Alex Hall Addresses Selling OC Cancellation & Selling Sunset Rumors w/ Fiona Belle

In this episode of "Pretty Dirty," the hosts catch up after a few weeks apart. Speaker 2 recounts a Memorial Day weekend trip to Cape Cod and Nantucket, where she was surprised by freezing temperatures and bought sweatshirts at every bar. They discuss the energy of New York City versus Orange County, with Speaker 2 expressing interest in potentially moving to New York for a few months, though she acknowledges the high cost and need to restart her real estate career there. Speaker 1 addresses widespread rumors about joining "Selling Sunset," clarifying that she only had a brief, informal conversation about it and has not signed anything. She expresses concerns about the more theatrical, performative nature of LA reality shows compared to the more authentic OC vibe, and worries about balancing filming with building her real estate team in Orange County. The conversation shifts to dating, with both speakers lamenting the difficulty of finding straight men with traditional careers. Speaker 2 notes that men in New York seem more career-driven, while in LA many are content creators or OnlyFans performers. They also discuss the increasing number of bisexual men they encounter. Speaker 1 encourages Speaker 2 to consider a change of scenery, whether to New York or Miami, while acknowledging the challenges of relocating in the real estate industry. The episode ends with them recommending TV shows, including "Off Campus" and "Euphoria."

Speaker 1 Welcome back to Pretty Dirty. It's been a few weeks. I've got my miss lovely Fiona Bell with me today who just got back from New York. Speaker 2 New York, right? Speaker 1 Cape Cod is in New York. Speaker 2 Yeah. No, it's not. It's in. Speaker 1 Boston. Speaker 2 Massachusetts, yeah. Speaker 1 Well, OK, Massachusetts. I was close. Speaker 2 Yeah, I learned that too. And Nantucket. Speaker 1 But you flew into New York. Speaker 2 Flew into New York, drove to Cape Cod, went to Nantucket for a day and then flew back yesterday. Speaker 1 Was it like a big party for more for Memorial Day weekend? Speaker 2 Yeah, it was so fun. I thought that it was going to be warm, so I packed a giant suitcase of like, tiny little clothes. Yeah, it was freezing, Absolutely freezing. Speaker 1 I'm freezing right now, like here, even in Orange County. Speaker 2 Insane. I bought a sweatshirt at every single bar we went to. Speaker 1 Really. Did you buy it yourself or it is the person you're with? Speaker 2 I bought it myself. Speaker 1 That's a really annoying. Speaker 2 It's so independent of. Speaker 1 Me. That's so annoying. Fuck that. Speaker 2 But it was fun. Speaker 1 So you guys were like, what do you even do if it's cold there? I feel like Cape Cod is like you're in the pool. I think like Summer House when I think Kate, even though it's not the same. Speaker 2 I had no idea what to like make of it, but I liked it. Like it's very, it's bougie. Like, I don't know. It was fun. Honestly. All we did was pretty much go out, go out. Speaker 1 Restaurants. Speaker 2 Yeah, great. I had the best caviar pasta I've ever, ever tried ever. It was amazing. And then you go to like, we went to a brewery and at that point, like, I'm just so cold. I'm I'm drinking to like, keep yourself warm. Speaker 1 Been there, done that. Speaker 2 And then we went back to the city, went to dinner, Nick the next one. That was fun to be out for that. Speaker 1 Everyone. What is it called? Speaker 2 The Knicks. Speaker 1 The what? Speaker 2 The Knicks. Speaker 1 What the Knicks? Speaker 2 Who? The Knicks? The basketball team. Speaker 1 Oh, they're there. Speaker 2 They're in New York. Speaker 1 Oh, but you saw them. Speaker 2 No, we went to dinner and then afterwards we went to a bar and they won for like the first. Speaker 1 Time they were they were playing basketball on TV. Speaker 2 They were playing basketball on TV and it was like an important game or something. I bet. Yeah. So that was fun. That was really fun. That's. Speaker 1 Fun. I love the energy around sports games. Speaker 2 Exactly. And New York just has like a different energy in general, like I really like. Speaker 1 It but I thought it's not New York, it's Massachusetts. Speaker 2 Well, yeah, but then we drove back to the city, which is New York. Speaker 1 Also your following I think, and I don't think it's like a secret, but I think this is what I was telling you before. Summer House is now doing a show like something like In the City. Speaker 2 In New York, that would be so. Speaker 1 Fun and so it's all the same like or similar like cast and then they're going to be doing it in New York. So I would love to see that. I feel like there hasn't been a really good show in New York, like a reality show in New York. And so except for like selling the city, right? But I didn't watch that. And that's like real estate, you know? And I think, I don't know, I feel like there's not a lot of really good reality shows anywhere. Speaking of which, I haven't done a podcast since the news came out that we're not filming another season of selling UFC. So that's been quite the roller coaster. I know you only got to experience one season of that, so it was very short lived for you. Speaker 2 End of an era for you. Speaker 1 End of an era. Honestly, I feel like season 4 was my best season. I feel like I looked the best and I was like, I kept my cool when I wanted to like RIP some people's heads off I matured. Speaker 2 You did. It was super fine. Speaker 1 In some moments, but also I feel like we should probably address the elephant in the room or in my room, which is if I'm there's so many articles coming out about me doing Selling Sunset, which is hilarious. I don't even know how that what little birdie is going. I have no idea. Like the only person that I even told about the conversation of that was you. And I was talking to Heather about it because she's filming Sunset. And she also, like nobody really, I feel like nobody really knew what was going on, like who the cast was actually going to be. And then once I think Heather found out that so many people were cut, she's like, holy shit. Like it's basically a whole new cast. And then Christine coming back and you know, I feel like for me, obviously I have a lot of clients that are moving down from LA to Orange County. So me referring that out to agents in LA is kind of annoying. So like me going there selling makes sense, but I also like nothing's been signed, FYI. Like I have not agreed to go on Selling Sunset. I, this is just like literally was a brief conversation and I just, I, I, you don't know what to expect when it's a whole new cast. Like I can't imagine being in your shoes when you came in to OC and it's like, I, we'd been there, like the original cast had been there, like we knew kind of what was going on. And obviously they add some, you know, fresh meat, but it's like when you're the OG, you're like 100. Speaker 2 Percent. Speaker 1 I don't like, that's kind of terrifying to think about going to sunset and like, I don't know, like I'm friends with Heather. I I'm, you know, friends with like I'm not friends with Brie, but like, I like Brie Christine, I'm good with. I just some people are very different when you film with them versus what you've. Speaker 2 Experienced in real life, I feel like you would kill it. I feel like they need, you're just so like authentically you and direct like they need some of that energy in there. Speaker 1 But I feel like Bree is pretty fucking direct. Speaker 2 She is she, I mean, I've, I think I've only met her like once or twice. Speaker 1 Her dad lives in Newport. Oh, really? Yeah. Last time she was here, I was like, we should totally, like, get together and have drinks because she comes down, I think a lot with her son and she visits her dad. But I feel like also LA is uncharted territory. Like the audience is different. Like I feel like I could get eaten alive and I worked like, I don't know, season 1234 for OC was such a roller coaster for me. And I don't know, I don't know if also, like I've told you, being here in Orange County and building my real estate and trying to get a team to work under me like that, something that I really, really want to try to start doing. And I don't think I would have time to do clients in LA, filming in LA, clients here, building a team, getting people under me to like grow, grow the business. I just, I don't think I could do that. Speaker 2 It's like which direction? Speaker 1 And you're like thinking about moving to New York. I'm like, what the fuck? Like if I started getting a team together, I would definitely want you to be on my. Speaker 2 100% we would kill it, Yeah, but I don't know. Yeah, I think it would be a great opportunity because like, why not? But I also feel like the LA side can be perceived as a bit more performative and you're more authentic. Speaker 1 It's such a different vibe. Speaker 2 So it's just a lot different than, but who knows? Speaker 1 Even like when my I don't even know I would have to have a whole new wardrobe. Like my wardrobe is so different than the they are coming out like red carpet. Speaker 2 I know I saw like some pictures and videos and I was like, damn, I wonder how long that takes before. But I feel like there's a piece of like, what people liked about the OC is that it's more it's not, as you know. Speaker 1 Theatrical, exactly right. So yeah. But that's OC yeah not LA. Like honestly so many people love the love sunset because of the outfit. Speaker 2 And what they're wearing. Speaker 1 What they're wearing. Like I do too. Like I've seen some sneak peeks of Christine in her outfits and I'm like, oh. Speaker 2 It's so fun. Speaker 1 My gosh, I know. I know. Like she's yeah, I'm, I, I've, I also, I just don't know. I don't know what the story. You don't know what the storylines are. You don't know what's going on and they don't know what's going on. And then I've I go. I don't know it. Speaker 2 Would be so fun to watch you on that. Speaker 1 Like I would like to go like when I'm there, peek in, say hi, what's up to the girls? Like if I'm there with clients or if I'm there and I've got a property and do it like that. Because I would be nervous to not know what the storylines are and walking into that with like already built relationships to like obviously Heather and Christine have had their history. The last the last thing I remember about Christine and Heather is like Heather breaking out into hives because Christine was saying something about her. No one like Heather was like, this is not OK for my mental health. Like what is happening happening. And I know Mary like went through stuff like that too with some of the girls. I don't know if it was Christine. Speaker 2 Yeah, it's a lot. Speaker 1 It's just a lot like I feel like it was never that serious with OC, but then again, I don't know, maybe I was in a different position. Like maybe some people felt like it was like, I don't see it. I just did it. Maybe I was the aggressor. I don't know. No, I don't know. But yeah, we'll see. I also think like, New York could be really fun for you. Like I told you, go and like you're so young. Like just freaking go and. Speaker 2 Do it, love it there. I mean, it's so different. It's so different. It's such a different lifestyle. What one thing that I noticed that was very attractive to me is like the men out there like. Speaker 1 The men were very attractive. Well. Speaker 2 They actually like work, you know, like they have jobs and like they're hustling. Like that's so. Speaker 1 As opposed to like what Everyone out here in LA is just like content creators. Speaker 2 I met him. I met a guy last week in LA and I asked him what he did and he said he does. Only fans. And I'm like, so that's your career? Speaker 1 I'm sorry, wait, what? Speaker 2 Like, no judgement at all. But like for a man that that's I'm like, how do you, how are you going to support a family one day? Wait. Yeah. Speaker 1 You met a guy in New York? Speaker 2 No in LA. Speaker 1 In LA Straight and does only. Speaker 2 Fans Yep. And he like I recognized him. He was like attractive guy whatever we're chatting and he was on like a big show. I guess he was on like Vanderpump a while back, but this is like his career. Speaker 1 Also in every guy that I meet anywhere now is bisexual. Speaker 2 I I honestly. Speaker 1 Which fine, you do you, but like, I don't want to date a guy who's bisexual. Speaker 2 I prefer that's just only into me, preferably like. Speaker 1 I already got to watch out for all these hot bitches, now I got to look out for hot guys. Speaker 2 Too. There's no chance. That's way too much to handle. Speaker 1 Way too much, but it's. Speaker 2 Wild. Yeah. Crazy. Speaker 1 Don't yeah, I don't I mean, I know like some of my gay friends, they're like, yeah, like I they're into women too, but it's but they don't want to like be with a. Speaker 2 Woman. Speaker 1 They're like, no, it's just fun to dabble. But then the guys who you meet that are like, oh, I'm, I don't, I don't even know what they say. Like they're straight. Speaker 2 And then they both. Speaker 1 Are into guys. Speaker 2 Too. I don't know. Speaker 1 Yeah, I don't know, like, do those guys marry women? Speaker 2 I think some of them have to. Speaker 1 There's also a lot of like things happening that world where I think that guys are becoming more confident in their sexuality too. And so they're just like I've always said this, like is every guy, I feel like he's a little gay. Speaker 2 Yeah. Speaker 1 And some men are like, is it? Speaker 2 Too much for me to say, I just want a straight man. Speaker 1 Kind of yeah, 2026 yeah. Literally, it's too much to ask. They're. Speaker 2 Far and few at this point. Speaker 1 They are and like somebody who actually works like what you said and is like has a career and wants to build something and take care of his family. Speaker 2 Exactly. But I think I definitely get along with like gay men better, but I'm just like. Speaker 1 Duh. It's like having it like that's the best they're. Speaker 2 So, so much better. And then, yeah. Speaker 1 Yeah, I think they would also agree with that. I'm sure gay guys get along better with pretty females than they do with straight men. You don't even. Speaker 2 Very true. Straight men are just so hard to get along with. Speaker 1 Most of them, yeah. Speaker 2 So bad. But yeah, I like them. I liked that in New York. And it's just a it's such a cool place. Yeah. Like there's so much going on. I don't know. I really like it. Speaker 1 I haven't been to New York in so long. I was in New York, honestly. No, that's not true. I used to do like rendezvous in New York. Like I had this guy that I would date on and off and we would always meet in New York. So it has like a really special romantic place. I also went there with my ex-husband before we were married, when I was pregnant with Gia and I didn't know I was pregnant with her. We went there for Valentine's Day and and then like, I don't know. I just love the energy of New York City. I could never live there. Speaker 2 I think I would I want to live there for a few months. I wish I could just like go move there for like 6 months. So expensive. I don't know like, I know if you obviously I know like. Speaker 1 Wait, what would you do for real estate if you would? Speaker 2 That's what I was thinking. Speaker 1 Would you work for Sir Ham? Speaker 2 I think I probably would if I went out there, but it's so real estate, so different there to like their process isn't the same as California at all. I had to get my license out there and just start from like 00 because I don't have any. Sucks. I do have a referral out there right now that is a $6 million listing. Speaker 1 Oh yeah, with Eleanora. Eleanora from selling. Speaker 2 She's with was. Speaker 1 It selling the city. Speaker 2 Yeah, or she's. Speaker 1 Selling the city or something? What was Ryan Sirhan's show called? Speaker 2 Owning. Speaker 1 Owning Manhattan. Oh, OK, OK, OK. Speaker 2 So many shows. Speaker 1 Interesting that they're all Netflix. Speaker 2 I know, right? Yeah. Speaker 1 I didn't know that Sirhan's show was Netflix. That's interesting that they did two city real estate shows. This is the other one. No, the other one was LA buying Beverly Hills. That was here, and that was also Netflix. Speaker 2 Crazy what Netflix is just eating up the real estate shows. Speaker 1 Netflix loves real estate and the drama. So much drama. So are you. I know you're not dating right now. Speaker 2 No, I think I need to like. Speaker 1 Also the guy that you like that I just saw you with looks so much like your ex it's like in like it's insane. Speaker 2 That's terrifying. Speaker 1 I know I'm not the only person that's told you that. Terrifying and you don't see it. Speaker 2 No. Speaker 1 So weird. Speaker 2 I'm taking a hiatus from Men. Speaker 1 Are you actually? That's really good, Yeah. I think you should focus on your career, figure out where you want to go, unless you're going to stay in San Diego. Speaker 2 I know. Speaker 1 Would you ever move to Orange County? Speaker 2 I mean, I think about it, but I just, I don't know, I kind of want to just go. I need a change of scenery, like I need something to change. But my whole business right now is in San Diego, Summit up in OC. I don't know, I feel like I would be lonely in Orange County, which is why because my family. Speaker 1 Feel like you're lonely in fucking San Diego too? Speaker 2 That's why I need to just go to New York. Speaker 1 I feel like you would be lonely in New York. Speaker 2 I'd be so lonely in New York. Speaker 1 Also, New York is like really fast-paced and I feel like people do like a lot of it's like it's a lot like they're doing and there's like a lot of drinking, there's like drugs. There's fast to be moving all of the time like that. And I don't know how healthy the lifestyle is. Speaker 2 That's true. I know I was thinking like Miami could be cool even though I've only been one time for 24 hours, but I still, it's hard because when you're in real estate you can't really just get up and move. It's like your client basically. Speaker 1 Sure, you can get up and grow and be like, hey, I've got an established business here now I want to do the same thing in Miami or I want to do the same thing in, you know, New York. But it's hard to just pick up and leave that all behind. Speaker 2 Exactly. Speaker 1 But you also are still like young and just starting in this business. So it's like you could pick up and go, yeah, you don't have like an established area where you're like, hey, this is been my hustle and grind for five years, 10 years. Speaker 2 Right now, well, that's true. But it's so it's like OK, San Diego now I've built like my business up to where it's consistent. And so if I move somewhere I'm starting from, you know, nothing in a way, yeah, when I'm just starting to pick up where I am. So I don't know, maybe I just need to like plan a vacation. Speaker 1 Or just like be super serious about dating and find somebody that you want to settle down with and be done and have it be way easier. Speaker 2 That sounds beautiful. I want you to watch. Speaker 1 That sounds beautiful. It does. So beautiful. Speaker 2 It does sound really beautiful. Watch that show which is campus. Speaker 1 Off campus? Is it about school? What is it about? Speaker 2 No, it's just like a little like teeny whopper ROM com show, but like I really liked it and there's a girl in it that reminds me of myself. OK. And it's how? Speaker 1 Old are they? Speaker 2 They're in college but OK in in real life. I'm sure they're. Speaker 1 Older, yeah. OK, so what's the don't give it away for me but like is it? Speaker 2 It's like, did you watch? Speaker 1 'Cause I just got done watching Euphoria and that show is fucking. Speaker 2 Crazy, I watched the last episode and I had to like skip through a lot of stuff 'cause it was giving me anxiety. Speaker 1 Yeah, it's a lot. Speaker 2 It's it's heavy. Speaker 1 I liked the first two, two seasons and then I feel like the is this the third season right now? It was like, you know, like. Speaker 2 What's happening here? It's getting kinda. Speaker 1 That wasn't the season finale, though, right? The last I. Speaker 2 Hope not, I hope not. Speaker 1 I can't remember. Speaker 2 I watched on the plane like half asleep but. Speaker 1 But it's hard to get into good shows recently. Speaker 2 It is. That's why like, I love a good show. I feel like life is better with a good show. This is a good show. I have like half an episode left and then I'm done. Speaker 1 OK, what's it called again? Speaker 2 Off campus. Speaker 1 Off campus. Speaker 2 Yeah, and like, just stick with it after the first episode. Did you watch Heated Rivalry? Speaker 1 No, OK. Speaker 2 I couldn't get into porn. I know I couldn't get into it but this like people say it's like the straight version of heated. Speaker 1 Oh, so there's a lot of sex. Speaker 2 Not really. Speaker 1 Isn't there a lot of sex in heated rivalry? Speaker 2 There was a lot of sex in the first episode. I think we tried to watch it together. Speaker 1 No, we watched those other crazy Italian movies. Speaker 2 Oh my God, those movies. Speaker 1 Were were they called? Oh my God, you guys, did we talk? Have we talked? Speaker 2 Oh my God, that movie is so easy. That man, that man, we have the same dog. Like I feel like we were just really good. We stayed. Speaker 1 Up until like 4:00 in the morning, watching Fiona got me into this stupid. Like it's basically what do you call like? Speaker 2 Erotic. Speaker 1 Film and I was like what the hell are we watching? And then the next thing I know I'm like I would need to see the next the sequel and then I need the I need all of it. Like we watched like 4 movies and there are they in subtitles? Speaker 2 No. Speaker 1 I don't think they might be. Speaker 2 Really, we were determined. Speaker 1 Then Oh my God. Speaker 2 There's one more that we have to watch, I think 2:00. Speaker 1 Straight female girls watching that show in bed together at 2:00 AM like my neighbors were like, what's happening? Speaker 2 I'm like I literally am so lonely. Like so it was. Speaker 1 So I actually got sad. That kind of made me sad because I was like, that would be awesome. Speaker 2 Beautiful like. Speaker 1 Even though it's like a little, it's super toxic. Speaker 2 It is, so I know that's the same thing as that. What's that other movie that. Speaker 1 Wait, what was that? What were they called? Speaker 2 What? What the movies? Yeah. Three, six, 365 days. Speaker 1 365 days, OK. Speaker 2 With Mckelly Morone, I probably just butchered his name, but he is beautiful. Speaker 1 Like stunning. Speaker 2 Man. Speaker 1 Gorgeous, beautiful. I literally I can't even say what I. Speaker 2 Did. I can't even. Speaker 1 Think of I DM D his brother. Speaker 2 Here searching deep for that man, I was awful he. Speaker 1 Responded too and then I was like I said it all transparency. I'm just trying to find your brother and he's like not he literally goes not going to happen. Like OK fine. Speaker 2 I think it could happen, you never know. Speaker 1 Is he? Maybe he's married. Speaker 2 He's not. He's divorced and he has kids. Oh, I did a deep dive on this man, the guy in Italy, the main character you. Because when I was in Italy the last time for my grandma, I was like, maybe I'll just bump into him at a bar. Speaker 1 I just bump into him casually. Speaking of Italy, I am determined. I want to go on vacation. I was looking this morning. Places to go. Speaker 2 Where do we go? Speaker 1 I feel like we should honestly like talk to like a travel agent or something, just like pick their brain because they know all of like the upcoming places. Like I don't want to do something that's, you know, like been done a million times and it's kind of like outplayed. Like I want to get ahead of the curve. Like I heard, I mean not that my Orca is not ahead of the curve and hasn't been done a million times, but I feel like that would be really fun. Speaker 2 That would be so fun, but like you said, we need I need someone else to plan it 'cause I can't plan for. Speaker 1 Sure I feel like I I literally emailed like 2 travel agents today asking them but I feel like my orca would be like have you seen photos? Speaker 2 In the Orca, I want to go, but we need to set a deadline by when we're going to buy tickets for this because I feel like we're just going to keep putting it on. Or Greece, Greece. I've been seeing so many people in Greece and it looks amazing. Speaker 1 Yeah, I also, it's like off topic, I do want to go to Lake Powell. Speaker 2 So random. Speaker 1 Not the same. Speaker 2 But where is that Arizona? Yeah, OK. Speaker 1 And you get a houseboat and you get, like, all of your friends. I mean, I it would be ideal if you could, like, have somebody there, like, cooking for you because it's so much work to plan. Yeah. But even if we did. Speaker 2 I'm there. Speaker 1 It's so fun. You get like a big boat, you get your houseboat, then your speedboat. You get jet skis, like tubes. It's so much fun. Speaker 2 I want to learn how to like. What's the stand up water thing like wakeboard? Speaker 1 Yes, wakeboard is not with the rope. You don't do the rope. Speaker 2 Right, well, I want a rope. I think I need something to hold on to. Speaker 1 You have to have a wake a a boat that has a wake so that you ride in the wake. That's basically surfing, but in the lake. Speaker 2 So we need a a wake boat and a chef. Speaker 1 And yes. Speaker 2 And A and a trip planner. Speaker 1 And an event travel agent, I don't know, the travel agent would be like, yeah, I'll plan your trip to like Powell, but like maybe Europe. Can you plan our trip? Speaker 2 Can you get us? Speaker 1 Also maybe like. Speaker 2 Step up your game. Speaker 1 You know, somebody the other day was talking to, they were talking about like, Havasu, was it you? And I was like, please don't go like it's so. Speaker 2 My best friend from college, she was like begging me, begging me to go because she moved. Speaker 1 So should you go to like Havasu, you're without a boyfriend, you're coming back with like either AIDS or being pregnant or you're going missing someone's someone sex trafficking. Speaker 2 No, I'm terrifying and in my what I do, which this is so bad, but like when my ex took me to lightning in a bottle and I what is it lightning in a bottle? What is this like? It's like a music festival in Bakersfield. Speaker 1 Why are you in Bakersfield? Ever. Speaker 2 Wait, Alex sleeping in a tent? Speaker 1 Wait, this is your recent. Speaker 2 Me, yeah. And I'm like Four Seasons. Like, I like hotels. I crashed out so bad. I I literally called my mom and I'm like, can you pick me up? But what? What do I do in those situations? Speaker 1 The shit that we do for low quality men. I did. I tell you when I went with I went with my ex. This is so embarrassing. Speaker 2 Wait, I think I know what you're you know what? Speaker 1 I'm saying coming back from Vegas and we, we're hey, let's not fly because that would be stupid to buy a $200 plane ticket to Vegas and back. Let's take a camper van, a Sprinter van, a Sprinter van, Drive that valet, the Sprinter van. Speaker 2 So bad I cannot. Speaker 1 And then on the way home, he's too tired to drive all the way. So let's stop at a truck stop with like pedophiles and meth addicts and park in the van and sleep. I, I literally said I was like, I'm scared, I'm terrified. He's like, don't worry, you're safe with me. I'm like, am I though? You're like. Speaker 2 This just doesn't align with the personal brand. Speaker 1 I'm not OK with any of this. Speaker 2 So bad, so bad and. Speaker 1 Then I'm like, and then I feel like in those situations I'm trying to like be like the cool. Like it's because I'm not like honestly, I am. I am super go with the flow and I don't care about like it doesn't have to be 5, you know, four stars, 5 stars. But like the sprinter band crazy. Oh, literally sleeping at a truck stop in a sprinter band from Vegas. Like it's not even like we're cross country. Speaker 2 A tent in Bakersfield, Alex. A tent. I I'm not kidding. I woke up and there was a bug crawling across his face. I lost it. I literally lost your face. No, not mine. I'm gonna throw up. And I was like, I need to get out of here like I cannot. Did you stay? No. We left. There was air conditioner in the tent and he was like, you have everything that you need. I'm like, I'm sorry, but I just don't think I'm the right person for you. Oh. Speaker 1 He might not be alive. Speaker 2 This is terrifying. Speaker 1 So was he like your prima Donna wanting to leave like you're too bougie? Or was he like, hey, I get it? Speaker 2 And like, it just wasn't my it, it, it wasn't my like vibe. It just wasn't my choice. Speaker 1 Don't you want to be with the guy that like you're on the same wavelength with? It's like him being like, we're not doing that. Like, I want to travel a certain way so that you don't have to come across as being the like. Speaker 2 Bougie, whatever. And The thing is like, I don't need. I can, I'm I'm pretty like I could be pretty. Go with the world. Like for sure. You just went to for sure whatever. Yeah, but like a tent in Bakersfield. Speaker 1 No, that's that's really. I'll do a tent like. Speaker 2 I just won't do a tent I don't think. Speaker 1 Maybe not a tent. Speaker 2 No, I'm good off the tent like a very, very hot airport camping like yeah, RV. Speaker 1 Like by a lake? Speaker 2 Yeah, I'll do that. And then I have like a bed and air conditioner like I want a bathroom on site like you know, I'll. Speaker 1 Do that for a couple of days and then maybe there's a hotel close by also, You know what I mean? Like my dad invited us to go to Montana. Speaker 2 That sounds fun. Speaker 1 And there's something called like a there's this festival, like a poppy festival or cherry blossom festival. Something is supposed to be gorgeous. And Montana is like studying. I've seen pictures. I've never been. I want to go. So they're going to be there. They take their RV and they like travel around. They invited me to go and my sister and I was like, yeah, that sounds like really fun. And my dad's wife looked at me and she's like, you might want, there's a hotel close by. Like you don't have to have an RV. And I'm like, maybe you're right, but also I could. Speaker 2 Yeah, an RV and especially like if you're with your family and friends, like if I'm with my family and my friends that I know, like we're collectively sharing this experience together, I can do it. But like, right, yeah, yeah, like I can have fun like that sounds fun, right? But just. Speaker 1 I just need a shower. Like I need there to be a shower. Like if we're not going out to dinners and we're not if we're just literally living on the lake and like barbecuing and whatever, I don't need to have a hotel room. Honestly not I'm not doing that for a week, but like a few days easy. Also I think the older I get, last time I camped by a lake I was 16 so it's probably not the same now at 36 but I've just. Speaker 2 Never been one with like you know if my survival skills ever need to be put to use, I shouldn't be on that trip like I just. Speaker 1 I feel like my survival skills are literally put to use like on a day-to-day basis. It's true like we do. Speaker 2 Have like resources, right? Like we have like a roof over our head. Speaker 1 Like you're very I'm like this too, and it's rare to meet people that are also very like resourceful, can like find a way, figure it the fuck out. Just figure it out. Speaker 2 I will figure it out, but I don't want to have to. Speaker 1 I this morning I was on the way, I was taking Jacob to school and he's like, Mommy, I'm going to be late. Can you just take me 'cause normally I take him to his dad's and he rides his bike 'cause his school's in the neighborhood. And this morning he's like, I think my bike is dead at my dad's just taking me straight to school. And I was like, OK, well then how are you going to get home? Because your dad is supposed to pick you up. He's going to be working normally he'd rides his bike come from school. And so he calls his dad and they're like literally arguing on the phone like 2 little kids and his dad's like, you need to come get ride your bike. I can't pick you from school. And Jacob's like why not? My bike is dead. I'm like, you guys are arguing and where's the solution? So I said what if you drop off a helmet at school which is 2 minutes from his house because I'm taking Jacob to school. If you just drop off a helmet, maybe he can ride on the back of another kids bike home from school. Then you can stay at work. You can come back later. And he's like I'm like you guys are literally arguing like what's the solution? Stop yapping. Speaker 2 I wonder if it's like our brains like we have ADHD or something. It's like a hyper whatever. Speaker 1 We think, but I've. Speaker 2 Noticed it because I'm. I'm the same way as you. It's like even in any kind of like conflict, right? Like relationship conflict, whatever it is, my brain is like, what's the solution? How do we fix the problem? And how do we like, you know, move forward 100% instead of like dwelling in the moment? What are we going to do? What are going to? Speaker 1 Be it's like survival. Speaker 2 Yeah, like when we went to when we went to Coachella and we pulled up to the gate, Yeah, in the middle of the night, Yes. And no one was answering yes. I'm like, OK, what are we going to do? I'm like, we could sleep in the cyber truck if we have to. For sure. Let's phone a friend. Let's see what we can do. Speaker 1 And it always works out. Speaker 2 It always does work out when you have the mentality that it's going to work out. It's going to work out, which is what I think I need to keep telling myself in this like season of my life right now where I'm like kind of like weirdly sad that like I feel like I don't know what's going on where, where to move, Like it's just going to it's going to work out. Speaker 1 I feel though, too, like are you, you're like a relationship person. I am right. And so you're not in a relationship right now, which I like you better when you are in a relationship, like I feel like that's good for you, a healthy. Speaker 2 Relationship and it's but it's hard because which, like, I don't know how much I can say. There's a lot that's gone on and I've gone back to things that I should not have. But people like I trust the people in my life that are like my close people, right? Like there's few, but they're like my family, right? Yeah, you and like a few other people. And whenever someone tells me something like you need to be alone for a little bit, Fiona, you need to stop talking to this person. You need to get this person out of your life. I take that in so much. And so then I like, you know, operate with that in my head that I need to do that. But the in this not stupid, but in this TV show that I was watching last night, the girl said something like as a joke, but I was like, Oh my God, that makes so much sense. She's like, I'm just a girl. So I literally have to think about everybody else's feelings before I know what my own are. And I'm like, wait, that is literally me. Speaker 1 Shit. Speaker 2 I know. Speaker 1 That's true, but it's also I think the older you get, if you're doing like if you're learning and you're growing and you're taking every experience and you walk away from that with like, hey, what can I learn from that experience? I think that you start to find balance in caring about other people and their feelings and how what you do and say effects them. But you also the older you get, you just have less of a like fucks to give. And so you're like, I also, it's my life and it's fleeting and I need to put myself first in a lot of situations. Because when you do put yourself first, you're actually you end up being better for the people around you. And it's funny too, because I feel like the girls like I've got a big heart. You've got a really big heart. I think sometimes we can come across and I don't know about you, but me as like stoic and like hard, like tough exterior, which I am. But once you get to know me and like, I am very maternal and I care about people and we're the ones who get into the toxic relationships because we put them before us. And it's like, you don't see these really, you know, tough, bad ass chicks who have all these strong boundaries, getting into these toxic relationships with men and going back because you, you get sucked in because you feel bad and because you have a big heart and you love them. And you're like, I want to protect you. I want to save you or I want, you know, to make it work. I just care about. I care. Yeah. Speaker 2 I know, and it's such a bad. Speaker 1 And they take advantage. Those people take. Speaker 2 Advantage and it's so frustrating too because like I was telling you the other day, like I feel like I have grown so much as a person to where I can recognize you know when I'm being manipulated or whatever it is, but with certain person it still happens to me and then I'm like. Speaker 1 No what I. Speaker 2 Said to you the. Speaker 1 Other day you can recognize when you're being manipulated. You're really good with non intimate relationships and noticing when you're like, do you think she's acting a certain way? And you have very strong intuition and you're usually not wrong about that stuff. And but once you're, what I've noticed is when you're in a relationship with somebody or somebody has like you in a vulnerable position, 'cause you're like, oh, I care about you, so I'm vulnerable. That's when the curtain comes over your eyes and most people, even mine, and you're like, oh shit, I I was being. Speaker 2 Manipulated. I'm blind, yeah, because. Speaker 1 You're like love blind. Speaker 2 Yeah, I know. I was talking to my best friend from college the other day and I was just like catching her up on everything because she's like, what are you doing? She knows that I was like doing. Speaker 1 Those conversations are so hard because you're like, I have to catch you up on so much. Speaker 2 I know. And I'm like, just sit, sit down. Yeah, Like, let's get into it. And I was crying. You're just telling her that I was upset with myself because I'm like, I don't know why I went back to this person right? When I feel like I've, you know, grown. I like, why would I do that? And she's like, Fiona, what would you tell me if I did that? You know, like, it really makes me sad that you're talking like this about yourself because you're not doing anything. Speaker 1 And you give good advice. Speaker 2 You know, she's like, it's OK, you just have to move forward and, like, recognize it. But like, you're so angry and mad at yourself and calling yourself stupid. But if I did this, what? How would you talk to me? And I was like, oh shit, you're so right, like. Speaker 1 Yeah, and give yourself grace like we don't give ourselves nearly enough grace. And I know I say that and I preach that, and it's so much easier said than done, obviously. But I think also having people in your life that like, I think we've talked about this before, like when you have so much anxiety or you're like, shit, I did this or I did that. And then the person next to you is like, Oh yeah, I can see why. Or it's like, wait a minute. Like you don't have to be supportive, but you also like don't need to shit all over me when I'm already in an anxiety spiral. It's like, you know, there's people that I, I don't know. There's also people that I know. I called you a few weeks ago and I was like, I'm having like the worst anxiety. Like I want to just jump off of a bridge. And you were like Alex and you calmed me down. You're like, it's fine. Like you are not, you're not a horrible person. But then if I would have called somebody like you know who to sometimes call in those moments, Sometimes my mom is like, you never know what you're going to get. Sometimes she'll help me and then other times she's like, well, why the fuck did you do that? Literally like I don't say to hear right now you. Speaker 2 Know I exactly, I know exactly what you mean, but it's because when I'm I know exactly how you feel. Yeah. And when I'm in those positions I'm like, I just need someone to tell me this. Speaker 1 You can empathize. Speaker 2 In your head, it's so much bigger than it really is. And it's OK, you know, even if it is something big. But the other day, like I told my mom out and called my mom like and I haven't been really like going out or doing anything recently. But the other day I went out to dinner with some friends and I didn't eat anything before and like we were waiting for the table so we went to the bar whatever. Like I got a little bit. Speaker 1 Tipsy. Speaker 2 More drunk than I wanted to, but I was fine. I wasn't sloppy or anything. And then the next day I had to be up at 8:00 AM for an inspection. And so I'm like on the road to my inspection, not feeling good at all, right? And I call my mom, and I was like, you know, I'm just kind of disappointed in myself. And she's like, well, maybe you need rehab. Speaker 1 But she's your mom, so she also doesn't want to be support too supportive If she thinks that you're she's going to be more protective where she's like, if you are feeling like you've done something bad, like I, she wants you to be safe. She wants you to like protect yourself. You know what I mean? I. Speaker 2 Do I know? But it's like. Speaker 1 She's got bias. Speaker 2 It's what we were talking about at dinner the other day, like with our moms. Like why do you have to say that? Speaker 1 I just, at least you like know what you're going to get with her. At least she's consistent. My mom sometimes will be like, yeah, fuck it, whatever. And then sometimes she'll be like, you're a piece of shit. I'm like, which make up your mind. It's. Speaker 2 Better than What did my mom say I look like at dinner? Sick. Ariana Grande. Speaker 1 The the recent Ariana Grande, well, because you've got skinny, you got too skinny. Speaker 2 I mean I I gained it all back in. Speaker 1 Like, but also in the moment, don't say it like, you know how like if you're somewhere and you're, you know, or you're already out, you've already left the house and you're going to dinner and someone's like, oh, is that what you're wearing? You're like, no, let's drive back home and I'll change. Speaker 2 What did Jakey say to you? He said to you once. Mommy, you look like you have a black eye. Speaker 1 I don't know. Yeah, I look like I did my makeup. And he's like, you look like you have a black eye. He also has made comments about, like, what I wear. And he's like, what are you wearing? You look like a little like, And I'm like, oh God, you're so your dad right now, like his dad. He's just like a little like that's you're going to wear that because he was like jealous and controlling and I'm like, please don't like I want to raise him differently than his dad. Speaker 2 Like tell me I look beautiful. Yes, like. Speaker 1 That's all I need, My sister's son always tells her when she gets dressed, he's like, Mommy, you look so pretty or you look so beautiful. I'm like, Oh my God. Speaker 2 Literally like I think the last time someone told me that I burst into the cry. Like you start crying so much. Speaker 1 It really does. It makes my day. It does also like if I'm dating somebody and we're getting ready, like we're to go somewhere and if I come out of the room and they don't say wow, you look nice or that looks good or you're so hot or you're so beautiful, I will literally turn around and go change until I get the reaction I want when I come out of the room. Speaker 2 You're like and it put because you put so much effort into it, but it's not what you want to be with your man because you want them to Yeah, you want them to think that you look pretty 100% and then when you don't. Speaker 1 Yeah. And when you're with somebody that you know, compliments you and then they don't, you're like, Oh my God. Speaker 2 Do I look like a bridge troll? Literally look terrifying. Speaker 1 So you think I'm did? Speaker 2 Not hit. Speaker 1 So you think I'm ugly? Speaker 2 I'm not going. I'm not going. Speaker 1 Exactly. I think too, like I've been, I've had conversations with other guys that I've like dated it and I'm like, well, why don't you like if you think I look pretty in that moment, like why don't you say anything? And I'm like, I just, it's like hard for me because sometimes it's like I'm so I'm thrown off guard and I'm like, OK, like, suck it up. Speaker 2 But that's the thing, like we like want a confident man that's not afraid to say that 100% I look beautiful and if I don't let me know too right, like. Speaker 1 If I look a little small, no. Speaker 2 In a good way. Speaker 1 I also like, yeah, I want the person that's going to tell me if I've got like something on my face or. Speaker 2 Like 100%. Speaker 1 Like I Oh my God, Oh my God, I was going, I was out of town and I was going and I packed in a rush. And I also like whenever you go to a new place, like usually you over pack because you're like, I don't fucking know what to expect. Like are we going to be doing like, are we going to be golfing? Are we going to be laying by the beach? Are we going to be having a going to a restaurant, a nice restaurant, a casual restaurant or are we going to be going on a hike? I didn't do that in this situation and I was again in a rush. Speaker 2 Story of my life. Speaker 1 And I was complaining about like to this, you know, person, I don't have shit to wear, you know, And so I was like, Oh well, are we going to dinner? And they wanted to go to the Country Club. And all I had was like leather shorts stop. And instead of like telling me, hey, like you can't wear that, we have to go somewhere else, 'cause I would have freaked out and been like, Oh my God, see, I have nothing to wear. Like, I hate being unprepared. They were just like, oh, we'll just go somewhere else, you know? And I'm like, OK, fine. And I like that you handled it, but still, I just hate not. Knowing what to expect. Oh exactly. And then I'm like, oh, so you think I'm trashy because I have leather shorts and you want to go to the Country Club? Speaker 2 I being in Cape Cod this weekend, all I packed was like all these the cutest outfits but for like 80° weather, right? I I don't know why I just didn't think to like look anything up. I. Speaker 1 Told you it was going to be cold, didn't I? I thought we knew that. Speaker 2 I was like, just go, go, go. I had to get my hair extensions put back in. Like there's a. Speaker 1 Lot when you were in like survival mode. Speaker 2 And I wore like an Aritzia sweatsuit on the on the plane. That was my main outfit for like 5 days. And at one point, like, and I loved everyone there, but at one point someone was like, would love to see what you look like. Not in a sweat suit, Fiona. Speaker 1 Watch. Turn on the TV, bitch. Watch. Speaker 2 I promise I can do better but it was so cold and when I'm cold like and the worst thing is like not being prepared like if I don't have a good outfit, I don't like like I'm just not in a good mood. Hell no. My outfit in the way that I look. This sounds so stupid, but it carries so much weight. If I feel good and I feel like I like right now I feel like big like swollen EW like I'm just not the best person to be 100%. But if I'm like 2 lbs lighter, you know, new hair, I'm like, Oh my God, like, you know, I'm making friends everywhere I go. Speaker 1 100% it's confident, it is feel. Speaker 2 Better it is. It's wild, which is important I guess. Fake it till you make it right. Speaker 1 Who? Speaker 2 Fake it till you make it. Speaker 1 Yeah, but you have to. But you still in the back of your head you're like fuck, I don't even like you don't want to be there. You want to leave early. You don't want to talk to people. You're self-conscious. You're. Speaker 2 Not vibrating at like a good frequency 100%. Speaker 1 I also think that like when you're like, I know also it's hard for me to my weight fluctuates and so I'm like, well, shit, like I've got the outfits that I can wear when my weight like when puffy and then the outfits that I can wear. So I'm also like, well, should I even go shopping now because I don't want to be this weight. So let's wait until I get to where I want to be. But I will say like my closets are so full. Like I literally have hanging racks in every room of my house but I always gravitate towards the same fucking outfits and same clothes, same tops, same jeans, same shoes and I'm like OK do I just keep buying other stuff that might not get worn or do I just like buy 10 of the same things in every different colour? Speaker 2 I know I will say the one thing that helps me whenever I come to Orange County or go to my mom's store, she'll dress me and it's not what I would usually just like put on and I really like it. Speaker 1 It's like having a personal shopper. Speaker 2 Exactly, I need it like I, I and. Speaker 1 It's a lost art too because I feel like a lot of places now everything is like on online shopping. Like I went to fucking Zara. I'm sorry. Speaker 2 Oh my God, Zara's. Speaker 1 Zara is the worst, the best fucking clothes but the worst place to shop in person. It's awful. I'm like are you Zara? Are you paying your employees to be assholes? Literally Like why are they mean to me? Speaker 2 There's not even a cashier and they just they're like looking in the. Speaker 1 Corner like judging me. I'm like, oh, can I try this on? They're like, sure. I'm like where right here? Do I just take off my clothes and literally love the store? Can you get me a room? Speaker 2 I needed another size and I had on like, you know, no shoes, no bra, right? And I'm like, do you guys have this in another size? They're like, Oh yeah, you can go get it. So now I'm prancing through Zara with my titties, like flying out, no shoes on, right? God only knows who I'm going to see grabbing this size. Like I look like a homeless person rummaging through all the sizes. Like I want to get back to the room. Literally. It's awful. They don't care. They don't. Speaker 1 They don't care. It's funny too, because I and then you check out yourself. Speaker 2 You check yourself out, hope that you don't leave any of the tags on. Like what? I'm the I am the consumer. I shouldn't have to be undoing the things. Speaker 1 And the prices aren't like that cheap to where you're like, Oh no, I'm working for the establishment now, packing my own clothes and, you know, ringing myself up. Speaker 2 It needs to be studied. Speaker 1 But I will say then I was when I was at I was in Scottsdale a few weeks ago and I my first time going to an Eritsia recently saying literally obsessed and like it could not have been a more 180 difference from Zara. And the clothes are so freaking cute. And the customer service, I'm like everyone here is so nice. Speaker 2 Yeah, that's like my mom's store. Like they genuinely they care and they bring you things and like they respect your. Speaker 1 Like, oh, this would look good on you. Like what about did you try this or do you need a different size? It's called customer service, especially in that field of like clothing and styling it makes. I can't even imagine what a big, big what, how big of a difference that makes for those stores. Speaker 2 100%. Speaker 1 Clearly, Zara doesn't give a. Speaker 2 Shit, yeah, no Zara like. Speaker 1 Zara depends on influencers if you like to sell their clothes. Because I am like as from a consumer. If I'm following somebody and they're like, oh, I love this shirt and look at my pants. I'm like OK, like post the link because I'll buy it, you know what I mean? Speaker 2 It's like you all, you always know that Zara is going to have like a few things that you might like. You know, when I go into Nordstrom like this, I know that there's going to be things that I like, but there's so many things and like, I don't know which department to start in. Like it's just it's not good for my brain. Like Zara. I'm like, OK, I like know that it's like there's not tons and tons of things, but like there's enough to where like I can, you'll figure it out. Speaker 1 I think that and I think that Nordstrom also, it depends like who their shopper is because the Nordstrom here I'm like you guys need to figure it out like your shopper is really bad. Speaker 2 Like. Speaker 1 Whoever shops for them, you know, for the women's department. And I'm like, some of your shit is so ugly. And then you go to, you go to Arizona or you go to New York and you're like at, you know, Chicago and you're like, Oh my God, this Nordstrom is insane. Speaker 2 Yeah, European czaras are good, I'll say. Speaker 1 That oh, that's the first time I ever heard of czar like. Speaker 2 15 years ago we need to book this trip because I think we just need to OK to. Speaker 1 Go. We need to book our trip. You need to figure out if you're moving. Speaker 2 I know. Speaker 1 But I don't think you are. Speaker 2 I don't. Speaker 1 Know I don't think you are maybe never seen. I don't know. I need to figure out if I'm what I'm doing, if I'm starting A-Team, if I'm apparently a negotiating a Selling Sunset contract. Speaker 2 I'm all for Alex team Alex Hall and then we have our own show. Speaker 1 It's already my e-mail. Speaker 2 It is exactly and like we're so much more fun than all that. Speaker 1 Definitely more fun. Speaker 2 There's a lot more going on, a lot of business. Speaker 1 Like, yeah, but do you want your personal like I for me, I'm like, I do not want to air my personal life and laundry ever again on television. Speaker 2 I mean, I feel like I, I feel like. Speaker 1 It could be fun to keep it real good. Remember $1,000,000? You probably don't. You're too young. When I was like 15, I used to watch $1,000,000 listing and I was like, this is the shit. Like it would show you the negotiations, it would show you like what goes on. I liked that and I thought that's what our show was going to be and it really wasn't. And I get it, like not every client wants to be on the show. Like a lot of my clients don't. But, and maybe it doesn't just doesn't get the ratings, I don't know. But that was fun. Like I would love to do a show like that where it's actually about work in real estate. Speaker 2 Exactly like I this last deal that I did and there was like there was a lot of drama with just the whole transaction. One of my friends that was there with me while I'm like taking phone calls doing the whole thing. She was like, you need to record this Fiona, and you need to have this documented. This is what people are interested in. Like, tell the story of like, what's going on? Speaker 1 I think there's too much legality because my, I've had so many times when I'm doing the same thing or I'm negotiating or I'm on the phone and there's a there's so many hiccups in real estate. We have to reach solutions oriented. We have to like work for the deal. We have to figure it out, keep like cool, calm, collected and know your shit. And everyone's like, Oh my God, like every like my family when they're watching me like do a deal, they're like, this is fascinating. And nobody is able to sit there and experience that first handedly. And so it's like, but it's just not enough drama for to I guess, I guess for a show. Speaker 2 Too. I mean like. Speaker 1 Maybe we do like an HGTV show because maybe the people will. I feel like Netflix and all of these other people who they're like, we want the drama, we want the drama, we want the drama. Speaker 2 The drama is inevitable like there is. I don't have drama like with my friends but there's drama in real estate client. This is such an ego driven industry so egotistical that the drama is insane. Speaker 1 I feel like that's also why a lot of people feel, I mean, there's one thing about of being like territorial and like protecting what's yours and what you've worked for in this like line of work, of course. But the ego thing, I'm like dude, just chill. Speaker 2 And the clients have egos. Speaker 1 Oh yeah. Especially the higher price points for child. It's so wild. Yeah, it is wild. Speaker 2 But yeah, I know, I think people would be interested and they would like actually like to watch. Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah. Well anyways, well, thanks for being here. I love you. It's always fun chatting with you. Hope you guys enjoyed the episode. Make sure you like and subscribe and we'll see you guys next week.
