Canada Steps Up Investment Push as Trade Tensions With Trump Intensify

Prime Minister Karni is launching a major global investment summit in Toronto, uniting over $120 trillion in assets from international institutions to position Canada as a stable, trustworthy, and forward-looking economic hub. This event underscores a new national consensus where Canadians across regions and backgrounds are united in supporting domestic growth, sustainable development, and international cooperation. By emphasizing values like environmental responsibility, innovation, and mutual trust, Canada is redefining its global role. In contrast, the summit directly challenges Donald Trump’s erratic leadership, whose policies—including tariffs, inflation hikes, and destabilizing foreign interventions—are seen as harmful to both the U.S. economy and global stability. Trump’s repeated claims that Canada is the "worst country to deal with" are dismissed as arrogant and misguided, especially amid Canada’s growing economic alliances—most notably a proposed unique partnership with the European Union. The summit signals a broader shift: Canada is not only defending its sovereignty but actively building a resilient, collaborative world order. Meanwhile, the economic chaos caused by Trump’s policies—such as surging oil prices and rising inflation—is contrasted with Canada’s stable, investor-friendly environment. This strategic move positions Canada as a beacon of stability and progress, countering Trump’s erratic and harmful influence on global markets and diplomacy.

Prime Minister Karni knows how to perfectly SWAT the Nat that is the Demented Donald Trump and Trump's despicable regime of Nat's. Here's how you do it. Bring in 120 trillion dollars of assets into a single conference to take place in Toronto from September 14th to September 15th, demonstrating to the entire world that Canada is, should I borrow a phrase right here, the hottest place to invest in right now. Let me tell you what Prime Minister Karni's doing to put the dagger into Donald Trump, drawing on his experience as the former top banker at the Bank of Canada running the central bank during the difficult great recession back over two decades ago or so at this point, running Bank of England as the top central banker there during Brexit and helping the UK during the most difficult and challenging of circumstances. Prime Minister Karni has the top contacts in the financial world. He's asserted that Canada is right now uniting the midpowers together forming a new hegemonic superpower that will not just take on but as I said SWAT, the Trump Nat and regime of Nat's to the south and so you have this first of its kind, Canada Investment Summit with CPP Investments and PSP Investments. Those are Canada's two biggest pension funds and they are hosting this event to lure global capital towards Canadian projects. Now $120 trillion of assets that are managed by various groups will be represented in this conference. So we're talking about BlackRock and Blackstone, we're talking about major sovereign wealth funds from the UAE to Saudi Arabia, to Singapore, to Norway, right, fresh off Norway pulling a lot of its money from the US Treasury market, fresh off from a lot of these foreign countries selling off their US Treasury bonds, they've got some capital to spend right now and they are looking at Canada right now. Oh, you've got massive entities like Berkshire Hathaway and KKR and others from the US and Europe and Asia, you have Canadian heavy hitters are going to be their pension fund CEOs, energy bosses. I mean, you're talking about the people who Donald Trump once considered like I aren't you guys, my crew, no Donald, as you've destroyed the US economy and have injected so much pain into the global markets, people are saying a buy in Prime Minister Karni is hosting this incredible event that will be taking place in Toronto. And he's focused on Canada, not Karni, he's focused on Canada, where is Trump's focused on Trump. I mean, if you looked at this prospectus that was prepared, it's a 66 page prospectus that involves 167 projects across energy, critical minerals, power and utilities, ports, transportation, like high speed throughout Canada. Prime Minister Karni is focusing on all of the provinces and figuring out how to actually strengthen Canada for the long term in this rapidly changing global world. Now Prime Minister Karni gave a impassioned speech yesterday about this incredible conference or convention that's going to be taking place in Toronto. Prime Minister Karni explained something's changed over the past year in our country. Listen to what he has to say here, blame this clip. Once again, Canadians are coming together. Once again, our ambition is catching up with our potential. Something's changed over the past year in our country. Canadians, we all know what I'm talking about, we feel it everywhere. Canadians are standing united, buying Canadian, confidently choosing a Canadian future. More from Prime Minister Karni here talking about how the acts of solidarity in Canada, every day Canadians doing it millions of times has created a sense of solidarity like has never been seen before in Canadian history. This is a truly unprecedented moment. Let's play this clip. These are all acts of solidarity. Some very large, some very small, but they're being repeated millions of times proving that together we can give ourselves far more than any one could ever take away. And these acts of solidarity are making a statement to the world that this is a new powerful and confident united Canada. Prime Minister Karni goes on to say how the world is looking at Canada differently right now. And Karni says we should look at ourselves differently also. It's not about who we aren't, but who we are as Canadians. Powerful words indeed here play this clip. We will build more. We will trade more with each other. We will trade more with the world. And we will create sustainable prosperity here at home. Now, tomorrow, as you know, a number of you have made this happen. Tomorrow something remarkable will happen. The world's largest investors managing over 120 trillion dollars of assets will come to here into our shop window because the world is looking at Canada differently. And I suggest we should look at ourselves differently too. It's not about who we aren't, but who we are. It's not about what's lost, but it's what we have and what we can create. We are kind, generous, hardworking and ambitious people. We have what the world wants, the energy, the resources, the talent, the technology, the capital. And our greatest strength is something that can't be found on any balance sheet. Trust. Look, if you're in this community, you're paying attention. You know what's happening and a lot of what's happening. It's directly affecting your Medicare plans are being discontinued. premiums are going up. And the broker you might have talked to probably pushing Medicare advantage plans even if they aren't right for you. That's why I want you to know about chapter. They're the only advisors who compare every Medicare plan in the country. Thousands of people from this community have already used them. One viewer, Kevin and Florida, is saving $2,100 a year. Another Stephen finally has a plan that covers his dialysis. And for the Midas Mighty, a call with chapter is free and takes just 20 minutes. So if you're on the right plan, they'll tell you. And if not, they'll help you find a plan that fits your needs. I want you to know that we've gotten such incredible feedback from the Midas Mighty about chapter. Frankly, it is overwhelming the positivity that is out there for chapter. And so I'm so glad to be affiliated with it. I'm so glad you're all having great experiences. So call 82 Medicare today to speak with chapter. That is 82 Medicare and feel confident in your Medicare coverage. Now, while Prime Minister Carney was talking about this incredible conference, which is also a message to the world, but Canada is the new global powerhouse. So at least the catalyzing agent for countries that share values and principles or want to invest in a country that is predictable and has certainty and promotes diversity and is diligent and focuses on experts and cares about the environment and the climate, all those things. One of the things we also learned, we've been talking about this for a long time on the Midas Touch Network and Charlie Angus at Midas Canada has been as well, about Carney's push to potentially make Canada what would be called an associate member of the European Union, not formal membership because EU has a lot of bureaucracy. This is how it's described in this article by Reuters. The EU, which has not been flexible about membership rules in the past, is open to the idea of Grant and Canada, a yet to be created status of associate membership. The newspaper reported citing unnamed officials both from the EU and Canada, an associate member status. Remember I've been saying this for a long time, uniting trans-Pacific partnerships with trans-Atlantic partnerships and all roads will go through Canada right now. This is what Donald Trump gets, by the way. This is all backfiring in Donald Trump's space. So a clearly rotten, rotting decay. being psychotic, Donald Trump returning from that demented trip he took to Ireland. I mean, how deranged was that visit by the way to the Irish open. It was so freaking weird. Donald Trump says that he finds Canadians, he finds Canada to be the worst country to deal with, he said, he adds Canada's begging for a deal, but they're the worst country, he says. Again, he is so freaking vile here, play this clip. - President, you talked a lot about what Canada is. I've talked a lot about Canada just in the recent weeks or so, you keep saying also that Russia is China, China, Canada is more dangerous to the US than Russia and China. - They said they were difficult to deal with. I find Canada to be the worst country to deal with. - Really? - The most difficult country. With that being said, they're dying to make a deal. I find Canada to be very, very difficult to deal with. They're leaders, not the people, the people of Canada. - I'm sorry, President Trump, what are you? - When I find them to be very, very different. - China, sir. - And on AI. - And they've ripped off our country for years, but they don't rip apart. - Are the tariffs still in effect? - Yeah, but we have a lot of tariffs. A lot more tariffs in coming in. Don't forget on January 1st, the big one is cars. And we take it a lot of their cars. Car tariffs to go. - And then when he was in Ireland, and he was with the Prime Minister, essentially, of Ireland, Donald Trump said, Canada wants to make a deal badly. Just like Iran, he goes, I lump them together. Canada and Iran, I lump them. So what Donald Trump had to say here, play this clip. - And he took off obviously. So that's, Canada wants to make a deal right there. Just like Toronto wants to make a deal right there. You know, I just don't think they're ready. But Canada wants to make a deal. I hope Canada appreciates being in the same sentence with Iran. It's very interesting. I'm Canada and Iran, but Canada wants to make a deal, Iran wants to make a deal right. At the right time, both of those things could happen. But with Iran, we're winning very substantially. And we have a lot of great cars, but they cannot have a number of the weapon. Canada has to treat our farmers better. They can't judge our farmers' tariffs. They would judge your farmers 400% tariffs. And many other things. So when those things go away, they wouldn't get rid of all of them. I'd be, you'll probably see a deal with Canada really soon. - Mr. President. - Prime Minister Karnia, on the other hand, is like, get out of here, dimensionat. Get out of here. You little, cemented, putrid thing. He talks about the view and the new consensus that exists in Canada right now. Play it. (audience applauding) - This is a great room. Look around this room. We come from different regions, the East Coast, the West Coast, the prairies. Quebec, the far north, Ontario, even. (audience laughing) Federal, provincial, indigenous governments, business, labor. Canadians from every background, every generation. Now, we'll not always agree. We don't need to always agree. But we do agree on something fundamental. Where we are going. There is a new consensus in this country. From a Caload to Victoria. To Quebec City and St. John's. And that consensus is that Canada is taking control of our future. (audience applauding) - More for Prime Minister Karnie right here, talking about businesses and pension funds, are now putting more Canadian capital behind the Canadian ambition. By the way, this would have been money coming into the United States. Great work, Donald, idiot. Here, play this clip. Canadian and businesses and pension funds are now putting more Canadian capital behind that Canadian ambition. In the last week alone, a number of them, and I'm not going to name them, because I suspect there are a few more announcements coming. A number of them have announced plans already to put hundreds of billions of dollars of additional capital to work here in Canada. (audience applauding) - Prime Minister Karnie then talks about the European Union opportunity. As you know, right, he's going to be speaking at the European Union State of the Union. First time, he's going to be speaking after obviously, Ursula Von Drillian speaks. And I think he speaks the next day. First time, though, ever a foreign leader has spoken and addressed the European Union in that time period. But you heard what he said, right? About that? - Look, we're not looking to become a member of the European Union. What we are looking and beginning, we'll begin discussions for unique alliance with the European Union, between Canada and the European Union. We share the same values, we have the same priorities. And we have very complimentary strengths. We're stronger together and this is at a time where the world's more dangerous and divided and friends need to stick together these times. - And then finally, you know, you look at what's happening here in the United States. Our economies are, Donald Trump wrecked our economy. We would have had three interest rate cuts. Had Donald Trump literally done nothing and just allowed former President Biden's economy to be on autopilot. But of course, Donald Trump, demented, psychotic, a loser, a bank ruptor, he's also a sexual predator, tariffs the world. That causes inflation to surge in the United States. We're gonna have an interest rate hike. I'm sure this week, price of diesel continues to rise with the average price, $6.26. It's gonna be $7 a barrel soon or $7 a gallon soon. In San Diego, it's already about to hit $10 a gallon. Price of gas is gonna hit $5 a gallon. On average nationwide, I'm sure by your area, all of this is much more expensive. The price of Brent crude, $108. I predict that'll be at $120 in no time. Donald Trump escalated the catastrophic war in Iran. The Houthis were able to control all of Western Yemen. They now control the Bob El Mondeb straight as they took all of Western Yemen. They're moving east as well to Aden. Saudi Arabia is on the ropes. The east-west pipeline in Saudi Arabia is now shut off. Saudi Arabia is about to run out of oil on the next few days there. Great work, Donald. Great work, MBS for. You thought you were gonna get, when you give Donald Trump all this bribe money, all this quid procom money, he was gonna protect you. You were just another mark in his fraudulent bankrupt schemes that he's been doing his whole damn life. But I guess you're all part of the Epstein class. So this is what you get. But Donald Trump does say he knows more about formulas than anybody. So when he was asked about interest rates, I know more about formulas. My formula, my knowledge on formulas is incredible. Does that mean you have knowledge on formulas? Folks, this guy is an idiot, a malicious idiot. Why have we normalized this psycho? Why have we normalized this thing? This thing, this putrid thing, this predator for real. And you know, Prime Minister Tarni ain't normalizing it. He's made his move. We're seeing leaders across the world making his move. We should be paying the United States is so strong. We should be paying the lowest interest rate in the world, regardless of their formulas. I know more about formulas than anybody. And with the best credit in the world, we make other countries rich. We can turn that off in two minutes. There you have it, everybody. Let me know what you think. Hit subscribe. 120 trillion dollars in that room, huh? Over the next 40 hours. Thanks for watching, everybody. We appreciate you. Breaking news right now. My brothers and I wrote a book. It's called WTF America. And well, doesn't that just say it all? It comes out officially this October. But you can pre-order your copy today.
