Big Changes in Philly, Plus Week 5 Preview: One Stat for Every Game
88m 42s
The episode dives into key NFL games and team dynamics for Week 5, focusing on the Eagles’ controversial trade of center Cam Jurgens to the Ravens. This move, driven by both desperation and long-term planning, underscores the Eagles’ potential decline as a competitive team due to a collapsing offensive line and a lack of depth. The Ravens, meanwhile, are investing heavily to stabilize their center position, recognizing the critical role of the center in their defensive scheme, especially under Mike Maryland’s pressure-based defense. Other highlights include the high-stakes 49ers vs. Seahawks rivalry, where explosive plays and defensive pressure create a tense matchup; the Bills vs. Rams game, where weak special teams performance threatens a close outcome; and Washington’s controversial decision to start Jayden Daniels with a brace on his injured arm. The analysis also touches on fantasy football implications, noting the need for flexible lineups due to injuries and questionable player availability. Ultimately, the episode emphasizes how team instability, injuries, and strategic trades shape the season’s trajectory, with several games embodying the tension of desperation and rivalry. The overarching theme is that even in a league with strong talent, the most significant factors in outcomes are often team health, coaching decisions, and the resilience of core positions.
On today's episode of the Ring of Fantasy football show, the Eagles traded their center to Baltimore. Tom Brady's two teams are playing each other. Sean Payton took play calling back in Denver, D.K., I know you're stunned. Absolutely stunned. It actually took longer than I thought. Yeah, we thought it'd be three weeks. It was four. Not bad. All that. And more, we have all the games for week five coming up plus songs that we would roll up our windows if it was that a red light because we're embarrassed by them. We got to work on that name again, it's songs you're embarrassed you love and that you keep making a long guilty pleasures. We should call it guilty pleasures, guilty pleasure songs, sure, but I feel like embarrassment is important, but sure, we five preview after the break. This episode is presented by Verizon. Welcome to the Ring of Fantasy football show, my name is Danny Hyves and I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Coralbeck and we're going over all the games for week five of the NFL season. We're going to jump right in, starting with the London game where they two and two Eagles are at the Jaguar and this is the home game for the Jags. The Jags, you know the Jags are playing away from their stadium at 26 of their next 30 games. What? What? Because they're doing renovations on their stadium over the next year and a half. So they're like in and out of their stadium, they're doing these games in London. They have four games at their own stadium in the next 30. Well, they're the only team in the NFL where the NFL actually explored permanently moving them to London. Like they actually could really truly consider that. So yeah, Jags very used to London, but first of all, just as always, just set your line up. So ready. If you have any Jaguars or Eagles to set your line up, if you say quants in your lineup and you haven't moved them, move them. If Parker Washington's in your flex, move them to receiver, just batial to it and put them in your running back spot, not your flex, whatever. Deal with that. Keep an eye on Devante Smith, too. Who knows what's going on with that? Yeah, just if you're going to be out partying your second Saturday, just deal with it before. And I said, I want to start with Eagles Jaguars. And my one fact for this game is that the only Eagles starting offensive lineman from their Super Bowl run for Philly two years ago that will play in this game is Jordan Milotta, the left tackle. It's crazy how quickly it all kind of falls apart and raffles. Yeah, Lane Johnson retired. They traded Cam Jurgens almost immediately. Now we have backups that I've never heard of. A lot of people were sharing with us the picture of their guard and right tackle next to each other. It's like the full on Derek Henry, Mark Ingram picture. Rob and big. Yeah. It really is. Yeah. Well, William Jenkins actually, he was a good guard at UNC, but he's not the size that you need to be. Right. To be a full offensive guard. Do you think height consistency across the line is important? I think there's a there's a bench that you mentioned. Mark, you have to hit. Yeah. Like a roller coaster. So you think it's a problem of having a six seven guard and a five 11 guard. Is that a problem? I do think it. Yeah. I think it'll do. I can't help. Well, maybe that's made. Wait, hold on. Is there a world where this is how Jalen Hertz starts to throw over the middle of the field? Because when they won the Super Bowl, because he can see now, because I bet it was like side of the line. Yeah. Oh, they're all guards were six foot six. Maybe it's to get some five foot ten guards. And Jalen Hertz is going to just start peppering McCoy lemon over that between the nuts. I like that. This is a good zag. There's something here. But oh, yeah. But it's landed. Dickerson's on injured reserve. He's a great guard for them. I mean, Cam Jurgens is in Baltimore and Lane Johnson retired. So you've got to your point, we have Willie Lampkin, this like Pipsqueak guard. Five more. He'll tell Bell, who is a developmental player that maybe in three years, he's a propeler. But over the next three weeks, Mark Helbell is probably going to be the worst right tackle in the NFL. Austin shared a video that he watched from the game the other day where Mark Helbell. He like barely moved before the guy that he was going up against, sacked the quarterback. He like, it was like one of those things where it didn't look like he knew the play had started. But he did. No, it looked like Santa Claus was out there playing tackle. It was, it was bad. He got destroyed. Yeah. So I guess I think we have to start here at DK because I think this is the question around the Eagles. Do you see this? The Eagles? Again, Cam Jurgens, so he wasn't actually center for them this season because their Eagles have gotten so desperate. They moved Cam Jurgens, who is the Jason Kelsey replacement and has been center for them for the Super Bowl run. They moved them to guard last week because they're so desperate. And now they've traded them to Baltimore to be a center again. Do you see this is the Eagles just kind of taking a profit on a player? And they're like, the Ravens are desperate and they just got a second on pick for a center? Or do you see this as the Eagles waving the white flag on this season? Uh, man, that's a really tough question. I do think more than most teams, probably the Eagles feel very self aware, especially how he roseman and just in terms of, you know, where they are as a team, whether they're able to compete. And Roseman's always kind of ahead of the curve, feels like a lot and a lot of things. And so I don't know if waving the right, the white flag is the right way to put it necessarily, but it's like the writing is on the wall kind of. And I think he's capitalizing right now. Like you said, the Ravens really were desperate. They now have two first round picks in 2028, two second round picks in 2028. They're kind of loading up for, is that right? That the year, uh, uh, yeah, the fifth round is this year. And I think Eagles are doing out of some tapping and fantasy drafts too, which is no one wants to trade 27 picks. So the Eagles are stacking 28 and they got a 2028 first for AJ Brown as well. So to me, it just feels like there's a lot of teams, a lot of franchises that would be like, we're going to just string this out for as long as we possibly can see if we can, you know, make some noise and hope for the vest and the Eagles in this case feel like they are acknowledging that they need more talent and they need to start stacking up a draft capital for the future to kind of like rebuild this thing. I feel like who a DK said, when he said capitalizing on a good offer, I think that's right. I think both things can be true. I think, look, I think if the Eagles don't think it wouldn't the Super Bowl this year, I don't think they trade camjergans, but it can also be true that the Ravens see a window and they desperately need help on the offensive line. So they overpaid. Yeah. And it was just a good deal. Like I kind of think it's both. If Lane Johnson doesn't retire, do they make this trade? I don't know. I mean, I have to imagine if you think you have a legitimate shot to win the Super Bowl, you probably don't trade camjergans. I think that's the simplest way to put it. Yep. I totally agree. And again, it's funny. I know it's entirely not because of Jeff Stoutland in the offensive line coach leaving, but it's funny that when he retired, we basically were like, we'll give him a month with Sireani and no Stoutland and that is what happened, you know what I mean? Yeah. Now, whether that's Stoutland seeing where everything was going or them actually falling apart without him, it's just the Eagles have had a great offensive line for 10 years. They had Lane Johnson. You know what I mean? They had, I mean, they had Jason Kelsey, you know what I mean? They had Jason Peters, who was a, I mean, probably like a borderline, hall of fame left tackle. And then they were able to reset and do it once. It's hard to reset your entire line, you know, over and over and they just had these waves coming in almost like, you know, it's like Man City, the players coming in off the bench. You're like, how good is this guy? Like, I joked about it all the time. The Eagles once had the guard, the backup guard in the NFC championship game was Entry Dillard, who was a first round left tackle they drafted. Was their backup right guard? McKay Bechton was a first round left tackle for the Jets, like they were just taking all these swings and they're just out of players now on the offensive line. But I think we could talk about the trade a little more. I think the Baltimore angle is interesting. But I think that this now is like a huge season for Jalen Hertz. I want to, so Chris Long who has the Green Light podcast, how to great, he just summarized it so well for Jalen Hertz and he played on the Eagles and which, you know, even if they didn't overlap very much, like I think it carries weight when a former eagle is criticizing Eagles. And Chris Long, I just want to reach you what he said. And he was like, the Eagles is not the only bad offensive line in the league. At some point, Jalen Hertz has to prove that he has not been propped up by an all world offensive line and two number one wide receivers and a running back that was on the mat and cover. Yeah, I mean, my homes has had a bad offensive line, much, most of his for like the last three or four years. I feel like Hertz, even in college, NFL offensive lineman, Hertz and Alabama had four different receivers drafted in the first round and two running back drafted in the first round. Yeah, I mean, I don't you think I'm almost like ready to write off the Eagles. Like I feel like they're going to be a bottom five offense to finish the year. What do I have to feel good about? Safequans banged up. He's not going to play for a couple weeks. The offensive line is now bottom five, they received Devante Smith's heart. They have no other receivers that are really popping. Their tight end is hurt. Like what? Why they're first round receiver is kind of doing nothing. Yeah, but I love it hasn't done a whole lot. There's seven and a half point underdogs against the Jags. Like that's a theory. Like when you think Eagles and Jags, those teams should be equals. They're a touchdown difference in the spread. It's also funny, though, because on one hand, the division is so unreach the giants of three and one. Totally. The giants have never beaten Jaded Daniels. The giants lose. The Cowboys offense is great, but the Cowboys defense is terrible again. The Cowboys defense.
is outweighing the offense again, the vision should be enriched. But I do think, I don't mean to make everything about Jalen Hertz, but it is what it is. How many times can Jalen Hertz, he seems more frustrated as well. I don't think it's what he is in a weird way, an average quarterback, I don't mean average, but that he is a great reflection of the talent around him. Totally. And when he goes out, talent around him is elite. They can win the Super Bowl. And when it's like, it looks really bad, the Eagles look really bad. And again, they've had this flip flop cycle over and over and over and over again, where when the offensive line fell, it's not the first time like it happened in 2021, it happened in 2023. When the line camp lock, the team looks is unable to move the ball. And they have again, half their drives go three and out. Wouldn't it just be perfect if the Eagles won this game? They probably will. It would be so funny. I don't know the financials around that. And if it's actually possible, but do you think there's any chance that that happens? Oh, of course. I mean, I bought low on him. And now they're trying to, recoup some of that value. Yeah. I could look into the contract, but just fundamentally, if the, I mean, think about it. When was the last time you saw a good offensive lineman traded mid season? Like it doesn't happen. Like he's getting your against is making $16 million a year, which is both a hefty contract, but also probably good with the center market. You don't see often starting offensive lineman traded ever for teams that are competitive. So just by the nature of that, that to me tells me sake one is available, even if they don't want to trade them. DK Seattle. Seahawks for sake one. I mean, I would not complain. I don't want to give up like a first round pick or anything like that, especially after they just used one on a running back who so far has not looked great. But yeah, I mean, Seattle was one of the teams they connected to the sake one idea and their run game has been really bad, which is something that we'll talk about when we get to that game. But yeah. So I mean, I would, I would be for it generally. Yeah. Overall though, just the wrap up the Eagles thing. I, this is a really important game. I, you know what I mean? Like it's just for the Eagles, the team around like it's, you know what I mean? Sometimes like it does matter a lot. Like it is weird for the players on the team to be like, we traded Kim yogans. Like that is a weird thing for again, for a pick in two years. Like the players are aware it's not a 2027 pick. So I, I, I have to imagine it's going to be hard to get motivated in this game thinking of that. All right. Howie Roseman is clearly planning to retool for two years from now. All of our best players aren't playing in this game on offense, except for Jalen Hertz. And now, and we just traded away our Pro Bowl Center guard, whatever. And now it's like, no, no, everything's fine. Let's, let's get it. Let's get a dub. I don't know. Notifications a problem in this game. But the truth is there are a lot of conversations after meetings where guys end up in the parking lot just being like, what's going on? And like there's a lot of phone calls and people are confused. And it's more like if they lose, if they have a losing streak during the season, then the morale really drops. Like this game, everyone's like, fuck them. We're going to show the world. I think things like this affect your ability to bounce back from losses. Frank, I think the Eagles could go like four and 13 this year. I would be curious. And again, 2020, the other thing I'm just putting it out there. I know it sounds crazy to be like, maybe the Eagles are going to get out of the Jalen Hertz contract. And maybe Eagles fans will be mad. I'm saying it. They literally already did that with Carson Wentz. They went to a Super Bowl. Carson Wentz should have won the MVP. They gave him Carson Wentz a huge contract after that Super Bowl. Even though Falls won it. And then Carson Wentz came back and they freaking traded Wentz to the Colts and salary dumped them. All these picks in 2028 align with when the Eagles could get off the Jalen Hertz contract. I'm going to jump off of the world. Jalen Hertz is the Steelers quarterback next year. I should date. He obviously hurts. He's very. He's very. He's a perfect Pittsburgh Steelers. Was he born anywhere near the Pittsburgh area? He's born three weeks in Pittsburgh for a camp or something like anything would work. I just used to into Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh would fucking love the Tush push. Oh my gosh. Perfect. So the other. So I think the Jags will win. But yeah, it'd be funny if the Eagles win. The other game here. So the Ravens are at the Atlanta Falcons and the Ravens are the flip side of this trade, getting Kim Yurgens at center. Yeah. Yurgens are Jergens. I'm I kind of just been saying Yurgens and no one's ever stopped. I've been saying Jergens the whole time. And now I feel like am I wrong? I can actually pull it up. Yeah. But I think so. Here's my you want to talk about the Ravens head of this trade and then the Falcons. Sure. I get it from the Ravens. I think they overpay it and also think it makes sense because the Ravens are on the four string center. Yeah. They're literally I mean the fifth string if you count Tyler Lindermom leaving in March and free agency, right? Like they're the back plan B was to have, you know, Danny Pinter, Danny Pinter in August. He's out. He got injured. They lost two centers in week three in Brazil versus Dallas, which that feels held up better than we thought. But it is notable. They lost two different centers in that game. So then they tried Vega. You want to last week. And he's a again, a rookie guard who's never played center. You know, hard it is to be your rookie and then try playing center. Like you're basically like taking a violinist in an orchestra who's never fucking been there and been like, okay, now you're the conductor of the whole thing. Like it's just not a realistic thing to ask. So then you lose Lamar. And now once you can't have a rookie guard playing center with a backup quarterback. And so it looks a little desperate, I think, to trade a second. But I look at it like this. Kim Jorgins is under contract till 2030. Like he's under contract longer than Tyler Lindermom for 16 million a year, which is about two thirds of what Tyler Lindermom's making. So while it's an overpay, at least it's basically they went through band-aid, band-aid, band-aid. And they're like, okay, we're getting stitches. Like we're actually going to fix this thing. And it's an expensive solution. But it is like a long term solution. And I prefer that than like what the cults did where they're give two first drum picks for sauce guard or at the trade deadline. Like I think I get why you would want to do this. I do too. It signals to me that the Ravens coaching staff for an office that they like believe in this team. Like yeah, Ravens are three in one. They look great. The Declan Doyle offense looks awesome. Lamar looks great. They flowers. Derek Henry still got it. Like to me, this is like we have a shot. The division is open. Totally. Like the Steelers and the Browns. I don't think you're going to win the division. The Bengals, I don't think are that good. Like the Ravens once again have a shot here. I don't think there is a dominant team in the league right now. Like the AFC is open. The Broncos are struggling. Like the Ravens have a legit shot to make the Super Bowl this year. And I think they're like, let's go for it. We can't do it without a center. Even if we have to overpay. It's funny. The Domino effect, too, of the rate. The Raiders dramatically overpaying for Linderbaum, which in turn made the Ravens dramatically overpay the trade for, I mean, whatever. Like we'll see if it's an actual quote-unquote overpay based on like all the reactions to this trade. I think it feels like a pretty steep price to pay for a guy like Georgians. But yeah, I mean, it is funny how kind of that that works all together. You have the other Ravens Raiders contract news with the Max Crossby trade. Right. The thing next. The other thing is, I mean, just, yeah, like the state of the Ravens, when you lose a guy named Javan, what is his name? Javan Gwen. Like I'd never even heard of this guy. And then he gets hurt. And you're going past him in terms of trying to fill that center spot. They just had to make a move basically and trying to get this fixed. This also, by the way, moves Vega on it back to this like natural spot. So you're upgrading two spots. And the last thing about this is center is more important than it's been. And there's a reason center is getting paid and Tyler Linderbaum got all this money. Because I think the other reason the Ravens did this is the style of defense that Mike McDonald plays in Jesse Minter, who both write Michigan under Jim Harbaugh and the Baltimore with John Harbaugh, but the style of defense that they're doing, which is like a reinvention of Rex Ryan, it all comes down to doing protections where it's basically offenses, defenses can try to hide stuff. But the thing that's the hardest thing to hide is how the offensive line's going to block. That is like not really something you can disguise. And so much of defense now basically comes down to putting six defenders on the on the offensive line. And then the offensive line is like, okay, we're going to have to handle it this way. And the defense is like gotcha. And then three of the guys are going to drop back and they'll have four on three on the other side. And the person working through all that is the center. And so when you have a rookie doing it, you're fucked. And I think Jesse Minter like intrinsically understands this. And the Ravens organization like just understands how you can't actually go on a playoff run with a center that doesn't know what the fuck he's doing. So with that said, whether they can beat the Falcons this week with Tyler Huntly a quarterback, because the Mars probably not going to play, I have no idea. Yeah, this is actually a pretty interesting game because the Falcons are playing really well. It's in Atlanta. The Ravens are playing with a backup quarterback. They're defense hasn't been quite as good as I thought it would be coming into the season. It's not as stout. But so this game feels pretty even honestly. Yeah. And you know whose defense has been decent is Atlantis. Who who pressure rate is through the roof, I think, the win with that defense. They lead the NFL and pressure rate the Falcons, which is remarkable because they've lost what many people would say are two of their better past rushers and defensive players with Walker and Pierce. But my one stop for this game was about Derek Henry. And why this offensive line thing hopefully will help him because since week one when Derek Henry had a great game since then he's 23rd in yards per carry. He's 23rd in yards before contact and he's third in carries that goes zero yards or less. Derek Henry has been incredibly dependent on the touchdown. He leads the NFL and rushing touchdowns. 50% of his fantasy points come from rushing tons of touchdowns this year. And they actually really haven't been able to run the ball all that well since that week one game. That was great. And Atlanta has been really, really good against the rush. They are allowing three yards per carry to backs, which is second in the lead. So this offensive line restructuring not only for like, you know, long term bigger picture stuff, but also to like get Derek Henry moving again.
Yeah, absolutely. It's going to be fascinating to watch panics against this Ravens past rush and kind of like the way that they try and confuse quarterbacks. Panics, as we talked about, is so good at getting rid of the football, not getting sacked. So it's going to be interesting to see how he kind of deals with the Ravens past rush and like the way that the things that they do, the mentor stuff that they do to confuse quarterbacks. The next group of games here, I don't know what to call it, but I kind of just think of it as awesome games and also it's rival week, like teams where there's actually a bit of genuine hatred and hate week, and hate week, yeah, hate week. Hate week, starting with DK, they undefeated 49ers or in Seattle against the Seahawks. This looks like a great game. The 49ers have kind of gone back and re-replaced the Rams as the hated rival. Like maybe look like the favorite in this division again. Well, the Seahawks cocked Kyle Shanahan. They won the Super Bowl in a stadium, Kyle Shanahan was doing the pre-game. That was crazy. Super Bowl desk in their stadium, and the Seahawks came out and dominated it in the Niners Stadium. Who do you hate more right now, DK, the Niners of the Rams? Right now, probably the Rams, but if the 49ers win this game, it might go back to the 49ers. It's tough. It's close. The old were still a little bit. We're like every week, they'd say like is Belichek or Brady better? Maybe every week I should check in with you and ask if the Rams are the Niners. For a long time, the 49ers were by far the most hated rivals of the Seahawks, like during that whole peak era, peak Carol era. The Rams have definitely replaced them though, I think, especially after that offseason they had. Here's my stat for the 49ers, Brock Pretty, has the third highest explosive play rate in the NFL, 18% and he still has not taken a sack. When I think of those numbers together, when I think of explosive plays, usually you don't picture like a guy who's just not taking attacks. When a guy's not taking a sack, you're like, oh, he must be just getting rid of the ball really quickly. It's a zero sum box. Right. Those things don't go together usually where you have a super downfield, explosive passing attack and also you're never taking any sack. Should he 60% from three? You're like, I'm not supposed to work. Totally. It's the Dewey Cox marijuana thing. There's got to be something missing here. It must be real expensive. Cheapest truck there is. So they're just, yeah, they're ripping off big plays. I don't know if it's sustainable because if you look at some of the big plays that the 49ers have made so far, it's probably not sustainable. They had a Debo Samuel, like 80 hard hook and ladder touched down. They had a George Kittle, had a 56 yard catch and run, I think last week and they've had these big plays that kind of feel a little bit not fluke, but you're not going to get those every week. And I think the Seahawks are going to put them to the test tonight because the Seahawks are one of the best teams in the NFL at limiting explosive plays. In fact, they have the lowest explosive play rate allowed right now in the NFL and they have a ton of, they're really good at generating pressure. So this is going to be a really interesting chess match between McDonald and Shanahan. How is McDonald going to get pressure on the 49ers who have done so well at mitigating anything teams do to try and bring pressure? And yeah, this is two of us teams in the NFL. It's supposed to be a sunny, nice, sunny day, so weather shouldn't be a big factor. The Seahawks have won three out of the last four and Brock Pretty has been horrible against the Seahawks in his last two games. The playoff game, then I think it was like week 16 or 17 last year. He's week 18. They lost 13 to three. Week 18, sorry. And he was, he's been awful in those last two games. So we'll see what kind of, you know, adjustments they make. So this is just going to be a really fun game to watch. This will be great. The one that caught my eye, I couldn't, Brock Pretty was the first quarterback. I think to start 4-0 and not take a sack since Peyton Manning in 2004, which is the quintessential Peyton Manning. Crazy. Playing very different kind of quarterback though. Like, Pretty's moving around. He's holding onto the ball. He's like extending plays. Pretty. He has been the MVP through four weeks. I don't think he's even a question. The other two things I just want to say about this is the Seahawks did not actually sign Joe Mixon. That was why they reported. I mentioned. He failed his physical. I don't. I think his career is over. So I just want to mention that because we mentioned on the other day that they were going to do that. The only thing I have to say about this is that the NFL, remember, they find Kyle Yuschek, the 49ers, fold back for the NFL. The NFL rescinded the fine. They took it back. They took it back. He won the appeal. It's ridiculous. What the fuck are we talking about? We got to commercial and there's an ad for Bud Light. What do we mean? We can't protect drinks. When they were doing the press conference to talk about the penalty, it was like 49ers and Bud Light in the back, like the logo is Bud Light. Hi, Fitz, to your Mixon point, the one thing I want to say about the Seahawks, because it's the opposite of the 49ers. I think the 49ers offense has been damn near perfect. Seahawks offense on the other hand, I'm getting kind of worried about because they just can't run the ball right now. They are 28th and rushing success rate, sixth and early down rush rate, so they are rushing a lot on early downs. They're not very successful, and then that is putting them into really, like, unadvantages. What is it? Disadvantages. Disadvantages. Bad situations. Third down. They are 22nd and third down. Disadveraged third down distance, and they are 31st and third down conversion rate so far. Basically, here's my worry. They keep putting themselves into long, third down and third downs, and that is really not what you want. Sam Donnell throwing at. This is the story of all the team struggling right now. The Seahawks are in third and long a lot. The Broncos are in third and long a lot. The charges are in third and long a lot. There's the Eagles are in third and long a lot. That is the common denominator between all the teams that don't know their offensive identity. The next game here rival Reweak. This one's weird. The Raiders are at the Patriots, and it's Tom Brady owning the Raiders, but he's also not there because he's an announcer. I feel like he should be calling this game, right? That's what we all want. 100% should, and the idea that there's some stupid rules in the way that we can't call the game with the team he owns, but you know what? He shouldn't be able to own a team if he's a broadcaster anyway. So who cares? He should just have a clause that's already conflicted. Might as well keep merging it. Who gives a shit? I am interested in the conflict this week. They should let him announce Raiders Patriots. Like, I don't know who's losing out on that. I very much agree. My one stat is about Drake May. I don't want to say I'm pumping the brakes on Drake May, but the more I looked into like last week and what I'm expecting this week, which are a couple things I did not expect, which is that the Raiders have been very good applying pressure this year. Their fourth in pressure rate, and the paths on the other side of the ball, their offensive line has been very bad. They've allowed the third highest pressure rate. And May's been really good this year from a clean pocket. It's where he struggles when he gets, when things get a little messy, he panics and makes stupid decisions. He's been great clean. His accuracy has been much better clean. He seems way more comfortable. And it's when things get messy that it turns around. The Raiders are like fifth and sacks. I'm just worried about the Max Crosby situation for Drake May. And if you look at what the Raiders have done against quarterbacks this year, Herbert 190 yards, two picks. They held my homes to 250 and a 50% completion percentage, Tyler shocked 250 yards. They have been pretty solid. I would say the Raiders defense is one of the more pleasant surprises of the season so far. And so you couple that with the fact that like the fact that we're talking about Matt Collins being hurt as a problem for the Patriots, wide receiving group is not good. Matt Collins might not play in this game, they obviously don't have AJ Brown. So it's like, you have Romeo dobs, you have Efton Chisholm, the guy who made the one-hand of catch, pop Douglas Kyle Williams, it's, it's rough for, for May. Yeah. Remountary Stevenson who's banged up might not play. They've been diving out on like they've had big plays in big moments, which is, I don't know if it always lasts, but it's always fun when a defense is doing that. They have this, like rookie, has a Kaya masses has been awesome in the secondary for them, but I, again, I would like to be skeptical of the Raiders defensive performance, but the Patriots are a perfect team to play if you're looking to dine out a big plays because Crosby on Wilk Campbell or, you know, whatever the Raiders are going to do, like Drake May, like, yeah, it's, I wouldn't be shocked at all if the Raiders get three turnovers in this game. Yeah, I mean, you know, you know, it's, this is, you guys believe in the West Coast team coming east to play in the early game as I think it used to be more true. I think that so I still think it matters. I think matters a little. From like, I was just like a, like a jet lag time zone, tired thing, fatigue. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think the team's not normally used to playing at that time kind of deal. Analytics gets pigeonholed a lot into like fourth down stuff and all this stuff. And obviously like, oh, like the math says they should go to Australia at this time. But what teams have learned about like biometrics and player data and like actually tracking things, like sleep teams weren't really looking at sleep 15 years ago in the NFL. But like basketball has studied it for a long time and like where these guys should road trips and everything. Teams know a lot about it. I think teams know a lot more about this stuff than they did in like 2005 and the playing game. You still got to get the guys to do it though. Like, you could tell George Pickens all you want. Hey, buddy, go to bed at a 30. Then we'll have you up at five and he'd be like, nah. Yeah, you got to get all these guys to follow that strict regimen. It's mostly just, yeah, you're hurting cats. That's really just like it's less about the time travel at the time zone. But you're rich. 25 year old dude. Like, he's off at nine. They're like, okay, going anywhere. Sure, man. Yeah. A hundred people. Terrible. Worth noting the Raiders beat the Patriots last week or last year and week one, yeah. Which was kind of like a totally, Pete Carol's last year. Yeah, what happened the rest of the year was completely opposite, but it is worth remembering. We should get in Brady's contract that he has to do Raiders Patriots games. That would be better. I think you should have to do every Raiders game. That would be fun. The next one here, again, hate week, baby. The Chicago Bears are at the Green Bay Packers. Love it. So my one fact in this one is the Bears had exactly the same number of rushing yards. week as the Green Bay Packers do on the Internet.
tired season. Yeah. The Packers are the worst rushing team in the NFL, right? And the bears are the worst rushing team. I like the best 10 years. Yeah. The Packers and the Packers rushing is they don't have a rushing touchdown. The Packers, I mean, they don't have a running back with 85 rushing yards. They can't do anything. I don't know. I can sick one block. I don't know. The Packers run defense is also bad, though. They're the worst rushing offense, but the Packers are also the second worst rushing defense. And the Bears are by far the best rushing offense. Again, the Bears have like the fourth most or sorry, the Bears have four games of 250 rushing yards since Ben Johnson took over, which is the same as the rest of the NFL combined. So I just think this is the cheese greater thing. Man, to kill Bears fan here, to kill working on the show has the cheese greater hat. I'm like, that's going to be this whole game. It's just the grinding that Packers down to dust. And it's better because these teams actually fucking ate each other, which makes me happier. Do you guys think that the cheese greater is the only antagonistic piece of sports, like memorabilia or like fandom signage that you can bring to a game? Like, is there anything else really other than the cheese greater? It's a good question. E-mail us at ringer
@gmail.com. There's been a lot of them. Like, it's specific to one team, you know what I mean? The thing I, the only comp I can think of immediately is it's almost like horns down against taxes, which I actually think the softest thing that's happened in college football was Texas getting that band like it was hate speech or something. I could just flip their logo upside down. But I, I don't know. Is there anything else? Oh, sure, there's a lot. I'm sure there's a lot. Let us know, because yeah, I'm trying to remember specific what it like in Buffalo. You bring a table that's not broken. Like, I don't know what what you would do. And the cheese greater is just perfect. It's so good. It is, it is actually perfect. I think it's again, but it's because this is so great that the bears are good again. And Ben Johnson, I feel like there's this whole thing now that people, like at least older athletes are like, the players are too friendly, the coaches are too friendly, there's no rivalries anymore. Ben Johnson hates Matt Lufler, like on a personal level. You know, he had to at every point his first interview as the bears had coach. He mentioned that he all he, well, he just wants to beat Matt Laflore. He said at his opening press conference. I have it here. He said, and quote, he said, quote, and to quite frank with you, Pat Laflore due to him. I don't know what did he do? He's bullying him like a long time ago or something. I don't know. I, I do think maybe Ben Johnson at a bully look like Matt Laflore. Hey, opening press conference, Ben Johnson said, quote, quite frank with you. As lines offensive coordinator, I kind of enjoyed beating Matt Laflore twice a year. And then the bears beat them last year. And remember, Ben Johnson comes in the locker room and says, and he just kind of like you can see him debating it. And he's like, fuck the backers, fuck them. And like the guys went crazy. Ben Johnson's so good for the NFL, man. Yeah, I love this. He's got he's one of the only, he might be the most aggressive NFL coach in the league. Cause like, you think it's like something like Dan Campbell, but Dan Campbell's is a little bit, it's like happy, anger, happy aggression. It's like motivating aggression. Ben Johnson is like fucking angry. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It is like Michael Jordan. Think you're right. Like Ben Johnson definitely is like the Utah waiter coming up to Jordan. Like, thank you, sir. You're the greatest of all time. Michael Jordan's like, I took that person. Yeah. They're like, hey, Matt Laflore said the weather's worse than Chicago than Green Bay. He's like, did he? Did he? Fuck that guy. We'll see. I, I rewatched not, I wanted to watch the packer's bear's endings. Because again, like, I mean, the last two times these teams played first of all, bears came back down from down 10 with five minutes left. And then one and over time. Yeah. Then the bears were down 21, three and a half in the playoffs, 21, six in the fourth quarter. And the packers blew the lead. And I, aside from the comeback, and I'll bad that was for Green Bay. I forgot that the handshake after the game, Matt Laflore's at midfield has just blown a playoff loss to the bears. And he's like standing still hand extended. And Ben Johnson just doesn't break stride runs right by him. Kind of slaps his hand. Keeps going after he said, I like getting Matt Laflore twice a year. I would hate each other. We need a social account that all they do is it's just a montage of every coach interaction after a game. I would love that. If you could just pick a coach and you'd be like, every Ben Johnson post game handshake in one minute, I would love that. But he'd eat it up. It's pretty good. Ben Johnson's got, he's got a little entertainer in him. You know, he's almost like a wrestling heel. He knows what he's doing. Yeah. He also, he's like, win the crowd, you know, the gladiator thing, win the crowd. Yeah. That's kind of what he's doing. I feel like this isn't nice little stretchers. I mean, it's been fun to watch Ben Johnson flex with these backup quarterbacks with Keenam and Baygent. But like, you know, we all thought the Eagles are really good. Maybe not so much. Having the Eagles, then the Jets, then the struggling packers team. And then the next week, they play the Falcons. And then after that, it's Pat Seahawks. And you'll probably have Caleb back by then. It's a nice time. They got kind of lucky with the scheduling a little bit with these backup quarterbacks. Yeah. The packers are lucky to be two and two. They should have lost the Jets. And they got to play an undrafted for Asian with Tampa Bay. So I mean, if the packers win this game, that'd be huge for them. I think they're three and two. And the packers look terrible. That would be huge. So I don't know. I just, I think the pair's, I know the spread's only two and a half in this game. But I guess that's a backup quarterback thing. Yeah, it's a Baygent. It's weird. Next game here, the, this is Monday to football. The Buffalo Bills are at the Los Angeles Rams. Oh, yeah. In LA. Yeah. Not to get two in the weeds with this one, but my one stat is about special teams. The Rams, rank in special teams last year was 26. It was like the thorn in their side. It was their Achilles heel. They like blew so many games because of their special teams or made it like really close because they're special teams. I know they lost to the Seahawks because of their special teams flubs. And this year, they're 32. They're dead last. They made all these changes in the off season. They fired their special teams coordinator hired a new guy. They changed Blackburn Super Bowl hero. I'll have you know. Yeah. And then they hired Bubba Ventrone. They signed a couple of specialists in the off season trying like fix this thing. And it's only just been bad. This has been worse actually than it was last year so far. Basically, Bubba Ventrone. Did I say that wrong? No, no, that's just like a crazy name. Bubba Ventrone. Bubba. That guy's in the sopranos or something. Yeah, but he's from Pittsburgh. Maybe he's the next dealer's guy. Oh, how? So they fall on special teams so far. They've not only have they missed some field goals, but they basically do not trust Harrison Mewis to try and kick a field goal past 50 yards. So they, I guess that's actually maybe a good thing because it makes it more aggressive going into the opposing teams side of the field. They've been bad at punting. They've been bad at coverage and they've been bad at returning. They actually have. I think I want to say it was like bottom five in terms of starting field position in the NFL this year. So their special teams have been really bad again. And again, this is a two very good teams, high octane offenses, two teams, good defenses. And I'm just like looking at this game thinking special teams is going to be a big, big factor in it. The bills, by the way, are good at special teams. There's seventh and DVOA this year in special teams. I think if I could hand pick the Super Bowl for 2026 this current season, I would pick this game. I think this is what I want the Super Bowl to do. This is a sexy game. Yeah. I would not do that, Craig, because it's previously iterated hatred towards the Rams, but yes, I do think this would be a fun matchup. I mean, the reason the Rams didn't win the Super Bowl last year is they fought, I mean, they fumbled a punt, right? In the championship game. Yeah, they did that. And they also allowed, like, I'm conflating the two games, but they also gave up a Rashid Shaheed had a punt return touchdown that allowed those like in those. Yes, the first in the regular season game. I would argue that that that is. Yeah. That is the turning point of, like, even in full season. Yeah. That's right. There's nothing in that. Yeah. Yeah. And then that ended up leading to the sharp and a two point with the ball pickup. Like the Rashid Shaheed, like, that was the, honestly, the pendulum of the entire season. Absolutely. On that sheet. So, yeah. See, Hux maybe don't win the Super Bowl if he doesn't return that. So yeah, it is, it's, it's a big deal for the Rams. It's basically one of the biggest thorns on their side the last two seasons. I know they're trying really hard to get it fixed. And it's just not going well. I feel like people like to complain about prime time games when they're bad. This isn't an unbelievable money that football game. Yeah. This was payback for three straight Falcons weeks, although the Falcons kind of look good now. So maybe it's different. Talk about getting luck. Yeah. That was, that was incredible. Maybe we should start ranking players according to how the NFL schedules prime time matchups. Like we're like, what did the NFL know the Falcons get three in a row? Maybe the Falcons are good. Yeah. Something there. Steelers don't get any prime. It's like, who's, which bad team is getting a lot of prime time? Maybe that means something. So you just want to, you just want to go with the giants every year when they just sort of littered in September. Giants looks good to start the year. Script writers. I've always felt that like, the thing that could make me feel stupid is to the entire world. As if it turned out, the NFL scripted like WWE and none of us figured it out the whole time. It would be quite the secret to key. You know what? Ignorance is bliss. Yeah. Sorry to not talk about Josh Allen or Matt Stafford during the bills, bills Rams discussion because I understand those are two great players, but yeah, especially teams. I would, I think you start, you start them in fantasy this week. I think so. The kickers? No, Josh Allen and Matt Stafford. I think Matthew Stafford. I think you should start them. I'm glad you said Matthews. You don't offend him. Yeah. All right, week five coming up. Make this your most rewarding season on Fandall and in the spirit of giving we're going to give our favorite touchdown score of the weekend. TK, who should pick? I'm going with Michael Wilson, Cardinals going up against the Lions defense, which can't stop anybody right now. Also, Michael
and has absolutely taken over as the Alpha receiver in that offense. He has like a 30% target rate over the last couple of weeks. Just really like him, think of a good player. I think they're going to look for him in the end zone. That's a good one, Craig. I'm going with Mike Gassicki to tie it in on the Bengals. Plus 240 to score touchdown against the dolphins. Jamar Chase, Tehiggins, both banged up. Both might not play. One might play. Even if it's just one plays, I'd be comfortable going with Gassicki. He says he's already got three touchdowns this year. Gassico mode is my pick. I want to, I wish we could bet on whether he's going to do the gritty. In this game. That would be cool if you could bet on touchdown celebrations. That should be in there. That is also good one. So I want to go with Deandre Swift to score two touchdowns. It's like six to one and Deandre Swift to score three touchdowns. It's like 60 to one. And again, the Bears are the best rushing team in the NFL. The Packers defense cannot stop the run. And I feel like Ben Johnson hates the Packers. So once they prove a point. And Kyle Monangay is turf toe. I think Deandre Swift our three touchdowns is totally possible. He did it week one. So he did it week one. So 60 to one. I'm like, that doesn't make sense to me. So I like that. What I'm kind of wondering. I like that. I'm kind of wondering what all three of these parlayed together would be. So it'd be Gassicki with Deandre Swift to score two. And then what was yours DK? Michael Wilson touchdown. Let's see here. Against the Lions, that feels pretty good. That's not bad, DK. I like what you're at. Like your head's going. Okay. So shall you Swift for one touchdown or two? Two. Two. If all three of those hit, it would be plus 16912. So a dollar would win $170. So $170. Whoa. Love it. Okay. All right, Mike Gassicki. Mike Wilson, two touchdowns for Deandre Swift. Book it. Boom. Check out our bet in the Fandal app. And remember, the Fandal is helping make this your most rewarding season ever. The next bucket of games here, I see it just bad vibes or desperation. Teams doing desperate shit and just incredibly bad vibes games. The starting with the New York Giants are at the Washington commanders. Bad vibes. I thought the vibes were great with the Giants. Well, the Giants vibes are great. First place in the NFC East DK. Okay, what's so funny about that? Nothing. The Washington vibes. 23 players in the entry report this week. That's, that's a lot. I thought that would get more of a reaction. 23 players in the injury report. It's fucking week four, week five, whatever. Right. Like that's half. There are 46 players in the active roster. Half of them are in the injury report. I just, I don't know. I thought that was significant. It just sucks that injuries are like the biggest thing that swings seasons. It's not, it's not how great players are. It's like how fucking injured are these teams? It really is. But the, but the real one that matters is that fantasy football to be honest. True. But the real one that matters is Jaden Daniels is going to come back for Washington this week. Almost definitely. He practiced in full this week. He probably could have played last week. And honestly, they're desperate. They need him. Washington's one and three. A win this week. And they're one game behind the Giants. A loss is their one and four. And their three games out of the first place. That season kind of looks over. And so Jaden Daniels is going to play. He's got this brace on his elbow. He dislocated the elbow of his non throwing arm. And they're basically saying, fuck the arm. And they're putting this brace on. And it's not throwing with that arm. It's just like one like a like as a kid. You know, like sometimes parents would just like tie one arm to the kid's sides to teach him to throw a left hand or something. When you watch Jaden in practice with this big bionic elbow, it really looks like he can't move it. And he basically just one arming it. It's very odd. It's big. I can't tell if it's more or less loose than I thought it would be. But he can extend his arm all the way. I kind of think this is a bad idea. Well, it's really reinforcing it a little bit. I don't know. Because on one hand, he's going to have to learn to play. The truth is I think he does need to try to play without this thing. If it dislocates again, I'm like, yeah, whatever. It is his other arm. He'll get surgery. But so all these reporters kept asking about it. Nikki Javall, the athletic, kind of funny exchange, where she was like, does the brace change? And he cuts her off. He's like, no, she's like, does the brace change? And he's like, no, does it make any difference? No. All right. See that's why he's playing, I guess. Everything going through that was just like that. He's like, well, it's part of my body now. So it is what it is. And then he they were like, are you going to like be more discerning running? Like are you going to dive for the pylon with the game on the line? Knowing your elbow, it can't even extend fully. He's like, what quarter is it? Yeah. And I think that is kind of what it comes down to. He's like, I've been asking since he was at LSU. Can Jayden Daniels be more discerning with when he risks his body? And everything. And I'm like, all right, well, now that you can't even use your off-hand and extend it all the way to get like a defensive end off. He like, he kind of doesn't have a choice. I just want to see him fall. How what is it going to happen when you have you can't extend your other arm all the way out to fall? I don't really understand. But this scares me. Are you nervous about this game? The giants have never beaten Jayden Daniels. He's three and no. He's three touchdowns. He's never thrown a pick against them. I don't know. It's I mean, it's a big game. Like, you know, we almost got Marcus Marrowtovers, James Winston-Roseball reunion. But yeah, I mean, the giants. I mean, especially if the Eagles are capitulating on the season here. Kind of what I'm saying. I know it's pathetic. As a Giants fan to be clinging to the season. And you guys probably laugh when I said the absolute best case possible scenario for the Giants is that they somehow like win the division and fall into the playoffs. But it is possible if they just kind of keep racking up wins. And I mean, form one start doesn't hurt. And they could just, you know, every year. It's like that terrible team that makes the playoffs. It's like the Giants could be that mistake. Yeah, totally. Like, they could be that horrible team that nobody wants to the wild card round. Yeah. And so I don't, it just Washington's defense blitzes a lot. And so I think this is just a classic James game. Really more so than Jane Daniels. Is James will have two great touchdowns. So probably have two terrible picks. Probably have two fumbles. We'll see who recovers the fumbles. And honestly, Jane Daniels, if he doesn't turn the ball over, Washington will probably win. Because James is definitely going to turn the ball over. Yeah, we should. I want to throw out. So Stefan Diggs and Terry McLaren did not practice on Thursday. The day we're recording. A guy, a rookie DK and I have been talking up a bunch this season in Antonio Williams. I think it's worthy, especially with these giant corners of like a like a flex dart throw this week, I think. I think it's great if you're desperate. I would pick them up. I don't know. I don't know if I would play. If there's no McLaren and no digs. Oh, well, if they're both out, then yes, you're right. They haven't been practicing. I mean, even honestly, even if one of those guys is out, what we saw last week was McLaren was out. And it was digs and Antonio Williams were the two guys that played the most. And Antonio Williams did. He had a touchdown that got, he was like, a 60 year touchdown. He's really good. That got called back because of, I think it was a legal shift or something. He had eight targets. He had 64 yards in a touchdown in week one. I think I think if digs and McLaren are out, I think you could totally start him as a flex. Yeah, and someone's going to score a touchdown on Deontay Banks. Terry McLoren digs, Deontay Banks. I know he's feeling himself now to end the game. But Terry McLoren has just barbecued Deontay Banks at every point. They hate each other and like Deontay, I do not have any faith that Deontay Banks will continue playing well in Washington for whatever reason. They just have Deontay Banks' number. So Terry is, I know he's going to miss the game probably, but he will tell them how to beat Deontay Banks. So, not to say, the other neighbors also has a sore knee and they were like, how's the soreness? You said different from my usual soreness. And if you're worried-- That guy needs a month break. That guy just needs to take a treat, yeah. Yeah, so that's annoying. And then also, sorry, I know it's just giants. But our values for sunny styles, the Ohio State linebacker often, I think the two best rookie defenders in the league. So I love them anyway. No one else cares. Keeping up with the rivalry week thing or just general desperation. The Denver Broncos are at the Los Angeles Chargers, which is probably the most desperate bad vibes game of the year. My one stat is that Davis Webb lasted four games before Sean Payton re-assumed play calling duties. So let's go through the timeline. Thursday, October 8th, we woke up this morning and it was announced. Sean Payton will take over his play collar. Then an hour or two goes by and it's like, well, actually, according to Shepter, and I quote, "The Broncos are taking a more collaborative play calling approach this week with Sean Payton having an increased role in the process and Davis Webb continuing with a significant game planning and game day role. And then two hours go by and Shepter just tweeted, Sean Payton's calling plays, actually." They had all this passive voice, just word salad to say, basically, Sean Payton is calling. The first one, Sean Payton texting them. And then the second one is the Broncos trying to damage goal. And the third one, Sean Payton, be like, no, I'm calling plays. I don't. Payton went open in his press conference and said, "I'm calling plays." This is like when your dad is watching you put together your school project and after 10 minutes, he's like, let me just do it. [laughs] A hundred percent. I can't fucking pay for my shave everywhere. Settling about with the stamp thing. Just give me it. Oh my God, he made scissors. There's so many. No, not like that. You hold the blade, you don't hand it. I have to remind myself of that so much when just having Calvin do anything because parents will understand this. It just takes so long. Like put on your jacket. It takes like five minutes for them to fucking put on a jacket. Just, you know, they're just so scatterbrained. Haven't you done this before? [laughs] And it takes all of your self control to just be like, just come here and give me that and put it on. I mean, look, as much as we want to joke about Sean Payton, I think if you're a Broncos fan, you should be happy about this. I mean, the Broncos offense is 27th and scoring. They're 27th and yards. They're 29th and rushing. They're 20th and passing. Like, I would want Sean Payton in calling plays again. If I had Jalen Waddle, which I don't because I traded him away, he'll probably be better now under Sean Payton. So I think, although this is like kind of messy and funny, I think if I were a Broncos fan, I'd be happy about this. Mike.
Quasi-informed conspiracy theory is that I think what happened here is that Sean Payton and Bill Nick sent a serious rupture after that Raiders game last year on Thursday football where the Broncos couldn't move the ball at all. And there's a lot of issues about general stuff, but even just Sean Payton, even just getting plays in on time, you know what I mean, just being older than he was and plays all being long. Yeah. Kind of a Rodgers McCarthy situation. Yes. So then they go the cost season. No, we don't care about that. Well, Davis Webb wants to take other coordinators, jobs, or coaches, and I think Bonix and them. And maybe some people maybe went to ownership and we're like, ah, like, it was a court mandated moratorium on play calling until perhaps unless things don't go well and then you can have it back. And I think Sean Payton, I feel like he's not upset that the Broncos ended up in a spot where they really needed him. I would you put it past Sean Payton to have been subterfusing and tanking the offense so that he could reassume play calling saving all his best plays. Yeah. I think I made some lights for him here on fourth and eight. Light treason. He's like, I think Bonix should be checking down more. This is scary. I really like. He's like in his ear. Check down. This is like House of Cards, ask. I do think, I, God, there's this line of game of thrones with Tywin Lanister is like, it's not a plan. It's a plot. I love, I still can't get over help. It just made me laugh so hard last week after the game when a reporter asked him if he was planning on taking over play calling duties, he was like, it's too early. Good question. Fair question. Fair, fair question. I like that. And I appreciate it. You know what? Brownie points for you. What you need? I'm going to give you a scoop next week. Yep. Good job. Thank you. And he's great question. You're great journalists. Yeah. It's great. Peyton is like notorious for having his, you know, little, he works the media. Do you remember what we were called when we were going to combine and one guy kept asking the same question and he was like, I'm going to ignore you for the rest of this press conference. And literally the guy would be talking to him and he just would not look at him, would not listen and pick on somebody else. It is funny. Coach, you actually really do kind of have to like work the media. Oh, it's yeah. There's a reason that no one knows Mike McCarthy's resume is similar to Sean Payton's. I will say, Craig, this is a lot like the Bob Eiger, Bob J. Pick thing with Disney. Maybe Davis, well, we'll have a book tour in a few years being like, I mean, that's a me. That's the rumor, right? Bob Eiger knew the pandemic was coming. New things were getting messy. Took time off. Let's shape that come in. He tanked Disney and now Bob Eiger comes back and saves it. So there also kind of convenient. It's the Owen Forch disaster chargers this week. We'll probably look good all working out. I can't stress enough. We don't have to do any more chargers because every week all we do is just talk about how bad the chargers are. But think about how bad it's been for the first four weeks. And that was when they had to all pro tackles. And now they're gone and the best part of their schedule. That was the easy part was the Raiders and Cardinals who had three wins last year. Now they have to play all the teams who could win the Super Bowl. Scary. Spooky. The next bad vibes ball desperation move is the Houston Texans or tennis Titans who are both Owen Forch. I can't believe the Texans are Owen Forch. Neither can they. Here's my stat. I'm going to keep it real simple. Last year the Texans allowed 17 points per game, which was second in the NFL. This year they're giving up 27 points per game, which is 26th in the NFL. Giving up 10 more points per game is not good. Same exact roster. Pretty much. More or less. It's like they have guys like Will Anderson is playing out of his mind right now. It's not like they're thinking he's the best defensive player in the entire league. And so anyways, it should not be a big surprise based on that stat that Domingo Ryan's is taking back play calling this week. That is like the big news story here. You know, do you guys think like this will make a big difference or is it just going to be kind of probably coincidence that they start playing better now because Domingo starts calling plays? I don't know. I don't know how I feel about it. You know, I don't think consciously Domingo Ryan's is like, you can. You can call plays against Joe Burrow and Dak Prescott and Josh Allen, but when Cam Ward comes to. I'm going to think Cam Ward. I don't think that's actually what's going on. But it will work out very conveniently that Domingo Ryan's will fix it all. Yeah. I don't I don't think he's as craved as Sean Payton. I think it's just their own four. And at least Owen for someone to make the playoffs once one time. Ironically, it was the Chargers in 1992 and no one ever made the playoffs. Oh, and five. And it's just like I think it's a lot of secondary stuff for Houston. Deontie Lee wrote a story about it at the ringer this week, but I do think it comes down to a few things. But ultimately, they just it's contested catches the Texans have allowed the most contested catch yards in the NFL and more than like did in September the last two years combined. And there's also been some miscommunications and read blank and ship has just kind of been a day late and a dollar short for the entire season. It used replacing C.J. Gardner Johnson, who just can't be in one place for at a time because everyone fucking hates him. I can't even be normal. No, it's literally like a why can't you be normal and like no one can have that man for more than 18 months. So they get rid of him. So read blank and ship's been fine and then but I do think it comes down to fit. You can just picture the plays in your head. It's Joe Burrow having that insane catch that Jamar chase that will be one of the five best catches of the year. It's Dak Prescott shredding them with CD Lamb. It's Josh Allen. Like, these are the best the quarterbacks that got dropped, followed up directly by the touchdown. Yes. Yes. And I'm like, I kind of just think the Texans defense will go back to being elite like this week. Yes. They get amazing quarterbacks and then got on small margins for big plays. To be honest, like, yeah, I would definitely by low on Houston. I mean, look, if they catch that interception on Josh Allen, they beat the bills in week one. Then they didn't have Nico Collins and they lost to the Bengals. They lost to the Colts by two without Nico Collins. And then Nico Collins comes back and they lose a nail-biter to a decent team in Dallas. Like this team might, this is not that bad. If you actually go through and look at what they've done with Nico and without and who they've played. And I want to shout out Sean Sayed who had that stat about the cadets catch thing. But I totally, it's funny though, you look at the sleeper app and you know, it's amazing with the green and red continue to your brain. You see the opposing defense they're playing. It's like Minnesota. Number one. Really scary. It's red. Ooh. And then green is good. I'm looking at one of these shop leagues of men and it's like, I have Wanda Robinson and it says versus Houston, green 32. That's wild. Like that is so shocking to see the Texans defense is the 30 second best defense against receivers. And I'm like, yeah, it's probably just the Jamar chase CD-Lam, Josh Allen, Burrow Tha. Like, yeah, I think, I think the Texans will be fine. I want them to bring her one of seven to seven and a half. I'm like, the Titans are not going to get 60 points in this game. I agree. I think it's, um, the Texans are a good example of just big picture while, how, why it's so hard to win consistently in the NFL and when teams do it, it's astonishing. Because, I mean, the Texans last year had an awesome defense. It was just one of the most shut down defenses, kept them in every single game and all they needed was their quarterback to not like, just turn the ball over four times a game. And CJ Schrad was a massive Achilles heel for them and basically kept them from achieving what they absolutely could have achieved. And this year, Schrad looks sharp. Like, I think he's actually played a lot better. Um, and he's making some big time throws and you go Collins, especially when he's out there is making big plays. And now the D. Pick this season. Yeah. And now the defense just can't do their job. I mean, it is, I think it totally agree with you that has been a, like a couple of big plays that have sort of sunk them, but still it's just so hard to fall for you. They're two and two. Yeah. And Kenny Atkinson says that they're actually winning the division analytically speaking. Yeah. Uh, I will say the one thing, just thinking about Demica Rines calling plays, just worth mentioning is they're playing the Titans, Robert Salas. The reason Demica Rines is like a coach in the NFL, like he, Demica Rines worked under a solid for four years, do you guys ever feel like if you were ever doing a sport basketball, let it tenet, whatever, and maybe you're a baseball, and then you're like, Hey, dad, look at this one. And then you just fuck up. Suddenly, like, I do think I wonder if there's an element of Demica, like just wants to beat Salas so bad that maybe he gets a little weird, but yeah, I don't know me, it's just worth it. It's his mentor. Uh, the next two just horrific vibes games are the Cleveland Browns are at the New York Jets, which, and the Browns are three and one. The Jets are one of three. My one stat for this game is, I, we have, I know we talked about it at Sunday, have to reiterate, the Jets ran the fewest plays on offense last week in the history of the New York Jets. They get, they just didn't get to play football. That's great. Put it, I think. 32 plays. The Bears had more first downs than the Jets had plays, which has only happened. I think the Chiefs did that to the rating. They basically like warmed up and then the game was over. Bush, Bush saying he was bored. It's just so funny that he said it was boring, boring, it was boring. We always talk about like bulletin board material. It's funny to get it from the team that played you last week. The Jets actually have to come out and respond to that, like leaded eight passes in that game. The combination. I think she'll had this like 18 neither through 16 passes nor gained 60 rushing yards, which is like fucking impossible. But dude, when the opposing, also Devon Bush, not a nobody, he got the game ball from Ben Johnson. He's not like a backup. He got the game ball for the game and he's like, I was bored. I don't, I think the Jets, how you respond is essential to like something that bad because Aaron Glenn at this point, the new coach is this year could tire it, might have as many wins as Aaron Glenn has total. Like he only has four wins with the Jets. So if you lose now to Cleveland off that and you respond, well, it's a big deal. It sucks because I thought the Jets were looking kind of good at the beginning of the year. Now that he kind of look at the schedule, they could like maybe be three and one right now. analytically. analytically.
one, I will just say this, the offense didn't play. You know what played football? The defense, the 89 plays, the Jets played so much football that Aaron Glenn had to do a walkthrough for the team on Wednesday instead of a real practice because the defense was too sore. They played a game in a half, yeah. Yes. So they didn't even get to do a practice on Wednesday, which is how fucking dominant the bears were over them. Do you guys, this is like the biggest day away game of the week for me, where I'm like, yeah, Browns, I don't know if I'm even close to wanting to actually believe it to Sean Watson and the Browns are good. The Jets, we've seen glimpses. I have no faith in what they're doing either. Like, this is an absolute stay away from me. Yeah. Yeah. To Sean Watson, it's like the bar was just so low that the bar is like in the basement. And so they're just not turning the ball over with like really weird funny fumbles or whatever. Just makes it look like competent, but he's not doing anything particularly excellent. So anyway, the other bad vibes game, bangles right at the dolphins. Not such bad vibes. It's just all the cool players are hurt to Von H. Ins out for the season with the torn ACL. Jamar Chase is a concussion. We'll see if the Higgins plays. Chase was he's he has a chance to play. It looks like based on he was at at least in pads with a helmet today at practice. So we'll see, but he's very likely going to miss the game. And Higgins did not practice on Thursday. My one step for this game is this is from ABC News. Since 2002, there have only been three NFL teams that failed to score more than 13 points. In any of their first four games. It is the dolphins this season, the dolphins in 2019, and the dolphins. Carlos Carlos text of that to us just just a miserable experience being a dolphins fan lately. It's very tough. They're not oh and 17 bad, but they are bad. Let me ask you a question. You think of the dolphins have the first pick in the draft that they based on, you know, what do we six games into the college football season, whatever we are? Based on kind of, I would say the quarterback class being good, not great. No one's like truly like the obvious 101 right now, but the one guy who seems like can't miss is the receiver on our house. Hey, Jeremiah Smith. Did there's any chance the dolphins are like, fuck it. We'll just take Jeremiah Smith instead of a quarterback. No, you have to treat back. I don't know. Because Jeremiah Smith, even if he's you're like, he's incredible. And I do think Jeremiah Smith's just kind of like Julio Jones all over again. If you can get three first run picks to trade back and still get a quarterback and then two more first run picks, it'd be very, it'd be very Packers coded to because the Packers went forever without drafting a first round receiver. Remember during the Aaron Ross era? Yeah, there's just something. No, it's basically the Packers brain trust is in Miami. My friend and I were talking about this and I was in the camp of like, you can't take them if you don't have your quarterback. And it's just like not right for where this team is. And he was like, he thought you can't pass them up. This guy's like Calvin Johnson again. I was like, yeah, but look at the team who took Calvin Johnson. Look what happened. Literally what I was going to say. But then he was like, well, they got Matt Stafford and Matt Stafford was good. And I was like, yeah, it still didn't work. Exactly. That's why you have to get more picks. This is so I, yeah, I don't know. Also, it's funny because Archmaning, like you probably want to do it, even if we'll see a arch really shakes out. The irony is that the Jets get the first pick. I'm like, I don't think Arch would even come out. Arch is probably going back to school. You know, one three games. But the only other important thing about this game. And obviously, Jamar Chase plays, play him. But if Jamar Chase is out, you have to play T Higgins. T Higgins still. T Higgins. And I think if Jamar Chase and T Higgins are out, I think you have to play Gisicke. I would find a way to get Gisicke into your Flex spot or your tight end spot, whatever. But if you added Gisicke and you have George Kittle and play both, like if T Higgins is also out in this game, Gisicke is a serious chance for the best game of his life. I'm not guaranteeing it, but it's certainly like he's going to get a lot of targets. So don't take Myers to maybe. Yeah, the other important thing about Bengals Dolphins is the announcer for Bengals Dolphins for second-ever game announcing a football game is Eric Collins. No, really, Gisicke, who is last seen doing the McDonald's. Oh my God, that's actually pretty good, I was. Well, we can't. I don't even play the Clips anymore. So I realized I have. Oh, damn. Oh, we can play the horn. It's Clips, though, couldn't we? Can we? I don't know. You told me. We don't have it all right now. Gisicke. Dude, he's the Maryland game. He's like, I've lowered my volume for the last 30 seconds because it's quite a lot more. I'm sorry. No, no, no. If you guys don't know what we're talking about, I save this without any hyperbole. Eric Collins is the most entertaining announcer of all time. He can make he's literally first. He can make the third quarter of a blowout game the most scintillating, exciting edge of your seed experience. You can imagine. Please, what is the YouTube video we need to send them to Craig is the Eric Collins. Just Google like Eric Collins highlights. You'll find it. Look at Eric Collins. Eric Collins highlights. I love that there's an announcer highlights. He's the guts of a cat, Mark Ler. He's insane. The guts of that. It's like wrong with them. Yeah, complimentary. If Eric, if you're if anyone's right, Eric Collins, Eric, you have a standing invite out at the spot. Yeah, we love you. I would do anything to get Eric on the show. God, I can't wait to put the volume for that game. Oh, my God. Fraud watch. Vikings are at the Saints. This is a funny game. Yeah. One of these teams should, one team is foreign. The other team is one and three. Both of them should be two and two. Right. Well said. This is this is a game of the stoppable force versus the movable object. So the Vikings are second to last and offensive deviate way and the Saints are second to last and defensive defensive deviate way. So this has to be the game that the Vikings offense starts to work, right? I don't actually know the answer. That was like the real life theme of the wait, that means like the Anakin thing is like, wait, this is Kyler's going to play well, right? Right. Right. I mean, I think a big piece of it is like if Justin Jefferson comes back, which he's aiming to play on Sunday. We did you guys see that Justin Jefferson's predictions are a lot like my Super Bowl predictions. He said, the plan is to definitely play Sunday, but who knows? It's always very fun. I feel very confident, but who knows? The plan is to make $100 million, but who knows? Justin Jefferson just hates questions. He's like, why are you asking about this? Like a lot of stuff asking me questions. I'll let you know on Sunday in the first quarter. Yeah. So the Cowboys have been the only team that's worse on defense than the Saints this year to be clear. And the Cowboys have been horrific. So yes, I'm really just looking for how Kyler does in this game. If he struggles, does the team start to think about going to Wentz? I don't honestly don't know what they'll do if Kyler again is really bad. And you know, from our point of view, Kyler's been very bad in fantasy. He has just six scrambles on the year and one designed run. He's averaging fewer, rushing fantasy points for games than CJ Stroud, who doesn't run. So yeah, it's been really tough. It's weird because I don't know if he can't run anymore or if he just got concussed on like the eleventh value of the season and then it's changed how he plays. Maybe. And so maybe he will start running more. Maybe he's just like, yeah, I don't know. He like he got concussed doing that. And so how do you guys feel about Vikings players in this game? Guys like you would play Justin Jefferson if he's if he's healthy. But it guy like Jordan Addison, who's banged up, up return to practice, TJ Hawkinson, who had 13 catches last week to tie that. Would you play either of those two guys against the Saints? Addison is immensely frustrating. And it depends on it's lane, but it depends on your options. I think Jordan Addison actually is a better connection with Kyler almost than Jefferson. Not that Jefferson will be better, but Kyler just chucks it up to him. Yes. And Addison is like actually a really underrated contested catch guy, but Addison is such a frustrating player. I feel like he's so touched on dependent, so big play dependent. He doesn't feel reliable, but I wouldn't say you can't play Jordan Addison. He's just annoying. Hawkinson, I wouldn't chase what he did against Miami. I'd rather say like he's sick against Miami this week than Hawkinson instead of versus the Saints, but I think you can feel fine about starting him. He is kind of a borderline tight end starter this week, but I think you could feel okay, starting Hawkinson as like in a pinch or whatever. The on the other side of the ball, I wanted to talk to you guys about this. I don't know if you caught it in the in the last Saints game. Did you hear Aikman talking about Tyler Schuck and how he was in college for seven years. He was like, he was in college for seven years. He played for seven. I don't even know how you can do that. I didn't know that was legal. I don't know what's going on in college for fall. I just think it's so Aikman is just in his fucking air. I just doesn't really care what he says, and it's great. Of all the old man things to be old man about, I'm like, he's right. That is crazy. Yeah, a lot of people go to college for seven years. They're called doctors. I just think it was really funny. How we feel about it? For energy of like, it's like that commercial talk about DK where it's like people, people choose to watch you react to videos online. You must be really good at reacting. Those are the progressive turning into your parents commercials, which still make me giggle every time. Not an ad. Yeah. The other thing I have to say about the Vikings, I didn't think this would be a big story, but the Vikings signed Hotel Beckham to their practice squad, which is not the story. The story Is that can you guess the number that I'll tell Beckham to?
took. Oh, I think I heard this. I know the answer to this. Odell was going to wear nine. Yeah. He's, and I think that this is alone worth signing Odell is that the stink of Jay Jim McCarthy wearing nine. Who was going to do that next for Minnesota? Odell's just taken the bullet. Sure. I think that that is, that's actually really selfless of him. Yeah, why not? He'll have to give it up in probably three weeks, but yeah, they asked him why. And he said, well, Justin Jefferson's 18 and I, I, I gave him half his game, which I thought, yeah, I like that. Cool. The next fraud watch game is the culture at the Steelers who are two and two as they should be. That's correct. Steelers are the epitome of 500. My one status about Jalen Warren, who since Rico Dowell went down, Jalen Warren is second in the league in Yards precarion, third in total yards behind only B. John Robinson and Kyron Williams. He's a borderline top 10 running back in fantasy. And I just wanted to have a little moment. I loved Kenny Gainwell last year, the Steelers MVP. And Jalen Warren is kind of picking up where Kenny left off and has been like, I'd like them his whole career. And I've always thought Jalen Warren was good. But when this guy, he's super tough. It looks like he gets the shit kicked out of him every single week. And he always plays. He grits through every game. And I just think he's one of the more underrated backs in the league. He's an awesome in fantasy and in real life, I just, that's my stat. I totally agree. I think Warren, there's, he has a lot of Kyron in him to me. He's just one of those guys that just makes plays every time he gets them ball. If they finally gave him a bunch of volume, I think he would be a top eight running back in fantasy, maybe higher. There was one playing particular last week that I that caught my eye. And it's just one of those plays where it feels like it goes unnoticed. So I wanted to give him credit on it. There was a he basically leaked out to the to the sideline. And Rogers did like one of those quicks, you know, just flip it out to him in the in the sideline area. And he had to basically peer a wet catch it and keep running. And he just did it so naturally, so easy. He turned, he jumped in the air, pirouetted, landed and just kept going like it was nothing. I just thought, man, having a guy like that, he just makes plays like that routinely. It's so big for your offense. He plays so many backs. There's so many backs. He would like bounce off the guy's hands and it'd be like, oh, that was sucked. Yes, he plays like every play could be his last like an undrafted guy who's fighting for a spot in the team. Steelers have quietly been able to run the ball. I feel like that's well, the last few years, the Steelers have been pitiful on the ground. And this year quietly, six in the league in yards per carry, they're converting a lot of their third downs via running the ball. It's it hasn't been bad. The playing the Colts, this is a game where it's like I would I would think that the Steelers should be able to win this game defensively. I'm like a little bit nervous. I mean, Derek Harmon, who's their awesome second year guy is on IR. Jamel Dean is their corners out for multiple weeks. So now their corners are like a Sante Samuel and a rookie. Obviously, Joey Porter's gone. Michael Pitman's now out. He heard his foot. Yesterday, he's now out multiple weeks. So the Steelers are like, banged up. They are coming off 10 days rest and the Colts are coming off the game in London. That game in London, the Colts are terrible in that game in London. And they won by like two touchdowns and it kind of went under the radar because you know, it is London game and they won by a lot. The Colts looked really bad versus Washington. It was way closer than it should have been versus eighth in Coloc, Clack Monis, an undrafted guy or guy coming in as a third stringer in London, who had no practice time with the team. And just when at Sauce Gardener, I think the Colts defense is terrible. The Sauce Gardener, the Colts second year is doing terribly. And also the Colts offense that I'll appears as kind of a mess. And Jonathan Taylor has been covering this up. But Jonathan Taylor, if he's not able to dominate, the passing game is so truncated, it's so flaccid, Daniel Jones is just not mobile at all. And it is incredible how much it kind of every Colts third and seven is just like Tyler Warren for five yards and two guys tackling him over the middle. But like it is so odd how he gets, he gets tackled by five guys every time he touches the ball. It's because he has like his Ada is one yard down the field. It's that's the thing is like Josh Downs and Tyler Warren, like they're just not able to take this leap into what they want there to be the Colts offense for whatever the passing game with with peers, not there is so unimpressive. I want the Steelers and Morgan one of seven for this game. I think this is our better team. I think I do too. By the way, Tyler Warren's actual air yards per target is two yards. Wow. This year, 2.2. And that's like way, way, way, way, way less than any any other of the like big name tight ends. I think the most promising thing coming out of the Steelers this season is that the offensive line is not bad. And Rodgers has more time this year. And I think it's raised the floor of the offense significantly. Yeah. And also the Steelers look bad and then they can look at I mean, the lot we were left off with the Steelers were saying is it was Aaron Rodgers screaming. Oh, yeah, we got to talk about this like Aaron Rodgers screaming at Mike McCarthy. What was it? Call the fucking play. What was it again? He's like call the fucking play. And then it caught the Mike McCarthy playing. And then Mike McCarthy, you could see him melting a fucking asshole. Unbelievable. These two and then TJ what puts on the headset. I feel like I haven't seen a player put on the headset like TJ what did on the side like and scream into it like like like TJ what did last week. And I'm like, yeah, offense and defense players are screaming at the coaches. That's that's a red flag. The Steelers are such a sneaky disaster. TJ what is holding the entire every every week they're about to lose and he makes some unbelievable play that's like he somehow causes a fumble picks up the fumble runs into the end zone and then the Steelers are back in the game without him. It'd be a mess. Neither water is going to win a Super Bowl. Yeah, that's kind of crazy. Sorry Greg. I loved I actually it was endearing seeing Rodgers and McCarthy screaming at each entertainment. I'm not going to lie. I actually think I like both of them more watching the way that was Carthie said fucking asshole was so classic. He was just like fucking asshole. It's funny about it too. So the play so you know, you know, the radio goes out with 15 seconds left right. But there's a sound like it. It's kind of like a like a really screech. You're like like an old fax machine kind of goes. That's a weird sound. And so you I feel like the sound when it's like a phone being hung up. And then Rod just can't hear him anymore. He's just like fucking asshole. Fucking asshole. Oh, that's so funny. It was asked about it in the presser. Rodgers was he's like, I'm not touching that. And then he was like, do you think that's like a normal way for a play caller in a quarterback to talk to each other? He was like, yeah, we found a lot of success in the past. And I was like, yeah. I'm like, when people like, honestly, like I get it. People yell at each other. You see a lot of players yell at each other. You ever go to like your friend's house and you're a kid and you kind of like their family may be just communicated a little differently than you're totally. Oh, my family, like when we play, who know? It's like a screaming match. And then like an harlander, every fine. Yeah. Oh, dude, Jackie's family is so competitive. Yeah, we'll be playing like ticket to ride or something. And like Jackie's like, like you'll do something. And they're just like, you bitch. And I'm like, whoa. The last game this week is the Lions are at the Cardinals. This is the the Rainbow strip shootout. Oh, big time. They can't play defense. This is the 29th ranked and 30th ranked defenses in the NFL. Both have good offenses and offenses that are not afraid to push the ball down the field. My staff for this and I'm not trying to sound the alarm on it, but I'm just stating a fact here, Jim here gives us on pace for 433 touches this season, which is slightly concerning. He's averaging 25 and a half touches per game. He's already over 100 touches on the season. Basically, going back to 2010, he's on pace to be the second, have the second most touches of any running back in the NFL. The Demarco Murray had more in 2014. Last year, Christian McCaffrey had 413. So he's on pace to have more touches than CMC had last year. I mean, you don't have to have like top 10 most touches ever in a season by a player. Yeah. Yeah. So obviously, love it from a fantasy point of view. A little bit worried about it from a real life point of view, where they're just, it seems like they really need him so badly and they don't have anyone else in the backfield. Why don't they why don't they trade for a they have a they have. Yeah, it's true for say one. They have a Zebra Chico, who immediately got hurt and has an MCL issue. So they're again, it's Jimmy. The backup running back for Junior Gibbs is Cione Vocky, who played also played defense at Utah in college, like he's not like some long-term running back. He was kind of playing both sides of the ball, or special teams. Really, I don't know if he even had a carry for the Lions until this season. So they just really, they don't have a plan if Jameer Gibbs gets hurt before Thanksgiving when Pacheco's back. And the I don't know. The Lions, DK, you call this used to go. The Brad Holmes, the GM is just a little too high in his own supply and a bunch of draft picks in a row. And they just this is it's weird to come into a season where they know they're so rely on Jameer Gibbs. Pacheco gets hurt and they just they have no plan. But yeah, so they're gonna run him into the ground. Yeah, they're they're riding this thing to the wheels fall off, which I love. It's fantasy. It's great for fantasy right now. The other stat that I want to throw here. This was from Doug Clawson, who's actually lately been throwing out some really great stats. So check him out on Twitter. The Lions have allowed a touchdown on 41% of their drives. The defensive drives this season. That's the fifth highest rate of any team through the first four games of the season this century. So this is a all time potentially all time bad one of the worst defenses we've seen. I mean, allowing any points of 43% of your drives is not great. Yeah, a touchdown on 43%'s fucking crazy. They just cannot stop anybody. So it's gonna be this is gonna be a big scoring game. I'm I'm excited about Michael Wilson this week. I'm excited about
Um, traumatic bride, yeah, you can start pretty much all the cartels. I wouldn't start Martin Harrison, just because you know, everything history. But Paris Johnson Jr. The left tackle for the Cardinals is out for the season, which is a huge blow. But that won't matter this week. The lines can't do anything about it. So going forward, maybe that affects the Cardinals, but okay. We have our rankings are at fantasy football dot three or dot com. If you have start to sit. So we have our rankings there and they get updated, um, Sunday morning before the games. Uh, and again, Eagles jacks in London. If you have Eagles or Jaguars, just right now, just move them wherever you go. TK, are you getting up for that game? I'll be getting up for the second half. Sure, for sure. Yeah. All you guys know what happened, uh, probably nothing. All right. Today's ringer one of seven is brought to you by Fandall. Again, we're doing the ringer one of seven where we're picking a hundred and seven games against all their other ringer. Well, a hundred and six for us. Pots, a hundred and six, well, we, we, we were favored by a game. We forgot to do what you guys want to try to do. I was thinking we could try to make our picks in a hundred and seven seconds each week. How do you feel about that? That works perfect. You can do that. One time or seven seconds. Yeah, I haven't just saw my phone right now. Oh, yeah. Okay. What is, what's our record right now? That's a great question. I don't want to draw. I don't think I want to draw attention to it. No, are we first? Yeah, we're, yeah, we're 10 and 10. We're tied for first. Wow. Oh, okay. That's kind of awesome. It's better than I expected. Who is, um, man, I love it. Who's, who's in last for him? Oh, I think so. Okay. When you want to start the clock, yeah, how do you want? How do you want to do this? Let's, let's just clock is starting now. All right. I want the bears over the packers because of the rushing thing we talked about. I want these Steelers over the cults because I just, I really don't believe in the cults and I want the Texans over the Titans because there's so much better. So the only overlap there is the Texans that I have. You want to lock that in DK? Yeah. The other ones I thought of, um, Raiders getting three and a half against New England. I thought was interesting. The Broncos minus three and a half against the charges. I'm like, the charges have lost every game by seven or more. And both tackles are out. Like, what am I missing? Sean Payton taking over play, calling like, give me the fuck. I'll take anybody to beat the charges by five, let alone the Broncos. I had the Broncos also. So we're like that. Let's lock that in. Um, Ravens plus three and a half at Atlanta intrigued me. You want to tie their huntly? You want a bet on that though? I don't know. It's like people get a little hot on that land. And I'm like, that ain't played anybody. It's up to you. It's just like, I mean, it's, it's a backup quarterback. I don't know. And then I was like, Niners getting three points to play the Seahawks. Niners, my teaser, the teaser I was thinking about is just Bengals and the Niners. So the Niners would get nine points from Seattle. And then the Bengals that to beat Miami by more than one. So that is, I like that. Yeah. Okay. Bengals get, give one point to Miami and the Niners to beat the, they could lose to the Seahawks by eight. And we can still win. Okay. Deke, do you want to get, do you guys want to do the Steelers thing? Deke, can't you want to do the Steelers? God. Well, why don't you do Texans Broncos? Well, are we, do you want to do the Bears? I don't want to make you do. I, I, I think the Bears, it's more fun. We like the Bears. Deke, you like the Bears to beat the Packers significantly? It's quite too and a half. I mean, yeah, the backup quarterback thing is a little bit daunting. But yeah, the way that they're running, the way that the Packers are running. Yeah, I like that. Menungai, by the way, turf toe, probably not going to play. Yeah, he might not play. Was that it? That was it. We didn't make it. Well, I guess we only have three games this week. Should we only submit four? No, we have four. We have four. Damn. We need one more. Texan Broncos, Bears and Teas. Okay. Oh God. What's the whole? I had the Steelers. I had the Steelers written down. All right. Let's do the stupid Steelers. Okay. All right. Texan Broncos, Bear and Steelers and then Bengals, Niners Teas. Yeah. Today's ringer one of seven is brought to you by Fandle odds subject to change. Okay. I don't think we've overused the Gong at all yet, by the way. I'm telling you Gong plays still hits. Gong plays. Oh, Fergie. You know that song? I love Fergie. I'll explain it to Fergie's entire catalog. Or at least they're big five glamorous. Big girls don't cry. Fergolicious. Dangerous spell everything. She spells everything at herself. F to the E R G the I the E. It's great. Clumsy is a good one. No, do you know clumsy? Give me give me the no fight. Give me the refrain. You got me trippin. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, slip in. Clumsy cousin falling in love. She's great, dude. For God's sake, I can just imagine Craig in his car. You got me trippin. It's like a xylophone in the song or something. It's fucking great. You're just like a bridge. Yeah. So I was like, oh, shit, oh, shit. My London down to bridge. Oh, that's good. Also, I Mickey Milky Coco puffs. For some reason, I think that that's black eyed piece. For some reason, I heard the clean version of London bridge. So I always I equilated to, oh, snap. Yeah. Oh, snap. The sirens are going off Fergie. If you like her music, I don't know. Culturally expired her solo work. But you put it on. You're going to sing. Absolutely. Is she not like touring anymore or doing anything anymore? What are they? What's she up to? I don't know. I'm like, I'll do a reunion tour in five years. I think of a bajillion dollars. I mean, you got my trippin. Oh, Nambale. DK, you know, to tie it all together, Fergie for a long time was married to Josh Tumel star in Transformers. And that show lost Vegas, which was underrated on B's NBC. It a good run. I watched it. I did. There's something about Josh Dumel or Duma Mal or however he says last name, he's like a prepper. Now. Did you see this? Do you see prepper? Yeah. Oh, is he? Hold on. I got to fight. Take purge. Those people might be on to something. I didn't know there was a shorthand as just prepper. Yeah, prepping is good. Yeah. The doomsday preppers. I kind of do wish I had a bunker these days. He has a doomsday cabin for the apocalypse. I saw I am talking about it. I wouldn't say no to a bunker. Somebody offered me. It's better and better just every year. It feels like a lot of work to imagine together. Imagine a Sunday slate from the bunker. Hell yeah. There's this place that has like a bunch of like really like high ultra resort bunkers that you can reserve a new maker reservation for the bunker. And it's basically a bunch of billionaires that wanted to build their own and realize it's like super hard to build a bunker. Yeah. So they just have a reservation at a bunker. Do you think Fergie has a bunker? No. I like that she spelled glamorous. That's not the word you would have picked. Usually you would be like, I'm going to spell G L A M like it's such a that's a weird song to spell. Weird word to spell. She does a lot of spelling. Check out Clumsy. The bike that he's in general did. Yeah. Check out Clumsy. It's a fun one. All right. It's really good.
