One might wonder why they call her Cha-Cha.
Like, is it a family name or a marketing ploy?
Or maybe she thought it sounded cool.
It's very curious.

Welcome back to another episode of New Heights.
I am not Jason or Travis Kelsey.
This is Brandon.
My friend here is Jake.
Jake, is that you?
Jake is here.
Still here. Still no baby.
Still no baby. Jake is still here.
Still no baby. We are on baby watch.
And in the meantime, we are back with another episode counting down
our favorite 92 moments from New Heights in the past four seasons.
Let's get right into it.
Jake, what do we got? Kick us off.
Kicking off this one.
One of the more memed moments of the show's history.
This is from this past season as well.
Very fresh. Fresh moment.
Fresh break.
The guys were talking about Jennings Dunker.
And I'll let the clip roll from here.
If you were going to design an offensive lineman in a laboratory,
this is what he would look like.
I mean, look at this guy.
This is hilarious.
How many beers a day do you think this guy drinks?
I don't know.
It's probably by the case.
He doesn't even count it by the beer.
This is giving me an idea, though.
They I don't think they should.
You know how they do best in show for like dogs where they like trot them out.
They do it for the horses, too.
Oh, shit.
Are you all right, Tramp?
We're good.
You good?
Fuck.
Taylor's going to kill me.
The best in show got me.
Best in show for the dogs.
Like, I think how.
Best in show for the offensive line.
Yeah.
Check this stuff out.
I'll say this.
This Travis breaking the chair was one of the most debated.
Where do we rank this clips of any like this?
There was contention.
There was a lot of contention around where this goes.
Some people even said this is the number one.
I got a number one request for this one.
I don't agree, but I'm sure people listening to this are probably mad at us.
We did not rank this higher than thirty nine.
I will say it probably gets docked a little bit because we're doing this in an
audio only format traffic, Travis breaking the chairs, much more of a visual moment.
But it was still incredible and needed to be included on the list.
I mean, it might be in my top like things I've laughed at during
this recording. I.
Anybody who thinks this was planned or scripted, get the fuck out of my face.
This was so funny.
We have not gotten an invoice for that chair, so hopefully everything's OK.
I think maybe he put it back together.
He's pretty handy.
Yeah. Apologies to that living room set.
Moving on, the number thirty eight is a moment from our episode after our second
live show in Cincinnati when we had to discuss Jason losing his Super Bowl ring
in a pool, a kiddie pool of chili.
There was an unfortunateness.
As you guys know, this game existed because I continually lose my Super Bowl ring.
And I don't even know if Travis still
knows this, but I legitimately lost my Super Bowl ring in this event.
They could not find it.
This is Jets Jake searching through the chili to try and find the sock that had
my Super Bowl ring in it. We have still yet to find it.
What did you expect to happen?
I thought that we would just go in the pool and get the ring afterwards.
You're such a fucking imbecile.
Greg got a metal detector.
There's actually metal in Skyline Chili.
There's traces of iron within the chili itself.
So it's an impossible task to try and use a metal detector.
That's so good.
There's probably lead as well in there.
So it's just a hunk of metal.
I'll just have another one made, I think.
They can do that, right? I don't know, Jason.
Probably just going to find out.
This is the most shame I've ever felt working on.
Do you know why? Do you know why you feel shame?
Because it's entirely your fault.
Yeah, so it is.
It is almost one hundred percent your
fault. No, I'm telling this part. I'm still I am still mad about it.
Jason wanted to put the ring in there.
I said, don't do that for the record.
I said, no, that's dumb.
And about an hour later, little Jets Jake here come skipping around
the corner of the Cincinnati arena going, just put the thing in the chili.
It's so funny. And I went, you motherfucker.
He went to you.
He went to you to get a yes.
And what did you do? What happened?
So there are two reasons why
this is my fault, number one, and the biggest one is that after it happened,
Jason goes, Jake, get that ring for me and I just did not hear him.
Adrian like pulled up that footage and played it for me.
It was just like, oh, no, this is my fault.
The other thing and this is a bit of shared blame, but like the fact that we were
like, oh, we're going to use two pools and one will have a fake ring and one will
have the real ring when we could have just put them both in the same fucking pool
for the one.
You didn't have to put other rings that you could just have one ring and a sock
in one of the pools, the effect of being covered in chili would have been fine.
We didn't need. Yes.
Not our best gameplay.
Can you hear that? I'm still mad about this.
We had to change our flights to come home
later so we could dig into a goddamn pool of chili for an hour.
Oh, wait. I don't know if we told this on air,
but I threw up a lot because I think we did this.
The smell of the chili that had been sitting in the area.
It's been now for 12 hours was rancid and it's entirely that man's fault.
You're bringing back memories.
This is the next clip.
Next clip. We don't need to read next one.
Next clip coming from us from season one, a great family moment.
This is Mama Kelsey roasting Travis.
How disappointed were you when Travis was announced as a boy?
No, I was not.
I was hoping for a girl, but I got one.
He's a fashionista.
I see where this is going.
You two and a dancer and a dancer.
Thanks, Mom.
You remember you guys were saying that I
named him after the fat kid on Overboard, but I thought you named me.
OK, there was another Travis on a soap opera, a soap opera.
And I just had thought he was the most
gorgeous man in the whole world and I named you after him.
Damn it. So you told dad.
I'm out. I'm going to.
So you told dad that you like the name
Travis off of a fat little kid from Overboard, but secretly you had a man
crush going on and that's who you named him after.
Yeah, that's so terrible.
How could you do that?
Oh, well, this was such a fun episode to do.
Having both parents on prior to the quote unquote Kelsey Bowl was
genuinely like, you know, kind of like a once in a lifetime thing to to have on.
And Donna's the best.
I'm not gonna lie to you. Donna brings the heat every time she's on.
And it did.
Did it feel to you like Jason had been waiting his entire life to ask that question?
Yes.
Do you wish I was his daughter?
Like it felt like Jason
only became a football player to make it to the NFL to host a podcast with his
brother so he one day could ask his mother on air, do you wish it was about her?
Donna and Ed both have such great, like, comedic timing and like Donna.
Donna knows she's being ruthless, but can play it off so innocently of like,
no, it's fine. He's a fashionista.
It's a fashionista.
She's not wrong, though. Not wrong.
Keep it moving to number thirty six from the season one episode with Patrick Mahomes.
This is Pat telling us a story of him cheating on his draft interview with the Chiefs.
The first day that I met Coach Reid was at the facility.
We had like the meetings, like the top 30 visits.
So I was in there for like five hours.
He's just going through plays, going through plays.
And I'm going to give you all the inside scoop.
Matt Nagy, who was the offensive coordinator then.
And he really liked me.
So he gave me the plays they were going to go over the night before.
So Coach Reid's finding out here live on New Heights.
Oh, my gosh, Matt, Peggy, how could you?
Let's go. Yeah.
So, of course, I crushed the meeting.
I stayed up all night studying those plays.
Like, man, this kid is locked in.
We got ourselves a winner here.
As the process went on, I got a feeling that I was kind of going up in the draft.
I had a couple of teams that said they were going to draft me.
And I mean, that's true.
Like, it's not like these
coaches are making that up.
I talked to them during the draft process.
They were like, hey, if you're there, we're going to take you.
I kind of gave a little inside info to the Chiefs.
hey if y'all let me go anywhere below at the time i didn't know about the saints but i was like if
y'all let me go 12 or below i'm gonna get drafted by someone else you drafted yourself so i gave the
chiefs a little bit a little bit a little bit of info on that because i wanted to be here anytime
you've had somebody on especially somebody like pat and they start a story with i don't think i've
ever told anybody this but i get so excited and then he reveals that i cheated on the draft and
i'm like well hold on here pat i think we actually you you might need to go to a different team now
i'm not sure what happens like legally you are no longer a chief sorry we recorded that and then i
spent like an hour and a half googling to make sure he hadn't told that anywhere else no it was
a moment of like oh is packet are the chiefs gonna get in trouble oh yeah did we just did we just
reveal a crime did he's confessed to a crime on this podcast and then the the shithead producer
means like you gotta air it you gotta let people know he cheated otherwise how would how could
they have figured out that pat mahomes is a good quarterback
oh they watch the tape that makes sense i also think that's the the only way you get that story
is if he's sitting right next to one of his favorite teammates in a situation where he's
comfortable like that that was truly a we're a show that's a fly on the wall recording these
conversations that no one else can ever get and it was it was very very cool for pat to do that
pat's a cheater sorry sorry guys sorry texas tech fans out there pat is a cheater confirmed
um moving on to number 35 this is also from the season one
pre-kelsey bowl episode with with ed and donna this is ed reacting to both of his sons playing
in the super bowl pops who are you rooting for yeah now that we're here kelsey for what are you
rooting for okay okay but there's two teams so we'll we'll be here all day if you if well then
we're gonna be here a long time while you try and get that all right we're we're we're in a battle
to the death one of us has to survive
both of you i don't both of us i'm gonna go die both of us to die both of you to win i'm gonna go
the captain the captain kirk route the captain i don't believe in no win situations gosh that's
good that's for star trek james yeah okay no i know way way over my head for sure yeah i know
jason's gonna lie to you and say he knows what he's talking about i know who captain kirk is i
don't remember the specific situation but i'm gonna go to captain kirk and say he knows what he's talking about
this is from like 1967 yeah jason you don't know this is from the tv show this isn't from
all i'm saying is i know yeah i'm not a star i'm not a trekkie you know what a trekkie is trap
uh trekkie um i would say the cult that follows star wars
he's all he's all over in place
let me put my glass of on all right next next question
uh thank you for your question i'm not a star trek fan i'm not a star trek fan i'm not a star trek fan
for getting us to move on we know a lot of the media has been at you uh to get you to talk about
the the kelsey bowl that is to come uh so let's get these out of the way okay go we've already
asked you who the favorite is um and you said me which i love you for that um but uh who are you
talking to first after the game the winner or the loser uh probably the loser you have any reason
for that or
somebody's gonna feel pretty crummy yeah and i want to and i want to be with them
initially yeah trap said that uh you know mom can't lose but actually mom is going to lose
and you're going to lose right there's gonna be a winning and losing no no one of you guys
one of you guys are gonna lose you're not gonna lose with one of us you're only going with the
winner i have already won dude you've won what i'm on the most popular podcast in sports
i've already fucking won okay all the rest of this is just window dressing all right you're
never gonna get the answer you want if we're gonna talk about winning and losing the super bowl what
a dad line the story i want to tell with this though is how much they were amped up to we're
gonna get him we're gonna get the old man on this episode and then the second ed sat down and started
talking about how proud he was of them they both immediately melted that is what i want i want the
world to know they were like we're gonna grill our dad we're gonna grill him and then he was
like i love you both and i'm proud of you and they were like oh shit we don't thanks dad thanks dad
yeah they were gonna get him though they were ready folded but no i mean one of those moments
though that like can't be recreated and unexpected and wild to be on the other end of ed put it
perfectly he's like i already fucking won like yeah well of course it doesn't matter going into
the super bowl you've got your two boys playing against each other in the
super bowl and incorrect put your split jersey on you'll be all right all right moving on to
number 34 uh an iconic moment and an iconic jason line this is jason talking about his game day fits
the eagles social team gave us a look at jason's game day fit yeah shocker jason's game day fit is
the same fit he wears every day what the fuck do i care about a game day fit this guy's game day
ready baby some people go to play football and some people play dress up okay i don't like to
play dress up i like to play football all right i'm not gonna go shopping color coordinating
getting belts and shoes and all this just to go play football i don't get it for a second
what is the point i don't get it okay maybe you can explain it to me because you do it my game day
fit is my regular day fit too so i know exactly what you're talking about travis travis what you
have not worn anything under a hundred dollars to a game your flip-flops were more than a hundred
dollars those they got can openers on the bottom are you kidding me it's two for one special
which fit was he going on about here just want to so this was he had flip-flops on
um the flip-flops right start start of flip-flops i want to say so uh this game day fit i i was
almost confused ocean drive flip-flops and this is what lane johnson later dressed okay as jason
yes so it was like early on in this show that we just kept getting questions about jason and the
flip-flops yes everybody wanted to know the deal with the flip-flops and as he puts it he's walking
four fucking feet to the boss and you know what's funny i wanted to know the flip-flops and then he
explained it i go yeah he's right no he's he's yeah he's really not he's not walking a mile to
the stadium he's getting on a bus he's correct it did lead to some moments where i would argue that
jason is playing dress up but we can get into that later on a different show shots fired i would
argue he played a little dress up in that season but that's just me it might have been a season
later where he literally dressed up as doug he sure did from that is a dress up that is playing
dress up that is playing dress up for football no i think this was sorry which episode was this
again it's early though right i don't remember the episode
season one this was early in the run though which led to like it did lead to more questions
about game day fits which has been fun to discuss with them we have game day fit merch it's just a
game day fit merch we have game day fit merch uh keeping it moving to number 33 this is jalen
hertz our first real real guest first sit down episode guest uh of of new heights history this
is jalen on jason's fast snaps he has a very unique way of snapping the ball he i mean it's a very
nice way of saying every quarterback that i've ever played with hates i want hey is it getting to
you quick fast it's up on you hey you know people always ask me why um why is your stand so low i'm
like i gotta be in the athletic position they want sports to catch the ball when it's coming
you know but oh yeah i mean because i remember uh my rookie year when i came in like i come in i
have a couple plays here and now throughout the game oh yeah and uh
it's like a couple like i literally had maybe a handful it's like i go in there and fumble to
snap because i just wasn't ready like i wasn't in the position you know i'm saying some of them
were bad snaps but uh but yeah i ain't tripping buddy you make all he do his thing on it you know
i'm saying do his thing i ain't tripping i mean really i'd snap it fast and i snap it fast because
i want my hand back that's about it i got stuff to do you gotta use this it's not 1940 where you
can't use those hands you can
you're gonna have to put them on somebody yeah like you know my my advantage of like my skill
set is quickness right so i want to get up on the guy quick i want to be able to get into proper
leverage because i'm not gonna out muscle nobody so just that fast all right i have no complaint
the plus side is you got more time yeah to make a decision if it's in the right spot well i try
like i said i try and put myself like if i have to squat a little lower to catch it
i'm tripping about it he always he always asks me like how was that snap or if something if there's
like an ma in the backfield or something like that he's like kind of like i know he's he's
thinking about if he snapped it good enough i'm like you good baby he knows i'll be looking at
trying to figure out what happened yeah so yeah this was our first
sit down dedicated episode to one specific guest and i'm honestly still like i i was surprised the
time that we got jalen he had the time for it he was the coolest man in the world like
did not expect it was incredibly nervous going into this did not know i just didn't know how
i was gonna go our guys interviewing for the first time how's you know jalen
hertz is officially one of the coolest people i ever met he came in the room dapped everybody
up said hey i'm jay hertz and i said i i know i'm i'm i'm brandon he was just like yeah okay um
jaylen was the best uh also means a lot that he was like our first he he he uh trusted that
we wouldn't fuck it up so yes very happy that jaylen i'm very happy that jason talked jaylen
to doing it i'm very happy we didn't fuck it up and again jayden's always welcome back jake how
was it for you you were there right nope wasn't there missed it oh it sucks damn it's pretty cool
it's pretty cool to hang out jaylen hurts i'm not gonna lie should have been there
should have been there well i there's literally i don't have like a comeback because it's not
like i'm going to stuff without you it's true gotcha the first season i got you a few times
anyways all right moving on to number 32 on our list uh real full circle moment from season three
talking about uh or season two the guys talking about meeting royalty the first time to actually
having a royal on the show this is prince william this is joining new heights our guest today is the
six foot three prince from london england that's right the president of the english football
association the vice royal patron of the welsh rugby union the duke of cambridge the duke of
cornwall the lord of the isles prince of great steward of scarlet earl of chester and the prince
of wales please welcome his royal highness prince william
that is quite an intro guys amazing we had to do a big for you had to do a big so the the behind
the scenes tidbit i want to give for this clip is just uh we got like a company slack message
that was like brandon has been in touch with kensington palace we will be recording an
episode on friday with prince william
and i texted brandon on immediately on the side i go what the fuck
what do you mean you've been in touch with kensington palace
who else do you think he talks to you what do you mean you don't you don't reach out yeah uh
yeah my sometimes i get absurd text messages that say hey do you mind if we share your number
with um kensington palace and i go yes that's fine with me go ahead and then you get a text
that's from a london number and you just roll with it um should i be talking to the royal family no
absolutely not nothing nothing about that is normal or or uh where i expected my life to go
but it's very funny it is also very funny uh when did we this was part of that week where we did
the live show on monday we recorded with tom brady on wednesday wednesday and that was supposed to be
the end of the season but i had to tell it has like hey guys uh heads up if you have time on
friday i think we could get prince william for a little bit of time and they said what the fuck
are you talking about and as i guess jake put it i have been in touch with kensington palace um
so no that is a bizarre absurd uh connection to have made i still don't think it's real and
look forward to many more of those but by all means who share my number with whoever you want
it's it's out there now foreign dignitaries just foreign dignitaries welcome on the lights
to get on the show please we're gonna be a little model you in by the end of our run here um moving
on the number 31 going from prince prince william going to going to english leadership to american
leadership this is travis on our show addressing his time at the white house where he attempted to
address my fellow americans what were you gonna say when you went up to the podium while president
joe biden was distracted i distracted they right did it
so i've been waiting for this sorry i'm sorry it was the oldest trick in the book and joe fell for
it it was what's over there i mean come on obviously the president at the podium it's
iconic right sure it's iconic and how he usually addresses the nation to my fellow americans that's
all i wanted to say dude that's all you wanted to say that's it i just wanted to go up there
i shouldn't have started off with i've always wanted to do this if
you would have started off with my fellow americans that would have been such a showstopper
i don't think they would have kicked you off if somebody gets up to the podium and says
my fellow americans it's like immediately like all right what's this dude about to say pat knew
that i was uh yeah pat was on it i was in over my head man this is probably an all-time moment
in new heights slack history yes this is probably a every like it was you know for
those of you that use slack it is one of those where you just see a name typing you see the
typing that it goes many people are typing and it was everybody going what the fuck did he just
trust about to get shot is trans going to jail um no this is a great moment and i love talking
with him about it and i do feel like we set him up for this by i think we were daring him to find
the treasure map in the white house because we're all you know big fans of he uh we had
asked him his plans the week before and he had said he was going to national
treasure the white house and somehow topped that by just yeah listen you can't leave an open mic
around him you can't do it if you leave a podium and a microphone and he's nearby he will address
it he will have a speech ready uh all-time pat moment too all-time pat moment qb awareness level
pull him away his madden score should have gone way up just on awareness alone of like i gotta
get him out of there he cannot girl moment no one of those you had to be there to go
oh okay i guess we got next week episode figured out i guess we
know what we're talking about yeah all right moving on to number 30 on our list uh a seminal
moment in new heights i believe defining moment of new heights this is from the second or third
episode ever i think it's the third one yeah and this is jason and travis talking about the ideal
play to fourth and goal at the one the qb sneak rant game on the line fourth and one on the goal
what play are you running i'm running
there's only one right answer some type of rollout there's only one correct answer and that's because
it is the highest percentage chance of getting one yard and that's quarterback sneak quarterback
sneaking it it blows my mind how many teams do not run a quarterback sneak with one goddamn yard
what the are you doing it's a 92 chance there's not a play in the playbook that has a higher
percentage chance of working than quarterback sneak listen we had
to get away from it because our quarterback's kneecap was in the side of his side of his leg
okay i was looking at it like what the somebody come get pat i mean this is why our fans are the
92 presenters this this this set off a this is like the you know that meme of like the little
domino leading to the big one this yes is the first domino that ends up with that play getting
banned right this is this is the moment that started with like probably that play getting
banned somewhere down the future it was though for those of you that were listening to this
at the time like this was a week where i believe there was two or three games that featured fourth
and one from the goal fourth and goal from the one and teams fucked it up and it was just an
offhanded thing i was like hey guys do you see like three teams fucked up fourth and fourth and
goal from the one and jason goes did i and i'm like oh we got it here go ahead and then you know
from from this was born the just
qb sneak it what are we doing and he made up this stat on the fly that 92 percent of stat
is made up on the fly we fact checked it later as we do with everything we fact checked it weeks
later and he's fucking correct and the season went on it proved to be more correct i was gonna say it
was the end end of the season they finished exactly with 92 percent which is fucking crazy
but if jason does this rant and he goes it works 93 percent of the time our fans are the 93 percenters
which does not does not roll off the tongue the way 92 percenters does so um incredible incredible
no this man 30 maybe it's too low for this one actually if it comes merch i feel like we got to
move it anyways i think the rest of the list you could argue is seated too low listen we're in
bangers territory only these are these are you will know all these by heart if you've been listening
to the show um moving on to number 29 from the live show in los angeles this is travis
uh expanding his palate with some airplane noises last time i was in la uh jason uh and i went down
the street and uh i was a very picky eater and there was a bit that uh came out on new heights
not too long ago about how i liked airplane noises when i ate yeah it's kind of fucked up actually
like i was a child a
child getting fed food so we have a fun clip for you here i feel like and we won't use this in the
episode but i feel like taylor has definitely expanded i gotta use it we can fucking use it
there's nothing wrong with that i feel like you grown up he's more adventurous with food
yeah it's not trying to act like one of the men when i'm around her and eat foods i haven't tried
before yes she does the little airplane noises i like it well what if it's an airplane and it's
Again, absurd, absurd text that we received.
um i've never been bullied by two more famous people and you know what happy for it i'm glad
we're sure the brand the brandon moment is top 30 i'm not i'm not involved in this i just
he says that one's for you brandon he did say that didn't he that's funny yeah
well flipped off the camera i was actually i don't give you your flowers it's a surprising
video to receive someday it's very funny it's very funny this doesn't happen without your
joke when we were recording with kylie so nailed that joke nailed that joke does actually you know
what doesn't it doesn't happen without kylie yes yes i'm more i'm more emboldened to talk
shit when kylie's there because i feel like i got cover i feel like she'll cover for me i feel like
i like she'll help and and once and for all travis proved he's not a picky eater so he's not a picky
eater so that so the joke is dead i mean people i actually i'll tell this story i got a lot of
shit for that people were like how dare you speak to him that way and i was like my friend like
you know i know him right like we talk shit to each other constantly
they're like who do you think somebody was like who do you think you are to speak to him and i was
like i don't know producer of the podcast i don't fucking know like it's kind of who i think i i
don't know who am i and i was very extensional existential like 15 minute crisis for me very
much like yeah who am i to speak to travis that way fuck um no but i do feel more emboldened to
talk to talk spicy when when kylie's there kylie will help kylie's my dog she'll help me out moving
on to number 20.
round number 28 uh one of my favorite football stories that's ever been told on this podcast
uh matthew stafford talking about uh aaron donald i'll just leave it there matthew stafford talking
about aaron i'll never forget and he's crazy in the weight room oh like the rock came in and
worked out with him one time and there's a knife fighting yeah i mean he's like he's a maniac in
like a year before had been like hey i want to my dream is to go like be with aaron donald for a day
kind of thing and thankfully this kid at that point had kind of beaten the odds and had beaten
the cancer that he had i believe and like was really on the mend and it was really cool like
he came in and you're like oh man this guy's like doing good right high school kid like bigger kid
uh like love to play football and he was like cool come work out with me right and i'm like
i'm walking by i'm like yo what is about to go down yeah right and i look over and like i'm over
there doing like banded something like 30 minutes in and ad's just ripping curls out and this and
this next thing you know this kid is puking in the trash can can you please like have a little
understanding like you got what he wanted you want to be ad you want to do it it was on chemo
for months ad i'm like god damn it just
relax on the bicep curls for a little bit it's like how many do we do till we throw up you know
unbelievable i was like this guy has no i mean the motor just never stops it was incredible
stafford is hall of fame level guest and player um we went into this one like there's a he tells
a story in a different podcast about a guy he played high school football with jake felt if
you have not seen that clip go watch it's very funny he's a great storyteller
we went into this being like man we gotta we we want a moment we want to get a story like we want
to get a story from stafford and when he said have you heard the story of aaron donald to make a wish
kid everybody in the room leaned forward that was where we went no we have not sir go ahead and god
damn does it deliver aaron donald god bless you when he said have some couth i lost it he's the
first and last guy to use the phrase couth on the show
we should we should is that a should we just make a shirt merch have some couth all right we'll think
about that wait hold on wait sorry one last story about uh this uh because social media brings the
world all together the fucking kid who worked out with aaron donald saw the story and like
it became a whole thing the nfl like got videos of him and like legally might need to check on this
kid no and he he's doing great he was playing he like played football i want to say uh i i'm not
even gonna name where he went because i don't remember but he was playing football in college
and uh it all came full circle in a very happy way glad to hear the kids doing well because it
was great as they were telling this story the kid is not at all like how i pictured him when they
were telling this no i got really concerned and had to look it up i was like oh okay we were fine
leave that in i think it's a good story i think it's a good story i think it's a good story i think
thought aaron donald was making like 110 pound kid pass out i had the same image i had the same
image of like oh no like uh-oh no this is fine it was fine it's a good story it's a good story we
had couth um moving on to number 27 this is from season one this is i believe an episode we did
in person with the guys by we i live also you weren't there that's right you weren't there
that's crazy you should have been there this is the guys on signing
baby
what is the weirdest thing you guys have autographed i don't really have anything
that weird i've been asked to sign a baby that's pretty weird kids come up to you hey can you sign
my arm like yeah i gotta get parental consent but the parent was the one that actually asked
me to sign their babies where'd you sign the baby i didn't sign them i did not put a sharpie on a
baby so you refused the baby if that baby would have went to the hospital i would have felt what
would have gone to the hospital i don't know lick its hand lick its arm isn't sharpie bad for skin
you're a dad you should know these kind of things my babies have ingested lots of things
way worse than sure the first baby you drop the pacifier on the ground and you got to take it up
put it in boiling water make sure it's completely sanitary before you put it back in the kid's mouth
you know what happens now with elliot that thing could be under the couch living its life if she's
crying i'm picking it up giving it the wipe off and it's going right in the mouth all right i'll
sign a baby give me a baby i'll sign it this entire time i'm thinking i'm doing the right
thing now we're not signing that baby yeah you are yeah i mean people literally bought
dolls to the link because this episode which is incredible it's actually insane the amount of
children fake children that we are asked to sign now like you go anywhere there is a baby or a fake
baby ready with a with a sharpie next to them we really didn't look into how bad sharpies are for
babies so i'll let you know maybe we should i'm assuming it's fine jake i was gonna say they got
they gotta sign my kid if you don't sign your kid what are you doing forehead oh am i signing the
kid i thought when we all signed when we signed the kid i thought jason travis yeah yeah when we
we all sign your baby what are we doing forehead arm stomach forehead forehead for sure i think
it's up to the signer well you get the baby we'll get the baby we'll figure it out no uh tempo clip
in the new height you know new heights universe all right so this next clip number 26 might be
our most viewed clip on youtube of all time which is crazy given all the that's gone out uh but
this is i don't think her first appearance on the show but uh definitely one of the more
memorable ones this is from season two when jason's kids crash the party to say hi to uncle
travis why it asks if she could say hi what come on yes look at you what's up girly how you doing
how was gymnastics what are you wearing tell me what you're wearing a leotard oh very nicely said
how about those pink shoes from the game that was fun huh yeah can ellie say hi why
yeah love you girl bye she's so adorable ellie hi hi how you doing you're smiling big you're making
my day all right girly you're gonna go take a shower yeah nighty oh you want to show uncle
travis your glasses she's styling movie star oh i love it i'll be up in a second we only got two
ad reads left all right let's make these ad reads last as long as possible i got hit with a shoe
just adorable
no i mean we it i i you know we we always talk about like the authenticity of the show and hey
that's what it looks like when you're trying to podcast with with four children that is what it
looks like sometimes they run through the background and you go out and i'll bring
them in what they got they got some takes but who's the most over to qb's this season ask them
i do think i mean like the guys have talked about historically how like prior to the show
is tough for them to like you know find time to talk to each other like during the season and now
they have
designated time every single week and like every single week there's truly moments in the show
where it's just like we stop doing the show and they just get to like have a conversation with
their brother and we and it's also like oh yeah a bunch of other people are listening to it hi
there's eight of us do you mind if we use this on social media all right let's keep it moving oh man
number 25 it needs no introduction from the season's three finale this is pretty man we
watched the 1990s classic pretty
woman yes sir what score do you think it gets on the feminism chart this is what there so there
were a lot of people saying this movie is very misogynistic i'll be honest i am not good at this
topic i don't know i think the only way to gauge it is to flip the script i think we need to make
pretty man pretty man and we need to have a ceo billionaire woman be so be so high class that she
doesn't know where she's going
she doesn't know how to drive a car you're you're living pretty man right now
you are pretty man you're living your own julia roberts straight down
i'm wearing nothing but a tie when taylor comes home
oh my gosh
you can't beat it man that's why me and julia roberts when i met julia
we were that's it felt like we were we were the same person it's so cool she spoke to me in this
movie holy shit all right now it's all i'm just the nfl stripper that's it i'm just an nfl hooker
man i mean i'm the one who's stripping over at the ocean drive i guess when the light bulb
the moment it clicks it clicks because i was like a half a tick behind him trying to type it in the
dock but i he he beat me to it he got there quicker of could you describe travis yeah oh
we're describing travis i mean this is an incredible moment incredible moment i'm glad
that they both got there um no and he's officially pretty man now so officially
officially legally legally all right coming in at number 24 uh we had i think like the original
version of this
list we had like 15 different clips from this episode because it is legitimately one of my
favorites uh but we narrowed it down to just this one to make the final list uh because it was
iconic and it was a great in-person episode this is julian edelman talking about randy moss what's
randy telling you just be bigger and faster than everybody and jump up and catch him like i just
remember randy how hey jules hey jules he used to call me edel nut hey edel nut get my hot tub about
103 and get my gatorade that's where we used to have the metal tubs yes you know you have metal
tubs and hot tub yes he never wanted to go on the regular hot tub he had to have his own shit with
the look he had to have this uh it was like menthol rubbing alcohol in there and he'd go
edel nut go get my towel my gatorade make that hot tub about 103 102 don't fuck it up it's one time
yes sir it's one time randy
it was like the day before christmas and we had to work we had a game on christmas or something
and randy was talking to his mom and i just walked by i was like hey randy tell mama moss i said
you know merry christmas he goes edel nut when i'm talking to my motherfucking mom you shut the
fuck up i literally went like this i looked at and i fucking just i walked away i contact i was so
i'm talking my mom julian should do voiceover work like his impersonations of guys are just
incredible yeah he did he did valachek on this one too it was really good yeah and and he i think
he did tom at one point and maybe gronk um these are my favorite kind of stories these these are
like when we were thinking of what to ask edelman we were you know you kind of like do the game of
like connecting him to other big name players and like i think the light bulb went off like oh shit
he played with randy and i was like oh shit he played with randy and i was like oh shit he played
with randy mom what the fuck was that like like and sometimes the easiest the best question is
the easiest one of like what the fuck is randy moss like and he delivers and you go oh it's
exactly how i hoped he would be and it shut the fuck up edel nut has become a thing i like
say out loud well and uh uh like you you still see like julian edelman will post a video
and like in his comments there'll be people being like edel nut edel nut and it's like that's
i don't know yeah i don't know if we cursed you with that or not but like incredible i mean that's
it was randy it was randy yeah randy god randy's the best all right coming in at number 23 uh this
is from season three we have been waiting a while to get this ohio kid on the show just and he
delivered just a kid from akron lebron james lebron james have you seen this tweet from 2015
lebron is 30 this won't go on for much longer thank god yes i saw that
tweet throughout all of my 30s that's too funny and i laughed at it so hard every single time put
it up in the locker you just put it right there like you want to know what's funny when i turn 40
the same guy said lebron turned 40
he's gonna be really upset when i turn 50 no doubt i mean he was insane to
talk to lebron i we knew of this tweet like there's a million lebron memes right we had all
of them on a page at one point we genuinely were like what if he fucking hates this tweet yes
very scared what if we're like hey have you heard of this tweet where they think you should not play
basketball anymore and he's like man fuck you for bringing that up we're like oh sorry we were a
little concerned he would not think it was funny but it turns out he's got a great sense of humor
and he's very funny and uh
it was i love the response we got from like nba twitter of like yes holy shit they asked him about
the tweet i was like yeah i'm with you guys i always wanted to know what he thought of it
he also knew the following yeah the fucker can't go on after 40 or whatever yeah i mean
yeah shout out oh lebron lebron knew it and the crazy i mean the crazy thing is is that
it keeps becoming more and more relevant because he just keeps playing at a high level every year
keep updating that tweet this fucker can't continue much longer is a great a great phrase
wonderful phrase and i'm so happy that he found it as funny as we did coming in at number 22 all
time moment oh man this maybe should be higher also also from the season three finale season
three finale was a wild record um i don't know what we were all on that day but we should probably
get that back in our systems but that was a wild record it's honestly we're on we're all high from
talking to baker mayfield we were all juiced up having to talk to shake and bake and we all went
nuts anyways this is bambi move your tits there we go
there was a report i'm not saying it's true or not i have no idea of whether it's true jason it's on
espn there was a report out there that they were spending they were using the company card of the
nflpa on strip club visits and holding business meetings there and um apparently you can't do
that it's against company policy how do you feel about that jason do you think you should be able
to all right here's the official thing all right this is from uh espn uh a solid establishment no
few people there former nflpa leader lloyd howell jr resigned after an outside investigator hired
by the union so somebody with inside the union ratted him out man that's fucked up all right
received documents this week showing he charged the union for two visits to strip clubs
including a 738.82 car service that took him from the airport to one of the clubs
that's an expensive car service right how much is a car service
um
he got he was the guy limousine the car's first stop was at a nearby miami gardens address the
receipt shows only one other stop nearly eight hours later so why are you putting this on the
company card what are we doing the employees googled the miami gardens address and discovered
it was tootsie's cabaret which i've not been but i have heard
great things of that establishment it's a 76 000 square foot venue that builds itself
as the world's largest strip club in quotes full nude number one rated i mean it sounds
like a good establishment i mean to be fair i i've i've heard the i've heard the wings are
good there like everyone loves the wings there during this year's nflp summit on february 21st
howell accompanied two union employees to the magic city strip club for an outing that included
two thousand four hundred and twenty six dollars in charge of the nflpa club
including cash withdrawals ranging from two hundred to five hundred and twenty five dollars
from a club atm sources and documents show they used two vip rooms well i mean the vip rooms is
where you get me because listen this is the only thing i don't know was it being used for business
expense or not if it was being used and business was happening i don't see what the issue is
i mean they're conducting business right what was the business i don't know nflpa business i don't
know what the business it says it right here the strip club outing was used the expense of
the purpose of the strip club outing player engagement event to support and grow our union
i'm going to be honest there's not a lot of engagement that happens with the players union
it's hard to get guys to go to meetings and get involved having a meeting at tootsies might
it's not a bad idea to improve engagement yeah you're probably gonna get more players
well that's where you lose you can get their attention well you can't have too much business
if you're in a one-on-one vip room it's a bold idea
to create more engagement by mr howell and it backfired um
you gotta use the reference what you said earlier
yeah is it applebee's or the strip club if they're it doesn't matter what you want
i mean you go to applebee's it's a business expense you go to a strip club and you get wings it's
i don't see why it's much different i mean it's we're all 21 here right
but i don't have a vip room at the applebee's where you sit there for all by yourself
this can't bode well for upcoming contract negotiations with the league.
It's funny that this is what the,
this is what the players pay for.
This is like this.
He's using the NFL PA's money for these expenses.
And it's just,
it's hilarious that,
you know,
the Madden checks go there.
Yeah.
We pay our dues to the union and this is what it's being used for wings.
It's being used for wings in a VIP room.
I'm just saying it also player engagement.
You saw it right there on the report.
There was company morale is a big thing.
And improving the PA needs to improve their morale.
There's not a lot of excitement when you talk about collective bargaining
agreements.
So you,
you,
you,
I don't know.
I mean,
you have some wings.
They might not have even known Tootsie's was a strip club.
Maybe they thought they were going to a restaurant.
I don't know what they,
who knows what they knew.
I mean,
they probably knew when they walked in.
They do before they walked in.
Yeah.
It's not good.
It's not good.
If they actually were,
if they actually got bogus,
I mean,
what if they had like laptops out and like,
we're like crunching numbers.
They were crunching numbers and in between the numbers that were going over.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Excuse me.
Could you put this up on the display?
Bambi,
if you could please move to the side.
I just want to show that guaranteed contracts is a potential for the future
of the NFL.
Bambi lower,
lower,
lower,
Bambi,
lower,
lower.
All right.
You can see right here from my graph that if we just hold out for two to
three weeks,
that's X amount of money that the NFL is going to incur an expense.
Bambi,
move your,
that's I'm trying to show my graph.
If I got too far,
I got too far with this.
Oh gosh.
I'm trying to show my graph.
Somebody please give Bambi $200 so I can get her off the stage and show my
graph.
We don't know what's going on in that building.
It's so ridiculous.
It's pretty absurd.
It's not good.
The thing about this moment,
the behind the scenes story here,
we hopped on the recording,
we got the record.
I believe Jason said,
Hey,
there's not a lot of football in the show.
And we said,
well,
it's fucking June.
And then somebody chimed in with,
well,
did you see that story about the NFL PA and the strippers?
And he goes,
Oh boy,
did I?
Well,
actually I think it's about about time he got to the phrase.
Good idea.
I'd hit the record button.
It was like,
okay,
this is a whole lot.
Jason,
repeat everything you just said to me,
please.
Um,
God damn it.
Baby.
Just think about he,
he could not have picked a,
a better name for the hypothetical stripper at.
I got to see my chart.
Bam me.
Move your.
Incredible.
Yeah.
In incredible.
Shout out Lloyd Howell.
Shout out,
uh,
Pablo Torre for the excellent reporting.
Actually,
that wasn't Pablo Torre,
wasn't it?
Yeah.
That led us to that.
Yeah.
Uh,
very cool.
And then our,
so I'm a big fan of Pablo's podcast.
Our clip then made it into a future episode of Pablo.
And I was like,
that's we're big J journalists now.
That's very cool.
We broke news.
We broke news that NFL players would actually prefer NFL PA meetings to be
as your clubs.
All right.
Coming in at 21,
uh,
maybe one of the best stories ever told in the show,
man,
we,
we knew we wanted to get this teammate on for a long time.
We got them on in season two and I mean,
I'll,
I'll let them tee it up.
But the way Travis tees up this clip is just so perfect.
This is Chris Jones talking about the combine.
Where are we at here?
If we're sticking to it,
it's the,
uh,
combine combine,
man.
I'll tell you what you had one of the most electric combine moments I think,
uh,
has ever,
has ever,
uh,
gone on national television,
man.
Let's just talk about it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Let's talk about it.
I'll be honest with you,
bro.
I was,
I was so big,
I'll be different from everyone.
Everybody was wearing the fucking long tights.
Uh,
fucking long tights. I was like,
you know what? I ain't going out there and copying
everybody. I'm going to wear the short tights.
I didn't realize they was boxers,
bro. I honest to
God.
And you know, they put you in the trains
when you stand in the comeback. It's like these
the rooms are like little train cabins
that I could barely see. So I'm just
grabbing them. I'm like, I'm going to put these on. I'm going to run
in these. Fucking get out there. Everybody
is looking crazy. I'm like, let's
do it. Oh my gosh. Well,
it made you faster, man. It made you so
fast. You tripped over your feet.
Oh my God.
I tripped over that third leg.
Again, this was another
moment, like the LeBron thing.
I was like, we have to ask
him, but I don't know. I don't know
the appropriate way to ask
him.
When your junk fell out of the combine, what was that like?
But like in my head, I'm like, that's kind of how I want to ask him.
But I don't, I don't, I don't
know if that's professional. Chris Jones, incredible
storyteller, incredible storyteller,
incredible storyteller, incredible voice
like Chris Jones voice telling
this story, telling that story is
we need Chris Jones, like narrate children's
books. Yeah. Chris Jones,
all timer. I'm so glad that
this was a moment he was willing to talk about and that
it was as funny to everybody as it was to
those of us that do remember when it happened.
Um, yeah, let's keep
moving to, oh God, number
number 20, man.
This is a guest that
may, maybe on my Mount Rushmore people
I've ever been in the room with. This is Bill
Murray talking about
Roadhouse. We recently reviewed Roadhouse,
the original Patrick Swayze
film. Yes. There is
a legend out there that
you used to call
the husband of Kelly Lynch
who plays Dr. Clay.
Anytime
a particular scene came on with Patrick Swayze
on the television,
is this rumor true?
One of the hardest things I've ever
had to do
was to call a friend
at a late hour. I mean, very, very
late hour.
And not without some talk, some
back and forth, should I, shouldn't I,
should I, shouldn't I?
And as a friend,
You got to do it.
I did not, I did not
identify myself, but I just said,
Hey,
as a friend,
I think you should probably turn on
TBS right now.
Oh, my God.
Because
that son of a bitch, Pat Swayze
is
slamming it to your wife.
Oh, my gosh.
Swayze, Swayze,
may he rest in peace.
There are a lot of wonderful things.
A beloved guy, but that was wrong what he did.
Dude, Swayze, you're the legend.
God, that's so good.
That was wrong.
Thank you for this gold, man.
This is wrong.
It's wrong.
Are we done now?
I've told you this, but I've always heard it.
Bill Murray genuinely is a person that I was terrified
to be in the room room because I just am like,
that's Bill Murray.
If this guy doesn't like me,
it will break me as a person.
If he does not think I'm cool or important,
I will shatter and have to go do something
else with my life.
He did suggest I get fired, though.
He did.
I also,
I mean, we were out at
a hoopie for this, which was very cool.
Shout out to Hoopy Gotham.
Didn't get to play.
Got to look, but not touch.
He walked in the room and it was immediately
like there was a presence in the room.
I introduced myself to Bill
and then I get, you know, we've mentioned
Greg throughout these episodes. Shout out to Greg.
Greg being the man
that he is, was trying to make sure
that Bill met all the people and was like,
oh, Bill, this is Jake. He works on the show.
And I just introduced myself to him like
five minutes earlier and he goes, oh, Jake,
we go way back. I was like, fuck,
yeah, that's so awesome.
And he's
getting to
like work and I'm putting
work in quotes here. Getting to work with Bill Murray is like
one of those, like, it's
a thing I'll remember forever because
it's
you know that's fucking that's stripes that's ghostbusters that's saturday night live that's
like that's i bill like me he was cool bill was cool an icon very cool absolute icon and and we
we had heard the roadhouse story before and knew that it was something he's talked about
but i mean but him telling it him telling it crushed it crushed it crushed it perfect uh
all right moving on we're inside the top 20 now speaking of icons uh going at number 19 uh this is
leonardo dicaprio and benicio del toro talking about their stage names i grew up watching michael
vick and it was just like a holy shit moment for me that i'm actually playing football with this
guy when you guys first got going like were there any holy shit i'm on set with x or i'm doing a
movie here or i'm a part of something like what were your guys kind of holy shit moments for
acting
like holy shit in a positive way or like a holy shit
i remember auditioning when i was very young i was like a child actor my my stepbrother was an
actor and there were these acting agents that that would line you up like cattle and they just go and
i was a break dancer i'd break dance for like money on the streets sometimes so i'd like the
step haircut oh let's go
and it was like yes yes no and they look at me no and then yes yes yes and they all got agents
and i remember saying my dad this is horrible this is i went back and they did it again yes yes
no no and i just remember my dad thinks you know someday you're gonna have your time son just keep
at it keep at it and then you know i got to do oh and then another thing that was funny i first got
my uh these aren't holy shit i'm just thinking about my whole no this is great this is holy
shit to me this is holy shit for those ages those ages right now i'm like what the fuck
and then they gave me my remember your first photos that you oh yeah headshots yeah and they
said your name is too i finally got an agent they said your name is too ethnic i go what do you mean
it's leonardo de cabra they're gonna too ethnic they're never gonna hire your new name is lenny
williams i said what is what is lenny i was 12 30 i said what is lenny williams we took your
middle name and we made it your now you're lenny and my dad saw this photo ripped it up and he said
over my dead body
benny dell benny dell mr dell yeah oh my gosh lenny williams benny dell let's go this podcast
would not be the same with lenny williams and benny dell that wwe intro would not sound the
same imagine being the idiot who told leonardo de cabrio he needed to change his name to be
successful in hollywood lenny williams is such a
weird like sounds like a 1970s like pitcher lenny williams doesn't have an oscar i'll say that
leo should have a few more in my opinion both you know oh man i don't even know like where to
talk about the behind the scenes of this because like they you know you don't know what to expect
when you are talking to two people that you sort of know you know like leonardo cabra's been famous
since i was like 10 years old like it's it's
very bizarre to then be like hey are your headphones working like it is i don't i'm like
fifth grade me would not believe that me and titanic are hanging out right now like it would
it's you know it sounds like a lie and i think we can add benicio del toro to like the list of
coolest people we've ever talked to for sure chill the chillest man alive benicio del toro
um we keep moving to number 18 man season one finale a lot of the season one finale happened
big episode for us as people
um this is jason telling the greatest training camp joke he's ever heard you guys do anything
rookie wise we've never been big hazing biggest thing that we do that we started doing with doug
was like a rookie singing portion it's turned into just singing though it used to be a talent
show you could do whatever you want and that's what it was when doug was first there we had a
fullback who did the best joke i had ever heard when doug peterson was the coach he gets up there
in the middle of a team meeting and he's like all right there's these three guys and they're
sitting around a table the first guy comes up thinking to himself he's you know what i'm pretty
pretty fast i think i'm so fast i think i'm the fastest man in the world so he goes out they time
him in the 40 yard dash and he sends his time in to the guinness book of world records second guy
says you know what i'm tall i'm so tall i think i'm the tallest man in the world so they get the
measuring tape up they measure them they take a picture and they send it off to the guinness book
of world record the third guy says you know what i got a small it's so small i think it might be
the smallest in the world they take out a ruler measure it take a picture send it off to the
guinness book of world records they're sitting around a few weeks later and the results come
back the first guy opens the letter he's excited i did it i'm the fastest man in the world second
guy rips open the letter i did it i'm the tallest man in the world third guy getting excited opens
his letter and he says who the is doug peterson
i vividly remember uh people were slacking during this moment like where's jason going with this
and i knew where the punchline was like general punchline i knew where it was going and i was like
just let him go he's cooking right now yes i i'd heard this i'd heard versions of this joke before
and there was some nervous energy around like wait what is he gonna say here and can we air it and i
was like no no this is like a this is like an old school joke we're gonna be okay i've heard this
and then i will give jason absolute credit the delivery of this is perfect that was the perfect
cadence rhythm delivery of that punchline uh maybe one of our fans are gonna be like oh my god i'm
popular clips maybe up there for sure incredible and i will say i think the part that gets lost
for a lot of people is when jason tags it with and i think we caught him anyways
travis goes is that guy okay you make the team just oh no i think we caught him
a lot of people forget that that's like the tag of that of that story it's that guy
he did make the team i don't know i i i legitimately don't know if we include that
in the social clip but a lot of people pointed out that jason started with
we used to have a fullback and it's like yeah
oh man all right moving on to number 17 uh this is kind of the culmination of iconic moments on
this show but we had already heard one side of this story but uh we needed to get the other side
on our show so coming in at number 17 this is taylor talking about her first impression of
meeting jason i'll always remember meeting you for the first time jason
uh
what was that first impression like did you know i was told to be on by misbehavior
i didn't know what you were told but i did know that one of the first things i saw was like
you say to kylie i was just shotgunning beers with the bills mafia and i really want to go
through one of the the fire tables yep i want to jump through it i want to jump
onto the flaming table and she goes okay can we not do that right now
and since then i've heard her say that exact thing to your four-year-old
about like mommy i want to throw this pudding on the wall wouldn't that be fun can we not do it
right now that's a common phrase and then i swear to god jason you flew through the window at light
speed i've never seen someone so big move so fast and all of a sudden like you're out there in the
snow you're handing me children through the window i was trying to that was probably not my best
moment it was i think it actually was she's like taylor i was like you want to see taylor i got you
let's go who's kid is that jason don't know do you know where this kid came from i think it was
your best moment and i think i'm very lucky to have gotten to see it this whole series of events
that led to us getting to ask these questions is bizarre um
we will we will talk about this moment more in a later clip but man whose child is that
uh sorry this is just turning us into laughing about stuff we've already laughed at but you
enjoy the ride you guys can enjoy the ride um number 16 we are almost at the end of this
little countdown here number 16 from our season one live show in kansas city
jason paying off the super bowl bet travis and
i made a little bet just a little one just a little one during the playoffs we got a clip
this video you're about to see has ever been seen it was made before our recording before the
national the nfc championship game in the afc championship game let's play right now hey this
is a special video that we're doing this is before the conference championship week travis and i are
gonna make a bet we talked about it last week we talked about doing the uh big yeti into the chest
and a great mention on twitter that you guys should obviously make the bet whoever makes it
further in the playoffs the bet is whoever makes it longer in the playoffs the other person has to
shave his chest which obviously if we each win this next game i want to switch this bet because
i don't think it's as fun if you get big yeti it is shaved in your chest i think it's better hear
me out on this if you end up winning the bet i'll shave big big yeti in my chest but if i end up
winning and i go further
oh baby
you have to shave both your beard and your hair and let me sign your fucking forehead like a baby
like a baby
you have to turn it to a baby and i assign your forehead i will shave my hair but i'm not shaving
my beard dude beard and hair what do you mean i don't want to shave my beard because i don't
like the way my face looks and i'm going to keep my beard
is face signing not enough having sharpie on my face with your signature on it is not enough
no it's not enough it will make you better if i sit here shirtless with your signature across my
chest and a diaper on all right you throw the diaper on it's even fair game but i'm a bearded
baby i was so confident baby i signed the bearded baby the bed is in shake on it shake on it
ladies and gentlemen let me introduce you the first ever bearded baby
diaper diaper
diaper diaper come on ladies and gentlemen let's hear it
i'm about to get punched in the face right now
this is the first time i've ever signed a baby ever in my life
screw all of this
okay so this was incredible for several reasons go ahead one is that uh there was no like no one
needed to do this like we've recorded this but we had we had never published that there was a bet
no one was like calling on jason to do it he's like i gotta do it um and then i just vividly
remember uh being backstage at the live show and walking into a room and seeing bald jason in a
diaper before he had put on any of travis's clothes and i was like when he reveals this
people are going to lose their minds we hadn't done any huge like i guess we never done a live
show before we'd never really done like a big stunty thing yet on the show and when he's like
oh no like i said it i have to do it i'm gonna shave my head put on a diaper again to jake's point
i was like you don't have to we really don't like you don't have to do that and he goes oh no oh no i
have to and then it's listen he's full send all the time he commits to the bit and the crowd
screaming as he does it is incredible the fact that it's just i mean it's wild we did season one
we had jason kelsey in a diaper with a shaved head it's like all right what do you guys want
to do next year and i'm like i don't fucking know like i cannot imagine what is next after that
um crazy anyways i will say it was also very funny seeing all the guests who maybe didn't know
like comment on jason's outfit because he had borrowed all of travis's clothes we all knew
those are travis's clothes when he walked out we knew what those yes but he's not on a match
he was rocking like the bucket hat and people were like nice bucket and i was like oh my god
bucket hat threw me when i first saw and i was like oh no no i get what he's doing i understand
only you knew um all right coming in at number 15 again this was like a seminal moment from the show
this is from season one uh and this is travis talking about the derwin james hit derwin james
man oh he's an absolute beast on the defensive side i got a lot of respect for him both in the
past coverage and just absolutely throwing his weight around man a lot of safeties are out here
but he's uh he's one of the bigger guys that can actually lay the lay the wood man
how did it feel when derwin james absolutely i mean power bombed the
on national television well it's not my first time getting power bombed but yeah no i turned i
made a cut back and then all of a sudden he is on me like lightning i mean he he surprised the
out of me lower man always wins in football when i felt him wrap his arms around my legs
i'm chuckling in my mind i'm like this is not about to end well for me right now
i'm going up what goes up must come down so the thing about this clip is that the episode before
this aired travis like heaped a bunch of praise on derwin james and we had put that clip out you
know the show was just getting started i think this was episode two or three when uh travis said
nice things about derwin and then the hit happened
and i saw the numbers on that clip go from like a couple hundred thousand views to like
millions of views because everyone was like he said this nice thing and now he just got
like absolutely buried into the earth and then hearing travis talk about
jesus jay he's gonna hear this
cut no i think it's funny leave it he got absolutely fucking destroyed out there
he got killed what a fucking
no this was this was a moment where you know we're still trying to be self-conscious about
this no i think we leave it in i believe we even us talking about it's funny um this was a moment
where we were still trying to figure out our kind of find our footing with the show and find our
audience and who was who was watching and like it just absolutely could not have been a more
horseshoe in the ass moment that like yeah we set up this thing that almost feels fake when you when
you call it back and then i remember after we put out the episode where we talk about i remember
it was the first time i remember a lot of our clips were being taken and put on like the news
yeah and i remember people texting me for their time being like hey is this it is this that thing
you're working on are you did you do this i'm like yeah well i'm not i'm not derwin or travis
but yes i did do this yeah i don't know i don't know if this clip in particular is in everyone's
top 15 favorite clips of all time probably not but it's a huge like it is a cornerstone of
like what brought the show to the mat like more people i was gonna say i would say it's probably
not a top 15 clip but i would venture that a significant portion of our audience found our
show initially because of this i think a lot of people said wait the kelsey brothers doing a
podcast the kelsey brothers doing a podcast where and then i think a lot of people found the show
because so i mean in essence thank you german james yeah shout out german james we got him on
the show i want him to tackle you now that's deserved but
um rounding it out here number 14 season 4 from the episode that featured the review
the life of a showgirl our reactions to life of a showgirl this is jason
and his japanese maple wood great great soundtrack
how do you feel about wood let's ask this how do you feel about wood it's a great song it's
a great song do you feel like that do you feel trying to think of the word do you feel not
confident do you feel cocky do you feel cocky about the song wood no like the whole any song
that you know she references me it's not just any song it's very like this is a very specific you
i love that girl so what do you mean any song that she would reference me in any well it's not
just you though it's a it's an appendage it's not just you as a it's a very specific thing
i think you're not understanding the song jesus christ travis come on no way redwood tree ain't
hard to see i thought redwood was a little bit you know that was that's a generous word i think
i think if somebody wrote a song about me it'd be like
japanese maple sometimes can see
that song's great though the freaking uh the beat to that song is fantastic and that's right up my
alley so well done i think it's a great song there's definitely a lot for jason to comment on
and i'm here for it can't wait for it to come out and i'm here for it i'm here for it i'm here for
for the teasing to begin teasing can i already got that out what would i tease about his maple
this maple tree the japanese maple baby i have more of an ornamental tree cock my cock is more
of an ornamental bush there are times where this is an incredibly easy job to have one of them is
putting in this rundown jason what tree are you and watching magic happen that is
you don't have to be smart to do this job folks you just have to go what's the funniest thing i can
give this man to do and boy did he just put the ball in the tee let the very talented funny man
swing at it it's i mean all-timer and it led to uh everybody sending us photos japanese maples it
led to us uh people every time there was a there was a lego set of a japanese lego set i've been
tagged in that a thousand times someone brought a japanese maple to our live show they brought a
maple to the to the live show they brought a japanese maple to the live show they brought a
yes i mean i
so stupid hey brandon what's so stupid it's the funniest tree to pick too it's the funniest tree
to pick
it's the funniest tree i don't like when you go it's a japanese people i don't even know what that
means i am laughing at it though for some reason it's like complicated enough and specific enough
that you go i don't know exactly what that means but also your brain does not know like we literally
changed our like social headers too we did because of this we did we did i think i think we're like
the joke is done well it's not done you can still bring us japanese maple time yeah um i also like
when we we make uh i like when jason does something on our show that kylie has to address
that's a very funny oh and she made her bio big fan of japanese maples i was like oh it's a family
affair i just know that as soon as we put those clips out the episode airs i can tell that her
phone probably erupted with like did you see what and it's a motherfucker anyways that has been
