Counting Down the Best 92 'New Heights' Moments of All Time | Part 4

This episode of *New Heights* celebrates the most memorable and emotionally resonant moments from the show’s history. It begins with Jason’s unscripted review of the Twilight series, showcasing his humor and relatability. The narrative then shifts to heartfelt moments, including Travis' emotional reflections on Jason’s retirement and their long-standing brotherhood, highlighting how their relationship has shaped the show. A major highlight is a comedic yet meaningful sequence where Jason and Travis celebrate a game-winning touchdown with shirtless antics, leading to a viral moment of fan engagement. The episode also features a touching story of how Jason and Travis bonded through a late arrival at a team walkthrough, turning a moment of failure into a foundation of trust and camaraderie. Additional segments include a humorous Tinder dating story with Kylie, a nostalgic look at the brothers’ early days, and a memorable "Name the Coaches" game that showcases Travis’ lack of football knowledge. Ultimately, the episode emphasizes the show’s core theme: the deep, authentic relationships between the hosts and how personal, real-life moments create lasting connection and joy. The final moment—Taylor’s surprise album reveal—closes the episode with a sweet, fan-interactive twist, reinforcing the show’s tradition of celebrating milestones and surprises with genuine enthusiasm.

In the last, like, 45 minutes that we've been recording this episode, no, no baby yet. Have you practiced your coaching? We have practiced, you know, like. Do you remember the Jason method? The Jason method? You gotta lift them up. Lift them up. That's what him and Kylie said is, like, the Jason birthing help method is to, like, lift up. Welcome back to another preseason episode of New Heights. We are still counting down the top 92 moments of New Heights ever. This is the last version. This is the last episode of it. We got it. We're here at the end. You made it. The final installment. This is the final 13. I, of course, am Brandon. It's still very weird to say my own name out loud. And that's Jake. Jake, hello. Hello. How you doing, Brandon? We'll get to counting down these top 13 clips, starting with number 13. This is from season one. This is Jason Kelsey reviewing Twilight. As Travis was getting out of the house, I was stuck in the house. I don't know if you know this, Travis, but Canada has been ablaze. And. It's unfortunate, man. So I had to figure out something to do all day. Travis, do you like to take a guess what I did all day? Okay. I'm going to take a guess that you. I don't know. What'd you do? I watched the Twilight series. It's absolutely terrible. Starts out like all these teenage love stories do. You know, high school girl falls in love with a 109-year-old vampire who still looks like an 18-year-old, and nobody asks questions about that. So that guy's name's Edward, and the woman's name is Bella. Are you Team Edward or Team Jake? I'm Team. This movie shouldn't exist. So she falls in love with Edward. Dude, come on. Who's a vampire. We don't need to go over your recap and your summary on it. Of other vampires that have been around for a long time named the Cullens. And she has a thing for them, and that goes back and forth. You should have just went outside and breathed in all that smoke, man. And then the second movie happens. You find out that there's werewolves in this movie out of nowhere. Yeah. So in the second movie, Bella really still loves Edward, but she starts leading this guy, Jacob, on like he's got some chance, and he doesn't fucking stand a chance. Flash forward to the final movie, and Bella gets pregnant. Bella gets pregnant. Just call me whenever you're ready. Oh, so I forgot to mention, these vampires also have powers. So outside of being your typical vampires, each one has like a special power. So then they let Bella and the half-man, half-vampire baby, live. And that's Twilight. This is an absolutely unplanned moment in the show. Yeah. This was during the off-season of season one. And Jason, I believe, had been stuck in the house due to weather or something going on in Philadelphia. And he called me and said, what are we talking about on the show this week? And I kind of talked to him some stuff. And he goes, well, I watched all of the Twilight movies. Should we talk about that? And I said, you mean what? He said, I watched them, all of them. And I'm like, why? He's like, well, I'm stuck in the house. And I'm like, well, I'm stuck in the house. And I'm like, well, I've never seen them. So I watched all the Twilights. I was like, Jason, the only thing we're going to do this week is give your take on all of the Twilight movies. So please, by all means. And then we started talking about, like, yeah, it is kind of weird that Edward's like hundreds of year old, still hanging out in high school. And Edward was like, yeah, it is. Wait, hold on. This is a weirder movie than we thought. No, fantastic. Fantastic. I will say, incredible clip, incredible review by Jason. This is what spawned New Heights Film Club. We knew he had a reviewer's heart. All of this is made so much better by Travis taking off the headphones and just checking in periodically. Incredible bit. Incredible bit. Jason, go into as much detail as possible. When Travis says stop, do not listen to him. Keep going. Keep talking. Keep going. Breaking Dawn. What do you got? What do you think about the weird baby doll? What do you think about that? Renesmee, what's your thoughts? I will say, also, we put out the extended cut. Which was like eight minutes long or something like that. I think when we were recording, he talked about it for like 25 minutes. Well, I think it felt like it. I don't know if it was much longer. Yeah, it felt like an hour and a half. Yeah. It was insane. All right, moving on to number 12. This is a little bit of a sentimental moment, but an important one. This is Travis talking about Jason after Jason's retirement. We did not talk about much of your retirement. And I wanted to make sure that you didn't feel any pressure. I wanted to make sure for me to keep going, knowing I wanted you to keep going. I wanted you to keep playing this game. Why didn't you tell me this? I would have changed my mind. No, no, no. I didn't. You've always been a step ahead of me in this game. I'm older, Travis. Yeah, but in this game alone, you've always been a step ahead of me. And it's always been like I've had that flotation device right there. And to have you out of it, man, it feels. It feels empty. And it definitely feels like it's complete, you know? It was a success. I hear you. Yeah. It was a fun-ass journey to watch. And like I said yesterday, man, I just. Appreciate you showing me the way and bringing us all along the journey with you, B-Guy. We showed each other the way. I think it's. I appreciate it. Listen, I'm out of playing, but I'm still going to be, you know, I'm still going to the games. Like I said, you know, I've been. You know, you've been playing for a long time on your own. And I look forward to being able to appreciate and watch your games more and take in the bigger picture of football and everything that it has to offer. While still remaining local in Philadelphia. Like I'll never not be there, but definitely looking forward to. I don't know. It's a different chapter. And in some ways, I'll be able to experience more things and do things that I've never done before, which is exciting. Well, it was just. It was cool being the tag team of the national football league. Pretty cool shit. Yeah, I didn't talk to you. I didn't talk to you about it. I let you kind of do your own thing. And I could have been more proud listening to you yesterday. And it's just. It's been a lot of emotions. A lot of sad emotions. A lot of exciting emotions. I mean, you got the fucking world in your palm right now, dude. And you got three little ones that I know you're dying to watch grow up. Oh, yeah. It's just a lot of future. Exciting future things that we have to look forward to. Absolutely. Yeah. It's. Yeah. So, back to the speech. Can I. Yeah. Can I see the Kleenex real quick so I can just. I'm sorry. I would be crying more, but I wasted all of my tears. Yeah. But. You know I got plenty of those. I'll probably break down here at some point. You hit the intensity of the Philly fans, man. And it was awesome. You hit it spot on. You've been spot on with it your entire career. And here in Bernstein, Jason, your guy tell you that Philly is an awesome city. You're going to love it. You embodied that place. Before you even knew, you embodied it. And your toughness, your desire for excellence, your drive to be the best and not settle for anything other than that. The way you talked about the Philly fan base was so spot on. And it just. Man, honestly, being here in Philly, I. For the past 13 years, I feel like I've become a part of this sports town so random. I was a huge Flyers fan growing up because of Eric Lindros and John LeClaire. And for you to come in here and become idols like that for kids has been pretty damn cool. Did you always want to make the announcement alongside the Eagles organization? Was that kind of like in your mind to like stay a Philadelphia Eagle your entire career? Well, yeah. And you want to. I mean, I've been very. I've been very blessed to have that opportunity. I even talked about it in the speech. That almost didn't happen, right? Yeah. There's so many things that need to go right for you to stay in one spot. You know, the organization has to want you. Financially, it has to work out. And then you got to want to continue to play in the same spot. And I think it's really hard to do in any sport in today's age. It's very rare that both of those sides and the financial thing line up for your whole career. Yeah. So it was a goal, I talked about it, we saw everybody leaving Cleveland Did Big Z ever play anywhere else? That's the only guy that I've seen. Drunas. Drunas might have been the only one. He's the only one. You know, it's not, like, listen, I still love Jim Tomey. I love Manny and all the guys that played in Cleveland. But it's, you know, there's something that happens when somebody leaves that I think, especially as a kid, it's awkward or different wrapping your head around it. And, you know, I've been very lucky and fortunate to stay in Philadelphia. And it was certainly a goal. And I'm happy that it happened. Was there any other way that you were going to do this announcement? Like, were you going to, like, jump in through the table? Were you just about to go, all right, I'm done. And then just, like, jump on the burning table? No. Did it ever cross your mind you were going to do it any other way? No. I think I wanted to do it at the facility in a press conference with people in the organization there. I think that felt right. There's too many of those people that were a part of it just as much as I was. Yeah. Yeah, that was the only way I ever envisioned it. Well, you talked about some of your favorite moments in your speech, obviously, and you had some great shout-outs to the 8-7-9, your great speech. Coach Sirianni sending you the kegs and, of course, Nicky Foles in the Philly special. Did you ever – do you think that any other retirement speech, past or present, will ever mention a teammate's – Shlong? How should we put this? Hammer? Sausage? I mean, I hope not. I hope it doesn't become, like, commonplace. And everybody's just referencing this. It's like, all right, who's got the biggest day? How can I thank them? It's just so legendary. I felt like it needed to be a part of it. Yeah. Dude, it was so perfect because it was – obviously, it was very emotional. You do a great job of keeping things light and fun. Yeah. That was such a good fucking line. Mix in some moments where people can have a laugh here and there. Got to. Yeah, I mean, listen, that was an iconic moment of the Super Bowl. Yeah, real funny one here, Jake. I said it wasn't funny. This is, to me, you know – We ranked this really high for us because it's one of those things when we first started doing this show, we knew it was probably on the horizon and would get there when we got there. But to get to have this moment on the show, share it with people, is one of the things that, again, when we started this, you hope that you get to this moment and it is sort of the joyous, you know, sad celebration that it is. But I really enjoyed getting to be there for this moment. It means a lot to all of us that they have this show and platform as a way to share stuff like this with everybody. Yeah, and I think – I was expecting, like, two very emotional brothers. I think Jason might have been emotioned out from doing his speech the day before. But, you know, I'm sure they would have – they've talked a million times about all this stuff. But having Travis have the moment to just share what, like, his brother paving the way meant for him. I'm sure they would have had that conversation, but I think teeing him up to just be like, what are your thoughts right now? Like, I don't know that he would have expressed them. All at the same time, directly to Jason, you know, if it wasn't for him needing to do it for the show. And, like, I think him willing to be, like, vulnerable enough to, like, share all of his feelings in a place where everyone could see it, I think is, at the end of the day, you know, what the show is about. It's about the relationship between the two of them at its core. And I think this was the quintessential example. Ooh, I think it's the second best example. It's the second best example, but we're getting to the best one. We'll get there. No, it's one of the best, like, you know, the show. We try to always keep the relationship, the brotherhood sort of forefront. And this is the moment that that got to shine. And I think it's very special. Moving on to something a little more lighthearted. This is from the Kylie episode that helped kick off season two. This is Kylie's version of Jason and her first date. What was your Tinder picture? Well, there was a bunch of them. There was, like, four of them. Yeah, but what was your first one? I think it was me on the sideline looking up. No, it was. Shut up. No, it wasn't. Here's the problem. Show everybody you were an Eagles player. Yeah, I said, I am Jason Kelsey, legendary Philadelphia Eagles center. No, you didn't. Swipe right if you're into the Eagles. Oh, my God. Kylie, you fell for that? No, he didn't. You want to know the best part? Everyone did. So, on Tinder. You're such an asshole. Go ahead, Kai. Go ahead, Kai. I found out. Years later that he thought that there was evidence in his profile that he played for the Eagles. And he said, he mentioned something about, well, there was a picture of a TV screen. Yeah. On a game. I guess it's when he was injured. No, maybe a preseason. And it was, it was part of his profile. And I said, there was no picture of you. There was no picture of a TV screen. Needless to say, it was cropped to fit Tinder. And so, the only thing you could see was his face. Yeah. So, you couldn't see the lower thirds. You couldn't see the ticker. You couldn't see any of the graphics. All you could see. You couldn't even see the Eagles emblem on his shirt. All you could see was an athletic issued shirt on a sideline with a bunch of other people. Oh, you're such an asshole. It was so disgusting. You're being a brat. It's a beautiful picture. It's a beautiful love story. It's the start of a beautiful love story. Yeah. I got to get back on Tinder and show a preseason sideline pic of me. You think, Kai, you think I should go stash or no stash? You think they recognize me if I did stash? Oh, this is a good question. They probably would. They probably think I was like an equipment manager if I just had the stash on. For a Tinder bio, are you pro stash or not pro stash? Anti-stash? I'm going to. You hear that? I heard it the other day. If you could. This is going to sound a little harsh, but I think you should do the mustache because if they'd swipe right at your worst, then they'll love you at your best. Oh, there you go. That's good thinking. That doesn't even hurt my feelings. This is smart. Okay. Yeah. All right. This is genius. Get those expectations down. Yeah. Set them low. It's really bad. Set them low. So when did you find out that the guy you fell in love with on Twitter was a Neanderthal and just an absolute disgusting human being? I mean, I think I told her about it right away. Oh, it was in your, it was in your Tinder profile. It wasn't in the profile, but it was definitely. Well, his profile at the time was something to the effect of, I want to have deep, meaningful conversations and talk about getting married and having kids or something like that. Joke's on him. Who got the last laugh. It was pretty evident when the first time, well, I shouldn't say the first time, the second time that we hung out. What happened the first time? Well, you fell asleep 45 minutes after I got there on the bar table because he was too drunk. Not a good first date. And then Bo Allen accomplished the most impressive physical feat of his life when he, fireman carried Jason back to his apartment. I could see Bo doing that. Honey Bobo. Shout out to Honey Bobo. Exactly. He emphasized that someone who's dead weight is difficult to carry, but Jason fought him the whole way. It's even harder than dead weight. It was anti. It was. I physically fought him the entire way. You're making me look stupid in front of my, for this girl. Yeah. I was wiggling free. I was making it difficult for him. It became a challenge halfway through. But yeah, I definitely fell asleep. Got a little bit too inebriated, but I was, I was sober enough to know it was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life. It was love at first sight. Let me tell you. He doesn't even believe in love at first sight. I didn't until I met you. And it was like fireworks exploded at the door. The moment you walked through the door. I'll flow billiards. I want to feel those fireworks. It was like, you know, like when a movie has like an angel walk through doors and it's like, there's only like one light on that person. That's what happened. I've always wanted that to happen. It was like, it was like I was in a movie for a split second. And now you guys made a movie about yourselves. He's so full of it. I'm not, I'm not making any of this up. You just built up watching the documentary even more. Second date went much better. I didn't, I didn't black out or fall asleep. I'm not gonna lie. You picturing you with, with angel wings right now is pretty cool. Yeah. The second, the second she didn't have wings. I didn't say wings. Oh, like an angel. It was like an angel in a scene where the light is like only on that person. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. It wasn't, I gave you ever seen twilight. What he experienced. It was like when the vampires go into the sun and twilight Kai, when you saw him, you're kind of, your world got dark and you were like, I don't know if I like this. No, I saw him. And I thought to myself, you're wearing plaid. And really leaning into the lumberjack thing. He, when we first met, he had the man bun still, a full beard. Ooh. He still had the man bun. Lumberjack with a man bun. See, the man bun was helpful in the early stages of our relationship because I could tell when he, no, I could tell when he was blacked out. Cause he would send me a selfie and his hair would be down. As soon as I got a selfie with his hair down, I was like, I'll talk to you tomorrow. I mean, really? Shout out Bo Allen. I was just about to say shout out, honey, Bobo, kind of the unsung MVP of, I mean, okay. Again, the little domino that starts the larger one is Bo Allen carrying Jason out of that bar leads to like where we are now. I mean, it's just like, wow, that he's the butterfly. Bo Allen is the butterfly effect of all of our lives. Just an incredible, incredible story. I'm glad. I'm glad they went on a second date and Kylie gave him another shot after that. I'm glad she gave him a second chance at this. But just an incredible, incredible story you want to keep it going number 10 we're in the top 10 now jesus officially in the top 10 this is an undisputed top 10 moment uh and it is jason and travis talking about travis scoring touchdowns and jason celebrating in the suite and if i take my shirt off then i'm outside and i'm part of the buffalo bills pageantry and um it just dude it was something about the entire day i got caught up in the magic of bills mafia it is it is electric everybody's the energy uh the shenanigans and i'm like you i gotta have my shirt off at some point and i didn't get to do it beforehand and i'm like okay well i guess and i can't just take my shirt off in the box like who takes your shirt off on a box it's heated like you're not really doing it now you you're just having your shirt off at uh yeah of course yeah yeah real cool so i'm like you're what i'm gonna do i'm taking my shirt off and i'm jumping out of this box so then i'm out of the box and i have my shirt off and then i can be like my buffalo bills mafia like compadres i had no idea this is how my mind works after 40 miller lights i had a shot of who knows what the fuck out of the bowling ball that's right that's right well let's get to more of you during the game you celebrated my touchdown by taking off your shirt screaming jumping out of the suite chugging a beer with a beer and i'm like chugging a beer with the fans then jumping back into the suite it's correct this is all accurate i watched this and it was pure pandemonium just pandemonium just confusion of who to cheer for it was a chief's touchdown but it looked like everyone there's a lot of booze there's a lot of booze there's a lot of cheers though too i think i don't know man tell you what man if you don't run for president this all is just going to go to waste this is all just it looks like a political campaign you're just throwing them in one person at a time there's nothing political about this this is just a man in his elements with his bills mafia compadres enjoying the dead of winter that's what this is i wish i would have stayed out there longer to just and to actually get my nipples hard enough you know what i mean i didn't i wasn't out there long enough to really even that's your thermostats could engage how my thermostats didn't regulate to the temperature it never got there it kind of got shocked and just couldn't yeah it was just a shock to the system it was nice i'll tell you what i jumped out of that box and i forgot that i've been dealing with an mcl sprain because the moment i landed my right foot and my knee twisted and luckily it's good it's good it was just a little it's it did slip a little bit forgot that knee was a little loose so it's good old let's go to old fucking hard-working construction boots you had on and tim's got the butters on and butters got some things saved the day there was not enough cameras on the suite where you could see kylie though i wanted to see her reaction to all of this so bad yeah i don't think she was happy about it to be honest with you i there was one picture and it was her kind of smiling and laughing at it and kind of for it like you know there's jason i just know it was like that scene out of fucking uh i'm not gonna lie i gave kylie a heads up the moment we got into the suite i said i'm taking my shirt off and i'm jumping out of that suite and she said jason she said jason don't you dare and see i'm thinking you know i'm thinking it's like i'm not asking for permission i'm doing this once a kelsey man's determined there's no fucking stopping him and she was already telling me to be on my best behavior because we were meeting taylor so she's like do not this is beyond your best behavior i was like kylie when i met you the first day i met you i was blacked out drunk and fell asleep at the bar this is part of the charm this is part of the jason kelsey charm i want to make my best first impression i want to make my best first impression this is my best chance my best first impression is a the worst impression ever so i could just build from that point oh man well tay says she absolutely loved you so well i felt like it was a scene out of old school where will ferrell's fucking running dude i got so many of those streaking it's like you who we're all going down to the quad it's like frank you and who there's more coming there's frank get in the fucking car now if some of these bills mafia would have said we're going streaking i would have i was full in on the bills mafia i would have been right there with you he would have been running down the fucking block like blink 182 all the small things i just i don't know i just got so caught up in everything it's mesmerizing so yeah do you want to know anything else that's pretty much it she left me roses yeah that's all i got dude honestly i might get a picture this picture i might get this picture painted which one the one of you screaming out of the suite with a miller light in your hand that's a little bat blue bat blue my bad a little bat blue i think that's part of the issue too i was drinking one beer predominantly at the big tree inn and then you know like when you switch from dark to browns and stuff like that yes no you're right that's ridiculous doesn't they're all light beers are all yours you're a kelsey you're a kelsey that type of shit doesn't affect you i know yeah dude that picture is i mean everybody's saying put that thing in the louvre i i honestly i might get somebody to fucking make that portrait that is epic in a moment that i'll never forget man um and i didn't even see it till afterwards i uh i really i obviously saw all of this after the game and i'm going uh yeah going yeah i saw everything i was asked about it on the field and i'm like i have no idea what my brother has been doing all game and um the reporter told me i was just like yeah i mean i don't know you put us you put us lake erie guys up by lake erie and there's just something that was another bit of it dude we drove past lake erie in the dead of winter dude and it was like they built it up for you i'm back at the shores of where i grew up i felt like that when we landed in buffalo i was like god i kind of feel like i'm back in cleveland a little bit yeah something about that lake man yeah well shout out to buffalo man you uh you have to see some tweets uh that that came out of this entire fiasco the feast of bacchus by phillips de conic conic however you want to say back in 19 or 1654 it looks like uh you got some chubby little fat guy uh doing these i mean the resemblance is uncanny it's uncanny it's pretty good it's a side-by-side um so apparently i'm not the first person to do this exactly you're not the first person to show your boobs all right now well uh after the game you tweeted um an amazing quote from ellie after she saw you on tv i'm assuming this is a text from lisa to that's right kylie's mom yep lease shout out to little lease yeah yeah lease uh sent that text to kai and kai showed me and i immediately thought oh my god i'm gonna be like oh my god it was hilarious dad's got his boobs out hey snows out tits out that's that's so this is the other half of the story we were talking about earlier where jason first met taylor we said we'd get to this in last episode maybe one of the most surreal things i mean again this is probably an all-time moment in new heights slack history is jason appearing shirtless and jumping out of that suite and i mean if you want to know more about that i'm going to put it in the watch that clip he is dangerously close to eating shit he stuck that landing but it is not there's a little moment where you think that one foot's going but i mean i was watching this game at home this happened right before halftime and it goes to the half the tv networks like you always do the you know the package of like recap the quick recap of the half whatever and ends on shirtless jason so shirtless jason is on my tv and then my phone rings and it's jason so i'm looking at jason on tv i'm looking at jason on the phone i'm like oh this this is a weird phone call to get at this point so i answered it and jason is on the internet and he's like hey man am i doing too much nope you're perfect no i no i said you did it i i truthful conversation i said you did that exact right time let's get that shirt back on it's a little close game let's not jinx it let's get that shirt back on and i pitched him this and he was rightfully uh non-receptive to it i said if they win though pants off yeah you were i tried i was like let's just amp it up if they pants off and they went no this is an all-time moment and one of the more absurd things that you know there's like moments where you get really excited on a sunday or monday because you're about to talk on tuesday about stuff this is probably one of the most excited i've been to be like for sure so what's what was that about to get the confirmation that because we were like oh yeah like they're all hanging out they're in the suite taylor's in the suite like all that makes sense but to get the confirmation that they had never met before it was a really good really good wrinkle to the story that i actually didn't know until he told it there's a wait you did that that's day one you want to set the tone keeping it moving to number nine man season two stand out travis moment here this is jeans for jason let's move on to some kelsey premiere hey how was it brother it was actually pretty cool really enjoyed it we had a picture of you on the green carpet not the red carpet you really got dressed up i was gonna have jeans on but kylie kylie what kylie was uh running late ice came straight from football kylie was gonna bring the jeans kylie was late why didn't jason bring jeans for jason because i was at football and i needed the jeans for after football and i'm not gonna wear jeans all day that's just not doesn't sound fun all right i'm realizing now i probably can't blame kylie for this anyways so yeah i wore shorts and sandals she was too busy putting jeans on the three girls yeah she was too busy getting the entire family situated with the babysitter and then getting herself ready and making sure her parents are with her i can just see you pulling up you don't have my jeans i'm gonna look like an idiot gosh so true so true this is so great because i was following along with jason and i was like yeah okay got it got it got it and then as soon as travis said why i was like why yeah this makes no fucking sense oh god he was getting the four children ready she didn't have time to pack your clothes when you put it that way yeah this makes no fucking sense we still get a lot of like blank for jason comments on everything i think kylie does too there's still a lot of like oh who did blank it's i mean jeans for jason is an incredible turn of phrase yes why did why did jason bring jeans for jason is an incredible turn of phrase that it just it just bounces around your brain also shout out uh because it wasn't me but i've since co-opted it the first person to comment why didn't kylie bring jeans for kylie under whenever someone says that the kids all look like jason and they spell jeans that's great yes that's a great joke great joke great joke we love that we love that and keep commenting that all right coming in at number eight i mean there are so many moments from this night but i think you know the the pan of them dancing and then the reaction to it this is the guys talking about the post vegas super bowl celebration from rue 99 on club 92 how electric was the super bowl after party nobody parties better than jason kelsey it was electric having my big brother around dude it really didn't start getting to the next level until i found that luchador mask because initially when i first got there you were trying to get me to go up on the stage with you and i'm like no i'm gonna be over here this is your guy's time which i respect there's something about finding that luchador mask that really just transformed it really did for everyone the belly dance where it was just like the the bobbing up and down going with the motion letting the belly take control the one video of them showing me and taylor and then panning to you and marshmallow it's a very strong dichotomy of just two different worlds two people in love and enjoying the moment together panning to a complete neanderthal who is no longer connected with modern day society it looked like you and marshmallow were a tag team dude found the mask on the dance floor stop first after party spot did you at least like just give it a quick rinse under the sink no where was i gonna rinse it off travis just say you see a luchador mask you don't ask questions i for sure thought i was getting pink eye there's no chance i thought i was getting out of that mask without having pink eye this this was god damn it this is every time i watch him like dance and clap he's like kind of in rhythm kind of not but like he's like he's making it up his own it's fine uh this is one of those things where you know we follow along everywhere online as things are happening and this is one of those nights where things just kept popping up on my timeline of jason doing things where i was i was like i didn't expect any of this i don't know where he got a luchador mask i don't know how he got in the dj booth i don't know how he got home i don't know i it is we are having as much fun as you guys are keeping track of this as it's happening and it's again one of the ones we're like i cannot wait to talk to you whenever you come around uh to speak about like hey man what'd you get up to in vegas we also i mean you and i were in vegas for this super bowl shout out vegas super bowl awesome super bowl sorry niners fans it was very cool for this super bowl that like the entire pod was united behind rooting for the chiefs and they pulled it off that was why have we ever had a issue come up with a super bowl when we were like split or something has anything come up you do we want to declare vegas as so far the best super bowl city we've been to yes i think it might win i really love new orleans but vegas just kind of was set up a little easier i love new orleans though but i'd rather go to new orleans but it's not super bowl vegas was by far my favorite super bowl city a there was so much shit to do everywhere but navigating the city during super bowl week was like incredibly easy for how much of it was going to be a super bowl city and i think it was going to be a super bowl it's a straight line and there's hotels for everybody all right number number seven this is maybe maybe the best guest story ever told on the show it is again from the pat mahomes episode this is travis and pat's moment they became best friends what were your honest first impressions of travis and vice versa what were how did this bromance come together should i should i tell him the story dude that's your call that's my call it's a bad look on me but uh so obviously i get here um at the beginning of the beginning of the year and i'm still a rookie so you know i'm just kind of going through the motion trying to figure out the best way to kind of fit in um and i think the first time that i thought i was like me and travis are gonna we're gonna be we're gonna be connected throughout this my entire career was uh you remember when we had the fourth preseason game we used to have uh a little off time you had like a little weekend you played on thursday well you know coach coach reed always would give you the the walkthrough the day before the actual walkthrough and um me being a kid fresh out of college uh i had a couple buddies that were rookies with me and they were like let's let's go out saturday man let's go out we'll have the walkthrough on sunday we're done with just got back from st joe's we had a great preseason um so we go out and coach reed had told us the next day at like eight o'clock we're gonna have a 15 minute walkthrough done that's all you have on sunday so i'm i set eight alarms on my phone i have them all i go out with the rookies of course i get out there and i see old travis kelsey out at the same spot as i'm at and i'm like hey let's travis like travis like come on gary all y'all come to come over here to the table let's have a great time so i have a great night um get home uh have all my alarms set i made sure of that uh go to sleep wake up not to an alarm uh wake up look at the tv and i see 8 15 on my tv screen i didn't put my phone in the charger so my phone died and i've done that rookie mistake too many times and uh so drive to so i obviously drove to the facility extremely fast um dangerous you can't you can't overlook that initial that initial feeling of understanding that you're not going to make it there on time is the most like just drops no no no no no this isn't happening this isn't happening am i dreaming and then immediately immediately you just start telling yourself how uselessly you stupid how could you do this you suck you're an idiot you're so unaccountable man get it together man and then uh to complete the story i i get there and i get to the facility and we're they're already in the walkthrough obviously already going and i walk up to the door and like how the chief's facility is built the defense does on the first side of the field and the offense is on the other side and i was like there is no chance i'm walking through the defense late to get to the office i ain't going out meanwhile we're playing the super bowl champs uh the the patriots like the on opening night that week um and so i sit in the locker room and i'm sitting there shaking my head and they call me up to the office and i'm getting like the max fine all this different stuff feel like an idiot and i just i thought it was so weird that the first question they asked me was were you with travis and i was like no no not at all why would you even ask that and uh long story uh travis was also late he got there five minutes before me so i'm sitting here dude i'm coming into the building like fuck man i can't believe i fucking screwed this up again man because i'm i'm not gonna say i'm notorious for late but i screwed up a few times before and it's been late so i'm in my head about it i'm like man coach reed is gonna kill me man i can't even look at this guy in his eyes i'm gonna should be looking down at the ground while he tells me i'm the worst teammate ever man and i walk into the building and they're like were were you with pat last night where's pat at i was just like i'm not alone let's go man at that point and i knew we were teammates man i knew that guy was gonna have a super bowl i will say since then though i believe me and travis have never been late again so uh we have been on the straight and narrow since then so i i won't be late again i don't know about travis i can't i can't i don't think i don't think coach reed will stand me ever so i have to i'd make sure i'd get my ass up and going early man i don't have a lot to say about this other than it's it's like extremely relatable extreme relatable well my phone's always charged you've never thought your phone was plugged into the charger nope liar i'm dead serious i'm i do not i've never had this problem if my phone doesn't make into the charger i know i've had a decent evening but typically those are not right before i have a phone and i'm like oh my god i'm gonna have to get up at an alarm time no this is a great story and you know the the pat travis relationship is always one i i like just hearing anytime they talk about hanging out with each other it is very fun and like i do think getting in trouble with your boys is how you bond the best oh for sure i think that's that's the number one way to bond is like okay we went through the trenches together of being 15 minutes late for practice you can tell that they're genuinely like best friends off the field even like without having heard this story but hearing how it all started is a very cool peek behind the curtain into how those them describing having to walk through like the stretching lines is is like i have been late to things i'm late often but i've never been late in front of like an entire nfl team i'm sure that sucks all right coming in at number six this clip may not be everyone's favorite but it's important for us and it is from the first ever episode we've ever recorded this is jason and travis arguing which super bowl win was better super bowl 52 or super bowl 54 which super bowl ring is more epic eagles super bowl 52 or chief super bowl 54 the eagles was just everybody saw it coming everybody saw i saw it coming nobody saw it coming it's the first team to ever win a super bowl when vegas thought they were gonna lose we were getting points every game i was trailing every single game of the playoffs by at least 21 points it was crazy every single game i've lied only like two super bowl 52 was an embodiment of the city of philadelphia it was like a team that was possessed by its inhabitants an underdog city came out of nowhere and won a fucking super bowl for the first time in its existence this isn't even fucking close i feel embarrassed that we're even talking about this you beat tom brady in the super bowl that's the only head up you got on this man listen travis you're gonna go in the hall of fame you have more pro bowls you have more all pros let me have the super bowl okay just stop being selfish all right you're better looking let me have one goddamn thing please you mother so uh my little behind the scenes story of this is the first ever clip we ever posted from new heights it is isn't it it is the first ever clip yeah we fired it off at like nine o'clock p.m pacific like not the most socially optimized content strategy well that whole episode just sort of showed up online and yes we like we're like should we tell people we were like we have to tell people it's out and we just who do we tell we posted the clip somewhat like in the middle of the night midnight east coast or whatever it was the worst time to release a podcast ever and i woke up the next morning and the clip had three million views and i was like holy shit that was the first real momentum gaining uh clip from the show or moment from the show i remember putting together that first like rundown and it really was that first run was like 12 questions 12 questions it was straight up just 12 questions and i we put the super bowl thing in there being like i don't know let's see if they fight about it and there we go that whole first episode was like like you know in jurassic park when the test and the fences i felt like that's all we were doing there was just like they fight about this this is interesting is this good is this good is this good again i think i said this in a previous episode where you know i wanted the first clip to be the bull testicles was voted against to have it be this one which makes more sense in theory it's football show understand understood still not wrong maybe i'll repost the bull testicle clip soon yeah launch that one back out let's get those let's get those numbers on the bull testicles clip people prove me right no this was a great moment from that first episode and it's very funny to think about yeah remember when we just only had two circles talk about you that is that is nuts we couldn't do we had to get this question out of the way quick we didn't know we didn't know we didn't know we didn't know and wait we concluded it was we concluded it was eagles patriots right i think so although i don't know i don't know travis might still be like it was the chief eagles patriots is arguably one of the top five like super bowls the last like 20 years are we about to have this same argument oh wow look how good this question is what a good question good job i'm so jealous that you get to introduce clip number five man number five so i'll tee it up quick you'll know what it is this is from season one this is travis kelsey's attempt to name all the nfl head coaches based on a photograph dude that might be the segment we show players this picture and they have to name each coach in this picture what do you think is you over under that players are going to be able to name half of them half you go let's let's give it let's give it a travis kelsey try right now i can i can wait i'm i'm the worst with names but i can tell you team okay all right starting on the left chargers standing up sitting down standing up standing up chargers giants yep san fran who the fuck is that guy i don't i don't know the next two stealers is that stealers tampa is that tampa yep detroit no chance you're getting this one zero percent chance no no uh jets uh after jets nothing i don't even i've never seen that man in my fucking life uh this is so good i mean three in a row i have no idea who those dudes are everybody everybody between the jets those are all the guys i don't know who those dudes are the coordinator shane steigen for the coals come on travis um who's who's next to dougie p who the fuck you should know that one you should definitely know that one to miko who's the other one you should know him because he's arguably your biggest rival oh that is yeah that's cincy that's not he's he's a dog what's his name what's his name hold on what's his name what's his name that's uh that's coach you oh my god this is so good i'm telling i told you i was terrible with names i don't even know you're bad with names exactly the worst taylor i knew it was a t fuck i'm sorry coach taylor are we doing the bottom do you want to keep doing this this is fun uh all right are you going back to the left you're starting on the right i'm starting right starting right and going back left uh matt foley cowboy matt foley um again never seen this fucking guy in my life you don't know why any of the two eagles coaches i got head coaching jobs oh my god this is so good i love what's happening right now um miami god damn it there's no way man there's no way that guy coaches in the nfo man then p carroll harball yeah obviously you know the next fuck reverick qb's um peacock quarterback play broncos country let's ride gordon bombay we got the packers and then just no clue and then bills i'm not gonna lie i don't know how much better i could do so this started because every year they put out the stupid coach's photograph and they're like it's always like they make them line up and stare at the sun and put up this photo and they always look comfortable and weird and like it's they never do a flattering photo of them i don't know why the nfl loves to do this they love to watch the coaches it's been sort of like a online topic of discussion but i have no idea if this was ever going to be like funny to anybody else and then when we presented it to them and we started sort of like you know doing little jokes about outfits and placement and whatever and once jason cued into trevis doesn't know what these guys are it just turned into like wait how many kids are going to be in the nfl and i'm like oh my god i'm making you name and sometimes in this show you lay out something you think it's gonna go one way and it turns into a whole other i think it has like recently become like everyone in nfl media tries to do their thing with the coach's photo like yes and in this first season we were trying to figure out like what's our thing gonna be like how are we gonna join this coach's photo discussion it turns out name the people in the photo name who they are we get asked every year to do it again and i don't think we've done we haven't done it in a while but we've done it in you can't duplicate this it's tough it's i will says we've tried it we've tried to duplicate the magic of name that coach it doesn't work i'm sorry to say it just has not worked and we kind of like have uh moved on from the bit but that first one was absolute magic generally one of my favorite moments from recording i don't think we get that moment unless jason has the great idea to just turn it into a game like that i will give him all the credit that is entirely his idea to be like hey wait how many can you name listen sometimes bullying your brother is the best way what's your favorite moment from this moment because i have one in particular i go i don't know my favorite is when travis goes oh man that's coach that's when jason finally reveals that's the bangles he's like do you know who that's his name it's like oh yeah man that that's coach no it's a great it's a great bit great bit sorry we can't do it ever again it was if you were there you're there if you if you've not seen it please i would highly recommend going back and watching it all right coming in at number four we had two people that were on the show that were on the show that so many moments from the first kylie episode on this list but i think this one was our favorite in particular because of her genuine shock at finding out that this happened to both kelsey brothers uh this is kylie talking to both guys about getting kicked out of preschool speaking of our dad um has jason taught them how to fight yet do the girls know how to how to fight the kelsey way no no no jason you haven't taught him how to kick someone in the balls i have not taught him any fighting techniques yet i will try to keep them from getting kicked out of preschool the way i was oh man we both got kicked out of preschool jason tell them what you did i'll tell everybody what i did well me and a kid were playing at a cafeteria table and for some reason we were stabbing each other with sporks for some reason we thought it was like funny and we were just like hitting each other with sporks and i hit him hard enough right in the forehead and uh i just remember the next day his dad had him like under his arm and he had like three little spork dots or four four little spork dots and uh they were kicking me out and they said did you do this and i said yeah you penetrated his skull aka they were playing jason didn't like how they were playing so he stabbed him in the face with a fork that's basically what happened to which dad's reply was why weren't you watching him this is your fault exactly why the hell would you give that kid a spork and let him just eat it eat his lunch without supervising him yeah and meanwhile i got kicked out of preschool because during playtime um we were playing checkers and i was winning because i don't fucking lose at checkers and if you win you stay on right like that's the thing it's kind of hard to win travis if you never move your back row yes while we kept winning i kept winning and the teacher told me you know travis you have to share and i'm like that's not how that's not how it rolls dad always taught us if you win you stay on winner stays on you know what i mean it's not fucking yeah and uh she said no you have to share it i said no i don't and threw the chair that i was sitting in at her so is that a real story this is a real story yeah how did i not remember that yeah through a chair and a teacher you've both been kicked out of preschool yeah good luck is what you married into kai to be fair if a teacher called me and said that's surprising kids sporked another kid in the head i would then address that with my child not the teacher listen this is here's the difference it was the 90s you know there was a girl in the same preschool i got kicked out of that rammed my head into an air conditioning unit and i had a bump on my head deserved it probably but i wait my dad didn't try and get that kid kicked out of school he just was like hey part of growing up sometimes you run into an air conditioner honest i'm gonna learn i'm gonna be honest all of a sudden the sport kid's dad was like i'm not having this like your son was partaking in the sporking as well he just didn't win yeah the thing i'm most nervous about for our daughters now he won't learn because you're removing the best competition he'll be getting sporked for the rest of his life this kid's never gonna learn how to spork properly the thing i'm most concerned about with wyatt going to preschool is the phone call that i'm going to get when she has taught all of the other kids at her school the words that i'm going to get when she has taught all of the other kids at her school that she's heard at home yeah the only thing i can rest easier knowing is that jason curses publicly on a regular basis and no one's going to suspect her found mouth mother nice it that first kylie episode was i think when we were recording it we were sending each other faces kylie was making back and forth because she is so funny if you watch her in this episode she cannot help but react to the absurdity that is jason jason and travis and the sporking story is so good both of you you've both been kicked out of preschool yeah good luck the other thing too is uh the fact that spork became a verb is just and everyone knows what it means it's incredible i also think shout out to cartuna radio i think this is the first the first clip that we ever got animated for this show which just gave it new life which is awesome the kylie episodes are always the best all right brandon number three oh number three i mean i feel like a lot of you've been waiting for this moment i feel like a lot of people have been like where's it gonna be where's it gonna go what are they gonna say it up three number three top three moment first episode of season four this is the taylor album reveal let's get to the part of this show that i think is what everybody is going to be talking about do i get to say it do i get to say i get to say the two words yes well you i think we were gonna try i think this is what you could do whatever you want taylor i don't know we're not gonna review this is very much whatever within the framework of the podcast i'm a fan of the podcast typically yeah we would allow the guest to say new news yeah yeah i want to do it but with zach brown we had another uh bit that we did i don't know if you saw i don't know if we harmonize i've i forgot i forgot everything that zach taught me already all right let's just let the expert take care of this okay i just wanted i wanted to scream it taylor just travis style do you want me to start it or echo it i think taylor has a little bit of new news she's a natural she's a natural it was as fun as i thought it was gonna be oh it was everything it was everything and more we did talk about easter eggs earlier yeah and at the very last heiress tour you didn't take the lift you did not you went upstage and exited through an orange door why did you change the ending so that's i'm happy you mentioned that i'm gonna say jason did you see that fans did you see that the fans noticed this because i was pretty proud of them for noticing that they know i just yeah i was surfing the internet and saw something yeah so that was i was pretty happy that they noticed that i was like trained him well um so basically every night of the air is everything happens with the reason taylor's a planner she's not just a random orange door everywhere just eggs what's going on in the elevator lift that's how every single era's show ended except for one except for the last one where i exited through a door an orange door to be specific and um that actually was an easter egg basically the reason why i chose to exit that way is because i kind of wanted to give a little subliminal hint to the fans that i may be leaving the heiress tour era but i was also a new era a new era uh so i wanted to show you something okay what do we got we got uh a briefcase yep mint green with ts on it yep what's in it this is my brand new album we got ts12 baby this is my brand new album it's called the life of a show girl love it it was something that i was working on while i was in europe on the era's tour so while you're on tour i was working i would be on tour on earth did she do this on the tour is still blowing my mind i just love it i just love it a lot i love music um i would be playing shows i'd do like three shows in a row i'd have three days off i'd fly to sweden go back to the tour and actually like working on this i was physically exhausted at this point in the tour but i was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating and this is and literally living the life of a show girl i was i was while she wrote it that's why i said that's why i called it that nailed it so um do you want to see the back cover i would love to see all of it yes back covers where we find the 12 tracks for my 12 12 tracks bangers okay so we got all so we got track one the fate of ophelia okay track two okay go ahead i was gonna say do you know what fate of ophelia is okay i just i hamlet i don't want to get jason all riled up so let's we can just go through the track okay okay yeah track two elizabeth taylor okay you know who elizabeth taylor is you better i'm just kind of following just kind of following okay all right all right track three opalite opalite you know what opalite is jason why can we stop asking me okay i'm done i'm asking jason things like i hate this i know a lot about this album and i'm excited track four father figure father figure track five eldest daughter okay track six ruin the friendship track seven actually romantic actually romantic track eight wish wish list with two dollar signs as the s's to go flourish track nine wood wood nice track 10 canceled but it's in all caps with an exclamation point at the end that's a banger track 11 honey honey and can i can you do drum roll last track track 12 the title track the life of a showgirl featuring sabrina carpenter sabrina carpenter you the life of a showgirl featuring sabrina carpenter that's awesome incredible she had that briefcase around all day but we didn't actually see it until like we were not allowed to see the inside until she revealed it man i tried so it was a reveal for all of us it was a genuine reaction from all of us it's still just an absurd sentence to say out loud remember when you helped uh reveal taylor swiss album and you go yeah it's just it's absurd it's absurd it's absurd i did not know that that was going to be a part of that episode that was like a later sort of edition they didn't trust me to keep that secret for that long so they told me they told all of us pretty quick before we recorded oh by the way and we're like oh damn you guys are smart we would have definitely fucked up probably said this at some point Again, I cannot thank her enough for sharing that with us or allowing us to be a part of it. And I will give this little tidbit. That was the first episode we recorded in Travis's new setup. And I've never been more stressed than like we set up the day before and stuff kind of worked. And it was like, we had that moment where they, where somebody goes, Oh, I don't know if we've got internet in that room yet. And I went, you what now? So there was, there was an absurd amount of flop sweat and fear radiating off my body as we recorded that because we just really had never tested that room before. And I half expected none of it to work, but it worked just long enough for us to get, you know, maybe the coolest episode we'll probably ever record. I would remove maybe from that sentence. Hey, I always think. She might come back. Right. Yes. There. That's the caveat, I guess. You always got to think that we could do something bigger. Who knows? No, the Taylor episode is probably like hanging in the rafters at this point. Hanging in the rafters. We'll make a banner for it. It's a Guinness World Record episode, by the way. Sure is. We never got a plaque for it, but they sure love tweeting about it. You didn't. I did. You have a plaque? No, I'm just fucking with you. See, this is bullshit. No, this is where it's bullshit. It was like Guinness World Records loves to like tweet and mention everybody's name. But when it comes down to giving us the fucking hardware, they certainly didn't send anything to me. Anyways, I'm not bitter about it. They do not. And I'm calling. I'm using this platform to call them out. Guinness World Records for the longest time it takes to receive a Guinness World Record. Brandon, me personally. All right. Moving on to clip number two, a clip I am sure like clip number three, many people have been waiting for. And also clip number three doesn't happen without clip number two. This is a lowly, unsurprising SeatGeek ad read from season one. All right. Today's episode is sponsored by SeatGeek. All right. Now, the NFL is almost here. We're in training camp and we got a special discount on tickets. Thanks to our friends at SeatGeek. Tickets here. Get your tickets here. With over 28 million downloads, SeatGeek is the number one rated ticketing app. How about that? You best believe it, motherfuckers. There are more than 70,000 events every single day on SeatGeek. I say that every single time we read this ad and I do not understand how many times. But it is. We wouldn't be able to. Say it if it wasn't real. And this includes concerts, sports, festivals and much, much more. You have the NFL, the MLB. You got Taylor Swift, Drake's concerts going on right now. I heard that's a banger. Luke Combs, if you like the country music and a bunch of just shit, just shit, just events and just shit to go to where you can enjoy yourself. Speaking of Taylor Swift, I know you went to the Taylor Swift concert. How was it? Yeah, well, I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows. Because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings. So I was a little butthurt. I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her. You made her a bracelet? Yeah. Out of what? If you're up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets. And I received a bunch of them being there. But I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it. All right now. Ooh. Your number's in 87 or your phone number? You know which one. So she doesn't meet anybody. And she doesn't, or at least she didn't want to meet me. So I took a personal. But it was an unbelievable show. And honestly, Kansas City showed out. I've only seen Arrowhead filled like that for Chiefs games with that much excitement. And yeah, everybody was dressed in pink and purple going crazy for her. It was wild. It was a wild show. Well, she probably just hasn't gotten over the Super Bowl yet. She's a big Eagles fan. So maybe she just made something up and just didn't want to talk to you. Damn it. I mean, you guys knew it was coming somewhere in the top five. You had to know it was going to be somewhere in the top five, if not. Number one. But I feel like we've talked this one to death. I don't know. This is, this is, it was a surprising moment that happened. And we all got real excited about it. And we're like, is he kidding? Turns out he wasn't. I will say, probably should have noticed this, like when the two guys met in the Super Bowl. But this, I think, has since become the clearest example of how you can just say shit and manifest it on this show. And it will come true. Which is awesome. Yeah. I said that to everybody who's been on. I said it to everybody who works on the show. If you say it on air. I mean, I think there was one point we were talking about going to space where we got an email from. You can go to space. I won't say who, but we, they were like, hey, you want to go? And I said, not on your rockets. I don't know that we can keep that. It's absurd that that was the part of the last episode of season one. And we just sort of like threw that out there. It was like the last thing we recorded. It was the last or second to last thing. We always do ads at the end. That's a little. Yeah. Behind the scenes tidbit there. But yeah. Didn't quite know where that was all going to end up. And I think it ended up going pretty well for Travis. Yeah. Anyone have an update on. I don't have any updates. I, you know, rooting for those kids. All right. It is time. The number one moment. Should I do a little. In new heights history. Perfect. That sounds great. I'm glad we planned this. I'm sure our editors can add in a drum roll, but I'm just going to do this anyway. Jason and Travis sharing their feelings post Kelsey. We're going to get to what we said to each other because I was misquoted by saying that I said, fuck you. Congratulations. After the game, which is not what I said. I was like, I don't remember that one. I was, I was, I was a loss. Loss of words. And you didn't, you didn't really say much, but I know you didn't say fuck you. I mean, I didn't say much because I wanted you to go celebrate with your team. You know, I knew that you were going to feel bad for me and I didn't want that. I didn't want that to be. Uh, how you remembered that. So I just kind of made an emphasis to, uh, go hug you, tell you, I love you. Congratulations. And go be with your teammates. Cause I didn't want to be the guy that was going to bring down that moment for you. Yeah. There wasn't, there wasn't much you could do about me feeling like that. You could have told me, fuck you. And I would have still felt the exact same way that I felt with you. Just telling me to go celebrate with your teammates is, uh, that wasn't an easy feeling. And I would just definitely had lost at words. But, um, I did say one thing and, uh, I told you it was the funnest year of my life. Yeah. It was a great time. And I agree. It was a, it was an awesome year. Uh, the podcast, we've never talked more throughout any NFL season. Um, yeah, I mean, it was, that's what, that's what it was all about for me, man. To, to see this script or however you want to call it, uh, play out like it did. Um, and to be set in schedule every single week. To talk it over with you, man. That was, um, that was something I could have never drew up. Uh, I could have never, you know, expected it to be this damn fun, man. And, uh, it really did blindside me. And, um, the crazy part is, is that I would never be playing this damn game if it wasn't for you. Stop. No, it is. It's the truth, man. I followed your footsteps into it. I actually tried to play football, uh, when you started playing football. So you started playing hockey. I started playing hockey. You started playing football. I started playing football. Um, there was pretty much every sport except for basketball like that. You started playing lacrosse. I started playing lacrosse. Um, so yeah, I've kind of just been following your footsteps throughout this whole gig. And, uh, to go through everything leading up to this moment, uh, or leading up to this year and then having the year that we had, um, and then meeting you at the mountaintop, brother, it was, um, it was like we, uh, we were on top of that thing together, man. And, um, it was, uh, it was cool to break the barrier of, uh, two brothers going against each other. I don't think the story would have been the same. I don't think the drama would have been the same. I don't think people enjoy our family the same this week that they did. Uh, if, if, if it's, if it's any other way. So, well, you know, for some reason, when I saw you, I wasn't that emotional. I was really, really happy for you. I think I was still caught up in the game though. And I just wanted to try. I did not bring you down. So just wanted to say congratulations and was really happy for you, but still caught up in myself a little bit. And, um, you know, and I, I think I just tried to get away from you as quick as possible. So you go celebrate with your teammates. But the moment I saw mom is when I got really emotional because man, it was so awesome. Um, it was, it was, it was, it was, it was, it was awesome for, you know, she was on top of the world for, for a week. She was the heavyweight champ, man. She was on top of it and she shined the whole time, man. That was, that was the coolest part. Mom, you absolutely killed it. Dad, you've been killing it. Um, and, uh, it was just so cool, man, to see, uh, you know, her get to celebrate in that with us. Yeah. And, uh, it was an awesome moment, you know? So. Just so happy for her and so happy that, um, you know, she got her moment, dad got his. So, yeah, I was the only, ironically, you know, I was the only one. You lose the Super Bowl and you're crying after the game and they're not tears of sadness. They're tears of joy. So, still sucked, but you know. That's what makes you the best, brother. That's what makes you the best. You know, proud of my team and my guys. You know, sorry, Philadelphia, that we couldn't fucking get it done. But, you know, happy for you guys. And, you know, it's the way it goes sometimes. The idea that in our first season as a show, we ended up with this scenario where our two hosts play each other in the Super Bowl is the most absurd storyline you could ever write. Having to record that episode afterwards was odd in a way because you just knew somebody had just had the word. It was the worst weekend of their life and somebody had one of the best. I do think this clip, this moment, that episode is a real testament to, I think, what makes this show unique, which makes Jason and Travis so special, is that the way that they loved how much this is about their family and how much it meant to them and, you know, game results aside was still such a special moment for everybody involved. When you whittle the show down to what it is at its core, this is a moment that I think sort of encapsulates exactly what it is at all times. We didn't know exactly what they were going to say coming off the Super Bowl. And the fact that they were just so vulnerable and let us all into, like, you don't get to see what that's like, let alone, like, after losing a Super Bowl, after winning a Super Bowl, it just had never happened. Brothers had never played against each other as active players in a Super Bowl. And for them to, like, let us into everything that they were experiencing over the two weeks and just give us, like, actual raw human emotions. Insights and, you know, it was just an incredible moment. And I think, like you said, perfectly encapsulates, like, what the show is about. It's about these two brothers who are at the peak of their careers, all pro NFL caliber players. But at the end of the day, it's like any sibling relationship that you could imagine. And I think this this is the perfect clip to sort of top off our list of top 92 moments. It is certainly the one that I don't think, you know, in the list of things like we can do other funny moments. We can have a lot of great guests. We're never doing that again. Nope. Nor is it. Listen, I'm fucking hanging out there. No, nobody else is either. Like, that is it's one of the most absurd storylines we've ever been involved in. And I think in that first season when we sort of all I don't remember when we first started, like, noticing that we were kind of like week 12. We were like, like, if there ever was a shot at this, it was probably going to be now. We were like, no, they were both on trajectory for the one seed. And like, yes, you know, we were like looking at the schedule and we were debating, like, which because I think some NFC teams were playing AFC teams. And we were like figuring out which one to root for to make sense that both guys would get the one seed. No, it was crazy. And I think, like, the most stressed I've been on an NFL Sunday outside of, I guess, even with Super Bowls has been that championship. Yeah, it was it was the Bengals, Chiefs and then Niners, Niners, Eagles, where I was like. Like, please, God, that was the most stressed I've been on NFL Sunday, I think, ever. Even the Super Bowl was not that stressed. Like, there's nothing you could do about it. I called my mom at like five in the morning, stressing out. She very gently was like, OK, you've realized you're not playing. Like, that's no, no, nothing we are. We are my they need me. I remember there's a group of people going like, hey, we're going to watch the games together. And I was like, I you don't want me there. There's nothing about being around. Me on this day. That will be fun for anybody else. I remember during the during the bank. Well, the Eagles game, I think, you know, yes, writing was on the wall kind of quick on that one for a lot of reasons. But the Bengals game certainly fucking wasn't. I remember very distinctly being in my living room, like child's pose on the floor, just like literally on the floor on all fours, like head down. And I think the Bengals had the ball. Maybe they were down a field goal or like less with like two minutes to go. And I was like, this cannot be it. This can't be fucking it. I think Chiefs got a three. Being out in the ball back. I know Bengals were up. Yes. They could basically ice it out with the ball if they just got a few first down. I remember it was like three first downs games over. Essentially, they can just kneel. And I remember being like, I was like, I'm not going to record next week. If this is how it goes, I'm not going to do it. I'm somebody else can do it. I'm not dealing with this. And then Chris Jones took the Hummer out of the garage. What was it like on your end after the Super Bowl? Who sent the first like, hey, so are we recording on Tuesday text? How did that go? I don't remember. I think it was like, I think I just put sort of the rundown together and then just send it with the time. And I don't know. I don't know what responses I got out of that. I don't I don't remember. It was one of those times where I was like, well, I got to send it. They're expecting it. I mean, they they know what happened. Yeah. Do people still ask you who you're rooting for? Oh, I get it from time to time. Rooting for offense is rooting for offense. I've always told people that like going. Into the Super Bowl, much like Ed Kelsey, we'd already won. Yes, it was going to be bad for somebody and great for somebody else. We knew that. So I honestly wasn't that I wouldn't say he's not stressed because I wanted it to be good. I wanted it to be like a game that people wouldn't be like, I don't want to blow up. I was rooting for not blow out. I was like somebody needs to be a good game where people can kind of keep their heads up about it. And however they want to, it cannot be like 42 to three. Like, it cannot be that. But I wasn't I was not stressed going into this. I was like, it's going to happen. Like, it's going to be. It's going to be bad one way or the other. Like, there wasn't really much to do about it. I know that's always when people get mad at me. They're always like, no, somebody. I'm like, I really don't know what to tell you. Besides, I wanted it to be a good game. That was kind of all I was rooting for. And it was one of the better ones, to be honest. I mean, sorry, Eagles fans. It was kind of one of the better ones. It really was. Eagles got their Super Bowl win, too. They did. They did. They did. They remind you constantly. Leave that in there. It's fine. All right. No, but yeah, that's I get that question from time. And I never have an answer people like. So I apologize if you ask me that and I give you that answer. That's what you're going to get. I'm searching for Jake. Searching for good social media content to come out of that day. You did get good social media content. Wait, were you with him? We saw the Rihanna set list. Yes, we that that is our biggest regret. Could have millionaires. We had the first song. This was also our first Super Bowl to attend. I don't know if that's interesting, but eye opening did not was not ready for what it was. And like we essentially didn't have tickets. We had media passes, which means. you get to go stand around the super bowl yes yeah you got a ticket eventually but we essentially all had media passes which means like hey do you want to go to the super bowl and like mill around and sort of just like keep moving and never be able to stop or sit down and you go that sounds awful and you go it is it's interesting to go to super bowl but like the media pass is not also cracked up to be but we did wander around we got to a place where we were standing behind all these like monitors and setups and whatever and we just saw like rihanna song list and it was it was her halftime show written out by song and we knew one of the prop bets was like what song is first and we were we didn't have stadium cell phone service we were trying we were trying to put trying to put the savings on whatever it was that first song was i was texting people like hey it's this you gotta go and they were like i think we found out they capped those it's like a $25 but yeah it was like nothing but we were like jake we could fucking be retiring off of this it's our big break turns out we're still here sorry that's it guys that is the top 92 clip countdown that's it that's new heights the show if you didn't know what we were watch those you probably get a pretty clear idea of what the show is jake which final thoughts here final thoughts my final thoughts is it's tough to make a list and as we've said before if you have any complaints about moments that were left off uh moments that were ordered wrong you can tweet at brandon underscore 85 at j chat 85 brandon underscore borders or honestly because i'm going to be on paternity leave tweet at new heights just tweet at you with one s the list out on social we'll put the list out on social get in the comments yell at us tell us what we forgot tell us what we missed tell us what's egregiously unranked if you're a guest of the show and you weren't featured on this list let us know come back on yell at jake be mad at brandon he made the list the hardest part of the list honestly was the first half yes like the 40 to 92 was like it this this is kind of the wild west here the top 10 i feel like we nailed pretty quick 40 to 92 could have been 50 different things yeah there's a lot and if we miss something that's your favorite get mad at us jade bat 85 anyways this has been the top 92 moments of all time from new heights we will be back on september 2nd with brand new episodes jason travis will be back you will not have to hear from us that much promise you that we back football be back it'll be beautiful please like subscribe follow the show on all social media new height show with one s jake anything else can't wait for football see you nine two jake will have a child when we when we come back that's fucking jesus god all right no i'm ready good luck bye
