Bills-Rams Game of the Year, Power Ranking 9 Players Who Made the Leap, Fantasy Court, HBD Jerry Jones, and Introducing “Pelicaning”
95m 8s
The episode centers on a chaotic yet pivotal Monday Night Football game between the Rams and Bills, marked by 22 penalties, a dramatic fourth-quarter surge, and several standout plays like Khalil Shakir’s controversial fumble-inducing tackle and James Cook’s fumbles. Special teams failures, particularly under Sean McVeigh, are highlighted as a critical flaw in the Rams’ season. In contrast, Josh Allen delivers a career-best performance, combining unstoppable legs with 227 career touchdowns—making him a top contender for the best offensive player in NFL history. Running back James Cook’s high fumble count raises concerns about his reliability, while wide receivers like Parker Washington, Declan Doyle, and Devante Adams showcase dramatic leaps in performance, elevating their fantasy value. Defensive end Will Anderson emerges as the most dominant player in the league, leading in sacks and tackles for loss. The episode also reflects on how player development, team decisions, and timing can shift elite status, such as with Christian Watson and Mike Evans, whose recent resurgence exemplifies how performance and context redefine fantasy rankings. The game’s intensity, player chemistry, and unexpected turns underscore a season where momentum, talent, and luck converge in unexpected ways.

Welcome to Wringer Fantasy Football Show. My name is Danny Hyves. Today I'm joined by Danny Kaling, Craig Coraldeck, and today is Power Hour, where we power rink something. Everyone's dead. Today we are power rinking. Players who are making the leap, the new elite, the guys who have gone up a level in front of our very eyes or whatever the leap means, right, Craig? Yeah, fantasy and real life. I don't know if these guys are like, maybe they already were a household names, maybe they're not, but in either way, they are kind of in the upper echelon now at their position in the league. So we're going to get to that. But first, I want to talk about Monday Night football. So Bill's Rams went over time. Bill's 13734. Game of the year. Game of the year. Actually, though. Yeah. Basically, a Bill's home game in Sofah Stadium, even though it was in LA, but it was, I mean, the Rams that a lot of fall starts. Second time ever that the two previous MVPs played against each other on Monday Night football. First three quarters, a lot of penalties, 11 accepted penalties on each day. Every week, man. It's crazy. And every time I wanted to be those rafts, and then they'd show the replay. And I was like, ah, that was a penalty. But then the fourth quarter, a lot of points, 35 points in the fourth quarter. Both teams blew the game. And over time, James Cook went full-scataboo and over time, stumbled. Landman out here. Punching out James twice. Two perfect peanut punches. I couldn't believe it. It's like, I'm almost like, what running back wouldn't fumble in that situation? If you're just running and some guy comes flying in like Captain America and punches the ball, you're screwed. I do think that this is apex. This week, maybe this year is apex mountain for just the peanut punch. I do feel like there were three guys in the NFL. He used to be able to do it. It was Charles Tillman. It was Tom Szibikowski, who was like a boxer on the Ravens who played safety. Now, I feel like every team has five guys that could do an incredibly similar executed force fumble. Yeah. Well, hey, Landman, leads all linebackers in force fumbles since he entered the league. This guy's got a knack for it for sure. Then they ran at him again after they got the ball back on the last. I was like, what are you doing? Just go anywhere but towards him. But he was the main character though, because he also was the spy on Josh Allen and he couldn't defend Josh Allen though. So Josh Allen would just run around him like it was mad in unlucky mode. And then so it was funny. Landman was the main character and defense at the end. But the bills get the bills fumble. Rams are Aaron Donnell recovers. And then the Rams go down kind of get to feel go range turtle. And then Harris and me this guy who already had a missed kick earlier in the game has the kick blocked bills get the ball back. Give it back to cook. And then they go back down and they win the game. Did you know the Rams cut Harris and mevus. He's off the thing. He's got the thicker kicker is now thicker kicker. If he was he was looking thicker. I'll tell you that. Yeah. He's like the San Francisco substation. Yeah. Every week. I mean, I know sea bass is like kind of where your mind goes and you think of chubby kickers. But Harris and mevus might be the biggest kicker I've ever seen. Yeah. Yeah. DK. Was it Sean McPhase fault that the Rams lost? Yeah. I think so. I mean, the buckstaps at him and their their special teams have been frigging horrific the last couple of years. I this is what we brought up on the Friday show and the preview the special teams thing. And then they missed a 50 yard field goal. They come back down and in later in the game and over time. And I thought, you know, look, there's a million decisions that you can second guess. It's hindsight 2020. I thought it was horrible that they basically stopped trying to get more yards there. They said they're like basically settled for a long field goal when you're kicker. Can't kick long field goals. It was ridiculous. Puka Nukuah had like 38 catches on the night. Like they were moving the ball at will through the air. Like I was more comfortable. You could have probably easily gotten 20 more yards just throwing it to Puka. Like they had been the entire game to just stop out of just the yard field goal and kind of like, you know, play it safe. Some of these young like cutting edge coordinators play callers and cut coaches, Sean McVeigh, Mike McDonald. Some of these guys as smart as they are, they are kind of conservative. They leave a particularly. Yeah. And like terms of like running the ball, being playing it safe. I saw this. This was the first two point conversion they'd had since like 2024. Yeah. Like they just never do any of this stuff that it's considered sort of analytically sound or for. I want to give McVeigh a little credit. He used to be very conservative. I will say in this game, McVeigh had a fourth and one and they go for it. And then they get a false start. And then McVeigh still goes for it out of fourth and sixth and the Rams get it and get a touchdown on that drive. So he's gotten better at that. I think that's fair. I do. But I would say in that final drive, millions of people were thinking, don't settle for a long field goal. Everyone who was watching the game was like, dude, you cannot settle for a long field goal. It's there's too much pressure on this guy. He's already psyched out. He's in his head. And again, like they had scored 21 points in the last quarter and a half. Like you were moving the ball and will and then you just stop. 100% of the bills. The bills defense was completely gassed. The other play that you didn't mention, I guess I thought was an almost an incredible sighting doors moment was right before the peanut punch, the landman peanut punch to get the ball back and over time. What's his name? Khalil Shakir took a pass was basically running free and Kinshens jumped. Like full on super hero dived and barely nicked his foot made him trip. And then the next play was the fumble, the turnover. So that play, that to me, I was like, whoa, that was a crazy turn of events. This is like the type of play you could look back as the playoffs are coming and it ended in the end. It didn't actually. It felt like difference. But yeah, in the moment when James Cook fumbled, it felt like that tackle by Kinshens on. Yeah. Would be this act sharp in a 2.1%. 100% of season in that. I don't know how this will matter later, but we will look back and be like that change the whole season. I couldn't believe that play. That was a miracle play, that defensive play. So anyways, yeah, great. No, it's great. Over time, great game. I mean, there was so many little things from it. There's probably the, I think it was maybe the best game of the season, especially expectations and to what it became. And again, it was sloppy. It was like, not perfect. It was sloppy. It was again, 22 penalties accepted in 52 minutes. And then there was 35 points in the fourth quarter over time. Like, it was. Yeah, there were fun rules. There was a bad Josh Allen interception. It was like a messy game. Very bad. You didn't think that was an armpit. I thought no, I thought that that was, that was the generous. I think it was just stupid. Honestly, I was even the bills kick at the end. The Rams were, the Rams almost blocked the kick. They did the game. It's running in the game of inches, man. Oh my God. The guy full sprinting horizontally and cut in right when they snapped the ball. I thought he had it. That would have made it an all-time game if they blocked both kicks it over time. I mean, the special teams thing, though, this is just the, the, the hole on the Death Star for Sean McVeigh. It's just, I don't know what you will say. It's a blind spot. I don't want to be like, he thinks he's better than it. But it just, he clearly doesn't for whatever reason take it as serious as he needs to. I think at this point, Sean McVeigh knows it's a problem. But the Rams, I mean, again, the Rams probably would have won the Super Bowl last year with better special teams. The Rashid Shaheed punt return against the Siocs on that Thursday football game. Shaheed, like that changed the season. Shaheed Rams fumble Shaheed Rams fumbles upon in the NFC championship game. And then Solak had this stat for it via next chance. That's the Rams have already lost more win probability. Or I guess expected points added this season than they did all of last season based on special teams. Based on, yeah, the special teams plays have already cost the Rams as much this season as all of last year combined. I think that's regular season. But it's just a huge problem for the Rams every year. And I guess the big picture to me is this game to me feels so foreshadowy of how both the bills and Rams seasons will end because you look at the Rams and they have a super team with Aaron Donald and Miles Garrett and Tevanta Adams and Puka and Stafford and they have no kicker on Tuesday afternoon of week five and rain week six. And I'm like, that seems like it'll be relevant. The good is this kickers are like logs. You can just find a new one. Can they? I think so. Who did they sign? Did they sign? They sign some guy off of practice. Blake Groupie, right? Blake from the Saints. I don't know who is five seven, like 150 pounds. I think this is the largest disparate weight disparity ever in two kickers. There is a 100 pound weight disparity between these two kickers. Wow. That's like in between them. Early days of MMA where they'd have like one Brock Lesnar fight like three feather weights. Like Ray Mysterio. Yeah. Yeah. That's like maybe Mevis was just three Blake Groupies in a trench coat. Hi, Fitz. I agree with you that this is like we're going to look back on this is kind of the way that both of these teams seasons went. But I have to say I am very happy that the bills won this game. I like both these teams. I want this to be the Super Bowl. I think these are the two teams. I think maybe the Niners, but this is like what I kind of envisioned the Super Bowl as when the season began. Josh Allen had not won an overtime game until the yesterday. That blew my mind. This was
there's first over 10 and then eight before that or something. In his career, he said it in the post game, he's like, it's great to get the overtime monkey out of my back. It's weird, even though he didn't throw the ball that well or they didn't throw the ball all that much, I mean, he did not have many completions in this game. His legs in the second half were like all-time Josh Allen performance. As good as he's ever been. Unstoppable. - He went full Ronald Spears. - Yeah, he really, really did. Like 20, 30 yard chunks, just bouncing off of people, sneaking it into the end zone. The most unstoppable runner in the league and you could throw in any running back. - I gotta ask you a question. Josh Allen, you get into his best quarterback or whatever, it gets Super Bowl wins. I know he hasn't wanted Super Bowl and never mind made it Super Bowl. However, is Josh Allen the best weapon, offensive weapon in NFL history? - I think we have to ask. - I mean, yeah, I guess it depends on how I would still put Brady at number one. - Well, is Brady a weapon? And that's what I'm trying to distinguish. - Yeah, with his mind and with his arm. - Yeah. - Here's why I asked the question. - Josh Allen is basically a top five quarterback on his own, plus he's also Derek Henry. - So here's the staff that made me ask the question. - Yes, he is. - Josh Allen is the most touchdowns in the history of the Buffalo Bills. I am not talking about passing touchdowns. Touchdowns period. He passed-- - Thurman taught him this. - Wild. - Like for the most touchdowns in Bill's history, let me, this is the stat that made me think of it. Josh Allen is 89 touchdowns. Rushing and receiving. That is tied with Alvin Camera. That is more than Antonio Brown. That is more than Travis Kelsey. That is more than Calvin Johnson. More than Jimmy Graham. People who are synonymous with touchdowns. Josh Allen is two touchdowns away from tying Edger and James, who is a Hall of Fame running back. He is four touchdowns away from Rob Gronkowski and Marshawn Lynch. - You're talking rushing touchdowns? - Just rushing and receiving. Like because he caught two touchdowns. - And receiving, okay. Josh, he threw one to himself and he caught one. Josh Allen is 227 passing touchdowns. I am not talking about those. He is four touchdowns away on his own from having as many as Rob Gronkowski, which makes me wonder at some point, like if you have as many touchdowns as Grant, who's probably the best tied end of all time. At some point, I'm like, I don't know how to count it where he hasn't made a Super Bowl, but I think Josh Allen might be the best offensive football player of all time. - Yeah, he's like the prime Cam Newton year, but he's been doing it for 10 years. You know what I mean? It's kind of crazy what he brings. I just can't think of this. - I'm thinking games. - Yeah, I mean knock on wood. He's very physically tough. He is larger than life. When he was running around, he's trucking guys at the end of runs. He's like getting up laughing and smiling. Yeah, he's just a physical wonder. He's awesome to watch. I also think he's, I mean, maybe not underrated at it, but he's so good at escaping pressure and keeping a play alive. That's a huge part of what makes their offense so dangerous is just when you think you've got him, he escapes and makes something happen. So yeah, he's just a lot of fun to watch. - It's, it's incredible. - It's why Josh Allen needs to make a Super Bowl because hi, it's everything you outlined, I think is 100% true. He's never been into Super Bowl. Like he has to get there. He did the overtime thing on Monday night. He needs to get to a Super Bowl. Otherwise, all of this is gonna be like a what a shit of cut of what if. - Yeah, he's like John L. Way. We're John L. Way, you know, John, I feel like this never gets mentioned if you weren't like alive for it. I was surprised when I learned it. Like when I was growing up, the John L. Way didn't actually make it. He didn't win a Super Bowl till it's like final two seasons. He was 36 and 37 and then he won two back-to-back. But like John, he was amazing. And that really is the best comp for Josh historically is John L. Way, just his crazy athlete, really fast, the cannon for an arm. But yeah, I need Josh Allen to win a Super Bowl. So I don't hear the whole. He never won a Super Bowl thing. I can't be damn marine over my generation. But he's amazing. But again, for the bills going forward, he's done some dumb shit. Like no question Josh is, but I always will steal the Steven Ruiz line. Josh is a Super Hero and Super Heroes when they win fights, they break a lot of cars and knock down some buildings. And that is Josh with the turnovers. But I keep worrying about the passing game was bad without DJ Moore and they look like the team that needed receiving help last year. And James Bill Barnes will point it this out. James Cook has twice as many fumbles as any running back in the NFL since the beginning of last season. James Cook has 11 fumbles since the beginning of last year and no other running back has six. Which again, when you think about the playoffs, I'm just worried that this game was just foreshadowing. - Oh, and if you remove Nate Landman, he has the least, so. - That's not true. - That's not true. - But yeah, I felt really bad for James Cook. He couldn't even watch that final feel goal. It cut to him, scrouching with his eyes turned away from the kick because he was so nervous. They kept cutting to him. But yeah, I mean, it's a big problem. And I, you know, teams have different philosophies on the fumble stuff. Sometimes they just like kind of yank a guy. You know, like Chase Brown fumbled in the Bengals, like soft-dashed him. James Cook, what did I say? No, he just, nothing. - No, what do I do? - I don't know if he was the yank a guy. - Oh. - Oh. - You should have said pause, and then I would have known what you meant. - That's good. - But like some teams have the philosophy of pulling somebody when they fumble, I respect-- - Jerking him out of the lineup, yeah. - But I respect the fact that the bill, it feels like the really good teams don't do that. - Yeah, it's one of those like you rub your dog's nose and the shit so they don't do it again. I'm like, the dog doesn't know what the fuck's going on. And not to compare the players to that, but the player already feels bad. - James Cook already feels like shit. You need to build him up. He's not like worry, like unless you think the player for whatever reason doesn't take it seriously, which I think is really rare. Like you need to, again, you just, you need to be instilling the confidence and the belief in them, 'cause you actually don't want them thinking about that. - The fumbles lost stat too is also, it's kind of like drops for receivers. It's a stat that is very related to the number of carries that he's getting in the number of targets that a player who's leading the league in drops. Like when you look at the league lead in drops, it's usually like Jamar Chase and fucking Devonte Adams. Like really good. - He's like 11 fumbles in two years. - No, I'm not, I'm not absolving him of any blame. Obviously that was a horrific, two horrific mistakes in this game. But also, he's led the league in brushing last year. You know, he's, he's getting a lot of carries. So that is also part of it. - The whole game felt like a real star studded event, didn't it? It just really felt like a big night. It was like the Rams, all of their like A-Listers are cutting the Haley Steinfeld and the Booth and Kelly Stafford's edge. And it just felt like a Super Bowl, honestly. - It's like an LA thing. - Yeah. It was an awesome game and a frankly ESPN, which you know, I'll be, won't stop talking about how they have the Super Bowl this year. It would be really lucky if they got Bill's rent. - Also Josh and Stafford clearly like each other. You don't get that anymore over time. You don't get the two quarterbacks in it. - It's dabbing the coin toss. - I texted you guys about that. They perfect, there's a perfect gap. - There's one of the best daps I've seen. - Incredible. Honestly, one of the best daps I've ever seen between Captains and any of you. - Just clapped, did a little half hug and then-- - You could say the big ad star power of the dap. - All tight dap. - Yeah, it's hard to get it. It would have been cool if we saw Haley Steinfeld Kelly Stafford dap. Also, at overtime, now it would be cool. - How do women don't know how to dab, right? That's kind of the one of the-- - Women don't dab. - No, it's just a hug. - Yeah. - No. - Have you ever seen two women dab? - I'm sure it's happened in the world. (laughing) - Has it ever happened? - I don't know if it's ever happened. - I don't think I've ever seen two women dab. - That's, yeah, I'm sure there's lots of daps. Also, you know who had a great dab in this game? - As long as we were talking about daps. Puka and Devante, they had their little handshake. - They have a fun celebration. - They like fake, like fight each other kind of deal. - It is, like say something and they dab and they kind of like step towards one another. - They kind of like that. - Wait, speaking of Puka, we have to mention Brett Coleman had this stat. I actually thought he was lying or a joke and I looked it up and it's true. Brett Coleman posted Puka and Kua came into this game with the 86th most catches in the NFL this season, 86. And now Puka is seventh. - How many catches did he, he had like 20-something target? - 24 targets, Puka's 17 catches for 130 yards. - It was the perfect Ram stat line 'cause this is what it always is when Puka and Devante are healthy. Puka goes eight endings, throws 128 pitches, 10 strikeouts, and then Devante comes in and strikes out the side and closes the game in one inning. Devante 50 yards, two touchdowns on like six targets. Puka's 24 targets, 17 catches, just getting a shit kicked out of them between the 20s. - I think all the time about how a lot of life, football, whatever is in part luck and how he rosman's plan A for the Eagles was to get Russell Wilson and Alan Robinson and he couldn't and Russell Wilson used his no trade clause. So instead they went with Jalen Hertz and AJ Brown and then they made two super balls in one one. And I was thinking about that when the Rams very seriously explored trading Devante Adams and acquiring AJ Brown. And I think that was one of the reasons we weren't so excited about Devante this off season was the Rams tried to trade him. And then maybe he was declining, maybe he was more motivated because of the trade, but holy crap, are they lucky that it moved on from Devante who looks like he's 30, not 34, whatever, he looks unbelievable. - I know. I was worried too, but first game of the season in Australia, they barely played him, they were taking him out around the goal line. I was like, oh damn. When the cliff comes, it comes quickly pause. And nice. I don't know. He's looked absolutely like he's still in his prime in terms of just, especially his ability to get open in the red zone. - His shiftingness in the red zone just like watching his route running. It really is like he's running pick plays and totally. I mean, what is in fantasy right now? He's probably a top 15 wide receiver. - Oh yeah. He's been electric. - He's the wide receiver five right now. - Yeah. - Think about how many fantasy matchups this game swung 'cause you got Josh Allen, Devante, Stafford, Pucca, Will Tyron. - Everyone who had players in this game won their matchup. I mean, Josh had 30, Pucca had 30, Devante had 20, James Cook had 20.
- Everybody was going off. - It was wild. - The last thing I will say about this game before we move on is I got an email during it that said FU hyphids. - Mm, okay. - That was from me probably. - It's from Todd. - Ah, obviously. - Todd's breakfast was lucky charms. - Okay. - Todd said lifelong bills fan enjoying my team in prime time and the Rams go for the first field goal and then hyphids his voice creeps into my head where I told the story that I, for field goals, for important moments, I will do it X in front of the TV industry. - Oh yeah, yeah. When my grandmother would do that. - He's not super stitious, but he's kind of stitious. - And you guys made fun of me and then it worked immediately and Justin Tucker missed like his first kick and 40 kicks at that point and then, you know what, whatever. Anyway, so Todd writes, I love you guys hate this. The Todd writes. - I've just heard it like seven times, but yeah, I hear of a hyphids is a lot of people have no idea what we're talking about. - No, I'm just the X story. I feel like you've told me that it doesn't, I bristle at the way that you say it worked. That's why it worked. So Todd writes, so I put the most nonchalant X-viety. Todd writes, I put the most nonchalant little, look, I just does, man. Todd puts the most nonchalant little X in front of the TV and guess what, Harrison Mevis misses. Awesome, right? Nope, I immediately get sad 'cause I know I'm gonna think about doing this before every field go for the rest of my life. - You have your own special teams forever for me. And guess what? He did it again later and it happened again. - Great. - What do you mean he did it again later? - He did the X and then it got a lot. - He said he thought about, he was like, he basically cursed Harrison Mevis again and then he the field go gug up locked. So he's actually angry at me 'cause he's like, now I'm gonna think about this for every kick forever. - Tyler Bass kind of did like a Steph Curry no look, like the second he kicked that thing for Buffalo, he kind of just turned and started running. Kind of, he like threw off his helmet. - He was doing this more. - Kickers were all doing the soccer player thing now when he was doing the run-al though. - Well they are, they're all soccer players. - He was like halfway towards the uprights and he kind of just turned and does the Nick Young. - Yeah, yeah. - That one where he holds his arms out. - He kind of did it. I was like, well that's cool. - I will say that would be the potential for like one of the most viral NFL moments ever if a kicker did that but missed it. - Don't get it? - And didn't know. - All right. Let's get to power hour. Again, we're power ranking guys making the leap. I don't know the exact perfect way to describe this but it's basically when you go up a level as a player and it's, you know, sometimes it's a part time guy becoming a good starter. But more often than I think the thing we're excited about is when a good player becomes like elite and you actually have to recalibrate how you think of them. This is like Bill's been talking about this for like 25 years. I don't know the perfect way to describe it but that's how I think of it. - You know when you see it, it's like pornography. - Right, I literally Craig, I was just looking at that quote up. I didn't want to mess it up. You can't just find it but you know it when you see it, right? This is football pornography. - This whole thing to me reminds me of like in a romcom when they have some beautiful actress playing a role but they like have to make her like normal so they'll put in half the way in a ponytail and glasses. - Glasses. - And then they give her a pony tail. - Yeah, and they take the glasses off and like in half the way is beautiful now. But we're all the characters in the movie that is like, oh my God, it's part of the watch. - What? - Is it amazing? - Oh my God. - He's hot. - So paint colored, paint covered smock. - Wow. (laughing) - You guys ever seen them not another team movie? - Paint colored smock. - I think a long time ago. - She's got glasses and a ponytail. - I think I need to just because of how much you quote it. - Oh my God, it's a classic. Anyway, let's do this. - So we'll do this power hour style. Every two minutes, we'll hear, we're gonna do this sound. - The gong half returned. - I like gong in it. - We're still gong in it. One more week of gong. - So again. - We're hanging gong. - The gong plays. - Yeah. - That's what you are chasing to Higgins. We're pretending they were not doing much. - They're hanging gong. - The people's gong. - A lot of people are doing it now. - It's becoming a thing. - The people's gong. - All right. - Number one. - We do two minutes of three. - What do you want to do? Two or three? - Two. (laughing) - Everything for Craig is make it shorter. (laughing) - Yeah, sure. - Normalize, normalize what, Craig? - Coming fast. - Yeah, yeah. - Make it shorter. - Kind of just broadly, not me, specifically. Just kind of as like a general thing. For people to kind of take note of. - Exactly. - Yeah, understand. - Yeah. (laughing) - Seriously. - For people that have not heard that before. - Yeah, yeah. - We've talked about that. - I'm kind of fighting the good fight. - I'm kind of the Robin Hood of people who prematurely ejaculate, yeah. - It's a compliment. - The, okay. - It is. - That's one of the list. - You guys take that in college, you know it. He's a compliment. - You should be. - Yeah, it's humbling or not humbling. What's the word? - It's so hot. - It's hot. - Do we start the entire year? - I don't know. - It's just gone. (laughing) - It felt like two minutes in a moment. - Yeah. (laughing) - Would you say 20 seconds? - Two minutes is a long time. Try watching a TikTok for two minutes. No way. - It applies when you're having fun, man. You can't do anything for two minutes these days. - The Ringer Fantasy Football Show is brought to you by Fandall. I think at the end of last year, he really popped and kind of similar to Brock Birdie who will get to it. It was like, remember the final five games when Brock Birdie came in his rookie season? It was like, is this real or was this just kind of a flash in the pan? - Right. - Well, Parker Washington has picked up right where he left off and just passes the eye test and just looks like one of the best receivers in the league. We didn't mention his game winning one-handed catch in London to beat the Eagles in the Sunday morning, which is one of the best plays of the day, but it kind of got lost in the shuffle because the rest of the day was so exciting. But look, Parker Washington, it's a great story. It's his fourth year. He's a six-rounder on a Penn State and he plays like it and he has it. He's the next of Monroe St. Browns, what he looks like. - Yeah, I totally agree. Stylistically, he has a lot of similarities to Amon Ron in terms of just ability to get open run after they catch, balance, tenacity, toughness. - Great hands. - He sets the tone for that team. You know, there were stories during the off season about how, I can't remember who was like Travis Hunter and Brian Thomas were arguing about who can get in first to the building every day and they're like, actually, we're not getting in first. No one's beating Parker Washington. He's here like five more. - You guys just getting here. He's like, "Dad, I got a vacation." I've been up for hours, wow. - We're birded daylight here, guys. - We're in a beautiful walk. Come on, my third cup of coffee. - I'm remembering now, Parker Washington, Liam Cohen saying the first day of training camp, Parker Washington, or no, a week before, Liam Cohen said, "How are you doing?" And Parker Washington texted back ready to kill for you, coach. (laughing) - Love it, dude, he's a maniac, complimentary. - It's funny too though, 'cause his voice, he has Ken Walker syndrome, which is the voice and the person you would never expect to be the voice of the total player. - Right, like a little, not like a little higher pitch or like, I don't know. - Sounds like a cartoon mouse. - Yeah. - Parker Washington is going to be a good receiver in NFL for a very long time. And whatever he's on, the fan base will love him. - Fantasy's top 10. We were joking, oh, yeah, Gong. The Gongs are authoritative, it's good. All right, moving on. This is actually a good person. - I love Parker Washington, I'd die for him. - In tandem with this person, my number two making the lead player is Drake London, the receiver for the Falcons. I feel like, if you ask-- - It's interesting that you're saying it's this year or not last year. - Well, 'cause here's why, even three weeks ago, if I feel like if I asked my six friends, who were the top five receivers in the NFL? I don't think anyone would have even thought about putting Drake London in the top five. And I feel like maybe part of its prime time bias, I don't know. - Okay, I don't even think about you at all. - Yes, exactly, it's real. Like two years ago, we were like, what's your favorite Drake London memory? And then last year Drake London was incredible. And then now I just feel like Drake London statistically and I test is indisputably a top 10 receiver and kind of bordering on the top five in terms of week to week play. And like statistically, since the beginning of last season, the best receivers in fantasy football or any metric you want to pick, points, catches, yards per ret run, the best receivers in football since last year are JSN, Puka, and then Drake London when Michael Penix is playing. - When the Penix is in Drake's putting bridge. - Yeah. - I don't know where that was going. - London Bridge. - Drake's putting out when the Penix isn't. That's what it's all about. - In Heifetz's defense, like his number of yards per game is up dramatically this year. I think we knew he could be good. To me, when you watch him now, he's just dominant. He is a dominant player. And yeah, it's just very apparent that he's one of the best players on the field every time he's out there.
He had the ACL injury at the end of last season, so he played through it, but he wasn't the same player because it was in his, he had a knee issue. But again, Drake London, when, when the Pentax is in his, like, just, they played 17 games together. And that includes Michael Pentax's first thoughts. And my literally the 17 games to Michael Pentax, Drake London has exactly 100 catches for almost 1600 yards and eight touchdowns. Yeah. I mean, last year before he kind of got hurt, London had 800 yards and 10 games before he got hurt. He's on the, again, he's average, he's average, oh, the gong. Gong. You know what else, help Typhus? I think a big difference between last year and this year very quickly is that the Falcons have had three straight prime time games and he's the house. That's the, that is the big variable here as he's, he's in now household name. We need to get him some touchdowns. He has zero touchdowns, zero. In fact, he has zero red zone and end zone targets. Which makes no sense. And that's it. It's going to go. Well, the last thing I'll say, I want to respect the gong. How many times have we said T Higgins is like the best number two, you know, imagine T Higgins had his own team. It would look like this. I think this is like Drake London's like if T Higgins was an alpha number one in Zeefer. Yeah. It's good call. Okay. Number three, players making the leap, DK, you text to be Ken Walker, the running back for the G. Kenny Kenneth Walker. I'm going to, I'm going to do my Randy Quaid independence day impression. I've been saying it for 10 damn years. I love Kenneth Walker. Man, I thought, I thought he was like one of the best runners I've ever seen going back to his time in college, the Seahawks, you know, there was injury situation, injury problems that kind of held it back a little bit, but man, that they underutilized this guy because we've seen exactly what can happen when a team decides to focus, you know, their offense around him and turn him into a Belcal runner. He's been incredible. He's averaging 26 points per game. He's the RB two in fantasy. He's playing all these snaps, 16% target rate, which is elite fifth in the NFL this year of all these, his snap share, rush share and target rate in all career highs, he has six touchdowns. He's, he's averaging 155 scrimmage yards per game. He's on pace. That would put him on pace for 2600 scrimmage yards, which would be the most of this century. If he kept his pace up, he's very likely not going to keep this pace up, but that's the kind of production. He's like outpacing, Lenin and Tomlinson's 2016 in terms of scrimmage yards per game. So he's, he's incredible. He's breaking a ton of tackles. He's creating explosive plays at an elite level. He's everything you want that running back. It's very reminiscent to me of the sake one thing, sake one was more famous than Ken Walker in New York and was like, you know, such an early draft pick, but it's the like the second he joins a good team and you're like, not that, I mean, you know what I mean? The second he gets the role on a really good team and you're like, oh wow, this is completely different. You needed like five plays in week one to be like, yeah, it's going to work. Yeah. And I mean, it goes back to the playoffs, too, with the Seahawks. I mean, he was one of the most important players on the Seahawks Super Bowl run. He was the MVP of the Super Bowl. And I don't know if they would have made the Super Bowl. If he hadn't made a couple of incredible runs during that playoff, playoff run. So yeah, Super Bowl MVP, though, again, if you just asked a random football fan, like a really good football fan, who were the top five running backs in the NFL? I want to say, Jemeer Gibbs, Bijan Robinson, Krishnamakafri, Derek Kennedy, Sikwan. I think there's like 10 to 12 guys people would have named before Kenny Moore. Yeah. I think he's clearly number three right now. I agree. Yeah. John Taylor, like it's Ken Webb. Ken Walker's probably the third guy right now. Number four, this is, this is almost like why you have to do this list. Craig, you said Brock Perty for the Niners. Brock Perty is indisputably now at top five quarterback in the league. Like regardless of what you thought about him in the past or who is more responsible for the Niners' success, like it is, it is Josh Allen, it's Mahomes. And then I think you start having the conversation about where Brock Perty fits in among Lamar and Matt Stafford and Joe Burrow, like I would be comfortable putting Brock Perty number three. He's the MVP favorite. There's all these reasons why Brock Perty, I feel like was doubted. And then if you just kind of like lean back and watch him play, you're like, I don't know why I was doing that this whole time because he's, he's kind of been the same guy this whole time. It's just us coming to terms and I guess media coming to terms with the fact that he's equally or deserves a lot of the credit for what he's doing and it's not just Shanahan and the team around him. Yeah. A couple of years ago, a lot of Niners' fans wanted Brock Perty to be the MVP. And I felt that he was not, he was actually, ironically, literally the most valuable player because he was delivering on, you know, a nine hundred thousand dollar contract. He was literally by the most, he's the most valuable player of all time. Then he got paid. And I felt that two years ago, he's like, it's not the MVP because Trent Williams is the best offensive line in the NFL and Christian Caffrey is the best running back in the NFL and that the overall skill pass catcher group is the best in the NFL. And so you can't say her, he's also the MVP. But if you look at Perty this year and you're like, Trent Williams has been banged up. Mike Evans is awesome, but like in and out of the line of sometimes like, with all the entries they've had, he's now it's the reverse where he's getting 50, 55 million a year. And that looks like a bargain because he is just, it doesn't matter if it's Brandon Cooks who's been there for eight days, he's finding the end zone. Oh, penalty, undone, just goes back, does it again. And it's, it's what he's doing off script when the Shanahan call plate doesn't work. He's extending, he's scrambling, he's making shit up, he's been fantastic. Yeah. I think it's so easy to explain away all the other variables on a team in terms of like why this guy's not an MVP. But I mean, if you look at, I mean, you could go back to any MVP winner and be like, oh, he had incredible players around him. Because most of the time the MVP is one of the best teams, it's, he's like the best quarterback or the best player on the best team. And that, so you could just like, use that excuse for anything really. One quick thing before we move on that just like the further away you get from it, the crazier it is, Brock Perty basically should have been in two super balls the first two years of his career as the last pick in the draft. Because he heard his elbow that first year when they probably would have beaten the Eagles and gone to the Super Bowl. And then the next year they went to the Super Bowl. So he should have gone to back to back Super Bowls in the first two years of his career as the single last pick in the draft. And he would have been the starting quarterback and back to back Super Bowls to start his career. Pretty crazy story. I frankly would have told you he's got a little bit, yeah, he's got a little swag to him. He's kind of old school and modern, you know, he's like mobile, he duggies. He has like this like modern style of play, but he's also kind of like old school has Moxie, your dad's favorite quarterback, he's got a little bit of both, and he's he's sneaky on the level of Josh Allen sneaky in terms of escaping and keeping plays alive and making it like shaking linebackers out of their socks. He's a notch below Josh. I'm saying a pound for pound. He's sneaky. He's sneaky as fuck. He's not he's not as powerful and explosive and fast as Josh Allen. That's very true. But he's sneaky as hell. Yeah. Okay. Josh is sneaky. He's just white. Josh is hard to be sneaky when you're Josh Allen. Yeah. Josh is 65240 bigger than every linebacker he's ever tried. It's harder for a giant elephant that runs a hundred percent. He's a sneaky little shit though. Yeah. The next player I have here for just making the leap going to defense will Anderson junior who is the defensive end for the Houston Texans. I don't know if anyone this is being talked about, but will Anderson is now the best defensive end in the NFL. He has a boring name. A whale Anderson. A whale Anderson. We went the whole 2023 draft. And we kind of like Anderson. He'll go third. Like it's hard to talk, which is casual greatness, but you know, he went behind CJ Stratton Bryce Young in the 2023 draft. It's great at Bama unanimous play. He's always been good. This season, he's just the best defensive end period. Like, he leads the NFL in sacks. He leads the NFL in tackles for loss. He's an absolutely elite run defender. And until Miles Garrett comes back and looks like Miles Garrett again, I don't think it's even close. I think will Anderson's been the absolute most dominant defensive end in the NFL. And to me, defensive player of the year, it's just three players. It's will Anderson's the best defensive end. Fred Warner's the best linebacker, Jalen Carter's the best defensive tackle. And will I just, I don't know, he's been an absolute monster for Houston. Yeah. Feels like a little bit of a changing of the card. Sure. It does. It's cool that the Texans traded up. And we're like, we're just going to take Stratton. We'll Anderson at two and three. That's one of the worst trades ever by, like, by, like, the charts and everything. And I love that the owner basically, like, Demiko Rines went to Bama's defensive corners. Like, I won't really understand. And Nick is here. The GM's like, I want to see just drown. And the owner's like, fine. We'll just fucking get both. It's funny. It's always a good way. It's like, if it's a brunch, he's like, I want the omelette and the pancakes. I'm just going to get one for the table. Yeah. Table table table table. By the way, that's, it's the, it's the secret sauce of brunch with friends or breakfast with friends is pancakes for the table is the perfect order. Yeah. Yeah. I like that one. I like pasta as a course too. A little carbonara, just like I said. Oh, that's good. Yeah. Yeah. I'm into that. Will Anderson, one of the rare instances of one of the most, if not the most hyped players in college, turning into an elite player in the NFL. He's like what I thought your Davey and Clownie would be doing. Right. He's doing the boomer. He's destroying tackles. Yeah. Can I offer you Willie Anderson? Does that change anything? Willie Anderson? I think so. Yeah. A little more Pazazz. And, you know, he's like tank. He's number 51. What about and 50? No. And what? Not this really. That's actually terrible. Area 51. Oh, yeah. He's in Vegas. That'd be great. Yeah. Fuck. Houston. Houston. Houston. We should be problem. Houston. We have a problem. Apollo 13. There's something there. Houston, NASA, aliens, area 51. I don't know the miles gear at my coparsus thing with the lineup over at the center. And then they'll kind of just like cross over and go right through them knife through butter. Willie Anderson's doing that, but he's just fucking knocking them on their ass and then stepping over them. Like he's just bull rushing the center.
in the guards. It's, he's, it's so cool. Uh, number six on this list of making the leap. This is where I think we have to like make the cake. I'm a little, I don't think these are quite as unanimous. Tear drop, tear drop, save flowers, receiver for the Ravens. Yeah, I felt the need to give him his flowers. I, I think he's, he's a player who has produced in the past. He's had a high, you know, target rate. He's been a big part of their off. It's not like he's been an unknown player or a bad player. But I will say I thought he's been kind of messy at like mistake prone, you know, not suit, not as reliable as you kind of want as a number one receiver. People blocked really hard when they gave him that huge contract. And it was like, whoa, this guy got ex, however, like Justin Jefferson money to say, third or fourth most received a yard or money for a receiver or whatever it was. And, and so I think my opinion of him and my impression of him has changed. And I do see him now as an elite receiver. I know that we were nervous about him coming into the season because he doesn't score very many touchdowns. But I think just the way he's playing, the way he gets open, the impact he's making on the offense, Declan Doyle is absolutely cooking right now in terms of getting him open. He's, he has the most open player in the NFL. He's open, like figuratively in terms of like it just seems like he's always open. And literally if you call his football open, yeah. If you look at the fantasy points does, um, separation score. He's first and separation score versus man coverage and second and separation score versus zone coverage. He is quite literally always open. He's like 7-11. Um, and I think he's just been incredible this season. He's, he's done everything he's done on like 50% of the snaps. He's missed big chunks of two games or I think two at least two games. Um, and he's averaging over a hundred yards per game. He's absolutely blowing up to me. In my, in my mind, I've just, he's taken a big leap in my mind from a, I don't know if it's like a number two receiver is, that's maybe two harsh, but like, to me, he's a true playmaking number one now. Yeah, I want him to, if he was a factor in the end zone, I think he'd be there because he's a nontraditional number one. It's not a huge big guy, right? But it's like, neither is JSN. I mean, JSN's even bigger than Dave Flowers is. I do think JSN's an all-time, uh, sliding doors moment guy. God the gong. But when he got karate chopped at the goal line of the AFC championship game where he would have scored the game winning touchdown to go to the AFC championship game, uh, or sorry, to go to the Super Bowl. Right. But then the cheese went instead because he got knocked out and was a, you know, went out of the back of the end zone. That's just, we would think about him completely differently if he had like, like, basically one of the best moments in the history of the team. Yeah. And instead he was just like weeping after the game and it never really left him. I love how pigeonholed 7-11 could have been by their name, where it's like, we opened it seven and closed it 11 and then they're like, you know what, we're just gonna blow right past that and keep the name. We can't change the name. I would love emails of other companies that pigeonhole themselves with the name, but then had to just move past it because they evolved. I mean, even the word podcast. I mean, Facebook. Did you have Friday's Facebook? Did you have Fridays? Guys, we're open on Thursdays, Wednesdays, Tuesdays, even though Monday, Sunday, Saturdays. A podcast is named after an iPod, which is not a thing anymore and Broadway. Oh, yeah. That doesn't make sense. Even that's like internet movies, which is like barely what they're like putting shit in theaters now. You're watching TV shows on there. It's like a whole different thing. Yeah. Yeah. This is a good category. There's podcasts is a great one. Companies that didn't see where things were going when they named their company. What would you change the name of a podcast to Craig to make it sound more badass? Like when you're trying to tell strangers what you do for a living. Make it sound more badass. I want podcast. Yeah. Monster truck shark diving. I don't, to be honest with you, I think because podcasts are like basically just TV shows now. Like if you could just say like, I host a show. Yeah. Sounds way better. It does. Like good hang is like a TV show. You know, basically, it's right. The lines are getting so blurred, but yeah, we host the podcast. Amy pull her host to show. I do feel like if you're remote, it's a podcast. Yeah, let's not get too up in here. I look jack. Wait, do you get, wait, do you do that for a living? Like they pay you to make that podcast? It's the worst. I was like, have you heard of a podcast? He was like, no, I was like, oh, have you ever Spotify? He's like, no, I got nothing for you. He's like, it's kind of like radio, but you can listen to it. You must. You're really going to talking about stuff. Yeah. I always get like, when you're on the golf course and you like get paired with somebody and they're like, what do you do? And I'm like, ah, do I go for it? I try to like read them and be like, are they going to know what a podcast is for Spotify? Should I just say like I work in radio? The only thing lamer than being like, I host a fantasy football podcast is them being like, oh, and then you're like, no, it's like, it's like, it's like good, though. Sometimes I'll just say I produce podcasts, because that almost sounds more legitimate than I host. You know, yeah, I just my brain can host the podcast. Technically, not anybody can produce one. When someone says I host a podcast, my brain immediately goes to the kid in what, how to American summer, who they just put in the little cabin, and he's like pretending to host a radio show for the entire summer, but it's just not plugged in. Dude, even somebody who hosts a podcast, when I meet somebody else who's like, I host a podcast, I'm like, sure you know. Do you get paid for that? Wait, what's your real job? What do you do during the day? Number seven, Christian Watson. I was surprised you put Christian Watson so low. This should be like number two on here. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together? This is the ultimate like everything we thought, everything the data suggested from last year going into this year, just like worked out exactly like we thought. It was like, well, if you look at every game Christian Watson has ever played where he, you know, he runs 75% or more of the routes, he's like a top five fantasy ride receiver. He just needs more snaps, wicks, leaves, dobs, leaves, and it's just Christian Watson and Matthew Gold and Jane Reed. So Watson gets all these snaps. And immediately he is a top five ride receiver. Like he's the number three waters even fantasy right now. And all of that like physical electricity, big play, explosiveness is all totally there. You're just getting more of it. I think you could convince me Christian Watson. You could make the case to me. The Christian Watson's the best deep threat in the NFL right now. And I also think the Christian Watson. There was some like basically they do with touchdown regression. Touchdowns are like one or two percent of all plays. So when a player has 11 touchdowns in the season, it's nothing to do with the player. It's just like the odds that you repeat your performance on that like small percentage of plays. It's so small that if you score 12 touchdowns when you'll probably score five the next year. However, on the ends are there are certain players that are just it's actually a skill to get in the end zone. Like Devonte Adams, Mike Evans, Kelsey, Grant Kowski, that like over and over, they're always going to have so many touchdowns. Amanra St. Browns like this. I think Christian Watson's in this category. He just fucking scores a touchdown. So often when he plays, he's so good at getting the end zone. Deep passes near the near the goal line. He's been like that since he was a rookie. Like he's just, he's you know, what six touchdowns in five games. And I don't think that's weird at all. Who does he remind you of in terms of some of the all-time great receivers, you know, that style players in his sort of archetype of player where it's a deep threat, big-bodied guy who can get over the top of a defense. I was trying to figure out kind of his ceiling comp who it could be. Is it like a throughout trowel Owens or I don't know who it's I'm just trying to like kind of reimagine what he can be the rest of his career because I think injuries obviously hampered him early on. He was another one of those sliding doors moments. I think he missed his first pass from Aaron Rogers. He had him for a touchdown. And he drew it. Wow. I remember that. It was like, oh god. And then he got hurt and he's kind of battled injuries. But I'm trying to I'm trying to reimagine him as like an elite playmaker, one of the best receivers in the NFL. I'm trying to like compare him to somebody. And I don't know who to compare him to. It's a good question. No thing coming to mind. I'll think about that. It's almost kind of like the player that I think of immediately. This isn't a really good comp, but it's Brian Thomas Jr.'s rookie year. Yeah. If he kept going, he's kind of where I think Christian Watson could be. We got to get Austin on this. Austin, who do you think? Yeah. Well, we'll brainstorm that email us if you have a good con for Christian Watson. Next up, he said a MVS. MVS. Will Fuller. Marta Davis and his prime. Yeah. Next one. I don't. So generally speaking, these are younger players. They're guys entering their prime. I have a new one here, which is I want to nominate Mike Evans for the buck for, sorry, for San Francisco, who was elite for a long time. And then we removed. We decided he was washed. And I want to put him back. Is this like a re-leap? I don't know what it's called. It's like John Wick. It's like I'm thinking I'm back. Yeah. He just beat a shit every single movie. He's getting older, falls down 17 flights of stairs. Back, that worked in years. Mike Evans. That's pretty good. He totally is John Wick. The way he moves, he just moves like an old injured person. And you know, he has like no ligaments in his body, but he's still getting by. Oh my god. I think he should go to the Hall of Fame just based on that digs thing. The digs. That was the best thing I've ever seen. The way he grabbed them too, it was so like, who are you? He was so strong. Because to be honest, it felt genuine. It didn't feel like even like a tempting move. It was like, he was like, I genuinely don't know who you are. Right. Also like the strength of like the way he just grabbed
- He ragged all over. - He ragged all over. - So they're supposed to tackle him. It's just like, who are you? He looked like this was grabbing his jacket. - You know the way that Will Ferrell and Oldske are in Wedding Cresher's grabs Owen Wilson and he's like looking at him. Like, who are you? Like, he's put him in the light, trying to figure out, like, he's for, and I'm like, that's exactly what he's like. - Who's the fuck is this in my house? - Mike Evans. So my favorite, I think the best receiver stat is First Downs Perout Run, which I think is the perfect mesh of eye test and advanced stats. Because the point of every play is to get a First Down. And how often are you getting a First Downs the most important thing? And Mike Evans leads the entire NFL and First Downs Perout Run. One of every five routes that Mike Evans runs, the Niners get a First Down. And I will say that again, not every catch, not every route. Sorry, not every catch, not every target. One of every times Mike Evans runs a fucking route, the Niners get a First Down. And I just, the last player who had a number like that was Tyree Kill in 2023, which was when the Dolphins and Mike McDaniel were going 70 to nothing on the Broncos. And Tyree killed like 2000 yards almost. That's the last time a player in the first five weeks of season had point to First Downs Perout Run. He's awesome. - Yeah, if you look at that stat, if you just kind of eyeball it, it's all the most elite players in the NFL. - It's not fair also, but I think that Mike Evans will make the Hall of Fame 'cause he left Tampa Bay. For whatever reason, Tampa Bay just doesn't have the national infrastructure. And like Vita Bay and LaVante David and Mike Evans, I just had a great career. And they weren't as famous as they should be. And going to San Francisco, and Mike Evans will now be like a First Down Hall Famous. - I love it. I love Mike Evans. I'm so glad I haven't won so many teams this year. - I know, I haven't been in a team as well. And it's been fun. - Knock on wood. - Knock on wood. - When we do the rewatch, it's the end of the season. That's gonna win for best moment. Is him just grabbing digs? - God, that's fucking digs. Next up here, this one, and curious. Tyden was hard, but Dika, you texted Isaiah Lakeley. Tyden for the New York Giants. - You're a little dubious? This is your Giants that you're talking about here. - Well, I think this is a tear down. This is not like, he's not the best. Tyden, they didn't feel what it's funny. So the Giants Washington game, the other moment that happened, there were so many moments. There's fourth and seventh with the game on the line. The Giants needed to touch that and go over time. There's fourth and seventh. Isaiah Lakeley's like uncovered, and ends up getting the ball, getting to touch that. All my Washington fan friends were like, how do you not cover Isaiah Lakeley? He's like one of the best Titans in the NFL. And I'm like, yeah, he is one of the best Titans in the NFL. You should have covered him. He is one of the best. And I don't think it had even occurred to me that anyone thought that until we were there. - I think you just got to get used to it. You have to accept it. It's like trying out a new coat. Maybe you don't know how to think of it immediately, but then it just all of a sudden, you realize it's your best coat. Speaking of the first downs per route run thing, Hyphids, he is third right now in the NFL, behind Brock Barters and T.J. Hawkinson. He's 13th among all pass getchers. He has 19 first down receptions in this season, which is like seven off of his career high. - That's crazy. - Yeah. - Seven off his career high for first downs. - Yeah, this is one of those situations. I feel like in fantasy and the off season, we have a million scenarios that we lay out. And we're like, if this happens, then this will happen. We do this with 100 different players. The thesis and very, very, very simple thesis what Isaiah likely was. If he plays more, he's gonna be one of the best tight ends in the NFL. - It's not dissimilar to Christian Watson. - Yeah, Christian Watson's great example, Kenneth Walker, another great example. If you give him the ball a lot, he's gonna score a fuck ton of fantasy points. And I think that's what we're seeing with Isaiah likely. He played behind Mark Andrews the whole time. He was in Baltimore. If you look at any of the times Mark Andrews didn't play, and Isaiah likely was kind of the lead tight end on the team. He was scoring a ton of points in fantasy. And I think that was sort of the thesis that we had. And it's really played out. He's the tight end two in total points right now. The tight end three in points per game. Only bowers and McBride are ahead of them. He's playing 70% of the snaps. That was 49% in a time with the Ravens. 83% of the routes per team drop back 53% with the Ravens. He has a 29% target rate this season, which is fifth among all pass catchers. He never, he had 11% target rate with the Ravens in his career in Baltimore. So the other thing is he's playing wide receiver. He has 4% of his snaps. He's been lined up as a in line tight end. You know who could use him as the Ravens? It's really like this. I can't believe they chose Mark Andrews over here. I know, it's wild. I think this is like a very legitimately different if they had likely other team. I don't have any insight info on this, but my guess is Isaiah likely was like, I'm getting the fuck out of here. I can't be the number two tight end for my whole career. And the Giants wanted to make him their number one tight end. And he's like, great. - What was it get the fuck out? I mean, John Harball was the coach of the Giants. Like he clearly like Harball believed in him, but it's all to the user. - Right, but it's the same example. I think it's almost exactly the same with what happened with Kenneth Walker. Kenneth Walker, even though they won the Super Bowl. He's a Super Bowl MVP. Everything I heard was like, I'm out of here. I don't want to be the, I don't want to be committee approach and get taken out every time we get near the end zone. It's like just, I can't have a career like that. And I think the same as exact with like these like, I am good enough to get the number one tight end. - It's like if Kenneth Walker left to go play for Mike McDonald again. - Yeah, but yeah, I understand that. I understand what you're saying, but you know, I just don't think he was gonna stay. - Yeah, maybe he's hated Mark Andrews like you did. - Yeah. - Was like, the guy who can't, even the guy who can't catch got a contract. Why does he keep getting to play? - Do you guys have any honorable mentions for people who you think are a year from now or just later on? Well, you're like, okay, I think this person actually could be like, I think Aaron Rodgers next year is gonna take a leap. - You think? - Yeah, I think we're gonna really see something special year 44 of that next year. - It's a quarterback or is the host of a show? - Well, I think he might try to do both, which is what I'm, that's kind of the leap. He'll be the first game show host and quarterback in the same year, which would be impressive. - DK, do you have any honorable mentions to play or you think it's gonna make the leap? Aaron Rodgers is a good one. - Hmm, no, I think that's about it. - Oh, did I, did you, did I have one written down? I don't know, I can't remember. - I mean, there are guys like Denzel Boston who I think are like already look kind of special, Jaylen Coker or things like that. - But yeah. - Boston, yeah, Boston Coker Golden, I think those are great. - What has said, Concade after two weeks? - Yeah, he fucked you. I wasn't saying that. - That's kind of tough. - The Dallas Turner for Minnesota has been incredible. I made a lot of fun in Minnesota for like, trading up to take Dallas Turner for chop Robins that he would play a ton his rookie year, but Dallas Turner's been amazing for them as a past pressure. I also want to throw out there, I think there's a small chance that in five years, we look back at sunny styles in our Vell Reese linebackers for Washington and Giants as the Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase, I can't believe those guys played together at the same position in college award. Like styles and Reese's linebackers, like I kind of just think after Fred Warner gets old, those guys will just like be the best linebackers in the NFL. Okay, I will get to fantasy court, ringer fantasy league, everything. I want to kind of just read you an email. - Sure, yeah. - Before those. This is from David. - David. - D-bone. - In my high school, there was a freshman when I was a senior. And we went to East High, yes, the high school musical school. And our football team was one of the best in the state, playing in state championship games all the time, several division one players every year, et cetera. And on the team, he's a senior, but there was this freshman, this small, pretty chubby, dopey freshman. And over and over again, this kid, this freshman is begging to just play scout team against varsity. And as the year begins, this kid was a punchline because they had this running back when it was constant who would just flatten this kid in every practice. And then the defensive line, whenever this kid got a touch, this defensive line would just smoke this kid in the back field every single time he was on scout team. And the kid just coming back and back for more and more in every practice. And he was a running joke. And to be clear, the kid was not one of those freak athlete freshmen who deserved to play with the big dogs. Like he was tiny, he was slow, and everyone just clocked him every single fucking time. And fast forward to the end of the season, kid starts making plays, start scoring touchdowns, actually starts making big hits against the varsity squad, despite even though he was pretty small, relentless, and actually gained the respect of the entire team and the coaching staff by the end of his freshman year. This kid was Jalen Warren. Wow. And then Jalen Warren's got that dog in him. Jalen Warren went on to break every state record for Utah imaginable, all-time leader for Utah high school, rushing touchdowns and rushing yards. And then he won the Mr. Football Award for Utah, so best player in the state, for a MVP, and then went 14 and 0 and won a state championship a senior year, gets zero division one offers. So he starts his college at Juco, and the middle of nowhere at Utah, terrors it up, goes to Utah state, terrors it up, goes to Oklahoma state, terrors it up, goes undrafted, makes the Steelers, now he fights and fights like a movie script. Fast forward through coaching staffs. I think one of his former running back coaches was the running back coach of the Steelers. Fast forward, fast forward, fast forward. And now he is like Aaron Rodgers' most trusted player and probably the MVP of the Steelers offense. Yeah, I mean, he didn't make this list, but he was probably an honorable mention of us, somebody who was, quote unquote, made the leap. Although I think he's kind of always been this good, but him kind of having the showcase role in this Steelers offense, he is making the list. That's the kind of locker light. Just give him the ballboard. He's going to make good things happen. I love this email. He said, "Jalen warns the type of guy you want your kids to be like relentless work ethic, despite not having got given physical gifts." We love him. Now the whole country can see, he's a winner. He's just the type of player that know what he's ever going to be upset that they're on your team. He's never going to be a problem. You'll have a small role or a big role. He's just somebody you--
you always want on your team and will always be productive. >> Okay, ringer fantasy football league update, let's, quite the week, DK, you lost them on a football ticket cage, so DK and I, I needed to score six points and he couldn't do it for me. >> That's, you honestly, can't get the Cuck chair award for again, it's $3.30. >> I know, seriously. >> They scored, wait, they scored 35 points in fourth quarter. >> Oh. >> And he had a two point conversion, which is like the easiest, like, cheap way to get points. And I was like, oh, surely he's going to get six. >> It's almost annoying when you're going to get some point conversion, but because he's standing there in the end, so with the football and you're like, I get two points for this. >> Yeah, it's like, wow. So DK and I are tied for first place. >> All allow it. Wait, what? >> [LAUGH] >> No, you're right. I'm in first place. That's a great place. >> That is correct. >> That is correct. >> Heifetz is in first place. >> I am in first, because I've won one. >> Yeah. >> Well, that's not why, but yeah. So, Chris and Van are all tied for second. Although DK has the tie breaker in second place, because he has to those points. But we are one, two, three at this exact moment in time in this league. >> But let's cherish this moment here where we're all top three. >> We'll look back on this with your- >> We used to pray for times like these, boys. >> I mean, could we? >> Yeah. >> Atop the ringer 107. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> So that's nice. And then let's see here. Shane, 11th place, and even though he took a kicker in defense in the eighth and ninth round, that's so weird. >> Tate, what? Tate's in last. Tate drafted the winning team last year, right? Oh, no, the second place team this year, right? >> Yeah, second place team. >> Tate just was a hero, because he took Drake May, so I'm going to get him, and then that had a big, really important. >> Yeah. >> And then Mal. >> Mal. >> Also a picker defense. 10th place. >> Yeah. >> And players- >> You probably will also know who Parker was. >> Make it that connection. >> Yeah. >> Mal was very apoplectic during the entire Monday night football game. She's text to me. She was like- >> It was like fantasy football nihilism. She's like, I don't deserve happiness. I'm going to lose this game. We should- why do we do this to ourselves? I've been dire straits, and then she ended up winning. >> Dude, Drake May has single-handedly turned around my season. I went from ninth to third in one week. >> Yeah. >> You're like a real patriots. I put up 190 this week, and I'm just like now a top four scoring team. I was in the bottom of the barrel. Now I'm just third because of Drake May. >> You are like the patriots. Yeah. So there you go. Look at us. One, two, three. This will probably never happen ever again. So we should enjoy this. >> Who's the biggest threat to us right now? Chris Ryan's team is fourth right now currently. He's got your beer. >> Sean has Josh and Puka. >> Yes. Nothing else is thin, but that is enough to get you 60 points every week, and you can build off that. >> Yeah. >> I'm still scarred from losing a Mallory in the semis because she had Stafford and Puka, and I'm thirsted and it football dropped 80 points on me. So I went into a weekend down 80 to nothing with two players, and I just- yeah. Yeah. So there you go. Okay. I think it's time for fantasy court, this in session. >> Ooh. >> You definitely don't tell anyone about this thing that you're doing. I don't really want to be handcuffed. >> The definition of an object is a material thing that can be seen and touched. >> What do we got? Court is in session. First one here is from Charlie. >> Charlie. >> Chuck. >> Chuck says, my name's Charlie. >> You can say that. >> Chuck. >> You can say that, Chuck. >> That's Chuck. >> I'm just being shack, you can't say that, Chuck. Chuck, you can say that. They got big ass women in San Antonio. You can say that, Chuck. I can't say that. >> I can't say that. >> I can say that. I can say that, Chuck. >> I can say that. >> I can say that, Chuck. >> I can say that. >> Chuck writes, I can't say that, Jerry. >> You can't say that, Chuck. My breakfast this morning was two cups of coffee and a slice of quiche. >> Quiche. >> I did not see that coming. >> Chuck writes, I'm the commission of a family league that's in its first season. It's a 12 person league, a mix of die hard fantasy football players, but also first time players, and again, family league. And one uncle is playing for the first time, and this uncle is a very easy mark. I will further the sake of this email, refer to this guy going forward as the easy mark uncle. >> Mm-hm. >> You can call him Mark. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Mark, easy mark uncle. Mark was made, he was basically roasted at the draft because his draft sucked, and he was roasted a lot for it. And he finally reached a breaking point this week. But the league was going smoothly until this weekend, when almost every member of the league was in attendance at my cousin's wedding this past weekend. And at this wedding, everyone's roasting easy mark uncle. >> When a different uncle tells Mark, he'll give him JSN for $10,000. >> [LAUGH] >> Oh no. >> Damn. >> This is doing well. >> Wait, is Mark super rich too? >> I don't know. >> So, $10,000. >> $10,000. >> Mark's doing just fine. >> So- >> Oh, I forgot to mention, Mark is an executive at Google. >> It's Mark Zuckerberg. >> [LAUGH] >> Mark Zuckerberg. >> Wait, so this is Jason. >> You better lawyer up, asshole. >> Is this Mark pays $10,000 for JSN or Mark would receive $10,000 for JSN? >> The uncle was like, if you give me $10,000 grand, then I'll give you JSN. >> I'll give you JSN. >> So the uncle was joking, the other uncle, not Mark, it's two uncles in the story. He was joking. However, this conversation gives Mark an idea. And so he's like, and again, he's never played fantasy football. He's four weeks into playing fantasy football. So Mark now gets an idea. And he's like, oh, so trades can be made for the right price. So, during the wedding weekend, the course of the weekend, Mark convinces his son, who is 19, to trade him Jonathan Taylor and Nico Collins in exchange for Sequan and Darius Cooper and a set of custom fit golf clubs. >> [LAUGH] >> Oh, Mark. >> It's like during the wedding. >> Mark's just throwing around all kinds of money. >> So again, those new apex callaways, those could be yours. >> There you go. >> So again, Jonathan Taylor and Nico Collins for Sequan out with a hamstring and Darius Cooper. We had like five career catches. >> This is. >> And golf clubs. >> And a sweet set of blades. >> Yeah, sweet set of blades. >> So Chuck is writing. Chuck's the commissioner. He says, now I definitely egged on this conversation. >> Yeah, right. >> Because it was a funny bit. >> Yeah, now it's real. >> He says, I didn't think any crazy decisions would be made. And honestly, I underestimated my 19-year-old cousin's negotiating skills. And he says, there was obviously, I'll try to summarize. There was a lot of backlash at the wedding. Mark genuinely proud of himself. Many members start demanding at the wedding. I ban the uncle from the league and block the trade. I generally land with you guys about lame to block trades, not inclined to do so. I don't believe it changes the competitive balance of the league. It's not for money. There's nothing on the line here. >> Time for money. >> It's for the trade is for money. He's saying the league is not for money. >> No one paid an entry fee. >> I see, I see, I see. >> And he says, if you ask my opinion, I think that paying golf clubs for these two players is complete loser behavior. And I discuss this issue with my uncle. And the uncle tells me he just wants to be competitive and be respected. To which Chuck says, do you think the best way to be respected is to cheat? And the uncle says, yes. >> Look at the patriots. >> Yes. >> So he's basically like, I don't want this to be a lawyer league and I don't want to get into all these rules and everything. >> This is opening Pandora's box, though. >> Yeah, he doesn't know how to play fantasy. He says, my uncle just learned how to open up the game logs and the app. And he says, I don't, there's a lot going on here. It says, I am considering creating an anyone but mark alliance of sorts to just put him to just put it to him at the end of the season. But that might not be the most mature answer. What do we do? >> This is not collusion but corruption. This is, yeah, this is quite literally corruption. I don't think you should be able to give out of, you can't give money or gifts to get for trades in leagues. >> What are you used to not? But that one's kind of back. >> My buddy, this is just reminding me so much of my buddy back in the day in one of his leagues. He traded his car for Michael Turner. >> See, some, some libraries. >> That's the perfect person you could have chosen. >> Michael Turner. >> What car was it? >> It didn't run, but it was like a Volvo. >> This is Michael Turner. >> Michael Turner of cars. Was this the year Michael Turner was a top five? >> It was like late. >> Maybe like late career Michael Turner, I don't know. But yeah, I don't, I feel like that can't be legal. >> Well, it's not. >> I disagree.
I disagree with vetoing trades generally, but when there's corruption involved, yes, you can. - You probably have to reject this. - Now, if you're just gonna turn this into baseball, the richest team wins. - So what he has it in. - You want Mark to be the Dodgers? - So what? - Oh man, maybe the Darno-2 - He's gonna probably win, yeah. - So here's the thing, at what point is the gifts, like part of me is like, if you buy everyone golf clubs, fuck it. Did you bring him to the whole class? - Well, yeah, exactly, I was gonna say, did you bring enough of that candy for the whole class? - Yes. - If so, then that's fine. - Maybe he buys everyone one golf club. - Sure. - Which club though, a potter driver? - Yeah, sure. - Whatever they want. Obviously, this shouldn't be allowed, but there is a level of, if you're actually willing to pay so much in a league where no one's putting in money, I like that he's going, like, - Did he do the 10,000 for JSN? - That's what I wanted to know. - You should have done that. I mean, the clubs are gonna be too great. That's one of his other questions is, should I make him pay for more expensive clubs? - I don't know. - You can't allow this to happen. This is really funny. And we'll honestly probably make the holidays hilarious for this family, but you can't, 'cause then what? Then, like DK said, anything is on the table now. We're trading watches at dinner for Chase Brown. - I mean, we can't be doing that. - I think it has to, maybe you know what? Just allow this, but next year you'd make a rule before the season that everything goes. - Sure, corruption's fine. - Well, we had a league we were gonna do called the League of No Integrity, which is this league that, do you remember that? That's one of the best ones we ever got. - The only rules, there's no rules. So it's like one of those, like if you give your phone to your friend for Google Maps while you're driving, and they trade themselves like Christian McAfee for their kicker, that's allowed. Like that is allowed. Like everything goes, which I'm con, I mean, this is pretty great. I mean, I love that this guy is willing to spend $1,000, probably on new clubs to his relative in a league where he won't win any money if they win. - That's what I think you can't put a price tag on respect. - Like he just wants the trophy. He just wants to see his name at the top of the rankings, which is kind of amazing. - I love that he's like, you think the way to be respected is to cheat and he's like, yes. - Yes. - All right, I have one more here. This is from Adam. - Adam. - This is not really fantasy court. This is just fan court. - Okay. - Adam writes, "It's a lifelong San Diego Chargers fan. I have a serious question. At what point is it acceptable to renounce my fandom into clear free agency?" - You can do it now. - Yeah. - That was easy. - Yeah, the team moved. - The team moved. - Yeah, I agree that this is an old bill rule too, is when the team moves, you get a window to change. He says, "Will I be well?" 'Cause he says, "The only thing keeping me around is I went to Oregon and Herbert's at alumni." And he asks, "If they get you, are my Smith, can I come back?" And I think, "Yeah, fuck it. They fucked you." They left San Diego. - I think you can leave and I think you can go back. - Yeah. - Yeah. - I think that's fine. - Now who cares? - Who can pick a new team? He can't go pick the Buffalo Bills, right? Does he have to go? - I don't think there is a little bit of ground floor element. Like, you have to pick a team that is in bottom half of the league. Otherwise, it feels a little weird. - But he should know, you should probably take the geography thing and just slide into being a Ram's fan. Like, you just take it. It's the other closest team. They're really good and you get the one-time pass because the charges left. Just be a Ram's fan, take it. - Craig? - Craig, you became a Dodgers fan. So. - The A's stopped being a real team. - Right. - They literally removed the city from the official name of the team. - Right. - They're in different leagues. - And also, all of my in-laws are huge Dodgers fans. That was gonna be my point is like, find family connections, perhaps. - There's your partner from. Where are your partner's parents live? You know, like, are there other kind of connections that you can make to a different team? - That is a good thing of like- - You don't wanna be on an island fan anyway. You know, like the rest of your family likes the Eagles. Just start like an Eagles, you know? - That is a funny version though of, you're not a fair weather fan. You just married into like fandom. It's like instead of marrying rich, it's like you married someone. Yeah, they're um, Bama, Warriors, Dodgers, like. - I have it. - Yeah, it's why the only reason I can like defend half rooting for the Dodgers is 'cause I'm like my entire in-laws are huge Dodger fans and from LA. And it kind of helps. I told CR the other day, we did a rewatchables and before it, we were watching the game too of the Dodgers brewers. And he was rooting for the brewers. And I was like, oh, you don't like living in LA for 20 years as it influenced you. It always like, no, fuck no, fuck the Dodgers. And I was like, well, I'm rooting for the Dodgers. He's like, oh, come on. And I was like, what? If I got the family. And he's like, what happened? It's, but it is like that with you though. Where it's like, you have all the reasons, but it feels, yeah. It's like, it's like, it's like the sports version of some relative you never met just left you like $300 million. Exactly. It's like, when you stack the A's like ceasing to exist as a real professional baseball team coupled with me living in LA and marrying into an LA native die-hard Dodger family, it works out. I have to tell you, I think you're just. Also, it's like half of a bit. Yeah. Right. 'Cause I also, 'cause I also root for the Padres. That is actually the craziest. You can't, that's the thing. 'Cause you're a Padres fan. Sure I can't. You're doing Dodgers cosplay. I can absolutely root for both. You can do whatever he wants. What do you care? (laughing) Have you seen that clip? You know the comedian Conor of Maui? He's like the funniest fucking guy in the world. He's like so aggressive. Like he'll never be an a-lister because he refuses to do anything mainstream. He's just so aggressively alternative and weird and he's like the funniest guy in the world. He's married to 80 Bryant. He was on Seth Meyers, like, I don't know, months ago at this point. And he told Seth Meyers, he's like, "I'm watching billions in 60-second chunks on TikTok." (laughing) And Seth Meyers is like, what? And he's like, yeah, I just scroll and I watch 60 seconds of billions. And he was like, how many episodes do you watch a day? And he's like, how many minutes are there in a day? And then he was like, like, he was like, why are you doing that? Why don't you just watch the regular show and he just goes, what do you care? (laughing) - It's like when we got Matt Eifan's for watching Soprano's out of order. - He's like, what the, what do you care? - What do you care? - What do you care? - What do you care? - What do you just watch? Why don't you just watch it regularly? What do you care? (laughing) Let me do what I want. What do you care? - You're fantasy rankings next year. - Oh, that's funny. He's the best. I love that guy. (laughing) Him and the movie Friendship when he's wearing the Army hat. Like a better guy. - Like a stolen valor. Yeah, and he goes, oh, Army, did you serve? And he goes, no, just a fan. (laughing) Took the best joke in the last five years. Oh, you deserve, no, just a huge fan. - Oh my God. - All right, speaking of huge fan, we have to say happy birthday to Jerry Jones, who's turned 84 today. October 13th, you're probably listening to this Wednesday, October 14th. But today's, we're recording this Tuesday, and Jerry Jones turns 84. Still older than Joe Biden. - He didn't fall. - And always will be. Oh, it depends the account, I guess. But will someone, do someone want to read the story that he told on 105, the fan? - Okay, he's got a fan. - Okay, so this is Jerry Jones this morning on 1053, the fan. He's sharing one of his greatest memories from his trips to Green Bay. After the game against the Packers, maybe 25 years ago, all my grandchildren were very small. Four or five years old, I had a car full of them. It was so cold, we won, we left the stadium, we were in a long, long big car, limousine, maybe. A long big car, and I saw this lady heading toward the car. She comes up beside the car running. She was so upset as a Green Bay fan. She was pretty hefty. And she turned, she was, can't say that Jerry. And she turns around and pulls it all down and just plants it right up against the window. Everybody inside was in shock, I couldn't believe it. And then her skin stuck to the window, it was so cold. When she pulled away, there was a big print sitting there on the side of the car. There was 10 or 11 of us in the car. We can see it today. What kind of car is this? 10 or 11 people in the car? So she goes, ask cheeks to the window and then they get stuck to the window. And they get stuck a Christmas story style. Tongue to the pole. Yeah. And then she peels her cheeks off the window and leaves the mark for the family to stare at for the ride home. I like the idea that they can still see it. And I don't know if he means literally or metaphorically, but I like the idea that the ghost of it will never leave. I like that Jerry Jones on his birthday called into the fan and told that story. Oh, he does that every week. I know, but his birthday, he's like, I want to tell this story today. Well, it's his birthday. What does he want to do? Talk of the radio. I will say this, I hate the cowboys and I don't want the cowboys to win the Super Bowl. However, I really do want Roderick Adel to hand Jerry Jones and Lombardi Truffy and then Jerry Jones get to talk into a microphone. He would talk for 10 minutes. He would give the longest speech in the history of television. Like, it's undeniable that Super Bowl week, if the cowboys were in the Super Bowl would be electric because of Jerry Jones. I would actually just do a live stream. I would just watch Jerry 24/7 for the entire two week period. Yeah, I would stalk him and just follow him on the camera for a week. It's actually crazy. They cannot make an NFC championship because like the ultimate NFL content is this man just fucking getting to talk for two weeks in a row. Pulls it all down. I thought it was kind of a class you were to say. I know, yeah. That's exactly what he was talking about there. I first, yeah, I didn't know if it was top of bottom, but then when he said, turned around. When he said she turned around, yeah, that kind of indicated it was a moon situation and not a, not a topless. Yeah. Also, I got to say, hey driver, drive these.
(laughs) - Hey, driver. I, the car must've been pretty low because I feel like I can get the cheeks on the window. - Yeah, yeah. And it had 11 people in there. - That must've been a limo. - Yeah, it must've been a limo. - 'Cause if it's like a mid-sized car or anything like that, you can't get-- - Cars were lower in the, in 25 years ago. - Yeah. - They didn't make 'em like they, they do now. - Okay, a couple of emails. - Emails. - This one's a Ryan and Tulsa. - Ryan. - Our bone. - Breakfast today, banana cereal ice black coffee. - Nice. - Banana cereal? - No, banana comma. - Banana cereal. - I got it, comma, ice black coffee. Good question though. Ryan writes, "Listening to Craig and Heifetz argue over NFL over time." Here's the difference of their opinions in a nutshell. Over time's a bonus, right? It's like, "Hey, it's free extra football." So let's say that the football game is a nice dinner. And then the chef comes out and says, "You all really enjoy yourselves. "You'd like to offer you something on the house." - More chicken breast. - There you go. "Heifetz wants over time to be more dinner." Heifetz like, "Food's good. "We're having a nice time. "I didn't know I was still hungry, "but now I kind of am. "We'll take another entree." Craig wants over time to be dessert. It's still food, but it's also definitely not dinner. It's a little indulgent, but hey, it's free. - Yeah. - I want a nice court. - Yeah. - Should, should over time be dessert or should it be more food? - That's a funny analogy. Ryan kind of nailed that. That's good. - Yeah. - My buddy came up with that idea that's kind of a compromise between the college rules and then it fell rules, which is each team gets possession, but you only get two minutes to score. You have to run a two minute row. - That's plenty of time. - That's more than enough time. - That's. - Come on, two minutes. - And then a gong plays at the end. - Right. - What are you gonna do for the other minute, 53? - Yeah, exactly. So yeah, you just like, it's a two minute row, instead of running a fucking full quarter. Eight minute, like drive down the field, matriculate. - I got an even better one from Alex. That's kind of like that, but on steroids. - Okay, that's rude. - Rude to my friend, but okay. - I mean, who's your friend? Fuck your friend. - His name's Ben. - Well, it's rude. - You know, Ben, you get great, but Alex is gonna build on top of that. How about that? - Okay. - Thanks for weighing in though Ben. - Thank you. - Yeah, that's a great thing. - So from Alex. - A-boned. - See, A-planed Ben. B, so it's A. Yeah. Alex writes bacon, fried eggs. Fried in bacon fat. Who holds with melted cheddar hot sauce? - Damn, that's a nice phrase. - That sounds really good. - Yeah. - I'm talking about melted cheddar on it. Sounds awesome. - And Alex writes. - This is just quoting Alex here. He says, "Not pussy hot sauce." Like Chalula, I mean, real hot sauce. - Okay. I don't like habanero. What are we talking here? - I don't know. He didn't say. - Okay, hot ones. - All right. - None of that pussy shit. - Yeah. - So I like fucking Chalula. I'll go fuck myself. Okay. So Alex writes. - Like ghost peppers. - The whole email is kind of like that. - This guy's aggressive. Okay. - Yeah. - We got it. - He's setting the tone. - Alex writes, "Guys, I just solved over time in the most epic but pragmatic way possible." - Keep talking. - No bitching. - No moaning over coin flips. No crying. We didn't get a chance to touch the ball 'cause time ran out. Everyone, this is the Don Draper meme. Everyone gets to touch the ball at the same time. - What? - Each offense starts at the other 25 yard line simultaneously. So it's instead of college overtime, alternating. They're both doing the college overtime thing at the 25 yard line at the same time. - Let's create. - Let's fending their own ends at split screen. Each defense is defending their own ends on. That's right. Both teams, offenses and defenses are on the field at the same time on offensive field. First team to score, touchdown wins. - Oh. - No doubt. - No fouls. - No fouls. - Fucking cooking here. - No substituting. No fuss. - Yeah. - Someone gets injured, you play a man down. - Or it's like, sure, you can substitute. That's waste in time. Clock's ticking. - There you go. - I think this is actually one of the best ideas I've ever heard. - I've always used it first. - Going down the other way. No, it's the both of the 25. Yeah, first, you get it. - Do they have unlimited downs to get into the end zone? - Unlimited downs. - Okay. - Which I don't know how I feel about that, but like, there's something here. - No clocks, no downs, no field goals. - Just go. - You know what's more like the end zone wins. - Well, it's like, you know, like head coaches that don't call plays, like which side do they choose? Like, it's hard on the offense. It's hard on going to the defense. Like seeing how the team splits up and be fascinating. Joe Bucka, one way Aikimin goes the other to call his side. - He literally says the problem is the referees who have to split up between both sides, but that's good. Let the boys play. - Yeah. - Sick. - This is like Mad Max, but foul. - Alex literally end the meal. - Thunder dome, yeah. - Alex literally ends the e-mail with, I'm a big idea guy. Everyone else can figure out the rest. Well, crowdsourced to my new shirt. I just made overtime the most fun event sports you will. - This guy probably makes 800 grand. - This guy was Jordan Delford in the '90s. - Selling. - Yeah. - Maybe I understood it. He makes 20 million a year. - I mean, 51 million dollars. It really pissed me off. Yeah, it really pissed me off. - Wow, this is, he was right. That pitch was kind of like his breakfast. No pussy shit. - I will say, we were talking about what if the Savannah Banana stood for? - I wanna buy this. I don't know why, but I do. - Like, what if the Savannah Banana stood football, not with all the dancing and singing, but like, there are some things they do that's great, which is I love that if a fan catches a ball with two outs in the inning, that the inning's over, like a foul ball, that's like an all time rule. And this is like the two things we came up with is kickers should come out like closers and baseball with walk-up songs. This is also something they'd actually have to do for Savannah Banana football is like, overtime is just first one to score wins. - Buddy, can you send us other ideas? 'Cause I like this. Keep sending them. Keep them coming. - This is amazing. - Tell me what hot sauce you're eating too. - I think this is incredible. - I like a good hot sauce. - One more email here. This is from Pierce. - Pierce. - Oh yeah. - Peaball. - During last week's Farter Shart, Craig said the phrase, you start to do it, but then you suck it right back up. - Yeah. (laughing) - Do you regret that? - Not at all. - Okay. - Pierce writes I couldn't help but think back to one of the most off-disgust and controversial nights of my life. - I like where this is going. My cousin's wedding. - Oh no. (laughing) - He's like, I tried to trade J.H.S.N. for $10,000. - Cousin's wedding, few too many beverages, end of the night. Everyone who stuck it out is a long and winding shuttle bus ride back to the reception venue. - Did he say where this was? - No, just for context, I'm curious. But okay. - Wait, he's shuttling back from the wedding. - It's at the end of the after party. And I think they're going back to the hotel. Like, you know, wedding reception after party and their bus is taking them back to the hotel. - Okay. - He says, I'm sitting at the back of the bus next to my girlfriend and I am turning greener and greener with every curve in the road. I'm not going to make it. Pierce writes rather than say anything or stop the bus or puke on the wedding bus to have everyone smell puke and maybe start a puke fest. - Oh, I don't like where this is going. I lean back in my seat. I tilt my head up and I start puking my brains out without ever opening my mouth. And after every round, I just choke it all back down. - No! - No! - God, this is disgusting. - And after quite some time of me sitting like this, not saying a word, my girlfriend looks over to me and sees my eyes bloodshot watering my mouth clenched tight. She asks me what the fuck is going on? Before the horrific truth dawns on her. Now keep in mind, I'm shit faced. This is like, would be projectile vomiting. - How's he keeping it in? - I don't know. - You physically can't do that. - Multiple waves of projectile vomiting that he's just taking. And he says it's taking everything I've got to keep sucking it back up. - That's crazy. - This is like, feels physically upon us. - It's like a feedback loop. You like swallow it and puke it, swallow it, puke it. - Oh my God. - So he says the backwards head and throat tilt required to accompany his head. - He put his head back to help have gravity help. - His family and friends now coin to term for this called pelicaning. - Oh my God. (laughing) - This is the one of the most disgusting things about her. - We got some hardcore listeners today. - This guy and then Alex are talking. - They should hang out. - So Pierce writes, am I a hero or am I a disgrace? - I mean, kind of bold. - Yeah, this is one of those rare moments where I'm simultaneously impressed and disgusted. - I would love to start.
