Calling a Listener in Africa

The podcast opens with a heated exchange over a brand deal negotiation involving Natalie, who demands significantly higher fees than the group, sparking frustration and accusations of poor business ethics. The team then shifts to a joyful reflection on their experience at the premiere of *The Odyssey*, praising it as one of the best films ever made, particularly highlighting Matt Damon’s grounded performance and the immersive IMAX experience. A humorous anecdote follows about a seat-giving mishap where friends end up in the wrong rows, leading to a mix of frustration and laughter. The group also revisits a moment in a vlog about a Microsoft meeting, initially criticized as cringy but later celebrated as a standout by a viewer, revealing a deeper appreciation for authentic, unpolished content. They also share a meaningful interaction with a listener from Kenya, Alvin, who offers cultural insights and is invited to a future visit in exchange for a laptop from Microsoft. The discussion turns to 11 Miami, a strip club with a growing apartment complex, where the hosts humorously celebrate its benefits, such as massage access, while expressing caution about the lifestyle. The episode concludes with excitement for an upcoming birthday party, featuring pre-confirmed sponsors and strong team energy, while inviting listeners to share feedback on vlogs and memorable moments.

What's up guys, welcome back to VIEWS! We are back with another episode. Big day today, we're recording on the day that we saw the Odyssey. A lot happened today. Crazy weekend. Crazy fucking weekend. Natalie, listen, David, today, you know I always take Natalie's side? Today, I'm on your side. Fuck Natalie. I got a story. Fuck that, I don't even need to hear it. You're right. Okay, let's move on. She shouldn't have done that. Yeah, I won't tell it that. She's a monster. No, it'd be a waste of time just to even glorify her by saying her name on this podcast. Right, right, right, right. No, she's wrong, you're right. Thank you. Fuck yeah. Do you enjoy the movie? Wait, what'd I do? No, I'm kidding. Alright, go. There was this thing that came across our desk. Oh yeah. It was like a possible brand deal. Oh God. Okay? Yes. So, you're not involved with it. I'm sitting up for this shit. Let me get pissed off already. Go ahead, Jay. Okay. Natalie and brand deals. I go. Two things that shouldn't be happening. I text Nat. I go, how much? Thinking like, oh, she's like manager. She's in the fucking. Oh, this is different. She's wheeling and dealing all the time. Yeah. So I go, how much should I charge for this? Oh, okay. Like that. Yeah. And she goes, I don't know, a thousand? And I go, a thousand? Like you were funded. You were funded. Yeah. I'm like, a thousand. I'm like, what am I doing? I'm a thousand. I can't do it for a thousand. I mean, like, I can't do that. You know? Okay. So I go, I don't know. It's like the easiest thing in the world to do. Anyways, continue. I go, I don't know. I was thinking like 2,500. Like minimum. Right. Okay. Right? And she goes, okay. Yeah. If you think you want to do that, then go do that. And I go, okay. So we're on the chain. Me and Nat are on the chain. Yeah. I write back first. I'm a fucking idiot. Like a fucking idiot. I know where this is going. I write back first. Wow. 2,500. Yeah. Right? Dave, 90 seconds later, another email comes in. Natalie's rates come in. Nat wants 6K. I go, wait a minute. Oh, for her? Yeah, for her. I go, 6K? Okay, fine. Nat can get 6K. Tell me I can get four. I was, double? More than double? Yeah, almost triple. Yeah. Damn. I couldn't believe it. I was like, God damn it. Oh, wow. She was like, yeah, you're, she was doing the math in her head, and she's like, Jason is three times less than me of a human. Yeah. That's Natalie. What kind of management skills is that? First of all. Wait, wait, wait. So did you guys land it? Well, it was too late for me to, I was like, well, wait a minute. Actually. It's for all of us. It's through the podcast. It's a brand deal. I don't even know if I want to say. Don't say what it is. Okay. Wait, I'm so confused. For each of us to make, it's like the same post, but we each have to post it, essentially. Oh, so you'd get paid $2,500, Natalie wanted $6,500, and then you also send my rates. Yeah. Yeah. I don't, I didn't see your rates. Yeah. Okay. And thank God you didn't. Probably couldn't fit on the page. But, yeah. That is really funny. That is so funny to me. I was like, and then, and then I wanted to be like. But she didn't fuck up your negotiations, so I'm confused why you're angry. Because I went to her initially to be like. She just, she just sold you low. That's it. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. But you're still like in the running for like the money, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's not that, it's not that big of a deal, but it's just like, I was like, oh damn, I should have fucking asked for more. But like, when they look at your page versus my page, like I, it's just, it's a little different. But I looked, I looked at, I looked at. Oh my God. I looked at. Oh, you, Mr. Fucking Million, Multi-Multi-Millionaire. When you look at my page, it's just different. I mean, it is, it's different. I looked at your page. It's not that different. Wait, why? I'm active on it. Yes. Yeah, can we stop with the being active on it thing? But anyways, in the future, gas me up a little bit. He has two views on his thing and he's like, I want 2,500. I'm like, they're not going to pay you 2,500. Okay, you're confusing people because the way this is coming off is, it seems like you're talking about like a main social media page. Right. And it's not. But still. That's why you sound triple mean, what you're saying, Natalie. Because you're basically, like in my head. Yeah, yeah, yeah. In my head, you're like, I looked at his Instagram and it's shit. Like, that's not what you guys are talking about. But I would. Your argument actually makes sense, Natalie, if people knew the platform you're talking about. Sure. Yeah. I mean. But still, fuck you. I'm not, not to like double down on being a bitch here, but like people's platforms are priced differently. That's just the way the cookie crumbles. Yeah, yeah. That's fine. Whatever. Sorry, Jay. Guys, so. Fuck you, guys. Change the subject here because it's really awkward. Is it? I don't think it's awkward. It's not awkward. No, I'm kidding. I've learned to just not be awkward. Nothing's awkward. You're actually like one of the most awkward people of all time. But I'm not awkward. You have not learned that. I'm not awkward when it comes to confrontation. Sorry, can I ask why you're yelling? You are. Can I ask why you're yelling? He's upset about the money. You've been yelling like really loud. And I hate to be that guy. I just woke up from a nap. I just. Oh, oh. It's just coming here quick. Oh, sorry, little baby. Sorry, sorry, sorry. Sorry, let's take it down a notch for you. Thank you. You're just screaming. I don't know. I fuck with it. Listen, I'm pissed at Natalie too. Good. I fucking, I am totally on your side. Good, thank you. You better keep being pissed. I understand why you're screaming, but I guess I just deal with it a lot. Stay mad, hoes. Stay mad. Okay, whatever. I hope you lose that job. I surprised, so a year ago, which time flies, a year ago, four days ago, July 17th, a year ago, I bought Jason tickets to Odyssey. Yes. Which is crazy. I was like up at like 6 a.m. or whenever they went on sale, and I bought them, and I gave them the tickets. I went with him. I was sitting right in your area, but on the other side of the theater, and they were so fucking, the tickets were so bad, I had to leave. Did two people sit next to you, by the way? Oh, that was a whole mishigas. Oh my God. What happened? I don't know what you did. You gave my seats away to somebody? That was crazy. Okay, so yeah. Wait, what? So we were at the Odyssey. It was like the first screening of it, whatever. You guys went last night to go watch. Last night. Oh, you weren't there? No. No, Natalie didn't go. Did you go today? Yeah. Oh. Okay, and then instead of last night, we went, we woke up at 6 in the morning. I woke up at 5.30 this morning. That's crazy. Crazy. Because Avengers Doomsday tickets went on sale at 6 a.m. Okay. So I woke up at 5.30, and then I was on my phone for like 45 minutes in a queue to buy Avengers tickets. Wow. It was like 45 minutes to hour queues. I got it right away. I got the Doomsday tickets. I got great seats. I'm super excited. I'm good. In December, I will be so ready to watch this movie. Then our showtime started at 7 a.m., so we got there at like 6.55. I've never watched a movie in my life, I think before noon. I mean, I didn't even know that movie theater offered a 7 a.m. showtime. Like, that's fucking absurd. They were serving muffins. They had popcorn, and they had breakfast, which is very fitting. And the theater was full. Really? Oh, yeah. It was packed. Completely full. Completely full. Crazy. Yeah. Oh, the movie's that good. It is. Yeah, the movie's actually that good. But also, we went to the Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard, which is like 500 seats in that theater. It was like no joke. Yeah. No, it's massive. And no air conditioning. And every seat was full. I mean- And no air conditioning, yeah. To what you were saying about how good the movie was, Christopher Nolan's movies really do feel like, people have said this before, they're like events rather than like movies, and it really does feel like- I thought it was one of the best movies, top 10 movies I've ever seen in my entire life. Really? I loved it. And I'm not even like a, you know, that type of guy. No, it's incredible. Yeah, it's incredible. Well, Matt Damon's incredible. He's incredible. You know what's nice about Matt Damon? He plays like, you just want to root for him because he's humble. Yeah. He's so humble. So good. Like, I kept thinking about other actors that could have been in that spot, and I was like, nobody. No. Nobody. In Interstellar, Matt Damon plays like an asshole for the first time. Yeah. And even that- Is like, pretty well grounded. He's really good at like just, he's really good at playing the everyday guy. He's really good at it. Did you see that like, that meme? It's like Hollywood spent like over a billion dollars trying to get Matt Damon home? No. Oh yeah, I saw this. Yeah. It's like, Saving Private Ryan, Interstellar, now Odyssey, The Martian. All of these premises are Matt Damon can't get home. Oh wow, wow. That's crazy. It's really crazy. It's like a serious type of like, typecast. Yeah. So- You went into the theater, and you just said no to these seats? Well, I sat down, they played like a little Dune trailer. Saw that. And I could not watch the Dune thing. I was like, I'm so, I, we were on the side, and we were fifth row, at an IMAX 70 millimeter screening. This screen is, I don't know what, three, five stories tall? It's fucking huge. The screen is ginormous. Yeah. And we were four screens away, so I was like, I gotta go. On my way out, I ran into these two guys who were talking to the usher, because I was going to go to the usher, and I was going to be like, hey, is it- Can we stand here, and just wait for seats, if there are some open? And he ultimately told me that, like, there's no chance that there's going to be any open, just because it's like a sold out show, and everyone's been anticipating it. But they were talking to the usher right before me, and they were like, are we in the right theater? And they had tickets to theater two, or three, that didn't have the IMAX screen. It was like a small screen. I was like, oh, I have two extra tickets. All right. Because by you, I had four tickets. Right. Okay? Yeah. And I was like, but my friend's going to be sitting in the seats I'm about to give you. So you have to sit right next to him. Yeah. Because these two are his, and this is the only screenshot I have. But I have four tickets. it's there yeah but i only have a screenshot of the two so you were like in jane 819 81820 yeah and they were in 21 f18 and f19 yeah and they were in f20 so then they got there what happened well these motherfuckers i i got there and i was like uh you guys are in my seats and they're like oh no no no no your friend gave us these seats and i was like what and and you you are so flippant when whenever i talk to you you like you never take like an extra and you know i'm old like take a fucking extra second with me because i saw you outside you're you i thought you were already you were so pissed off you didn't have seats and i was texting you and you were sending me angry texts because all i was asking was like where's the qr code you never sent me that i'm thinking we need a qr code i don't have a qr code okay you never had one so anyways i got in and i see him you're like okay we're probably gonna leave whatever i gave two seats away come on okay let's go and i'm just like all right i don't sound like this guys but i think this is how i come up no you definitely sound like that and so then i wasn't even there i'm all excited i'm so happy and i'm like you guys are in my seats they're like no your friend gave us these seats fuck and nivine was like all right well i'm so clear nivine goes nivine goes david said to sit next to them so i go okay so i sit two seats closer to the screen so now i'm excited i'm two people come and take those seats they're like we're in 16 and 17 no you're you were on the end the last i'm on the end yeah well those two guys should have been on the end because i watched the movie with a fucking cranked neck like oh no they were two inwards yeah two more are further out and poor nivine couldn't even see hey no good deed yeah no good deed but it was nice to get in the seats but but i just thought the movie was also am i crazy but do i not get the 70 millimeter thing i don't really get it i don't actually get it well i don't get it i don't get it well there's imax yeah and then there's also 70 millimeter yeah oh and you could you could see it in both what's your take on 4d 4d what's it called it's called four yeah 4dx 4dx have you ever done that no uh yeah like like a theme park probably for like a 10 minute like episode or something okay am i am i being tricked online or does wind actually blow yeah wind and water squirts at you what yeah no it doesn't yeah in the in the movie you wear a poncho no no it's like it's like mist yeah yeah yeah or if it's like a splash then it'll probably be like what movie did you see a 4dx shrek something shrek you saw shrek and 4dx shrek like at disney something like that there was like a shrek thing and it was in a 4dx theater at disney world oh like a short yeah it's like a 15 like a full movie no no no i wouldn't go see a full movie that's only fun if you're like with your friends and you want to go see a throwaway movie obviously it's not like a that's but but with all the boat scenes that they say people are going insane oh really yeah that people are like getting rocked around and screaming and laughing that should be kind of like i think it's kind of fun i fucking no i can't do that i don't know god you're just a killer of fun what i have such a good time i literally i had such a great time watching the movie today um but yeah it was um it was so good i do highly highly highly recommend going to see the movie oh yeah you don't care about like the like war or gladiator-esque things no and even if you haven't read the book yeah yeah even if you don't know what's going on so good and what a weekend i had a great day yesterday i got to watch world cup got to talk to your friend tanya oh yeah first of all i beat you in pool the world cup has just fucked me everywhere every you know every bet i've made i've lost i know man i don't know what's going on with you i've i've made something happen well why would you choose argentina like spain was favored i think i told him no no no i chose argentina just because argentina's just been fucking clawing at me every every bet i have they're like they fuck me they're on the other on the other end of it so you were betting against argentina so this time i'm like i'm gonna join them you're a real fair weather guy i'm super yeah and and i'm so i've lost every bet i have made seven bets during the world cup every single bet has gone the opposite way every bet even when i bet argentina i was like every i told my friends as a guy so you guys got to put money on spain yeah like there's no chance they're not gonna win i just put money on argentina um yeah i'm fucking awful at it i really fell in love with soccer this year really yeah i've never watched it before not my life i can't get into it man really yeah i really really found it i was like wow i get it i get it now it's it took me so many years but the actual it's just a different vibe it's just on a different frequency than any other sport you just got to get to that frequency i think i think i like it in terms it's yeah it's like having a beer and hanging out watching it it's kind of the vibe it is a different frequency i just don't like betting and watching it it's some of the most like yeah it pisses me like basketball when you're watching you're betting on basketball it's like fuck yeah like it's fast it's moving let's go okay momentum but like soccer it's like nobody scores a goal for fucking 80 minutes yeah and then one person scores a goal and then that means that the other team completely changes their whole fucking lineup got more offenders on the offensive people on the field and then they score a goal then everything unravels in 15 minutes of the game like i hate that i hate sitting there 80 minutes just sweating it seemed to be a very fouly sport too yeah everyone's like over act like i think it's part of it right drawing i think it's part of the game cards and that part i don't like and i was i really wanted to see penalty kicks but we didn't i really wanted so excited for that i was like oh man you sound like you just got to earth so i posted the work vlog yeah the comments are in this is someone's commented this now that we are a few vlogs in the man is really the goat at vlogging you're the only youtuber who i still actively watch and i love this new style i love this vlog style please continue this is the best video in a while amazing pacing great humor plenty of personality all while maintaining a professional angle and then someone said this is the best vlog of david's career wow i know these aren't like crazy i know this is the new york times reporting on this but like i do i think comments are important i was shocked that's great why are you shocked well i was shocked and then i realized like oh right like i am like really dumb when it because you know how i like kept making the videos more like i like to make the edits it was like when we were in the philippines and i was making like the edits like i'm trying to make the edits like more fun and cool music and like pretty stuff and people are like this is not what we like we like when you're just hanging out right like i can't wrap my head around that because that's not creatively fun for me anymore because there's no edit there it's just like oh yeah we're just hanging out like you really want to watch that shit and i've been doing it but it's my whole thing it's like when you've been doing something for so long that you like become like jaded by it and you get really hipster it's like when a fucking artist is making music is really pop poppy and then all of a sudden they have like this weird slow down like jazz album yeah i feel like that's where i was going with the videos in an opposite way but then like and now i've like really fully realized like ferris watched it he's like no no this is like exactly what every video should be like before we uploaded it and i was like really and he's like yes this is exactly it and i'm like oh i actually have absolutely no idea what you're talking about no idea of how to make these videos interesting so i was like okay did natalie help with that too no no of course oh of course come on um you know somebody sorry not to get off track but uh somebody said to me you were saying you're saying you're speaking so nicely taylor i think like wasn't here all day yeah and then he saw taylor and he was just like tay how are you doing ethan said that our editor oh yeah our editor yeah and then and then the why doesn't he ever talk to you like that and i said you know what ethan that's a great point and he was like no he didn't say that but he was just saying like he's he's only like that with taylor hey remember that note i gave you what note the the the note about the microsoft scene oh my god yeah oh my god okay so if you watch the vlog if you watch the vlog there's this moment wait maybe don't tell the moment see if they can pick it out we have to what do you mean we're just gonna keep him on edge for this there was a moment in this in the vlog that i told david i didn't like well no you have to tell them the moment the moment was where we were done with our microsoft meeting and i'm like let's just and i'm like the meeting went well let's just say they're naming a computer after me the dough brick and and jason's like we watched the whole vlog and jason's first note was like i didn't like what you said after you had the microsoft meeting and i'm like well we just need something you're looking for things to cut yeah but you're at 19 minutes and i said why don't you cut that i was like we need we need to like close that segment off like we need to like put a bow on the microsoft thing and then he's like i just think it was cringy and i'm like cringy i got so mad because and i'm like the whole vlog's fucking cringy jay it's a business vlog like it's it's we need we need to have like a front middle and an end and he's like i just think you're better than that that's what he said i was like fuck you i said i said yeah you're funnier than that they keep the things that where you're being really funny i didn't find that joke to be but but i tried it's funny i'm like i'm like that's not a funny joke no yeah like it's i know i don't think i know you don't think it's funny but i don't think i'm trying to sell anybody on the fact that it's a funny joke that's why i was confused with your note because i was like yeah it's not funny i'm just like saying things to wrap it up it's almost as if i was like we're done with microsoft bye like it's that i would have Or not. Yeah. Well, I don't know. You thought it was really crazy. Maybe the remaining computer aftermath. that part it was and then and I think I even said like people kept pressing me on it and I was like yeah I just see it and I just go ugh and that's funny and then Joe Vulpes came and watched it what did he say and we told him we were like we were like what do you think of this part yeah because we wanted to give his opinion I love it and he goes that's actually one of my favorite parts I'm not even kidding I'm being completely that you know it's bad we broke into laughter we all erupted into laughter it was so funny I was like of course that's the one you love yeah and Naveen broke it down to me I was like man I felt really bad I said that and I made him I hurt his feelings you didn't hurt my feelings okay okay that's not why I was mad okay okay I was mad because well maybe if I did a little bit no okay go ahead when have when has he has no feelings when have you ever been like this joke's not funny and like I'm sad about it like I want the video to do well I don't care if you're like David you're not funny at all put 100% Zayn in it like I don't I don't have any I know yeah I know I know that but this video was all of it was like a 6 out of 10 in humor and it was just like sure it was a vlog yeah I thought there were a lot of funny moments in the vlog I thought you particularly were very funny sorry give me a hand Naveen broke it down no and then Naveen was like yeah you really you were really kind of mean and like you like shouldn't talk to him like that he's like what did she say he's an Aries or whatever the fucking sign you are and and I go you should see the way he talks to me like that and she goes yes but he doesn't mean it oh my god he's he's messing with you all the things that he says he doesn't mean any of those things he's being trying to be funny he's just getting under your goat and I was I had this whole realization I was like I was like oh I was like right I was like I meant it I hated that clip and he's just like yeah that's really funny yeah no it was really weird it was like I've never seen anything like I've never seen you give a note like that and I've never seen you I don't understand why you don't understand the note the note is like I'm so used to like oh it's just just the funniest stuff just the funniest stuff that's all but it was just to get us out of there totally like there's a lot of moments there that weren't that funny sure well I think you're changing the way you're doing the videos which is good and I'm making it more cringy yeah everybody go watch the video and tell me if you think that moment was cringe or not so leave a comment I'm so curious please I'd love to see if anybody is like yeah I was going to say this are you Joe Volpis or are you Jason no but yeah people are like I want more videos like this so I don't know what that necessarily means yeah I don't really know either but doing you doing your life that's what people like that's what they've been telling you for months I wonder also if he doesn't hear me no no I hear you yeah they've been telling you that for months but I'm saying I wonder if also people liked it because I undersold it because I was like this is a business vlog you didn't really yeah I did that's why I said it so like people would not expect a really fun vlog and then they're pleasantly surprised so I wonder if that had anything to do with it maybe I don't know I also think it was just really fun like we were moving we were grooving we were wheeling and dealing you know yeah but that's still that is still an expensive vlog to make like I know the title is I have the title for a second was how I made a million dollars in a week but like pretty sure I lost money that week with all the traveling how to make a million dollars and in parentheses and spend a million dollars spend 1.5 we were trying like different thumbnails it's really there's a I've talked about this before there's like a software on YouTube now that allows you to test three different thumbnails and YouTube like runs them against each other and like I've been people have been telling me to do thumbnail or to do titles like one guy had an idea for a title was like step one get really drunk with a Mexican family step two give them $10,000 as the title of the video oh that's really interesting interesting you'd be able to click on that would you click on that Nat? I don't know we have this friend who's like really tapped in to like everyone's social medias like he like studies Eric Mr. Beast like super tapped in like like an expensive guy if you were to hire him like knows all the backend stuff and he's like I had a friend who also like does this stuff look into all your analytics on the backend and it doesn't match anything that's any other of any of these YouTubers because you have such a different relationship with your audience right than these other YouTubers have like the titles will not work for you that are like an Eric or Mr. Beast those will never work for you yours are like way more parasocial like people want to be there to see what you guys are doing and that's it they don't care about what the like titling a million dollars spent on private jet blah blah blah like won't work which is really I guess we have seen that which is really interesting yeah and then Ferris changed the thumbnail to how I made money and it's this horrible shot of me how I make money have you seen it? yeah it's just me holding money yep and like it's kind of blurry it's kind of blurry you can see my eyes but it's doing it's like a two three out of ten thumbnail for us right now great which is crazy and it's a horrible thumbnail and Ferris Ferris again is like you guys gotta listen to me and I was like okay but I could see if that came up in my recommended that would stick out to me yeah as opposed to what I'm seeing on my recommended really? yeah because it actually came up for me on one of a new channel that I have and it stuck out I was like oh oh that's interesting yeah it really stuck out I bet I was gonna say I bet this family ten thousand dollars for the world cup like that's the kind of stuff I would say but I don't know also ten thousand dollars in YouTube world is like it's like five dollars now which is so unfortunate the way the fucking people title these videos can't you can't you just drop that you've come you've earned that right what to make up money? no just like say a million dollars I'll just do your thing yeah yeah no no no I know I know I think I overthink the thumbnails I think I overthink everything I think I'm just honestly going to stop editing these videos like actually I know I know I've been saying that I'm going to but um great dude guess what comes in today what? sorry that sounded like you edited it really bad but that was actually me switching gears um today's sponsor is sorry I fucked up um today what comes in my new painting from Elizabeth Langrider are you laughing at how many I've had if I was in a coma for ten years and the first thing I did was come out and listen to a views episode and I was like I can't wait to hear of David on views and you said that I'd be like oh fuck he grew up yeah that does suck my bad my bad my bad I'm getting a new that's okay I'm getting a new painting great I'm really excited for this one is it a birthday gift? no I bought it okay we went to Monaco that vlog's not out yet but Natalie posted a story and the story is of F1 like our view of F1 we had a beautiful view of the cars yeah when they're driving by and Elizabeth took it and she made a painting out of it out of Natalie's Instagram story oh wow the view from the hotel room yeah oh wow really sick so I was like I really really want that so I think it comes in today and we're getting ready for the birthday party once again we're three days away from the party no performer shout out Natalie it's always that way though this is my favorite week of the year guys when David can I just say can I just say what you you're giving me shit but every time we have an event I'm like at the end of it I'm always like that was our last one right and then you go no for the next one we're gonna be well prepared we're already sending out decks every time every time I'm dead ass a week before the sponsors are being locked in and have every time they've been locked in every single time it's worked yes it's shocking but it is like literal hell week here and I don't know where this energy I don't know why you have to make it like a double hell week I don't know where the energy comes from the last week that everything gets done whereas like Natalie started like doing stuff for the birthday party like seven months ago but like it all actually comes together the final week I have no idea well why is that Nat? I don't know I mean even from my like when I started pitching it like six months ago honestly I got one like big brand that's like the biggest brand on the party yeah and the others are just like ongoing conversation I don't know I just like the week of we have some fun brands this year though yeah also like all the brands are already pre-locked the only thing that's like really hung I'm hung up on is the artist which is the hardest part of the entire party artist is so tough because the people we had originally locked in I feel the most prepared by the way for this one nice I feel really good about it oh okay the brands we have that I'm sponsoring is Cascades Tequila Snapchat okay which is sick okay that's a big deal that's a whole social media platform right right right and Carl's Jr. wow kind of lit yeah Carl's Jr. I've been wanting like a big fast food restaurant yeah this is gonna be kick ass and Celsius they have a little Celsius bar too and of course Celsius the goats yeah and guess who's coming your mom my mom is coming my teacher Mr. Killinger oh I know so excited to hear that how sick is that it's really cool I'll have somebody to talk to I like that I texted him and he was like there's no way I could swing this blah blah blah and then he texted me four days later and he's like alright I'm in wow I was like no way he says you only turn 30 once I said wow he goes and I don't get invited to so many parties except for four year old birthday parties see you soon buddy looking forward to it that's gonna be so fun that's like my favorite that's like my favorite person that's like responded to the invite we got two cool emails if you wanna hear them somebody wrote from Kenya oh sick and someone gave you a critique of your vlogs if you wanna hear that I don't know if you're ready to hear that okay give me the Kenya first - Kenya? I sent it to you. - My name is Alvin. I'm from Nairobi, Kenya, and I'm most likely the number one listener of the pod here in Kenya. No, seriously, I'm so sure I am. That's really funny. I've heard in the last few pods that David and the gang are coming to Kenya, and I'd love to meet you guys if you're ever in Nairobi. Now, just to warn you guys, Kenyans are chronically online and do not like it when our country is misrepresented. There are a few controversies with some luxury hotels in the Masari Mara, so stay weary if you'll visit. Try as much as possible not to do what every famous white guy does, and try to come save the poor kids. You could do charity, of course, but be careful how you do it. Kenyans hate when only the poor sides of our country are showcased, and for the love of God, nobody says Jumbo or Hakuna Matata. That's like a really good email to prep you for Kenya. Yeah, that's really fun. Really good. Did you already know those things, Nat? I mean, I feel like it's pretty straightforward. You knew all those things? For sure. Okay, it's just good to keep in mind. But that's like even when we visited South Africa. Yeah. People are like, you know we're like a regular country. Yes. And even when you get there, you're kind of like, yeah. Yeah. Like, I know. You knew that. You're like world travel. No, but that was one of the first places I went to. Yeah. I don't know. I guess yes. If you live in the Midwest, you've never left, and you watch Blood Diamond, and you watch these movies, yeah, maybe it seems like the places that aren't as developed are really not as developed. But like, I don't know. I never. I never. I never thought that. Even when we did our South Africa vlog, like, it was very much like, we definitely showed how incredible it is if you're fucking the wealthiest. Yeah. And if you're just coming to visit, and in all ways, I think that's very important. Yeah. I don't know. But that is a good point for people listening, that like, all these countries that you think aren't as developed are definitely, yeah. Anyway. Okay. Nobody says hakuna matata. That is actually a surprise. Anyways, I'm currently in university and seeing that David is doing a partnership with Microsoft. I'd love a laptop. Wink. In case you guys want to call me for the pod. I love Natalie. Okay. Oh. Yeah, did you see that? No computer for him. What? He said, I love Natalie and I'm sad when she's not on the podcast. I love Natalie. I should appreciate her more. I hate when she's not in the pod. Oh my gosh. Say hi to John, Ilya, Alex, Julia, Naveen, Taylor, and of course, David fucking Dobrik. PSA, I most likely send this until you guys come. That's really sweet. Let's go. Should we call him? Sure. Hello? Alvin? Oh. Hakuna matata. Okay. Hakuna matata, Alvin. Can you hear me? I have to pinch myself. It's David, Jason, and Natalie. Hello. Oh my God. Hi, guys. Hi. Are you sleeping? What time is it there? It's just 3 a.m. in the morning. Oh, okay. So you just woke up. Kindly, yeah. Well, thank you for your really nice email. We're well-prepped to go to Kenya. How long have you been listening to the podcast? That's kind of crazy to have a listener from Kenya. Oh my God. For like six years. I think you stopped doing the podcast way back in 2022. Oh, wow. So before we even stopped, so like over five years? Yeah. Oh my gosh. That's crazy. And you were born and raised and you've always been in Kenya? Or you're from the States back to Kenya? What's the vibe? No, no, no. I'm born and raised in Kenya. Never been. Okay, I've been outside of Kenya, but born and raised in Kenya. Yeah. Holy shit. Wow. Wow. Well, we have your number now, so I don't know where we're going exactly in Kenya, but once we know, what? You're on the podcast right now. Oh, shit. I should have told you. You're on the podcast. Well, what do you mean? I thought he assumed that he's on the podcast. I don't know. I'm just making sure. Yeah, I assumed that. Well, listen, when we're going to come, I'm going to bring you a laptop from Microsoft, okay? That'll be my hello gift to you when I run into you. And if I don't see you, we'll send it over once we're there, but we'll bring you a laptop from the States. We'll bring it over. Okay. Thank you so much, Dave. Bye. We'll see you soon. Bye, Alvin. Bye. Love you. Bye. Love you, man. I love you, Natalie. I love you, Natalie. Oh, I love you, too. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Okay, that's enough, Alvin. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. All right. Bye, Alvin. Thank you. Oh. Wow. He's really- He sounds amazing. Yeah, he's really sweet. So chill. So chill. Not American. No, he's Kenyan for sure. Yeah. Definitely. Just like- Love you, Natalie. We're so hyped up here. It's disgusting. What do you mean? I don't know. Like we have so much energy? Yeah, we're so like, oh, I gotta do this. We woke him up. I know. I think so, too. We have so much energy. I'm sure he's got plenty of energy. I was gonna tell you that it was probably the middle of the night there, but then I really wanted him on the show. What time is it in Kenya? Oh, dude, it's 3 a.m. Oh, no. Oh, my God. Oh, my- You're like, so he just woke up. He's like, well, kinda. Was that rude? Rude? I mean- I think it's like equal. I definitely thought it. I definitely was like, this guy's asleep. But I didn't say it because I was like, I was being greedy. Oh, my God. Poor Alvin. You're not- Yeah, you're being greedy. I was like, I want this guy on the show. I want him to get a laptop. Yeah. I wanted you to make a connection with him, and you know, you did. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So he's happy. No, no, no, no. He's fine. I think it's fine. I don't think he's upset. No, he's not upset. But we should have better fun than that. He writes us another email. That was disgusting. That was fucked up. Natalie, you are no longer my favorite. I no longer love you. Sorry. I guess we should have checked the fucking time. Just assume, you know, Kenya. I feel like we're kind of aligned. Thought we were on the same time zone. Nope. Not at all. Hey, you've been to 11 in Miami, right? Yeah. Have I? Yeah. Yeah. Well, I saw a TikTok the other day. Very interesting TikTok. The guy gets on there. He goes, 11 in Miami is incredible. He goes, if you're a guy, he said, you've got to go to 11 in Miami. For your ego boost. Yes. You saw it? I just know it. I live it. Yeah, because he said, you're rejecting women at such a high rate, such beautiful women at such a high rate. That this gives you incredible confidence. And I never really saw that. It's, wait, what do you mean? Have you been to 11? I don't get an ego boost from telling somebody no. Have you been to 11? Yeah. It's like if you were a woman and you were on a construction site in the 1980s. Like it is like, but reversed. Every girl there is whistling, not whistling, but every girl there is like literally pulling at you. But does it give you a confidence boost? Like we all know that we're under the guise of. These women are trying to make money. I don't think it matters. I think, I think yes. It does give you a confidence boost. I think it does. Like I'm trying to think if like high school David went there. Uh-huh. Like what that would do for me. Oh, yeah, yeah. I mean, I don't, I don't know how much it would boost my confidence. It would definitely have me think about moving there. So guys, 11 is a strip club in Miami and it's, it has more strippers than it has, not really, than it has people. It has so many strippers that it's like you're walking around and it's like one in three, four people is a stripper and they're all trying to get you to get a lap dance, take you to a private room, whatever. It is truly, truly Disney world for adults. It's fucking, if you like strip clubs, also, if you don't like strip clubs, this is the strip club for you. Yeah, that's true. It's really, it's like, I don't know, Natalie. It's not super strippery. There's one stripper pole in the middle. And the rest is like, just, you're at your table. I mean, I'm like the biggest 11 advocate. You know, Natalie gets free tables there for life. Yeah. We've talked about this. Yeah. Pretty fucking great. For life? For life. For life. How much is a table? A couple thousand. A couple thousand. And across the street now, Jay, they're building 11 apartments. Guess who's getting one? You know how fucking crazy that is? I thought only Equinox was doing that. Do you know how fucking dangerous that is? To live across a strip club? Hang on, man. You can't, you can't go live at 11 apartments. Nobody, that's a bad idea. That's a bad look for any guy. I don't know. I love the club so much, I bought a condo. Like, what? I mean, that's- What do you get with 11 apartments? You can probably get- Access, underground tunnels straight to the club. Straight to the club. Is the doorman a girl with a big chest? I'm sure you can have like, like, like private parties where like strippers come to your room and stuff. Like, it's probably pretty crazy. Look it up. Look it up. They're not done yet. They're not going to advertise that either, probably. It's probably like a low-key undercover thing. No, it's going to be, it's really- How does Dave know about it? No, I'm saying like the bonuses of strippers coming to your room. They're not going to be like, we also give you free strippers. There must be some kind of perk that they offer. Massage or something. You think it's just like strippers on- Oh, yes, for sure you can get massages. Strippers on demand? Like, that sort of, that's what you think is happening there? I think that it's probably like a massage. That is actually the best part of 11, because I am not like a lap dance in public kind of guy, but getting a massage is the easiest to get at a strip club. Because when you're at a regular massage parlor and you're getting a massage, you feel kind of weird, or at least I do. But when I'm at a strip club getting a massage, I feel like I'm being the most polite at the strip club, and I actually like it. I'm like, oh, this is not what everyone else is doing. I'm taking a step down. So I do highly recommend getting your massages done at that level. They are really incredible, yeah. Oh, yeah, happy endings for every tenant. No, they do not say that. That's not fucking possible. You get a state-of-the-art fitness center, yoga studio, meditation room, temperature control, plunge pools, and you get access to the- The 20,000-square-foot, 11-floor day club, casino-style sports lounge, and 11 beach club. Yeah, I think you just like- don't have to wait in the lines and stuff but that place is gonna be it's gonna be fucking insanity yeah i genuinely may move there i mean i'm down that's why i hate going to miami i hate going you know one of the best thing that's happened to me in miami was we were at 11 it was 3 a.m i'm like i gotta get the fuck out of here obviously i can't leave because my because 11's incredible yeah and i got a call that um there were like people outside like trying to break into our house yes i was like in la in la and i walked outside and i was like on the phone with ilia i was like thank god you called thank god those people were outside the house because i was gonna stay at 11 till 6 in the morning that's what it takes to get me out it's fucking a home invasion how was the uh doomsday trailer it was good didn't that come out today i heard someone talking shit about it what the fuck yeah it's okay it's just it's tough okay yeah okay oh okay oh okay dave's gonna get real right now it's it's it's just a lot of it's this was the tone of the guy that i saw talking shit about it he was like stuff it's it's here's the thing i think everyone's on the same page okay the mark the people that create it the people like nothing is going to be the original avengers okay nothing will beat the feeling of seeing tony stark black widow the hulk um thor hawkeye dr strange david dobrik john castro have you seen those edits on tiktok that it's like that it's like see if you can uh i put a photo of me in between all these models see if you can notice there was so it'll be like 10 photos and it's a swipe yeah and it'll be all like two super sexy models and one photo will just be like a picture of a regular dude i saw one today that was really funny it was like let me know if you could find um charles leclerc and and this group of models and your swipe and it's like it's just showing pictures not swiping it's a video and it shows a model shows another model shows another model and then it goes 10 9 8 it's a 27 second it's a 27 second countdown that's 10 seconds long it's a 10 second countdown that's 27 seconds long just to show a picture of charles leclerc and then it goes back to the models i thought it was really really funny um yes so okay back to the avengers thing nothing it's it's nothing's ever going to beat the original avengers so like i'm watching this trailer and it's a lot of the new characters yeah and it's and the originals are the original people are dead so it's like i'm a little worried but i know everybody that works on these movies knows that everybody knows that tony stark and the original avengers are fucking the goats yeah and i just feel like i haven't gotten to spend as much time with these new characters that i'm seeing yeah in this new avengers movie where i'm sinking my teeth into it as much as i was originally with the original got it yeah that's what the guy said he's like i don't care about these characters it's not that you don't care he's like and they're they're they're like keeping uh dr doom uh kind of under wraps and and no one no one cares that much about dr doom that's what he said but i i think dr doom sounds like a cool character wait really i think the said dr doom sounds like so fucking lame his name is victor von doom this is a comic book now that we're talking about this is comic book but i remember dr doom in the comic books and he was kind of cool his name is dr doom in a comic book that is like that is like the apex predator you know to have a character named dr what i think is really goofy but i'm sure this is like to help sell tickets was why they revealed robert downey as dr doom why haven't they why didn't they do it in a film why didn't they do it in a film one like why didn't they do it at the they did it at comic-con where he just took his mask off right obviously that was for a reason maybe there was there could have been an outside threat that was going to leak him as it you know there could have been any any number of reasons why they had to do that no that's i i don't know maybe why didn't they do a movie bums me out and two imagine how cool it would be if you're watching doom and you have no idea it's robert downey the entire time and then like that's the reveal in the theater and when does the movie come out december like christmas december 18th i'm so excited that's nice to be invited to any premiere this is this is the one this would be and now that i'm vlogging i'm so and now that i'm vlogging the way i'm vlogging yeah this would be like the perfect thing for me to go vlog i'd be so excited so excited to be there um yeah texting marvel would love to attend the premiere um but yeah no i i am excited oh sorry this is what they said the the guys the guys that made infinity war and endgame the russo brothers are making this one yeah and the way they've been talking about in the cast has been talking about it is similar like in infinity war they killed all the superheroes yeah they're taking another big swing at something just as crazy in this okay and that that doesn't mean at all that they're going to kill that they're going to do the same half of the heroes are dead and then the next movie right but like they're doing something that's bold again and i think that's really exciting yeah yeah yeah i like new stuff and i i don't know i love the russo brothers and robert downey yeah would not come back and i don't know i don't know i don't know just for a paycheck i just don't believe that i think that i think what they did with infinity war and endgame is so fucking incredible that i don't think they would touch this movie unless they had a really good idea for it right and i think that's what that's what they said like we had a really good idea that's why we wanted to come back wow nice fuck yeah so that'll be exciting but guys listen that's all the time we have for today's podcast um let me know what you guys think about the new vlogs let me know what you guys want to see more of in the vlogs and um just uh just tell just tell us thanks we like reading your comments yeah just let us know go find that cringy moment in david's last video oh yeah yeah yeah let me know about that please okay guys we'll see you soon bye

The host expressed frustration at the discrepancy and the lack of transparency in the negotiation process.

The host felt the pricing was unreasonable, especially since Natalie, who was involved in the negotiation, was charging significantly more than the initial offer. The host believed the difference was excessive and questioned the fairness, especially when comparing their own rate to Natalie’s, which seemed inconsistent with standard industry practices.

The group described the movie as one of the best they've ever seen, comparing it to top-tier films. They praised its cinematic experience, particularly noting the IMAX 70mm screening, which they found visually stunning and immersive, and highlighted the strong performance of Matt Damon.
