The podcast episode focuses on previewing the Bletchingly Stakes at Caulfield, a Group 3 race over 1200 meters. The hosts review recent performances, noting the poor run of heavily backed Hard Kick, who struggled with pre-race issues, and the strong victory of Riverina Lulu. They also discuss the failed transfer of "A Boy Named Susie" to Australia, revealing that a CT scan likely prevented the sale, though the trainer downplayed reports to protect the horse's stallion value. This leads to criticism of the racing industry’s lack of transparency. A lighter segment covers the hosts’ disdain for matcha tea, which they label a social experiment. Weather forecasts suggest a soft 6-7 track at Caulfield with possible showers. The episode blends race analysis, industry gossip, and casual banter, offering insights into both the sport and behind-the-scenes dynamics.

I think it's group three over the 1200 meters this Saturday. Nine races to go through at Corfield. We'll be going through each and every one of them. We might also have a few bets over at Ramwick. And maybe even a couple internationally. My name's Ben Calluzzi. If you join us here for the first time, I introduce Nico McGuolta. And will the bot Alfred? Nico, I'll start with you for a change, brother. How are you doing? >>Yeah, I'm good. >>You're good? >>I'm good. Yeah. Nothing to really complain about apart from the same old thing. >>How are we? >>A apart from the same old things. >>How are we? >>That's a change. I told him no traffic talk this week. >>No traffic talk this week. >>He's actually really nice. >>He's still quite bothered. >>I'm still quite bothered. >>Yeah. >>I took the dinner at 6pm, I took the over, is that Egypt there, just after? I think I'd salute it, but only just. >>No, no. You were there. >>You actually lay there after? >>Yeah, I was later than you, but you didn't make it like a six on the dot. >>I was there at 6.02. >>Yeah. >>So pay the blame. >>So you can take it moral victory. >>Will, how are you mate? >>I'm good. I spent the weekend in Sydney. So that was fun. >>How'd you get up there? >>Lots of things were done. We had lots of fun. >>Yeah, from the best. >>Absolutely from best. >>But, you know, just for a second, I think the Winter Championship. >>Rent, what does it call the Winter Challenge? >>Winter Challenge. >>Winter Challenge. >>The horse that won, I think, you tipped me, coach. >>I did. >>It's not a dog. >>It's not a dog. >>It's not a dog. >>It's not a dog. >>That absolutely, I'm good to know. >>I'm good to know. >>I'm good to know. >>I'm good to know. >>Because I did my best at Midnight. >>Yeah. >>As did we. >>That one really well, but just for it, Renwell too. >>How's the bubble and how's Mum? >>The little man is amazing. >>Although he was sick the next day. >>He was sick of you. >>Probably. >>Yeah. >>No. >>He had a 40 degree temperature, the little man. So, I think he's feeling a little bit better now. And Mum's good too. She's looking well. >>He's a good one. >>Put on all fronts. >>Beautiful. >>Up there in Sydney. >>We had a little bit of a stinker. Let's be honest boys. We didn't have too many wins. >>Big for yourself. >>You might have had a couple good winning bets, but at the end of the day, the podcast Malthie was zero from two. It was poor. >>It wasn't great, but that was always going to happen after a bit of a wishy washy type. >>It wasn't the most confidence we've ever had on it. >>Did you really have confidence? I didn't have confidence leaving he wins. >>Oh, I'm comfortable. >>What's best bet it was it was it was it was it was it was it scratched. >>It all didn't lose. >>It didn't lose. We'll find out this week whether it was a good thing. >>I don't know if it would have beaten Rosland Star the way he went on that wet track. >>He apps. >>They smashed him too. >>Yeah, because there was nothing else to these. >>Everly, heavily backed. >>But we've got a steak handle and Copa and Yarni was a little bit too good off that slow tempo, but I thought the Philly ran well enough. >>Yeah. >>I mean, the Copa and Yarn, there was a decent figure there. I heard Natalie Young say after the race they were going to look to the Corp. Ginny's with him. That's a little bit of a step too far out of thought. >>I'd compare. >>I could like Copa and Yarn to a horse like Viennara. >>I don't know if you know Viennara. >>Yeah. >>Also, he ran seventh in the Corp. Ginny's in over a chase. >>He's about one from 24. >>Maybe Copa and Yarn is a Mooney Valley Vars horse. >> Potentially. Potentially. I didn't think he'd stay, but I guess they walked and that was in his favour. Then John McNeil took around on Aki Breakey Heart, took off on Aki Breakey Heart and had notified and Harry Koffee in a pocket. I don't think we're the one anyway, but we beat SP. So we can have that to the full back up. >>Talk about moral victories. >>The Poms would love that one. >>Yeah. >>Well, I did. >>And obviously, I was cool with Scratch Niko. So we ended up taking Hard Kiki. He was a very popular favourite on the day, the two-year-old. He ended up getting everything wrong, pre-race and he got a bit of fair bit wrong during the race as well. He was $1.65, he got to $2.10 starting price officially. He was out the door late. He went up in the gates just as they opened, so he sort of launched. Copped a bit of a bump, got very keen on the bridle. He overraced and Penchenko, the Philly overraced even worse than him. And it was down to River Verena Lulu, the Debbie Tonton, who was a very smart winner. But we got that one wrong. Card kick, he wasn't good enough. >>No, he definitely wasn't. It wasn't nice to wake up to. I was up very late. I stayed up until four o'clock last Friday night. >>Gee, he's already said it. >>I was watching the go. >>Oh, yeah. >>No, I'm serious. >>Okay. >>Good to like 1230 and I'm not exactly tied ready for bed yet. So I'm going to stay up much to go. I'm going to lock in and as I like to do in major gaming chips, once I start, I don't really stop. >>So you slept in beyond 12? >>I didn't go to bed until 430 am. So, yeah. >>Gee. >>I set, I put my bed to number four, I went to bed and I woke up to disappointment. Well, when I say I put my bed to number four, I covered because I was like, "Well, there's every chance that I may not be awake." >>I'll wake up to the first couple of days. >>For the first couple of days. >>I'll wake up a lot, 10 with my alarm and off, and I'm not ready to get up yet. >>So, yeah. >>I reckon my theory about hard kick, I reckon it's got a little bit of legs, potentially he was just doing, he was just way too fresh at home, they wanted to get it running out of him because that's the way he's paraded and that's the way he's raised as well. I don't know if the Hong Kong sale is still on the table or if it's not. >>Well, it's not really a sale, is it? Like he's owned by David. >>He's owned 100% by David, so it's not really even a sale, it's just a transfer. >>Yeah, that's true. >>But, yeah, I don't know if my theory still has some legs to it. Sometimes these horses, when they get put out for a break, they get real fresh at home, they do too much and then they just sort of have to run that freshness out of him and he got it all wrong there at last Saturday. But the winner, Riverina Lulu, was a smart performance, Will, what highest do you think she could potentially reach? >>Well, I mean, when you put it into context, she's one really, really well on day Boo. But she beat, she's beaten Leopard Shark and the Trouble Shooter by a length and a half into a quarter. So, I mean, she won well, good time, well, very reasonable time, without being too strong. Look, I think she's good. I compare it to Angel's Fury and everyone seems to have a pretty good opinion of Angel's Fury. And I guess she's on an on day Boo as well. She's good, but she's not a cool more Philly. Like same as Angel's Fury, like they're not, I don't think they're going to be competitive in a cool more stud stakes. But it's not one piece of form. >>They, exactly. And it's a day Boo and she could improve of it, but they have their place and they'll win their races in the spring like the Quizzette and the Red Roses and all those sort of Philly's races. But I could be wrong at the same time, she's not just had her first starting, she might progress and be the best three year old. But from this day Boo, it's a moderate day Boo without being fantastic, it's good, but it's nothing special. >>In either the Quizzette are going to be great races. >>Oh, absolutely. They will be. They always are. That'll have an 100 metre story. >>I guess Firebox hard kick and I'll happily wait until it happens back. >>Yeah. >>In the Quizzette. >>I think in the Vane. >>In the Quizzette. >>The Quizzette will be a great race because you'll have Angel's Fury. >>That Philly will go there. There's another good horse that is kicking off there. >>Penchenko will go for a spell, she'll come back there. There was another good horse that was in the kick off there. >>In Hornsight. The winners got out to eight bucks. She jumped out like an absolute rocket. Hornsight is a wonderful thing. >>That was the thing. She was 480 when I was at like 380.
- At the end of the day, she's probably going to re-under the odds. - $8 was big, but 480 was not big, so. - Yeah, it is what it is. - Oh no, you live in Dubai, though, so I was still, you know. $8 I probably would have had a save, but I didn't think Hard Kick was going to do what he did, so. - That's the beauty of doing these podcasts on Wednesday night. - That's the game. - Well, the hardest thing about it, I don't know, anywhere we're going to that. No one's here, it's complain. But what other good performances were on display last Saturday? - Yeah, changing colours ran a group class, not a fair of mayor, I'd say. And that was on the benchmark 78, so I think she could be followed in the next coming weeks, and she, if she can continue to run to that level of form, then she'll be continuing on winning. And I think the biggest story ever. - I think she was the only winner I backed on, so. - Yeah, well, I backed my dea in that race, how wrong was I? - But I think the biggest story out of that race is Lucy Yomens, and I think, you know, she is really, really good. And she's betting the market significantly. She's, you know, going at a 21% strike rate, 46, 10 from 46, since she started trading. And I think once she gets Blake's in, as well, returning to the saddle, and they'll be, I just think she's very, very good as a trainer, and she's an exciting prospect. You know, she will only have a boutique stable, and she'll place her horses very well. And I think her horses will be, to be respected every single time they go to the races. - Beautiful. Anything else of no to, happy to move on? - It was a bit of an ugly way to get to the top. - Midnight, Midnight, St George was good. Midnight, Donum, I was probably one of the wins of the day. - Yeah, ladies' pro was really good. - Ladies' pro was good over in the West. - Who? - Oh, my three winners, sir. That would be great. - That's all it really matters. - And Bold Soul was able to turn the tables on Holland Blades. - Well, Holland Blades would have had this world. - He had a suspension. - He's done a suspension and also protests as well, that which was dismissed. - They weren't disgustingly slowing at once. - Now, boys, did you take a photo when they went past the poster first time with Black O'Hill? - Yeah, hilarious. - I still think if they went a little bit faster on Black O'Hill, they went a little bit faster. Holland Blades would have gone on now. - Yeah, Midnight, Donum, it was probably my win of the day. - Absolutely. - The Georgia was absolutely off the map. - No, no, Jabba's no worries. - Yeah. - Virtua Circle was leading for like what? - I hope you took your photo. - I had to rub my eyes out for I saw Virtua. I was pretty pissed on Saturday, but like, when I saw Virtua Circle leading at race, I was like, "Geez, how much have I had to do?" - You put a tweet out mid-race. - Yeah, yeah. - So Matt is more at hand and more importance. A boy named Susie, there was reports of the sale going through over $5 million that it was going to be sold to Australia. I think Ben Dori's put that article out. This is just what I've been told and as far as my knowledge sort of goes to. And I think Johnny and Neil pretty much clarified it without fully saying the big F word failed. This horse went through the initial vet process and the initial vet check said, "Oh, good." And then what I'm led to believe is he had a CT scan, which was the final tick off to come to Australia. And they weren't happy with the CT scans and basically. - Yeah, so that's whether that's that he didn't pass his CT scan or they weren't happy with what they saw on the scan. - Yeah, well, it's one of the other. - It's too awesome. - And there's also the possibility that where they go, "Look, you could take this horse to Australia." And there's a big chance he's not going to pass his CT come October or come September. So they've gone, "Well, we're not going to spend $5 million on that horse if there's a big chance he's not going to be able to run in the Cox plate." - So that's what. - That's what. - That's what. - That's what. Yeah, that's your complete clarity around a boy named Susie and why he's not coming to Australia anymore. I thought it's a bit rich of the trainer to go. Like. He basically said, "Oh, Brian, what's his name? Donnie Coorow. Donnie Coorow, Brian." Donnie Coorow, Brian, basically came out and said, "I was disappointed to read that journalist who said he sold. " - I'm not saying you were disappointed with this. - There's no truth to that. Like. - That's so scary, isn't it? - You've got to at least say, "Look, there was a good chance that he was about to be sold, but we weren't happy with the scans." The reason why they're never going to say that in black and white is because they don't want the value of the horse to be. to decrease because he's a stallion. He's a stallion prospect. But on this podcast, we're going to tell you how it is. Well, the scariest thing as well is like the. pet looks certain media outlets won't reveal the full truth. - Like. - Yeah, correct. Well, everyone's scared of stepping on each other's toes. - Right. So, I mean, like, isn't that the. - Why don't you want to get an idea? - Your job is to report accurate information. - I won't get into that. - No. But at the end of the day, there are people who want to keep relationships with certain people. Look, we don't know Donnie Coorow, Brian. So we're happy to say what we've been told from very reliable sources. - But. - Yeah, at the end of the day. - People are put in. people are hunched stupid. They're put into it again anyway. - Yeah, that's the thing. - The horse was sold and then the horse isn't being sold. - Come on, go. - You're living under a rock to figure out why. - Yeah. - What they've changed their mind, have they? - Right. - Yeah. You can put two and two together, but it would just be nice in this racing industry if it was just black and white more often. Like it is in the AFL. Like it isn't any other sport. But in this industry, we want to protect the value of stallion prospects and this, that and the rest. - Too much. - And sometimes. - Bull bullshit. - To be fair, Bonson Pally isn't being sold for $50 million first. - This horse would never be worth 50 million. - Yeah, that's true. - Like Kevin's too. - I mean, well, you know what I mean. - Their horse is bought. They've got no feelings. - Hmm. - Well, like, especially the ones you love. - No, the ones I bet. - That's a bit harsh. They do. The other thing that I. The other thing that I wanted to try on the bin, and this one is off Brawbae. - There we go. - Matcha. What's your thoughts on matcha? - Matcha, marcha. - Marcha. - Disgusting. - Absolutely disgusting. It was going around in our group chat today about all the girls, not in our one, our racing. - Oh, right. - I'd put it as love of matcha and polaris. - This has to be some type of big social experiment, doesn't it? - 100%. - 'Cause I've had matcha a couple times. - It's disgusting. - Filthy milk with a green sort of tint to it. - It tastes shit-ass. - Surely this is just some type of social experiment. - It's a gel. - Let's see how many influences we can get. - It's a gel. - It's a gel. - And then get people to buy this green dirty milk, which is pretty much just soil and grass mixed together. - Yeah. So it's a gel. - There's no way people actually like this. - In Japan, I. - Memo misses were looking to like, we were just walking past. We've been a long day. We were out in the city walking home and there was like this place just near where we were staying. And there was this matcha place. And I was like, "Oh, I've never had it before." And like she's obviously had it before. And she's like, "Oh, you're ill." But like not injured. We hadn't had it in Japan, like the proper stuff. So I was like, "Oh, let's go try." - No, that's awful, see. - We were waiting there for half an hour for them to grind it up and shit. - By the time we got like, there were like three people in line. It took us 20 minutes to get in front of the line. And they said, "Oh, probably another 20 minutes." I said, "Fuck, I'm going. Go." "I'm going home. I'm off doing this." - What are they doing? Like they have to grow the grass out of the back. - Grind it up. - You may as well put your hand in Niko's lawnmower. Get the mullet out. - Put it in an injure. - Cut your hand off. - Make Niko do you know how much money you'd make? - Just tell him, "No, no." - Just giving you a. - No. - You throw away. - I can't get on ball with it. Like at least with those bubble teas, with the. - I'm never at a bubble today. - What do you call them? The little pearls, the pearls in them. Like I can get on ball with that, and I can understand why people like that. But March I just honestly don't know how people go, "Mmm, this tastes good." - Nothing for me. - Anyway. - Well, I'm sure we'll get a bit of traction with that. Let us know if you're a fan of March I, maybe stop listening to these podcast. (laughing) - If you are a March I fan, don't ever actually listen to these podcast again. (laughing) - We don't want your services. - All right, let's move on to some racing showy. Core field, rails out 10 metres. It's a soft six at the moment. Looks like we've got fine conditions for the next couple of days. We have had some rain tonight in Melbourne. We are recording here on a Wednesday night. We've got one to four millimeters on Saturday. Around a 15 kilometer west of the wind comes Saturday. I think we set up for probably a soft six, maybe a soft seven track wheel. - Seven? - Yep. - Soft six seven. - Yep. - Thanks Nick, we got it first on. - And what we know about. - Oh, this old teeth and I, it was. - Bad income, let it a much of the cheer up. (laughing) - You know they have much of beer in Japan. - Still will never do that. - Yeah. - Don't waste a perfectly good beer. - There's one good much of thing in Australia and it's trained by Nassim Dihumi. - Yeah, much a lot. - Much a lot. - Much a lot. - So what else? - Routen at Corpere will. - Yes. - I don't know what I called you Wilman. - That's weird. - It's weird. - Often they, often they are. - I believe you start talking about matches.
is it going down weird? - Yeah, that's enough. - That's a bunch of stuff. - Often they are getting off the fence. - Yes. - Correct. - But I think they've aerated the extreme amount of the lens. - Yes, they have. - Switch on that. - They have Drew Dilliger. - Well, Ben, well done. - Yes, I have. And there's us a West Silly, which is coming across them. So I think it'd be like the one one sort of position just off pace, blending into it as they get into the straight. So the winds coming to them on their left. So maybe having cover that, I'm gonna podcast, I can't really see where my hands are. But yeah, so the winds going that way into your face and then also coming to you on your left. So like the one one sort of position and in the shoot, being free wide is probably no issue at all as well. - Yeah, so I think they'll be edging off the fence a little bit as the day goes on. They won't be extreme, extremely wide. They'll come down the fence like a month or two ago. - No, no, it won't be like that. - But I don't think you want to be hard fence. So there might just be like a bit of a golden pocket as you saw. - Yeah, yes. I think that might be the case where there's gonna be, there's gonna be a very desired three lanes where everyone's going to want to be. And if you're not in those positions, it might be a bit ugly for you. So that makes, I find the winner even harder because there's only three lanes. - Anyway. - There are gonna be, there are gonna be nine winners. That is a fact at Callfield on Saturday unless we don't get through these 10 like last week. Along the river one. - Yeah, that's still lonely. I think that's only counted as half a win-h, so. - Isn't along the river a champion? He is just the moon every time. - He is a champion. Every time over a thousand meters, he just runs his number every single time. It does. - I didn't even back in one Saturday. - A horse who often runs a number and still doesn't win his custom. She's our favourite in race one. Benchmark 74 fillies and mayors over the 1200. She's $3 into $2.80 with about $365 market from Reed Cooperado, $468 to $5 to Kiko. It's $5.50. Glasgow last $10. And Mystery and Drama. Who was a big winner a couple times last prep. He's also $10. Now we'll custom. She's only won the one from 10. She's been a bit of a tease. - My favourite. - But. - Oh, sorry. Say that again. (laughing) - No. - Oh my days. - Hello to Will's mum. I don't think Will's go from this into this. Custom look short, but she looks well set up here. - She absolutely does. I think she's, of the shorties on Saturday, I think she's probably the one that I am most likely to back at the current prices. I think 280 with our friends at bet $3.65 is fair. And I've marked her 270. So, but I do think like at the moment, Wednesday's metropolitan racing, these favourites are going up very short and you're gonna be able to get a better price on Saturday. So, obviously there are times when that's not the case, but I just think there's no rush to take these runners right now, but I think in this particular race race one, custom is the one for me that I've got a big circle around. I think it gets a great run. Ticaco had been on a 320 day spell and was quite soft there at Corp. I thought it was not disappointing by any means, but I think it might need a few more runs. Glasgow Lasses had again had a long spell and was only fair, although with a good SP there at Corp, it would last time, 70 days between runs. Recuperado gets back, barrier 2 is very awkward for it. I think it needs to run a peak to win here and it just sort of leaves custom there. It's gonna get a perfect run with a decent speed and I think it runs its number and I think it probably wins a market $2.70 and I'm hoping to be on it at sort of $3 and maybe in the little bit better than that. - Yeah, I've had a small bet on custom. I think it's the right formation that afterburner formline. Look, there wasn't much between the first four over the line last time. However, they did go a slow tempo. That brings about less margins afterburner's going around in a better race. I do love that she gets him with the three kilo claim only 56 and a half. I just question her desire, her intestinal four to a little bit. She's a very-- - There's one from 10, so it's a completely valid statement. - Oh, it's not. - Why is it not? - She's one from 10. - She's been placed in races that she's been good at. - Well, that's not the aim of the game. - And she's improving as she's getting older. - She's very basic. - That's what she's saying. - She's not improving. - She runs good races often. She often also gets beat through links. - Yeah, but she's off in this race. - She's not raced horses this bad in her race. - It's a bad race. This type of race. - Yeah, but these type of horses that claim unlucky and run well don't exactly always win the races when they're in less aggrade. - It's D-Day. She's running our chances. Let's move on to race number two. - Yeah, brave. - A two-rolled 1100 meter event. And in my opinion, this is one of the highlights of the day. - Me too. - Resolutely is our favorite, but a drifting favorite. She's been four dollars out to four dollars 60. She was great first up from Garners of Khan $5.50. Stakes is also $5.50. Jacker and a six dollars 50. Just a slightly easy. Rebel Tuesdays some money, $7.50. And brazen to Shembo for the golfing fans, Nico. A bit of a play on words for Bryson. His $10 in net looks interesting. - Interesting what happened at the open if he last week. - It looks nice also as well. What happened to big boy Bryson? - Did you catch that? - He was spending lots of time in the bushes. - He cut the ears, absolutely blocked the drive right over hazard. - Yeah. - Went over there, was allegedly. - Well. - Oh, he cheated. - Well, I think you could draw that bow bend. He improved, he got a two-shot penalty for improving his lie. - What do you do flatten the ground out of something? - He didn't like some weeds that were behind. He's seeing it. And he was acting like he was allegedly. He was acting like he was trying to find his ball. - Oh, one of those arms. - He might have had something in his way that he didn't want him to be in. - That sounds like one of my tricks on the golf course. - Yeah. - When no one's looking. (laughs) Did you hear it before he quickly moved on to the straights? Did you hear Rory McAvoy's very honest comments on Bryson? - I completely agree with Rory for its worth. - He basically said, "I'm not fond of Bryson." - Neither am I. - Not a fan of him. - I'm not a Bryson fan, no. - It was refreshing to hear that when I'm a professional sportsman. - And you know why? - Because people hang Rory out to dry because he often sticks his neck out and he's often the one that's not a mouthpiece for people. And he exactly calls it how he sees it. It's refreshing, isn't it? - It is. - If he'd nice see if more sports people did that, rather than sit on the fence with splinters in there and ask. - I like talking about Bryson. - Bryson De Shambard is a golfer. A very good one. - He got penalized two shots after the round. And yeah, it was a long delay because he had to go back out there and some people didn't really want to come in on it that a friend of them and Rory wasn't afraid to say his thoughts on it and it was refreshing to hear because not many professional athletes like to come in on them. I like to sit on the fence. - Oh, who cares? - Let's get to this race. Well, favorite razor-lutely, she resumed against stars of DOM, which was the stable mate. That was over 1200 meters and she just knocked up late. Maybe fitness got her. - I'd say so. - I like her back to 1100 year. Nice map. - Well, the only thing I care about this race is my grandfather has a horse running in this race. - Go on. - Bryson Panda is the horse that my grandfather has running in this race. So I'm gonna go to Corefield on Saturday and watch it. So I'm very excited. He was meant to run at Warnable on Thursday. - Well, you've made the trek to Warnable? - Absolutely not. But they decided to scratch the horse because it was gonna be very wet at Warnable and they had drawn white and they decided they're gonna give Flamie's, sorry, Corefield had a crack and see how it goes. So that's very exciting. So I don't think this race is particularly that strong. - Just on the jumpouts of that horse. It looks like they've tried to neck it a little bit. - Their jumpouts were pretty good. And I think they think-- - Looks like they were trying to get a bit of a price on Dave Rood and me. - Well, I think that they do have a bit of an opinion of it. And I'm not trying to tip anyone into this, but it does look like it has an opinion that-- - The jockey had sore arms. - The mum is a half to Nicolene Vito, who we all know, group three winner, good family. - Their foot tear, I want, that's the issue. - Yeah, well, I mean, what else are they gonna get this time of year? No offense to the jockey's riding on Saturday, but move on next runner. - Brought, Brosson was a very good jump out, and I thought his win last preparation was very good. - So you've brazen, brazen to the chamber. - Yeah, look, honestly, I haven't done this race to absolute death. I don't really care about it. I'm not gonna be betting in it. I might have something small on brazen panda on something on the panel. - I'm gonna say we're going in and say this. - For the sake of it. But yeah, let's move on. We're spending way too long on this. I'm gonna be-- - Didn't you have a bet? - Yeah, I'm gonna back-resolutely. I think she's a fantastic bet. You can get $5.50 with the bet boost currently with bet.
365 back to 1100 meters and who's the jockey that beat her last time well it was Craig Williams on Stars of Dom he jumps onto her she maps lovely from barrier five she's already got the run under the belt over the likes of Garnas at Khan and Jacaranda and Rebel Tuesday and Brazen to Shambu and Jacaranda I think we're we saw each other last preparation I think we're going to see other people now because she just kept pulling her head off and I'm sick of backing horses who overrace all the time and she overrace a little bit in her jump out as well so she's got all the talent in the world but she can't win races if she's I'm pulling for half of the event so resolutely for me race three we move on it is 1100 meter handicap and we've got Tennessee Bound is $1.75 it's come up very short a few bets already in this benchmark 84 for it from Lunar Cat 550 Buddenut Princess $10 salsa fellow 11s and behaviour 11s and we'll also mention Vestas at $13. Niko new ball goes to you here I think we'll get slightly better than the current price for Tennessee Bound and I think we'll be collecting Lunar cats the main dangers are embedding please Tennessee Bound was really good last time and every other run of its career so horse it keeps improving it's a horse that is black type and it's not in a black type race on the weekend I will just touch on there'll be some people that think $1.70 at the moment is short where I think probably $1.70 right now is fair I think we will get better but yes you got $2 last time in a lesser race but I think you've also got a factor in you were very much spoiled last time should have been $1.30 $1.40 at one accordingly and you got spoiled because the market didn't know what was going on now the markets finally clued on you may be paying a bit of potential tax but to me the potential tax that you're paying this time you got more over his last time so it's all going to work out in the wash a little bit and I think it'll be a good bet and we will collect but I think there's no rush to bet now I'm happy to take around the current quote if that's the current quote we're getting comes out of day but yeah I'm really happy to be a Tennessee Bound I think it's she's a certainty and I think she'll win yep I agree rating last up was good it was a slight new career peak I think no any 3.1 or has she gone better than that but no she's gone better than that she has gone oh she's sorry at Kramer and she's she had that big win I think it's probably the second best performance just looking for a forking ratings was a track work girl I actually like her back to 1100 meters in this sort of company she'll control the race from barrier one there's no speed the only other speed in this race is a horse that is in the chair who used to be able to go forward in a patchy song but she's just not racing she's not racing like the animal she once was she misses medieval she does so I think this is all about Tennessee Bound I do think $1.70 there's no need to be taking that price right now but I think she'll lead them a marry dance I think she'll win soft track is good core field is good and the jabs Johnson claim down to 54 and a half is excellent I do think the danger is Luna cat six dollars 50 probably would have been slightly over she's been she's been clipped in a little bit to 550 but yeah I sort of disagree I think maybe she's best on a faster track who Tennessee Bound I and I also think she's best at 1200 I was a little bit not disappointed disappoint as the wrong word but I think she was the it was just heavily heavily biased over that 1200 meter should there it sand down that rouse in run position was so advantage she had it and she went fast she did go fast but I you know I I $1.70 short is what I'm saying I think she starts bigger than even money I think that's quite confident in that I'm a good job the the issue that you have in this race is what do you back to beta and there's not a whole lot of speed she's going to control the pace up front with probably a patchy song and then she's probably just going to sprint and but yeah it's hard you have to bet back something to beta and the horse that I want to have something on to beta is Vestas who I've always had a good opinion of I think was was playing first up but they went so slowly there and she was good the last 400 meters she can't improve I think such a long horse yeah I mean she only had nine stars one from nine she's my sort of horse but look she's got to turn a foot and if they just sit up here I think if she can camp off her off the favor I think she you know you get a double figures for a horse that is you know she started favorite in group three races previously and it's only been one star yeah maybe she's but you can't go to her level it's good when she's spot them you can you can afford to have those sorts of bets at the price she is so she'll run a 10 1/2 split home from last she run the fastest maybe maybe but the race will be over then maybe she'll spot them 10 get beat six you can afford to have a battle race race for three or eleven hundred meter handicap signature sent three dollars 80 from afterburner 550 Prince Tyker in six dollars fifty far side at seven fifty there is just about been no moves in this race so far and I think the market has got it pretty right here but the only one I thought maybe blink his first time is Prince Tyker and this is hard this is just a this just doesn't look ahead this this this is a race where you the the top of the market is so stagnant they're not going anywhere so you look toward the middle pinners are a lightly raised sprinter that might be able to take the next step and just go straight past these stagnant favorites that are you know they've had their day and the sun where they've they've won their races as a three year old but they're not improving you look you look to find the one to to improve past and it's just not there and I wish they're oh should wish there was one that you could just latch on to and and and back to to go straight past the the the signature sense and the Prince Tyker in the world and maybe that is faster to but I hate backing horses second up off long spells and it and it did it did run really really well last start making the same sort of swooping run street artists did at Corefield and street artists was heavily supported there last week at Flamies and what a go that was it was off the map but as I said I hate backing horses second up off really long spells and I wouldn't be surprised at all of it uh the regressors on that the the one that I think maybe beautiful bevy who sat outside the lead to the Graham bag queen queen peter queen peter um sat outside the lead of it and capitulated ran second but think it might be able to you know it's going to put itself up on speed gets in light uh might be able to to improve third up but other than that it's just a just a very hard race I'm happy to move on happy to move on Nico yeah last race before the Cordy legs is race five benchmark hundred over the mile first chorus two dollars forty interesting betting goes here he started to she started to drift then she got smashed in now she's just back out to 240 again from c4 six dollars it's been well supported in from 750 detonated jacks five fifty out to six dollars fifty saint lions seven dollars fifty and Jimmy the bear is ten dollars well this race I looked at and I I didn't think first chorus was going to go up so short but I think this is just a I think it's a good example of the bookies pricing to the wait for age ratings especially after this climb yeah one hundred percent and at first chorus gets in so well but no with everything considered um but she's 240 and that is just too short like I mean if anyone's I mean that everyone's entitled to their opinion but I I think there's there's no way that you could put a number next to first chorus and say that there's value in 240 and um I think what what will probably happen is that she'll she'll probably start three dollars maybe slightly bigger than that three twenty three forty three fifty even maybe and she'll probably she'll probably win but um I mean I marked her three dollars um I mean in the race in this race I I the the horse that I've currently got as is is a little bit too big in the market is Magnus bin and that's that's such an uncomfortable scenario to be in where the only horse you can back in a race is Magnus bin so what I'll do is um wait and probably I mean I probably don't have an ass race to be blatantly I'll see that it's it's very hard dead dead at a jack I mean that that that we're a championship final didn't rate particularly strongly um you know that the first three would have trifecta would have paid like a million dollars I still thought it was a good win like he he had to check check off heels at a certain stage and I was looking through his a form and I'm I was thinking where where the hell is this coming from Nico detonator jack winning after he had duck eggs at the start of the preparation then I saw the blinkers went on first time there and they're staying on here and maybe maybe just maybe he's a different horse with these blinkers on top but I don't even think that numbery ran last time like would warrant him being I mean like I think he's
pretty much just ran to what he's been doing for the like the last 12 months. It's not like he's improved out of sight. It was just probably improved with fitness. Maybe the blinkers did switch him on a little bit, but it improves off the first two performances. Yeah, I'm in. That's hard not to. They were both really bad. So maybe it was the blinkers. Maybe it was just fitness. I'm not sure like there's so many different factors that go into that. St. Lawrence is absolutely airborne. For Gav, but draws nine. I'd love to see him try and push forward and put him into a position early, but I mean that he's limited by his early gates better thing. But the move probably is to just try and put him into the race because he's always just running on like a if he sits behind first chorus, I mean he's probably not going to win. So why are you winning in summer into the race? In summary, what's the play? Because first chorus is beaten, mack day and by a short head last start. However, she's mighty short right now and she has been up a very long time. Let's have a look. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. I think this is a night start of the prep. Eighth run of the prep. She's still hard to beat. I want better. If I start getting $7.58, I'll detonate a jack that I'm probably on him, Hway. What's your summation? My summation is that first chorus probably is not going to be about for me and then I'm not really interested in backing anything. I'll set aside a from backness, bendance and larynz. But if I hear from Gav that they're going to go roll forward, then I'm definitely interested in some larynz. Okay, the first leg of the quality here at Corefield is race six. And what I will say about these first six races is our bet three six five 25% winnings plus boost is races one to six at Corefield and Ramick this Saturday. A brilliant promotion, which I've been absolutely loving and taking advantage of and you should too. So to activate that one, you just click on horses odds and it'll automatically load into your bet slip. Just make sure you do tick that check box. All right, race six is our staying event for the day. Three year olds 2400 meters open. He kept Kings reflections. Been a really good go here. $4.20 to $3.60 from deck log $4.00. Brilliant. He's got his biggest sevens at one stage out Chief 750. Dernacee eight 50 in Harbourtown $10. Interesting race here. Well, because deck log he pulled his head off going back a few weeks ago now. Now he gets to the 2400 meters. He's been up a long time and I don't love that he overraced last start at the 2000 off a slow tempo. So my first thought when I looked at this race was to be against him. I also don't think he will stay a mile and a half. And I agree with everything you just said as well. I'm very worried about his prospects of staying a mile and a half in general. And I think that might have been the reason that they decided to not go to the Mahogany Series final and went to the 2000 meter race two weeks ago, four and a half years ago. What I will say is he's got a couple gear changes. So Norton bit on and crossover nose band off. So I'm guessing that's Kirin trying to tinker with the gear and get him to not overrace. But there was still somewhat worrying signs. For sure. I think he's a dodgy favourite at around that sort of four dollar mark though. I think that it's, this is a far wide, more wide open race than what I think that the current market would suggest. King's reflection has his place. That's for sure. I'd probably make him the favourite sort of starting point. Brilliant Taza as well has to be there. It's all like those three have to sort of be the top three. And then you've got Dernacea who is there at Corefield was wide through a large portion of the trip into the strong headwind. Would you have to bonus? And then our sheep is another one who I consider a non-stayer engine of war. We've seen him over a mile and a half a couple times. He doesn't stay harbour town. Probably just missing that little bit of zing. And the one that I, you know, it's a tricky day for a best bet especially on a Wednesday and the, you know, there'll be much more movement in the markets between now and Saturday. The best bet for me personally across the card at this current point would be for a area at the price he is because I just think he's entitled to be alongside the ones at the top of the market because I loved what I just don't think that 2,000 metre-asit Core
field where they walked and went very slowly. We learned nothing. We learned nothing from that. But what I did learn from that though is that he was outpaced in a race that was turned into a sit and sprint home. And he did look like he belonged and he was one of the, he was the equal second fastest last 200 on the meeting. So he's got the talent. He's looking for a mile and a half. And there's just a few here that just don't look like they're looking for that mile and a half. I think he gets a decent map. He gets a lot of weight relief off the top few. And I just think he's, you know, he could be just the one that's going to make that massive step. He's only at start three. So I do think that Ferrario is the one that, you know, might shorten significantly on race day and might be the one you want to be on for sure right now. Yeah. My starting point is King's reflection and brilliant Tess R. I thought brilliant Tess R. Well, she was exactly that last time around. She looks a genuine stayer of these. She's done it off fast tempo. She's done it off slow tempo. I love that she's already ticked the mile and a half box. And let's be honest, she was pretty dominant last time in. She put a length and a half on King's reflection who was momentarily held up and does meet a kilo and a half better at the weights, gets the winch is on. So I understand why the move has come for King's reflection, especially off that last start starting price. However, I probably wouldn't have so much between them. Brilliant Tess R. She was just awesome last time around and I can see where she doesn't get at the chance to be in Oaxfilly because she's going to turn four very soon. But I can see her running well in some of these sort of lower, lower black type staying features in the spring. So I think brilliant Tess R. If we get $7 for her, that's too big. And King's reflection, well, he won't go around the loser for me. Maybe a Tess R. Yeah. Why not? Is that the race that changed to 2000 metres? Yeah. The one that you had changed, that many fell in. Yeah, that was all me. Yeah, all Ben's fault. From a mild of the 2040. Nika, any thoughts? No, no real thoughts. I think there's a handful of chances and if I could bank on deckalogue not being end of prepping, being written properly, I would probably be backing me again at $4, but I don't trust what's going to be said and what's going to happen. King's reflection. I don't know if he's a core field horse, to be honest. That's probably my only knock on him. Yeah. I'm not going to say any more because we're wasting time and I've got no real clarity on the race. Can I ask a dumb question? Well, wouldn't be first. Yeah. Is the cox plate this year going to be around of a 2040 or 2000? No, 2,000 metres unfortunately. Yeah. Okay. Shit. No, that doesn't really matter. Is that confirmed? Well, I've tried to do it. I've tried to find this information out and everyone that I've sort of heard speak about it has only said 3000 metres. I don't know if Flemington's able to run it at 2040. It's a 3000 metre shoot. They're not moving the winning post. I think I could extend the start run at 2040 if they wanted to. I'd be able to run a cox plate track record. Stand by. Stand by on that one. I don't know if they can run 24. I thought they were going to run it over 2040, but maybe we'll just check up on that. All right. Race 7, the bletchingly staked, scoop 3, weight for age, which means it's a good kickoff point for the highest rated horse in the race in Cosby Crusader. 110 rated gets you no weight for age. $3.40 from Winners Edge 350. Miravile Rose 550. Watch me win. It's been a drift. I'll fly about to 6. Zoo sensation. Damn. We haven't taken the price. It's been clipped 12 into 850. And recommendation is $11. Now we're all saying, why is hard kick resuming in July if he's targeting a cool more stud stakes? And can't the same be said for Cosmic Crusader if they're talking about him like a cox plate horse? Even I've heard that the massive target is the Memzie. Okay. So third up Memzie. So what even I like while the iron's hot? I've heard that they go in this heavy Lawrence Memzie and then I use them a carburetor. They carburetor. Or there was an article that said to cox plate a couple weeks ago. Yeah. I'm sure that'll be. So they'll go. They'll go. They'll go PB Lawrence. They'll go. Macaulby. Yeah. And they'll go into probably something like a temple or a Corfield stakes or a Corfield you probably go Corfield stakes with him. You're a chance to agree one here that is away from the temple. Go to cox plate and then he'll go back to Perth for one round. Yeah. Well, I mean something really like his. His best guess. That's a good campaign. He can race deep into a campaign. Well, he did prove that last time in actually. His best chance at winning a race like a group one race in the East is being hard fit and being. He's not beating she's an alibi. Well, is she's alibi running in the Memzie? Yeah. Oh. He's not running a place in the Memzie. Good luck. He's not beating horses like she's are. There's nothing wrong with winning a PB Lawrence. Yeah. He'll be a great bet in the PB Lawrence next up. No, there's nothing wrong with a PB Lawrence.
That's very true. - Cany Winnier is 1200 meters just way too short. - I mean, no, he was, he knows that by overpass and Ray Bagnier in the Galgrashev of a 4-2 meters. - That's 400 meters. - 400 meters is very, very different to 1200 meters. I know that, but, and he's drawn one, which might not be the place to be by that stage of the day. - But, he is the best horse in this race for me. - He's not the best horse in this race at 1200 meters. I'd say if he was cranked he would be. - Yeah, but he's not cranked. - Yeah, I know. - This jump out was good. I just, I just don't know if I can have him at $3.40 from barrier one with all these bigger fish to fry ladle on in the preparation. I look at this race, I go, Cosmic Crusade up. Yes, you're the best horse in the race. If you get out to a big price and I'm not gonna be losing on you, when is the edge $3.50? You've had your berth there the last two. I don't think you run a strong 1200 meters. Watch me, Winn. I also don't think you run a strong 1200 meters. So it leaves me to mirror of our roads. Who drew barrier eight last time? She needs our draws barrier two. She's gonna sit right up there on the speed. She's second up over the 1200 meters. So she gets the other 100 meters. Second up last preparation. She's beaten Stretten Angel. And she's run to a weight-fraged number of sort of 95 and a half. I think it's good going. If we get $6,000, I'm very happy. And Zuse sensation, I'll hand the microphones you. I love this race and jump out between runs and I think he can be a big, big, big improver. - Hashtag back. - Yeah. - Is Zuse sensation? Yeah, I think $10, we're shopping earlier today. It was a fantastic price. I think you could get really aggressive if you wanted to a mark him near enough to favor it. He's the most suited to, huh? - I was just laughing at your statement. - Well, I think there's, I think there's merit to it. 'Cause I think Winn is Edgeham watching me win and not 1200 meters horses. And I don't think, you know, you've got to respect Merival Roads, but I think she'll be better third up 1400. And I don't think Cosmic Cruc, I know Cosmic Crucator's not a 1200 meter horse. So, to me. - No, it's got holes in this race. - To me, if you wanted to be really arrogant, I think it's not completely stupid marking Zuse sensation near enough to favor it. I thought he was gonna be more like a five or six dollar chance and he's near enough to double that. Yeah, I think he's a fantastic bet. He'll roll forward. He's got a good record at Corefield. 12 to 400 meters is absolutely his sweet spot. He'll appreciate a little bit of giving the track and he's recent jumpouts have shown to me that he's back on track. He's a good horse. - He's a good horse. You know what you're gonna get up on speed? No fuss, sort of competitor. And I think he's gonna run an absolute bowl race. I think the price is currently on office stupid and he's clearly the best value on the day. - But thoughts, I reckon there's a good chance at Miravile Rose and Zuse sensation really could control this race and run it to their likening. - Yeah, I mean, that's what I was gonna say. I feel like those are the two horses that I'm most likely to back in this race. I marked Zuse sensation nine dollars and I marked the Miravile Rose sort of five, seven, but five, you know, five, 50, if you're talking in the odds terms. So I feel like you're likely to get a little bit bigger than that for both of them on the day and they will control the race, which I think is going to be a massive advantage because there is an abundance of speed here. Maybe recommendations can come across and maybe he's slightly interesting too. - He hasn't been settling as nearly recently. - No, I know, which is making me half querian not one about him, but yeah. Zuse sensation Miravile Rose, the two, which is all very comfy for us all because those are the two horses we're all interested in. - Beautiful. - So they're probably bathless. - Close me crusader by four. (laughing) - Well, if he comes out and wins impressively, you put your hands together and you go, this is the real deal. - He beats you at 12 out of your copper. - Well, also at the same time, like without disrespecting them at all, it does make me feel a little bit uncomfortable that he's been trained by the leaks. Like, I know that they've got a long history of training good horses, blah, blah, whatever. But they do. - Do they? - I mean, I don't know. - They've got the relationship with Bob. - Do they? - It's why they're training. - Gareth was saying this could be the best horse they've ever put a sword on. - I thought that there was a history of the leaks. Like, haven't they? I'm not, you know, my history in life, seems not as strong as some peoples, but I don't know. I don't know. Of course, Miravile Crusader's a better horse and Western Empire. We didn't see the best of Western Empire when he came here. - Oh, yeah. - But like, they're talking like, Cosmic Crusader's the second best horse from W8 to come here, all behind the arcade here, Queen. - What? - He'd been the top five. - He'd been the top five, but I don't think he's the second best horse from W8. - He was a nice horse. - So, what do you go? Arcadia Queen number one. - Well, all time you're saying. - No, in the last like, period. - Yeah. - Last five, 10 years. - Western Empire's two. - Very good power. - Very good power one and all star more. - Miravile's duel. - He's probably, he's probably, he's probably comparative to Miravile's, he's probably comparative to Miravile. - I think the duel in front of him right now. - Well, Miravile's duel came here and, yeah, maybe she didn't deliver on what she, necessarily promised coming from W8, but she still come here and won. - She still broke a track record and beat pride to Jenny. - And then the market thought of Miravile's duel was gonna be. - I know some of those other horses that wear the Saracen white one group one tier, like, you know, super storm and co-op, they're cool at all. - So they're pretty queen, I think. - So they're pretty queen, wanna know who they play? - Oh, half one and oak. - Dead hater with Portland's go on. - Let's move on. - He'd wanna come over here and win a group one and a solid group one, like, - Yeah. - There's a, I'm not saying that he's overrated, but like, the hype on him is the luck of getting in. - I tell you what's his race. The Underwood Stakes is his race. - Well, Phil, it's Stakes, you're good win. - Oh, we don't know what's going on. - I would go to a temple with him. - Yeah, none of the good horses go to them. The Miten Power, we should be using your section name now. - Yeah. - All right, race eight, I think this is an absolute snooze first, benchmark 84, 2000, at a boat race, Amleto, $4.60 from MacDane, $5, stop the rock, $8.7.5, a ole in 750 in from 10s, and Prince Eric, the last up, we're not $9. But, be quick, you know, this sucks. - No, I'm here, but I can hear you. - This is probably one of the best races of the day. - Oh, kidding. - I'm warned. - I mean, from a spectacle point of you anyway. - Turn it around. - The Kings Horse has been well backed early, and I understand why it's run good figures overseas, and it gets in with 50 kilos. - It's not yielded water. - And it was, it's actually a half, half, it's gilded water. (laughing) - It's a half, that's really bad, Ben. You're better than that. - It's a half sister, something that's been over here for a while. Does it hear a half sister, does it hear a, - Another pretender. - Good splits first up, can improve a Marlon Cora. Beachpad was the one that is too big for me. - Man, I mean, I marked AOL in 750, and it's been well backed, so. - And she's a mayor, so my joke makes no sense anyway. - No, it's all, it was just, it was no good. - I got a laugh at it, Nicar, so I'm happy with that. - Well, that's a very low bar. - Race nine, three-year-old open handicap, over 1,400 meters, we see the return of Mr. Brightside. Hold on, actually, it's a cruiserweight, $2.20 going around, third up here. He's been well supported in from $2.50, from Celtics, $480, $6.50. My Charlotte, $7.00. - That's a lot. - It is jewel accepted, barking mad, he's $10.00. I'll go first, best of the day, he cruises away. He's up to the 58.50 kilos here, but I really don't think it matters. He was utterly dominant last start off a very fast tempo. He was momentarily held up at the top of the straight, but once Craig Williams switched off, he was got him to the outside. He was going two to their one late. I think he's final four-and-a-meters, was about two lengths faster than Celtics, who he beat by a length. And we've seen these good horses, they can go through the grades, they can carry the weight. We've already seen Clever Trevor do it this winter, and I just think that he's going to go on with a job. We've also seen him do it off two strong tempos, and in New Zealand, I don't think they went any great pace there. So I think he's quite adaptable, and the sign of a good horse is one who can sprint off fast and slow tempos. And I think that's exactly what he's going to do from a nice barrier up in six. Craig sticks with all things alive there. I do think the horse that would be the big improver is Jenny gone bonkers, because they went such a fast tempo last time, and she was punching the breeze four wide no-cover on a day, which was hard to do it, and she's still stuck on late. So I think she can run a place at $13, but it's all about the cruise away from her. Do you agree? The cruise away looks awfully hard to beat. I think the main danger is Mart ShAllah, but that hopefully will go to Ranvik, which we'll touch on shortly, but yeah. Cruise away was really good last night and that. And yeah, it looks promising. Yeah, should be in the right part of the track. Hopefully it'll be a good way to end the day. Beautiful. We might touch on something a little later. Might be the last league of the multi. Oh, it might be. It might just. You never know you're luck in the big city, but I'm fair enough we're in the big city tonight, so you never know you're luck. I thought the favourite was a 260 chance. I had no interest in backing up the price. This is the horse that starts off on. No, I would, I think it probably doesn't start the price and is now, I think it probably starts to be. But you told the listeners not to take $2.60, Angel Tury. Was I-- Starts a dollar, 60? Well.
Well, was was I wrong for a certain stage? There was about five minutes. There was that where I was right, where I was right. I was right. And then I did I did a bet, did I bet again in that stage? Yes, I did. Right on. Yes. Shut up. Also, don't take 260. Because you'll get better after deductors. That was a better price. No. No. That's a stretch. It was close. Such a stretch. It was close. That's a huge stretch. Well, it was still, anyway. Elastic band snapped. Whatever. So you've got the favourite on top, but no interest in back then. Yeah. I think Luddlam is definitely one that's interesting just on SPs. Like it was heavily supported in on Cup Day. Japanese jockey on it. Yeah. They'll get lost. They all get lost at Coolfield. Okay. Anyway, no, it was disappointing at Flameter on Cup Day, but this horse seems to have ability one really well. First up, sorry, excuse me. And then was, you know, in the market and the cross-expects, I think that there wasn't really an excuse at all. It was awfully disappointing. He was awfully disappointing, but you can easily just forgive some of those runs. Sometimes it's a really comfy bet when you get 20-1 for Graeme Baggen and a horse that has had expectation of it. And, you know, there doesn't really need to be an excuse for it. It was just put a line through it. He just set up with a joke. Yeah, sure, but it's 20-1. It's a really cheap bet to have for a horse that, you know, has the ability to win a race like this. I don't think she's a wet tracker. I don't think he's a wet tracker. Love them. Maybe. But. There's just no possible way. It's 20-1. And if Graeme begs, pretty switched on. If he doesn't, he's here on top. He's here on top. He's here on top. He's here on top. His hips don't lie. A Kira Sugawara. He's so bad. He loves a point and he loves a dart. And he goes, so. Does he? Probably a jockey. He's going with him very well. Still won't. Still won't hide the fact that he's going to get lost at Corpio's in the last shot. I might get lost even more. He's going to go, "What's this soft track?" All right, that's a wrap of Flamings. And, Remwick, we'll just go through this quickly, Nico, because you've got a couple. The Raos out 11 is a soft seven, but it's clear conditions for the next couple days. So, interesting how this track plays, I would suggest you don't want to be too far off the speed with the rally up that far, but it might be similar to Corpio that there might just be a few golden lanes just off the fence. And, Eric and we might, hopefully, we start on a soft six because it doesn't look like there's much rain over the next couple days, but, you know, it is Sydney town. They can get it when it's not forecasted. Your bets. Race two in the highway. I thought number eight maples was a good chance. This is the unbeaten daughter of the autumn sun. Step to 800 metres looks beneficial. I just thought the favourite was awfully short of the even money. It was turned over to $50 last time, beaten by Leavani, who's here as a third favourite, but maples are going to have 54 kilos after their claim. Maps are going to be good run. Yeah, I just thought better than $5 was just an easy bet to have. So, I'm happy to have something small on there. We go to race number four. I'm hoping number five, martiala. Rocks up here. Looks a great race for it. I would be, if I was the racing manager for Cure, and I'm 100% coming here and not racing. Cure's awake. This looks a very winable race for martiala. Cure's barrier for. Looks to camp in a good spot. Main day is a drawm wide. Going to be giving ground. Martiala can be up on speed. A little bit of cut in the track. It won't be an issue. Yeah, I'm pretty keen that I think that's a good bet. It's sort of around the four-dollar mark. For martiala in race number four. And then, obviously, we had the way to week for race number nine. Number five, I school, but I think copy and paste from what we said last week. I think even money looks an absolute gift. Yes, you've got hawk a hawk here, but I'm not sort of too worried. Yes, Ben, you alluded to. You've got J-Mac vs J-Ford, but yeah. J-Macs on a fire and fury horse, I believe. So as long as ice-cools, manners are maintainable for J-Ford, I think it's a point and shoot. Oh my god, fill up job. He looks an absolute model. I think he looks. I'm a shit, oh my god. I think even money looks. I think even money looks a very good, in-tossing price and, yeah, I'll be balls deep, so. Yeah, it looks fantastic. Oh, boy. And, yeah, that's all I sort of really had for Remick. I thought, um, Western Misko's around in race number three at Belmont. No prices out yet, but, um, obviously, on the back up again, but it was dominant last week. Looks very another suitable race for her. Obviously she's got a bit part A, so that's some resistance, but, um, yeah, hopefully we get around that even money mark and happy to be with her again. I wrote some notes on the ice-cool race. I do like that he's been saved for this, because last week, that track got very heavy, racing like a genuine heavy-ten, heavy-nine. What are you interested in seeing how that race went last week? I know Rosalind stars not really an 11-hundred meter horse, but Zach Lloyd took the initiative, which he's done a couple of times. He did it a couple of times again today. Just rode them like the best horse in the race, and Rosalind star was the best horse in that race after ice-cool came out and sort of took bad luck out of the equation. So Rosalind stars being a horse that's sort of gotten back and not exactly run over the top of horses, so it would have been interesting to see what had what had happened if ice-cool was there, but. Ice-cool would add her on a peak to better. Yeah, definitely. Any more. It's easy to say that with Rosalind star doing what he did. There's nothing to say. If he might Rosalind star would have done what he did if ice-cool was there, because I don't think the map would have been the same. He might run a peak on Saturday. It's going to be interesting. You actually can tie the Hawkehaw formline in with Rosalind star, because Hawkehaw led on the goal coach and put two lengths on Rosalind star. Obviously Rosalind star has improved since then and ran a big number last Saturday, but. I think Hawkehaw, Jay Mac back in the saddle from barrier four, he's probably going to lead, or maybe just sit right in that box set, and he's going to provide a very strong challenge for ice-cool. I'm still going to have ice-cool on top. His last three ratings have been like 97. So he's a very good horse, and even though he's only been winning by like a short margin last start, he was three wide-knock over the whole way. He had a lot of weight to carry. There's genuinely enough one there. That covered ground all day and once, so there's more to that performance. Yeah, definitely. And I think you just have to trust the rating a little bit. The only thing with ice-cool is he's still a little bit green. He's still doing a few things wrong. But tempo may help him. He can, although he must have speed, he can actually half miss the start, and then sort of rally after 50 metres, 100 metres, and he usually settles somewhere near the speed. But yeah, you just want to iron out those chinks as you go through the grades. I think the better race is that he's in the better hillbie, because there should be more tempo, and that would just allow him to get into rhythm, and I think he'll leave an turn of speed on a fast pace will be even better than what it currently is. Yeah. Really exciting to see how he goes on the week. And I think, yeah, he's got some resistance, but I like that Hawke Hall's in the race. And I think it'll be beneficial for him. Absolutely. Bought to you everything around the grounds? No. Nope, straight out. Nicko or anything else? No, I touched on everything for me. All right. The only other. No, no, jumps this way, Con Sunday. The only other race that everyone's going to have there, eyes glued to this Saturday night is the King George Stakes at Ascot, over 24 metres. Last year was won by Kalan again. Kalan again is again the favourite. This year we won by Kalan again. He's Kalan again. Kalan again again. He's around the $2.40 mark with Bet365 from. To get you, Benavuto Chalene. 430. Muscrade ball for 50. Calpano is a brilliant man. $8 mini Hawke. Ran second in the arc. Last year he's $8 as well. It's a bloody fantastic race, but I think Kalan again, he gets his firm track. It looks like it's going to be sort of 25-26 degrees. On Saturday at Ascot, which he doesn't always for this meeting, you can get rain, sort of, probably more so champions day, but you can get rain at this time of year in England. But I just think he's going to dominate them yet again. His win in France last time was pretty dominant. I hate the fact that Barza just gives him so much work to do from way back in the field. You should get a genuine enough tempo with Lamborn and some of these other Adenobrines sort of bolsters down the bottom. Wanting to put on the tempo for your likes of Benito. Ben-Vanito Chileni. I think that will set up for Kalan again as well. You can probably argue whether he's better at 2,000 or 2,400 metres. But I think he'll take care of these Ben-Vanito Chileni, the three-year-old is priced way too short off the WN. I don't know if he's that good, is he? It's hard to tie in those three-year-old formlines. I think he's way too short. I think Muscrade ball and Calpano are probably the two dangers. Muscrade ball, the Japanese horse, yes, he pushed Kalan again to a neck in that Japan Cup going back to November last year. But you always query whether the Japanese can do it and ask what first time? Happy to take him on. So am I. But do you have any thoughts on the King George? Just, I've seen a market, and I think probably the Japanese horse is probably too big, but then again, I prefer if the Japanese horse didn't win because I find the Japanese racing fans on Twitter to testable. Yeah, to testable. Yeah, to testable. Yeah, so I hope it loses and I can twit on Twitter. Was it wet track? Was it guys? And then I can't like to see bots best. Are you telling me you're not friends with Graham in Archi? God, they do.
(laughing) - All right, let's move on to the podcast multi. We are gonna take a travel this weekend, Niko. So long as the traders allow it. It's gonna be race three. - Yeah, that's in my man, bro. - Core field Tennessee bound, currently $170. - Race nine, man. - A brand-new. - If you're listening, ice cool. $2 is dead. - We're always dead, dude. - We're coming to get you. - If we're gonna be clipping up these reals, you told me. - No one can be into up to you. - Start again, start again, start again, start again. - I'm gonna start again. - Start again, start again. - So the podcast multi this weekend, punters will be race three at Core Field. Tennessee bound $170 into race nine, Ramwick Ice Cool, currently $210, and then Cruiserweight, race nine, Core Field $220. We are gonna go for the travel this weekend. Three very popular horses. - It's been a hungry hippo. - Well, I think it's the right week for it. And I think these three horses are going to be very, very popular in betting. The current price, unbooted, $7.85. Hopefully we can pop that up to around the $10 mark. Tennessee bound it should lead them in Merida and some barrier one. It's gonna be hard to hold out. She might get a little bit of a drift as well. Might get better. Ice Cool $210 looks a great price. I think the only danger is probably hawker haul. - No dangers. - Who does bring in that Rolls and Starr formline and Cruiserweight? Well, they call him the next Mr. B. I wouldn't go that far, but I think he can keep rising through the grades. He gets the podcast multi-obey, might be the next Mr. B. - And I don't think going up for four kilos at the way it's gonna do him any harm. He looks a very nice horse and can continue to progress. - Yep, well, Captain's shoulders this week. You've led from the front. - And I've got no say in it this week. So if it loses, then I've got no say that. You relinquish your choice of dineys and I don't really like anything used boys can sort it out this week. - Well, I'm just saying I've got no part in the blame. So if anyone wants to rip on the podcast for losing this week, it's their fault. - That's what I'm saying. - Box hook on an odds-on-favorite that won by four last week. In Ko-Fan-Yan, and he's second pick was. - And he won that Black Run. - And he's second pick was Black Run. - Who are dead set. If you own Black Run, we hope you took a photo when they went past the post the first time. - And it was all bots fault. So that's where you belong. - No, if you own Black Run, I'd have a talk to the trainers 'cause you should have gone faster. - Shooting on faster. - I'll beat by further. Let's move on to some questions. It is question time. That time of the podcast, we go to the Twitter ones first. Chris, the cast are one of the great contributors to the great Chris. - Thank you Chris. - He's an OG. Podcast question segment time. If Cruzway gets beaten on Saturday, how much of the population will be eating Maggie Noodles for the next four or nine? - Well, it will be the last thing of the podcast multi. So, Braden and the trainers won't be eating this. They might be eating Noodles or we might be. - Yeah. One of us will be eating caviar. The other will be eating Noodles. And to be fair, the Maggie Noodles, they go all right. I prefer the comfort food. - I prefer oysters and caviar. - No, I prefer, what are they called? The Megorang. - Megorang Noodles. I prefer those, those are my go. - Now, do you put the fried egg in your Megorang? Or no, sometimes. - Just an even feeling just an even. - That's good. - Kim Ned, big week for the projected multi with Tennessee bound and Cosmic Crusader. Well, you got one of them right. Will you be previewing the Darwin Cup and Palmerston in the next week's show, Punniser Club trip inbound to the Northern Territory? - Yeah, we'll cover the, - But you actually. - We'll cover a bit of Darwin. - We'll be though. - Are you serious? - Yeah. - Or Marla's also gonna be the top. - Oh, what's the call to get? Storm we're getting. - Tim Yeatman's in it as well. - Yeah, there's a bunch of them. That'll win. - Yeah, they're pretty keen on it. - They'll win. - Anyway. - My biggest grow up on Northern Territory racing is that they call it the Darwin turf club. And they race on stinky breeder. - You've been going on about that for years. - Well, how can you call it the Darwin turf club and race on dirt? - Doesn't make any sense. - It's like Colin Wimbleden hard courts. - I don't know, I made that up. - Rowan Greger, Nico, does Cosmic Crusader just win on Saturday after coming across from the West? - No. - There you go. Joey, believe how do we listen to the potty? I left the Spotify link there. If you don't have a subscription to Spotify, you can also find these podcasts on the RSS on our feeder websites. So just search RSS racing previews in your Google search bar and you'll be able to find it that way for free as well. Legend 26, when does the podcast shop? It'll be around 9.30 pm every Wednesday night. The master tip start, podcasts in the nutshell. Cruiserweight will be the best at Corefield, ice cool, the best at Rammic, and one will both will get rolled. - That's an excellent call. I mean, it's not that hard to make that call. I've put Cruiserweight in the photo when I posted about the question about promoting this podcast and Nico was declaring ice cool last week. So you don't have to be a genius to work out both. We're gonna be in the podcast. - There are also the two short as favourites on the podcast. - They're not. - It's a shut up, aren't they? - Well, first chorus you've got, you've also got Tennessee bound. - Yeah, okay. - Shove that in your part, it's my good book. - Panta, Esher is racing at Eagle Farm Race Ford. You reckon she can bounce back? - 800 metres race. - I did look at this race, 1000 metres. - Where's Rodder? - Benny Thompson for Tony Garland. She's got to carry 60 kilos. - No, she can't carry 60 kilos. - She's about 60 kilos herself. - She's an aunt. - Yeah, so she can carry that. - So for those of you who don't know, Esher is a very lean, very scrawny skinny, literally, she's a bit squibby. We think she might have only been a two-year-old. And look, she might prove us wrong, but she's up to-- - She's up to go back to that day at Mooney Valley when I've laid the guts out of her. - 60 kilos for a filler like that is. - What race are we talking about? - Race four Eagle Farm. It's worrying so on. Benny Mack, waste, oh, looking at Balmock. - She's people told me that she was a second in town. - Benny Mack, some other provider operator is paying out second as a winner in the bletchingly. What's the best bet for likelihood but also some value? - Zuse sensation. - Oh, yeah, you're saying Zuse sensation. I'd probably have Merrival Rose on top, I think she'll run top two. But yeah, they're 5.50 and 8.50 respectively, so you can have a crack there. - Hefty Hog, two-year-old shorties, aren't the go-boys. Stick to them all, expose form for your best bets. - Here we go. - That was-- - Is that from Milo, is it? - Yeah, that was it. - Yeah, you are. - That is just-- - No one has to say-- - No one has to say-- - No, I saw the real one. - No, it's from Hefty Hog, but it just reminds me a bit of DR. - Yeah. - That is just like-- - Oh, God, that's just bad content. Bad content. - I mean, you can nitpick with these things however way you like. I'm pretty sure Omo Long won its first two starts as a short price favorite, so no one was saying Boo when it bolted in, but all of a sudden you get a horse like hard kicker, who does everything wrong and race, and everyone's saying, like, the professionals need to be better. - The experts need to be better. - Milo and I host Gloss as anyone, but I don't know who was, I'd never heard anyone declare it in a moral, so. - No, maybe I was a bit out of that. - I didn't hear anyone declaring hard kicker, my honesty was a very good bet. He was one of my best bets last Saturday at Flamengo, and I got it wrong, but I don't have any regrets tipping him. - Well, I think we said here in the preview, if he runs up to what we saw last time, he would win. He did not run up to what happened last time. It was a completely different version. The version that we saw on your bassing your opinion off was a horse who won the talent at it by four, and would have started a blue diamond favorite. That was not the horse that you saw, and that was not the horse you saw at the trials. - And yes, I do understand the notion that these two worlds can be on one day and off the next. They can overrace, they can be green and do things wrong, but it's the same, it's the same with anything. You can nitpick these things to oblivion, and there's so many, for every example, of a horse, of a two-year-old getting beat, there's one of them that wins as well, like Wotan. There was a lot of hype on Wotan's debut. He comes out wins by four after trialling well, and he started like basically odds on, like. - It's like. - It's like. - There's always an example the other way. - Don't take two worlds because they're untrustworthy anyway. Follow this same responsibility. (laughing) - Yeah. - Wot's really sticking the roots in there. - Robert says midweek, please. Robert says midweek, please, every week. We've got a try and find something for him. Nico, can you try and find something for him? - Yeah, but look. - Golden Garden is going around on the flat tomorrow at the ball, 32-100 meters. He's four dollars favorite in the last. I think Sophia, race six, will improve off the fresh run, run second to Miss Castel Vecchio. It's the favorite in race number six. - Oh, it really looked serious. - I'll go with Sophia. But that's, that's some doing form off two minutes, sorry Robert. Legend, 26 Decalognic question mark. Where you like the horse, Nico, but. - Yeah, well, I sort of touched on it earlier, so. Any mixed niffs, that's an interesting name. Reload an ice-cooled question mark. Nico's pretty much declaring again. Ryan Patton, last Friday, Gareth on the weekend preview with Ben, took a swip at our man, Nico, saying he wants to be like Miles Fitzner. - Well, this easy low-hanging fruit when Nico wasn't there to just defend himself. Then Gareth on Monday said he will get a tattoo of leap to fame if he wins the New Zealand Cup. Sounds like Gareth wants to be like Nico. (laughing) - That's good gear. - That's good gear. - That is good. From one of our, one of our very active contributors to the podcast questions in Ryan Patton, who we met at the ball this year.
Shout out Ryan, the beer spiller, the beer spiller who ended our podcast early and almost broke my laptop. Setshi, cheki, that's not how you say it. Setshi, I'm gonna go Setshi on Instagram. Esha, first up at Eagle Farm and Barry 1 looks the right recipe. Yeah, Barry 1 and 1000 meters does look the right recipe. However, I think a lot of people are overlooking the fact she's a very light frame filly and she's got to carry a lot of weight 60 kilos. Connor Hackling, who has the better spring redemption arc? Jimmy Star or half yours? Jimmy Star because I don't think I don't think. Half yours can still win the melon cup. Jimmy Star won't win a race. I don't know, I think they're. Jimmy Star is one of them, isn't he? They run a nice race. That's a good decision because they might actually go mowing with him. They are. Are they? Are they really going to go champion's balls? Oh, they might actually win something then. So, King Charles. Vote. Jimmy Star or half yours who has the better spring? Jimmy. Half yours. I'll go Jimmy. Are we basing this off wins or are we basing this off prize money? What? Like wins. Yeah, I'm with half yours. Connor Hack, sorry, next stone. Can't wait to end the day with Zadar Rock winning the Rowburn Cup. Me neither. Bring it on. Where is that? No, I give you a. Is that WA, is it? Rowburn's W. Okay. Well, that's a tip for everyone. Zadar Rock in the Rowburn Cup. Can't say I've ever heard of the race. We sure they race on. Zave at the Rowburn Turf Club maybe. Zave Ericsson. I wasn't taking the piece. I'm actually too ready. You've got that joke like four seconds later. How's that? Zave Ericsson. Cruiserweight Moral. Yeah, we agree with that. Malakaz is one week late, but who is the greatest winner of the Mildreder Cup and was it's year or so? There we go. There probably isn't a better. No, see. So, well, there wouldn't have been a big group when a winner that's one of the Mildreder Cup. What's your win? She won a M.Z. Did she win a Rupert Clark? Yeah. Yeah. There you go. James Lewin. Cruiserweight, Tennessee, ice-cool, Crusader 4-leg, are we home? No. Crusader won't win. Yeah, well, we've taken the 3-leg and that's the podcast multi. So, I'm sure it'll be very popular, but yeah, we're not going to be taking Cosmic Crusader in the multi, but he's the best horse in the race. Not over 12-100 M.Z. All right, about now, it's 20. Let's wrap up the podcast there. Thank you very much, boys and punners. Hopefully you have a fill up this Saturday and hopefully we can improve on last week, because the only way is up. Yeah, well, see you later. See you next week, punners. You win some, you lose more. For free and confidential support, visit gamblinghelponline.org.au.

FAQs
The Bletchingly Stakes is a Group 3 race over 1200 meters, previewed for this Saturday at Caulfield.
The hosts are Ben Calluzzi, Nico McGuolta, and Will.
The horse was reportedly sold for over $5 million to come to Australia, but the sale fell through after a CT scan raised concerns about its health, possibly affecting its ability to run in the Cox Plate.
Hard Kiki was a popular favorite but had a poor performance due to pre-race and in-race issues, including launching early and overracing, finishing behind winner Riverina Lulu.
They found matcha disgusting, comparing it to dirty milk or soil and grass mixed together, and suggested it might be a social experiment.
The track is currently soft six with fine conditions forecast, but some rain may make it soft six or soft seven.
