Ashes and Ancestry - Episode 2 - Heavy Hearts, and Heavy Pockets
148m 6s
Following a bandit attack on Fairthorn, the party finds the villager Shelley dead in the sacred grove, having killed a bandit to prevent him from burning it. The group, deeply affected, retrieves her body and the bandit's corpse. They debate disposing of the bandit bodies, with suggestions ranging from burning to burial in the grove, but decide to consult the village elder, Lucinda. The session highlights the emotional toll of the raid and the practical consequences of losing key villagers like Shelley, the local merchant, and the doctor. The party is left to manage the aftermath, including fires in the village and the disruption to their community's livelihood and safety.
Previously on of Dyson Reimbos, the table reunited and began to learn about their beautiful new world to play in, called "Moravane" and the country they live in "Varatus". The Queen who rules them seems to be fair and just, yet for some reason, despite this, an uprising has begun in the Kingdom. Bandits comprised mostly of citizens of Varatus, who identify themselves as "the People's Army". This is left people and the crown are like confused. And furthering the confusion, the People's Army seems to be targeting the average citizen and their villages claiming they need to gain resources to battle the Queen and her army head on. The Party, however, and their village, Fairthorn, have been unaffected by this for a while now, though their village elder, Lucinda, still agreed to heard nephew Irvane's concerns about safety and formed the town militia made of our table. Irvane, his sister Sage, Corrin, Ash, Hyarute, and Luke. The militia spent most of its time the last three months since formation, patrolling town, helping with random tasks, training. Well, I'll accept Sage, who used the patrolling excuse to become more familiar with the insides of everyone's homes, and to play her favorite tippy-toe game. That is, until now, when a merchant came to town attempting to con the villagers, only to be revealed for the bandits they truly were. In Trojanhorst style, the wagon the bandits rode in on, burst open revealing several threats to the village, as well as some who entered the village, while everyone was distracted by the wagon. After Harry lost his of Hoi Hoi, the town's only merchant, and Luna, the town's doctor, the party managed to fight off the bandits and stop the raid. However, Lucinda broke the short-lived silence with a singular question, "Where is Shelley?" The town's homemaker and best harvester to ever walk the sacred grove was not among those on the battlefield. Now, we rejoin the party where we left off. [Music] Welcome back to another episode of Dice in Rainbowes. I am your GM Clayton, and today I'm gathered with six people, yes, count 'em six, who are not just smashing their monitors at the last second before sitting down to play. Hello. My name is Orvane. I'm a bone daddy. Oh, and how's it go by luck? Or Zaddy? Well, I'm a bone Zaddy! [Laughs] Here'll be Woody McWoodwood log saying, "We're gonna get all up in their bushes." [Laughs] This is Courtney playing Ash. Hello. I think it's my turn. Yeah. This is Lloyd, aka Daddy Bear playing Karin. Hi, it's Siren here playing a lovely Chaos Demon. Otherwise known as Sage. And it's your boy Fox, also known as Luc. Hope you enjoy this session today. Perfect. And I'm fortunate this is on me, because I'd say anything about it before we started, but let's just real quick let people know that we have class changed. So the last episode ended with all the players unlocking new classes, and they have the option to either stay as what they were, and gain more points in it, or they could swap their class into something new and shiny. Well, surprising absolutely no one. They all chose the new and shiny option. So let's go ahead and just go back through us real quick and just say what class you're currently playing. I'm Orvane. I'm gonna be playing a bone witch. The Woodman is actually playing a basic class still in the foot soldier. [Laughs] This is Koran. He will be switching over to Bowman. As is jumped into the combat skills of a fighter. Sage is also switched to bone witch. Your boy Luke has changed into a guardian. Perfect. Thank you guys. Yeah. So we got two bone witches. They really liked Granny's ability to rip people's heads out of their bodies last episode. It was really a good selling point. I'm not gonna lie. So let's go ahead and continue for what we were. So last time we played, you guys were going about your business, living your everyday lives, some of you less innocently than others, and then something great happened, and a merchant came to town, and everyone was really excited, because you're in the middle of nowhere, you hardly ever get to do stuff like this, and usually you've got to wait till Hoi Hoi, your local merchant, makes a run. And that's usually like a month or two before he returns with goods, because he tries to get you guys what he can. Of course, during a little altercation with the merchant, it was revealed that they were trying to sell some shoddy goods, and between Sage or Vain and Grandma Lulu, they basically ended up collectively telling off the shopkeep and demanding better service or to just get out of their space. So this revealed, of course, a Trojan horse scenario, where the merchant wasn't actually a merchant, they were bandits, and they were there to raid the village, and we're probably hoping for people to kind of let them do it at night, but of course they got found, so they took during the day, fire and shenanigans then followed. And so we are currently standing in the middle of the burning village, all of the immediate danger has been dealt with Thomas, your blacksmith has taken off, and he's trying with other villagers to put out the fires that are going on. And at this point, we had ended the session with Grandma Lulu asking, where is Shelley? Shelley is one of the villagers here who is very gifted when it comes to growing things, she's known for having abundant produce, the best baked goods, that kind of thing. So your local homemaker is currently missing, and it's going to be at this point that we begin our adventure, so you guys are standing in the middle of your burning village. Everything's on fire! Truly is. Well, I'm going to go dryly Luna. Your grandmother, of course, is going to look at you and go, come back here, there's no time for that, do that later with no one's looking. We need to go and find Shelley. But what if Shelley is injured? She could, all of her herbs and stuff will be useful. She stares at you and goes, if I remember correctly, a few moments ago, your brother was just tending to my wounds. And she's going to shoot you a little look, because you guys were supposed to leave her alone, but you did babysit Grandma Lulu, pretty hard. Could say you get a plus report with me with that, because I totally approve that. Her good, right, looted in the body, okay, period. And we can say possibly that you jingle like one of the things that you took off of Hoi Hoi, a point towards his corpse, like checking out, and then, yeah, that'll be the musical game. Hoi, you did it. I'm so proud. I actually have two healing potions. In that moment, I would toss one of those healing potions that I got to her to share the spoils with her. Perfect. Go ahead and just copy paste it in chat and check it out. It's okay. Did anyone see or hear Shelley before the fight broke out? Um, not immediately before. Were you robbing her house again? No. Mm hmm. So of course, as you say this, um, Ash, we're going to have to build on this, right? So there have been a few times. You're not new to the village. You've lived here for about half your life now. And there are plenty of times you have been getting up early, going to join just kind of the festivities in town as you try to participate as much as you can. And of course, you've been trying to get with Thomas to get him to be your master and teach you how to blacksmith. And it's not uncommon to see sage coming out of windows, not just Shelley's that multiple people's windows. In fact, there was a while where you weren't sure which house sage actually lived in. All you all you knew in the beginning, Ash was that sage had an adversion to front doors. Your version to front doors, notwithstanding, um, did she chase you into town or did she stay in your house? Do you know? Um, she followed me. Okay. So she was to an extent. She was in the village. She didn't stay at her house. I know that for sure. Okay. So she was at least somewhere near the square, probably when the whole blue broke out. Okay. Does anyone want to, uh, to get guess it where Shelley is before we continue this? I would like to do. Do you want to tell her that she was in the forest? I don't know. You guys are acting like you ain't got no clue. The GM's trying to now lead you to a location. I also told you that she's like spending most of her time. I mean, the fucking course and everyone's like, I don't know where Shelley was. It's like the worst episode of door. They explore all right. I'm trying to give a bitch a clue. Or Vayne would put his hands on his hips very heroically said, I think everyone should check the woods. Yeah, everyone in the scene. Oh, that's right. Shelly's probably in the sacred orchard. And the wall in the arms get your way there because that's crazy. This girl has one like identifying feature and we're all going to ignore it. I didn't want to assume that's where she went immediately. I want to assume that the blacksmith was going to be in his blacksmith place. You know, it's like crazy. So you guys are going to venture down through. There's no healing from last session. Okay. Because you guys have not yet. If you're going to ask a question like that, just please ask it like in voice. Oh, I didn't want to interrupt. Sorry. No, it's okay. It's okay. Because I wait because I have to answer it anyway. But like, okay, there's no healing because you guys haven't arrested. This is literally like moments after the battle. All right. So you guys have gone. Can I just slap everyone on the ass as we go by? No, because we're passive healing. Don't you? I have passive healing. That's battle only. Yeah. I know you. I know you. As soon as I was like, I don't have to look at your character sheet. I know you've got that region move. The medagaming is crazy. You'll medagave healing on me. But you won't medagate the fish I gave you. So anyway, if you guys walk into the sacred grove, you follow the main path. Of course, this place is massive. Again, it goes on for 500 acres. But you guys have all traversed it quite a bit. Most people in your village have explored every corner of the sacred grove at some point or another. Of course, some of you spend more time here than others because again, you do have some specialists, you know, rip Luna and rip Hoi Hoi. But here is when you see something kind of upsetting and what you're going to see, I'm going to share this to now. You see Shelley's bloodied body and the bloodied body of a bandit. Both of them on the ground dead. They have their hands locked on a still lit torch that is lifted above the ground, even in death. And you can see that the bandit has Shelley's dagger sticking in his neck and that she herself had been stabbed multiple times. On the bandit's leg is a vine wrapped around that he seems to have tried to cut through but failed to before bleeding out. And that is how you find Shelley. Damn. What a fucking way to go. She protected the grove to the end, it seems. I should have took all her money. Luke is going to walk up to Shelley's body and I hate seeing this. Luke, because since Shelley was somewhat of a mother to Luke in his sister, he will try to take care of her body and everything. Make sure she get a proper belly on so she's he's going to do that and try to do it before anybody. You try to lose her. So the first thing you're going to notice Luke is you're trying to kind of pull Shelley out of this situation. Get her away from her attacker is that even dead she has like an iron grip on that torch. It really truly seems like this is her last act was to hold on to this no matter what. And it's going to require you literally prying it out of her cold dead hands to take the torch from her. Can I just get try to get the ban it away from her then you can try his grip is a little looser on the torch. Of course, he was struggling and fighting with her. So he is holding on to it. But at some point as you can tell by the discarded dagger by his leg, he probably was more fixated on trying to free himself from the vine that he had been trapped by. I will try to yeah, I'll try to get the ban it away from her and everything. Okay, so you're able to easily you have a sword and you're able to easily cut through the vine the rest of the way. And you do pull the band it off even with removing him. That torch is still held up by Shelley's dead grip alone and it is still lit in Birmingham. Can I try and put the torch out? How would you like to do that? I would eat it. No, but is there dirt on there? Like you can use dirt on the path to suffocate it right. There's also plenty of blood if you want to roll it in liquid. I don't want to roll it in blood really. I do not. I would rather just take like a fucking. You will have to take the torch from her cold dead hand again. It will have to be pried out. That for some reason it feels very disrespectful to do that. So I'm not gonna. Is that I was going to say Luke wasn't going to let that happen. So just like Monty, of course, it's going to go. You know, we're really going to just stand here and watch this. Yeah, what else are we going to do? He looks at you. Looks at them and goes, well, I'm guessing they're not going to get past this until the body is dealt with. And how are we supposed to loot it if they're all just going to stare at her like that? Fair point. I think it's for a few more times. So you all decide to leave Shelley's cold dead corpse. I am gripping this torch here. I was muted. No, sorry. Sorry, Jesus. I double muted. Orvane would walk up to where they were with the torch still lit and just grab the dirt from the ground. He would try to get dirt like near where the grass is growing. So it might be a little bit more moist and just with a handful of it. Put it like try to put it on top of the tour. Like sprinkling it like putting on the topic on my ice cream. Yeah, he's trying to smother it like how ashes original thought was to do. Go ahead and roll a D 100. I want like a 60 or higher because it's probably a little difficult to do it that way with a torch. A 72. Okay, so I got the hands. Despite it being designed to keep burning under wind and stuff like that. Yeah, or being you find a good way to kind of just dual toss. You are almost like you're powdering it on both sides of the quick like hand toss of dirt. And it seems to do the job. It's smothers it enough where it eventually just burns out on its own at this point. She's still gripping it. If you guys want to remove this and not have it be a permanent fixture to her corpse. You're going to have to take it out of her hand at some point in the journey. Otherwise, you're bearing her with that fucking torch. Before we go to move her, I'm going to just try to get it. Okay, I want to do it. Okay, so Luke, this is going to be hard for you. You are the last person who wants to do this here. You are going to have to roll a D 100 and it's going to have to be a 70 or higher to succeed. Oh, man, I don't like that. 25 25. I really don't want to do this. The party is going to watch us. Luke walks over gently pulls Shelley onto one of his legs just resting her head. And he tries to slowly finagle the torch out of her hand. And as this goes on and the torch is just not moving and he's slowly grabbing at her hand, trying to peel her fingers back. They're resisting. You hear the snap of one of the bones. Hopefully it's rigging mortis. You're not sure what the sound was. And at this point, everyone who's watching can see Luke sobbing as he is trying to pull this out of her hand. And eventually his sister walks up and puts her hand on his shoulder and tries to help. Finally, after far too long, they manage to get it out. Luke, you're going to add a personality skill to yourself. It's called the weight of loss. You're going to put you've lost one person. How many more can you lose before it's too much? And that's all it currently does to you. You can also add the torch cheer and inventory if you would like Luke. Not the torch. Oh no, Shelley's torch. So at this point, of course, Grandma Lulu is going to step in and go. We need to bury the dead. We can't just leave things like this. And she turns to you sage and she goes, "And do not loot Shelley. The least we can do is let her be buried with her things since she protected the grove." Can I loot the bandit? She nods and goes, "Fuck him." "Okay, I can't loot the bandit." She is also going to point at, sorry, not Luke. I want to say Luke, but it's not Luke. She's pointing at Korn and she's going to point at Haya. And she's going to go, "Please carry her body back to the village." Understood. And she herself is going to make her way back. Yeah, I'm looted this motherfucker's body. Fuck this guy. Okay. So go ahead and roll a D6. A 5. So as you're going through, I will say you can add a dagger to your inventory sage. We've already talked about how the dagger was discarded on the ground. Other than that, with all the blood, how they've been sitting here and stuff, he didn't really have much gear to begin with. These bandits didn't look well equipped. His clothes and stuff are ruined unless you want to wear something or know anyone who would wear the dried blood of a friend and an enemy. Man, these guys really did suck. They have shit gear. They don't have anything on them. Balls. Monty coos with you and goes, "Yeah." And they were shitty bandits too. Yeah, you're telling me. So the bandits corpse, you guys going to leave it exposed? You're going to just. No. What do you want to do with that? The terrain would go up and he. He would drag the. No, I don't want to get blood all throughout the whole village. I'm going to pick him up. I'm going to pick him up and I'm going to take him back to the village. Walking over, he would pick up the body of the dead bandit. Reluctantly, he would want to drag him through the village, for fear of making things worse, he's going to carry him. We should probably toss all of these dead bodies that are the bad guys until one of these are burning buildings. I mean, it's already inflamed. We might just burn their bodies. I don't give shit. But then you're going to have to clean the bones out after we want to rebuild the houses. That's too much of a pain. Do you have a compost? Is it? Is it really? I think we should bury them in the grow so that they nurture the plants. Not a bad idea, Haya. I agree with Haya. Okay. Is that what you guys have decided to do? You're going to bury the bandit's bodies in the sacred grove. I think we should ask grandma what her thoughts are. But I'm not opposed to that. I will last elder about it. How about that? Last elder, then we'll see what we can do from there. Better say something, sorry. All right. We should probably head back. Okay. So as you're making your way back, you guys can of course have a moment to talk if you would like. Korn and Haya are carrying the unfortunately dead body of Shelley. We do have orphaned with the bandit allegedly kind of piggyback style on him. Since you are a castor, I'm going to assume that it's kind of difficult for you to carry this soldier. But you're getting it done. Everyone else is kind of soundly following. Or at least everyone but sage probably certainly is. It's sage. Just don't care. She's just walking. Or even would step close to sage and look over at her. Did you find anything on this fucker? No, just this fucking dagger. That piece of shit. I don't think any of these motherfuckers have anything good. So it's probably not even worth to loot any of the guy. Oh, I wonder if the remnants of the wagon is still there. And if there's anything like I mean they had shit items, but they still had something that we could probably sell. Or find the new merchant to say that we're fucked. Yeah, our disease goes to say this and realizes the local merchant Hoyoi was brutally murdered and looted by her brother. And then realizes how will we sell things in the future? Our merchant is dead. Our doctor is dead. Our groove X one of our groove experts is dead. This. You are walking through and having this thought ash. There is a noise from the woods as you are interrupted. And you see emerge a strange man. Very ominous. He's in robes. There is a blatant sense of energy around him. And as he walks upon you, his eyes immediately go towards Shelley's body. And you hear him Tisk in frustration. Who are you? So you approach him getting between him and she. I am immediately stepping between him and Shelley and asking him who he is. Like, who the hell are you? Okay. He looks at you and just waves his hand and goes, I'm no one you need to be threatened by. But this isn't good to see her dead. And he kind of looks around and then his eyes rest on you. Higher root. And higher root, you don't know who this man is. But something about him is strangely familiar. And in a way, maybe you do know this feeling. Go ahead and roll a D100. You're going to need a 70 or higher, a 42. Yeah, you're not sure who this strange guy is that has walked out here. There is something scratching at the back of your bark. But you can't quite place what they might actually mean to you. Higher root is going to look at the man and say, do I know you? So as you draw his attention to you more, he walks past Ash. Unless Ash is going to try and stop him. Yeah, hold on. I'm not letting him just walk past me. Hold up. Okay. So the man is going to look at you, Ash, and he's going to go, I don't wish to fight you. But if you do get in my way, I will defend myself. Listen, you could talk to him from right there. You'll excuse me if I'm not very trusting up strangers at the moment, considering we were just attacked and our people murdered. He scoffs and goes, and are you also of low intelligence? Do I look like the people who attacked you? And he motions to his own attire where he is in pretty elaborate robes. This looks like somebody who has been probably trained in some kind of serious level. Maybe part of the Queen's army, you're not really sure. May I roll just see if I know who they are? You can make a roll if you'd like. I would like to make a roll too. You can make that roll. Being that I left that region when I was like 13, I think it was, wasn't it? Yep, you can make a roll. I want high numbers, so we got a 48 and a 25 and none of those are the high numbers I was hoping for. See, Hage, are you about to ask if you can roll? No, well, you do seem a lot better off than these motherfuckers that attacked us. He's getting none because if further proving my non-affiliation with them, besides, I, unlike you, have a deadline. He says to Ash and then tries to walk by you again. He'll step to the side and then walk towards higher route. He doesn't try to physically walk through you. Ash is still not taking his eyes off him, but he lets him pass this time. So as he approaches you higher route, he is given a look at you very closely and then not and go. Yes, okay. No, I don't know of you, but maybe perhaps we can help each other in a way. How is that? He looks you over for a moment and goes, I would have to confirm a few things first, but if I'm correct, then I think we could talk more deeply about it. Hire is just going to look at the man with a little bit of suspicion. Okay, and he doesn't seem bothered by this. He understands, you know, I mean, he sees the bodies are carrying. He knows what's going on. He does look at your group and go. Obviously, your village is in a bit of a pinch. Do you have accommodations for travelers or should I just rest outside your town for now? Well, our village is kind of a little bit burning right now, so I would think he would have better lodging in the road. When you say that, he nods and goes, then that's where I show weight and he is going to look at a higher route again and go. Once you've settled your affairs in the village, come back and see me and I would like to try and begin testing a few things. All right, then. So he is going to walk back towards the Grove and he doesn't go too far in. He just kind of starts looking under this large tree that's to your side. Still very visible to the road. He makes no efforts to hide himself and just kind of puts his stuff down and rests there. Is he within speaking distance? He can still hear you. You'd have to kind of raise your voice, but yeah. Or rain would call out to him and say, you never told us what your name is. He looks up to you and smiles and goes, let's decide if our meeting is truly relevant yet before I introduce myself. Can I just call you traveler? He shrugs and goes, if that suits you. Nice to meet you, traveler. Monty goes. I don't trust that son of a bitch. We should kill him and loot him. Well, I don't trust him either, but I don't think we should. I'm not sure about this guy. I'm not sure about this guy yet. I want to see what happens. Let's see what good easy has first. Monty's going non-cute you and go. And if there's more bodies, we can loot those too. You're going to gain plus one rapport with Monty. Okay. You all return to the village. Luke, is there anything you would like to say or do as you're walking? You've been quiet ever since you've touched Shelley's body. Luke is kind of out of it right now. He's like distant. Like he's not fully aware to his surroundings right now. The only thing that's actually holding them together is his sister comforting him right now. Okay. Completely fair and understandable. As you guys return back to the village, you're going to find that most, if not all, the fire has been taken care of. While you guys were dealing with what you were dealing with, it does seem that the villagers managed to get everything under control. And I want more down there to get rid of. I think this one I never brought off the GM layer. Yep. Well, there's one more burning building that never burns. So you're welcome. As you approach, of course, you are going to find Thomas. He's staying there looking pretty exhausted. And of course, you were asking earlier about the remnants of the wagon stage. You're actually going to find Thomas gathered with a lot of the parts of the wagon. He's rubbing his chin looking at you. Yeah, it's going to be a lot of work, but should be able to get it back up and running. Was any of the goodies still there or the stupid trinkets that he was selling? He looks June goes all that trash. You wanted that shit. I think there was a couple of things that he had that was worth, but honestly, not really. It wasn't really a lot of that wasn't really worth much shit. So he's going to reach behind him. He does have a wrapped bag full of contents from the actual wagon. And he tosses it to sage. I want you to roll a D100. You're going to need like a 60 not to get knocked down by the way to this bag. Since this is my first plot role, does my plus five from if you wish to use it, you can. That's pocketed. You can use that whenever you want. Okay, 73. So you catch the bag with ease. It is heavier than expected. He does look at you and go, honestly, it's a bunch of crap. I don't really think you're going to get much for it. Maybe if you get lucky, you might get like 20, 25 ants for it. At this point, our village is burning. We could use all the ants we can get. He's going to nod and go, I did give you the bag. So you can add to your inventory a bag full of crap, basically. And it's going to have a cell value of 25 with a question mark. You can also add to your inventory two watered down potions. They heal to LF a piece. Because he was, it was a con. I know a scam artist, but wow. Oh, no. Okay. Well, I got that. Now I'm going now to Luna's to do to do to do running down. You're running down to Luma's guy will save you the time you end up. Luna's body has been moved. Your grandmother, who is nearby, has been trying to see if there was any hope of saving Luna. Of course, it's far too late. And she does look at you as your approach. And she's going to fold her arms, go, really sage the doctor. Really, grandma, we had several burning buildings. You think people haven't got burns that they need taken care of? She's got begrudgingly nod at you and go, I hate that I'm an agreement. And she is going to walk towards you all. And as you are looting Luna, she is going to say to the group as you are all still kind of all here. You all did well. You didn't listen well, but you did well. Thank you for protecting the village. You're each going to gain one rapport with all of the remaining NPCs in the village. Sage and Orvane, you will gain two rapport with your grandmother because you're getting the rapport back that you had lost in the battle for ignoring her commands. Would Orvane see where any of the soldier's bodies were, like maybe being piled up, the bandits? Those bodies, if you're looking for loot, I'm just going to cut you off of that. I'm looking to drop this body off my back. Oh, okay, yeah, no, yeah. So essentially, villagers are gathering the bodies. Okay. They have like a little pile of them to the side. Your grandmother is also looking over at that and she turns to Angos. I'm thinking we just burn them or we could possibly give them a poppers burial outside the boundaries of town. Burn these fuckers, Orvane would say is he walks over and drops the guy in the pile. Um, after dropping him in the pile, he would go up to Neil and say apologies. I may have got blood all over the chess piece you had made for me. So Neil is going to let you and he's going to test the little as he looks at over and goes, I'm pretty sure I can get that out few though. It's not that bad. Um, given the fact that you all protected everyone, it's the least I could do. And he is going to look at the pile of corpses and goes, if they're all we could have ended up like them. Orvane would kind of smile to himself thinking that he kind of looked like a badass, you know, like carrying this dead body. Because you know, Neil doesn't know what happened out there. You know, he's like, you know, it's kind of like an ego boost for him. He's thinking that he's like, you know, uh, looking like he just came back with a prize, you know. He, he, he would kind of maybe puff his chest a little bit and like, you know, slight life. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Neil, you know, Neil doesn't, um, outwardly make a comment about this. But I will say as you are like preening and kind of like your body is kind of gesturing towards like that you're feeling yourself and looking for a little bit of a compliment. He is going to smirk at you and he will say, you did very well, Orvane, I'm completely impressed. Honestly. Thank you. Thank you. I tried my best to protect everyone. You will gain a rapport with Neil. Of course, everyone who participate in the battle, you will also gain a rapport with Neil and Thomas. That means, Orvane, you can have two with Neil. Um, you guys will also gain a rapport with Mira. And of course, Luke, you will gain two with Mira. And Ash, who's really interact with Thomas during the battle, you didn't get extra rapport with Thomas. Um, as for the rest of the party, do we have any rapport with them? Luke, Ash, with your party members. Uh, yeah, for defending the village, I would say there's definitely a sense of camaraderie. I mean, you guys were put together as a, um, in case of emergency kind of thing. And again, it was kind of assumed that you really wouldn't see any kind of action. So two have been put together so recently and already seen combat and saved your village. Yeah. I mean, unless there's anyone at the table who feels they just agree, I'll say you can all have one rapport with one another. Well, that puts Orvane and me at neutral again. Except for you two still hate each other. No, I'm going to wait. Wait, who am I at neutral with? Me. Ash, okay, because you lost one with me when I saw you. Did I lose any with anybody else when I looted Hoi Hoi so I can be at neutral? No, but remember, if you didn't put that one in from last session, you got, you got one from Sage. So Sage, me and you were at four currently, correct? Or five? Uh, we're at five. Okay. Say, my highest report right now is Thomas, of course. Did Luna have anything on her? So as you check, Luna, again, Luna was a doctor. She knew medicine, like actual medicine, not just like magic training or anything like that. So you are going to find medicinal herbs, but unfortunately, there's nobody in your village who knows how to properly use these. So you can add them to your inventory. The cell value is going to be a general question mark because you certainly have no idea what they're worth. Can Lucas, because remember his dream was to be a. There is. Yep. If you would like Luke, you may now step forward. Yeah, Luke would like to step forward and try to see if he can figure out any of them because his dream was. Would you like to roleplay how you explain that to Sage though? Maybe Sage doesn't know that. Excuse me, Sage. If you do not mind, I can try to identify somebody's herbs you got here. I, one of my dream was to be a doctor for the village, but it never came to fruition. I mean, I don't know what they fucking were, what they were. So here you go. Okay. And Luke will try to see if he can identify anything from his studies he was doing. Yep. It's going to have been a while. I want two roles. Yeah, I want two roles. You need an 80 or higher to succeed. So two 100s. Two 100s. Okay. Okay, you got a 39 and 84. So one succeeds, one doesn't. So you're going to have a few medical supplies, which is going to have a question mark next to it that you do not know what they are. And of course, at this point, Luke, you have separated three of the herbs that you know can be used in healing tonics. Specifically, similar ones that can be used into your potion that you make for your sister. However, you can of course make a regular healing potion with these. So if you would like to do that while you're at town, you can just let me know. Okay. Actually, I would would like to do that while I'm here. Okay. I would make a regular one. So we'll say that you create this probably during the course of the day while things are going on in the background. So just go ahead and add it to your inventory now. And it's going to just be a recovery potion. It's going to heal 10 LF. Yay. Elder while we were coming back. There was a strange man in some semi fine looking clothing that appeared. He was asking about accommodations in the village, but he's staying at the Grove right now. He seemed to want to talk to Hyrule, but and he was up. He seemed displeased that seeing Shelley, but I wanted to tell you that he was there because he didn't know what other trust them are not. So she kind of looks at you for a moment goes a strange man emerged from the woods. Yes. And he wants to talk to Hyrule. For some reason, yes, I don't know why. And he knew Shelley. He seemed to recognize her. He did not claim to know her. She's even nods low and go, was he a threat that he seemed to belong to the bandits? No, his clothing was far finer than anything they probably could have dreamed of having. So she nods because does he look like he could hold his own in a fight? Yes. Then great, welcome him to spend the night in the village. If we get attacked again, hopefully we'll be able to see him put to use. Okay, I guess I can go inform him if you wish. She's going on better to have him close anyway if he's an enemy rather than just have him out in the Grove. Fair enough. I shall start hitting back that way. Okay. So as Ashley's the group, Granny Lulu is going to address the rest of you and go, "I'm going to send you all on a task." A quest some might say. She looks at Sage. And she then huffs back at you. Ha! It looks over at Urvane and goes, "I'll quest some might say." Okay. What would you have us to? She smiles and pets you on the shoulder and she goes, "Good boy, that's a much better answer." But Granny, I don't want to go anywhere. She literally is just going to raise your arm that has monted it and kind of put Monti over your mouth. As you're talking. Urvane would also shoot Sage and I like not now. So she looks every call. She goes, "Sense we were attacked. Other areas nearby might have been as well. I would like you to go check on one of the neighboring villages." What's the load to what do you have us check, Granny Lulu? She smiles and nods and goes, "Honestly, I'd like you to check both. But it's up to you whether or not you do that." And so she is going to turn towards Thomas in just motion with a hand. Thomas is rebuilding the wagon for you using some parts from Hoi Hoi's and of course the parts from the wagon those bandits had. You'll be able to take it with you and it should help you move supplies yourselves. She does frown and goes, "Unfortunately, we don't have any animal to spare to pull it for you. So you'll have to take turns pulling the cart amongst yourselves." "We get to pull a cart?" She is going to look at you and just nongo. "Yes, Sage will pull the cart for you or herself." "Yay!" She's also going to pull a small bag and she is going to hand it to Orvain. Or Vain would take the cart from her. Inside is a little bit of money from the village. Unfortunately, it's all we can spare. So when you look into the bag, you can see there's a smaller bag inside of it. And she points and goes, "If you find one of the villages and they aren't attacked, request some supplies for us to be able to rebuild the burned houses." And then she points to the second wagon goes, "In that one is for you all. If you're able to buy yourselves some supplies, I would recommend doing so, as we don't know if there'll be another attack." "I definitely will see what we can gather from the other villages and make sure to return with it." So Orvain, you're going to have 300 ants that are going to be awarded to you guys for the actual village supplies. And then she gives you 80 ants for your party. All right, got it. So at this point, we will cut over towards the sacred grove where Ash has walked off to go find our wizard friend. As you approach and you approach and loan Ash, he gives you a dubious look. Ash is not going to get super close. They're basically at some distance from the tree the runder and they like gesture towards the village and they're shouting like, "Our elders graciously welcome you to come join our village this day." So he looks at you and races an eyebrow at you and goes, "Truly." And they decide to send you the most dubious of your group to invite me. "I'm all you got. If you don't want to believe me, snow's going off my nose if you want to sleep under the trees." He nods and goes, "Then I'll stay here. Goodbye." "You're okay. Bye." And Ash starts to leave. He really doesn't care and he doesn't trust the guy. You can tell the feeling is mutual. You do have a minus one rapport with this guy. He also does not care for you. So at this point, you guys are going to end up with a little bit of free time in the village. And of course, Grandma Lulu is going to say, "Take the night rest. In the morning, the wagon should be ready." And from there, well, race yourselves for the worst. Because if they attacked us, I'm afraid they've already hit the other villages. Or Vane would give her a nod. And is there any place within the village that I could go wash his blood off of me? Yeah. I mean, you have a house. Okay. You live here. Your house was one of the ones that was unfortunately set on fire. No, my stash. Yeah. But again, it wasn't like total collapse. You guys did get it under control pretty fast. So a lot of it is like roof damage. You know, if you guys don't get the roofs repaired, it could get worse. But it is not like ruins of your home. You have managed to avoid a complete catastrophe. So with that said, I'll let you even choose, Vane, which one of these houses is going to be the house that you sage and Granny Lulu live in? Let me see. Let me see. Let me see. Out of these three houses. Out of all the houses in the village. Okay. All the houses. I said the big one. The one that you're right by. Okay. So you're taking the largest house. And yeah, I mean, it makes sense. Of course, the village elder, you guys have a large family. And where else is sage going to hide all of her things? I'm going to say that outside the house there, there would be like maybe like a bucket of water or something. That orvane would like, you know, people use to wash their hands. Like we don't have running water or anything like that. But we have like a bucket of water. He would walk over and in line of sight of Neil, he would take off that thing, you know, rippled abs, trying to look sexy. Oh, that water off. Yes. Yes. He is a real life thirst trap. He would pour that water on himself, you know, trying to like, you know, he's he's he's peacocking. I want you to roll a D 100. You're going to need an eight year higher because you're distracted while you're doing this. I'm distracted. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. Roll a D 100. You got to beat a 13. 20. Oh. 28. So as you are mid motion pouring the bucket down you, you feel yourself going further back that anticipated. And you realize your legs have been swipe from underneath you. As you see sage there, just casually standing after having done a small leg sweep. And I'm taking you off. And as you were going to stretch and pose, she just got you right at when you were on your tippy toes and snacked you right off. And so you hit the ground, the bucket spills on you. Everyone's looking at this point because of the commotion. And you're going to see me look at the two of you, and he does laugh that he like throws his hand in front of his face and try and like say what? And he does kind of like look away to try and like spare you embarrassment. Or even would shoot like a glare towards sage is like I'm going to tell Lulu where your stash is. I will stick this dagger. I just got into your thigh. If you do. You might want to go for my throat sage. Grandma will beat me with her slip or if I kill you. So I do want both of you to roll a D 100 real quick. Sage, you need a 40 or higher or then you need a six year higher. Okay, we got a 30 and a 28. So you guys are joking back and forth and you make the comment about the dagger in the throat. But both of you immediately flash back to Shelley's dead body and the dagger in the throat of the bandit and Shelley stabbed corpse. And you realize that the blood you're washing off. Some of that is still hers. He would look at. Say to be like too soon too soon. Was Luke able to hear that comment about the. You probably witnessed everything going on, but they were having that amongst themselves because he was given a little threat. So like, let's assume they were kind of whispering under their breath to each other because. I'd say Luke would actually be upset about that if he heard that comment. Yeah. And she's saying he was really, really kind of off. He wouldn't really know. But I was going to say Luke. When you said rest Luke would spend the night in the Grove to like look at and tend to it since Shelley is not here and do his best and look around and see, you know, spend the time around. She just Shelley took a lot of time and he was just want to basket it for he leaves. And Mira is going to join you on that when you do that tonight. Of course, there is going to be one last thing that's going to happen before the end of the in game night, which is you are going to have a burial for the three town's members. So is there anything anyone wants that's going to happen at the very end of the night though. So is there anything anyone wants to do before that. Orvian would just leave his that outfit out front of Niels shop. He'll actually come over and take it from you after you've gotten up and you've had your moment with Sage. He'll walk over and take it out of your hand and go, I'll get a fresh and up for you. When he when Orvian hands it to him, it's like that reluctant, you know, tug like bull. And he's going to let it go reluctantly like, you know, kind of like. You know, he's trying to he's trying to woo him a little bit like, you know, yeah, you're laying it down thick. Again, part of Niels thing is you're not even sure if Neil remembers you from childhood. So Neil, of course, is kind of like looking choose or pulling and he goes. You can see the waters. You have to like go of that if you want me to clean that for you, you know. Oh, oh, sorry, I must I must have you know hit my head when I slipped. And you say that he does look concerned and goes, you hit your head and he's going to walk over and kind of check behind your head. And Orvian would let him. You'd be like, yeah, yeah, I think it's like right there. It's like, you know, on on the side right there. So he's going to test can go. I'll tell your grandmother that you need to be treated. I'm sure she'll come over and take care of it for you. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, I think I'm okay. I think I'm okay. And as you're saying, he's already run off and you see him running up to your grandmother talking to her. And she's just like looking you at side eye and you just watch as she starts swinging her wand back and forth. And you know that means she's planning on whacking you in the back of the head with it later. But yes, so he'll just leave the steam. Ash is going to walk over to loosen those big elder. I informed him that he was invited and he does not trust me. And I don't trust him. So he is still in the woods. I don't know if you want me to try again or send Iro or she lets you and shakes her head. And then turns to hire root and goes, if you feel like going and trying to get him you can. I just thought maybe an extra pair of hands could help if there ends up being a second attack. Of course, I might head over there after the burial. Oh, so you'll be there with me then. She's gonna nod and go, I think that's a proper choice. And she is walking over to a couple of the other villagers and she's starting to get the arrangements made to get everyone buried. Ash is going to walk over to Thomas and just say, are you going to want to help with this wagon? I heard you mentioned you're going to try and put it back together. He lets you and goes, boy, you're all left hands and thumbs. What are you going to do for me? Pass you tools and and and parts. You're going to roll a D100. You need a 65 or higher to convince him, but you're going to be helpful. Damn, we all have shit rolls tonight. He's looking at you and he goes, even at your best, you struggle sometimes and you've had a hard day. Why don't you just take the night off? I really have this. Ash is mildly disappointed, but he can see it's like, okay, Thomas. Is there any other scene anyone else would like that hasn't had one yet? Corn, you're not going to do anything of your pug? Well, the doctor's dead, so I'm like, I'm trying to figure out how she's very dead. Yeah, I probably would try to grab a healing potion and give it to the dog right away just to make sure he started healing. Do you have an offer to heal the dog? You can if you would like, yes. Yes. Okay, so I would be in the after I had washed off the blood and all the gore and stuff and I'm walking around shirtless around the village. Yeah, you'll see. Corn would puggle and he's looking and kind of trying to tend to the moon the best you can. Very concerned look on his face. You know that corn the puggle are just inseparable. Originally, puggle was a stray and kind of just hung out with everybody, but he basically chose corn and forced him to adopt him. Or if I would walk over and be like, is do I know the dog's name? Puggle. Puggle's his name. He would he would walk over to him and kneel down kind of next to puggle. Are you carrying him? No, I have him on the ground. I'm not talking about this side. He would he would kneel next to puggle and speak into the dog, not to core and more of because you know, like when people talk to dogs and they're not looking at the actual person. He would look at the dog and be like, are you still hurt? And he would give him like a look over and yeah, lifting his head. He seems like he's got a little bit of energy. Again, he did get healed a little bit during battle. So he wasn't fully badly wounded. But at the same time, like he does have a gash on his side for that hit that he had taken for corn. Or if I would reach into his side, little secret stash that he has in a bag and I'm imagining his secret stash is kind of like a sparkly glittery pixie dust kind of love that. So he would take it out and like put it in his hand and blow it kind of in the dog's face as it would like heal the dog. Okay, so of course, because puggle's pug and they already have respiratory issues, he immediately sneezes. That has made him congested beyond the lead. As he has a sneezing fit and corn is basically holding him in place as he's trying to launch out of his arms. You are going to watch as the wound on his side slowly sutures and heals together. After that was done, or vain would like do like the flat hand head pat on the dog, you know, like a good. He's only sneezing every like 30 seconds now. I would look over or say it and I would say thank you very much. You're very welcome. Okay. So hi root, you were headed to the grove to oh no, you wanted to do that later. Okay, so sage, I know you were looking at your stuff. Do you want to have a moment of that real quick? Or are we just kind of securing and unsecuring some things? Well, we're kind of securing things and securing things. Oh wait, wait, wait, Monty. What's up? Should we you know how we've kind of collected things from everyone here? Yeah, we've stolen something from pretty much everybody here. Should we give a thing back at the burial? Why would we do that? Well, what do you think about giving back? I don't know. Well, we have Shelley's hair, one of Shelley's hair ribbons. She needs that. She looks pretty over ribbons to be. And then there's a little figurine that higher root, not higher root, hoi hoi, my bed. That hoi hoi was going to was going to sell that week. That was so weak we could give it back. We could give it back. And I hope that you need that money either. Luna, we grabbed a little vile and we could just give that back. He thinks for a moment and kind of eyes you. Monty is definitely more than an instigator in your life. But you do love having fun with him and his ideas are pretty entertaining. But he thinks for Sengos, why don't we give something back to someone who's actually alive and can benefit from it? I mean, if we're going to literally take him out, let's make sure it's worth it. Okay. So Sage, you do have things up along to everybody, including every party member. Of course, with the exception of Orvane, who usually when you steal something from him, he immediately raids your stash and takes it back since he checks with you first. He does not even believe he misplaces anything. He is certain you have taken it. So you may choose any party member and you can describe what item you have to return to them. What would be for anything could be a piece of gear to even. I'm going to let you know that I'm not going to put a heavy restriction on it. Well, how about how about we give Corrin's little flask back to him? So when you say that Monty is going to nod, he coos real quick and goes. Yeah, I think that's over here, isn't it? And he floats over to the side of the room, starts rummaging through one of the cracks of the floor board. And then he starts tapping on the board with it goes. Yeah, yeah, it's the sport over here we had it in. Okay. So I pull out like this little, it's like a little teeny tiny flask. It's like, it's not huge. It's just, it's just like, you know, for like a nightcap or something that, like, something that Sage was able to, like, grab and, like, slip in her pocket or something really easily. In fact, the best part is it still has booze in it. Sage never took any. It really wasn't your thing. You and Monty are kind of in just for the thrill of it. And yeah, so you have this and you will be returning to Corinne during the funeral. Or when do you want to give it to him? Or should he mysteriously find it? Let's be honest, everyone probably knows that Sage probably took shit. It's, it's pretty, it's pretty assumed. Yeah. I first just got to give it back to him at the, at the funeral. Okay. So that's how we'll handle it then. So we're going to time skip to the night. There has been preparations going on. You guys have watched many of the villagers partake in getting stones cut and ready. And of course, as you all gather, you are going to see the graves waiting over here. So you've all gathered. You're on the southwest part of the village. Basically a large stone wall runs where the orchard begins. And on the other side of that where you're currently standing is just a little hill area that has been by the village. Kids usually play over here. You haven't really had much need for it. But at this point, it didn't feel right to do the normal ceremony for your village, which most of the time, yes, you do bury your dead in the sacred grove. Your village is very big on returning things back towards the grove. But at this point, since they died in the battle, it didn't feel right returning them right away. You wanted them to linger in the way in the village. And be remembered, this death wasn't of old age, it wasn't of sickness. It was cut down early before any of them even had a chance to know that it was their last day. And so you're standing by these graves. And Granny Lulu is at the front and she goes, "As the village elder, I do want to speak on behalf of the dead here. But I also want to give the opportunity for those who are close to them to speak." And she is going to look out to the crowd and go, "Does anyone wish to speak for Hoy Hoy?" "Worvane would step forward." And he would say, "Worvane, no, right. Our biology is crazy." "Worvane, you were awesome." No, Hoy Hoy, it is very heavy on my heart to see you go. You have helped out the community here so much. And all the time that you've been within this village, you will be greatly missed. And just know that even in your death, you were able to help out the village. So as you say that, Neil is going to be beside you and he's going to gently bump his shoulder into when you finish speaking. And he's going to go, "That was really nice." And you're going to gain a rapport with Neil. Or even we're just giving him like a head nod. So Granny Lulu is going to continue and go, "Does anyone here wish to speak for Luna?" So she nods and goes, "Luna came to us sick, wounded, and a position that most people in her field fear. As a healer, it's hard to be the patient. And we all work together to treat her to the best of our abilities. When she recovered, she decided to stay with us, to repay her debt to the village. And now it is always eternally her home. And we will not be able to repay the debt that she has given us." She then is going to move towards Shelley's grave and go, "Does anyone here wish to speak for Shelley?" Luke will step forward. As you start to, Mira will grab you by the shoulder and go, "You don't have to speak. You could just wait. It's all right." At that, he will look down. He wants to speak, but at the same time he knows he won't be able to keep it together in front of everybody. So he will have to take us to that. So when you step back, Granny Lulu is going to smile at you softly. You will gain a rapport with her, and she'll speak and go, "Grandma, grandma, I have something to say." She looks very concerned when the sage offers and goes, "Are you sure sage that you want to contribute to this very important moment?" Yes. Then, as any other villager, you may speak child. She looks very concerned about what's about to happen here. Although I am not sorry that I did steal on the items that I took from your house, Shelley, I am very apologetic that I did steal from you on the day that you were brutally murdered. I am sorry. So Monty goes, "Rest in peace, your dumb bitch." Which, of course, only sage understands. He looks very mournful at everyone else, and they were sad. Monty says he's sorry, too. So, your Granny Lulu is kind of taken by surprise, and she goes, "That was almost sweet, sage. Thank you." And you'll gain a rapport with Granny Lulu as well. So she looks at you, Angus. As always, we end this ceremony by leaving something of ourselves with those who have left us. And so she is going to pull out three stones that she has in her pocket. They're just assorted jump stones. All of them seem to be various shades of blue. And she leaves one on each of their graves and goes, "May the grove find you." And then walks past you all and kind of waits at the bottom of the hill for everyone to finish. So the question now is, is there anything people would like to leave on graves? Luke will check his body. I would say, "You are in the village, so you do have access to everyday things, of course. It doesn't necessarily have to be like a piece of gear or anything like that." What season is it right now? So, that is one of the things of your region, actually. Thank you for asking, Hyah Root. Your area actually is in kind of the eternal summer in spring loop. You don't really experience a fall. You don't really experience a winter. And nobody's quite sure why that is. It is believed that because the old gods had blessed the lands. That this is why you were in a state of eternal prosperity. But that might not actually be the reason. No one's quite sure. Cool. Hyah Root is going to pick some flowers off of his body and lay some on each of the graves. Okay, leaving a tiny piece of you. Hyah Root would you like to make a role for? I'd do 100 to save what might happen with flowers that are picked from your body specifically. Yes. And 91, so as you lay the flowers down and you notice that some of them look like they take root in the soil. Perhaps they'll grow every year there on their corpses. Okay, I should have asked this earlier, but I didn't think of it till after. Would it be feasible for me to have made like teeny tiny little like metal things to put on the graves? If you thought about it earlier, what would realistically you have right now? I mean, okay, so how about this? I'll say yes, because I didn't tell you guys I had a time. I'll be nice. I'm not going to bully you. I'm not usually that kind of a GM, but sure, you can have made tiny little metal things. However, I want you to roll your ability because you have to roll for each of the three you made. So let's see if you actually show up at three or if you only have one or two. So only four. That's good. 90 is good. 41 is still good. Okay, so none of them blew up in their creation. So you were able to make these tiny. So what exactly are these tiny little metal things? I was basically trying to make like representations for each person. So like a tiny little wheel for Hoi Hoi and then like a little herb for Luna and a little like tree. Okay, so it's kind of like wire art. We're going to say that you had kind of put together. So yeah, you had plenty of time to do little things like that and leave them on the grave. Sure. But as Ash is walking up to Hoi Hoi's first, they're like to say quietly more to like the grave and themselves than anybody really. They as they placed a wheel they say, I'm sorry, I wasn't faster and able to stop your death. And then he'll move on. Is anyone else leaving anything on the graves? Are there like any like stones in the area? There's like rocks and stuff. Yes, you could find rocks. I would try to see ones that maybe look not like precious or anything like that, but just. I've seen people do it before. Well, they'll leave like a stone on these. How about this? You know, Sage has that bag of miscellaneous crap. Okay. Oh, the glass. I'm aware of a lot of her bones in that. I put my hand out to sage and be like, I'm taking my do. Excuse the fuck are you? Sage, if you do give him to him, all you have to do is adjust the cost of the bag by one with the question mark to drive. And that's the new maximum maybe value that this item has. Okay, fun. I give him a little stupid stones. Okay, you give him three and he would place each of those glass stones on each of their headstones. Sage is going to think that that's also from sage to. So as as her van goes over there and he does it and he has this moment with them. Sage is standing back and she's not going to go and we did a great thing today. Sage is going to go over to Corrin and go, um, here's this thing back and give the. I looked down at the flask and I just looked down at her and smirk softly and I say thanks. I was going to walk over to each individual burial site and just whisper something softly to myself. Okay. So just a prayer, something softly, no one hears it is something personal. It's a secret between you and the dead and maybe puggle. So, um, Corrin, you can add to your inventory the small flask. Okay. And on consumption, it will remove all negative status effects from you. And it will give you liquid courage, which will add three LF to your next attacks total damage. At a minus five hit. Okay. Okay. Is anyone else adding anything to these graves? I think the only one who hadn't really gone was. Luke hasn't gone, uh, uh, to be honest, I don't think Luke will have the most open up to do anything here. It's it's hard for him to just stare at Shelley grave as is completely fair. But he does, I don't know. Luke is in it. Um, he lost so many family members. Uh, honestly. As we have in this struggle, Mira is going to look at you and she's going to gently take you by the hand. And she's going to walk you towards the graves. And she is going to pull out a small ribbon. And she ends up kind of putting the glass and the stones that the people have left on top of it to kind of drape it running down the sides of these headstones. And she does that for each of them. And once you finish and you're at Shelley's, she does look at you and go, if you want to say something to her, I can walk back and you can have a moment alone. Thank you, Mira, I appreciate it. Chinat and walks away. Uh, my feels, my feels hurt. Okay. So Luke will kneel and he subconsciously pulls out the touch that Shelley was holding in her final moments. And he will say, I don't know why you are the reason for you to hold on to this in your final moments. But I will keep it on me as a memorial piece to remember you by I am sorry. I wasn't fast enough to hope you it. And then Luke will start choking up and he tries to force the rest of his sentence out, but can't. And you will stand up and you will currently attach this church to his belt. So you can add the torch as an accessory to your character. Thank you as memento of Sherry or Shelley, rather not Sherry. Thank you. Thank you. We've been talking about that flask. Speaking of liquor, since we finished the scene and everyone's going to have rested for the night. Let's take our 15. We'll get back together. 845 so feel free to mute P poop grab a sneaky snack and we'll be back. And we're going to come back healed. Correct. Yes, so come back healed. So we ended with the funeral. The night has come and gone. You are all fully healed. Go ahead and set yourselves back to your maximums. I can't heal what I didn't lose. I did because of it. I killed a whole person without taking damage. Yeah, near the end of the fight after we had murder bits, everybody else. Listen. It's almost like he's working with the enemy. Me, me and my sister lost in an alburning house. No one thought to go help us. So we were busy. And I was busy trying to survive in a burning house fire. So you can't really be bad. I'm not in a fight where I'm currently fighting for survivors. Me and my sister's survivor in an alburning house. A clay. Yes. We never did our thing that we supposed to do in the new home. What? You told so much I don't even know what you're talking about. I'm trying to think. Give me a second. What? Now you bring it up a topic that you don't even have to put your top. Me and hey, it was supposed to spin. Go to the. The first. Oh, yes, yes, yes. The forest. So we can talk about that. Yeah, I'm so sorry. We took our 15 minute break. I did forget. Not only are you going, but so is Heyaroo. Or Hi, a group. I was going to get that name correct. It's Mr. I'm going to get that name correct. I don't think. I don't think. Do you look at you and kind of looks around? You can tell he really wants to ask you something directly. But he's really withholding. Hi, Arute. Hi, Arute. Is there anything you can think of to try and make this guy more comfortable with you? Hi, Arute. Say we're going to ask you. Are you hungry? I have a peach from one of our village trees from earlier. And it's pretty good. So you said that he looks a little surprised by the randomness of the question. But he nods and he goes, yes, I didn't want to take anything from the grove without permission. After all, it is a sacred space. And he's going to take the peach from you and begin eating it. As he does, you can tell his guard is starting to drop. Do you want to try asking him a question directly? Yes. Well, he's eating the peach. Hi, Arute's going to look at him and say, what are you hoping to find with me? And so he's enjoying the peach. You can tell he's actually kind of like lost in a fair moment. You're not sure when the last time he ate or if it's the most delicious peach he's ever had. He absentmindedly answers you between bites and he just goes, why someone connected to the, and he stops himself and looks at you and goes green and pauses as he couldn't quite stop himself from fully speaking. And then he puts the rest of the peach away and goes, I am looking for someone who's connected to the green. I believe that we are about to embark on a very dangerous time for these lands. And according to, believe it or not, a prophecy, there is supposed to be someone born in a remote, safe, sacred space that is connected to the green itself. And then he grimaces and goes, honestly, I have been in your village for a few days now. And I was watching that Shelley girl. She seemed to be a prime candidate for it. And then he looks to you and goes, however you may also be the one. Hi, Arute, she's going to stare at him with a blank expression and say, well, I don't know what to tell you. I am again, not human. I probably have more connection to the green as you call it than them due to my, he's going to motion up and down himself. My person. So when you say that, he does smile and he goes, yes, but I do mean not quite so literally the green. You know of the green, don't you? One of the three primary elements of this world. Does Hiya root know of that? You grew up in a small town. I mean, you got a sacred forest and, you know, sometimes you chit-chat with a tray, but. Probably not your area of expertise. Hiya root's going to shake his head now. So when you do that, he thinks for a moment goes, I suppose that does make sense given the region. And he looks around and goes, however, it's the perfect place for someone like you to be. And then he thinks for a moment goes, I'm not convinced that you're the one. But maybe through some kind of chance, the green has sent a backup in case. And then he looks over towards the blood and it kind of just shakes his head and goes, I really do wish the head had a moment to speak with her. She had a natural gift for this place, more so than the average person. And then he does look at you again and goes, but you are a pretty compelling contender yourself. Well, what is your next steps then? He looks at you and kind of less uncomfortable and he goes, well, you do remember I mentioned that there is a prophecy and terrible times coming to the land. That I'm looking for someone who is to be connected to the green. According to the prophecy, the one connected to the green will awaken the guardian and they will help banish the darkness from the lands. So how do you feel about trying to awaken ancient deities or perhaps slumbering mystical beasts? Well, I've always been one to want to explore. So if that gets me out of here, then maybe that's yours. You want to explore? Yes, a tree folk. Yes. So I see new things, not the same old thing every day. He leans in closer to you and he goes, do you ever feel your call to a far away place? Yes, quite often. So he's going to Nango, excellent, excellent. You could very well be the one. You do know you have to go there, right? That place, if you are the prophesized one, that is where the guardian waits to be awakened. Here it's gonna nod. So you'll take this journey then. You'll go and find the guardian awaken it and save these lands. Can you elaborate on what this darkness is that you think is coming? And he kind of shrinks a little bit, that question he goes, well, how well versed are you in ancient prophecies exactly? Not well. Alright then, ancient prophecies are notoriously lacking detail and unfortunately they do not describe this great darkness except for that we should know it by the devastation it lays to the lands itself. And he just shrugs and goes, possibly a second blight, I'm not sure what's to come. Well, hopefully not a second blight, that would be almost devastating. The nods at that and goes, exactly. So I ask you again, will you take this quest, will you be the one we need? Will you be accompanying me? Dave looks at you and nods and goes, I can assist you as far and as best I can. I can't promise to be too helpful in combat, but I'm well versed in prophecy, arcane languages and magical devices. And what is your name? I don't think we have properly introduced ourselves. So he looks at you and he smiles and he goes, Orion. And I am higher root, but I believe you've already known that. He nods and goes, yes, and a pleasure to meet you. I wish I had just met you a little sooner and he looks over towards your friend's blood puddle. Well, I think that it would be unwise with me to leave you out here if you would like to accompany me back to the village. We do have a place for you to stay. He nods and allows you to lead the way. And we go back to the village and I do want to take him back to Grandma Ma. That's good. He will follow you. We're going to head towards Grandma Ma, but before that, Luke, you are patrolling the gardens. Is there anything that you'd like to do while you're out there? It's the dead of night. Most people are asleep and we'll say that you've completed a little round in the area. You haven't obviously gone the full 500 acres, but you've kind of circled back to check on higher root and you've noticed that he and the wizard are gone. Unless you're gone, Luke. I meet it because I do have noise going in the background, my fault. You're good. No, inside. Appreciate it. There is. Did Luke see anything? Luke is trying to figure out what's so important about this church that she literally gave her life to keep holding on to this. And so he's looking to see around and seeing what could be connected to this church or. So, Luke, as you're looking around and the question's eating way to mirror kind of notices and nods and goes, I've been thinking about it a lot too. And the only thing I can think of is the bandit must have been trying to burn down the grove, right? Luke will think on it is like it would make the most sense. So, she gave her life to this grove. So, if someone was to try to burn it down, I'm pretty sure she will fight them for it too. She nods and goes, "The only thing I don't understand is the sacred grove isn't just sacred to us, it's sacred to all the people in the kingdom. Why would someone try and tamper with something that feeds most of the region?" Something's not right here, sis. I can't grab my head around it, it's something's. Someone's trying to make this world fall out and they took away something that was important to me. And when I find them, it won't go well, sis. My parents did not slowly at that and go, "Yeah, but I think we're missing some pieces right now. We should try and pay attention." And then she thinks and goes, "There are a few other sacred groves as well. I wonder if those ones are okay." I agree. I wonder too. You're right, we should keep an eye out on the other ones if they happen to go in the areas that they are on. Oh, no, go ahead. No, go ahead and finish. Right now, I think we should focus on the mission that the Elder has given us. And then it will go days out. Mira is going to stand with you for a few moments in silence as well before the two of you head back. Yes. And that will bring the night to an end. So now that it's a new day, you're all, of course, going to meet up pretty early. Unfortunately, you don't have much of a choice. And Granny Lulu is up at the crack of dawn and she immediately sticks an eager or vain and a completely not happy to be present sage to gather and round up the rest of you. Are we going to roleplay that or are we just saying it happened? I would like you to at least pick two players that you have rounded up and how that scene goes. So Irving, since you're in charge of this, who do you go to round up first? I am going to go get ash. Orvane would go to where he would assume that ash was residing for the night and knock on their door or the door of whatever place they were residing in to wake them. Go ahead and roll a D 100 real quick. I would like a six to your hire to wake up ash as he's asleep. It's a 12. You knock knock knock and there's no response from the inside. So tell some fire. No. Yeah. All right. Us. Sage you. Yes, you're asleep. This is early. Sage. You're there with Orvane. You're watching as your brother knocks seemingly pointlessly on the door that will seemingly never open, at least by your account. You've been here for ever. Orvane would look at sage and say, do you have any ideas? Shut the fuck up. And she walks and she tells us after telling Orvana, she goes around to like one of the windows and just climbs on it. In fact, there's a moment where you can't get the window open. Sage because it has been locked. But of course, ash always locks their windows. They just think they forget to lock them when you have gotten in. And you take your dagger and just Jimmy in between and pop the latch and then the window smoothly opens for you. Um, yeah, and so that I so that I'm in. So I'm in ash's room and I'm just staring. You want to open the bedroom window and just stare over them like a sleep paralysis. Okay. Ash. I need you to roll. I want you to roll 85 or higher. Not to be paralyzed in fear at this moment. 78, okay, ash, you open your eyes and there they are. They're standing above you. It's just like it was that day that day you were on the floor covered in blood, the blood of your parents. They're looking at you leering forward and you know you're going to die too. Wake the fuck up bitch and then that jars you out of it as you realize it is sage standing above you. Still who has no right to be in your house. Sage, what the fuck? Grandma sent me an order to come get everybody fucking up. I don't want to be up. I'm mad. Where are we up? Get ready. You couldn't come through the goddamn door at least and not over my bedroom window like a fucking creep. We knocked. You didn't answer. Knock louder next time. I don't do this. I almost fucking punched you out. Sage roll a D 100. A 42. 42. Possibly. There was a moment ash was staring at you. Maybe they were trying to fully restrain themselves from punching. Whatever. Sage just walks out the front door. Or vein, of course, at this moment you hear shouting from inside. The door opens. Sage comes walking out. As she walks out, he would give her like a star and I and be like. Sage. Really? He would look over into the building because the door is open now and look towards Ash and be like, I'm fucking sorry. Grandma said to get everybody up. She didn't say what methods are we had to do it and I want and I was waking up early. I am mad. I don't want to do this, but Grandma will beat me with her slipper. Ash is running there. She's not going to be the only one who's going to be beating you, breaking into people's houses. Ash is just sitting on the bed at the moment, still running their hand through their hair. As they tend to do when they're fucking nervous and a little anxious. And they just wave them. Wave off both stage and or vein. Say it's fine. I'll meet you guys out there. Just go, please. Perfect. So, or vein, Sage, you have successfully gathered one party member. I will mention, which I should have said sooner. Higher route is in fact at Granny Lulu's already with the wizard. Currently, they are kind of running through the things that they had talked about last night, which will skip to save some time. But who say the party member? You're going to grab. I would go for low up, not low eight. Corrin. Corrin. Okay. Corrin. So, Corrin, yes. You're going to approach Corrin's home. As you do, of course, still pretty early. Corrin might be easier to wake up. You're going to need a 50 year higher to knock and wake them up. I'm going to try to knock on the window this time, because I think that it might rattle a little bit more than the door. Okay, so you want to knock on their bedroom window? Oh, my God. That's why I can't. Can I respond? Yeah, hold on. This will be good. Corrin, let me set you up first. So, Corrin, you're actually lying awake in your bed. Puggle has been trying to get you up for the past 10 minutes to feed him. You keep trying to tell Puggle that they have to wait. And that is when you hear knock, knock smash. And your window has a hand through it. You hear or they scream out as, unfortunately, a few charts of glass get caught in his arm. And he asked to immediately tend to his own wound. Oh, great. See, and this is why you leave the windows to me. I said, welcome to the window. So, welcome to the window and take a deep sigh. I just take a rag. I shove it out the window to hand to Orvane. And I said, yes. Grandma must summoning us. Do you think it might be more beneficial for you to use my door? We tried that. No, we didn't. That was his fucking. We tried that at the last place. They didn't hear us. I was trying to skip all sage breaking into your house. And as much as I appreciate sage not defiling my doorstep again, it is just a matter of knock, knock, knock. And Puggle would have come running to let me know. Puggle is, of course, on the floor. And throughout all the broken glass, he does cautiously walk through it, picks up a piece of wood that used to be part of the window frame, and carries it off as a stick into the corner of the room and begins chewing on it. Who's your good Puggle? I just roll my eyes and I say inform the elder I will be out in momentarily. OK. Then I go feed the dog. So, it's the two of you exit Korn's house and he's taking care of Puggle. It is at this point that you are going to see Luke and Mira walking out of their house and she is turning towards you. Luke and she goes, "Oh, the spirits say we're lucky that we didn't get woken up first." And she's just going to walk by and head towards the elder. Luke follows, smiling and holding his hand out, shaking his hand into a prayer stance. I was like, "Thank goodness, thank goodness." As Mira does walk by or maybe she does reach out to your bandage and she tightens it a little for you on a part that was loose and then without stopping, she just reaches over and tightens it more and keeps going. So, you will all meet up back at the elders. And here she's standing with your new wizard friend and she is going to look over to you all and go, "All right, you know the mission, you know the job." And she motions and you see the new improved wagon which has you a little brokenhearted as it does have an automated door which was originally the track that Hoy Hoy used to use to get in and out of his vehicle, the one that was jammed when he tried to escape his attacker. And she turns to and goes, "We've loaded you up with enough supplies. You should be able to make it to both villages and back with no issue." And then she waves a finger and goes, "But if you dilly dally and go off anywhere, you're going to have to get more supplies or you won't make it back." "Do you understand?" she says to the entire group. "Yes, Elder." "Yes." "Yes, Grandma Ma." "And her stud." Karin gives a two-finger salute. So she nods and goes, "Perfect. This wizard is going to be joining you." She motions towards the mysterious man and goes, "He apparently has some kind of prophecy he thinks. Our good friend Haya route is the only one who can solve." And she rubs her the bridge of her nose and goes, "Honestly, I would normally call bold shit on something like this, but you've lived as long as I have. You know that these prophecy things aren't something you fuck with." And she is going to turn her attention to sage and wiggle a finger and go, "That means if something comes up and it's up to you to make sure this prophecy thing works out, you make it a priority." And she points at Monty and goes, "And that's a double cell for you." "No." Monty also just gives big watery eyes, like shocked Pikachu face. She then motions of course for you guys and goes, "The wagon is supplied with some things I think will be helpful for you." And at this point, she is going to show you the inside of the wagon and I'll bring you over here. Pretty wagon. Oh, map. Inside the wagon, you have a map of the area and of course it is put together pretty hastily. And of course the elder points and goes, "I've marked the locations nearby that you need to pay attention to." And then she of course goes, "Notice the one in red that says the twilight woods, stay out of the twilight woods." It is not safe there and you're not supposed to dilly dally. She looks at you again sage. Why am I getting all the shade? It's not, it's not shade if it's accurate. She then, of course, is going to point and go, "I would recommend that you head to seize edge first." Then for me, go ahead. No, it's not. After you. I'm sorry, Granny Lilo. I was going to say, "You know, wherever you recommend, we will go first." She nods and goes, "Seize edge is a little closer than new buyer. You can head to new buyer after seize edge and should take you roughly the same time between here and there." And she then looks to you again and goes, "And you will stay out of the twilight woods. It is not safe there." Holy understand. Stay out of the woods, got it? No promises of L.A. I'm sure this mysterious prophecy will not suddenly lead us into the twilight woods at all. Nope, never. She looks at you and shakes her head and goes, "Even if it does, you would not be prepared for the twilight woods." And so, Simon, your keyboard is so loud, girl. Thank you. I forgot I mean, I'm sorry. You're good, you're good. I couldn't focus. I was wondering what that noise was. So at this point, the elder looks to you and goes, "Is everything clear? Do you understand?" No woods, seize edge. She nods and goes, "Excellent. And I'm going to leave it in your care. While you're gone, we'll take care of the village. Get everything strained up as much as possible. And hopefully, we won't have any other issues in between now and then." I'm going to return you to the regular map. And she looks over to Angus. Unfortunately, most of the goods that Hoyleoy had left were burned in the fire. She looks over to Sage and at Orvane and goes, "I suppose looting his corpse so early was not a terrible idea." Orvane would give a small smirk to that, not letting her see this, though. Yeah. He does not want to incur that wrath. I didn't lose his corpse. She nods slowly, just because you didn't get to a first stage. I mean, that's fair. Are you sure you want to send all of us, Eldersh, and someone, like, what if something happens while we're all gone? She looks at you and shakes her head and goes, "If more are coming, they're going to have to come the way you'll be going." So, honestly, it's kind of a twofold. You'll run into anyone coming at us and if the other villagers need help, that should buy us some time as well. If we run into anybody in the villages that can come back here, would you have us send them back here to help or be in our stead as we travel? She looks around and goes, "Well, our village is short on specialists. If you find a doctor, a merchant, or a doubt will ever find anyone as talented as Shelley. We could use a carpenter in the village." All right. So, we're looking for a doctor, a carpenter. And did anybody else cast the last, she said, he says to the group, because he does not want credits or be yourself. But a doctor, a merchant, and a. And a merchant. Thank you. You ever remember, "Oh, I hate the merchant. You looted after he was just dead." Oh, yes. Yes. We will definitely be on the lookout for those Granny Lula. She nods and goes, "I doubt you'll find them all in the same place, but if you get lucky, feel free to bring them all back." At that point, Neil is going to come running over towards you and go, "Orveen, orveen, wait." And he seems to be mildly out of breath as he tries to get his composure. And then he hands you your outfit and goes, "I got all the blood out, and I tried to make sure that it was like new. Here, hopefully it'll keep you safe." Orveen would gladly take it from him with a big smile on his face. But has he been shirtless this whole time? Yes. He has. Yes, his water, his ice bucket challenge, then he got tripped on. Sages in the corner, like, "Neil and Thainy, Nanatry." Stage hides her sash under the boards. When you say, "I'm grateful to my grandparents," my round goes, "Well, I guess we'll all be extremely busy over the next couple days." She is going to walk towards her house and she goes, "I wish you all the best. There's no point in dilly-dally. It's time to go." Before we leave, can I have a moment with Granny Lulu? Yeah, she's going to look over at you. She does give you a side eye and goes, "Will you never listen to a single command I give?" You do know I need the village, don't you? Yes, Granny. Now, it's very pertinent. I just wanted to ask, "Does the wizard, and I'm saying this out of your shadow, everybody, does a wizard who is here, does his attire look familiar to you?" She looks at him, looks at you, and she shakes her head and goes, "I don't recommend it from anything particular, but I never cared much for prophecies and adventure and all that. That was your parent's obsession, not mine. I just wanted to live a simple life, run a simple apothecary, but look how it is now." And she motions towards some of the burnt roofs. Or if anyone would give her an understanding nod, there would be a. I guess a hidden question, she knows why he was asking the question, and then he would return back to the group. So at this point, you guys have the wagon, sage is in front, ready to pull. It is about five times her size. I am a magic class, not a physical class, so this is gonna be fun. Yeah, so essentially, the reality of what is happening here is as you are already, and you take your first step, and then realize that the wagon is not following, and you will turn around and look. You see a struggling sage, red in the face, names pulsing out of her neck. She is driving at everything she has to pull this wagon behind her. And Monty just goes, "You assume he's asking for help, but only sage here's." Damn, you really need to stop skipping like day. That ass just kind of sighs and walks over and will like step next to sage, like is there space for more than one person? Yeah, she's standing in the middle, so it's basically got like the setup with the two wooden beams, like you would attach it to a horse, but like you guys don't have an animal for that right now at the village, it's really not your thing. So, yeah, um, so actual step next door and start helping her push, and by helping her, he means just take over. How big is sage? Like is she big enough that Orvane could go over and just pick her up? How big are you sage? Um, I'm like, I want to say that I'm like, maybe in between 5254, I'm more on the shorter side, but. He would go over and attempt to pick her up and say to her like scoot over squeak as he goes to like move her. And I want to ask you with my heroic strength, would that help assist move this car easier? Yeah, you didn't make a plot roll for that if you would like. Okay, I have heroic strength as well, so. Okay, so, um, all right, so what I was going to say is I'll let you roll once. So we're going to use the 67 we just got, but I'll let you both add your heroic strengths to it since you're both using it together. Okay, so mine is 10. So that's a 77 already. And what is mine is a five a five. Okay, so that's more than enough that you guys broke over 80 with that. And as you are pulling the cart, it's actually pretty light with the two of you going, which is surprising because for reference, this cart is large enough for all of you to be able to sit inside of it. And it does have a little bit of space. It's a large caravan. This is something more like maybe a traveling performer would have. Um, however, you know, again, it's been kind of custom built out of two different carts that were put together. So and without any kind of like animal to pull it. Um, you guys are going to have to take turns guiding us. So, but right now, yeah, you're making excellent pace and you'll be able to go. Man, I was really excited to pull the cart. That's just Pat Pat Sage's head as he walks by us as maybe when you're maybe when you're a little stronger. Well. Okay, so you guys are going to make your way down the road towards the next village. As you saw from the world map, there are a couple dashes between you and it. Um, essentially for right now, each dash on the map is going to represent a day to travel to that location. So it is three days to get to seize edge. I was going to give a little penalty for the fact that you're man handling this wagon. However, since between ash and or vein, you are able to travel as if you have no penalties towards you right now. Um, you guys will just make your trip in the same amount of time, essentially giving ash and or vein chances to rest like you would a horse. If they were pulling the wagon. I imagine two of you just after like an eight hour walk going over to a river and just like leaning forward and drinking out of it. I was just like like face workers. Or vein would use those moments to take those sharp ass. That's perfect. My son. Neil. Listen. Or vein is. He's they're stopping himself. He feels himself. I will say that as you guys are traveling, you are about 15, 20 minutes into the travel when you hear sneeze from inside the wagon. Oh, mother fucker. And as you look inside to see who has stowed away, you see Mira sitting there. And she looks up at you wide eye and goes, uh, excuse me. She smiles and stands up and goes, I couldn't let you go without me. Could be dangerous out there. What's gonna happen? He doesn't argue. He's just glad he has somebody he's really close to. So he helps her down in a. He won't even try to argue her to go back home. So of course, do keep in mind, Luke, that your sister is sickly. She is frail and prone to illness. But yes, she has come with you on this journey. Like I said, he doesn't argue, but he is happy and everything. But he, he's side side sort of. Could it someone useful stowed away? I mean, no offense. She looks at you a little offended and she goes, I'm useful. Why would you say something like that, especially coming from the person who we have to lock down our belongings around? Mira, it's not that we don't appreciate you coming along. But it's like you said, it's dangerous. And I don't think it'd be a good idea for you to come along. What if you got hurt? It might distract Luke and cause more problems. She kind of just stares at you and goes, I'm so sorry, Ash. Did I ask for your opinion? She turns back to her brother and she's gonna grab onto his arm and just stand there and like, that ass look you with me eyes, Ash. Ash is not as looking between Mira and then side eye, Luke. And it's just like, you got to do something. I want to say it for the record that if you she gets herself in a situation where she needs rescued from, I am not going to be part of the rescue party. Who's gonna get close? Anyways, I gotta say, Luke is, he's for it, but he's also very, very of her condition. And he wants her to come with him so much. So she will look at you as you are concerned. As again, Mira does seem to be pretty in tune with you and you with her. And she shakes her head because, look, it's not like I did this just to do it. The spirit said I should come along and they're never wrong. Oh, I will let it be known Luke actually 100% trust her when she's in her and her spirits and everything. So that's all he needed to hear. And this is up to the group you can each individually choose whether or not you truly believe that Mira commutes with spirits. You do know that she has been scouted before by a priest of the old gods. But whether or not she truly has gift has always been up for question. Some of the things she tells them that the dead tells her are things people really wish not to believe. But how much of that is denial and how much of that is her actually being untruthful is really up in the air. Or vein would probably be indifferent like it's neither here nor there for him. But he would because she a sick though correct and it's known to everybody that she sick sickly so she's easy to get sick. Yeah, this is basically if anyone in the group gets cold, she's catching it too. It's like that. She's out in the rain without a coat. She's getting sick, you know. She has a personality skill where if she gets hit with a debuff, they have twice the negative impact and have twice the duration on her. Yeah, or vein would look at her and suggest her. Mira, it might be best if you actually stay in the car. We can we've already carried you this far with ease. I'm perfectly okay with you saying in the car and resting along the way. You end up getting sick. Yeah, if you end up getting sick as we travel, it'll be even harder to deal with. I will say you guys have only been like walking and talking for about five minutes and she is sweating on her forehead. And so when you say that she looks at you and smiles and goes, I wouldn't mind going back at the car and sitting for a while. She is reluctant, but at the mention of the spirit, he'll, he'll hesitantly accept it. He's had minor experiences with that kind of thing. So he's not usually one question that stuff. But as this, I will say I will stay near the entrance of the car and everything. Corn, we'll believe that she is. Oh my god, sorry wrong campaign. Yes, I was I'm sorry. I was just going to say that corn would probably believe that she has to tell him. Sage, where do you fall on the believer disbelief button? Sage kind of doesn't really believe her, but she should believe her if Monty says she says it's true. So funny thing you ask, Monty has talked to you about it before and all he'll really say about her is that bitch is unsettling. And that's all he really has in the opinion of her. And in fact, not you think about it, Sage. Usually when mirrors around, Monty makes some kind of excuse to get away from her temporarily. Like he usually hangs out exclusively on you, but if you go too close to her, you guys are like talking face to face. He comes up with some excuse or need or whatever to be elsewhere and then joins you as soon as you leave her presence. So he's not a fan. He's not hiding from her per se, but he's definitely like a bird on a branch watching in the distance rather than like letting her get close enough to have a conversation. You make Monty feel uncomfortable, so I'm going to go up to the front. So when you say that, she looks a little hurt and goes, he's uncomfortable by me. Yeah, he says you creep out, you creep out. And Monty just nods when you say that. And she looks heartbroken. She looks devastated. I don't think that was really necessary, Sage. I was about to say the same thing. I don't think that was. He would need it. Okay, yeah, but like does because something is true. Doesn't mean you need to say it. Or even look over to Ash and be like, people skills does not say just strong suit. You'll learn that quickly enough. That's why I steal things from people. It helps me get some connection with them. Yeah, the connections when we find out you stole it. So you continue your journey. It's a tense couple days. After the second day of Mira tag along with you guys and you're not running into any bandits, you're feeling pretty confident at least that there isn't going to be an immediate second attack. If at all a second attack on your village, perhaps this really was just a fluke. After all, you guys are so out in the middle of nowhere. What really are they doing? They're stealing produce, you know. And so at this point, you have reached seaside village. And as you enter, you're going to find, I'm sorry, seas edge. As you guys enter, you are going to find yourselves kind of walking through a little bit of a quiet town. And as you're going, the first everything seems really nice and peaceful. And you start noticing that the few villagers you see around looking incredibly nervous. Hello. We wish to talk to people. As you do that, a middle aged man comes over and he looks very uncomfortable. And he goes, yes, hi, how can we help you? Well, you can go. You're probably more than a person than I am. It's very confused. This is the two of you go back and forth that you look very similar. And he would or vein would like Jesuit or say, this is my little sister sage. It's nice to meet you. My name is or vein. We come from. Fairthorn. Fairthorn. I was going to say a neighboring village. Thank you for that, Sage. We come from Fairthorn. I will note that I do have five persuasion. So I just want to note that. We are currently looking to see if everything was okay here. Our village was attacked by a group of bandits. They came as traveling merchants. And we're hiding bandits inside that leads siege to our village. We lost a few people as well. Have you had any troubles here? So when he said that he looks a little uncomfortable at you and goes, no, no, we haven't had any issues in our village. Bandits. It's so silly. We're out in the middle of nowhere. Who would even come here? We're just a port town. And he looks over towards the port. And you can tell that he is sweating. You don't even have to make a role on this. He is very, very scared to the point where his hands are trembling as he's talking to you. Or vein would notice this and ask him, is there anything in like in a hush tone in case anybody is around in your shot to here. He would ask, is everything okay here? He looks to you and nods and says, oh, yes, yes. No, everything is fine. Everything is okay here. No one has, has any problems. Honestly, it's, it's all good. In fact, you should be on your way if you've just come to see if we're all right. We are, we are all right. Well, we travel all this way. Couldn't we sleep here for the night? We also were hoping to get supplies for rebuilding Farathorn since some of our buildings were damaged if you have any despair. So when you say that, he looks uncomfortable and he goes, I could ask for you. Do you want to wait here? I'll go ask. Do you have a filler joker? He looks at you and nods very slowly, his eyes are wide and he goes, yes. And then slowly walks off towards the docks. Looking at the rest of the group, or rain would say to them, sometimes it's not right about this. Monty, should we sneaky sneak? Should we go tipi-toe? See what's going on? So Monty is just going to go. Yeah, obviously this place is fucked. Tipi-toe, I don't go tipi-toe. The sage might want to stay with the group. Don't split the party. If you do, then observation only. Well, I just want to pick he seemed very, very worried about that over here towards the port. So I'm just going to go look, look, let me go look. Come on, it's my only useful skill. I don't know how to ask this. Do you have sneak? Do you have something to make yourself not get caught? So you do know, or vein, and everyone else, that sage is pretty sneaky. It is how she steals most of your things. Or vein, the only reason why she's not a sneaky around you is because you know all of her tricks. When or vein trust that she wouldn't get caught gets way a lot more than she gets caught. And again, it's not that we're being himself is like overly observant. It's just again that you know sage like the back of your hand. Yeah, she can't breathe without you here in it. Him knowing that she would probably never let him live this down. But at the same time will reluctantly knowing that if anything happens to her, it's going to be his head with Granny Lulu. He's going to tell her you can but stay in eyesight. How the fuck is that going to help us? Fight. Won't help us at all. I think you could literally go around the village, just stay with an eyesight. She's going through the dock. What do you mean? Is it an eyesight? So sage, you're heading to the dock. Yeah, I guess I'll probably head towards like the South region. Yeah, so essentially from where you are, you guys are kind of like in the dead center of the main dock area or the port, if you will. If you were to keep following the main road, which turns into cobblestone eventually. You would be crossing the wooden bridge in front of you, heading to what you assume is the main house because that's where the guy went. So if you want to follow him, you're looking at heading straight down the road, essentially further east into the village. I would probably move forward into the village, so if sage was, we're like, I'm trying to ping this, how do I ping? If sage were like over here and I was like on the dock, I could still see here. Yeah, so from where you guys are, you can see down the dock. There's nothing obstructing the view. I mean, it's essentially flat. I mean, you're in the middle of the town, essentially. The houses are more spread out since it seems to be over a bigger area. And again, a lot of it does seem to be fixated at the docks themselves. So there's only houses on the land. And then most of them are built right on the edge or if not out on the water. All right, I would move forward on the dock to where then if sage went around the building, I could see her through the passageway here. Okay, so if you want, you can move a little bit forward, go ahead and move the characters. I can just see where you're going visually. You moved like way out. Oh, you moved way up. You're over on the wood of the bridge. Yeah, you moved. Where's the dock? I thought that was the dock. You are heading there. Yeah, but you're like, you're like halfway there yourself that you're, I was saying that's going to raise suspicion. Yeah, you probably, you could probably make it like here or not. Yeah, suspicious. Oh, okay. Yeah, you're going way in. Yeah, you were like deep dive in that shit. Yeah, you were like three feet from the door of the main building. Yeah, no, it looks like it's a really long dock to me. So I was like, I'll just go halfway up and wait. So sage is end up going to go this way and like peak around. Okay, so sage, you're going to head south a little bit. I do want you to roll stealth. You're doing your D100. What rent? Like what skill are you in stealth right now? Hold on. My sneak is a five. Okay, so you're going to get a plus five to whatever you roll. What did I get? Oh, no. 16. So sage, you're not off to a great start. As your quote, quote, sneaking, you literally got your tippy toes. And you begin singing the tippy toe song. Oh, no. Hold on. I must clear this bullshit. Oh, then you got that would have a 92. That's crazy. Yeah, there was some good rolls. 18 though. We're way worse. Okay. Got it. Got a clear. All right. So and then I'm like, shit, I can't seem the tippy toe song. Hey, so you get about a few feet in. Good news is sage. Nobody really seems to be around over here. Monty is looking around with you. And he does race and eyebrows. You say that and goes. How the fuck are we supposed to do this without our jam? Well, we got a, people don't know us. So we got to be quiet. We got to be quiet. Damn it. So he nods and goes, all right, I'll sing it for you. And he's like, tippy, tippy, tippy toes. We're gonna get some shit. And no one gonna tippy nose. What does it sound like to people who don't understand him? Yeah, he's just going. And that's like all you care. Oh, do I need a role again? I think destination and then yes, I need another role. Okay. I'm going to disobey Orbeans orders about being in sight and go around the corner. Okay. Of course you are. Go ahead and make your role. And 84. 84, which is better. Yeah, with your five makes an 89. 89. So you are smoothly moving now. As literally you're going to the is getting to the point. I mean, you're stealthily popping your way through. Do I notice anything in these buildings? Yeah. As you're peering in, see, what you're starting to see is that a lot of these buildings, they have like storage shelving stuff like that, but the products aren't on the shelves. They're all out in the middle. As if they just got there or maybe they're believing there. But they're not stored for long term use. Uh oh. Oh, this sucks. Um. As you get into. Yeah. Monty just driving on the air in front of you. Monty should be keep going or should. Or do you think this is enough information to know that this is not. That these these guys are fucked. Hey, let's do and kind of shrugging us. I mean, we already knew there were fucking suspicious. So they kind of just see more suspicious now. So you check out this next house. And then and then we're turned report back. This is fucking and steal something. I'm okay. So I do do do do do do do. Okay. So sage make your way to the next big building. Met next. Go ahead and hit your roll for stealth. Fuck me. I'm fucked. It's a nine. A beautiful nine plus your five. So at this point, how this is going to be treated is. You look into the window here, sage. And as you peer inside, you see three dead villagers. The blood and bodies just stacked on one another. And at that point is when I would like every other player to make a roll. Whoever loves the lowest number is about to get sneak attack. Oh, that might be me. Oh, it might be higher. No, I'm going to. Oh, I want a 60. Okay. And because Mira is with you, I will have her role as well. And she seems. Oh, god. Oh, god. She's good. Yeah. She's actually seen inside the car. The sun was on her and she was like, I don't. The strictest thing I need to get out of the sun. I'm going to get burnt. She's like, get some of the car. It is like this happens. I just got some a car. I get stabbed. So essentially what's going to happen is. Hi, a route. This is going to be counted. Basically as a back attack. So I'm going to make the roll. It's a 48. So it is going to hit. But it's not going to crit you. Um, but this is what's going to happen. You're all going to see an arrow rip out of the sky. And pierce through high a route. Holy shit. I instantly covered Mira. Yeah, you're all going to be entering combat. So the way this is going to be treated is. The enemy is going to get a free round first. And your friend Sage is nowhere nearby. Oh, Sage. Oh, yay. They have a wizard or a herbalist person. That just means you need of one shot him. Got me. And if I get close enough, I probably can. Okay. So I think that was everybody. And with that said, we got a factor in some damage for you because the moment it's a new enemy. Hey, I root, what is your physical damage resistance? Three. Three. Okay. Well, that's pretty good. I will say this is going to still hurt. Because this Bowman has the sniper skill. And so what that does is for every difference in your elevation from their elevation. They are going to hit you for an extra damage. They are at a height of eight. You guys are at a height of zero because you're flat on the ground. So that will be eight extra LF added to the attack. Which is going to hurt. So yes, higher root. I will say this is a move that unfortunately is going to knock you down because I'm going to tell you right now. Yep. It is. It's a ton of damage. It is 15. Oh, my God. It's 15 right answer. Let me double check on my mind. When they knock them out. I'm sorry. But then you get your three. So it's 11. Yes, it does knock him out. So he is knocked out. You watch as a high root is standing there one moment. And in a high root just in one fell motion. Just kind of like balls of the ground. And that is when you know she is going down. So this is where we're going to end the episode when we come back next week. You guys will be starting in an ambush for combat. So once again, thank you for joining us for another episode of Dyson Ramos. I am your GM Clayton. And let's say goodbye. This is a or a vein better known as daddy vein. I hope everybody enjoyed the session today. And I look forward to next time. Hi, a root says Tim Burr. [Laughter] Claren says good night, everyone. Is that sweating a little being like, oh, no. We'll see you all next time. Sage regrets nothing for her actions. This is Luke probably going to lose some more people today. I might break. See you later. Maybe a dead sister will see. Perfect. I will let you know Luke would die before his sister. And he might. [Music]
