The conversation begins with lighthearted banter about the erratic spring weather, including rain and a chance of late snow. The hosts then share an amusing story about a potentially awkward lunch with a coworker, speculating that a colleague who coincidentally appeared was a pre-arranged "bail-out" plan. The main segment features a caller, Barrett, who confesses to taking a bag of leftovers from a stranger's restaurant table and serving it to his date on their next meeting, which ended the relationship. This leads the hosts to discuss their own embarrassing moments of being cheap, like wearing oversized golf shoes. The dialogue shifts to lamenting the high cost and poor quality of modern lobster rolls, contrasting it with memories of past abundance and affordability. The segment concludes with a brief call from a health department worker before ending.

>> What a five seven W R O R with Bob and LBF in the morning. >> 80s, 90s and more variety all day long. >> It's the first day of spraying and I couldn't be more excited. I mean, I've been, I'm ready. I'm ready to get outside. >> Yeah, well, you're not going to be able to smell to cigar. >> No, well, it's not. >> Not probably better for you, but you're not going to get outside much because it's going to rain today, tomorrow, Sunday, Monday. And then it might snow on Friday. >> Can we have a day? Can we just have a day? >> Where, you know. >> My phone is so negative. >> Yeah, you have negative. >> Like my phone, my weather app on my phone is like a big, blank you every morning. >> I'm showing you a slight chance of rain showers. >> Well, you know, your computer is in a better mood than my phone, apparently. >> Aaron, can I make a bold prediction? >> Yeah. >> Oh, no. >> We're done with snow. >> You think so? >> We're done. >> We're done. >> We're done. >> We're done. >> When are you done? >> Put the shovels away, everybody. >> Right? >> Ice scraper is away. >> It's just the same thing that God's done. >> I remember I worked with somebody who did the same exact thing and we had like this snow McGead in the situation in April. It was nuts. >> Oh. >> But it was all his fault. >> It's his fault. >> Yeah. >> I'll take it. >> Okay. >> We're done. >> Anyway, I hope you're right. You have 54 today. So I was thinking of walking the lake. Headlunch. >> Yeah, take a long walk on the short pier. >> There's no pier. It's unlike one apart. >> Oh, too bad. >> Now you just have to wave right here. >> Just have to wave. >> Just have to look forward about that. >> Hey. >> I just found a body in that lake too. That was where he was missing. >> Oh. >> Oh, you hear about that? >> Oh, yeah. There were signs all around the lake the past few times we've walked it. There was a missing man. And I hate to say this. I'm not trying to make light of it. >> Oh, my God. >> But my wife said he's probably in the lake. And that's where they found him this week. >> It's a mystery. >> Sherry, can we talk about something else? >> No, I'm just saying. >> Can we talk about something more pleasant, please? >> Yeah, but I'm just saying, you know, that's where I'm going. But it is kind of eerie to go to that lake now knowing they just dragged. So. >> It took a turn. >> I'll turn it back. >> Anything else? >> I had lunch with a coworker. >> Okay, good, yes. >> Lunch, slash. It was lunch. Lunch, lunch, like 11 o'clock. >> Lunch. >> So let me throw this at you. And in sum, we think it was one of those lunches with a coworker where they found the idea comes up as, and everyone thinks it's great, he has to lunch sometime. Then you put it off, put it off, put it off. So finally you do it, right? Because it's like, let's just do it. And so he's a famous personality in town. I want to say any names. >> Okay. >> So tell me to think this is weird. Half way, more than half way through lunch brunch, a fellow coworker of the same station walks up to our table. Like he's just happens to be popped in and surprised to see it's right of all the restaurants. >> And all the gin joints here. >> He comes in and then it occurred to me. >> He was saving him. He was the bail guy. >> Oh my god, I've done this with my friends on dates. >> Did you do that? >> Yeah, I'd be like, okay, I'm going to be a TGI Friday. All right, I'm going to be there from five. You come in at six and be like, hey, what's up? And then if I give you the signal, you're going to save me. That's what he was there for. And I think, well, because my friend ate very fast. So I think they wanted to. >> They wanted to get the sign. >> I think he did. And then the other guy comes in and I think it was, like you said, in case he wanted to get bailed, he could either join us or he could say, hey, there's a problem. We need you back at the station. >> Oh my god, this is amazing to me. >> Yeah. >> What happened? >> Well, he ate so fast we were done. So it was over. >> Did you lock out two? >> Yeah. >> Who? >> No, we did. Yeah, we -- >> What happened to the coworker? >> Go worker. >> He just pretended he was going to have breakfast and he stayed in the waiting area for a friend. >> Oh my god. >> So he was waiting for you guys to leave before you could go. >> Yeah, too far. >> What do I want to pull that thread? What do you think? Why? >> I just think he probably thought, I have nothing to say to Bob. You know, other than hallway chatter, I don't want to be sitting across from for an hour. >> I think that's what it was. Because we have hallway chatter. >> And then how did it -- did the hallway chatter sort of evolve over? >> It was great. >> Did you have a nice conversation? >> We had a nice conversation. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Did you complain about work? >> Your name came up. >> Okay. >> Well, I'll leave it at that. Yeah. >> When I say, did you complain about work, your name came up. >> You did. >> Interesting. Okay. >> But I didn't complain about you. >> Oh, okay. >> I did not. >> He's had people he's worked with in the past that he was not so friendly with. And I said -- >> Oh, you guys had that in common. >> No, I didn't. >> No, I didn't think of it. >> No, I said, "LBS great. We have never had any issues." >> We never have any issues. >> And that's what I know. Have you want to air them now? >> No, I have no issues at all. I'm happy. >> Okay. >> But I really think it's funny that that person showed up. >> Yeah. >> I'm going to have to find out more about this off the air. >> Do leave that alone now. >> Okay. >> We'll never do much. >> Okay. Okay, yeah, let's give away some stuff. >> Because he invited me to golf down the road. So -- >> Oh, my God. >> So I think you had the fancy club that you tried to pay for and he keeps telling you not to pay for it? >> Yes. >> But that's a good sign, right? You know? >> Where's that exit strategy? Yeah, let's go golf and buy my money. >> Yeah, bye-bye. >> All right. We'll leave it at that anyway. Aren't you proud of me that I said how talented you were? >> I didn't. I didn't say that. >> Wow. I was getting to it. You just said you know he's stifled me. She's funny. >> She's funny. >> Listen, today's the last day for your chance to get tickets to see the day Matthews Bandix Fintany Center. Friday, June 12th, beer at eight o'clock. We're going to give you the first code word that you enter at WRWAR.com. It will do it again at 10 noon, 3 and 5. So five chances. Last day to get these tickets, he's going to be at Xfintany Center Friday, June 12th. >> Start your day with Bob and LVF in the morning. >> Then get through the work day with 80s, 90s and more variety all day long. >> 105, 7WR. >> Hey, spring, by the way. He said 1046 this morning. You excited about that LVF? >> Yes. >> Spring will sprung. No, something like that. >> Spring, spring, a beautiful thing. The bird starts to sing and I know it's spring. That was my poem in first grade that won the prize. >> Congratulations. But what did you get for that? Bag of touchy rolls or something? >> No, I just bragging rights now. >> For the rest of your life. >> For the rest of my life. I mean, you know, like whatever, Robert Frost, E.E. Cummings, me. >> Yeah. >> A little Lauren Beckham. Okay, we have Barrett on the phone. He says there's no shame in his game and you guys decide for yourself with that. Okay, good morning, Barrett. >> Good morning. >> Like that name, by the way. >> Thanks, Barrett. >> Excellent. >> You can grin in Barrett, you know what I mean? >> Yeah. >> Why are you looking at like that, LVF? >> I hope he's not in prison. >> Sorry, Barrett. Sorry, Barrett. I don't think he is. >> No, I didn't know. >> No, okay, I think we're cleared. Barrett. >> Anyway. >> Thanks for the DM on our Bob and LVF Instagram page. All right, enough times wasted. You're on the phone. Let's get into your disaster. What's going on? >> All right, guys. So I'm not proud of this, really. But at the same time, I'm not that ashamed of it either. Okay. So I'm old enough. I've been through life. You know, I know what things cost out there. I'm not about to wear perfectly good meal, go to waste, right? >> I hear you. >> I'm on a date. And I took this new girl out first real dinner that we went out for. Nice place, nice restaurant. Not too crazy expensive, but not cheap either, right? >> It was new girls safe, right? It was not too cheap, not too expensive. Okay. >> Yeah, I think so. And, you know, I'm doing the math and my head already the whole time. Like, all right, this better goes somewhere. Now there's this really, that's so weird. >> Okay. >> Yeah, I mean, it's pretty expensive. >> Okay. >> You know, there's a loud family behind us with these kids dropping food, moms, ordering everything like it's a buffet and it's not paying attention to anything. >> Right. >> Total chaos behind us. So me and my date, we finish up, things go well. But as I'm walking out, we're walking out to the car. I realize that family behind me made up the whole bag of leftovers on the table. >> Oh. >> Okay. >> And so I stopped. >> Okay. >> I turned around and I forgot my wallet. I went right back into the restaurant to the table, looked around like I'm in some kind of heist movie. I grabbed the bag. I walked out like I know it. >> Where am I? >> So you're going to tell them they forgot it? >> No, for me. >> What? >> What? >> What? >> What? >> They're food that they left? >> Yeah, they left it. It was a whole bag. Yeah, it was on the table and I'm thinking jackpot. >> It's okay. >> So next night, I texted my girl, I'm like, hey, come on over, I'll cook. And she shows up really excited. I mean, she's thinking I'm about to like completely chef it up in the kitchen. >> Oh, boy. >> So I have the bag out there frizz and she's like, you know, you remember what I liked. >> Well, actually honey. And then I told her the whole story. >> Oh, proud though. I was proud of what I did. Like I just pulled off an ocean to heaven. >> Yeah, gay. >> You know, you know, I said, you know, we're microwaving. You know, kills germs. There's no need to parse with the bite marks and then you know. >> Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Barrett, you, they had bite marks in their food. >> No. >> Just a little bit. couple. Okay. All right. I got a good one. Wow. I mean, she looked at she gave me like as if I told her I was dumpster diving for sport. I mean, kind of. Yeah. Okay. She sat there just blanking and then five minutes pass and you know, she just left and you know why your whole relationship flash before her eyes. Yeah. Yeah. She's out. I'm trying to get a hold of her. Yeah. The next day I texted her nothing went straight to voicemail. Yeah. I mean, I don't know. I mean, eating a reheated pork chop, you know, technically belongs to a 10-year-old. I mean, I don't see the harm in that and I mean, the wicket wasn't for her. Yeah. No, I mean, you know, I'm sure. I'm glad I didn't go to waste. You know, right? Yeah. I mean, you know, wow. Still, it is kind of embarrassing though. Right? Barrett. She's, um, I guess. I mean, well, we're embarrassed for you. If it makes you feel better. So we're going to ask listeners. She's a bearer. We're going to ask listeners today. You might stay tuned because what is the most embarrassing thing you've ever, you know, just full blown cheap out on like you just were so cheap. You just did it and you should be embarrassed about it. Barrett isn't apparently. Okay. Start your day with Bob and LVF in the morning. Then get through the work day with 80s, 90s and more variety all day long. 105 7WR. So I'll share. Okay. I'll start if you want. Okay. So when I first started golfing, you know, I was putting them together this years ago. My sat and all that. Well, not that far. Anyway, so, um, for my gaming, some clubs, right? For a really good price. And he's like, hey, I'm throwing some shoes. I've never really used them that much. You the shoes. Exactly. I said, okay, cool. And I assumed, you know, that well, they look like they're my size, but they were I'm 10 and a half and they were like 11 or 12. I'm like, I can make this work. Oh my soul. I gave it a go. You sure working the lighthouse. Mark else. Mark. Oh, put them on to go. You can't keep them on your feet. It was it was not a good look. Oh my god. Yeah, like put them on and you know, a little girl trying to under mom shoes. Clamp it around the house. That's kind of adorable. Yeah, it was. Oh my god. I love it. I can picture that. You're on the golf course. They were beautiful. They were beautiful. They ended up selling them later on. Oh, you know, a garage sale. I bet it's not the first time you wish you a bigger feast. We're going there. We're going. Just have to say, you know, you must have one day one day. I was bigger, bigger feet. Great. They heard over there. It didn't. Anyway, so that's it. I shared my most embarrassing time. I cheaped out. I gave it a go. I thought I could make it work. There's not enough socks you can wear to make up for that. No, there's not. As it turns. That's seven pairs. All right. Okay. All right. 8 a day four. That's funny. It's quite a sight. Yeah. I was like, feel like you should think. I don't know. Like put a dress up on. Like, everything's too big. Feel like you're big at the end. Exactly. Just walk around the golf course. You know, they never invited me back. I thought it's nice. Start your day with Bob and LBF in the morning. 105 7WR. Might be at that point. We're going to start missing this because it is getting out of hand LBF out of hand. Literally out of hand. I'm not even going to touch one at this point. It's crazy. What's going on with this food that is supposed to be the new England go to. Yeah. Be prepared to spend at least $45 on in lobster all this summer. That's insane. Embrace yourself. Are you talking booze you though? No. Brace yourself for more than $50. Actually, I'm talking about a small lobster like you know, when I think of a lobster roll. Yeah. I think of a generous mound of lobster. You can barely get your mouth around. You're trying like coming off the sides of the lobster roll. Right. And like, you're like, oh my god, what a killer. No killer. Right. What you want to say is. Yeah. Oh my god. What do I do? What am I going to do with this? Like, you know, exactly. You know, exactly. Yeah. But now, it's like $45 and it's like, I'm looking for a claw. There's no claw. There's no claw. There's no nothing. What do you mean? Yeah. Like, there's no the claw. You know, sometimes you get a big lump of claw. Yeah. And you're like, well, no, no, no, no, it's all minced. It's all minced. You know what? What we do? What else they do? Yeah. Put a lot of mayo in it. And they juz it up. Yeah. With some celery and other things that are not needed. Right. Wow. And I just don't know what happened. What is happening? Actually, it was like, because, you know, the lobsters are few and far between. And there's all these regulations. And it's harder to get lobster. And it used to be, you know, it was a huge industry. But it wasn't expensive. Everything's, you know, it just came. It's just a different world. Right. But I just want to tell all the young kids who are literally getting like one fourth of a cup of lobster. Okay. Their lobster roll. And they think they're excited about it. Like it's caviar. Yeah. There was a time not long ago. Gather round, children. I love these stories. Yes. Okay. I'm here. Where should we sit in the floor? I was 16 years old. Yeah. And there was a place in Maine we would go to. And I'm not joking. This is not a fever dream, everybody. All right. I would complain about going to the thing. Because I was 16. Yeah. There was no television. And there was a poolside buffet. And when I tell you, there were platters filled two feet high. Okay. Four feet long. I mean, like, you know, first grader with lobster. Lobster rolls. Just lobster meat. Lobster meat. You put in your own lobster. Or on a salad. You were watching in your waistline. Wow. It was crazy. It was. Scoop your own lobster. You could scoop and say kids. Yeah. They'd be like, oh my god. We ran out. Let's go get some more. Got to be kidding. It was amazing. And we were a happy little camper. No, I was 16. And the way that I couldn't hang out my friends. That's her bowl. I know. It's awful. You know, family vacations are wasted on 16 year olds. Just leave them at home. But yeah, I just can't believe that there is a time. But I think that the thing is is that like I in my lifetime, I have seen the loss of a lobster. And I didn't have that on my finger. No, no, and I'm real sad. No, and you don't want some like little tiny roll, you know, just. And here's the thing. Are you going to order a lobster all this summer? If it's 45 to 50. You lost me. No, I have I there's I'm going to there's a couple places we go that have a Thursday night special. So it's a two-fer deal. Yeah. So we do that. And that it's 40 for two. But I've noticed my favorite haunts. They've all gone. Oh, yeah, they're just way too expensive. Yeah, it's like we crossed it. One day crossed a 30, 35 dollar barrier. I'm out. Yeah, it's over. It's over. It's like it's like beauty in youth. After you're 35. No, it's a 45. I'm not doing it. I'm not doing it. Then get through the work day with 80s, 90s and more variety. All day long. 105 7WR. I'll ask I don't abuse it all the time. Okay, and I'll give them a tip like 1050 or something like that or give them something else that they want. All right. That I will not just close. Okay. Oh, I know. I know. I know. So yeah, I haven't had I didn't pay for a lobster roll and not only know. Oh my god. So no, no, no, no, no, no, no, I mean, some falls off the boat, you know, you know, you know, wait, can I just can I interject here for one second? Because this is a tricky thing. You know, when you have an in on something and then somebody finds out you have the in on it, you can't use your in for like a, there are only certain people you can use that in for. And some and like you might not make the cut. No, you know, it's like, well then, but if you abuse it, they'll cut him exactly. But the thing it, so he's going to be careful. And when you don't make the cut, it's a little bit sad, but I understand it. So I don't know people would have made the guy. I'm not going to take it. Yeah, I'm not going to take it. Oh, we didn't. No, I don't. Excuse me. You know something I don't. Maybe, maybe I don't. Maybe I don't. Maybe I'll crawl back. What? Say, how do you mother? No, it's not that one. Carrita Phil is in. Nope. Nothing. You know, but making your own lobstrolls underrated. So just do it yourself. No, DIY terrible thing to do. What we do, we do it last. It was awesome. Oh no. That was my brother doesn't but like if you're really rich, you go to the store and you buy the props. No, I'm not doing that. Isn't that? That's like that's crazy. I bought three steam lobsters, three steam for market basket. So come home, rack them, crack them and did everything. And I even have a hack for that. I found you know the little the little legs that you just toss at me down. You don't want to suck it out, right? You get a bread roller, right? Put it on a board and you those roll right out. You get you're saying you just give all more. Yeah. I you know what, you're the person to have on a boat that is in the middle of the ocean to just make sure you get every last. Every last one. Yeah. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's fine. 105 7WR. This is super smart in 60 seconds. Let's say good morning to Jessica from native. Good morning, Jessica. Good morning. There you are. I Jessica, you tell us you are you work health department somewhere? I guess. Really? What do you do? I was just a director, but I'm also out in the field doing inspection. Oh, that's good. It's a very accountable job. Yes, right. Like that. Respect to never thought us. Never thought. I bet not. I want. I'm going to need to know what you inspect after this call, but anyway, go ahead. If you're not sure, we want to come back to it, give you another crack. Here we go for $1,000. Let's play Super smart. What is 9 plus 8? 17. What was Mr. Rogers first name? Oh, my God. Pat. Who's older? Howland and her William Shatner. Who wrote Uncle Tom's cabin? Who did John Lennon marry in 1969? True or false, in decent proposal, one worst picture of the Razzy Awards. What are the Menendez brothers first names? Oh, my God. What line divided the North and South in the US Civil War? If you were even a quarter in a cent, how much money would you have? What is poliosis? It's poliosis. Okay, this one was a hard one for you. No big deal, but this is what my favorite part is. Super smart. Now you're going to learn something and you can wow your friends with it tonight. Overdrinks. There you go. All right. What was Mr. Rogers first name? Fred. Ready? Just one of those things. Oh, my God. Who's older? Howland and William Shatner? Actually, howland and his older by one day, he's 95 today. William Shatner is 95 on Sunday. Can you believe that William Shatner is 95? Wow. That's crazy from Star Trek for everybody. Uncle Tom's cabin, Harriet Beatrice Snow. And this one, I was saying, oh, no. Really? She didn't know it. You're going to get this particular joke in one second. No, go on. No. We're in. We're actually did. We're in worst picture at the Razi Awards. Lyle and Eric Manendez were the boys who the brothers names. And the Mason Dixon line was the line that divided the North and South during the US Civil War and poliosis is the graying of hair. It's when a person has like a gray streak in their hair. Yeah. You probably have some. Jessica, you're fun. Hey, let it go. Who cares? You know what you're doing? We're checking on health stuff. That's more important than the Zumba's mom. Yeah. Yeah. That was fun. Oh, good. Glad you had fun. Jessica, hang on. We're going to get you an awesome WROR Super smart t-shirt to play around the office or wherever you want. Okay. Hang on. Have a great, have a great day. Jessica, hang on. There you go. Producer Aaron will take it from there. Yeah. You know what? It's tough. Sometimes it doesn't match. Sometimes it matches. Sometimes it doesn't. I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. But it's good. There you go. I learned something today. Didn't we? Yeah. 105 7WR. I saw something yesterday that I think kind of confers. We are living in scary times. Okay. All right. Check this out. 19 million Americans out of 340 million. Oh, yeah. I was going to ask how many other. Yeah. 340 million. I have thought about the ultimate revenge. Okay. I'm talking M-U-R-D-E-R. Okay. Oh my God. I'm a murder. Yeah. I know how to spell. I know. I'm just. Yeah. I wanted to. You know, what was that? Okay. Kids just in case. Can I finish? Yes. Please. Okay. I'm talking about is the kids say, on live somebody? To unalive. To unalive them. Okay. So 19 million Americans have said, yeah, I've been at the point in my life where I wanted to murder someone like legit murder. That's a big number. That's like 10%. We have this thing in my house. Yeah. Because David's mom would say, David, I'm going to murder you. Okay. Hey. Boy. Someone. She was at a high voice. And because he had he had thrown the basketball throw a kitchen window and she was right there. And that's what she said. So whenever Dave does something that makes it crazy, I say, Dave, I'm going to murder you. Well, anyway, he has cause. That's cause right there. Yeah. So I mean, have you ever had that reaction? Are you want to? No. No. No. I mean, it's very strong. It's very strong. It's not well thought out. Okay. People. I'm talking bag, bag, done. I get it. I get what you're saying. But my point is is that I think that that's just it's, you know, in a society that likes instant gratification, it's not, it's not smart. First of all, you don't want to go to jail and you don't want to do that. You don't that is morally wrong. Do you have a better idea? Yes. Okay. I believe that revenge is best served cold. And it's important to wait a lifetime to see. First of all, I just want to remind everybody that life is hard. And to watch it unfold for people can be interesting. Okay. So right now say, okay. Like, hey, your best friend, you're in high school. And you're like, just wish you didn't exist. Right. Trust me. Okay. She's waiting 16 right now. She's going to go through a lot. By the time she's about 60 years old. You don't you don't want to to take the torture that's going to happen. Right. Right. I mean, like from everything to like, you know, divorce to like being annoyed at the count. Just watch. You're saying just watch. Okay. Just watch her. I just like. I think like maybe, um, instead of murder, I'm just throwing it out there. Uh, kidnapping. You know what I mean? You kidnap somebody you can't stand. That means you have to spend time with them. Have you ever seen like, you know, uh, but then you can really give a piece of your mind. No. I don't mean you could like, all right. So there's a bit midler movie about that from the 80s, which when they kidnap her and she's so awful that they give her back. That I can see. That's what happened. You don't want to kidnap somebody. All right. Food poisoning. No, slow burn. No, you don't want to do any of those things because you can get in trouble. Why would you bear? Still M U R D E R, isn't it? Yeah. It's just, it's just okay. Just relax, everybody. Everyone's a little tightly wound, but just let it unfold. Okay. Fun to laugh in the face of karma. 105 7W R R.
