I decided the game order we were going to go in were the teams that impressed me the most. And we had four playoff games. And I think all four winners in their own way were remarkably and almost transcendently impressive. But I'd be remiss. I'd be stupid. I'd be an idiot if I didn't start with the game that was the best game of this round. It was the best game of this playoff that was the best game we've seen in a while. And it is my art rival, the Ole Miss Rebels winning the Sugar Bowl, beating Georgia and advancing to the College Football Playoff semi-finals. I put aside my petty hatred and my lifelong disdain for everything that is at school. And you've got to call a spade of spade and you've got to be realistic here. This team, this program just stared down Kirby, smart and Georgia in a playoff. That's hard to do. By the way, we're brought to you by Twisted T. And just the way that these two teams played in October, you kind of had a sense that something could happen like this, but the fact that it came down, the way the game ended alone was just an absolute shit show. It was a clown show. Different coaching decisions, Kirby's fake punt, the way Trinidad Shamblist played. There's so many different ways you can look at this game, but that type of game, especially knowing that these two teams played such a good game earlier in the season, is why the playoff was created to love the way that we do. That was fucking awesome from start to finish. T-Bob, you know, you got their coach, or the most out of focus man I've ever seen in my life. Give me some focus on this game, though. Yeah, look, I, so we'll talk like as right as I was about Indiana, I could not have been more wrong about this Ole Miss George again. I consistently said throughout the entire of the week that Ole Miss was dead in the water towards a figure to me out in the second half. They don't have their head coach and, and it looked like it, like that's what we, that's what can't get lost here, right? There was nothing fluky about this Ole Miss win. It wasn't like they jumped out to an early lead and then we're kind of holding on for dear life. No, the complete opposite happened. It looked like Georgia was in complete control. They in or half up big, it felt like, okay, Georgia's about to run away with this thing. What did this Ole Miss team do? They stood up and beat down one of if not the best second half team in the entire country for 30 minutes straight and they even overcame the unbelievable Miss face mask to overcome a pass interference that you could argue was questionable. Like it was a just really balls to the wall, tough performance from Ole Miss and it all starts with Trinidad Jamblis. The guy is the ultimate gamer. He set it in his post game. He just absolutely stood on his head tonight. So if you're a Rebel fan, man, bask in this, enjoy this because you earned every single bit of the emotion that you are feeling tonight. Big F, and by the way, Chad, I see you saying it already, big F is going to have his time to talk about the Ohio State game or whatever the fuck that was. We're not going to judge Big F for being an online bitch and retweeting himself saying that, oh, you said I was going to semifinal because we're paid to predict things and sometimes we're wrong and by the way, fuck you. Great game by Ole Miss. Yeah, I mean, no, unbelievable game. It was game of the year. That's the game of the year with a stamp on it. Any other template? Some of the plays that he made and the second he had to have just unbelievable. I mean, you want to talk about a guy putting the team on his back. Like that was it right there. I mean, unbelievable. It was one of those where you watched that and you're like, how was that guy? Not at the Heisman ceremony. Where was that guy? Because he really, he did that all year. And a weird thing. I just wanted to get this out because it's been on my mind. It's crazy. Obviously, Simmons starts the earth as a starter. He gave Lane some credit because this is the second in a row where he had a guy the year before he had Jackson Dart. He brought in Spencer Sanders, not that he needed him. But this has kind of been his emote like, hey, have that second guy just in case. And I mean, look at where it got him now. I mean, another 500,000 dollar check. They're in the final four. Obviously, he's not there, but it was just something I wanted to bring up. But I mean, just unbelievable. Look at this kid. I mean, he was playing Division 2 last year. A complete afterthought. We're talking about maybe he's going to get to come do some packages, some running plays. And here he is, like arguably the best player in the country. Unbelievable. College football's unbelievable. Yeah. Now I listen, he's a guy and this is 100%. It'll tonight Pete, you old and coach that team. But tonight was an example of how good a coach Lane Kiffin is. Because nobody in the world was going to fair state and getting this guy. Nobody, nobody, nobody. I had this guy on their radar. Nobody and he plucked him and he groomed him. And he played him and then bam, the whole world opens up. And this is not the, this is just a remarkable story. It seems like a remarkable guy. Blutman, as mad as I want to be, I can't even muster myself being very mad right now because I just again go clapped to him. Well, you also hate Georgia. We just watch it. Time, time, time, Blutman, you're going to get your tent chance to talk. What the fuck are you talking about? I mean, you do hate Georgia too. What do you mean time? I'm in time right now. Yeah. Blutman, we finally, we watched the maculate college football playoff game in this format that brought tears to some of our eyes. That was unbelievable from start to finish and true college football fashion. There was excellence in goofiness on display for a 60 minute period. I mean, heck, a few seconds extra if we want to do extra time like soccer. The stage was out there, not once, but twice with the end of games shenanigans. The ice from the Gatorade bath was all over the field. That was a bit of a lisp. Trin that chambles was genuinely Superman today. The drive that he has three back-to-back-to-back game-changing, game-breaking, unbelievable place that he just plucks out in there and like yeah, Evan's right. He should have been talked about and discussed about more as a Heisman favor. You have Q on Lacey who is doing the BTA multiple times, even when they're losing. There was a certain swagger in confidence that Ole Miss exuded tonight that Georgia really didn't match and I think we saw a major coaching mistake at the end of the game there when Georgia has the ball on third and goal and they're calling the pass play. I get you an extent, but if you call the run, you salt away all the time. Ole Miss can't stop the clock and you are guaranteeing yourself for overtime. I didn't understand that from smart. I think Bobo called another future game. Well, Bobo was terrible. He's predictable. He's old-fashioned. I will say on that last throw. You got to start to throw it the wrong guy. The receiver slamming in from the other from the left side got open in the back of the end zone. He threw it to the wrong guy, threw it to the tight end. He was going to throw it to the tight end the whole time, but you're exactly right. I thought it in the moment. If they run the ball, even if they get stopped right there, there go 40 seconds. You tied the game. You're going to overtime. You take your chances. As soon as you give Trinidad-Chambus the ball back with 56 seconds, the game's over and they got him to 3rd and 5, and then he makes, they blitz him. He sees it. Seas one on one. Drops it in the fucking bucket. This is one of the best calls from our quarterbacks we've seen a long time. I feel like I did a poor job this year giving him the credit he deserves because, along with everybody, he just single handily pretty much won a playoff game over the Georgia Bulldogs. Now, again, Bobo for Georgia is fucking terrible offensive coordinator. Almost all their plays. Oh, miss was scheming open plays. Almost all the Georgia plays that were successful were great individual efforts. So I just, I hate it. I hate that we're sitting here doing this. I don't like it, but whatever. Well, it is crazy when you look at the end of the game like that. Like, if you would have said, you know, and obviously we know how good Trinidad and Chambles has been all year, but I think again, everybody sitting here watching is like, has Kirby smart and this staff not watched how he's played all night? How do you give him the ball back with almost a minute left knowing how easy it's been for him to go up and down the field? And obviously he's the number one guy, but like he won Lacey too. He had an unbelievable night. Just everything that they did offensively was just so good. And I know that the big stories can be like, well, Lane's not there. He's at LSU. He's holding hands with Kim Mulkey walking in a basketball game tonight. Like it's all whatever, but like this staff, they then being there has made the biggest difference. And that's why Ole Miss letting them come back to coach is why it was so important because you're seeing this team really believe in everything they had with or without Lane. I think y'all are right on the third and goal call if you're playing for overtime, but if you're playing for the win, what they did makes sense, right? You go for the win and then Ole Miss has no time out, so they have to go score a touchdown and they probably aren't able to get that done. But the third and five call is also interesting to me playing the press coverage, but I don't even mean that as a criticism against the decordinator. I mean, I get it. You're Georgia. You got dogs. You want to trust your dogs. I'm more highlighted in just again, the playmaking ability and the balls of Shameless. And I apologize. I can't remember who caught my brains right. I can't remember who caught the ball. It was tripling on the final play, but like just the I love seeing guys everything on the line got to have a play right read is made. It's one V fucking one with all your life's work on the line and you go and you make the play. Like that shit excites me. That's the most fun part about sports. So what a job by those two and then what a job by Canaro. Fucking Lucas Canaro. Are you kidding me? Three field goals, two of the longest in his own career and insurable history and then knocks down the game winner like it was nothing. Again, heroic efforts all over the field in this game tonight. We now have a final four that has no Ohio state. No Alabama. No Georgia. It has Ole Miss Miami, Oregon, and the Indiana Hoosers. Putting aside how pissed off I am that Ole Miss is there. A pretty phenomenal a phenomenal turn of events for the final four or the final four to produce these four all feel like new money. I mean Oregon's been at two national titles in last 15 years, but they never won one. Miami hasn't been in this spot in 23 years. Ole Miss has never won a national title and then Indiana has also never won a national title. So like here we are. If you wanted something new and exciting and different, the NIL, the transfer portal and the playoff have all combined to now give us this incredible world. And I realize I'm saying that with the Ohio State fans sitting right there big of if you if you could put that aside for a second, it's a pretty good turn of events for college football. Yeah, I mean it definitely shuts up all the people that I got. It's always the same teams like Cooley not. I mean this the formats change everything NIL's change everything. It's even the playing field completely. You're seeing teams like Ole Miss spend some money in the end and maybe not spend as much money but be very smart with their money. I mean make the right choices. Men do is a like phenomenal pick. Obviously to leave the team and just a great culture than Miami as well. Miami spent them. I mean it was all mocked about Carson Beck for a million dollars blah blah blah. They needed that he's a veteran. Whatever you think about Carson Beck and maybe he hasn't been the reason specifically that they've won these games. But I mean I thought he played an incredibly smart tough game against us. I mean he picked the first downs with his legs when he needed it. He got the ball out fast and kind of took away our rush. So I mean clearly I mean it's open the playing field wide open like it's and even it's it's ironically you look at a lane where he left kind of because he didn't think he'd win a national title and he was here his own team is on the doorstep of doing it without him. Well and that's I was gonna ask you Brandon because I mean obviously we've had this conversation throughout you know the last couple of years and even this year when you looked at you know Kurt Zignetti not going to Penn State and Lane making the decision to go to LSU like this is now proving because we are gonna have a new national champion team. This is now proving that you don't have to go to one of those blue blood quote names one of those brand names to win a national title because now you have these four teams and yes Miami has had their heyday there's no doubt organs been there but you're looking at Indiana and Ole Miss in the final four and a couple months ago everyone's like well Lane can't win it Ole Miss Kurt Zignetti can't win it Indiana and they're now in the final four and that's why I've said along the way it's like it's not like it used to be you don't have to go to these brand name schools to win a national title and we're like seeing it physically play out in the same year we have those conversations. They have the Heisman trophy winning quarterback. Uh, they have NFL skill guys and all the skill, but it's like like the only group that I think of as plucky and that I can't fully understand how good they are is the undersized defensive line. Because like I, I still don't know how they're so deadly effective, so consistently in every phase of the game where they appear smaller than the defense, but it's like, I guess my point is you combine all of that talent with a, the just highest functioning, executing team, one of the highest that I've ever seen. And what you saw at Indiana today isn't the exception. It's been the rule this year. I mean, outside of the blip against Penn State and really I'm not even going to hold them to the Iowa fire as much outside of the game against Penn State when they had the incredible drive. This is who they have been for the better part of two years now at this point. And it's just, it's, it's another, uh, just massive credit to Kurt Signetti and his ability to win and, and, and to his, uh, credit, this is who he has been as a head coach Brandon on every single level of football that he's been a head coach at. All he has done is win. So shout out to Indiana. Um, this is a very flawed under performer and under executing Alabama team Indiana perfectly suited to exploiting them. Look, you cannot be one dimensional and go against the team of Indiana's caliber. And that's what Alabama is. They could not run the ball all year long and it bit them in the ass again today. I mean, you, you say that and that's fine. I, they dominate them in every single facet of the game. Like running, throwing to what did defense and like every single part of Indiana. I guess, I guess what I'm saying is like when you have a team like Indiana that's already so incredible and then you provide, it's like serving up meat to a lion when they have a team that is easy to manipulate because they, they're so, because they only do this one thing well. Like that's so easy for Indiana to beat. Yes, sir, thoughts on Indiana? Oh, I didn't know you, you act like you were going to have a question. You act like you're going to have a question. Uh, no, I mean, this, you, you said it perfectly. They play a perfect game from start to finish. And this is, you know, and it is one of those things where you look at Fernando Mendoza and it's like, yeah, he's a Heisman trophy winner and then you see all year going into it. It was like, well, this isn't really a great Heisman trophy class. Like, yeah, he's the winner. They won the big 10. They beat Ohio State and the big 10 championship. Let's give it to him. This guy is nails. Like everything about this team after they beat Ohio State and the big 10 championships. Like, well, they celebrated a little too much. They've not been battle tested. They haven't had the loss. I've been punching them out. And they just come out and then now they are, they, they broke the spell of being the first team with a buy to actually get a win. And I know it's only been two years. But just everything about this Indiana team is playing out perfectly. And to see how quickly Kurt Signetti has done this, it just makes sense because everything he did from last year to this year, all the criticism they got with the scheduling, which was fair last year. He went out and got the guys he needed to. And then you watch Fernando Mendoza play. It's like, I don't know how anybody that's not playing him could hate watching him play. He's unbelievable. And he's just so disciplined. And then he has the great interviews. It's just really hard to hate this Indiana team at all. And you have to give all credit in the world to Kurt Signetti because that's what he's built at Indiana in two short years. Big out there from your conference. And now they look, uh, it's just unbelievable what they've done. It's unbelievable. I mean, no, the other team to be, I mean, they just don't have a flaw. Like they don't have a hole that you can pick on. And I think all the other teams do like, I mean, Ohio State, you saw they got exposed the offensive line at struggles. I mean, saying there's a young young inexperienced quarterback who's rattled like they're just so good and ever. I mean, they block well. They tackle well. Like they get out to the passer. They have elite wide receivers. They have an elite tough quarterback that can run a little bit too. Like they just have everything. I mean, they have the best coach in the country. Like they just check every single box. Um, and I think you saw the team like Alabama, like they had never seen a defense like that, even close all year because obviously this and the offense look great. They went up and down the field. And I'm obviously they scored a million points. But it was just the way they just suffocated them. And I mean, they couldn't, they couldn't do anything. Like they had never seen a defense like that all year. They not only check every box. Big out. They check every box on every play. Well, like they, they, they're never in longer than like third and three. Third, Amanda said, they block well, right? It's not just that they block well. The running backs always pick the right hole. The, the, the hole might be six inches wide. They always get through it. If the play is designed to go into this one specific gap, that's where the fuck it is going. And it's going to work. Mendoza, if it's third and four, he's either going to roll out, throw a perfect pass to a receiver or he's going to pick it up with his feet. And then at the end of the game, you want to say, say, that he has an unlikeable edge to him, but that's what put him in the spot. But then they put the mic in front of this motherfucking quarterback. Anyway, uh, I wait, hold on, Brandon, you're, you're my cutoff. You're my cutoff. Um, nope. You're so muted. I don't know how you did that. I love, I love every time for Daniel Mendoza doesn't interview. I know people talk shit about him at the Heisman ceremony. I thought that was incredible. Like he's just, I love Christmas. Yeah, I mean, we'll get to the high of stake as I don't think I've ever been more wrong about anything in my life than them. But I don't think I've ever regretted anything more in my life than I don't know if bailing is the right term to use. But being so in on Indiana last year and then not rolling right back with them, thinking that they could contend for a national championship last year and not believing in them from the jump this year. I've had so many thoughts about today. Just second guessing things and like that's brutal. But you guys hit the nail on the head. When you watch this team, they are, they're like Brandon Walker playing NCAA football and freshman mode. They are so attentive to detail. And they are so precise in every single facet of the sport. Brandon Walker, when you're hyping up your virtual players, nobody does a better job at pre-gaming than you, except for Kurt Signetti. When you're making reads pre snap, nobody does a better job of you in the RPO game than Fernando Mendoza. They are exceptional in everything. They, how many times see Bob Diaz go to you? I was like, you, you see that blocking on that all day. They don't miss any. It's unbelievable. They, you guys talk about defense. They swarmed. They gained tackle. They gained tackles so well. It's like tackles. They don't miss tackles. They don't drop footballs. They, they don't miss blocks. They don't miss gaps in the running game. Like, it's unbelievable. May I interject here for one second just because you're setting this up so perfectly? You're right. They don't do any of those things. They don't miss assignments. They don't do anything to get you beat. You're exactly right. You know who does? And you know who didn't? Alabama used to not do those things either. Alabama used to have the attention to detail. And now, Alabama's missing tackles. Alabama's getting their ass blocked. They're soft. Alabama. Alabama has turned into a soft and the attention to detail detail is gone. They are a, that was a joke. You can lose to Indiana. That's fine. There's no shame in that. It's great. Being that took less in that dominated, like they, they fell behind 17 of the Oklahoma and caught up when they fell behind 17, nothing and went to the locker room today. They just fucking quit and something happened to Ty Simpson in about middle of October. Yeah. And I don't know what happened, but he has not been the same sense. He was flat out awful today. Your legs are spread open like did you not get a draft on your ass? When I tell you I could feel the blood drain from my face when I reached my fingers down and filled skin to skin. I mean that was a terrifying moment. Truly terrifying moment. All right. Whatever. I'm I'm taking Bob now. It's okay. It's okay. It is what is you know we we make our bags. We have to lie to them. Big evidence time. It is time. Last night the Miami Hurricanes go on the road. Not on the road. But Miami Hurricanes uh face the Ohio State Buck guys and nine and a half point dogs. Miami takes control from the start. It's after a 14 nothing lead ends up holding on at the end uh wins by 10 points physically up front dominating Ohio State to a level. I'm not sure anybody on this show and maybe any other show in the country thought they could do. Um Miami barely got this playoff. They were the last team in this playoff. Now they're in the final four after ending the reign of the defending national champions. This show has an Ohio State Superfan. His name is Big F and he will talk now. Um I mean yeah it was embarrassing. It was embarrassing. I think the biggest uh surprise to me. I mean it definitely wasn't there defensive line playing well. Um I think to me honestly it was day having the team so under prepared because I think that's one thing I've given him credit in the past when he said extra time. They haven't lost these playoff games due to lack of preparation and this was the first time I think that genuinely happened. They weren't ready for it. Like even immediately like first drive they are left side is much much stronger than our right side. They immediately we have a new starter on the right side at guard. They immediately tacked the right side. They got they have us in hell. Um I mean saying was rattled instantly um it took them a while to get out of that and now I don't even even he got a little bit of rhythm in the second half but he still never fully got comfortable. The I mean the defense overall played well obviously listen we needed to one stop at the end of the game. They couldn't get it but I don't I feel a little uh we are putting the blame on them because the offense was the blame. 14 points is not enough. It's just simply not enough. When you have a Jeremiah Smith carnel tay on your offense even a max Claire incredible talented tie then like when you have guys like that on the outside you can only score 14 points. That's that's a disaster and it was because they neglected things like the offensive line. They didn't invest as much they need to in that. Um I don't know if we're not blaming it on the kicker but the kicker definitely didn't help anything. The fact that we just don't have just I've not had a company kicker for years. It's a massive problem. It's cost us national titles and uh deeper runs um no it's embarrassing. I mean they just have played us like they there was nothing really to say like it some other ones have had in the past last few years it's felt worse because it was like we should have won that game and listen you can argue like they had they had opportunities in the second half they had the ball down three like they could have went and won the game um and they just didn't they just couldn't get it done uh couldn't block well enough um yeah and saying was rattled and I think also a big thing hit saying being zero threat like a total non-factor with his legs I think it's becoming it became a problem and it was a glaring hole that hadn't really come up um and you saw Carson back to it do it to us who's not a runner but they said hey when you when you need to go run up and get three four yards to go pick up a first down go do it saying just as completely incapable of that I think in college that that is a problem like you see Mendoza even though it's great of throwers years he can go pick up a first down shambles this electric uh like you said he saw back to it um don't say more obviously can do it and I think it's it was a massive massive problem him being so young um it's such a gifted thrower that I think it was something we overlooked and even I think even kind of took for granted I like Will Howard who was super veteran could you could design run for him maybe he isn't the prolific arm talent uh that Julian Sayon is but he's a fucking gamer he's a dog yeah and I think we missed that I think we missed that as a leader of our team like you've got like Caleb Caleb Downs was an incredible leader but I think we missed that uh immensely at quarterback not having a guy like that you really could rally around um and yeah they just kicked our ass so might I be there they were just better yesterday they were better it's funny you say that because like in this job we we all do a lot of shows right and we all talk about these games multiple times a multiple different shows and so you're constantly kind of evolving your your your ideas in the game and I don't think we talk about this in the pod but yesterday or Wednesday we're doing what and me and Brandon talking and that's the exact question that something popped into my head like did we like are we just taking it for granted the Julian Sayon's going to be able to do what Will Howard did in one of the most legendary playoff runs we've ever seen when Howard had the legs and he had the experience saying does not and and and he couldn't and again Sayon's put in a tough spot there because anytime how do you beat any elite quarterback throughout football history consistent four man pass rush like anybody would have struggled with what Ruben Bain was doing to that offensive line it's just that when combined with what you were saying Sayon's youth and lack of legs well then you're just dead in the water and and it's it this is a high state offense that three times played elite defenses and in those three opportunities did not look like the offense that they did every other week of the season. Yeah I mean to me the shocking part was how immediate the domination was like they they ended up leading 14 nothing after the pick six but you could just tell that front of Miami with Ruben Bain and Mesodora like they were just so fucking locked in from the very beginning and Julian saying I'm just going to say it I think I did a poor job of realizing Ohio State started this season with a 14-point effort against Texas. They ended it with a 10-point effort against Indiana. They didn't play any defenses in between. They just didn't. There was a big gap. And I should have noticed, we also noticed that when the good defenses showed up, they had problems. And Miami had a fucking great defense. And they look fantastic. Carson Beck, Fletcher, I like more, CJ Daniels was good, like they got enough playmakers on offense. They can win the national title, in fact, I don't think I've ever thought this, but I think of the four teams left. I think I can see all four winning the national title. I would favor Indiana. I think the coaching in quarterback is elite. Miami's got that defensive line. Ole Miss has something magic about it. And then Oregon is just like a mixture of all of them. It's just, it's a phenomenal, phenomenal final four, KC, and back to Miami, KC, sorry, I got that off. No, no, I mean, you're absolutely right, because I think, did anybody pick Indiana? I think you did, right? T-Bob, he picked Indiana to win. I think the rest of us have all lost our national champion, right? I had Ohio State winning the national title, yes. I just had them in the title game. Yeah, so I mean, like, you look at that, and I mean, it's like, it is crazy to think, but when you look at this Miami team, and I mean, I said that they were going to lose 35 to 10 after what I saw in Round 1, up close and personal at Kyle Field. I thought there was no way this Miami team could hang with Ohio State, and that's also a credit to, and, you know, I was throwing shit around on Twitter last night, but it's, and Brandon, I know you were getting in the mix as well, but it is why it is so dangerous when you look at different conferences, and you say, this team is, quote, fraudulent, and another team in a different conference is doing the exact same thing, and you're not throwing that out either, because it's like, well, these super conferences are really making this a difficult situation. But the way that Miami's offense came out last night, and I know when it wasn't a factor at AT&T Stadium, and that is a big thing, but this offense looks completely different than they did in Round 1. They immediately started running the ball. Carson Beck looks phenomenal. Carson Beck was terrible against A&M, and the fact that they were able to push that all together against Ohio State, who, you know, obviously, until they beat in, or until they lost Indiana, people said there was no way they could even lose to anybody. Miami is a problem, and when you go back and look at those two games, they did lose in the regular season. It's all because Carson Beck, not completely his fault, but it is all the turnovers he had. If he protects the ball, then they keep him upright. They're incredibly dangerous, and they just put it together a game from start to finish. That is absolutely horrifying for the other teams in the playoffs, but I was shocked at how bad Ohio State played yesterday. Like, it was just, it was appalling to me. Uh, yeah, here's your chance of, uh, Bloodman, because you, uh, I began as a Ohio State fan, so he's whatever. But, uh, you said the cave all day that this was the most wrong you've been in a long time. Yeah, I mean, I, I've been a long time, I'm 27 years old now, uh, yeah, I'm 27 years old. Now I've been a long time self-emitted idiot. Now you all see it. I am an idiot. Great. Great. That KC was correct the whole way through Ohio, she was 100% right about how I was 100% wrong. And to, I, I didn't understand the defense of philosophy yesterday of just giving Miami anything and everything they wanted underneath and how laks they were playing in coverage. I never understood that. But I'm not near as smart or qualified as Matt Patricia, so I leave that to him. Regardless, you brought up Brandon was Ohio State was, you know, fueling offensively and doing enough against inferior opponents and then in big games, they didn't hit it and, and we just kept taking it for granted, and I was trying to fall asleep last night and just thinking, Hey man, there were, there are red flags all along the way. The ice didn't, didn't want to admit, maybe you were like, talk about. And one of them is Ryan, they straight up tricked us when he said this offense has another gear. Just you wait. This offense has another gear and when it's go time, you're going to see it. For Ryan day, it was go time. You were even the guy calling the place play and I didn't see what there was no go time. There was no offense that had the gas, the all gas, no breaks mentality. I'm listening to Luki next to me on the couch for three hours, begging for tempo. Where was the tempo? When they finally went, tempo, it was successful. I just, I don't know, Julian saying there were so many opportunities for him to just avoid a sack by throwing the ball away and he did against inferior competition, Ruben Bane, breathing down his throat, he throw, he never once did it. There's been opportunities for him to hit the scene. He had a chance to hit Max Claire up the scene, easy touchdown, misses it. He has an opportunity later in the game, the hit car now, take down the scene, misses it and it's an unsuccessful dump down and I just, I'm looking for progression from him throughout the year. I see how talented he is. I understand you guys point like, yeah, he doesn't have the likes and everything, but this is supposed to be a lethal pocket passing quarterback. You need to be able to stand in there, take a hit and throw it and rip the scene and why he can't do that doesn't make sense. I'd be very, very curious to see one of his passing charts and just see how much of his just all, all sideline, all sideline. Well, I mean, I think I think one thing, car now tape was scared to get injured in that game. He's focused on the F.O. Yeah, you saw that clip. It's a back clip out there. I would as far as tagging the middle field, it was a great observation, Liam. That's something that young quarterbacks tend to fear to do and maybe in some sort of weird, inverse way him having the talent on the outside that he does meant that during the vast majority of the year, he didn't have to develop that skill. But then when you run into team that's going to force you to have to be able to take advantage of those opportunities, he didn't, was it ready because he just couldn't rely on some of those playmakers just be so much better than the other team. I'd like to say something I'm really insane. He is, and we forget this, a 19 year old red shirt. Yeah. He's got a lot of time. Yeah. And he was, the schedule did not put him in a lot of learning situations. So if you could, if you could design something to help your quarterback against a team like Miami, Ohio State just ignored all of that yesterday. You need to give him an offensive line that can give him at least half a chance. They didn't do it. Yeah. You need to give him a running back who can take the, and I felt like Bo Jackson had a couple of moments yesterday. But they really kind of, they really just never got going and like, and then again, I think Bloodman said it, their tip, oh, in the second half was bizarre. They were, they were kind of fighting from behind, fighting from behind, and they kept putting the play clock down to one. But for all of that, for all of the Ohio State, Miami got the football back with a three point lead with six minutes to go. And Mario Krista ball has often gotten in trouble with his game management. People have said this and that about his time management. Miami Carson Beck has made mistakes in the past. Miami has not closed out games in the past. And that all went out the window. One of the biggest grown men drives I can remember last night when Miami took that ball down the field and took the air out and Ohio State never had another chance. That was shocking and it was a quarterback, a coach, and a program standing up and saying not this time, motherfuckers. Yeah. I'm glad you highlighted Brandon because that game flow, that was the, that was the moment where we knew that this Miami team was different. I think when Ohio State made a 17 14 and tweeted that it felt like at that point, it was a Ohio State's game to lose, right? Maybe this was fluky. Miami came out big early, but they weren't good enough. They weren't be able to hold on. And what did they do at that moment? They went to the run game and they fucking started punching and pounding and kind of represented Carson Beck's entire game. He didn't do anything over the top, but he was very composed. And he got the third and three. He got the third and four. Made good decisions. And really, that's what Beck's, that's where Beck's age, I think really showed in this game and his maturity and what he learned at Georgia and what he's been through, is that whoever said it early, I can't remember, I apologize. Again, he's not winning you the games himself, but his composure was really big on this stage. And I'm officially retiring Christopher. I had to retire for occasion, retiring Christopher odd, no longer Mario. You proved me wrong. I love when guys prove us wrong. Congratulations to Miami. And as someone who's getting a lot older, there was something wonderfully nostalgic about watching that uniform on that stage hit that hard last night. I feel that too. I kind of, I'm one of the main guys that says, College Football isn't better when a certain team is good, but I have an nostalgic little thing for Miami. They were the dominant team when I was a kid, like eight, eight, nine years old, and then they were dominant again when I was in college, like they've always kind of been there. So it is good to see him back. Well, you also have Michael Irvin, which is the nostalgia on the sidelines, acting like an absolute crazy person. It's just fun. I mean, he is an animal and I can't even know. Yeah, he does. It's just, isn't it so jarring to see ACC champion do have so much success and ensemble and be left out of the playoff when Miami is doing this? The team won the ACC and do this, too. We can have been on Duke Miami collision course for a national championship and ACC rights. Finally. I'm not gonna mention how the fuck was Baird Morton even called for ball quarterback this year based on what I saw today. I'm simply gonna say, Oregon's defense was nasty. Knocked him out. Defense was incredible offense. Texas State defense was good. I don't give them credit. They were good, but they just ran out of gas because what-- - They were awesome. They were awesome. But like Texas Tech's offense was so overmatched, so overmatched by Oregon. It didn't matter. Big have Oregon ducks. - Yeah, I mean, no, that was dominant. I mean, I was, what was it? 23 and nothing. Fine, I mean, it should have been like 40 to nothing. I mean, the amount of points that left on the board in the first half. That was rough. Texas Tech is dominant as they were defensively. That's rough way to go out. Just had no, I mean, even landing, he went in front of you, Tom. So there was even one time where he, I forget what, in the third quarter, where he didn't kick the field going to go for it, and he instead of punting. And I kind of was like, why not just pin him deep like this? I mean, they really had two plays the entire game. And one was a total fluke, where the two defenders like take each other out. In like a barrel roll, and he breaks it for 50, and then they still take it points. And then they hit the one throw to Douglas on the sideline. That was basically only impact plays that made the entire game. I don't think I've seen such an inept offense in the playoffs. It's like when we got blown out bad with Urban and that JT Barrett Clemson playoff game, that was what, that was maybe thinking of it where they just couldn't do anything offensively. But organs really get, organs are very complete team. There are team as well that doesn't have a good ton of holes. No, yeah, a lot of talent offense, like they have a very good offensive line. They have a very good defensive, a very smart quarterback, good coach. Like they're, I mean, I think they're definitely a lot like them in Indiana is going to be an unbelievable game. I think they're definitely live to win it all too. Well, and that's why when you, when you look back to, I mean, they're lost against Indiana. I mean, I know, I didn't, I picked organ to win that game, and that was kind of shocking. But that's really when Indiana kind of came onto the national stage and like, this is not the same team as last year. This is not the same, hey, we have an easy schedule. Like, and that's when you look back now and you look at organs lost. You're like, oh, no shit. They lost the best team in the country. And they just continue to get better on both the landing. When you look across the playoff, like the coaching decisions made such big differences. You look the signety, you look at landing, you look at what Pete Golding did tonight. It's like across the board, these guys are showing. It's like when you have good coaching, you're going to get in that situation. What confused me about Texas Tech, the one loss they had this year was without Baron Morton. Baron Morton looked horrible today. Like, he just didn't even look like he was playing the same game he played all season. And that confused me the most. I think they didn't, they didn't play a defense like Oregon. I mean, remember the Utah game where like in the Utah game, the Texas Tech offense was actually doing what they did against Oregon. And they were awful. The Texas defense kept standing on its head. Only in that game, the offense was good enough to overcome. But they hear more and they heard this tournament with the lowest QBR of any QB in the field. You saw it. You ran into a top five defense. And I think Texas Tech's defense actually, again, I don't even think they played good. I think they played great. Texas Tech defense was actually great. They just got nothing complimentary. And so eventually they broke and the final score looks really bad. But yeah, Oregon, Oregon, Oregon feels like you said, like Indiana so complete. No holes is maybe a bit of the difference. Are they a bit more youthful or less experienced in Indiana? I feel like in my head, they are, but I don't know if that's factual or youthful. Yeah. Yeah. So it's like like Oregon next year. You look for going to be like a fucking superpower, but the yeah, man, Brandon Finney, Jr. Here's I compiled some some stuff on them. So he's a true freshman. This year, he had the highest force in completion rate in the big 10. He had the lowest completion rate against him in coverage in the entire country. He's the highest grade of freshman corner in the country. He's a player in college football playoff history with three takeaways in a game. And he's like 18 years old. So he's kind of representative of Oregon as a whole in that their future is incredibly bright. They're awesome. Now, can they get revenge against Indiana? I cannot wait. Also, young Galilei was awesome. I can't wait to see that rematch. Wait, you and Lolele Lele could be good in the postseason. Apparently you just can't be named DJ. Brandon, you said it, you said it confused you too. So I know I'm not alone in it. Like I understand that they ran up against a really good defense, but still his decision making in the way that he played the game. I understand you played a much better defense, but he just didn't look like the same quarterback to me. Listen, there's running into a good defense and struggling. He could have fair caught that thing. He was just, he's all he did was drop back in zone and Baron Martin threw it right to him. He was scared. There was something about him. I don't think a lot of people gave much of a chance, I mean we, we, we across the board picked a high state to win comfortably and they didn't, uh, Chris, I'm like all the Christopher Auden, all the shit Carson Beck Scott, they were the more prepared. I mean, they were winning the entire game, so I mean, yeah, they got it, maybe got it. Casey Smith, who won the week? I think it has to be all myths. You can obviously make an argument for all the winners this week, but I do think it's all missed because at least I can, can say this that I did not think that they had any shot of beating Georgia and all the drama that they're like, I would love to know exactly, you know, the conversations that are going on in that coaching staff right now, what Lane's thinking, but to go into this game without your head coach and to be left at the altar and the whole thing of like, oh, you can't win a national title a little miss, you got to go to LSU if you're going to win a national title and they're now in the final four. So to win the game, the way that they did and after they lost to Georgia just everything about it and Kirby smart, you know, there were decisions that he made throughout the game. They're like, no shit, he's one of the best coaches in the country. And then there was some questionable calls he made as well, but it didn't matter to Ole Miss. And I think that now going into this and you're looking at the fact they don't have their head coach and he's sitting at a basketball game at LSU and they're going to play in the semi finals for the college football playoff. It's Ole Miss, who hadn't won 10 games before Lane got there. That's pretty fucking cool if you're an Ole Miss fan. See you Bob Aver. Who won the week? I'll go into Indiana. Now, I think too much is made of this probably when you look at who the teams were on the buys, but they're the one team that handles the buy like a well coached and high executing team should like a team that gets the buy should. But again, it's not just the win over Alabama. It's the nature of the dominance, doubling the yardage, doubling the first downs, holding the ball 10 more minutes. And let's just talk about the rush yards. I hate that whenever 17 attempts for Alabama 23 yards, 50 attempts on the ground from Indiana 216 yards. It's just unbucking believable that we are sitting here in a reality where Indiana is winning in that manner against what has been the college football boogie man for the better part of two decades. Liam Lutman, who won the week? The fan bases of Indiana Miami, Oregon and Ole Miss that have a chance to see their team, their program win a national championship is pretty insane to think about. Mincey's dome reports were a macula tonight. I know we we make fun. Mincey here and there, but you gotta give credit where credit is due. And they took out a two time national champion in Kirby smart. They went to the sugar bowl right there in their backyard. And they stared down Kirby smart. They stared down the George Bulldogs. George has been here before. This is nothing new to them. Kirby smart. This is nothing new to him at all. It is new to Ole Miss not only them being in the playoff this deep, but Pete Golden coaching at all. He's in a second game ever as a head coach and they go out and their coach better and they're resilient. A lot of teams could have folded up shop in that funbore turn in the first half. They they fumbled around the first half and ended up down after out playing George in the first half. And then the second half they took it to him and they weathered the storm at the end when Georgia looked like they might have been coming back. But they weathered the storm. They go right down the field. Trinidad Chambles is a miracle of a quarterback. They found him for Ferris State. He's incredible. It's just everything that is right about college football is, you know, your coach tells you you're not good enough. He leaves his ass is gone. The SEC, I mean, Texas obviously killed Michigan and that's fine, whatever Michigan's in disarray. And like Texas played really well in arch. By the way, I know this, we're talking about the culture of play up. But arch in that second half of that football game was insane. I will, and I'm not trying to bring up old shit, but I do want to, like, A&M did play good defense against Miami. Like, we were able to make fun of it a couple of weeks ago. But like, they did play better, they played better defense than Ohio State did. You scored 10 fucking points, what are we talking about?
