Bongino Weekend Report - Midterms Edition - Week of 11/02/26
44m 29s
The Bongino Report analyzes the 2024 election results as a significant setback for conservative and Republican forces, emphasizing that no false optimism or "pig lipstick" should be offered. Despite victories in some ballot measures, the show highlights a major betrayal of voter expectations: Democratic candidates, especially those from the DSA and left-wing movements, made promises about affordability, gas prices, and healthcare that they have abandoned. Instead, they have shifted to radical policies like defunding police, packing the Supreme Court, and launching political attacks against Trump and his allies—exposing a deliberate "rug pull" strategy. The incoming Texas leadership is portrayed as promoting DEI agendas and government control, which the show argues undermines personal freedom and community unity. The report cites historical resilience, noting that past political defeats have not ended the conservative movement, and that the current situation is part of a recurring pattern. It warns that media manipulation and political messaging are designed to mislead voters, especially on economic issues. Ultimately, the show concludes that while the results are disappointing, the political foundation for a comeback remains strong, and with elections just two years away, there is a clear, actionable path forward rooted in vigilance, analysis, and unyielding commitment to freedom and liberty.
All America, all the time, on the side of freedom and liberty, your voice of hope and
truth is here. The Bongino Report PM with Dan Bongino. So I'll say this multiple times today
throughout the show that there's not going to be any copium here or any false hope or
pig lipstick or whatever we'd like to call it about the election results that happened last
night. There isn't. The election results last night, if you are a conservative,
Republican, any kind of Republican, a MAGA Republican or whatever, were awful. They were
not bad. They were awful. There was some glimmer of hope on ballot measures. We're going to get
into all of this today. But I would be doing you an enormous disservice out there telling you like,
oh, don't worry about it. Everything's going to be fine. Now, I think there are things we can do
going forward, including a battle plan going forward. I'm going to propose to you today
that I think would solidify us for the next election, which is just in two years. And we
can't just sit and give it up. Ah, forget it. We're not doing that. Like, that's not my thing.
I don't give up. I'm living to fight another day. And so are you. I know you are. But I will put
what happened last night in perspective and context because it matters. Because I'm going
to urge you frequently today to watch the political ecosystem right now for the folks
out there who are not critiquing or analyzing. That's not only. Fair, but welcome. When you lose an election, it doesn't do you any good. I just told you that to
sit back and go, hey, you know, producer Jim, everything was great last night. Nothing to fix,
nothing to change. Analysis and critical thinking is important moving forward. However,
there is a difference between that and celebrating the destruction of the country
that happened last night. Once you see the difference, I promise you will never look back.
I've been warning you about some of these figures for a long time, and now you're seeing it today.
But folks, understandably, I've been in the business about 15 years. I remember election
night 2012 when Obama won reelection. We'll get into that in a little bit. I was on the ballot
that night myself in the state of Maryland for the United States Senate race. That night was
the worst political night of my life. It was. The second worst was when Obama won the first time
against McCain. I'd rank this probably third or fourth, which is bad because both parties have
taken a bath. Traditionally, I'm 51 years old. I'm not young. Bad things have happened. You know,
Bill Clinton winning is horrendous. I mean, it was just a disaster. We had Hillary care. I mean,
I'm old enough to remember that. But fair enough. You may say, well, you've only been in the
business 15 years. You're 51. I may be a little older than you. And I'm looking for another
opinion on the matter for someone who's been in the business a little longer. I said, OK,
I've got one for you, folks. The greatest of all time when it came to
kind of a godfather of the conservative cause was Rush Limbaugh. No, no serious person disputes that
there's no wing of the Republican Party that would disagree with that statement that
not only was he basically the founder of conservative talk radio, he was the 30 plus
year MVP of a game he created. There's never going to be another ever towards the end when we
lost Rush tragically and way too fast. I told the story often about, you know, we,
we inherited some of the stations he was on. I never say take over for us because nobody takes
over for Rush, but we were on 12 to three. We're now on, you know, three to six and sometimes later
with you all. I used to say all the time, there's no taking this man's place. There isn't. All I can
do is do the best work I can do. And I hope you like it. I can't replace him. But towards the end,
I'll never forget listening to the show. I don't know what I was doing. I was like shaving
or something like that. It was his last show and nobody knew it was his last show. And I remember
listening to him sign off as if he knew, but no one else did. And one of my, one of my big regrets
is that I just didn't like put the razor down and just listen better to hear Rush's last moments on
the radio with us. But this was Rush towards the end. If anybody had earned the right after 30
years of ups and downs in the Republican Party and elections, if anyone had earned the right,
to say, I'm done, hate these people, I'm moving on, screw it, going to collect my check and move on.
It was Rush. Producer Jim pulled this up. And this is a little over a minute of Rush Limbaugh at
the end of, close to the end of his life. When things weren't going great for the Republican
Party and the movement, you think Rush was ready to give up? Even if you don't trust me,
I hope you trust him. Take a listen to this. I think whatever,
whatever form it takes, we will continue to fight for and to defend and to triumph.
I know the odds are, I mean, they're stiff and they're steep. The American left is made up of a
lot of people that hate this country. Hate is a very, very destructive frame of mind. It's a
destructive characteristic. And eventually, it results in implosion. You cannot survive on
hatred. You cannot sustain a movement based on it. We just need to be patient while being
vigilant and continuing to fight for what we believe in, knowing full well that we can prevail.
And while we may not have the golden goose idea right now for how to do it, there are countless
people thinking about it, strategizing. We're not alone. You're not alone. You're not a singular
individual all by yourself out there trying to fight these people by yourself. There are 74
million plus and growing. Folks, those are wise words from a wise man
who had seen the vicissitudes, the ups and downs, the peaks and valleys
of politics. Politics is a rough and tumble business. No, no, it is a rough and tumble business.
Unfortunately for the Democrats, many of whom are talking about abortion, which is violence,
and to many of them recommending street violence. One of them, I'll play a clip at the end of the
show, a mainstream left-wing podcaster somehow implying Elon Musk should be treated like they
treated spies and traitors to the United States. It's the most bizarre thing I've ever seen.
Folks, I just want you to be prepared going forward that there is no giving up option. Rushed
through this over and over. Folks, I've only been in this business, again, I was a candidate for the
first time in the 2011-2012 election cycle. It was the first time I ran for office. I
walked away from a position I loved in the Secret Service. It didn't work out.
But that election night, when Mitt Romney lost, I got to tell you, man, I could not believe it. I
couldn't believe a president as awful as first-term Barack Obama not only won the first time, but
reelected and reelected candidly in a rout. That race was called by 1130. I had to give a speech
that night. I lost the U.S. Senate race in Maryland to Ben Cardin. And it was like 1130 at night.
I'll tell you more about it a little bit later, but that was the single worst political night of
my life. And I'm going to tell you something, folks, I gave that speech with a smile on because
the 500 plus people there who had volunteered for my campaign, who were at this watch party that night,
they deserve some leadership too. Folks, we got a problem because a lot of the people who voted for
these DSA and blue candidates around the country voted under the impression that the Democrats were
going to fix gas prices and affordability. Ladies and gentlemen, that is not the plan.
Jim is in the background shaking his head, like almost comically laughing at people who fell for
this scam. I posted it this morning. I know you did. I know you did. I saw that. Jim is from
Texas, horrified at the results. Watch what's going to happen to your great state.
Now that basically every state leadership position has been wiped out to a bunch of
radical far left Democrats. But again, even if you voted for these Democrats thinking they were
going to be a fix on the inflation diesel front and you ignored the successes at the border on
the crime rate, the GDP growth, the economy moving again, stock market gains, even if you
median household income up, even if you ignored all that, folks, this is not what they were
talking about last night after some of their election victories. They were in no way, in no way,
mentioning egg prices, diesel, except for a few candidates. Most of the Democrats who won last
night were talking about absolutely insane things. Here is Tallarico, who is going to be
your incoming United States Senator in the state of Texas. Jim can't believe it. I mean, we here in
the great state of Florida, we did not have a great night, but we had a better night than most.
We lost some congressional seats too, but we won on a property tax initiative, the top of the ticket
ticket, the attorney general to the CFO, to the governor, to all of them. I mean, the Senator
Ashley Moody, my Congressman won. Florida.
have managed to hold off a lot of the horde but if you in texas voted for this talarico because he
speaks nice or i don't know i'm not trying to be condescending or a jerk about it i'm just
genuinely asking i'm not talking about radicals and commies and islamo radicals they voted for
talarico because he's a nut like them i'm talking about if you were an on the fence moderate
republican or moderate democrat who think this that this guy is to be trusted i want you to
listen to talarico himself on fox news this morning with dana perino and bill hemmer when
he's asked directly about packing the supreme court defunding the police and if democrats can
be trusted including him and his answer is no what do you mean no like no answer no his answer was no
like you can't trust me either no it wasn't okay listen to yourself check this out what about the
dsa candidates who won who
want to
do things like defund the police they want to end the filibuster they want to add two states they
want to pack the supreme court would would you continue to disavow all of that now that you've
won well i don't think you should listen to anything a politician says you shouldn't trust
anything including you a politician says yeah what you should do is look at my record uh that
is what you can trust because actions in my view speak a lot louder than words folks the best part
about and by best i mean worst part about playing what we call
sots in the business sound on tape of crazy democrats talk is you only have to play sots
of crazy democrats talking i don't need to add anything i will i will because i warned a lot of
people not to trust these folks there is politics gets embedded in emotion and it just pollutes
everything well he speaks nice i like his haircut or whatever it may be i won his haircut was
terrible too but whatever i shouldn't talk i got like no hair so what am i
but it doesn't matter he's about to destroy the state of texas along with a radical far left
governor who's going to destroy or attempt to destroy every single thing you built they lost
supreme court seats there too so what's the good news the good news is we've been here before
and we've dusted off and we've come back and we won that never happened no it did i lived through
2020 i lived through the obama mccain race many years ago i lived through the obama mccain race
many of you did too i lived through obama romney i lived through bill clinton i lived through hillary
care that's how i found rush limbaugh i lived through 9-11 i've been through all of it like
many of you we have always dusted off and lived to fight another day because you have no other choice
but that's not why you do it you do it because this country's a promise a promise made to you
by your parents and grandparents and great-grandparents who handed down to you the
most prosperous powerful country in the history of sentient beings
anywhere in the cosmos we know or don't know about we're not giving it up because james talarico thinks
there's 67 genders and we sure as hell ain't giving it up to these lunatics either this is this is
insane this is again after a couple of election night victories here's some democrats in a room
screaming about it's an a word jim affordability right no it's not affordability what's the word
they're screaming about oh no no no you i think you got that wrong jim says it's it's abortion i
thought this was about affordability i thought this was about affordability celebrate i mean
again celebrating this i am adamantly pro-life but even if you are pro-abortion it's nothing to
celebrate killing a baby except if you're a democrat on election night telling everyone
you were running on egg prices check this out abortion is so bad baby again folks the best
evidence against the blue wave are the blue candidates that won last night i've added
commentary but they speak for themselves i've got more coming up on the show from al-sayed
peggy flanagan in minnesota won the senate race i'm not only going after ice i mean one of the
most vicious attacks on defunding ice i've ever heard this is after she won you think they're
going to moderate start focusing on egg and diesel prices good luck but folks we've been here before
there's no good news
but the good news is we'll live to fight another day because we always have and we always will
more coming up next we'll be right back

thank you z biotics z biotics.com slash bongino check it out but they were complaining that i had
said on election day i was going to do a pre-alcohol drink today i'm going to do a pre-alcohol drink
tonight and i will reiterate again that the modern media and well the old media too but the modern
media is the time we're living in now is one big giant psychological operation it is it's a psyop
i mean there are people out there in the listening audience today
i'll get to this group of voters i'm talking about in a minute but
there are people out there in the listening audience today that honestly believe the economy
now is going to be a problem and they're going to be a problem and they're going to be a problem
somehow worse than it was under joe biden there is zero metrics to indicate any of that is even
remotely true but they believe it it's really hard evidence and voted as such of a psychological
manipulation operation this goes back though it's not new there are people out there who believe
because they've been told by people in the media and others that for instance police officers are
out there by the thousands mowing down unarmed black men and minorities in the streets
that's just not true there are clearly instances we've seen videos of them and coverage of them of
unnecessary and illegal sometimes and sometimes immoral as well sometimes all three uses of force
by law enforcement it is nowhere near the number the american liberal believes it is it's a
psychological operation to get you to hate the police to defund that's it that's it simple as that
i say this about this small group of people
i i really i'm being candid here i sympathize with because there's a crop of voters out there
that's it's small percentage wise but not insignificant raw numbers that voted in texas
and elsewhere because they really believe that the incoming whatever it may be a communist
governor of texas there's a communist governor in texas uh yes yeah you're gonna be in a in just a
just over a month there's a group of people out there who think they voted for a foreign
and change but they don't really understand what that change is i'm not telling you you're stupid
i'm not down but that's not what i'm saying i'm saying you've been told things by a crop of media
people who are in love with a pernicious deadly ideology called socialism that led you to believe
things you may have voted on that aren't true the democrats ladies and gentlemen i'm not saying
gentlemen i promise you the democrats coming into office in texas coming into office in california
all around the country even got some you know congressmen coming into office in florida where
i live the people coming into office don't give a damn a hoot drop an f-bomb in there if you need
to about affordability that what they care about and that they want to make it worse
i've got some audio coming up later in the show i
have a dsa member democrat socialist of america and in leadership who's on martha mccallum here
yesterday and she's like yeah that cost of medicare government-run health care for all of 47
trillion dollars basically doubling our national budget over 10 years and deficits she's like yeah
that's made up i mean it's like other kids did it remember the old beavis and butter they
mr anderson to catch them that was other kids that's their argument they don't care about any
of this stuff okay you claim to have the receipts your show is based on evidence facts and data
incoming incoming here is a this guy's going to be a chairman of a committee a very powerful
committee in congress his name is robert garcia all this lunatic has been tweeting about for the
last two days from the election abomination the other day to now again this guy's a far left
democrat very this is not a fringe guy up on capitol hill he is a in a leadership position
all he has been tweeting about and talking about is how they cannot wait to get up there
and address affordability what was that mike now mike mike's cutting me off there
no it's not about it for mike it's not correct jim's giving me like the you know the sign like
cut on the set like the across the throat thing with the fingers pointed at you what it's not
about that would be a good time for tiffany that would be a good thing that would be a good time
for tiffany no he's not talking about affordability here's a presser this guy gave the other day so if
you voted again for the democrats thinking oh this is great for my diesel bill great for my farm
good luck here's what you're gonna get endless hearings lawyer up lawyer at least be lawyer i
love this fake tough guy act lawyer up nobody's scared of you not me not anyone else in the trump
administration do what you gotta do man i knew when i swore in for that fbi spot i knew i was
gonna go through 10 years of your garbage bring it man and nobody's afraid of you here's robert
garcia on what they're gonna focus like a laser on their words on day one check this out we're
gonna be focused like a laser on the trump family and ensuring that people know that their corruption
and grift is hurting the american public they are stealing your money and they're stealing your
hard-earned labor giving it to themselves and their billionaire donors and friends while you
and your family are having a hard time filling the gas tank or paying the mortgage bill that's
our first major investigation and that investigation starts on day one
of a new house majority now i'd like you to notice in that soundbite sound on tape whatever
you'd like to call it in the biz that there is no mention whatsoever of diesel prices gas prices
affordability a growing economy union wages prevailing wages anything like that they want
to focus on the trump family because they've never done that before they have never it's not like the
trump family has a new house majority they have never done that before they have never done that
been harassed for the last 10 years since Donald Trump came down the escalator at Trump Tower.
And it was a very effective strategy. I hope you sense the dripping sarcasm.
As people voted them out of office in droves in 2024, I was on Will Kane's show yesterday on Fox
and he said, Dan, you think they're going to do this again, knowing how it's so badly backfired
on them in the past, these endless investigations and hoaxes and fake scandals against the Trump
team? I said, well, you can't explain this to a bunch of children. That's what the Socialist
Democrat Party is now, because that's what they are. They're socialists and they're children.
And it's really kind of an insult to children. It's like they bang their head against the desk
knowing it hurts. The banging the head was the endless weaponization of government, the attacks
on Trump through the fake scandals. And what happened? It hurt. They got smoked in the
presidential election. They lost the House and the Senate. So now they say, oh, well, we're going to
come back.
We're going to come back with a different message, affordability. But then they have this thing in the
in the financial fraud business called the rug poll. The rug poll is when they like people set
you up for a big fall. This is what the Democrats did to you. They rug polled you because now they
won the election. No doubt. No lipstick on that pig, folks. We're not doing pig lipstick here.
But now that they've won, the rug has been pulled and they're switching the argument now to we don't
give a damn about affordability or any of that. We really just want to do what we did over the last
10 years.
Which is wasting congressional Capitol Hill, congressional and Senate side valuable time
on endless stupid hearings. Nobody's surprised. Nobody's scared. It's concerning only in the
lawyer up. I've already got law. You think I don't think about this stuff? We think we're stupid like
you guys. Everybody's already got a lawyer because we know we're going to have to deal with you
idiots. I know about affordability. It's nothing to do with affordability. I'm this is why I opened
up the show and said what I said.
I'm being genuine. I really feel bad for you if you were a roughneck, a coal miner. And, you know,
you don't have time to get knee deep in white papers. You're out there working for a living,
busting your ass. And thank you for doing that, feeding your family. But if you voted for Democrats
and Democrat socialists, especially the ones that are about to take over the state of Texas,
and you think they cared about any of the stuff they told you about,
I'm sorry, you got rug pulled. Here is the soon to be majority leader of the Texas House because
the Texas, they retain the Senate, right? But I think the Texas Senate still read, thankfully.
But the Texas House, the Texas House, I can't believe I'm saying these words,
has now switched to blue. That carbon dioxide leaving my body and saying those words, it's
really, I can't believe I'm saying this. This is the incoming majority leader in freaking Texas.
Long horns.
Guns. God. Liberty. Like the beacon of freedom for planet Earth, not just the country, is Texas.
They didn't even say it like that. You ask people in Florida where they're from, they're like,
yeah, Martin County, whatever. Palm City, whatever. You know, you ask people from Texas,
you know what they say? Texas. And they say it with a freaking attitude. Cowboy boots,
cowboy hats. That's badass. I come from New York City. I can't pull off a cowboy hat. I look for
that. You'd laugh at me. I'd laugh at myself. That's a badass look. And you got this guy,
Gene Wu, coming in to be the most powerful house of the Texas House member. Here's Gene Wu in Texas.
Here he is talking about how basically DEI is back. It's in Texas. I can't believe this, man.
And talking about something Jim, Mike, and I have addressed on this show for,
for what, five years we've been doing? I don't even know. It's been a long time.
That Democrats put you in boxes they determine you to be and not you determine yourself.
Democrats only talk about people in the collective. In other words, how you think of yourself is
irrelevant. So what Democrats do is they put you in a box. Black voters, Hispanic voters, union,
divorced, stay at home moms. And they talk to you in a way where
it becomes your thing, that you're a black voter, not that you're an American citizen,
but that you're black or Hispanic first. As if your values are different than someone who's white
or Asian. They're not. The reason they do this and they put you in this box is because they want you
to believe the evil conservatives and Republicans are in fact coming after you as the oppressors.
I've said this. If you listen to my show, you know it. I've said this for 10 years,
we've been on the air. Here is Gene Wu, incoming lunatic,
soon to be majority leader of the Texas House, telling you the exact same thing,
that basically we're going to think of you like a box we put you in. And we're going to do this
DEI oppressor stuff to get you to not think about yourself, but think about government first. Check
this out. And it's not just Latinos. It's not just Asians. It's not just African-Americans.
It's everybody, right? We, our country and the forces that be, the powers that be,
have spent tremendous time, effort, and money to make sure,
that those groups are never united, that they always see each other as enemies, as competitors,
without ever realizing that they share one thing in common, that their oppressors all are the same,
right? The oppression comes from one place. And I always tell people the day the Latino,
African-American, Asian, and other communities realize that they are,
that they share the same oppressor, is the day we start winning. Because we are the majority in
this country now. We are, we have the ability to take over this country and to do what is needed
for everyone and to make things fair. I warned you. I warned you before the election.
I hope you took it to heart. Some did not. But I'll say what I said as I opened up the segment.
My genuine, candid sympathies are with you. Not if you were a socialist, you voted for
this stuff. But if you're in that small group of Democrats and Independents, that voted Democrat
for Gene Wu and others, and Robert Garcia, and you really thought they were going to fix your job,
the economy, or any of that, I'm sorry, but you got rug pulled. We'll be right back.

up baseball cards because we were kids we used to trade baseball cards all the time and then what
happens like a week later like don mattingly went on a run he hit like uh something like
eight grand slams or six grand slams in one season and it never hit another grand slam again
they have this great week and you're like oh my god i can't believe i trained that don mattingly
traded it i want it back there's no backsies there's no backsies you can't trade back the
card so if you are an on the fence voter an independent a moderate republican or moderate
democrat and you voted for this crop of incoming democrats thinking you were getting jobs and
affordability and gas prices i'm very sorry i'm i'm deeply apologetic i mean this that you didn't
listen to the show because i warned you they are not running on any of that no but they said they
were exactly they've that's what they say but that's never what they do it's called a rug pull
the rug pull like don't be on the rug because you're going to there are no givebacks you are
about to get hosed like you've never seen no no but they told us about affordability and stuff i
know that i get that i get i get that's what they told you here's james carville this guy the only
reason i'm playing jack dan carville's a left-wing consultant he wasn't elected fair enough fair
enough the only reason i'm playing this clip because james carville was probably the lead
political consultant for bill clinton's second term when he moderated a lot he gave a speech
about the era of big government being over go look it up that was a bill clinton speech he's
a freaking democrat carville told him quote it's the economy stupid carville a democrat told him
you got to stop focusing on all this stupid crap he had the sister
soldier moment and he got bill clinton to leave office despite the who's in the bathroom back
there with monica i can't even tell you what their kids don't ask your parent what that is
but despite all that he leaves office with 60 approval and a growing economy because he did
not do crazy stuff so here is james carville lecturing the democrats coming in now that hey
guys you better stop this dei crap weaponization of government you know endless impeachments
subpoenas and you better focus on quote the economy
stupid which i told bill clinton i'm just kidding i just can't sound mike that's not what he says
right at all i guess no that's not even a little not even a little bit so the it's the economy
stupid guy himself is now saying you better get them rat bastards up there send out them subpoenas
you think the democrats the it's the economy stupid guy flipping you think this guy if he
flips every single other one is not going to rug pull you don't hey man that's how we say
listen to me listen to them check this out the main thing the democratic base wants i can report
this to you it's not medicare for all it's not dei it's not any of that what they want is to
humiliate donald trump that's right the democratic base more than anything wants to humiliate that
son of a at every point that we possibly can't we want to watch him wither in anguish and misery and
we already started we had a good start on november 3rd come subpoena power drag them all up there if
it moves subpoena and follow the money and for god's sakes follow that idiot kids that he has
follow the idiots that are surrounded him follow the people in the united states government that
are engaged in treasonous behavior i.e dressing children as russian soldiers and it's not only
enough to fire pete
drag him before the committee subpoena the general subpoena the admirals subpoena the people in the
defense department to show what an idiot this mother is folks what do they say in their own
words narrator in their own words this is the it's the economy stupid guy telling you we better
get those rat bastard kids up there oh i thought it was affordability i thought it was the economy
stupid or something like that
i'm i'm sorry i'm sorry you got you got hosed i'm sorry you know you've voted maybe in texas or
in minnesota for peggy flanagan who's like we're gonna put ice in jail i thought this was about
cleaning up the fraud in minnesota with the leering center no no no no no that's uh that's
not what it's about they elected the fraud but he thought he was a lieutenant governor
they put the rubber stamp on it so you're like okay okay it's carville
he's a little crazy now he's getting a little older the raging cajun or whatever they cause
raging again no big deal he wasn't elected and he doesn't know much about anything anyway well
here's a guy you maybe you're saying something well it's definitely about gas prices i mean we
elected the democrats who we always know right mike we always know the democrats have been the
party of like lower gas prices and producing uh yeah david if you please if you don't get the
joke i can't help you the democrats motto is keep it in the ground keep it in the ground keep it in the ground
keep what in the ground the gas and the fuel and the oil that's their actual motto keep it in the
ground so when they sue everybody so the democrats will do nothing but make gas prices 10x worse if
they can here's a guy on fox news and he's like a trade rep for the petrochemical oil and gas
association he brings up so you may say oh whatever dan he's a lobby fine fair enough you may trust
him or not trust him i don't really care he's a trade rep the point he makes up the point he makes
on the show here is
absolutely accurate here he is talking about how we are in the gas industry if you elect
democrat keep it in the ground higher fuel price democrats we hate petrochemicals we can't move
why can't we move from texas because the freaking oil is in the ground in texas what are you gonna
do horizontal fracking from freaking florida to texas it doesn't work that way the oil is in texas
in the permian and elsewhere so if they tell you to keep it in the ground it's going to stay in the
ground and your fuel prices are going to go up folks you got to listen to this point because
there are people who did they swore they were voting on gas prices who were about to get rug
pulled and rug pulled hard to totally ass over decadal check this out you have to look at places
like what happened in california or what happened in colorado and the absolute worst thing that
could happen to the united states economy would to have california style energy policy
implemented in texas we saw that and it would have dire consequences for the u.s economy when
you take a 27 billion dollar industry like ours in texas
Texas, and you begin to heavily overregulate it.
What you just mentioned with regards to methane regulations and other things, that's exactly
what happened in other states.
When we saw that clean sweep of democratic elections take place in Colorado, for example,
in 2019, we've seen a 25% to 40% reduction in production in Colorado.
My big fear, and I've said this to my Texas friends, is what happens if Texas becomes
californicated, for example?
If you're a business in California, you don't like being regulated, you pick up and you
move to Texas, okay?
But as our industry, we have to go where the actual resource is, and so it's not like we
have that particular luxury.
What happened in Colorado, what happened in California, is the oil and gas industry moved
to where the resource was, which was Texas.
We don't have any other place to go, so we have to actually watch this one very, very
carefully.
That's why alarm bells were going off yesterday morning when everybody woke up after the election.
The results were in.
Again, discount the guy, "Oh, he works for the petrochemical industry," fine, I don't
care.
Dispute what he said, not who he is.
I don't know the guy, I never met him.
He's on with, I think it was Dagan McDowell on Fox.
Tim Stewart.
Tim Stewart, thank you, Jim.
But dispute what he said, and do it without laughing at yourself.
Is the oil and the gas in the ground in Texas or not?
So how are you going to deregulate it from Florida?
You can't.
If the Democrats in Texas, which they will, with your new communist governor, say keep
it in the ground, you can just stop the derricks going today.
Roughnecks be out of a job, fields drying up.
You can't move the business.
It's not like you could do one of these X-Men, Magneto things.
Let's put some metal in the oil in the ground, and Magneto will suck it up and move it to
Florida, the home of free. No, no, that's not the way any of this works.
Folks, they don't even have a plan.
This is the craziest part of this whole thing.
They don't even have a plan.
Here is this. This lady is not some fringe figure in the DSA.
She's like the head of the National Democrat Socialists of America.
I think her name is Megan Romer, yeah.
She's not some local yokel sitting in a bar going, "Oh, socialism."
He's like that drunken guy from The Simpsons or something.
If you were the head of a movement, Communist Socialists of America, and you're suggesting
upending the American healthcare system, and you're voting on lower healthcare prices,
don't you think it's imperative on you if you're going to steal people's free market
healthcare they bargained for with their employer?
Don't you think it's imperative to at least understand the mechanics of how it works?
Folks, they have no idea.
Here's this lady, Megan Romer, on Fox News with Martha McCallum.
Martha McCallum.
number out there from actual economists who've looked at it now you can dispute the number all
you want fair enough but your obligation then is to produce your own number and say well here's
what i think my plan to destroy the health care system is going to cost ladies and gentlemen not
only should i have a number she doesn't even care about the number she's like i'm not really here
for that i'm just really here to destroy your health care system check this out it will cost
money to provide health care to everyone. So that's $47.4 trillion Medicare for all.
It's a made up number. You say it's a made up number, but it was done by economists. So this
number is $49 trillion. What's your number when you add up everything on that list? What number
did you come up with? The numbers are, there's no like one solid number. That number is going
to shift as we pass various just give me a basic number for your wish list outrageous
because you have to figure these things out i'm not gonna give you a solid number that's not what
i'm here to do you heard it from her mouth you don't need me to repeat what she said she said
it herself if you voted on affordability the it's the economy stupid guy is telling you they're
going to do the opposite if you voted on gas prices the texas democrats are about to keep
it in the ground you're about to get worked if you voted on health care and quote free cheaper
Bungino.
Podcast Summary
Key Points:
The 2024 election results were a major setback for Republicans, but the show emphasizes that there is no need for false hope or false narratives, and that the results must be analyzed critically.
The show highlights how Democratic candidates, especially those from the DSA and left-wing movements, made promises about affordability and gas prices that they have not kept, instead pursuing radical policies like defunding police and packing the Supreme Court.
A key point is the "rug pull" strategy—Democrats shifted focus after winning, abandoning their original promises and instead launching investigations into Trump and his allies, targeting political figures rather than economic issues.
The incoming Texas leadership, including Gene Wu and Robert Garcia, is portrayed as pushing DEI and government control, which the show claims undermines individual identity and fosters division among communities.
The show argues that despite election losses, the conservative movement has historical resilience, citing past defeats like Obama’s 2008 win and the 2020 election, where the movement regrouped and returned.
It points out that Democrats, including leaders like Megan Romer, have made unfounded claims about the cost of Medicare for All—such as $47–$49 trillion—without providing verifiable data or economic models.
The show criticizes the media and political messaging as part of a psychological operation, designed to manipulate voters into supporting policies they don’t understand or trust.
The core message is one of perseverance
Summary:
FAQs
Dan Bongino argues that Democratic candidates, especially those elected in states like Texas, do not prioritize affordability or gas prices. He claims they have no actual plan to address these issues and instead promote policies like 'keeping it in the ground,' which would raise fuel prices and harm the economy.
Bongino uses 'rug pull' to describe how Democrats, after winning elections, abandoned their initial promises of affordability or economic relief. He says voters were misled and 'hosed' by the sudden shift in messaging, indicating a deliberate deception rather than a genuine policy change.
He warns that the new Texas leaders, like Gene Wu, represent a shift toward DEI policies and political weaponization, which he sees as a threat to individual freedom. He claims this approach divides communities and undermines American values, especially in a state known for its conservative identity.
No, Bongino argues they do not. He claims their focus has shifted from economic issues to political attacks, such as targeting the Trump family or promoting anti-business policies like overregulation of oil and gas, which he believes will harm the economy and working families.
He dismisses the claim as baseless, pointing out that the $47–49 trillion cost figures are made up or exaggerated. He argues that such claims lack credible economic analysis and that the politicians making them have no real understanding of how healthcare systems work.
He believes the modern media runs a psychological operation (psyop) to manipulate public opinion, especially around issues like police brutality and economic hardship. He claims this creates false beliefs that lead voters to support policies that actually harm the economy and society.
