The opening line was, Tas Racing have become aware that the Hobart Cup, Hobart's biggest race, the Group 3, $200,000 was run over the wrong distance and they used the word marginally. So they were trying to deflect a little bit there by saying it was only marginally the wrong distance. 40 meters is not marginal, guys. That's as long as bot and Nico can kick a football. It's actually a fair way. And then they've gone on to say-- - When I miss the green in goal, that's marginally. It's off the side of the green. That's what the penalty words is left in the sheet. - The thing with me, when I T off is, I'm always safe because I land on the next fairway. We actually think that race wasn't run over the correct distance. We're gonna lodge in a protest that mind you, let's be honest, it would have been dismissed anyway. They're not gonna not give the winner the race. They don't give the race to the winners when they deserve it on protest anyway. Little one when it's a question. - So what was ever gonna happen with this? They've made a mistake, nothing's gonna happen. You can't just change the result, whatever. You've got to pay out it is, but I don't know. There might be a few heads around this because it could go down the lawsuit path. - It's like when I was led to believe in this all, sorry, I was led to believe this was all, this one came out the day after. So no shit can give you no objections because correct way everyone's early back to work. But don't go in your media release and say no objections were tossed in by any of the second or third owners or trainers after the race, like they could assume that the race was gonna be run over the wrong, bloody distance. It's the fact that the race wasn't run over the right distance. So it doesn't matter where you add the distance onto, the race wasn't run over the right distance. It just shouldn't happen. But even Dave, obviously who does Formking, he's very frustrated because he's seeing lots of races weak in and weak out, where the rail's out. The rail's out nine metres for the Hobuck Cup. Going quite well, entire view, $12.00. Probably wants to get back up in trip. - What, you want to go with this horse who's aiming for three straight wins is flying? - Yes, he is racing exceptionally at the moment. - Parties. - The main reason that I want to be on this horse is that the second or third favorites, I think, are well under the odds. I think Tuck a speeds. No, he's one, I think he's got four from seven races or they're about to anyway, and doing a lot of wing, but the ratings aren't quite there yet. That might be happened, that might just be circumstance, but I think you're taking off. - Yeah, I think you're taking a fair leap to have him six dollars though, and I think that double figures is more, it sounds about right to me double figures. And to all our send him out as a bet, and then he'll be bloody $90. - It custom. - He's race. - Switch on. - Well, oh. - He calling it a hey, it's a filly's race. - It's a desire of stakes. - I've got Luke Nolan in my head, after what he did tonight, a pack of them just joined. - He's got peaking duck and he's a. - He just wanted to start. Punch on's didn't he? Anyway, she's $2.40, custom $6, and then next journey's next best, and $21, and longer the rest looking up. This is another case of the up and come of versus the proven class horse. Sass appeal maps are beauty here. She'll go forward from barrier one. She's going Logan Bates to Damien Lane that has to be a positive. Does go up significantly in the weights, 52.5 to 56. I think she's too short at $2.15, and I think all-a dancer represents a bit of value at $2.40. Look, this might be a little bit of heart and mouth, in terms of watching it, 'cause in the small field of seven, could be a tactical affair, and she's gonna go back to last, carrying the penalty 59.5 kilos. - Exactly, a little bit of a true other race. - Yeah, I just think her class will come to the fore here, and I think she'll be able to gobble them up late if Luke can just not slip them too much rain. So I'm keen on all-a dancer. She'll be one of my better bets of the day. Custom, I think, is another loser. She's had eight stars, and only the one win. And I'm a little bit suspect on her running a strong 1,400 meters, so I would still have a single figure is, but I'm keen on all-a dancer. Wilbur, you were more in Sass Appeals corner, but the price is skinny, is that right? - Yeah, I think that it's able to take up the lead, and I think that's pretty important in this race, and I don't think the pace will be fast. I think it's got a justice, good as sprint, as what all-a dancer does. I don't rate the 1000 in his form whatsoever, I think it's pretty average form, and I think it'll be found out. You know, into the autumn, I think that Sass Appeals is a really nice horse, gets the weight advantage over a low dancer, and obviously, Damien Lane going on is significant also. So I think Sass Appeals are nice horse. I think just all-a dancer going back to last is get it back towards detriment, and I've got it marked closer to $3. So, wow, I think Sass Appeals. Clearly the one, but I wish I saw the price earlier, I'm not gonna back at it. I think I've got a $2.16, it's $2.15, so there you go. - She opened $2.80 with Tabs Sass Appeals, then into $2.50, and then she's been crunched again. I just think this is the fourth start, you know, first preparation. This wouldn't have been it. Like, she's going through the grades nicely, and she is a nice horse. I just think all-a dancer is the better horse, and I love all-a dancer finally getting to Flemington for the first time. I think she's a horse, a filly, who will appreciate a big track. I sure would add 55 and 1/2 kilos, and would have been a certainty, against some moderate masts. - Yep, all right, we skipped a couple races. We got a race six. It's a $2,500 meter handicap. It's a Saint George $2,90 in favourit. Logan Bates takes two off, so 61 goes down to 59. Newfoundland is $6. We've got stylish, secret $7.50. Jenny's Meadow $8.50, scary is $9. There's no pace at all. I think he can clearly just put himself on top of the speed and I think just outspread them. I'm actually a little bit worried about a mile and a half with him if they. He's going to be on, and Jack's a little bit of pace into it. I'm not absolutely convinced that he wants a proper test, but if it turns into a test of speed and his own pace, I think it's all over. So I'm pretty keen to be on St George. I think he probably starts close at 250. It's a pretty comfortable bet. Yeah. We've seen that a couple of times where we've overseas horses haven't we bought where they've got good form over 2500 meters, 2600 meters back home and they come to Australia and they seem a little bit sharper on a train along Kierema. Yeah. Yeah. It can happen. Sometimes, it's like over and over there, they can put their horses over distances too far whereas in Australia, we often run our horses over distances too short. So it just depends what, you know, what I guess, what the stallion rostres are wanting at the time. I've got some Logan Bates stats here as well, just via Formking, last 50. Going at 18%, but it's more the ROI and wins to expect it. 54% ROI. I imagine that would be on Betfair's starting price and proportional staking and wins to expect it 1.64. So he's going really well. If he's through back the rail, the pace is slow, he cannot win because he doesn't have a cheat, doesn't have a massive change up speed. He can't just quicken through a gap, he needs to pick up speed. Well, he's got to see where he is. Except he has to do that before we can do it. That's probably where Cafe Millennium comes into like being the danger. He farms, he's locked away on the rails. But like if bow can just be positive and try and if he learns boxy, it's probably all over. Also I half gave a chance to a she like, but because it's just going to leave, isn't it? I've finally come around to saying his name the correct way. I don't really like it. He could kick $4.80, barricade, $7.00. Bayfuck! He's $8.00. My gladiola also $8.00, and Mahuna is $14.00. The speed here. What are you touched on? You touched on an article and I want it. You just quickly explained it with Bayfuck, who went very fast in a golden rose over 400 metres. Different gravy? Explain why. Well, I've been looking into some stuff, like stride frequencies, how often horses can stride where they're comfortable and bayfucked. You can figure out what a horse has optimal distances by doing so. A very good sprinter is operate between 2.5 and 2.6 strives per second and stays around that 2.2, the 2.3 range because it's a slower motion so they conserve their energy better. Whereas as sprinters you need to be as high as possible to prepare yourself for it, the problem with Bayfuck is that he is not necessarily. He doesn't have a very high cadence. In the run to the rose he maxed out at 2.45, which is good. It's probably like a 400 metre mileer and tent to add. attempted beating what's two point what's two point four five that's strides per second per second and you work that out by basically you counted and you divided it by so the amount of strides divided by the by the sectional yep split and so tempted to run about I think was 2.57 so she beats him for speed but then when they go up to the golden rows of 1400 meters she can't sustain it for as long and she she can't sustain it so she peers out of the last 200 meters and bear work keeps going now it's important because a thousand meters here he needs to be able to you know turn over his strides frequently as possible especially if the pace is slow which it is likely to be there's not enough pace there's not a whole lot of pace so if he wants to accelerate quickly he can't accelerate with likes again kick and and tend to because you know they're faster horses like they're both both of them have stride frequencies of up to 2.55 so they can turn over their stride much quicker so you know rapid acceleration it's like just like it's related to humans like you say in bolt like fast muscle muscle twitches in comparison to a a bit of distance runner or marathon runner who wouldn't move as fast but conserve their energy yeah no it makes sense so basically he'd be he'd need to be he'd be he's gonna be at his he's gonna be at his top the whole way over a thousand meters if he's leading here and it just doesn't look a good set up for him exactly you're back in the other blue jacket yeah yeah sorry yeah go and finish what you're gonna say well I was just gonna say like it if they go slow as well I don't think he has much hope either so I give like I give Mahoo Dah barricade of my god y'all a better chance than the one he does and that guy doesn't sang hollow now that he was $5 early and he's drifted to $8.50 now so it's not it's not much of a massive statement now is what it was but yeah anyway I just thought that was kind of interesting 10 tires is I think he's a very very good sprinter it's all like really neat and clean the way he's sort of improved and it makes a whole lot of sense so it makes me really makes me really confident that he can go here because you know first up in the downhill he ran the fastest four to the two split and then died in his run and then in the Gothic marks I gave him too much to do but he's still one he ran a massive last 400 meters and then in the cool one we also already did he was enormous it was probably the best sprinting performance outside of what maybe Jolly Star and Kaying It's going to go, you would have thought it's going to go back to last. And I'd be surprised if it outsprins Jolly Star if they go to an even pace. Or at any pace really. She's a daughter of the autumn sun and she looks to have come back bigger, better and stronger bottom. If you look at it at her trials and just her genetic makeup, she's a beast. She's more like Animo than Bloody Wings at this stage. She's a 6.50 from Linderman $9, Aliana $10 and Steffi Magnetica. Well, if you'd have a drawing a gate, you probably would have said maybe she's a danger at $4,800, but she draws out in 10 and we'll go back. Everything just looks so good for her here. You think, yeah, this is the best horse she's ever raised against, but how many of them are actually trying? When you look at the map, Linderman goes forward over $4,800 meters. He'll lead this race and Nash loves being the giant slayer. He'll probably try something at some stage. He'll be trying to get her a beat. He loves to get a beat, he loves bot. He does. He's done it a couple of times. Think about it, obviously beating Zaki. He's done it a couple other horses, but not that I can remember if the top of my head. Top of my head. I think I can. Yes.
