we’re talking aliens (and asking the important questions, like whether they drink), questionable TikTok sources, the Mandela Effects that have us questioning our entire childhoods, and why knowing the actual truth about the universe might require all of us to be medicated.
basically: we have questions. we have very few answers. did we educate you? probably not. did we entertain you? we sure hope so.

Our hometown is not a test tube. 90 miles northeast of Nashville, a battle for the future of America plays out in one small town. Developers with right wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land. We need cities on a shining hill. This is our town. A podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment and fights back. I guess you didn't move in on a bunch of dumb hillbillies now, did you? Listen to our town on the iHeart radio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Munga Shategatherer and I'm back with a new season of my podcast Skyline Drive. This time I talk to scientists, biopunks, cormugins, blues owners, super seniors and go as top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way. I'd say probably start bone smashing, but those are more to make you look more defined. They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive, how to live forever on the iHeart radio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. If you're bookshelf and you're for you page are equally important to your personality, welcome home. Pro society is a weekly podcast that's part book club, part group chat for anyone who thinks pride and prejudice and love island deserve the same level of discourse. Listen to pro society on the iHeart radio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. I survived nine months in captivity and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. I'm Elizabeth Smart and these are the survivor files. Every week I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable, abducted, stalked, controlled and nearly silenced. These are stories about what it takes to make it out alive. Listen to the survivor files with Elizabeth Smart on the iHeart radio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey this is Hayes Davenport and Sean Clements. We host the podcast Hollywood Handbook. Each week we talk to someone in show business and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us. Everyone has a good time and no one gets mad at their publicists for letting them do our show. We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman, Adam Scott, Danny McBride, Ben Stillert, and a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the iHeart Radio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi guys, we are back, back, back, back, back, back. We never left, we're back, and I have energy, I'm hungry, I'm hungry, I'm a little crazy. Where did that come from? You know what you're talking about? We're sitting on the couch on our phone, not speaking, and she was like, we're recording. We're back. I mean, you got to turn it on, if not, we'll have to go home and sleep. But anyways, today we're going to be diving into conspiracy theories, which we love. I really tried to do research and watch some documentaries, but I didn't have time. We didn't have time today. So, everything is from the heart today. Why we settled on this topic, though, was because we just watched the new movie "Disclosure Day," the Steven Spielberg movie and the aliens, which was based on some of the documents that were released by the government. Like the stuff that they showed on TV when the news girl was like, these are our first I'm seeing these videos, they were real. Yes, I'm pretty sure. We can fact check that. I swear. They're real videos of real aliens. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, the alien ones, they're flying saucers. Oh, saucers. Not the actual alien being worse. But whatever. So, we'll talk about it. Yeah, we'll get into that when we get to that section. I'm Vic. People were asking, where did you get your cute heart pen and your nose? I took it out, and I knew I saw it on the sink, and I was like, I have to put it. Donnie gave that to me for, I think it was my birthday, or maybe Christmas. And he designed it. I mean, he drew the heart. Super cute. And if you open it, it's a photo of us inside. So cute. I know. And it's really cute. He's insane. It's a locker. And he's beautiful. And I, it's a locker, yeah. And I forgot to put it on. But it's okay. It's at home. Stas, you shared your overnight oats recipe? I did? Did you see it? Well, I know it. No. But I did see it. But I know it because I have the recipe as well because she's handed it to me. And they're really, really yummy, they're the best. Add chia seeds. Before we're saying, I'm not saying that I'd chia seeds overnight out. You can add a few of them. They're really good for you. So they say. So they say. I'll try that. They make you, like, go to the bathroom. Try it. But I was doing too much chia, and he was like, making me my stomach hurt. But a good amount of chia every day is healthy. My stomach hurts right now, so bad. What's in your cup today? I have a nice ice cold fresh Coca-Cola. What about you? I have a Coca-Cola. I was on my way here in Stas Texan. Do you want a cocktail? Or would you like to make your cocktail, because you know I'm hungover. And I said, care of the dog, babe. And I said, absolutely not. I would like a Coca-Cola. So cheers. Cheers, sweetie. To a crisp, crisp, crisp Coca-Cola on ice. The best thing ever. Okay. So anyways. Oh, I'm stas. I'm thick. And this is better. This is better. Have. Please. Like when you're hungover. Me too. You know about feeling when you hangover. When you hangover. Wake up when you're in the silly. You're like delusional, but you can rally. Yeah. Okay. Current events. Mercury retrograde. Or you feel Mercury retrograde? Because I felt Mercury retrograde. Well, I was on my period, which is like, oh, you were here. You were here. You were. I'm the red. Oh. I am a red witch. I always bleed on like the full moon. So whatever. Do you do any, like, original? The best thing? No. Do you sleep with a tampon? Never. I haven't got my period of, like, five years. Okay. She doesn't get it, period. But I, when I was young, I don't even have tampons at the house. I actually had to get tampons the other day because I was like, oh my god, someone asked me for a tampon. And I was like, I don't want one. I was like, I can give you a pin on her. Tampons are scary because of the disease that people could get. Yeah. If you leave them on for too long, or if you're just unlucky at this point, right? Yeah. So I'm scared of tampons. I obviously do the organic ones. I like to sleep without anything. Do you put a pad? I have a pad that's cooling. So it makes your fidgety a little tingly. It's really nice. They're cooling pads. Have you ever done an amazing for your kuchi? Your kuchi is like, oh, like a menthol. Like kuchi, like, a listerie stride. A listerie stride. A listerie stride. You know, the listering strip. A listerie stride. Is that a strip? It's a strip. It's a strip. No, it's a strip. Play about that. Play about that. Play about that. I said strip. I know it. Like kuchi, like, like a listerie stride. The listerie stride. She said strip. I said strip. I said strip. No, I said strip. You said strip. You're going to die when you watch this. And you're going to apologize. Thank you. I can't wait to watch this. Anyways. Did you? So some people's life went to complete shit, I guess. Some people were in the gutter. And I was one of those people. No, why? Nothing in my life went to shit, like nothing bad. I'm very happy and blessed right now. But I don't know what was in the air. I was like-- I mean, I wouldn't leave my house. I was depressed. I was like-- I don't know. I was just like super emotional. And just, like, I felt like a feeling of like I was just like missing a phase of my life that I actually don't miss. And I'm like, damn, when's the next time I'm going to-- like, I just was like, I don't know. I was just in a mood. Yeah. I was like feeling grief. I was feeling fucking depressed. And just like, mourning the fact that I can't remember the last time I was in love with Matt. Well, I'm not feeling. That makes sense. But then when would you read your grid end in? Outside. When did it end exactly? Ew. What the fuck are you good? What was this pulse check? What were these, like, five days of you being done in the-- Oh, check. The dumps. For what? Like, go live your life. Grow a book to Half Life. It would be so fast. Yeah, you need to get out of here. Thank God that the Mercury retrograded. Regurgated out. And we are entering our fun air again. And I guess, healthy air. Or not depressed. OK, so these were our top conspiracies that you guys wanted us to talk about. So like, Stas said earlier, before we started, we both watched a movie called Disclosure Day, Steven Spielberg based on aliens. Yes. And we love aliens. We really do. We love it. We respect you, if you're listening. Don't hurt us. Wherever you are, don't take us with you unless it's magical. Yeah. OK. But anyways. What do you think of the movie? I thought, the movie wasn't what I thought it was going to be. Like, I wanted to know what was happening. Like, I thought it was entertaining. Do you think aliens are among Stas? Absolutely. You think they're human form? Like, they can like, transform into a human? Well, that was like a good point in the movie that I was like, damn, was the fact that they said that the aliens were showing themselves as animals so that they didn't scare the people at first. I just-- And I was like, really cute. So cute. I mean, I much rather, I much rather, tear a cute deer than an alien.
-Yeah, I mean, yeah. -Even though, like, why are they always depicted the same, like, the big, the oval, the little bodies? -Why are they always depicted like that? Is that because. -Well, I don't know. There was this one book. And it was like this alien book of, like, documentary, no, documentaries of sightings. -No. It was secret, like, secrets from the government that they got released. -That got released. -And they described aliens in the book as, like, tall whites. Like, there were, like, tall white figures. -Yeah, so I don't know what they make themselves. -So I don't know. -Like, you know, I mean, obviously, we don't know where you guys are. -We don't know where you guys are. -We could be the aliens. You know, that was one of my theories. -We are. -We are the aliens. And it's us from the future coming back. -Mm-hmm. I told you that. Probably the last episode. Probably. We just talked about this. Why did we talk about this in the podcast? -I love the world. -Oh, yeah, we were talking about "Inner Stellar." -Yeah. I got. Some of my friends I got mixed reviews. Some people liked it, some people didn't like it. -Me and Donnie thought it was a fun watch. -Yeah, we enjoyed it. -It wasn't, like, the best. It wasn't, like, "Inner Stellar," the best movie I've ever seen. -But it was good. And, like, I just love. I love movies about aliens because we do believe the exists. Obviously, they must. The universe is gigantic. And we're a tiny little speck of sand in a floating rock. -Turks and Kekos sand. -Beach. Imagine. One little piece of. We're tiny in comparison. -Yes. -And it would be really narcissistic to think we're the only one here. -We're the only one here. And we are not like that. We believe in love. And we believe in. There's multiple people. Anyways, there's a ton of other aliens. And a ton of other ones. That's being one of the guys. Exactly. We are one aliens. -We are aliens. -We are aliens, yeah. -There are multiple. There are so many. -Who knows? We're high as the guys. But we're not. Anyways, I think we're huge conspiracy theory believers. -I think so too. -Because if you think about it, we are humans on this earth. And we don't know a lot. Like, the government keeps a lot of secrets from us. And honestly, it's almost probably better that way. Because if we knew the reality of what we live, it would probably really scare everyone else. Everyone would have to be medicated. Which is what I was saying is when we were talking about disclosure a day to Vic, we were texting about it a little bit. And I think that when there's crazy movies like that, it's the government's way of giving us little seeds and planning little seeds. So that when the aliens do come and everything gets really freaky around here, that we're like a little bit more prepared. -But you think it's the government saying it? Or like the director? -Someone's got to know the secret. -I know. But the world knows that aliens, there's been confirmation from the government that aliens, that there's like, the UFO side is what we're happening in the world, where like something was happening crazy. And it was when the government released that there was extraterrestrial beings. -And no one cared. -And no one cared. Everyone's like sculps. -I think we're just sown. Everyone was like, wait, why did we just ignore the fact that the government actually showed us? -By the way, all of it is lighthearted. And none of this is confirmed. It's two of us on a couch drink and I can't recall. I talked to my aliens, like take it with a grain of salt. -Grain of salt, yeah. -Don't come for us, you guys. -Then come for us. -We're just two silly girls. -Yes. -Hey, this is Hayes Davenport. -And Sean Clements. -We host the podcast, Hollywood Handbook, on the Big Money Players Network. The show is extremely accessible to first-time listeners. Each week we talk to someone in show business, aka The Biz, and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us. -We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman, not that great. -Actually, can you help me shape this? How about we flip it on his head? -No. -How about we flip this around? -What is the surprise one, man? Actually, you think that the straight man is actually the one who's acting weird. -Adam Scott, love. -This entire time, you've been expecting Adam Sandler to come to visit the show. -I would never let go of that. -I would never set expectations for something like that. -It seems like if the universe allows for something like that to happen. -I am open to it. -I'm always going to accept. -Danny McBride, fine. -Yeah, it's all this fragile masculinity exuding. I could smell it walking on the hallway to be honest with you. -I was like, "Is that weed?" -No, it's fragile masculinity. -Ben Stiller, no. -I think there's a lot of times out of context, people don't get it, or even know what a circle is, you know what I mean? -It's so stupid. -Everyone's so dumb and fake. -Right, fake and also not interested, or just like, "Oh, I've got my life. I don't care about your life." -And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. -Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show and he wants to be a guest on every episode, but he's just so busy. Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the iHeartRadio app Apple Podcast or wherever you get your podcasts. -When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and health captive for nine months. -I survived, and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. -I'm Elizabeth Smart, and these are the survivor files. -I just remember this low-taunting voice next to my ear saying, "Shut up. Don't say anything." -Every week, I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable. -I knew if he woke up, without a doubt, he was going to hurt me. -I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed, and I just started screaming. -They are abducted, stalked, controlled, and nearly silenced. But these aren't stories about what's taken from them. They're stories about what it takes to make it out alive. Listen to the survivor files with Elizabeth Smart on the iHeartRadio app Apple Podcast or wherever you get your podcasts. -On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. -I can wait four hours for the next bus, or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. -I choose option B. I'm Julie Piñero, and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first. -I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita, trading the pity for possibility. -Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meeting people, and they were like, "You smiled at us, not a lot of people smile around here." -It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is, and not the lies you're sold about it. It can be a time where you push your limits, change your mind, or wake up to a new version of yourself. So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip, I hope you listen to Solita. -On the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. -I'm Munga Shategater, and I'm back with a new season of the podcast Skyline Drive. This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones, and brain replacement to try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about. And what it really means to live forever, for all of us. I learned about some rad science. -I can make a brain for you, and then we can test what draw is the best for your brain, as opposed to his brain. -Here's some hard truths. -I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four to five year acceleration. -And get myself into a world of trouble. -I'd say probably start bone smashing. -That doesn't work. -Make you look more defined. -They say it works. I don't know. -Listen to Skyline Drive, how to live forever on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. -If you're a bookshelf and you're a four-year page or equally important to your personality, welcome home. This is Pro's Society, the weekly podcast that's part book club, part group chat for thought daughters, pop culture obsessives, and anyone who thinks pride and prejudice and love island deserve the same level of discourse. -I'm Eli Rallo, and every week we're connecting the dots between books, the internet, and the conversations everyone can't stop having. -I'm gonna have to look up this story. I'm obsessed. -From best-selling authors and your favorite book talk creators to the latest pop culture moments, nothing is off the table. -It's like if you can hide some real messages inside compelling characters, and that is a Trojan horse. -Whether you're looking for literary deep dives, smart pop culture conversations, or a community of readers who love to think a little too much, you're in the right place. -Listen to Pro's Society on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. See you between the pages. -It's talking about some things that may or may not be true. -Okay, if you think if the government was like, "Okay guys, there's aliens that look like this," and they seem cool. Do you think-- -They seem cool. -Are you still posting your brand deal tomorrow, or like nothing? Like life just goes on. -Life just goes on. -What are we gonna do? -Sorry, they're here. They've probably been here for so many years. -What are we supposed to do? How will that change? -Yeah, my brand deal is going up tomorrow at noon. -Like and comment. Everyone's gonna be posting their get ready with these. -Yeah, like someone's gotta pay the rent. -And you know they're gonna make it funny. -Oh my god. I'm gonna be like, get ready with me to go find an alien.
I'm going to hunt for it. I'm gonna make a whole series about the aliens. I'm gonna come find you guys and let me hang out. I'll show you a good-ass time. I know. I wonder, yeah. Do you think aliens like to drink? I don't know. It's fascinating to think about aliens. What do you think their life is like? I don't know. Do you think that they sit and ki ki on the couch with their friends? I don't think they have. What was the other alien movie with Emma Stone? She gets kidnapped. Yeah, yeah. That was Bugonia. Bugonia. That's also about an alien, which was kind of cool. But I think it's kind of like that. It's probably really, really funky over there. Yeah, like funky. But kind of fun. Kind of fun. Kind of fun. Kind of fun. You know what I think about? Obviously there's so many planets. Are the other planets livable? Not all of them. Okay, well, unbelievable ones. Has anyone actually gone into the other planets? Like, let's say you're seeing Earth and then you go and then you get closer to Earth and you get more and down, down, down, down, down, down, down. And then it's like a fucking city. So like we're seeing the outside of Mars, but has anyone gone, down, down, down? Like what if they're like the scientists have gone? No, not gone, but it's more about, it said, approachable. Like, is there gases that are going to make us explode? Honestly, I don't know if we're going to sound so dumb. Like, people are probably going to be like, did you guys go to school? What are you guys talking about? What's a documentary for once? Air 51, like there's definitely like a crazy bunker in there. Yeah, of like all the things that they've collected. Just so much we don't know and it's almost like pointless to talk about it sometimes because like what? Would you rather like know everything that's going on in the sky or in the sea? In the sky. The sea is dark, we can even breathe down there. And the sky, we can breathe up there either. So honestly, I'm pretty enough with what we have to know about our lives. It's like, yeah, but there's more ocean, right? Well, no, the planet is mostly ocean and a lot of it hasn't been discovered yet. Which is really cool too, but I have no business down there. I think space is more interesting. Yeah, if aliens have been watching us, what do you think? The weirdest thing that they've witnessed about human. Aino. Oh. They're probably, what the fuck are they doing in here? Like, what are they doing that? That's all I feel too. Like, what are people doing? I'm like, I don't know what do you think. I think that one's the best. I don't even think I can answer after that. I don't know. I mean, for me, it's extremely confusing too. Why are people putting themselves into this pain? Oh my god. Have you ever seen a UFO sighting? I don't think so. I mean, either. It's kind of annoying. I thought you were getting. No, I never have. But you know what I find interesting? Everyone that has said that they have seen one? Yeah. It's always super, super bright lights. They move extremely fast. They're like saucers shaped. So like every single person that. And even that documentary we watched was the same. Maybe that's why they think they're really small. 'Cause like, the saucers are like. The saucers are gigantic. Oh. But you think it's like a little thing. Like, fucking fly side. Above you. Like, it's like gigantic saucer. Oh yeah, you're right. Oval. Shiny. Bright. Have you not seen the one that. I guess planes are not that tall. But think about how plane looks so small, but how many people fit up there? Over like 350 passengers. Anyways, we believe in aliens. I would love to see our UFO sighting. Yes. Everything comes here. When I show up really good. I would love. I think it would be a fascinating thing to witness. Oh my god, it would be beautiful. I'd probably cry. You would cry. Okay, for sure. Why would you just set it? You literally set it. And I said it would too. It just depends on the day of the night. If I'm. You would've had a night. Tonight, if you saw it, you wouldn't cry. Hmm. That was interesting. But I think. If you were in a silly good mood. But we're like. Also, babe, that's UFO! Also, it wouldn't happen in this damn city. We would have to be like up in the mountains, somewhere really remote. Should we go on a cute hiking trip and bring the. the. the vibe? Oh yeah, we should do that. Camp? Yeah. Yeah, totally. We should camp. Like, let's go to, like, some woodsy. Yeah, let's do it. I'm down. Like a really nice RV. Obviously. But I'm going to Big Sur soon. I love Big Sur. If you're in California, you must go. I've never been. Let's see. And you are from here, which is crazy. Yeah. It's only five hours away. What? I can't come. No. Because you're going on a bait trip. Mm-hmm. So you'll be in a. I have a thaw. I have a thaw. Just another bitch and I have a thaw. It's another bitch and I have a thaw. Okay, anyway. So we'll be leaving there. Let's see if anyone has a good documentary for us to watch. Comment down. I would love to be educated more. I love it. I think it's really, really cool and really interesting. In the documentary that we watched, they were collecting water. Where are they? Yeah, but that was in like Michigan, not Nevada. Oh, Nevada. Why are there always in Nevada? They're always in Nevada. Well, that's where. Yeah, but that doesn't mean that. Is that what most sightings have been? I. Is Area 51 a military base? Well, you know what? I think that they're in Nevada because that's where the military is hiding all of their alien shit. At the Area 51 base. So all the aliens are probably like, "What the fuck are you doing down there with all of our shit?" Maybe. So we're gonna come see. That's why all the sightings are there. In the world. At the. At the most. You have both sightings. [sniff] You notice that his by far has had the most reported sightings, by the way. Hot spots. Nevada. Arizona. California. Washington. State. New Mexico. Then Canada. Then UK. Brazil and Australia. So those are the most pop-in with the aliens. Those were the places the aliens want to go. Why not Turks? They are missing out on Turkey. Keep saying it. I keep saying it, guys. Whoever your travel agent is. I'm kidding. Tell your travel agent to work that you have those straights of Turks. We're crazy. Or go to Ibiza. Fuck it. [laughter] Okay. Shit. I believe that when someone talks about something so much that there has to be some truth to it. The next talking point that you guys wanted us to talk about. Is pyramid. So there's lots of conspiracy. [laughter] By the way, this is my favorite new. Was it called? Prototype bar. They taste like the sneakers bar. Ariel pulled me on and anything he says I do because he is knowledgeable. This is not an ad. It's amazing. I don't know if these are healthy because that's so many of them. I feel like the mean girls go when she's like. Regina George is an alien. It's like actually a sneakers. Try it. Mm-hmm. But if you ever crave something sweet, it's a good alternative, you know? Wow. They have different flavors. I got a green apple and jelly. Jelly. [laughter] Cooks on cream. This is really good. Instagram. I got it immediately. Wow. Ariel put me on. Shout out, Adia Tejala. We're going to have them on the photo. Mm-hmm. If you ever answer this damn phone. Okay. Okay. So the next thing is pyramids. Love this conspiracy theory. You do. I mean, have you ever seen them? I'm never going to Egypt myself. I've never been to Egypt either. But like, how does a human build that really? Well, there's multiple theories about this. There's theories that the aliens built it. There's theories that there was giants once upon a time and they built it. There's so many theories about these big-ass pyramids. How did they get there? I think it was humans. Right? I don't know how they did it, but I think it was humans. You're a good job, too, ever. Wow. I can even go to the gym and they're building. Like in the gym. Like those big-ass blocks. Like how heavy is one of those blocks? I don't even want to. I just have no idea. I have no idea. I thought you said you loved this conspiracy. Well, because who the hell built those? People are saying that the ancient Egyptians were the ones who allegedly build the pyramids. Okay. To serve us the tomb. To the kings and queens. For the thorough. Kufu. I love history. They were constructed by tens of thousands of skilled workers, including Stone Mason's engineers laborers. They type in giant. Giants, like giants. Like I thought that was a good one. There's no credible archeological evidence that aliens helped. It's more like on the books and TV shows and movies. But it remains one of the greatest engineering achievements in history. Do we have a vote for this one? I want to go humans just because, you know, give it to us. Yeah, let's give it to us. They somehow did. I mean, they built other things, too. Yeah. So maybe it took forever, but they built them. That's true. Like we build buildings now. Exactly. So back then, I'm just like in shock on how they got those blocks. Like what did they use back then? But if you have a vote, also vote, or if you know something we don't, tell us. Leave a comment.
sneaky comment, they're a DM. I'd love to know. Okay, the next thing that we were supposed to dive into is sirens. I love us. I ran mermaid debate. So a lot of people were saying, which is an interesting take that I'd never thought about. Were that the sailors thought that there was sirens like when they were out at sea? And it was like we're men just being men and like seeing like being like you know hallucinating and then maybe it was like like seasick and they're like seeing this whale or this manatee and being like, oh my god, it's a woman. Or imagining being imagining this woman. It's giving I don't I'm not like a believer but then I see like I don't think mermaids were like like the cute sexy girls like I think they're like scary like scary like a fish fish that looks more human they had a little face yeah and like a long tail and maybe like an arm but like very I think that would be very very deep. Yeah I don't know who's seeing that personally personally. I don't like. But have you ever seen any videos? Like I've seen some crazy videos. Of course girl. Hey, I was ruining everything. Yeah. They planted everything. If you were stuck in the sea, we just are hallucinating. What? I don't know. It just depends like if you're stuck. Am I fed? Do I have a right? Probably not. Probably not. Not to all of it. And it's hot. So I think we would definitely hallucinate something and then die. I think I could get I could you would die without water. But I would find that stuck at sea. Yeah. When you go fishing. Yeah. In place. I would. You would you have to build a little Did you have you seen that movie Life of Pi? Have I seen the movie Life of Pi? Yes. Okay. Love it. What are your thoughts in the end? I don't remember the end. It was the end. Was just watching recently. No I don't mind. It takes talk about it like two days ago. Oh. And it was the end. It's up for your interpretation of if he was with the animals or if he was with the chef his mom and like the other thing. I think he was with the humans. And like he just made the story to make it better. When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and health captive for nine months. I survived and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. I just remember this low taunting voice next to my ear saying shut up. Don't say anything. Every week I'm with survivors who lived through the unthinkable. I knew if he woke up without a doubt he was going to hurt me. I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed and I just started screaming. They are abducted, stalked, controlled and nearly silenced. Their stories about what it takes to make it out alive. Listen to the survivor files with the Elizabeth Smart on the iHeartRadio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, this is Hayes Davenport and Sean Clements. We host the podcast Hollywood Handbook on the big money players network. Our show is extremely accessible to first-time listeners. We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman, not that great. Actually, can you help me shape this? Okay, how about we flip this around? Okay, what is the surprise one then? Actually, you think it's the straight man. It's actually the one who's acting weird. Adam Scott, love this entire time. You've been expecting Adam Sandler to come to visit the show. I would never let go of that. I have, I would never set expectations for something like that. It sounds like if the universe allows for something like that to happen. I am open to it. I'm always going to accept. You know, Danny McBride, fine. Yeah, it's all this fragile masculinity exuding. I was like, "Is that what you need?" Nope, it's fragile masculinity. Ben Stiller, no. I think there's a lot of times out of context people don't get it or even know what a circle is. You know what I mean? Like, girl, I go work just so stupid. Everyone's so dumb. Ben, fake. Right, fake and also not interested. Or just like, "Oh, I've got my life. I don't care about your life." And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show, and he wants to be a guest on every episode. But he's just so busy. Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. I can wait four hours for the next bus, or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I choose option B. I'm Julie Bignero, and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita, trading the pity for possibility. Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meaning people, and they were like, "You smiled at us, not a lot of people smile around here." It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is, and not the lies you're sold about it. So whether you're a solo travel veteran, or you're too nervous to book your first trip, I hope you listen to Solita, on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Munga Shatekater, and I'm back with a new season of the podcast Skyline Drive. This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones, and brain replacement to try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about, and what it really means to live forever for all of us. I can make a brain for you, and then we can test what draw is the best for your brain, as opposed to his brain. Here are some hard truths. I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four to five-year acceleration. And get myself into a world of trouble. I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make you look more defined. They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive, how to live forever on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. If your bookshelf and your four-year page are equally important to your personality, welcome home. This is Pros Society, the weekly podcast that's part book club, part group chat for thought daughters, pop culture obsessives, and anyone who thinks pride and prejudice and love island deserve the same level of discourse. I'm Eli Rallo, and every week we're connecting the dots between books, the internet, and the conversations everyone can't stop having. I'm going to have to look up this story. I'm obsessed. So obsessed. From best-selling authors and your favorite book talk creators to the latest pop culture moments, nothing is off the table. It's like if you can hide some real messages inside compelling characters, and that is a Trojan horse, whether you're looking for literary deep dives, smart pop culture conversations, or a community of readers who love to think a little too much, you're in the right place. Listen to Pros Society on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Just like the aliens, trying to tell me what you want to see. I think he made a reality that works. So he's listening. Just like the sailors. Sailors. Yeah. Just like sailors with the siren. Another conspiracy. Okay. I think we're moving on from there. Yeah. Say it in us. It's the Bermuda Triangle, which this is like kind of scary and spooky, no? Like yeah. So many people have disappeared, and vanished. Well, I actually, you went through it. No, I went out. I was doing some research. Okay. And I saw that if you really look at where ships and planes have gone missing on the map, it's no more like everywhere else than in the Bermuda Triangle. So they've kind of debunked that theory. Oh, so he's not even a theory anymore? Like it's happened and there's cases where it's in the triangle, but when you zoom out and you look at all the different like spots on the map where it's happened, it's not like super congested there versus everywhere else. So that's not even a conspiracy theory. Well, it just, it's just I debunked it today. Consider that one false. And if that TikTok that I saw was wrong, shit, I didn't fact check it. But regardless, I would be nervous of flying over the Bermuda Triangle. Where did we, didn't we go somewhere to Bahama? No, I went to Bermuda and I was scared of the Triangle. You were so scared of the Triangle. I, I don't know if I've been near the Triangle. I didn't know where the Triangle is. I'm assuming it's near Miami and somewhere else. Oh, really? So I definitely flown over it. Sure. Well, here we are.
Maybe she was a bad accident, like storms and navigation cameras. Oh, this one's interesting. By far, the truest one is our phones are listening to us. Yes. And it's really creepy. But I watched a documentary, actually, well, I started it, but I had to pause 'cause I had to come here. Called "The Social Media Dilemma" is on Netflix. It's a documentary about all these people that work that Facebook, Google, and all the way because of ethical reasons. And we can't work here anymore. You should watch it. But it's really interesting because one of them was like, I had to quit Google because of the ethical reasons. We were creating something that people were so addicted to. And we were trying to make it less addicted. We were trying to make it even more addictive. So it's about how the advertisers fund all these companies, right? And we are the product. They want our attention. Like, how do we make some notes actually while watching? It says, our attention is the product. That's what they want, their attention. So what do we do to make us entertained? We like a conspiracy theory video. They're going to give us three more that are even crazier to keep us hooked. Because all of that becomes data. And the data builds a model. And they predict how we think and how we live. And that way, they make the most money. It's really scary. Engagement is the goal. Growth is the goal. And advertisement. Advertisement making the most money. It's the biggest goal. So that's the scariest one. Well, it's the craziest thing. You'll be sitting on your phone being like, oh, I need new sandals or whatever. And then like two seconds later, I'm scrolling. And it's like an ad for all these different sandals or whatever. But it's like, you're saying it out loud in conversation. And then it's-- So they're listening. Mm-hmm. They're listening. It's really creepy. But like, what are we going to do? What are we going to do? Lindsay saw this TikTok and she was talking about it. So this girl was like getting interviewed on the subway. And someone was talking to her about this. And she was like, tell them to listen. They make my life so much easier. I'll be talking about something. And then two seconds later, it'll be popping up on my feet. I say, allow, allow, allow, everything. That's funny. OK, girl. I mean, if they're doing it anyways. I know. It's just hard. You can't change anything. Just you. It's like, where are we going to do? Where are we going to do? Where are we going to get our little ant's phone? We're like, little ant's soldiers. Do you know who doesn't have a phone? Christopher Nolan? Yes. How crazy is that? He's like, I don't have a phone. He's like, I would become way too addicted to it. Well, because he can. Allow-- because he has to wake up with assistance. Yeah. We don't. Christopher. We don't. We don't. Christopher. But you know, what's really freaky is my TikTok algorithm. When I'm in one of my sad, sad, few days, how I was just saying, doing my career at your grade, I was not feeling happy. My whole TikTok page changed from funny silly, like, whatever videos and make up and whatever to depressing. They know your mood. Videos. But how do they know my mood? Because if you spend two extra seconds on a sad video, and he knows that he hooked you and you-- like, the dog one that you sent me today. Oh, my god. If he knew-- And then your whole algorithm becomes sad. I watch one Spanish video, and then my whole algorithm is in Spanish. For like the next hours, you know, the phone knows you more than you know yourself. You guys-- I don't know when this episode is coming out, but I was sobbing about this girl Isabella and her dog, Simon. Today. And I sent big the video. I didn't open it. She wouldn't open it. I have-- my dog, you said, that's my biggest fear. I'm not watching it. I don't even want to manifest-- sorry, not manifest. I don't even want to see the future. Because it's a future where all of us-- like, dog, the cats, everyone-- Lindsey meet all of us. There's a-- everyone you know will be gone in the next 100 years. It's a harsh reality. They just get to know us so well so they know exactly what ads to put on that we're going to swipe up and buy. They're making so much money from us. You're spending time. There's this guy that wrote a book saying 10 reasons why you should delete all of your social media. And they talk about it in the episode in the documentary. I need to watch that one. But our job is social media. So it's a little bit hard for us, but-- Yeah. --as we're filming and podcasts. Google's amazing. Obviously, there are Gmail. All the things we're able to do because of Google, right? But I think they were saying, like, these companies you launched them for like a purpose. And then they become like a beast of their own. And then it's impossible to control them. And then it's just like, people use the mind of its own. Yeah, which is like, where is AI headed? That's the next beast. They're doing-- they can do a job for you. And they're making those robots. Robots? Robots. A robot. They're making them robots. They're like, like, clean for you. They're like-- they could probably-- They're going to be making robot nannies and rob everything. The future is coming. That movie, "Horror." Yeah. A head of their time. Yeah. It's time. A head of its eye. Like, what the fuck? OK. OK. Like, they were ahead. Would you rather go into the past or the future? Oh my god, the past. Yeah. Always the past. We were lucky. I was actually one of the last generations to grow up without an iPhone. Oh my god. But I didn't have an iPhone as my first one. I had like a little Nokia. OK, but look, if you were born in 1992, you typically grew up with VHS tapes and DVDs. Like, I grew up going to blogboster and then going to my YouTube. OK. Dial up internet and then the broadband, flip phones, before some of our phones, might be some Facebook and the transition from analog to digital technology. It's pretty crazy. So I'm super grateful that I grew up that way. Yeah. Because it's kind of scary. Even me, like, I want to have kids and it's kind of scary. Like, the kids now are like-- With the screen. It's so different. Like, Shiloh, my nephew, he doesn't even know what an iPhone is, but he just wants the screen. Even if it's just like this, he just wants it. It's almost like they're born with like a chip out. They're born with like a chip or something. Like, Alexia doesn't let Sophie F. She watched TV, which she doesn't really let her watch. She only lets her watch shows that we watch when we were kids. Like, she'll watch like Little Bear and like, Dragon Tails and the quality-- I'm not the quality, but like the colors and like, everything is so weird. It's not as bright, it's so like stimulating. Yeah, Sophie's similar to Alexia. She doesn't let Shiloh near a screen, but-- Which I think it's good. They're doing good, yeah. I'm scared that I'm going to be overwhelmed. I'd be like, here's Vampire Diaries. Here, watch, start young. Get it. Learn that Vampire Diaries name. I can't wait to rewatch Vampire Diaries and make it for the 20th time for you. Yeah. I never even finished it when I just started. What? Because it got like-- I kind of-- It kind of a whole podcast episode of Vampire Diaries. Paul just did call her daddy and they talked about how he's never seen the show. Like, he's only seen like two episodes that he's directed in the pilot. And he hasn't watched the show. I'm like, babe, I've seen the show. Probably 30 times through. All eight seasons through, not stopping once. I'm actually going to restart it tonight. And she was like, you should do. You and Ian should start a podcast. And have you guys like watch the episodes? And then talk about it. And talk about the episodes. And I'm like, I need to figure out what exactly the episode that I want to get on. And I'm going to tell him, when you guys film this podcast, I want to be in this season, this episode. I want to be there when you guys talk about it. I have questions. She imagined being casted as Nina for that. Like, that's such a-- And you're like, with the hot two guys. Oh, my gosh. And she's just like, oh, she's like the best-- It's like that one meme where the girls like-- Uh-huh. I didn't say two guys, yes. It's like, yeah, it's like that. My god. She's the lottery. Like, what an amazing way-- Every girl's dream to do your 20s. Filming the hottest show with the hottest sexy men. Kissing both of them. Oh, also her hair. I'm sorry. But not the hair. I mean, the hair is good. Her hair is good, whatever. Something else that I do want to talk about is Mandala. Effects. Effects, which I honestly learned about it. Honestly, maybe like two years ago. I didn't even know it was the thing. But about how logos change. And you don't even-- And you can't find the old one, but you remember them not being how they are now. So we're going to talk about the Mandala effect while we play this game. OK, so let's start with Fruit of the Loom. I remember it with the basket. I'm going to tell you right now if you're right or wrong. Yeah. You're wrong. Well, we could be right, but the now symbol is the other one? Or no? We've never had this. It never had the cornucopia. The what? It's called a cornucopia. Oh, I told you that the last day. I never had the cornucopia. Like the fuck? Cornucopia. Monopoly glasses, obviously. Always had the glasses. Actually, I don't know. But I remember with the glasses. He always had that eyeglass. No, wait and see. There's no way. He always had the eyeglass. I don't know. This is something wrong. Some-- this is-- OK, what's this next one? The monkey with the tail. No. The tail. Curious George had a tail. How are we getting them all wrong?
Because something's wrong and it happened right after us when the phone started But what's the point of changing the tail like who cares about the tail? Like what would they do to make us feel crazy? Okay to show that they can control us pick it to I'll let you go first I think he had the black tail me too Great so zero out of five Peanut butter, was it Jeff or just remember this one? I think it was Jeff. Okay, great great Chick-fil-a or chick. Okay, so did you have a care? This is what I saw on take it up. It didn't have a K You never had a K. I'd never had a K Yeah, it's chick C.H.I.C He had the K See, that's what they just chained they just changed this I'm telling you someone needs to have some sort of Chick-fil-a memorabilia That doesn't have the guy. Okay, Oscar mayor What a difference you're mayor Oscar Meyer. I feel like it was Oscar Meyer. Uh-huh Okay, and then I know my dogs and then kids I love me hot dog. I know Kit Kat. It had a dash or did you know how the dash Kit Kat. I'm gonna say no - I Think I'm a Vodash You guys that was crazy, that was crazy. It's in the city one. Yeah, six in the city and the ending of the notebook It was like a whole thing that they changed, but I don't have that. No, I think there's just multiple endings. Okay That's not one dollar thing. No, I think there was like multiple endings because everyone was saying that they like get they Crawl into the bed together and then they died in bed and then the nurse comes yeah, and like finds that's the one that I saw That's the notebook. I've always seen right and then I think I'm one of the streaming platforms. They didn't put that ending in Oh, that's super weird or something. That was our conspiracies. Did we? I don't know what the fuck we are saying. I mean anything the anal thing is gonna make everyone laugh so Because that was enough for that. It was hard. It's really hard to talk about conspiracies because obviously we don't know And we also don't really are not and we also are not like conspiracy theory. Yeah, so we don't have like someone that knows anything Any fact that could have been this make this interesting. Okay, you want to know who we really want to have on the button Brian You guys Brian if you've ever read Only love is real or many lives many masters by Brian Weiss. He is the past life therapist.
