Be Yourself or Get Lost with Jimmy Queen | The Iron Perspective with JD Denham 57
from The JD Denham Podcast
64m 40s
Jimmy Queen shares his journey of transformation and authenticity, highlighting how his wife and father shaped his values and integrity. He credits his success not to external validation, but to staying true to himself through fitness, faith, and vulnerability. Social media became a tool for real connection, not performance, with raw, unedited content that reflects everyday life and struggles. He emphasizes small, daily habits—like gratitude lists and early morning routines—as foundational to building confidence and momentum. His brand, rooted in family, fitness, and mental health, grew from a simple fitness post that sparked a movement of community and support. Jimmy stresses that sobriety, faith, and self-honesty are not optional add-ons but essential pillars of personal growth. He warns against chasing trends or validation, promoting instead a life of discipline, authenticity, and service. His story illustrates that true success comes from consistency, integrity, and living with purpose—especially in challenging times. Through shared experiences, he builds trust, fosters brotherhood, and empowers others to find their own path without compromising who they are. Ultimately, Jimmy Queen’s journey is a testament to the power of authenticity, faith, and self-belief in building a meaningful life and legacy.

- Welcome back to the Iron Perspective.
I'm your host, JD Denim.
I'm excited to be here.
I hope you're excited to be here with me.
So we are closing out the end of March.
Redemption month, add some rad guests on,
talking about some sobriety, talking about
men that rose from the ashes and whatever their demon was,
they rose above it and started kicking ass.
So I hope you'd enjoyed it.
Before I introduce the last man of the month
that's gonna be on the show,
I wanna talk about next month.
Next month for the month of April,
I'm gonna have some men in my life that have,
I've looked up to and have been somewhat mentors.
Mark Moss will be on the show.
I'm where I'm out today without a doubt,
because of that man.
He's the man that sparked the entrepreneurial spirit in me.
And the social media, taking a chance
of social media in me.
So he's gonna be on the show.
And then Sean Whalen from Lions Not Sheep
will be on the show.
We're gonna be talking about just guys
that had made a mark in an industry,
anything in the clothing industry is hard in itself,
but Lions Not Sheep, where it's polarizing.
So we'll dig into that a little bit.
And then us three will be sitting around
and talking about some different things and a lot.
So that's coming and then I'll have one more guy on there.
So that's gonna be April, but the last one,
the last podcast of March,
I wanted to bring Jimmy Queen on
because we were just talking off camera.
It was fun to hear his story.
He's told his story, a lot of people heard his story,
but we wanna talk about some cool shit.
We wanna talk about some stuff that,
get into the fun.
Yeah, let's talk about some stuff that like one,
you guys probably wanna hear about,
how did he become Jimmy Queen?
When you become a certain stature,
you have to say the last name, apparently,
'cause somebody say JD, denim, and Jimmy Queen.
I know it's to say Jimmy, you know?
So I guess that's when you hit it.
When you, your last name's, it's always Jimmy Queen, dude.
Always, bro.
So welcome to the show, bro.
I'm excited to have you on.
I thought that one was good, but again, I wanted to have you on.
I wanted to start, dude, with, I'm interested,
'cause I have a few.
Are there any men or women
who have changed the trajectory of you?
Mentors, anybody that has made a mark
that has changed just you?
Yeah, I mean, first, my wife, dude, you know?
Like, I just wanna be here today.
Like, especially if you talk about like getting started
in social media, I wouldn't have started without her,
like, I wasn't ever planning on starting social media.
My initial idea, I wanted her to start social media,
'cause I was working in the cranes
and I was making good money.
And this is a perfect opportunity for you, right?
But she was like, she didn't wanna get into it.
And when I started, like, bro, it's so funny.
Like, we had, we used an iPhone
and she was my videographer, you know what I mean?
Like, that was my teammate.
I ride her diet every day.
She'd follow me around gym, grocery stores,
whatever, and just film me.
And like, even on getting creative, you know?
Like, we're always bounce ideas off each other,
like the $100 haul.
Yeah, like all that, like, that was big.
Yeah, that name cranked and that was her.
So it was like, yeah, like, she's always had insight.
And like, you need to have somebody
bro that believes in you.
Just you, you know?
And to stay you, like, especially like we were talking,
like, you get into social media and it's like,
what's the one thing people fail?
They lose themselves, right?
Like, I don't think they stay true to who they are.
So my wife is definitely a major influence.
And then just like, honestly, just,
there's so many people in this.
I've seen so many people do things
in so many different departments.
Like, I feel like there's so many people
that play a piece as a mentor to me in a different way.
You know, like, I got guys, just that make me who I am.
You got Chris Jones on my sobriety and my faith journey.
Bro, my parents just on being the human that I am today.
I wouldn't be like, everything when it comes to core values
came from my mom and dad, you know?
Like, my pops, my pops has never done
one person dirty his entire life.
Yeah, that's what my dad is.
You know, and he's made plenty of mistakes.
He has his own demons, he has his own struggles.
But even him at his lowest, dude, never burned anybody.
How important do you think that is
in the cultivation of somebody in general?
I mean, people can break.
People that have had rough lives have broken out of that.
Chain, so to speak, and have become really good people.
But that's the same thing for me.
My dad is in the mat of integrity.
Yeah, so when I got sober at 33 and it was actually ready to do it,
the morals and the moral compass that he had laid within me
that I never listened to is what I sit upon on my weakest hour.
Yeah, you know what I mean?
Yes, those never listening to those things.
Whatever it is.
Yeah, I mean, yeah.
But I feel like when you grow up around that
and it's like someone like your pops,
like that stuff's instilled in you.
Even though even when you're partying and you're using
and you're lost in your addiction,
you still have that ingrained in who you are.
You're integrity is everything.
And you don't get it back.
Like I think that's what people.
It's not like you go like as a man,
like once you break your word, once you lose integrity.
Bro, do you get it back?
It's gone forever.
It takes so long to get it back.
Yeah, you know, like you burn certain bridges, dude,
and whether or not you were hired, whatever you were doing it,
like don't expect to get those back.
And that's a big part of like recovery.
Like dude, you have to.
You might try, you could make amends,
but that doesn't mean they're going to accept them
and you have to accept that.
Yeah, because you burn that bridge, you know?
Hopefully people come around, but like integrity is everything.
And like we're jumping in a social media stuff, dude.
Like you break who you are, you lose your integrity.
Like you're done.
You're a fraud.
I think, well, in sobriety,
I don't think that anybody keeps sobriety
that doesn't keep, stay integral.
Yeah, because once you start,
it's like a boat weight, dude.
Boat weight, you're chilling, you surf in everything's chilling.
And then you start breaking your integrity.
Even if it's slightly, you don't see yourself.
And all of a sudden you pick up a bottle,
you're like, how the hell did that happen?
Well, you started with this little thing.
Yeah, dude, like lying about something, like, yeah.
Cheating here, cheating there,
talking to some girl when you're married.
Those are little backtracks and all of a sudden,
you're like, dude, what am I drinking?
And I've seen people like go down that road, you know?
Like they're sober, but then you start to see them slip.
Even though they're sober,
they're still not fixing or working on their character defects.
Right. And that's an issue, bro.
That's like a dry drum.
Or that's someone just because you're sober,
it doesn't mean you're doing the steps.
It's like you could go to church.
Okay, you're a Christian,
but that doesn't mean you're a good person.
Yeah, it doesn't mean you're a good person.
If you're still, you don't have it,
you can't go to church.
Yeah.
You know, like, I think that's what,
that's why fitness for me is always at the foundation
of everything in my life,
because you have to do the work.
You could lie.
You could take, you can't, but it's going to show.
Take your shirt off. Yeah.
It's always the same.
You could go to church every Sunday.
Doesn't make you a good Christian.
You could be sober.
It doesn't mean you're following the steps
and eventually you're going to cave.
And that's why I like my foundational pillars.
It's like faith, faith, faith, family, sobriety and fitness, you know?
When you, so you, your, your bride gets you into social media,
because it doesn't seem like either of us.
I mean, I'm, I can't even believe we're on a podcast.
I mean, I'm freaking hate being on social media, dude.
I hate it, but it's like, here we are.
But, but I think that is kind of the,
some of the reason of the success.
But it's, I think we both kind of carry a rawness around.
Give a shit if you don't like it.
Yeah, I'm going to be me.
And like, I think, I think that comes
from some of the punk rock roots.
Like I was born with a Mohawk, dude.
Like this break shit.
Yeah. And that just, that's just who I was, man.
Like, like, I'll jump that thing when we're kids.
Like, chicken, I'm like, you know, like, just balls.
But against the grain, walking against the grain
and just not willing to fall in line.
Like most people do, like, even look at like COVID.
I was like, how did everybody just fall in line?
I was like, dude, and I'm not doing any of that stuff.
But that type of moxie or punk rock
or like, whatever one wants to call it.
I think that authenticity shines.
If you can, if you can learn how to package it, brand it,
whatever, and I think that we both in our own ways
have done that.
I don't even know if it was intentionally.
I was pretty methodical out the gate.
Yeah, I had some plans too.
Like I knew I knew how it was going to go about it.
Like, it's crazy too.
Like like plotting the attacks, so to speak.
Yeah, like everything for me was with like, honestly,
I think it always comes back to like God's timing.
Like I could have started social media.
If I would have started social media like seven years ago,
like fresh, like early in my sobriety,
I wouldn't have been ready, dude, I would have failed.
'Cause I just wasn't, I don't think I was confident enough.
Like as the man I was, I probably would have like lost direction
and lost sight of who I am and staying true to who I am.
You know, social media is a weird thing to navigate, dude.
Like you, people get lost in the sauce.
They want, they start chasing a following, you know?
And it's like, well, what are you trying to grow?
What are you trying to build?
Like I work with people that want to grow social media.
And it's like, dude, you could grow a following
or you could grow a business, you know?
What are you utilizing it for?
Because you could have a million followers
and a million people don't give a fuck about you
or you could have 200 followers that are like,
right or die with you, you know?
And they believe you and they trust you
and those people, why do they follow you so hard?
Because you stay true to who you are, you know?
But people want the attention.
Like they chase trends and they chase fucking trending audios.
Like I'm not gonna use some trending audio.
That fucking stuff, fucking song sucks, dude.
Like I'm not gonna put it on, I'm not gonna stamp that next to me,
I mean like I'm good bro. I'm not doing some dance
Whatever is going on like it worked really quickly. I mean, I think you started probably four months before me because again
I was on social media because of a woke trying to build
That channel and I was always shadow bands. So I'm used to being shadow band
And then the fitness thing just kind of came. I mean, I don't remember we talked about this
But it was I was at a park and I just did men are overweight and they're getting sloppy and
My passion is to get men to stand back. Yeah, godly leaders
Yeah, I said other children because the world's a freaking mess because we're on a woke came from I'm not doing any of that like
Sorry young guy. Yeah, you're not going into a restroom. Just as a chick
And that was on a look was about yeah, like you can wear 18 masks and take 15 vaccinations
I support it say back to me now because just let me be living that live
You know, I think the one thing that we have the most in common is fitness was our door it right?
So it was like, okay, what am I gonna do what fitness is a huge part of your life?
It's a huge part of mine. So it's a really easy everything. Yeah, it's really easy job. Yeah, no matter what
No, but it was a thing for me when I started social media what people don't understand it was like I'm already doing this
No matter what I'm already getting out of the gym I already eat this way. Yeah, my lifestyle is not changing
I just have to film it so if it doesn't work nothing's
Changing in my life like I'm just gonna post what I actually do, you know, like I think so many people like yeah
You do this this and this and they don't do it right, you know what I mean? So like the fear of the fear of failing
Didn't really exist because nothing in my life was gonna change if the social
Did you drop it up? No, you were still a little bit of both. Yeah, I was doing a little bit of both
I mean, dude, I quit my job damn near immediately, you know, because I knew I couldn't do that quick
Yeah, so like I was a month a month on social media was there a like so I could tell you I could tell you there's two posts
That put me on the map meeting like 20,000 out of one. Yeah, it was like a cholesterol post that people were arguing about
I mean it did like 20 million. Yeah, and it went for months. Yeah, people are arguing and like yeah dripping mean
I was like I'd already been ripped and done well as I'm used to this shit. Run it
Let this algo run, you know to mean it as I started my channel
My wife like so everybody when I said I was in a sort of fitness channel
Was they were like do you never know it's saturated bro? Like what are you thinking? So that's what saying people are saying that
That's what I thought for myself
Like I thought I missed the mark. I'm like there's no way like how am I gonna jump in a social media do fitness bro
Like people have been doing this for so long, but the thing where I was wrong was like
There's no fucking Jimmy Queen. Yeah, you know, there's all these bodybuilders that do fitness
But who did you have a like did you like think that like I that's what got me to do it, you know, I mean
There's so many things in life bro like you grew up here too like I had so many moments and so many things
I wanted to start but the fear of starting and people seeing me start held me back
Like I've always like I preached to people to like not chase validation to
Honest I made a post-test or like don't give a fuck that honestly the secret to life is to not give a fuck
Yeah, it's liberation it literally like and people say they don't give a fuck, but they do that's it takes a lot
It's well social media will force that out of you do like it will there's benefits to social media because it forces you to grow
Yeah, like and it could defeat you or it could like read some of our comments if you don't believe us
Yeah, that's what you have a lot of fun
Like catapult who you are though because it does force you to show up you're putting it out there like there is no going
Oh, bro, you like like you are we are like just a completely vulnerable yeah out there
Yeah, and so I guess I had a little bit of a head head start on you on that because I did it in a woken
I was a talk date. Yeah, you kind of knew what was coming on my yeah
Like some of how I deal with that is I type something now like who the fuck you talking to you know
And then like I feel better and then I delete it
When I because we have weak moments like sometimes I'm just tired. We work our asses off
They think we just post a video. We just kill it. Do you know where I worked seven days a week. I'm not joking
I worked the first year seven days a week like 16 hour days. I was it's like you
Filming all my shit out of hot your tripod filming my shit editing my shit. It wasn't even that good at it
Posting my shit selling my program working my program talking to 15 people like at once because I was doing a long text
Because I didn't I was in the head of the I'm not a tech guy
Yeah, and like because I want to give the best server answering them. Yeah all day
I had never posted a video before on Instagram. Oh my god like when I started Instagram
I had a really small I already had a small fallen but I never posted I used it to follow the UFC
And the WSL so surfing in UFC right and then like I'm working like I was the busiest I'd ever been in the trades
Which was a fucking blessing, you know, I was making the best money. I've ever made. I'm like dude
We're we're doing good. Yeah, you know, we're sober my marriage is solid work is solid here. I am working like I
Think it came down to this one week. I worked 128 hours in a week
Wow, and it was gnarly. Yeah, my wife's like bummed my kids
I'm not existing in their life. I'm missing dad and donut day. I'm missing all the things all the soccer games
I'm missing everything dude and like I was literally on Instagram and I would see like reliant fitness
Oh, well, I'm like who the fuck is this dude? And he kept popping up on my you click on them once dude
All of a sudden all the videos are coming right here, so but I'm like here's this straight shot dude like
Firefighter, whatever, but he's doing fitness and that just made me think like dude if he could do it
Why can't I like that's where people don't understand like dude comparison as a thief a joy stop comparing yourself and just start doing the work
And I was like bro like I'm not gonna fucking hate on them. I'm just gonna start if he could do it
He believes the same blood as me
Why can't I and it's gonna come down to me doing it? And I honestly started posting some fitness stuff my wife's like
What are you doing? I'm like she's like are you doing social media? I'm like I fucking guess so yeah
And in that first few weeks. I posted one video some dude happened. I wasn't filming
I linked up with Brad and a couple other guys went to Metro Flex down in Marietta and this dude just happened
I film a clip of me talking he was talking to someone else what fitness meant to him and the camera got turned on me
And I just said what it meant to me and I just said like I don't think I would be a good father without fitness or a good husband
And like fitness has built me into who I am and it's it's all of these things and I tied it in a faith
Posted that video the quality was total shit, right because I started like yeah, I didn't have the actual clip
I stream recorded it on YouTube posted it on my
Instagram, but I had to zoom in to make it fit the string so the quality was garbage
But I gained like 30,000 followers and I was like I'm quit my fucking job dude
Like I'm I'm going all in like I think I could do this, you know, and it's a
It's a funny thing because I knew from the beginning though. That's why I never changed. It's Jimmy Queen
I'm not Jimmy Queen fucking fitness
Whatever, this is I knew from the beginning. I'm just gonna be me. That's cool
You have the horse like that. Yeah, my friends. My brand is me
Yeah, that's right and I knew there was gonna be other things I wanted to do fitness
It's just a part of my life. It's only an hour and a half out of my day
Yeah, I prep food and do all these other things
But I serve I've always been in a clothing I grew up in Orange County
Huntington I was sponsored growing up. I know the clothing industry very well a lot of my dad's friends
That started some of the biggest companies in the surface and I knew that was a lane
I wanted to run down, but I knew in order to make that successful
Well, one you got it. It's a very competitive. That's another saturated market
Make your name known and then start to do things and that's what people don't understand
That's smart because that's that's true
That's because otherwise you're just gonna be working here. I saw
Yeah, it's a beauty about social media now man that like things have changed. I mean when I started
So I was you know, I've been a mortgage guy. That was well, you know like you had done well
I was then mortgages went down and I was working
I was working at like a dense settlement place, which is crooked. Oh, God
So I can later tell me like I'm like are you sure if I tell them this that's legit because I'm not lying to anybody
Yeah, my integrity's way more than I'm are you sure and then I finally caught up the fact that that wasn't happening
I'm like I'm out of here done. I'm not gonna lie to these people. So I'm done now. I'm like not working and again
went to the park all and I'm like I'm gonna do fitness and and this is where like like your bride
I told my wife said I'm gonna do a fitness channel
She goes if anybody can do you can
Yeah, that's my right. Yeah, right. Yeah, she supported me and my dad. That was about it
My wife burned all the bridges dude. She doesn't she's only told me to quit my job
I was like, okay, that's it. If you're but that's why you got a good man
Yeah, because my wife supports me and my wife knows that if I have to go deliver pizzas for 20 hours and freaking dig holes
Yeah, I had to yeah, 100% you don't give a shit. My family will be protected and they'll be taking care
Period so that that kind of added to you. I think is important the
I'm gonna fucking make it like you know what I mean like well that's you
You have to believe that you're gonna make it like if you don't believe you're gonna make it dude
You already failed might said, you know what I mean? And the thing is is don't expect out don't expect the outcome
You want right away and and that's not what social media. That's with anything in life
But I don't care if it's the results in the gym getting sober leaning in your faith starting a business
Dude, if you want the outcome by tomorrow, you're smoked out right? You know, you are going to get humbled hard
The biggest thing with having faith, which is why I think having faith in life is so important
It's you're believing in something without seeing the outcome
You're willing to show up tomorrow and do the work without seeing the outcome
Most people quit before the outcome comes why because they lose faith
You know, that's like the biggest thing with like people getting in shape
Why do most people hire coaches? It's because you're putting faith in as someone else and you're trusting their plan
Because someone puts themselves on their own macros or their own workout plan one week in they haven't seen
change. What do they do? They start back pedaling because they had to work. There was exactly.
It doesn't work. So I'm just going to slowly start straining away. The discipline has to
be there. You know, like if you're working with somebody or somebody wants to start a channel.
Okay, we're and they don't have that discipline. What would you say? How do you, how do you,
what do you recommend to them? If you don't have the discipline before you even start social media,
you need to start applying these things to your life first or you're just, you're going to get lost
in the sauce. Like you're going to pretend to be someone you're not. And I think that's something
we see probably every single day, especially in fitness. Fitness is like snake oil everywhere
you look in fitness. It's fake. You know, they're they're selling something that's just not true.
And like that's the biggest thing with me. Like I sell fitness, but really like the biggest
thing with like the Jimmy Queen team is it's it's family, bro. Yeah, it's me and it's family.
People that sign up with me trip out there like, bro, you're the exact same person that we
always see on. Yeah, it's huge. You know, and like I would have never even planned. I could have never
even planned. At first, I started a fitness program. Yeah. But dude, I connect with people like
I that's just how I was raised, dude. Like I genuinely connect and I end up building relationships.
That's some of it though. Yeah, you know, and like I start to. Yeah, you can kind of like I actually
feel, but I care. Yeah, that's what I mean. You know, they care. There's like these very early on,
I started to establish like real relationships. And I'm like, dude, this dude's my fucking best friend.
I didn't even met him in person. Yeah. And I trust this guy with like my life. Yeah. Yeah, you know,
and like, yeah, and that's where I think that's what separated me from so many people was it started
as a fitness thing and it became so much more than community and brotherhood and fellowship. Like,
bro, like I almost lost three guys to suicide in a really short period of time. One of them was a
Marine. One of them was a battalion chief firefighter and one of them just lost his daughter.
I was the first phone call from the hospital, dude, when the dude lost his daughter.
Geez. Bro, I put that in God's hands. God like directed me on what to say. I was impressed with
myself like I'm talking to someone at their most vulnerable state in their life. And I had like what
my words are the words that come out of my mouth are going to leave an impact. So they better be the
right ones. You know, and when that happened, that was when I started doing Zoom calls and I started
to go, you know what? Like I was asking God what to do. I started having all these consultations.
Everything was related mental health related all week. I was like, when you ask God the right
questions, he starts answering pretty quick, right? Everything was like, I was talking to people
that were like, bro, I had a gun in my head yesterday. I don't know what to do. I'm like, whoa.
Yeah. On that call. Yeah. Oh shit. Like people were opening up to me and I was like, wow, people
are putting this much trust in me. I need to do something. So I hit up everybody on my team at the
time. I think I had like 100 clients. And I said, hey, dude, Thursday, I'm giving my testimony
tomorrow. Show up. And I just surrendered, you know, and my wife surrendered. In between us both,
there's been everything from depression, it's sexual abuse to substance abuse to marriage struggles,
financial struggles, starting social media and securities. All I just, we just laid it all out
there. What it did was it gave everybody permission to be open honest and real sense. You know,
I'm not this fucking perfect cut. Whatever you think you know of me. Here's the real thing. You know
what I mean? And it just, it was infectious, dude. All of sudden, everybody on my team started to
like be vulnerable and use each other as like support systems. So ever since then, that was like
two and a half years ago. We do testimonies every Thursday night and it's really fellowship.
Oh, you're a routine. Yeah. That's cool. So it's, it's really rad. I think one like something
every man and woman searches for in life or people get lost is they, they feel like they don't have
purpose. Everyone has purpose. And the way if you don't know what your purpose is, start with
being of service. Yeah. Helped him. That's it. Helped somebody. You feel, you feel anxious.
You feel depressed. You feel like you're drinking all the time. Helped somebody. Literally,
you will like God, I call God puts his hand on it. God, you see God looks at you doing something,
man. You're helping somebody. Let me bless this guy. If it's even if it's just a blessing with
peace right now, dude, it's really that simple. You told me the last time I was on your podcast,
that lady came up to you in the parking lot. Change my lab, baby. One comment, bro. Change your
life. That was what you did. You know, she didn't have to say that. She did change your whole
projectory of who JD is as a fucking man. Lift people. One thing. Lift people. Lift people up.
Well, that's some of it too is like I said, people, people like, well, it must be nice because now
you know, you're successful. So it must be nice. They don't see the hours and hours and hours and
hours and hours and the like being methodically posting these posts. Like I mean, I'm like a freaking
robot, dude. That's one thing that works well for me. Yeah. I'm not the most talented, but I would
by say I'm doing it. Five o'clock, eight o'clock, 12 o'clock, three o'clock, and five o'clock is
where I started. I still I still post a lot. And I was a clockwork, bro. I did not freaking miss the
consistency. How should I build the algorithm so built in? It would have to God. And so what I did,
I didn't know like how to do it. Like I was in the social media. I didn't even watch anybody on
coaching. I didn't really know that much about it. And so it's a learning curve. Yeah. So like
I was like somebody had given me the outline. That one wasn't when when Wes Watson was like
whatever the hell he's doing now. He was like motivating. And I liked that badass type of motivation
when he wasn't a douche. You know, and so they'd give me his like script three real or three stories
and a post for a day. So I started at that. And then I was like, dude, this sucks, dude. This is
boring, dude. So I did. I'm like, I'm just gonna make my own way. So I started in like I thought through it.
Like thinking is such hard work or hard work that if it were easy, everybody would do it. Yes,
Henry Ford. I love that quote because I sit there and I would think through my shit. Well,
okay. So Monday's is going to be fitness dead. Stories in the morning would all connect.
And then the post would connect. That would set the algorithm I learned. Day two is I'm going to
honor my bride. I don't know my bridal locks. I freaking love her. Yeah. And I believe more men should
do it. So then the first three stories, they would be either family or me honoring my wife.
First post was that, right? Yeah. Or next day was food, which is the best post of all food. I
can't believe it. Yeah. Food. Food is my shirt off. There's like still do because now it's like
they don't have the shirt off. Yeah. Put your shirt on old man. It's like, it's like they like
consistency. I think there's definitely a plan that you could have going in a social media,
but at the same time, it cultivates. You got to cultivate. You got to refine. You're going
to have to pivot. You know, like when I first started, it was like a question that I would ask
myself. And I think most people, anyone getting into social media should ask themselves the same
question as if if you don't know me, how, by what I post, how are you going to get to know me?
And that's really hard. Like if you know yourself, but some, all these people viewing your stuff,
they have no idea. That's interesting. That's interesting. And this isn't coming as pompous.
I think if you did that, you would get it like a family god love and fitness and food. So that's
how my posting would go. Like I didn't have a, I didn't have a, I didn't have structure. I didn't
have a schedule. I didn't, I went against the grain on what everybody else was doing. I didn't post
like my stories. I just would talk shit. I would post who I am on those. I don't know if that
was beneficial or not. Obviously, but my, my, my regular hardpost, it was like, okay, well, who am I?
If people are going to get to know me, how are they going to get to know me? Well, it's going to
be a fitness post. It's going to be a nutrition post. Yeah. A little bit of style on who I am.
Maybe sprinkle and serving in a little bit of family. And then kind of rinse and repeat, right?
But obviously there's so many, each post is just one layer of you. One small slice of who you are.
So like the fitness post could change every single week. The family post can change every single
week. The nutrition could change every single week. The style is always going to be different.
Obviously, like over time, now I try to like be more structured because I have to. Yeah.
Because we have so many different things going on. Like if you're not structured and on
schedule, you're fucking behind it and everything. And like, you know, and like, you have to have
content out there. So like, now I'm, now I'm a lot better about staying more scheduled and structured
with posting. That surprises me. You say you weren't. I would have thought that you were.
So that's when that's where we, we. My mind was there. Like, I knew like that was turning in my
head. Like, okay, and you start for people too. You're going to see what, what kind of works for
people and what doesn't. But I want to pay too much attention to that either depending on,
it just depends on what you're going for. What are you utilizing social media for? Because
I post things all the time that I know aren't going viral. I know before I post it, it's not going
to do good. But when I post a layer of who I am and it shows me as a man and as a father,
someone else is like, they relate to that. They connect with that. So like, now, if you're using
it for a perfect example, if you're trying to be a coach and you post something like that,
well, now a potential client sees how much they have in common with you, right?
They saw you with your kid. They saw you leading like your family. So like, now they,
they built a little bit of a relation with you. Yeah. People think so one of the things that I did
was life is not pristine. It's not perfect. It's messy as shit. So I don't over edit. I don't,
if I had sometimes spelled things wrong, I don't fix it. Like, I don't give a shit that much to
you. Like, listen, dude, if you have a problem with that, then whatever dude. And so that's how I
started and my phone, like, like, especially towards the beginning, I probably should have got it
upgrade on the phone. It's a lot of the lighting was good. Yeah, bro. I had posted this one food
picture, and I'm like, blur your shit. Fuck, I'll do it. And I just put it on it when it ran forever.
But I think people like that rawness where it's not all about pristine and like some guys that
works, where Justin does that works for him. Yeah, that's, I'm not Justin. Yeah. Like, I'm more of
the raw type stuff. But yeah, like you said, everybody has to just find what works for them. And
as long as you can encapsulate you, you should have no problem. You have to be because there's a time
I'm a dozen. We've talked about a guy standing in front of a Lamborghini.
at that gym and like acting like it's, yeah.
- Yeah.
- First off, who gives a shit?
- Yeah. - Secondly, who gives a shit?
- Honestly, like, - Oh, you got a Lamborghini
you're ridden?
- Dude, I drive it.
- I drive a 1991 Toyota, dude.
I fucking love that truck more than anything.
I'll never get rid of it, bro.
Like, it's who I am.
I don't care about personal belongings and items, dude.
Like, and I think I post that shit and people are like,
oh, it's easy for you to say, like, you have money.
It's like, no, bro, I've never given a fuck about money.
- For sure.
- The thing that, I think that might be why we have a couple bucks.
- Yeah, so I don't really care either.
The most valuable thing money could teach you
is what it can't buy you, dude.
- Yeah, for sure.
- That's the reality of it all.
For me, you know, like, we bought our dream house this year.
Was it a huge accomplishment for myself?
- Absolutely.
That house means nothing without my daughters inside of it.
- Period.
- Means nothing, dude.
I don't need a fucking, I dropped my kids off
in that 1991 Toyota and they get embarrassed, dude.
Like, they're like, bro, really?
- Yeah, like, drop me off right here.
I'm like, no, I'm pulling up to the front.
- But it has Jimmy Queen.
- I'm pulling up to the front, babe,
and I'm dropping you off, but I want them to know.
Like, dude, it's your dad could buy whatever car he wants,
but that doesn't change who I am.
- Yeah, right.
- So if I'm in this truck or if I'm in a brand new
whatever fucking car, the newest, hottest thing there is,
that doesn't change the man, again,
it comes back to integrity, dude.
If you don't have integrity, fuck you.
- No matter.
- You know what I mean?
I don't care what people have.
I'm not gonna be friends with someone for what they have.
I'm gonna value who they are as a person.
That's why we connected.
Because, one, the first time I saw you,
you were in church, and you're raising your kid up in there,
and I'm like, damn, so JD, this is cool, dude.
Like, I've seen you online,
but now I'm seeing you behind the scenes,
and this is who you are.
This is you being true to you.
These are core values that you can't fake.
- Well, that's, I think that's some of the success.
So yeah, let's talk about that.
Let's talk about faith.
Because, okay, so this is a cool story.
So, I don't know.
Maybe I was in two or six months.
I don't know what it was exactly,
but the finish panel's doing really well.
I was doing well financially,
and it just happened really quickly.
I was blessed, and my name was getting out there.
I don't know, maybe I had 50,000 followers,
not like that matter,
but that's where I was at, like, in the process,
and a good friend of mine hit me up,
and a guy who's a good friend, he's a good dude,
and he hit me up, and he said, dude, you're killing it.
You found who you are.
This is who you are.
I think this is what you're supposed to be.
But I think that you should drop the God stuff,
and I was like, why?
And he goes, well, from a business standpoint,
he said, you're gonna understand.
There's a lot of people that don't believe in that.
And I think you're gonna be able,
you're gonna like lose some business because of it.
And I said, bro, like that's the point.
Like, I'm not changing for people.
I don't care, bro.
Like, you know what I mean, I'm like,
and I posted that video of me talking about.
And it's funny, I watched it the other day,
I was like, man, that's crazy, how that happened.
And I have no doubt in my mind that some of the success
has because we honor God.
Yeah, it's not a ruse.
We're not perfect.
I guess like a sailor and then people
like you cut so much like, bro, people tell me
I'm not a good Christian because I cuss.
And I just laugh because I'm like,
I'm not trying to reach you.
Like I needed, I needed someone when I was at my low
to talk about God and probably drop some fucking F-bombs.
And maybe it would have caught my attention.
And I would have been like, man, I relate to that guy.
And he's a man of God, which means I could be too.
It's like you guys don't get it, man.
I'm looking, I'm trying to reach the guys
that don't know God, maybe feel they don't deserve God.
Yeah, yeah.
And now they know they do deserve God.
'Cause God's always there, bro.
We just walk away from him.
He never walks away from us, you know?
And it's funny like your buddy,
I had people tell me the same thing.
Like you talk a lot about sobriety, talk a lot about God.
Like that could affect your business.
It's like, no, bro, I don't care.
This isn't about, this isn't all business.
This is like the impact that I wanna leave.
Yeah, this is who the fuck I am.
Jimmy Queen is this.
I don't fake it on any front.
And I'm not gonna bend the knee and steer away
from who I am to get leads, bro.
That's gonna lose me clientele.
Fucking good.
You don't just, I don't want you on my team.
I don't need you all prognos there, that's it, bro.
Like, whatever, dude, you don't know me then.
Yeah, don't care about that.
And the thing is like, whether it's, I tell people,
I talk about God and my team on almost every single Zoom call.
We have, I don't expect them to believe in God,
but foundationally, this is who I am.
And this is, you guys are coming to me for help.
You guys are coming to me for advice.
How am I not gonna talk about the one thing
that has led the biggest impact in my life?
How do I not share that with you?
Dude, if you believe in something else,
I respect you 100%.
I will never tell you what to believe in.
Same with sobriety, dude, like people are like,
well, not everyone's sober.
No, not everyone is sober,
but everyone could fucking benefit from sobriety.
If you could tell me in one area of your life
or substance is gonna help you grow,
I'll fucking wait right now.
It's supposed to even lift away from you.
You want to get in shape, you want to excel in business,
you want to improve on your marriage,
where is booze gonna help?
You don't need to have an alcohol problem
to realize that alcohol isn't serving you
and you don't have time in a place for it.
'Cause the one thing we don't get,
and I don't care how much money you have,
you don't get time back.
So where does booze fit in?
And if you struggle with trying to remove booze
for 30 to 60 to 90 days,
maybe you have a fucking bigger issue
than you thought you did.
You know what I mean, right?
- Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- Well, I deserve to have a drink.
Well, bro, if you're planning your Fridays
to have a drink,
and even though you don't drink my day through Thursday,
maybe it has a little bit more of a hold on you
than you thought it did,
because you're waiting for Friday to get loose again.
You know, like, I don't,
you don't need to be sober to be on my team,
do I talk about it?
Yeah, because it's gonna benefit you.
- But because you're sober,
don't you, is it like the majority of people are sober?
- A lot of them.
- Yeah, 'cause I would think that's like the most.
- And a lot of them are trying to at least.
- Or they're trying to,
or they're willing to be sober like, dude,
you sign up with me, you're making an investment,
you're spending money.
So do you, what's, I tell everybody,
what's your 100%?
I can't tell you what your 100% is.
Only you can answer that,
and you have to be fucking honest with yourself, dude.
So look yourself in the mirror,
ask who you are and what you want in life.
You just paid me to give you a blueprint.
I'm here to help you.
If you're gonna drink, that's on you.
But don't tell me if you're not getting the results you want,
you already fucking know one thing you're not doing
that's getting in the way.
- We know this already, so remove it.
- And it doesn't have to be permanent,
but bro, if you got,
if you have some weight that you're really trying to lose,
bro, I'll call setting you back to worst.
- Dude, they say you have three to five drinks
that's gonna prevent you from burning fat
for up to 72 hours.
You drink twice a week,
there's six days in the week you're not burning fat.
- Well, especially what I do in carnivore.
You can't drink, dude.
- No, I can't drink.
- 'Cause I have people, can I have a few drinks?
I said, yeah, if you don't want it to work.
- Yeah.
- It's ketosis, it's no sugar.
It turns into sugar, your buddy.
But I mean, people, I would say most people were kind of,
I guess most were sober, but I assume people weren't.
- I don't care about that, man.
I don't care.
I think that the craziest part is the deems that we get to,
we get a lot of hate mail, whatever dude,
like that's so stupid, it's funny.
We read our comments, it's fun.
- My wife checked my phone last night.
I was laying on my leg and I was asleep.
It was like unlocked, so she grabs it to lock it
and she goes, "Dude, this dude was like,
"motherfucking you so hard."
- Yeah, I just talk and shit, but it's like, expect that.
- Magical people, dude.
- Yeah, I was like, I just, I mean,
there's times that sometimes if I'm tired,
it gets to me a little bit more.
- Not gets to me, I'm just, I just get sick of it,
dude, like shit.
- I just, I just think you're all right, dude.
- Yeah, I do, dude.
- It's like whatever, you learn to just keep your mouth shut.
- Yeah.
- It's a, I want to, sometimes I'm like,
we're going to fire back and I'm like,
I'm not giving them that.
I don't want to give them the power.
- I don't want to give them the gratification
of that kind of mind.
- This point, they want to get you all heated.
- Yeah, you know.
- Stereoid, stereoid, shit.
- It's always that, dude.
I can be talking about God and family.
- Yeah, this post is about food, bro.
- It goes to trend and something else.
I'm like, bro, how did you--
- I'm a new liver team, bro.
- How did you listen to that message
that I just said and get trend and growth
and all these other things out of, like, bro,
you're on the flip side of that, man?
- I know you get this, too.
Some of the people, you know,
this is not offensive to anybody.
Some people out there are just in such a dark spot
or whether it be depression,
whether it be anything in their life, whatever.
And our real, which is inspiring,
'cause I think that's our heart, lit a fire in them
and they have decided to change.
I get it all the time where it's like trips me out.
- It is, I'm eating, I've been eating you like now
and it's like, it's such a blessing, though,
because I mean, 'cause I used to post 'em
and every once in a while I like to show people like,
you can do it, too, man, like there's rad people out there
and people don't see that, man.
Like, you have a, we have a way.
The cool thing about social media that I love,
there's pros and cons, is we can touch people
in the whole freaking world.
- Yeah.
- You know, even on a podcast today where Austria, Australia,
we're touching people in a way, and that's rad, man.
- It reaches far, dude, it reaches far.
I wanna talk a little bit about thank you.
- What's the genesis of that?
When did you start it?
Was that in the beginning?
- I started it, we launched January of 2025.
- Okay, so it's been going on for just over a year now.
- You're in four months, five years.
- Where did that come from?
- Dude, it was, I knew I wanted to do clothing, right?
But then it was like, okay, like, what am I gonna call it?
- Yeah.
- I'm like, trying to think of a name and I'm like,
I just wrote down thank you and I'm like, this is it.
My wife's like, why thank you?
I'm like, bro, people are gonna read it, see it, say it,
and when you say it out loud, you're gonna,
without even intentionally knowing,
you're already gonna feel gratitude, you know?
And that's just something, that's a message I wanna push
because, dude, no matter what in life,
you have something to be thankful for.
You just do, you know, like you opened your eyes, bro.
You should be grateful, you know what I mean.
- Even if that's all you know.
- Yeah, so this is the last one, but if I didn't.
So if I'm working with a guy,
that's super jacked and you can't find any type of gratitude, I said listen man, here's a deal.
When your feet hit that floor, when you go to take a piss or go to head on the coffee, whatever,
I want you to think of everything that you're grateful for. Yeah. Breath in your lungs,
feet on the floor. You just slept in a bed. Dratitude list and then whatever. It's not a ghost.
Reboot your mind. It does. Reboot your mind before anything. Or if it's somebody that's, you know,
I would deal with guys are more overweight because I, I like, I was going for people,
men over 40 where they got a little bit overweight. And, you know, there was a lot of them that just
man food is a problem, dude. Sugar was a problem. Like all the bad food and I would say listen,
we're going to start with a little wins. Little wins compound. Let's say we're going to start,
we're going to start, we're going to put your alarm clock early where it stinks. And we're going to
never hit snooze again because that's what that's where I started. Yeah. And if you wake up at nine,
wherever they woke up, I want you to set it to you two hours back because that's going to be hard
for you. I want you to never hit snooze again. I want you to write it down. First, I would say,
when you'd write it down, I'm going to lose this much weight and I want to put it in your wallet.
Yeah, send me a picture. Yeah. And then for those people, I would say, never hit snooze again,
and we're going to do that for a week. And I would just, it's little wins. It would compound.
And then what happens after a week? I can do it. Yeah. Hold the momentum builds, dude. Like,
it's mandatory on my team too. Like write down three things you're grateful for. So a gratitude list.
And six, not negotiables for the day. Yeah. Six. It's not hard, dude. They don't need to be crazy.
The thing is, as people set these goals and then, you know, they're high, right? This is my
main goal in life. Well, bro, if you're looking at just that goal, it's a very tall hill to climb.
And you're going to feel defeated. That's why you call them like small wins compound. I call
micro wins. You need to have micro wins throughout your day because those build momentum. And when
you build momentum, you build belief. And when you believe in yourself, did you could fucking do
anything? Yeah. If you do that for a week, the two weeks, whatever, whether you see it or not,
you're confidence. Yeah. Oh, I can't do this. Now, and that's kind of coaching, dude. It's like
that's been the rap part. It takes no talent. Oh, yeah. Go to Jim Lipwood. There's no talent.
Like, you just have to be consistent. This isn't football. So you don't need to have a natural
born talent to make it in fitness. You just have to show up every day. But when you, when it catches
you, you're up to it. I was, I mean, I was hooked from the first bar, the first bench press in
eighth grade. I was like, done. Yeah. I worked out all the right school, dude. I loved it.
I never understood people that work out. Well, how many things in life can you do where the work is
solely on you? And you'll get like what people don't understand, like the results you'll get from
fitness is faster than anything else really in life. Like you started business. It could take
you years to see a dollar in profit fitness. It's like, pro, if you give it a hundred percent,
that's why I asked people, what is your hundred percent? Yeah. Because if you give it a hundred
percent, dude, and your hundred percent is going to increase every single week because you get
better everywhere. You were finding every week, getting up early is easier tomorrow than it was
yesterday, hitting your macros, prepping your food, starting to gain mind muscle connection.
And the gym, all these things you're improving on. So your hundred percent is going to continue
to rise. And all of a sudden, you like look at yourself and you're like, holy shit, I could do
this. And again, when you start to believe in yourself, anything's really possible, dude,
you know, and that's the thing. How is how important do you think that is with the men that you
surround yourself with? I think it's massive. You got to surround yourself with the right people,
dude. Like the thing is, is the wrong people in life will take you down just as fast as substance
as well. It's it's, you know, and the right people, I have a lot of, I have a very diverse group of
people in my life. Some people are years older than me. And I love being around that man because
they're smarter than me. They have more experience than me. One of my buddies when I actually started
social media, he's 50. He's very successful. And I look up to him in a lot of ways because he's
done everything himself, you know, and he's built this life for himself and his family. And it's
so commendable. But he told me in a very beginning, like, dude, get ready to lose some friends. I'm
like, what are you talking about? Lose friends. I ride or die with my people. But dude, like, you
know, there's going to be those people. And I already expected it, but people were going to talk
shit. And people started it, but I did. I knew like growing up and surfing, you don't post shit
with your shirt off. Like, you don't, if you're like, if you're a surfer, you don't post surfing
pictures or you're at Cooke, you know, because like the boys are going to give you shit. You let
other people post for you, you know, like, and my dad always kind of told me like, let things speak
for themselves. Talk about yourself. Let your surfing speak for itself. Well, when you're trying
to start a business, you have to post yourself. So for me, that was like a, I had her like, drop my
ego on what people were going to say and think about me and post regardless. And some people
fucking hated it, dude, like that I that I've known my whole life. Like they were like running their
mouths all the time. And before that would have kept that was hard for me to digest. Yeah, me too.
I had to go through some really. Yeah. But I was ready for this time. Like, I think that's why
again, like seven years ago or so, I don't, I think I would have cave. I think I would have been to,
I think I would have cared too much about other people. And it would have affected my own personal
growth. And you can't chase validation. Again, you can't give a fuck. Yeah. You got to know, dude,
this is my life. This is my family. This is you're not paying my bills. This is you only get one
shock, dude. You don't get, you don't get practice running life and you don't get timebacks. So
at the end of the day, when you're like laying in your casket, bro, and you look back at your life,
you're gone, man, I should have could have won it. No, fuck that. The biggest thing for me,
like we're we're on a podcast right now, which is rat, right? I spent so much time listening
to podcasts. I would be in Mexico one day, Arizona the next day, stocked in the next day,
building trains, dude, the only way to kill time on those drives is podcast. And for me, it was like,
dude, Joe Rogan, all these, you listen, all these people, and you hear all these stories,
and they're like, they're fucking amazing and they're inspiring. And I'm hearing people do these
things with their lives. And then one day, I'm like, when the fuck am I going to write my story?
I love it, dude. I'm listening to all these stories. I'm motivated. I'm inspired. What am I doing?
Nothing. I'm not I'm doing the same thing. I'm just waiting for the next story. And I literally
was like, when am I going to write my own story? And I don't want to tell my kids how to live
their life. I want to show them, dude. Dad chased his fucking dreams. You know, like, how am I
going to tell my daughters to go out and conquer the world? And I didn't. And I didn't. Oh, man,
dude. I'm like, bro, it's not type of stuff all the time. Don't do his ice. It's the whole
one. You know, as I say, not as I do, like, bro, become what they see. Yeah. Period.
100% are daughters of daughter, too. They're, it doesn't matter. What was your girls? They're
going to become what they see. How are you going to tell your kid eat right? How are you going
to tell your child to be on time? How are you going to all these things that are going to tell you
if you don't do that? Yeah. I mean, they're going to be dead stuck, dude, whatever. Yeah.
I got a cool story for you about the whole, like, talking shit and stuff.
So, you know, because like, when my friend succeed, I'm not lying when I say this, like,
out of convenience, because we're sitting here talking about it. I'm fucking stoked for you, dude.
Yeah. Like, that's freaking rad, man. I'm cheering for you, man. And I guess I just thought
everybody was like that. So when I started finding some success and some notoriety, you know, like,
one, you're trying to figure out what's real. I'm going places that people are noticing me everywhere.
And like, yeah, that's all I got. You know, I'm like, what is happening? You know, and like,
and the people that thought what it supported me didn't, not only didn't support me were talking shit
I was hearing. So I did that kind of kind of kind of, I was trying to digest it, man. And I remember,
I was going to some shit and like, channels doing the well, but I'm like, I got a kick rocks, dude.
I got my family. We went to Cabo. I just need to get away. And I get up early. I spend an hour
of myself and God. It's non-negotiable. It's my time. I've had the best ideas of my life,
if I was for some hour. I mean, Cabo, now I'm just on a beach, listening to the wage crashes. I'm
doing it. My, my bride and my kids are sleeping. And I'm looking for what's, like, why is this
happening? I was praying like, like, God, help me find some, like, what's the reason? Like, you
know, why is this happening? Why are people in a love talking shit? And I came back and I didn't
get the answer, you know? And so three days after I got back, I was sitting outside in my backyard.
And, you know, feet on the ground. And I just prayed. And so I'm just doing my meditation for
me, which is something that I let myself think. Three days later. And I swear to God,
Jamie, I'm not even lying. I heard God's voice. No, it sounds crazy. And it said, I'm taking you
somewhere and I need you light. And I was like, oh, my God. And that was before I channeled,
really took off. Yeah. And if I look backwards now, oh, my gosh, like, where am I,
my life is at now? I'm taking, like, God, heard the conversations, bro. He was like, you know,
they come in with you, bro. Like, you won't, like, I'm like, I'm, I'm bringing you, you're going
somewhere, taking you somewhere, you know, and like, soon after that, like, like you said, like,
you listened to podcasts. So did I. Like, like, Unwook was like a spawn of lines on that sheep.
I love Sean Whalen and didn't know him. But I'm like, I hit him up. Just not even thinking he
would blow me up or even respond. And I said, Hey, man, I would love you to come on podcast. He
gave me a back right away. He's like, I've been, I've been following you forever. I love your shit.
I'm like, what the hell? So I'm, let's do a podcast. I flew out. I'm in his living room.
Like, he's my brother. Like, like, like, dude's in a real, you know, and that's how that stuff
happens, dude. And it's cool. Um, because we do believe to be here when you stay true to you,
you attract those people. It's a lot of time that you looked up to and listened to. He already
followed you and he respected you because you stay true to you. Dude, I went on your podcast
last month. I fucking walked out of your office. I told my wife. I'm like, JD's spot is fucking
sick. I got a fucking, I love it. I got a warehouse. That week, that week, I said, I said, damn,
real fucking, I know you did. I've been talking about wanting to do a podcast for a while. It's
something that I've had people come up to me and like, dude, you really need to do it. It's great
for long format content. I want to be able to speak on all these other things. Thank you.
You need to think. But I'm like, bro, I just dropped so much money on my backyard building house.
one is that the time ever right. I'm gonna fuck it dude. My wife found a place first place we saw
done. Got it. Whatever. Well, but I was because I was dude, I saw what you're doing. I'm motivated.
Bro, yeah, dude. I did like you could see what other people are doing and compare and not doing
like negative and fucking hate on them or be like, dude, JD spots super sick. Well, I want a sick spot.
I'm going to go fucking do it. You know, I'm like, I've articulated it in different ways. So we've
leveled. Yeah. Say you're not. We've leveled. And most people just like that comfortable box.
I'm going to live paycheck to paycheck. I'm going to struggle to get by. And I'm so comfortable.
Does that's even schoolteaches us to not think and just stay here. And then people decide to go up
here and they're like floating around for a while, but that law of attraction connects them. Yeah.
And these people want to do big fucking shit. Yeah, that's what we're a big shit. Let's get
where we're texting each other. Yeah, bro, like I'm always about that. I want to be around. My brain's
going everywhere all the time. Bro, like you play a scene. That's my, my, my business part. I'm like,
dude, but she did such as like bro. I got all these ideas. Bro, the people that work with me are like,
you need to calm the fuck down. Oh my God. I can't. We have the ability. That's what I said to you.
We have the ability because of our reach to affect people in a way. And I believe that's the
purpose. Yeah. Like to, dude, like I believe that we can change the world by kindness, love,
lifted people up and our children raising children that are now and tell you, yeah, there's a
lot of freaking mess. 100%. So we can change the trajectory of it by like the cool that we have.
Guys that are tatted up that have been through some shit and now have a microphone and now are
speaking like, when you do those things and you do them with the foundation that you just said,
you go from like, you're not like an influencer. Yeah. You know, like it was crazy, bro. Like
I was just talking of my, one of my videographers, she's like films content for me all the time,
especially for thank you. She's so talented, but she was just talking to a friend. I forget what
state they were in, but like he sober and he hit her up. He's like, dude, I followed this dude,
Jimmy Queen. I just, she's like laughing, you know. So she's like letting him talk and he's like,
dude, there's all these other influencers like this at another. They all act the same, do the same.
But he said, she said something to me today. It tricked me out, but she was like, he didn't call
you an influencer. He said, you were like a public figure. I'm like, damn, that's, that's fucking
humble. You know, that's cool. That's just by me staying true to like my core believes in who I am
and what I want to do. And it's like, it's a spirit. I want to leave a positive impact, dude.
You know, I want to leave an impact to where like when I do leave this world, I go, you know what?
Like I, I, the only person I ever followed was God. Yeah. You can't, you can't lead and follow
at the same time. There's one you should follow. He's up there. If you're trying to follow everyone
else on earth, dude, like you're going to get lost and your journey's not going to mean anything
and you're never going to reach your true potential. Like people that want to do things like
as soon as I left your podcast, I went and got a warehouse. Why? Because you have to make a decision
and commit to it. It starts with the decision. And you have to be around men 100% better.
I say it all the time. I love the saying, if you want to get in the right room,
you better have a damn good knock meeting. They, they, you need to be, you need to contribute
something different. You need to be able to like, you know what I mean? Like, surround yourself with
people that like I can't hang around with guys that aren't going anywhere anymore. Not in the judgment.
That's right. If you're comfortable there, like I'm going places. One same with their
core beliefs, dude. Like I pull up the seat at the table. Like I feel like so many men now
are willing to sit at a table because they see what those men have. Materialistic wise,
you know, they're checking the watch. They're checking the car. And they want to sit at that table.
I'm like, fuck yeah, I don't care to sit at that table. Bro, that ain't for me. You know, like,
I'll sit at the table with you. Look, cut off shirt. You got a nice watch. Cut off shirt tattoos.
And it's it's God fitness family. It's like, bro, those are the people that I want to say,
but those are the people that I want to surround myself with. I don't. Dude, the flashy bullshit
is just bullshit. Well, the watch is because I can wear my shirts like that's what I want.
And see you. So what people don't, here's the kind of a cool story, man. So, uh, when I got
sober, I got it. I'm a changed man. Yeah. And like, I was in the mortgage industry. And, uh,
after a year, it took me to do a good job. Now I'm back in the mortgage industry where I've been.
And, uh, my sponsor said, if you want to be successful, you have to be willing to do it.
Success will be to do. And I didn't just let that go in one ear and out the other,
embraced it. And it has been the mantra of my life. And the reason I'm telling you that is this,
I'm in the mortgage industry. Now I'm like, I'm a study money. And I said, studying it.
Where does it come from? How does it work? Federal Reserve. My mind, that's when I went down the
rabble. Holy fuck, you know, but I learned it. Now I'm a better banker because I have, like,
knowledge and I know how it works. So then I studied more. I want to know where I want to make
put my money. So I studied where to invest, right? So now I learned how to invest because it took
hours and hours and hours of time to do that. Now I've made some investments. My parents are going
to be doing well. Yeah. Because I spent the time on that. And then I'm going to the watching. So
I bought a bunch of Bitcoin years ago. And I've been buying every day for years. That was because I
spent time and made educated decisions on that stuff. Lastly, the watch thing. So I've been buying
watches, not because I'm flashy. Yeah. Because they're investments. You can take a loan out. Yeah.
No taxes on Rolex. And I can wear them. I know. I know. I know. And I was like, when I bought,
I had zero intentions of buying it. I bought it. Dude, I just bought a fucking house. I was like,
I am not want to do like I was raised to save every dollar you have. Dude, in high school,
my sock drawer had 50 grand cash in it. Well, you know, like I didn't fucking spend money.
In high school, I drove a 1990 Volvo. People thought I was fucking broke. I had more cash
than most people. And I was making money. But I never wanted to show it because I didn't need
people. I didn't want people to know I had money. So like the Rolex thing, the materialistic things,
it's like, that's one thing. When I walked into the, I want to happy jewelers gave, dude, he's
like, I'll give you the watch for this. And I'm like, whoa, I saw like the price tag on it. I'm like,
okay, this is an investment. You know, like you can take a loan out of that watch for the price
watch. And you don't pay taxes on it. But that's, that was the point. Yeah. It's, that's why I'm
buying watches, not because I'm flashy, but people don't realize they'll take it as that. But whatever.
They don't depreciate them. Yeah. So they're going to go up. Yeah. How about the Pepsi? This one
up 15 grand. Yeah. I'm not, I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about being educated. 100%
money is a tool. That's the thing. Like what I, what I meant was like when I was raised to save
every dollar, you can't make it in this world today. My parents were able to. They were able to save
every dollar. They bought their house for 250 grand. The house has worked two million now. Dude,
you can't get to two million with money in your sock drawer, dude. You have to invest your money
and know how to spend your money. And especially if you want to grow business and to scale your
business, you need to invest in your business. And from the beginning, dude, up until again,
like social media has been a blessing for me because it's forced me to do uncomfortable things.
Oh, yeah. But it also taught me to believe in myself and trust my instincts. And my instincts
have been better, have treated me much better than what other people's have. You know, I used
to listen to other people and all that ever did was keep me from doing the things that I wanted
to do. Yeah. Because it put doubt in my mind. Like, oh, fuck, JD doesn't believe in. Thank you.
Yeah, yeah. So I'm not going to start it. And they would hold me back. Dude, again, tell you
this, bro, if I tell anybody about like a goal, it's like a big, like a big thing and they're like,
shooting down. I'm not hearing all those people. No, I said, yeah, let's do those to them all off.
You know, that sounds cool. You should do that. You said, babe, I'm getting a warehouse. That's
what I want to handle people like that. Let's look like need to do that too. Like my buddy listens to
this podcast. He'll laugh because he's talked shit on me from the very beginning, but he's not behind
my back. Like, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Like, dude, difference. That's totally different. He's like, you're fucking cringey. Dude, I don't want
to see it. I'm like, well, unfollow me, dude. Yeah. Right. He's like, no, just start another
Instagram. I'm like, I'm not starting another Instagram. He doesn't watch it. Yeah. I'm like,
just unfollow me. Yeah. Right. You know, so he's always, but it's out. He loves me. And he's told
me over and over how he gets better from the talk. He's told me how proud. Yeah. So we go surf
yesterday. We're getting out of our wet suits. And this lady's like, holy fuck, it's Jimmy Queen.
She's with her son. She's like, my husband's gonna be pissed. He's on the beach.
We were just talking about wondering if we would run into you because we're headed down to
the pier and here you are. And I'm like, let me, she's like, can I take a photo? I'm like, yeah,
let me get my wet suit off. I'm like, naked, dude. Yeah. You know, so she looks at my friend.
She's like, can you take the photo? Love him. And he takes the photo and she walks away. And he's
like, you're fucking famous. And I'm like, he just figured that out. No, he's everywhere we go.
Yeah. Yeah. I get jammed up, but he's, but he's like, you're famous. And I don't even understand
what you do. And I, like, again, I'm about to talk and shit, but he goes, dude, I'm so proud of
you because he goes, I didn't, I didn't get it. And if you're looking for like validation,
if you're expecting people to tell you, go for it or a good job, you're doing great in the
beginning. Dude, you're never, you got to fucking believe your vision is your vision. Like,
I knew the hardest thing. Clothing is one of the hardest things in the world, dude. It's,
I do it because I love it. Again, I did not start thank you to make money. I started it because I,
I enjoy it. I love, I love art. I do all the designs. I have fun with the photo shoots. It's
building and growing with my wife. I hired my brother-in-law. I hired my sister. I hired friends
that are videographers. I only work within a network of people that I love and trust. And it's
been able to provide for their lives. That's cool. And then like the message behind thank you. Like,
I think we've gotten, dude, Huntington used to be about fucking respect. That was like, dude,
you weren't allowed to surf the pier if you didn't have respect. And I just feel like the younger
generations have gotten so far away from treating people, right? Dude, and it's so crazy.
A simple, a simple like that lady coming up to in the parking lot telling you that,
a simple thank you to someone who could be like, just be kind. Just be kind. And it's like that,
That message, that impact, that thank people love it, do their site.
300 thank you tattoos. I like it. It's Brad. You know, bro, like the first time I saw like so many
send in the tattoo or you read it, I'm like, whoa, no, it's like you're seeing a bunch. I'm like,
yeah, you like my brand. Yeah, and it's like you're leaving. Thank you. You're leaving an
impact behind. You know, and it's like, that's a big room. Yeah. And that, but it's, it's, again,
I told a few people, they're like, what would you call on the, your company? I'm like,
oh, it's going to be thank you. Collective. They're like, what does that mean? I'm like, don't worry
about it. It's my vision. Yeah, you know, I'll let it all show you just a brand, you know,
that's the branding. And we're in an hour or so sucks. And we'll do it again, bro,
because we get along. But that's the branding. It's you. I get it. I get it. I see thank you everywhere.
I'm like, I was going to give you guys. I'm like, oh, I was like, what are you doing? It's
just guys. Warrior makers is everything that you talk about, bro. Like, like, look at what
the name is. Everything you've built, like, dude, you've had to be a warrior in life to make it.
I believe you got what you want to do with one of us. That's the Genesis of it. I'm like,
men just have let a good dormant. It's happening in that spirit. And you got to wake him up.
You're a godly man. Yeah. And like, you know, like, don't cheat on your wife.
Anybody can cheat on their wife. Like, be a man of integrity. You know, by our flower,
sometimes I'm just old school shit, dude. Yeah. Teach your kids out of be a man, dude. Period.
By showing them, not by telling them, you know, like, that's everything. Last one on this, man.
Where do you go from here? So you got thank you, cruising. What's next for Jimmy Queen? You got the
warehouse. So got the warehouse podcast is firing off. Uh, drill wellness is doing great.
You have tied company. Um, Jimmy Queen team for me. My, my goal is to just build the biggest
baddest community. There is like the brotherhood and the fellowship right now is absolutely
through the roof. We do fellowship calls. We do testimony call. I do a Sunday reset.
The people on my team have become my best friends. Yeah. And that, that in itself,
it could never grow. And I would be more than happy with what that's done. I think he's
going to go, I have a lot of work on thank you this year. Now that we have the warehouse,
now that we have the room, we're going to expand and do a lot more with it. And then I need to get
you on my podcast as soon as we find out. Yeah, 100% bro. Yeah. You know, I think that helped out,
you took that away from here. I don't compete. No, I already want to like just do big shit and like
thinking big, do big, get a warehouse, watch how fast you grow. It's going to kill it. I mean,
I see how you guys pull like the people at your little things. I never had to have one of those
organizations. Yeah, pull, but you got to do it. Yeah. I got a nonprofit, dude. I should bring
up. So it's going to be, it's thank you since forever. My goal, I've got just like you, like,
there's so much in life that I'm so grateful for. I've been wanting to start a nonprofit. Thank you
will fund some of the money. So like, thank you will be the for profit. It'll fund some of the money
for the nonprofit. My goal is to throw some massive fucking events with the money raised. What I'm
going to do is I just got hired within the Huntington Beach School District. So I'm like a specialized
employee. I'm going to start with Valley Vista. They don't have like a weight room. They're trying
to start a they're trying to start a weightlifting team. Well, they don't have any of the right
equipment. I've thrown events for people on my team in need and I've done really well at it. So
my problem is, yeah, so my goal is to yeah, but yeah, we'll talk for sure. So like, I'm going to
throw an event raise money. I'm going to build them a fucking gym and then I plan on doing that
around for every school. So whether whether they don't have a gym will build them a gym if they're
baseball program or football program needs help. I just want to throw events be surrounded by great
people have fun raise money and kick back to the kids because everything like we were saying throughout
this podcast is the younger generations that are going to run this world and everybody needs an
outlet, dude. So if you could be off the phone, off the streets, not doing drugs, let them wear
sports. Oh, dude, look at us. Yeah, dude. That's what we needed. So like that's my whole goal for like
my platform that God's given me. I want to leave an impact for the kids dude. And that's going to be
that's like my passion project. Love it. So Jimmy Queen. You're going to see that last name.
Gotta say the last name. Jimmy Queen. It's been fun, man. We'll do it many times. So we're going to
do it again. I think big. You think big. Well, we got a lot of stuff I think coming where your
makers would love to be involved in that, uh, if you want. And 100% built up. We're in that school.
Well, so I would love it. Yeah. So good stuff. You guys, that is a podcast for today. I'm sure you
enjoyed it. Remember this. Your warrior act like one. And remember to say thank you. Bow.
