In this heartfelt and unapologetically candid episode, Benito and Mary Beth confront their messy, real selves—wearing unflattering clothes, showing post-laser skin, and openly discussing their unglammed, unpartnered lives. They embrace imperfection as a form of authenticity, arguing that showing up as "ugly" and unfiltered is essential in a world that demands polish. A central theme is the joy and intimacy found in sharing clothes, which they describe as a ritual of sisterhood, trust, and creative expression. They also reflect on deeper cultural shifts—like the rise of music, film, and social media that challenge norms around appearance, intimacy, and consent. Throughout, they promote various products, from hair and gut health to travel gear, while maintaining a playful, self-deprecating tone. The episode blends personal anecdotes with sharp social observations, such as the "ossification of Sadie Sink" and critiques of societal expectations around dating and body image. Ultimately, they advocate for vulnerability, radical honesty, and the power of shared experiences—especially in moments of discomfort, like waiting at baggage claim or navigating awkward conversations about sexuality. The hosts conclude by declaring their commitment to "riding" through life with authenticity, humor, and a deep sense of community, reinforcing that real connection comes from being seen, not just idealized.
The following podcast is a Dear Media production.
I'm Benito Skinner.
I'm Mary Beth Brown.
And this is Ride.
I don't even know how to start today, honestly.
Should we address our appearances?
Of course we have to, or else it'll consume us for the entire program.
We have boldly chosen to look like absolute dog shit today.
Shout out Sophie Pavett, but I just got an Aerolase laser for my rosacea.
It looks very dewy, I will say.
Well, thanks, sweetie, but it's red and blotchy.
I'm about 20 minutes post-laze, which I don't know if that was the smartest choice,
but. Look, we have to do stuff while we can.
If it fits in the schedule, you just have to do it and deal with the repercussions later.
A hundred percent.
I'm starting to schedule when I go to the bathroom, just based on the show.
And you have to.
For me, right now, I've just had glam a few times.
Glam privilege.
Wait, can I just say, we had glam done yesterday and I, like, didn't want to wash it off.
I know.
I felt really good about the glam.
I looked in the mirror and I said, I like him.
We went out to dinner because the glam was so good.
We had no intention of going out to dinner.
We would never not go to dinner if we've had glam done.
So we did do that.
And I loved the glam and I loved what, you know, my hair was looking like.
And I'm just glad we got to experience that.
But today we pay the price.
Of course we pay the price.
We're back into the pumpkin.
Well, this would happen to me all the time on this set.
If I ever compensated, I got to shut up about this stupid fucking show.
It's getting a little weird.
A little weird.
I know people have said we wore makeup in the show.
And I'm not turning my head at all.
Us in the weekend?
Because of the blemish that I had.
I'm not turning my head at all.
I should be downturned the whole time.
This is me doing the pod today.
I do it.
Literally, we go, oh, shite.
And I'm really sorry.
I definitely, I feel like there are some people that only listen and they don't watch.
And I don't want them to feel like they're not getting the full experience.
But I am sorry.
I guess that's just my big apology for the day.
And it won't be the last.
No, but we're trying our best to describe everything.
So I would say Mary Beth, I don't think looks bad at all.
I'm wearing the actress uniform.
I have a tube top on, sweatpants on.
I have pants that say on the butt, make yourself hard to kill from Hollywood GIFs.
Well, we're going to get into that with my ride.
Can't wait.
And then I have my New York Rangers hat on.
Let's go Rangers.
I don't know if I'm an actor.
I'm kind of like, I don't know what I am, but I'm blotchy and I'm so much cuter than this.
I can't believe we're doing this in our current era of not having partners and we look like this.
I think it's important.
We're unpartnered and ugly.
It's important to show that we are still real.
As we become less and less relatable in our day-to-day lives to our listeners.
Yeah.
As they go on.
As they go on to have kids.
Stylist.
We're in a writer's room, babe.
We got to show them.
You have off days too.
There's days when there's no glam.
You are completely turned.
There's no glam.
She hasn't looked at me fucking once.
Well, and I'm loving this new vibe, especially because the wall, when you look at it, it's
kind of dizzying.
Oh, the more you look at it, that's vertigo.
The more cross-eyed you become.
Yeah.
So.
Good luck.
I have some stuff to talk about.
Oh, well, the one thing I was going to say about overcompensating was, yeah.
Oh, the one thing?
Whoa.
I just lost my mic.
Oh, awesome.
I still hear you.
You mean you lost your headphones?
I lost my headphones.
I'm not going to let you get away with a mess up like that.
And you never would.
But yeah, it would be like you're all glammed out all week.
And then on the weekends, I would see myself in the mirror after a week's worth of work
and just be like, you got to kill me.
Well, that's what would happen.
You know, I had a lash extension era for like two years.
I was there.
I had no money.
I had no money.
Rare aesthetic.
Mary Beth Barone's lash extension era.
I had no money, but I would do the lash extensions.
They tape your eyes shut.
This was my time to just zen out because they tape your eyes shut.
That was me with my laser today.
See, I'm the opposite.
I actually know that also sounds kind of painful.
I like the heat of something on my like, I like a little pain.
I think it feels nice.
Well, but then when they all fall out, you're like, I guess I have to die.
And then one time I had a cough.
When I was getting them.
So I had to sit up with my eyes taped shut.
Like, you know, well, they also have like 50 women in a room with their eyes taped shut.
It's very that movie.
Oh, my God.
What's it called?
With Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson, where they're farming organs.
I'm supposed to say, don't worry, darling.
Very that.
Yeah.
What's that movie called?
Where it's like surrogates.
Do you remember in Don't Worry Darling when they were like, okay, let's make Harry Styles ugly.
He has facial hair.
And he's, well, there was a lot.
And they give him acne or something too.
Scarlett.
I was thinking about that.
I thought, yeah, it's called The Island.
Can I have a hot take here for one second?
I was completely enthralled with Don't Worry Darling.
And I think Florence Pugh, I could watch her in anything.
Me too.
So I had a great time.
And it was stylized.
Can I just say, stylizing a film and having interesting cinematography, it's going to go a long way for me.
We're going to talk about Eternity.
The vision was there.
Yeah.
Needless to say.
Needless to say.
So, yeah, lash extensions.
I have a new challenge along the lines of Kid LAROI is dating Tate McRae.
What is it?
Or should I say Tate McRae is dating Tate McRae?
And then to follow that, it's Tate McRae and the Kid LAROI broke up.
The Yassification of Sadie Sink.
Do you get that?
Is that an article?
No.
I just came up with that this morning.
Oh, so we're like, we're in our creative flow.
Oh, honey.
We're in flow.
Doesn't it have such a nice, like, rhythm?
I think if I was going to write a children's anthology or a children's. Wait, it just hit me.
Sorry.
It just hit me.
I'm like completely sitting with it.
I think it might be the most genius thing I've ever heard in my life.
I'm not kidding.
She looks amazing.
Can I just say?
Well, and I love her name.
Oh, you added more Yass.
It's Yassification.
Yeah.
You know, in Donnie Darko, when they're like,
cellar door is the most, like, satisfying mix of letters.
Cellar door.
Yeah.
For me, again, we're modernizing.
Fuck.
We're coming out with Bertrand.
We don't have that on it.
I think she'd be totally fine.
Her team would be like, we're happy with this.
By the way, this is, I'm praising.
I think she looks amazing.
It's really hard, I think, for child actors to make that transition into adulthood.
I've said this every day.
I say this every day to you.
I text you every single day.
I say, it's very hard.
It's very difficult.
Very, very difficult.
Well, Sabrina Carpenter.
Sabrina Carpenter.
I saw her on the Stranger Things red carpet, and I just thought to myself,
I just think she's doing really, really good work.
Stunned.
So, I'm very embarrassed to say that I've never seen Stranger Things,
but yesterday I said that to the writer's room, and everyone was like,
holy fuck, like, you have to watch it.
So, I guess, like, it'll just be one of those things I watch so late.
I kept thinking it was going to end, and then I was like,
I'll catch up at that point because I've watched two seasons.
Same.
But then it kept going.
So, I just need to wait for it all to be out,
and I can have some private time maybe over Christmas break or something.
It's across 10 years.
Sure.
Whatever is, like, haunting these kids is, like, addicted to them.
Yeah, no.
It's not good.
But by the end, they're going, okay, Sadie.
Okay, Sadie.
We're going to leave that one alone.
Yes, miss girl.
She's doing amazing.
Good for her.
I love that.
Good for her.
I can only hope I think of something as brilliant as that soon.
Well, you're in the writer's room.
You have a lot of – you're thinking of a lot right now,
and can I say a lot of what I'm hearing, it's as good as that or better.
Thank you, sweetie.
Hey, can I just say?
Thank you.
Don't.
We're bleeping that.
We're bleeping that.
But that's my favorite line.
I think it's my favorite line, too.
You know what I'm having that's so fun?
I don't.
Tell me.
Writing, flirting, I should do a master class on it.
I think it's the most fun thing in the world
because essentially, this is my big, you know, this is –
Hey, get your notebook.
Get your notepads out, kids.
But pull over if you're driving.
Of course.
Then get the notepad out.
Well, of course.
But flirting is the most fun to write because it's like,
what's the hottest thing in the world someone could respond to this?
And then you just do that.
I think about it all the time.
It's like my toes curl.
I start to sweat.
I know.
I'm like – because I wrote something for a character to say to you,
and I was just like, oh, my God.
It's the Lady Gaga.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I've had a couple of drinks,
and oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
But the thing is, it's like it's also vulnerable to have someone read that.
You know what I mean?
I mean, like what you think is flirtatious.
Yeah, but I mean, I'm killing.
Well, totally.
But it's just like this is what my twisted mind would say if I could say anything.
It's just like having like any kind of kindness and romanticism
and then maybe like saying the person's name like once or twice.
Dangerous legislation.
We are, needless to say, hosting the GQ Man of the Year Awards.
Yes.
They saw the work we did with Bestie of the Year.
They saw that, and they said, we have to capitalize on this.
Get them on the horn right now.
Yeah.
And so we're going to London.
We're flying across the world.
We're flying across the world to go give some awards out.
And dare I say, be honored ourselves.
Be honored ourselves.
We are.
You're looking at two men of the year.
Yeah.
Let's hear it for the man of the year.
So that's really cool.
So I guess there's a live stream.
We're learning about it at the same time you are.
Yeah.
I mean, our teams know about all this stuff.
We kind of, as I say to people, I just get in the car.
Yeah.
So people keep asking me, they go, where is that thing tonight?
And I go, you think a little guy like me would know something like that?
I've never known less about where I'm going
In the past.
year. Surrender. I just put my hands up and I get in the car. And I guess this is kind of a warning
to, to my friends and family. I'll get into any car and just take me away. Something crazy happened
at LAX, which was that I had an Uber coming and there was a car that arrived, same exact type of
car, same two last two letters of the license plate. And so I was getting in it and this guy
came up and he was like, that's not your car. And I was like, okay, we're going to figure this out.
Imagine caring about shit like that. You know what I think about? Well, now it'll be the
justification of CDC, but is that, could it matter any less? Hey, hey, sir. I see you. I see you.
He'd get hard immediately. I see you. He just goes, bazinga. Bazinga. Calm down. Why don't
you go jerk off quickly and then come back. Let off some steam. And I know it'll be quick
because you just saw me. That's what you say. How come everyone touched their bird after they
see Mary Beth Barone flat chest? At LAX.
Oh, my thing is, is like, let people cancel things. Oh my God. Could anything matter less?
Like who actually cares? I don't even care if you went through an effort to do it.
Let people cancel. It's just not a big deal. Like it's just never a big deal. It doesn't matter.
I know it doesn't. There's enough. Come on, dude. I just like, I need people to get over it. I know
you want to see me, but you can't. Well, you will. Can I say one thing? You will. You will when it
matters. It's just like not in this case for whatever you're not available for. No, I have to
write teams.
I have to write teams.
Either we're taking pics of teams or we're not. Positively Orwellian. I miss the Gossip Girl
reboot.
Me too. I watched the whole thing with my niece.
And me.
And you. So I was sleeping.
Yeah.
One of my favorite things to do.
Oh, it's my, I would love to do it.
You're not nailing it right now. Let's be honest. I'm a D student as far as sleep. It's so bad. And I can, I can feel it. I can feel it in the
workouts.
I had just come back from LA. So I was three hours behind.
My body felt three hours behind.
My body.
My body.
You like my body.
So I had to wake up really early and my alarm went off and I was sleeping so deeply that
when my alarm went off, it genuinely felt like that moment in Interstellar when they do the
first handshake. I was being poked by something from another dimension.
It's the Hans Zimmer.
Literally.
Yeah.
But it was like something with my brain and the way the alarm sounded, it literally felt like
a creature from another dimension.
It had broken through.
Yeah.
And was shaking me to wake up.
When you feel that shit in your soul.
It was so crazy.
Yeah.
And I've never been able to put it into words before, but as you could see with the ossification
of Sadie Sink, I'm on fire right now.
Yeah, of course.
So that's what it really felt like. I felt a tingle because I was like, there's more to all this.
Of course there is.
Have you ever been woken up by an alarm and you just think to yourself, there's more to all this?
Yeah. Didn't Albert Einstein, who lived in the 1990s, say that?
He was around when Full House was on.
Oh my God. He loved Full House. He was such Mary-Kate.
No, totally.
We'll just bring up the Olsen twins as much as possible this season.
Yeah, good.
Hey, you guys. Mary Beth here. We're back in the Titan Submersible and I'm doing ads.
We are actually, I'm in the middle of a fitting, if you can even believe that, for the GQ Made of the Year Awards.
Everyone want to say their names?
Hi, I'm Keisha.
I'm Nketchi.
I'm Chloe too.
All the girls are here to help me look snatched tonight.
And by the time you hear this ad, it will have already happened.
So hopefully you've gone and liked all the photos on every account.
But that's actually not the case.
I'm not even here to talk about. I'm here to talk about K-18.
The secret to keeping your hair looking like total perfection is the K-18 Molecular Repair Hair Mask.
I slept four hours last night, by the way.
What if you could bleach and color your hair without damage?
I could use that last season on overcompensating.
Patented K-18 peptide actually repairs damage on the molecular level.
It's like science, you guys.
It's really, really deep.
And in just four minutes, we get stronger, smoother, softer, bouncier hair like new.
No matter what I put it through.
Yeah, Denny and I put my hair through a lot.
Honey says that in the copy.
Bleach, color, heat, hairspray, you name it.
You know, I've been giving myself a lot of blowouts.
So K-18, it just keeps me safe.
Find K-18 at your local Sephora and feel the difference yourself.
Or try it 10% off your first order at k18hair.com.
That's code ride at k18hair.com.
Keep your hair looking luscious.
You know, we do a lot of ads for hair products on this podcast.
We would never not do an ad for K-18.
Do you get that?
Like I said, find K-18 at your local Sephora and feel the difference yourself.

Yeah, I'm about to try on some clothes.
This season has been years long.
Seasons, seasons is what it's feeling like.
Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes.
How took you measure a season of a ride?
How about love?
In coffees, internet.
I don't know all the words.
In breakups, in coffees.
It's hell. Tell me that's not it.
In breakups, in Dunkin' Nuts, in. I'm so. We have more Dunkin' ads coming.
Yeah, and like. I had to send some pretty fiery texts this morning.
We're not going to get into it.
She sent some hard truths.
She said, I need to know when and I need to know how and I need to know why.
She's. When I see those texts. Dunkin' partner, we love you.
Oh, we love you, Dunkin', like totally.
As I have a full. Nothing. You have a full nothing.
So there wasn't a Dunkin' nearby.
We'll probably have to cut all that.
I'm not cutting that.
And we're not cutting us talking about cutting.
I've really been enjoying us keeping when we talk about cutting stuff.
It's just like we have some stuff to hide, but not much.
No, I mean, you've taken everything from us.
Yeah, it's for the applause.
Our hearts on the floor.
Speaking of heart on the floor.
Oh.
Lux, so I have to talk about albums as they happen now because anything can happen.
Lux is the best thing I've ever heard in my life.
I was so ill prepared and I get in an Uber and I'm driving across the Williamsburg Bridge listening to
the first two tracks at night.
You know what I thought going off my ride last week?
Can I just say going into a museum listening to Lux?
Yeah. Yeah.
OK, fine. I must stay through the album.
Sometimes I'm shocked right now.
I just think, like, there's some music boys shouldn't get to listen to.
I agree, except homosexuals.
Well, that's not.
I know. I know.
That's not what I meant.
Yeah, I know. But people twist your fucking words.
Oh, they do.
But it's just like in my head, it's like you're in a museum in Madrid and like a guy's drawing you.
I know. I know. Oh, they do. I guess.
And can I say one thing?
Listening to Rosalia,
my,
apartment becomes the museum. I'm looking at my stuff in a totally different way. And I just have
to think to myself, there's got to be more to all this. Look at my body, the contortions of my body
in a different way. Yeah. It's making me want to learn Spanish. It's making me want to go to
Madrid. Let's go. Come on now. And San Sebastian. San Sebastian. The motherland. I love a shout out
to the district of Columbia. Yeah. DC. DC. They deserved it. Things can happen there. Yeah.
Nothing good recently, but we know Rosalia went there at least one time. When I was in college
and it was Obama, as I said, Obama pits perfect and frozen. We used to have culture. I wasn't,
I wasn't a Democrat at that time. I couldn't even enjoy it. I had a fling with a guy in college who
was a Romney Romney guy. I found that out late. Romney though. Now looking back to my core,
actually, I'd fuck with him at this point. Oh yeah. What I would pay, what I would give
a hundred percent. It used to be like, you know, uh, I roll. Yeah. I mean, definitely a lot of
evil happens.
Well, yeah. Nancy Reagan, like how's the fiery pits of hell? Like, do you like the taste of
the fiery flames of hell? Don't tell me. Yeah. Is it hot down there? No one touched their birds
when they meet Nancy Reagan. No. I think I did write down one thing to say to you. You wrote
down, can we skip to the good part? Oh, well, someone brought that up and they're like, that
was such an era and like, it couldn't be more this season. Also was Rosalia on the song. Is it,
I don't want to butcher.
The pronunciation? Don't you dare. Reliquia? Reliquia. Reliquia. I don't know. I'm sure that
I'm saying it wrong. Someone goes travel privilege. And I was dying. I was like, that's incredible.
The last thing I'll say before we get into what we ride for. I forgot being single when you hook
up with people. Everyone's first question. Dick size. Oh yeah. What do I say? You say,
was the dick friendly? Did it make you feel safe? Better questions. Is that not a perfect question?
If you ask me the size, I'm just,
never going to tell you. You want to know how big someone's dick is. Why don't you go hook up
with them? I had to earn that information. And that information is a privilege. I'm never going
to tell you. I'm more interested in like, did you have the best time? I know. Was the dick nice to
you? Was it friendly? Was it exciting? Did it create a safe space? Because the other thing
people do, which I hate, they say, how big was the dick? I say, I'm not going to tell you. They go,
oh, so it was small. Nothing I can say back to that. Because if I say no, then I'm answering
their question. So what I say is just like,
I'm not telling you. I'm not telling you. And I say, you know what I say? I say the dick was
perfect. Yeah. Because it's not about the size. As many dicks are. As many dicks are. And it's
not about the size. It's about who it's attached to. Completely agree. I think that's beautiful.
I think we need to change the conversation around penises. Yeah. Let's get into what we ride for.
And dear media. So if you don't clip that, it's starting to feel personal at this point.
And while I've looked uglier than I ever have in my entire life. But yeah, I would ask your
friends, is it friendly? I just watched you do something that really,
kind of like itchy. Face is red. Want to feel old? This is the Puffs Plus Girl.
And she's crass. The yassification of Sadie's sink.
The Puffs Plus Girl. Wait, you are the yassification of the Puffs Plus Girl.
I will be riding for always checking a bag. This might be the first die from you. And I'm excited
because it will actually make the format of this pod make any lick of sense. Yeah. Well,
I'm going to ride for sharing clothes. Any lick of sense. Who cares?
No, a lick of sense is totally a phrase. No, I know. But I just, no one's ever used it like I
just did. I, okay. And guess what? Any lick of sense? Do you, do you know that we're constantly
revolutionizing the arm of this podcast? Of course. And that includes language. Sounds not
words has been huge this year. So. Well, it's been huge for, I mean, it's probably been like
detrimental to the snitch community. Well, and to just boyfriends everywhere. Mrs. McClarson,
I think you met. That could never be me. I don't give a fuck.
That was me. Sometimes it was more of my sister, Pam, but.
Yeah. Wait, where are we going? Who cares? Ride. You go first, sweetie.
So here's what I want to say about today. I'm wearing pants given to me by Benny Drama.
I'm wearing a jean jacket given to me by Benny Drama. I love sharing clothes. I think not only
is it, it's creates sisterhood. One of the best lines from overcompensating. They're your sisters.
Why don't you buy a pair of pants and send them around? Yeah. You're starting to piss me off or
whatever that you're pissing me off, pissing me off. I just think the practice of sharing clothes
can be so powerful. I have two older sisters and I was constantly sneaking into their rooms and
taking stuff. And in fact, today at your birthday party, there's a collection of dresses I have kept
from my sisters over the years. I actually had both of their prom dresses tailored so I could
wear them on red carpets or events in the future. And they're so classy. My sisters have amazing
taste, even though they didn't care about brands. They had amazing taste. And I'm wearing a dress
that was purchased from.
The Stanford Mollet BB tonight for your birthday. And I'm wearing Abercrombie in the early aughts.
Yeah. And I'm so excited. And so my friends and I in high school, I mean, I've been sharing clothes
forever, but my friends and I in high school, we were obsessed with designer jeans. Citizens of
humanity, seven from. Can I say something? Rocking Republic. I got them. True religion, honey.
True religion. Seven jeans. What you can do when you have a group of 10 girls who all have a lust
for designer jeans. The amount of designer jeans you have access to increases tenfold. We would
bring the jeans in. We would plan our outfits. We go, I want to wear the eight pockets on Thursday.
Seven jeans had these different types of pockets. Of course. Status symbol. So I would be like,
okay, Lauren, can I borrow your eight pockets on Thursday? I'm going to wear it with this top. And
then she would bring it in a little shopping bag. I would carry it around with me for the day.
And it's like, boom, I have a whole new pair of jeans. And obviously there are certain items. I
shouldn't just take because it's a privilege, not a right. I just love seeing my clothes like
shine on someone else. What's unfortunate is that you can't really borrow my clothes,
but I have had a long, long life of borrowing yours. My archive. I mean, come on down. I actually,
there's nothing I love more than someone going in and wearing my pink shirt. Oh, it's so cute. Wait,
I, I was supposed to give that to you. I brought it. It's coming to New York. It's in a box.
I recently just went through all my clothes, said hi to all my friends, my girls, my guys. Like I
love them. My non-binary is everybody like that. You can just feel it. There's nothing more. I love
than when someone goes and puts on my clothes. I'm like, hell yeah. It's very in her shoes. I'm
like, give these the life they deserve. I'm like, I can't wear all this all the time. There's a few
things that I agree with that are a little tricky. Like if it's something I wear like very consistently,
I am like, that might smell and, or like, I don't know if you necessarily want to put that on.
And then there's one tiny rule where it's like, if it's a really good piece, I feel like you can't
wear it first. I was literally just going to say that. That's my only rule. Two sides of the same
coin. And you know what my thing is? If it looks really good on them, keep it. Yeah. And that's
just like, just take it. No, but I'm just like, I don't just, it's so fun to, to see the clothes
on my muses. Yeah. I bought this orange Vivian Westwood dress for a lesbian wedding that I went
to this summer, Kira and Ilana. And the dress is just so explosive. So my friend Rachel had to go
to a wedding and she was like, can I wear that? And I said, of course, but prepare to get more
in your entire life. She texted me in the middle of this wedding and she goes, 10 people have
stopped me, including people that weren't even at the wedding. Like they were walking to the
reception, stopped her and said, that dress is amazing. Tell me everything. And what could bring
me more joy than like my, cause I can't wear them all at once. God knows I can't wear them all at
once. Do you remember how brutal it was though? And like middle school where you would loan
something to a friend and then they got compliments the entire night. Some shit like that would have
sent me into psychosis, but now I'm like, that's right. Now it's okay. And I go, I know where you
fucking shit. Yeah. For those of us with a shopping addiction, it's so fun to watch it
start to feel like it's doing some good. Absolutely. And I mean, I've been selling a
lot through the real real lately and that's just the ultimate way to give your clothes new life.
Cause it's like, if I'm not wearing it anymore, then I want it to, I want it to be seen, see and
be seen. You know, I wonder if you feel this. I can always tell when I see something at the real
real, if it was bought by someone who's a NEPA baby, I can like feel it. I love that. Do you
feel like if the piece was bought by someone who earned all of the money or came into great wealth,
it was something very beautiful. Isn't that really beautiful? Yeah. Unfortunately, my third eye is,
I am a little bit psychic. Yours is that you can tell if clothes on the real, real were bought.
I'm a little bit psychic. I see everything. I saw your entire future when I saw your set,
the first night we met, I'm not, I know. I agree with that. Yeah. I agree with that.
What's okay. So what's your favorite piece of yours? Yes. Oh my God.
That I put on you. Well, it's hard to say. I really love you in that Letterman's jacket. I think it's so, I wore that this morning to get my coffee. You didn't. The Valentino. You didn't. I did. I love that jacket. I loved this dress I wore or it's a shirt actually. So what's cool is when you date someone.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. So these habits. When you. You're not friend zoning me. When you're best friends
with someone. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. With the body of a linebacker. Don't let this go.
Baby. Freudian slip, honey. Neutralized attraction. Oh my God. Now when someone
goes, are you dating someone? I can go. Yes. Well, yes. Oh my God. When you're best friends
with someone with the body of a linebacker, his shirts thus become dresses.
Yeah, of course. So I wore this dress to a Margiela store opening. Do you remember the
Carrie? The JW Anderson Carrie collection. It was so good. No, I literally have to go. With
entire closet coming out of the J.W. Anderson
Carrie collection. I loved that.
And I thought it was unexpected. The sissy space
like I love you in that. Yeah. You know what?
I love so much of your stuff. I hadn't worn it yet.
But it was your idea for me to wear it.
Of course. No, no, no. I would never ever do that.
I know, but it was actually, you know, like
I'm breaking every rule
for you.
I can't hit those notes.
You're breaking every rule for me.
Whoa.
Well, the producer just left because he was
like, I got to. He said, I need to take a lap
real quick. He said, whoa.
He's like, you're not signed. That just hit me.
You're not signed, right? You're not
signed. So I think
sharing clothes can be really beautiful. Obviously
you have those friends that don't take care of the clothes.
They decimate the clothes and you have to
set a boundary. You almost clean them too much.
I'm like, I don't like the starchiness. No, I
know, but I have to take care of them. I know.
Oh, you know what's tricky? The
hardest thing I think to share is shoes
just because of smell and wear
and I don't know. That one's a little tricky.
For me. Also, it's funny. It's like
in being in gay relationships,
everyone was always like, do you share clothes
so much? Oddly
no. I don't know why, but I'm
open to it. But you guys
have different style. Yeah, that can be. Yeah.
That can be a thing.
Nothing better than shopping Benny drama's closet.
But you know, what's so fun is that sometimes though
you kind of know when it's
not like, you know, if I get something
and it's actually not quite me, I'm like, oh, I got
this. This is for someone else. Yeah.
And sometimes that someone else huge
mistake. It's me. It's Mary Beth Barone. I got this
for Mary Beth. Sometimes when there's
a rumbling, is that a subway? I don't know.
I think it's Bane. He's down there.
He's setting some shit up.
There's going to be a sinkhole here later.
Yeah, there's going to be a reckoning. I do
think a reckoning is coming, by the way. For sure.
Oh, it's happening right now. You and your friends better batten
down the hatches. Exactly.
When Anne said that to him and she's like, when
she leans in and does that whisper. Anne.
Well, it's Anne. Yeah, Anne. No one's
ever called her Anne. Well, it's Annie.
She leans in and goes,
you and your friends better batten down the hatches
and wonder why you can live so
good in the brass and the leaf cellar for the rest
of us. You know she credits Christopher Nolan
for saving her career. I know.
Because Interstellar. And I just think she's brilliant
and her performance in Interstellar
and as Catwoman, when she backflips
out of that window. Incredible. Nothing
more I'd like to do. My friend
Carrie, who I stay with in LA, she's kind of a
legend. Amazing
closet to shop. Wow. And I always
ask first because it's polite. Well, you should
always ask. I think some remain
kind of crazy. In situations they're not asking and that's a
huge problem for me. I agree. The one thing that
drives me crazy sometimes though is if someone just
goes in and then puts on like
a really good sweatshirt or something or
like a really good piece for like just
chilling or like farting around and
it's like, okay, well, you kind of picked the
best thing we got here. That's insane. Like, you
gotta chill. That's just not okay. It's
just so not actually. Just be respectful. I act like
I've cared about anything like that. I really haven't. You
could like destroy something and there's only
a few pieces that I'd be like, oh, that
makes me sad for a couple minutes.
One time I let my friend borrow a
J.Crew sweater and I was like, just don't put it
in the dryer. It was wool. I
shopped a lot of J.Crew in high school. I loved it.
And unfortunately, her
mom washed it, put it in the dryer. It did shrink
and became unwearable. And it was a really good lesson
for me to just go, that's okay.
It's a sweater. It's okay. It's not going to affect our friendship.
Yeah. But you don't talk to her anymore.
Well, no. Yeah. We haven't spoken in years.
Yeah. Since she ruined your fucking sweater.
Oh, yeah. Because that's unforgivable.
It's good for my control issues. It's exposure
therapy. Just be like, this person's going
to wear this thing and it's going to be okay.
I wonder if mine is actually just tied to me
being like, take everything, love me.
Probably. That.

Excuse me, and Jackson,
don't cut that. When I saw
that I was doing ads alone today,
I said I hope to God we're doing Built this
week. Because you know I just can't shut up
about Built. It's almost 2026
and you're still paying rent without Built?
We can't have that. Built is a loyalty
program for renters that rewards you for your
biggest monthly expense, rent.
And I don't like paying rent. I think
land ownership is theft, but
I don't know. Built makes it feel a little better.
Built is the loyalty program for renters
that rewards you monthly with points and exclusive
benefits in your neighborhood. Let me
explain. With Built, every rent payment
you. every rent payment. and don't
cut that, Jackson. This is real and raw.
It's $5.50 in my mind.
With Built, every rent payment
earns you points that can be used toward
flights, hotels, Lyft rides,
Amazon.com purchases, and
so much more. When you pay rent through Built,
you unlock exclusive benefits
from a network of more than
45,000 merchants. Yeah.
Just link your credit cards,
spend at your favorite local spots, earn Built
points on top of your regular credit card rewards,
and get one step closer to that trip you wanted to take.
Personally, I am going to redeem my points
for my New Year's trip with
Benny Drama 7. That's right.
We're taking our romance international.
Built points have been ranked the most valuable point
currency by the Points Guy. And they
just announced Built Cash, a way
to unlock even more from Built's partner. Should I
slide into the Points Guy's DMs?
It's simple. Paying rent is better with Built.
Earn rewards and finally get something

Should I get into what I ride for? I would love if you did.
I'm going to ride for always checking a bag.
I'm white knuckling
this whole ride. I know. Let's get
into it. I can't wait for you to die for this. What
did I die for? Text threads? Text threads
and group. No, it was group chats
and something else. You've died for two things.
I don't remember what the second one was.
Well, we had a hater one, right? Didn't we die for
it? It wasn't that. I died for Tesla's.
You died for something else. Oh, and
your big stickers that say I hate the CEO
are really doing a lot of work. You guys
hate, love the car,
hate CEO. It's like
he's on his way to being the first trillionaire
for what it's worth. Jesus. And they
I loved Billie Eilish saying
that was so cool that
you just gave me a little. Isn't that incredible? Did she say
why? She said you guys need to give away your money.
Yeah, it's incredible. I ride
for always checking a bag. So here we
go. So this is
going to ruffle so many feathers, but I
just kind of always deal.
So there's nothing
I'm sitting. I hate more after I just
talked about. Hey, after I just talked about the
archive that you left, get your sticky
fucking fingers in. I
love to be on a trip and have options.
I like to have
options of tops, pantalones,
shoes.
I like a multiple workout things. I can't
just bring one. There's not a washer dryer
and I'm not trying to smell like shit. Like
if someone thinks I smell, I have to
kill yourself. So
here's my thing. I know that
this is inconvenient and I know
sometimes it's not cost effective.
It's always been worth it to me. There
is nothing that I hate more
than taking a skincare routine and
putting it into some bullshit.
little bottle that it doesn't belong
in. It just, and it knows it doesn't belong in there and it's disappointed. It wastes so much
of the product. I just, I hate it. And I hate putting it in those little bags. Also, I'm saying
if it's a weekend, I'm probably not, but I, I probably am checking in a big way. I just have
these big old Patagonia bags and I'm just like, throw it in. And I find that if people shop on
the trip, they come to me and they go after giving me so much shit for checking the bag and apparently
adding so much time to the trip, they go, can I use some of the bag space? And every time I come
to them with the warmest love, heart open, I say, there is no bag space. And I say, it's fucking
full bitch. Yeah, no, I have done that, but I am like, yeah, isn't it nice to have a little room,
have a little leeway to shop the streets, shop local, think global. And oh my God, I just,
oh, and you can bring a red light mask. If you want, you can bring all your like supplements,
your AG1, your Nutrafol. My thing is, so as I've said before on this podcast, I'm always on the
course. You've said that so many times. I have. For me, stopping at baggage claim, waiting at the
carousel, it has been a good opportunity for me to connect with Barone's because I love to meet
them there. There is no time in my day, week, month, year when I am more antsy than when I'm
waiting at that baggage claim. Now, having become someone that has to attend events by choice,
shoe privilege. So you have to,
pack the shoes that go with the outfit. I can't just wear Sambas every day because I have outfits
that have been curated and put together. So the biggest thing for me lately is just accepting,
surrendering to this idea that I'm going to check a bag because I want all the shoes
that I need at my disposal. It's actually, it's a need, it's not a want. And to say that, yes,
it's much easier to pack my lotions and things like that. It makes me sick. I think it's taken
years off my life waiting at baggage claim. So for me, I understand the benefits of always
checking a bag. I'm trying so hard to just shove stuff in there in this carry-on. And also I have
to just say that traveling with Pinky, my carry-on has become a space for my laptop,
the dog food, treats, things like that. And oh God, picturing my girl in the middle of the aisle,
15 guys behind her, all who want to hit her. And she has to lug it up and put it up in that thing
and it doesn't fucking fit. And they go, ma'am, you have to check that. Yeah. I mean that gate
checking. Gate checking. Here's the thing. Gate checking when they're going to bring the bag
right to the plane and they put it in that little hallway area. That's one thing. That's got one of
God's greatest gifts. Gate checking when they're going to bring it to the carousel. Well, now you've
pissed me off. Well, you've been punished. What did I do? Yeah. It's like, oh, I could have just,
I could have brought the biggest bag possible. And now it's like, it's just, it's that to me is
you could have just been with Benny Drama and put your bags up. I know.
And oh God. Okay. I had literally like, I felt the endorphins in my body. When you pack for a
summer trip, you can fit so many more clothes. So many garments.
Do not have to put sweaters and coats. Oh my God. Oh my God. And the shoes, I like a kind of thicker,
chunkier shoe in the winter, of course. So, oh my God. I had to pack for a couple of weeks in
New York before I move into my place. And I don't have that many clothes and it was hard,
but I did two huge bags, but oh my God, packing the summer, everything,
everything goes 50 tank tops. Yeah. I mean, the amount of crop tops I'm bringing is just
astounding. Yeah. A thousand. It was really annoying to my friends when we were traveling
abroad when I was in college, but, um, you know, but they love, so this has been a lifelong
practice, but they love, of course, sweetie, I am who I am. My family even knows, like always
add 20 minutes for Benny to get his bag. My mom is a carry on warrior. So I was just always taught
that like, keep it moving and, and just try to really pare down your stuff. Unfortunately now
with the lifestyle that I'm living, it's really not possible anymore. It's not possible, sweetie.
You need options. And I also, you know, I have to bring options for the people around me.
Of course. You know, because you're sharing clothes quite often. Of course. I guess the
thing is like with age, I've come to accept it, but I would never always do it. I know. And I
don't know. It's just one of those things that I'm like, fuck yeah, who cares? And it's actually
been good for me as far as patience. Like I am just like, no, it's worth it to me. And I'm fine
to wait like an extra 20 minutes. Sometimes it's really annoying. Sometimes the waiting is,
like, hell. I travel enough that usually I have like a priority tag. So it does come out pretty
early. Sometimes that tag means nothing. Sometimes that tag means everything. Right. And when it
comes down, it's a little bit like what I assume it's like when you get home to Pinky. Oh, when
it's the first bag. When my red Patagonia falls, I'm like, well, there's my princess. Yeah. No,
it feels really good. It's just so cool that she made the trip with me. And I'm like, how was your
flight? She must have been so scared under the plane. No, I bet it was cold under there. But
yeah, it was. Oh, God.
And I think about just all the all the things I've been able to bring, all the looks and stuff. It's
just it's been a total travel privilege in every way. So anyone who's doing it, what I'm also
telling you is get rid of the shame. I know what it's like to have people get rid of the stigma.
There's so much hate. There's so much checking a bag, so much gay hate at it. Yeah, sure. This
everyone in there, they go, oh, he's got to check the bag. It's like we're here a week. What are
you guys going to be wearing on day five? This I got to know. For me, it's like I'm bringing 100
pairs of underwear. Yeah, of course. That's taking up space. Every single pair of underwear I own,
they're coming. They got to see. They got to see. They got to see. They got to see Austin.
A piece, a piece that I've kept from a sharing clothes experience. I do have a pair of Calvin
Klein boxer briefs that just are perfect. And I wear them. Sometimes they stick up out of the
pants. Sometimes they're a bedtime thing. But that's just a it's a piece that I and you know
what? I think sometimes with sharing clothes, if you don't know the person that well, you do need
to give it back.
And I'm sorry to go back to my ride here, but 100% of that stuff like I need back. Yeah, you don't
know me like that yet. I hope to get there one day. And hey, I'm not I'm not writing it off. But
come on. Hey, come on now. Should we get into ride or die? Let's get into ride or die. You know
what you are, Mary Beth? Bisexual. Oh, yeah. But you're also my ride or die. Ride or die. Did I
get a die? Probably. It's so hard because like, obviously, obviously, I understand it. And I feel
like it's like, okay, I've communicated that and I benefit from it. For me, I have to die for always
checking it back. Because I do think there are some instances where it's not worth it. Now, as I
grow, as my wardrobe expands, as the shoe options need to be more and more specific, because people
are taking pictures of me at an event and putting their little face over it and commenting on what
I'm wearing. I mean, the shoe game has to be on. Like, okay, okay. Okay, here's a story. You took
me to the Boas Afraid premiere. Yes.
And I was able to go to Wasteland and get a Molly Goddard gingham dress that was sheer,
which was fabulous. Now, all I had for shoes on that trip to wear out were white cowboy boots.
Was it the shoe I wanted to wear? Absolutely not. Was it the shoe I had to wear or I couldn't go to
the event? Yes. So I knew it was a miss. And then it ended up on one of those accounts that was like
at what they're wearing or whatever. I don't remember what the account was called. And someone
just goes, I don't get the white cowboy boot thing. And I was just like, can I be honest?
Neither do I. And I didn't, I wouldn't have chosen it. And so actually, too, what I'm finding is that
responding. So Nikki Bell did talk about our CFDA looks and he said, you're not doing yourself any
favors when you're wearing satin. I commented, I said, I started every interview apologizing for
the fact. You said, Nikki, hear me out. Nikki, hear me out. Hear me out, sweetie. And I don't
mind it. I don't mind the critique. I think keep up with it. I think he said my jacket needs two
inches up. I thought that it was the pants, but that wouldn't have made sense. No, the pants were
perfect. I have suffered at the hands of not checking a bag. Yes. And it's my own fault.
It's self something. I don't know.
But I will die for it because I think for me, once I land off that flight, I just I got to get out of
the airport. I have to. No worries. Hey, fuck you. We still be friends. No worries. Of course. Oh,
sweetie, we're dating. You said it. That was crazy that that happened. We have it on camera. That's
the least crazy thing that's happened. I ride for sharing clothes, although I could potentially die
for it because I never I ride for being the one who never get to benefit from. I've never. Hey,
maybe one day.
Okay. And I do want to shout out my mom. I've been stealing clothes from her since I was born.
Yeah. I steal a lot of like lately I've been stealing ties from my dad and looking at some
of his stuff. Maybe it's like the youngest child in me, but I'm like, yeah, take whatever you want.
Like, I just don't care. Do you love me? Do you love me or not? Yeah. Nothing could matter less.
It's fun to see that it is into me. You see in 100 percent in every way. It's like, just take it.
Take it. I can't wear it. I'm wearing something else. I've completely picked a different outfit
today. And.
Yeah. I'll let you borrow some of my clothes on a trip. I love letting people pull from
my mini little archive on a trip because I have all kinds of categories and all kinds of stories.
What's really cool about your clothes is when they're in a pile on the floor,
you know exactly what's in there and you know where it is.
Of course, I know everything.
You know, the location of every piece.
It's organized chaos and you got to just surrender to it.
Live and let die.

Throughout, they promote various products, from hair and gut health to travel gear, while maintaining a playful, self-deprecating tone. The episode blends personal anecdotes with sharp social observations, such as the "ossification of Sadie Sink" and critiques of societal expectations around dating and body image.
