China HUMILIATES Trump As Dinner BACKFIRES

So last night at the White House, Donald Trump had a state dinner with Chinese President Xi Jinping and other senior Chinese leaders, and it went about as well as you would expect. There was a lot of tension in the room, I would argue, and Donald Trump, the man that we know he is, didn't put on a good display for the United States of America. So I want to break down everything that happened yesterday with Xi Jinping being in the United States of America with a specific focus on this state dinner, and we're gonna talk about all of it and more. So first and foremost, the night didn't start off on a good note for Donald Trump and Xi Jinping. There were some anti-G and anti-Trump protesters outside of the White House, and despite the White House band trying to play music to drown them out, you could still hear them in a live TV footage. Check this out and listen closely, as well. (upbeat music) (dramatic music) Sounds like Donald Trump might have leaned over to Xi, and it was like all those damn protesters, which wouldn't surprise me, you know, Trump sucking up to a dictator who puts down protests in his country, sounds on par for the man. Also, I want to point out that Donald Trump was essentially partying with his wealthy buddies last night. This was a state dinner with China, and for some reason, Donald Trump thought it was a good idea to invite all of these different billionaires that he hangs out with, or has gotten campaign donations from. For example, Elon Musk. Elon Musk was at the party and was seen chatting with Donald Trump. So they went from being best friends to not best friends, and Elon Musk exposing Trump for being in the Epstein files. And now their friends again, and Elon Musk is hanging out with them at the White House. They have a weird relationship. Here's some more. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez, also were at the state dinner to name a few of these different CEOs, Sam Altman and Mark Zuckerberg were also there. They were seen chatting with each other. And if you look at the entire list of attendees, there's a lot of CEOs and oil people. For example, tech people, for example, all of them just hanging out at the White House with Donald Trump with President-G of China. And you can pause to read this if you'd like, but you have like TikTok or JP Morgan Dell, General Motors, SpaceX, Elon Musk, ExxonMobile, Chief Justice John Roberts. It was a long list of different buddies and friends of Donald Trump who have helped them out financially or politically, but yeah, long list. And you know, they're all partying. They're having this fancy dinner at the White House while people are struggling. But that's Donald Trump's America. The billionaires get richer. They have their fun and everybody else gets to suffer. But I want to get into some more substance of the dinner because Donald Trump had a number of different self-owns. But this one in particular, he decided that it was a good idea to veer off script and make a very strange invitation to the Chinese leaders that really just contradicts everything that Donald Trump has argued publicly and in court. So let's take a look at what Donald Trump had to say. Can I go off script for a second? Whenever Donald Trump says that it is never going to be good, watch. And if I could go off script just for a second, I just want to say I had to do it. I had to do it. But as a special treat in honor of President Xi and Madam Pong, I'd like to invite everyone in the room to visit through that beautiful curtain in the back, the door. So I'll lit up and it looks beautiful. It's one year away from completion, the new ballroom that you've heard about. And you will see something that I think you will really love. Presidents have been trying to get this built for 150 years and I can tell you that tonight, if we had it, we would have had way more than 1,000 people with standing room only. And this room has about 145. That's about it. So they've been looking for this for over 150 years, all presidents. And they will shortly have it. So in honor of you, you'll be the first people to step foot on that. And we'll do that maybe after we're finished with the entertainment tonight. Anybody wants to walk into a construction site that's nice and clean and sparkling? It's our honor to have you do so. But this is an honor of President Xi Madam Pong. OK, so a lot of problems here, in my opinion. Number one, the fact that the president of the United States is offering a tour of his pet projects as part of a state visit is incredibly embarrassing for the United States just from like a priority standpoint. Like this is what Donald Trump is focused on. There's a lot going on in the world. There's a lot that Trump should be talking about with Xi Jinping. Taiwan comes to mind, for example. Trade comes to mind, for example. And instead of doing that, Donald Trump is like, well, let's put that aside. You see my new ballroom? Did you see my hella pad that I've been building or the reflecting pool? It's embarrassing as an American that this is what's going on during these diplomatic visits. But maybe more importantly than just the absurdity of it all, is the fact that what Trump is saying right here contradicts everything that he has argued in court about this ballroom. There's been a lot of legal fights. It's interesting that Chief Justice John Roberts was there. He actually ruled against the ballroom but was outvoted by his conservative colleagues. But what Trump has argued in court is that this ballroom is necessary. It's a military complex. It's going to be a drone port. There's going to be a bunker. It's highly secretive. We don't want to give away many details because it's so secretive. But he's inviting the Chinese to tour it. That doesn't make a lot of sense. The wild invitation came weeks after the administration made national security a central argument in its fight to keep building the controversial ballroom after preservationist sued. Since announcing the ballroom last year, the project has morphed from a new event space to an integrated military complex featuring an underground bunker and bomb shelters, a military hospital, research facilities, and top secret meeting rooms to that end. Trump's invitation to tour the project immediately raised eyebrows. Given that, according to the FBI, China poses the most significant counterintelligence threat to the United States through state-backed hacking infrastructure penetration and the surveillance of overseas dissidents. The dinner had already proved contentious with Republican allies in Trump's mega base, particularly as the president had spent years warning that America-- excuse me-- that China was ripping America off and stealing our jobs and threatening US power. You even had Republican politicians like Ted Buds saying China is our most consequential geopolitical competitor. And we cannot afford to ignore the CCP's ambitions to reorganize global order at the expense of the United States, or Florida Senator Rick Scott saying, "I understand Trump has to be diplomatic, but she is a despicable person that is killing us with fentanyl, building a military to try to defeat us, and more." And I also want to point out that Donald Trump, as part of his recent ban of media outlets like CNN, MSNOW, and Politico, he argued in his lawsuit that he was justified to do it because one of the outlets had reported on his ballroom. One political story cited by the White House about a one-page secret service handout to Senate Republicans describing security improvements associated with the ballroom project. Yet the filing describes it as an intricate and internal document despite it being handed out by the White House. But in multiple different court filings, they've described the ballroom as top secret that the media can't report on it. That's why we have to kick them out. And we need the ballroom because it's now this security facility, this military complex, attached to the White House. But hey, China, Xi Jinping, you're seeing your leadership, why don't you walk right in? So which one is it? Is it top secret? Or can everybody just take a look? Which one is it, Donald? Or maybe he's just intentionally giving China access to very highly classified, secure parts of the White House that they're not meant to see. But it's utterly insane and completely hypocritical and a major self-own for Trump to be extending this invitation. But it didn't stop there. The humiliation didn't stop there because Xi Jinping also humiliated Donald Trump to his face in the White House in the speech that he gave earlier in the day. He touched on the same theme last night during the state dinner saying this, quote, "Donald Trump has pledged to make America great again and let the American people in making significant strides. China is committed to achieving great national rejuvenation and Chinese modernization has kept breaking new ground. These two goals are both ambitious and can surely be mutually reinforcing. China and the United States, quote, "must act as responsible major countries, meet the expectations of our people, keep pace with the trend of our times, and explore a new approach for major countries to get along with each other." So this, you know, you must act as responsible major countries and explore a new approach for major countries to get along with each other. So it seems like Xi Jinping is making a subtle threat to the United States. You must act responsible. We must explore a new approach for major countries to get along with each other, sounds like he's saying, hey, Donald, hey, America, stay in your lane. Do not come after us and we can move forward together. A little bit of a subtle threat from Xi. And, you know, of course, it's important to remember that China is an adversary of the United States. They're in direct competition with the United States. They spy on us. They have stolen our intellectual property. There's a lot of different problems with the relationship between China and the United States. And so when they come to our country, when they're saying something like this, it's with intent. They're not coming here to be best buddies with the United States. That's not the relationship. There's a reason that Xi Jinping is saying something like that. And that is in line with what he said earlier today during his speech at the White House, where he pretty much humiliated Trump to his face. Donald Trump spent Thursday lavishing praise on Xi Jinping while the Chinese leader used his visit to the White House to deliver a power move with a warning for America to stay in its lane. In front of Trump and for the second time in four months, G urge the. two countries to avoid the so-called "facities" trap. The historical theory that tensions between a rising power and an established one can spiral into war. Interesting. The "facities" trap can be overcome," she said, calling for the two countries to co-exist in peace and for U.S. competition to be, quote, "kept within bounds." It was a strikingly sober message delivered during a ceremony that Trump had gone to extraordinary lengths to make spectacular. I mean, he literally rolled out the red carpet for Xi Jinping and had our military members get on their hands and knees to do it. And this is also probably in reference to Taiwan. Xi Jinping has been very clear to Donald Trump that he wants him to stay out of it in the event of a military intervention, and maybe Trump will listen to one of his dictator buddies. And it wasn't the first time that Xi had issued the warning either, having invoked the same phrase "word for word" when Trump met with him in Beijing in May. Thursday's comments came after Trump rolled out the red carpet, and personally greeted him and his wife at joint base Andrews on Wednesday night. On Thursday morning, the White House staged this full arrival for China and their leadership. And I want to point out one final thing in the midst of all of this. You know, there's a phrase that applies to Donald Trump. There's always a tweet. There's always a tweet that he has made in the past that references something he's doing right now. And that's exactly the case back in 2012. Donald Trump said, "So wrong Barack Obama is hosting China's VP Xi Jinping today at the Pentagon with a full honor ceremony with music and cannons." And yet that's exactly what Donald Trump did yesterday and he did at this state dinner. So overall, I think Trump and his team completely misjudged this event. Donald Trump thinks he's like friends with Xi that they're just like there to hang out. He's going to show him the ballroom. He's going to show him the hella pad. They're going to talk about friendship stuff. Xi Jinping is unfortunately for the United States of America, in my view, outsmarting Donald Trump in these meetings. And that seems abundantly clear in the speeches that they're giving. Donald Trump seems passive is willing to be pushed over by Xi, where Xi is kind of laying the ground rules here. Really, it should be us laying the ground rules. Donald Trump is just not doing that because he loves to suck up to a dictator. So look, I will leave the video there. Thank you so much for watching.
