Cannibal Island, 24 Hours Inside Israel & Taliban Duck Boats | Seal on Tour

The speaker reflects on how personal adversity—specifically tearing their ACL—spurred a life transition from skating to global travel and content creation. Starting with a solo trip to India at 23, they built a career through authentic, low-production vlogging that emphasizes genuine human connection over polished storytelling. Influenced by figures like Peter Centinello, they value candid conversations and cultural immersion, often filming in places like Lebanon where they witness war's impact on civilians. These experiences foster deep empathy, especially for resilience in war-torn communities, such as a 10-year-old boy who lost his home to an airstrike. The speaker highlights how humor, non-verbal cues, and cultural sensitivity help bridge language barriers. They also discuss how travel and content creation have become a form of personal growth and global awareness. Financially, they promote Depop and Shopify as accessible tools for income, with Depop offering zero fees and ease of use, and Shopify enabling simple e-commerce launches. Ultimately, their journey illustrates how personal hardship can lead to meaningful, impactful work that blends travel, storytelling, and empathy.

Oh, heal! You're doing all this when you could just make some cash on Depop? But, like, isn't listing clothes online, like, hard? Harder than this? Look, I made you a listing and somebody just bought your hat. I'm wearing this hat! You were wearing that hat. Make money on Depop with no selling fees. Download the app and start selling today. Dramatization. Sales times vary by item and demand. So, who's watching your Bangkok trap house? The lady boys? I wish, man. You wish. I just have, like, a slew of homies just come through there. But you know what's funny is, like, I get so many comments. People are like, ah, I know why he moved to Bangkok. I'm like, dude, I don't get up to none of that. I think I went out one night. Since I lived there. And it was, like, a content thing. So, like, I'm not there. Only fans content? I don't know. Subscribe. Dude, yeah. It was a geographical move, let me tell you. A geographical move. Yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure. That's it. Just, you, like, you looked at the globe and you're like, Bangkok. I was like, where are the places I want to go? And, like, show me a place that's close to there that's, like, bearable. You know? Like, things work. You know, I won't be, like, frustrated. Every day with how to get around and whatnot. And I was Bangkok. For accessibility purposes. Yeah, exactly. Because I was, like, doing my thing for a while from Ottawa, Canada. And that's not a hub whatsoever. That's, like, the middle of nowhere. It's, like, a pain in the ass even to get here to Jersey. And so, I was like, all right. If I want to take this seriously, maybe go to, like, a place where it's easier. And then, dude, it's crazy. You get all these ideas in your head and then you go through with nothing. And I'm like. I'm like, maybe I'm going to go back to Canada now. You seem like you've gone through with a few of them. You've got a wide library. I'm kind of jealous. Like, I rolled up here and I'm like, wow, you have, like, such a nice life with a nice crib. You know, I won't, like, let out the secret of, like, your own doxy or anything. But I'm just saying, like, life where you're at is good and you're, like, so stationary. And you probably hit the gym, you know. And, like, I'm like, I envy that. I'm just, like. I want both, you know. Like, I love to absolutely send it. And then I'm just like, wow. Like, this homebody life out here in New Jersey, that seems amazing. I'm not going to move to New Jersey. You're not moving to New Jersey? No, no, no. That's a pretty good sale right there. I'm just saying, I rolled up and I'm like, wow, this guy's got it. Well, listen, man. I appreciate that. I do think for what I do to be able to talk with people for a really long time, having a stationary place like this is the most important part. It was one of my, like, non-negotiables when I started in my parents' house six and a half years ago. I'm like, I will talk to a wall as long as I have to until I can earn the right to be able to get people here because, you know, it allows me to have such wide-ranging content. And it also, though, allows me to bring guys like you from halfway around the world sometimes to tell us what the fuck is going on out there, which is, like, I get that feeling now sometimes where I was, like, watching your recent documentary, which we'll definitely talk about today, where you just pop in and fucking Arab spawns in with you. And I'm like, both of those muffins. Both of those motherfuckers have been in Jersey, and now they're halfway around the world blowing up drones. It's the coolest thing ever, man. Thank you for calling it a documentary. I don't think anyone's ever said that to me also. But to be fair, like, these last two, I did put a little bit more effort and wanted to tell a story, so I appreciate that. But at the same time, I try to want to be, like, loose and fun and, like, maybe, yeah, we're covering serious topics, but I also want to be myself, and I don't want to have a crew, and I just want to be natural. And maybe that's why people gravitate towards me. Dude, it works 100%. I've seen your clips for a really, really long time. They've been on my feed for a while, because I also, like, some of the guys that you're friends with as well, like, you guys do some amazing work around the world, and that's why it works. You can cover some, like, you can do all the fun shit, like you do, too, but then you can go cover a serious topic, and it humanizes it, because you're not putting fucking 40 angles on it and yelling cut every five minutes. You know what I mean? Yeah, I appreciate that. And that's the way it works the best with anything I do, whether it's more serious or it's like a motorcycle. cycle trip in wherever Pakistan, it's just like, I'm me. I have a camera. Hopefully some crazy shit happens. Let's go. And it's funny you say that, like, um, you know, like you kind of understand what I'm doing, which is like, you could do this. That's more fun. You can do this more serious. I literally put out one video from the Holy land and people like, wow, you went political. I'm unfollowing, you know, it's just like, dude, I just gravitate towards things I'm interested in. Right. Whether that be the Holy land or eating the goop scoop in India. Hey guys, if you're not following me on Spotify, please hit that follow button and leave a five star review. They're both a huge, huge help. Thank you. Yeah, man. What's the goop scoop? You know, you know, the, the, the fame. Well, I mean, I mean, you see, you see like the street food videos of the dude with the scoop and maybe it's like a gray, like a pot of curry. And then they put it on like a newspaper, maybe like dip their feet in it. Yeah. For extra flavor. Yeah. Yeah. Dabbling with goop scoop, or we could go to the promised land and cover apartheid and things like that. But that's the thing, man, like where the it's, it's a major story right now, you know, and it's, and it's got all kinds of cultures in the same area of the world as well and bad shit going down. And I think it's important. You, you don't guys, like you don't run away from that stuff. And I know that's not like, Oh, yay, fun, whatever, like it always is, but you're still, like I said, you were still able to put your, your personal kind of touch on it and it humanized everybody. And I also think that's the beauty of me being the boss, having my own platform, working for myself. You know how many comments I've gotten and be like, you're so biased. I'm like, yeah, I am. Cause that's, I'm not, I'm not a journalist. I'm just doing my own thing. Like if you think I'm biased, it's like, cause I'm being biased. You're like, it's cause I'm showing what I want to show. And I think that's totally, I'm fine. Like people can say I'm doing journalism, but at the end of the day, I'm just like, I'm a tourist. If we get into more serious stuff, that's what happens. Or if we get into more fun stuff, that's what happens. But let me just go assimilate myself with the people, ask them what's up. If it's a more, I guess, politicized area, we could ask them about that. But at the end of the day, I'm me, I'm going to do it my way. And just like, I don't know now, now that I've gotten into this, like, I doubt I would ever be tossed a fat chance. I'm just, I'm like, God, like, I feel like I can have my cake and eat it too. Cause like I can go where I want and I can do it the way I want, which is amazing. How long have you been doing this? Like six years or something like that? Yeah. So my, I mean, it's funny because it's like, I can't pinpoint exactly where it started. I I've been doing it like as my job for the last two and a half years, but then it took me a while, man. Like some people, they really figure it out right away. Me, I feel like I just had to eat shit for so many years until I figured out, but I think it was because of the journey. Like it's been so fun. So my first solo trip was I was 23. I went to India. I dabbled with videos, but nothing came of it. And then it was just like slowly throughout the years. And I was also like working remote jobs. Cause like, you know, during COVID, I met a lot of people who they, uh, they went to Mexico to work remotely, like because of the pandemic, it was the only place open. Um, and I'm like, Oh, maybe I could do that too. So like I ate shit at a bunch of remote jobs, worked some shitty ones, worked some really cool ones as well. And then just slowly like social media, just built and built. And I'm just like, all right, I'm ready to take the leap. And there's two and a half years ago. I mean, congrats as well. Cause like, that means you were building for a long time, making videos around the world when it wasn't your main job finding the time. And you always want to travel as a kid. Yeah, of course. But okay. But not to sound Gary beef, Gary Vee pilled, but what you're saying, like if you can turn your side hustle into your main hustle, amazing things can happen. So I just want to believe you just got to get there and just fucking do it, bro. Are you posting content content, two words, content, content, the Gary Vee tangent. Um, w so was I into travel as a kid? Yeah. Like, is it something you really like, you're like, I want to go, I'm from Ottawa. I want to go all over the world. There's more to it than this, uh, as a kid, I was really into Indiana Jones and I would like dress up as Indiana Jones all the time. I had the hat and I had the whip and I was just like, Oh, you had the whip. Yeah. Yeah. I had a whip too. Oh, you were witching. Yeah. Yeah. My dad made me a whip out of the, out of a belt. Maybe I got like, I'm in trouble at like school, like on Halloween. Cause I think it was my Halloween costume, maybe like three years. It was like once every two, three years, I get to go to school and assault children with my whip. Yeah. That was dope. Um, yeah, I definitely think Indiana Jones spawn that dude, it was, it's a collection of a lot of different things. A lot of serious, like a lot of necessary life events to happen, to put me in this position. But I mean, I also, I grew up as a skater, which like where I'm from, I'm from a hometown or I'm from a small town where like, you know, a lot of people marry their high school sweetheart, do what their, their parents did, their, their farm kids, they grew up playing hockey. And I did all those things. And then I kind of, I kind of got into skating and snowboarding and I kind of got into counterculture and then I started to go to the city a lot and like hang out with all sorts of people where it's just like dude I'm from like a very like white Christian town and so I'm just like realizing like okay I'm kind of as a young kid like I got my license at like 16 and I'm like I'm expanding my horizons where I feel like people from my hometown are like narrow-minded you know my my parents like bless their souls like they've been married for like 35 years it's like wow they did all that so good like let me let me do my own thing like I'm sure I could do that one day but it's just like let me do something different because everyone here does the same shit so it's just like and everyone here has a very narrow-minded perspective of the world so I think it's like the combination of like being part of a counterculture and like growing up in a small town and not wanting to assimilate to that I'm just like all right I and I'm being interested in the world growing up like I was always like interested in maps and drawing maps and just like scrolling google earth and just like you know going into things and I fuck with that yeah yeah it took me a long time it took me to like I was out of university but I'm just like okay now it's time to go and I just went would you go study at university I studied geography actually oh there you go on right I I studied I first started in in geomatics and I'm sure maybe you've had like people in here talk about certain things with geomatics because I know you like geomatics yeah because you know like I'm sure there's people who came in here and talked about like lidar in the amazon oh yeah they're fine so like that's like that's part of it it's more of like a technical side to like spatial data in in geography and like I was like wow this is so sick this is for me because like I would just like scroll google earth all the time but then like by by the time I got into it I was just like dude you're not tech savvy like I've never been tech savvy all my knife life I've never been good with computers or like stats or whatever I'm just like wow like as much as like this would be cool and I feel like I could get a cool job doing this this isn't for me and I had a transfer and it dude it would have been really cool because I know a lot of people who went through with that and now they go to the arctic and they're going to survey things and like I'm sure you've talked to people like who go and they do the lidar on the amazon and they're they're finding ancient civilizations under the canopy so awesome but uh it's amazing yeah to do that you got to be a technician and I'm just kind of just like a silly goofy guy I think I think it worked out pretty well dude and that's the thing like a lot of what worked out worked out because of serendipity like dude I ate so much not ate so much but I think like to get to the place I'm at it was like a lot of shitty things had to happen it's just like switched my um study path and then you know I think a big one for me was uh you know how I told you like I grew up skating I was a pretty decent skater it's all I want to do with my life and then I tore my acl and when that happened I was like life is over for me because before that I'm just like I want to travel the world but I want to skate I couldn't picture myself like going anywhere and not wanting to skate so it's just like I want to like and I had a lot of people who skated and they were taking trips like maybe two or three times a year to Europe or they do road trips to the states I'm like wow this is good life I'll get a good job in geomatics and I'll just skate and then like once I tore my acl I was just like wow that's over for me like life is over and you can't really skate no I got back into it but it's just like it wasn't the same like at the level I was at and at the time I'm like this is so depressing I'm like I'm like I don't want to do this anymore I don't want to do this and I'm just like I like my health depleted and all this and it was just like I'm not saying I got depressed but I'm just like for a couple years I'm like I was kind of lost in what I what I really wanted to do because skating was my life at that point and that was gone for me and then you know I started dabbling with documentaries and then I also did a sailing trip with my friends we went from Florida to Canada and I filmed that and I'm like oh and then I got inspired Florida to Canada yeah I can get it it's a fun so I can get into this one but um I was getting inspired by people on YouTube and then I'm just like in all of that kind of snowballed into what I'm doing today and I couldn't say if it weren't for like probably what I at the time defined as like the most shittiest moment of my life tearing my ACL it might have not happened it probably definitely wouldn't have happened if that didn't happen so yeah if you're going through adversity and shit like that might be just like exactly what you need to like start a foundation of something else you know you find a silver lining. 100% man I'm a true believer that like it's okay to be human in the moment and be like what the fuck you know complain a little bit but then once you kind of get that out of your system yeah whatever you can see there to be like all right what kind of opportunities do I have now it's not to be like gay and just be like oh look at the glass half full but like literally sometimes it is that simple. Download depop and start selling today. Because yeah it's cool at that point it's just like wow I really have the world at my fingertips. It's just like I was a creative person and I'm just like all right if skating's not going to work out then it's just like there's a million things I could do whether it be like documentary making film sailing you know those things. And we're going to come back to that later because you said you don't think you make documentaries. I think you make one of the definitions of what's a documentary. I think you're just discounting some of the comedy. Yeah maybe. Because it's comedic doesn't make it a not documentary. And maybe just the format of it. I don't see it as traditional documentaries but maybe like the documentaries that I watch are like that I consider documentaries that's like shit that's like people sit in a boardroom and discuss shots and budget and shit and I'm just like I'm just me and I'm going to do it on my own. So maybe maybe a documentary doesn't have to be something that's like produced. But like you see it you you see a 305 person cinematic orchestra it's music you see someone get on stage and you're like oh I'm going to do it. It's music. It's all different sides. Now you're totally you know you don't need a whole team to do it like there's another guy you probably are very familiar with his work Peter Centinello. I love him. He's amazing. He's been an inspiration for me. And you know what I can see it. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. And I would I just feel like I would love to do what he does in America. But I don't know what how people would perceive like a Canadian doing American content or if people thinks I'm like biting his shit. We ain't like that here. Yeah. We ain't like those queers up in Canada. You think goddamn socialism back up there. Justin Trudeau forced half of you to be trans. I should know I should play into that. You should play into that. Yeah. You should roll up with like some like rainbow spandex. Well you already got a place in Bangkok. You're halfway there. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Like I'm checking all the boxes right here. Yeah. Exactly. So you like Peter though? Oh yeah. Yeah. Peter has been a huge inspiration to me. And I mean I think there's there's times where I've wanted to take my content a more serious route. And I've tried like I mean maybe you saw those last two which are more like serious videos. And then there's times where I'm just like OK let's just do a crazy motorcycle trip. As far as like I just love how Peter can can be so successful just through his words. It's no production no crazy editing. It's just like he just finds a person. And yeah. And he just like has just the most candid conversation. And it kind of shows with social media you know we're talking about like oh what's a documentary. Is it like a big corporate production or is it a man with a camera. I think Peter is a pure example of how less is more. You know and I'm so stoked to see like the the de-Mr. Beastification of social media. You know I feel like that had its time. And I mean he's people who do that kind of high retention content are still always going to crush. But I feel like since we've had that for so long. it's kind of digressing and now and and i think finally there's like more attention on people who are just themselves they're candid they're not like all right guys comment like subscribe and tomorrow i'm gonna you know some shit like that um and i see that with peter i see that with a lot of guys like in the space that i'm i'm inspired by and i'm glad who's another one is uh he just kind of retired uh outdoor boys oh the the guy out in utah yeah the mormon guy lawyer and like do you see how big his channel is like 20 million subscribers huge and this guy is like he literally just goes and films himself granted he's like he has very amazing survival techniques and whatnot but he's kind of just like the the most average american just husband father that just likes the outdoors yes and and that's what i'm kind of saying that i like is that i mean i feel like things are shifting to something way more real and maybe and that inspires me to keep just doing it like what i'm doing for myself just me with a camera talking to someone imagine you roll up with a whole production crew and whatnot you try it's too much man like people like oh i'm nervous i don't know what to do with my hands like if you roll in you're already vlogging then you start talking to someone and they just be like making a video and we're already talking and we're already getting into it and they'll just be themselves and you're literally when i watch your videos you're like this the whole time so it is exactly what it looks like you don't have five guys there you roll up on places where a lot of times people don't speak a word of english but you're able to really get them comfortable quickly what's what's the trick with that i don't know if i have like an exact trick with that i you gotta be a canadian about it you gotta use your manners you gotta put on a smile how are you doing buddy like what's you know shake their hand jersey right yeah how you doing yeah maybe miss minnesota as well but you just gotta honestly you just gotta be genuine with people you gotta just like be actually interested in someone um yeah go in with optimism go in with a smile um i i can't say i've had an encounter even if like i've had an encounter with someone i've had an encounter with i'm fucking with people i'm trolling with people i can't say if i had an encounter that has gone south right because i'm just always trying to be like you know just in good spirits and that will bring you far humor also brings you far that's yeah that was like the smile and the humor yeah me me and arab joke about this all the time it's just like i mean a lot of people we encounter we don't speak the same same language but there's a lot of universal language i think like 95 percent of communication in the world is non-verbal yeah so you can i don't know exactly like how that looks it's situational but you can do a lot of things a lot of communicating when you don't share the same language and a lot of that might be like uh non-verbal it might be some like funny like sexual gesture or innuendo and you know even the most like reserved people will probably get a good chuckle out of them and if not maybe you'll get beheaded who knows so don't take well listen that hasn't happened yet yeah exactly yeah so let's keep going so that's just wild to me though that the first say three and a half years of this give or take you were doing it while you were doing other jobs as well so i'd imagine you're just putting aside whatever money you can to go travel somewhere and you're like well i hope we get it when we're there yeah exactly well you know one of the jobs i did work that was really cool i don't know if you want to hear about this i do want to hear about this that's why i worked in the poker industry no i ran the social media for a poker company i would go to like tournaments like world series of poker and whatnot and it was funny because like the camera equipment i was using was also just my vlogging like my gopro like i i interviewed like i don't know if you know poker players like interviewed interviewed like phil i mean yeah not phil ivy i interviewed like phil helmuth on my gopro you probably love that i interviewed daniel legrano walking down the hallway with my gopro and then like fucking there's also mad celebrities there interviewed adam 22 right during like the start of his like cucking saga yeah yeah didn't bring it up uh interviewed ryan garcia didn't bring it up yeah brave man i wish i did i wish i did he's much bigger in person i feel like he could have clobbered me but but yeah dude and that was such a cool job and it's like dude i it's crazy because i i quit like the best job i ever had to to pursue this so you actually like the job oh i loved it you loved it it was amazing and like i was there on on freelance so like i was doing everything remotely um i didn't even know how many hours i was supposed to work i'd make a piece of content a day and this is the the best thing about having like um a remote job and then also a side hustle it's just like uh if you can manipulate your job to like do it very quick like and just like get everything out of the way one or two hours and then your side hustle is probably what you put more hours into that's the thing so it was dope i think they got a good employee out of me because like dude i made their social media blow up but at the same time it's just like i was i was doing so well at it that i could focus on my other job and that eventually made me quit because i was just i was doing like two three hours a day of the poker job and then like the rest was at like uh like either filming or editing my other stuff but that's also like insane learning and data opportunity as well because you basically get to test with your real job like wow this kind of people really gravitate towards not necessarily like you're gonna be covering poker around the world but like they gravitate towards this kind of conversation or this kind of content now i can do that on my shit yeah you know what's crazy is like they didn't mind me being a face to the company it was a very small company and uh like there was moments i was like in places like iraq and people were like like gambling with dominoes and i'm like i want to film this and just put it on the poker side oh you were putting it on their page yeah yeah there was like ran there like it was mostly all just poker but there was like one off from random countries where it's just like this is gambling in bangladesh or some random shit like that and they're chill with it they loved it yeah it was it was so random some guys like getting his head chopped off for losing listen content yeah yeah content exactly it's poker man like that that shit happens in the back rooms of a cash game you know like that's hilarious yeah so you started you said your first trip was at 23 your first solo trip first solo yeah i was super scared but i just you know i mean not to be like super corny not to be gary v pilled again but like man if you want to like if you want to do something like if you're if you're scared to do it you just got to do it scared bro you know what i mean well i was like i'm super scared to do it but i'm just like oh fuck it i just gotta gotta do it while i'm scared so where was that again that was to that was to india india yeah so and at that time besides that sailing trip i did like i hadn't done anything i didn't do anything i didn't do anything i didn't on any like real international travel like maybe like europe but that's whatever like but i haven't like solo traveled i hadn't went to asia or anything so i kind of just like threw myself in the lion's den how long were you in india that first time for two months and i'll yeah and i'll tell you i need that remote job you had holy shit like yeah guys i'll be back in two two two months in india will drive a man crazy holy shit but but i loved it i loved every minute of it i think i was like the best trip of my life because like i was dabbling with content but not really so i was just kind of like absorbing everything in like i was on my eat pray love shit just like you know just getting acquainted with the world around me and whatnot so it was really awesome like it was crazy i was leaving the airport and i was just like oh my gosh this is beautiful like there's stray dogs and garbage everywhere wow culture you know it was dude it was compare that to my second time going to india i was so cynical about it i was like oh my god this place is smells like shit first time i was like wow it smells like shit wow what a what a privilege different cultures man like i'm so privileged to live in canada that's wild two months though gives you time to really travel around though and take in the culture absolutely i mean how many videos did you get while you were there dude i just was kind of dabbling with feeling like maybe six but they're all like i don't know five minutes dude that's what the thing i was saying is like some people they just took a camera started vlogging and they just took off dude i i did not know what i was doing like i look back on those videos like holding the camera like way low and just like you know how like now i'm like uh i don't know i guess i'm like kind of funny with people like i'm i like to like joke around with people like i couldn't do that back then like i could barely like stop and talk and have a conversation like i was just intimidated it was like before the camera made me more reserved and now it's the opposite now like the camera brings like life out of me really i'm not saying i'm like i'm a i'm not myself i'm just like a more excited version of myself that's that's i mean it shouldn't surprise me because you've been doing it for so long but that big of a shift to go i would think it would go from you're reserved on it like what the fuck am i doing i'm in a foreign place on the camera this is not good it starts there and then you get to hey at least it's normal but you're saying it actually turns you into a whole other character and i i think it like also like um takes away your perception of fear and it just kind of levels the playing field and i think it's like a lot of people are like oh my god i'm not doing this - 'Cause you got 'em on tape? - Yeah, I don't know. And you're just kind of focusing on yourself and you just kind of want to like you know have the best interactions and like you're open this is also the thing I love about doing content is like a lot of the things like I do if I could have my ideal vacation not for content I'm just gonna go to like a beach in Thailand you know but like doing content gets you out of your comfort zone right like and obviously there's things like oh away from content I want to have experiences but like when you're filming like I'm so open to anything and that that's really what I love like I'm open to conversations I'm open to trying new things new food new experiences and that's why like I don't just love content because it's came my job it's just opened so many doors and possibilities just because I have a camera and I'm just like oh this this will be cool that first time though you're in a place I know there's a lot of people in India who do speak English and then some places where they speak none of it but you're going around with a camera for your first time you're 23 in a brand new culture you're not used to actually doing that and now you are the difference between what I do here and what you do there is like when people come here they're at least like on my territory it's kind of neutral ground in a nice way whereas when you're in the you're in the middle of their country of what two billion people something like that like that's yeah that is a whole different ball game from a like developing rapport with people very quickly and seamlessly you're acting like I'm going into a war zone no it's not it's just India really and it's funny you say it this way because like I'm nervous coming here just talking at a table versus like dude he dropped me off in India with my camera like I'm just like who's got the goop scoop brother let's go let's see if I could destroy my toilet bowl later like I'm down you guys could try to kill me with this shit this kind of thing makes you nervous though to do that oh absolutely like way more than just being in India like when I start filming I'm just like I just got to be myself and I just gotta chill like I I still will take my precautions okay I won't go down that street you know well everything within reason but yeah this is unfamiliar territory for me bro I'm in the Mean Streets of New Jersey the Mean Streets yeah it's very mean yeah exactly they'll shoot you broad daylight yeah I don't know I don't know these guys and you can wait can you open carry here actually you can you have to do concealed carry and it's also a way longer than it would be in say even North Carolina yeah Texas I mean they'll sell it at like a state fair down there there's a lot of hoops you got to go through in New Jersey to get one really I'm going uh maybe in like two weeks hopefully uh a road trip uh through the states with uh my homie Andrew he's been in my Amazon content and he's just like just so you know I'm gonna I'm gonna be packing the whole time okay bro yeah whatever like you just gotta be like it's like I don't know him yeah that's it that's that's all you guys we're going to um we're gonna go to Appalachia so West Virginia oh that's chill there like they like even like five-year-olds carry there or some like that yeah I don't know if they have cops out there I'm not American in the comments but I feel like you can get away with a lot of out there for sure are you do you have any like specific goal of stuff you want to film in mind going there um just like deep boonies like uh like people like play the banjo and might have like married their cousin like I don't know like uh and like maybe find that maybe like yeah something like the deep lore of like people who get missing out I don't know if you know like I don't know too much about Appalachia but it seems interesting just for all the wrong reasons yeah there's and also it's a place that was that was ravaged by the opioid crisis as well okay yeah that makes sense it was like a combination of that and like uh the coal industry collapsing and so now they're just out of work and frozen in time okay yeah that that's super cool and I I don't know do you think I would have any problems if I just wanted to go there and stick do what I do in India no I I think you'd be just fine yeah I mean I don't I haven't really gone there but I've seen a lot of people go there I've had friends who go there as well like Peter's done a lot there yeah Peter santanella yeah yeah I don't know I want to find uh maybe some inbred family they definitely have that there yeah there's been some wild I there's been some wild content over the years it's like it's also very sad too yeah I know I I don't want to like make fun of the situation obviously like you change your bro you listen like I I know how to like change my tone that's the thing it's like dude like I I went into like a war zone in Lebanon yeah you demonstrated it's like dude and it's funny because like there is times where I'm just like all right I can put a little like a little funny joke here and there but for the most part like I'm being serious I'm like and I was genuine or I'm telling people like dude my heart breaks for you like this situation is fucking like yeah this episode is brought to you by Google Chrome you think you know a browser but Gemini and Chrome that's new it can help you with practically anything on the web like restoring a vintage motorcycle from a 50 page restoration breakdown that long article you've had open for weeks Gemini and Chrome is here for it ready to make anything online make sense there's no place like Chrome check responses set up required compatibility and availability various 18 plus audio ads that connect display ads that stand out run them together on Spotify and unlock incremental reach for your campaign and but and then there's times just like they were telling me about like oh our the ice cream store beside here got blown up ice cream the ice cream I'm like it must have been pretty damn good ice cream if we're in the midst of a war zone and people just keep bringing up the fucking ice cream this must have been a world-class ice cream that shot that you got where the sun brought you upstairs in the house and took you onto the porch can we pull this up deep it was the second to last documentary that Nolan did and it's probably about 35 minutes and so I I can give you the the exact time if I could look at the um yeah so keep going slow down a little bit back a little more back more back more back yeah more back more back uh can I get on there on that uh a little bit more back right there yeah yeah yeah here here here so that's downstairs not go upstairs go past so you can see hit play it's probably like 10 seconds after this yeah so I'm talking to him in the in the counties over there they move their border yes they are everything is so that's all gone they're still bombing and whatnot okay do you want to show that building got a warning there but the building down the street didn't do much and so this kid is about to show me his house happy birthday what do you want to be when you grow up you want to be a football player nice Hassan's bringing me into his home and uh basically two months ago it got completely destroyed by an airstrike do you hope one day this can all be repaired sometime soon I hope Inshallah I think they need to collapse the building because it's not good it's not safe yes this kid's such an intelligent 10 year old this is the balcony it's quite a place see how used to it he is perfect it's it's crazy like yeah look at that he's 10 years old he has more resilience than me yeah I just can't believe how close bro I like I look at that this this shot's insane Hassan where were you when this got destroyed I was inside so that was a whole nother thing that you were that you kept talking about with people in this Lebanon documentary where there's places where they give you a courtesy warning hey we're gonna bomb the out of you and then places where they just don't yeah absolutely because there's bad guys to in those buildings so I guess their their tactic is just to blow the whole thing up and if they get two bad guys it can be at the cost of however many so I don't know if you want to show this but maybe like maybe five to ten minutes more in this the the small kid Hassan keep going a little further he brings me to the buildings a little bit more further uh a little bit yeah right there yeah there so this is what I was talking about yeah I was talking about has bully here you can skip a little passes it's just some voice over but yeah so here Hassan like brings me to these buildings that didn't get a warning and so the the bigger one you see there there's about 30 people there and those were all the innocent civilians that died um to the right of that they actually distinguished the hasbulla members they're like these were the husband members these were the targets so these two has built members died 30 innocent people died and then the four people you see to the left are first responders that that died that died after because they went this is just what I heard is that they went after to rescue people and there they were targeted amongst the rubble basically and you'll hear stories about this a lot not just first responders you heard about journalists um you know ambulance firefighters all of that and and I look I don't know who these guys are I I people say stories like oh the first responders are just like has with like a red cross or some shit like that man but look talk your shit but like at the end of the day just like good job you got rid of the fucking bad guys but look at this poster of 30 innocent people that you also killed and i think they'll they'll justify being like no one no one's innocent i think that it has parallels to gaza just like oh you see that nice lady yeah they were uh she the the bad guys went and had lunch at her house right like so she yeah she's a combatant in in in this war you know it's just like oh your neighbor's uncle's dog sitter also knew this guy so he is basically has bully you know if you keep bombing someone's country like that and displacing their people and killing innocents you're gonna get exactly what you want you're gonna get all them to want to kill you yeah i don't understand how this is psychologically so fucking hard to figure out we've been watching this now on such a scale over the last three plus years it's like come on because in their head they're all terrorists and i mean i don't think what's happening in lebanon is on the same scale as gaza but there's so many parallels as far as how the idf is conducting their war on terror here and i i was fortunate enough that i got to go and talk to the people where i couldn't do that in in gaza so yeah the parallels are i i guess you know and i heard this the whole time i was there one to two hasbulla members in a building so we we target the whole building and the israelis would tell you that not the israelis just they would never tell okay i mean i'm more saying and dude i didn't want to get into like those kind of conversations and a lot of i mean i i got into one with if you watch my next video the 24 and 24 the 24 and 24 i was talking to this content creator named tal oran that's at the 40 minute mark yeah and this clip um and i'll be honest like he's he's very smart um yeah right there by the way amazing job thank you back and forth with him i take some balls and dude the thing is is like and i want to specify this is just like i just went there to like talk to people i'm not an expert in this this guy has lived through it like it's his job you know to have this kind of commentary but um so i think we were talking about gaza and the amount of lives lost and he said something like well isn't having empathy gay and retarded or something like that it was just a crazy response um but yeah yeah and he was so he was saying he firmly doesn't believe in a two-state solution and to me you keep doing that it's another self-fulfilling prophecy because if you tell people they're not allowed to have a government that actually governs them and they're standing military and things like that who the fuck do you think is going to fill that power vacuum and then when he the thing that really pissed me off is when and he did an amazing job i i appreciate that because like i said like i'm not an expert this i just wanted to talk i didn't want to debate it well that's what you did i just wanted to have a conversation with him but it also it he hung himself with some of it because when he when he pulled out the blm tactics on calling anything on you a white guy calling any settler violence racist i was like are you fucking kidding me hold up the race card which was i don't know why basically so deep can you cut ahead to the next spot yeah so we talked in three locations so the second location the scene after this is where yeah it was like the right yeah no back yeah so the start of that scene well the start you got to go to the start of it go the start start of that location no yeah yeah no no this one is where we're talking about gaza this is the scene where he pulled out the race card yes um and this is the one that kind of confused me and like i said i'm not an expert on the situation i was just trying to have a conversation but the mental but apparently yeah it was i i was confused i was feeling i was doing a lot of mental gymnastics it was a lot of no no he was okay and i i felt like i was trying to keep up with him and i was like okay i'm gonna keep up with him and i'm gonna keep up with him with his mental gymnastics and i was yeah let's let's let this play where are we going we can get how you did it and then we'll react to it going into palestinian communities and essentially terrorizing them harassing them to the point where these people get displaced their homes bulldozed i think under international law this is illegal but even the idf helps facilitate this is this form of settlement uh something you support yes but the connotation of calling it a settlement or a settler i think is racist and i'm gonna call you on your shit in a friendly way but i especially think and i know this is gonna sound really lip-tard fucking stupid shit that i'm saying but it is true like a white guy coming to the middle east and calling anyone a settler here is fucked it's racist it's disgusting in my opinion it is one of the most dehumanizing things you could do because again as an arab like as somebody who actually actually has arab ethnicity yeah if you're if you're pertaining that anyone from my extended family is a settler in the land that they come from or that they're associated with most of these kids i see aren't even like arab arab jews what does that mean if they're ashkenazi though most of them look like ashkenazi or even even like kids that were killed kids that are from like new jersey like young hasidic kids that like grew up super orthodox and now they're just like you know maybe they grew up in a microcosm and now they're basically like on a birthright trip and they're just here it's still right living in it's still racist yeah of course it's still racist like if you're gonna say that just because they're ashkenazi you're literally pinpointing a specific race that has a lot of studies behind it i'm not saying i'm not as ashkenazi they're any sort of race or any it's not fun being called a racist when you're not being a racist whatsoever i'm trying to understand how how that's racist on my part so if you're calling a jew yeah or an arab a settler in this land yeah you're being a racist okay so all right let's pause it right there so he just totally contradicted himself by the way because they're taking land from arabs right there so how's that it can't be one without the other secondly the way that you can't that's why i was referring to earlier when you came back adam with the well i see some fucking kids from new jersey yeah doing this and he just said that's racist that's retarded yeah he's retarded and and and i can tell like he's got an iq like above room temperature like he's very he's very intelligent yeah like he's very smart and he's very good at debating and that's one thing i didn't want clearly not that's my point i don't like when very smart people are retarded he's retarded by choice we're gonna start we're gonna have to like bleep all this deep because you know yeah but like it just something about that pisses me off so much because it's like you have every right to say hey why are people's homes being fucking taken from them against international law and then he just goes racist it's just i i don't know i'm so sick of that i got it experience that firsthand and i'm glad after this conversation i actually got to experience it you know um i don't know if you want to hear about like of course what exactly i experienced but you have more docs coming out right yeah yeah and the crazy thing is it's just like i see clips every day of these young settler kids that go into these communities harass the locals beat the locals and sometimes even they end up killing them yes you know but i don't know um but to even experience it firsthand in like a non-violent situation it was still like so impactful to me i'm just like whoa this is the the amount of indoctrination is insane to have a young kid that's 15 years old who doesn't go to school and his life is basically harassing palestinians he's given a fucking gun and just to do that's his life now he's doing basically like god's work in in his eyes and i don't i can't even be like obviously i was i was roasting the kid i don't know if you've seen the clip the the settler clip but i've not seen that yeah it was kind of like a sneak peek um is that on your instagram it's it's on i put it on a carousel on my instagram so it's the last two clips if you go to my instagram you'll find a carousel um but my whole point was like like obviously i'm still roasting kids but i'm just like i feel bad for them i'm just like i'm just like i feel bad for them i'm just like i feel bad for them man it's just like as a kid obviously you're you're a product of your own environment you're gonna believe everything it's so easy to religiously indoctrinate a child especially like if they grew up in a settlement like their whole lives and and told like these people are satan they're the enemy and our job is to harass them and drive them out of this land um so for me obviously i'm like oh these are little bitch-ass punk-ass kids but at the same time i felt a lot of empathy i'm just like wow i had a i had a life where i just grew up skateboarding and shit and these kids at 15 like they think their purpose is to just harass and shit yeah and we didn't play it but when you were at the house next to the ice cream store where you were seeing all the rubble yeah when you were on the way out of that house you said something like that to that kid where you're like i hope you have the best life because like i grew up with none of these fears it or worries right here and you have to grow up with this and that's strictly because of where you were born and where I was born. you have no choice in the matter i thought that was yeah no as much as like you you might think canada or the states is falling off like you have to really realize that you grew up in a land of opportunity and you are so free and you are so safe in these lands compared to like these kids who are going through war and they showed so much resilience a 10 year old kid showed more resilience than me a 30 year old man and we're just like you know if um if i die like that's god's plan yeah bro i can't say the same thing i'm enjoying my life i want to i want to keep living and i literally heard young kids being just like if i go like yeah that like i'm just going to jenna like that was god's plan for me i was like holy shit that that's impactful and and a lot of that is just like they have such strong ties to their homeland they don't even want to leave right and and there were a lot of people you were talking to on there who all repeated that same thing and it's there's something about that where it's like my father's father and his father's father and his father's father and his father's father were here this is you know the industry we're in this is what we've done yeah and i i feel like almost like they i don't know if it's a good metaphor but like you know like uh like the captain going down with the ship right or something like that no no it's a i understand yeah because because many of them they get the warning and i mean there's so many people in southern lebanon whenever the the airstrikes are happening they they leave they pack all their stuff they go to beirut or somewhere more north but then there's some who stay and they don't have to stay they can go but they're just like fuck that like right if i go down i go down you know i'm comfortable here in my home and it's admirable man it's very the second they're done bombing they're like okay let's go back let's see if our home is okay and if not like uh we're still gonna stay here we're not gonna we're not gonna relocate whereas you know me and you we we didn't grow up in war zones but i don't think we could say the same thing like i don't think if in my hometown if it turned into a war zone i can't see like people wanting to return the second after the missiles you're right stop flying you know because we don't know that they like you were just talking about environment and where all these different types of kids grow up yeah they grew up in that it's and i hate that they did it's in their bones there's that resiliency that you speak of and that toughness that like through no fault of our own either yeah we don't we didn't have we were lucky we didn't have to know that when we were 10 years old you know yeah man what's the extra dude i feel so joe rogan pill hard times create hard man create easy times create soft man 100 we're just a bunch of soft man bro we didn't grow up in war times bro where these kids they're they they're growing up in war they're experiencing all this shit and i'm just like every time i said i feel so bad for you they're like don't fucking mention don't it's so good don't don't worry man it happens and then they're all so happy and just like just full of life good for them though yeah you know what i mean like the little things in the perspective that they have to appreciate things that we just take for granted so much the guy i was with tarzan he's so positive yeah what's his story uh i don't know exactly his story but he just loves to spread positivity like he's crazy optimistic he's just like they don't realize right now they're making us stronger he is a firm believer and i am too as well that like adversity makes you stronger you know he's like almost like not happy but he's like not glad is how it's got like you know things happen to him but he's just like this shit happened in my hometown and i'm channeling this and i'm making something good of it so serendipity he's a very yeah he spread it is a serendipitous situation for him so i don't know exactly uh his upbringing too much but i love his message just to spread positivity how do you connect with him through arab through arab yeah arab's the plug there's the plug in lebanon plug yeah dude i love that guy he's fucking hilarious yeah you gotta get him back in here so he's such a it's like the temperature of the room changes when he walks in he's very very philosophical yeah yeah exactly like i i love just letting him just kind of like talk to me about god or whatever like he he's he's just fun to listen to how long have you known him uh about last year and a half but it's just like within the last year and a half like we've probably traveled like five countries together he has family in canada so i'd see him in canada a bit um yeah we've had some trips together he's great what made you finally want to go and cover this obviously this has been going on a while like what's going on in lebanon and and in israel i don't know if there's like the way i think about it like i said i think it it uh it has parallels to what's going on in gaza but no one can go to gaza besides like i guess humanitarian people um but like i said i think the way the idf is conducting their war on terror um it draws parallels right maybe not like gaza is completely the whole thing is destroyed if you looked on satellite images but at least like street blocks in here have that parallel and also the parallels of like they got a warning but they didn't go to the mosque guys or there's two hasbulla guys in this building so they destroyed the own building so i was just like i just wanted to see that and also humanize the situation i didn't want to talk about hasbulla you know i don't know too much about it like i obviously obviously i'm getting more educated now but it wasn't my whole point my whole point was just to be like look at this one kid who just like had a shit blown up and his father who lost friends and family and like like the poster it's just like okay you got to be like you got to be like you got two bad guys but then there's just like 30 innocent people killed it's like is this how we is this how we like conduct a war right yeah so i just wanted to humanize the situation because i think a lot of people are there are demonized because of you know they live in an area ran by hasbulla whatever you want to think of them i don't want to get too into it you know super demonized but like like i went there and i just meant like just super kind like just amazing people right and also like you were talking to i think you talked to a doctor who treated a lot of collateral damage patients that was the pager attack that was the yeah that was the pager so he's talking about like kids that he's treating and stuff he's like all right you're blowing up some hasbulla guys but you're blowing up yeah regular kids and women and other guys there too yeah and i mean some of the things he was going through the the eyes gone you know the legs gone it's just like fuck man yeah no i i think people there like you know they might go through a lot of trauma yeah yeah especially like if you're if you're a doctor but he seemed fairly like he seemed like he dealt with it yeah i wonder how much of it i i'm not discounting the trauma at all but i wonder how much of it you know they develop unfortunately because they have to a level of you know callous the wound and just oh yeah they carry it way better i think a lot of doctors are like that right where i'm not i'm not that person no neither am i i just want to talk to people on an emotional level yeah yeah i think i did a fine job i think you did a great job and and also tammy regularly hauls stuff to her kids at college that's why she shops at bj's wholesale club saving up to 25 off grocery store prices beef jerky microwave meals laundry pods even they can't screw up have you met my kids and with bj's gas when i say seems like a lot when you could just depop all those boots oh resale sucks they take such a big cut there's no selling fees on depop and it's easy to list really huh easy make money on depop with no selling fees download depop and start selling today you know you talk about not being a journalist and this is something i've had to think about a lot too because i'm not a journalist and what i do either but i recognize that there are podcasts sometimes where it either comes into it at some point or like it is that whether i like it or not so when you do that you're not going to be a journalist you know and and i think the example of like 24 hours in israel versus 24 hours in palestine that documentary you know could you see why and i mean this is a compliment why a lot of people would look at and say this is by definition journalism right here you're capturing both sides you're hearing both perspectives and you're allowing people to then hear that and decide for themselves yeah i i definitely see so i i wouldn't i know people can call it journalism people call me a journalist i just wouldn't call it myself because like i said i'm just an individual i i grew up with a lot of people who went to school for journalism like all my friends throughout university were in into journalism even some of the friends i would like dabble making documentaries with and like just like the line of questioning has oh you can't ask a yes or no question you have to like this has to lead into that and i'm just like i'm just here to have a conversation man i think that's changed though too and i'm i'm not the guy to be like oh it's the standards have changed but like just in general to be a hypocrite for a minute yeah the world has changed so much from what the system was set up to be journalistically that what i don't think should happen is therefore you say therefore anything goes and anything's cool like there should be some form of like standard that's found but you kind of have to massage that based on the mediums of through which it's being done there's a huge difference between a guy like you literally running around with a camera and getting full-on live reactions in conversation you versus the guy that goes in there to interview two or three specific people sit down for two hours record it and write an article about it these are these are different things you know the the tide has shifted now individuals have all the power look at like the views like peter stantinello is pulling more than like networks and whatnot it's insane he's just a guy and he can run his platform however you want it's awesome i think i think it's awesome i also think it's a and and i look at it whether i do this job or you know some of my friends i talk to who do a great job in in these different spaces it's also like a really cool new responsibility too you know because we don't want to we saw how much trust righteously so the mainstream media completely obliterated of themselves for so long yeah and we don't want to make those mistakes in a different way you know to play devil's advocate uh i do feel like since you know there's more power within the individuals and especially it's on the internet i think a lot of people are losing the plot and i don't want to name any names but there's certain people that oh i do journalistic work and it's just going into a place and clip farming you know what i mean yeah i agree yeah and like i said i don't want to fucking get into like i certain situations but you know what i mean it's like it's like it's like okay we're going to cover this but it's not a lot of people are doing like the europe has been doing it for a long time and it's like it's like it's like it's fallen thing it's just like okay they want to cover the migration crisis in europe when that's really them just like provoking a scammer and then just getting into a fucking fist fight and they're like hell yeah this is content you know it's just like and then they call themselves a journalist or whatever i think that that's a really good point you're making on something else too because this is another thing i look at all the time there are people who go out of their way to call themselves a journalist and they're not yeah so no humans perfect we all have biases even the best journalists that's how it is but there are people who have hardcore biases like it's not even fucking close and they try to be like yo i'm just calling balls and strikes here no you're not so like one thing i respected like about a guy like sean hannity who you know his worldview my worldview are two very different things is he i remember this he would go out of his way to correct people when they called him a journalist he's like no i'm a commentator i have a point of view i appreciate that yeah right because i i fucking know you do i mean everyone knows you do but like you're absolutely right that there are people who will use that as a shield for what they do and there's a clear agenda behind it and i'll join you and not name names but we're thinking the same people they're just making provocative content they're just going to provoke people yes at that point just to get clips because they understand it's just like all right this exists on youtube as a long format thing but like what's really gonna blow up is this nigerian guy trying to punch me in the face and then my security guard just absolutely dagging him right yeah right if you do that fucking six million times or whatever yeah it gets old yeah and we kind of catch on to your shtick where it's just like dude obviously there's moments that like are quite sensationalized in this where it's just like like you said like a kid is bringing me up to his home that completely got destroyed but like i'm not going in there just be like all right let me get this sad kid oh your house got destroyed all right like let me like hold it right there yeah exactly yeah i need i need more emotion i mean you know i i went in bro there are people who do that bro i went into this with zero expectation bro i was quite actually scared going in south of lebanon it was a ceasefire yet there's fucking drones overhead and shit like yeah people are acting like it's normal it's fine but i had no fucking clue what i was like i'm from ottawa bro yeah bro like i grew up playing fucking hockey and shit you know like and it turned out like there's nothing i don't think there was any i don't think there was any airstrikes that day or anything i stayed i stayed safe all day but i just went in like with an open mind to talk to people and learn not be like all right your house blew up like let me tell me the saddest shit right you right you know yeah and and but that comes across too because you can tell it's like live conversations you're moving along new people are coming in it's not you were even smelling when some stuff felt like a little setup like oh that wasn't yeah that definitely was totally random like i like when someone's like live reacting to it and they're sniffing out the bullshit yeah and i'll play devil's advocate too sometimes like i will try to tell like even if it's just like okay like i went to like show the occupation of like the west bank and whatnot and then i remember this content hasn't came out yet but i remember like some guy telling me just like oh i got in prison because of nothing and then my friend was just like he wasn't in prison right nothing like he was part of a resistance group and i explained that to him and i was like oh my god i'm in prison this you know just like i'm not i'm not gonna oh he's an innocent guy that the idea of just in prison like i'm just like it wasn't because of nothing like you have to do it obviously he's living under occupation his life is fucking shit like if you're i i understand why people join some kind of resistance whenever like this is their life but it's just like i'm not gonna hide this and be like oh they fucking they imprisoned him for nothing they just took him off the street right you know what i mean i i will be completely honest even if i you could say i do have a bias because just like i was there a quite pro-palestinian i wanted to show um a side of occupation maybe a lot of people didn't haven't got the chance to see but at the same time just like if someone tells me something that's the honest truth that isn't supporting like what i am pro for i'm still gonna say right you know what so was that scary to go do that uh it's a pretty active area i mean i mean we i mean we could get into the settler stuff yeah that's all i'm asking about yeah yeah but dude the the i was saying before it's like the settler stuff was uh go back to the instagram uh go which one you want go there's arrow yeah there's there oh wait where is it more down yeah okay so that left bottom left right there yeah i click that one maybe we can see the uh and it's two clips over so this clip and the next clip okay let's hear this one boom and i can i can get into um i can get into this whole day because this was the most impactful day of the trip yeah all right let's run it what is he saying he said why do you come here with the arrows get out of here hey okay so you think we should go no for you if you don't want to get deported i'm not scared i'm not scared at all they're the least intimidating people in the world like this little pipsqueak he's like owning a like owning um a roading you know he's like a roadie you keep in a cage have you ever owned a ferret so um people called me racist for this like a common thing is like the way people like stretch this is they're reaching very very hard to be like oh so all jewish people are oh jesus christ do you and then i'm just like do i have to give you the background here listen like the and i and i've said it already and it's like these kids they're they grow up completely indoctrinated all they do their whole life is harass people they live in these settlements this settlement has literally killed a young palestinian kid you know that's what they do with their eyes their lives they harass they attack and they sometimes even kill and you're mad at me for calling him a fucking rodent that's what he is a fucking road yeah he's also in your face fucking being racist to you he's confronting you as well so it's like if you have nothing to hide dude mm-hmm people should be there yeah yeah they don't like that too much so this is in a town called uh tar messiah and can we pull that tar messiah we'll pull it up on a map yeah um real quick can i just go to the bathroom yeah we'll pick it up right here so we'll pick it up with tar messiah are we getting back into this are we getting back into into geoguessing all right we're back we're just talking off air sorry i ate a lot a lot of watermelon before you came so my bladder's fucking exploding today my bad but what's this thing you were just talking about geoguessing geoguesser the fuck is this i can't believe you guys haven't heard of no i haven't gfaz i mean i mean it's very it's blown up because of like the clips online especially this guy uh rainbolt right rainbow yay i think i think that's his name so essentially what happens is you know you get uh you get dropped in a random part of the map in google street view with the car and you're on a road and then you have to guess exactly where in the world you are and these people have it down to a science it's essentially all pattern recognition and then you have to guess exactly where in the world you are and these people have it down to a science it's essentially all pattern recognition so they'll be like oh so the this dirt and you know you have this road lines and these poles know almost not just the country like the exact region they're in they could pinpoint it within five seconds like oh i want that autism whatever that is give me that dude this this guy i don't know his actual government name but the rainbolt guy like i think he would be an amazing podcast podcast guy oh my god because he obviously knows so much about the world it's just like yeah yeah i think any any any video amanda let's get this guy in yeah no right like celebrities uh where's like that's wild but no okay also also okay no no not just not just that let me let me let me tell you something else it's not just street view right so it he'll someone will send him a photo and like okay so you see that one on the top left it's not just the the map stuff it's like he will go into investigations of where this photo and when it was taken so this guy he sent him this photo is like this is the last picture i had my dad but i don't know what basketball game it was at and this dude like he went through archived photos it's like oh these rafters were there there and he's like ah this there was against and dude he found the exact basketball game in the exact location they were in the stands where he took his last photo dude people be like see that one find my mom she's like hey uh this is the last photo i have of my mom she passed away i just really want to know where this photo is um dude it's not just like the the geoguessing stuff is one thing like this is peak autism this is awesome but he's literally like helping people in the most sentimental way that's amazing like yeah literally people will come to him holy he got it yeah yeah yeah and this is all all he had for clues was like the sign in the background but dude something like this guy in here yeah see the one find my mom that one that one was literally like it was just on the street look he found this exact location like 1995. yeah and he and he still found the exact location it might even be older yeah it could be i'm just looking at the t-shirt and jeans yeah wow and that's in greece right there no but i think i think he was like it was neither of those i think it ended up being italy oh my god she has alzheimer's now so i can't ask her any oh that's so cool and he found it all right where was it exactly what watch spoiler alert the exact location it was in italy bro so he didn't even know the country yeah if it was greece or yemen that narrows it down but he didn't even know the country and i think it was like something to do with the car the middle of the car he narrowed it down to italy and then it's like ah the sunrise in the west sets in the east some like that like bro peak autism it's awesome man that's incredible no i think you definitely need to have this guy out yeah that's right and i honestly do feel like if you need something else to binge um bench him you'll you'll learn a lot about the world as well i feel like this is going to be a new favorite channel right here i love like this i can't believe i'm one of those guys that does love to play on a map and be like cool what does it look like there i do that all the time i can't believe you haven't played geoguessr i know i haven't there is a huge internet subculture dedicated to geoguessr it's massive and and the people are so good at it man it's just like big on reddit i take it oh yeah exactly reddit forums but dude it's like i i would say it's a healthy form of video game oh i think yeah i think it's awesome very cool blasting massad on cod or something like this is educational exactly a kid could look at this and start to be curious about the world and want to know i think it's so good for like um like almost like iq training because it's just like dude your your iq is like are you just intelligent it's just pattern recognition and that's all it is it's just like all right you see these pulls you see these trees you see this type of sand whatever and like you just start to put it in your database and then put a results and click it and he's so accurate with that that's so cool man yeah i'm gonna be binging the out of that shout out to rainbolt everyone go check it out if dude if you have him on please please tell him i sent him you gotta come in here if you come i would i would love that it would be dude it would be cool if you live like played against him just to like show like the comparison of someone where it's just like you're worldly and but like you you oh he'd body bag me no like that's what i mean like like you might you might guess like literally the other side of the world where he gets it like a kilometer within five seconds yeah no i would love to see that like how especially like the one you were showing me with the dad right there where he gets it down to the restaurant how many steps it takes to get there but you know that's actually a cool thing too is like you could send him a photo from your childhood or something like if you wanted he'd want to do oh you want to do some prep work for the show like this is a there's a photo from my child will you come here and surprise me and like see if you could blow your mind or something that's actually an amazing i don't know if you have anything sentimental like that like like actually like you would actually want to figure it out but yeah he could he could be that guy that detective that worldwide i would definitely want to figure it out about people i love who were in another place than i was because i'd be able to know i'd be like oh that's you know alaska 97 or something like that but like when it's when it's when you're not in it if it's like a picture of my mom and she's like i can't remember where that was yeah something like that that would be so cool fucking cool i'm genuinely good with maps but sometimes i have pictures from places in the world i'm like i i don't even remember what city this is in right like town you're everywhere yeah yeah exactly and i would love to know but it would be so cool with like your parents yeah they had like travel pictures they it would blow their mind i mean shed a little tear their eyes bring them back a little memory you know you know this is a little homestay i stayed at i don't know if your parents ever did anything like that but yeah if you wanted anything sentimental for him to dig up that's he's he's all about that and he's he's helping people man that's so cool shout out rainbow yeah for sure always learn something new on this show that's why we bring people in but we left off we have the map d for the how do you say this place again uh term messiah term messiah so this is in the west bank can we zoom out a little bit deep just for a minute just so people can get a lay of the land to where it is so this is this is northwest of gaza obviously on on the other side of the country but so this north of jerusalem north of jerusalem about an hour north of jerusalem okay so first of all why did you pick this place of all the places uh it was super random man so uh i was with a friend uh he's on the internet he goes by saluki and basically that day we were like it was the start of oh potentially a three-day mission we wanted to investigate uh settlers in the west bank um if if you don't know what like essentially a settler is it's like people who how should i say this and i'm not i'm not an expert in this whatsoever but it's just like um jewish people who believe that the land of palestine is their ancestral homeland so the the palestinian people who are there living in these lands they they go and they'll they'll settle make settlements in their field and essentially do what they whatever tactic they need to do to drive them out displace them from their homes eventually either take over the land or take over the land they're going to take over their homes eventually either take over their homes or bulldoze them and create i guess israeli settlements there and a lot of people this is their whole life this is all they know their their parents make them do this from a young a very young age and they get the funding from it obviously and they have this they get the funding from it yeah like i don't know exactly where but it's like obviously there's a lot of rich people who also believe in this cause they can get the funding for it um i don't know if it comes directly from the state but they also have the support of the idf so no matter if they look like a little 15 year old pix pipsqueak that you would love to slime out you can't because you know the the idf is behind them figuratively and literally in some situations and even if they're kicking palestinians out of their home the idf will say something just like well this is now and uh this this land is for the some like this is now uh a military like this is a military training site i don't even know the the terminology it's like this is once again challenging my ignorance here but the idf will come and take their side and essentially help them displace local palestinians from their home from their field from their land so i remember i used to see videos of this maybe like a decade ago and i'm like that's god literally my reaction was like that's got to be taken out of context that can't be real like you just walk up to someone who's lived in a house for a hun their family's been there 100 years 200 years and you're just like you're gone and and that's why i wanted to experience this i'm just like this like i see it all the time on my feet especially since i was like going to take this trip through israel in palestine i'm just like how much is this is embellished is this real and then i saw it firsthand even if it was like a non-violent or confrontational interaction i still saw it and i heard tell us what you thought about it and i was like i don't know what to do with it i heard testimonies from the people and i'm just like whoa this is very very real um so essentially on this day we we wanted to film something to do with settlers and the occupation so we left from nablus um in the west bank and this is so interesting is there there's all these like israeli settlement towns there you know they're i think they call them uh zone it's either i think there's zone a wait i don't know isn't it don't they separate something because i've never been there it's like they put the country in zone one two and three or whatever they code it that way yeah yeah so it's zone abc i'm just trying to think if it's either zone a is completely israeli or zone c is completely israeli and i know the comment this guy doesn't know anything about this but it's just like i know a lot about the zones i just don't know which one is a okay wait let me let me get this picture up for you so it's just like so the one that is completely hold it a little bit this way for palestinians is zone a this sign this sign on the road that i've experienced that you can read it out loud all right yeah so dave can you see that on the screen you want to read it out loud uh this this road leans to this road leads to area a under palestinian authority the entrance for israeli citizens is forbidden dangerous to your lives and against the israeli law yeah and but i literally have israeli friends who not just frequent zone a's who literally live in zone a's you know i was going around with my friend and talking to the locals and being like hey do you have a problem with this guy he's israeli obviously he's very pro-palestinian and he's on their side so they're all just like i was gonna say he's an arab israeli right that guy uh i was a little confused by that yeah no i think he's she's jewish like he is he is yeah he's jewish israeli he's very pro-palestinian he's very pro-palestine yeah because he he grew up in south africa he uh experienced apartheid in south africa and then whenever he he came back to israel he was telling me about how you know they grew up taking arabic class classes to learn the language and the teacher left i don't know i shouldn't be laughing but the teacher left the room and the started the kids started like chanting like death to arabs or some shit and like he i guess since he grew up like outside of it and right in south africa he's like what is going on here this is fucking crazy these kids are fucking brainwashed that's the thing like they accuse the other side of doing that and by the way there is evidence that the other side does that as well to them yeah what i take issue with is that they're like they're like they're like they're like they're like what i take issue with is the projection because it's like whatever they accuse okay sometimes it's 100 right in in some cases but y'all do it too yeah and you guys are the ones with the government and military estate and fucking funding from the number one gdp exactly that's what i'm trying to say is like there's extremes on both sides i'm not going to deny this but i'm going to side with i guess the people who are the underdog essentially the people who don't have a fucking even a stone in this fight if they have a stone in this fight they got fucking locked up and tortured and shit so yeah obviously i'm not gonna side with the people who being oppressed you know right all right sorry i'm gonna side with people being oppressed not the oppressor the way the way i look at it so so you go into this settlement well i actually want to like uh back up how we got there so we so we were in nablus which was in area a we just went over that and then so we we but we take a cab to nablus and we go to nablus and we go to nablus and we go to area c which is only for israelis right it's an israeli settlement so israelis even if you saw that side israelis can go into area a come and go all they want but palestinians can't go into area c like they're completely every uh israeli settlement has like an idf check post at the start of it and like is that a place that the international map show to be palestine right now it would be technically in the west bank there's a bunch of settlements all over the west bank and guess if you bring up a map of a b and c they would be marked as area c just small settlements throughout um but you're saying palestinians cannot go into that area even though international maps show that that is not israeli territory yeah i think they're technically a legal under international law right so how is that allowed beats fucking i don't do i don't know it's i keep waiting to find like some sort of like oh oh right it's it's because you know can't find it i mean they're they're greedy they're under occupation they're any settler is uh has the idf behind them they can do what they want with the support of the idf and the big yahoo so let me let me go like so we're we're going from an area c and the thing about uh the area c's is you know there's a bunch of israeli settlements scattered around yeah you got it up here scattered around the west bank and um a lot of people since there's not like buses from there to there they'll hitchhike and me and saluki like we have that the privilege of having canadian passport and being an israeli we just started an israeli settlement and just this we're just didn't even put our thumbs up just flagged down a car and just got picked up right away and just like hey we're going i think we said we're going to jerusalem bring us as far as we can and the first dudes to pick us two idf 22 year olds dude is packing in there so we're cracking jokes like hey like does it uh are you are you concerned like the goyim's in your car or something he's like nah i'm good like i'm i'm i got my i'm packing so we're good so yeah we're cracking jokes and whatnot but it's crazy from like the type uh from area c to area c from these israeli settlements like there's like young 10 year old girls that will just hitchhike and they'll just get in anyone's car and just like go from settlement to settlement they don't have like any buses so it's just like it's very common there just to hitchhike so we hitchhike to a place called tatar messiah uh i did feel bad at one point i'm i'm basically leaking this whole youtube video but it's funny so we get it we we get in the idf car get dropped on the main road we get into another guy's car the thing about taluki is like he likes to put on different like personas and different aliases so he's pretending with this guy he's like from quebec and he's on a birthright trip no one from his family lineage has ever moved to the holy land so this guy's uh and this guy he's going to another israeli settlement called chilo he's so excited he's like oh my god like i have to make a best impression like give me your whatsapp and uh you could come to shabbat dinner and then like after that after we got out of the car like uh he was just like damn like i kind of feel bad you know but anyway so shiloh there's there's shiloh there's a big field in between which are palestinian fields and then there's torres messiah torres messiah is a lot of um americans uh palestinian americans who live in this town palestinian americans yeah they have dual dual citizenship um and a lot of them are quite wealthy right um we go to this uh lawyer's house he's basically he's palestinian spent some time in america and then has moved back to palestine um to for to be an advocate you know um and you know use his his leverage of knowing the law and whatnot to his advantage and he's explaining uh basically you know he has him and everyone who lives in this town has fields that their ancestors have owned for hundreds and hundreds of years and within the last maybe five years or so they've been occupied by israeli settlers and they haven't been able to go to their fields within the last three or four years that they own and uh pick their pomegranates their olives and whatnot and anyone who tries will get like violently attacked and he showed me videos of you know some palestinian car coming from their own field and like uh settlers just absolutely attacking it smashing their glass um beating them whatnot like they're lucky to make it out alive um there was one kid he was 14 years old he was american palestinian just visiting and i think he got into a confrontation with the settlers maybe he was throwing rocks or something and they killed him um and this is the same settlement that i kind of uh had this exchange with that's why i didn't have any empathy for them and i was fine with yeah calling them no i thought ferrets and whatnot yeah listen and and he's like in your face like harassing you assaulting you yeah i'm not saying you get what you get yeah i'm not saying it was the same kid but it was from the same settlement that they were responsible for this young kid's death yeah dave can we pull up how many settler caused deaths and look i want to have happened since october 7th 2023 there is a statistic for this and none of them as of a couple months ago none of them have been tried in court and also another let me just get this seal so we have it so according to the united nations ocha over a thousand palestinians have been killed in the west bank by israeli forces and armed settlers combined so it's both it's not just settlers it's both it's also the idf since october 7th while the exact standalone tallies solely for settler inflicted fatalities are difficult to isolate completely from military operations i wonder why monitoring groups and reports indicate the following total deaths over a thousand palestinian deaths settler attacks the united nations office for the coordination of humanitarian affairs and media analyses of military data have documented thousands of violent settler incidents with specific yearly breakdowns such as 20 2024 and 2025 showing dozens of deaths directly or indirectly linked to the nationalist motivated settler violence and clashes and i do want to say pierce morgan has done some awesome work on this having that daniella weiss lady on have you seen this no i haven't okay just go listen type in piers morgan daniella weiss pause this video go do it type in piers morgan daniella weiss to youtube and go listen to her talk she for example her latest he she keeps going on thinking it's helping it's not but you know her latest video peers simply asked her the question he was like do you believe that one human life that is israeli is equal to one human life that is palestinian and she would not answer the question because you see many of them and they're just like i don't believe that a thousand even a million palestinian lives is uh worth mine and their reasoning is based in theology because they're the chosen because they're the chosen people and so i think a lot of these young settler kids that are very indoctrinated justify their violence with that because they've grown up in like an echo chamber a microcosm of theology that's right thinking they're the chosen people and like by any means necessary they can to what they describe as like reclaim their their land their their holy land you know i there was there was this thing that stuck with me this was a few months ago but i walk along the hudson here you a lot and there was one night where i was walking on the usual trail and in front of me was a family of orthodox jews and they're all facing away from me because they're all walking in the same direction i am but the father had a little i guess daughter on his on his shoulder she couldn't have been older than like a year old and so i was like smiling saying hello she's smiling back waving the whole bit normal you know it's just like a cute little kid a couple nights later might have been the next night but it was the same week i'm in the same place literally coming around that same bend on that part of the trail and same thing except it's a muslim family and same thing daughter one or two years old on the dad's shoulders and i'm doing the same thing with the little girl and she's just smiling back and it really hit me after that because i was like you know what it's so simple but those two kids and i don't know where the muslim family was from but chances are those two kids are raised to think the other one's not human and to hate each other but when they're one or two years old right there they know nothing about that and it's all human it's all the same human and everyone's a product of their own environment not to get on a tangent you want to actually know something i uh we'll get back to the settler thing but you know it's something that really surprised me about the the orthodox people and you see it a lot here in new york is that they're very not all of them but uh they're not zionist many some of them yeah some of them but many of them are pro-palestinian because the state of israel goes against the their holy the torian i'm not a professional in this but i did witness it firsthand that we went into one of these very orthodox communities where you know they're all dressed up and whatnot i will say they're they were completely standoffish they were kind of fucking assholes to be honest but like fair play we're like a foreigner in their life but i give them a lot i give them a lot of respect as much as they were just fucking dickheads like i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know like i remember we tried to interview one guy and he's just like all right make it quick and he's just like well i was like what does it mean to be orthodox jews like we don't come in here dressed up like you guys i'm like all right and then he just ended the interview there as much as they were kind of like a standoffish like i do have to give them their flowers that you know that they think they believe that you know because of the teachings of their holy book that you know the uh the state of israel goes against judaism so they will proudly throw up the um the the palestinian flag they'll paint it all over their walls and stuff and then the idf come and they raid the place they take away the flags they cover the flags and they'll get into you're talking about the ones over there the ones in jerusalem yeah yeah yeah i don't know if we want to get into a tangent but it makes you think like okay a lot of people say like israel is like the only democracy the only place with free speech in the middle east but it's just like well it isn't the couldn't you make an argument that's the it's only the only zionists have free speech there if you know you have these orthodox people who study the torah all day every day and they're like being silenced they're being harassed and raided for simply like putting up a flag and not acknowledging that this is israel yeah and that's the frustrating one of the most frustrating parts about this whole thing is it's constantly like so you're saying that this is good then when you call out something that they do wrong they'll be like oh so you think like the iranian government's good i'm like no no one ever said that i think they're terrible that's what I like it blows my mind that's what i hate about the internet like dude like we just saw the uh the lebanon shit it was very like non-political i just wanted to humanize the people the young kids or the innocent people going through war the amount of fucking bullshit messages and comment comments i got just be like you support fucking terrorism you are uh you're you're sponsored by qatar all this shit man it's just like can a mother fucking just go in here and just show like that like innocent people are um experiencing war on a daily basis you know just humanize people there was very little mention of hasbulla whatever we needed to do to give the history and some people mentioned them you know but for me it was just like i just wanted to show people affected by war and then i posted this and just like oh so you support a terrorist organization basically you're gonna you the internet as you well know because you've been in it a long time it opens up every realm of possibility of opinions and the fact of the matter is anytime you do any story even the ones that aren't controversial yeah you are gonna get people to hate you i i showed a clip it was quite hilarious of how this clip played out maybe you've seen of just a probably a teenage girl saying fuck palestine yeah i saw and people are commenting you support hamas you're a hamas supporter i got even worse ones like did people care to watch that one in context you were at the market talking with a million different people and this chick insisted on being videoed you just turned around and she goes fuck palestine yeah yeah yeah any anything that shows israeli society in a slightly negative light that's what they throw at you the dirty the dirty t word yeah yeah yeah should we go back to yes please settler story let's do it so um we're there with the american lawyer right uh in america and uh his family they own this plot of land where they've been constructing uh three homes on there um very nice and big homes but because of uh the settler harassment they had to stop the project so there's just and you can see it in the clip where i'm calling the kid a pipsqueak it just looks like a construction site because they've been sitting vacant there because they're so close to the settlement that uh the the daily harassment wouldn't let like yeah you can see there and there are three very nice homes homie probably put a lot of fucking money into this for their family to live and um the project had to be abandoned because these kids who live down in those fields that just are straight ahead uh just came there every day and would harass them so essentially we're there we're on the edge where you can see out into his fields his olive trees and his pomegranate trees where the settlers have set up a camp and we're looking at the settlement camp and he's just like give it three minutes or something you'll see and sure enough we see a quad come out from the settlement pull up at first he thought it would be their dad which if it was their dad it would be a little bit more civil because this guy obviously on opposing side would have has had civil conversations with the dad but he's like if it's the kids like we should just go because they're shit disturbers you know and of course the kids are worse because yeah the dad is there like he will maybe have a a conversation with you where the the kids are just there to harass you know imagine that yeah but but imagine that how much of a coward do you have to fucking be to send your children out to do the dirty work that that includes like fucking being violent aggressive real good fucking parenting yeah um so he sends the kids there three of the kids pop out i didn't see it but apparently the this kid there than the one with the glasses had a gun on him the other one was on the phone with the idf and this is what happens all the time is you can't do anything like oh dude there's you watch these settler videos and you just slime that motherfucker you can't do anything bro or else you'll fucking it's a good thing like the thing they are since i said there's a lot of americans there they're a little bit more protected the american passport saluki here he has an israeli passport i have a canadian passport it's much different for people with who are strictly palestinian they can do whatever the fuck they want you know they could call the idf and they will fucking detain them and oh you're resisting and just fucking put them in a prison what about some of these palestinian american kids though there's been a couple cases i've seen if i'm remembering them correctly i hope i am where they've been killed over there and then they report it to their embassy and they're like sorry yeah man i i don't know exactly it sounds like a conflict of interest considering the amount of funding they got from the u.s but but that but that's the other thing malaka we're paying you yeah so if you kill one of ours yeah you think you would cause like an international dispute but it hasn't and that's what happened there is a 14 year old american palestinian who was just visiting there um i don't know exactly how many years old but um yeah 14 years old yeah yeah so we we were here and it You know, I thought, like, these kids would come out and be like, yo, what's up, guy? Not what's up, like, but I just didn't expect them. It was just, this was like the kind of, like, the light bulb went up in my head where, like, oh, this is real. Where it's like, dude, we are on Palestinian land. We're on my friend's family's land. Like, and they come up and there's like, leave, leave. You got to go. What the fuck are you talking about? We're literally on this dude's, his own fucking property. And you're this little fucking pipsqueak that's like telling us, get the fuck out of here. We're on the phone with the IDF. You need to fucking leave right now. That's when I like, and obviously it wasn't as crazy as some of the clips you see online where things get violent. They have sticks. It gets so much worse than this. But even if this was just like a small interaction, that's when the light bulbs went off in my head. I'm like, oh. Holy fuck. He also looks older, too. This is fucking real. Yeah, maybe he's not. I keep saying 15, but who knows? But still, like, who knows how long he's been doing this for? You know, like, he's a young kid. And that's like, dude, after this, I got like, I kind of got a little sad. I kind of got real and vulnerable in the car. I'm just like, dude, I, as much as I'm going to fucking troll these kids because it's funny. Like, dude, imagine growing up like that. Yeah, you don't know. That's, that's his worldview. He thinks this is, he thinks he's the good guy. Yeah. Tammy regularly hauls stuff to her kids at college. That's why she shops at BJ's Wholesale Club, saving up to 25% off grocery store prices. Beef jerky, microwave meals, laundry pods, even they can't screw up. Have you met my kids? And with BJ's gas, she gets there for less. They call me the road warrior. This is your home, road warrior mom. Home of the save. Join for just $20 at BJ's dot com slash mesquite and save 10 cents per gallon for six months. Open soon. Limited time offer. New members only. BJ's. Home of the save. What are you doing? Setting up my poll. Here, start filming when I say. Ugh, resale sucks. Ugh, really? Huh, easy. And what despicable fucking parenting like if you if you claim you're such a progressive fucking society, you know, there there's child protective services like where we come from. Obviously, anything like that wouldn't fly if there's such a progressive fucking society. How can a child his whole life be only told to attack, harass, not attend school? And this is what you're doing. And you're actually doing. You're actually doing very noble work according to our theology, you know, and and so in a sense, I do feel bad for the kids because that's the I was given a childhood I was given free will I was given a choice what I want to go to school for the sports I want to play and shit and they're just fucking grow up like that so as much as I'm going to clown on the kids like fucking horrible parenting agreed it's horrible but that doesn't matter to them. They're doing something noble in in their eyes. Is this the one place in in the settlements where you actually were on the ground or did you go other places in there too? Yeah, we went other places, but we this was the only like confrontation we had with these young settler kids who like, you know, their job is to harass like this is the only incident where it's just like, I wish I I documented more of this. And if I ever can I don't think I can go back bro. I was gonna say like one and done. I mean, I feel like it's gotta be but if I could ever go back like that would be the goal is to document the the legal settlement of the West Bank and have more in like document what is actually going on and actually show that things get violent. People get like Palestinians get killed over this. So what happened after that we have we have the map here is. You know, you have term Messiah down there to the south all the between Shiloh in term Messiah is the occupied Palestinian fields and there's a vineyard in in Shiloh and the the their their fields that they're taking the grapes farm are essentially occupied grapes or at least we want to occupy grapes. Yeah, you drink an occupied wine. If you buy that Shiloh, we're gonna get sued bro. I won't say the name of the vineyard, but it's something basic. Like the name of the town or some shit we can bleep it if you want. No, it's fine. Yeah, so dude me and Saluki were like yo, let's go to the vineyard and let's ask about the fields and shit and to keep he fucking went so deep into the role. He's just like, oh, I'm a Tunisian that's been displaced from my homeland for my Jewish beliefs. I'm here on birthright. He was at like there's this lady that was showing around. She's like so that bless her soul. She was so nice, but she was that she's been there for like she was like a Jew who like moved back there. And had been there for three years. Like she was so nice to us. Did you ask her about the settlements? He did, but he was deep in the role. He's just like, oh, what's that town over there? She's like, oh, that's an Arab town. And he was like, oh, those pesky Arabs. Some shit like like dude, he was so deep. And I was like actually concerned. I'm like, bro, you're in so deep on this role. What would her reaction be when he would say shit like that though? I think she just brushed it off. And it wasn't like we had a fucking oh, gotcha moment. But I think like her ignorance did speak. Oh, very loudly. Where it's like, you know, we're asking about, oh, are they land disputes here? And she's like, I don't know nothing about that. And she's worked there for fucking three years. We could see the settlement in front of her eyes in the field. She knows everything about what's going on here. It's made international headlines. What's happening in Tarmasaya, right? It's all over the obviously if you live in Shiloh, you know what's happening in Tarmasaya. And she's just playing. I don't know anything happening. Yeah. And so she's just like, you know, obviously we're like in. We're two undercover tourists acting like we're fucking. I'm a Canadian that's just like interested in my like trip in the homeland. And Saluki is a Tunisian that's been displaced from his. Shout out Saluki, man, playing all these roles. Yeah. And so like we just we're like playing tourist. And like when we were actually asking about she brought us around for 20 minutes. We're asking about the grapes, the vineyard and stuff. But, you know, I when we tried. To get what we wanted out of her, it was just straight ignorant. I don't know nothing about that. Right. I just like my grapes and my nice occupied wine. And I feel bad because she was a very, very nice lady. But I mean, I think her her ignorance does speak a lot. And then, dude, the crazy part is when we were leaving the vineyard, dude, we saw the settler kids again. And we had the same ones, the same ones. And we had to go hide in like a coffee shop. And, you know, I said there's like a big hitchhiking culture there. Like we had to like find someone to get us like in. Like get in their car, bring us to the main road. So, like, I think they they saw us and they were walking towards there. Yeah, I was 95 percent sure it was them. I got a review of the footage, but it was like a moment where it was like, dude, those look like that. I pretty 100 percent sure that 90 percent sure those are the same settler kids. Yeah, I'd be. Yeah, that's an area. And if we did see them again and like they're the same thing, they could have just called the IDF. And like, that's what I'm saying. That's an area where bullets go off. No one. No one's ever going to know nothing or even if they know that nothing will happen. Luckily, and you're just luckily I'm protected. It's crazy that as a Canadian, I have more rights in Palestine than a Palestinian. Right, because there's been so many situations where, you know, like a Palestinian has been killed by a member of the IDF and there's absolutely zero consequences. But I think, you know, me as a Canadian, like there's much more consequences if something were to happen. I mean, like you said, sometimes something things don't happen like there's been who is the girl that got bulldozed settlement like 20 years ago. One thing I would like to say is that people like Saluki, who are Israeli and pro-Palestinian and are activists in showing this are very, very important because Palestinians can't do that kind of thing. They don't have like any rights in their own homeland. And if they do try to speak out. And do that kind of thing. They're not only susceptible to attacks, violence, arrested or even being killed. It's just like even if they posted on social media, they could be detained or something, whereas like an Israeli is protected by their citizenship. So there is a lot of Israelis that are pro-Palestinian. There's this one guy named Andre. He's been documenting so much settler violence in the West Bank and I need to give him his flowers done amazing job of it. And he. He's I think he's as I know he's Israeli. He might be Israeli, Russian or something, but he's just like an Israeli who's like standing for the Palestinians and he is protected by his citizenship. And I feel like if there is anyone who, you know, they have that stance and they have that, it's just like they can use that citizenship to their advantage so they can document this without going to jail or anything. You know, that's when, you know, they actually get. the advantage of having free speech. Obviously, there's still-- like that that andre guy has been detained suki has been detained put in prison but still they're not getting fucking killed like the same way or getting put in prison and tortured like yeah way more rights you know so they're doing very noble work because they have that citizenship now we've alluded to it a few times today in different contexts but the one you did that was 24 hours in israel and 24 hours in palestine so this is like an hour and nine minute documentary you put together your day in israel if it's actually like 16 hours on the ground were you filming the entire time uh yeah most of it right it was a short day but that's what i'm saying like even to get it down i think you had like 40 to 45 minutes yeah on that one to get it down from all the footage you probably captured all day that's what i always think about with you guys like the editing you got to do because you're capturing so much good live shit i think that day was about like four hours of footage the the conversation the conversation with uh tal the traveling clad um at the end was about an hour long conversation reduced like seven minutes got it okay so when you went there though because i really thought you did a great job you you got connected not everyone thought i did a great job i was called bias a lot well it's my it's my opinion on it like you were out front about what you thought of this but you made a by the way i think you spent 45 minutes on israel and 24 minutes on palestine too so you spent a lot more time on them for that to happen but i think dude honestly in the in the edit i think more stuff happened in the time i was in israel and dude i'm not gonna lie i met some very lovely people a lot of people didn't make me pay or anything but dude my whole point is like dude israel can tel aviv's gorgeous the the women there are gorgeous there's good food that's taken from all these other countries that's not actually their food um i'm just saying like dude obviously it's it's fun to go have a good time in tel aviv that can't be fucking critical of their government i think that's where people get it fucked up and that was my whole point of like meeting up with the kid tal he's such a nice little little other town little town we prefer to uh towel the traveling club big towel he was the one who had the conversation far right and then little towel is like he's um he's israeli-american but he's like i don't want to talk politics i just i want to humanize everyone like you know he's like he has a good heart you know and my my thing with him is just like bro you're you're basically saying um but like look how nice it is who the fuck cares if israel has a fucking nice beach obviously tel aviv is fucking beautiful it is like it's world class but who the fuck cares when there's fucking war crimes going like right it's a total whataboutism that was my criticism to him and you know he was nice enough to be like all right why if you ever come here like i'll go around with you and that's what i did with him and we went around and a lot of people thought the day was fucking orchestrated and just like there was like oh it was set up it's like oh he brought to you to this guy who didn't make me pay i think it was all authentic like so yeah so you didn't pick up on and i don't i think obviously he wants me to bring me to the nicest people that right but i don't i don't think it was but you were also catching stuff for people where people had you know but like we already showed the one chick who had rough opinions on camera yeah of course you know i'm not gonna hold this back she's telling me how to edit my shit he's like cut that please why not you guys getting clipped oh he wanted you to cut that she wanted me after she said fuck palestine i'm pretty sure tal was just like you know he has an actual platform and she's just like i love everyone like please come to israel israel loves the world like shit like that like total total 180 so now did i show like her aggression be like fuck palestine like i showed her complete 180 her shift in town yeah and that's the thing like you being able to just kind of like because like the commentary is hilarious because you were given like instant thoughts when people would say a thing like away from the earshot and i thought that was like so good because it would either be something like wow this lady's actually really nice or like wow what a bitch you know and people can kind of see the dichotomy that goes on because like you said like you're gonna find a lot of people who are good people you're gonna find people who are brainwashed and you find some people that are bad people it's kind of how it is anywhere that's yeah dude if someone's nice to me like obviously people think i'm biased but do you think if like a nice israeli person like doesn't make me pay i'm just like this doesn't feed the narrative let's fucking cut it out like i i would even like stop people up in the comments because like they're like wow it's crazy that the uh only israeli that didn't let you pay was actually like israeli arab like isn't that crazy i'm like oh no that's not true like the brazilian guy he didn't let me pay like we had like a bunch of stuff from like his shit so just like no dude i'm just gonna humanize everyone but it doesn't mean if that amazing day in palestine or sorry it doesn't mean if i had amazing day in talavib that like i can't be against you know occupation in the state of israel right they're coming for you yeah oh shit they're out there right here massad's in this building they're gonna dude massad's tuned in they're they're gonna they're gonna knock the fuck out they're gonna knock the fuck out dude i've received a lot of crazy messages and this is i'm just the start of the content and i'm trying to i'm not like uh i don't have crazy like obviously i'm pro palestinian but i have crazy hard opinions you know like i'm not like extreme about anything but i've received like crazy dms i mean you probably have it too you probably get it too yeah listen you gotta just laugh it off yeah listen when you're getting called pro one side or the other in the same comment section on both ends yeah and then you're like you're probably doing something and honestly it sucks because like you know i i tried to i wanted to go and check out the west bank but fuck it i'm gonna make like a video in talaviv i'm gonna see how it is you know how many people were like unfollow like the the simply because i got off the fucking airplane in talaviv and i was just like oh like here i am i'm right in i'm in israel and i'm also going to the west bank and it's just like i wish people could understand my intention like i'm literally here like to um show like uh settlers in the west bank and whatnot and you're telling me you're fucking gonna unfollow me simply because like i'm here in in israel it is and it is a one of the most toxic high button emotional issues i've ever seen yeah i remember when when tommy went to think about going to start to cover it which obviously now he covers it a lot tommy g this is probably i think he called me like summer 2025 he's like i'm really thinking about doing this israel palestine thing like he wanted to eventually do that and but he wanted to like cover the story and like some of the government overlap in america and i was like dude this is when you take that step in ain't no stepping out like i know man get it like you've never gotten it before he's like okay yeah no it's like it's something you gotta face like if you're putting out con content from there the the wave is going to be a much bigger than you expected yeah i there were some other friends i had who were looking at doing that story and they did they just didn't understand that and i was like fellas but shout out to all the people who have fucking gone and done it like yeah like uh like andrew channel 5 andrew callahan yeah andrew callahan yeah yeah sick as fuck so yeah shout out to everyone like who isn't just on a university campus shouting from the river to the sea and don't really understand it's not like i understand it more than these people but like it was just like instead of doing that and doing put basically putting anything on my instagram like i do believe in this cause i don't know much about this cause but i want to go and see it for myself so good for you man thanks yeah i thought you did a great job so there's plenty more content to come we'll see guys where else did you go uh in in the region or in in the region yeah so i i started off in in lebanon like you saw the clips from south lebanon then i went to syria oh you went to syria i went to syria what's that like right now dude syria like you can tell syria is recovering that's like the best word to describe for them but the people are very hopeful and they showed a lot of resilient resilience everyone there has been affected by war whether that be your house got destroyed or you were detained and put in one of these prisons and tortured or just like you're kind of related to anyone that these things have happened to um so yeah everyone there has been affected by war and it was very impactful to see and but you could tell they're also so proud that now they have a their country that's how they look at it is liberated and even people who are just like so fucked up from war and you know going to prison were still just like really wanted to talk to me they couldn't speak english i just did it through a translator but they wanted to tell their stories they wanted to yeah just be like this is what happened here one of the most evil regimes of all time but now we're like so proud we're rebuilding so it was a slew of emotions i was from like places that were completely destroyed people that have been in prison all of that everyone's been affected oh yeah we always talk about it but it's insane how many subgroups were effectively fighting against each other there and during that long war it wasn't like 10 it was hundreds and that's the thing is like dude i i you know i tried to do research going in and i'm just like oh this was not straightforward whatsoever this isn't just like there was like this was like a war and i'm like oh my god this is like a war and i'm like oh my god this regime and then there was this one resistance movement it was just like there was a whole bunch and they didn't all have the same goals and missions and like i said i'm not an expert on it but like it was all types of fucked up but like like anywhere is similar to like the south lebanon shit it's just like my goal wasn't overly to get political i just like i kind of just wanted to go and humanize the people and let them tell their stories you know what they've been through and the resilience of these people and it was the same as south lebanon except they experienced this maybe like a five or five or so years ago and um it was the same shit just like we won't leave if we die here that's god God's will. That is something I hear all over the Muslim world. It's like, they are content with death. They would rather die than abandon their homeland, where it's like, I don't know if me and you can say the same. We're also so new in this part of the world compared to that part of the world. I mean, that is beyond biblical shit. It's thousands and thousands of years, and it's so ingrained. And I can never fully understand it. I can understand when someone from that is explaining it to me based on just how they feel about it, but I can't understand how it feels to be in it. Well, everyone's a product of their own environment. And dude, we just, I don't know exactly how you grew up, but maybe it's similar to me. I had a great childhood. Just growing up, I grew up in a small town playing hockey, skating, soccer, just shit like that. Yeah, I don't have a thing to complain about. Same thing. Same thing. I think it was the greatest fucking thing ever, comparatively speaking, for sure. I get so much satisfaction when people, their takeaway from my video is gratitude. Yeah. That's just what I'm going for. I'm glad I have a big Western audience. And, you know, people are very grateful for the lives they live. When did it really, like, what video started to make it really click for you to where it was like, ooh, I might be able to go fucking do this full time? Hmm. I mean, this is a. This might bring us back to, like, videos that aren't so, like, serious, you know? Who cares? That's great. This is, like, honestly, what I've did here is some of my more serious work. That doesn't mean I'm going to go forward and always get political. No, your content's fun. Yeah, it's fun. It should stay that way. Even, and even when I cover something more serious, like Settlers, we're still, like, there's still going to be fun aspects like that, like putting on a Yeah. like going and examining the occupied grapes and putting on, like, an alias or some shit like that. Black comedy is one of the best teachers there is. I completely agree. Yeah. Yeah. When did it make a difference for you? I think whenever, like I was saying, when you take your side hustle and you make it your main hustle, and that was, like, my second India trip, and I was like, I'm going to go to India, I'm going to go to Pakistan, and I'm going to go to Afghanistan all in one trip. I'm going to run. India, Pakistan. Pakistan, Afghanistan. Yeah, yeah. It's the Holy Trinity right there. Yeah, yeah, that, no, that truly is the Holy Trinity. If you want to get into the content game, if you just want to, like, clip max and just, like, yeah, get into it and also just throw yourself into, like, the thick of, like, kind of probably the most stressful travel situations, because India is a fucking headache. Pakistan as well. The good thing about Pakistan, though, is everyone there is, like, so helpful and they speak English, so it's, like, almost easy to get around in a sense, you know? It's not, like, they don't. They don't have the greatest infrastructure or whatever, but everyone there is so kind to foreigners, they're so willing to help you. So, in a sense, it is kind of easy to go around Pakistan, but, yeah, that. What was their view on America, by and large? Oh, they love everyone. They do. Bro, dude, so many countries have. They're not fucking dumb. They have the ability to separate their governments from the people. Like, dude, I go to fucking Israel, I met a nice Israeli, I'm just like, dude, you're just a stand-up dude, you were probably born into this. Like, you're a solid dude, right? And I think it's like that everywhere around the world. Like, dude, I went to Iraq with my homie Connor, small-brained American. This was a trip, it was, like, four years ago. I was talking at a sabbatical about getting him on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'd love to have that guy on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I need to get Connor on. Connor's awesome. And this was, like, four years ago when both of us only had, like, 2,000 subscribers, and he was, like, kind of worried going into it, being American. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I honestly, at that point, I wasn't too familiar with the history and everything. No, no, no, I knew a little bit. Of Iraq? Of Iraq, but not the extent, you know? Okay. And he was really concerned going into this. He's like, I don't want to get fucking disappeared or anything. Like, I don't want to. And they were the nicest people we ever met. We did not pay for a single thing that whole trip besides our hotel. Wow. We'd get in someone's fucking cab, and they'd be like, yeah, no, it's all good. And we'd go, and we'd have fucking shawarma. No, it's all good. Like, dude, they. After all that, after all those years, too. Yeah, because it's not an America thing. It's like, you're a guest thing. They look at it, and it's just like, wow, we're a country with, like, such a bad reputation, and no one wants to come here. And yet, you guys chose to come on your fucking holiday year. You could have went to fucking Tulum or Thailand or some shit, and here you are in fucking Iraq. Let's go, baby. Content. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. But maybe they don't see it the same way. We're just here because of Gary Vee. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Are you posting. You need to be posting content. You want to go to Tulum? Iraq. You go to Iraq. You got to put yourself in the deep end, man. You got to think outside the box, man. Do something that someone else isn't doing. Oh, my God. He's right there. But you're. So, you didn't pay for a damn thing. How long were you there? We were, like, seven days. Seven days in Baghdad. And I would say that the same level of hospitality I received in Iraq, I can say the same thing about Pakistan as well. What's Baghdad like? Because that was a few years ago now. But what was it like at this point? Much more modern and progressive than I was led to believe. Like, it's not like crazy fucking Sharia law. Like, I saw women just dressed, like, without. Just out and about, you know? Like, everyone thinks it's just like, oh, you've got to be completely covered. And whatnot. And then, dude, people were like, we didn't actually go out. People were like, yeah, you can go out. You can party here. You can go to nightclubs here. Nightclubs? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Very cool. The infrastructure was nice. Like, I mean, there's still some remnants of war, for sure. But for the most part, the buildings were nice. Like, dude, it was modern and progressive and nice. That's awesome to hear. Just like, I mean, holy shit, being put through the ringer there for so long. For so long. And it's crazy because, dude, we were both so nervous. And then by the, like, first day we went out and we're like, holy shit, this place is chill. Right. Like, this is. Everyone's such a chiller. Like, everyone wanted to stop and talk to us. Many people speak good English. It was just like, we were making friends every fucking five seconds. We got invited to so many people's houses for dinner and whatnot. It was awesome. It's like, dude, it's one of those countries where it's just like you think it's going to be a hard experience as a tourist. And then it just becomes so easy because it's just like everyone just, like, reaches out to you. And just like, hey, yo, you should come to my house. It's just like, we don't get tourists here too much. Yeah, you said something brilliant a few minutes ago that my friend Eric Zuliger said on this show a lot of times. And I quote it all the time where you're like, people are not their governments. Yeah. And you have just lived that in so many places. And it's so great to hear that, like, you could have so many great back and forth even in a place like that that's. I mean, shit, they're still fresh off ISIS. Yeah. Yeah. That stuff, you know? Like, that's wild to me. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I mean, that was the point of going to, like, Southern Lebanon. It was just like, dude, I think these people have been demonized so much because of the local government there. Yeah. But that's not them. They're so nice. And, dude, whenever I went there, since they don't have people going there and even covering what they're going through, it was the same thing. It was just like no one wanted us to pay for anything. If you watch that whole video, like, we went out and we got, like, food a bunch there. No one wanted us to pay. Wow. They're just grateful, man. So, dude, it's crazy the places that have been so demonized is where you find the most humanity of families in, like, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon. I want to come to Afghanistan in a second. But in Iraq, when you would have discussions with these people over dinner and stuff like that about what they experienced over, say, the last couple decades when it was war-torn, what, you know, I'm sure there's not unanimous. But in Iraq, when you would have discussions with these people over dinner and stuff like that about what they experienced over dinner and stuff. I just think everyone there is resilient. And with Syria, everyone has been affected by war. But like I was saying with like a lot of these people from these places, it's just like when there's war, they don't shy away. I think one of the most impactful stories, my friend Ali said he appeared in, I think, a couple of Conor's videos, maybe one of mine, is that a common thing to see there is like, say, if like, I think he remembers experiencing only a block away from him, like, it was like a shopping mall getting like suicide bombers. Yeah. Some shit like that. I don't know exactly the extent of it. And after all the dust settled, it wasn't people running away. It was people running towards it. Whoa. Yeah. To like to get people out of the rubble. Yeah. So I think, you know, people would rather stay and fight and save their own people and rather than shy away and leave their homeland. That's amazing. So fucking cool. I think it is. It's quite a different perspective than, than us. I mean, it's a big theme. Like us, our privileged asses on a fucking podcast and people living through, through war. Have you felt yourself really change? Yeah. as a person over the years doing this and experiencing all these places yes and no i mean it's it's it's hard to say i think i'm i don't want to like i i don't think i'm changed in this like bullshit like eat pray love type way i i can't stand that shit like i'm not like much of a crazy spiritual person and before this i wasn't i didn't i wasn't bigoted or anything but i do do think it just confirmed just like you know people are people i think everyone's a product of their own environment um and i think people you just need to give people a chance you know to get to know people rather just like forming your internet from a fucking pixels on or forming your opinion from a pixels on a screen is absolutely crazy with the amount of misinformation and propaganda in the world like fucking have some balls and go out and experience a place fuck yeah dude i love that thank you i gotta piss again go piss but we'll be right back yeah all right we're back how long after the pullout from afghanistan was it until you went there uh pullout was 2021 and i went there uh kind of summertime of 2024 okay so a few years and i do think there was like um i think it's got actually quite popular amongst uh travel thrill seekers for content creators for sure and i'm not saying oh i was like i'm not saying i'm not saying i'm not saying i got in there i was like the the first one but i do think i was early to to go and just check it out who did did you you obviously got someone on the ground so how'd you find someone and know they were reliable and you were going to be all right i had a fixer in peshawar i don't even know how i got this guy's instagram but he was like a journalist like a war journalist in afghanistan like he was from pakistan but did war journalism in afghanistan during the war and then he was connected to her to her company and they got me a fixer to be fair it was a couple youtubers went before me it was like my homie harry kieran eli if i forget the last one i'm sorry um and i i got i asked they said they had a good i don't even want to talk yeah i don't want to talk about my guide he was like he was a good guide in the sense that he let me do my own thing was he the most educated and like like upbeat no he's very very shy but i think he was a good guide in the sense that he was very very shy but i think i used that to my advantage where i'm just like all right you're here if i'm overstepping please tell me i'm gonna do my own thing and i would appreciate if you could translate when i need you to and do you ever get worried someone's translating wrong now i mean now that you say it like yeah it's funny i think we'll chop your head off he says he loves you yeah you know what's funny is now that you bring it up not to always keep bringing it back to israel is someone like commented you know like okay if if anything okay i i don't think it was a propaganda tour but there was like a point where we were bartering over like something i was buying and someone was like they caught in the video my homie speaking hebrew and he's like yo like do a little barter with me like like like basically trying to like be performative like telling him to be performative besides that i don't think it was like a set up propaganda to her but i think there was a little cohesion where like oh we're doing a little barter he's like yo let's let's be performative for the camera so it's like now that i think back to him like holy they could have been saying anything in hebrew that whole time it's just like imagine he wasn't i would have ended up paying for all that right i'm not gonna i'm not gonna i'm not gonna get in but who who knows what it's gotta be a concern everywhere yeah bro now that you're saying that i'm i'm kind of tuning in like and i've i've had moments where people have been like uh you didn't translate that properly but i'm just like oh well what they said was good yeah that's the one thing you do have it on video so later like when you put it out to the interwebs people can be like someone can be like wait a minute that's not what was said there that helps yeah but i try not to like dude if someone's like just yapping in a local language i'd probably cut that part out like i put a couple words and then go to the translator you know all these raw footage exists but it's just like that's a lot to try to make sure everything was accurate for sure definitely some things could get lost in translation you're right but in in actuality yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah Afghanistan obviously like enormous fuck-ups on the United States end and and us for years like clearly not having at some point not having a plan as to how that was going to go so it ends up in a full circle moment in all the wrong ways we leave now people are living under Taliban rule there there's obviously a subset of population that fully supports that and that subset that doesn't I would imagine at some point you talk to both or uh I talk to a wide variety of people I you know what I wish I wish I did in Afghanistan that what I did in my trip to Palestine where it's like more of like a one and done but at the same time like I said I was with this guy that he was kind of sheepish like I wanted to go up and meet Taliban dudes yeah we probably shouldn't like like there was this one time like they were on a swamp you know that I don't know if you've seen that place in Afghanistan it's this beautiful blue lake it looks like it's somewhere in Greece and they ride the swans around in them and dude it was it was they're riding swans in the in the lake yeah yeah it's a some big ass swans yeah no no like the like like like like like paddle boats but they're like like little like like ducky boats it's so funny yeah so this play uh what's it called bandamere so dude this is like the funniest shit ever so you have these totally gone with that you should have let that yeah bro bro dude dude I told you I'm a little slow because of the allergy shots today so imagine this is like a bunch of like ducky boats in that in that lake and the people on it are fucking Taliban numbers with AK-47 bro I started filming this video I'm like dude look at the Taliban like on their swans with the AK-47s and someone like commented like I had a couple comments just like brother I literally thought this was AI like that like I can't believe this is a real thing like I can't believe this is a real thing like I can't believe this is a real thing like I can't believe this is a real thing like I can't believe this is a real uh setting uh yeah just go a real uh setting uh yeah just go a real uh setting uh yeah just go type in seal onto afghanistan and I think I type in seal onto afghanistan and I think I type in seal onto afghanistan and I think I literally titled it like literally titled it like literally titled it like the Taliban love ducky boats or something the Taliban the most beautiful countries in the world but I've heard that yeah but the world but I've heard that yeah but the world but I've heard that yeah but that place would have been a world that place would almost like the Grand Canyon it's crazy but obviously what people know crazy but obviously what people know crazy but obviously what people know from there is just war well it's also from there is just war well it's also crazy that there's so many places in the crazy that there's so many places in the crazy that there's so many places in the world that are aesthetically beautiful world that are aesthetically beautiful world that are aesthetically beautiful but it's just the inhabitants of but it's just the inhabitants of but it's just the inhabitants of the governments that run them or you that ruin it for everyone right charge that ruin it for everyone right charge that ruin it for everyone right you know what's crazy is like if you you know what's crazy is like if you you know what's crazy is like if you ask me like where would you feel more ask me like where would you feel more ask me like where would you feel more safe like on a trip in afghanistan and safe like on a trip in afghanistan and safe like on a trip in afghanistan and or like rio de janeiro i'd probably say or like rio de janeiro i'd probably say or like rio de janeiro i'd probably say like afghanistan i could see that like afghanistan i could see that like afghanistan i could see that i've heard bad things about some of those i've heard bad things about some of those i've heard bad things about some of those neighborhoods obviously neighborhoods obviously neighborhoods obviously like the the risk of going to like the the risk of going to like the the risk of going to afghanistan is like is things like afghanistan is like is things like afghanistan is like is things like quote-unquote terrorism and war and quote-unquote terrorism and war and quote-unquote terrorism and war and which sounds like a lot more um worse which sounds like a lot more um worse which sounds like a lot more um worse than like petty crime that you find in than like petty crime that you find in than like petty crime that you find in rio but rio but rio but that's like on full display like i got i that's like on full display like i got i that's like on full display like i got i was there in rio during carnival and i was there in rio during carnival and i was there in rio during carnival and i got robbed and that was my time you got got robbed and that was my time you got got robbed and that was my time you got robbed i got robbed within my robbed i got robbed within my robbed i got robbed within my third day what happened like pickpocketed third day what happened like pickpocketed or like stood up uh kind of both um or like stood up uh kind of both um or like stood up uh kind of both um it was like after like a carnival it was like after like a carnival it was like after like a carnival celebration i was kind of up and celebration i was kind of up and celebration i was kind of up and then i ordered an uber and it was just then i ordered an uber and it was just then i ordered an uber and it was just down the street i'm like and i was down the street i'm like and i was down the street i'm like and i was fully aware i'm like okay like i have fully aware i'm like okay like i have fully aware i'm like okay like i have to have my guard up and whatever so i'm to have my guard up and whatever so i'm to have my guard up and whatever so i'm walking through this like plaza thing walking through this like plaza thing walking through this like plaza thing i'm like okay my uber is just gonna be i'm like okay my uber is just gonna be i'm like okay my uber is just gonna be just down there like this is chill just down there like this is chill just down there like this is chill and um i start to notice around me i'm and um i start to notice around me i'm and um i start to notice around me i'm just like just like just like damn all these people are riffraff damn all these people are riffraff damn all these people are riffraff and i notice a gang of them kind of set and i notice a gang of them kind of set and i notice a gang of them kind of set their eyes on me so i started to veer their eyes on me so i started to veer off veer off and before i know it they off veer off and before i know it they off veer off and before i know it they ran up behind me and i have a satchel on ran up behind me and i have a satchel on ran up behind me and i have a satchel on and they grab it from the back they and they grab it from the back they and they grab it from the back they didn't even unclip it they tore that didn't even unclip it they tore that didn't even unclip it they tore that right off me and i just it just right off me and i just it just right off me and i just it just tore off my back like i was a tree and tore off my back like i was a tree and tore off my back like i was a tree and they're just ripping a rope off it and they're just ripping a rope off it and they're just ripping a rope off it and then like i turn around they have my then like i turn around they have my then like i turn around they have my satchel and like it was like there was satchel and like it was like there was satchel and like it was like there was like a bunch of them and i was just like like a bunch of them and i was just like like a bunch of them and i was just like i kind of got the it's just like all right you guys got what you wanted i'm just gonna fuck off and they left you alone they just left me alone after that and then i i had to go be a snitch i talked to the police dude the police actually thought it was funny like like i i uh i was like talking to them it was like i it was more like i can't really speak that well portuguese but i speak some spanish so it was like portuguese spanish portuguese spanish kind of both but they understood what i was saying and it got to the point where it's just like they're they're translating some shit just just like okay well maybe you can go into the police station the next morning and like maybe they'll have your shit and i just said something just like what do you mean like you're the fucking cops like go fucking get them or some shit it's like i forget exactly how the conversation went but they thought it was pretty funny that i eventually showed them on translator i'm like you're the police like do your fucking job you and then there's like you know what fuck it like let's go oh they went in no no they didn't they dude i they they shook down some other fucking riffraff kid those kids were long gone by then and no yeah i didn't get my shit back which is unfortunate that they shook down no unfortunately not and they did it wouldn't have been worth anything because like i lost my camera which had a full two days of footage from the favelas you know that's also a crazy thing i know we're on a tangent here but it's just like i like tangents keep going brother like you dude being in the favelas felt more safe for tourists than uh being uh like in the streets during carnival like on copacabana or some shit well like let me let me specify being in certain favelas because there's two that are like kind of like gringo pilled there's like can you tell people out there who don't know what a favela is what you're referring to it's essentially an informal settlement that the police don't go to be to because it's basically ran by fucking drug lords and like anything goes in them but that's the thing is since they're not ran by the police like these drug lords run them it's just like okay you do petty crime in the street you know you the cops will be like oh whatever it's petty crime you do petty crime in the favela like that's a good way to fucking get killed you know hank joined bj's wholesale club the day he became a father of 30 i coach football now coach hank saves up to 25 off grocery store prices 30 pounds of pasta three cases of protein bars 75 sports drinks and that's just pre-game he knows teamwork and bj's knows savings this is your home coach home of the save join for just 20 at bj's.com slash mesquite and save 10 cents per gallon for six months open soon limited time offer new members only bj's home of the save so in a sense there is it's a very dangerous place to be because you know there's always going to be there could be shootouts it could be like hardcore violent shootings people get caught up in like some raid or some shit but at the same time a lot of the time like whenever it's like these drug lords who control the place it's just like people kind of like act civil there's not much petty crime and shit and a lot of these places funny enough are being stimulated by tourism like in vigigal is considered almost like this luxury favela because it has this amazing view of the beach and all of rio and so people have started to um set up hostels and shit there i remember like seeing a instagram or some uh tiktok of some girl being like i reserved this hostel i didn't realize it was in a fucking favela and i feel very unsafe but from what i gathered about the favelas especially to vigigal and um racina is since they do have tourism infrastructure people go there they might stay there in a hostel or they might take a tour essentially as a gringo like you're off limits like no way you're going to be no one's going to fuck with you because if you fuck with the gringo population who's bringing economy into your favela like that's a good way to get like fucking disappeared by someone so like there's actually a fair economy right now between those two favelas with tourism and that's why i say you're probably more safe in one of these favelas than being on the streets certain times certain places because i got robbed in a tourist area granted it was like maybe like 2 a.m or some shit and i was just like down a like a riffraff street but still it was like a tourist area in like downtown rio de janeiro versus i spent two days in the favelas with i don't know a guy who like he he didn't seem like the you see he was a pretty sketchy kid to be honest and he was he knew all these guys who went around and oh dude people open carry there like the people who run the shit they open fucking carry there so imagine that this is like the type of type of shit like no mother wants to hear about their child going on a fucking yeah what's the difference between the two favelas and the what do your parents think all the shit you do no they've been so supportive they're they're dope and they know i'm not a fucking idiot that's the thing bro it's like i uh i i'd say now after living and i'm pretty good at risk assessment um i always give like the analogy it's just like i have a lot of people from my hometown being like dude what you do is crazy and like uh you you definitely could you're risking your life it's just like i don't even see it that way sometimes the behavior people get up to in my small town i consider risk assessment is just like i don't even see it that you know you take drugs that haven't been tested you drink and drive you do all that shit that sounds a lot more um risky to me than going on like a guided tour of fucking afghanistan or some shit like that so it's different perceptions of risk i'd say and so but this is the one of those moments just like dude no parents want to hear about like their kid who like went to fucking rio and now they're like with some guy who like probably does bad illicit activities in the slums and like he was bringing me around and like dude i was shaking hands with the dudes with the ar-15s and they're there in like a populated street like where people are partying in the street just chilling there open carrying massive fucking guns just probably smoking a joint or drinking and then dude also in these favelas there's these tables where you can like get any drug under the sun and like there might be like a 15 year old working them anything fucking goes you have to hide any of that activity so it's the absolute wild wild west but at the same time like if if you go there as a tourist you're kind of protected which is it's weird to be like dude these are these fucking drug lords with ar-15s and i'm their businessman and i'm safer here than a place where the police actually fucking frequent who don't usually don't do shit i was lucky enough that they actually did shit but dude 95 percent of the time they don't do shit they don't do shit like you get robbed and it's like yeah you're tough shit it's fucking real they're like that here sometimes oh yeah yeah exactly well welcome to hoboken yeah yeah i've been we got robbed in jersey city one time and went to the cop station it was a lot of fucking it was like yeah twelve fifteen thousand dollars worth of stuff bunch of hard drives like cameras all that and they're like yeah best of luck to you yeah man like fuck perception of risk is weird it's not always what you would think you know and that's why i always use the analogy of like okay i might be doing crazy shit in the world but it's just like dude you can live a pretty fucking risky life in a safe country like canada the u.s if you have really bad habits you know outside of that moment though where you're getting robbed and then are able to get away from it did you have any specific moments where the hairs on the back of your neck were standing up and you're like oh my god i'm in danger and what were those moments i think the scariest um moment of my travels and i'm really glad it happened to me was in columbia where i had a gun pulled on me for being in the wrong place in the wrong time and dude like the reason i say i'm really glad it happened to me because like i think i got it i was under the impression from you know like traveling around enough and nothing happened to me to be like oh like the world's not as sinister as i believe i know i'm like oh dude like i've traveled to afghanistan it was safe but at the same time you still need to take some fucking precautions that's right especially in south america and shit so it's just like i was like on i i was in medellin and i just kept going to like different barrios taking the gondola up and just like exploring these barrios i think i did like a couple days where i just went fine and then i just went to the wrong place where essentially like similar to the the essentially the mob right and it wasn't necessarily me the problem was the filming is that i was there filming and i got surrounded by a bunch of dudes like and they grabbed me by the shirt and made me delete all my shit and i thought i was good i'm like all right i'm just gonna get the fuck out of here and then i was on my way out and some kid he was probably like 18 years old he like he starts walking with me he shows me he has a badge of some short and then shows me his gun and he's just like let's go this way and i'm like okay i guess we're going this way and he and we're in like a favela like a slummy looking area he brings me down this path where it's like a bunch of shacks on one side and a ravine on the other side it's me him and his two like young friends i assume they're all like 18 and he's asking me for id and shit and dude i didn't bring anything with me i'm just like uh just in case something goes south like you know i'll just bring my camera i won't bring like my wallet or my deal bring just a little bit of cash in my satchel and sit and the reason he's asking is he's just like wanted to know who i am just like so i'm not a fucking off people told me from this experience if i was colombian they could have capped me this is like it's better than i was canadian just like i was just basically saying like dude i'm just a stupid fucking tourist at this point like right it seems like that's been to your advantage in a lot of different places of course dude my white privilege like no no i i didn't even mean it that way but sure yeah but like the fact that like you're pointing out in brazil they don't give a fuck about the people that live in their neighborhood they'll police them however they need to and if that's by the gun it's by the gun but you're bad press yeah if they police you yeah same thing in palestine bro i had more fucking rights than a palestinian in palestine being canadian but anyways yeah so they just were kind of like asking who i am and like he was getting frustrated because like i had no idea i was just i can't remember saying my spanish isn't great so i'm like uh solo quiero salir like i just want to leave you know and then i think he just got to the point where he was frustrated he didn't put take out the gun and put it to my head he's just like he just got out the gun and he was just whipping it around all frustrated and shit he took my satchel off me and went through it and shit and eventually he just let me go and dude i honestly left that place like a bitch like i just fucking dipped like scared shitless i thought he took my camera actually so like i went i walked an hour to the train station he walked an hour yeah like down the down down the slum down the favela because they're all built into hills basically and then i look in my bag and i'm like holy shit my camera's still in there i thought they they took it so it was clear dude these dudes weren't trying to rob me like they were just trying to look out for the sanctity of their operation and that's why this young kid was given a position of power and a badge that says he's some kind of security that he looks out for this neighborhood and he just watches over it and if there's anyone who's just seems like a threat especially a gringo with a fucking camera filming what could be these houses where operations going on filming something like that and he's like i don't know what's going on i don't know what's going on filming people who are doing illicit activities and whatnot obviously he has to you know go address this right and he's a young kid in a position of power he gets a fucking gun i gotta point this gun at a gringo this is the best day of my life um and i'm like i said dude i'm really glad that happened to me because like i realize i'm like dude you can't just go around the world and just like not take precautions like i want to do shit like i want to go places like war zones like how do you take precautions when you're going over it it's always the connection it's always the connections you need a good connect so for me it's just like just don't go alone somewhere go with someone you can trust and you can know how do you know you can especially when you're just meeting someone on the internet like how do you know i mean when i went to the south lebanon that connect was through arab arabs the homie i trust arab so much anyone arab hooks me up with all i'll trust and sometimes you know like i i did i haven't trust people sometimes it's like you know maybe you you make a connection and then you just abandon it you know i don't actually don't know if that's happened maybe it's just like oh we had plans for a couple days and i kind of like was after yeah you're just not feeling it or something but yeah like sometimes or sometimes you know you go and you meet for coffee the day before or something like that it's always facilitated through through instagram or something like that but i think that columbia experience is just like dude you can go do crazy shit in the world but under the right circumstances you can't go in to shit blind because right yeah so glad glad it happened to me but definitely the most scary experience of my life it wasn't scarier than the cannibals uh oh the cannibals in uh that island in pop in west papua yeah um no because i knew they wouldn't eat me how did you know the cannibals weren't going to eat you because the cannibals eat people they go to tribal warfare with and almost like a ritualistic we defeated you purpose like they eat their heart and some shit like that i look i don't know the intricacies of it but that's just the way we were talking to them it sounds like this they have enough food that they're they're good and also cannibalism had been outlawed there for 60 years but we found someone old enough who had experienced cannibalism before the missionaries showed up and outlawed it how did you hear about these people um my friend had spent a lot of time in in west papua that's a crazy thing about indonesia is like dude people don't even realize like this is part of indonesia indonesia is such a diverse country there's the analogy i will say is that like okay indonesia it's very wide and vast and you have all these islands and the very um north uh west of indonesia is a place called ache and they are under sharia law and then to the very east of indonesia is west papua where they literally are tribal people who will walk through the town bare naked so what a dichotomy yeah what a dichotomy man talk about diversity yeah yeah so my friend dakota has spent some time there and amongst the tribal people and uh i guess convinced me and my homie jacob to come and i guess our goal there was to find a cannibal someone who ate a human the first day we spent in our guides village was to be fair it was kind of more of a touristic experience like you know they they do put on the stuff and they do the song and dance but that was awesome you know like they're they're not always wearing the traditional stuff every day of their life but when you get deep into the communities that's when they're not doing like the song and dance for communities like or they're not doing the song and dance for the tourists they legitimately wear the traditional kotika which is this thing that goes over your penis that it's like a big rod and that's all they wear and like i was saying you'll you'll see people walk through the town completely naked besides a kotika like this so i mean they gotta keep that fucking thing up yeah yeah exactly they they say it just stays hardwood the whole time yeah you can see yeah you can see them yeah this is what a kotika is on screen oh can you not okay that sucks maybe you can just show a kotika on its own i think damn that sucks you can't show it maybe with some censoring or something but god that takes serious discipline just fucking rolling around bro so we we when we were with the first village right i said the one with the eye right there you know that's gonna that's what down with the with the yeah when we know that's gonna show you what you need no they're completely naked they don't have kotikas on never mind wait but did you wait scroll do you want me to point out where they're actually wearing the kotikas scroll up uh see those people there in that one yeah click on that you if you zoom in you can see they all have kotikas on see see over their cocks how it's like a piece of wood coming up from their cocks are they oh yeah so it's tied up as well it's tied up yeah yeah all right so they could be soft yeah yeah no you don't need to be chubbed up it just keeps it in a chubbed up position got it yeah yeah yeah exactly god you make one wrong cut though it could like that's and that's all they wear and in the more tourist villages or like in the more tourist place that we went they actually like we we purchased some of them and we put them on and how was that cheap like he was straight up helping us put it on it's not like taboo there it's just like yeah we're just gonna assist you putting it on and take a little cup of the balls on the way oh more than just the balls like he was oh he put a finger up he was stuffing though he was stuffing the whole thing in there man there you go um and yeah and then i went out and all the women approved and yeah we just danced around what do you mean all the women approved i just went out and all the women were like oh wait go back go back go back one picture this is a this is a mummy so it's a mummy that's a mummy so they'll mummify their ancestors i think i saw this exact mummy so if you had like a a legendary chief or something they will when he dies they'll take bring him in a in a cave and they'll cover him in pig's fat and put him over a fire to essentially for five months i think it is five months five months or something until he's completely mummified like that and you know what dude like i was saying the kotika is sacred so some of them have kotikas that are in different shapes and whatnot i think for just a a general person it's just a straight one but some of them are are different like bends and whatnot so a lot of these chiefs they're very proud of their stance and the village their position they have these interesting kotikas they get mummified with their kotikas on so like you'll find a mummy like this and you'll still see he's got the dong holder on and you just yeah he looks like a like a fucking saggy skeleton outside a halloween yeah exactly it's it's it's fucking surreal and you in these villages you'll find these all the time and they preserve them very well like in these huts like some of them don't even let them get into light there's this one crazy one i don't know how we made this connect but this felt like the most like raw travel shit and it was just like we just we heard from our guide if you go to this house this one guy will bring you through the jungle then he'll call out to the village across the river to come pick you up in a canoe he picked up us in a canoe bare naked brought us into his village brought us into a fucking hut to see his mummified great great great great great great grandfather it was it felt surreal chilling in the hut yeah yeah just just chilling in the hut so and you just get in there and you just sit down you just chill with the crispy grandpa and you just kind of chill dude and that's that's life there um what am i looking at here didn't uh just some men so essentially in wait what was she holding up there - A lot, yeah. I saw that a little too fast. There was about 60 years ago, missionaries came to this land. Before that, there was a lot of naughty behavior. Maybe you wouldn't even call it naughty because it was normal for them. You said that, though. You were starting to explain that. So prior to that, they used to have tribal warfare, and when they would win, they would do – didn't, like, the Aztecs do that, too, where they'd, like, eat the heart? I might have just – sorry, Aztecs. I might have made that up. It wasn't even their enemy. I think they would have a sacrifice, you know? Will got in a bunch of shit for this on the internet. Yeah, I know people get upset about that one. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, no, I think you do have a fair point. I think it's pretty documented that they would sacrifice not even their enemy, just, like, young children and eat their heart and some shit. So you met a guy, though, that had lived through that and had eaten another human heart? Yeah, and he said his ghost was, like, haunting him, basically. Oh. And we asked him, like, about everything, about, like, you know, like, how they prepared it, how it was eaten. He said it tasted good. He said the human heart tasted good. Yeah, and just the flesh in general. He didn't have the language. We didn't have, yeah, the language skills to go into it. Oh, was it gamey? Was it like this, that? Was it similar to anything? But, yeah, he said it tasted good. How close were you sitting to this guy? Well, he was very old, so if you tried to make a fucking move on me, I'd slug that mother – All right, that's good. Yeah. No, no, no, no. He was like – Dude, he was, like, fucking in his 80s. Like, he was old, and he was – But you weren't, like – He was about – he was a man of high power. He might become one of those crispy – Right. Yeah. Sounds like a little bit like Hunter Biden talking about crack, though. Like, he's getting a little excited. Oh, he was getting so excited, bro. It was funny because, like, okay, so what happened is, you know, we got done at the touristy village, and we made our way deeper into West Papua, and, dude, none of the roads even – fucking work because they don't even get fucking funding from the Indonesian government because they want independence and shit. So we're basically, like, walking along roads until we get this tiny little village. And one of the guys hosting us, I think he was the school teacher, and he was very excited that foreigners were there. His name was Lawrence. Bless his soul. He's such a nice guy. And he's just like, hey, do you want me to show you around? We're like, sure, why not? And he brings us to his grandpa's house, and his grandpa comes out of the hut, and this is – This isn't performative or anything. This is just natural. He comes out of the hut butt-ass naked besides the kotika on. And so we go, and he was excited that, like, oh, foreigners here. We can talk to them. He was excited to sit down and talk with us. And we thought we had to tread lightly. So what Dakota said was, like, is it true the Yali tribe eat people? And the Yali tribe is, like, they're ops, basically. So it wasn't, like – he didn't want to be, like, is it true you eat people? He wanted to tread lightly and be, like, oh, is it true those – savage motherfuckers out there eat people, you know? And then we kind of get into, what about here? And he's like, yeah, we do that too. Well, we did do that too. And so it's like, have you ate a person? He's like, yeah. And he was getting, like, after – once we started getting – he was getting real into it. Like, he was stoked. Like, we thought we were, like, oh, maybe he's going to be offended if we ask him this. Bro, he doesn't even know what America is. This dude does not – this dude does not have a phone. This is the one life he lived. Like, he was so stoked to talk about the good old days with us. He was getting fired up. Is he cursing out the missionaries? Katika's raising up. Yeah. I don't know if people heard that. What was that? Defko's is Katika's raising up. Nature's Viagra. Reminiscent on cannibalism. No, but it's true. He's, like, he gets, like – probably not much exciting stuff happens in these villages on a day-to-day basis. So when you get to talk about, like, the most fucking intense time in your life when you're, like, a young 20-year-old going to battle and killing someone and then eating – So how did that work? Did he, like, drag the body off the battlefield and, like, roast it or did he just fucking go ham right there? Apparently – apparently, yeah. They bring it back and they pig roast it. And then, like, the villagers, like, whenever, like, a piece gets kind of ready, they'll just go up and, like, pick off the ready piece. And, like, it's like a shawarma. You know those shawarma skewers? It's just, like, when you take the layers off, like, some get more cooked. So, like, as, like, the outer layers – The outer layers getting cooked. Like, okay, this piece is ready. Take it off. And then it – this is what I gather from a conversation with them. And, dude, the crazy thing is as much as this shit has been outlawed – Oh, it's outlawed there? Outlawed. West Papua and Papua New Guinea, I mean, to specify on the geography, West Papua is a state of Indonesia. The island of Papua is divided into two. West Papua, state of Indonesia. And to the – East of that is Papua New Guinea. Right, right. It's its own country. But they share a lot of similarities as far as, like, tribal culture. From what I heard, like, I mean, we had to fly into this village that you could only access by plane called Wamena. So it was very remote. But then people are way out there in, like, the highlands of West Papua. They could be living, doing whatever they want. They say the tribal warfare is outlawed, and we met people who said only two years ago. They went to war with another tribe. And they'll go to war with another tribe literally just on the block of the town, you know. You can find this on the internet from Papua New Guinea. People going to travel over there with spears and bow and arrows and shit. And it's literally just on the street. And I think I – And there's dudes just taking pictures of it? Yeah, I remember, like – Imagine walking up on that. I think it was, like, an Australian – I think I heard – I don't know how I heard this story. It was, like, something about an Australian expat who lived in Papua New Guinea. And he drove by these – He drove by these dudes, and they're clearly, like, going to war. And he's like, what's going on? And he's just like, oh, we're just fighting these guys over here. And obviously, like, since they're fighting the other tribe, they have nothing against this Australian. They actually really love foreigners there. They're just like, yeah, we're just fighting these guys over there. Just stay over there. It's like watching a moose fight, but it's humans. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly. So, yeah, dude, it's crazy because you can still find tribal warfare going on. Is this footage of it, D? I don't know if it's footage, but three years ago. Okay, don't put it on the screen, but let's see if we can see it on our end. Over here. Well, just take the volume off. Let's see if we can find the footage. Duh. Is there – can we see any footage? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Holy shit. Look how big that – We definitely can't show this on screen. All right, go back to that. Now just play it without the volume. No fucking way. Yo, they got, like, fans, like, watching up there. Dude, and that's like – yeah, dude, you can just go and spectate. And they're literally, like – This is like getting to New York. There's hundreds of them going to war. And they're about to fight on the street. Bro, what the fuck? Their battleground is literally, like, the paved street. So I guess they're trying to outlaw it, but, like, bro, they're so down with the shits. So, yeah, I want to – do you think I'd get canceled if I went there and just watched some of that? No. No, it's like watching history. It's right in front of you. What if I participated in cannibalism? Well, you'd get canceled for that. Yeah. Wait. But that's a fine reason to get – Hold on, hold on. I will own that if people want to – There's a – yeah. No, not the Armie Hammer thing. That was weird. But there's another dude. God, why am I forgetting who this was? Some guy went and visited, like, an active cannibal tribe, and they made him eat something. Who the – it was a real – Yeah, that's what he fucking says, man. No, no, no. It's on video. Yeah, but maybe he had, like – yeah, maybe he had, like – He's throwing up. He really wanted to do it. He's like, they're forcing me to – they're going to kill me if they – No, I've seen the footage. I'm just going to say it. If I had – that's what I would say if I wanted to do it and be like, oh, I'm going to be dinner night. Okay, okay, okay. That's not it. There's – was it the other guy? Oh, I think it's Piers Gibbon. I want to say it's him. We definitely can't play the footage. He is shook, dude, like having a catatonic fucking, like – Is he a journalist? Yes. I'm remembering this from somewhere in the annals of my mind where I've seen this footage. But he's sitting around a campfire outside. It's daylight and the dude is like handing it to him hard and he has – I feel like I'm remembering that right. And he is fucking shook. That's some of the craziest footage ever. No, that's not it. That's not the guy. Am I fucked up? That's not the guy. I'm kind of like upset. It's new footage. It's H fucking D. Am I fucked up to be like, I'm kind of interested in cannibalism? Like interested in watching them do it? Just in everything, every aspect of it. It's just – It's extremely fascinating that a human being would eat another human being. Right. You want to hear the – Dude, I'm so dyslexic, right? I saw a post on Facebook the other day and it was something like – Top one, the CNN one right there. That's the one we definitely can't play. No, no, no. Go back. That was the wrong one. The CNN one. We definitely can't play it. No, those are Aghoris, bro. I was going to get into the Aghoris stuff because I've met these motherfuckers too. This dude was shook. It's Reza Aslan. Dude, yeah, he – But that's the thing. These guys aren't hostile. They're not going to force you to eat it or else they'll kill you. Yeah, I don't think – No disrespect to Reza. I don't think he's like that. And I think he was just – I want to – No, I want to meet real Aghoris who actually participate in cannibalism. Because I have met Aghoris but they're posers. Like there's – I have a clip that goes insanely viral every time I post it and it's like one of these guys and he's saying like, oh, we eat humans. like, and all this crazy shit, but like, I think they were more so posers like they've never actually done it they were just kind of like the camera was rolling and they were kind of just saying their piece and being like hopefully this tourist gives us money but real agoris don't give a fuck about money they just they're just in it for the love of the game yeah you know so i would love to meet some real agoris who actually fuck with cannibal this guy was saying to him he's like i'll cut your head off and fucking feed it to you though all right i'd be like let's let's fucking box bro let's throw down right now and they had to get there i'm trying i haven't seen this video in a long time i'm trying to remember where it went and if they made him eat but he was shook he's fucking shook meeting them for sure and people obviously we couldn't show that on the screen for obvious reasons but yeah i agree it is extremely fascinating it's just like the it might be like the darkest possible thing like yeah definitely killing and eating your own kind the thing about the agoris is they don't kill them is they they um the people get creepy cremated on the gods of uh the the ganges uh people go to the city of veronasi and they believe if they're cremated or if they die in the city of veronasi and they get cremated on the gods that is like the final not resurrection to heaven i don't know if i'm quoting this hindu belief accurately but it's like that stops the cycle of reincarnation then they reach nirvana right if you don't die in veronasi and you don't get cremated then you get uh reincarnated into who knows what right but if you go to veronasi and you die you get um this stops that cycle but if there's a lot of different types of people if they die they're not allowed to be cremated that's things like children someone who has leprosy or some other sickness really specific ones like if you got bitten by a snake they don't let you cremate leprosy yeah if you died with leprosy you can't cremate uh if you got bitten by a snake you can't cremate if you are pregnant you can't cremate so a lot of these bodies that just get put into the ganges and that's when these agoris take the bodies out of the ganges and they eat them essentially this is just what i heard but it's pretty proven but like those agoris would tell you that the same shit they're very intense they're they're very they dedicate their lives to i guess religion but just a very extreme form of it where they cover themselves in human ashes um they eat human bodies and yeah well again you you talk about environment that's what they know oh yeah that's that's the dark part of it it's it like i i don't want to make the wrong kind of comparison here but there's something even way darker to me about say like you know a serial killer and who grew up in america becoming a cannibal or something like that because it's like well you you you know way better when you see like a remote tribe doing it it's obviously fucked up but you're like damn this is like a part of their ancient tradition that's beat into them from the time they're born yeah like that's strange so i i would be very interested to do what that can or that journalist did was actually like hang around the cannibals and see their right traditions and just document it versus it's problematic when you're around people who go to tribal warfare and like that involves killing and whatnot which that's bad but i think it's a good thing that they're doing it right and i think it's a good thing that they're doing it right and i think it's a good thing that they're doing it right and i think it's a good thing that they're doing it right and i think it's a good thing right and i think it's a good thing that they're doing it right and i think it's a good thing that bad yeah that's pretty bad but you know like if you just have crazy people who are fishing dead bodies out of the river and they're gonna do it anyways and it's like okay i might be interested in in filming this hopefully it would hopefully it gets me canceled that'd be funny yeah hopefully they can go that's your line hopefully i can go on pierce morgan again yeah what were you on for last time uh because i'm i'm a tally bro because oh he brought you on for that and shit dude it i he was giving me shit for essentially just going to afghanistan as a tourist and i don't think he liked that dude i was one of the only tourists who went there and actually like talked about the gender apartheid there are so many creators who went there oh it's not that bad women have rights you know it's just like i went there it's like hey maybe it's not as bad as the western media like portrays it as like they're locked up in fucking cages but still like i still think you covered it is very bad and um i would like to commentate on it like i don't like what what's going on here you know what i talked about and dude i that's one of the things i wish i did more of like when you talk about one and done i just kind of wish i went there talked about more because i firmly believe in like that like i did that it's wrong and i didn't like what i saw there man like it was a beautiful country but people i've heard people went there oh it's the best place ever like people are so nice and shit and like i went there like yeah the people were nice but i'm just like dude i did not like what i saw there it was fucking sad to me man i'm afghanistan yeah especially when it comes to like women's rights and the gender apartheid there dude it was just really sad to see did you tell pierce that when you were on uh not really it was like it was more me like trying to come to the defense of i guess harry and arab right i mean arab went there and had conversations that no journalist has ever really had and they're giving them shit the other girl on there her name was yalda she was a journalist i believe for the bbc and she was talking about she went in there and she asked questions and she got chased out by rocks it's like well what's the difference it's like you were literally the only difference between you and him is you have this multi-million dollar media conglomerate on your back well arab just an individual who went in there and you know asked questions and sat and ate food with them right what's the fucking difference you know yeah let people see it and he he came out with footage that no one has ever gotten me and him had very different nuanced takes on the whole thing but you know yeah you should be able to go in and cover and bring it out and let the people see it yeah exactly no i kind of wish like looking back and i think i i was proud of like some of the stuff i did there like the the small blurbs of conversations or like just things in the moment where i said like talked about women's rights but i kind of wish i did it a little bit more but i was also scared as well like i was like i was like dude i was hiding my footage when i was leaving the country just in case you know like oh you you came here and make youtube videos can we see what you you shot we just might make sure it's good and nice and then imagine do you like they saw you like talking shit you never know the fucking taliban government yeah what could happen so i was a little scared but i kind of wish i even said more but i'm i'm glad i am proud of the stuff i said on that matter have you spent some time with like some of the remote tribes and in the amazon yeah i have what's that like uh so i spent time with the warani tribe warani um i'll be honest they they do get a little bit of tourists i mean wouldn't say it's performative but on a daily basis would they go out and hunt monkeys no but they still want to do that to preserve their culture and their tradition so you know we wanted to go and meet up with them and uh essentially see the practice of a monkey hunting with with blow guns they they make they find a vine deep in the amazon that has a poison a tranquilizing poison and they extract the i guess juices from this vine and they put it on the tip of these uh blow darts and then they take cotton to stuff it in there and then they and we use them and we were fucking with them and they got some fucking oomph to them even like me i don't got pipes like these big warani dudes like you know they got that they can really blow on that shit bro so but i was thoroughly surprised how accurate those blow guns were like jungle to jungle you remember the movie jungle no i don't know that one um we we just put an apple up and we were a good like maybe what like 40 meters away from it and like it took me a while to hit it but i eventually hit it so they have accuracy so they can really like get these monkeys in the trees and when they get them the monkeys are like in mars man they're tranquilized so it's it's not like that kills them it's just like they get tranquilized and they they just loosen their grip and they just fall out of the trees and then they kill them yeah then then they kill them yeah yeah basically so we spent three days hunting with the ronnie and it took us to the third day to actually get monkeys but we got three of them because we found like spider monkeys or you remember i don't know the stereotypical monkey for to them it's just food you know um uh that's so close to us in the evolutionary tree man yeah oh i've seen some of those videos and i'm eating monkey it's like but at the same time you know unless you're a vegan like your meat option is something that's went through factory farming where this is the most ethical and sustainable um consumption of meat just hunting sure but like you know maybe hunt something else you know what i mean i mean but they don't see it that way they don't see is like they they see themselves as like a fucking an animal in the jungle like do you think of like when we see a lion grazing on a fucking gazelle we don't we like that lion should have some remorse like what the gazelle is beautiful why don't you go kill something that isn't so beautiful right some shit like that like um no i'm all i'm obviously like the people that i'm that sit at home and be like we should all just go vegan and this doesn't make any sense or absolutely out of their fucking mind that's i'm i'm not against that at all it's just like a monkey is just a little bit dangerously close to a human for me that's just my thought i get it and i guess i never really made that connection i mean here i'm the guy who's saying i'm into fucking cannibalism of course what's that uh the the skin was very rubbery but when you got down to the meat it was like kind of like smoky it was like kind of like smoky and porky and yeah something like that but i did the skin was just so rubbing rubbery and gelatinous i couldn't get over that so i only nibbled on it a little bit but it was interesting yeah that's more now i ate monkey in this another interesting thing they eat in this village is it's more of a beverage it's called chicha and chicha they take um yuca cassava and they uh they first they boil it and then the women uh take it and they chew it up and they spit it out in this big like almost like a hollowed out canoe that it's like because they make it in massive batches this is a job only for the women it's sacred none of the the men go and kill their monkeys the women they chew the yuca and they make chicha the most in the amazon chicha is a very popular drink in the amazon you don't have to make it the traditional way the spit way but the spit way is the most traditional way of making chicha so they they chew it up mix it with saliva they spit it out in the bucket and they start mashing it up and then i think they mix it with water chicha on or sorry yuca on its own it's actually very dangerous to eat if it's not cooked so they let it ferment for about a week and so we did that at the start of the week there and then by the time by the end of our week there we actually got to try the chicha and it since it's like been a week fermenting it's a little boozy so it's spiritual they do a little chicha dance they present you chicha and so you're essentially like drinking like um that it has saliva particles over the lake and it's like it's like it's like a little chicha dance ladies i mean it's been seven days so all the bacteria is probably killed off by now but it's just kind of crazy you know like dude i mean i posted all these clips and people think it's so disgusting of like these ladies like just chewing it up spitting it out and then me like i mean it just cuts to me drinking it obviously there's a whole process in between that the fermentation process and this isn't just like and people are i remember people would come and be like this is just like the the drink they give to the tourists i'm like this is a beverage that is this is something this is a a practice that is thousands and thousands of years old like do you realize how like much experimentation with the jungle you need to go through to actually realize like we take this root we chew it up we make this beverage how much experimentation of like oh if we take this vine it becomes like tranquilizing these you can tranquilize these monkeys like these people have clearly lived there in this jungle for thousands and thousands of years and they're part of the jungle it's so cool that you get to go to all these places and experience some stuff would not be for me other stuff i feel like i'd be there with you that'd be i'd love to bring you somewhere sometime let's do it let's do it i've talked with some of the other guys about it what piques your interest everything bro i mean like you saw we went all over the map today a lot of that does would you be more into something that's natural like the amazon i've been to the amazon okay would you be more something that's like a middle little bit more politically not politically charged but more like uh maybe like a sensitive area like like who knows like afghanistan or pakistan or iraq i probably couldn't go to some of those places because of what you said on this yeah that makes a lot of sense there's there's about five six countries in my mind that i will never set foot in okay for sure brother if you ever have any idea of a place you want to go to just hit me up fuck yeah you can do Summary:
