We're seeing Prime Minister Carney bringing Canada closer to the European Union. Not fully joining the EU, but an alliance between Canada and the EU that's going to strengthen the mid-powers to further isolate the United States. We're seeing Prime Minister Carney unite most of the premiers throughout Canada, and we saw strong statements from them in the past 24 hours. Let me show you David Eby, the premier. British Columbia, here's what he had to say about the despicable, vile piece of trash that is Donald Trump. Here, play this clip. He talks about how the Bombardier has more content in their planes, American content in their planes, than even Gulfstreams. Bombardier has 4,500. Suppliers, 2,800 of them are in the United States. They do business, I think, in over 40 American states. But, you know, the real interesting thing is that Bombardier has more American content in their planes than Gulfstream has in their planes. So, if they choose to go ahead with this, not only are they going to shoot themselves in the foot, they're going to shoot themselves in both feet. Powerful, indeed. And here's what the EU has to say. Powerful, indeed. I think that you're right to mention that we have already a lot, and we are doing a lot together. We have a lot of political dialogue. But what we want to do on both sides is to go further than that. Not just a new partnership, but something very, very new, and in a way, something unique. You know, we don't want a new partnership, a new strategic or new name for a partnership. We want to reimagine the relationship between, we want to reimagine the relationship between, we want to reimagine the relationship between, the EU and Canada. Yeah, and I do want to also highlight this. David Cochrane over here, on one of the morning shows in Canada, he talked about how now Iceland is getting the treatment, as well as Donald Trump's changing those maps. Here, let's play this clip. So, welcome to the party, Iceland. Now, I want to bring in the head of MIDAS Canada, Charlie Angus, also leader of the resistance. Charlie, great to see you, as always. Just want to get your reaction to all of the developments this past week. Obviously, you have Canada responding to Trump's tariffs, as Canada said it was going to do. And then, you have the Trump regime responding to the retaliation, or whatever the hell they're doing. A lot of weird memes, a lot of whining. Besson saying really kind of just bizarre, like psychopathic serial killer stuff. And then, the Trump regime just behaving like a bunch of babies, we've heard a bunch of premiers over in Canada just being like this behavior, man. It's just like y'all are a bunch of weirdos basically in the United States. Like, this is like some real loser, weirdo behavior. What's your reaction? What are people talking about on MIDAS Canada? Well, Ben, the response here in Canada right now is absolutely rock solid. I was reading that Prime Minister Carney has an 85% approval rating. Now, in a country with usually five political parties, it's never, ever, ever happened. So it shows how strong people are on this. And I think that every single thing we've seen since we walked away from the negotiating table has made us so much stronger. Because what we're dealing with are degraded, deplorable psychopaths. Pete Hegg said, I mean, I've walked through puddles that are deeper than him, but he's trolling teenage girls. And I think that's the problem. I think that's the problem. revealed even more of a window, if that was even possible, you know, into their behavior. And the reality is the message it sends is, how could you deal with these people? Like how do you realistically sit in a room, you know, looking across from these people, you know, the Bessence and the Hegseths and the Hoekstra's and the Trumps and the Jade, you know, this crew of weirdo losers, and even have a conversation, like you can't speak with these people. I mean, you just, you literally can't talk with them. And that's revealed itself even more with their behavior afterwards. I mean, it's like, you know, stalker, desperate, weirdo, weirdo stuff. It's like, dude, you're gonna have to get, we may have to invent, Charlie, like the concept of international restraining orders, you know, for real. We have to create a new tribunal in the UN to keep them away. - Well, I mean, I think, you know, I mean, we were talking about a $1 trillion trade relationship, $1 trillion, that was what was on the table. And the threats and intimidation that we were gonna give up, that he was gonna make us collapse, you're seeing dramatic shifts here, like unprecedented shifts. Our trade in a single year went up 11% around the world. So whatever we lost in the United States, we more than made up with in Europe and Asia. You don't shift trade 11% in a single year, but we're doing that because we understand we have to get the hell out from under this relationship because this is a toxic psychopathic relationship. This is a very abusive situation. Again, on the military front, you know, I talk to people who do contracting for the military in Canada, you know, military stuff, it's, you know, regular, you gotta fill out this form and that form, and it takes years. They're moving stuff around in six and eight years. Eight months, it would have been impossible to imagine before. We're getting ready for whatever comes next, but we will be ready. Meanwhile, again, you have the world watching the disintegration of empire. Now, what Donald Trump is fighting with Iceland today, like Iceland for crying out loud. I mean, they have a special department in Iceland that looks out for the ferries when they build buildings. I mean, that's what I love about Iceland, but you know, we're over in Europe talking about trade and building permanent relationships and Donald Trump's threatening Iceland today. So people like, yeah, there needs to be some kind of international intervention just to take this guy out and send them off to whatever funny farm him and the rest of his toxic crew belong on. - Talk to us about what we're hearing, Canada, EU strengthening relations, similar to how you described it should go down a while back where you said, look, you don't want Canada to actually be in the European Union. A lot of bureaucracy and a lot of, conflicts of law issues that are probably difficult to resolve at least short-term and perhaps even long-term. And, you know, you've had some insight into that in your international travels, but you said, why even think about it like that? You can basically have the economic and defense alliances while maintaining prime minister Carney's position of being the leader of all of the mid powers and bringing trans Pacific and transatlantic together. - Well, Ben, I think the thing that's really, maybe the good element here, is that again, things that took years and we're very stuck on detail, that's all getting blown out of the water. So yeah, we've negotiated with the Europeans. I mean, it's a nightmare in terms of regulatory issues that they focus on, but they are a major global like trading block economy. It's super important for us to be there. I think what the Europeans are realizing with the United States no longer trustworthy, they need allies too. They're sort of blowing past throwing the paperwork out the window and saying, okay, shake a hand. How do we sit down? How do we negotiate? How do we start trading critical minerals? How do you guys start giving us submarine technology? How do we work together in the Arctic? This is happening at a very accelerated rate. And it's going to make Canada, it's gonna change our position in the world that already has. But again, who is the United States looking to? Like they've come out and they've destroyed 80 years of, you know, they've destroyed 50 years of relations in Europe, supporting extremist parties, supporting what Javier in Argentina, supporting the North Korean government and continuing to kiss the boots of Vladimir Putin at every possible opportunity. I mean, how is that going to make America stronger? Is this Donald Trump's just nihilistic death wish of destroying the United States as a world power and he's doing a damn good job. My question is, is why is, why is this being allowed to happen? Why are the voices speaking up? Where is the interventions in the United States to stop this destruction that's going on? Because again, we're watching the empire crumble on our border. We see that level of threat and menace coming from Donald Trump towards us, their next door neighbors. And we're thinking we gotta be ready for whatever happens. And right now, Canadians are more than ready for whatever's going to come. - You know, I saw a recent poll. Overwhelmingly, Canada was asked, do you view the U.S. as friend, neutral, or enemy? Overwhelmingly, enemy. Like it's not even close anymore. You know, and just to even fathom that concept. It's like, and the crazy thing is, I mean, just think about it from our perspective here. Overwhelmingly, Charlie, the people here in the United States support you against us and against our guy. Like we're rooting for you to beat our guy because we know our guy's a sexual predator psychopath who is trying to hurt us. He's trying to hurt our friend. And we're like, what are you even doing here? And this has created a situation too, where I noted that, you know, China, which is already starting to put its foot in the water with China, China and Canada, you know, saying, let's maybe talk about EVs. And we're seeing, you know, entry into that. You know, you're seeing opening up defense dialogue of just, you know, just, you know, nothing major, but it's major given the history of everything of let's start opening up dialogue and having discussions. And so all of this is happening. There's a rapidity at which the global world structure has changed. It seems it was, you know, that first year people were seeing like, is this guy for real? Trump, what's going on? There's still the United States. It's fricking weird. And then, you know, it clicked. I don't know if it was, you know, the right, when this catastrophic war accelerated it with Iran. Oh, got it. Weak loser. You know, but there was a moment, Charlie, where it was like, got it. This guy's a loser. He's a bum. - Well, Ben, I'll throw it to you looking at it from an other point of view. We're on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, and it's bringing up a lot of mixed, mixed emotions in Canada right now, because we were all looking forward, our little town of Gander, Newfoundland, which on 9/11, you know, 250 American planes had to land in Canada and all those people had to be looked after. But in Gander, this town of like 8,000 people had 7,000 stranded Americans land in this isolated town with no supplies. People opened their doors, people gave their homes up, people gave their vehicles up so the Americans could travel around. They had feasts, they had gatherings. So it's always in Canada, that Gander moment is a really special thing. And when we think of 9/11 and the sacrifice and the fire crews and all the horrific loss, we always think of the goodness in Gander. And on 9/11, the whole world, I mean, France, Germany, everyone's saying we are Americans now. And on this 25th anniversary, there's a lot of, there's a lot of emotions and feelings in Canada because Pete Hoekstra is going to be there. I guess he's got to be there as the ambassador, but people are like, wait a minute, dude, you're like threatening our sovereignty. You're insulting us, you're belittling us. And yet you want to be there while we commemorate something that we did as neighbors and friends. So it's, you know, how much the world has changed, how much the United States has changed from that moment at 9/11 when the whole world was like, wow, nobody wants to be anywhere near these guys. People do not want Pete Hoekstra at that event because they find him deeply offensive and openly undermining our sovereignty. So it's, we're thinking about that as we think of 9/11, probably we should be thinking about as a great sacrifice of all the people of what happened at 9/11, but these criminals, these monsters, these just scum are poisoning it for everyone. And I think that that's a real tragedy. Before we go, Charlie, what's your message to Donald Trump and this weak, failing, collapsing regime right now that's frankly destroying everything America was? What's your message? Well, Donald, I know that you said that Mark Carney was responsible for making you the enemy of the Canadian people. And I just want to correct the record. I don't think it's fair to blame Mark Carney because every single Canadian in this country hates him. We hate your guts, Donald. We hate you because you are a sexual predator. We hate you because you are a criminal. We hate you because you're just a weak, destructive, narcissistic fool who is destroying your country, destroying the greatness of the American people right now. And you're obsessed, staying up all night, posting slopaganda memes where you're thinking you're hurting us and that you're gonna make us get upset. Donald, we look at you and we think, are a pathetic criminal. You are going to go down in history as one of the worst tyrants and one of the most disgraceful men to ever hold office. Meanwhile, the rest of the world is looking at you and laughing. The Iranians are laughing at you. The Russians are laughing at you. The North Koreans are laughing at you. In Canada, we're not laughing. We're just getting ready, and we're carrying on, and we're going to do what we have to do. Because at the end of the day, Donald, you're going down in flames. You are on fire right now. Look at your rear end, Donald. You are on fire. We're watching it. It's going down, and we're going to be true North, strong, and free at the end of this.
