Clinging To The Good In A World That Pulls Us Away!

here in Edmonton and we have a wonderful fellowship a few days ago and I really thank the local staff and thank you for joining our church here. I know that some of our residents are still enjoying their summer probably, man, but thank God. And by the way, before I press the word, the Lord would like to remind you that we have our brethren, we can, can I ask our Spanish people to stand up, amen, the Durango family, Marcus family, please the Lord, amen. Let's clap our hands of the Lord. And of course, God bless, amen. As sister, you lead it right now. She has some products there. They, actually the money that they can raise, they will also help. You remember there was a strong earthquake in Venezuela. A lot of people died and that's why this family, Durango, are also raising some funds to send some help in Venezuela. So, after the services, you can pass by the boat there or the place there. With sister Durango, you can buy that delicious, I have not tasted yet, but I know according to the picture, it's like somewhat delicious. Okay, yeah. What's that? It's not food. I have my my dog food. Hello. Okay. Ah, dobleena. Praise the Lord. Stand with me, brethren, for the preaching of the Word of God. I believe this week we have a lot of preaching. Starting Tuesday in the evening. So, since the district family come here in Edmonton, we do need to travel very far to attend brethren. So, we can attend because it's very close here, just in Lido. Starting from Tuesday to Friday, I believe, Friday. All right. For the word of the Lord today, brethren, would like to read from the book of Romans chapter 12. Hallelujah. Romans chapter 12 verse 5. So, we being now many are one body in Christ and everyone members one of another. Verse 6, having then gifts offering according to the grace, everybody's a grace that is given to us with their prophecy that as prophesy according to the portion of faith. And in verse 7, on ministry, let us wait on our ministering or he that teaches on teaching. In verse 8, or he that exhorteth on exotation and he that giveeth, let him do it with simplicity. He that ruleeth with the legends. He that showeth mercy with cheerfulness. And the very point of this reading today is in verse 9. I want you to take note. Let love, everybody read together with me. Let love be without the simulation of horror that wishes ever. Clear to that which is good. Very powerful. Verse. And Romans chapter 12. Let love be without the simulation, meaning hypocrisy, hypocrisy, abhor that which is evil, meaning hate, evil. If there is, do not hate your brother in her sister, but hate evil. Abhor that which is evil. And I like the word clear. Clear or clean to that which is good. Hallelujah. This is so powerful this week. The Lord has put this in my heart. And the Lord is speaking to tell the people of God, brethren, that each time for us to clean, to clean, to stick to that which is good. Why? Because in our generation now, people love evil more than good. If you are doing good, you are evil in their side. But if you are doing evil things, you are good to them. That is how crooked the world we are living in. And you cannot deny it. You can see it in your eyes. With in fact the month of June, personally, that is the month for the couples, for the husband and wife, but they change it. To pride, pride month. Instead of for successful couples, for the pride. So that is how crooked the world is. And what you can say, I just want to for you to see the picture of this message right now, this is what Paul was saying. Even few months ago, or yeah, few weeks ago, we have experienced and years while happening in Edmonton, whoever thing that we will experience flood, who will experience, who will expect that we will hug this kind of weather, abnormal. How come few years ago, China experienced that the water become blood and recently Japan, the water become blood. What is the message? Ladies and gentlemen, the Lord is saying to the Church with our theme, clinging to the good in the world that pulls us away. Clinging to the good in a world that pulls us away. Father, in the name of Jesus, hallelujah. We are now in this last day's Father. I pray that you will speak to us right now. I need your help to speak the word clearly to your people with the message that you want me to bring to them. Bless us all in Jesus' name. Before you sit down, please turn around and shake the hand of your brother or sister. Amen and tell them, "Clean to the good." Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Amen. You may be seated. Amen. We understand that clinging means holding tightly to someone or something sticking closely to a surface or staying very close for a emotional support. A few years ago, we experienced individuals particularly in Mindanao, in Kaga'i and the Oru'u'i City, where there was a strong flood that many houses were destroyed, many lives were killed, you know, lost their lives. And according to the news, there were survivors and those survivors they found out in the morning when the sun was rising. They saw women, they saw even children clinging to a tree or a branch of a tree just to survive. During the great tsunami and storm in Takluban city where more than 6,000 people died in Takloban City. There are some survivors that they were saved by just clinging to something that they can hold on. And the Lord is still in the church today that is now the picture of the world we are living in. That's why the message of clinging to the good, the good, Al-El-Uyce, the message that we read a while ago. We are having and living in generation where evil is celebrated. Evil is celebrated and goodness is often marked. Truth is compromised for convenience. We need fact now, a lot of people, you know, they love fast food. You love fast food? You will just go to Tim Hortons and drive through something like that. And don't you know that even churches, they are always in a hurry. They want fast food service. They don't want to stay in the church. To have a long service. We in the past, we will preach. We have pastors from the U.S. who went to the Philippines to conduct, you know, a special service. It is not, you know, the apostolic church. But then we have noticed, actually we attended one of their services. The singing was too long. Wow. Oh, every, with small, kind of everything, jump, jump. But then the pastor who traveled very far to go to the Philippines, they are only instructed to preach 10 minutes. Preach to us 10 minutes. If not, we will just go home. Can you imagine that kind of attitude? But the Lord is telling us he gave us seven days. He even asked one day. Are you here to honor the Lord, Jadeb Rehd. Are you here to worship the Lord? We have to worship God in spirit and in truth. We would like to give chance to Hallelujah for the Holy Spirit to move in our midst. We cannot expect God to create a miracle without us giving our all to the Lord. You have seen a young man here holding a baby, that baby, even the doctors, it seems no more hope. But then you can see the hand of God. Come on church, hallelujah. Because if you will grue night unto the Lord, what the Bible said, he will grue night unto us. If you worship the Lord, God will bless us. If you honor the Lord today, brethren, Hallelujah. If you give your all to the Lord, he will bless us more abundantly. In fact, the background of our text, hallelujah, in Romans chapter 12, I love what this is one of my favorite chapter actually in the book of Romans. Because in Romans chapter 11, it talks there about God rejecting His people. Because the people rejected God. Therefore, God also rejected them. But here in chapter 12, I like it. When he says, I visit you therefore, brethren. Paul the Apostles asking us, I visit you, I request you, more than request. I asked you, I plead before you, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies, giving sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. I beloved brethren, hallelujah, look at that. We are here today because we want to honor the Lord, presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice. And he said, "Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you be proved." That is, what is that good and acceptable unto God, which is your perfect and the perfect will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think. But to think, soberly, according as God had dealt, to every man, the mission of faith and verse four. For us, we have many members in one body and all members have not the same office. That's why here today the truth. I already mentioned to you is compromised for convenience. Holiness is exchanged for popularity and many are drifting away from God because they have loosened their grip on what is good. Yet the Holy Spirit speaks to us through the book of Romans chapter 9, chapter 12 verse 9, with a simple but powerful command, "Clean to the good." The word "clean" or "clean" means to hold tightly our Luya to stick like, even like glue, to refuse to let go regardless of pressure. The Christian life, ladies and gentlemen, is not merely about avoiding evil. It is about passionately holding on to everything that reflects. Hallelujah. Today God is asking each one of us what are we holding on to. What are you holding on to? Hallelujah. Amen. I remember the story. I want to share you the story here. Hope I can find it. God, this is a wonderful story, very powerful testimony of a young 12-year-old survivor. She is here. He could barely, if you could come and help me read here because the letter is very small. She could barely swim, had no life jacket and was alone in the dark ocean. Still, 12-year-old Bahia Bacari held on at around 158 a.m. 150 in the morning. On June 30, 2009, Yemenia flight 626 was approaching Moroni, the capital of Comoros, after flying from Sana Yemen. The Airbus Air 310 carried 153 passengers and crew members, including Bahia and her mother Aziza Abu Dho, who were traveling from France to visit family. Just minutes before landing, the plane crashed into the Indian Ocean near Grande Comoro. Bahia later described walking in the water surrounding by darkness and wreckage. She had little swimming experience, but she found a floating piece of the aircraft and held on to. held on to cling onto. First, she could hear other people calling for help. Then, as the hours passed, those voices disappeared. Reports differ on the exact length of time she spent in the sea, placing it somewhere between roughly 9 and 13 hours. What is clear is that she remained there through the night, injured, exhausted, and without food, drink, and rest. water or proper flotation. Eventually the crew of the rescue boat, Sima, Kong, two spotted her. When rough water prevented Baya from reaching a live ring, sailor Libona, Maturefe jumped into the sea with a floating device and helped pull her abroad. Baya survived with hypothermia, a fractured collarbone, bruises, and other injuries. Her mother and other 151 people abroad did not survive. Sometimes courage is not loud or fearless. Sometimes it is a frightened child in the darkness holding on for one more minute and then another. Wow! And everybody say wow! She survived because she was able to hang on to a piece of that aircraft. So the question is today, what are you holding on to? Are we holding brethren on just material things? Are we just holding on to what we believe can save us or our education perhaps? Rather than we need to learn to home we can cling on. And I believe that we can cling on to Christ Jesus, the source of all the good. Hallelujah! Cling to Christ! Amen! He is the source of all the good. In the Bible we learn if you will hold on to Jesus Christ, He is everything to us. If you are hungry, Jesus is the bread of life. Are you hungry today? Jesus is available. So Sunday's ago we were in San Diego. I was privileged to preach there, the Word of God. And there was a young man who attended the service with a long, long hair. But then he has a desire to listen to the Word of God. And while the preaching of the Word of God, at first it's not so, it's not so interested, but later on the spirit of God start moving. That this young man, with in fact during the altar call, came and my wife prayed for him. And after the service he came to me and said, Pastor thank you. It was great, I need it. So if you're hungry today, Jesus Christ is the bread of life. Come on everybody, clap your hands to the Lord. I am the bread of life, Jesus said. And he said, I am the Lord of the world. If you are in darkness right now, probably the clouds of darkness, I have to cover you. But in this service I declare in the name of Jesus Christ, hallelujah, he meant that the light of the Lord will come right now. And don't you know that only the only thing that there's no shadow is the light. Why? Because in the light there is no darkness. Ladies and gentlemen, Jesus Christ is the light. Can we just love the Lord for the light right now? I am the door of the ship. Jesus said, I am the door of the ship. Come to him. He can open the door for you. If you are not yet saved, this is the time to find the door. Who is the Lord Jesus Christ? Amen. He is the good shepherd. I am a good shepherd. Don't you know that he's watching us every day? Every hour, every time, every moment of our lives. The Lord is still watching. Hallelujah. He is my good shepherd. He's watching over me. And then he said, I am the resurrection and the life. Hallelujah. Thank God, my Jesus, the resurrection and the life. I love my Jesus. And he also declares in John chapter 15, I believe I am the way, the truth and the life. I am the way, the truth and the life. He also declares, he meant I am, I am the true vine. And in Revelation chapter 1 verse 8, everybody read together. This is the great I am, I am Alfa and Omega. Who are saying this? Jesus Christ, Jesus declares I am Alfa and Omega. The beginning and the ending say the Lord which is and which was and which is the come, the Almighty. Why we need to cling on to Jesus because he is the Almighty God. Clap your hands if you believe it and see out Jesus. Thank you Lord. Hallelujah. Amen. We are going to be the picture. Imagine as a sailor look at that with all the troubles, with all the waves, go into violent storm. Everything around him is moving. They are who riches an enormous experience until such time brethren that he was able to hold on to that he survived. He wrapped both arms around it. The wind still blows, the rains still falls, but brethren hallelujah because he was able to hold on to what happened because he clings to that both brethren. He survives and I want to declare to you that Jesus Christ is our spirit while both. If Jesus is in our ship, we don't need to worry. The storms may continue but those who cling to Christ will never be destroyed. Some of us experience terrible happenings in our lives. We need back our beloved sister Mangun. She's already hundred years old. She's a prayerful woman but recently met an accident, broken her hips probably. She was in the hospital but there are no met an accident. Our dear, easy still in the hospital. This is the picture that you are experiencing right now. In 2023, I was in the hospital for how many weeks and I thought that was my last but then thank God I'm still alive today. Come on church hallelujah. Cling into Jesus Christ. Our visitors that are here today. Maybe you are experiencing some hardship but cling on to the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not religion. It is not religion. My friend that can help you. It is Jesus Christ alone. Hallelujah. He's the one inviting us. Cling to God's word. Ladies and gentlemen, everybody say cling to God's word. We need the Word of God. I need the Word of God. Without the Word of God, brethren, hallelujah. You are just like a traveler who travel without a GPS. You are just like a pilot in an airplane that there is no GPS. On our way from the US going back here in Canada, we were stranded in Vancouver. We were already on board the planes as the day end. We see there are the location is very nice. We're proud. I almost took a picture because we're at the front. The front sits. But then there was an announcement. You need to embark. This embark. wawah. wawah, wavah. wawah, wawah. Wawah, wawah.wawah. The only problem is that the life of the plane when landing, there's a light that will guide, there's no light. Only light. But when light is not there, the plane cannot land. And we were stranded. And they put us in the airport and then people are gone, no more air conditioner. I said, "How can I survive until the morning?" It's good somebody touched, you know, that's by the Lord. You know, the air can be provided as a hotel, a comfort hotel, comfort in, even provided as food and everything. Hallelujah. But what I am saying here today, we need a light. We need to cling to the Word of God. I love the Word of God, hallelujah. If you are not reading a study, the Word of God, brethren, this is the way God will speak to us. To bring you, we're speaking to God. But if you want the answer of God, read the Word of God, it's here. Oh, hallelujah. Even in Psalms 1.19 I believe. Can you help me read everybody? Hallelujah. Look at that. The Word is the love of to my feet and the light of to my path. To ladies and gentlemen, we need the Word of God. The Bible is not merely an information. It is direction. Hallelujah. It is correction. It is protection. It is transformation. The devil always attack our grip on God's Word. When you go to work tomorrow, some of you will encounter some people who will despise the Word of God. After this service, you will go home and somebody will tell you, "Oh, you went to that church. A very loud church." But brethren, hallelujah, I love the Word of God. The Word of God will give us life. The Word of God will give us direction. The Word of God will give us correction. Hallelujah. Can we just love the Lord today? If we can loosen our confidence in the Scripture, He can weaken our walk with God. I would repeat, if He can loosen our confidence in the Scripture, He can weaken our walk with God. But the believer who holds tightly to God's Word cannot easily be deceived. Cannot easily be discouraged. Hallelujah. This is now a shaking time, brothers and sisters. Hallelujah. I rather have holding on to the Word of God. Hallelujah. The Word of God will bring me to heaven. The Word of God will, Jesus is my spiritual GPS that will lead me to that everlasting life. And the next one is that we need to cling to holiness. Peace and holiness, no man shall say the Lord. The spirit of compromise is working, even in our time now. Christian cannot remain leaving according to the will of God. According to the Bible, they just want to follow their own feelings and emotions. Rather than that's why the word says, compromise, God says, be holy. Can you hear me today? Hallelujah. So my brothers and sisters, when we talk about the holiness of God, the glory of God, can you imagine the time I just come to my mind today? During the time that I believe it was better and some other disciples, they went fishing. And of course, they went there and went fishing. And then one day that early morning Jesus appeared, you know, to see them. And when the Lord gave greetings to them and behold, they later looked up and saw Jesus. And during that time, while Peter and some other disciples were fishing, he took off all his clothes, Peter took off all his clothes. But when he saw Jesus, he didn't run right away. He looked for his clothes and covered himself. Look at that. You are in the presence of God. It's not hard to live holy. Hallelujah. If you are shook by the presence of God, ladies and gentlemen, Hallelujah. Your life is holy. You become loyal to the Lord. You love Him. You love His presence. I also remember, and you remember the name of that guy who, in David refused to bring the ark of the covenant to Israel. There was a man who volunteered. What is his name? I forget. Can you remember, brother? The guy who took the ark of the covenant. Just forget the name. Just sleep in my mind. Oh, baby. Yeah, oh, baby. It don't be the dome. Oh, baby, don't. He took it in his house for only three months. Only three months when the ark of the covenant is in his house. Dancing was poor. Can you believe with these three months, August, the first week of August the day? Can you expect three months from now? There is a special blessing. There are bells. Hallelujah. Yeah, I can feel it. Just come to my mind. The Lord is saying. Hallelujah. Right now. Just three months. The blessing was poor out. What makes the blessing came because of the presence of the Lord, the covenant like this one, the ark of the covenant. Hallelujah. I'm excited for my three months. Hallelujah. Are you excited for three months? Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Amen. Where are we now? Kling to holiness. Kling to love. This is our text. Love one another. At the end, Kling to hope. Everybody say Kling to hope. Are you still hoping and believing, brethren? In Titus chapter 2 verse 13. Looking for that blessed hope. And the glorious. Go ahead, first again. And the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior, Jesus. Wow. We have that blessed hope. Kling to that blessed hope. Some of you, the devil tried to attack your hope. You become hopeless. But in the service today, the Lord is saying. Remember Kling to the hope. Kling to hope. Hallelujah. Don't be discouraged. Don't lose to your hope. Looking unto Jesus. Amen. That blessed hope. That glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm still excited. I don't know about you, but I'm still excited. I've been serving God for many, many years now, but I'm still excited for that blessed hope. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And I hope you are one of that number, brethren. Olocia 34. When Christ who is our life shall appear, then shall He also appear with Him in glory. With Christ who is our life, our hope shall appear, then shall He also appear with Him in glory. Oh, brethren, Sister Gwen, one more valley perhaps, one more mountain to climb, one more tier to see, she had, Hallelujah. Amen. Are you not blessed to see Sister Gwen? Hallelujah, we bid together for 17 years now in this church. Hallelujah, but still loving the Lord. Hallelujah. Many times, he encounter a lot of trouble, accident, but every time that the Lord restore her strength, she is back in the spirituals, worshipping the Lord and loving Him. Why? Because we have this living hope in Christ who is our life shall appear, then shall He also appear with Him in glory. The question is, are you one of that number? So, I don't know if I can find this little story here. I like this story. I have a unique style of preaching today because I always, I'm a little story here. I don't know where it is that I can find a steering story, a child who would never let go. I will, maybe I see it. Amen. Don't let go. Everybody say, don't let go. Story of this child who would not let go after devastating earthquake, then rescue worker searched through the ruins of the Kulab's home, hour after hour, the removed broken concrete and shattered wood. Finally, one rescue heard a faint cry of a little girl. As they carefully reached her, they discovered something remarkable that child had survived because she was tightly holding the hand of her mother. Though the mother had died protecting her daughter, her arm remained rocked around the child. The little girl whispered through tears, my mommy told me, don't let go of my hand. So, I didn't let go. But grip saved her life. The grip of that child to the hand of the mother saved her. And to their church, I believe that there was a greater hand here right now, even your family in your life who is covering you right now. Hallelujah, embracing you. The greater hand holding us, Jesus said, no man shall pluck them out of my hand. The safest place in this world, this troubled world, is in the hand of Jesus Christ. No matter how fierce the storm, no matter how painful the trial, no matter how dark the valley, don't let go. Don't let go. Keep clinging to the good shepherd. Hallelujah, keep clinging to the good shepherd. Remember this today. As yourself today, am I holding onto Christ or to temporary things? Am I clinging to God's word every day? Am I pursuing holiness? Am I showing genuine love? Am I holding on to hope despite life's battles? The world is constantly pulling us away from God. But the Holy Spirit is calling us that, Paul Titer, hallelujah, hallelujah, praise the Lord. Hallelujah, love greater, serve faithfully. We need to serve God faithfully Church. When in fact this morning before leaving the house, I ask myself why some of the people cannot remain faithful and loyal. Why? We know the dog in Japan. Will no dog, what's the name? A chico, hallelujah, dog, and there is a monument built because there was a professor who received a gift, a little puppy, and he named that dog, Haseko, is it Haseko? Yeah, a very faithful, you know sending the professor to catch the train to work every day for many years. And then one day the professor when he went there, he was not able to come back, he died. But don't you know that the dog remained faithful every afternoon, wait and wait for that professor, rain or shine. It's no time the dog is still there waiting. So faithful and loyal that even newspaper, you know, a person, a people took some story, took pictures about the people, the become a sign or memory or an inspiration for the Japanese people. I ask myself why if the dog is loyal. Some people cannot be loyal. There are some Haseban who are not loyal to their wife. There are some wife who are not loyal to their husband. There are children who are not loyal to the parents. By today we have to ask ourselves why we cannot serve him faithfully. Why? Some young people right now they have no appetite to serve God and even people. They have no time for God. But today I declare we will serve him faithfully. Love your wife, love your husband, love your family, be loyal. If animals, animals can be loyal, even birds can be loyal to their partner. How about Christian? If you don't have the word of God be careful. There are people, you know, when they come to church, they will appear here but they will just go out and have some coffee outside. Where are they now? There's danger. It will be careful. You cannot despise the presence of it. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit. Serve faithfully. Stand firmly and never let go of Jesus. Yalvi, we all stand together right now. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Encourage you by the grace of God right now brethren. Hallelujah, Jesus. If you have desire in your heart for this message that the Lord wanted me to pray. reach to you and I did it today. We'll open our Al-Qarwait now and say, Lord, I will find a place where I can dedicate myself to you. As man and wife, if you have the opportunity for the
