Dan's No. 1 Observation From the Football Weekend | Hour 3 (feat. Amin Elhassan)
40m 45s
The Don Levittar Show features a mix of NFL observations, quirky anecdotes, and commentary on team performances and player dynamics. Key highlights include Darian Mensa’s impressive touchdown total, a bizarre bug sighting on a kicker’s helmet during a Cardinals-Chargers game, and a significant upset where the Cardinals defeated the Chargers by 9.5 points. The analysis also touches on the Chargers’ offensive strategy, noting a shift toward heavy reliance on tight ends under Mike McDaniel, including concerns over quarterback Deshaun Watson’s performance and the effectiveness of a rookie center. Additional commentary includes a surprising claim that Jalen Hertz is equivalent to Mark Burley, a long-tenured but unremarkable player, and a humorous take on the lack of clarity in broadcast graphics. The segment also mentions other off-topic events, such as a failed CrossFit competition involving self-pooping, and reflects on the unpredictability of football, including coaching decisions, player injuries, and fan reactions. Despite the chaotic and often self-deprecating tone, the show provides a lively, critical, and sometimes absurd look at the weekend’s football action, blending humor with deeper insights into team strategies and performance trends. The show acknowledges its own shortcomings in editing and structure, admitting to being caught off guard by the pace of the season and under-preparing for the content flow.
You are listening to the Don Levittar Show in partnership with the Draft King Sports Act now live in all 50 states. Amino Hassan will be in here shortly to do his weekend observations in the interim. I have my 10th rank number 10 observation from 9th football weekend. And that observation is that Darian Mensa has eight touchdowns this season and four incompletions. We're going to track that throughout the season. Number nine, I don't know if you guys saw this or not, but it's not something I've seen before. They cut away, so I do not know what happened. But in the Chargers Cardinals game, it was clear at one point that the field goal kicker ran out there and was ready to take the kick. And there was a giant bug on his helmet that was climbing toward a hole in his helmet. And then they they went away from it, but he didn't know it was there. And I thought to myself, if that's a hole in the helmet that that bug can actually get into the helmet, that could be really distracting when he's kicking to have it didn't look like a fly. It looked like a large insect of some sort. It's going to lay eggs in his ear. I don't think that that's what was going to happen. I just think it was going to distract him. But I believe that game also leads me to number eight on my observations, which is the Cardinals had the biggest upset in the sport this weekend. Correct. That of not just professional football, all the all of professional football, the biggest upset in the sport. I don't know if it was by point spread or not, but the biggest surprise was almost a double digit spread. It was 9.5 was the Cardinals beating the chargers, which leads me to observation number eight, which is seven. Herbert and Mike McDaniel, how's that going to go? Because that did not look like anything other than passes to the tight end. I mean, they have Lad McConkey. But when they had McConkey and Keenan Allen and Mike Williams just in Herbert looked a certain kind of way. And I thought Mike McDaniel was going to have something in jokers there now. And and they also have around a gets and they were just throwing to the tight end. And they got beat by a Cardinals team at home. And that did not look like the chargers team from last year. We should mention McConkey got drilled and that seemed like a bad injury and they were moving the ball better when they had him to target. Well, dude, in the first half of the first drive, Herbert was three for three for 60 yards. It was the ultimate Conkey and it's like their offense runs through him. Like in Mike McDaniel scheme, like he is the tirey kill of what they want to do. Moving him short, getting him lateral, like, then you get hurt and popped and like, all right, who do we have to throw to? We have 19 tight ends like I used them. It's not flashy, but the center is very important in the Mike McDaniel. I'm not kidding. And they have a rookie center from Florida. And I actually think that that is a huge with the run game, a lot of pulling. The Aaron Brewer became a pro bowler under Mike McDaniel's system. So I just think that rookie center is actually a big fat good on you. One catch for Harrison, huh? He stinks. I don't get it. He stinks. He was so good in school. He's so slow. He works, sorry. He's so slow and just has zero hands. He caught one from a miracle ball that Jacobi was set through it to the opposite signline. But like, he's got no juice whatsoever. Kendrick Bourne, who's 31 years old, went eight for 75. Oh, Marvin Harrison, Jr.'s never had an eight reception game in his life. That's not true. At least at this level. That's not true either. I'll look. You're just saying things. You are just saying things. I don't think that that's true. I know people are down on him. But I don't believe that what you're saying is technically fact. Why do you think it's okay to just say that? After it. Part of the reason why he's so overrated is because Gus Johnson, he kind of saw a guest step on Maserati Morph. Maserati Morph. I mean, he was fast in college. He was faster than everybody he was playing against in college and all of a sudden he's not fast anymore. Now we've got him being slow and so far as a first round pick. I have gigantic breaking news, gigantic. Is it true that gigantic, gigantic breaking news sounder. Tony was right. Oh, yeah, man, Marvin Harrison, Jr. has had a hundred yard receiving, he said eight catches. Not what I said. You said eight catches for sixty seven. You said you said you said he said he said he's never had a game. He said he has never had eight catches in a game. The most catches he has ever had in a game is seven. You weren't listening to me. He said, you said both the yard and two and four and had eight for seventy five. And I said eight catches. Marvin Harrison, Jr. has never had eight catches in his life. It's exactly what he said. Well, we're in this one. And you. You. You. You. Yeah, you. I say stuff. But you better start listening to what I say. I know. You might sound good. You might sound good if you listen. What I say. How about that? Straight at you. I say, yeah, we better listen out. Let's let let's not let this distract from that good center point ahead. Dude, that was great. That was a really good ball. That was a real insightful, insightful analysis. I shocked as he was like, whoa, what's that? We were looking at each other like I can't believe this is the analysis he's given. Who talks about the center? Mike McDaniel does. Mike ball in the office. He's a great center. This guy knows ball. I mean, whatever man, dolphin fans really reveled in that chargers game. Oh, yeah, it's all we have. I'll be honest with you. It was interesting. I didn't think it was like that. I actually, I was big on all the chargers players this off season. I went into that game like kind of like wanting to see them be terrible, but it could be a charger. I was expecting them to be like really good. And I think they still will be it'll be fine. I think that Carlos might just be a little better than we expected. I really paid it very little attention. It didn't bother me watching the chargers group chat was really enjoying Mike McDaniel struggles. Yeah. Yeah. And also there's always been a Herbert thing because they they always hated Herbert because the national discourse because a tour when they. So the thing is now they hate to but they have not dropped the hate for Herbert because they held on to the Herbert resentment. And now they hate Mike McDaniel too. So dolphin fans don't like the charger. Dolphins fans just kind of hate everybody. You think Dolphins fans hate Mike McDaniel these days. I know that they've always hated Herbert because they were supporting to a and even went to a started sucking. They've always been on Herbert's ass because of what they were born into. And now that McDaniel's over there. I don't have any hit with Herbert. This is a thing. Keep an eye on it. I mean, Mike's not wrong. I saw what he's talking about in the group chat, but I'm with us as I for some reason. I don't doesn't affect me. I don't blame Mike McDaniel honestly. It's not just a group chat to sample social media from Dolphins Twitter. People are really enjoying Herbert and McDaniel not doing it together. It's just trying to grasp on anything we can. I mean, Dolphins fans, we have nothing looking for anything. I mean, truly and utterly most of Douglas most of my timeline was Caleb Douglas and Jacob Rodriguez. It's just being like, oh, rookies. It's a proxy where that you haven't let go of. This is where I was rooting for Oklahoma State just because of all the shit they talked about Mario at Oregon. I'm a Mario Christmas fan, but Mario Christmas for more than two. I'm with you. Another Dan landing. Get out of here. Win something. Win something. All right. He you're right. He's a Mario Christmas merchant. I agree. Here's a merchant. I'm a Mario Christmas merchant. Why say like that? He's a merchant. I don't know. Who was that supposed to be? It's supposed to be you big dog. And so you said murder work on that. A Mario Christmas murder. Dan lebertar. I've never stepped foot on that campus. If you told me right now your life depends on it. Go to Santa Fe University and just just take a picture. Jonathan Sassilo. I would die. I don't know where it is. This is the Dan lebertar show. I mean, Al Hassan is with us now. We're going to do weekend observations with him. What did you make of the timing though? I mean, on Balmer in the middle of the night last night during NFL football in order to make sure that we're not talking about this too much today. I chose the man chose the middle of the night on a football Sunday to say okay, never mind about all this stuff. I've said I'm going to go away quietly now. I'm going to stick up for Steve Balmer and say it wasn't the middle of night for us on the west coast. It was a very reasonable 8 p.m. So it's like, okay, so that happens. You guys it's your problem. It's your fault. East coast. You guys have a thing all messed up. You think that was strategic the timing of that? The day for sure. Yeah. So football Sunday. Absolutely. Did you see Danilo Galenari today on some Italian podcast to he had some things to say about why Leonard, you see this? I mean, what do you say? He said, quote, he should have to pay back all of that $50 million. He changed the trajectory of my career and put me in a difficult situation by sending me away from Los Angeles. What happened in my NBA career? Wasn't decided by a GM or an owner, but by a player who decided that the team wasn't good enough and wanted something else. Sounds like he's got a place on our podcast, man. This guy who saw this big news story and said, this is actually all about me. Yeah, yeah, Danilo. Yeah, sure. How do you play better? Get in there and make it about yourself. Time now for a means weekend observations in this time for me to share his game notes. No one in the media will tell you what happened better than my boy. I mean weekend observations is brought to you by Miller Light. Legendary moments start with the light. Dan, we got a lot of stuff to get to NFL week one team USA winning the World Cup.
U.S. Open Finals. This is good, man. Thoughts on the Injoiler Noir 300. But we begin with a single word. Capitulate. 'Cause that's what Steve Bomber did last night. Late last night I guess if you live on the East Coast. In a message to Clippers Nation, Bomber acknowledged that while there are still disagreements concerning findings in the report, the Clippers will comply with the punishments levied. Translation. My lawyer has finally convinced me that we have a snowflake's chance in Satan's armpit of winning a case without considerable collateral damage. You know what that discovery has? Yeah. To watch out for that. Feel like we could have saved a lot of time and energy Obama had did this a long time ago. I could have had a summer. Instead of doing God knows what. Winning a Pulitzer? Well, that happened in May. I feel like in May he should have been like, "I'm my bad." And then I could have had June, July and August. But here we are. The Dolphins. So bad that made the Raiders look competent. They went two for ten on third-down conversions and allowed Malik Willis to get sacked five times. Other than that, how's the play, Mrs. Lincoln? Oh, I wanted a picture of like Abe Lincoln flumped over and Mary Toggle. Guess we don't have that photo. Get the images. The Bears scored 59 points in a week one win over Carolina. I'm sure Bears fans nationwide are taking this with the calm sobriety while at Moardi Gras. Congrats to Aaron Rogers. We're finding time to win the last week one of your career in between podcasting about why Mena Cymes isn't your friend anymore. If I had a time machine, I would love to go back to 2013 and find Mena and tell her about her future. Top five statements that would blow 2013 Mena Cymes mind the most. O. L. I. The Seahawks will have won not one but two Super Bowls. O. L. I. You no longer work for Bloomberg covering business, but you work for ESPN as one of its leading NFL voices. Number five. Donald Trump is going to win the presidential election, mismanaged, a pandemic, then come back four years later and win another election, always subverting democracy and alienating every alienation in the process while pandering the Vladimir Putin just kind of like gifts 1985. Number four. You're going to go host a very successful podcast with your dog. Your dog is going to be named Lenny. I don't think he existed back then either. I thought that one too. Podcasts also are going to be really big in the future. I don't know if you know this meaning. Uh, that podcast number three, that podcast will be produced by Peyton and Eli Manning. Number two. Air Rogers will consider you a friend. I believe at the time he's the reigning MVP of the league. But yeah, in 2013, Mena, yeah, in the future, he's going to be, he's going to think you're a friend. And number one, years later, Air Rogers will still be playing somehow and he'll be moaning on a podcast about why you aren't friends anymore. Again, I cannot stress enough 2013, Mena, how big podcasts are? Everyone has one. What's the lines as if you don't have a podcast? You're a huge loser. That's how it is 2013, Mena. That's to the U.S. women's, congrats to the U.S. women's national team. We're winning their fifth consecutive people World Cup. Led by Brianna Stewart's 22 and 10 and Jackie Young 18 points and four main three pointers. For all the white supremacists out there wondering how Sophie Cunningham did. She was on a boat boot up with her black guy. That's right, she didn't a black guy. You listen closely, you can hear thousands of tiny brains exploding. She was also at the NASCAR race. The enjoy Illinois 300, which takes place in St. Louis for some reason. Well, you know what? I will skip ahead for that note just for you, Mike. Mike, what'd you think of Carlos' big win this weekend at the enjoy Illinois 300? Oh, Hendrick's starting to figure it out, pal. I'm kidding. I don't care what you think. What do you think of this weekend, man? Then, do you know about this weekend, man? I do, unfortunately. That guy's going to be a star. It's the guy, man. Only made it because a scheduling conflict for the watermelon. Nah, man. Watermelon man, your time is coming gone. You've been Wally Pipped. There's a new kid in town, a new Lou Gehrig in his name. It was a game, man. You ain't get enough of that guy. Rumors of Derek Henry's demise have been greatly exaggerated. How? He ran a rough shot on the Colts. How? That's the game, then. They signed him for, like-- Sometimes rumors. One year, $10 million. Two years ago, because he's surprising. Nobody wanted him. Why didn't the Titans keep him? Because rumors of his demise. They were greatly exaggerated. Turns out they weren't true, though. Also, stop and smell the flowers while you're at it. 150 yards in a titty. This is the year the Ravens make the Super Bowl. I'm saying it right now. Rumors of Carson Wentz's demise have also been greatly exaggerated. Twelve of 19 and two for three titties. He checked in after Colin Murray took a nasty hit in the first quarter. They concluded he was concussed when he kept complaining about the lag on his Call of Duty stream. Does archmaning suck or not? No. Brought to you by, I follow college football exclusively on threats. I don't know. They didn't watch the second of that game. But I know for, like, a strong two and a half hours, it was like, this dude sucks. And at the end, it's like the greatest quarterback was ever played. Yes? No? Maybe? Time-honored DLS tradition. The U beating up on FAMU. Felt racist. Although I'm not quite sure how. Dan, this is your wheelhouse. How was it racist? I don't know how to make that racist. Felt racist. How do you felt it? I felt it. How do you felt it? I felt it. Felt racist. 77, 77. They took their foot off the gas. By the way, the FAMU raddlers won the fourth quarter. They won the fourth quarter, seven to nothing. That's very hard to do in a 77. And the striptons scored from? A white guy. Go. US opens women's final. Arena of Salvelinco versus Elena Rebaquina. Salvelinco failed at her bid to join Serena Williams at Chris Everett as the only three-feet winners of the US Open. Afterwards, she called and congratulated Reba Link at the net, broke her racket, and cussed out a caravan. Dan, I would have paid a million dollars. I would have gone into double mortgages. Americans asked her to beat the post-game presser and ask her if the losing of the US Open felt worse than the winning of the US Open. Everyone knows what I meant. Stop bringing it up. US Open's men's final. He should Blake Shelton versus Sausage Sverev. After the match, Sausage took a moment to Dirty Max Shelton's girlfriend in the crowd. Abe Froman, you sick son of a bitch, you. Know about the Abe Froman? Sausage King of Chicago. Put on the pole, Ju-ju. Do you know about the Abe Froman? Yeah. Look at my poigino. He's back, man. He delivered a jet week one victory for the first time since Fitzmagic in 2015. Just when I thought it was out, he pulled me back in.
Hey Dallas Cowboys, you look dork, you look 230 yards and three titties, my quarterback with problematic politics. The last time the Jets and Giants both won their week one matchup, the Weinstein company was dominating the box office with Inglorious bastards, and that wholesome kid-friendly Miley Cyrus was sobbing the charts with party in the USA. That is not the wholesome one that sank party in the USA, guys. Come on. Wholesome was the giveaway. Oh, and Joan Rivers beat out Herschel Walker, Dennis Rodman, and Andrew Dice Clay to Window of Prentice. What hell of a where are they now? The wrong one died. Wow, hey Mike, oh, we already did this one. Never mind. I thought, you just said where the hell are they now? I thought that would lead to hell and your closer. Oh, no, there's more hell. There's more hell. Yes, they're where the hell are they now, they say where are they now? That's my point. I cuss a lot, but the cussing sometimes finds its way. Tinephob episode three, 24, the saint, starting Val Kilmer and Elizabeth Shoe, a movie where Val Kilmer plays press up while Elizabeth Shoe somehow contracts an agent, forget she's Elizabeth fucking Shoe. He's like, I hope he likes me, you're Elizabeth Shoe, of course he likes you. Tinephob wherever you get podcasts, Vlad Guerrero Jr. just hit his first home run at home this season, Dan. That's crazy. How in the hell that one, which is shoehorned in is not even a very natural hell, but speaking of hell, Argentina, those are the weekend observations. I got to do better than that. I got to spell, check my thing, I got to search for a house in my script. Number seven on my list of unique observations from the NFL weekend. I believe that Colts receiver Josh Downs should change his first name to first. I think that that's a good marketing move for him. And I think that's something that he should embrace. Number six on my list of observations that are unique to the football weekend and Oklahoma offensive lineman pooped his pants. And if you're an offensive lineman, it's the one position other than kicker that cannot be doing that like you just see is this really up that that looks like poop that's not something that that isn't something that you can be doing. I don't agree. I think it's you should be doing. If you're on the trenches, pay yourself, hit yourself, do whatever you got to do because when you're in the scrum and somebody's got a face down there and there's bodies all over the place and you look up, did that come to himself? That's what you want to be. That's the perfect place. If you ask any alignment, you have stink. What he wants to do. He wants to stink. It's got to be shot on the rest of the game, right? I didn't realize that that was the center. I don't know that it is. You just want your center expert today. You stunned if I knew it. I would have said you stunned everyone here by saying what it is that you said earlier. I thought you go. I'm still in shock. I'm still looking at comments about it. One reason to watch Oklahoma with the sound up and it's like, he's looking for beers. I got a kick out of that. All right. Rocky beers. Former FIU. The Panther. 81 beers. That was the weekend. Speaking of poop, did you guys see that cross, someone doing a CrossFit competition started pooping themselves and they didn't stop and like they had to like cancel and clean everything. It was this lady and I did not put the photos that I saw where you see her doing it and it's running down legs. It is. She won. I didn't see that she won. I saw this. She captioned. I saw. I was a dialed to that competition. Same. But when that goes across your timeline, you've got to at least give it a look. Give it a look. See. I'll get you more details. Thank you. Number five. Three. On my list. I've gotten lost along the way here. So just a couple of times, the Eagles are going to be the same exactly this year that they were last year. Correct. I don't know. If you look at some of the advanced stats, I actually don't love their offensive line this year, Sequan got hit in the back field like more than any other time in his career. So little, little shades of something going on, I mean, I'm with the touch push. It would make sense that an offensive line that has had to be that much more physical than everyone in the sport would wear down over time because your body cannot just be stronger than everyone else at that sport without it wearing down over time. I don't believe an offensive line in that sport is built to be great for six, seven, eight years without that a mat. Like the Philadelphia Eagles, when they won the Super Bowl, it was simply by mulling people in a way that disguised whether or not their quarterback was any good or not says. I think a lot of people with Jalen Hertz. I think a lot of quarterbacks could have had that kind of success behind that offensive line. I feel like we're never going to know if Jalen Hertz is really good or not. Like I lean toward him being good, he was good yesterday. Yeah. I think he just goes through these weird ruts where he can't throw, but well, but you are what you consistently do in that sport. Like it's not everyone in that sport can have a few good quarters of few good games. We've seen JJ McCarthy have a good fourth quarter. Like anybody in that sport playing that position can do it on occasion. It's what do you do most consistently? What are you most probable to do? The thing that he's had with most consistency is new offensive play callers every single season, even going back to college, right? He's had new offensive coordinator after new offensive coordinator, new scheme, new scheme that's trying to fit him in to a system where it's like, all right, his arm is good, but he's not an accurate passer. He can run, but he's not as fast as he used to be. The offensive line is good, but now it's good as it used to be like, there's a lot of things happening with Sean Maine and company that trying to get Jalen to run a little bit more to pass a little bit more. Now you don't have a Jay Brown, Dallas Carter steps up like their offense is a little bit in flux not trying to get an identity, but I thought he outplayed Jim Daniels and Jim Daniels now. We understand what happened last year, but he's healthy. So that's why it's the whole season, the whole game's on things, by the way, question of what the, the penalty brutal can't do that your say 800 years old. You know that you cannot mess. You cannot touch the yellow post whatsoever. Don't touch it. Don't look at it. Just score. Give it to the thing. You've scored a million touchdowns in your career. How you want to be a B now you want to jump on the thing and cost your team a victory? Come on. Javante Williams had a bad one too, making them down eight point to the defenders as he was like. Walking into the end zone. He's like taunting. I like that one though. Well, they missed the extra point because of that from 48 yards and it made it 28 20. But the Cowboys weren't going to stop the Giants at the end of that game under any circumstance. Like that. What the Giants did at the end of the, I don't think that John Harbock can feel any better about how they won that game, where it's just, hey, Dallas Cowboys, we're going to take this football and we're just going to stuff it in your mouth until we're kneeling at the end of the game. You know what we're going to do? We're just going to keep giving it to Scatabo and you're not going to be able to do anything about it. The only thing it could have felt better is if the Ravens didn't look that good. I think I figured out who Jalen Hertz is. He's Mark Burley. He's a guy. Let's let him let him talk it out. Always available at his peak was really good. Not the very best in the league, but can help lead you to a ton of victories and his right and a title and his best ability is just consistent availability. And Mark Burley stuck around for years and years and years. He is the fourth most starts since the turn of the century and he was around. He was there. He was available. But ultimately like, was he ever really that great? What are? What other shows are doing that day? I don't like it. Jalen Hertz is Mark Burley. Was he the ace on that 2005 White Talk stuff? Yes. I don't know if Mark Burley can throw, but then he just stuck around forever. And at the end of his career, you're like, what is this guy still doing here? He was number one for a little while, then number two, then a three or four for like ten years. You think of it? But he was there of all the player comps Jalen Hertz has gotten his career if you think he's ever gotten that. Mark Burley. How about John Lackie? John Lackie. Now I don't like John Lackie. Talk to me about John Lackie. I'm intrigued. I mean, he was around for another guy. One in title. One in title. He was there. Has he won? I'm more like a number two. A lot of face. But I mean, Burley. That's why Burley. Yeah, but Burley was the guy. John Garland was after that. It works way quicker than Jalen Hertz does. That's true. That's what I think of with Burley. The only thing I think of is that he can always give you a two-hour game. Like he was making baseball fast before anybody who was really that time that he took the glove and he threw it underneath his legs to get the guy over first base. You remember that? What about when the Marlins made him a contract? They would say him some made up promise. I remember that. And it was a whole big thing with the pit bulls. And he had to give away his pit bull. Yeah. I got another one. What if I said John Lester?
'Cause sometimes he can't throw. All right, stop, dude, I think Burley did it. A title, now you're throwing six guys at us. I can only compare black quarterbacks to other black quarterbacks. Not white lefty pitchers? It's weird. Give me a black number three. It's weird what you've done here, is it? It's there in all of her. Ah, cc sabathea. I can only compare white receivers to white, white receivers. Ooh, cc. Keep going, I like that one. You're not bad. All you did, Jeremy, is muddy the waters. Like, we were confused before about whether Jalen Hertz was good or not and all of your comparisons made it more convincing. Hertz can run, he can throw, sabathea could hit, huh? Dontro Willis? Do you train maybe a little bit? Hertz is a good way to describe how we all feel from your comments during this segment. How about James Shields? Number four on my list of unique observations exclusive to the show. How about Kyler Murray's first pass as a bug game? [LAUGHS] You know I sat there with the roba, a nice robe, and a pipe, and I was like, [LAUGHS] and then he promptly got his head knocked off, and I was like, it stinks. The concussion made me feel bad about how much I enjoyed that first intersection. I feel like once he has the concussion, you can't laugh as hard as you would of if he didn't have the concussion. Number three here is a question that seems kind of ruthless for Robert Salah after that Titans Jets game. Can you explain being that lifeless and performing to that level? After everything you talked about, I'll proceed. How do you explain being that lifeless after everything you said during the preseason? That's rough. Wow. Yeah. That's rough. I mean, Forbes, I think that the two games from yesterday that nobody wanted to watch. Nobody was happy. That football was back when they were watching Titans Jets, and nobody was happy that football was back when they were watching dolphins and raiders, like those were the two above all others. And Jacksonville and the Browns wasn't great to watch either. Atlanta Pittsburgh was tough too. What about Aaron Herring? Why are you doing this? Jalen Hertz is Aaron Herring. Bronson Arroyo? OK. He had corals at the time. I just don't know what it is that you're doing. Adam Wayne Wright. Number two on my list of observations that are unique and exclusive to this program. Baker Mayfield, three fumbles yesterday. Baker Mayfield, after signing the big contract, loses against the Bengals. The Bengals defense was really terrible last year's as. And they made Baker Mayfield, who I thought was going to be able to do something to pull out that game, make all of the mistakes in that game that you simply cannot make anymore in that league as a quarterback. It cannot be overcome. SMU can overcome it against FSU. You cannot overcome that game from your quarterback in the NFL. It's not possible to let go of the ball that much and give it to the other team and win the football game on the road. Resident Baker Mayfield apologists here. That line of scrimmage was getting dominated. Do you know how difficult of a Sunday 1 o'clock window that was for me watching Cam Ward and then Al Golden do that to Baker Mayfield? How well the first name last name? Yeah, that's right. Do we have that graphic? I put it in there. First name last name, Al Golden. That was the graphic that came up for him. But Baker Mayfield was getting rock. He had almost as many fumbles losses in completions for the game. Yeah, which is like, he played really good. I'll tell you the three turnovers. I would absolutely crush their chances at winning. That was not a real graph. Yeah, that was-- Isn't he the defensive coordinator? Yeah. But he was getting hit from behind to-- got blown up. That's the part that stands out to you, the defense coordinator part, Chris. That second crumble that he had was so disappointing because it was like a vintage-- Oh my god, this guy's tough as nails. Baker Mayfield doing everything. He's going to be a touchdown. It was crazy. And then he gets blown up. God, I was worried for his health in that game. But I thought he gave them an opportunity. He gave that defense an opportunity to get them the ball back there. I thought it was an encouraging thing. They just need to clean up that line of scrimmage because Algolden was on their ass. Man, do I love another broadcast? Make mistakes. That's the feel of it. So it wasn't just a mistake. The broadcast graphic is first name, last name-- They heard about it. --and offensive coordinator. So it's not-- there's just nothing right on it. I just love the idea of the production studio and that goes up. Tim Hudson? Tim Hudson, maybe? Put it in my veins. I don't understand what Jeremy is doing. Kyle Moche. Because those are not all the same picture, like the difference. It's getting worse, right? But a liable number three. Hudson and Burley are so much-- Kyle Loche. Zach Granky. Zach Granky. Was it all over the place, dude? Did he win a side-junk award? Did Zach Granky win a side-junk award? I started with the best one. It was Burley. It was a bad one. Burley is the obvious comp. There is no more obvious comp in sports than Jalen Hertz is Mark Burley. Jeremy, we already lost the heat. Let's be careful. And I already said, stop doing it. Whoa. But didn't Mark Burley finish top five in a side-junk voting and didn't Zach Granky win a side-junk award? Yeah, Jalen Hertz won a Super Bowl. Been the two Super Bowls won an MVP. Jalen Hertz has never been considered the best quarterback in the sport. He's never received an award. Well, Mark Burley never was considered the best in the one-of-world series. And he finished top five in side-junk that year. But Jalen Hertz, I think, probably was top three in MVP voting that year. I feel like it's the right cup. Zach, I've got a terrible admission to make right now, given the general sloppiness of what it is that we did today because we weren't quite ready for everything that football brought our way today. NFL snuck up on us. I don't have a number one because I mismanaged all of this. Well, technically, you had a number one and a number zero. But because I mismanaged all of this-- I know Golden Dan, that was your number one observation. No, but my number one observation was a baker, but it was the number two observation. And I didn't know at the time that I did not have a number one. I've arrived at the end of the program with such sloppiness that now I cannot give people the payoff of number one. On a list that they had to think was going to be better once we have it, number 23, Deon Sanders speaking in tongues. Like, once still a play on. Not play on. It is. I don't feel-- You're going to be wrong about this one, too? I don't feel like we talked enough about college football today. I also don't feel like we talked enough about that Texas Ohio State game because Texas announcing itself and archmaning, announcing itself with himself with that fourth quarter to change. Texas is number one now. And I couldn't have imagined that three quarters into that football game. Dan, if we spend any time on that, we wouldn't get Chris' center tape. Oh! What a-- What a-- Good take.
