Calling Your Shot: How to Become an Undeniable Match for the Life You Want

The speaker, Lindsay, delivers a masterclass on "calling your shot," a concept that distinguishes between setting goals and making decisions that force true expansion. She explains that growth is a linear, controllable trajectory, but expansion requires stepping into the unknown and committing to becoming a person you've never been. This process inevitably brings up deep-seated fears and insecurities, as she experienced before the Powerhouse Women event, where she faced an onslaught of self-criticism. By repeatedly affirming "I hear you, I'm still going to make this move," she transcended these illusions and achieved a new level of emotional freedom, even feeling more authentic bare-faced than in her planned outfit. She introduces the "cute quit," a subtle self-sabotage where logic masks fear, leading people to settle for less than their full potential. To counter this, she emphasizes that calling your shot requires a decision, not just a goal, and often involves an investment—financial, public, or otherwise—to create accountability. She shares examples like signing up for a marathon or hiring a mentor, noting that logic needs proof, so grounding decisions with evidence helps build self-trust. She then outlines her mentorship offerings: "The Upgrade," a one-year container with twice-weekly calls and an in-person retreat, and a smaller mastermind with one-on-one coaching. Both are designed to guide women through the discomfort of expansion, helping them identify the gap between their current and future selves and commit to becoming that version, even without a clear roadmap. The core message is that transformation happens by taking scary, uncomfortable steps toward the person you aspire to be.

Every single one of like my criticisms about myself, my looks, my body, my appearance, if I have any value to give people, it was like being in an onslaught of my own deepest darkest fears and insecurities on loudspeaker. And the way that I met that moment, I realized none of it is real. It's all an illusion. But you have to meet that moment where it's so intense, so intense, so intense. And all I kept doing is saying, "I hear you, I'm still gonna make this move." We have been in this really fun community challenge over the last few weeks, leading into and then now coming out of the Powerhouse Women event. And so today's episode is the replay from Session 3, which was the final session. And I knew I wanted to really talk about the most powerful thing that has shifted everything for me in my growth, in my biggest seasons of expansion. And it's this idea of calling your shot, that there are these moments in my growth where I realize I'm kind of just in a linear growth trajectory. And that's fine, and that's beautiful, and those seasons are so necessary. But every single time that I was ready to catapult myself to another level, I called a shot, meaning said that I was gonna accomplish something, put myself in a really stretchy room, made a stretchy investment, did something that was so out of the norm of the growth trajectory that I was on that it forced all of the things that were blocking me to come to the surface all at once. And working with that energy is a really powerful way to understand how to unlock these seasons of massive momentum in your business. And it's not a pace that I sustain all the time, but there are these moments where I just know that I'm ready to declare something that's gonna force me to level up in such a big way, I cannot remain the same person. So I'm breaking this down in the conversation that I had on this final masterclass replay. And then I also share at the end the only two places that I'm going to be mentoring the community this year. So one of them you've heard me talk a little bit about on the podcast called The Upgrade, which is now a one year coaching expansion container. It's a one year journey that will take us all the way from the 2026 powerhouse women event to the 2027 event and includes another live two day in person retreat slash event in spring, kind of halfway between the powerhouse women event each year. And I really decided to literally take the last 10 years of my experience, the things that I've supported women in growing in, the ways that I know to create transformation and condense them all into this one place that I am going to be expanding right along with you, taking women along on the journey as I declare my next goal as I call my next shot and step into a season of really massive expansion. Just like I've done before, I know exactly how to do and those of you who know you are really ready to be called to a higher version of yourself. You know you're ready to break out of the beautiful growth that you've been in, but you're ready for so much more. You're ready to expand faster. You know that you need someone who is guiding you through this process because we cannot see our own limitations on our own. We cannot see our own blind spots. We can't see the places where we subtly hold ourselves back. And most of us don't have people around us who are calling us up to that next version of ourselves. So I share a little bit more at the end about the upgrade and then an even smaller, more intimate experience that I'm creating in place of our expanders retreat where I'm essentially including two of the expanders retreats in a one year mastermind experience, which includes one on one support from me. And some things that I haven't offered in a while, but I knew that I was really ready this year to go so much deeper with a smaller group of women who are really ready to expand and really ready to be called higher. You are the people in your lives who you can play at 70% and it'll look like other people's 100 and that is a really slippery slope because there's very few people who can even call you on that behavior because very few people are outpacing you. And one of the fastest ways to grow is to put yourself in communities with other people who are playing the same level as you are who are just as committed as you are, who can see what is possible for you. So I'm really excited to dive into this work with the community and we start September 2nd. So I'm not really doing a big public launch around this program most of it filled at the Powerhouse Women event. But I did want to at least mention it here because I know some of you who weren't able to be in the room with us at the Powerhouse Women event this year are looking for this level of support. So we will link some details in the show notes. Feel free to reach out to me personally on Instagram. My personal Instagram will also be linked in the show notes. If you want to just have a little DM conversation about whether or not this would be a good fit for you, whether it's the upgrade or the upgrade mastermind, I would love to have a conversation. And like I said, this is really the space for those of you who know you are so ready to be pushed beyond the limits that you set on yourself. And every single limit that we think is in our way is self-imposed every single one. So if you know this is your season of expansion, this might be the support container that you are looking for. And the level of accountability that you need in order to break yourself out of the shell, you are currently being limited by an expanded to so much more exactly what you know is possible for you. So really let this conversation sink in regardless of whether or not you're looking for that kind of support or not. I really want you to assess for yourself, which season are you in? Are you in a season of integration and nurturing the growth that you've already created? Are you on more of a linear trajectory where that works for you right now and that's all you can sustain? Or are you feeling this build-up of resistance that only comes when we know we're ready for so much more and we haven't quite kicked it into that gear yet? And just think about what would be the next vision that I could set for myself? What's the next call or what's the next shot that I can call? What's the next expansive growth goal that I could set for myself that will force me to step into the woman I know I meant to become? That is where you unlock true expansion. For those of you who know me and you know that I've had a very intuitive relationship with powerhouse women from the very beginning and that something I've come to accept and trust is that the content as far as exactly what I will say on stage doesn't typically come until about 42 to 70, 42 to 72 hours like two to three days beforehand. And this year everything about the event was really just asking Natalie and I and you know our whole team to just surrender. There were so many things where it was like I thought it was going to be that okay it's not. And one of the things that I was invited into a deep and very this was like kind of life altering for me is my keynote like as far as what I was supposed to share didn't come. I kept trying to tap into it and I just kept getting a blank a blank screen which was my invitation to trust that I could step on stage and I it would come in that moment. So it was like the first opportunity or the first experience I've ever had of myself of like fully channeling something I guess like fully just allowing everything I said to all of you not speaking from my head but truly just like speaking from my heart. But I'm sharing that because what what I'm going to talk to you about today and some of you are saying wow that's scary that must be freeing that must be it all of that is whatever our relationship is like when you imagine yourself stepping into that same scenario. That would probably make you feel a sort of way but what we're going to talk about today is how I got to experience that version of myself because of all the micro moments all the little ways that I practice trusting that moment of surrender over and over and over. And also you know your girls a yapper I've got a podcast for seven years it's like I knew that like if I stepped on stage and I actually didn't know what to say like I've got plenty of material to pull from it's not as though I didn't have any clue. Like gosh what what could the powerhouse women event be about it was it was just asking me to trust that it was going to be better if I allowed it to be what was like right there in the moment and I watched it back yesterday and it was it was a weird experience because I was so in it. I wasn't even really thinking about how it was being received so I got to actually experience it. experience it from the other side, there were some moments that I was like, wow, I'm even funnier when I'm channeling it. That's so, that's fun for me to experience. But I think what I want to preface this to say is that, you know, for anyone who's really finding themselves drawn into the conversation right now that is powerhouse women, and especially if you felt drawn to that event and whether you were in the room with us or just watched it online. And thought, like, gosh, how did I miss that? I can't ever miss an event like that again, like I could just tell what was there. It's something that I think those of us that are really being called to expand beyond the traditional conversation around expansion are being drawn to this conversation right now. And you may like already know that that's you. You may have a sense that that's you and that's not to say that expansion in terms of the amount of money or the amount of opportunities were getting none of that is bad. We talked about that in session one how the desires that we have are the catalyst for expansion. If we didn't want anything, we would never be like, if I didn't want more for myself, I wouldn't be motivated to meet those moments of really intense resistance. And I went through the most intense resistance I've ever experienced in my life leading up to the powerhouse women event. And I knew it was preparing me for whatever version of myself I was going to get to bring to that moment. And I was sharing with some girlfriends how the thing that I am now realizing, you know, as I've been doing my healing work and going back and creating a relationship with, you know, my inner child and the parts of me that I felt weren't supported in a certain way, even though I grew up in such a loving environment, the one that I think I was, I didn't ever think of it in this way. I didn't realize it and I think for good reason and part of what we'll talk about today is how we have to develop a different relationship with our analytical or logical mind if we're truly going to commit to this expansion process because I think you so far beyond what feels safe and what feels like you can handle because that is truly where expansion happens. And for me, what that looked like and then I'll kind of circle it back to where we've been and where we're going to go in this call is that the realization that part of what I didn't really get as I was growing up was I didn't have someone who was pushing me. I was always like the achiever, I was the one who got really good grades, I was the one who got a lot of acknowledgement when I was setting a goal that I knew I could crush so I only set goals that I knew I could crush. And I think part of where the when I talk about like the realization that I can play at 70% it can look like other people's 100 but then there's still this restlessness in me it's because and I think a lot of us even are starting to feel that restlessness because you're like okay I chase the money I got the money I'm still feeling that restlessness and I know that the answer isn't more money. Okay, I've you know chased the other external things and realize like no that's powerful like there's actually something so powerful the moment I realize I could take something that I was really passionate about and monetize it like watch out world. But then it just became you get to this point where you realize you're playing a different game that the freedom you want yes you want financial freedom yes you want time freedom all that is so valid and you want those things so you can create true like emotional freedom. Like the level of emotional freedom I unlocked in myself to step on stage no makeup no outfit and actually feel even better that then when I like even more authentic that then when I changed into my fun outfit and that is like such a fun process of the event too I love the creativity the artistry of coming up with what outfit am I going to wear. I felt even better when I was just bare faced and in my yoga pants and that to me was the moment where I knew I had actually integrated everything that I've been working toward and I also knew it would be such an invitation to all of us like for all of us and I didn't know I didn't know how I was going to feel in that moment. I knew that it would it would be an invitation for all of us to see because there were some of you even who shared on Instagram how you felt like you felt very protective over me you felt this sense that maybe other people were judging me and all that is is a mirror to show us where we wouldn't allow ourselves that same level of self expression right. So when I'm sharing all this to say that you know as I talk about the journey moving forward with powerhouse women I know that there is so much more abundance there's so much more freedom there's so much more self expression available for all of us and I'm just no longer interested in having that conversation from a business only perspective i'll say that to say that the other thing that simultaneously true is yes I feel a whole different level of. Emotional freedom I feel I just feel like the best version of myself I've ever been I just like really love I love this stage of me and there's just going to be even so much more to discover and to have the event feel like it felt to have gone through and I went through some some pretty tough resistance i'll talk a little bit about what showed up in the realization that oh wow I think what I actually want is for someone to push me for someone to say like I see you I see how amazing you are but you can even do more than that. I went through a lot leading into the event that I haven't really shared because I was just I was in the middle of it and on the other side you know coming into that event and all of these things that before I was trying to achieve this business growth in a different way I was trying to achieve it through strategy which isn't a bad thing it just kind of left me. I think feeling like I was trying to force the outcome and so I really surrendered to this idea that what I believe and what I teach is that when you want growth in another area of your life in your relationships in your business in any in your finances it really there's a pathway where you can force your way there or where you can surrender to the fact that your soul has a curriculum for how to actually have that thing just be your new normal. There's an identity that matches that thing that if you understand the process of truly how to how to embody it it comes and it sort of even doesn't feel like the high the high high you thought it would so you know we're in the middle right now of what will what is already and will be our biggest launch ever. And it's never felt so good it's never felt so inflow I've never felt more aligned or like I wasn't actually even selling anything I was just inviting people into what I know is true and what I know I want to offer. And so I'm sharing that with you to say that I want to start to point out what you're probably feeling in me that you haven't quite been able to put your finger on yet. And you won't be able to come to me and say Lindsay what was the strategy behind that launch or what stage preparation did you have what how did you plan out your you know your sales from stage and I and I didn't I will just tell you I didn't but I prepared my soul to be able to show up in that way to be able to ask myself honestly. Okay what do I wouldn't I uniquely qualified to offer my community what do I feel so deeply that they are craving right now. And in the same way that I have realized for myself that I I've always had this hunger for growth and expansion I think those of us that are pretty in tune with our soul are always going to feel that we just have been served a version of expansion that looks like only measuring it. By these external things that are great and that's cool to have them. It's it's so fun to realize like oh I can set my intention on that and I can become that person and then you get the thing only to realize that it was the becoming and the understanding of who you now are that is the ultimate prize that the rest of it just gets to be like oh cool. That's just more proof that what I'm what I believe is actually the truth so when we have this conversation I wanted to ground it in this context so you know who I am where my heart is as I'm sharing this information with you because. You know we're going to talk today about what it actually looks like to call your shot and how fucking uncomfortable that is how much like you will get to these points where you realize okay I'm the only one who's going to truly push me like even having I've had so many well meaning friends and mentors around me who see so much more for me. And I've always reflected that back to me but there was a moment where I finally had to say oh wait a minute I've been you know kind of in this same pattern that I've been in since childhood where I still only put my word two things that I know for sure I can crush and it limits me a little bit right because I don't have to fully step into the unknown of being someone I've never been. Confronting parts of me that you know I've been very comfortable avoiding and I really discovered that it was around me when I shared about how those of you that were in the upgrade the final final final call the one I was like wait a minute I just got the entire the entire upgrade and it was the realization that part of where the restlessness for me is right now. now is realizing that I'm not raising my own standard. I'm not calling my own shot. I'm not raising the bar. And it was because I had it confused. It was because I'm not someone who's actually super driven by money. And so just setting another financial goal just doesn't-- like I don't connect with that in the same way. But the moment I started to realize that number one, a little-- some of that is a lie. I tell myself that I'm not really driven by money because that's still a little bit tied to my upbringing and feeling like if you say you want more, it makes you a certain type of person, et cetera. And so I had to get real honest about that. And then I had to get really honest about the fact that I didn't want to be responsible for being the person that I knew was the match for the goals that I was going to declare. And what's so funny is that even coming out of the event, like I said, the launch has been going really well. I'm just so grateful for the people who are feeling aligned with this next program that we're opening up, or there's a couple of them. And I'll share them at the end here. But I noticed myself almost being like, OK, cool. That's good enough. Almost sort of like it got to this point. And then I noticed in another area in my life with feeling myself opening myself up to-- I'm still very much single, very much haven't been dating. But there was a conversation I found myself being like, well, I could give this person a chance. And I saw myself-- and Mapwanna, you and I had this text exchange yesterday where there's a few of you who have very close relationships with that I have this level of closeness that I can say. Yeah, I'm calling you out on that. And it was a text exchange she and I were having-- forget what we said-- she almost fell for her own version of the cute quit, her own version of playing small. And then literally, in that same conversation, I sat there and I was like, wait a minute, I just did that too. I almost just settled for the thing where-- yeah, she said this bitch almost slipped. Because here's what happens when we are people who are the ones in our friend groups in our social circles. We are the ones who are leading the way for everybody else. Most people aren't equipped to call us on the ways-- because they will be micro ways, especially when you're someone who's playing a big game. The ways that you cute quit, the ways that you default to 70% don't look like anyone else's ways. It's OK if I showed just even a little context of what we were saying. So she was saying, I have to be really financially responsible. Also true, no one would ever say you shouldn't be. My husband is retiring in five years. All I heard was the woman that I know. And I don't see her as being the person who's planning to slow down. And I said, great, I hear that he's retiring. What do you want? What does five years-- what does five years look like for you? And if you want that life, if you want to slow down absolutely, then plan for that. If you don't want to slow down, then you have to create the game that in five years from now has you look around and be like, cool. Well, his business did really well. Now mine does really well. But that starts now. It starts with the decisions that we make. So I'm giving her this advice. This is why any of us who coach-- coach, because we coach ourselves in the process. And I realized I was kind of doing that same thing. There was this part of me that was like, OK, there was a certain goal I had in mind that I just felt very resonant with for this next season of mentorship and who I'm going to be working with and how that looks. And we're about halfway there. And I was ready to be like, oh, that's good. That's fine. Instead of being like, no, who do I have to become to play full out for the full version of what I want? OK, I could default to someone who's a very kind person that has shown interest in me and is probably a great man and all the things. But it's not fully the type of connection that I want. Am I willing to stay in the unknown of not knowing if that will come, not knowing if I can have that? Part of this is if we're going to talk about calling our shot, if we're going to talk about becoming an undeniable, energetic match for the things that we want, first of all, we have to go 10 toes down on the thing we want, not knowing if we can actually have it or not. The unknown is a part of this process. So in our first session of this, we talked about desires. We talked about how that is the carrot that gets dangled in order to even incentivize us to go into the discomfort, because the next part gets really uncomfortable. The next part is where, when we ask for expansion, in the next breath, we're also asking to be shown where we're limited. And seeing where you're limited will start to present you with the opportunity to be new in the face of really familiar circumstances. So you're met with the same trigger. You're met with the same cute quit. You're met with the same resistance, the same fear. And instead of waiting for the fear to go away, you say, huh, what if this fear was an illusion all along? And I instead choose to do the opposite thing that the fear wants me to do, which is to stop. And I love Alex's question, what's the cute quit? So the cute quit is what we do when we're right at the point of transformation. We're at the point of creating new results. And because we're so personally developed, our quit doesn't sound like a quit. Our quit sounds like, you know, this isn't a great season for this. Or you know what would be more strategic? You should grow your audience bigger first, then launch that thing when you know you're being called to launch that thing. Or it sounds like for me right now, you know what? That launch, the numbers you've done already, that's more than enough. Well, of course it is. But the fact that I feel, I feel very, there was a certain, very clear download for this launch that came to me. Which means if I stop now, there are people who are meant to be a part of what we're creating. They're meant to be served by this community, by what we're gonna do together. And they won't be if I stop now. So it's the point, the cute quit is when we have to notice the point when we're about to take ourselves out of the game and call it logic when it's really just fear. And it's gonna seem logical, but we have to remember that logic and that part of our mind is wired for safety. Which safety means staying the same. There's nothing good, bad, right or wrong about that. It's just not expansion and we can't pretend that it is. Expansion is gonna have you step beyond logic. And that's not to say that, again, like when Mopwana and I were texting, that's not to say that I would ever tell someone, be irresponsible with your investments. No, of course not. However, notice when your head and your heart are opposing one another, start to tune into, okay, my mind is saying this. Now what it might be saying is, you know, I'll use myself as an example. Let's say I wanna make an investment in myself and everything in me feels pulled toward making this investment. This actually happened a little bit with the mentor I invested in this last year. And at the point of making the investment, I started to be like, I don't know if this is responsible. Like this amount, investing this amount, okay, I actually don't know if it's responsible. Let me just pause. So I did, I paused and I went into, okay, what is it that is actually showing up right now? Number one fear, because I know that I need to create a new whole way of looking at my finances for the business to grow it to the level that I want to. I know how to grow business to this point. Growing it to the next point, how to scale the team I need, just requires a different level of financial management. So I was checking myself 'cause I was kinda going like, is this in a line? I don't know, is this my old pattern or my expanded one? And then I went to, okay, here's the other thing. Logic needs proof. Logic is looking for certainty. You can look in two places for proof. Number one is, what have you done in a previous scenario that's similar to this, that can show your mind proof that you can be trusted at this level? So for me, and I shared a little bit about this at the event, I've made really big investments in myself before and I know exactly how I took that investment. I sat down, I made a business plan for how I was gonna 10X it. And I followed through on my word, I 10X that investment. So I can trust myself with a bigger investment because I've done it before and I showed myself. You know, obviously I vetted the person I was working with. I did all my due diligence, but it came down to the moment of making the decision to invest, comes down to, do I trust myself with this investment? As long as you've done your due diligence, believe that this person, you know, is aligned. values and they have, you know, you know, what you're investing in and what you're getting out of it. And then you come to this moment where the choice to invest is actually, do I trust myself? And that's often where we, where the real like rubber meets the road because then we get to be with, sometimes the honesty is, I've invested before and I didn't follow through. Oh, okay, that like that integrity gap is now showing up. I want to move forward, but I have not built the full trust in myself. So then it's, you know, there's a whole process to how you restore that integrity with yourself. It's either, you know, you get really honest with, well, what, what happened last time? And is there a way to restore that? Can I consider that experience complete? Can I say that like, okay, invested in that? And I didn't show up. Is there a way for me to go back and either complete what I started? Or do I declare it complete? And now I know, okay, what happened at that moment where, where did the excitement start to dwindle? And what was the story I started telling myself? All of this, you know, like we said, everything is the upgrade. And this is in, I wasn't even really intending for this to be completely about a financial investment. I just know that one of the most powerful ways that any of us can call our next shot is to put our investment behind it. When we pay, we pay attention differently. When we pay, we show up differently. And so there will be, that doesn't mean that that time is for you right now, but there will be moments where, you know, whether it's investing financially in, you know, a mentor, a program, something of that nature, or investing in, you know, buying inventory for your business at the next level, hiring at the next level. That's an investment. This can show up in all different ways. Sometimes the earliest investments are putting your word to something publicly because you put your word to something, but then you don't tell anyone about it. So then no one follows up and checks on you when, you know, you said you're going to post every day. And then it's day five. And you're like, Oh, actually, I don't, I don't like my hair today. I, you know, don't have makeup on. And so you just don't. And so, you know, again, I think part of what I'm giving myself permission to just be really honest with people about is that, you know, the impact I've been able to make in people's lives and businesses has very little to do with strategies. I've taught them it's this. It's the fact that I will be that person who doesn't let you quit on yourself. And that is really uncomfortable for the party that's going to really want to quit on yourself. So I'm going to talk a little bit about how to work with this energy of calling your shot because if we look at the sandwich we've created, the desires, the desires are the part that feels really fun. That's what gets us kick started. That's what gets us going. Staying connected to desire is powerful because it gives us enough motivation to overcome the moments where we're, we're going to want to quit. If you're doing this the right way, you're going to hit moments that you want to quit or you want to, you want to just start to hedge your bets a little bit. You're like, well, I don't really need that, you know, I don't really need that full result. I'd be okay with this. Well, sure, but you put your word to this. And I bet what's happening is the difference between 70% of your goal and 100% of your goal is becoming a version of yourself that's starting to feel really confronting. And so, yeah, of course, of course, you can default to 70%, but like what's possible if you go for 100% of that goal of the thing that you said. And it's just like falling in love with catching ourselves in these moments where we unintentionally slow down our own expansion by listening to that voice of logic that's just trying to talk us out of our full potential. And when I tell you that the moment I settled on, oh my gosh, you know what? I think my inner child work right now is it's to realize that part of what I never really got was someone like really pushing me. I really learned how to be the one who got the grades, got the results. Even now, like looking at the version of the Powerhouse Women event, I'm so proud of, I'm so grateful for. And that is like, I could give 70% and that event could still happen. And to realize that part of what I get to now be for myself is I get to be the loving parent who says I see so much more for you. And I know this is scary, but we're going to keep moving forward toward this result. And when I tell you that about the three weeks leading into the event where some of the most intense like head to head battle, me with myself to the extent, here's how I know that I'm really getting close to, I'm like, dangerously close to a breakthrough. She starts to get real petty. Like, I'm telling you, every single one of like my criticisms about myself, my looks, my body, my appearance, if I have any value to give people, it was like being in an onslaught of my own, like deepest darkest fears and insecurities on loudspeaker. And the way that I met that moment, and this is like to know, this is what happens when you know you're, you're about to make like the quantum leap of all quantum leaps because how I feel on the other side now, I can't, I don't even have words for like, I'm just like levitating because I realize none of it is real. It's all an illusion, but you have to meet that moment where it's so intense, so intense, so intense. And all I kept doing is saying, I hear you, I'm still going to make this move. I hear you, I'm still going to go on stage without makeup. I hear you and I'm still going to create a bigger vision for Powerhouse Women 2027 that has me stepped into this. And it was almost at the point that like all of the, all of the things, but like, yeah, what, what if this happens? What if that happens? I just listened to all of her concerns and I kept saying, I hear you, I love you, and we're still going this way. I think she just tired out and she started to trust that I was this time, not going to cave. And all of a sudden, I feel a visceral sense of just embodiment at the level that I was calling in. So now it's just a matter of matching the results that that version of myself has. But I say that because I'm going to talk to you today about what it looks like to call your shot. That could sound like a really like raw, raw, because in the moment you call your shot, it feels exciting. Most of actually stepping into that decision does not feel good. But then it feels fucking phenomenal on the other side. And I'm saying phenomenal, not even in the, like, I don't have the love that I'm calling in yet. I don't have the exact, you know, business that now I'm like, oh, I can see this. I can see this vision for us. I don't have that yet, but I am her now. You get the difference? We think it's like when I have the thing that I get to feel that way, I really like went through my own portal of exactly what we're going to go through within the upgrade, which is going to be the program I'm leading over the next year. So, okay, Alex, perfect question. Is calling your shot just setting your goal? Okay, let's kind of back this up because we talked at the Powerhouse Women event. If you have not watched the YouTube of the opening keynote, it would be a good exercise to go through because we go a little bit more in depth into the conversation about really. So yes, in a sense, Alex, it's calling, it's calling your shot is setting your goal, but it's a little bit more layered than that because a goal, how many of us have had goals that have never been realized? Or maybe even like the same goal that on repeat, you kind of just keep either pushing out the deadline for it. Okay, great. And so I just become, I'm like a very fascinated person with just human psychology and the way that we're motivated and how actual transformation occurs. So that is what I've spent the last 10 years of my own life studying in myself in the hundreds of women that I've coached. And I started to realize there really is just this, there are a couple of things that are present in the moments that I radically changed my life in a shorter period of time and in the moments that I've watched other people do that. And it's this combination of, they've built enough self trust that they can call like a stretchy uncomfortable shot, meaning, you know, sometimes what happens is we just are so uncomfortable with where we are right now that we were like, okay, my business is doing zero dollars in revenue. I'm calling my shot for a million. Beautiful. Absolutely. Do that. You'll find out really quickly if you have enough self trust to create that result in a short period of time. And I would even say the better way to play with this energy is to call a shot. Like if you think about something that you could create in five years, condense that down to one year and play with that energy. Or if you think about something you could do in the next one year, condense it down into 90 days, and you're going to start to notice really quickly, like can you go from zero to a million in a year, absolutely, if I can loop, you can, people do it all the time. And we will know how, how on track you are for that by how differently you are showing up. Because if, if we call the shot and then the next, you know, 90 days, we show up just doing like 10% more, thinking 10% differently than the previous version of us. That's just not, we're not on track to reach that outcome. And then, we instead decide that we start to add it on to this shame pile of like, not good enough, really feeling down on myself because I didn't do it. When all we did is we were, we were not being responsible with how to work with the energy of calling your shot. Because some, if we have like a shame story, what we don't even realize is sometimes the pattern that we play out is we set targets that we're not right, we don't have the inner architecture, the nervous system capacity, the belief in ourselves, the level of self-trust to be responsible with that big, calling a bigger shot. Therefore, it just adds more shame onto the story that we're not enough, we're not going to, so it ends up backfiring on us because we're working with a very powerful concept, being able to set a vision that's going to stretch you and make you uncomfortable, but we're doing it irresponsibly because we haven't checked in first to see like, what do I have the capacity for? So calling your shot is yes, it is what is the desire that you are not just saying you want, you are deciding you will have. That's part one of what calling your shot is and how it's different from just setting a goal. Setting a goal sometimes carries the energy of how would really like to have that. Nothing wrong with that, it's just different than making a decision to have it, which is making the decision to become the person who has it. So how we walked through this in the opening keynote of the Powerhouse Women event was, you know, I just had everyone on a piece of paper, everyone can do this, you make a line straight down the middle on the right hand side, you write 2027, the left hand side, you write 2026 right at the top, and then I had everybody go through and make a list of like, what are three things that the 2027 you have in terms of external results? What amount is, you know, her business generating? Does she have a certain, like certain types of friendships that you right now don't have? Does she have a schedule, a calendar that looks a certain way? You know, is she only working 10 hours a week versus 50 hours a week, whatever that is? And then you, so you do three things she has, three things she does that are different than what you do now, right? So the person who has all those things probably says know a lot more. So maybe one of the things that 2027 you does is she says know to misaligned opportunities. Maybe one of the things that she does is she charges double what your current rates are. And maybe that feels like such a stretch, there's a part of you that starts to like hyperventilate when you're like doubling my prices. How could I, we're not saying you're going to do that tomorrow, but just allow yourself. And sometimes then I even play with like, where is the point where when I say, okay, 2027 me has X where I actually disconnect because I don't even believe it. We have to work with what we can, we can at least attach a little bit of belief in what is possible. This is why going to events or even being in community is so powerful because sometimes all we need to see is like, Oh, a woman who's just like me, wait, she did what? And she has now all of a sudden, I have evidence that what I want is possible. So when you find yourself like for me, if I put down, I'm going to have a bazillion dollars, that I don't even know how many zeros that is. So I disconnect from it immediately. Like, there's no real, but you know, I've been, I've been growing my business to a point where all of a sudden I'm like, well, okay, I've never done that much in a year, but all of a sudden something broke through and I think I could do that in one launch. Like, I see, I see the pathway. I had to work with people who helped me understand like the exactly expanders who helped me see what was possible. But then there was a point where what was necessary in order for me to do it is I had to I had to say, okay, now I'm deciding. Deciding a decision is not the same as a goal. A decision is what carries the power of your future self. A goal motivates her and she might get there, but a goal isn't always a strong enough energy to hold us accountable in the moments that we really meet ourselves when we meet the parts of us that is not wired for the thing you just decided to have. Right? So what does 2027 you have? What does she do? And then who is she being? Being means, how does she feel on a day-to-day basis? Does she feel really confident going on stage without makeup, going on camera without makeup? It's okay if you don't feel that way now, but just what could be available, right? Does she feel really peaceful? Does she feel I keep going back to like the feeling of peace, especially like when you open your bank account, right? You open your financial statements. What does she feel around certain things right now that you don't like how you feel? And then you do the same thing for 2026 and just get really honest, what does 2026 current version of you feel? What does she do or not do? And no shame, but just, you know, she, what does she do? It could be, okay, if 2027 me shows up daily with consistent content on social media and she batches that so that she has content to post even on the day she doesn't feel like I don't always feel like creating content. I don't always feel like showing up, but I use that as an excuse because you know what? You can also just batch content when you're ovulating and you feel real shiny and you feel like you feel like showing up on camera, right? The days you're having a great hair day, batch that content. You know, so like just looking at the places where I make excuses for my own limitations, I just fight for my limitations because being responsible for being the version of me, I say I want to be requires me to step beyond what I feel comfortable with. So you just get really honest, what do you have currently? What do you do currently? And how are you feeling about yourself currently? And then what it does is it creates a gap. And a gap, you know, when we become aware of a gap, it does actually become more uncomfortable. I don't know if you ever like look around at people who are just kind of like blissfully unaware that more is available for them. And like just really are very comfortable blaming everyone else for their problems and not taking responsibility. And I'm like, that sometimes like that just seems like a better choice. But at the same time, it's like then there's actually no agency to make a change. Like you can't put that genie back in the bottle. Once you know that you are at cause of anything you want to be do and have not saying that you're it's your fault if things aren't going your way, but you can be cause in the matter of your life. You can cause any outcome that you want. Taking that full responsibility is also a decision, right? That's a decision to say. And that was part of like when I really looked at deciding to go full tilt, deciding to lean into this 100% version of me, there is a part where I realized I had to completely like the version of me that I've seen in the future. The 2027 version of me is no longer is living fully as though everything that happened to me up until this point in my life is for my highest and best. And it is the best thing that ever happened. And I had to look within there. There was some places where I was still real committed to a little bit of like, but I really want to be right about this and I really want to be right about how wrong this person was. It was like, great, keep choosing that or choose to live as the version of you who has the life that you say you want. So we open up this gap. Now is the time to work with the energy of calling your shot. Okay, so let me just clarify what calling your shot is and what it isn't. Like I said, it's different than having a goal. Calling your shot is a decision. It's a decision to have it. It's a decision to see it through. Even if the path there doesn't look the way you thought it would because it won't, if you could predict every every little step of how the path to your what you say you want is going to go, you are still choosing within your window of what you can control. So that's not expansion. That's growth. It's just not expansion. Expansion is like I don't get to control how this goes or how I'm perceived or exactly the steps. It's just a different it's a different path. Growth is great. There have been many seasons of my life that I am growing. I'm always growing, but I'm not always expanding. And that's okay. I don't I don't actually know that we're meant to just like go from like expansion expansion. That might be like a lot. I have a whole life ahead of me. So I don't have I'm not in a rush to expand like too quickly. But I think I just got to a point this year where I was like, Oh, I'm ready for expansion again. I was just more on a growth trajectory. I was healing. I was doing a lot of really deep work, which was beautiful. But the decision is the decision to go beyond what you can currently see. And that's how you know you're playing with this energy of like actual expansion. But then it's also deciding that you're going to have the end result you say and giving up the timeline and giving up the pathway. Like you might kind of know, you're usually being given the next one to two steps. And if you don't take those, you will start to get nothing. Nothing, nothing, nothing. If you're like, I don't have a plan. It's probably because you have been, where's my girl Courtney? I saw her on here. Delayed obedience is still disobedience. That smacked me right inside the face when she said that from the crowd in on Saturday. You know, it's again, not something to beat ourselves up about. But it's just to realize like, no, we're always being given the next step. It's probably just something you're resisting or you don't want to take or you don't want that to be the next step. And then to realize that calling your shot for me. Almost always requires me to also invest in some way in that person I'm becoming in the future. When I have actually expanded in my, like my biggest season of, seasons of true expansion, where I let go of the timeline, I let go of the exact plan. I committed, I decided to become a different version of myself. When I stand in that energy, when you know you're actually in that energy, you'll almost always be presented with an opportunity, a mirror, a mentor. You know, a lot of times it was investing in a mentor. When you actually make the decision, no, I am no longer available for this version of life. I'm not even saying there's anything wrong with this version. Like my life right now is so beautiful. And if I'm being honest, if I'm truly honest about my desires, there are things that I want to deepen. I want to create more financial freedom for myself, which doesn't just look like making more money in my business. It looks like creating a solid, a different kind of financial foundation, different investments, different things that I need to learn. I don't know those things. I could learn them myself. That's the growth path. Or I could invest in a mentor who can get me there so much faster, right? There's not one way that is better than the other. It's just knowing which, which pathway you're choosing right now, because I think where it gets really uncomfortable is when we're actually on a path of growth, right? Incremental growth, we're still operating within what we can control, what we can see ourselves. It's kind of like the self-led path, which is beautiful. I've done that so many times when I actually make the decision to expand. It almost always involves looking out, looking out ahead about a year from now, and investing based on what decision would that version of me make? What decision would that version of me look back and be like, "That was the best investment I ever made, because it got me to the end point so much faster." Again, I don't want this to at all sound like I'm just setting you up to sell you on the program that I'm leading, but for some of you, for a lot of you, it won't actually be the right thing. I'll use the example, I asked Natalie if I could share this example. Natalie from Team Powerhouse is training for her first marathon right now. Were you a runner before signing up for a marathon, Natalie? She's shaking her head down. Never ran a mile. Sorry if it was in the chat. I've never ran a mile in my whole life. Didn't run a mile. What was that moment that made you decide to sign up for a marathon? To celebrate that I've made it this far, so why would it be any different? It's on her birthday. The marathon is on her birthday. And now, are you a runner? Yeah, I am. And I train out day in the heat in Arizona when it's 116 degrees outside. That's just a runner. That is a committed runner. That's what I mean. It's not just sign up for a mentorship, those things like that. What is your version of a marathon? What is the thing that? I'll never forget the first time. Hopefully I didn't become a runner until I signed up for my first half marathon. And then I decided to figure out how to become a runner. It's the same thing, but had I not put my money down on the marathon, I would, there were so many moments where I would have quit, right? There's so many moments that I'm sure Natalie is like, we have a lot going on right now, plus it's 110 degrees. I really don't want to run. So it's like, what is that moment for you? And here's how you'll know that you actually are in decision energy. Expansion versus growth. Growth energy feels like you, there's a little bit more of the flexibility around whether or not you stick to the plan. And you probably have more control over the plan. If you're in growth, if you're in expansion, you don't have as much control over the plan because it's going to take you into the complete unknown. And you'll know if you've truly made a decision to expand because you'll usually be presented like whether all of a sudden, randomly, you're like, I think I'm going to sign up for a marathon. What? Like, who was that, right? Or I mean, last year when you like booked the trip to Bali, Natalie, and she'd never been out of the country and she's like, I'll just go to Bali, right? So it's something like that. What is the decision that you make that forces the version of you that you want to meet to rise up? It could be declaring a launch. But you got to be, again, you got to really work with this. Is this a growth trajectory or expansion? Am I making a true decision or is this a goal? A goal is I would like to launch on October 1st. The decision is I am declaring publicly. I'm launching October 1st. I have accountability from either friends or mentor. You have to decide, like how can you, the more you can turn up, the level of like holding your own feet to the fire, most of us, all of us, especially if you are listening to this on the podcast. You're here with us live. You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for. And the only thing stopping you is the story that you're telling yourself about why you can't have more, why you can't be more. And again, I feel like I'm just saying the same things over and over in different ways. Because I just really wish you could feel my belief in you. I wish it was possible to transfer that to you. But that would be that would be short-cutting your expansion if I could. So I actually wouldn't want to transfer it to you. Because there is a moment where you decide for yourself. You decide you get to have whatever it is that you want. You decide that you are willing to see it through as long as it takes to have what you want to become who you want to be. And in that process, you will meet the part of you that wants nothing to do with expansion. And she's just scared. So the actual pathway, and I think this is kind of where I felt like, gosh, the ways that I attempted before were either trying to override her. And not just like hear her out, you know, listen to her. But then I kind of swung almost too far the other way where I was like, now letting a teenager with an attitude problem in, you know, be in charge of my business. And it was like if she didn't feel like showing up, then I'd be like, well, she doesn't want my inner child doesn't want to, you know, sometimes that's true. Sometimes you have to like really self-assess where you are on your healing journey. I got to a point where I just decided I was like, oh, wait a minute. I'm the grown up now, right? I'm the one who can hold me accountable. I'm the one who knows that I'm going to be okay on the other side of stepping through this fear. So what would be the most powerful thing you could possibly do for yourself and for the 2027 version of you is to pick the thing that she would be most afraid to do and make a decision to do it. It may have nothing to do with your business. It may have everything to do with your business. But the moment that you realize that the thing you fear is an illusion. For the most part, most fear is an illusion. It's just trying to keep us safe. You free up so much energy that right now, you don't even realize your whole internal system is just trying to manage that fear. And when you free that energy up, you free up more money, you free up more physical energy for your body, you free up healing energy, you free up everything that is going to carry over the finish line to being and having and doing the things that are in your vision. And I don't want to overcomplicate it. It really is that simple. So calling your shot looks like not just setting a goal. Calling your shot is making a decision. The decision is something that is going to be slightly outside the realm of what you can see and control. You're not going to fully know how to get all the way there. That's a little bit of the energetic difference between a goal and an actual expansion decision. And then in my experience, I have always quit on myself if I wasn't invested in something that was holding me to that decision. So signing up for the race, hiring the mentor, even, and I'll share with you, I really was intentional thinking about this year's Powerhouse Women event to create three levels at whatever level people are at to give you this opportunity to choose if you want to continue this journey with Powerhouse Women, if you want to use this as the thing that's holding you to the promise, starting with you can get your ticket for the 2027 event. We announced the dates to the women in the room at Powerhouse Women 2026. So August 6th, 7th and 8th, 2027 will be together. Natalie's going to put the link for that in the chat. So for just like a, I think we're only going to leave this open till maybe like September 1st. Right now, you have a chance to get your ticket to, and it's not this, this ticket is not for me. You are buying this ticket saying, "I am showing up in this room as a different version of me." That's this opportunity. And then we'll open tickets later. We usually do like a Black Friday launch. This will be the lowest price you'll get tickets. And this opportunity, this is you calling your shot to say, "I will be in the room." Then you're going to be going on a journey of stepping into that version of you. The next option is you can join us for a one-year mentorship called the upgrade. upgrade. So twice a week. will come together. If you feel, if you feel very challenged, if you feel very called up by these conversations, this is the type of conversation we have. We do live coaching, live hot seats, and we will do all of that within the upgrade plus a two-day in-person event in April, chance to come back together in-person to continue deepening this work. And we'll be sending all of this out via email, so you'll have a chance. And then I'll answer all the questions at the end. So I see a couple of questions in the chat. So that is an opportunity to work with us virtually as a group, come back together in-person halfway between this Powerhouse Women event and next year. So the retreat is in April, April 12th and 13th. And then you get your Powerhouse Women 20/27 ticket included with that. And then I knew that I really wanted an opportunity to go a lot deeper with women who are really at a point where you know that there are very few people in your life who totally see and call you out and up on exactly what's in your way. And so instead of the Expandors retreat this year, I'm hosting a mastermind for an entire year. It'll include the two retreats that normally would be the Expandors retreat. But I think the biggest differentiator of this is the one-on-one coaching. There's nowhere else that I do one-on-one coaching. And this is really for people who are ready. And it is uncomfortable. I can already tell the hesitation, those of you that are like, "Oh, the mastermind sounds good, but I don't know if I'm ready to be seen." And I just say this with so much love, you know, it really is the differentiator between spending another three to five years or being able to superspeed that in one year. The level that you're willing to just really be seen and loved exactly as you are, but also lovingly pointed out where you are getting in your own way. And for most of us who are really high achievers, no one is willing to to call us out like that. No one is really able to see where it's just in the nuances, you know, it's like even all of my most high-powered girlfriends. It's like exactly what makes them super high-powered once you really kind of get in there and you see like how someone operates. It's the very thing often that we're trying to protect most that is holding us back from our next level. So I don't want to pretend that that's not, that's just going to be like a sunshine and rainbows type of experience. It's going to be super potent and super powerful. And there will be days that you love me like you want to give me your firstborn child. And there will be days that you're like, why did I sign up for this? You know nothing about me. I hate your guts. And that's if I'm doing my job, it'll confront you that much because you need to be. You need to, there's a part of you that needs to be confronted if you're truly going to step into who you know you could become. And so we'll send out via email all the details on those three options. The truth is that for most of the community, if you make, I think this is true for everybody, if you make the decision to expand, you'll be presented by the thing with the thing that is your next step. So don't even worry about that. Don't even worry about like, gosh, is this right? Is this for me? You start to know when you're truly in the in the energy of decision. It's almost kind of like when the student is ready, the teacher appears. And so many of you said that even with the powerhouse women event, you were like, I don't know, like I wasn't even supposed to be there. And all of a sudden last minute, a ticket appeared and I just knew I was supposed to be. That is what it looks like. But there's often a threshold you have to cross over, especially if it's a bigger investment than you've ever made in yourself or if it's going to require you to just get out of again, out of this routine that you've kind of perfectly crafted for the current version of your life. And there's nothing wrong with the current version of your life. It's just you can't keep everything about the current version of your life and step into expansion. Something is going to shift. Things are going to change. It's going to feel uncomfortable. It's going to feel so worth it on the other side. But when you're in it, you'll start to notice your mind really coming to the table with every logical reason why not to. And that's okay. You just acknowledge that that is the part of you that feels really safe. Even if the current version of your life isn't one that you love, it's one that you know. And just consider that there's a lot of comfort in the known. Because even if we're like, I'm not totally happy with the way that my business is or I'm not totally happy with this. But at least I know how to handle this level of discontent. It requires us to really step beyond in order to create something new. And that process is one that is very difficult to do on your own. I've actually never met someone who actually transforms on their own. So start to look for, okay, who's the mentor that I feel called to? What community environment do I feel called to? Do I need more of a strategy coach? Do I need someone who knows a specific skill set that if I had that skill set, that would propel me to the next level? And just trust that like your, there's the part of you that knows. The logical mind is not usually that part. I always take her perspective into consideration always because she's usually trying to press the break on the things that sometimes if I'm too intuitive and emotionally motivated, I don't ground that decision with the awareness that there's going to be something more required of me. There's going to be more asked of me, right? So like when I invested in my first mastermind, I felt a pull toward it. But at the same time, I was like, let me ground this. Let me, let me ground this in creating an actual business plan. What are the pathways that I can see to 10X this investment? Because I just kept thinking to myself, if, if one year from now I looked back and said, oh, I 10X the amount I invested, I would be like, I'm so glad that I did that. But when I was sitting at the starting line about to invest, I was like, I don't know. I don't see how I could do that. So I took a pause, I sat down, I actually mapped out what are three different pathways that I could create an additional like six figure revenue stream that I don't even have now. And then I just set that aside. I was like, okay, as long as I can see, I'm being responsible with this investment because I know my intention going into it is expansion, meaning I can't totally see how this is going to play out. But I, I gave my logical mind three different options for ways that it could potentially turn into that, that investment that I looked back a year from then and said that was the best investment I ever made. We don't ever get a hundred percent certainty, but the logical mind just needs evidence, either that you can trust yourself with it because you've made investments before or you've made promises before that you kept or, you know, find expansion from others or sit down, make a plan. Like, what are you deciding you are creating out of this? You are creating the game and then whether it's, you know, the upgrade or any other program, the program itself is just creating the environment to keep expansion alive and help, you know, essentially collapse the time. So that is how I always recommend going into like making a decision like that. So here's what I'm going to do. You know, we're going to kind of complete the podcast part of this because I will stay on and I'll answer questions. I saw, I saw some great questions in the chat. So if you want to, we'll all answer some more questions about what the upgrade is, even just questions about like making the decision to invest in yourself because truly at the end of the day, I said this from stage. Number one, my goal whenever I'm offering anything. And this is even, even if you're not really feeling pulled to the upgrade, but you really want to become a little bit more confident in making offers in your business and in supporting people through that sales process, I feel like that, that's like a bonus reason just to even stay and like listen to how I present this because when you are presenting an offer that is fully embodied to you and you have no attachment to who joins and who doesn't, you're presenting it as an invitation for them to make the decision that's aligned for them. Then I know that my only job is to help people get to a clear yes or a clear no. So when people have questions, it just means they're in the middle and they're trying to probably wrestle with that the logical part of the mind that's like, what are the dates? What's the call format? All these things. Some of that is asking for certainty that I intentionally don't provide. I don't provide a whole syllabus. I don't provide a curriculum because this isn't the kind of program that requires a curriculum. You have the curriculum. Each of you individually have a curriculum that you are going to be essentially unfolding. When you make the decision, who are you going to be a year from now? This is we're going to work with the exact framework I laid out for you in these calls. Who do you want to be a year from now? What does she have? What does she do? Who is she being? Then we're going to start to in a very intentional way move into the next phase. Once you declare the desire, you declare the goal, you start to be mirrored with all of the ways that you're not currently set up. Either your internal architecture, your beliefs, your thoughts, your nervous system, your self-trust, all of those pieces, and then your outer architecture, which is your business actually set up to receive the amount of money that you say you want. Do you have systems in your business? Do you have the actual foundation for all these things that you say you want to land in your life, and feel okay to stay there, or is there a little bit of work to do and you're going to start to be mirrored all different ways. Some of you are already seeing seeing this in even just I've gotten some pretty cool messages from people who, you know, as they're making the decision to, you know, whether or not this is for them, being mirrored with money stuff, right? Realizing, oh, my pattern before would be to just put this on a credit card and then like not think about it and I'm being really convicted. There was one person who was like, I kept trying to do it and like credit card kept getting declined, right? Which just means that just means this is an invitation. Like again, everything is the upgrade. I promise you all the upgrade will work on you whether or not you join the upgrade. That's just if you're in my life and around me, you're being invited to upgrade all the time. And so that doesn't mean that the decision wasn't valid, but the decision now is asking for a different version of you. It's asking you to transform even in making the decision itself. So then if you can just step into the unknown and go, okay, I surrender this. I surrender that like I can, I can feel now I'm either trying to force it or I'm overly just saying like, well, I guess it wasn't meant to be. Be like, no, my decision was X. I'm getting kind of like resistance here. What is this asking me to discover? What is this asking me to dig deeper into? What is this asking me to rewire in my beliefs? So what the power of the upgrade is the conversations will give you insights into the things that you can't currently see in yourself. You have access to this all the time. Just most of us aren't trained to really dig deeper under the surface of what is actually going on. So you can shift it because the moment you shift it, you're never without that breakthrough. Like the moment I realized I could trust myself with the decision to make a big investment when it felt aligned and this one did. And then show up consistent with that with that decision. Trusting that it was going to probably happen in a way I couldn't predict. And it did. I 10X that first investment in a way I never could have predicted. But it didn't come until I had consistently put in day after day, month after month, I was showing up consistent with the version of me who made that investment, who was showing up differently. I was taking bolder actions in every micro moment where I had a chance to default to my old way of doing things. I chose to be new. And again, I wish I was like, maybe I should have given them more content in this series. But I would be over complicating a very simple process that we wish there were more steps only because the part of us that knows this is the truth knows that if she can distract you for longer by having you do more mindset worker, you know, another framework or this or that, you wouldn't actually do the thing. The one thing that transforms your life, which is taking the scary uncomfortable step in the direction of the person you say you want to be. And you know, you can do that without a program that has nothing to do with the upgrade. But for those of you that are feeling pulled like I know I would have such, I know I could transform really quickly. If I'm in a conversation like this, two times every single month with enough time in between to really integrate really hone into like, what is it that I'm being asked to do? You get to go into your life and put it into work and then you come back and we course correct.

Podcast Summary

Key Points:

  1. The speaker discusses "calling your shot" as a decision, not just a goal, which forces personal expansion by stepping into the unknown and becoming a new version of oneself.
  2. Growth is incremental and controllable, while expansion requires surrendering control of the timeline and pathway, often involving intense internal resistance and facing deep insecurities.
  3. The speaker shares her experience before the Powerhouse Women event, where she faced overwhelming self-criticism but met it by saying "I hear you, I'm still going to make this move," leading to a breakthrough and emotional freedom.
  4. The "cute quit" is a subtle form of self-sabotage where logic masks fear, causing people to settle for 70% effort when they could achieve 100%.
  5. Making a decision to expand often requires an investment—whether financial, public commitment, or accountability—to hold oneself to the promise, as seen in examples like signing up for a marathon or hiring a mentor.
  6. The speaker introduces two mentorship offerings
  7. Logic needs proof, so grounding decisions with evidence (e.g., past successes or a business plan) can help trust oneself with stretchy investments.
  8. The process involves identifying the gap between the current self and the future self (2026 vs. 2027), then committing to becoming that person, even without knowing all the steps.

Summary:

FAQs

Calling your shot is making a decision to achieve something that stretches you beyond your current growth trajectory, not just setting a goal. It requires committing to becoming the person who can have that result, even when the path is unknown.

A goal carries the energy of 'I would like to have that,' while calling your shot is a decision to have it, which includes deciding to become the person who can hold it. Goals motivate, but decisions carry the power of your future self and hold you accountable.

The cute quit is when you stop pursuing your goal right at the point of transformation, but your quit sounds logical or strategic, like 'this isn't a good season' or 'I've done enough.' It's fear disguised as logic, and it often happens just before a breakthrough.

Instead of waiting for fear to go away, acknowledge it and choose to move forward anyway. You can say, 'I hear you, and I'm still going to make this move,' which helps you meet the intensity of fear and realize it's an illusion.

Growth is incremental and stays within what you can control and see, while expansion involves stepping beyond logic and into the unknown, where you can't predict every step. Expansion requires a decision to become a new version of yourself.

You might feel restlessness or resistance that only comes when you know you're ready for more. Assess if you're in a season of integration, linear growth, or ready for expansion, and consider what vision or goal would force you to step into the woman you're meant to become.
