Chips & Strategy: End Game | Planet FPL S. 9 Ep. 47 | Fantasy Premier League
86m 36s

David Hunt is with me. We have just finished recording our final chips in the strategy podcast. Endgame for the season. We just finished recording, and the dates have officially been confirmed for Gameweek 30-frame. Just a note to say that to start the podcast. You might hear us speak and think, "Don't they know? We do know." We just finished recording, and the Premier League just announced it. It has been confirmed. Bright versus Chelsea, played on the Tuesday in Gameweek 33. Borma versus Leeds, Bernlee versus Manchester City, played on the Wednesday in Gameweek 33. All six of those teams confirmed, "We'll double in Gameweek 33." Blank in Gameweek 34. Enjoy the podcast, David. You can do the intro now. Fantastic World Show. Welcome back to Planet FPL. Everything revolves around fantasy Premier League. I'm your also sub for the day, David. My name's James, and I'm always here. You're not James, you disappeared last week. I had a little break, felt refreshed and ready to get back into it. Yeah, all very well. Thanks. Yeah, it's been a nice break from it all. David's all over because Sudji's still being a lazy bastard. He's still away somewhere. But he doesn't get a word in on these chipshot actually podcasts anyway. You're all probably quite relieved. This is chipshot strategy. The end game, it is final decision time. As we just discussed off camera before we started, Saturday afternoon, everything seems fairly straightforward. Then Arsenal lost Saturday night, and a lot of people have had a wobble about what's happening with their strategy. It's caused kind of an open field. Play it your way. He's very real. There are lots of different ways to play this. And we're going to have a run through of some of the ways that we're going to do it. David and I are on very different chip strategies at the moment. David, what chips do you have left? Yes, I've got all of them left here. So the week's left for chips to use. I'm not in that blessing. Although may also be blessed, I probably wish I still had the triple caps and see you chip at this stage. I think it's fair to say. I squandered, some would say, my bench push a number of weeks ago for a number of players who decided not to turn up. But I'm also somewhat pleased that I don't have to worry about it on this strategy line at the moment because it's influence in people. Perhaps in a positive way, but also perhaps in a negative way. I just have wildcard and free hit left. And yes, we're going to have a look at some options towards the end in terms of those who are perhaps without a wildcard or a free hit. We're going to have a look at some different strategy routes. But first off, let's give you an update of what's been happening over the last week. Or so that leaves us where we stand currently on Tuesday morning of the 7th of April. What's been happening, David? So we got an announcement last Thursday that any Premier League game week 34 fixtures that clash with an FA Cup semi, they will be rescheduled to take place between Tuesday the 21st and Thursday 23rd of April, which is obviously game week 33. So we've got all those doubles in place now. We think the actual days of them will be confirmed this week, maybe even today, you were thinking, well, it would definitely be this week. They actually said in the announcement, it would be early this week in terms of confirmation. I'm still a bit suspicious. Really? OK. A little bit. Yeah. So look, they literally said these games will be brought forward between the Tuesday and the first day. I'm just a little bit suspicious that one of them might not. And I put that percentage chance that sort of two or three percent. It is highly likely that the game week 34 fixtures will be brought forward to 33, but it is not factual until they factually announce the date. The reason for my slight suspicion is, is the fact that they've said between Tuesday and the first day. And I don't think it will be Man City on the first day. I think Man City is probably going to have to be the Wednesday, because I think the semi final will probably be the Saturday, which means Chelsea would be choosing your first and leads would be choosing your first. Now one way round, that seems a little unfair. Yeah. And I'm just a little suspicious. It could be that there's two games from the Tuesday. Chelsea and leads games could definitely both be the Tuesday. I'm just very, very. I think Sky will want to go to Tuesday when she first it. Let's stagger the kick-out times, maybe. Well, no, just think eight o'clock each night. One game, each night, eight o'clock. They'll obviously keep Palace West, and we know it's going to stay on the Monday night now. Sort of got like a four week from Saturday, through to Thursday, every night, without clashing with European fixtures or anything. I think that's what they want to do, but I think the clubs. Whoever's got a game on the first day in a semi final on the Sunday, he's not going to be happy about that if that's how it happens. So, yeah, just wait and see. Now, I saw what I'm saying. I would say 97, 98% yes, the free fixtures that will be not taking place in game 34, will be brought forward, but wait for the official confirmation. Fair enough, yeah. The. I changed it all again, wouldn't it? That was too awesome. Well, that's even more of a disaster if you're looking to bench, but it's fair to you, for a very imaginative night, you're suddenly prepping, prepping, prepping suddenly, it's like, actually, shit, bright and Chelsea's not kind any of. Yeah, but to reiterate, you're saying there's a very small chance of that. Tiny, I'm just. I'm just marginally suspicious. Yeah. That's all I would say. Fair enough, okay. FA Cup quarters, so we want to keep this snappy, so let's not discuss, since he like, looks pretty much. And those are not here regularly, David is the Liverpool fan. Yeah, we talked about a good cutler week, so we lost the game. Yeah, undefeated. Although you've got through another manager. So. Given that that would happen. Yeah, City edged out Liverpool 4-0. That was the first game that then we went on to Chelsea 7, the Port Vale Nill. At which point on Saturday, I was thinking, "Well, this is all going according to plan. We all know what we're going to do here for those with plenty chips left." And Arsenal went out, a game I didn't see. I must confess, but you said, "Salansson, we're very worthy of the soft camera." Yeah. We're really good. I think Arsenal picked quite an offensive lineup in the sense that like, "Ordegard and Habits as eights." And Southampton went quite direct, check and balls off that. But played some fun stuff as well. And Arsenal looked very, very vulnerable off the ball. Very unusually for them. I just think they just picked a team that was too open. I don't want to say they took it lightly. It's understandable, champions league, Gaines and I, et cetera, et cetera. And I think we should bear that in mind that that was a weaker Arsenal side. But Southampton deserved to win. Wasn't a flick. Yeah. Even after Arsenal equalised, you didn't have that always inevitable now. At Southampton, I had to go. But I was screaming at TV in injury times, trying to get a third. Stopped with shit, honestly. Just looking at the ball now. They were good, Southampton. Yeah, no foul, correct to them. And the game Sunday was. And the game Sunday, yeah, was wild. Mad as well. And so, yeah, lots of twists and turns in that one, but leads eventually winning on penalties. So they are the team that will have the double game game weekends 33 rather than Westam. I've heard some stories of some Westam fans leaving at 2.0 down. Yes. And getting home in time for penalties. So you saw your team lose twice. As I mentioned that, you saw your team lose a football match twice at two different venues. Same day. See, Mark Gays beat Liverpool five times this season. Did you see that start? That's. No, that's quite something actually. Yeah. He hasn't beaten Southampton yet this season, but he might sit. You've got Southampton in the FA Cup. Semifinals and Chelsea Beledes is the other semifinal. We await confirmation of what days those games are going to be at the time record. And that is relevant. Two days spacing in terms of the double or game week 30. Ironically, the only side that has a commitment in the week afterwards coming is Southampton who played Ipswich. Okay. The rearrange game of the championship game week 45. A game not so long. That's a rearrange game from should have been played on Good Friday for the FA Cup final weekend. So it's already been moved once to the Tuesday. I think to move it back to the Wednesday, again, is probably unlikely. Therefore, at the moment, the assumption until confirmed unless that Southampton games moves is that Manchester City Southampton will be the Saturday and Chelsea Leeds will be the Sunday. That's what makes me think City will be Wednesday because there was against Bernlid, obviously play Arsenal to Sunday before. So City would have a Sunday Wednesday, sadly, schedule. That sounds horrendous, but the fact that City have drawn Southampton I think he's good news for the team that they'll likely put out in the two games in the double. The ideal scenario for Chelsea Leeds is probably that they have -Täigin.
games on the Tuesday, then a five day break before the Sunday, they'll then pick strong sides in there to lead games. That could say I'm a bit concerned, I want a game on the Thursday and you can then look at it and go with this five day gap between the games in Fertigree, but then it's three days to the semi-final. So the days will be relevant a little bit. Lots of people debate and say, Danny, well, that verse is dominant, Calvitt loin. Well, that sort of thing's potentially going to be quite relevant subject to which day the games land. Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah. So how's Game Week 33 projected to look as we stand, David? So at six teams will double in double game 33, we've got Bournemouth. So they're away at Newcastle and at home to Leeds. Brighton will be away at Tottenham and at home to Chelsea. Burnley away at Forest at home to Manchester City. We've got Chelsea who are at home to Manchester United and away at Brighton Leeds at home to Wolves and away at Bournemouth and City have that massive gaming experience last night at home and away at Burnley. So you obviously a lot of the doubles playing against each other. Yeah, those same six teams, obviously due to the announcement, will also blank in 34 if those fixtures are confirmed. So yeah, if you've got your free hit, probably it's going to come in handy in 34, isn't it? That's certainly my strategy. Well, 33 or 34, as was often warned, the management between 33, 34 without a free hit was probably going to look fairly disastrous and that's highly likely to be the case here. Essentially, you're going to want all the teams that you want to invest in for 33 are not going to play 34. That's how it looks at the moment. It's a small chance that might change, but we have to assume based on the Premier League statement last Thursday that this is what it's going to be at the moment. Will there be any more doubles after 33? The answer is yes. And I will say this to you very simplicity. It is a near certainty for Manchester City that will have a double. It is a certainty for Crystal Palace. There is a small chance that Bournemouth have one. So where will the spare Manchester City versus Crystal Palace fixture go? All logic would suggest Game Week 36. I would put that at 90% plus at this moment, but it's not a certainty. The Game Week 34 midweek is possible if Crystal Palace lose to Fiorentina in the conference league called to finals, which take place obviously first legs this week and second legs next week. However, it would be less than two weeks notice. That seems very unlikely. Game Week 35 will not happen. City are everton on the Monday night and then play Brentford on the Saturday in Game Week 36. That's a five day turnaround. They're not going to put another fixture into 35, even if Palace have gone out of the conference league. On 36 itself, the Tuesday would only be available obviously if Crystal Palace have gone out of the conference league to Fiorentina because just by consequence, court final second leg will now be a Thursday, Premier League game, Sunday, Premier League game Wednesday. So if City Palace ends up being a Wednesday and City have got an FA Cup final, which it's not say Southampton can't beat them, but we would project that to be the case at the moment. That would mean City having a Premier League fixture out three days before the FA Cup final. We know they've been keen to try and avoid this. So if the Tuesdays available, I think, yeah, highly likely, City Palace, Tuesday, first, then four days to the FA Cup final feels fine. The Wednesday night doesn't feel great. Now, those who listen to these chip strategy podcasts previously will not have mentioned the Villa Liverpool possibility, where it may have to be played on a Wednesday night with little choice. And under that basis, they may bring obviously another fixture forward. With Liverpool obviously going out the FA Cup the weekend, that's no longer a thing. City Palace obviously could go into the midweek of game week 37. That's freely available. But if they decide to do that and City do reach the FA Cup final, that means former first dismantle City has to come forward. So could that fixture be brought forward to 36 and go in there, rather than sitting against Crystal Palace, the answer is yes. And the beauty with that is that game can be played on the Tuesday because the two teams play on the Saturday beforehand. Right. So that's the possibility. Under that eventuality, if Bournemouth City was brought forward to say to choose the infir-y-six and obviously Bournemouth and City would double win 36. City would then just have a single win 37 against Crystal Palace. And obviously then it's a double for Crystal Palace in 37 because they go to Brentford at the weekend of the FA Cup final and then would obviously have their second game at City. So there is a scenario where three teams after game week 33 could still double. The most likely scenario is however that it will be City Palace will go into 36. Yeah, and overwhelmingly likely as well, isn't it? It's like 90% issue I would say, but it's just to make people aware. I know there's a lot of talk of trying to hide maybe a Crystal Palace player at the moment because it's eventually rally. And like I said, one way or the other, Palace will double. It might just be the is 37. That doesn't look quite as attractive as 36. Their first fixture would be a home to Everton rather than a way to Brentford in 37. Palace will have a double, but it might not be quite when you think it will be. And I know some of thought about doing it and all if I set now on Hyde Palace, maybe I can bench Bruce 36. Imagine you do that. You said, I'll hide Henderson, I'll hide Sar. And then suddenly it's 37 instead and it's just Palace double 37. Yeah. You might wish that you'd help you go on with a Bournemouth players. It could of course mean people carry Bournemouth players for this double now and you go, oh my god, what a touch. Bournemouth end up with another double could also work that way of course. Could other games be brought forward from 37 to 36? So we have the Villa Liverpool scenario. I gave an example that would say Arsenal V Bernlee if it was an Arsenal Liverpool final where maybe they would bring Arsenal Bernlee forward to make it fair on Liverpool ahead of an FA Cup Final. Now we're talking about a scenario here where City might have to play three days for an FA Cup Final. So could they bring another game forward to make another double in 36? The answer is no. And Sky have done their usual here and block stuff. So the games that could be impacted in 37 are Chelsea versus Tottenham and Leeds versus Brighton. Obviously one of those games is going to be impacted as Chelsea play Leeds. But both are blocked from being brought forward to Gamebeak 36 because Sky have picked Tottenham versus Leeds as the Monday night game. Yeah. Technically. If there was a provisional announcement, Leeds V Bernlee could be brought forward to Gamebeak 35. It is exceptionally unlikely. Chelsea V Tottenham cannot. Chelsea also have a Monday Gamebeak 35 and then a Saturday Gamebeak 36 against Liverpool. So Chelsea Tottenham basically 100% stays in 37 if Chelsea reached the FA Cup Final. With that in mind, current projections are the six teams to double in 33, all them blank 34 and we're currently looking at Manchester City Crystal Palace most likely for 36. We're an awareness that it could maybe be Bournemouth Man City instead, which would probably mean Palace playing in 37. The obviously the small chance where City don't double would be if the game went into 34. So then City obviously would play FA Cup semi-final and then just play Palace. Again, exceptionally unlikely. For those with the triple-captain C-chip, you might be going triple-captain Ishmaelisar and we wouldn't. You'd be on the single-game replay, I imagine. We could be. It's Palace double 34 under that face, isn't it? Liverpool way in City away. Yeah, Manjoo, you're going to say Liverpool's good fix, right? You though. It feels all right at the moment. Yeah. Okay. So after the FA Cup full-fround, I said that there was on the chip strategy part. I said there was an awful for sonnet scenario that was possible for those wishing to World Card in 32 and Benchbrew's 33. That's exact scenario involved Chelsea, Fulham, Leeds, and Manchester City being the FA Cup semi-finalist. Right. You got three at those four and actually it's worse because now you've lost Fulham and their 34 opponents, Asden Villa from the equation. It looks rough. It does not mean however you can't steal World Card 32 to Benchbrew's 33 after all. Again, week 33 Benchbrew's, if you're just focusing on that, can look fantastic and you pretty much pick whatever you want, it's going to be affordable. I think most people World Card 32 to Benchbrew's 33 are probably going to leave some money in the bank. It'll be very difficult to spend it all. So a given example of a possible Benchbrew's 33 team here. So maybe Treble Brighton for Bruggen, Van Heck, Carametoma, affordable. Treble managed to City having very template. O'Reilly, Semenio, Harlan, Treble Chelsea, Cucarella, Palmer, Jal Pedro, Double Bournemouth, James Hill, Marcus Tabanill, Double Leeds, Jacobie Jean, Dominic Calvert Leun. I'll put Martin De Bravco in there so you can have some representation to see what Bernley's fixtures look like. Bruno Fernandez, I think, you can't really. This idea will be very interesting.
it must be 15 dubblers for me. Bruno is the best captain in Gameweek 32 and you're going to want instantly back to make two transfers to take him out and put him back in just so you can have an inferior player. I mean this, who will have a double in Gameweek 30 for you does not make sense to me. When you've got those transfers will be more useful for other things. I'm fairly certain. Yeah, and I mean, I've got like a million, million worth of value in him as well, so to sort of buying back after that. Well, I think if Arsenal would won and maybe you'd say we're trying to fit in, I don't know, Yocca, Sacka, this sort of thing, then there was kind of a school of four. Maybe it'd be Fernandez to Palmer and then back again, maybe could, but I don't know anyone's not going to go Palmer and Fernandez, truthfully, if they're well-carned in this week. Palmer's actually in auto pick now. Interesting. He didn't interview at weekend. I know if you heard this, David, he said, I can shoot now. All right. No, don't know that. I spoke about this weeks ago when he was obviously carrying a problem. I said, I don't think it's striking cleanly, because I think it's painful for him. He said, I can shoot freely now. Okay. So that's really good news in terms of him getting over his injury problems. He's going to be kind of an auto pick. So that's same. By the way, if we're looking at it, say Benchboost, the Bravka, you can pick a different keep if you prefer. Bruno Fernandez, it's part of your Benchboost, the way the Chelsea, Bijol and Hill, cheap enablers. For a Benchboost, it's great. It's absolutely fine. The problem is what that exact same team looks like in Gameweek 32. I think the call kids would call it mid, because he's not good. You've got essentially there probably the six players from Chelsea and Manchester City in one match. Obviously, you've got Bernalbright and obviously playing each other, but presumably just investment in Brighton. You've got leads away to Manchester United, Bournemouth, way to Arsenal. The reason we spoke about the kind of issue of the certain teams reaching this stage of the FA Cup was you'd have Chelsea set you play any chubber and want them. You'd have leads away to Manchester United, you'd have Bournemouth, way to Arsenal. And the other reason Fulham was referenced was a way to Liverpool. So it doesn't look terrible, but it doesn't look great. And a wild card should look great. I think. So look forward to 33 W's play each other, the other two away to Arsenal, Manu and I just break that down for Simplisto. That doesn't sound great to me. Now, you're probably going ahead with this plan. Yeah. The wild card 32, Benchboost 33. Obviously, that's going to push you into free hit 34, triple captain, say, Harland. This is your comment saying, David. I don't want to read it out. Try not to look at this to be honest, because that's really out. So yeah, it's the Brogdon away at Burnley, back three would be Alderete, Virgil van Dyke, Gabrielle, who this one has been passed for it, we believe by Michael Artetta. Forumfield, Morgan Rocher's, Ken and Gisbehaar, Bruno Fernandez, Anthony Gordon, from three Vigil Tiago, Irling Harland, you go back to E.K. Looks perfectly fine, yeah, this week. So you got a cat, David. Yeah. Can you hear it? Yeah, yeah. It's contributing well to the podcast. It's her first appearance. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Planet FPL debut. Good time. I can't. Oh, Tilly. Tilly. Yeah. She's picked. She only wants to do the big ones. You know, she, uh, wait for the Gisbehaar. Come on. Better than that. Sorry, mate. Yeah, look, for a team that looks perfectly reasonable, there's definitely a bit she could touch up. You've got free, free transfers. Excuse me. I can't help. Sorry, mate. In your end, is everybody carrying on FPL today? Yeah, carry on. Yeah. Absolutely. The team looks alright, doesn't it? When you look at this team versus what you're about to wildcard, what do you think looks better? Well, unsurprisingly, this current game with 32 team looks much better, yeah. I am kind of only doing it because, um, it's, it's the Benchpus 33, isn't it? It's all on that with all the fixtures. Here's the thing. Um, good news is, I think you're captain, same, I've a way. Bruno Fernandez, I think that's in poor one. But if you lose 15 points, so versus your current team, what value is that Benchpus to you? Yeah, I mean, it really needs to bang, doesn't it, for it to be worth it? Well, I don't think it needs to bang, but I think to be justifiable, because there's actually you're doing it for 30, you're not doing it for 30, so you're doing it for 30. Yeah, of course. You need it to near match. If, if the team that you wildcard to in 32 matches, the current team that you've got, that's, that's good, I think. And then you're going right, well, my game will be 30 free. Yeah. Because that's what you're hoping for here. And I know it, I've, I've been in this position before, probably not with the set of fixtures that's landed as badly as this and everything just becomes so later focused towards that Benchpus. Fert, you're very bench, but what's the target? We're say 16 points. Well, do you know what? There was a possibility here that if it bangs, you're going to be getting more than that. Yeah. Quite possibly. Along with a load of dubblers, it could look fantastic. But if you lose those points the week before, I spoke for you. I spoke for it forward though, and it didn't look too, I don't mean we'll maybe come on to that in a bit. Yeah, no, when you get to 35, that's the good news. If we got to 35 and it looked like an absolute shit show, then I probably will look at something else that's, you know, other things we're going to talk about in a bit. But you know what, actually, having put it together, obviously looks fantastic in 33, 34s free here. When I got to 35, shout out, FPL team, without leads, Burnley fixture, it actually looks pretty good at the moment. You are going to miss some bits. I mean, obviously, maybe come on to my current draft at the moment, but there's no arsenal in it. And then when you get to 35, that's the big downside. But I have got three free's already. So I would get to 35 with four. So it's not like you can't do bits to kind of get up to speed with everyone that, um, David's assuming the 15 players, he picks this week, we're going to survive for 33. Well, yeah, they might not. Yeah, it's bound to be something. Just to note on the images we've got on FPL team, if you're seeing them with the projected fixtures, the expected points are based only on the single game week fixtures at the moment. And there's a couple of images, I've taken these images where Gabriel was flagged and he's now unflagged. We understand he's, he's available for us in the Champions League tonight as his Declan rise. I think you said timber and saccharon, not. Yeah, I'll tell you to set that. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, go ahead and talk through this idea. You know, obviously, we're going to start with to change your mind between now and what I suppose first question, have you activated? No, no, I've not. Okay. So you're not 100% yet. Kind of don't need to because there's been very little movement price, price wise, doesn't that? I've been checking every night. So I've taken a drop on Morgan Rodgers. That's about it, to be honest, in all of this time, you know, from when we last spotted, you know, a few weeks ago, it's clear that, you know, a lot of people are just kind of waiting and waiting, which is what you should do, which is, you know, sensible strategy. So there's been very almost no worthy, no worthy price rises, I wouldn't say. Certainly no one that I've been kind of very, very keen to get quite a couple more days yet as well. Yeah. So I've not felt the need to activate, and obviously I need this part of it's coming today. So I'm looking at this as well. Coming in, sort of about this proposed draft as it stands. So I think if I'm going to do it, and I'll, you know, with the exception of Bruno Fernandez, who is the best captain in 32, he would, he would be the only single that would sort of make the court really so, you know, for the benefit of the audio, travel bright and Bartford Bruggen stays, Jan Paul van Heck, Diego Gomez is quite exciting. I think I know he's on nine yellows. Yeah, I'm happy about that, right? Yeah. But I'll just change him if he gets booked. I mean, he's not going to get booked to the weekend, is he? If he gets booked, he misses all of the double, doesn't he? Yeah, that's what I mean. I'll just make a transfer in 30s, really fast. There's just, there's just maybe a school of thought, will he play, I suppose, if he's on nine, nine yellows? And then because after this weekend, that's, that's it, isn't it? That's, that's their 30 second game. Yeah. Yeah. I'll get that some thought. But I think you'll talk into some this weekend, you're asking what you think to Diego Gomez. He is on Clash your correspondences. Wait, I'm not by it. And carrying on the triple city. So Nico Erily just feels obvious. He's playing so well. And so on. So many, finally, I might buy him after 32 game weeks, really hard and stays. Obviously, only two Chelsea, Col Parmer, throughout Pedro, three leads, Dominic Calvert-Luin, got Pascal Strauk, I mean, I'm a little bit undecided on lead to defenders at the moment. Could be a B-shell, could be a Bogle, James Justin, not too sure. Carl D'Alo, as the, the reserve keeper and three Bournemouth, so double defence James Hill, Marcus Senezi, James Tavanier.
Yeah, when you get to gimmick 33 you've got 14 dubblers and Bruno Fernandez away at Chelsea as part of your bank of part of my bench, who's would be the current plan Okay, just briefly before we move on there's one obvious thing here to certainly question on Just two Chelsea Yeah Those two feel like a given parmer gel Pedro. I don't think gel Pedro is not a definite given You could definitely go Calvator in and well back For example no Chelsea defense Over there you go in I mean Chica Raider is the one I suppose isn't it I don't want Robert Sanchez. Oh great ice to risky And so it's not playing this week is he so you can maybe look at and so Because he would be I think the problem with Enzo Fernandez now is obviously Chelsea have decided to suspend him themselves for the game This weekend following comments. He made me an action break. How do you know that he's back in the team for fair? I think he will be yeah, but I'd probably not gonna do it. Kaysado's another one, but I think he's also on nine years I mean netto est about yeah not feeling that myself to be honest. Hossin That's a cat now Try to rise above that one city It's just the obvious free isn't it a Riley Semenio, Holland it feels like the only plausible turn it is would be if you preferred new Miz through a Riley Turkey maybe quite okay. Yeah, I just think yes man knows I just feel obvious I think I think by consequence of Chelsea defense not looking good You will go a city defender. Yeah, I think he's a consequence of that Brighton I think there's lots to choose from there. Yeah, yeah, I think Van Heck I wouldn't piss about with if you want a bright defend if you want to go over a brother and that's fine But looking at Cadillog lose or stuff like that instead. I wouldn't bother just go with Van Heck attacking guys as well bet mitoma Minter Gomez is popular Matt V for will do well for Defcon Jack Hinchwood I've referenced a few times recent has been playing number 10 position actually there's a lot there to choose from from Brieher in the sense. I wouldn't want to take that Gomez risk personally Leeds defensively obviously rode on a strap picked up probably not strax. Sorry, I'm so sorry Stacked picked up problems at a weekend. That's a real shame on stack Because that would have been a nice one to go with he'd have been you don't know at the moment if he's going to be available for the weekend or not But judging by the picture we put on Instagram. I'd suggest probably not Yes, a shame that because he posted a picture of his ankle and Yeah, it's double the size I think is fair to say Defensively, I think Pijol's the ones to go for now He's planning the middle of the back free. I don't see that change in I think he's the most likely to be in and Around the defcons now we covered that cut the weeks ago and he's cheap as well. Yeah, so if it ends up being shit Fine stays on the bench. D'Alo I think probably will keep displacing go because despite Lucas Perry heroics on Sunday There was one big clanger in there that you got away with as well I Don't mind any of the other defensive ones. I just prefer Bigeil as the cheapest and most likely to hit defcons I think rest of the midfielders are Rhyde which would include so Brandon Aronsson at the moment because I think it feels like recently had moved more towards a two up front And it can look like more like a layer of free so even if Aronson is in there. It's a little bit of a deeper role for him So it doesn't feel quite as appealing from a fancy perspective Burnley is it just ignore? Feel that way doesn't it? I think I think the fact that boomer from Leeds have doubled Probably rules out Burnley because you might have been looking at his steps or something like that I mean you're not gonna pick him over Hill and Beijel for example Can't really can't really see it if you prefer the Brabko because you're worried about D'Alo I think that's fine. I think Zianne Fleming we spoke about a cut the weeks ago Can't see how you pick him over Calvittlo and all well back or Chalpetro basically Jaden Anson he would be a kind of real differential Rogue one When it go for a DEF con flauntina Louise for example, I don't think you're going to boom of Petri rich comes to the table just by virtue of being cheap Hill and Sinesse Alex him and his is another one who's on nine yellows. Yes would be a for it agent traffic can be considered But I wouldn't over hill or Sinesse personally if it was one or here was Sinesse I'd go hill Just because the saving the money and what you might have got the money I use it now But it might be more useful for you further down the lion's I write will hillstown the bench maybe Midfielders tabernies stand out. I think now you wouldn't pick Ray and over him at this moment or Alex Scott over him So taberniere will be very popular Not keen on ever nelson or copier this stage So yeah So you could go to Bournemouth midfield and just one defensive if you want free It's another one you might end up with double defense a little bit like what you've done with Brian To come back to your draft David the glaring thing that stands out It was looking at James Hill way to Arsenal Which could obviously be Marcus and Essie instead based on the way you've set this up or Pascal struck away to Manchinired kind of like just thinking he's does he start on four points though? Hill in that in that game really because he does rock up the def course. That's if they can see one. Yeah Just think no, I'm kind of just gonna take it on the chin game We'd 30 to be honest that the way I'm feeling at the moment like I know I know a red arrow is coming in 32 But I'm pretty sure a green arrow will come in So I guess the reason for having this debate and I got this and it's obvious It's the one in the best of 33 is are you maybe just better off going? I'll go gabber on still instead of son essay Pretty mean definitely make sure team look better this week But obviously it's worse for you for eight because now you're just a connect gabber over single way to Manchester say But it's also going to save you a transfer because it's going to probably feel inevitable you're not buying him as well Yeah, I mean, I should have said this at the start and in that wild car draft I've left as you said you can have you can have what you want really can't I can't yeah? So there's 3.7 million three points of a million in the bank here So it's not a problem to get Gabrielle back in 35 and I think I would probably do that to be honest because If I'm going to do it I'm just gonna I'm gonna do it properly I think So yeah, he's obviously got the good fixture this week Gabrielle, but then away at city. I don't want I don't want to see that on a bench boost 34 I'll be free hitting anyway, so I'll just get him back in 35. I think is the current one Okay, it's just so it's a think about are you gonna go wrong? I'm very aware of that. Are you were sacrificing a little bit at the hope of the bench post to have a better team and a better player in 32 plus an extra transfer available for 35. Yeah, it is a valid so valid debate to be hard here. Yeah, as I said, I've not pressed the button yet so well There's still time to think about it This is what your team would look like in 35 same thing untouched as you said you land 3.7 million in the bank for free transfers and very importantly As you're really alone too as much as 32 might look a bit shit of what your wild card mean to his the good news It doesn't land terribly for game week 35 and almost whatever you pick Isn't gonna land to too badly in the sense even you here probably the worst of it is probably bright away to new castle Which isn't exactly a fixture to fear anyway But you've managed to put all your bright and on the bench away to new castle So your team Looks okay, and that's by virtue of the fact that the teams coming out from the doubles have decent fixtures City away to everton is a challenge, but it's still city those are the ones you'd want to have the harder fixture Chelsea at home to forest. Bournemouth or at home to palace. Leads are at home to Bernal That's essentially your team. Yeah, plus Bruno Fernandez obviously at home to Liverpool So you land 35 okay We've transfers in hand To add presumably at this stage arsenal may be a priority for you But might also not be The Arsenal of Palace I think well if they go to the yet he had them win Yeah, you even want to chase after them. Yeah, I might be doing that. Yeah I'm sure at that stage they're not just gonna just you know play a week inside They've seen the damage of if they go to week that what's happened at the weekend We saw we live up a last season didn't we when it was done it was He wouldn't really what once in a minute exactly Which is yeah Yeah But yeah, I think you would get to here as it stands with what we know You'll probably want to get to Arsenal. You've got the phrase that you imply. So that's the good news I think we're drawn to do this with the negative as well. We focus on the negative of 32 Actually what we often do is we bench post and we we forget about what it looks like afterwards Well, this lands okay. It does yeah, that's really important. I was I wasn't surprised. Yeah I was pleasantly surprised how it looks into I've had a run through look to future weeks and it looks fine and this will probably explain why it looks fine So I think if you're wildcard in now and Every chance you're gonna bench boost for a what you probably want to ask yourself is what's my alternative if like you you haven't pressed the chip So there's a lot of kind of wildcard 32 versus 35 debate going on This table we've got on screen. I'll read through some of it for the audio listeners And shows you basically a table slight updates in terms of fixed difficulty that I showed you a few weeks ago And stress then that the teams that were projected to double which at that time included obviously Arsenal new castle We're going to land quite well 35 38 At that point we didn't project leads to be one of those teams and leads for me
For me, a top of the shop game with 35 to 38 in terms of fixed difficulty, home games against Burnley, Brighton, away games against Tottenham Westam. So leads to the end run great. In fact, there are only real bad fixtures is this coming weekend away to Manchester United. So leads great. That runs great. You've now lost Arsenal from the players you want for the double, but you know that's going to probably be your priority when you land here. Their second best. 30 looks good, 35, 38. Obviously the bonus of being near certain that is the additional fixture against Crystal Palace to go in now. Wolves have a good run. You're not that public. Newcastle would have looked great as well. If they had the double, I've heard a few of our patrons say the blessing is I'm now not tempted by newcastle. Well, look at that. That's a good thing. Not having any Gordon India team. Although you do David, that's a positive you can wild card him out, can't you? Chelsea runs through fine. Game 36 way to Liverpool looks a bit ugly, but otherwise forest at home talking about home sundown away runs fine. Bright runs fine. It's not a great schedule, but home to Wolves 36 looks good. Also, home game gets managed tonight. Final day away games gets newcastle and leads. Bruno Fernandez managed to unite runs fine. So the question has to be if your world card in now, your bench boost in 30 frame, if you assume under that basis for a hit 34. You're going to land with a team 35 similar to what you've got and others are going to land with something similar. They'll have their own nuances and slight differences, but it's going to land something like that. How do you feel looking at this table with the way you're going to go to knowing that there's a different, different group of people going to wild card around about this time? What differences can they come up with? Now I feel okay about it. That's one of the things. The ball's the big one, isn't it? But like you've just said, you know, that there may be, it may all be done by then. Yeah, I mean, other bits, if you wanted or the United, you might need to look at that. Palace is a bit, feels like there's a nice little swing from Bournemouth to Palace when you get here. You know, you've had you, you've gone with from, for the double. They play Palace in 35 just looking at this and then, you know, they've got games projected games away at full home to city, not the best, whereas Palace, you've got to want them for that double. I mean, their fixtures themselves aren't fantastic. Are they away at Bournemouth? It's amazing that you're going to want them for that double. I mean, looking at the fixtures they've got left, if they didn't have Manchester City away, you wouldn't be much interested in them. It wouldn't be in Chelsea. Yeah, it's a mental, but it does it to us. It does, yeah. It's what it could be. It's worth saying as we've said, David, could be that it's Bournemouth double instead. It could be, yeah. Yeah. You can imagine that you can even the fair if you Bournemouth facet. Right. And obviously, this is the point you'll know, here's one benefit to World Card 35. You'll know at this point, who's one knows FA Cup semi-finals. While going to know, like we said, going into this week, you will know what's happening for 33, 34 before the 32 deadline comes. This will be the same. We'll also know who's still in Europe as well. So who's, yep, rotation, who's still in Europe? And also going to know who's got their eyes focused on certain other things. We've said leads fixtures might look great for the running, arguably best of the lot. But what about under a circumstance where leads between now and 35 win their games? If they go to Old Trafford and win, and then beat Bernley, and then get a result against Bournemouth, but they're safe, aren't they? Imagine they win then when their FA Cup semi-finals as well. Unbelievably, they might go to Tottenham in '36 from Bro Type. Why do I mention that? That's important because there's a few people going to World Card here and Benchboost 36. Well, you've said, you said before we finished, you hated Benchboost 36, didn't you? Remember you were saying that you weren't a fan at all? Okay. Let's have a look at this. So what I've done is I've done a draft for 35, based on the idea of trying to Benchboost 36. I've just tried to look at it from a different perspective and try and look at what the World Card 32 Benchboost 33 crowd. You've obviously looked at your likely route. I've tried to look at the different route, right? Because I think people, I don't want to set to Benchboost 33. There's a crowd who want to do that. So I'll put this together as a possible draft for Game with 35 World Card. We have the intention of Benchboost 36. So same frame managed to set you players. A Riley, Semenio, Harlan, Trebal Arsenal goes in. Gabrielle, Timber, I put Yocca as in this. Could be someone different, but I think you would go Trebal Arsenal in any case. Bruno Fernandez would stay given. Morgan Rogers, stop laughing at the back. I know, but what did you do? A very good 35 36. And ultimately you are going to use some transfers. You're going to be forced to and 37 38 to use some. Rogers has top number home 35 Burnley away 36. Move it on to something else for 37 38. Up be the ideal. Darlow and Calvitt Lewin for still coverage of leads. Just two down. OK. Treble Palace on the basis of at this point, presumably knowing that they would maybe double in 36. Dean Henderson, Chris Richards, Ishmaelessar, Bench the two palace players. Pete Yampal Van Heck, I think. Away to Newcastle, Bench him. Harry Wilson. If you're like me and Bulkfeller at 5.2, he's a very difficult player to get rid of. And particularly when, although he goes to Arsenal 35, Bench him, if you're setting a Bench Bruce 36, rather than 33, clearly you ain't having the team full of doubles. But you probably are going to want to end up with three set you and three palace. So there's just six. So at same team untouched 35 to Bench Bruce 36, Bench Bruce would look something like Darlow away to Tottenham. Harry Wilson at home to Bournemouth during timber away to West Ham. Yampal Van Heck at home to walls. You can have debates there whether you'd play Wilson at home to Bournemouth or Calvitt are in a way to Tottenham. Little debates as fine or maybe you wouldn't want to play Rogers. Or a way to Bernley. Don't really want to bench a player playing Bernley personally. Yep. That on the face of it looks strong. It does, yeah. Now, the good news if you were a Cobb before 35, there's things you'll know more of. So for example, if you are sitting there and you think, "Shit, Leeds are in an FA Cup Final and they've got themselves safe." I can't set to Bench Bruce 36 the week before the FA Cup Final because I'm now worried about what Leeds players are going to play at Tottenham. Take the Leeds players out. Go for someone else. So we will have that info. The scary bit I'm saying is people actually looking to World Card 33 to Bench Bruce in SAFER 36. I think that's too far. A long time away, yeah. I think that makes me nervous. Yeah. Particularly as well, I know what I'd already said. People are, "Oh, I'll had some Palace then. I'll had some Palace and some Arsenal. The Arsenal's fine. You know that most likely. But hiding the Palace when it might not be them that doubles in 36. It probably will be, but it might not be. You're sick. Oh, now I've got a Bench Bruce 37 instead." The later it gets the worse it's going to be. If you've used an example before, and I don't think this will happen, but I'll use them because I've got him here on this draft. The Harry Wilson example. Where Fulhamer got nothing to play for, perhaps at the end of the season. And he says, "I'm not signed new contract." And they go, "Right, well, we're going to start thinking about next season. Now you're not playing." Yeah. Don't you agree? Yeah. The further you leave it between a World Card and a Bench post, the worse it's going to be. Or can go wrong, yeah. Yeah. I mean, I've been in March 36 as my triple captain week because of everything left. That's the other big problem with Ferk. Yes. Yes. It's highly likely to be Highland at a meoeuvre of the excess of 200%. And those who got the triple captain say there's probably not much to debate. It'd be two home games in a double that will look great. The only thing to say is, obviously, again, if it's Palace on the Wednesday, if the title was gone, they would have played a second game. Because they'll have to, right, F.A. Cutthorn win three days. That has to be a possibility. But I think even under that basis, at that point you go, "Well, I'm just going to triple captain, Highland at Hemsford Brentford and whatever's the second game is the second game." We're still what you'll end up doing, I think. Probably get one swanning across the two probably, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I don't mind Wild Card in 35, two Benchbruz to 36. I don't mind it because at least then you've got your info close to point. You've got the most amount of information, 35 and 36. I don't like the Wild Card 33 to Benchbruz 36. I just think there's too much information that will change. The thing is, it's not like you go, "Oh, Wild Card 23 to set to Benchbruz 26." And if it's an Ith, I went to shit. Okay, cool. Back off, this is our opportunities. You're now in panic mode because it aren't our opportunities. The later you leave that Benchbruz to where it'll be, I don't like, I've seen people even talk about Benchbruz 38. I good luck getting 15 players. 38. After teams 1, I've not been apply for. I think similar 37. 37 also has the jugglingness in the sense that. You're going to have probably four teams that will play in 37 who will probably play after an FA Cup Final. You want to bench first? Not really. Yeah, could go to extra time, could have injuries, I want to say Mark Gays and the example, missed balls at home. In 37 I think last year he picked up a problem like in the last minute of the FA Cup Final. Now 37, 38, I hate 36 I think probably last opportunity, but only really if you're going down the wildcard 35 route and has said if you bench first, if you say it, you blocked yourself out of triple cap and see if you've still got it left. I do think it's, I quite like the idea of if triple cap is gone. So if you took the Gabriel route, you're like, okay, this is one way I can compete with a Harlan triple captainers. I'll take Harlan's small, probably red in the book for that week, but I've got three extra players or four extra players. Hopefully that is a different way maybe of doing it. So how do you feel competing against that? If that's what others are maybe going to do and you're going to take the 32 wildcard 33 bench, how do you feel competing against that? I think I feel okay to be honest because I think by then we could be into rotation season and as I've just said, you know, with everything left, I kind of, I feel like I need to start getting on with it really using these chips now and the best triple cap to see week with what the current plan is, is 36 at the moment. So it's not like I won't have anything extra versus people with no chips left in 36. So yeah, for triple captain Harlan, see how the lay of the land is when we get there in terms of what city you've got to play for. That's the plan anyway at the moment. Okay. Do you think if you're a different, if you only had one free chance or? Maybe. Yeah. How relevant is that that we think at the moment? I mean, it's something else we've screened regularly. I will play as well transfers where you can like. Yeah. Those who have free for at the moment in a more advantageous position, definitely those just with the one because if you're setting now to then bench boost 33 with one free transfer, then you're presumably free hit 34 you literally come back 35 but still just a one free, one free transfer, right? Yeah, I mean, I've got one into probably put free Arsenal win and maybe do some different things. I do feel good having the three free transfers. Well, four when we get to get me 35, that's the benefit of having not the massive amount in recent weeks. So yeah, we'll get on surely for people who've got not many free transfers and not many chips left. It's probably going to zone in on a few teams in particular aren't you? Maybe don't double at all, but yeah. Okay. So I think you're going to wildcard for it to bench boost for it for that's the current plan. Yeah. And again, consider this if we were to free hit this week, don't do that place. What might it look like? I put together a hypothetical free hit team for this week and I'm sure David you and I'll do this again for the weekend on Friday and we'll probably be looking at your final draft. I think that's point. But this is the kind of point about this way. I put a draft together. Our best team you put together for this week. And I've done Celebigabri on rice and it's kind of fit is dependent on Arsenal at the moment. That's what I've done. I've done treble united, boomo for Nand is Kurnia, stick them all in. Dan have to choose to train Kurnia boomer. But for Brogdon still for a bit of bright and Virgil Van Dyke home to full him, bowing at home to walls, Tiago home to Everton, probably still go Harland, I think probably a way to Chelsea. You could go to your home to walls, Alderetti home to Tottenham, some cheap and maybe less of I've put on the bench. Point being is it's very red. When you just look at it visually, it's very red. You got any red players going in on that wild card David. So it got the same cats in. Let's start with good news. Just him, isn't it? Just the name of that's the point. But it's also an interesting point about this and this might be something for people to consider because I totally understand. I'm going to press the button, press the wild card button. And if you have, this isn't the time to be, I've made a mistake or regretting it, this is it now, you can't change it, right? So is there a different way about going to do it? Well, yes, it is. Each you wild card into something like that. Now, if you wild card into something like that, it's going to be free hit for you free. Yes. Because you got the doubles. Yeah. If you put a free hit 34, I think the draft that you put together, and I did that in five minutes, won't look that dissimilar to the draft I've just put together for 32. No. Not a very similar. Yeah. So if you wild card in now and went fully red, you know, heavy United Liverpool Arsenal, the three of them also have good home fixtures in 34. It's a very differential way to play this. But particularly maybe if you're chasing rank, what can I do that's different, et cetera, et cetera. Do I think it'll work? No, probably not. But you could take that route. Wild card with something completely different to what the template wild card will look like this week. Free hit for you for a, you still covered that nicely. And you love the best of 32 and 34. Now when you walk into 35, it's not going to look so great, but you're on an opposite end of the spectrum. So whereas the bench proves 33 crowd are probably like, right, I've got to get Arsenal, you'll be looking at it. Well, I've got, I've got the Arsenal. I now know to maybe need to get to city, but you could also set it up to bench, Holland in 34. Okay, maybe I'll just need to buy some in your or Riley or something in 35. You're attacking it the same way, but just from a different angle. United and Liverpool playing each other in 35 doesn't help. No, that's what I'd add to that. But it's, it's another way to play it. And that will land you with the best of 32, 33, 34. 34. Aren't many other people going to have the best of 32, 33, 34 at the moment? That's true. That will probably get you it. Something to consider. It might make the running more of a struggle. Are you tempted by that at all? No. I wouldn't wildcard into my existence. I wouldn't wildcard into a shit team. You're about to. I'm just thinking this, this so that there are quite a few similarities to my existence in team. I would rather just not press the button and just leave the team. I've got rather than wildcard in 32, I think. Okay. So that's an option. Leave the team. Hold off for a week. You know, I want to make your team worse this week, but you still want to bench boost somewhere. So plenty of you sitting there with this idea at the moment, got a good team this week. I don't want to touch it, but I do want the best of 33. So you could wildcard in 33. My consequence, you're all free here in 34. If you have that chip, if you don't have the free hit, you're not going to do that. But you could then bench boost 35. That's then still also allows you to use a triple captain ship, presumably on early in Holland in 36 as well. So I put this together as a draft for a 33 wildcard. Now the obvious thing that stands out straight away is that bench. So Dean Henderson, a little flavor of maybe palace for potential double Bruno Fernandez on the bench. Double Arsenal defense. I've put Gabriel and Celeb are there just for safety at the moment because we've got bit without about timber at the moment of the stuff, right? So that's your bench. You're not bench boosting this. That's your actual bench bench in it in 33. And you go very similar to the rest. Treble City, O'Reilly, Cementio, Holland. Treble Chelsea, Palmer, Gelpejo, Casado. Ah, but he's on nine yellows. Yeah, but if he makes it through this way, it doesn't matter anymore. And I tell you what, if Moise's Casado doesn't, Moise's Casado will do well on a double game week. Yeah, he will. Yeah. You'd think he'd hit Defcon at least once when you're at it. Of course he would. Yeah. But it's six, seven on the floor, isn't it? Probably in terms of for a double game week. Treble leads, Darlo Bigeol Calvitt, Lewin, double ball, Muffields, Avenue. Now what you might stand out there as noticeable here with this draft is there's no Brighton. Yeah. The reason for that is they've got the worst of the fixtures coming out from 33 into 35, new cast or way. And this is set to potentially bench boasts in 35 bench boasts team untouched. You're obviously putting the double Arsenal defense straight back in your team along with Bruno Fernandez bench boasts 35 Henderson Hill, same fixture, Bournemouth against Crystal Palace, Jacob Bigeol home to Bernlee, Moise's Casado at Hunter's Night and Forest. Well, I like, yeah. I mean, as much as we said, Brighton are fun and the real quiet, a lot of viable sort of options for it. There's no one absolutely must have. I don't think there's a different Brighton. They can't be taken on. So, yeah. Now, if you set that way and you go bench boasts 36, you're going to go heavy Brighton instead because they've got walls at home in 36. But I think if you're setting Wildcaw 33 to bench boasts 35, Brighton, Newcastle just feels a bit ugly. Yeah, agree. I think this team on paper, the 35 double Arsenal against Fulham, Fernandez against Liverpool, you've got treble leads at home to Bernlee, treble Chelsea at Hunter Forest, the double Bournemouth at home to Crystal Palace, the treble city away to Everton, Dean Henderson away to Bournemouth with a potential, I've got an investment in the double that's about
come for Crystal Palace whether that's 36 or even the small chance of 37. Really good that that's the that's the most sensitive I would. I've been so far to stray away from the current path I think. How'd you feel about that versus what you want to do? This feels like the competitive one to me. It is without shadow, without you because of the Arsenal, you just, you're retaining better players. Let's be honest aren't you from better teams? Now as well, you can use the transfers that you've built up to attack very easily into another Arsenal or Crystal Palace further down the line or even a third Bummuff if it becomes it's going to be Bummuff instead for the following week. Yeah, that's decent. Yeah. I'd be tempted by that, I think. It's the thing you've thrown at me that I'm most intrigued by, I would say. Okay. As I said, start guys. This year really is plait your way. We're a load of different ways to do this. Even wildcard in this week. Benchbrews Fertie 3, free Hit Fertie 4, wildcard this week. Benchbrews Fertie 4, Fertie 5, you could set this to go down that route. I mean, you wouldn't wildcard Fertie 2, the Benchbrews Fertie 5. You could wildcard Fertie 2 to Benchbrews Fertie 3, I would say free Hit Fertie 4. You could do it now. Hold on to Benchbrews for later. It's a different way. I've pressed the button. I don't want to overcommit to Fertie 3. Okay. Look at it for further down the line. Perhaps. Wildcard Fertie 3, free Hit Fertie 4, Benchbrews Fertie 5, or Fertie 6, the shown year. I think if you take Fertie 6 rather than Fertie 5, you're going back heavy on Bratton rather than one of the other teams. I'm on two different possible strategies. I'm either wildcard Fertie 3, free Hit Fertie 4, or free Hit Fertie 3, or wildcard Fertie 3, wildcard Fertie 3, wildcard Fertie 5. Yeah. I think it's probably more likely to be free Hit Fertie 3, wildcard Fertie 5 because I think I'll take quite a bit of value in the information for the final four weeks. Yeah. I think if a wildcard Fertie 4 haven't got that. The other thing for me, and this would be different for other people is I have 11 in play for Fertie 4, as it stands. Yeah, it's decent. Now that looks a bit shit on paper in the sense of that Malik Chowel way to Arsenal, free Brent for the way to Man's United. But if I don't make a transfer this way, I've got four transfers to probably just highly that. And then wildcard Fertie 5, maybe not feeling like I need the transfers for the running. And obviously, every each week I'll build one backup. I haven't decided yet which wrote, I think I'm influenced by the fact I don't need to do too much with Fertie 4, whereas I think if I did, I'd go, yeah, I'll wildcard Fertie 3, free Hit Fertie 4. If I still had the bench boost in play, I think I'll take this bench boost Fertie 5 route, you know. It does look good on paper. Yeah. I'd just be, I know exactly what I said after that FFK 4, and I said, if these doubles happen like this, I'm telling you I will not wildcard. Now I've had, because I fucked the bench boost and I have to make that decision, I don't think I would have, I don't think I've done it to myself. You must be, I know your bench boost didn't go as you hope, but it's actually quite a nice feeling not to think about it. 100% knows, isn't it? Yeah, because I know that in my mind it'd be like, when's the best bench boost I can have? 100% it's Fertie 3. Yeah, that's where I'm at. So for the result, Fertie 3, this is important, I think. Best weeks wildcard, Fertie 3. Best week free Hit Fertie 3. Best week of bench boost Fertie 3. We ain't doing all of them. Nope, you can't. A few things we need to be aware of, English clubs in Europe. So obviously first legs start obviously this week, second legs next week, that is going to have a bearing on things later in the season. I realised probably for Night and Forest, it's probably not going to impact too much. Aston Villa, it won't impact too much, but again, for the wildcard, Fertie 5 crowd, you may well look and see Tottenham and Bernley as the next two fiction, I think I want to have something of it, Fertie 5. Fertie 6. You'll feel much more of a want to have something of it if they lose the balonja over the next week or so. Whereas the Tottenham fixture might sit in between those European semifinals and they might rotate a bit and you go, I'm going to leave it, tightly understandable. Liverpool, I don't foresee going through at this moment, but it is 52. It's going to have an impact on things further down the line, including their game week 34 fixture. Liverpool play champ is league the midweek after the weekend. I think many of us have got Eckertekke this week have no real idea of if he's going to start on Saturday or not. I probably feel if he starts in Paris and plays good minutes there and there's every chance he's not going to start against full of this weekend. That might be similar for 34, maybe further down the line. FA Cup distractions. I think for city we have to be aware of it. I don't think like if you've got your triple caps and see left, you can't overthink it and think if Arsenal win at city then and city winning the FA Cup semi then they put all their eggs in FA Cup semi and triple captain will be shit shit. If it turns out to be shit, it turns out to be shit. But there is an implication on city towards the end of the season on that. But I think probably only to a double game week. Probably because otherwise it's one game a week with them being out here. I think for leads they need to be in awareness of 36. If they do well over the next four and have an FA Cup final you cannot blame them if they're safe and go to Tottenham and go sorry this is the biggest game of our lives at a weekend. Yeah. And it will feel like that for leads if they make the final one. They'll give Chelsea a full match. They've played very well against Chelsea twice in the league this season. Perhaps a bit unlucky in the game at Stanford Bridge. They space in between games. Spoke about that towards the start. That is relevant. It is going to be relevant when you're thinking about things like Wellbeck versus Calvitt. I think you and I are judging on our drafts. Have a preference for Calvitt learn? Yeah, I do. Yeah. Yeah. I think he feels, you just never know where well that deer in terms of spacing of games and they do over the captain's. They feel a little bit more secure with him I think. He's a lot of those also quite bit cheaper than Wellbeck and leads up better fixtures than Brighton I think for the foreseeable. So yeah, it'll I'm pretty sure it'll be calvator for me. One thing to note with those two and you can use this for other comparisons as well is obviously Calvitt learn as a fixture to follow in weekend to worry about Danny Wellbeck doesn't. So under a scenario let's say where Brighton versus Chelsea went to the first day after Brighton have gone to touch them on the Saturday and then Brighton aren't playing for nine 10 days afterwards. I think that then makes Wellbeck a better choice. Okay. But the other way if Leeds play on the first day you then potentially worry about Calvitt learning playing on the first night three days for an FA Cup so far. But that might also be relevant to how well Leeds do against man's United wolves and bull moth before that fixture even comes around right not bought with who they play first for or for just the two games isn't it sorry man's United wolf might have a relevance to that. So then either way so I think there's more narratives that point you towards Wellbeck I think but in Wellbeck plays Tuesday you go does he play Saturday and Tuesday. So in any case the day spacing is going to be quite relevant on a lot of stuff here and that may even include Manchester City whether they play so Tuesday or Wednesday in Gameweek 36 perhaps. A reminder on yellow cards sort of a four players on nine yellows who if they're put this weekend will miss the double. In Bernardo Silver's case particularly he needs to make it through two games because the suspension amnesty ends after the 30 second match in Manchester City where we see a game short at the moment no one's going Bernardo Silver anyway but for Alex Jimenez Moesicaseido and Diego Gomez if you put them in on your wild card this week and they get booked I don't have sympathy I'm really honest because none of them are good enough to not think all there's not alternatives within the same teams or within the game if you're sitting there it's like Cole Palmer's on nine yellows I'll take the chance I get it these guys are not worth that chance in my opinion so if you go Diego Gomez David and he gets booked it's happening isn't it you know that okay pros and cons of wild card so the pros of doing it now you're going to get the best at a bench boost for a fairy fair that's clear you're also going to land well for 35 and probably the running not too badly at all the more triumphs you having the bank the more that's going to help the con is you make your team worse this way in most scenarios reality to put it mildly yeah wild card 33 you can obviously set to baby bench boost 35 but the other thing with wild card 33 is you still keep the good of 32 we said the difficulty will most probably work and have the best of 32 33 34 well if you wild card 33 and free hip 34 and you leave yourself with a better team 32 you are you are you can set it to bench boost 35 or 36
if you wish. I think I don't quite know why you'd wildcard 34. I think one solution to wildcard in 34 might be the group without a free hit. You head towards 33, get the best of what you can get, dead end it, and then you free your wildcard back into 34. Picky 11 players, keep Harland's maybe city players on the bench so they're ready to go for you for 35 and run from now. So those without a free hit, wildcard 34 maybe appeals. The pros to wildcard in 35 is you've got the information from the FA Cup semis, you'll know exactly what the lay of the land is for 36, 37 and you'll have a much better idea in terms of teams and European competition, who's got semi-finals, all that kind of like, who's on the bench, etc, free hit 33, 34. Take strategy away from everything, what's in your team, etc, etc. Which week would you rather free hit? Just the volume of doubles, it feels like 33. I think so. Yeah, that's just logic. Now, if you're sitting there and you've come out the double and you're like, well, I've already got a shit load of Bournemouth leads and Brighton for whatever reason, then I probably had a quite good, I need to free hit 34. If you're in that scenario, then obviously that's better for you. I think the example I used, where I've already got 11 in play for 34, it's not going to be the best 11, but probably competes well. Whereas for me, I'm sitting there with four doubles for 33. Four decent ones, by the way, Vibrog and Hill, Cementio, Harland, but there's no way I can get to what I want for 34. I can get to closer to what I want for 34 and for 34 without a doubt for me. But I may still take the free hit 34 if I decide to work hard for 34. It's still a possibility, give me the best of both worlds. But yeah, I think for many people, free hit 33 will be right in terms of if it's just a choice between those two, you are going to add fixtures. The chance are you're going to add more fixtures by free hitting 34 and 34 hitting 34. Even if you've got shit for 34. I'm sitting there with treble Brent for the way to Man United in 34 and not giving it a moment's thought, I think, could Brent for go down win? Well, of course it could. I'm going to take that out, aren't I? But you find up sticking with Tiago, is it the worst thing in the world? No, United nearly always can see, don't make for example. Okay, triple captain C, Harland. Yeah, if it doesn't work out, it's like just swing at something else, isn't it? Salah, final day or an Arsenal player against Bern Lee 37. It's not the word I'm out there. I mean, that's that's that's only like a sentimental one of my from my point of view. But yeah, I've got no problem going down the romantic route in 38 of need be the best week for bench boost has said is 30 free. But it might not be the best set for it. Yeah, 35 is an alternative. There is even the small case. Remember that example, I give the people wild card in 32 free hitting 33 that you go all into bench boost 34. It then makes the manipulation afterwards very different. But again, it's a very different way to potentially go about playing it. I don't think it's not the most unusual suggestion I've ever heard. The later you leave it, unless I like it. Once it gets into 36, I get a bit nervous with the people, I think. Yeah, yeah. Just think there's too much stuff towards the end in terms of rotations. And ultimately, it's not like, oh, I've got a double game week player only played once. What we're talking about here is what happened to me? Single game week players have just done this. Yeah, it's when's being born and stuff. Yeah, stuff you didn't know. Okay. So I think for those who to repeat, for those who are about free here, you're in the worst scenario. The easiest way to manage it is probably to wild card in 34. It's shit. To cover the place. Probably the easiest way to manage it. Just go all into all's 30 free best of what you can. And then wild card 34, put some city on the bench ready for 35, etc. If you've used the wild card, then you haven't got your full decision that people are making now. Yeah. They were almost the big winners, weren't they? Of all those results. It's just going to be, it's kind of the reverse of the free here. It's like, well, which week will sit back for you? 33, 34, 34 and free here the other. Yeah. If you haven't got wild card or free here, prepare for some red arrows. It's frankly that's where you're at. Yeah. So you just, you're clinging on. Yeah. Anything we've missed, David. Don't think so. No, there's quite a lot to, I think we feel like we cover quite a bit. Yeah. I honestly thought, exactly after this was going to be 20 minutes. And thank you. Ask them for a change. Matt Miyapo for a weekend. Cheers. I was appreciated. Okay. Find some Twitter cues to cover off first, David. Before we do that, I'll just cover the content for the rest of this week. So that show with Nico tomorrow. This one's been quite intense. I'm going to make my transfers and not press the button. Oh shit, I thought it was a sadty deadline. I'd want to mess this one up. Might do your favour. Yeah, might do. Don't sit there with like a minus 28 no David. Okay, two air questions. So our friend FPL tractor. He's asked a question. Which goal? They're good. Good day yesterday. It's which might be back on the class of the correspondence next season. Which players no matter what strategy would you think most teams should own Gabrielle Harland? Any others? Maybe a lead's enable if perhaps. He's not mentioning but I think Brunifan Anders is the one isn't he? Like it's kind of whatever path you're on is just a solid week and we can pick isn't he? But I feel like most people listen to this or most certainly got him already. If okay, whether you bench Bruce for a free or you view wild cove for a free or even if you free hit for a free. There's six or seven players that nearly everyone's going to have. So I would say the wild card and a free hit crowd possibly bench Fernandez or don't own Fernandez. But in any case generally speaking, it'd be part of the template. The city trio. For me, that's arguing amongst yourself to even think about anything different to a Riley some in your Holland at the moment. If you prefer noon as fine. If you prefer to check, you find, but that's going to be a very template for a cold Palmer by consequence. I think particularly of Arsenal losing is now going to be very popular. Yeah. So jail pressure. One of Calvin Lurin or well back is going to be popular. Marcus Tabanill is going to be very popular because he's the outstanding ball with attacker in my opinion. I think a ball with defender is going to land in most teams. I think a leads defender, be it Dalo, Bigele, whatever people chose is going to land in a lot of teams. Yeah. That's a lot. It's going to look quite similar, but it's the other weeks that might actually look different. Yeah. If you think about it, the teams that wild card this week are going to look so different to the teams that don't. This is good for the game. Can't accuse me of copying anymore if I do wild card this week. I mean, how many of you might catch me yet, mate? We live in a row. I couldn't work out. You managed to get 13 more points than me last week when you got the same fucking same. I couldn't work it out. Stay tuned for more reaction videos on Twitter. There were quite a few people asking how best to play it if they've already built up for four or five free transfers. It's like when to push, when to be aggressive. I guess it's all team dependent, but is it almost kind of get through, if you can get through 33 with as many doubles as you can and then hold off your chips to learn, basically use your free transfers to do what you can or store them for later on in the season with more uncertainty. The more you've got, the more luxury you have, so I'll give you an example. Let's say I take this path of running through 34 and a wild card.
or free hit 33. So my only week, I'm thinking about 32 and 34. Let's say I free hit 33. I'm only thinking about 32 and 34. So in terms of players to target for me, it's only five times. I'm ready after me. I've all got home games in 32, 34. It's his arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Sunderland and West Ham. Those are the five teams. Now I could go hill. So if you think about James here, one of the circumstance, he's availability to me now over these weeks is Arsenal way blank. Pretty useless to me, basically. I've only got 0.1 up on him. So I could put in Alderett. I've only got 0.1 in the bank. So my choices are basically, I can't go the other three teams. He's Alderett, your Duff. It's basically where I'm at. Easy worth it. Make my team look better for both weeks. But I've got Ciao Palace this week. And I've got Anderson, I'm to Villa 34. How bad is it? It's not really, isn't it? It's probably not worth it. Ultimately, if I have an injury and I'm like, I'm down to having to play here at Arsenal, I'm probably going to do something about it. But otherwise, it's probably not where my value of my transfer should probably be. It should be in different areas. And the closer we get to the end of the season, the more relevant that is. The more transfers, the more transfers you've got in the bank, the more chance you could take. So if I was sitting there with five free transfers, I might go, I'll do that. That's me while, how do you, James Hill, the Insta-Starting Master, this weekend, the show. The mother, do you say, I allowed, isn't it? That's where we're at. Where it's a reality, yeah. So look, the more you've got in the bank, the more chance you can take. So I'll do that then. But I'd still also, rather than you maybe kind of look to it a different way. And when I don't think Echo Tech is going to start this way, I'm going for Boeing. Well, I'm going for Broadway. Like if you're on the same strategy as me, I'd rather make that sort of move. Might be more powerful to me, rather than the defensive one. Yeah, I think ultimately transfers from 35 onwards, subjects when you wildcard. If you wildcard 35, it's less relevant. But if you're wildcard in now or 33, the transfers in 35 periods will end are still more important to you. So let's say you were going to, I would, let's say for me, I was going to wildcard 33. And now 34 is out the equation. And I'm only thinking about one week only. Do I still make that transfer to you for our already, if say a same Malik Charles out, I perfectly, do you know what? I probably just play Anderson a Liverpool. Yeah. And go, that's not worth me wasting that one free. It's going to be more, I'm about to look at it. Like don't waste it on ship for ship for one week. If it's, right, I'm going to put boomerying because I think you'll go off on Monday night or at least I'm attacking something. That's the old. The old pole Parsons thing that isn't it? You always reference to what of our Patreon podcast we did changed my FPL life last summer. Only available patron. That's what's like. Last one goes to you, Al Cabo. What are the best three differentials that double in 33? I'm going to say Diego Gomez. He's on my mind Diego Gomez. The problem is, what's the differential now really might not be when you're looking at EOS in 33? Yeah, wait, wait until 33, if you can't do it. Okay. I prefer Hinchwood to Gomez. Okay. So I'll throw Jack Hinchwood in now. Zian Flemini's bound to absolutely outscore, Calvin Ernan, Wellpeck, isn't he? Probably. Rayon? No, I'm not keen now. Then what side is going to play particularly? To be honest, visual, I'm pretty sure will stay quite a big differential. I guess it's a Chelsea play, I though, because if you're the hardest, so maybe it's things like Kukarella, Netto, Estavale. Maybe it's things like that. I could say like Nunez Cherokee, but I just think it's going to be really difficult to go against any of them other three city players, personally. In terms of single players in 33 itself, I don't know if there's anything that stands out like amazing in 33. For those who got singles, I mean, would you walk and give us a while? Or maybe Chris Woods back for Forrest at home to Burnley. And a few people talking about maybe again, Palace early, rather than Brighton, because Palace got West Ham at home. So you go with the Palace players rather than just say, trying to hide them, you go, well, I'm going to play Sarr rather than go Hinchwood or Metauma or whatever. And I'll just go Sarr with a single 33 and it's going to save me a transfer further down the line. That's reasonable. I mean, if you want a bench boost in 33 with Hishmaler Sarr, a home to West Ham or Strand Larsen or anything like that, Munoz. Yeah, I get it. I don't hate that. That's fine. That's it. Master Brilliant. Thank you very much, David. We have Popchur Cherokee, not on your cat, but on your chip strategy podcast. We will be back on Friday. Please share with your mates and your friends. Podcast Summary
Key Points:
Fantasiapohjaisen Premier Leaguen (FPL) strategiapodcastissa keskustellaan peliviikkojen 33 ja 34 suunnittelusta, koska FA Cupin välierät aiheuttavat siirtoja.
Kuusi joukkuetta (Bournemouth, Brighton, Burnley, Chelsea, Leeds, Manchester City) pelaavat kaksi ottelua peliviikolla 33, mutta eivät lainkaan peliviikolla 34, mikä vaikeuttaa joukkueen rakentamista.
Summary:
FAQs
Päivien vahvistaminen on ratkaisevaa optimaalista strategiaa varten.
Manchester City ja Crystal Palace todennäköisesti kaksoispelaa Gameweek 36:ssa. Bournemouth saattaa myös saada kaksoisottelun, jos City vs. Bournemouth siirretään Gameweek 36:een.
