The episode blends promotional content with in-depth college football analysis, centering on the upcoming playoff matchups between Miami and Ole Miss, and Indiana and Oregon. Still Blue Coffee is highlighted as a brand with a social mission, where each can of coffee funds pet adoptions, reflecting a commitment to giving back. The hosts break down team performances, emphasizing physicality, defensive dominance, and offensive efficiency, with particular attention to key players like Chambles and Malik Benson. The discussion also explores the emotional weight of rivalries, especially in the SEC, with strong opposition to claims that winning benefits a state’s economy. The hosts argue that true fan loyalty is rooted in team pride, not state pride, and that victories should be celebrated without envy or resentment. The segment also touches on broader college football dynamics, including the rise of the Big Ten’s competitiveness and the unpredictability of high-stakes games. Ultimately, the episode celebrates the drama, strategy, and emotional investment that define college football, while promoting both a product and a passionate fan community.

What is that shirt? I've worn it multiple times. I've seen it. Yeah. Wow. The fact that you. The fact that you just anybody who sends you a free shirt, anybody who sends Liam Blutman a free shirt, you just wear it like some sort of merch or like you don't have your own clothes like you don't have your own team. Your UCLA fan, it is pathetic that you're sitting out there with your hand out, please send me free stuff. It is pathetic. Okay. Do you understand that? Completely agreed. And while your boys and two son are gang, right, for the cold days of January, I'm hyped for my boys from Bozeman who are able to win and capture a national championship. I'm hyped for the Don Joy Mafia that I've so proudly wrapped that great offensive wine group. I'm so happy for Taco and burrito dollar. I wish you could have that success very long. Taco. You're absolutely stopping on the very first segment. And the very first segment is Liam Blutman, you now have 45 seconds to talk about the Montana State national championship. Yeah. Brandon, Brandon, I will say though really quick before you say that. That shirt that you're wearing, I believe I was with you when you got that shirt when we were at the Arizona Bowl and no, that's a new one. Look, Coach Brandon sent these into Wobb. Oh. Yeah. All class. You and I, you and I did a weird, like a, like, we almost asked for merch at the last Arizona Bowl. Do you remember that? Well, we knew it was our last bowl game and we were going to go out with a bang. We pulled the best mency. Uh, we were like, Hey, we're leaving. So if y'all got anything you want to put in the bag, we'll take it. It was, it was a shameless like, Hey, we love that we're here. So you guys, because they had just beaten up what Oklahoma and their bowl game, right? Didn't they? I, I enjoyed Tucson, man, I thought that bowl game we did twice was really, uh, really fun. I, I enjoyed it a lot. Anyways, I just wanted to point out that we did absolutely ask for Arizona merch, but neither here nor there. Um, the one thing I'll say about Montana State last night is I said it on mostly today, but everybody on Twitter who kind of lies and says they're fed up with college football, they're fed up with the transfer portal, they're fed up with the NIL. They can't take it anymore. Even though college football ratings are higher than they've ever been, people are kind of lying about that. But if you are a person who hates the transfer portal, hates NIL and hates what college football has become, the other antithesis of it was on TV last night when Montana State was beating Illinois State 3534 for the FCS National Championship. And I'll just say this, Liam, in my history, I remember this game just being buried on the first big ACC Big 10 Saturday of college basketball before like 11 a.m. and now they put it on Monday night. I think that was a hell of an idea. Yeah. This was an exceptional switch up to own that Monday night. The first Monday night when there's no Monday night football. It's a day to themselves, uh, and it paid off in dividends. I mean, do you see the crowd to Montana State and Illinois State, both traveled so well. It was a very intriguing matchup. I thought Montana State was going to roll over them. We were genuinely one snap away from on the greatest postseason runs that any of us have ever seen or haven't seen because so many people, you know, just don't watch the FCS just didn't watch it. Illinois State was 600 to one to win the FCS National Championship entering the tournament. That's unfathomable. Unheard of. They remember when they picked off North Dakota State and I was screaming into the void, hoping one person cared that this pesky, loyal 24 point underdog preseason right top 10 was able to beat North because they unbelievable, um, I, I'm happy that the FCS had its night, had its moment. Hopefully it carries momentum into 2026 to have their moment again and in another national championship. We want people to at least watch the semis see, it makes me sick that people just focus on the playoff and the final four and the Miami's in the Ole Misses of the world and it makes me sick that guys like big F and Liam Blutman focus only on the FCS game prime time Monday night because I was all about UW River Falls the other day. UW River Falls beating, beating, uh, you, Union, North, uh, beating, you got it, you got it. Now he got it, he got it. The school they beat is right up from where you live, North, central, uh, central, closer to where beat. Yeah. You, you, you, they beat him. UW River Falls beat him. Yeah, they did. Yeah. The division three. UW River Falls big F. That's what I've been focused on. I never was. It used to be the big one. The union I remember was a big one that was not a, it was a Mount Union Mount Union. Mount Union was called to watch all the Wisconsin pipeline schools. Look. John went, uh, Wisconsin white water. I remember it was a big one. They used to play in the national title all the time. What's Mount Union known for? Pierre Carson. Other's Pierre Marshall. Pierre Marshall. Uh, just winning those championships. I thought they won. Like a monster. I love them. Yeah, I mean, UW River Falls high made the postseason since like 1996 or something that outlandish. Yeah, Tbob, we're in the middle of our comprehensive breakdown of division three championship where UW River Falls, using their top gun offense was able to beat Central North. And have a that young hot shot coordinator, you know, give the leader kid, give the Booter Kid in the rain, sealed 26 year old. What's his name? I call him the kid. I call him actually. What are you going to make? I just call William. We're having one tomorrow. I'm pretty sure. That's why I can't believe you don't know. Yeah, Brad show prep yet, you are you are on the show tomorrow, Brandon. Are you not? Isn't tomorrow? I'm excited. The head coach and the office coordinator of UW River Falls get to talk to the number one cultural media personality in the country tomorrow on one. Brandon, by the way, complete side note. I had somebody tell me today, you know, they were like, you know, you're the number four college football personality, according to big game Boomer. And I thought about this. Have we heard from big game Boomer in years?
Am I just no, no, no, he got out the game. I've seen a couple of tweets from him at some point. He uh, I I know just good sick of it. Big game boomer came to Chicago. Yep. We took a picture. He put it out. I think people were just assholes to him. I don't know if that's when he decided to quit. If he's like, I just don't want to deal with this shit. Uh, but I met him and talked to him about 10, 15 minutes. I thought it was a terrific guy. You know, early on in the big game boomer life's life cycle. People forget me and him. Me and him. Yeah, we were we were we were a bastion, but then we there was a healthy respect and a mutual respect. And I ended up meeting him. He seems like a great guy. So if he decided to get out of the game, that's great for him. If he wants to get back in the game, get back in whatever. I completely forgot about it. I remember back in the jack mac and Katie days, like there were days where we wouldn't even say his name because like we would be beeping with him so much that we wouldn't even give him the promo. I was like, shit, this guy has just kind of disappeared, but Brandon, your flag will fly forever. Yeah, I mean, I want him back because I did like him. I thought he did crazy engagement, you know, best Mexican, tough, 50 Mexican foods, tough, 50 Mexican food restaurants in every college town was just incredible, but whatever. Okay. So it is the college football playoff semi finals. We have Thursday night, the fiesta ball, which I believe 30% of the seats in the stadium will be owned by Ben Mets by the time he gets off. So we've got that the fiesta ball of Miami and Ole Miss. And then we have on Friday, Indiana and Oregon for the rematch between the two incredible teams. I don't know how y'all want to take it. I guess I'll just start with the first one. I'll start with Miami and Ole Miss. Big have a start with you. Miami beat you guys. Well, hell. Casey, you guys too. But anyway, Miami has beat you guys last time we saw him. I've been looking at what Ole Miss has done. I think I'm going to end up betting Ole Miss because I can't lose that way. Either I win money or I watch them lose. I will pay money to watch them lose. Anyway, Ole Miss has a magic thing to them. They have that quarterback that extends plays and is great and incredible. But this Miami defensive and offensive line is something that Ole Miss has not seen this year at all. And Georgia, for all the talent they've had on defense, they were 107th in the country and sacks this year. This Miami defensive line is a different animal for Ole Miss. I'm sure that's, if you're picking Miami to win, you're making it on that. If you're picking Ole Miss, you think that's not enough. So what do you think about this match-up? Yeah, I like Miami. It's so tough because Chambers like has that thing that say in and even like Marso Reed don't have, he has the full package. He can run around, he can make plays with his arm. And I think that's something that obviously will be huge from when the pass start, he's going to be just stalking down on him. But I think what you said brings there, I just trust Miami where I trust that password. Being able to get home with four is just massive, absolutely massive. And just the offensive line, I think they're going to slow the game down. If they're smart, they're going to take the ball and it chambles his hands as much as they can. I think there are just two things I rely on more that I just think I can depend on more. See, I like Miami because I agree that I think it's just a physicality that they have not seen in the SEC or really that you're going to get from really anyone besides maybe like an Indiana, at this point, to be honest. Well, I mean, frankly, nobody's seen it. I mean, that's not just like. No, that's not saying. I mean, yeah, A&M hadn't seen it yet. Ohio State had seen it with Indiana, but Miami was even more physical upfront than Indiana in the one game sample sizes that we saw. Tiba, you're all about tiffles and havoc rate and all of that stuff. And you're an offensive diamond by trade. This game for Miami to win has to be one of the line of scrimmage. For Ole Missa, when it has to be won at the quarterback in the skill positions, what do you think? I think, well, I think, funnily enough, I think these are both the opponent that each team, like if you told them before this season, you'll be in the semi-final against this team, they'd be like, fuck yeah, dude, like I'll take my shot, right? These are not like the traditional powers. See, there's very winnable games for these two to continue their runs. I was thinking a lot about this in the shower, trying to really parse what was the difference? What is the difference between how Ole Miss created the win against Georgia? What was Georgia's weakness? Does Miami have it? And I think that Miami represents a specifically bad matchup for Ole Miss in the way that Georgia did not. And it goes back to exactly what you just referenced, Brandon. Georgia, for all of its defensive prowess, was not disruptive. It was not a team that got a lot of sacks, a lot of TFLs. They tended to win with just like raw discipline, but you could see they started trying to press their shambles. Last week they had to add to that rush, and then he was able to make his magic. When I worry about for Ole Miss in this game is the Ruben Bane factor. Are there tackles capable of handling Miami's edges? Because if they're not, Miami can get pressure with four, but they can get the rest of the secondary. Miami probably wins the game. Maybe Ole Miss schemes up chips and other creative ways without taking too many resources out of the attack, but you really want Q and Lacey doing consistently. And who else did Ole Miss lose to besides George? Was it Alabama, right? They didn't lose anybody else. Oh, that was the only loss on the entire year. Interesting. For some reason I told myself they'd lost the band as well in the shower. They didn't play them, and the only defense they played so far that I think can be in the class of Miami is Oklahoma. That's what I was getting at. Yes. Very good, and they kind of smoked Oklahoma's rare good defense. They scored along. That's fair. That's fair, and that is about as disruptive a defense as you're going to find. So maybe my entire shower breakdown of the game just kind of fell apart on its face there. Because that was like the crux of my thought was like, okay, Miami defensively will be able to get pressure for it. They'll be able to rush discipline, shameless, won't be able to find the holes like he did last week. And offensively, I think Miami's just going to beat you to sleep. Except like, whereas Georgia could run the ball all right, I think Miami could run it better and they can definitely throw it better. Right. Georgia's biggest offensive success was just Gunner Stockton rolling out, waiting till he was like signing his own death certificate and then dumping the ball off. Like dealing with these skill weapons is going to be something completely different. So I like Miami here. I think all misses run comes to an end. Casey, I would say you were probably pro Ole Miss being this good before anybody else. I think that's a fair statement to say. Miami, you probably didn't believe in as much. Well, actually, you believe in them a lot to begin the season. And then because your team was playing, I mean, it kind of colored your view of what you thought they would be in the playoff, I think. But now that you've seen both play two playoff games, one beat A&M on the road, one beat Ohio State, an neutral site, one beat two lane, and then beat Georgia and the sugar bowl. Which way is the wind blowing for you? Well, that was very accurate. Your right head, Miami not played A&M. I might have felt differently. And Evan, I were texting after Saturday night because we went back and forth on who Miami played better and have put it perfectly. It was like two losers in the Spider-Man meme showing each other like, "Ah, who it is?" But at the end of, yeah, it's like, we both are just losers. At the end of the day, whatever Miami did at halftime against A&M when they decided we're just going to run the ball down their throat. They carried it into the cotton bowl. Obviously, the defensive line is playing out of its mind. Like, I can't bet against Miami right now because I saw it up close and I didn't believe in them against Ohio State and I was wrong. And there's just nothing I can say about this Miami team that's going to make me pick Ole Miss. Now, obviously, there is the whole magic we've talked about with Shamblist. He's going to stay at Ole Miss, Kiwan Lacey staying at Ole Miss. We've got all of those narratives. I just think this Miami team is so good and they're clicking on every single cylinder that they need to. And when you look at the two losses, I mean, this is beating a dead horse at this point. When you look at the two losses, it's Carson Beck turning the ball over. He's not turning the ball over right now. So I have to take Miami. Hi, Roughnecks. We'll be right back after this word from our sponsor. Still blue coffees. New can lattes are here, crafted with 100% Colombian coffee. Let me think about this. Ole Miss will probably be the best offense Miami has faced. I think that's fair to say, Ole Miss isn't a lead offense, but Texas A&M and Ohio State both have pretty good offense. Ohio State has really good offense. Texas A&M had good numbers this year offensively. They've given up 17 points in two playoff games. They have been dominant. Does it continue? Yeah, I mean, their defense has been absolutely relentless. And as you guys have already spoken about, it starts with the front four. It starts with mezz' door. It starts with Bain. The aggressive, fearless attitudes, the incredible breathtaking get offs that Bain has been able to get.
I'm very eager and excited to see the match up between Mesador Bain and Chambles. Chambles is escapeability and that impromptu and nature of making something happen out there. I'm very eager to see. There's not really much else to say that you guys haven't spoken about. I don't think I can make a pick for this game. I think I can only lock in on the storylines because it's a phenomenal storyline match up. You have Miami's cocaine white uniforms, all Mrs. Powder blue uniforms. You've got Ben Mintz trying to buy out half the stadium, Confederates vs. Convicts. You've got it all in this game and I cannot wait to see who ends up out of nowhere. 60 minutes away from a national championship. It's surreal to think about. There are truly three teams of Destiny right now. How's that for? No, I'm saying three. I'm not saying the Oregon's the team of Destiny. I kind of agreed that, I think. I think the other three are. But like for as much as I and anyone else has pushed back against the idea of an expanded playoff in the 12 teams in this and that, whatever. I'm not going to grinch this. You could set aside and look and analyze and just thank the college football gods for serving up on a silver platter. An incredible two semi final games with endless storylines. An endless pool of elite player talent to obsess over for terrific quarterbacks. Great head coaching storylines and matchups in this and that. I'm just excited to kick the ball off and play ball and I hope that there's not bad targeting calls or incompetent receiver us that ruin this great, great week of ball. Brandon, sorry. Can I read about the move on from the game? So I want to add one more. I have the best point. Yeah, but you go ahead. Then you make you. Well, okay, then I just want to know actually my points are very good. Now I feel so I also have a question for Brandon after. My point is so good that it doesn't matter what you say. So go ahead and say it and then I will make my point. Okay, fuck me. I'm just going to say I spent my whole time like all of my time talking about Miami and how I think like on the field from a pure matchup standpoint, I think there's a pure team because they have the better defense. Like kind of the gap between their office and defense for both teams is kind of equal in terms of what the string the weaknesses, but I think defense wins on the stage. But I can't I can't do a game previously. I'll talk about Trinidad channels. I mean all season long, right? He is the chosen one. The prince that was promised. The man who in Ole Miss's darkest hour has come to their rescue. Put them on island time. He continues to elevate. And at that position, the single most important position in all of American sports. No other sport has a position that is valued so highly. Picture, but they don't play every night, whatever. Chambles can make all of that logic that I tried to talk about and all like what I see as being the magic. He can throw that all out the window. I'm picking Miami, but I'm excited to watch Chambles. Logic. Reason. Understanding a football. Bane and Mesodore. Mark Fletcher. Malachite Tony. The U. It all adds up to Miami looking like a team that's going to get back to the top of the mountain. What nobody is paying attention to is the fact that Barstool sports is laziest, most piece of shit, worthless sack of dog shit human being that I wouldn't trust to run a goddamn hot dog stand. He is somehow always standing at the end with the sun shining directly on his lazy. I'm never going to work again as five years ago. I did so well in my first year of Barstool sports. Dave said, "Living is going to strike again. I'm going to go to Mississippi find a rival for this guy and it's going to be magic. And he hired the most cross-side pathetic piece of shit I've ever seen in my life. And he has done nothing but win and get free shit since the beginning. So why God? Why God is it going to stop now? It's not. He wins. He wins. And I have no explanation for it. But if you think the Miami Hurricanes are enough to outweigh his piece of shit, no work ethic, lazy I haven't asked, you've got another thing come. Shout out midsy. I would just say the perfect villain. He is a perfect villain in your story. This is and like Brandon, my question was going to be if you're going to bet with your college football brain, which you are very good at, the number one college football personality, you know it's my am, like from an X's and O standpoint. Like you know, like if we took every Mississippi bone out of your body, Ben Minson exists and you were at like Fox, you weren't at Barstool. You would take Miami and out of 10, but you can't. You just can't do it. And that's the Barstool difference. And I think I just did all that for a little bit of flair, but I think the actual thing that was happening. I think the actual thing that happened was six years ago, I got my big break and I got to Barstool sports and my life turned around. Thank you to Dave Portnoy and Big Cat and all that. My life got better and down somewhere in the depths of hell, Satan was looking up and he's like, oh, he's he's got a good job, huh? All right. Okay. He's got he's got to get a better house. Okay. Why he's going to get a nice car. All right. Well, guess what I'm cooking up and hear the fuck we are. This is and I we've been together. You can't have a lake in your backyard, Brandon, you know, you can't have a lake in your backyard and not some of the consequences. Yeah, I want to say you wouldn't have the lake and all the four Christmas trees that you have and your wife wouldn't carry the gorgeous bags that she does on the private plane without binments, you know, you think about that. Like these are things you have to give up. Yeah. Without you having to put up with things, I will say that Ole Miss, like again, binments is definitely a storyline, but somehow we've gotten through this entire segment talking about narratives without mentioning just even the biggest storyline that Ole Miss is dealing with and that's the coaching staff and Lane Kiffin and are can the coaches be at LSU versus coach Ole Miss? Like there's so much going on with this team that it does seem like there's like there's like we're going to look up and they're going to be playing for a national championship or going to be like and why did Lane leave again? Wasn't the whole thing you can't win one unless he goes to a brand name? That does play into this as well. That being said, let me play Devil's advocate here. Ole Miss got to the playoff and they got to play two Lane at home. Then they got to play Georgia in a glorified home game in the Sugar Bowl. Now, beating Georgia is no walk in the park. It's an incredible accomplishment. They are they are in the final four. But as we've seen with Alabama, with Oklahoma, with a lot of the SEC, maybe beating Georgia isn't what we thought beating Georgia was. Maybe Miami and this talent is going to be overwhelming. I don't know. I'm simply saying this as a part of Devil's advocacy. If we've seen the SEC fall one by one by the wayside and every single team has fallen except for Ole Miss, is that a possible storyline in this game? Yeah, absolutely. I also think Brandon, yeah, this year's Georgia team was kind of a culture win team, right? They didn't have any dominant element to them, but it's just so solid what they built there. The foundation, it is worth pointing out. So I wanted to in pursuit of thinking about the other game. I wanted to look up some S&P plus rankings. It's just Bill Connelly's analytics, right? You don't be overly worried about what it is. Ole Miss doesn't the second race ranked offense in the entire country. And vice is still going to be called in place. So I maybe I'm selling the overall offense a bit short because I do feel like it's so changeless dependent and it's not necessarily a domino line. Like like Miami is bringing to bear, but they're they're they're stuck in the country there. Defense ranks 18th. Miami, on the other hand, offense ranks 21st. Defense ranks six. However, I think right now, Miami's defense is playing like a, you know, top two unit in the entire country, if not one. Well, and when you look at what Lukis tennis, like Lukis shout out the notes that he sent us, but you're right, T-Bob, like you look at Ole Miss offense yards per game number two, passing yards per game number four, points per game number nine. Like this offense isn't getting fully the love, like as high up as they are, but there's just something about Miami's front seven right now, especially the front four. Like they are just absolute like just havoc wrecking. They offense those tickets defense wins championships. I think it's a lot of two. And the ratings are fair, like Ole Miss has had without a doubt as one of the best offense in the country, but it is all relative to the defenses they've played and that I don't think they've seen one like this. And that's just playing like this. Like they're just, I mean, I'm being on the receiving end of it is brutal, but even just seeing the clips before just, just the mentality that they're playing with right now. They're like, he's like, they don't want as bad as we do. All these, they're like cliches, whatever, but I'm looking in their eyes and I'm like, they really do what they wanted more than we did. Like there's an intensity in a physicality they're playing with that just different right now. I remember I talked to a couple different people who went down to Miami praxis and they've also the same thing that Mario Chris Walt runs the most physical practices that you will find in the modern era.
of football. And it's a tough thing to be that physical, but not over tire of the guys by this point of the season, but I don't think Miami looks tired. I think I think I think they look pretty fucking forged in the fire of hitting every single day. Like I heard they're doing like old school like big cat drill type shit, like just one on one, just like almost like Oklahoma type shit, which you do not see at this level of football nowadays a lot. I will say if Thursday night ends with Mitzi on the sideline and Michael Irvin whipping his ass with a belt, that would make it, that would make it, that would make it all worth it. Did he go get a touchdown scored in his face in the corner of the end zone and then Michael Irvin whips him immediately afterwards? I don't think he's got the pull. I got to get on the field. No, I was about to say, I would love to say, and by the way, Brandon, I know I said this that night too, but it only happens to you because I was right in the end zone when Marcel threw that interception against Miami and not anything happened to me. It's just you. God really does have something for you. Hi, Roughnecks. Hey, Kirk Herb Street here. When Hurt said they needed a football analyst, I assumed they wanted my help. Turns out they wanted Peter, my dog. I didn't even think Peter knew ball. Well, technically he knows that ball. Now, Peter's part of the Hurt's Gold Squad and will be making weekly picks throughout the college football season. So whether you're coming to the stadium to cheer on Peter's picks or kicking off your own road trip, book direct at hurts.com/Peter. Brandon, if you had to guess right now, do you think Binman's is buying game time tickets? No, I mean, listen, game time is an incredible partner in their growth. They're awesome. And they're amazing. We're not dealing with a proper human being. We're dealing with a trash bag with eyes. He's going to get free place to stay. He's going to get. I'm surprised to pay for the flight. I'll have to see the receipt on that one. But no, he's either somebody's giving him free tickets. That's just how it's going to go. I already know. I've already heard. I know the connect to the connect where he's apparently in touch with the festival now. I can't turn away from it. Do you know who he's staying with? Well, it was originally rigs because I texted rigs and I said, are you sure you are okay with this? And he said something along the lines of, is it bad that my number one concern is I have a balcony and he was like, should I get netting? And I was like, I actually know a specific netting that I could give like for a two-year-old that my son used in Texas like for my parents' house. So I could send that to you. And then the next thing I saw was that he sang with Biz. Well, Casey, you're right and you're wrong. Oh, no, there's more. Both, well, originally, he was offered a room and an 11 room mansion with Lazy River buying all this people. But Tate wasn't allowed to sleep there. Hold on. He then invited Tate to stay there and then the people that rented it were like, whoa, oh, no, we don't know that guy. And then rig stepped up and said, hey, Metzy, will you come stay with me for two days and Metzy said, yes. And then Biz said, so now he's staying Wednesday night with rigs in his free condo. He's staying Thursday night in Biz's house. And then Friday, when Tate goes home, he's going to the 11 room mansion to stay with the Ole Miss. And according to a tweet from Biz, an hour ago, Biz is going to the game with Metzy on Thursday. This ends with the last storyline of Miami Ole Miss. And that's the BTA World Championship between Michael Irvin and Keon Lazy and Metzy getting on the field with Lazy and whipping out the belt on the Miami logo as Michael Irvin walks away in the distance. That's how this ends, Brandon Walker. You are right. The powers that being know Ole Miss, Metzy, win this game. The guy doesn't lose any X's and those do not matter. It's over. It's done with Ole Miss wins like 27, 26 on the holder for Miami. Can't even catch the ball on the extra point. Like, this is how it goes. And we're going to see an unbelievable Metzy recap at 436 AM. It's going to be sick. Liam, after Lazy River. Liam, you obviously live on the internet more than anybody else, and you live for the gifts and the memes. Having a Michael Irvin versus Ben Men's game has to create some magic moments. It just has to. I hope Michael Irvin's got the scouting report out in his figure and out what he needs to do best to get after mentally. All right, Casey, you got some more business. I do. All right, I think if you ask the most observers of college football, and listen, Miami Ole Miss, one of them is going to play for a national title, one of them might win the national title. But I think if you were ranking, if you asked the majority of America, the ranked teams one through four left, I believe one and two would probably be in the other game in the pitch bowl. I feel like Indiana obviously is number one. I think the way Oregon has played ever since they lost Indiana probably puts them at number two. Only one of them can play for a national title. It is a rematch where Indiana went out to Alton Stadium and had to that point. It's biggest win. Arguably in school history, you know, certainly under cursing Eddie, it was his first, I think it was his first gigantic win. Last year he got to the playoff, but didn't really have any huge, huge wins. It was kind of, you know, they had a schedule to help them get there, and then they lost Ohio State Northam. This year, it was all leading up to that Oregon game and they passed it with flying colors. And now Oregon, that their only loss gets another chance at them. Big 10, Guy Big F. This is this is a matchup of two Titans. Yeah, now honestly, like it was because you said the right one and two thing. I don't know if I'm totally agree with that. Maybe I'm maybe I'm not as high on Oregon as other people are. I really like Indiana in this spot. I just I don't want to just completely relate all my points back to just one game that they played early this year, but I mean it wasn't Austin. And if you remember that game, I mean, Indiana was the far more physical team. They spotted them. The pick six touchdown and still won that game by double digits. Like I really think they're just a I think they're significantly better. I think they have better coach. I think they do have better quarterback. I think they just have I think they have a better defense. I think they they both have very good offensive lines, but I do I wouldn't even lean in Indiana's. I really think like they're also just what Chris are like, even when you think about the Texas tech game, like very sloppy Oregon in that game. Like that's a lot of points off the board, a lot of penalties, a lot of bad snaps, um, fucking up drives. Like I Indiana, I just trust Indiana more like that. I really think Indiana could win this game soundly. I really like Indiana here. I feel pretty confident in that. That's interesting. T bomb. So I it's it's what is interesting is that I think a lot of my thoughts mirror ads just with not such a large gap. Um, like you said, Indiana went on the road handled that game top to bottom. I have seen nothing from Indiana and nothing from Oregon that should make me feel like that much is changed in the interim. Like Oregon's gotten better, but guess what? So is Indiana. Like Indiana's just continue to play better and better and better. And it's it's it's that quote that I've talked about a couple times when Dan Carlton, some of the Japanese, he says they're like everyone else, only more so. Indiana's just like Oregon, only more so. Like they're they're both the most complete teams in the field. They both execute at the highest level. However, Oregon just slightly better. As I've said, slightly crisper. And that's what I actually wanted to go look at when I was looking at SB Plus earlier. It's like, oh yeah, well, it's two of their rank. Sure enough, offensively Indiana's third. They're second, defensively Oregon seventh, offensively third, defensively. Indiana's 33 other teams, Oregon's 20 maybe sapping tin. If it is a close game, um, that might be an advantage for Oregon potentially, but, but yeah, no, I again, and I kept trying to figure out like, what's the angle? But. they're both so solid, they both don't have any apparent weaknesses. And in that first match, if Indiana just appeared to be better, I think both teams have gotten better. So I think everything's just kind of held serve. And so I got Indiana winning again, because why would I bail on Indiana as well? At this point when all they've done is pass every single test has been thrown their way. Casey, thoughts? Well, I agree with everything they said, but the only thing, the only reason that gives me a little bit of pause is it is, and I know it's a cliche in all of sports, but it is really hard to beat a team like that twice. And I, you know, I learned my lesson too with the Georgia Ole Miss game, where, and I understand these are two completely different teams, but there is something with that. And you look at Ohio State organ last year, and I know these are different teams, but it is very difficult to do that, especially when you have an organ team that is very good on both sides of the ball. You have a coach like Dan Laning, who hasn't completely gotten over the hump, but he's gotten organ there pretty quickly. That's the only reason that it gives me pause to say, I think that this is all Indiana, but I'm very much on record, and I have been since like week five or week six that I just think this Indiana team is so good. They're an absolute wagon. I love Fernando Mendoza, and you want to talk about a team that has just absolutely no weaknesses. I do think that it is Indiana, but I can't say that it wits without a doubt like going to be as easy as it was for them seemingly the first time they play. I think it's going to be a lot closer. I'm going to take Indiana, but it does give me a little bit of worry that organ does have a better shot because they lost them earlier this evening. I'll say this, I do think what you just said is correct. If you want to point out a team with no weaknesses, it's Indiana this year, but if I'm trying to find a weakness on organ, I got to use a pretty, pretty good magnifying glass. Like I got a lot tougher than anybody else, but yes, I got a really dig in if I'm finding a weakness on organ. I got some takes on this game. I'll let Blutman go first. Yeah, I mean, it's just super difficult to watch Indiana and see how well oiled of a machine this is and deep down in your heart and your gut. No. If they were dressed up as Alabama, like what would these lines be? What would the line have been last week if it was the in first? They're probably a 13 and a half point favorite. Just how well they are run, how attentive to detail they are. Every little minor detail, they are immaculate that. They aren't good. They're perfect at it. The blocking. It's just so hard to look at all that and want to pick against them. And again, just goes to show I'm an imbecile for doing it multiple times this year. When you see it, you see it, you see it and you still swerve. Like I still like what organs guy. I know a lot of people are going to make a big deal about Davidson being out. They've used the Ryan back committee, like they're fine in the back field. It's whatever. I think this game also the first game was so much closer than I think people are getting crap for it. It still was a tie game with like what, six, seven minutes left. I know it ends double digits, but they still were back and forth. Indiana was the more physical team. You are correct there. I think the X factor in this game is if Malik Benson could find this way behind Indiana's defense more than one time. I know I think he have 40 yard touchdown against them in that first game. He's really come along lately with the injury sawler receivers. So of course, I've gotten healthier. But Dante and Malik could find the way to exploit the second there and get over the top. I think that do wonders for organ in this one. I just like I'm an honest man. I don't know who the pick. If you held a gun at my head, I guess I'm dead because I don't know who the pick. It's a true 50 50 in my opinion. If not like a 51 49, I may I might have a pick when when the game comes, but like I'm repetitive with that I'm just excited and stoked to watch another supreme football game and we are blessed for that. I was going to make the exact same point. Big of an T-bub. I felt you guys kind of made it seem like Indiana beat Organ more thoroughly than they did. I just remember that game being a lot closer. I went and looked, you know, Indiana had the pick six. Dante more through two picks in that game as well. And I'm not sure how many times Dante Morse got through two picks. But that being said, that game already happened. I also had a weird thought and I'm just going to ask a question. It's a weird thought. What organ and Indiana to elite elite teams. Indiana had it looks like the best team all season long. Then there's unquestion. Iowa could have beat them both. And Penn State could have beat them both. Why? Why? Penn State lost the organ in double over time. Fernando Mendoza and the offense had to turn into heroes to beat Penn State. They both did the same thing in Iowa. Isn't that weird? It's just a good defense. They both played good defense against them. I think, yeah, I mean that's definitely it. They played their best game. They got up. They locked in. Organ was a really good team. Organ was on the verge of being like a playoff team kind of an elite team when you look at many of the close results. But really that's kind of what I'm always yelling about though when I'm saying let's play the football game, right? Because the other element in there is you just don't fucking know what's going to happen. When you line up and you have 22 young men on the field at any given time, like the amount of variables or such. That's why all of football, the greatest coaches, greatest quality is creating consistency out of the chaos is getting all the disparate elements to consistently execute. And some days you don't have it. And the great team find a way to win when they have those days. The point I was going to make is maybe we really, really underestimated the strength of the Big 10. If you look at Organ, if you look at Organ did to Texas Tech, which that game could have been 90 to nothing. If you look at what Indiana did to Alabama. And then you consider both these elite, elite, elite, elite teams had big time scares against some middle, well, I was the top top of the middle and Penn State was just solidly middle to the back. But like, I don't know. Anyway, this game and this game, I'm sorry, did, did Pindley Clinton write? And then Iowa ended up being Vandy. But I was going to say you look at some of the ball games where there was no like the, the Iowa Vandy game. There wasn't the hours did opt out for Vandy, but like there was not a lot in some of these games. And they still were like big decisive big 10 wins. I mean, Illinois had like their three like best defenders out in and beat Tennessee like they were just another middle of the pack team as well. Like I think these teams showed well. I think I think the big 10 I grew was better in the middle than was given credit for. Agreed. Throughout the season, I believe the Big 10 was probably the best conference at the top. But then there was a big drop off. I think real, I think we're now learning there was not a big drop off. Well, and also when you look at Penn State too, and I mean, obviously they fell completely off the rails with all the James Franklin stuff, but they still have all that talent too. And so like when they did play those teams close, like they still have NFL talent all over the field and outside of Michigan losing the Texas. And again, like the Sherone more stuff just through that team into a complete tailspin. So you can put that out. The big 10 has proven that it was a much better conference top to bottom this year than the SEC. Well, that that team was better off with us. You're on more, um, brand, I figured I figured I'm sorry. Go ahead. Yeah. Go ahead. Uh, I figured out maybe a couple key things to watch during this game that are different statistically between these teams because they both rank very high everywhere pretty much. However, Greg Olson has talked about this on web. Modern defensive football is we don't care as much what you do between the 20s. All football comes down to red zone success. Indiana, the number one team in the entire country when it comes to opponent red zone touchdown percentages. We saw this play out in the Ohio state game. Was it have one of four end in the end in that game? Yeah. Uh, well, that's right in keeping with their 26% rate the entire season. Oregon, very surprisingly, 112. If you get into the red zone, uh, you are managing to score touchdowns far more of not also Indiana, again, fifth and sex, first and tiffles. Oregon, uh, I'll find exactly where they rank here, and Oregon, a 48th in sacks, only 29 on the entire year. And let's see, uh, let's do a little control. Uh, 90, no wait, 65th in TFL. So, so, so, a couple of key differences there. I have to stop. And that was a good point. I was all I don't want to put food. What you just said, I appreciate all that. I just want to talk to the one guy in chat right now. And I would like to address a larger point that's being made on my Twitter and people are DMMA and they're saying these things. Chauncey 601, which 601 is the area code for South Mississippi. Uh, so he says, Hottie, Toddie, which he believes in nursery rhymes, apparently, we could use your support as a fellow Mississippi. And you know what this does for the state. Oh, my God. Come on, Brandon. The state man for the state. This idea that Ole Miss fans and other fans are selling them. Come on, man. Roof for us. It's good for the state of Mississippi. Um, no, the fuck it's not. It's good for Ole Miss. And that's enough for you guys. It's good for Mississippi. It's good for you guys. If you went to the national championship, my God, weren't a accomplishment. It was incredible. But don't, don't look at me and be like, Hey, man, if we win, it's good for you. No, the fuck it isn't. Look at, I want my team to win. My team is down bad right now. You guys are kicking our ass.
I'm looking up at some jealous of what you guys are doing, but I'm not gonna lie to you, and I'm not gonna say, hey guys, you're kicking our ass, but go get 'em, fuck that, this is where rivals, where arch rivals, I'm not gonna, if you win the national title, if you beat Miami, I'm going to be the first to stand up and say, wow, what an accomplishment, it is incredible, it's awesome, you guys did it, good for you, not good for us, that's a lie. And that's what arch rivaled him is, Big F didn't get a gold star when Michigan won the national title a couple of years ago, Michigan didn't like, ladies of enter and Detroit when Ohio State won last year, so shut up. - Brandon, this is what you just did, and I just texted one of my friends from college, because around Thanksgiving, I got a text from one of my girlfriends, her name is Morgan, she's just as spicy as me, if not more, 'cause she was sitting at a table with a guy who went to Texas State who said that the only state that he knows where you root against the other team is Texas, he did not understand why Aggies would not want Texas fans, he was like, 'cause Brandon would want all missed to be happy, and I was like, are you crazy? And I like literally went down the list, I was like, let's just take just in state, I was like, I'm just gonna take the people I know, you would catch Dave dead before he would say Michigan State, it's good for the state of Michigan, you would catch it if Florida State fans being happy for Florida, or Miami, get the fuck out of here, and this guy could not wrap his head around, and he was like, well, we should root for our state if your team is out of it. I was like, you're not a true college football fan, then, I don't know what to tell you. - All right, so I'm gonna crew like conference values to state values. - Like what is it? - There's a difference, there's a difference in respecting and acknowledging their incredible run and rooting for it to happen. Do you think South Carolina fans were high-fiving each other in church when Clemson was winning national titles? Do you think all of our fans get together in Opalika being like, man, we suck, but Alabama's out there doing it, man? No, that's not how it works. This is, why would you want, if I were in a house, why would I want my neighbor to get a bigger and better house right beside me? I don't want that to happen. I want the bigger house. It's crazy, and again, maybe it was just 'cause this guy lived in some weird Texas state bubble, like the school Texas state. But I even brought up like, can you imagine like, Metz fans being excited at the New York Yankees one because they live in the same city? Like that just doesn't happen. It just doesn't happen. So thank you for making that point. - This moron still, follow, this moron still talking 'cause it's Mississippi brand and you're from here. Yeah, and 46 of my years, I've loved Mississippi state. And I've not liked Ole Miss, I'm not gonna switch now. They're not gonna do something like, we're not gonna get a big influx of cash in Mississippi. Our problems aren't gonna go away 'cause Ole Miss won an national title. That's not what this is gonna, just ridiculous. - And also, what does it do for the state other than like, if you're a Mississippi state fan and Ole Miss wins a national title, it's taking your recruits away. More people want to go to where a national title was won. I don't understand this thought process at all. - Okay, and they're kicking our ass, but I'm not gonna root for it to happen. Yes. - I was just gonna say, it didn't do good for Mississippi when East Mississippi Community College won it all in 2018. That didn't help the state in anywhere. You came here, you didn't, you were getting spanned. - Shut up, but I'm happy when the Stanford Cisco Giants won the World Series. Are you kidding me? This guy's got a phenomenal point. You guys are neglecting it and throwing it away. - Well, they don't play Mississippi state, Liam. That's the difference. - I would say that, I've been very professional in my breakdown of this game. I fucking hate Ole Miss and everything that they stand for. They are puffed up, soft, chat and Brad, khaki wearing, trumped up, fucking soft pussy boys. And I hope every one of them is drunk and crying and throwing a fit and their Birkenstocks get scuffed and they're throwing their drinks at people 'cause they're spoiled little children and don't know shit about shit. I fucking won Ole Miss, I cannot have Ole Miss ever getting a football national championship ever. And the one thing that I'm taking solace in is this is the closest they'll ever get at. This is the closest they'll ever get and their fucking hearts about to break and all their dreams are gonna evaporate in front of them. - Yeah, that meant see. - Mincey won't be tronkels, be on nexusy. - Yeah, he's got for sure. - Yeah, I just wanted to give Brandon a minute if we wanted to pause so he can go change his underwear real quick and he might as well just be back like. - Yeah, but the problem is I hated the imagery of that soliloquy being delivered about Ole Miss and it wasn't coming out of my mouth. That's the only thing I hate. - You said it pretty well. I know LSU doesn't ever go rival. Nobody wants us to be their main rival like for me and for a lot of LSU vans, it's always been Ole Miss. Fuck them. - All right, I gotta read this. I'll tell you about. So this is how we're gonna do this. And I'm just gonna go. - Hi, Roughnecks, we'll be right back after this word from our sponsor. - Football seasons here and whether you're grinding your way through the week or gearing up for kickoff, there's one ride that's always game ready. The Chevy Silverado. There's a reason Chevy is called the heartbeat of America and Silverado keeps that heartbeat strong, whether you're towing, hauling, or tailgating. Silverado lets you show up strong and tackle any task. With best in class standard torque, the most functional bed and the advanced tech that's football guy approved. Check out offers on the 2026 Silverado at chevy.com. - And now back to the episode. - And the Cracker Barrel game of the week. Big F is, I think it's gotta be Miami Ole Miss. There's to me, there's something special when two teams that just, you never see these two teams get on the same field together. Ever. Can never remember seeing that. And I think about him and Liam the brought it up. Phenomenal uniform matchup, those crispy whites versus the powder blues of Ole Miss. And it's just this incredible defensive force versus heroic, just put the team my back, quarterback. Everything you think that a human being cannot do. He just does it. One of the greatest games, my quarterback, I feel like I've ever seen on the quarter final. And I think that's gonna most excited to see those two things clash on the field. - To you Bob, the Cracker Barrel game of the week is. - Yeah, I'm with that. Like, I think objectively pure quality of football team, Oregon, Indiana's a premiere matchup, probably pure quality of coach too. And they have good storylines. Like, I don't wanna poo the Indiana storyline. It is testament to their dawn, but then so that how it kind of accepted it's come. But yeah, that's what I've said, man, it's the novelty. It's the nostalgia as well. Like I said last game, if you're watching that Miami defense run around and hit like it. It's like nostalgia budding up again, something completely brand new. And suddenly Ole Miss actually being on this stage. I love chambles' story. Even Carson Peck, a guy that I talked a lot of shit about. Excuse me, I shouldn't have cursed him in this. That I talked a lot of crap about. Before the season and really consistently doubted throughout his entire career. I love when a player, a man who whatever he hears all that negative noise and can overcome it. And he's done a great job of that. So yeah, most quality football teams, probably Indiana, Oregon, but I'm more excited to lock into Miami Ole Miss. Casey, the crack in real game of the week is? Well, T-Bob just used the word that is why I'm also picking the Ole Miss Miami. I'm more excited about that game. Like Indiana, what, why are you looking at me? I'm shocked the way this vote's called. No, so Indiana, Oregon is the better football game, in my opinion. We've already seen them play. We know that they're the two heavyweights. I think that whoever wins that game. And I think it's going to be Indiana is probably going to win the national title. But from a pure college football standpoint. And from all the stories and what makes college football different, and that Fernando Mendoza is also in that. Don't get me wrong. But what's going on with Ole Miss in Miami and the lane stuff and Pete Golding and these players are deciding to stay in Oxford. I think that if Ole Miss, they would have never lost a two lane. But let's say they had to play Miami the first round. I think that these players might have ended up in Baton Rouge. But now they've made it far enough. And they're like, hey, we're going to stay here. We're building this. I truly believe that if they would have lost in Round 1, that there would have been a mass exodus of a lot of those guys to Baton Rouge. Now they're sitting there like, oh my god, we could be playing for a national title. That is what makes college football so much better than the NFL and everything else. And that's why I'm more excited about that game. And Brandon, you do play into that for me as well. Because I love you. You are my big brother. You're one of my closest friends. Watching you watch this game is also part of my excitement. Liam, the Cracker Barrel game of the week is? I'm going with Indiana, Oregon, in DuPart because the rest have gone the other direction. And I've spoke to how near it is that Miami and Ole Miss are playing. Looking at right now, they played in 1936 and 1940, which Ole Miss won. And Miami has had a long, long winning streak of one game dating back to 1951. Those two teams legitimately have not played on the same football field in our lifetime. I'll go Indiana, Oregon, and I'll highlight--
We have the likely number one and number two picks playing on the same field for one final time in a winner go home a winner go to the national championship game. That is so cool. And this is a chance for Fernando Mendoza to assert himself as QB1 is the number one player in the upcoming draft and Dante more to say, hey, wait. Let me get that invite to the party. Let me get that invite to Las Vegas. I want to be a rater. So that that's a nice little storyline that we've also. Got going. Dan landing. This is a guy that people have commented about has not been able to truly capture the big game. This is a massive opportunity for him. The funny to say slag a giant in Indiana. Put an end to signities to signeties. Incredible to your stretch of Indiana thus far. Yeah, it's got to be that game. Elijah Hardy, the angel of ponds. Waffle House is always open. Use looker. I probably shouldn't set a restaurant when referring to Elijah Sirad during the segment. It's got to be this game. It's got to be and we'll see how working could stuff the run. Brandon, who do you pick? Also, just while you're chewing your food right now. I don't know if you guys have seen this or if there's a new updates like business now tweeting that he doesn't need a ticket because mincey misunderstood. And apparently the tickets were $700 each that he thought he got for free. So now. I've heard enough. I've heard enough of messy for one day. Well, business now saying he'll sub his ticket for a five minute FaceTime call with Lane Kiffin. So I just sent it to Lane. Maybe to set that up. So I don't know. I don't know what. By the way, men's can't do that. But I did it for this. I just know what I'm saying is what I'm saying is if business saying mincey, you don't have to get me tickets. You just give me a FaceTime or Lane Kiffin, men's can't pull that off. What a piece he doesn't know that I'm functionally he did. No, no, no, no, hold on. I'm sure this for this cracker. Barrel game of the week is I can't believe two of you actually said the words. Yeah, I know Indiana Oregon's the better game, but I'm picking all mess in Miami. I'm more excited for the storyline sucker. Right Indiana Oregon's the better game. Indiana Oregon is like these are the two best teams remaining. Now three and four could very well win the national title. This is not a big gap, but Indiana's the best team in college football right now and Oregon's probably best suited to beat him out of anybody. If Indiana's about to finish this race and and when this national title after after 100 years of being the worst team in college, well, that they're about to finish this race. This is the toughest team they got to go for. Yeah, and and and and I think it's right here right now. I think the winner of the national championship is the winner of that game. And that's why I believe that is the cracker. Barrel game of the week. I agree with you and I said that as well, but you keep watching you on Thursday night is going to be just as exciting as a game in my opinion. I'm actually not streaming it. I'm not going. Are you really not? Yeah, I'm actually I'm since Ole Miss reached the national title, the semifinals. I'm actually quitting. I'm quitting the job. You can now find my new ringer podcast. Walk into the movies with Brandon Walker. Yeah, I think I think big bills going to stop by some. No, whatever. Yeah, I was I was looking for some old photos in my phone and I had to go back a few years and I somehow landed on the Thanksgiving stream where it was just me.
