And then maybe we can do some trade deals, but we can't have any trade deals if you're not keeping the border closed for goodness sakes. I mean, this is not controversial. Why is anybody treating this as controversial? All of this makes such plain sense. What's crazy is that we allowed, for the last 30 years, to get ourselves all twisted in knots, where they made us think that we were bad and we had to pay reparations or something if you would, to the global economy to correct for all our wrongs and kind of change the global picture and give all these other countries a fighting chance. You know, we are big believers in you being the one that's in charge of your own destiny here. Right? You have all the power in the world to control yourself. So use the power. Take the power. And know that a stronger, healthier America that recognizes its own power is a much better asset to you than one that's down on its knees, although, well, you know, I guess it depends on the country. They like, they like the, they like the checks. They like to keep cashing our checks. The problem is, you know, I know, it's the same as in big government. None of the checks actually go to the people and none of the people actually get a help. It just goes to the corrupt ones on the top. So enough is enough is enough. Those days are over. And so then they they lost it and they said not only were they suing him, right? This is the big lawsuit that they filed yesterday and he made a response to that. I'll share it with you. But anyway, not only were they suing, they decided they were going on strike, you know? I mean, it's not really a strike, right? Because they all work for these independently-owned, I mean, these are not state-owned broadcasters or anything. It wasn't really like a strike, but they said they're not going to do their job. They're not going to go and cover the UN assembly. And I was joking that like if there was one assignment, I could miss it. It might be that one just because the traffic so bad in New York City on those days. But gosh, you know, we still got to see the speech now, didn't we? And who is there, but a CNN reporter, a CNN reporter named Caitlin Collins, who he complaints can never put a smile on her face and is always taking the most negative tactic and the most negative angle on stories in any way, you know, she's out there and she's shouting questions at him, which is kind of funny. The CNN just told us they weren't going to do it. They were going to suspend coverage. So what happened to Kate, she must be some kind of glutton for punishment, right? He's only just not allowing her into her little live shot studio at the White House. She's welcome to be there. His point was you said you weren't going to do it, right? You told me you were like going on strike. That lasted a few hours. I'm just saying, you know, the media is really quite something. They had to be there for this one. Anyway, they did file a lawsuit and they're complaining in this lawsuit that it's just unbearable. One of their complaints was, you know, that they don't have an office anymore. They, it's CNN. They had their Betsy Klan, their little CNN reporter goes in and she's got a little desk where she keeps her computer and this, that, and the other. And hey, I would just say, you know, Wi-Fi is great. Go out onto the sidewalk. She eventually did that and you can keep your little computer out there and go for it. Nobody's preventing you from reporting. You don't need to be in the White House with your live shot. No, no, no. You can be anywhere. In fact, hey, look, I'm not even in DC and I report on DC and you know what else? Anytime I reach out to the White House and I have a question, they get right back to me. And in fairness and in total fairness, not that the Biden White House was much in terms of press transparency, but occasionally I go to them with questions to the State Department and this, that and the other. And they would get back to me, not as quickly, but they would get back to me. In other words, you can report from anywhere in the world on this stuff. You can. All right? You don't physically have to be in the White House and you don't have any kind of constitutional right to physically be in the White House. And not to mention, I get a kick out of political thinking it should be there, but Breitbart shouldn't because you know the lefties, they wouldn't live Breitbart near the gate for goodness' sakes. Okay, the president was expressly clear about his view point, discriminatory motive for targeting CNN MSN. Oh, what is it MSN now, whatever, and political. He called it the result of their constant reporting, fake news. So they're saying because of that, this is like a retaliation. It doesn't matter if it's retaliation because once again, I remind you, there is no constitutional right to actually physically be in the White House. They just don't get this. Now do they. In an oval office, the press conference later that day, the president doubled down. Okay, they're still complaining about how he does not like their reporting. No, their reporting is not so great. But think about this. When the president goes out and does an interview, he chooses with whom to do that interview. If he does not like that reporter, he doesn't have to do that interview. There's no constitutional right to that reporter saying, I want an interview. I've got to get the interview. Same kind of thing on these passes, right? He's not interfering with their right to report. He is interfering with their right to a live-shot location and to a desk in the White House. Here is his comment yesterday. He has expected fake news CNN, Politico, payback the $8 million contribution made by US government. Don't forget. They got quite a deal. They were like, I mean, no wonder when they needed to publish that letter with the 51X Spooks, Mike Morrell and John Brennan and Company all banding together to come out right ahead of the election to let everybody know that the Hunter Biden laptop was nothing but another Russia, Russia, Russia thing. It was like a Russia hoax and it turns out no, no, no. That Hunter Biden laptop was a thousand percent real. He really was that bad and the FBI was already investigating it. They knew that. But when they had to plant that story, where did they go? They went to Politico. Think about that. When you remember that Politico was getting paid by the government $8 million a year. Unbelievable, right? So a little bit of a conflict of interest, shall we say? Anyway, they say, you know, you brought this suit to gain access to the White House and your president and me. They have drawn a great judge for them, a man who ruled in favor of Jim Acosta. Remember when Jim Acosta got kicked out? I guess Jim Acosta was able to get back in because this judge whom he names was somebody who didn't really like Trump, even though I guess he was appointed by Trump. Well, whatever it is, I still go back to the AP story. Here's the deal. Remember the AP story? They wouldn't call it the Gulf of America. They kept calling it the Gulf of Mexico. And so Donald Trump was like, all right, well, I'm not giving you access to the briefing room. And so they started losing some access and they got mad and they sued. And the first go around in the lawsuit, the judge was like, yeah, you got to give him access. And then the second go around in the lawsuit, it went to the Appellate Court and the Appellate Court because apparently you always got to go to the adults these days, the adults in the room. The Appellate Court was like, yeah, you know what? He doesn't have to give you access to the room. He's not infringing on your freedom of speech. And that's the precedent I would be looking at. He thinks that fake news is a threat to democracy. Look, news has bias, right? It shouldn't, but it does. The inflection of your voice as simple as that as a news reporter, you know, how am I going to deliver this headline? Unemployment rate came in at 4.1%. I could say unemployment rate came in at 4.1%, or I could say unemployment rate came in at 4.1%, which sounds a lot worse, right? So there's little things like that. There's how you frame the story because, you know, I mean, when Biden finally got inflation going down after it had been 9.0 something percent, everybody was like, whoa, inflation's going down. I'm like, well, I mean, it's down, but it's still up 5.2%, it's still up 6.1%, and let's not forget guys. This is cumulative. So you see what I'm saying? And he's just getting sick and tired of all the negativity that is coming from one side and one side only. So he said, you know what? Enough with you. You're done. You're out. You are not going to get to come and sit in the briefing room anymore. I'm taking your press passes. You can't come into the White House. Okay. They're suing. We'll see where that goes. I think the law is 1,000% on his side, and they're not going to get to first base, and then they're going to have egg on their face. But their reaction is to take their ball and go home, sort of, because Caitlin still showed up at the gaggle today. They want to say, well, we're not going to cover you then. Well, here's the good news. Okay. America? We don't need them. He doesn't need them because there are so many other ways to get your news and information today. Let's take a look at his piece. Out in unison of all White House pool engagements. A boy class beginning on day one of Donald Trump's trip to New York for the UN General Assembly. If you look at CNN's fake news, if you look at MS now, I don't even know what MS now is, I guess it's the MSNBC, what it used to be, MSDNC, as some people call it, that's Democrat national committee, but it's just by its news. And I think that these outlets have an obligation to be fair. And if they're fake news, I really think I have an obligation not to allow them into another very special house. Well, the White House is the most special of all houses, I have to say. And I don't even think the mayor would argue with that. And I think I have an obligation not to let fake news, they're very bad for the country. The only organization traveling with Trump actually is the conservative online outlet called Real America's Voice. And all of this for what? To film the president, Bonnets arrival to New York City for the first day of the United General Assembly without the pool, without CNN, with CNN being barred to cover it, on behalf of all the networks, the one hand selected outlet is called Real America's Voice, which is the MAGA Propagating Outlet that is host to Steve Bannon's show in Jack Basobick, John Solomon, before he entered the government to find the original guidelines. That's also the station that he was on. This White House has actually allows very friendly media outlet inside of the door. And those are the ones they like. The Pentagon press pool, in fact, is for Lindell TV, have started by my pillow CEO, Mike Lindell, the Gateway Pond and Human Events. Today, in New York City, Real America's Voice, a small pro-Trump network was listed as the secondary crew for this important trip to the UN. Okay, he's surrounded by people that will literally repeat every single lie that he says. There's just no replacement for the TV pool system right now, just because of how large the cost is. And, you know, today we had a conservative outlet called Real America's Voice as the secondary TV pooler, but they didn't provide footage to anyone else, and none of the networks would agree to use footage from a small-- Oh, because they're just not going to, they could possibly use. You know what? I use footage from Real America's Voice all the time, though. Let me use it. No problem. You guys can get it. Don't clip it off Twitter or off YouTube. They're actually very generous with that. No problem. It's actually you guys who can sometimes be a little bit ornary about it. I've noticed, like, with the pool, right, because if you don't subscribe to the pool and therefore pay into the pool, it can be a little bit more tricky. I'm just saying, I'm just saying there are certain networks that will let Foxes actually really good about it, you know, which is nice, you know. And Real America, so there are places you can go and I can use footage from. And I always tell everybody, you're welcome to use anything that's on my show. I don't actually, you know, try and track you down and hold you up for it. But they are such a bunch of snobs. They're not going to use Real America's Voice because it's a secondary pool. Are you kidding me? And, you know, did it really matter? No. Because guess what? We still got to see the president. It is deeply ironic that the United Nations has an entire institution. Right? There he is. There he is. Yes, go. It didn't cut back on anything. And I saw a whole bunch of reporters from all over the world that were tracking the president there today. So you guys have a very inflated sense of self. The reality is this. Guess what? He's going to make it without you. He, in this new independent media space, can pick up a lot of it, okay? And we will. We absolutely, positively will. Marco Rubio having to get into it this morning on NBC saying, you know what? The media doesn't have a right to that little backstage, whatever. I mean, I call it backstage because it really is like a studio. So I've been in the Oval Office and the Oval Office, you see it from meetings and stuff. He actually doesn't work in there. The president does not work in the Oval Office. He works in a little office right off the side. It kind of reminds me of like a dining room area. And he's got all his TVs up on that, you know, at the, he's at one end of the table and he's got his computer or laptop and his phone. And then at the other end are all the TVs. And there's this little tiny hallway that goes from the Oval Office right there into that main. It was probably a dining room maybe at one point. He's funny about it too because the furniture is kind of rickety in it. It's old. It's in desperate need of an update. He did revamp the Oval Office and it looks great now, but it's still kind of a set. So they go in there and they take photo ops and media pictures and stuff, but it's a set. And in the sort of further down where the media wing is, they have these little areas where reporters can work and so you can get your laptop connected there and you can sit and you can write up your stories. But it's really no different than if you were across the street. I mean, it's not like you're running up to the Oval Office to say, "Hey, Mr. President, what do you think of this?" It's not like you have any kind of different access to the administration. You just have a different location for your studio. That's really what it is. So Marcos trying to explain this here on NBC this morning, now you don't have a legal right to that, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, let's let Marco handle it. The White House feels very strongly and the president feels very strongly that the coverage he gets and I can't blame him. Look, I got to be honest with you. Maybe you're not going to like to hear this, but I watch a lot of American news coverage and it sounds and something. cases, for example, like they're rooting for Iran. It sounds like they're highlighting anything Iran says in all their public statements as true, and they downplay everything American officials say is wrong. I think I don't think that that is what's behind this, but I think there's a trend line here that's very positive. So look, the White House is very strongly. With all due respect, should media outlets be banned because the president doesn't like their coverage? Should you be able to ban -- Well, they're banned. They're banned. They're banned from other. No, they're banned from other. They're not. No, we're not closing CNN. Well, that's different. Iran is access to the workspace that the president -- This is it right with you, though. I think the White House feels very strongly -- Well, but the president feels very strongly that why should I have people working in my building and in my office that I believe are not honestly covering my administration? That's how he feels. We're not closing CNN. There aren't a bunch of police officers or soldiers kicking down the doors of MSNBC or MSNOW, whatever it's called, and arresting people and unplugging it from the grid. They're just not allowed to work from the workspace at the White House, but there'll be no changes to your traveling pool of reporters. What we haven't discussed it, but again, I think, you know, every -- the administration -- this is a decision the White House made about coverage in the White House, but I'll do a press conference today, and I imagine there'll be reporters there tomorrow, and there'll be reporters there from every outlet. I don't ask them who they're with, and so forth. And I don't think the White House is saying they're not able to cover the president. What he is saying, they're going to all write stories and do stories about the president. What he is arguing is, why should I have these people? What right do they have to be embedded in this building? They can cover the White House that just can't have a desk there. Exactly. Okay? That makes sense. I've always thought it was just a bunch of nonsense, so whoopty-doo, the White House reporter, all it means is they call it, like, Pebble Beach, because right outside the White House, they have, like, all these little stations, all these little onnings, and you'll see camera equipment with the onnings and every reporter. It's really annoying. I've actually been out there, and I've done a live shot, and it's annoying because everybody is talking right next to you, so it's not like you get your own. It looks in the shot, like, you're it, and that's the end of the story, but literally, like, three feet away is the other reporter, and then three feet from him or from her. You got another reporter. So it's just these rose reporters that are doing their live shots, and it looks like they're all alone in front of the White House, but they're not. There's plenty of them right nearby. You're just not picking up all the other mic sounds because they have a mic that's directly on them. Anyway, it's just a set. It's a set. You get an outside shot, and you get an inside shot, and you get a tiny little workspace where you can write your scripts and this, that, and the other. But you can do that across the street, and you can do that from, you know, from your building across the street. You can do that in the CNN Washington Bureau. So I don't think they're going to win this one. This has nothing to do with freedom of speech. As far as, you know, retaliatory, and you saw that the reporter was saying, hey, like, what's going to happen? Are they going to be able to fly on Air Force One? The President actually, and that's been decided in other cases. The President has full jurisdiction over who's going to be able to fly on a particular plane somewhere. That is completely within his parameter, and if he chooses Breitbart over Politico, then he has that right. It's the same as whom I'm going to do my interview with this week. I mean, it's amazing. They make such a big deal out of it, but, you know, he's got another little work around here. I like this work around. I got a kick out of this work around. It is called "Ladies and Gentlemen Introducing Trump TV." Trump TV. What is that? I think he's always wanted to have Trump TV. And now it's coming, it's coming, and it should exist. Like in other words, we shouldn't have to rely on the pool all the time. I think having the pool is good, because you want independent journalists, right? Chronicling, what's going on. But simultaneously, there shouldn't be a cost to be in the pool. Like somebody ought to be giving that out. All that stuff for free. And I think this is the answer here. They've got Trump TV. So if you go to the White House, you can get Trump TV. They've got a little promo that they're running for it. I had to take the music out. Oh, it's such a good little tune that video killed the radio star. You know that song, right? It was really, wasn't that the first MTV song ever video killed the radio star? And it's kind of fitting. They're using that song. You get it, because what is killing mainstream media? But all of us, right here, right? That's what's killing mainstream media. You're watching TV. I will just stand here and watch television for hours. I love it. I want to walk by Joe! No! Anyway, there you go. They got a nice sense of humor over there at the White House. And they're going to have basically all of these things being broadcast. They're going to send it out, you know, what's going to be like a reality show, right? We're going to be able to tune into Trump TV and watch the latest cabinet meeting. And all kinds of stuff. Like he is super transparent. And it's something that I've always noticed about him in that he's not necessarily going to tell me anything off the record that he wouldn't go on the record with. Which I think is pretty darn impressive. So so many administrations, so many politicians have sort of there on the record off the record thing. And he's like just an open book. And this is what actually always gets him in trouble because people are like, "Oh my gosh, you shouldn't, like, looking at what we saw at the UN today. Oh my gosh, you shouldn't say that." You better believe he's saying that. And he sat down for three hours with the Iranians today and I guarantee you, he said exactly what he said in that speech to them. And it's not like there's an audience for one and not for another. So they could do, they could do a reality show. I mean, this would be the problem with working in the White House, though, right? Because you'd always have to have your hair and make up on, ready to go. Never know when you're going to be on camera. Anyway, it's all coming together, okay? New media is here. You don't need the mainstream media anymore. You can be more selective. And I find it funny that they're all worked up. They're all worked up in the mainstream media about, "Oh my gosh, real America's news. Can you imagine that?" Or Mike Lindell TV. "Oh my gosh, how horrendous is that?" Well, do you think that maybe, maybe like the president thought at times, gee, ABC news. Like I don't really like ABC news, which is, you know, effectively run by George Stephan Novelis who was working for Bill Clinton, right? Like he's kind of the headhunt show over there. You think he likes that? Or NBC news where they're trashing him constantly? I mean, they get all those late night shows on all those networks? No. Like so, how is this any different? You know, they really are. A lot of, you know, the snobbery is massive and it's got to end. And we need to come back to some form of normalcy. I read everything just because I want to know what everybody thinks and I want to make sure that I come out with my own view on things and hopefully that's why you're here too because you're seeking something different, but, you know, you can't, you just can't have everybody thinking the same way over and over and over again. That's not healthy for us as a country. It's not going to get us anywhere. Now will it tell you what did get us somewhere? Greenland, it's ours, baby, well, not technically totally ours, but we got permanent rights, permanent military rights. I like the sound of that because, you know, the world is changing. He put this out about a year ago. This was hysterical. Hello, Greenland. What? Hello, Greenland. Today was the day. Today was the signing. I feel like I'm on golf TV voicing over one quality of this shot. It's not so hot. This is what they meant by the pool camera being second to your, I don't know. No, I'm not going to pick on my friends in real America. I'm sure there's some other reason for this. Maybe it was streamed in, but this is the moment of the day, okay? We got Greenland. You've got Denmark there. You've got Greenland there. And they're signing the documents. Well Monica Crowley, wonderful, wonderful woman. If protocol there, she's picking up all those precious documents from them, making sure everything is signed. And we're getting Greenland forever in this deal. This is a very, very big accomplishment. I can't stress that enough. It was something that I worried at times, okay, full disclosure, I worried too, right? Was running the risk of being a pipe dream. Okay, well there's the applause. How about that? And yet it happened. It happened. And a lot of people have come out and said, well, how is this different? And what I would tell you, and if you go back and look at some of my reporting on this over the course of the last year, my point has always been that we needed more of a military presence and that we needed to guarantee that we could have access to those minerals and we needed to guarantee that we wouldn't have adversaries in there and what actually happened all of the above. So that is the difference here. We now have a forever permanent agreement in place to be there and to secure Greenland. That is critical given the location right of Greenland, which we've talked about before. And especially, you know, all the climate change people out there. Where are you when we need you to talk about real stuff? Okay, we got ice melting. So what would that mean? Oh, direct pass between Russia and China. We need to have some presence up there, given where this strategically is located. So we are now and had been locking down some of our bases. We are now adding to our bases. Pete Hegseth, making that announcement just yesterday, we're putting a lot more military personnel up there. This is going to be a big endeavor for us. Let's go to Marco Rubio. He was on Fox and Friends this morning talking about it. As important. Yeah, it's a fact. Well, remember, the whole thing about Greenland was about national security. President Trump was clear about that from the very beginning. This was about national security, both for missile defense. defense, defense of the Arctic, defensive waterways, all of that was critical. And so we had an existing agreement, but it was not, I needed to be modernized, I needed to be updated. We have a new agreement now that's actually great for Greenland and Denmark as well because it provides for their security. And what, first of all, it's permanent. It's forever. Like there's no expiration to this deal. It allows us to build as many military bases as are necessary for missile defense for so forth. It puts us in an investment screening process together with Denmark so you're not going to wake up one day and realize, okay, yeah, the Chinese military is not there, but their companies own all the ports, their companies own all the land. And so they're there because they've done that in different parts of the world. It allows us to-- >> Delta Road. >> Yeah, or even worse in some cases, I mean, they build these ports around the world and the port looks like a military base and you think to yourself, well, of course they built it that way. One day they want to be able to deploy their navy to it. So I think this is something that allows us, and it's NATO-related, too, because what it says is, any non-NATO country that tries to invest in Greenland has to go through a screening process that we are involved in and have control over along with our partners now in Denmark and Greenland. So it's a great deal. It's a fantastic achievement. It never would have happened had the president not raid this issue. You know, multiple American presidents understood the geographic importance of Greenland. This is the first president that actually has done something about it. And today he will sign something that is very good for America, for our security. But it's good for NATO, actually. It's good for Denmark, and it's good for Greenland. And it's permanent. And it's permanent, right? That's a big deal. The national security was really fundamentally the issue here. He come up as long back as 2018. I believe it was Ron Louder. This is really interesting. So Ron Louder, heir to the Estee Lauder Foundation, and, well, not foundation. The makeup company. He's got a foundation. And I've interviewed him a few times over the years. Actually, back when I was at Bloomberg, I interviewed him for a wonderful documentary on his art. He owned a whole gallery on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. And it was just this extraordinary art. Anyway, he, who's, oh, by the way, I should mention this, he's actually also the father-in-law. His daughter is married to Kevin Worsh at the Fed, so like six degrees of separation in a weird way. Anyway, he was really clued in on Greenland. So thanks to Ron. And he, like, cornered the president on it years ago and started bringing up this topic. And so, you know, it got in the president's ear, and he started paying attention to it. And then when he came back second time around, it really was a big priority. And the Danes, they did not want this, right? Denmark was so opposed to it, they made fun of him. The left made fun of him. They thought that this was all one big fantasy. But here we are today with the signing. And I want to go to the Danish minister who was just heaping praise on Donald Trump. And I am very proud to say that in the kingdom of Denmark, the United States has a friend that has always kept our word. And L.I., you have always been able to rely on. And this day represents a milestone in our long-standing cooperation. 75 years ago, we entered into an agreement about the defence of Greenland. Today, we are signing an even bigger and better agreement, a deal that can last forever. This deal is good for the United States. It's good for Greenland, Denmark, for the NATO alliance, and therefore also good for Europe. In other words, we are strengthening our common security, boosting our common deterrence, showing our adversaries who we are and we are doing it together. Mr. President, you have been very clear. You don't want adversaries to come too close. I fully agree. And with this deal, they are not. We are making sure that they will not be allowed to get any control or significant influence in Greenland. And we are making sure that more Allies are present in the Arctic at the same time. Our agreement today underlines the importance of the NATO alliance and we welcome engagement and involvement in Greenland, from partners and Allies even more. This agreement also recognizes the United States defining historical and ongoing contributions to the security and defence of Greenland. Wow. So that was, let me see if I've got her name right, Meta Fredriksson and she's the Prime Minister of Denmark and wow, she was being very complimentary. We had not heard such complimentary speech like ever from the Danes before, but now we're getting up there and we're doing our thing and it's good for them. As she said, it's good for Greenland and it is good for us and it's good for our Allies. Remember, our Allies, what is good for America is good for you and that's the theme of today. This is a new world order. This is a new opportunity in time. It's a chance for us to recognize that we as the most powerful country in the world need to be proud of that power and brace that power and use that power. Don't be ashamed of it. You know, those days are over. We're not going to co-town to the globalists. We're not going to co-town to the UN in a bunch of little countries there that think that they can be in charge of the human rights council when they don't even treat women as equal citizens and make them cover up and where all kinds of, you know, don't get me started because we'll be on that one all day long. I've never understood that and I'm sorry. You can be empathetic as a human being and understand that there's other culture but when it comes to how that religion treats women, I'll never get there. Which is why I was so proud to see even what Italy was doing, standing up for young girls in Italy saying, we're not going to allow burkas, we're not going to allow the headscarves. You want to come to school? None of that's going to exist because we're not going to do that to women. We're not going to tell them that they have to cover up. A religion that treats women as they do is not a religion that belongs, propped up in any way, shape, or form, certainly not in Western culture, okay. You've got to draw the line in the sand somewhere. So on behalf of women everywhere, at least draw it for them. It is good to have you guys here. It really is. I appreciate you being here.
