you need. And Parallel is helping everyone. It was also just a brand that's engineered by an OBGYN. They have a panel of maternal fetal medicine doctors. It's the exact type of gap that they built the brand to close. So all of their products for women are just like really pargyed jacketigs. They're electrolytes. I take their prenatals. It's really a great brand. And their prenatals actually build by trimester, which I like. So if you're pregnant, trying your postpartum, check out Parallel. And we have an exclusive code where new customers can use code toast to get 20% off their first order at parallelhealth.com/toast. They said, Travis said Cleveland is rocking right now. Shout out to Tay Tay for making that song. Just giving the city a little more life. Then Jason shared that he and Kylie have been rocking out around the house to the track. He said that song is incredible. Kylie and I have been listening to it so much. There's just something about it that makes you feel real good. It's a great song. - Well that must be nice for Kylie and Jason to be able to listen to a song about Travis. That's not about his penis. I do feel that people from Portland, specifically people who listen to this show, like they know. I think a lot of the- - It's politically active climate. - Yeah, but it is. And I think a lot of people who like live there are like really passionate about random, not random, like different. And so when I was there, they were kind of, there was a trend of people. It was like anti-authority establishment. So they sort of like moved onto the streets and created these like lawlessness zones. So you just say I like really got out of there as quickly as I could, but yeah. They wanted me to be their mayor in the Chaz, and I said, guys, I can't. Obviously, I like the establishment. Well, I have my problems with it, of course. - Right, right, but you want to live within the frame. - But I like the rules, yeah. I like the framework, exactly. I'm sort of like a framework type of gal. That's where we sort of differed. - I understand, peacefully. - But that is the only place I went and didn't like. - Okay. - Yeah. - That's how I remember it. - No, you're right, thank you for reminding me. I think that I'm like so ripe to see Verity one because I read the book and loved it. But she, like, I sort of remember like the framework of the book. I don't know if there's like a big twist at the end. - Details. - But like, I don't really remember like, is she awake? Like, I don't remember 100% is Dakota Johnson like going crazy? I don't know. So I'm sat for the cinematic premiere. - Yeah. And I do think it will be like Gone Girl when the book was so amazing. And in terms of the book was so amazing, like broke records, everything. Verity is like literally the biggest book ever. And then the movie was amazing. And the awards and everything. And I think that could happen here. - Yeah. Dakota Johnson, like, does have like a bad picker for films. Like, I would say that not every movie she chooses is guaranteed to be a good one. Anne Hathaway though, like pretty much does guaranteed that. - No flops. - No flops. So. - Flops to speak of. - I can't really speak to like Josh Hartnitz' discography because I've only seen Pearl Harbor and that was like actually 30 years ago. - But it was a good one. - It was a great one. I feel confident because of Anne Hathaway, but I'm a little doubtful of like Madame Webb, remember that? - Okay, but for every Madame Webb, there's how to be single. You love that movie. - Fucking love that movie. And that's like why I know and like Dakota Johnson because I never saw 50 shades. - And 50 shades is a good, is definitely a script you say yes to every time. They just did a bad job because they hated each other and it was like not ship worthy for the biggest romance ever. - Yeah. And it was supposed to be someone else, right? Not him. Yeah, I think they were both in this cast. Well, it is. I hate to you know go down my rabbit hole, but it is really crazy that Dakota Johnson got that role never acted Today in her life and nobody ever heard of her to like mega star parents gets The big it didn't end up being like what Twilight was, but it was supposed to be like this enormous It was pretty successful, but it was supposed to be this like it was culture shift But for some reason like it just doesn't stick well e-movie. We love they are paying their bills They love that movie. It is always ony any like saying they love it And it was just cheap rice like 1000% any like clip. I've seen of it. It's because it was on e-movies We love yeah, okay next story we actually are talking about this again because new details have emerged I've been sent this one thousand times. I have been sent this send this to Jackie So I just so you guys know I've seen this Dove Cameron's wedding was officiated by Kenny Ortega who is the greatest director of our time and the director of descendants And obviously a close personal friend and I would say mentor of doves and I know you sort of historically Dislike when people have like non Religious figures are non like authority figures non serious figures celebrities I know you don't like when Adam Sandler to Taylor's wedding. This is like a pet peeve of yours. Yes, so How do you sort of grapple with the pet peeve and your two favorite people? I would say that Kenny Ortega is a religious figure and an authority figure and he falls into like the few Celebrities that I will accept as a wedding aficion who else Andy Cohen. Yeah, Chris Harrison. There's a Chris Jenner I thought I'm thinking about Chris Jenner, but it's too shaky and like let her just have a cocktail and sit and she doesn't want to She doesn't want to yeah, so I would say there are a couple like almost host like people. Yeah, who they host and that's their job And so it doesn't bother me when they officiate a wedding and I will put Kenny Ortega in that category because he's like a serious Professional and I think I don't know much about their relationship, but I would say he's probably like took a paternal role in her life Like as this young girl on the Disney Channel Yes, and of course when you think of the Disney Channel and like child actors, you think that it's worse Mm-hmm, and it's so nice to see that of everyone in the world That she chose him that even if she might have a complicate complicated relationship with her business Yeah, she loves Kenny. Yeah, and we don't even give because we give Kenny a lot of credit, right? It like for creating actually like some of the most amazing Books of art in our time, and we don't give them enough credit for it because like we shouldn't credit people for just like not being pedophiles It's like not a singular allegation. Yeah, not a toxic workplace not an inappropriate touch And I hate to you know pet someone on the back for not being like a criminal pedophile But in this day and age huge win to be like a huge figure in kids He's basically like what Dan Schneider was to Nickelodeon and children's entertainment and to not have like a singular Sort of mark against you, and I'll say beyond that not even nothing nothing against him on every movie that he's worked on and every project That's not really where we've heard Yeah, it's not even like there's Around where he does in higher bad people as far as we know and everything that we've heard like high school musical We've not heard bad things about descendants have not heard dirty dancing dirty dancing I think there's a couple other things people are always sending me that he Directed it's that time of year where we pull up Kenny Ortega's IMDB to see what else besides high school musical He did like Michael Jackson's tour. Okay, like that's not really Oh, I know what I know where that goes again. It's like what we just said Oh, that is really true Jackie, but you know what I just don't want to let go down that path. Hocus Pocus Discendants, oh your favorite show my crazy ex girlfriend He directed it one episode. I like who remembers bun heads. I remember it. I didn't watch it Cheetah girls Which she to girls cheetah sister Montana best of both worlds concert. Oh my god. He also directed 12 episodes of Gilmore girls Ally McBeele like where is his lifetime achievement award? He definitely has a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame, right? He better Rocky Horror picture show He did a lot of Kenny Rogers and Dali Parton like specials made for TV He's like literally the him and Jane lunch should get married the hardest working man and woman in Hollywood Yeah, and to know that like all's well and and Dev is so like alt now Mm-hmm, so like and Kenny's kind of corny. Yeah And that she still chose him her mainstream king her mainstream Main skin king what do you think the main skin guy and Kenny like out to chatting about I think the love of music It's true. It's sort of a universe language, and you know what Eurovision is very Kenny coated one thousand percent So it's maybe like main skin's aesthetic like within your vision wasn't 1,000 percent you but you still went on your vision. It's true like it's just like Dev is descendants You are and maybe they that connects them like oh, we have this like corny thing in our past right, but we're it was a beautiful wedding It was so great, and I just I thought that was really beautiful and you can mark me as Having known now knowing that can't be cheated and I've been meaning to bring this up because like a lot of people want to get to you Through me, especially like people because you know, I don't know if I mentioned this yesterday 400,000 followers on tiktok And so they'll like tag me send this to Jackie He said new stuff on tiktok I'm sorry that's happened and the thing is is like I've probably already shown it to her and two like I'm just not doing that. I'm like very lazy so I feel that That Jackie's that's why I'm saying like I'm too accessible. I'm too reachable. I Need you guys to start just like send me that shit shit Jackie. Yeah, but don't like send me a link To a tiktok because the link doesn't populate an Instagram and then you just there's no good way to send You just send me a bunch of letters. There's no way to send someone a tiktok who's not like in the app So I understand like why people are doing and you must it's my phone was blowing up last night I was like oh, I'm going viral. Let's go everyone's probably talking about our beautiful and skinny I am send this to Jackie girl. I already did like and I've seen it on reels. Yeah It's probably on reels so find it there and send it to me or it will be in like in due time That's reels is keeping up these days. I would say there's a few days delay It used to be like actual weeks. Well, I don't even know what you're like What are you talking about days delay like viral videos? Yeah, like someone that you'll send me like a funny like, you know Mama hood. Yeah, and it's like I did see it a few days ago. Okay, fair But it's also not fair because I see everything Ben shows in a video. I'm like I've seen it like I am disgusting brain rot like Ben every time sometimes I'll just say I've seen it because I don't want to watch whatever videos He's showing me like for the most part. I have seen it and he looks at me. He's like you're crazy like how have you seen that? He's like it's only an hour old. I'm like I saw it an hour ago. That's funny. Yeah I'm like a garbage receptacle for content, but maybe that should be part of your like less available Yeah, campaign to be less available. It would just be more helpful like if I was genuinely less available, you know, but I'm not Yeah, I'm just always available Ready billing enable. I'm willing and able there goes my voice again. I Hear a lot of like a lot of people explaining to me like why your singing voice becomes bad One like your lungs are compressed just do all the things going on in your body to of course there's like a hormone That comes for your singing voice. It's the same way like my laughing voice changes. Yeah Just dealing with a lot. Yeah, good thing. It's not you're a trade Imagine you were like on a tour. Yeah, and actually now it's a perfect time to bring up Kelly Clarkson singing piece by piece on American Idol nine months pregnant Very impressive that she was able to do that. Mm-hmm. Are you ready for our fourth story? Mm-hmm Mauricio Yomansky reveals he's considering running for mayor of Los Angeles as an independent Okay, Mauricio Yomansky joined what was he on live with Kelly and Mark and said I am considering interesting get for him like Who was Mauricio Yomansky to Kelly Ripa? He's just does a little bit of everything. He's on special forces. Oh, that's why okay Thank you. So then he's on Kelly and Mark and said I'm considering running for mayor of Los Angeles He says he's a registered independent and hopes to bring businesses back to LA He said we need to take care of our people. There's so many things to do in LA It's one of the greatest cities in the world without question. It's a huge metropolis and we need to take care of it We need to take care of crime. We need to take care of homelessness We need to do all that stuff But we need to bring business back and I think if we're able to bring business back We're able to you know do the rest has he been here for the last year? Well, the thing is is obviously Mauricio Yomansky You're extremely hot and Jewish you have my vote But I feel that you're not really paying attention because many have come and gone to try and do exactly what you said Business I think the people in LA like like the homelessness. They like the family like the status quo They like their people like Karen Bazaan sir. Try to save them Rick Karuska. He spent 40 million of his own dollars Mauricio don't do this like seriously don't bother because then like you then you just become like a political figure You're very divisive either way like people love you and hate you and it's like you come from a franchise We're like even though you haven't even behaved well like people love you Like why would you give up that sort of adoration to get into politics just to lose just to be honest about that Like don't waste your money. You're not going to win. Yeah, don't we could have run a better campaign than Spencer Pratt I sure he had a lot of like wind behind me went on Joe Rogan like no, but not like people are saying the way he ran his campaign like we'll actually change the way uh Political campaigns are run like from like with AI and everything and like he had everything at his back He had so many like endorsements from people across the aisle and really came at it from like just it oh a bipartisan Yeah, point of view a very like um earnest play if you will I really don't know what could have been done Better than the way that he did it so and Rick Karuska as well as also like a huge figure One of Paltrow indoors like lots of people like a lot of celebrities I saw celebrities both who are known to be like Democrats and Republicans So it's like not even about that Why would you waste your time and your money doing this and it's true and I also feel that Marisa who actually has like a lot of opportunity outside of being like a very successful real estate Moa, which she is
He has that Netflix show. He does a little bit of Housewives. He's now on social forces. It's like, why is that not enough? - And he has a huge business. - Huge family too? - Yeah, no, but sink your money into this. - Yeah, like bad idea. I feel like he's like soft-launching it, like. - Do not come, do not come. - Yeah, he said if I do it, I have to be further next race and start prepping for it and start prepping my business for more it. Start prepping my life for it, and then you run. Seriously, don't. - Do not. - Yeah, I think I've seen this film before. - It's true. - And I didn't like the ending. - It's true. - And I've given up. - Even though, like outside of that, like when we talk about celebrities who go into politics, like, yeah, why not Mauricio Eumanski, like businessman to the stars? - Yeah. - But no. - That's one of another cities. - Try Portland. - Try Portland, he would guess it. - Where I see how Eumanski, we're having a, what's the word? Protest? No, no, like a, when you like have a campaign like rally? - Yeah. - Running a campaign, fundraising rally event, former Mauricio Eumanski at the Chaz in Portland. Let me know if you guys come. - Yeah, definitely win. - Let me know if you guys can come. - Are you ready for our fifth and final story dance with the Stars Week app? - If it's our fifth and final story dance with the Stars Week app, it's brought to you by Frankie's Organics, a family run snack brand, making delicious certified organic snacks that are always oven baked and never fried. Our fifth and final story dancing with the star's recap last night was Yacht Rock Knight. - Bad theme, but it was all presented by a sponsor. - Oh, what was it, the mocktails? - Yeah, and there was a sponsor floating around the episode. So I feel like it was meant to tie in this sponsor, but it should have been carnival cruising. - Yeah, but I just feel like the level of sponsorship integrations is really not premium. Do you know what I mean? One of the most watched shows on TV, even the Paris baguette stuff, it just feels so branded. And Julien shoving a cocktail in everyone's face. It was just weird. - Yeah, I don't know what the mocktails were about. - I don't want to drink something blue. - No, especially they're all out of breath. - Yeah, right. So when Jason is blue curacao, I'm good. So I didn't like the theme and I felt like I was bored by the episode because of the music. No pussy poppers, you know? - But I like to, I don't know, I don't like Yacht Rock, but I don't mind it. - Is that Isha on Love Choice? - No, I don't mind it. I think that's the point. - I kind of - I kind of minded it. - Yeah, that's the point of Yacht Rock. - It's background, it's just pleasant music. You sort of know the tune, everyone. We're on a yacht and we're rocking out. - For me, it was hard for anyone to have a big moment 'cause there wasn't big music. - Well, let's get into the dances. First, we had Amber Glenn with Pascha Passchhoff. They did really well and they got a 24. And they just do nothing for me. I guess she broke his nose. - Oh, that was crazy. That happens sometimes where you injure the pro and like seriously neighbor was feeling. And I just feel like he was really mad. - I get to vibe like he's not there. You could tell when I feel like Brit and Taylor Hanson really loved each other. They had a real friendship connection. I feel like Pascha and Amber are just partners. - Yeah. - Like that's it. I don't think they hate each other. I don't think they have a singular connection. - They're like a great friendship. - Yeah. So when he got his nose broke by her, he was like, okay. - I felt so bad, it was so awkward. - I felt like I wasn't even there and I felt so awkward. - I was like, I'd rather break my own nose than not to do that and I feel so bad. - Now I loop her in with like Harry Shem Jr. and Jenna to want about like people who were doing so good and make me feel nothing. Actually, it's boring, Laura, Laura, I won't say who. Somebody from that group actually really impressed me last night. So we'll talk about that shortly. But Amber Glenn, like great. You did an amazing job. I don't care. - Next Julia styles with Ezra Sosa. They did a salsa. I thought she was amazing. - Yeah, well she had a lot to prove because she had like a bad week last week and fighting an injury. - And she did really good. - Yeah, what's also interesting to me I was looking it up. So I was saying how Julia styles a similar to Tatiana Lee, how they're like, you know, former TV stars who are now in their 40s. And Jenna to one is the same age as them. And she's also like a former, you know, iconic movie that's now like in her 40s dancing. It's actually interesting that they cast three women who are essentially like the same archetype. - That's what I'm saying. I thought you were gonna say like three women in their 40s 'cause like once you turn 40 and Hollywood, there's no jobs for you. And that's what I was saying about like inclusivity on this show. Like it's not corny, it's not performative. Like yeah, there's three women in their 40s. Like how many women in their 40s, there's Guillermo and there's Ezra. - Like how many people can say that? - Yeah. - How many TV shows can say that? - Yeah. - And it's not like being shoved down your face. Like we're being inclusive. Like no, you just are. - No, I had to look up their agent. - Yeah, right. - Yeah. - Why do they keep introducing Jenna to want us to starve the rookie? Like we're supposed to know what that is. - That's their show and they're promoting the rookie. - Yeah, 'cause they keep saying like Harry Shum starved Grey's Anatomy, like we know Grey's Anatomy. Starved the rookie.
- The rookie. - They want us. - You're more girls, like what is it? - They want us talking about the rookie. So there you go. Now they're going to keep saying it. - Okay. - We've got the toes talking about the rookie. - Okay. - Then we have Guillermo and Whitney. They did their foch trot, they scored a 15. Guillermo made a declaration at the end that he's dancing for the people. - Which I appreciate it because like I'm really, they can skip, I know they're always short for time. Like you can skip the judges criteria of Guillermo. I'm not interested because it's not about the technicality and maybe seeing people say that's not fair. We are all working within their limits. And I think for what he's capable of, he's doing an amazing job and his leaning so much on his personality. I could not love him anymore. - I texted Guillermo to 2153 before he even danced. - Oh, I wait till they dance, you know. But I texted 10 times. I want him to win the Maribol. I want him to be in the finals. And it's so nice because I feel like up until Andy Richter, it's like if you got like the old slow dude, like the stings. - No, like you knew your season was going to be actual. - Yeah, and you're like, it's just a bummer. But like these two guys have really turned that on their heads where it's like, it's actually an advantage. - It's an opportunity. - Yeah, and they're like getting by and doing less. And it's like you used to just be written off immediately. But now you're like someone to contend with. - Yeah. If given the right pro who like really showcases and the person is down to like shot, people really like to Andy's packages. Like his personality was so funny. - Nobody knew him before. - At least like Jimmy Kimmel, the ABC people, like they know Guillermo. It is an opportunity for a pro to like do something with the person. So I feel like it also really speaks like Whitney and Emma for like the TikToks and everything. - No, and it's like just because you have like the older slow man, cast man or woman, like it could actually be an advantage. - Yes, it can. It's exciting. - It is. Then we have Tatiana Ali and Jan Rovnik. They did amazing. I felt like I watched a completely different person. But first of all, she's like having that transformation. She looks insane. It's only three weeks. She literally is so toned. One, two, it was so amazing. I feel like they're best friends. Like kind of unlikely duo, you know? I watch all of their social media. Like they have the best time together. She's so good. I feel like she's just a person who was like a decent dancer. And she is the definition of this show. Like she is getting better every week. I feel like by the end if she continues to like be saved, she'll have like a major moment. Like a dance, I love her. - Yeah. - And every time in her packages, she just like keeps opening up and being honest. Like that's what I'm looking for. - Yeah. - Like I'm not her being my favorite. I couldn't even, I might not have even been able to place her before the show was announced. - That's why it really is sort of an eating plan, feel. Like just 'cause you're the most famous. - True. - 'Cause you're the most physically fit or the best dancer. Like it's so many other factors. And someone that I didn't even know before, who's not the best dancer there is my favorite. - I love her. - Yeah. Then Harry Shum Jr. with Jenna Johnson, they performed a jive with hats and they got a 24. - So you're making my dream come true. They acknowledged a little bit that they're getting hate. She said something to the effect of, she feels like he's being penalized because he is already a dancer. And I don't know if that's, she's saying that like towards the judges are the audience, but like they are very much hated by the audience. And it's not because you're a dancer. Because now I want it, I want a Jordan Fisher. I'm looking for that. I want some good dancing. I don't like watching you dance. - Yeah, I'm so unmoved by everything they do. His package is bore me to tears. Even he brought Kurt Hummel to the ballroom and like I barely moved, you know? I don't know what it is about them 'cause there's a lot of politics within the real inner circle of dancing with the stars about like Jenna and Val being like favorites and all the other pros hating them. Like I don't care about any of that. That's not why I feel the way that I feel. Like I'm just bored. - Yeah, oh, I don't, yeah, I'm not in, I'm a fan of dancing with the stars, but I'm not in like pro. - No, like I guess like Britt has always said that like her dream partner is Harry Shum Jr. - Yeah, but then people clocked this that when they were eliminated the last night, Julie and thankfully said like that Taylor requested Britt as his partner. And that's why they were partnered together. So maybe Britt had always wanted Harry, but they put him-- - Right. - Britt, so it wasn't a snub or anything like that. - Yeah, and you know I'm glad Britt didn't get Harry 'cause like everyone's hating Harry. So she doesn't eat hate. - But she's off the show. - Yeah, which we'll talk about. - Then we have Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart. - So I saw people like so upset about this, like in disbelief when it was like clear to me that he was the one going home. He not only like, he just wasn't getting better. And like somebody has to go home. And I feel like of the people who might have been in contention to go home, the people who have been consistently in the bottom. Like everybody kind of stepped their pussy up last night, except for him. - Yeah, I feel like there are a couple people who are on the edge of going home and it's just a matter of like in which order. - Yes. - Based on scores. - And he was one of them. I think Jackson Olson is one of them. It kills me to say I think Tyler Cameron is one of them. - Oh, no, not my king. He did so good last night. - I love him. - I know. - I thought he did great. He didn't get good scores. - And I thought his scores were so unfair. - His scores were insane. I thought he did great. He had like a very low end. - They didn't put him in the bottom, which was I think like a win for him. - I know. - Which was shocking though, because he was like in the bottom. He was in the bottom last week. His scores were worse this week. And then they let him like go second. - This scoring was off last night because Tyler got like criminally low scores. And so did Tatiana, like she should have gotten eights like Amber. She got sevens. - I don't think she should have gotten eight. - I do. - I don't think she should have gotten eights. And I don't think there was anything wrong with her score. But I feel like she was completely safe. She had a score. - Yeah. - The rest of them. Then Moira and Mark. - Oh, she was great. - She did a quick step. They got a 22. She's amazing. She's a joy to watch. And I feel like by the end we can maybe have a Jordan Fisher moment. - Yeah, she's a joy to watch. Her package is too. She's so funny. She's an amazing personality. She's so bubbly and smiley. She's made for this and her and Mark are best friends. I just love their packages. I love everything they do. - Yeah. It's really, she's a great fund dancer. I feel like she has a style of her own. - Yes. - I agree. - She's like a little fairy floating on the dance floor. - Yeah. - It's really cute. Then Sierra Miller and Brandon Armstrong. They performed a cha-cha and they scored an 18. - I don't really remember. I feel like her scores were low. - She was Karma Brown. - Oh, right, right, right. That's funny. Like for the fans. I feel like I was also thinking that I wish she had done a better job explaining Karma Brown. It was very inner circle. - It is. - And it's like ABC people. This is such a big show. Bravo's low key. Not small, but it's niche. And so I wish that they had explained the lore a little bit better because it's really funny. And it was just like, what is this? Who's Karma? - For those of us who know. - Right. - It was great. - I was happy to see her. - A great. It was great. It was great. - And I think Sierra loves being her. - Me too. - A fun side of her concept. - And I was going to say she definitely came out of her shell. - She was like fun and confident. And the dance wasn't. There was room for improvement. Their scores weren't amazing. But I feel like it was a good night for them in the sense that they weren't in the bottom. And no one was worried about them going home. - And she's definitely improving. But I feel that of the people that are improving. Some people are just making bigger leaps than her. - Yeah. - But every week is better than the next one. So she's really, oh, you can ask for. - Yeah. To a certain point. - Yes. - Yes. - So there's still a lot of people here that are different. - There are so many contestants. - They're going to leave. Like Jackson Olsen and Emma Slater. - Yeah. Jackson Olsen has been like quietly disappointing. - Yeah. - You know, I feel like maybe he had a strong start. And he's kind of like getting worse. - And the packages aren't packaging for me. - No, no. And he seems like a really nice guy. - Yeah. - And I'm not ring against him. - No, me neither. I just thought he would be so much more dazzling. Like he has so much performance experience. Dancing and singing included. And I'm just like every week. It's like he's staying. - Yeah. - And that's not what I thought he was going to be. I thought he really had like potential to go really far. They got to turn it around. - I don't think they will. I think that like he's next. - Yeah. I think he's next to. - Then Conner Wood and Riley Arnold. - When I watch Conner, like I get nervous. Like this is, like I've actually met this person, you know. He did so good. Like I was actually so nervous for him. - Yeah. - Especially, yeah. Last week, like all about improvement. - Exactly. - His hair is hilarious. He had great like, he has great packages and great interviews. Like he really isn't, I think, very endearing to people. How like he wants to, like very badly. But he doesn't take it too seriously. I thought he did a really good job. - I didn't find the dance was like amazing to watch. But it's good enough. - Yeah. - And hopefully by the time it needs to be amazing, I think he can get there because he's like very dedicated to learning and improving. - Yes. - He's like Jackson too a little bit. But I think he's doing better than Jackson. - Yeah, except I think he's like naturally uncoordinated. Whereas Jackson is not. - Yeah. - And he has a music in him. - Yeah, I think like Fibula had like a bigger hill to climb. And he's climbing it. And like Jackson's like kind of going now. - Like Jackson scored an 18 and Conner scored a 20. So Conner is like technically doing better. - Yeah. - But score is based on your particular set of skills. - But I would say their abilities are the same. Based on now what I've seen. - I wouldn't say like their backgrounds and like experience. Like no, I would say that Conner, excuse me, Jackson has a leg up. - You would think. But then how he showed up on day one versus that. - I thought his day one, I thought Conner's day one, excuse me. Jackson's day one was like good enough. And like we would really-- - Yeah. - We would really see improvement with him. But we haven't. - No. - Whereas like Conner started like pretty like regular. And he's getting better. - Yeah. Then we have Jen and Duane and Val Schmerkowski. - So I always say like Jen and Duane is amazing and I don't care. I kind of cared last night. She was really good. I thought the critique from Carrie Ann about like doing too much. It's like girl, this is dancing with the stars. Like it was just, it was kind of like mean and unnecessary. And I thought she was amazing. It was the first time I even like looked at her. I was like, oh yes. Like play mama. - I am starting to like pay attention now because of all the hate and stuff. So I'm like, now I really want to see what it's all about. And she obviously has internalized the hate. She knows that nobody feels anything when she dances. So she told the story about visiting her dad and dancing around to Africa. Like I guess that's like how that's a package, you know. - That is like a point of connection. - Yeah. But after many. - It didn't like stir a lot within me. But it made me want to like her. It made me like want to give her a fair shot. - Yeah. - And she's dancing her heart out. - I know. is not wrong, it's a mean thing today. And I, like, dare you.
said I do look forward to when they slow it down. It's a little more trauma. It's a little more elegant and we can like see. It's just like it's it's very cheerleader like and it's it's not like I'm not connecting to it. Yeah, it was the first time I I like I wasn't day D.O.A. watching her like I felt something and I was like she's really good. Yeah, and maybe she can be the one to give me my Jordan Fisher moment. Right, right. But last time was good. It was it was a really good dance, but like it didn't stir anything. Yeah. But I think we'll get there and let's just like give her enough time to get there. Yes, because we need great dancers on the show you guys. I don't want to watch Shite for two hours. It's true. And there was like kind of like a lot of Shite last night. There's a lot of Shite and we're like putting a bow on some of the Shite. Of course, because we're like contextualizing it like given like this person is an actor, but like I'm trying to be dazzled and I wasn't dazzled really last night. Mm-hmm. Then Tyler Cameron and Charna Burgess. What do they dance to? And Jive to still the first one? I thought it was adorable. I thought he loved him. I thought he was light on his feet given his size. Oh, yes, the size. That was so unfair. He's huge. I remember the whole thing now. I thought he did great to the footwork. Mm-hmm. I love Tyler Cameron. Like, that's my winner. Like, I really want him to go far. You got a 17, which is pretty low. I think that's unfair. They were giving him on fair scores. I agree. I think he really did a good job given the fact that like he's this enormous guy. And then they came in and to, of course, his lady love, his lady love, and Hannah Brown. And Hannah Brown was obviously there because she's a dancer with the stars alumnus. Yeah. But that is her ex-boyfriend, but like, leave Hannah Brown alone. She's happily married. Yeah. And I think she was in the background the whole episode and like ex-friends. Yeah, I think they would quarantine her. He's engaged. She's married, of course. I think that like, maybe it's a little awkward, but for the most part, I think they would consider like friends. Yeah. And then Rachel Kirkano was like part of his crew. Interesting to see that. Rachel Kirkale. Because her ex is Matt James, whose Tyler Cameron's like, ex-best friend, unclear where they stand today, but they became famous as best friends in this world. Matt James is only on the show. And we only know that Tyler because of Tyler. Yes. So Tyler got Rachel in the divorce, which is weird. I think so too. What's the tea based on vibes? Like, we think Tyler and Matt also hate each other. So the enemy of the enemy is my friend. You know, they both have the common enemy, but boys don't hate each other. I know. But I feel that Matt James and Tyler like hate each other. I don't think they do. I'd actually think we would be surprised to find out that they're fine. Or like, no, or they just don't care about it. Like Matt lives in New York now and Tyler lives in Florida. And it's like, well, you know what? Live here. Well, see, does Matt drop in the ballroom? No, he probably won't. Let's say he probably won't. Next and finally, we had Ezra Fretch with Daniela Caragas. It's freck, by the way. I say different every week. I'm letting you know what it is. I mean, she were curious. Freck. Freck. Um, I feel that like the producers are confident in his ability to dance and move forward because he probably got 30 seconds of voting time. Like they dance in the polls close 30 seconds later, which is so unfair. And that's how you know, there's way too many people on the show right now. Um, he was great. I feel like, again, speaks more to Yacht Rock. Like, I wasn't, I feel like last week, I was like jumping out of my seat. Like, I was like, it's a good dance. I didn't feel so much this felt really short. Yes. But he did the Fox drop, which again, explained in his package, why it will be difficult for him to do. And I'm loving, I'm loving the explanation. And then I love when he's like, but could I do it like this? And she's like, yeah. And then we see the way that they sort of rework it, rejigger the dance. It's so impressive for him. And you're gonna get my vote every time. And I know like Derek Huff. When he gives his critiques, like, it's, I feel actually, I really relate to it because anytime someone's talking and it's like, I can relate. I'm like, Oh, yeah, that happened to me too. And I know he's like, yeah, right. It's like busting out of him. Like, yeah, Amy and I did that too. Um, and he didn't bring it up last night. And I was really proud of him. Um, but I really, like, I actually, I'm not even like coming for dark. I know we have like fake beef. Like, I thought he looked great. I love to ask God. And I, I, I was like, is he gonna bring it up again? Cause like, I would, it's the relevant. It's relevant. Um, but I'm sure he like is very aware of not wanting to bring it up. I feel like now when I see him, like, I just feel like he's like thinking about what we said. I don't think so. I saw I'm like dancing. I saw. Just by the way, net net of that clip, like, we said good things about him. And I was, I didn't say anything that I don't want him dancing. I said, why do just the huffs get it? Like, is they different than the other pro? Well, do you see Mark's mother? Was she dance? Yeah. I saw a backstage video of like, Mark and is Shirley Alice. I think she's like a dance person. I saw a video of them dancing. Like it looked like the intro. I was like, did I miss that? And then of course, Derek. Listen, you're not beating me. I'm not getting into a tarot cuff. I respect tarot cuff. You guys know, like, I was joking that joke, like went way too far. And I'm like, you can't beat me into this conversation. No. And you know, I'm a huge fan of the huffs. Like, I'm not even I don't want to say we've, we've sort of been like pitted against one another. Well, not pitted. Cause like, I, like, I did say that thing one time. But I feel like people just misunderstood and I am sorry. And like, I, I relate to Derek. Like, I just, you know, the meme of like the kid is trying not to cough in class with like the veins. That's him trying not to bring up that he'd one time dance with Amy, you know? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So those were the dances and then Taylor and Brite went home, which was a little surprising. I think Taylor has like a lot of fans. He, I think there are a lot of people who could have gone home last night and happened to be them, which is sad. Cause she went home early last season too. She was obviously not happy. Okay. So let's talk about the alleged beef between Brite and Guillermo. Well, first, let's talk about her reaction. And they said it was so sad. She was like, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. She was going to cry, but then she spoke and it didn't sound like she was going to cry, but she was very upset. And she felt, and she kept saying sorry to him, but like, what did she do? Nothing. I don't know. And I had seen like a montage of all the times she was eliminated. And she like always tells her partner, sorry, which is like really sad. I know. Cause like, it's not her fault. He didn't get better. Why did she snub Guillermo? What was that? Right. So then, of course, you know, when it's over, the credits roll, all the pros and the dancers and like the fans rush to the stage and hug the people who are leaving. And everyone goes in for their hug. Guillermo goes in for a hug and she like literally swerves on him. So I think either it could have just been like, there's a lot going on and she's hugging me and I'm being pulled here and I have to go. It could have been totally like explained way. But if you were to look into it, like Guillermo, I think a lot of people feel that he should go home. He had the lowest scores every week since we started. Um, and Britt went home instead of him. So maybe she's mad at him, but like, seriously, she doesn't seem like an unreasonable, crazy person. And that isn't unreasonable and crazy thing to feel. He's fall that he's older and slower and that people like him and having a hard time like. Yeah. I feel like if she's asked about it, she'll say, oh my god, I didn't see him. There's so much going on. But I don't know if you watch it. Yeah. I know what I saw. And I think she just like didn't want to look at him in that moment because she probably feels like he should be going home. Yeah. But she doesn't seem like that at all. Like a vindictive or like, it brat, like she just seems like really nice. Yeah. So I don't know, but the video is very confusing and upsetting. Guillermo is sort of like standing there. People are like, she's not going to return. Why would she be, which part would she be mad about because you have to look up every person she stands with, like it is shocking. Baron Davis is like the best of them. They're not saying it's steward. I think actually this guy was the best. Britt steward, partners, partners, it's like old person after old person after old person. Johnny weird. Oh, okay. Well, that's actually like really good. Martin Hove, who's an actor who I just assume is probably older, but I'm never even part of him. I'm looking it up. Yeah. An ancient old man. Um, yeah, but you know what Andy Richter and Gareble are, that's not a dexterity. It's not. It's really not. Daniel Durant, who's now her husband. Oh, yeah. The actor from Kodad. He's hard of hearing. So she should be not mad about that. Right. Cause she met her part, her, her husband Adrian Peterson, who's a football player. Let's look him up. And then Baron Davis also who is a basketball player, but how old is Adrian Peterson? I don't think he's terribly old. He, but athletes aren't notoriously bad, except for, of course, I'm sure they have a huge, right? He's 41. That's not, then you're saying like Jenna and the gals. No, I think that like a lot of times, like, you know, when an Alex Earl or Whitney, uh, layave gets cast, there are certain people who get cast who you know are going to take you to the finale. And I think that Brits never really gotten one of those. And I think this is just what people in the fandom say, like, Val gets those people a lot, Jenna gets those people mark that gets those people even more like Moira and, uh, who was last season, Whitney agreed. Who would you say of the men in this season are confirmed going to make it to the finale? That would be very shum. Okay. Who is her dream partner? Okay. Which is why it felt like such a snub. Okay. And that's like literally it. Who else is on the show? Guillermo Harry, Jackson, Connor, Tyler Cameron. I feel it'll be a female heavy, uh, finale. And I just think that there's not anyone here that was like, Oh, they're for sure going to make it. And like that would be the best for except for Harry Shum. But honestly, he's having a terrible season. No, and they're like the most hated cup. When the cast was announced, there was like a lot of hate for it. And I didn't really agree. And now that we're in it, like it's not an amazing cast. Yeah. And I think also it is easier with the women. Like we know who the great women are going to be. Like you said, Whitney, and you didn't say a man from last season that was going to go all by maybe a Jordan Fisher type. We didn't know Robert Irwin was going to be so good. And I think that it had a lot to do with Whitney. Yeah. And also ABC just like wanted him to win. Of course, because he hosts the next pro. Right. But like this season, when you say the people who are going to be good this season, it's a lot of women. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think with the men like you sometimes get like a clumsy old man. I do think I'd have to look at the stats, but the list of winners has to lean more to women. Yeah. Joey Grazia, day, Joey. He was Jenna. Yeah. And so you would think like Tyler would be right. Joey, but like he's not, I mean, we love him, but like he's struggling. Yeah, he is. So I feel like there's not
- Aside from Harry. - There's not. - There's not like obvious that she's getting snug like every single time, 'cause I feel like just the men. - No, people just like her a lot and feel very defensive for her. - Yeah, and I hope next season. - Even though she does like sign language, like when she's telling people about it, like it's so good. - Yeah, oh I saw it. - And love her. - Now I know how it is not. - No, I know why. I didn't realize that was why. - Yes, and so also I saw you, like how you saw Jordan Fisher. I saw like one of their dances where, you know, you don't even think about how difficult it is to dance with no music if you can't hear. So they did their dance and I think like an iconic part of their journey was that like in the middle of the dance, like she cuts the music and they dance silently, just like sort of reflects like what he's hearing. - Man, I've chill. - It was chilling. - I watched it this morning, it was really beautiful. And then the music comes back and like they finished and people were like screaming their heads off and then they got married. - That's really cute. - It's really cute. That's what I mean when I say like, it's not corny inclusivity, like that's so cute. - Yeah, that's real. - That's real. And it's like, yeah, I didn't even think about like being a hard, hard, if hearing person, trying to choreograph a dance. - Yeah. - You have to think like one, two, three, the whole time like in numbers. - Yeah. If you were on dancing with the stars, who would you want your partner to be? - Mark. 'Cause obviously he gets like favoritism and I need favoritism 'cause I'm in a stank. I think that like we would like vibe personality wise. - You think? - Yeah, because when I saw-- - Have some traders? - But the thing is everyone liked him on traders. Like he was kind of like this affable like good personality kind of guy. So yeah, I think I would like him. - Okay. - Who else? Like, not pal. - Not Pasha. - Ezra? - Oh, I would like Ezra. I think we'd have a good time and we'd make lots of good TikToks. - Jan Rovnik. - Oh, I also would like Jan. - With the tailors. - Of course. - Mark Brandon. - I don't really know a lot about Brandon. I know his wife, 'cause she comes up on my TikTok all the time. - Yeah, I see. - But I don't know his lore like at all. - And then Val. - Yeah, I don't think I want to be with Val. - Too much pressure. - Like, and I've never seen-- - Mark is the most pressure. - No, have you ever seen, like this, I'm now on like DWTS archival TikTok. Max, the brother, like, abusing people. Like, he used to be so fucking crazy. Like, have you seen the one where he like, rips his microphone off? Like, it's really scary. I forget who the, was it Brandy, maybe. And I just feel like that. I don't want to be around that kind of energy. - You think Val is like Maxim? - I don't think that he is, but I think maybe he has potential to be. - And there's a lot of like, former pros that I now see around like even Lindsay Arnold with-- - Yeah, it's with her TikTok day in life. - No, and 'cause I saw the Jordan Fisher. - Oh, oh yeah. - And then I actually just saw an ad that maxed some in Petroden. They were dancing and putting on lotion. - Of course, I hope they were dancing. - It is very compelling ad for advertisement, for lotion. And it makes me like, want to know more about them. - Yeah, so if you do want to like go in on the lore, like there's so much, 'cause you know, like, Emma used to be married. Emma's eating Alan now, who got out? Who was his partner? Oh, Giata. - Yeah, I could even do the Alan. - I could be the Alan too. - I could even do the Alan. - I feel like Alan's someone like we went to camp with. He's like, I'm Jewish, Alan Bernstein, I know him. - Ever since I've seen him on the screen, I'm like, wait, I just saw you at lunch. - Yeah, literally, like, he looks like, like our cousins. Like, we totally know him, we're definitely related. Actually a lot of the pros are Jewish, about the Max and Tmerkowski and Valor Jewish. Alan Jewish, is he? - Which makes Stingella by association. - Oh, I love that. And then, okay, so Emma, who's dating Alan, I think she used to be married to Sasha, who's actually not a pro this season, but he's like that little brunette guy. - Gosh, Barbara. - Yes, yes. - I know him. - I think he won with Caitlin Bristol. - Okay. - Yeah. Emma, you seem married to him. - That's crazy. Why isn't he a pro anymore? - Well, so he comes up on my TikTok all the time and the comments are like, wish you were a pro, wish you were a pro. And he's like liking all of them. I think maybe he's just sort of like aged out and they're keeping him in the fault. He does a lot of the TikTok stuff. He dances with the troop. So I think that like, you can only be a pro for so long. It's like a physical thing and they have to bring in new people. So you can't really be mad. He was on a for so long. I think he won a couple of times. And now he's still so fired. They really keep everyone like in the family. - Yeah, very interesting. - Yeah, it is like, it's an underworld. - I'm not gonna go watch old seasons 'cause that would be inferior to not be able to recap it. - Or vote, or vote, like, or vote. - But that is, that's cool. - Yeah, it's cool. - Well, that's your dance with the stars recap.
