Kicking Off the Brownlow Preview with Adelaide's Top Contenders Hello and welcome to the Footy Form Guide Brownlow Preview show with a difference. I'm Wally joined as always my my good mate Harrow. But Harrow, we've got another great man with us today, our man Dello. We know him from the Cappers League. One of the great Dello. Welcome, buddy. Speaker 2 Thanks for having me guys. Speaker 1 But I'll tell you what, Harrow, it's nice to have some more Brownlow knowledge in the room because you usually do a fair bit of the heavy lifting here, but you haven't been as active this year. Speaker 3 No, I thought we'll bring Dallow in because after last year's Brownlow, I sort of said to you, Wally, that there was just so many random results and, and with them now giving the umpires the start. So I kind of thought I'm going to sit it out this year and see how it unfolds. I'll still might have a couple of little flutters in there, but I definitely haven't tracked it round by round like I haven't previous year. So right to have Dallow on board, he's he's been doing the hard work. So I thought, let's start. Let's bring in an expert from the Brownlow, eh? Speaker 1 Great Dallow, just give us a little bit of a bio on you mate. As we said, like you've been doing this for a while and we've met through the the Cappers League, we all have our AFL punting. Give us a little buy on yourself quickly. Speaker 2 Yeah, I guess an AFL lover and a punting lover. And yeah, I've just been doing AFL tips for a few years now, focusing mainly on player props. Obviously watch every game of footy and I've been tracking the Brownlow closely so I'm keen to get into some bets. Speaker 1 Awesome. All right, So what we're going to do, we're going to get this really simply. I'm going to run us through each of the teams and the most fights. I'll give it couple of the guys in the market and then you're going to tell us if it's an area you want to play in or if it's anything you like. And then after we do that, we'll have a look at any other bets that you like, because I know that people like to build multis out of this sort of stuff. So we we can go we can get stuck in. So let's start with that. All right. And Harrow, of course, feel free to jump in at any point with your thoughts as well. Yeah, OK. Out about Jordan Dawson's $1.50 Isaac Rankin who's steamed home is $2.70. It's 151 if you want anyone else. So it's the, it's, it's a, it's a 2 horse race here. Do do you have an opinion on this one? Speaker 2 I actually think this one's a bit closer than the market suggests. I definitely wouldn't be touching Dawson there at $1.50. I'm not sure I'd play Rankin outright at the $2.70, but I don't mind talking in a long shot multi. So if I was to bet it would be, it would be on rank in Rankin here. Speaker 1 OK, there you go. So one of those ones it is well obviously a speculative bet you're going to try and build out, but the the actual single's probably not a place to play. Deep Dive into Brownlow Chances: Brisbane, Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon Another one which appears to be a 2 horse race is Brisbane with Dollar 40 for Ashcroft, 275 for Neil. Speaker 2 I think Ashcroft wins this one here around 2:00 to three votes ahead. I have him dollar forty. It feels a little short. It's not something I'd be, you know, loading in in one of those safe multis. But I think Ashcroft should win this one. Speaker 1 OK great. Next one is Carlton without Patrick Cripps obviously Crippa. When their run started they went really well. We know he pulls well. Sammy Walsh has had a good year he's $1.20. Jagger is 6 bucks and George who it is $7.50. Speaker 2 Yeah, hard to see Walsh losing at $1.20. I think there are a few better dollar 20 bets from from some other teams so I'd probably avoided that prize, but I'd be surprised if he doesn't win that. Speaker 1 OK, great. Now Collingwood without day cost, this is a little more open. Jordan to go is $1.62. Josh Day cost us 3 bucks, Darcy Cameron's $9 and then you got Pendlebury next day at bigger prices there. Speaker 2 I'm happy to take to go there at that price in a multi. I think that's that's fine to take. I have him far enough ahead of Josh Dakos there. So I think in $1.62 it's fine for a multi. Speaker 1 Yeah, did have a good year, didn't he? Yeah. Oh, he actually did. Yeah. All right. Now Esnen, the Hawks very own Zach Meredith Dollar 33 there. Sam Durham, it's $6. Archie Roberts 8 Darty Parish 10. I mean, Zach Merritt. Is this just a of eight hours there or do you think there could be a fine in here? Speaker 2 No, I actually really like this one. I think Durham at $6 definitely presents some value here. I have this one very, very close, and it's probably one of my favorite bets of the Brownlow. I would definitely be happy to take Durham here at $6. Speaker 1 Love that and, and let's be honest, he gets in and under doesn't. He's absolutely in the contest. So he's under the umpire's knives. Ball game. Speaker 3 I'll just jump in with a comment that one Wally, but definitely have found these teams that poll very few votes or win very few games. They often do have like a a big price Brownlow winner because that might only take 5 or 6 votes or something to win the market. Examining Brownlow Contenders from Fremantle, Geelong, and Gold Coast Very, very good. All right, now we go to Frio. Luke Jackson $1.91, Caleb Sarong's $2.88, Andrew Braishwell 750, Bolton 13, Reed 15. So he got 5 bucks at $15 or under. Jackson was huge but he is a ruck ruck Rover. So Ron and Bryce are always just around the ball. Absolute ball pigs. Are you playing in this one? Speaker 2 Yeah, I don't mind Jackson here at the Dollar 91. I have him three to five votes clear of the pack and I think he could definitely Chuck this in a multi and maybe even a small play of the single here. I like Jackson. Speaker 1 OK, great. Geelong without Smith and Holmes. They put a line through both of those I'm sure. Man is still $1.20 favorite. Ollie Dempsey, the old Australian winger is $5.50. And I mean, Jess is at 15 bucks. I just, I'm, I was surprised. I, I must have missed something with him this season. I, I, I don't know how he'd be in consideration. Speaker 2 Yeah, but this one actually like man out of dollar 20 if you are building one of those multis, even though it's short price, I think you know if you were going down that route, I would be definitely putting in matter. I think he definitely takes that one out. Speaker 1 Well, yeah, I think he had three second manners over the season. So if you're getting 30 and three in a game, you're probably getting votes. So like, that's that's what you're starting. That's your starting point. Like, I would have thought with him. He's he's a good one. Gold Coast have been relatively unimpressive, as we know. Matt Rouse $1.91 after last year's win. Christian Petraga who was just about the favorite after a couple of games is 270. Noah Anderson 6 bucks Miller Noble from there there at 15 and 81 dollars respectively. Speaker 2 Yeah, I'd probably be avoiding this one. I've got him pretty much Even, so I'm happy to put this one through the keeper. Speaker 1 Yeah, it's hard with Rao too, isn't it? He's it's so unpredictable what they're going to give him. Sorry, Hara. Speaker 3 Do you think there'll be a reaction to rail winning last year and and getting so many votes that perhaps that you might get left out a little bit this? Speaker 2 Year it's. Speaker 3 Likely, yeah, Yeah. Speaker 1 Yeah, there you go. Do you have rail Petracca and Anderson close or do you have rail Petracca out in front of Anderson? Speaker 2 No, I haven't out in front. Speaker 1 OK, well, there you go. So if if anybody that does think that Harrow $2.70 to find out isn't a bad price for Petracca, but as you said, it's just it's an absolute minefield. Gold Coast voting and considering how shit they were. Brownlow Insights: GWS, Hawthorn, Melbourne, and North Melbourne's Chances All right, Giants Harry, is it $1.72 gin? Didn't they have a great year as a recruit? Finn Callahan's 375, Toby Green's 450, Lockyash 18 bucks. Do we like Oliver here? Speaker 2 Love Oliver here mate, I've had him well ahead of Finn after a great year. I'd definitely be playing this as a single. I love Oliver. Speaker 1 Love that. I thought so. It's a nice price to $1.72, yeah. Speaker 2 Definitely. Speaker 1 All right, so Hawthorne without Nukem is bizarre because all five in the mark, all the first five in the market are forwards and defenders. You got Gunston at 225, Nick Watson at 275, Germany at 6 bucks, Conor McDonald at $7.00. Well, it's 81 bucks with Jack in and others from there. But like this is I watched a lot of footy this year and none of the top three, I'd be a bit surprised with Conor McDonald, but none of the top three would surprise me. Speaker 2 I actually quite like Gunston here. I know you can get $2.50 right now. I bet 3656 games with five plus goals. I mean, you've got Watson there close to him in price. He had the three games with five plus goals. I quite like Gunston here to take you out at $2.50. Speaker 1 All right, there you go. That's good. Next down is Max Gorn from Melbourne at $1.40 and Cosy at $2.63 and it's triple figures the rest. Speaker 2 Yeah, I'm going to. I see this one out. I think it's a bit too close. Yeah, to be back in. Go on today. I'll leave this one. Speaker 1 Yeah. Now Harry, I reckon we made some money on North Melbourne last year, whether I can't remember it was LDU or or Sherry. I think we paid in a in a decent price and made some money. But there's only two in the market in in what I'm looking Harry, she's got $1.30 LDU at 325, the only two they're offering. Speaker 2 Yeah, I think Shizzle's a bit too short at $1.30. What do you often over polls? You definitely did last year. It's not a bad price at 3:25, but I think I'd rather just sit it out. Speaker 1 Yep, OK. And then port arteride's the same. It's it's horn Francis, the butters horn Francis at dollar 45 butters 263. Obviously with the injury the end of this season early. Speaker 2 Yeah, this one's pretty close as well. I think. There's no value in either of them, so I'm happy to leave it. Analyzing Brownlow Prospects for Port Adelaide, Richmond, Saints, Swans, West Coast, and Bulldogs Great. Oh yeah. So. Speaker 3 Wally, I've had to listen to the to our our mates at the Brownlow Bar this morning. Yeah, and they liked butters in this one. So just thought I'd I'd throw that out there as well. Speaker 1 Yeah, and as that was said, like if it's close and you're getting $2.63 in a 2 horse race like it's it's yes, it's an easy, it's an easy one to sit out. But if you did like Butters, you're getting a price to find out. Yeah, great. Richmond without Taranto, Jack Ross and Noah Bolter. Wow that's depressing at $2.75 a piece. Seth Campbell 8 bucks. Jayden's short and Resco at $10 each. Like I I don't use it. I mean what? What do you even do with this? Speaker 2 I don't think you do anything with it, mate. It's one of those ones where they probably win it with, you know, two or three votes. So yeah, yeah, I think we'd leave this one out. Speaker 1 Yeah, absolutely. All right. Speaker 3 I'll chime in again, mate. Yeah, the board knows just going back to the Brownlow by what I listened to before. They liked Rexco actually with the 10 bucks they said, yeah, he's he's had a couple of those 30 disposable plus games and actually they liked him to in the two polar vote market as well. So just shout out to those guys as well for and I thought I'd give him a mention there. Yeah. Speaker 1 Yeah, nice, good fellows. All right, so Saints, obviously with that Nas Max Hall's a dollar dollar 25, Brad Hill's 7 bucks gas there at $10. Speaker 2 You have a hole fire ahead here, so that's another one you can Chuck in one of those multis, I think with mana from earlier. I like hole here. Speaker 1 Yeah, grab that. All right, Swans. They won't be in the room, we know that. But Isaac Haney's $1.17 Travon is 5 bucks. They're good. Is $26 and I don't don't see how it could be. Erin Gordon just didn't buy enough footy but Haney a dollar 78 and more than 5 bucks. Speaker 2 Yeah, similar to Hall here, I think the price is good enough for a multi. So if you combine that with Hall and maybe mana, you can get $1.85 on tabs. So I don't mind that one. Speaker 1 OK, bright West Coast without Harvey Reid. Tim Kelly's $1.91 Jake Waterman is 3 bucks, Bailey Williams 950. Double figures the rest. Speaker 2 Yeah, I'm going to sit this one out. I think it's going to be another one that's we decided by, you know a very small margin. So I don't think right great value. Speaker 1 All right, so Western Bulldogs without Bond and Ed Richards. This is the most even one we've seen so far, with six at $10 and under. So Matthew Kennedy's $3.25, Aaron Norton is $4.00, Frazier and Sanders are both 6 bucks. Bailey Daly's $8 and liver is $10. Speaker 2 I do have Kennedy head, but not by March, so at that price I'd probably recommend just leaving that one. Speaker 1 OK, great. So let's have a recap here we're going through. So we like Jordan to go here at the Dollar 62. We like Sam Darren at the 6 bucks. There's a little you can have a little sprinkle there in terms of an outsider. Luke Jackson was one that you would consider as a single or you could have it in multi. Kite and Oliver the same at the dollar 72. Storm Manor, Max Hall and Isaac hanging with the three that you put in that dollar 80, sort of the dollar 80 multi there. And then we had Jack Gunston at the 225 for the Hawks and the Brownlow Barber was going with Regco at the $10.00 for Richmond if you just wanted to have a little on something really outside. So that's we've formed a, a nice view there, mate. Exploring Top 20, Top 10, and Exotic Brownlow Medal Betting Opportunities Now. Speaker 2 What else? Speaker 1 On the card on the night if you want to have a look at. Speaker 2 I like, look at the market Top 20 Harley Reid $3 over a tab. I think there's a good chance for this one. Yeah, I'd be happy to play this as a single Harley Reid top 23 dollars. Happy for a small stake there. Speaker 1 Right. Anything else? Speaker 2 Yeah, also like in the top 10 market, cosy $4.50 over at Sports bet or bet 365, that's a play for me as well. Is that a pretty good news? Yeah. Speaker 1 Fantastic, mate. All right. Now was there, I'm looking looking at was there any other areas outside the top? Did you look at any of these exotics and novelties that they offer? Speaker 2 Yeah, not for me. It might be one that we have a look at, maybe on the night, a couple of speculative ones, but that's probably it for me. Speaker 3 Can I get your opinion on this one? Dallow John, you can just finish in the top ten. You got him in there. Let. Speaker 2 Me. Just have a quick look mate. Speaker 1 I've backed him. I backed him at 100 to 1 to come second, which is just stupidity, but I'm a hoax. Nothing. But I actually thought we won a lot of games. He will pick up Max votes in most of them. And yeah, I mean, he's got to be a chance to be thereabouts. And I just felt 100 to 1 was a massive price. But I he, I think he was only, what was he for top 10? How about $2.50? Speaker 2 I've got him 10th. Speaker 3 OK, right. So he's right on the edge. Yeah, I know he's been backed in a fair bit now, so I'll probably be leaving him now of the price where it is. But yeah, I was just interested in your thoughts on that one. And also I was interested in your thoughts on Errol Gould and top 20, because I know he comes home with a absolute wet sail, like he could hold potentially, I think, 15 votes in the last five games. Does that get him into the top 20? Speaker 2 I've got him 21st So what price is he? Speaker 3 $2.80 sports bet, don't know if he's better elsewhere. Speaker 2 Don't mind a little double there. Speaker 3 Yeah, OK. No worries. Speaker 1 Yes, you try and search around, can you get your 3 bucks there and you've got him right around the mark. It feels like you're getting $3 for a pickin bet.
